Obvious But Overlooked - Pastor J.D. Howell 7-5-2026

To the book of Luke. May I direct your attention

to the first chapter. We will be reading verses number

ten through twenty one. Brother Nathaniel Luke, chapter number twenty four.

You'll be reading verses number twenty five through thirty of

that chapter. Brother Jesse Matthew chapter number seven, and versus

number seven and eight. Brother Nathaniel Luke, chapter number twenty four,

and verses number twenty five through thirty, My brother, Then

he said, under the m old fools and slow of

heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken, ought

not Christ to have suffered these things and to enter

into his glory. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets,

he expounded under them and all the scriptures of things

concerning himself. And they drew nigh onto the village, whither

they went, and he made as though he would have

gone further, but they constrained him, saying goodbye with us,

for it is toward eve in the day is far spent.

And he went into terry with them, and it came

to pass as he sat at me, when with them

he took bread and blessed it and break it, and

gave to them Jesus was walking with them, and they

did not recognize him. I want to preach a message

the Holy Ghost titled Obvious but overlooked Brother Jesse Matthew

chapter number seven, Versus number seven and eight.

My brother, ask and it shall be given.

You seek and you shall find, knock, and it shall

be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth, and

he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it

shall be opened.

After hearing tongues and interpretation, and after reading the Word

of God, it is clear to me to see that

there are some things that people in this building need

to do in order to receive the Holy Ghost, baptism,

or perhaps deliverance from something in your life. Let's stand

to read the Golden Text Luke, chapter number one, reading

verses number ten through twenty one. The Bible says, in

the whole multitude of the people were praying without at

the time of incense, and there appeared unto him an

angel of the Lord standing on the right side of

the altar of incense. And when Zachariah saw him, he

was troubled and fear fell upon him. But the angel

said unto him, fear not Zacharias, for thy prayer is heard,

and thy wife, Elizabeth, shall bear Thee a son, and

thou shalt call his name John, and thou shalt have

joy and gladness, And many shall rejoice at his birth,

for he shall be great in the sight of the Lord,

and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink.

And he shall be.

Filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

And many of the children of Israel shall he turn

to the Lord, their God, and he shall go before

him in the spirit and the power of Elias, to

turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and

the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make

ready a people prepared for the Lord. And Zachariiz said,

unto the Angel, whereby shall I know this? For I

am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

And the Angel answering, said unto him, I am Gabriel,

the stand in the presence of God, and am sent

to speak unto thee and to show THEE these glad tidings.

And behold, thou shalt be dumb and not able to

speak until the day that these things shall be performed,

because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled

in their season. Is there a reason why they're dumb

and death? There could be because of a silly, if

not stupid question, which is our text verse number eighteen,

and Zachariz said, unto the Angel, whereby shall I know this?

Whereby shall I know this? Old God, Old God, heavenly Father.

We love and we praise you. We thank you for

the opportunity to be in your house tonight. We pray

God that you would annoyt this thy people, set a

guard at their ears, help them to be able to hear.

Help them to hear what the Spirit of God says

or of the church through your word.

God, not of my words, but of your words.

We pray, annoying our mouth, God, help us to say

the things you would have us to say. Annoying these words,

we pray, We pray God, that these sayings would go

below the shoulders, saturate the heart, mind, soul, and spirit.

Let us hear and heed, and may we depart this

place joyfully and not sorrowly.

In Jesus's name.

Amen, as you're being seid to look at your neighbor

and say, hey, neighbor, you're overlooking.

It, It's obvious.

Our text is found in a New Testament book of

the Holy Bible.

The title bears the name of its author.

Wouldn't you agree that the authorship of this gospel is obvious? Again,

would not you agree that the authorship of this gospel

is obvious? As obvious as the Gospel of Matthew is

named after its author, and the Gospel of Mark is

named after its author, and the Gospel of John is

named after its author. Wouldn't you agree that it's obvious

and playing for anyone to see and understand that this

gospel was named after its author. You see, the beloved

physician and companion of the Great Apostle Paul, was fully

persuaded that Jesus Christ was the long awaited Messiah, the

son of the Living God, the Redeemer. The Christ Child's

burn earth was foretold by the Great Prophet Isaiah hundreds

of years prior to his appearance and arrival. In fact,

about six hundred years prior to the blessed Christ Child's

arrival and appearance his birth, the Great Prophet Isaiah was

a preaching and the Spirit of God moved upon him,

and he told of this wonderful thing that was forthcoming,

and it came to pass just as the preacher or

the prophet had proclaimed a prophesiede. It should have been

obvious to every person around the Virgin Mary that she

had conceived of the Holy Ghost, and it should have

been obvious to more people than a few shepherds when

it was noised abroad that an angelic host had made

the announcement of his arrival and appearing.

You see, there was.

Good news of great joy being heralded by heavenly messengers.

But somehow this event went missed or overlooked since the route.

And I can't believe that hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of.

People missed the main event of the hour.

Somehow, this event, Brother Samuel Howell was overlooked by those

who were distracted doing other things, just like people in

this building tonight have been distracted from their personal experience

by other things. In the Book of John, chapter number

one and verse number eleven, we find the written record

of Jesus coming unto his own and his own receiving him.

Not the Bible said concerning those that received him to them,

he gave power to become the sons of God. There

is no doubt, this opportunity was available and presented to

whomsoever will, But not everybody noticed who was standing before them.

Not everybody recognized that Jesus was Christ, the.

Son of the Living God.

One time, while speaking to his disciples, Jesus asked him,

He said, whom do you say that I am?

And a lot of them knew who he was, while.

Others said, the report is that you are like Isaiah,

or you're like Jeremiah or Elijah or one of the

other prophets. But Jesus asked Peter. He said, but whom

do you say that I am? And Peter said, well,

most assuredly, without a doubt, thou art Christ, the Son

of God. And Jesus said, you're blessed. You're blessed, for

flesh and blood has not revealed this unto you. What

he was saying is you are seeing through spiritual eyes,

and you recognize that I have come.

I'm not willing that any should.

Perish, And there's no doubt that my Father has sent

me upon this space of earth to redeem people of

their sin and to save people from their sin. So,

brother Nathaniel, not everybody that should have been saved were saved.

Not everybody that should have been healed was healed. Not

everybody that should have been was delivered, Brother Nathaniel, But

he came any way.

Thank God that he came any way. Thank God for

the move.

Of the Holy Ghost that we have had in recent

weeks in our services. I thank God for the way

the Spirit of God has moved around here today in

the morning and the evening service.

We have been able to detect, to detempt that the.

Power of God is in this place, and he's present

to save souls.

He's present to heal bodies.

He's present to open spiritually blinded eyes and spiritually deafened ears.

But I don't believe that everybody will have years to

hear what the spirit of God is saying under this

group of people. I don't believe that everybody will notice

the exactly what God is doing among this group of people.

You see, He came among them, and they missed the Messiah.

They missed the messenger and his message. They overlooked the

obvious that.

He was there with them. The very name Emmanuel means

that God is with us, and some missed it. How

did that happen?

I am convinced that if Jesus Christ walked into a

lot of churches throughout the world tonight, including this one,

that he would be overlooked by some. But somebody like

Sister Irish Wootin, or Sister Charity Howell, or perhaps a

brother like Brother Richard Jacob, would recognize there is something

different about this man, and they would begin to study

this man and listen to the words of his mouth,

and watch his behaviors, attitude, and actions, and conclude, the.

Truly God is in this place.

Can I tell you that God can be in a

place and people not even recognize him? For one man said,

truly the Lord was in this place, and I knew

it not. So there's some people in this building tonight

who are overlooking the obvious. These people were in the

presence of real royalty and they didn't see him for

who he was. They were in the presence of the healer,

and they went away unhealed. They were in the presence

of the Savior, and they walked away lost.

You see, recently, Sister Howell and I.

We took a trip, and while on that trip in

a remote place where there were only a handful of people,

a celebrity from the US approached Sister Howell and I,

and while he was approaching us, I recognized this familiar face.

You see, I had seen his face beside a headline

many times. I had seen his face on televisions in

restaurants and people's places of business. Immediately I recognized the

person as Shaquille O'Neill. Sister Howel and I were enjoying

a nice red snapper and some mango saucer and the

rise and stuff that goes along with that, and his

yacht pulled up right there at that private location where

Sister Howell and I was.

How didn't make a big ado about it.

I looked at Sister Howell after some time, and I said,

I believe that is the famous Shakuille O'Neill.

She said, who is that?

Said, shaq do you remember him when we were in

our early twenties. He's as famous as Michael Jordan. She said, no,

I'm sorry. That name does not mean anything to me.

That face does not mean anything to me. There was

a dozen other people nearby in that other country, and

that's all that was present, and only one among that

dozen who recognized the famous American celebrity.

And she began to call his name out, and he put.

His finger up to his lip and hushed her and

was letting her know, don't make a big ado about this,

don't draw any unnecessary or unwanted attention to me. I

just want to get off this yacht, walk down this dock,

go into that store, buy some candy, some fudge, some

potato chips, and a hot dog, and get back on

my yacht with my manager and my girlfriend and sell

back away.

Hey, come on, I'm telling you.

There was only a handful of people that ended up

recognizing that celebrity. If I had not have noticed him,

it wouldn't have made any difference to me.

For when I did recognize him.

I knew who he was, but he did not mean

anything to me. He really only meant one thing to

one person. That was prison. She went on and on

and on and on about him. She come to my table,

she said, did you know who that was? And I

said yes. He said, well, I played basketball on this

island for many, many years, And.

She said, he is my hero.

I had no idea that my American hero would be

right here on this private part of this island today. Listen,

there was a lot of people on that island, who

did not know who he was. I'm telling you, Jesus

came unto his own and his old received him.

Not their very own.

Creator, the one in whom they live and move and

have their being, the one that allows them to in

Hell and ex Hell is present at this time, and

they're not recognizing him because they.

Are dangerously distracted.

Somebody, though, knew who he was, and it was his cousin,

John the Baptizer, and John the Baptizer is pointing him

out and saying, behold the lamb of God, which taketh

away the sin of the world.

And I want to talk a little bit.

About John the Baptizer's daddy, Zachariiser, who had been busy

in the temple, that one that had been praying and

seeking the Lord. The Bible says than our golden texting

that Zachariah said, hunt to the angel Gabriel. Whereby shall

I know this? For I'm an old man and my

wife stricken in years. When I read these verses in

this scripture this weekend, I felt like I was overlooking

something or someone. I felt like something was missing. I

just didn't know what, And so I said, God, what

is that you're trying to show me about this first

chapter of Luca. I could just about quote it, I

could preach from it about any time you asked me

to what is it that you're trying to point out

to me?

And then I'm.

Begin to realize the Holy Ghost was drawing my attention

to zachariahs and just how blind he was and how

he was over exactly what God was doing or.

Had done for him.

You see, this man is religious, he's a priest. He's

inside of a holy place, and he's a holy man.

And because of his prayers, because of his prayers, God

dispatches a heavenly holiness messenger named Gabriel, an archangel comes

to this man, Zacharias, and he appears in front of him,

and he has a special delivery for Zacharias. This is

exactly what Zacharias needs to hear. It's an answer to many,

many prayers, and Zacharias is overlooking something by the Jesse.

Look at the way Zacharias responds to the arch angel

Gabri's message, whereby shall I know this?

Are you kidding me?

That's like verbless slapping the Angel of God in the face.

You see this man's cheese has slipped his crackers, he's

missing the whole box of fries. How dare he requests

more ebedits or proof from the mighty archangel Gabriel. And

Gabriel pops back, and Gabriel response with this, I am Gabriel,

and i am an archangel.

I'm a messenger of.

The Almighty God, and I've come from the presence of

the Lord to tell you what will happen to you,

and that I've got the answer to your prayer. And

Zacharisa is looking for more evidence. And that's how some

of you have treated God. You verbally swapped him in

the faith. He said, seek me, and you have asked questions.

He said, seek me and you shall find. Ask her

and you shall receive. Knock her and it shall be

open to you. How easy Kenneth get to How pray

could it be? Could you imagine it? The apostles had

a win up to that upper room. Brother Samuel preached

about that this past Friday night, and Brother Jesse preached

about how we should be expecting him to do exceedingly

abundantly above all that we ask or think. Why would

we ask him for more proof? Could you imagine the

apostles getting up there and saying, we need more proof

and we need more evidence. And one of them would say,

why did we need more proof? And why do we

need more evidence? He told us to go back to Jerusalem.

He did tell him to terry. He didn't specifically say pray,

because he had already showed them by example what you

do when you terry. You wait, you occupy, you stay busy.

You don't just sit there and do nothing. He didn't

have to give further instructions. He didn't have to say,

terry and pray for ten hours a day and fast

every day of the week and push the plate back.

He didn't have to give them explicit instructions by the Philip,

no more than he had to give Noah any more instructions.

That brother Phillips said, God gave Noah basic instructions. And

I want you to know you already got the word

of God. You've already got the opportunity for a prayer rife.

You already got the opportunity to pray and fast and

drive the spirits of Hell away from you. If Jesus

said there are certain kinds that will go forward by

praying fast, and then there is no other explanation, no

other ebedence, that we'll be presented to a little old

minuscal you, Oh, how you can be delivered? Could you

imagine if they'd have been in upper room? Explained to me, God,

how can these things be? I said, God, you got

to show me what you're trying to show me. And

I saw it, and I realized, sacriice is overlooking the obvious.

It's obvious, but it's overlooked. I'm telling you there's holy

ghost field saints in this building that can tell you

you are so close to receiving the holy ghosts. And

you're asking, what else can I do? You just keep

doing what you're doing. You just keep waiting until he comes. You,

just keep tearing until he closes.

You with power.

There's no questions that need to be asked of your spouse,

there's no questions that need to be asked of your pastor.

In fact, a lot of people that have set course

with good intentions and would have found have been distracted

by people that offered to counsel them and to tell

them what they needed to do in order to receive

the holy ghost or in order to receive deliverance or

in order how to get something from.

The Lord, or how to have a prayer. Answer.

That seemed to me like a psychoasa that just got

comfortable asking questions.

And that's what I'm telling you.

You're not gonna get by forever just asking questions. You're

gonna have to do what God told you to do

and ask no more questions. What is up with the questions?

He said he would fail you.

And he will fail you if you do what he

said to do. Would God be true and every man

be a liar? What is up with the questions? God

send me? And that's enough?

Gabel said, I come from the presence of the Lord.

Do you not realize who's standing here this day?

And the archagel one that watch Lucifer get kicked out

of heaven?

My daddy.

Unbelief, Oh the ugliness of unbelief. You know what I despise.

And to test more than anything is an employee that

will ask me a bunch of questions, knowing they're just

simply trying to keep from going and doing what I

had told him to do. They know what their assignment is,

and they'll ask you ten to twenty questions on something

totally off topic or all together. I've told them before,

that's above our pay grade. I've told him before, that's

not in our department. I've told him before, that's for

another day. Right now, he said, seek me and you

shall find me. He said, search for me with all

of your heart, and you shall find me.

You shall seek for.

Me, You shall search for me and find me when

you have searched for me with all of your heart,

when you come to the place, husband and wife and

pastor and first lady and orders, answers don't matter. I'm

for spiritual leadership. I'm for spiritual authority. I'm for spiritual mentorship.

You know where you get most of that when the

preacher's preaching to the angel of the church of so

and so. Hey, come on, when your preacher is standing

up there as an angel of light, as a messenger

of light, lighting your pathway with the gospel like and

telling you all you gotta do is stop overlooking the obvious.

When God's spirit is moving, get in when the door

is open, brought through it.

When the power of God is present, go with it.

Sister Hale told me at lunch today. She said, Jeremy,

that message this morning was amazing. I'm not getting a

thrill out of it. I'm not feeling great about it.

I'm not smiling, I'm not bragging, I'm not granting. Because

the rest of it was this, She said, There is

no doubt deliverance was in the house. She said, the

power of God came through there at several different times.

She said, but some did not.

Move when he was moving, and they waited, just like

you preached last Sunday night, until the deadline had passed.

Do y'all remember what I preached last Sunday night?

I said, the children of Israel could have went into Canaan.

God said go, and they said no. Then later on

there's a battle or a squirmish on the hilltop, and

somebody did tell me that I did mention this, and

God told them not to go up to that hilltop,

not to fight that battle, lest they be smitten. God said,

don't you go, And they decided they would go, and

they went to the hilltop and they were smitt The

whole point is, who've been hearing when you want to hear?

It's selective hearing. You been seeing when you want to see,

it's a selective sight. Hey, come on now, I'm telling you,

I ain't gonna get the blessing for you. Zach A Rice,

pray for my brother sterrec If I've ever felt like

God wants to help somebody, it's been over the last

couple of weeks. But Zachariyce let in him an evil

heart of unbelief come up, and you know what, call

it whatever you want to. I call it punishment. He's

not allowed to speak any more words of doubt or unbelief.

And anybody's hearing for nine months, I'm sure it was

obvious to everybody else that Miss Elizabeth was expecting a child.

I remember when I was a child, we knew of

a many a mother that had more than six kids.

A lot of kids had mothers had ten, twelve, and

fourteen children. It was very common up until about the

seventies for people to have that many children, and them

a homemaking washboard mamas. They can look at a new

bride and they knew she was expecting before she was expecting,

And me, being the observant little boy that I was,

I would listen to them, old saints of God, tell

them little new wives, you're expecting them.

New wives would say, oh, really, you know something I

don't know.

And come a couple months later, them new wives would

go to them old mothers of Israel, the mothers of

the Church, that had brought forth all them kids that

had learned for the signs, had learned the watch, who

had their eyes open, and that they say, you know what, Mama,

you knew more about that than I did.

Hey, come on, I am expecting.

And there are obvious signs, and we can see that

there are certain people that.

Are doing what if God told you to do. Don't

let anybody distract you.

Don't let anybody get your mind off of what your

heart has been set to do. If you want to

fast two full days, don't let them tell you work

your way into.

It, because God already showed me.

After that sake a complete day with a right heart,

you'll be feeled anyway. It's just when these people get home,

you know, or when they get at the table at Culver's,

and when they get at the booth at Denny's and

they get to just running that mouth. Let me tell you,

I've been in church all my life. Let me tell

you how to receive the Holy goose. Let me tell you,

how are you with me? Whole month one, old Zacharius

is still dumb. Whole month two zach Ryusa is still dumb,

meaning he has no ability to speak. I'm sure he's

wanting to talk. He's probably like Jonathan Edwards. He's probably

want to motor mouth and tell everybody that is what

his wife has had for breakfast, what his wife has

had for lunch, what his wife has had for a dinner,

about what he thinks the baby ways? And God shut

zachariis up? Are y'all? Are y'all listening to pastor howl

right here? Listen, God can stop your babbling and your

barblaing and make you listen. Gabriel walked away from there

when Zacharisi's tongue, I said, Gabriel walked away from there,

when Zacharisi's tongue. And I'll tell you, if you don't

stop asking all them questions, God, we.

Walk away with your tongue.

Gabriel tightest tongue. Gabriel, tightest tongue. Listen to the words

of Gabriel. Then he said, unto them, Huh, you ain't

gonna be speaking, boy until the child is delivered. And

when the child is delivered, his name shall be John,

and you gonna tell how he got the Holy Ghost

in his mother's womb. You're gonna tell how he's gonna

be preaching as the announcer. Behold the lamb of God. Hey,

Jesus said, an evil and adulterous generation seekret after a sign,

but there shall be no other sign given. I don't

need to put a pleae in my yard to figure

out whether or not I'm gonna get the Holy Ghost.

All I have to do is wait, occupy terry, pray, pa,

seek God, and receive you the Holy Ghost. I'm a

feeling good of my spirit, and the Holy Ghost gets

the moving holly glory, Hallelujah. Clap your hand. Do what

spiritual people do. Pray, Praise the Lord, lift off the

horse to go God, Praise the Lord.

Amen. That's what we know to do. He that knows

to do good, and do it to not to him

in a sin.

But we want to ask God questions. Lord, Was that you, Lord?

Was that you that made me feel them chili bumps?

Was that you that reminded me what you said in

your word about putting my two hands together and doing

something cold?

Was that your voice, Lord that told me to obey

us better than sacrifice my God in heaven?

Why are you asking the question and having conversation Mom

and Dad?

When are you gonna realize that's all they're doing, asking

them questions, giving you them puppy dog eyes. They say

they don't want to do work, they don't want to labor,

they don't want to talk, they.

Don't want to fight, they don't want to run. Come

on now, they just don't want to do it. Well,

guess what.

No talking, no Holy ghost, no talking in talks, no

Poe Eather.

Impact. Since last Sunday night, there's been no promise to

any of us.

There's been no promise to any of us that we'll

have another opportunity, to any of us that are doing wrong,

to any of us that are doing as little as

we can to get by. Listen, Would you really make

your family suffer because you've got a bad attitude and

you're upsett and you're embarrassed because you're not making as

much money as somebody else. Would you really make your

family suffer, you dirty dog? Would you really put your

family in jeopardy because you're upset to things didn't go

your way. That's one thing I never done to miss Charity.

Howell hey, I'm gonna be flipping Hamburgers next week. If

I ain't got a job, I'm gonna put some food

on her table. The Bible said, if a man does

not work, he should not eat. You know why you

don't have any faith in your heart. You've already departed

from the faith. You're as bad as an input, the

Bible said, worsening infidel. If you're not providing for your

own you'd say, Jehovah, Jirah is my provider. All you

want to, but you don't have to make thirty five

dollars an hour to put beans and roups in your

baby's ballet. Stop asking questions are why God? Why are

they being blessed? Why are they getting this? Why have

they got the Holy girls? Why they got the promotion?

Just do what God said? Do question that's question, that's questions.

Why the questions? Why the questions? Over Looking the obvious.

Listen to the words of Jesus.

In Luke chapter number twenty four, we find him traveling

with a husband and wife team on the road to Emmaeus.

Years ago.

I prayed that through and felt the Lord showed me

it was a husband and wife. Years later I read

a book written by dial Moody and he said he

felt like he was a husband and wife. The Bible

said that them two followers or disciples of Jesus, were

on the road to a mass and brother Nathaniel. While

they were there, they were talking about Jesus. They were

talking about the miracles that he performed. They were talking

about the wonderful things that he had done. And then

they start spinning their wheels and start slowing down, and

the change their pace and they're no longer making tracks,

and they're no longer making haste. They're disheartened, they're discouraged,

and now they're asking questions they should not be asking.

And now unbelief is coming up.

And now they're saying things like, as God mindful of us,

Lord's God mindful of us? So and so has God

mindful of us? Why are we suffering? Why are we

going through this? And they begin to talk about how

they were disappointed of what happened Jesus, and Jesus is

right there beside them, and the Bible said, as they

walked her, he walks with them. He discusses Bible with them.

He talks about the writings or the prophets with them,

He opens under them their understanding for them what he

preaches to them. And they go on and he makes

home like he's gonna go on beyond them, and they

say come on in.

And in the moment they're breaking bed.

They realize, oh, wait a minute, he was here all along,

he was right here.

I was overlooking the obvious. I was overlooking the ibous.

If we could go back her to you when you

were not filled her last week, he would have got

filled her. If we could go back to when you

weren't filled last week, you would have got filled. You

would have embraced the opportunity by the four locks. Oh

come on, now, stop overlooking the obvious.

That God is here. I said, God, he is here.

Mom and dad.

It's not your poor little baby. It's not your poor

little baby. If I told you what I knew about them,

what God sued me in prayer, you wouldn't die of

a heart attack tonight the office in the house, saith God.

But listen to his words. He didn't beat around the bush.

He snatched them to at titchen.

See.

Old timers would say he jerked a nod at them,

He used some not so polite words, old fools and

slow apart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

Why have you chosen to walk home away from the blessing?

Why have you.

Walked away from the altar and even said you're disheartened?

Why have you walked away from the altar and said

you're discouraged?

Why have you walked away beaten down? Oh?

Come on now, he said, where two horse three are

gathered together in my name?

Where am I in the mister them?

I want you to know if you have faith and

doubt not, and let not unbelief arise in your heart,

you won't be foolish and you won't ask foolish questions.

The truth is they didn't believe the word of the prophet,

no more than Zacharies fully believe the words of gabral

You gotta believe he shall receive. There ain't none of

you ignret There ain't none of you unbelieving to the

manner that you're going to be the fearful and unbelieving

that burns in hell?

Are you?

I remember thirty years ago when we come out of

a nominal church and we walked into the ranks of

the independent holiness people. One great preacher was preaching, and

he told a story. One night of while he was preaching,

he said, this ignorant young woman came and what he

meant was ignorant to the things.

He said, but she was not unbelieving when the Word

of God was preaching. She was not unbelieving when her

eyes were open. She wasn't unbelieving when her heart was

in lightened or illuminated. And he said he had been praying,

and while he's preaching that revival one night during the

altar service, he looked at that young girl and he said, listen,

the Holy Ghost just spoke to me and said, these words,

the next words you you speak will be in a

heavenly language. And he said, a girl that did not

even know has some others in the Bible that there

be a holy ghost, begin to speak in the Holy Ghost.

We have to keep doubts suppressed. We have to keep

unbelief suppressed. When you're hurting because of a fast, who

does it? When you're hungry because of a fast?

Who is that? When you're dizzy because of a fast?

When you're aching because of a fast who is it?

Hey man, just do what God told you to do.

for eight hours on my dollar about how to dig

was about to kneel down to pray before that revival service,

I was saved, sanctified the holy ghost field, he said,

could I ask you a question? He was never wanted

to ask anybody a question, never want to pry into

anybody's business during service like that. Look just like I'm

not I'm not gonna ask you about your private matter.

He looked at me, though, and he said, you're fasting

and seeking God, aren't you?

And I said yes?

And you know what, he said, It is so obvious

to me that you're seeking God. I said, how, I said,

I'm trying not to appear in the men. The faster

it when you get early to church, and I see

it when you pray. I see the passion, I see

the fervor, I see the urgency.

If I can see it, I know God can see it.

I'm telling you God has heard. And that's what he

he's everything. Whenever we know God moves the way he

does for his people. Why are you acting like you're

such a thing, But you know what they said, that

preacher spent about ten minutes or thereabout whatever it was

the time period. I have no idea about ten minutes

or so supposedly ordering and admonishing and comforting the church

and encouraging the church, and basically said He's the same yesterday, today,

and forever, but then commenced us to talk about how

Daddy and Grandpa had something that was greater than what

he himself got. Now, listen, I understand a preacher admitting

that he ain't got what Daddy and Grandpa had. I

understand a preacher try and encourage people that Jesus is

the same yesterday, today and forever, and that we should

expect to have what they had because He's the same.

But my concern is that a preacher would even come

to the place that he would stand in a pool

pit in any kind of meeting period, in any kind

of church period, and say we don't have what they had?

Why not? Why not? Why not?

It's one thing to talk about it, that's another thing

to do something about it, because if we would do

what they did, we would have what they had. Hey,

come on, you can say amen all you want to

to a preacher that's talking about the flames of the

past while wallowing into ashes of Now, I ain't worried.
