Amen. Don't you appreciate your pastor tonight. Amen.

What a rare treasure. I mean, what a rare treasure.

So good to have them home.

Amen. You can feel the difference. Amen, in a wonderful way. Amen.

I'm beyond thrilled that we have been gifted the return

of our pastor and shepherd.

Amen.

We treasure their leadership and spiritual insight Amen, in our lives.

And I would like to say, and all of you

should be able to say this. And as I get

a little further into this, Amen, you'll understand he mean

why I'm doing.

Amen, I'm gonna practice what I preach.

But I told Pastor a while back, and I feel

it with all of my heart. When he gets to Heaven,

there'll be a jewel in his crown, and it'll be

it'll be the soul winner's jewel for my soul. I mean,

I would not be up here before you tonight if

it was not for this man of God and man

that I am blessed to call pastor, blessed to call Pastor.

Amen.

First Samuel, chapter number eight Amen, Praise God, First Samuel,

chapter number eighteen. And we're gonna begin reading around verse

number six I believe, I said eight, but it's eighteen.

I mean First Samuel, chapter number eighteen. I mean, I

love my pastor. I thank you all for amen, everything

that y'all have done, all the prayers that you have prayed.

Now you help me, amen, as I try to deliver

this the way the Lord would have me. And in

verse number six, the Bible said, and it came to

pass as they came when David was returned from the

slaughter of the Philistines, that the woman came out of

that the women came out of all of the cities

of Israel, singing and dancing to meet King Saul with tabrits,

with joy, and with instruments of music. And the woman answered,

and the women answered one another as they played, and said,

saw it slain his thousands and David his ten thousands.

And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him.

And he said, they have ascribed under David ten thousands,

and to me they have abscribed but thousands. And what

can he have more but the kingdom verse number nine,

And saw I David from that day and forward, Amen,

if you would ask the Lord to help us tonight. Lord,

thank you for your.

Mercy your grace. Lord God, we thank you for your

many blessings.

Lord, Thank God, we asked you please help us tonight. Lord.

Let me say nothing more, nothing less than what you

would have me say. God, speak to us, open your

word to us. God, help me God to deliver this

the way you would have me. I desperately need your

anointing and I need your guidance. I need your will

to prosper.

God.

Lord, let your we'll prosper here to not bind every

hindrance and distraction. Help us in this place in Jesus name,

we ask him. Pray and thank you for it. Praise

God in the church said, Amen, Praise God. Here we

find here in this chapter we find a very very

familiar figure.

In the Bible. Amen.

This may be a little slow getting started, a man,

I don't know how the Lord will will will really

direct me through this. But we're all we're all pretty

familiar with King Saul and and a lot of the

things that happened to him and some of his his

his trips up and the process that let him here

to amen to to where we are now.

Amen, Saul.

Saul would have been Amen, in my opinion, at the

pinnacle of his reign. Here, Amen, David would have helped

him to become the most powerful Saul was as a king.

You can't convince it's me Saul was any ever, ever,

any more powerful than when he had a loyal servant

like David standing by his side and fighting for him.

Amen.

Now, if you look at what all had, what all

had happened here, he is he is a king that

the people will follow.

Amen. He is.

He is a leader that they seem to look up

to and respect. He has David as a personal bodyguard

in general. And uh, and they begin winning wars. Amen,

they begin defeating their enemies, and they are driving back

their adversaries. Is that not everything you would want, Amen,

to be driving back those that have been bothering you

and persecuting you.

And this seems to be amen the case here.

But but it seems to take a cynical turn here

and Saul begins to be bewitched. And it almost seems

like it happens in a moment. It almost seems like

here in one verse, Amen, one should situation and one

thing that happens, and men changes Saul's perspective of David

and the things that are going on and too often

we see the cynical transition where people begin to quit

giving the benefit of the doubt and and quit thinking

that someone's out for their best interest and someone's looking

out for them. And Saul, Amen, it was like Aman,

no doubt. There was a little bit of build up.

But verse nine, according to verse nine, there was a

there was a very distinct switch here, Amen, when the

women come out and begin to rejoice, and and the

Bible said they came out with joy. They came out

with their taverns and with their instruments of music, and

they're trying to sing the songs of victory, and they're

rejoicing alongside of Saul and David.

But but this this moment, Amen, would go down and

in the history of the nation of Israel. Amen, to

the point that we still read a man about it.

What once were comrades are now on their road to enemies. Amen,

what once was Amen, Praise God, a unified mindset and

two individuals working together.

Amen. In a moment, and in seemingly in one.

Verse, Saul gets displeased, and Saul gets a rata and

he thinks, oh, Noah, you know he's after me, And

and the sad thing about it was it was it

was something he battled in his mind.

Is seemingly Saul's mindset begin to shift, and verse Non

from that day and forward, and then we find him

Amen. How often do we find? Amen? Do some find themselves?

We I'm gonna say some, how often do some find

We see the Lord work in their situations, and it

seems like God is trying to help them, Amen, and

worked for them, Amen, those things that they have struggled

with for years. And then they begin to get the

victory over them. Amen, as they fight alongside of somebody

that has a burden and a vision for them to

help them.

We see them begin to defeat their enemies and drive

back their adversaries. And then seemingly they begin to become bewitched.

Even they begin to have their minds set altered. After

that they experienced victory, and after that God had worked

for them, they men after the God had poured out

his blessings on them, and they had experienced Amen, the

sweet release Amen of the enemy's hand on their lives.

Even they begin to have an altered mind, said of

the man of God.

David here would represent the man of God.

And the issue is a lot of us see ourselves,

and a lot of those that find themselves in trouble

see themselves as King Saul. They see themselves as the

lord and king of their destiny. They see themselves as

the lord and King of their purpose and their goals

in life.

Theymen. So when they find themselves an acquaintance with a

man of God such as David was, it is very

easy for the ell amen to realize sooner later my ambition,

my desires, and my prayers are not going to lie

with Amen David's prayers. Oh God, how many people have

experienced the blessings of God and experienced the glory of God.

I'm a man of God that helped them get victory, aymen.

But they amen through it all.

To the wind because of what they were after, and

because of their kingdom and their possessions and their power

and their control and their desire theymen to continue doing

it their way, Amen, and they become bewitched. You tell me,

was David in the wrong here? Did David cross any lines?

Rather, what I see here is jealousy begins to seep

into the mind and the heart of King Saul. Amen,

let me ask you something here. Let me ask you

something here. There's people that come to the House of

God and they say, amen, I can't give em in

my respect and my trust. They've got a very cynical

outlook on leadership. But often they make David pay pennance

for leadership from Saul. You see they act like, well,

this preacher hurting me, and hey, listen to me, friend,

I don't care who did what and win. If you

have a man of God now in your life, you

are too respect and revere him. And he is to

never pay penance for the part leadership of the past.

I said, he is to never pay penance for your

party leadership in the past. If he is a man

of God, he is simply that, and you should never

a mad a tribute your trust is Jesus from yesterday's best.

The leadership a matter to the man of God that

is now in your life.

This man has never done anything to break Methild's trust.

He is never winn one time out on the limb

in tenally to hurt someone spiritually that I have ever observed.

We are obligated dues. We are to pay those dues.

My God, I signa your respector regard. What I seek

in every one of your lives is a reference for

the man of God, and a need.

To pay that that you owe.

And then there's something.

no hero. There's some unsung heroes. They never got to

There are many that are despisers of those that are good,

perilous times shall come, for men shall be lovers of

their own selves, lovers of their own selves. Hey, come,

just boasters, proud blasphemer's, just so obedient to parents. And

here we go, unthankful, unholy and then without natural affections,

truth breakers, false accusers, and continent fierce. Amen, they're fierce,

and they're despises of those that are good. Where the

road gap, they're traders, Amen. Friend, they're also heady the men.

They're also very prideful, and they're very high minded. Amen.

They are often the lovers of pleasures. And yes, if

you love the world, the love of the father's not

in you. So if you love pleasures just a little bit,

you love them more than God. Haymen, But let me

talk to you. We find among those indspicable things in

the Holy wit those that despise those that are endeavoring

to do good. Show me where David had caught out

a lie. Show me where he across the line. Show

me where he had messed up. Show Me where he

had wronged Suah. Show me where he had wronged the kingdom.

Show Me where he had usurped authority. Show me where

he wasn't a lawyer serving they.

Been offering his services to help and benefit the kingdom.

Show me where you're man of God, Amen has old

endeavoring they mean to benefit the Kingdom of God. Remember,

then you find those they men that nevertheless they just despised,

They just hate. They just look for an opportunity to

sling mud and hate and all how unthankful they always, always.

Always are.

Saul became a despiser of those that appreciated those that

do good. It wasn't enough that he hated David. He

started hated day hating those that loved David. Oh, is

there somebody in the beth the hole in his church

settle pay their dues? Well, let's despise that one shoe

and breastplates and shin guards. All they did was gives

me some little bit of holy bread.

Amen, in a sord, my God. And you're gonna.

Murder the whole bunch because they paid their dues, and

they wasn't sory to the life at that very moment.

And all they did what's given what he had armed

at the Valley of Elah. Let they tell you where

you pay your dues, You just give my na what's

He's not the enemy of your good works, But you

tell you where you're in error, so you make heaven

your home. His purpose there is to be the enemy

of the evil. Wilt thou dint not be afraid of

the power, do that which is good? And now shalt

have praises of the same. They want the accolades, but

they never do the good. But if you just do

the good, Brother Caleb, have you ever seen a man

of God? These shalt accolades the way our pastor does?

I have never. Why ain't he praising me? Well? What

good have you done for the kingdom or the church?

Because you know good and well, I've never ran across

the minister that offers accolades the way the man of

God and the beth of Holiness Church does. Let me

speak frankly, just for a minute. I said, I don't

want your reverence. I don't want your honor, and I'm

not blowing smoke. I am simply under that man. God

put him there, and he put me here. You know

who I answer to for my soul. God, You know

who I.

Answer to for ministry.

At the Bethelhole in his church, my pastor, Apostle Paul,

had the right to tell Timothy, you go down there

and you jump on the boat with your nephew, little self,

your young little self, and you meet me at such

and such town, and you better be there when I

get there. He didn't buy his ticket, He didn't tell

him this is the trip advisor, Amen, rep you need

to talk to. He said, you get yourself on the

boat and you meet me down there.

Timothy, answer to that man of God.

And if you got a problem paying your dues and

your respect, Amen, you own no position here.

You will own no place here, and you will own

no praise here. I am owe nothing.

pastor puts you there, and God put him there, and

he is the head of this church, and he is.

you loan is the praise of the people.

And that's the spirit of us all. That's the run

that would hide in the fox hole and then steal

the credit, that would run that would cost me on

to be unsung. He rose, That should never be unsung.

He rose. But whose fault is it?

It's not the man that God his brain's blown out

for this blessed nation that he's an unsung hero.

It's the simpletons in the streets of America.

Whose fault is it that there are prophets still in

the land and they have no honor? It is no

bride on them. It is a bride on the holiness movement.

When a man of God that can pray someone back

from the dead, Amen, is even questioned Amen by your

little feeble chynight mind, because all you role is the accolades.

What the people? It is on the parish that the

prophet has no honor?

Oh noa, I'm.

Telling you the gospel, an adult rated and underfouled deny.

It is on you that the prophet is without honor

in your life, and in the life of the pair,

and in the life of for admirers, and in the

five and verse number seventeen. Let the elders that rule

well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who

labor in the word and doctrine. How many preachers do

we know by the Philip that have a name. They've

wrecked their church, they've wrecked their youth group, but they

still preach our camp meetings. They still travel around and

preach our youth camps, and they get honored. Let them

that rule well, they lost the generation of yesteryear.

But they're the ones we.

Look to and say. You should have heard them preach.

My God, I should have saw. What I should have

done is I should have saw a holiness, huge group

go up from the choir and seek for the other.

May not some proisy from the red like district, look

Up the road? My God? What I should have thought?

make of the accolades, friend, No, they are these robbers

of those that are good.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of

double honor. So we owe honor, brother Christian, Now, friend,

you owe double honor. He is not only ruled, he

is ruled well, wondrously wrote wonderfully, under the power of God,

to the saving of our households. Shoot, don't give honor

to those who haven't ruled well, and withhold from those

that have. Pastor is a pastor who gives recognition and

active of an accommodation like no other I have ever seen.

But I want to ask you a question based from

verse number eighteen for the scriptures, saith, thou shalt not

muscle the ox that treadeth up the corn, and the

laborer is worthy of its higher Why are those words

in red?

Those are Jesus talking? Now?

So it's gotten serious. But let me ask you. Are

you a mussler?

Are you who out there tonight it's a mussler? Are you.

When he pushes the church and gets behind us and

broads us? Are you a mussler? Do you muscle with

your actions? Do you muscle with your support? Do you

muscle with your mouth?

Shore? I feel God again up in here? Had I

heard that?

Do you muzzle your neighbor, your spouse, your kids? Are

you a muscler?

You know who?

They like the muzzle a dog that can bite. Let

me tell you why you'd want to muzzle the man

of God. Because you've been around some men of God, supposedly,

and they had no bite, and they had no bark.

And now you're around a man of God, lay hands

on no man. Suddenly you come up amongst his flock

and you started grabbing that that was his. Let me

tell you what them? Them them sheep dogs that do son,

they get to nipping.

You.

Let a wolf come up amongst them, they'll do a

little more of a nip. They start getting them in

the juggler.

on that move, that word from heaven and that simple
