-
I want to begin today a series that I'm calling Healing Assured.
-
Some number of years ago, uh the over 20 years ago now, uh, we begin to be aware of the healing anointing on this ministry.
-
And uh the Lord began to uh direct us to do different things in that line.
-
And so one of the things that we do every Tuesday at 1030 uh a.m.
-
right here at Faith Builders is we have our healing school.
-
And we have had wonderful testimonies of people being healed and set free by the power of God.
-
And it's just an hour where we just minister the Word of God and teach on the principles of healing, how to get healed, how to stay healed, and what the Word of God has to say.
-
And so we're gonna take the next few broadcasts and deal with this subject of healing assured.
-
Years ago, I read a book by a man named F.F.
-
Bosworth, and it was entitled Christ the Healer.
-
And it's one of the, in my mind, one of the greatest volumes on healing that's ever been written.
-
And Bosworth made a statement in that book.
-
He said, We have proved thousands of times and are continuing to prove that by the simple presentation of enough of the written word of God to the minds and hearts of the incurably afflicted, they can be brought to the same state of certainty and assurance concerning the healing of their body as to the healing of their soul.
-
Now notice what he's saying is this is with enough of the word of God, you can come to the same place of certainty that it's absolutely God's will to heal you, just the way you were certain that it was absolutely God's will to save you.
-
All right?
-
God's desire is that you be well, spirit, soul, and body.
-
He did not leave the body out of the redemptive package.
-
God's will for healing is the same today as it was when Jesus was ministering in his earthly ministry.
-
In 1 Peter chapter 1 and verse 23, the apostle Peter made this statement by the Holy Spirit: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible.
1 Peter 1 chapter mention
-
By the word of God which liveth and abideth forever.
-
So we see here that the word of God is incorruptible seed.
-
All of God's works, all of his wonderful works, are potentially in the seed.
-
The seed of the word of God.
-
You will, I found that very often you get better results when you pray for people who have heard the word consistently than you do praying for people that just come to have hands laid on them.
-
Because you don't know what level their faith is at.
-
When you have heard the word consistently, then the seed of healing has been planted in your spirit.
-
And if there's one thing we know, even from the natural uh way of things, is if you plant a corn seed, you're going to reap corn.
-
You're not going to reap tomatoes or wheat, you're going to reap corn.
-
And when you take the word of God, which the word of God itself says is incorruptible seed, and you plant that seed of the word, be it for healing or any other thing, the harvest that you will receive is the harvest of health and the harvest of healing.
-
I have to hear enough of the word of God to produce faith.
-
When you hear the word of God on the subject, for instance, if you're sick in your body and you hear the word of God on the subject of healing, that brings a hope and that brings a picture that there's something that can possibly be done about the illness that I'm dealing with.
-
As you hear the word of God, according to Romans chapter 10 and verse 17, faith comes.
Romans 10 chapter mention
-
And faith, by definition, is the conviction that something is true.
-
So I can look in the Word of God one time and see that with his stripes I was healed and think that would be wonderful.
-
That would be tremendous if I would be healed and I could be set free from this affliction.
-
But as I abide in the Word of God and I continue to ingest the Word of God and I continue to put the Word of God in my heart through the reading and the hearing of God's word, what happens is then faith shows up, and faith is the conviction that something is true.
-
Not just that it would be nice, not just that it would be wonderful.
-
It is absolute truth that by the stripes of Jesus I have been healed.
-
And if Jesus took stripes on his back for my healing, then I'm healed by the power of God.
-
My brother, sister, the next step is just receiving what faith has already brought to you as real fact.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And that's the importance of hearing the word of God.
-
So then Romans 10, 17 says, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
-
Before I can have faith for healing, I have to be absolutely certain about God's will concerning healing.
-
I have to be absolutely certain because the promises in the Word are a revelation of what God wants to do for us.
-
When you find a promise in the Word of God, that is what we call the revealed will of God.
-
That reveals God's will for my life.
-
So when I read in the scripture in Psalm 107, he sent his word and healed them, then that becomes the revealed will of God for my life.
-
It is God's will that I be healed.
-
When I read in Exodus 15, where he said, I'm the God that heals you.
-
And then I read in Malachi chapter 3, where he said, I cannot change.
Malachi 3 chapter mention
-
And I read in Hebrews 13, 8 that says, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
-
When I read in Titus 1, 2 that says God cannot lie, if he was the healer in Exodus 15, 26, he's the healer in the year that we live in.
-
Because he cannot change.
-
He's always the same and he cannot lie.
-
So when I see it in the Word of God, that becomes God's eternal will for my life.
-
Because God is eternally faithful to his word.
-
He is eternally committed to his word.
-
And so as I re- as I ingest the word and I'm aware this is God's will for my life, then what begins to happen is faith comes.
-
Faith for the promises of God comes from knowing and acting on the word.
-
Faith for the promises of God comes from knowing and acting on God's word.
-
And very often the first action is you begin to say it.
-
I declare by faith in the word I'm healed.
-
See, it's not faith in something you can't see.
-
I understand that very often faith is described in those terms.
-
You know, that you have faith even though you can't see it, and you have faith even though you can't feel it.
-
Well, I might not be able to see the effect immediately in my body or feel the effect immediately in my body, but I can see it in the word of God.
-
Once you see it in the word of God, you see it.
-
Once you see it, you see it.
-
And then what you see will begin to take manifestation in your life.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Romans chapter 12 and uh verse 2, which is a familiar scripture, it says, uh, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12 chapter mention
-
The renewed mind makes it possible for every person to have steadfast faith.
-
Because I'm renewing my mind to what the word of God says.
-
The word of God says I'm the healed of the Lord.
-
Now, when I begin to ingest that, steadfast faith begins to arise, and at the same time, I'm renewing my mind to the fact that healing is God's will for me.
-
That being strong, that being well, that being whole is God's will for me.
-
That's why, that's why churches have to teach and preach this.
-
Every Sunday morning, every Wednesday evening, every time there's a gathering, there the sanctuary is full of people that have needs and people that have uh uh needs in their body, needs in their family.
-
And we have the answer as the church of the living God.
-
This is not something that a select few, a select group of evangelists or traveling ministers are to teach, where we've got to go to a traveling minister's healing meeting in order to have hands laid on us.
-
We come to the local church and we hear the word of God on healing and we hear the word of God on wholeness.
-
Hands are laid on us and we receive our health and receive our healing.
-
Because according to the word of God, it's possible for all.
-
Steadfast faith is possible for all.
-
And the more you renew your mind to what the word of God says, the easier you see that that is.
-
In Luke chapter 8 and verse 11, Jesus said that the seed was the word of God.
Luke 8 chapter mention
-
It's what we refer to as uh the parable of the sower.
-
And Jesus said the seed was the word of God.
-
F.
-
F.
-
Bosworth made the statement, he said, until the person seeking healing is sure from God's word that it is God's will to heal him, he's trying to reap a harvest where no seed has been planted.
-
Until the person seeking healing is sure from God's word that it is God's will to heal him, he's trying to reap a harvest where no seed has been planted.
-
So what we gather is it's impossible to believe for a harvest before we're sure the seed has been planted.
-
Amen.
-
I remember Reverend Kenneth Hagin made a statement, and uh Brother Hagin is one of our fathers in the faith, and he made this statement about the early days of his ministry.
-
He said, I would not take a meeting that was less than three length, three years, three weeks in length.
-
And then he explained why.
-
He said, because I would be teaching on faith and healing in the afternoon services, and then they would be praying for people in the evening services.
-
And he said, it took a period of time for people to get the word of God in their heart to the point that they could believe God for their healing.
-
And so what he was saying is it takes time to get the seed planted in their heart so that they can reap a harvest of healing.
-
And what we have to be careful of is that uh we don't want to try to short circuit the process.
-
Once you have faith for healing in your body, in your spirit, it's not just having hands laid on you and you being relieved of the immediate need in your body.
-
It is for the long-term health of your body.
-
Now you have the faith to believe that God will not only heal you, but he will keep you well.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
Isn't the Lord good?
-
Glory to God.
-
Excuse me.
-
So, in John 8 and 32, Jesus made the statement, he said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
-
You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
-
Now notice, you'll hear many people say, Well, you know, it's the truth that makes you free.
-
In reality, Jesus said it was knowing the truth would make you free.
-
So the truth will make you free, but it's the truth that you know.
-
So freedom from sickness comes from knowing the truth.
-
I'm not gonna spend a lot of time on wrong teaching and wrong doctrine because that's not our focus.
-
But I do want to say this concerning that.
-
You know, it's been taught over the years and the centuries that God has something to do with sickness, that he might uh allow sickness to teach a lesson, or he might allow sickness uh, you know, because of a person did this or a person did that.
-
Well, here's the issue: if that's your version of the truth, you will never stand against sickness and disease because you're never sure why it's there.
-
Dr.
-
Lillian B.
-
Yeomans, who was mightily used of God in the early days of the 20th century, made this statement in the area of healing.
-
She made this statement.
-
Sickness is the foul offspring of its father Satan and its mother sin.
-
That's how you have to view sickness.
-
God has nothing to do with it.
-
If God had something to do with sickness, it was barbaric and masochistic of him to allow Jesus to suffer the punishment that he suffered to produce healing if God ever has anything to do with sickness.
-
There are things where your healing is concerned that you must settle.
-
Sickness is not from God, it's not of God, God does not use sickness, he gets no pleasure out of sickness, and he has no part in sickness.
-
You have to settle those issues.
-
Hallelujah.
-
That's the truth.
-
It's the word that's planted and watered and trusted in that produces healing.
-
It's the word planted and watered and trusted in that produces healing.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
We just recently got a wonderful testimony from a dear woman in our congregation that had been diagnosed with a certain disease, uh, a uh uh, in many cases, a fatal disease.
-
And we were believing God with her, and we stood for a period of time, and and there there was a time that I laid hands on her and agreed with her and believed with her.
-
But other than that, she just came to healing school.
-
She stayed under the word, she kept the word going into her, and one day in the service, the Lord said to her, He said, When you go back to the doctor, the blood test is going to come back normal.
-
I've got the testimony on my desk where she went to the doctor, and the doctor took the blood, and they looked at it, and they the report came back.
-
It's normal.
-
All evidence of the disease is gone.
-
Well, yes, hands were laid on her, but the thing that I want you to see is what produced the work was the ingestion of the word of God.
-
The seed of the word of God being planted where healing was concerned.
-
And it produced healing.
-
The seed has to remain planted and kept watered before it can produce a harvest.
-
You have to hear the word and hear the word and hear the word.
-
Water the word with praise and worship.
-
Water the word with thanksgiving.
-
Water the word with graciousness to God.
-
Father, I thank you that I'm healed.
-
I thank you that I'm set free by the power of God.
-
I rejoice, Lord, that my body is well and whole in the name of Jesus.
-
I am a sickness-free zone.
-
Thank you that Jesus took stripes on his back, and because of that I am healed.
-
Hallelujah.
-
That's you giving voice to what you believe.
-
That's you giving voice to what you believe God has done for you.
-
Amen.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Bosworth made another statement.
-
He said, For one to say, I believe the Lord is able to heal me, before he knows from God's word that he's willing to heal him, is like a farmer saying, I believe God is able to give me a harvest without any seed being planted and watered.
-
Hallelujah.
-
For one to say, I believe the Lord is able to heal me, before he knows from God's word that he's willing to heal him, is like a farmer saying, I believe God is able to give me a harvest without any seed being planted and watered.
-
The prayer of faith that heals the sick should follow, not precede the planting of the word.
-
It should follow it, not precede it.
-
If you when you look back, and I've studied this extensively because it lines up with the word of God, when you look back over the days, what we call the healing revival, the days of the voice of healing revival, the late 40s, all the way through the the 50s, up to around 1958 or so.
-
Great men of God, used by God, Oral Roberts, T.L.
-
Osborne, uh A.A.
-
Allen, all of these men, what they did first was preach the word of God.
-
It was the word of God preached.
-
You know, many would not have known this because, especially many today were not in the meetings, and I know from historical fact and studying it, but you know, it was common for Orl Roberts to preach two to two and a half hours in his tent meetings and teach for over two hours on Jesus' healing and getting the word in people, putting the word in people for two to two and a half hours, encouraging them to come to the afternoon meetings and hear the word for another hour to an hour and a half.
-
They had to, they had a place on the card in all of Brother Bosworth's meetings where they had to show that they had attended three services and sat under the word of God.
-
Why?
-
They understood the importance of getting the word of God into the people.
-
In the book of Luke, it says that a multitude gathered to Jesus to hear.
-
And to be healed by him of their diseases.
-
But notice what came first: to hear.
-
The Bible says that Jesus went about all the regions of Galilee, preaching, teaching, and then healing.
-
Preaching, teaching, and healing.
-
Why?
-
Because Jesus could not act in a manner that's inconsistent with the word of God.
-
And the word says, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
-
People had to hear the word.
-
The word of God had to be ministered.
-
Or they had to hear another way.
-
We have no record that the woman with the issue of blood in Mark chapter 5 ever heard Jesus preach.
Mark 5 chapter mention
-
But she heard from somewhere, from someone, that Jesus was Messiah, that Jesus could heal, that Jesus was healing.
-
And it says, when she heard of Jesus, notice what came first.
-
She heard.
-
Then she acted, then she received.
-
She heard, she acted, and she received.
-
When you hear the word of God and then you act on it, you will receive what the word of God says belongs to you.
-
Glory to God.
-
The prayer of faith that heals the sick should not precede the planting of the word.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And let me say this: a statement like, if it be your will, that's not planting the seed.
-
That's destroying the seed.
-
Well, Lord, if it be your will, heal this person.
-
That's destroying the seed.
-
It's simply, Lord, heal this person.
-
End of discussion.
-
Planting the seed.
-
The word does not leave a person in uncertainty.
-
There's no uncertainty in the word.
-
You will never come away from the word uncertain if it's God's will to heal you.
-
You will only and always come away from the word with a certainty that it is God's will to heal me and God will heal me.
-
I've just got to bring my situation and bring it right up against the Word of God and then believe the Word of God regardless of the symptoms, regardless of the situation.
-
Don't deny what you're going through.
-
You're dealing with it.
-
You're dealing with what you're dealing with, but the word of God is able to heal you and set you free regardless of what you're dealing with.
-
That is such good news.
-
Amen.
-
Because I'm not denying that it's there.
-
Yes, it's there.
-
The doctor said it was there.
-
But I take what the doctor said was there, I take what I can feel in my body, and I bring it up against the word of God, and I simply, in simple faith, believe the word over the circumstance.
-
That is planting the seed of healing in your body.
-
Glory be to God.
-
Glory be to God.
-
In Matthew chapter 8, verse 16, it says, When evening was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils.
-
He cast out the Spirit with his word and healed all that were sick, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Let me finish here.
-
The words bear our sicknesses are just as much a part of the gospel as he who his own self bear our sins in his body to the tree.
-
It's just as much a part of the gospel as salvation from sin.
-
Father, I just pray right now in the name of Jesus for every person watching.
-
Father, if they're sick in their body, if there's disease, pain, just reach out and touch the television or the device that you're watching on.
-
Father, I call them healed, I call them well, and I call them whole in the name of Jesus.
-
Be sure and join us next time, right here on the Faith Builders Broadcast, as we continue to look at this vital subject of healing assured, because God wants you healed and well and whole, set free from pain and misery by the power of Jesus' name.

It belongs to you.
