Let's uh go over to Mark chapter five.

And uh we'll look at some good things today.

We are continuing on this uh that we've been looking at the basics of healing.

The basics of healing.

And so far in this series, uh, we've looked at, number one, God is completely faithful to his word.

And then secondly, healing is now, and thirdly, I know uh Pastor Perry ministered last Tuesday, but my last time here, was anything that Christ shed his blood to redeem us from is always God's will.

And so then today we'll deal with this subject of healing and feelings.

Healing and feeling.

Hallelujah.

I remember uh when it comes to this the issue of faith, uh I remember years ago, decades ago, uh getting a hold of some things by Charles Caps, specifically uh his series, Faith, Law of the New Covenant.

And recently on his podcast, I say re- not real recently, but recent, uh, he ministered on that again.

And man, it it just impacted me the same way that it did then.

But the the point is, uh in in that series, he would make this statement over and over again.

He would say, Now I'm gonna say this so many ways that you're gonna get it.

And then he'd say the same thing a different way.

And then he would say, Now I'm gonna say this so many ways you're gonna get it.

And then he would say the same thing a different way.

And he was the first person that I ever had come in contact with that took faith and applied it in such a way that it could change things.

It changed circumstances.

Because up till then I'd heard people preach on faith, and faith was just a waiting game.

Well, you just gotta have faith.

What they meant was you gotta wait.

And maybe God will do it.

Maybe you'll pressure him into making this happen.

He was the first person I'd ever heard teach that you can take your faith and alter the circumstance that that you're in.

All right, and faith, the way he taught on faith, faith was not, faith was not something that overlooked problems or acted like they didn't exist or denied it.

It was you take your faith and you change what you're dealing with.

All right, and and this is so important where this uh topic today, healing and feelings, are concerned, because obviously feelings are never the evidence that I'm not healed.

All right, I can have feelings that is not the evidence that I'm not healed, but they're also not the evidence that I look for to prove I am healed.

I don't look to feel better to prove I'm healed.

All right, and without having the time in one session to teach on it, I just say this that in many circles, spirit-filled circles, this is elementary when we say the word is the evidence.

Right?

The word is the evidence that I look for to prove that I'm healed, not my feelings.

But then, right on the other hand, I do not look at the evidence of the word and deny what I'm feeling.

Because faith is not denial.

All right, I have the evidence, I have the report that I believe here.

All right.

Not believing a report doesn't mean I deny that report.

Hallelujah.

Denying feelings will not produce healing.

All right, denying reports will not produce healing.

And here's what I mean by that.

Uh uh I've I've talked to people before, and it was evident that they were not feeling well.

I said, how you doing?

How you feeling it today?

Oh, I feel great.

It was evident they didn't feel great.

But to them, denying their feeling was faith.

You see?

Well, I don't want to make a bad confession.

Well, it's not a bad confession, but you can make a confession that has no faith in it, and then it's empty words.

Amen.

And and even worse, it can be an untruth.

Well, you look, you you look like you're tired.

Are you tired today?

Oh, I'm not tired, just wore out.

I'm not tired.

Well, now they're just lying.

Right?

What is the proper way to respond to something like that?

Brother, you look tired.

You look wore out.

Well, you know what I am?

I'm I'm tired, but the Lord gives power to the faint.

Right?

I'm not not denying what's going on.

The Lord gives power to the faint.

Amen.

So denying reports won't produce healing.

Now I'm not staying here, but we we need to look at this.

You know, a doctor's not trying to speak something on you.

When they give you a report about something they believe they have found, they're not trying to speak something on you.

They're not trying to give you heart trouble or give you whatever.

That's just what they found.

Right?

It's up to you.

Whose report will you believe?

Right?

Now notice he didn't say that report was invalid.

He said, Are you gonna believe it?

So if the doctor says, this is the situation, this is what we found in your body, well, I don't have to take ownership of that, but I can't deny the report.

Hallelujah.

You know, if you're sitting here in a yellow polka dot shirt with a pink hat and purple shoes on, and and you can't deny that.

It's what it is.

I can't deny what they may have found, but here's the difference.

What report will I believe?

Because if I believe that in this sense, if I take ownership of it, if I receive it, if I just start making preparations along those lines, all right, now I've believed that report.

I've taken it to heart.

See, the issue is believing.

What do you believe?

And where healing is concerned, this is so important because in many cases it's life or death.

And so I can't have this mindset of I'm gonna deny that.

I don't have that.

I don't have that.

That's where it stops for many people.

That is their confession.

I don't have that.

There's no faith in that.

There's no faith in that.

Because there's no scripture that says I don't have that.

There's scripture that says I call things that be not as though they were.

So if the doctor says to a person, you have cancer, all right, we've found cancer in whatever part of your body, it does no good to say I don't have that.

Because it's a physical reality that I do.

What do I have to do?

What's not there?

If cancer's there, what's not there?

Healing.

So what do I have to do?

I have to call the thing that is not as though it was.

I have to call healing.

Oh, hallelujah.

So denying feelings can get you into trouble because that mindset will produce mental assent.

That mindset will produce mental assent.

Middle assent is simply agreeing that something's true without committing to it.

Somebody that's in middle assent will commit to the fact that the word is true, or assent to the fact that the word is true.

They'll agree, but they won't commit to it.

All right?

So when someone gets a bad report and they say, Well, I don't have that, well, they're mentally assenting to the fact that the word's true.

They shouldn't have that, but there's no commitment to it.

Amen.

I see where there's no commitment to the word when there's fear present.

Any sickness, any sickness, especially people that have been taught about the word and the power of the word, it's like they are afraid.

They're afraid if they say, This is what I'm dealing with.

And what I've seen after all these years of teaching, preaching on healing, seeing multitudes of people healed, watch people raised off their deathbed, watch people that they said had died, raised back to life.

Not something I heard somebody else say or I watched somebody else do, something that I was present when it happened.

I laid hands on the man and he came back to life.

All right?

So this is not hearsay.

I'm saying after all of these years, I've watched people settle into that comfort place of denial and it cost them.

It cost them.

Because denial is not faith.

Denial stops faith.

Hallelujah.

Now, I've heard that repeatedly.

Well, I don't have that, or I refuse that report.

Listen, those those those statements are good to the untrained ear.

They sound good to the untrained ear.

But to the ear of faith, they sound like mental assent.

To the ear of faith, they sound like mental ascent.

Hallelujah.

So standing for healing will involve standing against feelings, but it doesn't involve the denial of feelings.

Now we'll start here in Mark chapter 5.

Mark 5 · chapter mention

In the ministry of Jesus.

This is uh after J.

Iris had come to ask Jesus to come to his home.

And it says Jesus went with him, and much people followed him and thronged him, and a certain woman that had an issue of blood, 12 years, and had suffered many things, and many physicians spent all that she had and was not better, but rather grew worse.

So obviously, from the text, she was getting no better.

She was getting worse.

So that means the symptoms were worse.

If the symptoms were worse, the feelings were worse.

All right, so she was feeling more and more sick, more and more ill, more and more unwell.

Hallelujah.

Verse 27 says, when she had heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind and touched his garment.

Now, very often the focus is on the woman touching Jesus' clothes and her being healed.

And that's true.

That's what happened.

All right, she touched his clothes and she was healed.

But verse 28 tells us something very important.

It tells us why she touched his clothes.

Verse 28 starts off with the word for, which is a conjunction.

It's adding, it's bringing verse 27 and verse 28 together.

For she said.

Alright, for she said.

So this all started with her saying.

This is what she said.

We'll read it in a moment.

The Amplified Bible says she kept saying.

Now it tells us what she said.

So, in effect, it tells us what she didn't say.

She said, if I can touch his clothes, I'll be made whole.

So what she did not say was, I'm not sick.

I'm not getting worse.

I don't have any pain.

Why?

All of those statements would have been false.

The Bible tells us by her own testimony that she was not getting any better, she was getting worse.

Amen.

See, faith is never intimidated by your circumstance.

Faith is not intimidated by a doctor's report.

Faith is not intimidated, you don't have to hide anything from faith.

Because faith is the victory.

That's why it's important that you're in faith about your healing and important that you're in faith concerning what you're believing.

Because faith is the victory.

What she said was if I can touch his clothes, I'll be made whole.

If I can touch his clothes, I'll be made whole.

So the whole time she was pressing through the crowd, she's not feeling healed.

Yet she's not letting her feelings stop her.

Hallelujah.

She's not denying it, but she's not letting it stop her.

Feelings do not dictate what I believe.

They're a part of the process.

I may get up in the morning and not feel well in a certain area of my body.

That doesn't stop what I believe.

So, in other words, I don't stop and camp on my feelings.

I don't allow my feelings to make the decisions for me.

I remember reading Dodi Osteen's book, Healed of Cancer, and how she said, you know, when she when she and she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of the liver and uh the pancreas and just, I mean, the doctors sent her home to die.

That's that was the reality of it.

And she said, you know, even though her and her husband had taken, uh come into agreement, you know, for her healing, she said, now watch, she said, I just the only thing I wanted to do was stay in bed.

I didn't want to get up, I didn't want to do anything.

Now I'm not giving you a formula, I'm telling you how feelings work.

Telling you how feelings work.

All right?

She could not deny the feelings.

In her book, she said, I felt tired.

I felt like I had no energy.

I felt pain.

I felt like I was going to die.

But then she made this statement.

But I realized that if I'm healed, I've got to stand against those feelings.

So I've got to get up.

Right?

I've got to get up.

I've got to do something.

She wasn't denying the feelings.

She said the whole time she was doing what she was doing, cleaning the toilet, doing what she was doing.

She said, I felt horrible.

I felt, I felt like a person with cancer.

But she didn't stop and camp on her feelings.

She allowed faith to overcome her feelings.

And when she said I would get in the car and drive across town to pray for people that were sick because I'm sowing the seed of healing into other people's lives.

Right?

And she said there would be times I'd be so tired.

I thought I'm going to have to call my husband to come and get me.

I can't drive home.

But she said I would make the decision to rest for a little bit and then get in the car and drive back home.

That's not a formula.

But what I'm saying is it's the same issue.

She just did what this woman did.

The whole time she's pressing through the crowd, she's not feeling any better.

She's not looking any better to the natural eye.

She's not saying anything other than what she had already said.

The whole time she was pressing through the crowd, she's not feeling healed, but she's not letting her feelings stop her.

Amen.

You know, it's easy to see when somebody's faith, where somebody's faith is when they just they talk about their feelings and they just follow their feelings.

See, the difference between faith and mental assent is mental assent will say, I don't have that, but they'll act like they have it.

Whereas faith says, I'm the healed of the Lord, and then faith talks healed, faith acts healed.

But talking healed and acting healed is not denying what you're dealing with.

If you don't give faith a subject to work on, it's inert.

It's in neutral, it's not working.

Amen.

Well, saying I don't have it, that is my faith.

Nope, because faith and dishonesty don't work together.

Well, by saying I don't have it, I'm just saying I'm healed.

No, no, your words are vital.

There's a difference between saying I don't have it and saying I'm healed.

There's a big difference.

I'm healed is saying I'm healed in spite of what I see.

Right?

You know, I know a number of you in here.

You're married, and I don't see your spouse with you, but you're married.

But I don't see your spouse.

And you may be sitting there and you don't feel married, but you're married.

Whether you feel it or not.

Right?

So you cannot make a decision based on your current circumstance and your feeling.

Hallelujah.

So feeling feelings derail many because that becomes their focus.

If I feel better, I'm better.

If I don't feel better, I'm not better.

And then many just focus on denying the feeling.

You're not fighting feelings.

You're fighting sickness, not feelings.

See, that that that wants to become the focus, the feeling.

I've had people come in a prayer line and say, I just want to feel better.

I understand that, but understand what has to happen to feel better.

Healing has to come.

Healing has to come.

And so we're standing for healing, not feeling.

And and and and uh a lot of teaching has taught people to deny feeling, and and and thinking that if they just deny the feeling, then that is the secret to the health, and it's just not.

I'm not fighting a feeling, I'm fighting sickness.

See, feelings are a symptom.

Not evidence that you're not healed.

They're not evidence that you're not healed.

I've had people tell me, well, I just feel like if I go to the doctor, that's saying I'm not healed.

Well, you've got to determine where that's coming from.

Is that something in your spirit or something that's been worked up in your mind?

Amen.

I'm just a 100% believer in this.

And if you disagree with me, you can.

If you tell me that God told you not to go to the doctor, I believe that you'll end up healed.

I just believe that.

If God told you not to, but if you didn't go because of fear or some other reason, now the door is wide open to what you're dealing with to overtake your life.

Amen.

So many believe that denying the that by denying the feelings, they're in faith for healing, when in reality the reverse is the case.

They're so focused on the feeling, they're not focused on healing.

And a very simple illustration of that is well, I thought I was healed, but the pain's still there.

Now wait a minute.

See, that's the reverse.

The pain might be there, but that doesn't mean you're not healed.

Jesus carried your pain.

Right?

And how are we going to receive that?

By faith.

What is faith?

It's a process.

Very often, I've seen it over and over again.

Somebody will receive instant relief or instantaneous healing or whatever the case may be.

But more often than not, it's I receive it by faith and I walk it out, and the process of faith eradicates the situation that I'm dealing with.

That's what's happening.

Amen.

So they're so focused on the feeling, they're not focused on healing.

Amen.

And I've taught on this at length.

I've watched people many years, and they get so focused on where did I open the door?

Where did I open the door?

Where did I open the door?

That they're not focused on getting healed.

Just focused on the door.

Right?

You know, the door to your front front, if the front door of your home's open and dirt's blowing in, don't worry about how the door got open.

Just get it closed.

That's how you stop it.

Right?

Amen.

Now, amplified Bible says of that verse in Mark, for she said, verse 28, for she kept saying, If I touch even his clothes, I will be whole.

So what does that tell me?

Faith looks beyond feelings.

Faith looks beyond feelings.

It doesn't deny him, it looks beyond them.

Alright, it looks beyond them.

Verse 29 says, And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up.

Notice.

And now she feels something different.

She felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

Well, how would she feel in her body that she was healed?

Because it was different than what she was feeling in the press.

She didn't feel healed in the press.

When did she feel healed?

When healing came.

That's when she felt healed.

The Weast Bible says, and immediately there was dried up the fountain of her blood, and suddenly she came to feel in her body that she had been healed of her plague and was at that moment in a state of health.

So at that moment she felt like she was in a state of health, not until then.

But her feelings didn't stop her.

Hallelujah.

So suddenly her feelings changed.

Suddenly she went from feeling sick to being healed, to feeling healed.

Hallelujah.

And notice verse 34, Jesus said unto her, daughter, your faith has made you whole.

Go in peace and be whole of your plague.

So Jesus says the way this woman acted and what she said and the steps she took, he said that was faith.

He said, This was faith.

The Lord told Brother Hagin in a vision, he said, if anybody will take the four steps that this woman took, they can have anything they desire from me.

That's where the little book came from, write your own ticket with God.

Man, when I heard that, I made this the intent, intent, intention of my life.

I want to see what happened to her.

And the first thing I began to see was she didn't deny what she was dealing with.

You know, people can get so wrapped up in peripheral issues.

Well, you know, she was unclean, and if they'd have found her, this, that, and the other.

Listen, that didn't matter to that woman.

She could have cared less.

She's sick.

She needs to be whole.

She needs to be well.

I've got to focus on what her faith brought her, not what might have happened to her.

Right?

Amen.

I've had people tell me before they say, well, you know, I was sick and I near about died.

I said, but you didn't.

But you didn't.

The Lord saved you, the Lord healed you.

Right?

I'm not shortening their testimony.

It's just people can get focused on that because fear will start coming.

Well, you know, I battled this a few years ago and I almost died, but you didn't.

But you didn't die.

You made it.

You didn't die.

You lived.

Right?

So you don't let those feelings come and say it's going to pull me back in that same place I was in.

No, it's not.

You're going to go from glory to glory to glory to glory.

You're going to go from feeling better to feeling better to feeling better to feeling better to absolutely done with it.

Oh, hallelujah.

The Barclay translation says, daughter, your faith has cured you.

Your faith has cured you.

Another says, you're now well because of your faith.

Yet another says, it's your faith that cured you.

And one more, the Norley translation says, your faith has brought the cure.

So I reiterate that Jesus called what this woman did faith.

He called it faith.

She didn't deny her feelings.

She stayed in faith despite her feelings.

Look at Romans chapter 4.

Now Romans chapter 4 is talking to us about our father in the faith, Abraham, his stand of faith.

Romans chapter 4 and verse 19.

Romans 4 · chapter mention

It says, and being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb.

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God and being fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Now, very often, when that's read, being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body.

And here's I've I've heard people that I respect greatly teach and preach this this way.

Well, he didn't pay attention to his body.

That's not right.

It's not right.

That's not what he did.

And when you look at other versions and you look at it deeper, you understand that that's the truth.

All right?

Because understand something.

He wasn't weak in faith.

King James says he considered not his own body now dead.

So he knew his body was dead.

And he knew that Sarah was barren.

Right?

The Amplified Bible says he did not weaken in faith when he considered the utter impotence of his own body.

This is important.

It starts off with he understood the weakness of his body, but he didn't weaken in faith.

He didn't weaken in faith.

So there were feelings attached to this, but it didn't weaken his faith.

Feelings cannot weaken your faith if feelings are not your focus.

Right?

It's not denial.

Notice it doesn't say he didn't weaken in faith because he denied the impotence of his own body.

No.

He considered it in light of the promise that God had made.

What was the promise God had made?

One that comes out of your own body will be your heir.

And Sarah will be the one that gives birth to that child.

And so, in light of the promise God had made him, he didn't weaken in faith, even though what he said looked to be totally contrary to what God promised.

How can this happen?

Well, he kept the light of the promise of God in the forefront of his spirit.

One translation says, his faith did not waver, although he was well aware that his body was as good as dead.

He was well aware of it.

But yet it starts off again with his faith didn't waver.

Hallelujah.

Say out loud, my feelings don't affect my faith.

Oh, hallelujah.

Amen.

You know, I've had experience along these lines.

And like you'll be dealing with somebody that's dealing with like sugar diabetes and these different things.

And I've had people come to me and say, well, you know, I was believing for healing, but then I took my uh blood sugar, and you know it's still high.

Well, what do you do with that?

I understand we can't you can't deny that, but see, they're taking that test and it weakens their faith.

He didn't weaken in faith in light of what God had said.

He didn't weaken in faith when he looked at the natural circumstance.

Amen.

So he can't deny feelings, but they don't have to weaken your faith.

Another translation says, he understood that his body was practically dead, he was about a hundred years old, and that Sarah could not have children either, but Abraham's faith did not weaken.

Why?

His faith wasn't tied to his feelings.

His faith wasn't tied to his feelings.

Think about how people that, not you, but people that are feelings ruled.

Think about how they talk all the time.

I feel sick, I feel tired, I feel depressed, I feel lost, I name it.

Right?

Their faith becomes tied to their feelings.

And here's what happens: when feelings are ruling, they wear you out, they wear you down.

Because just in your natural self, the only way that you stand up against the onslaught of feelings is by faith.

Faith is the victory, faith is the shield, right?

If I'm standing just in my own self, those feelings will wear me out because I'm not designed to be under that pressure 24 hours a day.

Hallelujah.

But his faith wasn't tied to his feelings.

Say that one more time.

My faith is not tied to my feelings.

And so if you're believing for healing from leg pain in your right leg, and you get up in the morning and you put that foot on the floor and there's the pain, don't say, Well, I don't guess I'm healed.

Nope.

Glory to God.

Jesus bore my pain and carried my sickness and disease by his stripes.

I'm healed.

Amen.

And then you might have to go take something for the pain.

But don't stand there and say, Well, I'm taking this because I guess I'm not healed.

No, thank you, Lord.

Thank you, Lord, that I can get some relief here.

Thank you, Lord, that I can get some help while I'm standing for my healing.

Oh, hallelujah.

Amen.

Do you see that?

I've watched people dealing with life-threatening diseases.

And you know the Bible says the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Is that right?

And the Bible says that there's joy and peace in believing.

Right?

So if I'm in faith, I'm going to be in joy and peace.

Right?

If I'm believing.

And I've watched people, I've watched people standing in life-threatening illnesses.

And now hear me when I say this, and complain.

Complain about the medicine.

Complain about this.

Complain about that.

Complain about the other.

And their faith is sitting there going, look, you're burying me under the complaints.

Because I can't operate.

Right?

And then at the same time, they're trying to deny the feelings and deny the report.

You can't do that.

What's the best way to approach that?

Now you may know this, but but but it's my class.

What's the best way to approach this?

The doctor might give you something that you don't want to take, but you're in a stand for healing.

Right?

So you take it, and how do you take it?

Like this, Father, in the name of Jesus.

The doctor says this will help me and this will aid me.

And so I'm taking it by faith.

And I believe it's going to work to the best of its ability.

It's not the healing, Father, but it'll help me with the symptoms.

Amen.

Do you see that?

Well, I just believe if I'm healed, I don't need to take no medicine.

Did God tell you that, or is that just your misconception of faith?

See, that could be the misconception of faith.

Did God say that or not?

Well, I just believe, you know, if you're healed, you just throw your medicine away.

Well, did God tell you that?

Or is that your misconception of faith?

Look, I've seen it on both lines.

I've seen people go home and get rid of their medicine and completely healed.

But more often than not, that was after they'd been under the word for an extensive period of time.

I've seen very few people in my years in this healing ministry, I've seen very few people just have hands laid on them, go home, throw their medicine away.

I've seen a lot of people that weren't taught right have hands laid on them, then go home and throw their medicine away, and it caused them big problems.

This is important.

Why?

Because is my faith where it needs to be to do that?

This is important.

And so understand that Abraham understood the issue with his body, but notice he didn't doubt God.

Another translation says, without doubting God for a moment, he accepted it in the reality that he was 100 years old and his ability to father a child was severely limited, and that Sarah had gone through menopause and was beyond childbearing years.

So notice this.

Without doubting God for a moment, he accepted the reality of his situation.

This is it.

But he didn't doubt God.

Why?

In light of the promise of God.

And when you do something like this, you shut the door to the enemy, you shut the door to those condemning voices.

Well, if you were healed, why this and why that?

And all these different things?

Because you're not doubting God for one moment.

Amen.

The weast Bible says, and not being weak with respect to his faith.

He attentively considered his own body permanently dead.

Whoo, glory to God.

He being about 100 years old, also the deadness of Sarah's womb.

When you sit and you consider the absolute impossibility for this to happen, it's impossible.

There's no way.

The Bible says right here in the Greek, his own body permanently dead.

No chance.

And Sarah, barren, never been able to have children.

This wasn't something that came on her when she became older.

She was never able to have children.

And ever how long they've been married now.

They've been married nearly a hundred years.

And she's been barren this whole time.

And notice what it says.

He wasn't weak with respect to his faith, even though he could see the utter impossibility of this.

Can you imagine the feelings that come with that?

I've been standing in faith.

I've been standing, believing, I'm believing God, I'm serving God, I'm doing what needs to be done.

But notice it says he was strengthened with respect to his faith.

And the Greek places this in the past tense.

Having given glory to God.

Having given glory to God.

So when he received that promise from God, there was a point that came that he gave glory to God for this being a reality, and that's where he left it.

Hallelujah.

So he didn't deny what he could see or feel.

Yet what he could see or feel didn't weaken his faith.

Hallelujah.

I uh there was a dear lady that we walked through a cancer diagnosis with, and she's well today and cancer free.

But here's the thing is, man, it was bad report after bad report after bad report.

I mean, it was it was, you know, first of all, she wasn't feeling well.

She went to the doctor, and and they, you know, they thought it might have just been, you know, some kind of bug or something.

Then they started digging deeper, and then it was, you know, had something to do with her blood, and then they started digging deeper, and now it's cancer.

Right?

And then not only now is it cancer, it's bad cancer.

As if there's a good cancer.

Right?

But it's it just got worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse.

Right?

And I'm I'm there as her pastor, and I'm looking at it.

It's man, it's like the dominoes are falling, right?

But throughout that whole thing, here was here was her response to everything.

I am the healed of the Lord.

Whatever comes up, we'll just deal with it.

Right?

I've taught people that over the years.

I was dealing with uh uh uh a family that was dealing with uh a child that had been born in the, was going to be born in their family.

And it was a bad situation.

It was bad from the beginning.

And I was talking to them one time, and they were asking me, you know, about what are we gonna do and what are we how what are we gonna do?

I said, here's what we're gonna do.

We're just gonna deal with whatever comes.

We'll just deal with it.

We'll take the word and we'll deal with it.

Amen.

And I watched this lady, bad report.

I'm the healed of the Lord.

I will not die, but I will live in the name of Jesus.

Right?

Never one time did she tell me, Pastor, I don't have cancer.

I don't have cancer.

She said, Pastor, I'm the healed of the Lord.

This is what they said, but I'm the healed of the Lord.

Three years.

We had to walk through that battle three years, but she's well today.

Never denied, never denied feelings.

This is so important.

Because that weakens faith.

Because I'm I'm saying I don't have it, but I'm still I'm I'm dealing with the issues that come from it.

Right?

I've watched people in such pain from cancer, and the whole time they're in such pain from cancer, doubled over, can't move, because they're in such pain from cancer, saying, I don't have cancer.

I don't have cancer.

How can I help that person?

This is important.

He didn't deny what he could see or feel yet, yet, he could see and what he could see and feel didn't weaken his faith.

That is the stand to faith.

Is that what you see and what you feel doesn't weaken your faith.

I've told this story a lot, he's told it a lot.

But when when uh sister Pastor Caldwell and Miss Jeannie were in that automobile accident, broke her back in three places, they never said, My back's not broken.

She never said that.

The doctor said, We want to operate, we want to put these rods in your back, and right here in her spirit, I've I've talked to her personally about this.

She's talked to me personally about it numerous times.

She said, right here, right here in my spirit, I just knew I didn't need to have that surgery.

Now that surgery is not wrong for every, it's not wrong.

But she said, right here, I just knew, and here's what she knew God loves me too much to let me be paralyzed.

And she told the doctor, I haven't had any problems with my back, and I'm not gonna have any problems with my back.

You're not gonna operate on me.

And then she just Followed what the Lord said.

Now that's what the Lord told her.

That doesn't mean that you don't need to have a procedure.

That's what the Lord told her.

And then he told her, he said, now you do go home and you stay in bed for 30 days and don't move.

And she went home, stayed in bed for 30 days.

At the end of that 30-day period of time, she told Pastor, Today's my Jubilee day.

And they went back to the doctor for that checkup.

And the doctor took all the scans, did everything they did, and he looked at the x-rays and he goes, Boy, they did a good job on that procedure with you.

And she said, I didn't have any procedure.

He said, Well, that's amazing.

He said, This is perfect.

But she didn't deny the feelings.

I say, She didn't deny the feelings.

Faith will never try to convince other people.

Your faith is personal to you.

I don't have anything to prove to anybody.

Hallelujah.

Faith is my personal conviction that I'm healed.

I remember a gentleman called me one time, and uh he had been dealing with issues with his heart.

And uh he called me, and it was uh not necessarily early in the morning.

I I was getting ready to go into the office, and he and he we were living in Kansas at the time.

He called me, and uh he said, Pastor, and of course I knew who it was.

He said, you know, I I had to call the ambulance, you know, all these things going on with my heart, and he said, uh, I'm I'm uh I'm in the they got me in a room, and and he started he started going through all these confessions.

And I listened, but the whole time I'm listening, I'm hearing fear.

I'm not hearing faith.

And so he stopped and I said, Okay.

And I called his name and I said, Brother, so and so, you're afraid.

He said, Yeah, I am.

I said, Then your faith's not working.

We got to get rid of that fear first, right?

And I had him go over this one verse over and over again.

I will not die, but I will live.

I will not die, but I will live.

And I said, and here's why you will not die but live.

Your heart is fixed.

Your heart is fixed.

Amen.

You watch, nine times out of ten, when somebody's just machine gunning confessions and machine gunning scriptures, nine times out of ten they're afraid.

There's got to be that anchor.

I will know, I will not die, but I will live.

Amen.

Because what's what's the fear?

If you're diagnosed with any disease, what's the fear?

You're gonna die.

My heart's gonna quit.

Cancer's gonna take me out.

No, no, number one, I gotta deal with that.

I will not die, but I will live.

Amen.

Well, you know, he's alive today and getting better, so praise God.

When I was standing for my healing, people knew there was something wrong.

You can't you can't see somebody that needs healing and not know something's wrong.

It's just the reality of it.

People were having dreams about me that something was wrong.

People were hearing from God that something was wrong.

Thankfully it was spiritual people and they just prayed about it.

They didn't they didn't talk about it.

I definitely felt like something was wrong.

Every day.

Every day.

There wasn't a day that I got up that I didn't feel like something was wrong.

But I'd made my decision, and and how it came to me was I see me as healed.

That's how that's how it is.

Amen.

And there there was no denying, can't deny that.

You know, when you when you lay down to sleep at night and cold sweats and you can't sleep, and it's just a horrible existence.

You can't deny that.

Amen.

So I learned to go to sleep by faith.

No, Lord, you give your beloved slumber.

David said that even though a host would encamp around about me, he said, I will lay me down and I will sleep because the Lord will sustain me.

Because that's when the battle intensified.

That's when the battle intensified.

Because all these images would come of me dying and my wife being left alone to have to deal with all this stuff.

We had one child at home then, uh, uh, we have one child at home now, but we had one child at home then is before this child came alone.

Amen.

And uh and and and the images would come of them being without a father and my wife being, and what it would do to people in the church.

He would bring people in the church to my mind, this person's gonna backslide when you die.

And you know, you are gonna die.

I don't know if you've ever had a voice be that real to you.

I mean, it was like sitting in this room and hearing somebody say, You are going to die.

You're not going to live.

Right?

And then you've got to verbally open up your mouth and say, I will not die, but I will live and declare the works of the Lord.

Right?

You have to.

But here's the thing the whole time you feel like you're gonna die.

You feel like you can't breathe.

You feel like this isn't working.

Hallelujah.

Hope I'm helping you.

I'd get in the car to drive across the city to uh an appointment or a meeting, and it would start.

You're gonna die on the way to this meeting.

You're gonna die on the way to this meeting.

And then I'd get there, get to the meeting, and it would let up because I'm at the meeting.

Didn't die.

See, that ought to tell us something.

The devil's telling me I'm gonna die, and I'm I'm there.

He told me I was gonna die on my way to the meeting, and I didn't die.

Right?

I'd be in the meeting, it would lift up.

It would, that heaviness would lift off me.

Then I'd go to get in the car again, and he'd say, You're gonna die on the way home.

Amen.

I'd pack my wife up to send her up here to record uh television.

And he would say, Well, she's gone, you're gonna die.

She's gonna come home and find you dead.

Well, I only had one response to that.

I will not die, but I will live.

And declare the works of the Lord.

Because what's he trying to tell me?

You're gonna die.

You're gonna die.

It was easy.

People could see that.

I don't know how much weight I lost during that fight.

A lot.

But here's the thing.

Here's the thing.

Even though it could be seen, even though it could be felt, I had to make the determination that's not going to affect my faith.

That's not gonna affect my faith.

Amen.

And thankfully, you know, I had a foundation of the word of God.

But it became something, and again, I don't give this as a formula, but it's just what I did.

I just began to get in the presence of the Lord and just soak there in the presence of the Lord.

Because he said, in his presence was fullness of joy, and at his right hand was peace forevermore.

The Bible says in Psalm 107 that the word is healing, that he sent his word and he healed him.

In the book of Proverbs, it says that the word is life to my flesh and health to my body.

And so I would just I would get in the presence of the Lord.

And I had a song that I would just put on repeat and play over and over again on the CD, I see me as healed.

Hallelujah.

And I would get in the presence of the Lord, and when I would get in the presence of the Lord, it was like in the beginning I would feel better for uh two or three minutes.

But then all that would come back.

And then the more I did it, the more I did it, the more I did it, it would just get longer and longer and longer.

It got to the point that I didn't want to do anything but lay there on my living room floor because that there was there was such peace, there was such such a feeling of healing in my body.

Hallelujah.

And can I share this with you?

I'm gonna tell on myself.

I was going out to teach our Bible college, and uh, and again, people will hear that and they'll say, well, see, you didn't stop, so that's the key.

No, I didn't stop because I knew what my faith took.

Right?

If I if I I know me.

So I'm on my way out, and you know, I don't know if you've ever been tired of speaking the word of God.

I I'm not gonna ask for a show of hands, but you know, it's like you're just declaring the word, you're just declaring the word, and it gets to the place where if you hear one more person, one one one mirror, one more person tell you that you need to declare the word, it's like I just might slap them, right?

I and so I'm driving my wife's car.

She had a little gold car, then had a moonroof in it, and so I'm driving her car, and and uh she had something in the she had a uh a CD by Brother Moore in the CD player, and I opened the moonroof, and I w again I wasn't feeling good.

I wasn't feeling like going.

I didn't want to go.

And so I thought I'm gonna turn whatever's in there on, get my mind off this.

And it was Brother Moore.

And the first words out of his mouth was, I know you don't want to say the word anymore.

I know you don't want to confess the word anymore, but you have to, you have to confess the word.

I turned it off and said, shut up, just shut up.

I know you've never done that.

I understand, right?

Now I turned it back on.

I asked the Lord to forgive me.

I turned it back on because I knew that was what I needed.

Right?

But but but but the the thing is, is the more I stayed in the now, I had to learn to get that moving with me.

Right?

To take that with me.

Amen.

And uh listen, I I remember the day.

I remember the day I got out of bed and I'm like, wait a minute, something's different.

This is this is different.

Right?

Because for months, for months, it was like somebody was waiting on me every morning to just give me that feeling.

Amen.

And and and here's the thing.

But I thought, oh, something's different.

And it went probably half a day.

I didn't, I didn't feel bad.

Then it tried to come on towards the end of the day, but then like the next day I got up and it was three-quarters of the day.

Now what was happening?

Healing was overtaking the circumstance.

Notice I'd not been given voice to the circumstance.

I'd not understand, I'd not been let the feelings limit my faith.

And I I can tell you the time of the month.

It was it was September, and it was the week of our faith explosion.

And I uh the the the we started our faith explosion on Friday, went Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and the uh two nights before that, a friend of mine in Topeka, Kansas had their camp meeting, uh Greg Varney, light of the World Christian Center, and he had uh Scott Webb teaching that week, and uh Kevin Nane Durant and Michelle and I went, and so I'm I'm soaking in the word there, and uh uh I'm I'm just this thing's just letting go.

It's just letting go.

And uh I remember going out to pick my dad up from the airport.

He had flown in to be a part of our faith explosion, and uh I picked him up and we were sitting around the house, and and I had a meeting with some guys from the church uh for them to talk to my dad and just to hear his stories, just give dad a chance to pour into people.

And uh I said, Well, uh uh, do you want to go get a coffee before we go?

Now, I was surprised when it came out of my mouth because I I I'd grown to I didn't, I I couldn't handle coffee.

It was it I was feeling so bad I I couldn't handle it.

And I I thought, well, I'll get a I'll get a decaf.

And boy, I did, and it was good.

And the next one wasn't decaf, and it was better.

Right?

But here's the thing.

We went through faith explosion, and I was fine.

Absolutely 100% fine.

And probably a week after faith explosion is when I tell you that story.

I was walking back from checking our mail, and uh the Lord said to me, He said, Now you turn around and you rebuke that spirit that's been following you, and you tell it to cease its activity against you.

And I did.

And that's been, oh my goodness, 20, almost 20 years ago.

And symptoms tried to come back, but he gave me the verse, Nahim 1-9, this affliction will not arise again the second time.

Hallelujah.

The feelings changed as I stood in faith.

The feelings will change, but don't let the feelings overwhelm your faith, because they will change.

They will change.

Hallelujah.

And that that that's the process that I still engage in.

I don't see any reason to change what works.

Hallelujah.

Glory to God.

Father, we thank you today.

We magnify your precious name for the healing of your precious people.

Father, we teach this message and this lesson with the understanding, firmly knowing, Lord, knowing personally how feelings can try to convince us that what you have bought and paid for in the blood of Jesus is not working or is not happening or is not ours.

But your word says that whatever Jesus shed his blood for is mine by covenant right.

And because of Galatians chapter 3 and verse 13, I can confidently say that I have been redeemed from the curse of the law, which includes every sickness and every disease.

Galatians 3 · chapter mention

Lord, the end of Deuteronomy 28 says, and if there is any sickness or disease not listed in this list, he said, that's under the curse as well.

So those things that I know about and those things that I don't know about, I'm redeemed from them.

And so, Father, it doesn't matter what I may be dealing with currently, I'm redeemed.

It doesn't matter what I may deal with in the future, I'm redeemed.

It, Father, it doesn't matter what virus, what uh issue may come up on this earth.

Father, no matter what it is, we're redeemed from it.

We don't expect to have it.

We don't expect to walk in it.

We're redeemed in Jesus' name.

And Father, I just thank you for the healing of your people.

I thank you for the healing of those watching online.

Father, I thank you for the healing of those in this room today.

And I thank you, Father, that the feelings, the feelings will decrease as the healing increases.

And I call them healed, I call them strong, I call them pain-free, I call them well in the name of Jesus, and those things that would try to contradict that, counteract that, countermand that, we stand against it in the name of Jesus, and we declare in Jesus' name that our faith will not weaken, that our belief will not stumble or stagger, for we are what you say we are, and we are healed.

In the name of Jesus.
