  1. Open your Bibles to Acts the ninth chapter.

  2. And I thought about my message that I had prepared for tonight at Life of Faith.

  3. And the title of the message is The Life of Faith.

  4. The Mystery of Faith Revealed.

  5. And I want you to read with me, hold your place there at Acts 9, and then I want you to go over to Romans, and I want you to read chapter 1, verse 15.

  6. Paul says, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and to the Greek.

  7. And therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, the just shall live by faith.

  8. Faith is not a doctrine, it's not a car, a house, a suit of clothes, a piece of jewelry.

  9. It's not a materialistic end result.

  10. But a lot of people have had to use faith to get healed, to obtain things.

  11. You know, in the beginning we didn't have anything as we started traveling and started ministering.

  12. We didn't have any, you know, vehicles and instruments and a PA system.

  13. So we had to believe God for all that.

  14. Plus, we had to believe God for our family, our food, our substance, because we all both quit our jobs and started traveling and singing.

  15. And one of Jeannie's professional secretary friends told her she'd lost her mind.

  16. Said, You had a uh premier position with the secretary to the president of the Bankers Association.

  17. Now you're going to leave it to go on the road and sing?

  18. She said, Yes.

  19. That's what God's called us to do.

  20. So we had to use our faith for things like that.

  21. And we just started using it where we were.

  22. Clothes.

  23. I remember Jeannie went and cleaned out her closet one time.

  24. I know I saw what she was doing.

  25. I said, What are you doing?

  26. She said, Do you have any money to buy any clothes?

  27. I said, No.

  28. She said, Well, I'm going to do it the Bible way.

  29. I'm going to give these clothes.

  30. And it says, Give, and it shall be given unto you.

  31. Good measure, pressed down, shaking together, shaking together, etc.

  32. So that's what she did.

  33. And then one day she came home.

  34. She'd been asked to speak for a Bible study.

  35. And the lady owned a dress shop.

  36. And she said, Sister Jeannie, before you go home, I'd like for you to go through my dress shop and see if there's anything you'd like.

  37. And Jeannie said, Oh no, she's going to want me to buy something, and I don't have any money.

  38. So she said, Find some things that you like.

  39. And she said, I'd like to give them to you because we like to sew for our business.

  40. So Jeannie comes home with several dresses and she lays them out on the bed and she says, Come see what the Lord has done.

  41. So Ronnie and I, that's our son, we walked in there and we saw these clothes, still had the tags on them.

  42. I said, Where's ours?

  43. She looked at us, she said, Use your own faith.

  44. So we had to use faith for our food.

  45. We didn't have any money to buy groceries.

  46. One Wednesday, there was a knock at our door.

  47. There was a lady there, she handed us a$50 bill.

  48. She said, My husband was a traveling salesman.

  49. He was on the road, and the Lord spoke to him that the Caldwells needed$50 and they needed it today.

  50. And so she came over and gave us$50.

  51. I was thrilled because that meant God knew where we lived.

  52. Jeannie was embarrassed.

  53. She felt like it was charity.

  54. I said, Well, I don't care what it is, we got$50 to buy groceries.

  55. She said, No, first we're going to give the tithe.

  56. I said, The tithe?

  57. I said, we hadn't had it long.

  58. She said, no, but we're going to give the first 10% to the Lord.

  59. And so that began our life of traveling.

  60. Then many of you know the rest of the story.

  61. We traveled for many years and then pastored a church for 15 years, 35 years, excuse me, the first one for 15 years.

  62. And I wonder sometimes if people that think about faith and claim to be faithful, if they really know what faith is.

  63. So that's what I'm going to share with you tonight.

  64. Acts chapter 9, verse 1.

    Acts 9:1

  65. Saul, breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, and he desired of him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, underline that, of this way.

  66. Said out loud, of this way.

  67. Whether they were men or women, that he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

  68. These were arrest warrants, the equivalent of an arrest warrant today.

  69. He got it from the leadership, and he was Saul of Tarsus at first, but you know, then he became Paul the apostle.

  70. But in his original form, he was persecuting the church.

  71. And so he got arrest warrants to arrest, if you please, these people that were of that way.

  72. Now we're going to find out a little bit more about what that means.

  73. Go over to verse 19.

  74. Acts 9.

  75. And let's see.

  76. Let's go to verse.

  77. Is that right?

  78. Yes.

  79. I'm sorry, but chapter 19.

  80. Chapter 19.

  81. And we're gonna go to verse nine and read that.

  82. Chapter nineteen and verse nine.

  83. But when divers were hardened and believed not, but spoke evil of that way, there it is again, underlined, that way, before the multitude.

  84. And now go to verse 23.

  85. And at the same time, there arose no small stir about that way.

  86. There's three references to that way.

  87. And I remember Brother Hagin used to speak about this every once in a while, but I never really understood what those words meant together.

  88. There was no small stir about that way.

  89. If you can, please go back and reconstruct Paul's life.

  90. He was Saul of Tarsus, persecuting the church, holding their coats while they were stoned to death, participant in murder.

  91. He meets the Lord Jesus on the road to Damascus, and he gets saved, born again, filled with the Spirit.

  92. He is now an apostle to the Gentiles.

  93. He is Paul the Apostle.

  94. His assignment was to teach all those that were raised under the law.

  95. His assignment was to teach them that there's a new and living way.

  96. You can see that wording in Hebrews.

  97. It says there's a new and living way through faith in Jesus Christ.

  98. Now, all these people he ministered to, they didn't know what faith was about.

  99. Quote, faith.

  100. They'd been raised under the law.

  101. They had been obedient to the law, but yet they didn't understand what he was talking about.

  102. The way of faith.

  103. And the Bible tells us we're supposed to live by faith.

  104. Now I like to finish the sentence, it makes more sense and it'll help you.

  105. The way of faith, living by faith, finish the sentence.

  106. Living by faith of Jesus Christ and what he did on Calvary.

  107. Now see, they didn't know Jesus Christ.

  108. They didn't recognize him as Messiah.

  109. But living by faith.

  110. When you ask people, said what denomination are you?

  111. Well, I'm I'm of this denomination, I'm of this faith or that faith.

  112. No, when you we read these things, put them all together.

  113. The just shall live by faith in Jesus Christ and what he did on Calvary.

  114. That sums it all up.

  115. I'm living by the faith, and at one place it says of Jesus Christ, another place it says in Jesus Christ, and what he did on Calvary.

  116. Now I think if you go over to Peter, if you go to 1 Peter, I think, and let's look at no 2 Peter.

  117. 2 Peter chapter 3.

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  118. I'm sorry.

  119. Yeah.

  120. 2 Peter chapter 1, verse 3.

    2 Peter 1:3

  121. According as his divine power hath given to us all things that were pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue, whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature.

  122. Everything that you will have need of, it says, all things that pertain to life and godliness.

  123. That's already been given to us.

  124. It already belongs to us.

  125. It was promised and it was delivered at the cross, on Calvary, when Jesus became our sin substitute, everything we would ever have need of, Jesus has already taken care of it on the cross.

  126. So when you say you're supposed to live by faith, or I am going to live the life of faith, or the just shall live by faith, what does that mean?

  127. Because today, if you ask different people what it means to live by faith, you'll get different meanings.

  128. Because it's been so deluded and confused and complexed and mistaught, misunderstood, misapplied.

  129. And here's a clean definition.

  130. I'm going to live the life of faith.

  131. And my faith that I'm going to live is my faith in Jesus Christ, who He is and what He did.

  132. Amen.

  133. If I'm going to use my faith to be healed, then I live, use my faith to believe that Jesus Christ obtained my healing on Calvary.

  134. If I'm going to live by faith that all my needs are supplied according to God's riches and glory with Christ Jesus, then I have to know that in Isaiah 53 it says Jesus became poor so I could prosper.

  135. Everything that I needed, he did for me on the cross at Calvary.

  136. I like to say it this way: the great exchange.

  137. Jesus became everything we were so we could become like him and have everything that he did.

  138. I was a sinner, he became sin.

  139. Now he didn't become a sinner, he became sin.

  140. He became what I was, so I could become what he is.

  141. I was sick, it says he was wounded for our transgressions, he was wounded for our disease, by his stripes we were healed.

  142. Now I want to give you something here in just a minute, if I can stay on track and not get off on side trips too much, that's probably some of you have never heard.

  143. Have you ever heard any teaching?

  144. Uh, and I don't mean that that it's going to be heretical, you never heard it.

  145. It means that most people have not heard it because they haven't applied it.

  146. Have you ever heard any teaching on the rest of God?

  147. R-E-S-T, and take it from Genesis where it said, and God worked for six days and then he rested.

  148. It wasn't because he was tired, it was because he had finished his work.

  149. Amen.

  150. So, what did Jesus do on the cross?

  151. He finished his work.

  152. In fact, let me skip over there right now.

  153. Okay.

  154. Let's go over to.

  155. Well, I'm just going to let you write this down.

  156. I think I've told you what you need to know.

  157. The Bible says in Luke 18, 8, when the Son of Man cometh, will he find faith in the earth?

  158. Yes, he will.

  159. I believe he will.

  160. I'll be believe there'll be a remnant.

  161. Uh let's preface what I'm going to tell you with two scriptures.

  162. Let's go to Psalm 103, 20.

  163. Psalm 103 20.

  164. And I'm going to assume that you know something about faith and confession.

  165. Confession brings possession.

  166. Of course, faith and confession got ridiculed and criticized, name it and claim it, etc.

  167. But the biblical principle substantiates that you must confess what you believe to have it, to access it.

  168. Confession brings you into possession of what Jesus did for you on the Calvary.

  169. Okay, look at 103, Psalm 103, verse 20.

    Psalms 103:20

  170. Bless the Lord ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

  171. I want you to read that last part there where it says, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

  172. Everybody together, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

  173. Now, it might seem a little nitpicking here, but he didn't say the voice of his word.

  174. I mean hearkening to his word, it said hearkening to the voice.

  175. So you can scripturally, biblically assume that anybody that speaks the word of God, the angels recognize it and they hearken to it.

  176. They are drawn to that word.

  177. They hear, understand, and know God's word.

  178. So if you're standing there speaking the word, the angels are hearkening unto it.

  179. Like what one preacher said, he said, you know, if you put on the whole armor of God, excuse me, if you put on the whole armor of God, and you keep the faceplate down, and you start speaking the word of God, Satan doesn't know that that's not God in there.

  180. I'm not, you know, lowering you to, or lowering God down to your level, or raising you up to his of a of a little God.

  181. He's just saying, those angels understand the word of God.

  182. And they're hearkening to the voice of the Word of God.

  183. Okay?

  184. Now let's go over to Hebrews chapter 1 and verse 14.

    Hebrews 1 chapter mention

  185. Talking about angels.

  186. Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

  187. How many heirs of salvation do we have in here?

  188. Even the young people know that they're heirs of salvation.

  189. Heirs of salvation.

  190. The angels are ministering spirits to minister for heirs of salvation.

  191. Now, I'm I guess you could ask angels to find you a parking place at Walmart, but that's not what he's talking about here.

  192. He's not, you know, cheapening the spiritual value of this, but they are to minister for you as heirs of salvation.

  193. Which is all the more reason why you should speak and give voice to the Word of God.

  194. Charles Capson and I used to talk these things all the time while we were fishing, while we were hunting, while we were, you know, and a lot of the stuff that we discussed in the bass boat wound up in his books.

  195. Some of them at my expense.

  196. Because we were fishing one time, and this bass got my blessed 13 and broke my line.

  197. And Charles said, Well, if you were really a man of faith, you would stand up and command that fish to come back to you.

  198. Well, that's kind of like Peter walking on the water.

  199. He hollered and said, Jesus, if that's you, bid me come.

  200. Well, it was Jesus.

  201. So he didn't really have any other choice.

  202. If that's you, bid me come.

  203. He said, Come.

  204. So Charles said, if you were a man of faith, well, I'm a man of faith.

  205. So I stood up and I spoke to that fish and called it by name, fish.

  206. And I said, You come back over here and bring my lure back to me.

  207. And then I sat down.

  208. All of a sudden, you could see the water moving.

  209. Now you listening, James?

  210. Yes, sir.

  211. And that fish jumped up out of the water and spit that lure right beside the boat.

  212. And I reached down and picked it up.

  213. Now here's the part Charles liked to tell.

  214. I looked at that and I said, Charles, I see it, but I don't believe it.

  215. And he ridiculed me about that.

  216. I said, but I didn't have to believe it after I saw it.

  217. I only had to believe it when I said it.

  218. So the word we we tried to get people to realize, because we were doing meetings together in different places in California, one man came up and said, You know, I don't believe in that faith and confession stuff.

  219. He said, I said 365 times I had a new Cadillac, and I never did get one.

  220. Okay.

  221. It's not the number of times that you say anything.

  222. Saying it is involved in getting it deposited in your heart.

  223. Because, Matthew 12, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

  224. What's down there in abundance is going to come out at the time of need, crisis, etc., whatever.

  225. So you spend the time putting the word in your spirit, and then as you are walking through life, whether it's ministry, job, family, and you run into situations, you speak forth that word that has become abundance in your life.

  226. A revelation of.

  227. That's when it begins to work and manifest, and that's when the angels are going to hear the voice of the word of God.

  228. Now, okay.

  229. Psalm 103 20 says that the angels hearken to the voice of the word.

  230. Hebrews 1 14 says they are ministering spirits to minister for you.

  231. Now, let's go over to Hebrews.

  232. And let's start with verse chapter four and verse nine.

  233. Hebrews chapter four, verse nine.

  234. There remaineth, therefore, a rest to the people of God.

  235. That he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

  236. Again, now we're not talking about being tired.

  237. We're talking about God rested when he had finished his work.

  238. He ceased from his work, ceased from his labors, because he had finished what he set out to do.

  239. He created.

  240. It was perfected.

  241. He said, This is perfect, this is perfect.

  242. And he goes on down the line when he created the universe and all the animals, etc.

  243. So here the writer of Hebrews, which I believe is the Apostle Paul, he says, Let's learn, as people of God, to enter into the rest of God as he entered into his rest from his own works.

  244. Now that's a sign right there from his own works.

  245. How many of you have ever tried to make something happen with your efforts?

  246. Your fasting, your prayer, you can pray all day long and fast, you weigh five pounds, you can do all these things, and you're trying to figure out why isn't this working?

  247. You're trying to figure out how to make it work.

  248. He says, I want you to enter into the rest of God.

  249. Now, this is going to sound strange to us, and let him work on your behalf.

  250. But we tend to think, I can't rest, I've got to get this done.

  251. And so we try to make it happen.

  252. We do all kinds of things to bring it to pass.

  253. And what I want to share with you, and what God shared with me, is He wants us to rest in Him.

  254. And to rest in Christ's finished work.

  255. I mean, you can't get any more saved than you are saved.

  256. I mean, you're saved.

  257. There's not there's not good, better, best saved.

  258. There's just saved.

  259. You're saved.

  260. You're born again.

  261. You can't produce any more saved.

  262. So you learn to rest in that.

  263. And you begin to learn to work.

  264. And when you use your faith and you have done your studying, you have confessed the word and you spoken the word and believe it in your heart.

  265. I mean, that's how you got saved.

  266. You know, when they gave the altar call to the Grand Old Opry, he said, if you need a new life, come on down.

  267. So I went on down.

  268. Then they met me at the altar at the stage and said, make this confession of your faith.

  269. You believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

  270. Yes.

  271. You believe God raised you from the dead?

  272. Yes.

  273. You if you believe that, then say that you believe it.

  274. And I repeated it.

  275. I say, and instantly I felt it.

  276. I was different, totally changed.

  277. I told Jeannie, I said, I think our life's fixing to change.

  278. Little did I know how much it was going to change.

  279. But it I was a different person.

  280. Went home, told my family.

  281. My family was the first one I told.

  282. They didn't believe it.

  283. My sister, she she just said, I don't know about you, Bubba.

  284. I'd always been the black sheep of the family, and so I guess they figured this is another one of my excursions, you know, adventures.

  285. But I told everybody else, and then I began to tell the people that I worked with.

  286. At that time when I was in the liquor business, I told all my customers what happened to me.

  287. And you know, they believed me more than my family.

  288. Some of them got saved.

  289. I love to tell this, I witnessed to the first man.

  290. I got saved on Friday night.

  291. Monday morning, I called to my first liquor store, and I witnessed to the clerk, Carl was his name.

  292. I got to know him pretty well.

  293. He's an older gentleman.

  294. I told him what happened to me.

  295. He said, I don't want to hear about it.

  296. Let's get your order and get you out of here.

  297. I witnessed to him every Monday.

  298. Twenty-five years later.

  299. I was Sunday morning in the pulpit, giving an altar call, and there was Carl.

  300. He walked down the aisle and I got to pray with him.

  301. Took 25 years.

  302. And then one of my best friends that I was in the Navy with and I witnessed to him, he said, I don't like being around you anymore.

  303. He said, You used to be a lot of fun, but he said, now you're no fun.

  304. He said, You've changed.

  305. I thought, praise God, somebody noticed, you know, I'm different.

  306. That's what being saved.

  307. I'm not I'm I'm not saved from hell, I'm saved, born again, new creature in Christ.

  308. Well, once you get born again, and and Jeannie kind of humorously had to instruct me on this because she knew more than I did.

  309. I went to every altar call that we were in a church or in an auditorium or crusade or whatever.

  310. I would go to every altar call.

  311. I just go down to the front and stand, and she grabbed me one day.

  312. She said, Honey, you're already saved.

  313. You don't have to go to every altar call.

  314. I said, but I just want to.

  315. I just feel like it.

  316. I just, and uh Matt Gober, who was an outlaw biker, he was, he wrote a book called Unchained, and he was a character.

  317. And he and I were in the Navy and he got saved.

  318. And uh one day I went down at Brother Copeland's Southwest Believers Convention several years ago, had such a beautiful altar call, sweet smell of aroma.

  319. So I just I just went down there and stood behind the crowd that was there like I was an altar worker, and I just wanted to stand there.

  320. And all of a sudden I felt this arm come up and grab hold of mine and slip it inside mine.

  321. And I looked over, it was Mac, and we were both just bawling and squalling.

  322. We just wanted to be in that atmosphere and be a part of what was going on, but you can't get more saved than you're saved.

  323. I mean, you can add to, like it says, add to your faith, build character and all kinds of things, but you're saved.

  324. It's a done deal.

  325. It's finished, right?

  326. Okay.

  327. When you go to bed at night, I want to challenge you with this.

  328. I've done this, and it works, and I want to share with you.

  329. Based on these two scriptures, the angels hearken to the voice of the Lord, and their ministering spirits sent forth to minister for you as an heir of salvation.

  330. When you go to bed at night, I want you to say these four things before you drift off to sleep.

  331. Number one, with your words, release your faith.

  332. With your words, release your faith.

  333. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus.

  334. Now you might be believing for healing, you might be believing for finances, you might be believing for family, for job, whatever.

  335. With your words, release your faith.

  336. Father, I believe, and I release my faith that I am healed by the stripes of Jesus.

  337. Not gonna be.

  338. I am.

  339. Because Jesus already bore my sickness and disease.

  340. By his stripes I'm healed.

  341. Now you may not feel healed.

  342. You may be laying there in fever and coughing and whatever, but you say, according to your word, I release my faith in what Jesus did on the cross.

  343. That's the first one.

  344. Secondly, with your faith, you release the angels.

  345. First thing you do is with your faith, with your words, you release your faith.

  346. With your faith, you release angels, according to Hebrews 1 14.

  347. And you can simply say it this way, construct it in your own words.

  348. Angels, you are ministering spirits, ministering for those that are heirs of salvation.

  349. I am an heir of salvation.

  350. And I dispatch you to go and bring my healing to my body.

  351. Go and bring my finances.

  352. Now, War Roberts, when he was building the city of faith, he needed eight million dollars to finish it.

  353. He wound up in the hospital.

  354. He had rotator cough surgery on both shoulders because he had laid hands on so many people over the years and prayed for almost a million people, I think.

  355. He was laying in the bed and all of a sudden an angel appeared at the foot of his bed.

  356. He said, It, I'll he said, I'll just be honest, it startled me, scared me.

  357. And he said, I said, Who are you?

  358. And what do you what do you want?

  359. He thought maybe he's dying or something.

  360. The angel's fixing to carry him to heaven.

  361. And the angel said, I am your angel.

  362. I'm a ministering spirit, and I am here to get what you need.

  363. He said, But you have not dispatched me.

  364. And Orl was always honest, and he said, What do you mean, dispatched you?

  365. He said, You haven't given me an assignment.

  366. So he's Orl said it didn't take him long.

  367. He said, Well, I dispatch you in the name of Jesus and go and bring the eight million dollars that I need to finish the City of Faith Hospital.

  368. And he said, all of a sudden, he said that angel just went and he was gone.

  369. Now I was there in Brother Hagin's camp meeting the year that Orl Roberts came, and Brother Hagin introduced him and asked the people to give into the City of Faith Hospital.

  370. They raised an offering that night.

  371. But Brother Roberts first said, I want to sow a seed in the Kenneth Hagin ministries.

  372. So he said, I have taken, I've forgotten how much it was, like$100,000 out of every ministry account that I had.

  373. And he said, and I'm planting this seed.

  374. It was like eight accounts.

  375. And if you multiplied it a hundredfold, it amounted to eight million dollars.

  376. So he said, I'm going to plant the seed for the eight million that I need.

  377. I mean, you know, you've got to be realistic.

  378. You can't you can't plant plant fifty cents and expect eight million.

  379. You have to plant according to so he said, I plant all of this in Rhema Bible Training Center, and I'm expecting an eight million dollar harvest.

  380. Well, I was there that night.

  381. One year later, we're there again.

  382. Brother Roberts comes out, Brother Hagin says, Brother Roberts has a testimony.

  383. He said, ladies and gentlemen, he since I was here last year and planted this seed, he said, my ministry has received in one year eight million dollars to finish the project.

  384. And he credited it to he had dispatched his angel.

  385. Because that's what the angel said he was there for.

  386. Now, you know, I know we sometimes look down our noses at people sometimes when they say they talk to angels or an angel showed up.

  387. I know Cheryl Pruitt, who's a good friend of ours here in Cheryl Pruitt, live in Palm Springs, they've ministered here.

  388. And she they were standing with us at our home, and one night we were sitting in the living room, and Cheryl said, There are two angels on either side of your fireplace.

  389. She said, and they are guardian angels and they are watching over you.

  390. Well, we love them and we've known them for a long time, and I just was a little hesitant to jump and shout.

  391. I thought, well, okay, Gerald, if you want to see angels, you just go ahead and see angels, and that's a good sign.

  392. But I don't know that I truly believed what she said at the time.

  393. I do now, but uh we take these things too lightly sometimes because we think it's foolishness or pipe dreaming or imagination or too many slices of pizza or something like that that we've but you better take them seriously.

  394. So, first, you release your faith, you release your words in faith to God.

  395. Secondly, with your faith you release angels.

  396. Next, with your words, you must release God to work on your behalf.

  397. You're gonna rest.

  398. He's gonna work.

  399. I know for people like me that are you've you've you've always you know worked and you always had to work and you always wanted to work and you you achieved some things with your work and so you felt good about what you had achieved, and it's it's hard for you to lay it down and let somebody else do it.

  400. I'd rather do it myself.

  401. But you have to lay it down and you have to rest and trust God and let God work on your behalf.

  402. You believe in somebody in your family to be saved and you hadn't been able to get them saved, then rest and let God work while you're sleeping.

  403. I know it sounds irresponsible, but you rest while God's working.

  404. Now here's what you say.

  405. Number one, it is finished.

  406. I did this.

  407. I was just, I laid down, I went through this, and I said, God, it is finished.

  408. Your work is finished.

  409. Everything I need is finished in Christ.

  410. It's already been done.

  411. Secondly, angels, go now.

  412. Now you can shout it if you want to, but I'd advise you make everybody else, make sure everybody else is asleep and you don't scare them.

  413. Go now, angels, go now.

  414. And you might sound foolish to the natural mind when you say it.

  415. And say, oh, that Pastor Cole.

  416. Well, I used to love to hear him teach faith, but he's gone off the deep end now.

  417. Angels, go now.

  418. And then last, it is done.

  419. It is done.

  420. And that's your confession of your faith.

  421. It is done.

  422. It is done.

  423. It is a done deal.

  424. So, angels hearken to the voice of the word.

  425. With your words, you release your faith.

  426. With your faith, you release angels.

  427. With your rest, you release God.

  428. And you say, It is finished.

  429. Angels go now.

  430. It is done.

  431. And God, I am going to rest while you work.

  432. And you might have to deal with feelings of irresponsibility trying to come on you.

  433. You're just, you know, this is just a cop out.

  434. But uh some time ago, short time ago, I won't go into the details, we had a huge, huge need at VTN.

  435. And uh I was concerned about it.

  436. And um I I had given some instructions to the staff when they were doing a telephone, a partner special, and said, I want you to confess this before you start answering the phones.

  437. I want you to call the money in to VTN to meet its need.

  438. And I said, and don't be moved by what you see or don't see, because we tend to put a deadline on God or, you know.

  439. So they did.

  440. Well, what we needed did not come in in the partner special, but a few weeks later, we received the largest one-time offering that we had ever received in the history of the network.

  441. And it's been on there 38 years.

  442. The largest offering from one individual, the largest offering that we had ever received in 38 years.

  443. And it was just a few days after I had, you know, you know, when you lay down and go to sleep and your your insides are churning and your your head's pinging and you're doubting and all.

  444. You know when you've made contact with God, and all this goes to rest.

  445. You have a physical.

  446. And the doctor says, Well, there's some things here we don't like, and uh let me uh have this test done and this test done, and we'll uh here we may have to do this.

  447. And before you know it, you're getting all worried, anxious over it.

  448. And you go to God and you say, Okay, Lord, and before you can even finish your sentence, he says, I've taken care of that.

  449. I've taken care of that.

  450. And so you go to sleep and you rest.

  451. You don't have any physical evidence yet, but you will help.

  452. You know that God is working while you're resting.

  453. Hallelujah.

  454. Does that help any of y'all if it doesn't make any difference whether it's finances or whether it's healing, family?

  455. You rest.

  456. You rest in God, what He's already done on Calvary for you.

  457. And pretty soon that rest takes over and a calm comes.

  458. And you're sleeping.

  459. Now you might wake up the next morning and no change in anything.

  460. But you don't quit believing, you don't quit resting.

  461. You continue to say, you continue to believe, you can, you continue to uh make your confession.

  462. And don't ever stop trusting God.

  463. He he's the one that is taking care of you.

  464. Hallelujah.

  465. I know I had a situation some time ago where um, you know, Ginny and I have physical every year to the same doctor over the years, and this doctor found a little something he wanted extra, x-ray uh on me.

  466. And he said, Um, I don't like what I see.

  467. I want to get a more detailed, I don't know what they do, what is it, CAT scan or MRI or CAT scan or something like that.

  468. Well, it wasn't any big deal.

  469. But uh I went and had it done.

  470. And he said, Well, I'm gonna send you uh to a specialist in case uh they need to operate or do something.

  471. I said, Okay, so I go.

  472. And the doctor, he does his own um x-ray or whatever, and I'm sitting there waiting for him to come tell me what he recommends.

  473. And he sits there and he looks at me, and he looks at my chart and all that.

  474. He said, Well, he said, I love operating on people.

  475. He said, There's nothing more that I enjoy in my life is than operating on people.

  476. But he said, sir, you don't need a certain you don't need an operation.

  477. You don't he said, come back and see me in a few years, you know.

  478. God took care of it.

  479. Amen.

  480. He always will, but we have to learn to live by faith in what Jesus did on Calvary.

  481. Hallelujah.

  482. Did you get anything out of this tonight?

  483. Thank you, Father.

  484. Thank you for your anointing here tonight.

  485. Thank you, Father.
