Turning Of The Tide Pt.1

I saw a video a couple days ago and it's a video of this guy is training in like

MMA and you have a coach directing him to do something and the coach represents

2024 and and yeah it's the other way around the coaches like 2025 and and it

shows this parallel of 2025 2024 and it's about it's about getting up and do

we have that clip in the back I think some of you have experienced this

just

have you ever felt like that before like come on get it together get your life

together come on it's 2025 get up and you're like I'm trying I'm trying I'm

trying to get up and Lita had a word at the beginning of the year the word is

that the tide has turned that the tide has turned so we're gonna be in a series

called the turning of the tide and this is this is a spirit this can sound

spiritual but what it means is divine reversal it means divine reversal it

means that there's a shift in your struggle there's a shift in your

struggle that the things that you've been struggling with maybe there's been

times when life would beat you up like that you're like him and God's like get

you know get up but a time when the tide has turned is when you have a grace to

do what God's called you to do and I believe we're entering that season I

want to read out of Luke 8 40 through 56 this is 16 chapters so if you didn't get

your Bible reading in today you're gonna get it in right now we can put it on the

screen we're gonna read out of the passion translation are y'all hungry for

the Word of God awesome me too Luke 8 40 50 through 56 and when Jesus returned to

Galilee the crowds were overjoyed for they had been waiting on him to arrive

just then a man named Jairus the leader of a local Jewish congregation fell

before Jesus's feet I want you to under underline that fell before Jesus's feet

he desperately begged to him to come and heal his 12 year old daughter his 12

year old daughter his only child because she was at the point of death as Jesus

started to go with him to his home to see her a large crowd surrounded him in

the crowd that day was a woman who suffered greatly for 12 years from slow

bleeding how many of you know that's a long time to suffer something some of

you might be suffering something for 12 years something that's been going on for

a long time it could be an addiction it could be a thought process it could be

heartache it could be anything 12 years she was going through this even though

she had spent all that she had on healers or doctors she was still

suffering pressing through the crowd she came behind Jesus and touched the fringe

of his garment the thing that's really interesting about this the fringe of the

garment is on the bottom of Jesus's garment and the garment the fringe

actually represented the covenant of God and she said if I can just touch Jesus

the fringe of his garment and so instantly when she did that bleeding

stopped and she was healed Jesus suddenly stopped and said to his

disciples someone touched me who was it while they all denied it Peter pointed

out master everyone is touching you trying to get close to you the crowds

are so thick we can't even walk through the people without being jostled and

Jesus replied yes but I felt power surge through me I love this because many

people are touching Jesus but one touched him many people are around Jesus

but one really touched him I felt power surge through me someone touched me to

be healed and they received their healing when the woman realized she

couldn't hide any longer why would she hide because not only did she have a

problem with the bleeding in the culture in that day if you had that condition

you were considered ceremonially unclean and you were actually an outcast of

society so just the fact that she had enough boldness to come into a crowd

much alone say and admit that I touched Jesus's garment was a very bold act so

when the woman realized that she couldn't hide any longer she came and

fell trembling at Jesus's feet before the entire crowd she declared I was

desperately I was desperate to touch you I was desperate to touch you how many of

you are desperate to touch him I think desperation has a unique value of

drawing from God Jesus for I knew if I could just even touch the fringe of his

garment I would be healed and Jesus responded beloved daughter your faith in

me release your healing I'm gonna say that again your faith in me release your

healing you may go with my peace and while Jesus was still speaking to the

woman someone came from Jairus his house and told him there was no need for the

master to come any further and gave Jesus the news that the daughter was

dead now I'm gonna give a Evan translation right here so you don't you

know go off into ADD land Jesus says Jesus says she's not dead she's just

sleeping I'm coming to your house he goes to the house he brings Peter James

and John in this translation Jacob which is a surname and brings them to the

house and Jesus goes in and says she's just sleeping the family laughs he says

get the family out because how many of you know that if God's gonna move he

wants faith in he gets the family out and he says get up be healed stand up

the woman the lady the girl 12 years old she's healed and she gets something to

eat and there's these two huge miracles I'm not sure why I'm not totally sure

why the Bible says there's a 12 year old girl and this woman this other woman was

bleeding for 12 years there are many people that preach on this I don't know

why but I do know this that there are things that you've had for a long time

that are yours that can seem like are drowning or dying and God wants to do a

miracle there are also things in your life that seem like has been going on

forever and we're believing that this is a season that the tide has turned the

tide has turned how many of you want to come into faith that the tide has turned

the tide has turned the other morning early in the morning I had this word

because I was thinking of a prayer that I really I was praying to God and I

really wanted God to do something and and the Holy Spirit spoke this to me and

I believe that this is for this house this body sometimes he'll he'll he'll

download something to me for you sometimes he'll download something for

me just for me but I believe that this download for me is for you look at your

name and say it's for you so I was praying this prayer and this is the word

that I heard your breakthrough is on the other side of your consecration your

breakthrough is on the other side of your consecration see God God blesses us

sometimes out of the blue because he's just a good God but there are some

blessings that are hidden in your consecration now I'm gonna explain what

consecration is it sounds like a spiritual world but word but we will get

down to what that that means I believe consecration see consecration I'm gonna

explain this this sounds spiritual we're not trying to sound spiritual we're

gonna break this down but consecration produces sanctification for your

breakthrough so consecration this is what consecration is I'm gonna explain

consecration is the grace that God gives us to give ourselves to God it's the

grace that God gives you to give yourself to God grace comes from

humility this woman was broken for 12 years she was desperate it is possible

that when we have allowed ourselves ourselves for a certain there is a

certain level of consecration that comes when we have a certain level of

brokenness there is a certain level of so consecration is you setting yourself

apart for God it is you saying I'm giving myself to God now consecration

produces your consecration your separation God will begin to do a work

in you and this work and I'm gonna explain this in a little bit this work

is called sanctification say sanctification see God's work of setting

us apart is his work consecration is our work but it takes a grace it takes a

grace to do see anointing comes from the work of the Holy Spirit so when we set

ourselves apart now listen there are times God is just gonna bless you there

are times when God's just gonna be good for you but there are certain blessings

that come from you having the grace to consecrate yourself and set yourself

apart for God Joshua 3 5 now to give you a little context of this Joshua there

was Moses that brought the Israelites out of Egypt into the wilderness it was

millions of people but the people in the wilderness did not believe in God they

did not trust God they murmured and complained so God didn't let a whole

generation go into the promised land which they were promised to go into but

did allow the generation of Joshua and Caleb Joshua and Caleb was ones that

stood on God's promises and this is what God tells Joshua to do before he enters

the promised land this is what I believe God is telling us to do before we enter

the changing of the tide this is what I believe God is asking us to do before we

see some of the breakthroughs now there are sometimes in our life that God will

say stand still and watch God move so I'm not suggesting that every time God

moves is because you did something but I am suggesting there is a prompting there

is a grace from the Holy Spirit to say I want you to separate yourself to God for

a season so that he can do the work and so that you can go into the promised

land now this is what he tells Joshua he says then Joshua said to the people

consecrate yourself for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you set

yourself apart and get your heart ready for God to do the miracle how many of

you want to have a certain heart posture for God to do the miracle now something

that we see that is parallel in this story in Luke is that Jairus is is

seeking after God and bringing Jesus to his home he is on his knees you see on

the outside what's going on on the inside there's a heart posture of

humility I'm desperate for you God I'm desperate for you to touch me I'm

desperate for you to come in my home you also see it and the lady with the issue

of blood she's on her knees how do I know she's on her knees going to

against the crowd because she touches the fringe of Jesus's garment so she's

getting down low she has a posture and a desperation for God sometimes when you

don't have a desperation that's when you need to fast when you feel flat-lined

when you don't feel a spiritual jolt you don't have any motivation that's when a

fast is necessary not when you feel like it and so God what God I believe he

wants us to do we're coming into a season where God is turning the tide

he's turning the tide but it's up to you to get into that flow have you ever been

a whitewater rafting before I went whitewater rafting in blackwater it was

horrible it was in Columbia and and I thought you know a prerequisite to go

whitewater rafting is knowing how to swim but half the people when they did

not know how to swim they thought they were gonna lose their life that day but

there are there are certain times there are certain forks in the road when you're

going whitewater rafting and you have to position yourself to go to the right

route it's not just gonna send you there you can either go this way and you're in

trouble because there's a waterfall that way or you can go this way in the right

direction what I believe God is wanting us to do so that the tide is turning is

to begin to position our hearts in a way so that you can discover and experience

the miracle that he has for you so Mark Patterson says this he's a pastor in

Washington DC says if we do our job God will do his job if we consecrate

ourselves to God amazing things will happen it's inevitable

consecration always ends with amazing I want you to write that down

consecration always ends with amazing now I'm gonna I'm gonna tell you about

consecration with a good heart because I also know a religious heart that tries

to separate itself with God and but it's in a religious heart posture we're not

talking about this we're talking about a heart posture that's going after Jesus

write this down consecration is yielding to God so that he does the work for us

it is you it is yielding our will to his will how many of you know his will is

better his will is better consecration is complete surrender to the Lordship of

Jesus some of that that makes you nervous but I'm here to tell you that

he's never gonna ask something from you when he doesn't have something better

for you he's never gonna ask something from you when he doesn't have something

better for you he's a good father Dwight L Moody a revivalist in the 1800s also

an evangelist he said the world has yet to see what God can will do with and for

and through and in and by the man who is fully and wholly consecrated to him

the world has not yet seen now I actually looked up this word because

this word can be confusing when you're reading the Bible the Old Testament is

in Hebrew the New Testament is in Greek Jesus's day he spoke Aramaic but you

look up Greek words in the New Testament now in the New Testament alone

consecration and sanctification means is interchangeable but there are different

meanings and it's it's it's important that we know this as a matter of fact I

looked up the word sanctification and there's 25 different meanings of

sanctification you can separate them by consecration and sanctification now

again consecration is you setting yourself apart for God sanctification is

God God setting you apart for him consecration is you setting yourself

apart for God sanctification is God setting you apart for him right now let

me talk about the words of consecration I looked up 25 these are just some now if

you're looking to see what the Greek is in the New Testament it's written by

numbers and in his Greek words but they're all verbs consecration is all

verbs it's a you have consecration which means to go you have a consecration

that's a verb that this like consecration or set apart or consecrating

a gift or consecrating a tie a prayer is can be consecrated there's also the

altar they can be consecrated set apart circumcision of the heart is cut is

constant it's setting yourself apart is to consecrate it's a consecrate now this

is interesting because these are all verbs and sanctification sanctification

and consecration goes interchangeable but sanctification the word for

sanctification is haggis most is the only noun that you see in all of the

words of consecration or sanctification and this word is something that only God

can do so it's not a verb it's not something you do this word consecrate or

sanctification actually means that he sets you apart once and for all now he's

doing the work for you to see it Hebrews 10 10 says this for God's will was for

us to be made holy by the sacrifice of Jesus's body once and for all time this

is the thing when you give your life to God you are fully sanctified but it

takes consecration for you to even see it God has done the full work you are

perfected in Christ but he has to it takes our consecration and he begins to

sanctify you and set you apart and show you his will so you can step into the

promises God has for you does that make sense

Hebrews 13 12 and Jesus our sin sacrifice off also suffered death outside of the

city to make us holy by his blood now there's also a sanctification that God

does that is the finished work or the perfect work of Jesus there's also a

sanctification that God does is to anoint you what it meant to anoint

somebody was they would get a some oil they would pour it over the the head of

a king in the Old Testament or a priest and what that meant was that now that

person is set apart for a special work of the ministry did you know when you

give your life to Jesus that the Holy Spirit anoints each of us to do special

work of the ministry that's why Jesus said the Spirit of the Lord is upon me

because he's anointed me to preach the good news and you have that anointing

the Bible says that when he ascended into heaven after his death he set us

all apart for a special work of the ministry is that good news that God has

a special work for you and he has anointed all of us now I want to get

back to this this thing of consecration because there can be attention here

there can be attention here so are you saying that God will only sanctify me if

I consecrate myself are you saying that the only way that I can be set apart is

if I consecrate myself now I want to read this scripture to you are you okay

today we're setting a foundation for this series Philippians 2 12 says this

therefore my beloved as you have always obeyed not just in my presence only but

now much more in my absence listen to this this this kind of this kind of this

makes me think work out your own salvation with fear and trembling for it

is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure work it out

it's consecration work it out as consecration salvation is the process

that God does in us but he says to work it out look at your neighbor and say to

work it out now this is the problem this is the problem see see fear and

trembling this word actually means to honor and to reverence this is not to be

scared of God it says to work out your salvation with fear of trembling what is

he talking about what is he talking about Proverbs Proverbs 9 10 says that

the fear of the Lord or the honor of God is the beginning of wisdom now some of

you right now this is the problem many of you are thinking works right now

you're right I need to work I'm gonna fast I'm gonna fast 40 days like Jesus

right now you're thinking what can I do to consecrate myself and this is the

thing this is the thing calm down that's the thing calm down because there is a

flip side to this there is a flip side to this Ephesians 2 8 through 9 for by

grace you have been saved through faith nothing you did could ever earn

salvation for it was the love gift that God brought to us in Christ so no one

will ever be able to boast for salvation is never a reward for good works of

human striving so your salvation you are not working for salvation God gave you

that as a gift but you need to consecrate yourself to see the truth of

that salvation he's finishing the work that he started in you but it does take

a grace for you to separate yourself to be able to get with God and to see the

work that he's done he's already done the work now he wants you to be a part

of the process of seeing the work that's already done in you so Galatians 3 1

says because people get off in this Paul said this to the Galatians he said hey

you started out where salvation was only thing that you could have but who

bewitched you who who put a spell on you that now you believe that now it's all

of your good works for you to get what God has for you to get so there is a

balance here there is a balance in that that God has given you a free gift and

God does ask you to set yourself apart but God does not want you to do it in a

religious spirit God does not want you to do it as a religious duty Romans 8

15 says this and you did not receive the spirit of religious duty leading you

back into the fear of never being good enough you ever been there never being

good enough but you have received the spirit of full acceptance and folding

you into the family of God and you will never feel orphaned for as he rises up

within us our spirits join with him saying this words of tender affection

beloved father for the Holy Spirit makes his fatherhood real in us and whispers

in our innermost being you are beloved child how many of you love that God

speaks to us so here's the secret here's the secret because I have seen people

man they're gonna be radical you know what they're gonna do I'm waking up at

three o'clock in the morning every single morning in the woods I'm gonna

see it search God I'm not gonna eat anything and I'm just gonna because I

want God more than you I am gonna begin to separate myself more than all of you

and I am so spiritual and holy and that's why God is gonna bless me so much

and at the end of it they burn out and usually cheat on their wives you're

like what did that where did that come from I've seen it I've seen it people

try to overcompensate and do things in their own strength and then they have no

grace people overcompensate and try to do things in their own strength and they

have no grace because when you're focused on your own works and what you

can do God says I resist the problem but give grace to the humble the truth is

I'm kind of nervous about this 21 day fast because I know me three days in I'm

gonna want some sweets three days in my stomach is gonna be growling and I am

gonna want something good you know what I mean something good you know it's not

a fast if you eat pizza you know what I'm saying you're like I'm just doing

like breads and like sauce and like that's not a fast after a fast you gave

40 pounds that's not a fast right I know myself I'm saying God what do you want

from me what we want to do is like you know what I'm gonna go after God I'm

gonna be like that woman I'm gonna I'm gonna touch I'm gonna be the one I am

gonna you know what right now right now I could do it four o'clock in the morning

I'm just gonna get up early you know what I'm reading the whole Bible in two

months that's what I'm gonna do all y'all are reading like a devotional

little baby Christians I'm gonna read the Bible in two months and so you go

after that's fine at all if God tells you to do it but don't do a bunch of

things just because you've decided to do it you're not gonna have a grace to do

it and what happens I've seen it and you said that thing earlier is out of the

blue I've seen people begin to just try to do radical things to get the

acceptance of God and when God actually blesses them they think it's them that

does it and when they think it's them that does it then they begin to put down

on other people and they have entered into a religious realm that has now

you're entitled and you're better than everybody and that is not the spirit of

Jesus that was the spirit of Pharisees the spirit of Pharisees knew how to

consecrate themselves they knew how to tithe off the smallest little thing but

they did not have the right spirit and they came into a spirit of judgment and

pride and begin to belittle people and they thought they were entitled and God

says I'm resisting the proud and giving grace to the humble so this is not how

much can we do and we're just gonna get it together this is I need to get away

with God God what do you want from me because I can only do what you're

giving me a grace to do and you might ask something of me that seems hard and

I don't know if I can do it and God I need you to give me grace to do it you

know what it's like when you start a fast when you start a fast that's when

King K comes out you know to me as soon as you say I started fast that's when

people offer you food for free I don't know why that is but that's how it

happens canes for free see God does not reward us with salvation through human

striving but he does reward us with with revelation by human seeking or humbly

sinking how does God reward us he is a rewarding God Hebrews 11 6 says this and

it is impossible impossible impossible help me out impossible to please God

without faith anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and

that he rewards say rewards he rewards those who sincerely seek him the reward

is not for approval we already have that the reward is for his appearance in your

life we already have his his his acceptance God is a rewarder do you

believe that there are rewards when our consecration produces something in

others did you know that your consecration your setting apart for God

can actually produce sanctification in others see this is the problem we cannot

give what we do not have we're gonna heal we're gonna heal a city yeah but

you're broken we're gonna we're gonna bring break for it yeah but you don't

believe God wants to do in us first so that he can do things in your family and

in your city because when I change everything changes this is what Jesus

said in John 17 19 Jesus said this and for their sakes I sanctify myself so

that they could be sanctified by truth what did Jesus say I'm separating myself

so that they can be sanctified this this kind of boggles my mind because Jesus

said this before he said this he is on the Mount of Transfiguration he comes

down and God is like you know God is showing up in a spiritual way Peters up

there saying a bunch of gibberish because he's nervous and while this is

going on God consecrating himself down below there is this son and the father

and the son has this he's possessed and he's throwing himself in the water and

in fire and I think it's interesting because they're arguing with the

Pharisees and Jesus comes down and he he says he says for this demonic force to

go and it leaves him and the disciples are like hey we're trying to do this

thing how come it's not working for us and this is what Jesus says Matthew 17

21 he says however this kind of demon or this kind of breakthrough does not go

out except by prayer and fasting so there is a level of your consecration

that brings sanctification or a change or set apartness for you and for other

people is it that awesome how is the city going to be changed for us just to

pray but it's not in us no God wants to change you and when I change everything

changes you're like God change my husband you might need to change I didn't

say that to you but I wasn't I wasn't like that's not that's not that's all

the other all right I meant to say the other way around I don't know let's move

forward Luke 11 20 through 22 I've been on a good streak I don't want to mess it

up Luke 11 20 through 22 listen what Jesus said because there are people that

were they were they were complaining with Jesus and saying hey the only reason

you can cast out demons because you have one was telling Jesus that and this is

Jesus's response he says but if I'm casting out demons by God's mighty power

God's kingdom is now released on you but if you but you still reject it now

listen to this this he's telling us about a spiritual world when a strong

man with many weapons guard his palace his possessions are safe but when one

stronger than he comes and attacks and overpowers him the stronger one will

empty the arsenal in which he was trusted the conqueror will ransack his

kingdom and distribute all the spoils of victory now listen to this this is what

he's saying he's saying when you come into a place of light you come into a

place of faith of sanctification of setting apart and freedom your light will

actually cause the darkness to leave other people your light will cause

darkness to leave other people now listen to what he says he says this is

what it's like he says the one that is trapped with with demon and darkness and

you can call it whatever you want to call it but I've seen I've seen I've

seen addictions and everything under the Sun and I can tell you that there's

influence there and he says what happens is there is a it's this force around

them that it's like an army and and they have all their arsenal and they're

protecting and they're not wanting they're wanting to keep this person in

bondage and he says but the believer the believer that is stronger than the

enemy he comes with a stronger arsenal overcomes the enemy and plunders the

enemy not only that but their spoils for everybody that was in on the deliverance

for them to get blessed with this is what I'm telling you when you separate

yourself when you begin to sanctify yourself there are blessings that are

stored up for you and somebody else's deliverance there are blessings stored

up for you and somebody else's deliverance when when we are working as

one and people get set free in this house in this city it is not just one

person but God distributes the spoils we begin to get influence we begin to

God begins to promote us he begins to bless us because he says first of all

you're stronger than the enemy and second of a second of all when he begins

to get defeated you get blessed Jesus says sanctify me so that they could be

sanctified I'm saying in this season not only is God gonna do a work in you but

the work that God does in you he's gonna begin to do in the work of people around

you like Jairus said come to my house come to my house I believe that the God

the work that God is doing in you is gonna be doing the work God's gonna

begin to do a work in your family in your neighbors and it's not some like

spooky no it's gonna be God is gonna lead you and you're gonna love people

and you're gonna see them set free how many of you believe that in this season

and so this is the heart of prayer and fasting Reese if you can come up and

play and then we're gonna have the whole band come up in a second this is the

heart of prayer and fasting Hebrews 12 1 through 2 therefore when you see the

word therefore see what it's there for

about ten of y'all got that therefore since we are surrounded by such a huge

crowd of witnesses first of all is that awesome that right now the Bible says in

heaven there are believers that passed on but they're in a crowd like the

Superdome times a thousand and they're all looking down cheering us on because

we have the baton and it's time for us to run and there's a there's a in the

heavens there is a crowd of witnesses that says come on Teresa let's go

there's a crowd of witnesses that say come on Jack it's your turn there's a

crowd of witnesses that's cheering us on and this is what the Bible says he

says therefore since we're surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the

life of faith let us strip off every weight say wait that slows us down

especially the sin you know that sin you know that sin that's in that trips you

up might not trip up anybody else but you know that thing that trips you up

y'all are looking at me like you don't know you know you know that thing that

trips you up he says especially the sin that so easily trips you up and let us

run with endurance the race that God set up before us we do this by keeping our

eyes on Jesus the champion who initiates and perfects our faith now the previous

chapter in this is all these people that consecrate themselves and God does great

exploits in them because God sets them apart and they're working and they're

operating in in faith they're not working in their own works they're

operating in the grace that God gives them and in faith and the Bible says hey

now it's your turn now he says if you want to do this we're running a race if

you want to have endurance you're gonna have to strip down some extra weight

you've never seen an Olympic runner run with a big jacket on why because they're

running a race they need endurance and so this is what he's telling us if we

want to run this race if we want to see a turning of the tide this is the thing

there are times when God will ask you to put aside not even necessarily bad

things but things that are distractions things that we can give up to put our

focus on him I'm not saying social media is bad but if God is telling you to give

that to him don't just give it to him that every time you have that urge to go

on social media some of you have a tick I mean it's like you go you go 15 minutes

without on Instagram you start like going in like convulsions right you like

you start you start it's obvious you start going through withdrawals right

have you ever had your phone in the pot your pocket and you thought it buzzed or

a text and it was nothing it's like we're conditioned we're always conditioned

and and this is not a bad thing I'm giving you example is God asking you to

put aside some things so that you can focus on him is God asking you to put

some weights maybe there's time there's time where you're just zoning out in TV

that's you know I'm not saying watching TV is bad but is God telling you I want

you to put that time aside and I want you to focus on me for this next 21 days

what fasting is is starving the flesh and focusing on Jesus that's what fasting

is so certain foods entertainment habits sweets alcohol any kind of substance

that's a go-to God saying will you give me that in focus on me and see what I

give you yeah give God a hand if you want to

see God doesn't just want you to give it up he wants you to replace it with him

if you just stop eating stuff that's just a diet that's not a fast a fast is

saying I give you this and when I have that urge to do that I'm praying instead

right so if I give you a lunch if I say I'm gonna fast lunch I'm not just fasting

lunch I'm are not eating lunch I'm going to God in that time that it took me to

eat lunch I say God I'm gonna focus on you I'm gonna think on you and so this

is prayer and this is the word in the next several weeks we're gonna be going

over the four seas of consecration and this is the thing that God will start to

do this is the first one we're gonna close but God will start to convict you

in this season God will start to convict you in love Romans 12 to don't copy the

behaviors of this world but let God transform you how many of you know that

God needs to transform us into a new person by changing the way that you

think you will learn to know God's will how many of you want to know God's will

you will learn to know God's will which is good and pleasing to you see because

conviction gives you an opportunity to repent how many of you love the word

repent nobody raised their hands I love repentance well it's because we have a

certain thought process of repentance the word repentance comes from the word

metanoia say meta noia so meta means to change noia means your mind that's the

Greek what is repentance it's changing the way that you think it's not just

saying you're sorry what God will do in this season he'll begin to convict you

the scientists say that when people read their Bible and pray two days out of the

week they don't see much change third time out of the week they see a little

change four times out of the week this is what scientists say that four times

out of the week that feeling lonely drops 30% anger issue drops 32% bitterness

in relationship drops 40% alcoholism drops 57% sex outside of marriage drops

68% feeling spiritually stagnant drops 60% viewing pornography drops 61%

sharing your faith jumps to 200% discipling others jumps to 230% there is

something about renewing your minds there's something about changing the way

that you're think it is not just staying away from things it's saying I'm gonna

replace that thing with renewing my mind God told Joshua before he went to the

promised land he said meditate on my word day and night think about it day and

night and then you will see success and prosperity that word meditate means to

chew on God's word like a cow chews on curd it's kind of weird but a cow will

eat some curd put it in its stomach regurgitate that thing and keep chewing

it that's what the Bible is telling us to do I don't want you just taking this

word I want you to meditate on it I want you to let it change the way that you

think and then that's when you see your transformation that transformation

means metamorphosis it is like a worm that becomes a butterfly how by renewing

your mind look at your neighbor and said you got to renew your mind now I want to

encourage you in this season in this season let's start to encourage

ourselves you know if you want to start running go buy some running shoes right

go get go get some new sneakers or something motivate yourself this is what

I want to encourage you in this season start a new plan start a new plan start

a Bible plan there are tons of Bible plans because I want to give you I want

to give you these four things that we're gonna do in the next 21 days and it's

our devotion with God every single day and the acronym is soap can you say soap

soap does what it cleanses you how many of you want to cleanse mine so every

single day we're gonna do these four things the first thing is scripture

reading scripture this is when we're looking for Jesus we're looking for

Jesus in the scripture I want to encourage you to begin to read the

Gospels read if you've never done this before start in the book of John and

begin to read the Word of God and it will begin to transform your life begin

to read look for Jesus look for Jesus listen the Bible says that faith comes

by hearing and hearing the the good news or hearing the gospel I'm all for the

one Bible the one-year Bible if you have a little bit of Old Testament a little

bit of New Testament and all that but I do not recommend just going through

chronological order you're gonna go in Leviticus and you're gonna be sad

you're like I'm getting nothing it's cuz you're reading Leviticus and you just

got saved I'm just gonna read Revelation stop it stop it just have a good

balance and anytime you read the Old Testament you're seeing it through the

eyes of Jesus we're gonna get to that later oh s is scripture I'm looking for

thoughts down if you don't understand it ask God questions say this is

and show people that I'm reading my Bible I'm gonna observe and I'm gonna

say this God what do you want from me what is in you what do you want in me

journal it ask him questions the next one is what acronym three people are

you want me to do to look more like you the Bible says when you hear the word

and you put it into practice it's like building your foundation on a rock the

wind come and you're standing firm but those that hear the word and you don't

act on the word it's like building your house on the sand when the winds come

Spirit is gonna begin to put on your heart this is what I want you to do I

want you to give up this and I want you to look to me and this is what I want

let God tell you you hear from God you're like no I don't yes you do those

thoughts that come that line up to God's word you're hearing from God how many of

you want to say today I want to be like the woman with the issue of blood that

goes beyond the crowd and I'm going after Jesus and I know that he is a

rewarder of those that diligently seek him that he's gonna touch my life he's

gonna touch other people's lives in 2025 come on let's all stand up today I want

to pray for you today if you're here and you don't have a relationship with God I

and all things become new and the Bible says that the heavens are rejoicing
