[SPEAKER_00]: Today we're going to look at Ephesians chapter six and study God's provision for us in the full armor of God that makes us able to stand and withstand regardless of what we face.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's study God's Word together.

[SPEAKER_00]: The altar is open all service.

[SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians six.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to reverse 10 through verse 18.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let me interrupt you at all till you get status as long as you want to.

[SPEAKER_01]: First 10 through 18, but I'm going to skip around some 10 and any 11, 13 and 14 and verse 18.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can find these notes in the Bible app.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm reading from the new King James version.

[SPEAKER_01]: The word of the Lord says, finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

[SPEAKER_01]: Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the walls of the devil.

[SPEAKER_01]: Verse 13, therefore, take up the whole armor of God,

[SPEAKER_01]: that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand.

[SPEAKER_01]: Stand there for, having girded your waistward true, having put on the breastplate of righteousness.

[SPEAKER_01]: Verse 18, let's read this verse together.

[SPEAKER_01]: count of three one two three praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

[SPEAKER_01]: Turn to your name is A neighbor.

[SPEAKER_01]: I am standing

[SPEAKER_01]: In the need, you made me seated and the presence of the living God.

[SPEAKER_00]: I am standing, in the need of prayer, I am standing, in the need of prayer.

[SPEAKER_01]: Life experiences can overwhelm us, can't they?

[SPEAKER_01]: At a moment's notice, and sometimes without notice, you can experience something that flips your world upside down.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can think or thought you had it all figured out until some factor is added to complicate matters, beyond your capacity to handle.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's in those moments where our souls get shaky,

[SPEAKER_01]: Our faith is unsure, and we feel like the victory we had hoped for will elude us forever.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now there are times where we go through something, and our immediate emotive response may not tell the truth of what we're facing.

[SPEAKER_01]: For example, you're saying a full-grown person.

[SPEAKER_01]: get in the pool and all of a sudden start to freak out as if they can't survive the water until somebody taps them on the shoulder and says, stand up and you stand and realize,

[SPEAKER_01]: there's more confidence and ability in me than the circumstance around me.

[SPEAKER_01]: But then there are times where you get out into the deep, beyond what a pool can contain, where there are currents and waves that you cannot control and you get to a place where your feet can't touch the bottom.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you can no longer stand for yourself and you wave back to shore hoping that there's a lifeguard perched on a high chair to see you in danger and your hope that is is that that lifeguard will stand for you.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's life as a believer.

[SPEAKER_01]: There are times where we're in situations where we just get overwhelmed and emotionally we react in a moment where all we need to do is stand up.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then there are some times when we get into deep way in over our head, circumstances out of our control, waves crashing this way, currents pulling that way, and all we can do is wave to our Savior on his high sea in glory, and hope that He would stand for us in the end.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's a reality of being a believer, sometimes we stand for the Lord, and sometimes the Lord stands for us.

[SPEAKER_01]: But if we stand for the Lord, when we can, the Lord will stand for us when we cannot.

[SPEAKER_01]: I am 39 years old and I try my best not to live with regrets.

[SPEAKER_01]: The truth is I'm old enough to have made some decisions that if I could have it to do again, I would have made different decisions.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I look back in my life, sometimes fighting off regret, trying and stay at to pull wisdom from yesterday year into today that emboldens me for what God has for me tomorrow.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm reminded that life is best learned in the rear view, but lived facing forward.

[SPEAKER_01]: But if I ever look back and wish I could have done something differently, usually, I look back and wish that I would have stood up in a situation that I did not.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then if I had taken a stand, how would things have turned out?

[SPEAKER_01]: If I had stood up for somebody else, how would their circumstance practically had resolved?

[SPEAKER_01]: If I had stood up to be the leader and the man got it called me to be, what would have been the outcome?

[SPEAKER_01]: But instead of facing regret or forcing off regret, I try to take lessons from past experiences to make a determination today that went to Marrow Cones.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the first time it came around, I didn't know that it was for me to stand up.

[SPEAKER_01]: But the next time it comes, I'm making a commitment today that the lower let's me see the moral.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a stand for the lower.

[SPEAKER_01]: You see, Ephesians 6 is a reminder to the believer that we are in the midst of spiritual warfare and in so doing, we're gonna have to make a stand.

[SPEAKER_01]: What that means is, in war, you got different battles.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some battles you lose, some battles you win.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we can look back on the battles of the past that we lost, but the goal is to learn from those losses.

[SPEAKER_01]: So that we can gain the confidence today to stand as more battles persist.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't know if you owed it to me, or young it to me, but the old folks were right when they said, just keep on living.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the more you live, the more you learn, there's gonna be battles after battles, after battles.

[SPEAKER_01]: So instead of being upset with yourself of how you didn't stand up, learn and today make a decision that in the future, I'm gonna make a stand.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now I know I'm not preaching to a room for the people who don't know what it's like to have to make a stand.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to people who've had to stand under some pressure that you wouldn't have wished on your worst enemy.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to some people right now who needs a so wobbly that you can't understand how you still stand in right now.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to some men in this house who know what it means for your skin color to be used to get you to hold you back.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to some women in this house who know what it means for your skin color and your gender to be used to hold you back.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to some people who got saved and became a new creature.

[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody you used to love started treating you like you thought you was brand new.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking to some people who've had to make a stand against your own flesh.

[SPEAKER_01]: When you realize that your own worst enemy was the person looking back at you in the mirror, you've had to take a stand, look yourself in your eye, in the mirror, and review yourself in Jesus' name because you want it more for your future than what you had in your past.

[SPEAKER_01]: See, taking a stand is not something I or people don't know nothing about.

[SPEAKER_01]: sometimes it just take a little pressure and a little darkness to remind you that standing up is already in you.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's in you naturally, and it's in you supernaturally.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's in you genetically, and it's in you spiritually.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not in us to follow.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's in us to stand.

[SPEAKER_01]: And as we stand, we stand in faith knowing that if I stand for the Lord today, the Lord is going to stand for me tomorrow.

[SPEAKER_01]: There are a few things in Ephesians 6, I'm going to lay at your feet and then we're going to spend some time in prayer.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want to encourage us through these prepositions that we will stand for the Lord, but we'll stand with the Lord, then we stand in the Lord, then we stand by the Lord, then we stand for the Lord, then we stand before the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: What you're talking about, let me say it backwards.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand before the Lord and prayer that the church say prayer.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand for the Lord and faithfulness that the church say faithful.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand in the Lord to be in power that the church say power.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand by the Lord, excuse me, that's power in the Lord's salvation.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let the church say salvation.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then we stand with the Lord, that's repentance that the church say repentance.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the first thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, I will stand with the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: See, when you learn from the past and you make a confident declaration today of how you gon' stand tomorrow, you gotta say with belief, I'm a stand with the lower.

[SPEAKER_01]: What that means is the next time a battle arises in my life, and I realize I'm in a fight for real, I'm gonna make sure I'm fighting on the winning team.

[SPEAKER_01]: because he is sometimes in the past while he was fighting for the other side.

[SPEAKER_01]: The people that Paul is right into knows what it's like to have fought for the wrong side and then made a change to fight for the right side.

[SPEAKER_01]: When he addresses them in Ephesians chapter 1, verse number 1, he addresses them as saints of God.

Ephesians 1 · chapter mention

[SPEAKER_01]: That means holy, folk who have been set aside.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you think when you hear the word sanctified, but chances are it's not what the word really means.

[SPEAKER_01]: science means to be holy, to be separate, to be chosen by God, to be a person that belongs to the Lord in a special, consecrated way, with the people he's calling science today, yesterday didn't use to be science.

[SPEAKER_01]: As a matter of fact, they were in the middle of spiritual warfare and they were fighting on the wrong side.

[SPEAKER_01]: Paul knows these people.

[SPEAKER_01]: He has spent three years pulling into them, and now he's writing a letter back to the folk that he used to be around as their spiritual leader.

[SPEAKER_01]: And Acts 19 tells us the stories of all the spiritual warfare that was going on in Ephesus while Paul was with him.

[SPEAKER_01]: One of the stories in Acts 19 verse 13 through 17 is about these seven brothers.

Acts 19:13–17

[SPEAKER_01]: We know that their father's name is Skiva.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's a Jewish priest.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he's seven brothers then realized that they were in the middle of spiritual warfare and today were looking in the eyes of a demon possessed man.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us know what I'm talking about.

[SPEAKER_01]: That you don't look somebody in AI and the darkness you saw was a darkness like you never seen before.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you probably didn't realize that this was more spiritual than natural until they start opening their mouth to talk.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the darkness that you saw in AI started to come out in their words.

[SPEAKER_01]: This man, full of demons, is looking at these seven brothers and these seven brothers not knowing that they're in above their weight class, they say, we cast you out demon in the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches.

[SPEAKER_01]: Guess what the demons said back?

[SPEAKER_01]: The demons said, Jesus, I know.

[SPEAKER_01]: All play with him, he's not to be fooled with.

[SPEAKER_01]: And Paul, I know, too.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's fighting on the right side.

[SPEAKER_01]: But who are you?

[SPEAKER_01]: And the demon possessed man proceeds to jump on these seven brothers, beat them all up, assault all of them, and they leave out, have neck it from being embarrassed, because they stepped up the spiritual warfare without their own faith.

[SPEAKER_01]: come here, you too old to be relying on the faith of who your pastor preach about.

[SPEAKER_01]: You don't been through too much to be relying on your mama faith and your daddy faith.

[SPEAKER_01]: How much hell you got on faith before you realize your faith got on the be your own.

[SPEAKER_01]: If your faith is going to see you through, how much darkness you got to see before you realize if the light ain't in you?

[SPEAKER_01]: Do you ain't got the light at all?

[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anybody who can testify?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grateful for my pastor.

[SPEAKER_01]: I thank God for my Sunday school teacher.

[SPEAKER_01]: You've got praise for Mama, Dad, and Grandma, Granddad, and him, but the or faith ain't enough for me because you ain't walking the day in my shoes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anybody who's ready by faith to take hold of your own relationship with God?

[SPEAKER_01]: I know the Lord for yourself.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can step up to your darkness tomorrow

[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't Jesus, I just work for her.

[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta know the Lord for y'all's.

[SPEAKER_01]: They're excellent, night-tain moves on and there's this story of this false deity, her name is Artemis.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the people who worship her are starting to get upset because Jesus' name is gaining fame and Artemis is losing stain.

[SPEAKER_01]: They pretend like it's a spiritual conversation, but they really use spiritual words to hide financial greed.

[SPEAKER_01]: They're not mad that Artemis is not being worshiped no more.

[SPEAKER_01]: They really mad because they got a little gift shop outside of Artemis's temple and they build these little silver statues that look like her.

[SPEAKER_01]: And when people leave worship of this false goddess who cannot help them, they go by false idols that cannot help them.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the people don't care that they are taking their money and giving them back something that cannot help.

[SPEAKER_01]: So when Jesus' names start gaining fame, people start getting set free and no longer do they call on Artemis.

[SPEAKER_01]: which means they're no longer spending money at the gift shop outside of Artemis' temple.

[SPEAKER_01]: So the people who are greedy for money use political or spiritual language to cover up financial greed and that's a short mark that the devil is at work and you're in the midst of spiritual warfare.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want to tell you, now is the season to be discerning to know that when people open their mouth, is it the spirit of God speaking or is it the spirit of greed speaking?

[SPEAKER_01]: Just because they use spiritual language don't mean it ain't greed just because they use political language Don't mean it ain't greed just because they use language that sounds good don't mean all they care about is the bottom line Don't you know we live in a country full of folk who don't care nothing about your well being all they won't it's what they can get from you

[SPEAKER_01]: You go to the pharmaceutical company and they give you enough medicine just to keep you sick long enough to never actually get healed Because they don't care about your wellness.

[SPEAKER_01]: They just want your money

[SPEAKER_01]: And then churches ain't no better.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's people who do what I do for a living too.

[SPEAKER_01]: Who a grab a microphone and tell you anything you need to hear.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just to get you to come up off that mighty dollar.

[SPEAKER_01]: They'll grab a microphone and lie to your face in Jesus' name that if you give me $55 in 22 cents, God is gonna bless you 55 ways in 22 days and you run up to the altar, giving your last money that you should have used at the grocery store, the phoenix and then you trying to figure out

[SPEAKER_01]: Why the Lord ain't moves that you've been lied to?

[SPEAKER_01]: You've been bound to booze that hell of a week.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anybody who can give God praise for the fact that he'll give you discernment to see the truth?

[SPEAKER_01]: You better hit me.

[SPEAKER_01]: Lies are sure signs of spiritual warfare.

[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody, both days get up and use political language to cover up lies, we live in in spiritual warfare.

[SPEAKER_01]: In this in that moment, you gotta ask yourself, I'm in this fight, who am I fighting for?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm fighting for it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Who's side in my own?

[SPEAKER_01]: Cause you can't be in the middle and watch the fight.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is a fight we are all engaged in and in spiritual warfare.

[SPEAKER_01]: The question is not, if I'm fighting, it's who I'm fighting for.

[SPEAKER_01]: Paul wrote to these people and called them saints, but they didn't use to be saints because Acts 19 says they will worship in this false goddess, so here's the question.

[SPEAKER_01]: How can people who used to worship a false goddess now be called saints?

[SPEAKER_01]: How can people who used to be on their own side of the fight now and be on the right side of the fight?

[SPEAKER_01]: You got to see the scene in your mind.

[SPEAKER_01]: The context is war or spiritual warfare.

[SPEAKER_01]: So a fight is going on and I'm fighting.

[SPEAKER_01]: But it's not until I'm in the middle of the fight that I start realising.

[SPEAKER_01]: I fight on the wrong side.

[SPEAKER_01]: So now I got a choice to make.

[SPEAKER_01]: Do I stop fighting?

[SPEAKER_01]: Or do I keep fighting and change sides?

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's our problem.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stop fighting not realizing that the fight wasn't an issue is just who you was fighting for, that's the issue.

[SPEAKER_01]: When you get saved you don't fight less, you just turn around in the battle and you fight the size you used to fight forth.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know what your problem is?

[SPEAKER_01]: You got baptized and forgot what these hands can do.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Lord called you to be safe, but the Lord also called you to know what it means that when a war breaks out, you know how to drop to your knees and fight spiritually, that when somebody comes against you and your family, you know how to take a stand and keep on scrapping.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anybody who can testify or ever, you ain't talking to somebody who can't take a lick and then keep on taking, I don't been in a battle before, you lookin' at somebody who got a tough chin, you wanna give God praise for the fact that even when I repent and train sides,

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just flying with the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what your past hell, but your future is I will stand with the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll just stand with the Lord number two, I will stand in the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: If standing with the Lord is repentance, standing in the Lord is salvation.

[SPEAKER_01]: The question is, why should I be in the Lord?

[SPEAKER_01]: You should be in the Lord because you're also in some other things that if you not in the Lord, the other stuff you in to overtake you.

[SPEAKER_01]: But if you in the Lord, it all matter what else you in because as long as you in the Lord, the Lord is a protective layer for anything else you in.

[SPEAKER_01]: Y'all looking to be like you ain't in some hills.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't make me bow down your leg.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us are in some situation ships.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us are in some dead.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, some of us are in some tough spots at work.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you need to protect them later to help you overcome the other stuff you in.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when you're in the Lord, wherever you go, you're not just in it, you're in the Lord and the Lord is in it with you.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it means to be saved, it means to be in the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the question, Rev, when shall I do it?

[SPEAKER_01]: You should be in the Lord as soon as you can, because you don't know when the evil day is coming.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you don't want to wait to the evil day to try to get in the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: You want to be in the Lord today, before tomorrow, what you mean, Rev, verse 13 says that you will be able to withstand

[SPEAKER_01]: in the evil day, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: What you mean with standing in the evil day?

[SPEAKER_01]: That term, evil day could refer to a literal 24-hour period.

[SPEAKER_01]: It could refer to a tough season, or it could refer to that final day of judgment when Jesus comes back to judge the world.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you want to be in the Lord before anyone of them happened.

[SPEAKER_01]: What you mean, Ralph?

[SPEAKER_01]: You want to be in the Lord before you have a bad Tuesday.

[SPEAKER_01]: You haven't had a bad Tuesday?

[SPEAKER_01]: Can't you out of nowhere?

[SPEAKER_01]: Sunday was great, you worshiped.

[SPEAKER_01]: You made it over Monday, in one piece.

[SPEAKER_01]: You assume Tuesday is going to be easy, peasy.

[SPEAKER_01]: And before you can even actually get the work good, do realize, I don't know, some about this day just don't feel right.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you realize in that pressure moment that you miss your devotional,

[SPEAKER_01]: You know how I know I miss my time of the Lord because Darrell started rising up in me.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: That flesh started flushing.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's about, ooh, it's 10.45 in the morning.

[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't gonna make it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't pray today.

[SPEAKER_01]: You need to be in the Lord before you end a bad day.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because when you're in a bad day, it'll cause you to be so frazzled that all that spiritual maturity you had Sunday at 930 is going by Tuesday at 1045 in the morning.

[SPEAKER_01]: You need to be in the law before you go into a tough season.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's what I've learned about seasons.

[SPEAKER_01]: Seasons don't always follow the calendar do that.

[SPEAKER_01]: The temperature of change before it's technically

[SPEAKER_01]: And you will still be dressed for summer.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you'll be like, it feel like follow.

[SPEAKER_01]: You'll look at the calendar and it may not line up from a colonos chronological standpoint.

[SPEAKER_01]: But in a Cairo seasonal standpoint, you will realize things around me shifted and then nobody give me a forecast.

[SPEAKER_01]: You ever realized you was in a season

[SPEAKER_01]: And you can figure out, what's wrong with me?

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I'm in a different season.

[SPEAKER_01]: You need to be in the Lord before season is changed because being in the Lord before season is changed gives you the confidence that no matter what kind of whether I walk into, I'm gonna be good either way.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Lord being in the Lord is like having a light Jackie when you travel.

[SPEAKER_01]: If it's cold, I'm good, if it's warm, I'm good, and if it's neither, I'm gonna still be fly.

[SPEAKER_01]: In other words, you wanna be in the law before you need the law.

[SPEAKER_01]: But then at final day when Jesus returned and I'm telling y'all, Kumbaya Jesus today and gonna be Kumbaya Jesus tomorrow.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you re-reveilations, Jesus gonna terrify you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that Jesus with a peaceful Jesus with holes in his hands that sit with the little limbs and invite all people to come to him, that ain't the same Jesus in Revelation.

[SPEAKER_01]: In Revelation he got fire in his eyes and Revelation he got a sword on his hip and Revelation he's riding on a white horse and Revelation he's got a sash across his chest and Revelation he's got a lot of Lord's tears.

[SPEAKER_01]: on his stop and revelations, he's got the blood of his enemies stained on his garments.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now we got his blood then, we gonna have his enemies blood.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that ain't the Jesus, I don't want no smoke with that Jesus.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm in the Lord now.

[SPEAKER_01]: They said it was gonna be a wrap to the other day.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was waiting on, and I was like, come on.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, I can say it is build money before I told him.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on back, come by out, my Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're out to you, me.

[SPEAKER_01]: You want to be in the Lord before that final day hits.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the thing, though, when we're in the Lord and we're saved, just because we stay in the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't mean we can't fall in religious pride.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because even though we saved, we're still being saved.

[SPEAKER_01]: We still got a little lean in us.

[SPEAKER_01]: The word is iniquity.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let the church say iniquity.

[SPEAKER_01]: Iniquity means even when I'm in the lower, I still got a little lean in me.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if you put me in the wrong scenario, that lean may get deeper.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: You're looking at me like you're a lean sometimes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't let you see the wrong person.

[SPEAKER_01]: Lean.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be driving down the street, but your windows down there, you smell what they smokein' in the other car.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you lean.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.

[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.

[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: We all got a little lean in this.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us drink a little lean, and then drink too much lean, that the lean make us start leanin'.

[SPEAKER_01]: It reminds me of this building in Italy, this little town called Pisa.

[SPEAKER_01]: This leaning tower of Pisa, what's interesting is, when it was constructed from the day it was constructed, it had a lane.

[SPEAKER_01]: The people who built it, then taken to account that the ground around it was too soft to handle the weight of the structure.

[SPEAKER_01]: So from the day it was constructed, it started leaning.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like it was born and seen or shaping in an equity.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then in the nineties, it was laying there so much that they decided to do some remedial work.

[SPEAKER_01]: What that means is they brought in architects to come help this leaning tower of peace.

[SPEAKER_01]: And all they did was make it lean a little less.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's still leaning, but not as much as it used to lean.

[SPEAKER_01]: After a little remedial work, it lanes a little less.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now millions of people go to Italy every year to see this leaning tower piece of somebody ask me why.

[SPEAKER_01]: They don't go to see the tower because it's leaning.

[SPEAKER_01]: They go to see the tower because it's still standing.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you know you got spectators in your life who know what you've been through?

[SPEAKER_01]: Know what you're going through and all they like to do is watch you to see how you're going to respond in this next season And their fascination is not what you're leading what they can't understand is how you still stand And how you make it through everything you've been through and you ain't fail yet

[SPEAKER_01]: and the shouting news is not that I'm still standing.

[SPEAKER_01]: The shouting news is I don't link like I used to.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anybody who can give God praise, what a fact that you can bless somebody who curse you because you don't link like you used to.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll stand with the Lord is repentance.

[SPEAKER_01]: I stand in the Lord's salvation.

[SPEAKER_01]: Number three, I stand by the Lord's empowerment.

[SPEAKER_01]: He says, be strong in the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hear me and in the power of His might.

[SPEAKER_01]: You see, if you somebody like me who's a go-getter and a doer, you might misdeficit that salvation ain't enough to keep you day to day.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, salvation is enough to secure you for eternity.

[SPEAKER_01]: But from day to day, you need to be empowered.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us get saved, and we tell the Lord, essentially, all right, Lord, since you saved me, I got it from here.

[SPEAKER_01]: Mmm.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't got it from here today in power with me.

[SPEAKER_01]: Give me the grace I need for the day and if tomorrow comes and I'm still here, I'm gonna ask you for more grace cause I'm gonna need it then.

[SPEAKER_01]: I need to be strengthened by your power, because I don't have the willpower, the energy, or the vitality to keep up what I need to become the person that you say to me to be, so I need to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I need to be tapped in and connected.

[SPEAKER_01]: So his power is flowing through.

[SPEAKER_01]: In 1977, my father was nine years old.

[SPEAKER_01]: And in the city where he's from New York City, there was his rolling blackout.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if y'all knew that my dad is from Brooklyn, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: So when I was born a city miles met a country miles.

[SPEAKER_01]: My dad from the city, my mom and from Abbeyville, Alabama, don't worry about it.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's nowhere.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[SPEAKER_01]: City miles met a country miles, and it's appropriate that I'm from Atlanta, because Atlanta is both city and country.

[SPEAKER_01]: You don't realize Atlanta's country until you go to a bigger city, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: But Atlanta is a city to folks from the country.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm a country mouse in the city, mouse in my dad is from Brooklyn.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was nine years old running around the streets from New York City and a blackout hit the city.

[SPEAKER_01]: This blackout knocked out all the lights, but what it really revealed was the darkness and the hearts of all the people.

[SPEAKER_01]: The next day, 4,000 people went to jail because everything they did in darkness, they had to answer for in the light.

[SPEAKER_01]: And somewhere I read that whatever happens in the darkness will come to the light.

[SPEAKER_01]: So here they are 4,000 people in jail because of the stuff they did in the darkness.

[SPEAKER_01]: What was born people's mind though is not the darkness.

[SPEAKER_01]: What blue people's mind is during this whole blackout, the Statue of Liberty was still lit up.

[SPEAKER_01]: They couldn't figure out how the whole New York city is in darkness, but the Statue of Liberty is lit up.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's when they discover that the Statue of Liberty is not plugged in to get her power from New York City.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Statue of Liberty is plugged in to get her power from New Jersey.

[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you're looking at me like you understand what I'm trying to say in this moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't you know, it's people looking at you in darkness and they can't understand how you still got this little lighter mine that I'm going to let Sean, they can't figure out how you still standing with one piece of mine how you ain't put your shoes on your head and put your hat on your feet they can't understand how you ain't lost at all after all that you've been through and they're looking at you and the darkness all around you and shocked me

[SPEAKER_01]: by the light they still see any of you and the shouting news is, that's cause I don't get my light from the same place you get to us from.

[SPEAKER_01]: I get my power from a whole, another source, and my source of keep me lit up even in the deepest darkness.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anybody grateful for the fact that when you're plugged in the Jesus?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, keep you lit up.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm down, y'all.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm down, the altar's gonna be over.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand.

[SPEAKER_01]: with the Lord, that's repentance.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand in the Lord, that's salvation.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand by the Lord because we've been empowered.

[SPEAKER_01]: We stand for the Lord as faithful people.

[SPEAKER_01]: Stand for the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: You see, standing for the Lord requires that you are dressed at all times for warfare.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you thought this was, but this will be a reminder to you we are in the midst of spiritual darkness.

[SPEAKER_01]: and in spiritual warfare, the Lord is looking for those who are going to be faithful to Him.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hear me, God's desire is not for you to be successful at the expense of you being faithful.

[SPEAKER_01]: If the Lord picked one, the Lord is going to pick faithful over-successful because the results don't impress God.

[SPEAKER_01]: Give me what I say.

[SPEAKER_01]: God is not impressed by results because there's no result God can't make immediately happen if he won't do.

[SPEAKER_01]: If the Lord can sit in nothing and speak everything, he can create results in a moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: When Adam and Eve walked the earth, they walked the earth as adults.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were never babies.

[SPEAKER_01]: He matured them in a moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: When trees came about of the ground, and the beginning these trees came up out of the ground with fruit already own them in a moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: He went to the hood called Nazareth to a little 15-year-old girl and put a baby in her stomach without using a man and did it in a moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: God is not impressed by his oath.

[SPEAKER_01]: Success don't move God.

[SPEAKER_01]: God moves success.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's faithfulness that gets the attention of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: And our problem is, we think that if we're not progressing, we're not doing anything.

[SPEAKER_01]: Could you imagine in the middle of a war, somebody just doing this?

[SPEAKER_01]: If we was watching 300 or gladiator two, and then there's this war going on, somebody's just standing, the first thing that Karnit Yaman is with, what are they doing?

[SPEAKER_01]: The next thing I'm coming in my mind is, if you'll move, you could get murdered, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: In my mind, you gotta be moving to be doing something.

[SPEAKER_01]: But the word is stand in this text is a verb.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I learned in third grade that a verb is a word is an action word.

[SPEAKER_01]: So standing is doing something.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want you to lean in right here.

[SPEAKER_01]: You mad at yourself that you haven't succeeded.

[SPEAKER_01]: And heaven is just proud of you that you still standing.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let me say it again.

[SPEAKER_01]: You mad at yourself because you ain't made no moves to progress.

[SPEAKER_01]: And God is proud of you.

[SPEAKER_01]: That you're still standing.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's people who have folded with more success than you will ever have.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's people who have stood under twice as much pressure as you ever faced.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be so addicted to the results that you missed that standing is doing something.

[SPEAKER_01]: And sometimes standing is all I can do.

[SPEAKER_01]: You haven't been overcome so much about life at all and you could do what's standing?

[SPEAKER_01]: Come here.

[SPEAKER_01]: You haven't been moving for so long.

[SPEAKER_01]: that you got exhausted, it realized I'll have no more energy to move.

[SPEAKER_01]: I barely got enough energy, just a standing is doing something.

[SPEAKER_01]: In the middle of spiritual warfare, you may feel like you're doing that.

[SPEAKER_01]: But if you stand there, you haven't retreated, you haven't folded, you haven't given up, standing is doing something.

[SPEAKER_01]: In this people under the sound of my voice, virtually and in person, you are facing a darkness that you only have to work to explain or describe.

[SPEAKER_01]: You have been dealing with things in your mind and your spirit, that you can't even articulate.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's a fear and an anxiety that grabs you and won't let you go.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's a doubt to the extent that you struggle to love yourself.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm proud of you as your pastor and brother in Christ that in the words I'm Antoine Fisher.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still here and I'm still standing.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anybody when I Antoine Fisher prays in the Wake Community Church who can testify a Reverend?

[SPEAKER_01]: I probably ain't got the way I want to be but thank God I'm still here!

[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not luring the bar.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm raising your perspective.

[SPEAKER_01]: God don't need you to be fantastic to give him glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: God don't need you to success to bring him honor.

[SPEAKER_01]: Your faithfulness to stand brings God more honor than results have a clue.

[SPEAKER_01]: So stand for the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care how you've fallen in the past today.

[SPEAKER_01]: Make the declaration, I will stand for the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the last thing, number five, I will stand before the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: Verse 18 says, praying always, praying always, why, Reverend, am I gonna stand before the Lord?

[SPEAKER_01]: Cause if I ain't standing before the Lord and prayer, I can't stand for the Lord and faithfulness.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm gonna only stand for the Lord and faithfulness once I'm standing by the Lord's power.

[SPEAKER_01]: I can only stand by the law's power on some standing in the law's salvation.

[SPEAKER_01]: I can only stand in the law's salvation when I'm standing with the law through repentance.

[SPEAKER_01]: Those who stand or those who stand before the law, that means, Lord, I'm not running from you.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a peer before you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Even if we gotta have a tough conversation, I'm gonna talk to you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Even if you gotta tell me something I don't wanna hear, I'm a listen to you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because the secret to my sustaining power is standing before you.

[SPEAKER_01]: With my prayers, my requests, making a supplication.

[SPEAKER_01]: Not just for me, but also for all the signs.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes you've got to stand for the before the law for somebody else.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes, and I need to even you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it's not even your house.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's a house so close to your house that whatever happened at that house impacts with what happens in your house.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's this term that firefighters use call conflagration.

[SPEAKER_01]: Conflagration means that if one house catches on fire and the wind is blowing just right, the fire in one can send embers to another and the fire that started over there can get on your house and burn it down to it.

[SPEAKER_01]: My prayer ain't even for me.

[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes my prayer is for my neighbor whose life is on fire.

[SPEAKER_01]: Cause it was happening in the day house.

[SPEAKER_01]: Can't have faith was happening in that mind.

[SPEAKER_01]: Do I have a people ready to stand before the Lord?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm standing in the need of prayer.

[SPEAKER_01]: Lord, I need you for something.

[SPEAKER_01]: The altar is open.

[SPEAKER_01]: We don't spend the balance of our time and worship praying.

[SPEAKER_01]: I wanna invite the team that stands before the Lord for us weekend and weekend.

[SPEAKER_01]: Our intercessors pray for me and my family.

[SPEAKER_01]: For you and your family, we can and we can.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you have a prayer that you wanna come into pause it on this altar, it's still open.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm about to get some oil.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you want me to lay hands on you and pray for you, I will.

[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever burden on your heart, you wanna lay before the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now it was that moment, but it was a bit stressing you out.

[SPEAKER_01]: For us straight in, you irritate in you, and even if it's not you, we've all in as well in the showhouse, but you got a neighbor, a brother, a sister, a cousin a friend, a coworker, somebody you want to go to the Lord before, the altar is open for you.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord Father in the name of Jesus, Father, we just come before you're throwing the grace God.

[SPEAKER_04]: I send for your mercy on today, God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord, you said that my people shall humble themselves and pray and seek your face.

[SPEAKER_04]: Turn from our wicked ways, God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord, you said, then will you hear, heal our land, and then will we hear from heaven's table, God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord, we need a healing and I land on today, O God, in the name of Jesus.

[SPEAKER_04]: God, we are in a warfare, God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord, some of us are battling, can't so God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord, and I pray for the God that you're mercy and your grace, O God.

[SPEAKER_04]: We'll follow them on today, O God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord, you said, by your stripes we are healed, O God, I cast our cancer, I cast our tumors on today, O God, in the name of Jesus, O God, Lord, and we stand on your Word, O God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Lord, you said, we're two, three, gathered in your name, God.

[SPEAKER_04]: There you are in the midst of God, Lord, I thank you for being in the midst of shandard the other my shandard Glory be to God, Hosanna to the most high God, in the name of Jesus, O God Lord, some of us are battling the pressure of God, Lord, you said to my people O God

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh God, oh God, praise me, oh God, Lord, oh God, open up our understanding on today God, and we may praise your God, in the name of Jesus.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh God, Lord, I can't stop the spirit of the pression right now, in the name of Jesus.

[SPEAKER_04]: They have no root God, you said, you will keep the imperfect peace, lose mind and stay on the O God, and we want to keep our mind on you God.

[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes we go to pray God, and the pression has a hold of us to God, but we cast it out right now God, and we're going to keep our minds on you God, we're going to pray, we're going to sing songs on to you or God, in the name of Jesus.

[SPEAKER_04]: God, some of us are struggling on our job.

[SPEAKER_04]: So God, not knowing if we're gonna have a job next week Oh God, Lord, but you said to bring your husband offering into the storehouse.

[SPEAKER_04]: So God, improve you now with said on the board.

[SPEAKER_04]: If you weren't open up.

[SPEAKER_04]: The wind doesn't have an oga hot and pour us our blessings that we don't have room enough to receive God Oh, shout out to your blood, shout out Glory thank you for your blessings, O God, in the name of Jesus God, we surrender unto you, God Greatest heat that is in us, O God
