[SPEAKER_02]: Would you?

[SPEAKER_02]: The gospel according to Mark.

[SPEAKER_02]: Chapter six.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just playing with Y'all.

[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's all right.

[SPEAKER_02]: Mark chapter six.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to begin with verse.

[SPEAKER_02]: Number 40, would you help me praise God for this dynamic music ministry that has plus us?

[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, brother Ben.

[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Reading from the NRSV translation, whatever translation you have as long as it's Bible, you're in good territory.

[SPEAKER_02]: here now the word of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_02]: So they sat down in groups of hundreds and of 50s, taking the five loaves and the two fish.

[SPEAKER_02]: He looked up to heaven and blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to set before the people.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he divided the two fish among them all in all eight and were filled.

[SPEAKER_02]: and they took up 12 baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.

[SPEAKER_02]: Those who had eaten the loaves numbered 5,000 men.

[SPEAKER_02]: Again, for heaven's first 43, and they took up 12 baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.

[SPEAKER_02]: The word of God for the people of God, thanks be to God.

[SPEAKER_02]: This morning, I want to live as a subject, this thought, I'm still counting bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still counting bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: Years ago, my grandfather, the late George Lee Vickers senior, came to visit me.

[SPEAKER_02]: And his usual custom was to ask me about the status of my bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: At his invitation, I would pull my wallet out.

[SPEAKER_02]: I would open up the wallet so that he could examine the contents or the lack thereof.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he would tell me that a man should always have some bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so he would reach into his pocket.

[SPEAKER_02]: give me anywhere from $20 to $50 with the expectation that the next time he saw me that I would still have some bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember this particular visit, he came, and he asked me the status of my bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I was very happy to report that this time out of the $50

[SPEAKER_02]: And I was looking forward to taking a new 50 and adding it to my 40, so that I would have 90 bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: But this visit was different.

[SPEAKER_02]: This time, instead of adding to my personal coffers, he requested that I surrender to $20.

[SPEAKER_02]: I was upset by this because my granddaddy had money.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I thought that it was inappropriate and out of line for my grandfather who was a grown man to take money from his grandson.

[SPEAKER_02]: And yet out of obedience, I surrendered 20 of my $40.

[SPEAKER_02]: I had a problem with this because the Lord would only require four.

[SPEAKER_02]: asked for 50% of what I had, and I surrendered begrudging Lee $20, and he died, and I never got my $20 back.

[SPEAKER_02]: Now you can look at me all judgmental if you want to, but somebody

[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just trying to be human in front of you in this spiritual moment.

[SPEAKER_02]: And let you know that my granddaddy took 20 of my $40.

[SPEAKER_02]: And died before I could get it back.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I know it's past the halls and a verse free, but if you all talk to my granddaddy before he left, I'd be glad to collect my $20 today.

[SPEAKER_02]: It took me years to understand the lesson that my grandfather was trying to teach me.

[SPEAKER_02]: But what is emblazoned in my mind is that on that visit, I had forty dollars.

[SPEAKER_02]: And my grandfather made me surrender twenty into his hand.

[SPEAKER_02]: Now I realize that in the great scheme of life, $20, might not go a long way.

[SPEAKER_02]: $20 does not fill up a gas tank anymore.

[SPEAKER_02]: You can't even go to a good movie date for $20 anymore.

[SPEAKER_02]: But that little bit of money was meaningful to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was significant to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: I had plans.

[SPEAKER_02]: for that $20.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know y'all hoping that I move on, but I took that $20 and surrendered it into my grandfather's hand.

[SPEAKER_02]: In Mark chapter six, we are acquainted with the narrative that demonstrates what the Lord is able to do when we surrender a small portion.

[SPEAKER_02]: into his hand.

[SPEAKER_02]: This passage of Scripture is one of the more celebrated miracles of Jesus.

[SPEAKER_02]: It is one of few that is recorded in all four gospel accounts.

[SPEAKER_02]: here in the gospel of Mark, which is the eldest gospel account, and the one where and the writer writes with short simplicity.

[SPEAKER_02]: Helps us to see that near Beth Seda off the shores of the sea of Galilee in a remote place.

[SPEAKER_02]: And in front of the masses of people, 5,000 men and addition to women and children, he multiplies the fish and the loaves, feeds the masses, and this miracle has gone down in history, and it's still preached and taught centuries later.

[SPEAKER_02]: Would you lean in a little closer?

[SPEAKER_02]: I recognize that this message on pastor and church anniversary may not be for everybody.

[SPEAKER_02]: But for every man, for every woman, for every person who has tried to make the freight ends of life meet, this message might be for you, for any person who feels as if you early in the month of February, have more month than money.

[SPEAKER_02]: This message might be for you.

[SPEAKER_02]: If you look at your portfolio recently and discover that things are not looking the way that they're supposed to look, this message might be for you.

[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, I am not a prosperity preacher.

[SPEAKER_02]: I do not subscribe to the fallacy of prosperity gospel, but I have come on divine assignment to suggest to you that if you learn how to entrust your little bit

[SPEAKER_02]: that the God we serve is able to take shortage and stretch it into sufficiency, that the God that we serve is able to take you a little bit and make it much, and you can live your life still, counting bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: Matthew, Mark chapter six.

[SPEAKER_02]: is interesting because it opens with the rejection of Jesus at Nazareth, teaching on the Sabbath day in front of people that watched him grow up was not an awesome experience for Jesus.

[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, the Bible tells us that he was rejected and upon being rejected, he leaves his hometown and he moves about going with his disciples into various cities proclaiming that

[SPEAKER_02]: Scripture then moves to tell us that Jesus empowers His disciples to heal and to preach with authority, and He sends them out by two, with the expectation that they would return with the report of all that God has done through them.

[SPEAKER_02]: and his instructions to them were this.

[SPEAKER_02]: Take nothing for your journey.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't take any bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't take any water.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't even take a change of clothes.

[SPEAKER_02]: And if anybody rejects you, don't stay there.

[SPEAKER_02]: But in fact, lead there and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them and keep on going.

[SPEAKER_02]: Keep on preaching.

[SPEAKER_02]: About this time, sisters and brothers, the Bible tells us that John the Baptist has been beheaded by Herod.

[SPEAKER_02]: And this caused great internal conflict for Herit because Herit actually enjoyed hearing John the Baptist even though his message perplexed him.

[SPEAKER_02]: The Bible tells us that Herit would be convicted but at the same time, he was drawn in by the dynamism of John the Baptist's ministry.

[SPEAKER_02]: But the problem was that Herit's wife, Herodius, who was actually the wife of Herit's brother, Philip,

[SPEAKER_02]: who he married did not like John the Baptist because he preached against the lawlessness of their marriage.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so while Herod enjoyed hearing John preach, his wife couldn't stand him.

[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine going to bed at night if you were Herod loving John's preaching?

[SPEAKER_02]: downloading John's podcast only for your wife to be rolling her neck and cutting her eyes.

[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why you'd listen to that preacher anyway.

[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't like the way that we're living.

[SPEAKER_02]: She couldn't stand it but for some reason or another John couldn't help himself.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so one day, the Bible tells us that herit decides that he would throw a birthday banquet for himself.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he invites all of the leaders of his court and the great top tier leaders in the region.

[SPEAKER_02]: He throws an exclusive birthday banquet for himself, the creme de la creme.

[SPEAKER_02]: are there.

[SPEAKER_02]: People with six-figure annual incomes are there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Those who are considered the upper echelon of society are there.

[SPEAKER_02]: People who know how to make their subject and verb agree are there.

[SPEAKER_02]: People with letters behind their name are there.

[SPEAKER_02]: This was an exclusive affair.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was the party of the year.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was a who's who?

[SPEAKER_02]: for her, it's birthday party.

[SPEAKER_02]: And the entertainment, the entertainment was to die for.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the entertainment was to die for the DJ.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was on the ones and two, and they were doing it for the 99s and the 2000s.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to help you to understand that the entertainment was live.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was reminiscent.

[SPEAKER_02]: of those Saturdays in undergrad.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you can take your pick between Onix and Magic City.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't act like you ain't never been there.

[SPEAKER_02]: Keep on looking at me.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to help you to understand it was a party.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: Kavassia was being cast all around.

[SPEAKER_02]: It was a... Yeah.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then...

[SPEAKER_02]: The featured entertainment came out.

[SPEAKER_02]: Herodius's daughter came out dancing.

[SPEAKER_02]: Her hits were twirling.

[SPEAKER_02]: The beads around her waist were clinging.

[SPEAKER_02]: She had her face covered, where only her eyes were showing.

[SPEAKER_02]: And her arms were outstretched horizontally.

[SPEAKER_02]: And she was dancing.

[SPEAKER_02]: She was dancing in a scintillating manner.

[SPEAKER_02]: kind of manner that makes you take an extra sip of water.

[SPEAKER_02]: And kind of manner that makes you forget that you came with somebody.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to help you understand she was dancing young.

[SPEAKER_02]: And the Bible says that it pleased herit.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is some sick stuff.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is some Epstein stuff, release the files, this is some.

[SPEAKER_02]: She was dancing in so much so that her step daddy said, baby, I like what I'm seeing.

[SPEAKER_02]: She danced so well, brothers, that Heron said, you can have whatever you like, you can have whatever you love.

[SPEAKER_02]: She was dancing, and she was so overcome with the offer that she runs back to her mom and says, Mama, what should I ask for?

[SPEAKER_02]: And her mama said, go and tell her that I want the head of John the Baptist on a platter,

[SPEAKER_02]: and sorrow in order to be a man of his word and not embarrass himself in front of the upper echelylial society.

[SPEAKER_02]: Herod keeps his word and John the Baptist is beheaded and his head is presented on a platter.

[SPEAKER_02]: The Bible tells us that shortly they're after.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus is disciples return with the report of all that they had done and experienced.

[SPEAKER_02]: They had been so busy that they didn't even have time to get something to eat.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus says, let's go somewhere so you can rest and rejuvenate.

[SPEAKER_02]: The Bible says that as they were traveling, a great crowd saw them and followed them.

[SPEAKER_02]: And when Jesus saw them, he taught them and was moved to compassion.

[SPEAKER_02]: He saw the Bible says that they were like sheep without a shepherd.

[SPEAKER_02]: And he says to his disciples, get them something to eat.

[SPEAKER_02]: And they said, well, how can we feed all these people?

[SPEAKER_02]: Publix is nowhere near.

[SPEAKER_02]: And even if Publix were close, it would take 200 days worth of wages to feed them.

[SPEAKER_02]: What are we going to get that kind of money?

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus says, what do you have?

[SPEAKER_02]: They looked among themselves and determined that all they had was two fish, five ballin' on those.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus said, give it to me, and he took it, broke it, blessed it, gave it back, he told them to see them in groups of 50 and 100, and then serve the people, give them what I give to you.

[SPEAKER_02]: The Bible tells us that everybody ate and were filled.

[SPEAKER_02]: and there were 12 basketballs left over.

[SPEAKER_02]: You might not know this the way, but every now and then, as a pastor, sometimes it seems that what the Lord has given me is not enough to give to you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Even!

[SPEAKER_02]: When your pastor has prayed, it doesn't seem like enough.

[SPEAKER_02]: Even when your pastor has studied, it does not seem like enough because here it is.

[SPEAKER_02]: We are aware of our own deficiencies.

[SPEAKER_02]: We are aware of our own shortcomings and surely God would not employ us to be positioned as the in between to serve you sometimes.

[SPEAKER_02]: It seems that what God has given us to share with you to prepare for you, to feed you is insufficient.

[SPEAKER_02]: But pastor, I come to encourage you today that whenever the Lord has placed in your hand to serve his people, God is able to stretch it

[SPEAKER_02]: to make it so efficient and as long as you keep on standing to serve, God's people will be fed and as long as you keep eating, you'll still be able to keep on counting bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.

[UNKNOWN]: Thank you.

[UNKNOWN]: Thank you.

[UNKNOWN]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so, the multitudes are fed, but that's not the shout.

[SPEAKER_02]: 5,000 men plus women and children are fed, but that's not the shout.

[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the shout, here's the sentiment in the sentence.

[SPEAKER_02]: Here it is.

[SPEAKER_02]: There were 12 basketballs left over.

[SPEAKER_02]: And half-dirt, everybody ain't in was satisfied.

[SPEAKER_02]: The disciples were still counting bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: Can I help you understand how you can still be counting bread according to the text?

[SPEAKER_02]: There are three things that I see.

[SPEAKER_02]: The first thing that I see is the perception of the problem.

[SPEAKER_02]: The perception of the problem.

[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the problem.

[SPEAKER_02]: They look around the disciples that is.

[SPEAKER_02]: And they see that there are more people than what they feel like they can handle.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard the announcement that Minister Greg gave put your persons on the floor.

[SPEAKER_02]: Move down and make room for other people.

[SPEAKER_02]: There were more people than the disciples felt like they could handle.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then there were not enough resources.

[SPEAKER_02]: to attend to the care of the amount of people that were before them.

[SPEAKER_02]: They had more people than they had resources to meet the need.

[SPEAKER_02]: It seemed like they were on a mission for failure.

[SPEAKER_02]: That was the perception of the problem we got too many people and we don't have enough But cannot tell you brothers and sisters that's the right recipe for God to step in and do that Which only God can do maybe God allows us every now and then

[SPEAKER_02]: to see that we can make it with what we have in our hands that we can survive with what we have in our hands every now and then God allows us to see that what we have before us is not enough to help us to understand that if we give our little bit into the hands of God, God can do more with our little bit in his hand than we can in ours.

[SPEAKER_02]: But it's the right recipe.

[SPEAKER_02]: They're looking at the perception of the problem, but it's the right recipe.

[SPEAKER_02]: Here's why Jesus has something to prove.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't miss it, don't miss it.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus has something to prove.

[SPEAKER_02]: I shared with you that earlier in the chapter, Herod throws a birthday banquet.

[SPEAKER_02]: Herit demonstrates in his own hubris what a king can do.

[SPEAKER_02]: I shared with you that he invites all of the elite of society to Mara Lago.

[SPEAKER_02]: This was an exclusive banquet.

[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody couldn't come to this banquet.

[SPEAKER_02]: But Jesus says,

[SPEAKER_02]: Let me show you what a real King does.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to sit everybody down and while Harrod's banquet is exclusive, my banquet is inclusive.

[SPEAKER_02]: While Herod keeps people out, I say, who, so ever will, and past the whole when society draws lines, you enlarge the circle when society erects walls, you build bridges because you can throw Herod like bankwits you are called to have Jesus style bankwits where everybody can come, where everybody can be fed, where everybody can be served.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm so glad that while Harrod Spakewood might run out of breath.

[SPEAKER_02]: And Jesus is banquet.

[SPEAKER_02]: We're still counting, Brad.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus says, I got something to prove.

[SPEAKER_02]: I got to show you what a real king does.

[SPEAKER_02]: How a real king serves.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then you have to look at the meal that Jesus serves.

[SPEAKER_02]: He serves fish and bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: It is literally a royal feast in the wilderness, which suggests this that God can prepare a royal banquet, even in the midst of your wilderness.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can prepare a table before you, even in the presence of your enemies, you'll told you that you gotta be in the central city.

[SPEAKER_02]: God can prepare a banquet in God's Georgia right of 138.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so their perception of the problem is we got something that we can't handle.

[SPEAKER_02]: We got a situation that we can't handle.

[SPEAKER_02]: But guess what?

[SPEAKER_02]: If the Lord is on the scene, you ought to lay hands on yourself and declare there's nothing.

[SPEAKER_02]: I can't handle there.

[SPEAKER_02]: There's nothing that I cannot overcome.

[SPEAKER_02]: So they considered.

[SPEAKER_02]: the perception of the problem, but then secondly, we've got to consider the placement of the portions.

[SPEAKER_02]: They've already identified that they don't have enough.

[SPEAKER_02]: But Jesus asked, how many loaves do you have go and see?

[SPEAKER_02]: And when they found out they said, we have five loaves and two fish.

[SPEAKER_02]: And then Jesus said, sit all the people down and put it.

[SPEAKER_02]: in my hand, this is the key, I know that what you have is not enough, but put it in my hand.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know that you see the crowd.

[SPEAKER_02]: I know that they seem too numerous to count.

[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that when you look at what you have, compare to what you feel you need, it's insufficient, but put it in my hand.

[SPEAKER_02]: All right, there's an old poem.

[SPEAKER_02]: that talks about the difference of objects in one person's hand, that a football in my hand is worthless, but a football in the my Jackson's hands is worth millions of dollars.

[SPEAKER_02]: A basketball in my hand, well, it's worth some.

[SPEAKER_02]: makes him a billionaire, that a pen in my hand ain't worth much yet, but a pen in the hand of links and hues can write a renaissance.

[SPEAKER_02]: And guess what, your problems in your hand remain problems.

[SPEAKER_02]: But somewhere I heard this,

[SPEAKER_01]: And that, I'll put it all in his hands.

[SPEAKER_01]: He can handle it.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fact, I'll put it all in his hands.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know what problems you came carrying to church with you.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I've come on prophetic excitement to tell you that no matter what you came in, carrying, but it in his hands.

[SPEAKER_02]: Because here's what happens.

[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what happens when you place what you have in his hands.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus demonstrates the Jewish custom of blessing.

[SPEAKER_02]: It is a forefold movement that he will also demonstrate at the last supper.

[SPEAKER_02]: He takes it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm about to help myself.

[SPEAKER_02]: He blesses it.

[SPEAKER_02]: and he gives it back, did you hear what I said?

[SPEAKER_02]: He takes it, he blesses it, he breaks it and he gives it back.

[SPEAKER_02]: He takes it, he blesses it, he breaks it, and he gives it back.

[SPEAKER_02]: He takes it, he blesses it.

[SPEAKER_02]: He breaks it and he gives it back.

[SPEAKER_02]: This is a war for all the folks who are tempted not to give, not to solve because you think that God is in the business of subtraction and division and the truth is, we serve a God who's in the business of multiplication.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you can't got your little bit, he'll take it, he'll bless it, he'll break it and he'll get it back.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's why who says,

[SPEAKER_01]: Good measure, press down, shake it together, and running over, he takes it, blusher's it, breaks it, and he gives it back.

[SPEAKER_02]: You got to know where to place your portions.

[SPEAKER_02]: You got to know where to put your little bit.

[SPEAKER_02]: It may not be much in my hand, but I've got an investor who knows how to multiply and give me dividends and get it back to me.

[SPEAKER_02]: So that my cup is running over.

[SPEAKER_02]: takes the five loans, two fears, looks up to heaven, blessed, and broken, and gave it to his disciples to set before the people here.

[SPEAKER_02]: Here's what I love about this, Dr. Hall is that after he gives it back, he puts it into the hands of his disciples.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus does not give it directly to the people, although he could have.

[SPEAKER_02]: But he does something that is important for every leader to consider.

[SPEAKER_02]: He gives it to the disciples because they were the ones who had the problem with the faith.

[SPEAKER_02]: They are the ones with the faith challenge.

[SPEAKER_02]: And so he says, I need you to participate in the miracle that I wanna perform.

[SPEAKER_02]: And all brothers and sisters, to every person under the sound of my weak voice, who's frustrated with God because you've been waiting on God to work a miracle.

[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's because you missed your invitation to participate in the miracle that God wants to perform.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus always invites the doubt of the sick person, the lame person, to participate in their own miracle.

[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus says, what I could do it on my own, I need you to participate so that you can see that I am the one who has the power to make you keep all counting for it.

[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting ready to go home.

[SPEAKER_02]: Falcons are planned a night in a flag football game.

[SPEAKER_02]: I got the gold.

[SPEAKER_02]: He.

[SPEAKER_02]: Consider the perception of the problem.

[SPEAKER_02]: Consider the placement of the portions.

[SPEAKER_02]: But thoroughly, finally, I'm gone.

[SPEAKER_02]: Consider the proof of the provision.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, it's right there in your face.

[SPEAKER_02]: Two fish, five loaves, 5,000 men, plus women and children.

[SPEAKER_02]: There had been some debate, sisters and brothers, about the true identity of Jesus.

[SPEAKER_02]: Some were saying what Herod believed that John the Baptist had been raised from the dead.

[SPEAKER_02]: Others said that he's one of the other ancient prophets who has returned some said that he was Elijah, but Jesus takes a step forward to show, no, I'm not any of those people.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know I asked my disciples that Sessarria Philippi, who to men, say that I am.

[SPEAKER_02]: But let me demonstrate for you that I'm not like anybody that you've ever seen.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and Elijah had had a hundred people.

[SPEAKER_02]: But Jesus says, let me feed 5,000, plus women and children.

[SPEAKER_02]: Bible says, past the hall, that the people were grouped in hundreds and 50s, that the disciples were employed as door dashers in the desert, that they fed the people,

[SPEAKER_02]: who had gathered to hear Jesus and they kept on serving the tables and kept on returning to sue Chef Jesus and the Ma, they returned.

[SPEAKER_02]: The more the Lord kept on serving, the more they kept coming back, the more bread and the more the fish kept on multiplying, and that's good news for you past the home, because every time the people come looking for a meal.

[SPEAKER_02]: The text demonstrates that if you keep on going to the one who prepares the meal There will always be a meal to serve God's people because he keeps on making bread and you can keep on counting bread

[SPEAKER_02]: Because the God we serve is selling the miracle working business and the proof is in the provision and the provision is evidence in the text that the Bible says that everyone ate

[SPEAKER_02]: and was filmed and that's why I like this text because we've got it wrong in our interpretation over the years because so many times we believe that this text is about excess and overflow.

[SPEAKER_02]: But this text is not about excess and overflow because God does not believe it in waste.

[SPEAKER_02]: This text is not about overflow.

[SPEAKER_02]: This text is about sufficiency.

[SPEAKER_02]: That everything you need.

[SPEAKER_02]: God is faithful to provide them along your life's journey.

[SPEAKER_02]: That's why Jesus told them earlier in the chapter.

[SPEAKER_02]: You don't need to take any bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: Because I am the house of bread.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the baby born in Bethlehem.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if you need bread, God scotted him.

[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever you need, you got to learn to depend on his sufficiency.

[SPEAKER_02]: Because God has a long history of supplying bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: You said it's bread you need, right?

[SPEAKER_02]: Let me tell you about bread.

[SPEAKER_02]: And occurred in the wilderness of many.

[SPEAKER_02]: After the Israelites left Egypt's activity, after God's sin and the Easterly went across the Reeds Sea, rolled it down the Reeds Sea.

[SPEAKER_02]: Israel walked across on dry ground, and with the hill of the last Israelites.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just as upon freedom's shore God calls the waters to come crashing down God allowed them to Amen in the wilderness.

[SPEAKER_01]: He let it rest like flakes Oh morning grass and his instructions were whatever you need for the day

[SPEAKER_01]: Gather it that day, and the day before the Sabbath, take twice as much, so you don't work on the Sabbath.

[SPEAKER_01]: Are we talking about bread?

[SPEAKER_01]: Come here Elijah, I need you to rest by the book.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've employed the ravens to feed you, bread in the morning, and bread in the evening.

[SPEAKER_01]: The ravens who won't even feed their own young.

[SPEAKER_01]: to feed you, are we talking about bread?

[SPEAKER_01]: That's why Jesus said, give us this day.

[SPEAKER_01]: Our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses.

[SPEAKER_01]: God has a lengthy history of giving you the bread that you need.

[SPEAKER_02]: For the day's journey, I got to get out of here.

[SPEAKER_02]: But Jesus said, remember, I told you.

[SPEAKER_02]: Don't even take bread with you.

[SPEAKER_02]: It's because I needed you to see him.

[SPEAKER_02]: But no matter where you are, I'm able to provide.

[SPEAKER_02]: The bread that you need, the Bible says that after everybody ate it was filled, that there were 12 basketballs left over, some suggest, that the 12 is indicative of the 12 tribes of Israel, some suggest that the 12 is indicative of a number of completion, well the reality is, it is inconclusive.

[SPEAKER_01]: We really don't know the reason, all we know is that Jesus took two fish, five barley loaves, multiplied it, he took it, blessed it, broke it, gave it back.

[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody ate and was filled and there were 12 basketballs left over But the cycles were busy gathering up all the pieces.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were still Counting bread and they were all that's what I come to tell you when you're faithful to God God will blow your mind

[SPEAKER_01]: In such a way, that you'll still be counting bread.

[SPEAKER_01]: You'll move from shortage to some efficiency.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you'll live to see that you'll still be counting bread.

[SPEAKER_01]: Gotta get out of here.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I told you about my grand daddy who took twenty dollars.

[SPEAKER_01]: Out of my wallet.

[SPEAKER_01]: Went to the grave, still owe me $20.
