[SPEAKER_00]: This is a major holiday on the Christian calendar as we commemorate the triumphal entry of Jesus as he entered Jerusalem in preparation for passion week before he died on the crossfire sands.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm grateful for our teachers today who will collaborate through Sarmonets to communicate God's Word to us.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Reverend Adrian Robinson, Elder Juanita Shepherd, and Minister Greg Cartelon.

[SPEAKER_05]: It is my privilege to stand before you.

[SPEAKER_05]: Keeping all glory, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_05]: the shepherd of this house.

[SPEAKER_05]: The best pastor in the glory of the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, my beloved, we community church, family, all around the world is T.W.C.C.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_05]: Friends, join me this morning.

[SPEAKER_05]: Chapter 9, verse 9, and in the book of songs, chapter 1, 18, verses 25, and 26, two verses.

[SPEAKER_05]: Let's talk with songs.

[SPEAKER_05]: Go to songs on 18, verses 25, and 26, I will be ready to miss an individual living translation version of the Bible.

[SPEAKER_05]: And the word of the Lord

[SPEAKER_05]: Give us a success.

[SPEAKER_05]: Blessed one who comes in the name of the Lord, we bless you from the house of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_05]: Now we need to step by nine, nine, the word of the Lord reads his files.

[SPEAKER_05]: Rejoice, old people of the night, shout in triumph, old people of Jerusalem,

[SPEAKER_05]: Look, your king is coming to you.

[SPEAKER_05]: He has righteous and victorious.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yet he is humble, riding on a donkey, riding on a donkey's coat.

[SPEAKER_05]: You may be seated in the Lord's presence, maybe as always, at a blessing to the reading the hearing and the doing of his work.

[SPEAKER_05]: This morning, my friends, in the brief time

[SPEAKER_05]: Didn't I tell you, didn't I tell you?

[SPEAKER_05]: And see, some of y'all laugh right now because you know, if you heard that phrase before, then you know that the tone in which it is delivered or how it's said has a major impact on how effective it is.

[SPEAKER_05]: And many times you hear people use it in two different and distinct ways.

[SPEAKER_05]: Either they use it in an incredulous way, like something's unbelievable.

[SPEAKER_05]: So I say, Mr. Kirkley, did you watch that TV show I answered watch?

[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, I never danced watch.

[SPEAKER_05]: What?

[SPEAKER_05]: You didn't even see it?

[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, they're not telling you the sensual BCR.

[SPEAKER_05]: Such a deviant, right?

[SPEAKER_05]: Right?

[SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I didn't mess up saying this, y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: So it's you who did an incredulous way.

[SPEAKER_05]: I can't believe you didn't do what I suggested.

[SPEAKER_05]: But it's also used in an authoritative, punitive way.

[SPEAKER_05]: Where Punishment is usually about to happen as a result of someone not listening to what must hold to there.

[SPEAKER_05]: And we're going to get to that next second.

[SPEAKER_05]: And is that latter one that can get us in trouble, isn't it?

[SPEAKER_05]: Think about it.

[SPEAKER_05]: Many times, kids can tune their parents out, right?

[SPEAKER_05]: The instructions which parents impart to their children for whatever reason can fall on deaf ears.

[SPEAKER_05]: Say to God, and we're being honest, many times as God's children, we tune him out.

[SPEAKER_05]: His instructions, his mandates to us can fall on deaf ears.

[SPEAKER_05]: And that's not a new phenomenon, y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: They haven't evolved in instructions.

[SPEAKER_05]: Fell on deaf ears back during the time of Jesus' time.

[SPEAKER_05]: and a perfect example is the triumphal entry that we're talking about this morning.

[SPEAKER_05]: The triumphal entry was so significant because it fulfilled ancient Messianic prophecy with Jesus arriving in Jerusalem as the prophesized King, humble yet victorious, riding on a donkey's coat, but the people missed all of that.

[SPEAKER_05]: They expected a military conqueror,

[SPEAKER_05]: a Messiah who would thank which the Romans and freedom from Roman oppression.

[SPEAKER_05]: In other words, the people missed the significance of something they should have known.

[SPEAKER_05]: Something that they had already been told.

[SPEAKER_05]: See, had these folks in Jerusalem that they know their scripture?

[SPEAKER_05]: They wouldn't have been able to discern who Jesus really was.

[SPEAKER_05]: They wouldn't have been able to recognize the significance of the moment and the person of the moment.

[SPEAKER_05]: Say to God, the prophetic significance of our two verses this morning, lies in their unity, everybody say unity.

[SPEAKER_05]: You've got two separate passages which take it together, point to one key in one moment.

[SPEAKER_05]: The Messianic language of Psalm 118 creates the interpretive framework for understanding that combined prophecy.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: As the two messages or the two passages I should say, establish a prophetic connection.

[SPEAKER_05]: Psalm 118 is the Psalm of thanksgiving to God for empowering people to victory and in it, the Psalm is Christ out to God for salvation.

[SPEAKER_05]: Send us Lord.

[SPEAKER_05]: And He says, Blessed is He who comes the name of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_05]: This is the Psalmist's way of announcing God's salvation through the arrival of the one coming in God's name.

[SPEAKER_05]: And that was Jesus.

[SPEAKER_05]: Additionally, Jim is entry into Jerusalem.

[SPEAKER_05]: Riding on a donkey is interpreted as Philip Zekarai 99, our other text this morning, where the prophet announced a righteous and victorious king coming humbly on a donkey's coat.

[SPEAKER_05]: In short, saw one 18 confirms how the people would receive him.

[SPEAKER_05]: with south of save us and blessings for the coming king.

[SPEAKER_05]: Meanwhile, Zachary, nine confirms the king himself and how he would enter, which is quote-righteous, saving humble and riding on a donkey.

[SPEAKER_05]: He did accomplish both simultaneously, providing centuries worth of predictive fulfillment in the process.

[SPEAKER_05]: People missed it that day, y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: Whether they missed the interpretative it, whether they disregard it, whether or not but something they didn't fail to recognize the prophetic nature of Jesus' entry in the town at day.

[SPEAKER_05]: So can it you just see Jesus what is faithful of frustration?

[SPEAKER_05]: Even as he triumphantly enters into the city,

[SPEAKER_05]: Knowing that he saved people would be asking for his death a few days later.

[SPEAKER_05]: Catchers who see him sitting on a donkey think it's himself.

[SPEAKER_05]: They're all going, oh, they're not on the highest!

[SPEAKER_05]: Black still hard!

[SPEAKER_05]: He's right there, go in.

[SPEAKER_05]: Did not tell y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: Then I say this was going to happen.

[SPEAKER_05]: In the context of the prophetic congruence that we see these two passes as a text,

[SPEAKER_05]: The phrase that makes up our ceramic time, did not tell you, can be examined in two different aspects, y'all, just two and I'll be out here because clearly I got my home.

[SPEAKER_05]: And here's the first.

[SPEAKER_05]: When we talk about the phrase, did not tell you, it's an inquisitive phrase.

[SPEAKER_05]: Meaning someone asked sitting, just believe that you missed out, incredulous that you were not a part of something.

[SPEAKER_05]: I can't believe you didn't take part in it.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's like a reminder about what you should have known or remembered because you were told already.

[SPEAKER_05]: and frankly, the people in Jerusalem should have known that day who Jesus was when he came right there in a dark room.

[SPEAKER_05]: Consider the Jewish tradition, y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: It was required that males be able to read the Torah.

[SPEAKER_05]: School of existed in Palestine throughout the time of the first century.

[SPEAKER_05]: from the time that you were a young boy, you were intended or instructed to learn a Torah, rabbis were considered the deep factal community leaders and mentors in the community at the time, and don't forget during Passover week at that time,

[SPEAKER_05]: In Palestine alone, there was like half a million Jews.

[SPEAKER_05]: In Israel, there was about a million in the Roman Empire, it was like five million.

[SPEAKER_05]: Was by point, the people present at the Passover that day dealt with more than enough Jews.

[SPEAKER_05]: in attendance who should have known the scriptures in order to determine what this moment was.

[SPEAKER_05]: So, I didn't have opportunities in earlier.

[SPEAKER_05]: They just missed it.

[SPEAKER_05]: They missed what they should have known.

[SPEAKER_05]: Even today, my friends, people missed the significance of something they should have known.

[SPEAKER_05]: Look at how they passed the call puts this and it led it to the Church of Rome.

[SPEAKER_05]: Romans chapter 1, verses 18 to 20.

Romans 1:18–20

[SPEAKER_05]: But God shows His anger from heaven against all sinful wicked people who suppress the truth by the wickedness.

[SPEAKER_05]: They know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them.

[SPEAKER_05]: For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth of the sky through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, so they have no excuse for not knowing God.

[SPEAKER_05]: In other words, as people today, who don't know God in Christ or who didn't take the opportunity to know that relationship.

[SPEAKER_05]: Well, God like what you mean, as people sitting next to you right now, they got to Bible happening for an evening, never opening it.

[SPEAKER_05]: And don't look at your day, okay?

[SPEAKER_05]: But that's the fact, there are people with dusty labels sitting on the lips of the home right now, who don't really know Jesus.

[SPEAKER_05]: there are people all over, just like that, just like the folks in Jerusalem, who are not taken advantage of the opportunity to know Jesus.

[SPEAKER_05]: So they're cheering for the wrong reasons.

[SPEAKER_05]: And Jesus is likely frustrated as he observes his whole feet, like I said, sitting back on my dear God, already.

[SPEAKER_05]: is used in quesitively, but it's also used Pulitively, y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: And this is when you hear your parents, or your gardener, and say it.

[SPEAKER_05]: And this is when Tom matters more, right?

[SPEAKER_05]: Because we're as a brother Greg, I'm like, I'll be in you, didn't I tell you?

[SPEAKER_05]: When your parents say it, right?

[SPEAKER_05]: It's the hardest ever, Tom.

[SPEAKER_05]: Normally it's the grid of teeth.

[SPEAKER_05]: Do not do it right if they got a belt remember how to build it take the belt Yeah, for for those of them.

[SPEAKER_05]: I'll get remember Belts That would tell tell sign And I tell you you're participating So what's punitive in this situation with the Israelites?

[SPEAKER_05]: It's their failure.

[SPEAKER_05]: Their failure to recognize Jesus' identity, they didn't recognize the uniqueness of his identity, and the uniqueness of his identity was displayed in how he carried himself, which was as the son of God, as the head of a royal priesthood.

[SPEAKER_05]: And friends, as his follower, there should be a uniqueness to your character and to the features of your character.

[SPEAKER_05]: And your character should evolve as you strive to be more Christ-like and how you act, think, and behave.

[SPEAKER_05]: But they suffer as a result of failing to recognize his identity because they also feel to recognize the experiential nature.

[SPEAKER_05]: of his identity.

[SPEAKER_05]: Not like what you mean.

[SPEAKER_05]: See, it's one thing to know what Jesus is.

[SPEAKER_05]: It's the whole other thing to experience him directly for yourself.

[SPEAKER_05]: That was the problem with the crowd, y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: They knew him, they knew of him.

[SPEAKER_05]: and never experienced him.

[SPEAKER_05]: Say to God, you must experience who he is, who he is to find out who you are in him.

[SPEAKER_05]: Accepting your identity in Christ, and they would you to truly experience him in a way that allows you to see who God really is.

[SPEAKER_05]: And that allows you to most effectively work through you to accomplish his will.

[SPEAKER_05]: That's how he works through you, because you give in.

[SPEAKER_05]: can't just know the word.

[SPEAKER_05]: God, I also know the faith.

[SPEAKER_05]: And so as we close this morning, I take my seat.

[SPEAKER_05]: We can sum it up this way.

[SPEAKER_05]: So on one 18, told us what to cry.

[SPEAKER_05]: Zach Ryan nine, told us what to look for.

[SPEAKER_05]: Come Sunday, announce his arrival.

[SPEAKER_05]: And his interest in the Jerusalem is the invitation into a kingdom of salvation peace and humble glory.

[SPEAKER_05]: Now why is this all important?

[SPEAKER_05]: because Scripture tells us all about Christ's return, which could happen at any time, including during our lifetimes.

[SPEAKER_05]: Remations one, seven, behold he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him even though he碰 tears to him.

[SPEAKER_05]: And all the tribes of the earth will weigh over the count of him even so I'm in.

[SPEAKER_05]: The people that they failed to recognize that his coming was foretold.

[SPEAKER_05]: So they weren't prepared for it.

[SPEAKER_05]: We must not fail to recognize that his return is also foretold.

[SPEAKER_05]: So we cannot be unprepared for it.

[SPEAKER_05]: Don't get to the end of this age, y'all.

[SPEAKER_05]: Think as you're gonna get to heaven, you get up there like, oh, I can't wait to get you to the party.

[SPEAKER_05]: Lord, I did this, Lord, I did that.

[SPEAKER_05]: You go step to Jesus, you're gonna be like,

[SPEAKER_05]: The part from me, Edward Norton, I know you're not.

[SPEAKER_05]: You know that's punitive, because there's punishment associated with that phrase.

[SPEAKER_05]: And really, it's just his divine way of saying what you get to have it.

[SPEAKER_05]: Didn't I tell you?

[UNKNOWN]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hey man, thank God for this day, this minute, the second, this hour, I don't know.

[SPEAKER_01]: Take life for granted, I thank God for the way community church and for our pastor, Dr. Hall, and for Lady Eve.

[SPEAKER_01]: I thank God for my friends and family who are here.

[SPEAKER_01]: I see my hubby of 37 years of sin and honor.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God for all, sure for all.

[SPEAKER_01]: So let's get right to Scripture.

[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be coming from John 12, verses 12 through 16.

John 12:12–16

[SPEAKER_01]: The next day, the Lord's crowd had come to the feast.

[SPEAKER_01]: Her that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.

[SPEAKER_01]: So they took the branches of home trees and went out to meet him crying, Hosanna, blessed as he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.

[SPEAKER_01]: And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written.

[SPEAKER_01]: Finn, daughter of Zion, be whole your king is coming, sitting on a donkey's coat.

[SPEAKER_01]: His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remember that these things haven't written about him and had been done to him.

[SPEAKER_01]: For the few moments that we have together, obviously, came from the subject, are you ready to carry what God,

[SPEAKER_01]: Let us pray.

[SPEAKER_01]: Father, we thank you and give you praise for this day and for all that you have already done.

[SPEAKER_01]: We thank you, look at that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Your people have used the here with the spirit to sing into the church.

[SPEAKER_01]: We give you praise for your word and Jesus name, amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: My brothers and sisters, you have entered the moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's the one that you dreamed about, the one that you prayed and passed it about, the one you trained and started getting to the midnight hour.

[SPEAKER_01]: The one you said, God, when this door is open,

[SPEAKER_01]: And again, now that you're standing at the threshold of the promise, something inside of you, whispers, are you sure you belong here?

[SPEAKER_01]: My God.

[SPEAKER_01]: Are you too young, girl?

[SPEAKER_01]: To hold to sing this task calling.

[SPEAKER_01]: My God.

[SPEAKER_01]: What have they find out?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not who they thought I was.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's called a pastor syndrome.

[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't show up when you're feeling like you're to a single young enough, it shows up just when you finally begin to walk into a guy first.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've come this morning to deep-drawn and pastors syndrome.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because the enemy can't host a door that God has opened.

[SPEAKER_01]: But he will find a company who, that you finally have the walking through the door, but maybe you're not quite the person who should be walking that way.

[SPEAKER_01]: But here this, God did not bring you into this moment by accident.

[SPEAKER_01]: He did not miscalculate, he did not overestimate your abilities.

[SPEAKER_01]: He did not choose the wrong person.

[SPEAKER_01]: He chose you and he chose you on purpose.

[SPEAKER_01]: He chose you with all your stories.

[SPEAKER_01]: He chose you with all of your scars.

[SPEAKER_01]: He chose you with all your pleasure growth, good night in the end, you're still becoming.

[SPEAKER_01]: And they're very pleased that you felt least qualified as awesome a place for God in tears to reveal to his glory more clearly, because I'm past the central seas.

[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think you are?

[SPEAKER_01]: But God sent me here today to remind you that your kids and God has called you here not to hide, pickable, but to step into your God or dayn destiny.

[SPEAKER_01]: But what I want to write to your attention this morning is this path, this passage is absolutely about Jesus and the fulfillment of Scripture.

[SPEAKER_01]: But what I also want to see is that Jesus came, but he didn't come alone.

[SPEAKER_01]: and the work that God has set for this present age.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not for Jesus alone.

[SPEAKER_01]: So in the structures, it's said that Jesus shows up in Bethany's six days before the Passover.

[SPEAKER_01]: We know that Martha, Jesus head of the kitchen ministry, she prayed to dinner, Mary, the worshipper.

[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus took cut all and she announced Jesus, with her in here.

[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus gave us a glimpse of his character.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Word got out in the crowd.

[SPEAKER_01]: because of what Jesus had already done with Lazarus.

[SPEAKER_01]: But also that she prescan, because they wanted a big tool, not to celebrate but to plot to take out both Jesus and Lazarus because the miracle of Lazarus death had effected both their much and their influence.

[SPEAKER_01]: However, that's powerful in your dream, again, doesn't only about Jesus, there are some insights from it, I'm assuming an unexpected partner in God's plan that I would like to bring to your attention.

[SPEAKER_01]: the donkey because tough inside the moment is a perspective we rarely consider yet is carries a powerful yet clever wisdom that speaks directly to our readiness to carry what God has promised.

[SPEAKER_01]: This moment was meant the time for the donkey to now his relative view of his story to bring into question his ability But he was a time to be a town in his part in That story this is not the time for God to not use his plan in the way they got so fit But this is a time for the donkey to step up

[SPEAKER_01]: This is not the only time that guy used the donkey.

[SPEAKER_01]: Every donkey carried the wood of obedience.

[SPEAKER_01]: The hell I'm donkey saw with the perfect knot.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks some John Bung from the donkey become an unexpected instrument of victory.

[SPEAKER_01]: And in John 12 we see Zacharye's prophecy come to the light when we read.

[SPEAKER_01]: You guessed it.

[SPEAKER_01]: The donkey who is carrying the key.

[SPEAKER_01]: This donkey becomes a member for us, a quiet question from heaven.

[SPEAKER_01]: Are you truly ready to carry with God promise?

[SPEAKER_01]: Let me leave you in a few points that the donkey teaches us.

[SPEAKER_01]: We can walk confidently in our salmon being ready to carry with God promise because God has always used a combo to carry the holy things.

[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus have come on a chariot, he could have come on a G4 private plane, or Billy Yetch, John 1214, staying there, Jesus found a young donkey and he sat on it, and he strived for him free.

[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus pushed past the political and religious hierarchy of the time, and surely became Emmanuel, being God with us.

[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't come on a high horse, but Captain do the work of a servant, both in honor and in humility.

[SPEAKER_01]: I will be getting the things that you are ashamed of prepared us for our own trying for entry.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not what's on the outside that's holding us back.

[SPEAKER_01]: As an intern, a negative narrative that we have about why we're not sufficient.

[SPEAKER_01]: Who are you to deny what the Lord can do?

[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Pauline Client, a leading psychologist of the subject of the past of syndrome says, and who experience a past of syndrome have a persistent belief in their lack of intelligence, skill, and competence.

[SPEAKER_01]: They are convinced that they are frauds.

[SPEAKER_01]: Outside of what God is already done.

[SPEAKER_01]: out of your testimony of how you've seen God, time and time and give.

[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, you continue to doubt yourself.

[SPEAKER_01]: But Rome is eight learnings says, and though to he predestined, he called it, though to he called, also justified and though, but he justified, he also glorified.

[SPEAKER_01]: We can walk comfortably in our time in the

[SPEAKER_01]: I have shown us how to be looked and to let go.

[SPEAKER_01]: Before Jesus wrote the Doki, the Doki had to be looked.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some of us are carrying and praying for purpose while we are still tied to placing guards.

[SPEAKER_01]: And things that God is trying to release us from, and being an disciple who is really contributing to this president's age, we must do and be where God is and not where God was.

[SPEAKER_01]: Lastly, we will comfortably lay in our Simon of being ready to carry with God power because ultimately, the life of the disciples to show people the way to life would be.

[SPEAKER_01]: because when God uses a junkie, the junkie doesn't become great, the key becomes visible.

[SPEAKER_01]: My brothers and sisters, before we leave this moment, I need you to hear me in the spirit.

[SPEAKER_01]: You are standing in the same tension as that junkie stood in, chosen but not celebrated.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, but not full on this.

[SPEAKER_01]: A decision but still what you think?

[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_01]: And yet, God still has need of you.

[SPEAKER_01]: The dunker didn't volunteer.

[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't campaign for his role.

[SPEAKER_01]: The dunker didn't audition for greatness.

[SPEAKER_01]: The dunker was simply available when the kids say, no shout.

[SPEAKER_01]: I have a purpose for that one.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I hear this very saying over this house.

[SPEAKER_01]: God has pushed you from every place that told you that you are not enough.

[SPEAKER_01]: God has pushed you from every voice they've tried to shoot you.

[SPEAKER_01]: God has pushed you from every life that made you doubt that God sent you to this place.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because the problem is you're about to kill you.

[SPEAKER_01]: that like it is our day.

[SPEAKER_01]: The summit you're stepping into is not small.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's yours.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the way you feel is not a sign of inadequacy.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is the evident that glory is resting on you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just like that, don't you?

[SPEAKER_01]: You mean that feel qualified, but you are chosen?

[SPEAKER_01]: You mean that feel impressive?

[SPEAKER_03]: As you've heard today, Jesus has made his entry into Jerusalem, writing on a donkey.

[SPEAKER_03]: with crowds from all around laying palm branches and garments, shouting praises and celebrating the fact that the king has arrived.

[SPEAKER_03]: I can't deny that the story bears strong resemblance to one found in the Old Testament in song, song number 24, chapter up, sorry, verse 7 through 10.

[SPEAKER_03]: It says, if W. Hayes or E. Gates,

[SPEAKER_03]: Be you lift up the everlasting doors in the kingdom glory, shall come in.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who is this kingdom glory, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty, and battle, lift up your heads, all ye gates, even lift them up, ye everlasting doors in the kingdom glory, shall come in.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who is this kingdom glory, the Lord of hosts?

[SPEAKER_03]: He is the kingdom glory, Cilla.

[SPEAKER_03]: If I may very quickly, I'd like to talk from this thought,

[SPEAKER_03]: This feels like deja vu, this feels like deja vu.

[SPEAKER_03]: I came to submit to you today that before Beyonce sworn that was deja vu.

[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody reminded me this morning, before Tina Marie said it was deja vu.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's before some of y'all tag.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?

[SPEAKER_03]: Songs that I've always heard, but never fully knew or understood the words like Anita Baker.

[SPEAKER_03]: When I was a child, I couldn't stand here at Anita Baker, because I didn't like all that white.

[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't understand.

[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't understand it.

[SPEAKER_03]: But now in my groan age, you put on some Anita Baker, and we got a party.

[SPEAKER_03]: There are some movies and some television shows that I watch it a child that have different meanings now that I watch them as an adult.

[SPEAKER_03]: Even some of my everyday practices and actions or methods of operation that I've picked up simply out of the way I saw my parents and my grandparents and old relatives do.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not making intentional efforts to gain better understanding of what they all mean.

[SPEAKER_03]: Like,

[SPEAKER_03]: What really is, deja vu, sounds like something they came up with in New Orleans, but I digress.

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't have much time, but in a nutshell, deja vu is a French term that means already seen.

[SPEAKER_03]: So with that understanding, with that in mind, I think it's appropel to consider the triumphant entry of Jesus in John 12 and Psalm 24, 7, to 10 as seemingly invoking a sense of deja vu as the passage in Psalms relates to the triumphant entry if you will of the ark of the covenant.

[SPEAKER_03]: For those who may be undefeated for familiar in the Old Testament, the Ark of the Covenant was a sacred gold-covered wooden chest built by ancient Israelites to house to tin commandments.

[SPEAKER_03]: It was constructed in the most direction in the Ark represented the presence of God.

[SPEAKER_03]: Prior to Psalm 24, the art had been a way for many years, once captured by the Philistines, it was returned in first Samuel and landed in the home of a man by the name of Abina Dan.

[SPEAKER_03]: David and Sam in Second Samuel chapter six was excited to gather a bunch of men to help him now transport the ark from a village house, finally to Jerusalem.

[SPEAKER_03]: They set the ark on a new cart and a village son drove the cart towards Jerusalem.

[SPEAKER_03]: David and his men played instruments and celebrated the transporting of the ark and a village son would find out the hardly that you don't play with God.

[SPEAKER_03]: because the arc was sacred, and anyone who mishandled it would fall dead at the place where it was disrespected.

[SPEAKER_03]: Someone similar to I made the connection last week, and you heard Mr. Adrian today talk about a black parent.

[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like in this moment, God was like a black parent.

[SPEAKER_03]: He said, he said, where ever you show out, is where I'm going to get you.

[SPEAKER_03]: Did not tell you?

[SPEAKER_03]: I could hear, I said, I told you, don't touch the ark like that, didn't I tell you?

[SPEAKER_03]: So I've been a dad, son, mishandles the ark, and he falls dead, and David gets spooked, he's like, I know you like, he's like, if he mishandled it and falls dead, who am I?

[SPEAKER_03]: that I would be able to handle the arc of the covenant.

[SPEAKER_03]: So they could get spooked.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so what they do is alone the way they decide to the digging park, and they're going to drop off the arc in the home with another man by the name of Obeditum.

[SPEAKER_03]: David says, let me see what happens to him with it in his house.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's going to turn right about the side to take it any further.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's something different happens.

[SPEAKER_03]: The arc remains in Obed-Edom's house for three months, and Obed-Edom's house becomes blessed, having the arc under his roof and kiss.

[SPEAKER_03]: So David comes back and he picks up the arc and he says, okay, I see now how a handle it.

[SPEAKER_03]: So let me take it to Jerusalem with gladness.

[SPEAKER_03]: David makes some sacrifices and he begins to dance before the Lord, with all his might, and all the people shouted in dance and played trumpets and rejoiced all the way to Jerusalem as the Ark entered the city on a cart.

[SPEAKER_03]: Sounds for me.

[SPEAKER_03]: So second Samuel, we see the story and totality of the transporting of the Ark into Jerusalem.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's more and all of you.

[SPEAKER_03]: that shares the fact that David danced and he and his people saying praises to God.

[SPEAKER_03]: We keep going and we make a pit stop somewhere around first Chronicles chapter 15.

[SPEAKER_03]: It tells the same story, but it goes into a little more depth that has a little more detail.

[SPEAKER_03]: It talks about how David conquers the Japanese side stronghold.

[SPEAKER_03]: claims the land as the city of David.

[SPEAKER_03]: He makes a place for the Ark of the Covenant and first Chronicles details exactly who and which Levi's David chose and appointed to see and play in Canada Ark into the city.

[SPEAKER_03]: Now we find ourselves at Psalm 24.

[SPEAKER_03]: This is David's account, all the same story.

[SPEAKER_03]: Each time going a little further into detail with Psalm 24, David tells his own story from his own perspective.

[SPEAKER_03]: So he doesn't just state the fact that he's saying praise to God.

[SPEAKER_03]: He actually recites the lyrics of the song that he sang while linking the triumphal entry of the art into the city.

[SPEAKER_03]: He says the art was captured by the Philistines and Return.

[SPEAKER_03]: The ark was with a banana at his house.

[SPEAKER_03]: We went and got it and a banana at his son.

[SPEAKER_03]: Miss Henler, that he died.

[SPEAKER_03]: I got spooked.

[SPEAKER_03]: He'd so he dropped it off and opened Eden's house.

[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, bet Eden's house was blessed.

[SPEAKER_03]: So we went back and we got it again.

[SPEAKER_03]: I sacrificed the ox and the fatlinks.

[SPEAKER_03]: I danced before the load with all my money.

[SPEAKER_03]: I swed it out my good linen.

[SPEAKER_03]: I went and I conquered a whole stronghold.

[SPEAKER_03]: Reveamed the land after myself.

[SPEAKER_03]: and made a special place for the art.

[SPEAKER_03]: I pointed only the best singers on one of the best musicians to carry the art.

[SPEAKER_03]: We sang and played our best hymns and we're in our repertoire.

[SPEAKER_03]: And now that we've made it to the city with the art, lift up your hands.

[SPEAKER_03]: or he can't be lifted up here the last thing knows and the King of Glory shall come in.

[SPEAKER_03]: David wasn't talking about their physical heads.

[SPEAKER_03]: He was talking about the heads of the gates of the city.

[SPEAKER_03]: He says, lift up your heads or he gates.

[SPEAKER_03]: Be lifted up here of a lasting doors and the King of Glory shall come in who is this King of Glory the Lord strong and mighty the Lord mighty and battle lift up your heads O ye Gaiton even be lifted up here of a lasting doors and the King of Glory shall come in who is this King of Glory the Lord of hosts he is the King of Glory Say ah Now here's the day of shuffle

[SPEAKER_03]: In Matthew, Mark and John, which are in a new testament, the crowds are gathered.

[SPEAKER_03]: The palms and the garments are thrown down in the streets.

[SPEAKER_03]: The worshipers are out front.

[SPEAKER_03]: They are celebrating their rejoicing, their shout-in-home, Santa, to the Son of David.

[SPEAKER_03]: Blessed is he that come up in the name of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_03]: And Jesus is riding in on the donkey.

[SPEAKER_03]: in Psalm 24, which is an Old Testament.

[SPEAKER_03]: The crowds are gathered, the singers are appointed with the instruments and the tambourines.

[SPEAKER_03]: They're in their final and their singing and they're dancing and some arc of the covenant makes his way into the city on a cot.

[SPEAKER_03]: But here's where all comes together.

[SPEAKER_03]: God in the Old Testament had no physical being.

[SPEAKER_03]: He saw his presence was honored in what would be referenced as the ark of the covenant right into Jerusalem on a cart and call the King of glory.

[SPEAKER_03]: God and the New Testament has a physical being.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's wrapped in flesh.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's called Jesus the Christ.

[SPEAKER_03]: The Son of that living God, who would be celebrated in reference while riding it to the same city on a donkey.

[SPEAKER_03]: And he's called the Kingdom Kings and the Lord of Laws.

[SPEAKER_03]: So if I had to be perfectly honest with you, I've always titled this sermon, like Father Langson.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because Jesus said the same way my daddy's presence came right again on a car He's the same way I'm gonna come right again on a donkey and can I tell you the thing that we can all celebrate today In 2020 6 I said can I tell you what we can all celebrate today in 2020 6 the word in the laws is where two or three are gathered in this name

[SPEAKER_03]: That he shall be in the midst, I said, where two of we are gathered in his name, that he shall be in the midst, so in a nutshell, left up your heads, all he gets, and be you lifted up here, a lasso nose, and the King of Glory shall come in.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who is this king of glory?

[SPEAKER_03]: The Lord shone and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle Lift up your heads, O ye gates of evil of evil and the last single of us and the king of the Always shall come in.

[SPEAKER_03]: Who is this king of glory?

[SPEAKER_03]: The Lord God shone and mighty, the Lord God mighty in battle He is the king of glory.

[SPEAKER_03]: I got one

[SPEAKER_03]: question for you.

[SPEAKER_03]: All I want to know is this.

[SPEAKER_03]: What would you do if the King came in the room?

[SPEAKER_03]: How would you celebrate?

[SPEAKER_03]: How would you show how much you feel about him?

[SPEAKER_03]: How much praise about him?

[SPEAKER_03]: I want you to act like the King of Glory is coming in.

[SPEAKER_03]: I want you to all the gatekeepers.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just open up the doors.

[SPEAKER_03]: Open up the doors.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, in case, I've been lifted up.

[SPEAKER_04]: Here are the singing laws, have the King of Glory.

[SPEAKER_04]: Show, come in, who is the King of Glory?

[SPEAKER_04]: The Lord God, all in mighty, the Lord God, mighty in battle.

[SPEAKER_04]: Here's the King of Glory, lift up your hands.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, in us, and we lifted up the King of Glory.
