29 June 2025: Living in Victory over Sin (Bruce McAlpine)

Welcome to the podcast of the White Church in Adelaide, South

Australia. Well, it certainly has been a

wonderful weekend. I absolutely love spending time

with you guys as a church, with the Evers and with the Pounders

and Dudley and Anne and Leon and Pat on Friday morning are really

good and I'm really excited for this morning.

I believe that God has got an appointment with us.

Amen. Is that PowerPoint up with

anybody? Can you put it on for us?

So I really believe this with all of my heart that you as a

local church that this is what God is doing is building a

strong home based church, which is a community of love to reach

the nations with of the earth with the gospel of the Kingdom.

And then that's what God wants to see take place.

You are building a strong home based church, which is a

community of love to reach the nation's review with the gospel

of the Kingdom. You know, the Bible says in one

Corinthians 13, you can, you can sing in the tongues of angels.

You can you can have faith that moves mountains.

If you have not love, you are nothing, you gain nothing.

And then you will know that they will know that you're my

disciples by your loved one for another.

And Myra said that to me. She says, you know, in this

community, there's a love, There's a love for one another.

There's a love for God, There's a love for people.

And God wants to form that, develop that, expand that and

grow that. I mean, and a line, a line to

draw you together, the chords of love that cannot be broken.

But go to the next slide, please.

For those of you who don't know. Yeah, this is a photograph, not

a very good one, but it's from Santa Marta in Colombia in South

America, which is where Maya and I do spend quite a bit of time.

And it's an island just off the coast.

And this is a lighthouse on the top of it, you know?

And you know, God has called it the church.

We are the light of the world, Amen.

But he also says in Matthew chapter 16, that too, Peter

Matthew 16 · chapter mention

says, on this rock, I will build my church.

And that rock is the revelation of who Jesus is and what Jesus

has done, Amen. He's the foundation of our

lives. And what I love about this

picture is the enormity and the immensity of this rock in

comparison to this small little light.

You know, that rock goes, it goes all the way down, right

down into the bedrock of the ocean.

That rock's not floating and, and that's the same as Christ

Jesus in comparison to us. You know, he's got no beginning

of days, no end of days. He he was he is he is to come

and then he split the world into existence and then and and we

need to have that that vision of Christ.

And so everything rises or falls on leadership.

Am I right And one of the things that I love about this church is

that God is assembling a wonderful bunch of leaders great

couples. We had, we had, we had lunch

with Dan and Chatella after yesterday.

And God is blessing you with some incredibly called gifted

and anointed men and women. And obviously we've got men and

women that have run the race and that are still running the race,

you know, in your midst as well. And I really believe that God

is, is forming an embryonic community of, of older

generation of people that can impart to a new generation that

can run with what God has got for it.

And I want to say this to you guys, the biggest need in the

world today is leadership, Leadership that is not afraid of

man, Amen. And that is only living in the

fear of the Lord, Amen. It wants to please him and him

alone. You know, I'm just thinking as

it came to you, as I said, that Jesus is the rock of offence.

Yes, Jesus is the rock of offence.

OK, the Bible says this. Whoever falls on that rock, rock

will be broken. But whoever who that rock falls

on will be crushed. OK?

So this morning on the way up, I picked up this rock close to

David's house there, right? And so, I mean, if I threw you

with this rock, it's going to crush you, am I right?

OK, I threw you with this. I threw it at you, you know.

But think when you come into contact with Jesus, change is a

foregone conclusion. Either you're going to see who

he is, you're going to fall on that rock.

You're going to lie him to break you and then put you back

together and he's going to break your flesh.

He's going to break the fallen sinful nature inside of you and

he's going to form himself in you or one day this rock is

going to crush you and annihilate you.

As I I think it's 40. I don't know where to get the

reference against, not in my notes, but just how he's

prompting it says this. I swear a word before me that

will never be revoked is the Lord.

One day every knee will bow. Every time we'll confess that in

the Lord alone, our salvation and strength and glory and

honor. There's not one person that's

going to stand before Jesus the rock and stick their finger in

his nose and say you're unfair, you're unjust, I don't deserve

this. We're going to see him.

We're going to see the Gracie extended to us, the Lovely

extended to us. You know, I did the military

training in back in South Africa.

And I want to tell you one thing.

There's no atheist on the battlefield.

There's no atheist on the battlefield.

And the truth is, when we speak to most people in a crisis in

their life, even atheists, I remember this one guy was

telling the story. He was debating this atheist on

a radio show, and the guy asked him to give the full name for

Darwin's book on evolution because it's got a special name.

So that atheist goes, oh, my God, what is it?

And then he says, you see, even atheists call out for God when

they need help. Yeah.

Oh, my God. What is it?

Are you with me? OK, It's, it's We're going to

see that. And we're going to see how we

called on God in our deepest time of need.

And he answered and we carried on and nodded.

The point of all of that is Jesus is the rock of offence.

He's going to offend you and he's going to offend the world.

And as a leadership team, don't even try not to offend people.

You gonna understand this. It's a foregone conclusion that

you're going to offend the world.

If you were sinless perfection, you would still offend Him.

Do you know why I can say that Jesus was the most holy, perfect

and pure man that ever existed without sin.

And they're so offended with Him.

They crucified him and sent Him to the cross.

Now don't try and be offensive and let not your mannerisms be

offensive. But if it's going to come to the

Word of God and it's truth about Jesus and Him, the rock of

offense, don't pull your punches.

Are you with me? But that means we need good,

strong leadership. All right, next slide, then

please, champion. Next one, just just keep on

hearing it. So I want to give you 4 pillars.

If you're going to be a base church, if you're going to just

hit the whole thing, my man, if you're going to be a base church

that's going to impact a community of love, that's going

to impact the nations for Jesus, there's 4 things you need.

Just hit it again. That's the 11.

Can you see what's happening there?

OK, I'm going to come back to that in a moment.

But you need to have a vision of Jesus.

That's what I'm trying to do this weekend.

I'm trying to establish and give you the foundation of Christ,

our rock. I mean, so you need a vision of

Jesus. You need a vision of God, of the

Holy Spirit of the Father, and the vision of eternity.

Remember the real and the really real we've spoken about.

Secondly, you need to realize that everything that we do on

earth is supposed to be done in team.

The revelation of God Himself to us is that of a Father, Son and

Holy Spirit. 3 in one, am I right?

Have you noticed that almost of all of life works in trinities,

the 1st and most basic team that God created on earth was man and

woman, husband and wife, and then he said to be fruitful,

increase and multiply. A family is made-up of a

Trinity, Husband, wife, children.

It's a Trinity in a local church.

We have elders, deacons and the priesthood of all believers.

It's a Trinity team is absolutely essential for you to

reach the nations. You're building a team so that

when you travel, this just continue to carry on families of

team, yes. So you need to have team.

All these little triangles that make up that big triangle

represents each one of you and each one of you are a priest in

this church. And we'll get that in a moment,

right? It's a triangle on its side

because the way we impart the vision and we work in team is

through covenantal relationships.

And I spoke about that you last year.

Do you remember the four things that I said that covenantal

relationships are committed, submitted, serving, and

preserving? And then we're going to look at

that in a little bit greater detail.

And then covenantal relationships lead into

discipleship. Discipleship naturally flows out

of covenant, teamwork and vision.

Amen. Discipleship flows out of

intimacy and covenant relationship.

Or intimate ones deeply committed to one another,

submitted to God, submitted to one another, caring for one

another and preserving. Preserving means there's going

to be a need to forgive. If you've been married for 5

minutes, then you know there's going to be a need to forgive,

am I right? OK, you need to forgive one

another. The way you preserve the

relationship is you extend forgiveness.

OK. Are you happy with that?

There's a little picture. What we need, what is most

needed, secondly, after good, strong leadership, is a good,

strong, secure priesthood, the priesthood of all believers.

And we looked at that yesterday. Amen.

Jesus, our high priest and New Testament King of kings, us, his

New Testament priest and Kingdom agents on earth.

We are ambassadors for the King and his Kingdom, Amen.

We minister to him, we minister to ourselves, we minister to

sinners, and we minister to the Saints.

Next one they study. Now this is a pro, this is the

journey. We're all on the journey, Amen.

The Bible says you have been born, you have been born again

of imperishable seed, Amen. If you have faith like a mustard

seed, it doesn't matter because it will grow to become a huge

tree that fills the whole earth. And then and so we're in this

progression to grow and be rooted and established in Jesus

and become these strong, secure and mature trees.

If you have your Bibles, maybe someone can turn there for me.

Someone can read for me Revelations chapter 5 verses 9

Revelation 5:9

and 10? And they sing a new song,

saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and open the seals,

because you were slain. And with your blood you purchase

to God persons from every God and nation and language and

people. You have made them a Kingdom of

priests to serve our God, and they will reign.

On the earth, who are you? Because of who Jesus is, Jesus

is our Savior. He purchased us with his blood.

He's the King of kings. He's the perfect sacrifice for

our sins. He's the high priest that

offered himself and says that he purchased us men from every

tribe, kind of language and nation to be what?

A Kingdom of priests to serve our God and reign on this earth.

My friend, God doesn't want you to apologize for existing.

God doesn't want you just to survive.

God wants you to thrive. He wants you to rule.

He wants you to reign. He wants you to have dominion

over the earth and exercise authority over it.

Well, this is amazing my friends.

I don't know about you, but I don't just want to be, I want

you to love. Jesus said I've come that you

might have life and life abundantly, my friends, Amen.

And so let's understand this, my friends, we are the priesthood.

We are the priest kings to rule on this earth and to reign on

this earth. Now let me just go back to that

picture of the priesthood, please.

But you know what I've discovered as I've LED church?

I've been leading Lighthouse for 23 years.

There's a couple in our church that joined us about two years

ago. She has got an incredible

gifting and anointing and he's an incredible man with a

wonderful call of God in his life.

And I met him and he said to me, don't consider me for

leadership. I'm not interested.

And this bothered me, and this puzzled me because I can see

leadership on him and I can see it on his wife.

Anyway, I've started to work with the guy, discipling, only

to discover that the guy is struggling with some sins.

And because he's struggling with sin, he feels disqualified, he

feels unworthy, and he's taking himself out of the race.

How sad is that? And then and he's been saved for

20 years, 30 years. He's not a new believer, but his

struggle against sin is stopping him from being the priest that

called called him to be and to walk into the destiny that God

has got in his life. Isn't it make me so angry, not

with him, but with the devil because in that verse where

Jesus says I've come into my love life and love abundance

starts with this thief comes to what rob, steal, kill and

destroy. Are you with me?

And I've seen that. I've seen that I've been

posturing for all of these years and I see how what's wrong?

Why are you laughing? What am I doing?

I'm playing with my coins. OK, Take it out.

The posture. I see how that happens.

Now. I want to help you today.

I want to help you today. Please, Jesus help us.

I want to show you how God won wants to forgive you of your

sin, how God wants to heal you of your sin, and how God wants

you to live to live in victory over sin.

It's good. Do you believe?

Do you believe that you can live in victory over sin where sin is

not your master? I want you to think about it

carefully because I'll be honest with you, my friends.

I reckon most Christians believe in the forgiveness of sin.

Hardly any of them have faith to live in complete victory over

sin. If we're honest, we believe it

impossible, but I believe it's not impossible.

I can do all things through Christ You strengthens US1 Peter

2 says. His divine power has given us

everything for life and godliness through our knowledge

of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.

And then through Him we've got these very great and precious

promises. By then we will escape the

corruption that is caused in this rule by evil desires.

I want to escape my friends. I want to live in victory over

some. Yes.

All right, so you got that four verse six and seven, Dave.

Yes. So the Lord said to Kane, why

are you angry? Why is your countenance for if

you do well, will you not be accepted?

If you do not do well, sin lies at the door, and it's desire is

for you. But you should go over it if you

do what is right. If you not do what is right, sin

is crouching at your door. It desires to have you.

But listen to this. You, Johnny, must master it.

Isn't that amazing, my friends? God wants you to do what?

He wants you to master sin. The context is Genesis 4, which

is just after Genesis 3, which is the fall of mankind.

God's plan for man to rule and reign on earth from Genesis 1

and 2 did not change because of the fall.

He still says to Adam there it's what you came and Abel, you must

what? What must you do?

Master sin, master sin, you must master sin.

Isn't that amazing? OK, we've got Romans 4614, Mira.

Sin is no longer your master or you are no longer subject to the

law, which instead you to sin. Instead, you are free by God's

grace, for sin shall not be your master, because you're not under

the law, but you are under grace.

Isn't that amazing? Who's got my mate Black?

You've got Hebrews. Hebrews 12 hey.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud

of witness, let us throw off everything that hinders and the

sin that is so easily entangled, and let us run with perseverance

the race marked out for us. Isn't that amazing?

Hey, what must you do? There's my mate's jacket.

Sin is like a jacket, right? And what does the Bible say?

Cost it off and then throw it off.

Get rid of it. You know the Bible says your

sinful nature. A gross circumcised picture of a

foreskin. Cut it off, cut it off,

circumcise it and then throw it away.

How do you do that? Verse 2.

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of faith.

But the joy is set before him. He endured the cross scoring.

It's shame. Scorning.

It's shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of.

God, carry on. Consider him who endured such

opposition for sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose

heart. Isn't that amazing?

Hey, Jesus, my friends, Jesus is a victorious champion.

And what are we to do, Blake? Fix ours on him.

Why? Because he is the champion, he

is victorious over sin. And then yesterday we were I was

doing some things with the church here and we looked at the

seven foundations of Jesus life and we said that that his spirit

and conception was important, right.

And then we said his life was important.

And why is Jesus life important? What does Jesus life do for us?

Let me tell you, the life of Jesus shows us this one thing.

It was 100% possible for a man to live in this world, in this

fallen world, in the sinful world, in victory over sin.

Did Jesus once sin? Never once.

And was he victorious over sin? Yes.

The Bible says he disarmed and defeated.

Now think about that. Think about that.

Satan has just been defeated and disarmed.

What happens if your enemy is defeated and disarmed?

He's got no feet and he's got no arms if you do nothing, am I

right? But you know, most of us, we

don't see Satan like that because our view of Satan isn't

a bigger than our view of Jesus. But Jesus, my friends, he's a

victorious champion. He disarmed and he defeated

Satan and you are a victorious concrete in him.

But you've got to see it. And I promise you now, my

friends, there is a, there is a real war for the battle of your

mind because if you believe it, you can live in it.

But if you don't believe it, you can't live in it.

Lord in Jesus name I praise. I continue speaking today that

you release faith in this room. I pray today that shackles would

be broken. In Jesus name I pray that your

Kingdom would come and that your will be done.

Lord, I take authority of every vain thought, every imagination

and every lie of the devil that tells people that can't break

free. I pray that into the foundations

of this church this morning, faith to live in victory over

sin would be released in Jesus name.

Holy Spirit, come and lead us into the truth of the scripture.

We pray in Jesus name, Amen. I've got some props here today,

right? OK, wait, let's do this.

I'm going to just quickly show you this illustration because

it's powerful illustration. So the makeup of of this local

church and my local church back home.

Let's use my church as an example, OK?

We've got about 400 with kids in the community.

We've got 6 eldership couples. OK, so what's six 6 * 2 because

of my mad ones, 1212 eldership people, another man of the

elders. But we've got 50 deacons.

OK, so that's what, 62? And then we brought, we brought

I'd say 340 something priests. Amen.

OK. And I would guess that's most

probably the rough proportions of most churches around the

world when you say that's true, right?

Small amounts of leaders in terms of elders, 10% deacons in

the bulk of the church are priests and the world leaders.

I want to show you what the Satan did.

Most churches around the world where I've travelled, this is

what he did. He came to the priest and he

said, you know what, you are too stupid to be priests.

You can't be priests. And he just said, you know what,

you need to shut up and listen. You need to come to church and

you need to spectate. You need to come to church to

consume. And he just did that.

And then you know what he had to contend with?

He had to contend with about 85% of the church.

Sorry, only 15% of the church. You neutralize God's army and

now all he has to deal with is that much.

What can that much do? Not a lot.

But true Apostolic Christianity wants to bring us back to the

Apostolic prophetic model of church, a New Testament church

where every single priest, every single Deacon, every single

elder is a Saint of God Most High.

And then you never, ever graduate from being a St.

You live in victory overson. And now God has got an awesome

army and it's got capacity for way more ministry than just and

into the foundation of this church.

I want to ask you, are you going to be a consumer church or are

you going to be a church with a priesthood or enlisted?

And they're involved in the army and they're doing what God

called him to do. Now, if you're going to be that

kind of church, then you've got to have this teaching of how to

live in picturing of a sin as foundational.

Are you with me so far? OK, wonderful.

So let's have a look at this Now.

Maybe someone can turn to Genesis 27.

Anyone. Does someone do it?

The Bible says there. Genesis 27.

Donnie, you got it. No, Bianca.

Genesis 27 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of

the ground. OK, dust of the ground gave you

a body, am I right? Yes.

Into his nostrils, the breath of life.

That's the Spirit of God coming into Adam.

And the man became a living, a living being in the nutrient.

And this is a living soul. OK, So we had a body.

God gave him a soul, Your mind, will and emotions, right?

And then he breathed the breath of God and then God.

Then God gave him the spirit. And so there was man.

What is soul and spirit? Amen.

OK. But then as like we heard

yesterday, something happened. I'm going to have to take this

covering off that something happened certainly into the

world, am I right? OK, When you eat of the tree of

the knowledge of good and evil, you will surely come.

Hold this for me, please. All right, You will surely die.

And what happened in that moment when we looked at this in depth,

there's a but God who mankind who was sinlessly perfect on his

own spirit. His spiritual condition to God

was broken and he got connected to Satan and now who was his

covering? Who was his head?

Satan. So his spirit was not connected

and and was in darkness, his soul oops his mind, his mind

became affected, his emotions became affected and his world

became affected and his body, the natural desires, food, sex,

need for money, need for all became corrupted life.

And now we have man in this simple full estate.

OK, and that's where we find ourselves, am I right?

But now what does God do? How do you enter the Kingdom in

heaven? What does love say?

I said the truth on this. OK, so when they died, what part

of them died? Their spirit, This part.

So this part died and it became connected to Satan.

Their bodies were corrupted and their souls were tainted.

Now what happens when you get born again?

Hey, if any man here in Christ sees that the oldest so Wolfson

and the new comes and you are clothed with Christ and

instantaneous you're what you are born again instantaneous

you're transferred from the Kingdom of darkness.

You transferred from being under this Kingdom into this Kingdom.

And then, but what's the problem?

When you look under the hood? It's ugly because what happens,

although your spirit is instantaneously transformed and

renewed, is your mind instantaneously renewed?

Is your will instantaneously renewed?

Is your emotions in instantaneously renewed?

Is your body? No.

So what must God do? He must start a process of

sanctification. When he starts to do what he

starts to take the truth of the Word of God and he starts to

take the, the, the the Spirit of God and he starts to what he

starts to point into your life. He starts to transform your

body, soul and spirit and he starts to conform you into Jesus

and there's a lightness. Amen.

The problem is though, you've got a choice.

You can search in the spirit and from the spirit life or you.

Now remember this, your spirit, your spirit is always covered.

You're a new crush, am I right? I just can't pour the water in

there. The spirit's there.

You're covered, right? But I can't use the

illustration. But what happens sometimes is

you make the wrong choice. You look at the wrong thing.

You read it now you're in the struggle.

You're in the struggle between what?

You're in the struggle between. See, I have another bottle.

You see, you're worried, you're in the struggle between this

flesh and this represents the flesh, the world, Satan, the

demonic and sin, or the spirit, the Bible, the church, and the

Kingdom of God. What are you going to?

Who are you going to serve? Who are you going to choose to

follow? And I'm contending today that

you can get to the place where you're not just forgiven of sin,

you not just heal from sins, but where you live victorious.

And then you want to learn how to do that.

Come on. We've got to do that now.

OK. I hope that's a helpful

illustration. Because, you know, honestly,

what happens is I've heard a lot of people, there's another,

there's another cough somewhere. Honestly, I've heard a lot of

people. They get born again, Johnny,

they get born again and they haven't experienced.

But what happens to this? You know, it's like honeymoon.

When you first get saved, you almost start struggling with

anything. But then a couple of months

later, then your world kicks in, then your mind kicks in, then

your emotions kick in. Then you start to have the

struggle. And then you let people say it

wasn't real. I'm not a good person.

I didn't get saved because they don't understand that the

spirits is born again. They need to transform their

minds, they need to transform their emotions.

They need to sanctify themselves.

All right, They get confused. Am I safe?

Am I not safe? Am I Christian?

Am I not a Christian? Now?

I love what you read it. Like I said, even you struggle

against them. Do not use heart.

Do not go worry. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

Amen. Someone was going to read

Matthew 120 verse 21. I want to listen to this.

But after he had considered this, an Angel of the Lord

appeared to him in a dream, and said, Moses, son of David, do

not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what she

is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

Amen and. She'll give birth to a son, and

you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his

people from their sins. He will save his people from

their sins. You see, my friends, Jesus was

the third person that in his body, soul and spirit was

perfectly sinless. Adam and Eve were created like

that, but they fell. Jesus comes as the third person,

perfectly sinless, body, soul and spirit and he's and the

Angel promises. That's why the virgin birth is

important, because the Angel promises to Joseph he will save

people from Listen and I'll ask you the question is that what's

the difference between salvation from sin and forgiveness of sin?

Forgiveness of sin is. If you have sin and Jesus.

Gives us forgiveness. Amen.

Yes, and. Then sickness forgiveness.

Salvation from sin. Salvation from sin would be

walking in that space that we'd be talking about, where we don't

have to constantly have a cycle of repainting, Yeah.

So thanks, victory overson. Yes, that's right, read this.

This is John the Baptist. Next day John saw Jesus coming

toward him and said, Behold the Lamb of God, He.

Takes away the. Sin of God whoa, takes it away.

Not just forgiving sin, What does he do with sin?

Takes it away. He dishonoured into defeat His

takes him. Amen.

Listen to this. Jesus did not just come to

forgive sin, but to set us free from sin.

He did not just come to doubtful forgiveness of sin.

He came to set us from our sins. In other words, He came to set

us free from sin and its control over us.

Since pollution of us, since poisoning of us, since presence

in us, since imprisonment of us, since pleasure in our fleshes,

since power over us, since tendency in us, The punishment

due to us because of sin and the penalty hanging over us.

Jesus deals with it all. Isn't that amazing?

Romish Chapter 8 first 2014 Therefore, brothers, we have no

obligation, say no obligation, no obligation to the simple

nature, but we have an not to. We have an obligation, but it is

not to the simple nature to live according to it.

For if you live in court, the simple nature, you will die.

But if by the Spirit you put to death the mistakes of the body,

you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are

the sons of God. Remember the two things, You got

an option. You can live to the flesh, but

you've got no obligation to it. Or you can live by the Spirit.

And if you live by the Spirit, you will live.

And you can buy the Spirit put to death to flesh.

And then are you with that? OK, now what's up?

1 John 381 John 3/8 He does what is simple is of the devil

because the devil has been sinning from the beginning.

The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the work

of the dead and the God of peace will soon crush Satan and your

feet to Romans. All right, why was the reason

that Jesus appeared to destroy the works of the devil in your

life? All right, so go back to this

thing, the picture of the plant, OK?

It's a progression. There's a progression this.

I'm going to read this to you. One, John 2, verse 12 to 14.

John 2:12–14

OK, so in John 1 two verse 12 to 14, he mentions children, young

men, fathers. OK, he mentions them both twice

and for the sake of the teaching, I'm going to jump

around in the Scripture. So in one John 2 verse 12, it

John 2:12

says I write you to your children.

Why? Because your sins have been

forgiven on account of his name. On what basis us since forgiven

Jesus on the account of what Jesus did for us, who he is and

what he did for us. Amen. 13 BB means the second

offer, verse 13. I write you to your children

because you have known that Father.

Now I want you to understand this when you're a baby Christ

in Christ as the people get saved, that there are two vital

things that you as a leadership team must work on getting the

children to understand. What is it?

One, they have been forgiven of their sins because of Jesus's

work on their behalf. That's the seven foundations we

looked at. Salvation is not of work that

any man should boast. It is that the kiss of God,

who's God there? It's the gift of the Father and

they so that's the first thing we must know that Jesus's work

on their behalf to forgive them of their sins.

And then I want to ask you this question.

Remember, you were bought at a price, the precious blood of

children's identity rather than you say you got a mistake, your

behaviour was not good. I love you, but I don't like

what you're doing right now. You separate the identity and

behaviour. We talk about the forgiveness of

OK, so writing to children because you're forgiven on

account of his name and you've known the Father first level of

Christianity, this level up here, this is this.

Because you are strong. The word of God lives in you,

have known humans from the beginning.

I rush you, Father, because you have known him from the

beginning. That's interesting for me there.

I'm asking your children, because you've known the Father,

what's the difference between the Father and the one who is

from the beginning? This is my take on it.

When you are the Father, like the only the family, you know

God is sovereign, God is supreme, God is omnipresent.

God is omnipresent. God is, he is large and he is in

anything like that. God is not sitting on his throne

There is no scheme of hell or plan of man that will stand

against the one who is. From the beginning.

He planned it all. He's planned the salvation

started before the world exists and it will continue after the

world is finished. And that when you're a father in

the faith, you have an immovable, unshakable faith in

the Word of God, in the Son of God, in the Spirit of God and in

God the Father, and nothing moves you.

That's what is to be a Father in faith.

Now of course you have to talk about ladies as well.

Now the last couple of minutes here, I'm going to ask you this

question. You know that there's 3 words

for sin, just like there's a couple of words for love.

There's a friendship love. There's a covenant for love.

Sin, transgressions and iniquity.

Sin is you made a mistake, you fell and you sin.

You can live in a cycle of sin. Forgive, sin forgive.

How are you transgressing by this repetitive transgression?

For sin you need forgiveness. For transgression, you need to

hear then iniquity. Now iniquity is a little bit

deeper than sin transgression. Iniquity means generational sin,

generational things that attack you the same count.

And they're just you see in families, gambling, alcohol,

lust, there's just some families just to see the cycle of

iniquity. And for that iniquity you need

to live in victory. You with me.

So now how do we receive forgiveness from the Father?

How do you receive forgiveness of your sins?

Not a trick question, it's very simple.

All right, easy, confess your sins to God.

You want forgiveness of sin, What must you do?

Confess your sins to God. 1 John one verse 9.

But if we confess our sins to Him, he is faithful and just to

forgive us of our sins and to change us from all wickedness.

So if you need forgiveness of sins, this is what you're going

easy because Jesus was in love for you.

and pray for each other that you may be healed.

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power

and produces wonderful results. This is amazing.

relationships, discipleship. My friend, you need to have a

vision of Jesus so that your sins can be forgiven.

Happy. But I'm afraid to be healed from

sin, to be healed from transgressions, you need a bit

more than just a vision of God. You need to be in a covenant or

family. You need to be in a team, and

you need to have covenant or relationships when you are known

by someone and if someone knows you, you need to be in

authority, but you also need to be under authority.

Now, listen, the Catholics just got a lot of things wrong.

But one thing that didn't get wrong was the confessions.

But they've got a problem. They have to confess to priests.

You have to confess to priests. You can confess to any person

who's an authority in your life and who's you person of your

life, you communist, You are communist, committed, submitted,

serving and preserving. Are you with me so far?

If you constituent to people, leaders or other people that you

trust, you will be healed. Now, I call this negative

accountability. Ask me why.

You know why it's negative accountability.

It's negative because you've already sinned and how you're

dealing with the effects of the sin.

The horse has bolted. It's good.

It's good, it's good accountability because at least

now you're going to get healed, right?

But it's not good because it's not helping you not to sin.

So do you have how relationships?

How many relationships will you live in?

Negative accountability? In other words, when you can

confess your sins to another person?

No, Jesus is a rock, right? And in One Corinthians chapter 3

and verse 10 says this speak what you just read for me speak

If you ever ask yourself this question, how do you eat from

Jesus and how do you drink from Jesus and ask yourself that

cause to break him When you allow God to break him.

Will you put yourself into a powerful relationship.

Will you confess You will have to confess, but I understand

that you cannot break free from. I tell you how to do it in my

life. There was this woman in our

church and I just I had some feelings for it.

I love Mara committed to Mara. We've been married for 33 years.

I've never been unfaithful tomorrow, but this lady just and

it was chemistry, not from, I can't say from her side because

I never ever once talked to you about it.

I never once brought it up and I just was attracted to this lady.

Five years I struggled. I don't know what to do.

I was never inappropriate, never ever crossed the line.

But my friends, it was a struggle.

I went to Marcus and I shared it with him.

thing went from A7 to A1. How it was broken.

Why I confessed it to a brother. We do a thing called Victory

weekend in our church where people learn to live in victory

in Christ, right? And one of the things we do is a

spiritual profile. And they make a list of just

things in their past that are haunting them, things that they,

the devil comes back into your mind.

Oh, you did this, You said this. You know what?

Let me tell you something. When the devil comes and reminds

you of your sin and you confess it to another person, you can

say to him, hey man, I brought that into the light and I

confess that, and then I'm free. Many Perira, my good friend,

used to say this. The power of sin is in secrecy.

Listen to this. The power of this is a

confession on earth. You want to get healed from on

earth, confess it on earth. I don't know.

I walked away from that meeting with Marcus.

And I want to tell you, my friends, that condemning the

lives of the devil were broken off for me because I knew.

Listen, I'm taking. I'm not there anymore.

I've confessed you to Marcus and I'm free.

I'm I'll and I forget the second one, which means to get away

from you. And then now I want to ask you.

You can hear that never can do nothing for you.

The way you will live in the victory of it is if you applied

into your life. If you apply that into your

life, you need to allow yourself to be broken.

Last thing to be done. You want to know how to live in

victory over sin, right? Listen to this.

Did Jesus live in victory over sin?

Was he seriously perfect? Yes.

Was Jesus tempted to sin? Many times?

Is sin Sorry? Is the temptation to sin a sin?

I call this positive accountability.

If you learn to live in positive accountability, you will never

sin and it will keep you from sinning.

What do you mean, Bruce? It's positive accountability

because you confess your temptation to God and to someone

else. Have you ever heard that priest?

Have you ever heard a priest? If you wanted to live in victory

over sin, then learn to confess your temptation to the Father

and to confess your temptation to other people.

You will never sin. Have you ever heard that priest?

Why is it positive accountability?

It's positive because you have not yet sinned and this is

keeping you from sinning. So here's our example.

There can only be one example, the man that never sinned Jesus.

How do we see this working in Jesus life?

Look at me within the garden of dissent.

Me quickly. Look at this Matthew chapter 26

Matthew 26:37

verse 37 or 38. He took Peter and the two sons

of dearbony that James and John come along with him.

And he began to sorrowful and be troubled.

And then he said to them, my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow

to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with

me. What is he doing?

He's bringing his three best bunnies on earth into his

temptation and what is he asking them to do?

Pray with me and watch with me. OK?

Jesus brings Peter, James and John into his struggle and

temptation, confessing us to them.

Look at this verse 39. Going a little further, He fell

with his face to the ground and prayed.

My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.

May John, may John, as I will, as you will.

What's he doing there? He's confessing his temptation

to you, Father. What's he saying?

I don't want to die. I don't want to die for these

scumbags. I don't want to do it.

How do I think about the magnitude of this?

We've heard yesterday Jesus was the Lamb of God who was slain

before the foundation of the earth was laid.

How long before was that conference to this Garden

conference? And how much work has been done

from then to you? Have you ever done a big event

and your star performer wants to pull out at the last minute?

How do you feel? Is the guy that organized

everything? What the hell is wrong with you

man? Pull yourself towards yourself.

Get on with the show. Right?

Am I right? Right.

Jesus has got such an intimate relationship with the Father.

He knows the Father so well. He knows the Father's learned so

well that he has got no need to hide anything from the Father

because the Father sees everything anyway.

Do you think they've got honestly surprised by your sin,

your temptation to sin? Oh, I never saw that coming.

He just tells him, he brings him into it and he says what, what?

What your what are you dealing with?

He doesn't have a bad will, but he's dealing with his human

will. It was a free will and he's

bringing it under the Father's will.

And he says, but now, Lord help, I need your help because my

human role does not want to do what you want, but I want to do

what you want. But now I'm struggling.

There's a temptation in the truth.

Help me, Father. And but he's also asking his

mates on earth to say, hey, won't you guys help me?

Why don't you keep me accountable?

I don't want to do this. I want to do this and I need you

to help me to do this. Can you see that?

Now look at this irony. But Jesus and Peter knew that

would never be sifted and but Jesus and Peter knew that they

were going to be tempted. Peter had a perfect word from

Jesus and a word of mouth to Jesus and Peter to die before

the whistle cross. You're going to lie a few times.

Yes, he is arrogant, religious, soft, arrogant idiot.

Never Lord, I'm ready to die for you.

Hallelujah. Thank God and right, that's what

he says, right? It is hard, it is self right and

it's arrogant and he thinks he's better than Jesus.

What's he doing? He's awesome sleeping.

He's sleeping and Jesus, you should be sleeping, is praying

and Jesus is going to be victorious of a sin because he's

confessing it to the Father and he's confessing it to his

friends. And this self arrogant religious

pizza who does not know it's own heart wickedness should be

praying as much as Jesus. He's dosing because he trusts

himself, not in God. That's amazing, am I right?

Yeah, boy, yeah boy. Look at this, Matthew 2614.

He returned to the sample and found him sleeping.

Pray what? That you will not fall into him.

The spirit is, but the flesh is weak unless he does.

He's not choosing that spirit. He's not accessing the Holy

Spirit, the parachitos to say help me.

Father, Jesus has given me a prophetic word.

Jesus has said that Satan is going to betray me.

Jesus. Lord, I don't want to do that.

He's not doing that. What self confident proud,

Now watch this in Luke that says this, an Angel appeared from

heaven to strengthen him, an Angel from heaven and Ellison

appeared to strengthen him. What does it mean, my friend?

This battle that is a struggle against sin, this mastery of

sin. Is it a physical one or is it a

spiritual one? It's first spiritual, but it

manifests in that physical. But how you overcome the

physical is you must tap into the spiritual and Justin, when

you call up to your heavenly Father and when you've got good

mates that love you and trust you and they stand with you, My

friends, that humility got opposed to the proud Peter.

And he gives grace to the humble Jesus.

And then he sends angenic beings to come and do warfare on your

behalf. And he repeats Satan on your

behalf. Resist the devil, submit

yourself to God, resist the devil and he will.

Why in 50 years of my life has no one ever taught me this?

I'm serious. I'm serious, guys.

Why have we never had a teaching on how to live in victory over

sin by hastening sin at the level of temptation so we never

have to deal with it at the level of compassion?

Can I tell you my testimony as I close?

Forgive the vulnerability of this.

I'm a nervous and I'm accountable to with everything.

10 years ago. I'm travelling in Colombia.

I'm with a friend in his lounge. He's got a bookshop.

His daughter's a little bit older than yours.

They pulled the books out. There's four books there, too

secular, too Christian, on on sexuality and sex and all of

that stuff. He's doing a series of

sexuality, no problem. I've added that often and I find

myself in the same lounge. No one's in the house.

Guess what happens and then I'm embarrassed to tell you and I

look at the book not to say not the Christian ones.

Listen, temptations, my friends, that opens a door into my life

before, I don't know, six years. I'm struggling now, struggling

with voyeurism, struggling with this phone and the images.

Not hardcore full on porn, my friends.

You can find a lady with a little bikini and a little

strap. That's bad enough when you're

committing adultery in your eyes with it.

Am I right? Yes.

I'm just struggling with. I'm struggling with that.

I'm not confident. Forgive me, Jesus.

Forgive. Can't get victory.

Then that's OK. I need to confess.

Confess tomorrow. I need to confess to that and

also your team. I confess fine.

Feel a little bit better. So not going away.

I'm fighting, I'm wrestling. Then I realize this teaching.

OK, how do you start to confess temptation, my friend?

So I start now, I can't tell you the name of this Apostolic

couple, but I'm I'm accountable to four couples like this.

There are four couples in my life.

They've known everything about me.

The one couple her husband has struggled, he's living free.

So I think that's a couple that I want to be accountable to in

this year because they're going to hold me accountable.

So I'm finally might tell him, hey, honestly, I'm not watching

films, I'm not masturbating. I'm I'm not doing any of that

stuff. But it doesn't make it right.

It's wrong. But in my mind, I'm on the

shallow end of the SIM spectrum of porn.

Are you with me? If I'll be honest?

And I was, but that's not good. So I talk to him, he talks to

me. I've talked to you.

I've had a national elders. We had a national elders a

couple of years ago and now I'm in the flesh.

So I think this is a good time just to bring up the topic.

Now I'm bringing it up. I'm volunteering it.

I'm not and I'm also living in some victory.

Are you with me? I'm not like I'm not.

I'm not confessing sin. I'm confessing the temptation.

But this auntie clamps into me. She said to me, do you realize

America divorce you? Do you realize what Jesus said?

If you look at the woman asking me, it's like you kill the

doctor in the heart towards her. She's going off at me.

I'm telling you. I'm sitting there, I'm

listening. My flesh is like, who do you

think you are? What gives you the right to talk

to me like that? I'm not living in this thing

like this. You're coming at me like this

and I'm telling you I'm getting my flesh is getting upset me in

the back of my head. I'm I'm my flesh.

I'm serious. I'm telling you this guy, this

is what I'm telling you now. My spirit said to me, shut up

and listen. This is good for you, my

friends. My body is being crucified.

My flesh is being crucified. I'm as read as a tomato.

I'm feeling horrible. Why did I even bring this up?

I'm trying a million days. But here's the thing, up until

this day, I've been getting out of it.

I'm confessing it and I'm getting a little action.

It was the best thing she could have done to me.

Thank God for that conversation this day.

Let me tell you what. Listen, my friend, that son is

coming knocking. My friend, that son comes

knocking and the, the flesh instead of me wants to look

because of the endorphins. But you know what image comes

soon as that image, soon as that thing comes, you know what?

Another image comes, this auntie, the shame, what I'm

going to go through. And I think to myself, if I look

at this, then I'm going to have that auntie to deal with and

that auntie and that pain and that embarrassment and that all

of that stuff. It's way worse than the pleasure

of this thing. I'm not giving the auntie the

pleasure. And I say no thank you, reject,

not interested, don't like hard, you know, all the things on the

social media. And then I kill the thing.

And now I'm going to take my friends to this day.

And I'm living in victory over that thing because I'm learning

the skill of progressing temptation to send to the father

and to these people. I was in America six weeks ago.

I was telling a group of men just like you, this story.

I'm teaching this. This thing is listening all the

time. You know that you talk about a

new class, then it sends you adverts for a new class.

Talk about holiday. I'm going to send you that time.

I'm sitting in my in my room. That thing is listening.

I've heard porn, I've heard this stuff.

Here's what it starts sending me suggested videos.

I know you know what the video is before you push play, am I

right? And I look at this thing and I I

cannot believe it. I go and defeat boom, boom,

boom. The first chance I get.

Mara, please pray for me, love. I do this talk.

I'll be honest. There's something in me that

said go for it. But there's another thing.

Why? Look, I'm not so good, but in

that moment, my friend, I adapted to heaven and heaven's

resources. And in that moment, God says

angelic help. He says people help.

Lastly, guess what happens when you're honestly, you're better?

Your mate, you said to me, but there's a hot secret here at

work, OK? She's got these long fingernails

and sometimes you're out in my back and I love it.

And I'm tempted when you talk about that.

You know what you used to realize I don't want to do that.

I've got to tell the secret to get away from me.

I've got to tell the secret to touch me again.

When you speak like that, immediately the mystery of sin

and the of it goes out the window because you're speaking

about but that's in your mind. It's all fantastical.

But when you speak to another brother and he says to you,

what? Think about this, think about

that. What about this and he holds you

accountable with the power just goes like us.

Will you be put up that first time I've done Will you be this

my friends, Will you be a strong hand based church which is a

community of love that will walk in forgiveness of sin even from

sin and in freedom from sin as you so that you can reach the

nation to the interview of the gospel.

The world is looking for hope, not just forgiveness of sin, but

to live in freedom of every sin. You are how we carry that hope.
