Welcome to the podcast of the White Church in Adelaide, South
-
Australia. Good morning.
-
We missed you guys last week. So we were up in Balaclava,
-
which is great, visiting Josh and Rosie Bench who were here
-
back in July and their church, Lighthouse Church.
-
And so that was absolutely amazing.
-
We loved being with them. It was a bit of a tumultuous
-
time with our children and sickness and injuries and all
-
stuff like that. But we had a great time
-
nonetheless. And certainly on the Sunday
-
morning when I was standing there, like I don't think you
-
could wipe the smile and joy off my face.
-
Like just to be to travel an hour and a half north and it
-
looks different, looks different to what we're what we are like
-
here. But it carries the same DNA and
-
it's just so beautiful for me. Like whether we travel near or
-
far, then we can go into a church and even though it looks
-
different, we sense the same DNA.
-
Like my children, they look very different, even though they
-
carry the same DNA. And when, when something of your
-
DNA connects with some somebody else and kind of going, we share
-
the same DNA, we share the same values.
-
We share this. My kids, although they are quite
-
different, are very similar. And there's a bond that says,
-
Hey, we're, we're siblings in this, like we share something.
-
And so when I'm there, I'm, I'm sharing this.
-
I could, we had an opportunity to share a couple of things.
-
I'm just like, it was just so good to be in a church that
-
carries the same DNA. And so my encouragement, I
-
guess, is to you guys, if you find yourself travelling around
-
within our state or even across our country, some of us are
-
going to the global equipment in a couple of weeks.
-
Like see if you can find a church with the same DNA, Like,
-
because there is something that will happen inside of you when
-
you, when you're there that you'll kind of go, man, like I'm
-
filled with joy because I found, I found some, some DNA.
-
And so for me, it was such a great time.
-
I really desperately want to do it again.
-
I'm super excited. Next week, I won't be here
-
again. So I'm here and then off again
-
to the global equip. There's a few of us that are
-
going. So what we're going to do this
-
morning is I'm going to share for a little bit, but we're
-
actually going to then bring the kids back in and just ask those
-
people, what are they actually expecting God to do for the
-
global equip? Because I think it's cool that
-
we actually all stirred in our faith, right?
-
Whether we are going or not, there's something that God wants
-
to do, right? God has something not just for
-
those who are travelling, but for those who are staying over
-
the next couple of weeks. We're actually what I would call
-
out to be in Ephesians 4, gift is going to be ministering here
-
while we're travelling as well. And so we're all going to be
-
receiving something of a translocal Apostolic ministry
-
input into our context as individuals and as a local
-
church and globally. And I believe God really wants
-
to do something in that time. And that's what I want to kind
-
of talk around this morning is kind of going, what could God do
-
over the next couple of weeks? Like as people are travelling
-
and stuff, some of our meetings are going to be cancelled just
-
due to numbers. But what could God do if as, as
-
people of this local congregation or as people are
-
gathering in South Africa, what could God do in the next two
-
weeks? And so if you turn with your
-
Bibles, we're going to be reading from the NIV this
-
morning. I have one verse, I tried to
-
find others and there are others, but I just, I couldn't
-
move on from this verse. So I really want to focus here
-
in the book of Ephesians. Ephesians tends to have a bit of
-
a theme all the way through it and that's the theme is a broad
-
theme of the church. But Ephesians chapter 3 and
Ephesians 3 chapter mention
-
verse 10, I believe it's going to come up on the screen as
-
well. His intent, God's intent was
-
that now everyone say now, now, now that now this book was
-
written 2000 years ago, but that now is still now, right?
-
It means exactly the same in the old Greek that it means in
-
English means a Now His intent was that 2000 years ago now his
-
intent was that also now through the church, the manifold wisdom
-
of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in
-
the heavenly realms. The manifold wisdom of God
-
through the church. So God's intent, his intention,
-
his plan, his, his idea is that through the church, the manifold
-
wisdom of God should be made known.
-
The manifold wisdom of God. If you consider that like that's
-
not like man's wisdom making a good decision.
-
This is everything of who God is.
-
Like it's manifold, it's multifaceted, it's it's
-
multidimensional, it's incomprehensible.
-
This is his character, this is his nature, this is his purposes
-
and his plans. And God says, my intention is
-
through the church, I'm going to reveal that to the world.
-
My intention, my plan from the very beginning, it actually goes
-
on in in verse 11, we won't read it, but he actually goes on and
-
goes, this is according to the eternal purpose of God.
-
So from the very beginning to the very end, God's intention is
-
that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God, his
-
character, his nature, his plans, his purposes, who he is,
-
what he is like what he is up to in the earth.
-
His intention was that all of that would be revealed through
-
the church. Doesn't that excite you about
-
the purposes and plans for the church?
-
Like if you consider that and you're like, that's what we are
-
saved into, right? We, we talk about some of the
-
stuff that we are saved from. And we'd spoke about that over
-
the last couple of weeks about that we are saved out of hell
-
and, and darkness and stuff like that.
-
We're obviously we're saved into heaven, but we're also saved
-
into this thing called the church.
-
And when you get saved into the church, you get this God's
-
intention. The minute you were saved and
-
added into the church, his intent was that you would reveal
-
the purposes and plans of God, his character, his nature.
-
You would put that on display for the world around here.
-
Doesn't that excite you for the mission of the church?
-
Doesn't excite you for the future of the church?
-
And so my, my headline question that I want you to consider all
-
the way through over the next few weeks, because I'm, I'm
-
actually believing God could do something really significant
-
over the next two weeks. As people are travelling, as
-
we've got global equipments, we get ministry here as well.
-
Like what would happen if a church or if we as a people
-
called God's intention, not just his attention, but his
-
intention. What would happen if we caught
-
his intention for us in this next season?
-
And I want to talk just a little bit around what what what is the
-
church look like? Because I think sometimes we can
-
go, yeah, that's great for the the way church or that's great
-
for different things. But in Scripture we actually we
-
kind of see four different expressions of church.
-
And the reason I want to highlight this is because kind
-
of all four are relevant and all four God's intentions stays the
-
same. OK Are you following?
-
Yeah. Yeah.
-
Cool. And so for the first, the first
-
one, which is probably the most obvious, this is talking about
-
God's big global church, right? But the first expression that we
-
see is the individuals and families that God adds into his
-
global church. As I said earlier, the minute
-
you are saved, you're part of his capital C church.
-
You are added into the family of God.
-
And so if you can now place that Scripture as an individual
-
intention of God over your life, an individual intention over
-
you, individually over your family, God's intent was that
-
through the church, individuals and families, he would reveal
-
the manifold wisdom of God. What could God do if in the next
-
two weeks he revealed to every single individual and family in
-
this place his intention for their life and for their season?
-
What could God do if you say God show us your intention and we
-
caught it, not just we shot, He showed it.
-
But what if? What would happen if we all as
-
individuals and families caught God's intention for our life?
-
Tell you what, this place would look radically different if we
-
all caught the intention of God as an individual's and his
-
families. Like that would change.
-
Probably the way that I govern my family and lead my family
-
will probably change some of the ways I approach things like work
-
and whatever. If I said, hey, God, what is
-
your intention for me coming out of the next couple of weeks?
-
What is your intention for my family?
-
What do you want us to do? And so the first expression, I
-
think that the relevance of this statement is as the individuals
-
and families. And so I'd encourage you over
-
the next few weeks, can you pray individual family?
-
What is it that God, what's his intention for us in this season?
-
All right, the next expression we see in the the Scriptures is
-
like local congregations or what local, what we would call local
-
churches, like groups of people gathering together, right?
-
So we've got one here. As I say, we call them local
-
churches. They're more like congregations,
-
like what would happen if it's a congregation we call God's
-
intention for us as a congregation for the next
-
season. What does God want to do with
-
the way church in the next season and all of us committed
-
and saying, hey God, what is your intent for us?
-
And let's catch it because I don't want to miss that.
-
If his intent was that through us, he would reveal the manifold
-
wisdom of God. I'll be like God, show us what
-
that looks like for our next season.
-
Show us what that looks like coming out with all of this
-
input and all of this stuff. Show us what you want us to do
-
as as a group, as a congregation, as a lampstand in
-
this area. What is it you want to do, not
-
just for me, but for us? And so we've got those two
-
expressions. The third expression, which I
-
think just lifts our eyes a little bit, we kind of go micro
-
to kind of the macro expression, right?
-
So the next expression we see in the Scripture is the Church of a
-
city or a region. So Paul writes and he says to
-
the church in Galatia, which is a region, or to the church in
-
Ephesus, that's the city, to the church in Rome, right?
-
We have churches that we partnership partner with across
-
the city. And there's other churches in
-
this city as well, right? What would happen, What could
-
God do if the churches in this city all caught God's intention
-
for the next season? What could God do?
-
Even just the four churches that partner with NCMI, what could
-
God do? He turned the world upside down
-
with 12 men, 1111 men. What could God do with four
-
local congregations or with the hundreds of churches, hundreds
-
of congregations meeting across our city?
-
What could God do if we all caught his intention for our
-
city in this next season? So I'm praying, hey, God, reveal
-
to us what you want to do in our city and in our state, in our
-
region, because he he's he has an intention.
-
We just read it. God's intent.
-
So God, I want to catch your intent, right?
-
And the fourth expression that we see is this, this expression
-
of what we would probably call translocal ministry or Apostolic
-
ministry, which we see in Acts chapter 13 to 15, two chapters
Acts 13 chapter mention
-
there at the beginning of Acts 13, that the prophets and
-
teachers are together and the Spirit comes and tells them, set
-
apart Paul and Barnabas for the work of that I've called them to
-
and they pray for them and they send them out with a purpose.
-
And that is to visit various local congregations, various
-
cities and actually reveal to them God's intention.
-
And so the word translocal literally means across or
-
between the local, like transatlantic going across the
-
Atlantic. And so there NCMI, which is a
-
group that we partner with New Covenant Ministries
-
International, there are other teams doing a similar work, but
-
this is a trans local team. And it's an expression of God's
-
church. Because not only is God's
-
intention as an individual or family or not only is God's
-
intention at a local congregation level, not only is
-
his intention just for a city or a region, but he has an intent
-
for the church global and he has an intent.
-
And I'm wondering what could God do as thousands of people gather
-
together with a trans local team?
-
What could God do if we as individuals, as local
-
congregations, as churches of cities and regions, and as a
-
whole team, what could God do? If we say God, we want to catch
-
your intention. I was watching a video this week
-
and I'd encourage you to go watch it.
-
And And to to me me it's it's exciting exciting. he's just
-
kind of saying man what what regions could be opened up there
-
is we prayed in our premier a couple of weeks ago around
-
Europe and just noticed that the entire pretty well the West of
-
Europe is untouched by the new covenant ministries translocal
-
team they were they didn't know EE sorry no W was fine the east
-
my apologies clearly my wife is the person of directions Clearly
-
my wife is the person of directions the east of Europe.
-
So towards Ukraine towards no, no, that kind of agent.
-
Yeah, that kind of thing. Holland through that area like
-
we went to the NCI map couldn't find any churches that partner
-
with the trans local team that we partner with.
-
There are definitely churches there, but what could God do if
-
we caught God's intention for that region and there are other
-
nations around the world that are unreached with the gospel?
-
What could God do if all of us said God, would you reveal to us
-
and would we catch your intention for the church, for
-
the church global, for the Trans local team, like all of us
-
should carry a heart to say, you know, we partner with this team
-
and partnership means that we are invested in what they're
-
invested in, right? It's not like the team do their
-
thing and we do our thing and every now and then we high 5 on
-
the way through. We're we're part of that, right?
-
Partnership is about the work together, but it's also about
-
the reward together. The nations that are broken up,
-
broken into by new covenant ministries are our inheritance,
-
right? When we when we read scriptures
-
and say ask of me and I'll give the nations as your inheritance,
-
there's a reality that not all of us can go to all nations.
-
There's 190 something nations in the world.
-
I doubt whether in our small congregation we've covered them
-
all, but that's why we partner because of their inheritance is
-
our inheritance. Their reward is our reward.
-
And so as we gather over the next few weeks as individuals,
-
as a local congregation, as a church in our region and
-
globally, I wonder if we could just ponder and say, Hey God,
-
what is it you want to do? What is it you want to do over
-
the next few weeks? And what could happen if even
-
just we caught His intention? Not just for our lives, not just
-
for our congregation, not just for our region, but for the
-
nations of the world. What could God do?
-
We put that scripture back up. Ephesians 310.
-
His intent. This is his intent.
-
What would happen if we caught his intent?
-
His intent was that now, now through the church, through the
-
individuals, through the local congregations, through the
-
regional church, through the global church.
-
His intent was that now, through the Church, the manifold,
-
multifaceted wisdom of God, his character, his nature, who he
-
is, what he's like, what he is up to, all of that through the
-
Church will be made known to rulers and authorities in the
-
heavenly realms. What a future, what a plan.
-
Are you not excited to be part of the church?
-
This is one of the greatest times to be alive because of
-
this Scripture is so true now as it was back then.
-
His intent is that now through us, through the His church,
-
global and local, the manifold wisdom of God will be made
-
known. Can you say Amen?
-
Amen. Awesome.
-
We're going to message the kids, but why don't we pray We'll get
-
them back in just because we want to ask some people around
-
this question as well. Why don't we pray?
-
And yeah, we'll bring them back. Father, we, we marvel at your
-
intention, and it's so much bigger than we could ever dream
-
or imagine. And your plans for your church
-
are so much better than our plans for your church.
-
And after all, it's your church, not ours.
-
Your intent is that through your church, you would reveal
-
yourself to the world. And so we say thank you and we
-
say have your way, Lord, over the next few weeks as we are
-
gathering and we are receiving input here locally, as we are
-
receiving input globally as well.
-
We pray that your intention would not just be revealed, but
-
would be caught by those by all of us.
-
That we would catch your intention for us as individuals
-
and as families, for your intention for us as the way
-
church, your intention for our city, and your intention for the
-
nations of the world. Lord, give us a capacity to
-
catch what you want to do and to run with it in Jesus name, Amen.
-
Amen. Welcome back, kids.
-
So the reason we brought the kids in is because a couple of
-
the kids are actually going to Global Equip as well, right?
-
And and this is trying to catch something of God's intention,
-
right? Something of what God wants to
-
do. Hey, shout out from the front.
-
So we're going to, we're going to ask these guys.
-
I'm going to maybe we've got a roaming mic.
-
We'll we'll make this work. But I want to some things that
-
God could do and I want you just to consider some of this as
-
these guys share, I've asked prepped them.
-
So I hope they're prepped. This is some of the stuff that I
-
just wrote down that I think God could do.
-
What could happen? Remember my question, what could
-
happen if we all caught God's intention?
-
And these are some of the things that I said that I wrote down,
-
that what could happen? What could happen is that people
-
could be encouraged, courage could be put in right?
-
People could be excited for God's plans and purposes.
-
Unbelievingly now as we're here, hopefully this morning you're a
-
bit more excited about what God wants to do.
-
We could be enlarged and expanded in our capacity, we
-
could be emboldened, we could be envisioned, and God could
-
expediate what he wants to do. Expediate.
-
Here's a thesaurus I learnt alliteration from the best
-
expediate. But just ponder that.
-
Though I actually did write that when one in like so God could
-
encourage, he could excite, he could enlarge, he could
-
embolden, he could envision, he could equip.
-
I didn't say that first time and he could expediate.
-
In other words, things that usually take a long time could
-
take a really short time if we gave ourselves and thank God, we
-
want to catch your intention. Things that usually take years
-
could take months and even days if we say God, let us catch your
-
intention in this global time, this local time.
-
I'll rattle those off if I can see some people taking notes.
-
Encourage, embolden, enlarge, envision, excite, equip, and
-
expedite. God could do something amazing.
-
So I'm going to. So for those who don't know, for
-
those who are going, so it's Dana, Chantel, Dave, Hilary and
-
their kids. So we're going to actually hear
-
from Levi, I assume. I hope we're going to hear from
-
Levi. Yeah, yeah.
-
Awesome. Eden's going to share.
-
And then I'm travelling as well. So you've kind of heard mine,
-
but you guys want to rock, paper, scissors.
-
Who's going to go first? I want your wife to come up as
-
well because that's cool to like you guys are travelling together
-
and we've just spoken that God could speak individually.
-
Yeah, yeah. So what do you, what do you kind
-
of believe in God could do in you guys individually and as as
-
a family over the next little bit?
-
Kind of touched on some of them already, but like just enlarging
-
our vision to what we're connected with.
-
Like it's been now eight years with NCMI for me previously
-
before that, but in this last season, 8 years and I haven't
-
seen much of the global aspect. I've seen the kind of national
-
aspect. And I'm I'm just excited to see,
-
I've seen some of the leaders come through in the lodging
-
times and they've input into my life and it's been amazing.
-
But I just want to see the the bigness of what we're, we're
-
involved with. And I believe that's what God's
-
going to do in me. And then from that that I can
-
actually start to bring with me. Am I answering the same
-
question? Pretty much the same.
-
I think it's just this being outside of the bubble that we've
-
always seen, known and just getting to experience different
-
people's stories and testimonies and just opening up myself to
-
what God can do in and through me as a black daughter of
-
Christ, Me as a wife, me as a mother, me as a friend in not
-
just my own little space that I have here in Adelaide, but like
-
opening that up and letting other people in and being able
-
to speak into other people's lives that is over the world.
-
Really. It's just this incredible thing
-
that you always hear of and now you know, through the grace of
-
God we're going to get to experience it for ourselves.
-
And what do you guys, do you guys have any feels on like what
-
do you believe that God could do with us?
-
Like we're obviously there's some of us travelling, some of
-
us staying and receiving input here.
-
What do you, what do you feeling God could do and shift in us as
-
a people? I had that word readiness just
-
to be ready for the next thing. But like kind of when like you
-
have that marathon runner with a baton, there's all this baton
-
coming. There's this thing that God's
-
trying to do and we're ready. We're not, we're not just
-
standing there looking around kind of like, oh, when's it
-
going to happen? We're in position.
-
So I feel like God's positioning us for the next thing, whether I
-
don't know what that next thing can look like, to be honest.
-
But there's this We are positioning our hearts ready to
-
receive that button. Awesome.
-
I think for me, I'm have an expectation that it's going to
-
spark something inside of all of us, that the nations are open to
-
us. And for us, you know, sort of
-
recently been birthed with Dave going to the Philippines this
-
year. And that's just such a small,
-
it's a big part, but it's like just the start.
-
And I'm sort of have this heart that it's not just going to be
-
David or Hillary or Justin and Bianca.
-
Like it can be each and every one of us, and what that looks
-
like is up to us individually. But like we're going so that we
-
can come back and sort of fan into flame.
-
This thing of God has called each of us to go into the
-
nations and into our city and into our neighborhoods.
-
So let's start. Which is kind of what we've been
-
preaching on this last season anyway, but there's just going
-
to be this like a catalyst I'm expecting to happen, yeah.
-
Awesome. And probably the last two if you
-
can do them combined. What are you expecting God could
-
do? There's obviously 4 churches in
-
this city, but there's a whole bunch in Australia and it's the
-
Apostolic team as well. Everyone's coming together.
-
What do you think God could do? What do you what do you believe
-
in God could could stir up? We've had the privilege to go to
-
a couple of the churches in Australia this year and just to
-
hear their stories and to hear the heart behind how they
-
planted out. We went to a new plant church,
-
but also we talked about how did you see one out and did
-
different locations? And I'm my heart stirred as
-
people from those churches would actually get an understanding of
-
what God's got for them and the regions they're in that they
-
might even open up and plant. And I think even even in this
-
city, we've seen now the way plan out of Kingdom life.
-
But there's more there's more people that have got the call in
-
their hearts, maybe not understanding what it is in
-
here. But I know that they're going to
-
get a revelation of, Hey, God's actually got this.
-
And this week God kind of gave me a podcast to listen to, which
-
is an old archive NCMI talking about bi vocational church
-
planners. And I went, why did that come
-
up? God, he said there are people
-
that are disqualifying themselves to planning a church
-
because I have to work at the same time.
-
They may be in the marketplace, but God said, I'll actually want
-
you to break open this region and open this marketplace for
-
the church. So that's what I had on my
-
heart. What was the question?
-
Just sort of he's like, what a different route of all things.
-
I thought maybe I got the quest. Do I, do I hear the question
-
right? No.
-
So what is it? The God you you've feeling that
-
God could do in our city, our nation, and globally.
-
I see this as a greater step into the unity that God has
-
called for us in this city. As churches, I see us that
-
there's different people going from different churches and
-
we're going with the same heart and we'll come back to our
-
different churches and bring something similar back for us
-
all to be united and to fight for and to press on into.
-
And I think that extends to, you know, the different regions
-
around Australia and just that greater connection, that greater
-
unity, that greater like I'm standing with you, praying with
-
you, fighting with you, and for you to press on into the great
-
things of the Kingdom. Awesome.
-
Cool. Thank you guys.
-
Yeah, give them a round of applause.
-
Sure. I'm hoping like the the reason
-
for them sharing isn't just so we can kind of go, that's
-
awesome. You go Dan and Chantel and
-
that's that's so that we could kind of go, man, we're going to
-
stand with you and we're going to catch something of what God
-
wants to do. And we're going to pray for that
-
as well. So Dave, Hilary, Levi, Liam and
-
Eden, wherever she is, these guys are bold, right?
-
Are there these guys are bold taking their entire family or
-
stupid? We're bold.
-
Yeah. I feel like there's a little bit
-
of ridiculousness if you're going to plant a church anyway.
-
So we'll go with that. Like, man, it's an entire
-
family. But what an opportunity not just
-
for them, but for their kids, right.
-
As we we shared earlier, like what could God's intention is
-
not just that an individual, but it's sort of family.
-
What could God do with a family? What could God do with a family
-
who goes and catches his intention together as a unit?
-
So I'll let you guys decide who's going to go first with
-
what you believe in God to do. Yeah, through you guys and you
-
as a family are. You going to ask us all the
-
questions or do you want me just to like, Yeah.
-
You can kind of do the whole thing like.
-
All right, cool. So obviously, I mean, for us, it
-
was never a question of whether Dave was going or not.
-
I was pregnant, you know, when we sort of started talking about
-
it. So the assumption that was
-
originally that I wouldn't go with the kids and the newborn
-
because that's crazy, right. But I've I've felt really
-
strongly to go since last since the Australian equipped last
-
year. And my reasons are mainly
-
personal in that I just feel like my perspective of what God
-
can do through his church has just been so limited to what
-
I've seen in Australia and in the churches I've been in.
-
And I'm really hungry just to step out and say God at work
-
through the greater body and his Spirit working through the
-
greater body. And without the limitations of
-
my expectations or what I've known or whatever, I just really
-
want to catch more of what's possible.
-
And I know that it's, it's far beyond even what we'll see at
-
the equip, but I just want to broaden my perspective.
-
And then for us as a family and for the kids, I just, I really
-
wanted to show them the bigness and how exciting it is and how
-
many amazing friends we can make across the world and how God can
-
can work through them and use them no matter their age.
-
And, and yeah, just the boldness of doing something crazy and
-
really hard. Like, I have no doubt that it's
-
going to be full of it's family challenges, but I'm just
-
trusting that there's a grace for it and that we're all going
-
to be grown and that the boys will just be so excited for what
-
they're a part of and the friendships that they can make
-
and, and what they've got ahead of them.
-
Yeah, so cool. What are you excited about?
-
Liam having my birthday. Liam's going to have his
-
birthday. Where are we?
-
Actually, he's he's pretty excited about that.
-
What about you, Levi? Making new friends So good.
-
Awesome. Cool.
-
Yeah, like we're we're excited like we're.
-
It's hard when it's, how do you like, it's hard to be excited
-
about something that you know is going to be difficult.
-
But, but we are, but we are excited.
-
We are genuinely excited. We decided to go not because it
-
was easier, but because it was important for our family.
-
You know, like if we, we say a lot of things as the church, we
-
talk about generations, we talk about a bunch of stuff and then,
-
well, taking the kids is too hard or just go on our own.
-
We just, we have to live out what we claim to believe and
-
what we say. And so we want to be about the
-
generations. We want to see our kids raised
-
up beyond ourselves and carry this thing after we're long
-
gone. So that starts with us, You
-
know, as leaders, we we want to example to to us as a church
-
that we we do things that are difficult because it's again,
-
it's the it's what we're called to do.
-
It's what we need to do. It's it's yeah.
-
So personally, like I'm, you know, I'm pretty honest with you
-
guys. I need to grow up like I need to
-
be a better husband. I need to be a better father.
-
I need to be a better leader in the church.
-
I need to be, I need to be a better person.
-
You know, I need to serve the Lord better.
-
You know, like I got some growing up today.
-
I'm content with where God's got me, but I'm not content with
-
where I would like to be in terms of serving him and
-
displaying him. He's so good.
-
Like he is so perfect and and I want to be like him And, you
-
know, we got a long way to go. So we want to grow as a family.
-
We want to grow in our marriage. We want to bring something back.
-
The other thing that I'm really excited about is the adventure
-
of this. You know, I'm going with with
-
these guys and with Justin, you know, and the anchor into the
-
future. Like we're, we're doing this as
-
a team and there's such a sense of excitement in that to go on
-
an adventure with, with God and to grow together and to, to grow
-
as a team, to lead this church and to come back stronger and to
-
come back knowing each other better and, and being able to
-
work better with one another and these sort of things.
-
This is super important for us as a church.
-
So I'm hoping that, you know, that I'm, I'm expecting that
-
we're going to, we're going to see God do a work in us as, as
-
leaders as we come back. And, and obviously, when I think
-
about what God, you know, what we could expect for God to do
-
beyond ourselves into the city and into the nations.
-
It's just, it's just growth, isn't it?
-
Like we want to see fruit. We want to see the gospel go
-
out. We want to see the churches
-
grow. We want to see unity.
-
I was thinking about where it says that, you know, that they
-
will know that you're my disciples by the way that you
-
love one another. I think that us as a as a church
-
around the world and in this city, and I think we do a poor
-
representation of what love is sometimes in terms of unity and
-
working together. I think that we're quite often
-
doing our own thing and, you know, forgetting the fact that
-
the church down the road is the body as well.
-
So, yeah, just a greater display of God's love and, and that we
-
would be, you know, successful. You know, we want to be
-
successful and not in, in, you know, in a worldly sense.
-
We want this church and, and the churches of this city and beyond
-
to be fruitful to count for the Lord that, that the Lord would
-
look at us and say that there is success there.
-
So, yeah, all of those things. I'm sort of, I'm, I'm going fast
-
because I know that our kids are wanting to have lunch or
-
something. But yeah, that's OK.
-
Yeah, that's cool. Cool.
-
Thank you. Kind of give them a bit of a
-
before we kind of move on. I'm going to throw it to the
-
floor. As we've been talking, I'm sure
-
as some of you, I'm sure you've been praying and stuff and you
-
probably had probably not this exact question, maybe a
-
variation of what? What is it that God could do?
-
What are you praying into? So I'm going to give an
-
opportunity to the floor. Does anyone want to share
-
something? If you're like men, I believe in
-
God could do this. Can you throw that there for a
-
recording? Just for a recording because we
-
are recording this. That'd be awesome.
-
When Chantelle touched on the Philippines, when David did go
-
over there and I would I believe God revealed about like this was
-
just the beginnings. And because that is our close
-
nation to God and it's I just sort of wanted to encourage
-
these guys. Maybe they can make a connection
-
with some of those countries that are close by because I just
-
see that that's a there's gonna be more doors opening.
-
So this year as a global and I'll be praying for you guys as
-
your way, you know, and obviously anywhere in the world,
-
but you know what I mean. It's just that that is an area
-
that a door has opened into and it'd be really good to see what
-
other doors God can use through this equip to open up more doors
-
into into the Asian area. Awesome.
-
Yep. And just also, you know, if
-
there's any particular prayer points, you know, that anyone
-
wants, you know? That mate, you know, obviously
-
we can always big chat, you know, you can chat on the the
-
WhatsApp, you know, and just share as things are going along.
-
Which would be really good. So we know what how to be
-
prayed. Awesome.
-
Good, Michael. Hey mate, just picking up on
-
what? You said before.
-
About expedite, just had a. Look and a.
-
Couple of things are really I'm looking at is helps us to
-
facilitate his word, not only the word that's spoken to us,
-
but the word that we speak to others through his voice and
-
I've put in my. Notes here for myself and Karen
-
to. Says what is God's?
-
Intention for me and Karen in our next season.
-
Praying to this. And listen and catch his
-
intentions. Is what you said not only going
-
to help us to facilitate things in our life, but in others as
-
well and help us to grow in the word of God, not in the the word
-
of Satan, because that is more important in our life than
-
anything else. So I really want to thank you
-
for that expedite. That was a fantastic word.
-
Anyone else like this? This is ours, Eliza.
-
To all of you who are going at the beginning, when we first
-
came in and God said to me, it's time.
-
And so I went, time for what? I'm excited, you know, I know
-
I'm excited, but the excitement is being gathered together as a
-
family and that's how it should be.
-
And so I said to him, time for what?
-
Well, whose time? It's your time.
-
It's your guy's time to now go where he is going to send you.
-
And it's our time to be able to pray for you so that when yous
-
come back, yous will be able to share with us all of what you're
-
experiencing. And what we are going to pray
-
for is what the answers are going to be when yous come back.
-
And so listening to you, Justin, in the way that you preached.
-
And God has got covenants in his word to be able for yous to take
-
with you and also for us to be able to pray into.
-
And the covenant he gave me was in the beginning I created the
-
heavens and the earth. So now the beginning is for yous
-
to go across and find out what God has for you to bring back to
-
us so that we can then have a covenant together to be able to
-
walk in that and go in that. And the the biggest thing of all
-
is having unity. And that is the biggest thing of
-
all that we can have is to be able to unite together, walk
-
together and be able to do this together.
-
And yeah. And so I hope that's encouraging
-
for yous because it's going to be encouraging for us who are
-
left behind to be able to pray over yous and see what God does.
-
And he is going to do something because it's time.
-
Yeah. Anyone else?
-
As I'll quickly go, do you have something?
-
I had this this morning. It's Ephesians 1 and it was
-
verse 18 that really stood. Out and it said I.
-
Pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, in
-
order that you may know the hope of which you have called, which
-
He has called you, and the riches of the glorious
-
inheritance in the Saints. And as we were talking.
-
About the global equipment, we are part of that inheritance and
-
I just thought that was really what highlighted in this that
-
the heart, our hearts will be enlightened also in the fact
-
that you guys are going and we're going to be here and we're
-
all going to receive from God. Yeah, I.
-
Just wanted to quickly add, like each of you that are going, it's
-
not by accident that you're going like you're going because
-
somebody else that's going need something from you.
-
So actually what you guys can go to encourage like, yes, we're a
-
small little local congregation here and there's other churches
-
that will be there that are like huge, but God's got something
-
for you guys to take with you to give to those nations and to
-
give to those churches, whether it's at the equipped, whether
-
it's on the flight on the way there, whatever it like God's
-
got something for you guys. And then for us as well.
-
Like these guys won't be with us, but I'm actually expecting
-
that God will open up ways for us to be used in ways that we
-
haven't noticed before. Maybe just because we're used to
-
other people doing it or or but God will actually in US, grow us
-
into to see things differently and to be used in a different
-
way that we might not have been used before.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
God has great things for us as a people.
-
God has great things for us as individuals, families, He has
-
great stuff for us as a church, great stuff for our nation,
-
great stuff in our togetherness, right?
-
He has a high intention and then I want to be people that catch
-
that intention. Amen.
-
Do you have? Talk a bit about the
-
practicalities. Oh.
-
Yes. So we'll were you going?
-
To cover that or no? No, we can land.
-
Then we'll talk practicals. Is that cool?
-
Then we'll land it from there. So I just want us all if we can
-
like and we'll maybe we can quickly pray for these guys that
-
are going, but I wanted to pray for us as well.
-
All right, this as much as we are going and there's some
-
saying, as I said, we have input here.
-
There's something for us to catch that God, we would catch
-
his intention all of us. So Father, we thank you for
-
those that are going. We thank you for these next few
-
weeks. We thank you for your plans,
-
your purposes. We pray your protection upon Dan
-
and Chantelle, your protection upon the pounders as they fly
-
out, your as even Bianca. Pray that you would give us all
-
something as we travel to actually impart into another
-
nation. Father, those we we were sharing
-
around divine connections. You would bring those divine
-
connections as we spoke about enlarging an expediation.
-
We pray God, you would do these things.
-
We commit these things. We don't think they're just our
-
ideas of what you want to do, but they are part of your idea
-
of what you want to do. And so we want to say yes, Lord,
-
come and do these things in us, through us, in Jesus name, Amen.
-
Thank you for joining us for today's message.
