Welcome to the podcast of the White Church in Adelaide, South
-
Australia. I just felt to share this even
-
just out of what Eliza had shared with us this morning.
-
If you don't know that you need something from God, then there's
-
no expectation for you to, you know, for him to do it in you.
-
Like, does that make sense? Like if I come here thinking
-
that of I have everything that I need, then where is the
-
opportunity for God to give us something that when that is
-
needed? And I think Eliza sort of
-
touched on that. It's like sometimes you just
-
don't know. Often times I would say that we
-
come in here or we live our lives just oblivious to our
-
needs, the things that God's wanting to do in US and through
-
US. And so I say all that just to
-
lift our expectation this morning that God is going to
-
speak, that God is going to highlight things that he wants
-
to deal with us in our hearts mainly.
-
Well, pretty much in our hearts. The way that you live comes out
-
of what's in your heart, right? So there's some heart surgery
-
that God needs to do in all of us and he's going to do that
-
this morning. Should you be willing?
-
I hope we are willing. And I was just reminded of this
-
scripture here. Paul writes in in Acts, Acts 20.
-
He says, so now brethren, I commend you to God and to the
-
word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you
-
an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
-
And so as Justin brings the Word of God, God's Word, what God
-
says, the truth as the Word is sown into our hearts, let's be
-
expected that God is going to do a work in here and lead us, lead
-
us as individuals, but as the church into the inheritance that
-
he has for us with all the Saints.
-
Amen. Excellent.
-
Come, Justin, I'm just going to pray, Lord, we just lift up this
-
man. Lord, we thank you that he's
-
spent time preparing. God, we thank you that your Holy
-
Spirit dwells in him, Lord. And we just pray, Lord, that
-
even right now, Lord, that you would lead him in his words, in
-
direction, in whatever it is that you're wanting to do.
-
Lord, we thank you that you've prepared him to stand here and
-
share your word, Lord. But I pray that wherever you
-
want to lead him, I pray that I know that he will follow you.
-
I just pray that you would lead in the direction that you would
-
have him go. And Lord, I pray for us as
-
people in this place, good, good soil in our hearts.
-
Lord, I pray you prepare us even right now in this moment, Lord,
-
that we would be able to take on so, so much seed from your word
-
and it would bring forth a huge harvest, hundredfold harvest in
-
US and through US in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
-
Amen. Good day, guys.
-
OK, so this morning is kind of Week 3.
-
Of and A and a. Recap of our time in South
-
Africa and it was actually it was a really good time and I
-
went back and listened if you remember the week before we
-
left, we got some of the guys that were going we got them up
-
here and we said, what do you believe God could do?
-
And I went back and I, I don't know if you've had the
-
opportunity to go back and listen to those words and then
-
listen to what people. Preached afterwards and to hear
-
how God did actually do what we prayed that he would do.
-
And one of the one of the strong themes that people prayed for.
-
In that time, was it? Just we would get a.
-
Sense of God at work in our togetherness around the.
-
Globe and I want to kick off this morning just by giving some
-
updates of what God is doing around the globe.
-
And so we spent six weeks praying into different
-
continents around the world. At our prayer meetings, we
-
prayed over each continent, and I had the privilege of meeting
-
people from every continent except for Asia, which is kind
-
of surprising because Asia has, like, you know, 2/3 of the
-
world's population. But I want to just give you some
-
some. Feedback from what God is.
-
Actually doing because I think when we pray and we say God show
-
us what you're doing around the world, and then we meet people
-
and we hear stories of what God is doing, it encourages us that
-
God is at work, right? So there was this couple that I
-
met called Dennis and Vanessa. They relocated from South Africa
-
into Spain in our togetherness as new Covenant ministries.
-
It's the first church to be planted into Spain.
-
Europe is very, they would say, very liberal in some of its its
-
kind of ways, particularly around things like gender
-
ideology and stuff like that. And so they're planting in a
-
hard land. In.
-
Spain and they were saying stories that they were weeping
-
at the airport, knowing it was God's.
-
Purpose, but knowing the challenge.
-
Ahead and they gave stories as I was chatting with them.
-
Of just God really at work. They said that there was one guy
-
who came to their church who came to be baptized and said
-
awesome, we'll go down to the beach in the public.
-
And we're going to. Baptize you and Dennis just felt
-
the call of God just to say hey, is there anyone else that wants
-
to give your life to Christ and. Get baptized here and the entire
-
gentleman's family gets saved and baptized that night on the
-
beach. God is at work in Europe.
-
Hey, we heard from guys in. France, how they've just.
-
God has provided a building for this church that has been
-
meeting at like kind of nomadic for a while, and God is at.
-
Work in Europe. I met a couple called Mike and
-
Julia. They are part of a church in
-
Charlotte in North Carolina in the US.
-
Just had the privilege just pick them up for a Sunday morning
-
church meeting and we drove there and so we got chatting.
-
They had a 2 year old daughter, very similar age to my kids.
-
So I just asked them like where are you from?
-
What's the church like and stuff now?
-
Part of a church that didn't relate or partner with New
-
Covenant Ministries International.
-
And in their words, things weren't going great.
-
The church was really unhealthy. There was a lot of kind of
-
division in the church and stuff like that.
-
And through a leadership change, the church started partnering
-
with New Covenant. Ministries started.
-
Partnering with an Apostolic team and team guys started
-
coming in and rebuilding foundations and they reflecting
-
on they've been along for this whole journey.
-
And they said, man, the church is in such a healthier place
-
because of what has. Happened and.
-
What God has been doing in our church and in our togetherness.
-
And do you believe? God is at.
-
Work in the United States. God is at work in North America.
-
He's he's doing something with the churches.
-
He's strengthening churches all throughout the world.
-
We obviously we went over there and we met Bruce and Myra who
-
have ministered here and lead Lighthouse to the nation's
-
church and they have two campuses in South Africa.
-
And we got to talk with some of their leaders who are just
-
feeling the call of God to go into other nations and to
-
relocate to places like Zimbabwe, to relocate to places
-
like Sudan. To go right.
-
Through to Zambia. God is a work in Africa.
-
Do you believe that? Like we're praying for Africa,
-
and here are stories of real people on the ground doing
-
things for God, making things. Count for God and so.
-
I also got to chat with guys from South America, actually got
-
to minister alongside a young guy called Daniel who leads a
-
church in Columbia, which is north of South America.
-
And the the short story is his father led the church and his
-
father passed away suddenly. And so the leadership team went,
-
well, we don't know who's going to lead.
-
We pray about it. And they pointed to him and
-
said, we think you're the guy you lead.
-
He's got. I've not been on the.
-
Pastoral team before I. Don't know what I'm doing and
-
yet God has appointed. Him to lead the church and I
-
just say man, God does mighty. Things with inexperienced people
-
like he just raises people up and says OK you're going to lead
-
my people like he called reminded of the Daniel the
-
David, the shepherd boy right. Inexperience had never LED a
-
Kingdom and God said I'm anointing you at a young.
-
Age to lead. My people and lead.
-
This great nation of Israel. And he he had been through
-
training grounds. And then God said I point you.
-
To to do this. And I just, I reflected on that
-
Daniel, this young guy is about my age being thrown to church
-
and said here, lead us please, because we see the call of God.
-
And God is at work in him, and God is at work throughout the
-
churches in Columbia. And we caught up.
-
It's funny, we travelled halfway around the world.
-
And caught up with a whole bunch of Aussies, surely?
-
There's a better way that we could do it, like in shopping
-
centres. I'm like, hey, you're an Aussie.
-
This is why can't we catch up in our own country.
-
But it gave us an opportunity outside of our.
-
Context to say, hey, what is God doing?
-
And we caught up with guys who are over in Sydney Glorious
-
Gospel Church. They are celebrating 35 years
-
today, 35 years as a base church.
-
In Sydney. And over the past three years,
-
they've planted three other. Churches.
-
God really stirred their heart. And said we need to.
-
Get back to what God has called us to do, which is.
-
To plant churches. And they're opening up and
-
breaking ground in Sydney. They're seeing these churches
-
thrive, like people are coming to know Christ in the north, in
-
the West, in their central campus and the new church plant,
-
Eden Church. Which is turning 1 today.
-
God is at. Work God is at.
-
Work in our nation do you believe that right we we shared
-
a scripture just before we left in Ephesians 310 that just said
-
that God's intent was the now through the.
-
Church, the manifold wisdom of God would be made known.
-
Do you believe that around the world God is busy planting,
-
strengthening, enlarging churches so that he can reveal
-
his manifold wisdom to the world?
-
Like, I know that we can pray and we say, you know,
-
governments need to change and these things need.
-
To change, but ultimately. God's plan is through.
-
The church. And one of the things that we
-
prayed for as we go, that we would get a.
-
Picture of what? God.
-
Was doing through. His church around the world and
-
man, I want you to be encouraged that God is at work in his
-
church throughout the world he's.
-
Breaking open nations. He's seeing people saved.
-
He's he's establishing base. Churches that can actually reach
-
other parts of the nations. Of the world, isn't that.
-
Cool, isn't that amazing? This.
-
Is why we go to. These things it's not, not.
-
Just, you know, teaching is great, but it's actually that we
-
can see and we can hear and we can get alongside people and say
-
what is God doing in the nations?
-
Of the world. And that in US we can carry.
-
Something and be enlarged in what God wants to do.
-
Is that cool? So let's just quickly pray.
-
Father, we thank you for what you're doing around the world.
-
We thank you for what the opportunity to travel to South
-
Africa to meet with people from different nations and to hear of
-
how you are establishing lampstands in every nation of
-
this world. You are planting lampstands in
-
every continent that shine light in a in a dark and broken world
-
and that you are busy building your church.
-
And we thank you God that you are a global God as much as you
-
are a personal God here this morning.
-
You are a global God at work through countless lamp stands,
-
bringing glory to your son, bringing glory to your name.
-
And we thank you for the work you're.
-
Doing in Jesus name, everybody said Amen, Amen, Amen, right.
-
I want to bring us back to another.
-
Word that was shared just. Before just before we left and
-
kind of it brings a bit of a kind of the broad strokes that I
-
think were shared through the global equip and just some of
-
the stuff I've felt in God for us as a people on the back of
-
that word. You know, you guys believe that
-
God speaks prophetically, right? He speaks through His words, and
-
the prophetic words will always back this up, and this will
-
always back up what God says. But God also speaks through
-
people. Around our seasons and around.
-
What he wants to do? In and through US.
-
And so we need to have ears to listen to what God is saying.
-
That's first thing. Second thing, we know that God.
-
Speaks in our hearts, right? The God isn't so much.
-
Concerned with information up. Here as he is.
-
Concerned with revelation in here.
-
Yeah, and that's what brings. About our transformation and
-
what God really wants to do. You get that, Cool.
-
And so I want to. I've got.
-
I've got. This.
-
And I know it's not very big I. Had hoped that I could.
-
Have something a little bit bigger?
-
It's a toy cylinder. Foam thing for the recording.
-
That Dan, just before we left, you kind of stood up and we
-
asked him what did you feel God wants to do for our church?
-
And he said, I feel like it's a baton relay.
-
He said. I feel like we're standing there
-
and God has got a baton for us waiting.
-
To actually take hold of what he wants to do.
-
Through. Us as a people and.
-
Maybe this happened for you, maybe it didn't, but in my
-
spirit I went. I feel like that's a word.
-
For us, I feel like. God is wanting to say something
-
through that. And Dan went on and he said more
-
than the baton relay, more than that God is giving.
-
Something into our hand. For us to run to, he says we've
-
got to get in position, he said. There's no point if God is
-
wanting to hand us a baton. Just standing there looking at
-
the sky, Dan was like, we've got to be in position to actually.
-
Carry what he's passing on to US.
-
And what he? Wants us to carry.
-
And I want to talk this morning just a little bit about position
-
yourself is kind of my title, Position yourself.
-
As we say, it's no point in me standing staring at the sky if
-
God is trying to give me something to carry.
-
And advance his Kingdom. I have to actually get in
-
position. If you watch the baton relay in
-
the Olympics, you won't find them all standing there and just
-
kind of glancing up and having a good.
-
Chat to the guy next to them as that baton is coming closer.
-
They're getting ready. To take hold of it and run with
-
what God is called and in Habakkuk.
-
Two, I think it's Habakkuk. Two, it says, you know.
-
Write down this vision that he who.
-
Picks it up, may run with it right?
-
And so there's a. There's a context there that
-
when we. Catch God's vision.
-
Catch. What God wants to do, He's
-
expecting us to run. He's not.
-
Expecting us to kind of take a slow pace or anything like that.
-
He's saying, man, I've called you to run with what I've called
-
what I've called you to do I. Haven't called you to stroll?
-
I haven't. Called you to meander.
-
I've called you to run hard after the things of the Kingdom.
-
So God has called us to run hard.
-
Amen. And so I've got 6 things that I
-
feel the things that we must. Kind of catch.
-
Or take hold of or things that we must that help us position
-
ourselves. To carry what God wants to do.
-
Right. As I mentioned before, God
-
speaks through revelation more than He does information so that
-
we can actually carry what He wants to do.
-
And I want to just give you 6 things, six kind of areas of
-
revelation that we need to carry.
-
In our hearts. In order to run with what God
-
has for you as an individual. In order to run with what God
-
has for us as a people here, in order for us to run with what
-
God has in our togetherness across the city and across the
-
globe, there are things we need. To catch in here.
-
There are things we need to. Hold deep within us.
-
And be utterly convinced of, because if we're not convinced
-
of them and God goes to give us that baton, it's likely we're
-
going to fumble with it or we're not going to be in position.
-
We're going to have a slow start.
-
Like, I'm sure you've seen it in the Olympics when somebody's not
-
quite ready for that baton. And it just, it sets them behind
-
a little bit. But I feel like God is saying,
-
hey, position yourself, position yourself and I will give you
-
something to carry and to run into all that I've called you to
-
carry. And so there's six things that I
-
feel we need to carry. Inside of us and to position our
-
hearts for what He is. Doing and for what he.
-
Wants to do into our. Future and the first one is this
-
and these were kind of broad strokes from the global
-
equipment as well. The first one is that we need to
-
carry. In In Our Hearts, a revelation
-
of the Person of God. We need to know Him.
-
That's the slogan of New Covenant.
-
Ministries International is to know.
-
Christ. And to make him known.
-
And last week, Hillary shared from John 17.
-
Three. The word it says.
-
This is eternal. Life that you may know him and
-
the one whom he has sent. We must catch a revelation of
-
who God is and what He is like in our hearts because that that
-
is where everything stems from, like our revelation of Jesus is.
-
We'll determine how we. Respond to what he wants to do.
-
And so we need to. Catch in US a revelation of the
-
Person of God. We need to know Him.
-
Know what he's like. Know.
-
What he likes know what he doesn't like?
-
So we need to catch. In here a revelation of the
-
person. Of God, the second thing I feel
-
we need to. Catch a revelation of in our
-
hearts. Is we need to know.
-
The plan of God. The plan of God on the earth.
-
As we already spoke out of Ephesians and in.
-
Hebrews 1 and in Colossians. Chapter 2 it talks about the
Colossians 2 chapter mention
-
plan of God and it says this says Jesus is the plan like.
-
Effectively in Hebrews chapter 1 it says you know in the past God
Hebrews 1 chapter mention
-
spoke through his prophets. But now he's.
-
Spoken to us through his. Son and in.
-
Colossians, chapter one or two. It says.
-
That he is the first. Born.
-
He is the head. He is the.
-
Ultimate He is the 1, and in Ephesians 19 to 10 it says that
-
this was God's purpose that He would reveal.
-
We'll actually put that Scripture up if we can be
-
Ephesians. Chapter One, Nine to 10.
-
I think it's really cool. Or if you've got your Bibles
-
too, I'd encourage you to open those up.
-
So He made known to us the mystery of His will, His plan.
-
Remember, we're talking about catching the revelation of His
-
plan in our. Hearts.
-
He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His
-
good pleasure which He purposed. In Christ.
-
Next verse to put into effect when the times will have reached
-
the fulfilment to bring all things in heaven and on earth
-
together under one head even. Christ.
-
God's plan was Jesus. God's plan from right from the
-
beginning when man. Fell God.
-
Promised. Hey, there's a chosen.
-
Seed that's going to come and he's going to crush Satan.
-
And then he promised Abraham, through your seed the nations
-
will be blessed. And then we see the Passover
-
lamb, and we see these revelations of Christ right up
-
into the cross. And then here we are on the
-
other side of the cross and we're just pointing back and
-
say, look. At what Jesus has done.
-
And look at what he is doing in the earth.
-
God's. Plan is Jesus, God's plan is the
-
extension of. The King and his Kingdom
-
throughout the earth. We need to catch that.
-
That this, this isn't about his plan is not good preaching.
-
His plan is not good music as much as those stuff is.
-
Great. His plan is that Jesus would be
-
proclaimed in the nations. His plan is that Jesus would be
-
revealed, that Jesus is the ultimate reconciler.
-
When we were in South Africa, I got.
-
Asked at a lunchtime. To go preach at a church that.
-
Evening we had. Sessions all afternoon.
-
I had no idea when I would prep. But as I was.
-
Walking. I was chatting with Dan.
-
He's like, what are you going to preach on?
-
And I'm like. I have no clue man.
-
Like I've got like this 15 minute.
-
Walk back to the meeting. To figure out.
-
What I'm going to preach on and I.
-
Felt just as we were walking I felt God say man there's.
-
Like just preach Jesus. And I was like.
-
Really. That's so cliche.
-
That's cliche, right? We're like everyone's talking
-
about Jesus. Why can't can't I speak
-
something like really cool around leadership and he's like
-
just speak Jesus. And just for me personally, it
-
was a revelation. That actually Jesus is enough.
-
Why? Because Jesus is God's.
-
Plan right and we. Need good teaching on
-
leadership, and we need good teaching on godliness, and we
-
need good teaching on all of those kinds of things.
-
But ultimately, we need to preach Jesus.
-
We need to show Jesus God is in the business of promoting his
-
Son, of lifting up his Son, because as the Bible says.
-
As I am lifted up, Jesus said, as I am lifted up, so I will
-
draw all men unto myself. And so that's why we praise,
-
that's why we preach, that's why we gather is so that ultimately
-
we can lift him up and say, look at him.
-
Don't look at us, look at him. We need to catch in our hearts
-
the plan of God is that Jesus would be lifted up.
-
Is that cool? So that we need to catch in our
-
hearts. The person of.
-
God, the plan of God, Dudley shared with us a couple of weeks
-
ago. Just around God.
-
'S heart for the Church is to be a prophetic Apostolic Church,
-
and so I just. Kind of phrase it a little bit
-
differently. Hope you don't mind that we need
-
to catch the. Prophetic Apostolic mandate of
-
God. That we need to understand the
-
prophetic that God. Is a speaking God and the
-
Apostolic that God is a sending God.
-
We need to understand and catch in our hearts that God.
-
Wants to speak to us. God wants to speak to you as an
-
individual. He is a communicating God.
-
He is a speaking God. He wants to direct us through
-
his Word, through the. Prophetic.
-
He wants to speak into us, He wants to speak through us to
-
encourage other people, but God. Also wants to send us.
-
He wants to send us not just to the nations, but he does want to
-
send us to. The nations.
-
He wants to send us to our next door neighbor.
-
He wants to send. Us to our workplace God.
-
Has called us. On mission with him and we need
-
to. Catch in our hearts the this
-
mandate from God is that He is both a speaking God and He is a.
-
Sending God, and he has sent us, and he has sent you.
-
Very reason we are here is because.
-
He is a sending God. And we see that even in Jesus,
-
for God to love the world that he.
-
Gave or he sent his. Only son, right?
-
Right. God is a sending God.
-
And then Jesus comes. He says now you go and make
-
disciples of all nations. God is a sending God.
-
And so we need to know first of all the Person of God.
-
We need to know the plan of God. We need to catch in our.
-
Hearts his. His.
-
Mandate the prophetic. Apostolic mandate of God.
-
Right, we need to also. Understand and catch in our
-
hearts the eternal purpose of God.
-
We need to know His purpose and. So the difference between the
-
plan and the purpose are just two words that simply mean very
-
similar. But we need to know God's plan
-
on the earth, but we also need to know his purpose for
-
eternity. And one of the guys at the
-
Global Equip, he said this and I love the phrase He's going.
-
We need to remember that this thing doesn't end with a war.
-
The last chapter of the Bible is not ending with a war.
-
It's ending with a wedding. We need to remember that.
-
Everything that God is doing. Here is targeted at one day the
-
wedding feast of the Lamb, and when I catch in my heart what
-
God's eternal purpose is, I look at this and I go.
-
God is preparing a bride for himself.
-
God is ultimately he's preparing me.
-
Not just for here and now, but he's preparing me for that day
-
and so when he's working. On me, when he's working through
-
me, I keep my eyes. On eternity and I've caught His
-
eternal plan and purpose is that He is preparing a bride for
-
himself When you look at the person next to you.
-
You realize that God? Is working in them for that day.
-
He's working in them, yes, to have an impact.
-
Here and now, but He's also working in them for the eternal
-
purpose of God, which is that He is preparing a people for
-
Himself. So we need to.
-
Understand and catch in our hearts as we as we position
-
ourself, we position ourself with the eternal purpose of God
-
in our hearts that this is all coming towards a wedding day.
-
And when I, as I say, when I catch that, I understand
-
everything that he is doing, the seasons, the the work that he
-
is. Doing in me the work that.
-
He's doing through me is ultimately preparing me for that
-
day because in in Ephesians chapter 6, I think it says it's
Ephesians 6 chapter mention
-
talks about that he is preparing a radiant and spotless bride, a
-
radiant and spotless bride. Every work he's doing is to make
-
us radiant and spotless for that day.
-
And I need to catch in my heart the eternal purpose of God.
-
So we've got the Person of God, the plan of God, the prophetic
-
Apostolic mandate of God, the purpose of God in preparing a
-
bride. Two more.
-
We need to. Catch in our hearts the pattern
-
of God. We need to catch, we need to
-
carry in here to position ourselves for what God wants to.
-
God wants to do in and through me.
-
I need to know his. Pattern and what I.
-
In simplicity I mean. His his word, but it's.
-
Bigger than that, we need to know the pattern of God for my
-
life. As a dad, I need to know the.
-
Pattern of. God for raising my children.
-
As a husband, I need to know the pattern of God.
-
Of how a husband treats his wife.
-
As a church leader, I need to know and carry in my heart God.
-
What is your pattern for your church?
-
How do you want this thing to work?
-
It's not a formula. It's not like I can do 2 songs
-
and you know, have a Holy Spirit keyboard underneath and people
-
are going to raise their hand to give their life.
-
It's it's not a formula. It's a.
-
Pattern. It's a way that God has designed
-
it to work, and it doesn't make a lot of sense.
-
We were chatting as an eldership team on Thursday, trying to
-
unpack the scriptures, and they're like, but in this case
-
it's true. And in that case it's true.
-
And we're like. But it's a.
-
Pattern of God, not a formula of God.
-
But we need to have it in here. We need to understand first of
-
all that. God has a pattern.
-
God has a pattern for our. Life Did you know that God has a
-
pattern for. How we are to conduct our life,
-
every area of our life. The Word of God talks about
-
every area it talks. About our money.
-
It talks about the way we. Treat each other.
-
It talks about my words. It talks.
-
About the way I treat other people and my wife.
-
It talks about how I raise my kids the word of God.
-
Has a pattern for every area of my life and I need to carry in
-
my heart his pattern. Not my ideas, not my thinking,
-
not. Not.
-
What I just think is best but his way and as I do.
-
That I'm positioning myself ready to carry.
-
Everything that what God wants to do.
-
So we need to carry. In us the pattern of God for
-
every area of our life. Finally, number six, we need to
-
carry in us the power of God. We can.
-
Do all of this, but we must understand that God is a
-
powerful working God. In Acts chapter 1, when Jesus
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
was about to be ascended, he said, wait in Jerusalem, the
-
Holy Spirit will come upon you and you'll be powered to be
-
witnesses, right? To a cloth with power.
-
From on high we understand that God.
-
We need to understand the power of God.
-
The reason that's so important is because we can, we can pray.
-
We've spoke in our prayer meeting this morning around.
-
Just even the power of prayer, right when I catch in here, and
-
I understand that, the power of prayer.
-
That it's not about my words. It's not.
-
About the way I pray, it's actually about his power.
-
And we see throughout the early church that it was both.
-
The word of God came. But it also came with power, and
-
it was the power of God to save it.
-
Was the power of God to heal. It was the power of God that set
-
people free. It was the power of God to open
-
prison doors that wasn't man's elaborate plans or efforts.
-
This was the. Power of God at work.
-
And Romans 116 Paul says I'm not ashamed of the gospel.
-
For it is the very power of God unto salvation, right?
-
We need to understand that this gospel carries power.
-
When we preach, when we speak. When we live our lives in such a
-
way, we rest on the power of God.
-
Paul again. He writes in one.
-
Corinthians and says I didn't. Come.
-
With eloquent words or wise tales.
-
But I came rest. That your.
-
Faith might rest on the power of Christ, not on my eloquent
-
preaching. We need to catch in our hearts
-
that we need to rest on the power of God in our life.
-
And so we we have 6 things that I believe we can help us be
-
positioned to. Carry what God wants to do.
-
And that's what God wants to do. Here in this.
-
Place, but also what God wants to do through you.
-
And so the first one again is the person of God.
-
We have to carry a revelation of who?
-
God is in our hearts what he is like, what he likes, what he
-
doesn't like, that we need to know who He is personally, that
-
that word know is not just head knowledge, it's a.
-
Revelation. We need to.
-
Know the Person of God. We need to know His plan.
-
His ultimate plan is Jesus. Reconciling everything under
-
Jesus. Jesus is His is his plan.
-
We need to know. The prophetic Apostolic mandate
-
of God that he is. Both wanting to speak through us
-
and to us. But he's also wanting to send us
-
that we are on. Mission with him.
-
Co labourers with what he wants to do in the earth.
-
We. Need to understand his eternal
-
purpose that. Everything we do here.
-
Isn't just for here and now, it's ultimately preparing a
-
bride for Christ. We need to understand that He
-
has a pattern for every area. We need to carry in our hearts
-
the pattern of God. Study the scriptures.
-
Find his pattern, find his ways. How we?
-
Meant to administrate our lives. God has a pattern and we carry
-
in here. And lastly, we rest on the power
-
of God. We understand in here that God
-
is a powerful God and that he brings liberation, he brings
-
freedom, that he's the one that saves, that this gospel, this
-
message that we carry is a powerful gospel.
-
And that's what we shared. Right at the beginning where
-
people are going into different nations and planning churches,
-
not because it's. They're great, but because they
-
understand that God's powerful and that God can change a
-
nation. And so can I encourage you this
-
morning, My encouragement is position yourself position.
-
Yourself look at these. 6 areas and say God, what do I need a
-
greater revelation of? What area do I need a greater
-
revelation of because I want. To be one of those people that
-
win that as you give me what you want to, what you want me to.
-
Do I'm able to run? That I'm able to run with
-
everything we want to be as a church.
-
We want to be a people that as God gives us what he does, and
-
as he continues to move in our midst, we want to be a.
-
People that run with everything that he's called us to carry, is
-
that true? Amen.
-
Father, we thank you for what you're wanting to do in and
-
through us as a people. And so we pray, Lord, you will
-
give us greater revelation, stir our hearts in Jesus name for a
-
greater revelation that we would position ourselves for
-
everything you want to do, you through US, in US and beyond us,
-
we thank you. For this in Jesus name, Amen.
-
Awesome. Thank you, Justin for that word.
-
Sitting there there was just this feeling.
-
The goal was just like these six points.
-
We've heard them over and over and over again if we've been in
-
the church for a while, but we need to hear it again.
-
There are something in those six points each and of us are going
-
Yep, God, I need more of that. I need more revelation of that.
-
And as I was sitting there, I just felt this passage where we
-
it's a well known passage at Matthew 77 says ask and you
-
shall have seek and you shall find.
-
Knock and the door will open, right.
-
That's what we're doing here. If we don't have the purpose in
-
our in our vision, we don't have the plan in our vision, we don't
-
have the understanding of the power in our vision.
-
Ask, seek, knock on that door, which is always Jesus.
-
It always comes back to having a revelation of Jesus coming back
-
to the word. It's Jesus, it's his word.
-
He is revealing things that we don't understand.
-
Jesus can only reveal it. We can't reveal it, right?
-
So I don't know if you wanted to stand with me right now.
-
There's an opportunity to respond to him.
-
There's six points, but one might be more highlighted to you
-
or a couple. But let's just take this moment
-
to seek God and ask in our hearts.
-
Lord reveal. We knock on the door again.
-
Lord, He says, when you seek you with our whole heart, we will
-
find what we ask and we find you.
-
So Jesus today, why don't you do that real those things that we
-
need to hear again, those things that be stirred up again, your
-
prophetic Apostolic mandate, your plan, your purpose, your
-
power, the person what you like and don't like.
-
Come and do that work now. And Lord, as we go from this
-
place, keep us reminded, keep in the forefront of our mind these
-
things, the power of the gospel, these things that we can walk
-
out, that we can continue to this week to ask and seek for
-
fresh revelation so that we can walk in all that you've called
-
us to do. That we we'll be able to be
-
ready and positioned for the batten, that you're ready for
-
our lives, the pattern for our lives that would reveal you to
-
those that are seeking and hurting and lost.
-
Lord, let's position ourselves, Lord, this week for the purpose
-
You have the plan that you were set in motion for us to reveal
-
You to the world. We pray these things in your
-
Son's name, Amen. Thank you for joining us for
-
today's message. For more information about The
