  1. Welcome to the podcast of the White Church in Adelaide, South

  2. Australia. Normally, if I'm going to

  3. preach, I try to sing softly, so I don't.

  4. My voice just cracks up too early, too quickly.

  5. But with those songs, how can you sing quietly?

  6. So just pray that this voice holds up after all that singing

  7. like that. Well, we're going to read again

  8. few verses from Hebrews chapter 10 and I hope they can put that

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  9. up for us. Hebrews 10 and reading from

  10. verse 19 to verse 25. Therefore, brothers, since we

  11. have confidence, wonderful thing to have confidence, but look at

  12. what the confidence it gives us to do to enter the most holy

  13. place. How by the blood of Jesus moving

  14. on and by a new and living way that's been opened up throughout

  15. for us through the curtain that is his body on that cross, the

  16. curtain in the temple. They tell me it was thick,

  17. thick, thick right across the expanse of the the temple.

  18. And when Jesus rose from the dead that just split, tore

  19. apart, symbolic of his body being broken for us moving on.

  20. And since we have a great priest can't get better than that.

  21. Isn't it wonderful that you and I don't have to go to a single

  22. person. We can go straight to the priest

  23. of all priests. We don't need to go and say,

  24. Father, forgive me this and that only to him, the Father in

  25. heaven. And every time we go there,

  26. Jesus says, Father, my blood. They don't deserve it, they

  27. never will, but they've come in my name and I represent them.

  28. We have an advocate with the Father and he is Jesus Christ

  29. the righteous, and he is the mercy seat, the propitiation,

  30. the atoning sacrifice for our sins seated here.

  31. But isn't it wonderful to know for the sins of the whole world,

  32. every person walking around outside the unsaved, Jesus died

  33. for them. His desire is for them all to

  34. come to Christ. That's his desire.

  35. But reading on, and since we have a great high priest over

  36. the House of God, over the House of God, we don't have human

  37. beings over the House of God. The only over that these elders

  38. have. And when I was an elder, the

  39. only over we really have is the over of protection, not of

  40. supremacy. It's like an umbrella.

  41. It protects us from all the Wiles in the tax accusations.

  42. Everything else the devil comes in, it throws at us.

  43. And there isn't one of us seated here that doesn't have those

  44. attacks from time to time. Some have them more often than

  45. others, but we all have them, and we have that.

  46. Remember, He's over the House of God reading on.

  47. And so with all that in mind, let us draw near to God with a

  48. sincere heart, full assurance of faith, Having our hearts

  49. sprinkled like they did. They took the blood that

  50. sprinkled it on the doorposts, having our hearts sprinkled to

  51. cleanse us from guilty conscience.

  52. Bear that in mind. Make an underlining in your

  53. heart of that that he cleanses us from a guilty conscience.

  54. Some some of those the translation.

  55. So he purges us, purges us like fire purges blood purges it

  56. cleans from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed

  57. with pure water. Next verse please. 23 Let us

  58. hold unswervenly, never giving up, never none of this, just a

  59. straight line. And let us hold unswervingly,

  60. unswervingly to the hope we profess for.

  61. Not because I've got great faith, not because you people

  62. are praying for me or we're praying for each other.

  63. That's so just a contributing factor.

  64. The major issue is for he who is prior, who promised it is

  65. faithful. I have faith not in my faith.

  66. I have faith in His faithfulness.

  67. Lots of people have faith in their faith, and so when they

  68. don't feel like they have faith, they don't have faith.

  69. They live in negativity. Most of those who have faith and

  70. faith will go through long periods of negativity because

  71. their faith isn't what they want it to be.

  72. My faith has never been what I want it to be, and I've been

  73. saved for over 50 years, but my faith isn't my the amount of

  74. faith I have. It's in the faithfulness of God.

  75. I hope you get that and let's move on and let us consider how

  76. we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds and

  77. the last verse. And let us not give up meeting

  78. together as some other in the habit of doing.

  79. Bear that in mind, you know, and Anna and I, we have a we read

  80. something every morning together.

  81. This morning we read out, we were reading out a one-on-one

  82. Watchmen, these daily devotional books.

  83. And then it was today was about that scripture and I stopped and

  84. thought how often we just don't come because it's not

  85. convenience, got other things on the agenda or we had a late

  86. night or even sometimes unnecessary work.

  87. Think about that. God says in the light of all

  88. that Jesus is and has done for us not to bring guilt on us.

  89. He's just saying you want all of that to work in your life.

  90. It comes through the blood, but we need to just meet the

  91. conditions. That's all.

  92. None of those things earn it. All I do is keep the passage

  93. open for the Holy Spirit to pour all He wants.

  94. That's all they do. It doesn't make us worthy.

  95. We can never earn it. So let us not give up meeting

  96. together as some are in the habit of doing, but let us

  97. encourage one another. Now, I can't encourage David if

  98. David's not here. But I want to tell you something

  99. more. I can't encourage David by

  100. telling him, you know, that last night that the 30 Sixers won or

  101. the night before, that might encourage him for a moment.

  102. That's not the encouragement God's talking about.

  103. It's the encouragement that builds us up in the faith.

  104. So what do we do when we come in the morning?

  105. What do we talk about anyway? dot, dot, dot, we'll see where

  106. we go with that and then and all the more as you see the day

  107. approaching. And that can't be too long now,

  108. if Paul, who was so spiritual that he even went up into the

  109. third heavens, if he had believed that in his time 2082

  110. thousand years ago, Jesus was going to come back, do you know

  111. how much more closer we are to it now?

  112. Right. So today we continue the subject

  113. of the blood of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, one of the most

  114. valuable, most precious, one of the most amazing portions of the

  115. word of God or truths of in the contained in the word of God is

  116. this the blood of Jesus. It's opened up so much for us.

  117. It's made available to us now and it's going to be a made

  118. available to us forever, even into eternity, the blood of

  119. Jesus. So I, I, I just want to say this

  120. again. I don't want to repeat my

  121. message from last week, but I do want to say that everything that

  122. the blood is going to do for us in our lives has to be applied

  123. by faith, that we have to just simply take God at His word.

  124. Faith is simply resting in what God says and what God has done.

  125. Really, at the end of the day, it isn't something you've got to

  126. conjure up. But in the book of Romans,

    Romans 10:9

  127. chapter 10, verses 9 and 10, it tells us that if we confess with

  128. our mouths and if we believe in our hearts, and then it goes on

  129. to say that with with our hearts, we believe with our

  130. mouths, we profess our faith. So that's that's what it means

  131. to apply the blood that they did in the Exodus chapter 12, Exodus

    Exodus 12 chapter mention

  132. 12. We've got to apply the blood and

  133. part of how we apply the blood. All of this is by faith are some

  134. of the things we'll touch as we move through today.

  135. But I won't be able to emphasize too much on that.

  136. That's why I'm wanting to hear ask you listen to those things

  137. that I say that I believe come out of the word of God about how

  138. we apply the blood. There's a whole lot of things

  139. how we exercise our faith, but one of the major things is

  140. confessing. And the word confess isn't that

  141. I come and say to you, you know, I confess that I've done

  142. something. Because when you come to God and

  143. say, you know God, I just confess I lied.

  144. It's like God says, hello. Do you think I didn't know that?

  145. And thanks for informing me. And what God is actually saying

  146. is, do you agree with me? That's what confession means.

  147. It's to agree with God. I want that to sink in somewhere

  148. along the line. I've got to say what God says

  149. and stop saying what others say, or even what the devil says, or

  150. even what my inward thoughts want to tell me.

  151. I've got to start speaking out God, because you said I confess

  152. what you say is true. That's what it means that it's

  153. in confess with your mouths. Now there can be that we're

  154. telling others about it as well, but that's not what it's

  155. referring to in the Scripture. So that's one of the ways we

  156. apply the blood of Jesus. We stop lying to ourselves and

  157. listening to the devil and we start saying about ourselves,

  158. our sin, sicknesses, diseases, whatever it is, we got to start

  159. saying, I agree with you, Jesus. Now, that doesn't mean you deny

  160. the fact that you may be sick. And we'll come to that in a

  161. moment. But if you keep on confessing,

  162. look how sick I am, Father. Look at I can't do this because

  163. I'm so sick. Now, when you get to my age,

  164. you're getting older to keep on saying I can't do all these

  165. things because I'm so old. Now, there are certain

  166. limitations upon us because of the fall of Adam, but we place a

  167. lot of of limitations on our lives by simply confessing the

  168. wrong things all the time. Yes, I am getting older, but

  169. Moses and so many of these other guys only started the ministries

  170. at around about my age. Not too many, but a few.

  171. I don't want to make anybody feel bad, but I'm just saying

  172. let's start to confess the word of God.

  173. This is the day the Lord has made.

  174. I will rejoice. I will be happy in it.

  175. God gives me strength for each day.

  176. As your day, so shall your strength be.

  177. I'm trying not to speak along these lines because I want to

  178. get to the all. This is about the blood of

  179. Jesus. All right, So what did we say

  180. last week? Quickly, the blood of Jesus

  181. gives us access into the very throne room of God.

  182. That was the first thing that you can come as often as you

  183. like. You can come every 10 seconds

  184. for 24 hours a day, etcetera. Secondly, the blood of Jesus

  185. gives us confidence to enter that place.

  186. Don't have to come and say, well God, I just sin so badly, I

  187. don't you know, I can't come back.

  188. He just says come Christ of Jesus, the blood is shed for

  189. that sin. You just do, you know that Jesus

  190. knew that you would commit sins if you leave here today and you

  191. commit 1. He knew that before He made the

  192. world. He knew you would sin today

  193. before you were even born, before the creation.

  194. He's not caught off guard. That's why we can come with

  195. confidence. I'm wanting you to understand

  196. this is only because of the blood, not because of you, not

  197. because you turning over a good leaf or you repenting that opens

  198. the way, but it's only because Jesus shed His blood.

  199. Thirdly, the blood redeems us. I said, and I said there were

  200. nine things that that redemption uncovers and I would love to

  201. talk about them again, but I can't.

  202. I'm just going to say he redeems us to be to be redeems when he's

  203. redeemed us. He's set us free from the slave

  204. market of sin. He's set us free.

  205. He redeemed us, taken us out of the slave market of sin, but

  206. he's also taken out of us out of the need to fulfil the law,

  207. living under it, trying our best, energy, effort.

  208. It's all done for us. Jesus did it.

  209. And thirdly, it reflected, it redeems us from the eternity

  210. lost without Christ. The wrath of God will not be

  211. poured out upon me because of Jesus blood.

  212. It's been poured out on him. So that's for every one of us in

  213. this meeting today. Redemption is covers

  214. justification. I can't deal with it.

  215. I'd love to. It deals with righteousness.

  216. It deals with forgiveness, it deals with cleansing from all

  217. sin, all sin he cleanser. I gave all the scriptures last

  218. time we were you last week. It also purges our consciences

  219. from all dead works. And I want to say this again,

  220. all what are dead works? Every dead work is everything

  221. you and I do. Even the things we say we're

  222. doing for Jesus that are not done in the power of the Holy

  223. Spirit with faith, it's a dead work.

  224. You could have been sitting there today singing those great

  225. songs and thinking of other things.

  226. Dead work preachers can stand up here and preach the Bible and

  227. not trusting God, the Holy Spirit to do the work, trusting

  228. their own abilities. That's a dead work.

  229. Flesh only gives birth to flesh. Anything done outside of the

  230. power of the Holy Spirit related to the things of God is a dead

  231. work. So we just need to learn to

  232. depend more upon the Holy Spirit because in His cleansing or

  233. purging of our consciences, He opened the way for the Spirit of

  234. God's life to be kept on pouring into us.

  235. Now talking about these things that open the way.

  236. All right, firstly, I said it makes us holy.

  237. It reconciles us. Reconciliation.

  238. God and I, we're no longer separated.

  239. No matter what the devil says and no matter what people say,

  240. God and I are not no longer separated.

  241. We reconcile, but the beauty is that that flows to you and I,

  242. every one of us, between us. God has made it available for us

  243. all to be reconciled. If there's someone sitting in

  244. the here today and you know you've got alt against anybody,

  245. no matter what they've done, how bad they treated you, God has

  246. made it possible and available for you to be reconciled.

  247. All you got to do is just obey him.

  248. He may say, call that person and say sorry.

  249. Call that person and just say, can we have a cup of coffee?

  250. If they are elsewhere in the world.

  251. Just a text. I really regret what I did

  252. except God says the blood has made all that possible.

  253. I'm taking too long on this. It's made a ton for us, brought

  254. us into oneness. God and I at one through the

  255. shedding of his blood and let me move on and it sanctifies us.

  256. Not only does it separate us from sin, but it purges us,

  257. cleanses us, and makes us pure. It's an ongoing process.

  258. The process of sanctification will last until Jesus says that

  259. we come up here or I look up and He's coming down to take us.

  260. That's true for all of us. It's a lifelong process.

  261. So now we come to the third, the fourth thing, The first one, the

  262. blood gives us access. Secondly, it gives us confidence

  263. to approach the throne of grace. And thirdly, it redeems us.

  264. But now we come to the fourth thing that the blood does, and

  265. this is where we start this morning.

  266. If the blood gives us authority, authority In my devotions this

  267. morning in the Book of Revelation I was reading there,

  268. I think it's Revelation 12, my daily devotion.

  269. I always ask God, God, if I'm going to be preaching on the

  270. subject. Give me confirmations day by day

  271. that I've got the right word. And here I am.

  272. And I overcame him, Satan, by the blood of the Lamb and by the

  273. word of the testimony. And they did not love their

  274. lives even unto death. The blood of the Lamb, it gives

  275. us victory. We can overcome Satan at every

  276. level. No matter what the temptation,

  277. remember this through that blood.

  278. God says this. I will not allow any temptation

  279. to to overtake you. I will always make a way of

  280. escape, not because you're so good or you now made a

  281. commitment to try and do better next time, he says no, my

  282. commitment is no temptation Will I'll not allow anything to come

  283. and beat you because of the blood.

  284. Now if you don't believe that you're going to be overcome.

  285. If you think, man, I've been walking now for so many years.

  286. I'm good now and now I really got in control of this thing.

  287. I'm, I'm a winner. You know, I'm in victory.

  288. The moment you think that the devil's listening, he's

  289. watching. He's looking for avenues to get

  290. in and he'll attack. And you no strength to beat him.

  291. It's only by the blood and the blood opens the power of the

  292. Holy Spirit to work in your life.

  293. Mark 16, verses 17 and 18. Can we just quickly put that up

    Mark 16:17

  294. there? Mark 16. 17 and 18 this is the

  295. signs that shall follow them that believe and these signs

  296. will accompany those who believe in my name.

  297. They will drive out demons when there's demon activity if you

  298. feel it's in your home. Now some people say I'm

  299. overboard on this, but when we analyze to travel a lot, we were

  300. often having to stay in hotels and motels and dumpy rooms and

  301. and sometimes we would have it, we would come into places where

  302. what was on the beds, you knew what had happened there.

  303. The night before the sex orgies, it was still on the beds, My

  304. wife sitting there. This is not once, this is not

  305. twice. This is so often.

  306. We used to walk in and just sprinkle the blood by faith.

  307. No matter what's been happening, dear Lord, in the name of Jesus,

  308. we drive out every demon spirit that's had rule and reign in

  309. this room prior to us getting in here and things that this is not

  310. full a formula, just the heart. I remember when we bought the

  311. property that they got in Branston, we bought this whole

  312. Country Club, the whole grounds, 25 acres of it.

  313. And the, the, the last thing that this Country Club had

  314. become. It had been useful.

  315. Lots of different reasons. It, it became the place where

  316. all the witch doctors gathered. That's where they gathered when

  317. we bought this place. We just, I remember taking all

  318. the, the congregation with me. We walked through that place and

  319. we just cleansed it by the authority of the blood of Jesus.

  320. And every single Sunday People came to Christ in the place

  321. where they worship Satan. And I just drops into my mind.

  322. You know, you've heard of Ronald Monkey, one of the greatest

  323. great evangelist of our time. I remember Ronald once saying

  324. this. He says, people quite often say

  325. to me, can you feel the evil here?

  326. And he used to say, no, I can't. And there was evil there.

  327. No, I can't. All I sense is God's presence.

  328. Chris, I'm here. Something like that.

  329. Why am I saying that? Because God wants you to see the

  330. blood really gives you victory. It cleanses it.

  331. It gives that, well, let me move up.

  332. They will not only drive out demons, they'll speak with new

  333. tongues. Why?

  334. Because of the blood. I can speak in tongues.

  335. Now if you want to believe that that's languages, then start to

  336. practice languages. Go out and speak to some causa

  337. or Zulu or Chinese person. Gaia.

  338. But where does this get fulfilled if it's not the

  339. tongues we're talking about, where we can just before God,

  340. speak that language that He gives us when he fills us with

  341. His Holy Spirit. So I won't fight with people.

  342. I just say, well, are you still speaking in tongues?

  343. Any tongues? I'm just being naughty.

  344. Sorry, but I'm being truthful. This is what the blood is

  345. opened. Next verse please.

  346. They will pick up snakes with their hands.

  347. I don't think Jesus is saying go around and look for snakes.

  348. It's if it's accidental like it was with Paul on Malta.

  349. In Malta, as they were making that fire, snake latched onto

  350. him. Some of you may know this man,

  351. he lives here in Australia now. I'm Mike Mcmeekin, he was in the

  352. church in South Africa and I was preaching the similar message.

  353. I don't know if it was on this subject but I was.

  354. I touched the fact that we can pick up snakes.

  355. So he was one of the elders on the in the church.

  356. After that we all went to his home to have this was late at

  357. night. We went there and as we got out

  358. the car, the car car park, there was grass as he snake just

  359. latched onto him, bit him right there and then.

  360. So I mean his wife panicked. Now this guy lives here in

  361. Australia. Now you can go and check it out

  362. with him. If you think I'm kidding you,

  363. you know who I'm talking about. Some of you do.

  364. We walked into his house and his wife wanted to call the doctor,

  365. try and book him into a hospital.

  366. And he said, you know, Dudley's just been preaching on this

  367. thing, let's trust God. And so we did not a single after

  368. effect. And most of the snakes in South

  369. Africa, they don't play around. There's something like our brown

  370. snake yard. They're serious contenders

  371. anyway. They place their hands on the

  372. sick people and they will get well and so we could go on.

  373. If will you just turn with me quickly, just skip.

  374. We can pick up Luke chapter 10 verses 18 and 19.

    Luke 10:18

  375. I want to just you to listen to what Jesus said when these

  376. disciples are rejoicing that they they can cast our demons.

  377. They're doing all these things, he said.

  378. I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

  379. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions

  380. and took overcome all the power of the enemy.

  381. Nothing will harm you. Now that doesn't mean you won't

  382. go through hard times and nothing's going to go wrong in

  383. your life. What he's saying is I will not

  384. allow anything to come your way that is outside of my will and

  385. that I can't use for my good. We're going to start having to

  386. believe that. When we don't believe that, then

  387. these things are become very serious problems in our lives.

  388. All right, let's move on. So it gives us authority.

  389. Jesus has given it to us. And Matthew 28 go into all the

  390. world. And that's the condition I think

  391. too. You've got to go.

  392. He says, go into all the world and make disciples of all

  393. nations. And then he says, I'll be with

  394. you always, even unto the end of the age.

  395. But I've given you all that authority I give to you.

  396. All right, next thing. Revelation 12/11.

  397. It gives us protection. We said it gives us victory, but

  398. it also gives us protection. The blood of Jesus is a powerful

  399. weapon of defence and offence. We use the blood.

  400. They overcame him by the blood to overcome you.

  401. It's not defensive, it's attack offensive, but also defensive.

  402. The blood of Jesus, Exodus 12/13.

  403. They painted sprinkled the blood.

  404. But you know, you take Psalm 91. I don't know how often you read

  405. that. It's a Psalm.

  406. You should read about once every week or two.

  407. He that dwells under the shadow of the Almighty and then it just

  408. goes through a list of things that God protects you from and

  409. that God has done for you. Why all of that was possible

  410. because it looked forward to the shedding of the blood and the

  411. blood of Jesus. Nothing else but the blood of

  412. Jesus protection. I wish.

  413. I mean all of these are subject. You want to spend the whole of

  414. that hour on that one subject. Number six, the blood of Jesus

  415. has made peace, peace with God and the peace of God.

  416. The two areas there, there's more than that, But these two I

  417. want to touch for a moment the blood of Jesus.

  418. It says in Colossians 12/1, verse 20, they're having made

  419. peace through the blood shed on the cross.

  420. He's made peace. I'm at peace with God and God's

  421. at peace with me because God looks down on Dudley and says

  422. the blood has been shed. He's looking to it, he's

  423. confessing it, He's trusting me. That's enough for me.

  424. He doesn't remove his peace from me when I'm trusting him because

  425. of the blood. But it also means that I can

  426. have the peace of God. And that's one of those things

  427. that I want all day long. And I wish I could say that I

  428. had it all day long. I don't always, but listen to

  429. what it says. You know the scripture very well

  430. in Where's it Together, Philippians chapter 4, verses 6

    Philippians 4:6

  431. and seven. He says do not be anxious about

  432. anything. I mean that word, anything,

  433. What, what doesn't that cover? Just tell me, give me one

  434. illustration of one thing that anything doesn't cover that

  435. word. Do not be anxious about anything

  436. but with prayer. Prayer, the blood on the

  437. lentils, supplication or intercession, some translations

  438. say, and Thanksgiving, prayer, prayers, general supplication is

  439. more specific. And Thanksgiving.

  440. Now which of those three things can you leave out and still

  441. believe you applying the blood? You tell me none.

  442. So how's it going for me? How's it going for you?

  443. Prayer, supplication and this wonderful word called thank you,

  444. Lord, Thanksgiving. How often do we thank him?

  445. Can I just encourage you when you think of this tomorrow

  446. morning when you wake up before you get out of bed, just get up

  447. before you get out of bed, say Lord, I thank you for another

  448. new day. For me.

  449. I have always say another day. I near so nearly nearly had

  450. never had Chris. I was on that operating table

  451. down in Flinders and I died. 23 extra years and I tell him that

  452. every single morning and he's listening.

  453. Not because I was going to free. You can go back months, years,

  454. for 23 years outside of when I was unconscious on that in that

  455. hospital for a few weekdays. Every single day I thank him for

  456. this new day, a day I so nearly never had.

  457. Start your day, Lord, thank you for the night's sleep.

  458. Or even if I got so little sleep, thank you.

  459. I'm alive again today. This is applying all the

  460. benefits. The blood has opened up for us.

  461. Thanksgiving, prayer, supplication, anything.

  462. And then it says and what will happen and it talks about and

  463. then the peace of God, which transcends all.

  464. It's everything and so you could go reading on our must move on

  465. Ephesians 212 and 14. We won't read it, but it tells

  466. us that Christ is our peace and that peace came through his

  467. blood. And so Isaiah 96 says calls him

  468. the Prince of peace. Next one quickly freedom.

  469. Looking at that clock, Revelation chapter 1 verses 5

    Revelation 1:5

  470. and 6. If we could just put that up

  471. quickly. Talks about Jesus Christ who is

  472. the faithful witness, the first born from the dead and the ruler

  473. of the kings of the earth. Now watch the sixth verse.

  474. To him who loves us, the blood opened up the love to be able to

  475. reach us, the agape love and has freed us from our sins.

  476. How by his blood and has made us to be a Kingdom and priest to

  477. serve his God and Father to him be glory and power forever and

  478. ever. Amen.

  479. How can you not give him glory? But he has freed us from our

  480. sins. Now I want you to underline in

  481. your mind that little word there it is not spelled IM.

  482. It's from you know that in the book of when John wrote that

  483. first letter in 1 John chapter 2 verse one, he tells us these

    1 John 2 chapter mention

  484. things right unto you that you sin not that you don't sin not

  485. even once. But if if any man does sin, we

  486. have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the

  487. righteous, what I what God, what John's trying to tell.

  488. He's the apostle of life. He's not making things hard for

  489. us. He's trying to say you don't

  490. have to sin if you believe in a sinning religion.

  491. It's not the true Bible religion.

  492. It's not true Christianity. When preachers tell you expect

  493. yourself to sin, they are releasing you to release faith

  494. to believe you've got to keep on sinning.

  495. Now it does go on to say if any man does has says he has not

  496. sinned, he's a liar etcetera with the potential to sin is

  497. always there and God it's like the rail railroad here in this

  498. country. Let's take the South Australian,

  499. the one that the gone and all these they don't have on their

  500. agenda on the timetable 11:45 on the 12th of such and such a day

  501. we will have an accident. But they have every contingency

  502. available that when it does, if it happens, they know what to do

  503. about it. That's what the blood is.

  504. It's not saying hey, you all got to go around sinning all day.

  505. It's saying in actual fact, Jesus has freed you from your

  506. sin, but if it does, you do sin, thank God.

  507. Bang, contingent plan, the blood of Jesus.

  508. The blood keeps us clean and frees us from all sin.

  509. Now I don't know how many of you can receive that because even

  510. when I preach it, it is so difficult for me to believe it

  511. myself. We are so used to sinning and

  512. then we get these other people who come from these movements

  513. that say, I just want to give God thanks.

  514. I haven't sinned for the last 15 years.

  515. And my heart says, and you just did now, right now you just told

  516. another lie. You see, it's, it's it's

  517. difficult to say these things, but I'm asking you start to

  518. believe this and you'll see by the process of the working of

  519. the Holy Spirit in your life, these things will happen less as

  520. you begin to believe them in the power of the blood and what

  521. God's right available. So believe this.

  522. Remember this said, well, biblical freedom, this is so

  523. important, Biblical freedom. It's freedom from sin, but it's

  524. freedom to serve. You see, freedom isn't doing

  525. what you like. If you're going to San

  526. Francisco, be sure to wear a flower in your hair.

  527. It's not kind of daisies. And peace, brother.

  528. All those things now. And some of you looking at me.

  529. Well, what's that about? That just tells you you're still

  530. young and you need to be grateful for that.

  531. But I'm trying to say it's not freedom to do what I like, it's

  532. freedom to serve him. Biblical freedom is freedom from

  533. the downward pull of sin. It's freedom from that inward

  534. desire to keep on wanting to sin, to sneak stuff in.

  535. It's freedom from the law. It's actually freedom from the

  536. power of sin, if you want it, but you can't compromise.

  537. It's from to serving and then we won't read this now, but make a

  538. note of this and get read it when you get home.

  539. Romans 8 to the 1st 4 verses. Romans 6 verses three to seven.

  540. A wonderful word. So it's freedom from rules and

  541. rituals, regulations. It's even freedom from religion,

  542. but not freedom to do as you please.

  543. I'm going to say this because I see it and I'm trying to move to

  544. the next point quickly because I want to finish this.

  545. It's freedom to serve God joyfully and it's freedom to

  546. live a spirit LED obedient life to Christ.

  547. That's what the bloods open up for us.

  548. I can, I can serve God joyfully. Oh, I've got to get up, got to

  549. go to the meeting. I've got to preach and I don't

  550. feel like it. It's to serve God joyfully.

  551. I better read my Bible in case and hope I can find someone to

  552. testify against today even though I don't like it.

  553. Just how's it going with your freedom?

  554. It's the ability to live a fulfilled life.

  555. That's what the freedom is. A fulfilled life serving God,

  556. His will and His purposes. And it's available if you want

  557. it. Listen to what 1 Corinthian, I'm

  558. just going to read a little part of this one Corinthians 10/23

  559. and 24. It says Paul says you say to

  560. yourself, I have the right to do anything you say.

  561. But not everything is beneficial.

  562. Not everything is constructive. So he says this and something

  563. that little part of. So no one should seek their own

  564. good, but the good of others. All right, next thing, it

  565. imparts life. The blood of Jesus imparts life.

  566. Can we just put out that John 6553 up there quickly, please,

  567. while he puts it up? I just want to say that the

  568. blood of Jesus gives us that life force that's opened up

  569. because through the blood God can pour that life force into

  570. us. Are we having problems here?

  571. I thought it was a disaster. Somebody had hurt themselves.

  572. All right, it's the life force that takes care of all of our

  573. sins and therefore we can receive God's spiritual life

  574. into our lives and we can fellowship with God and we can

  575. draw from all these abundant resources and we live a whole

  576. new, new life. Jesus said to them and tell

  577. them, I'll tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the

  578. Son of man and drink the blood, you have no life in you.

  579. Now, that's not literally, and let me just say this in passing

  580. because it's so serious. When we take that little cup,

  581. that cup doesn't turn into the blood, the literal real blood of

  582. Jesus that's trying to practice magic.

  583. It's not biblical Christianity. It's an emblem, a symbol.

  584. And how can we fulfill? How can I take that little piece

  585. of bread? And now we've got them where

  586. they're even stuck on the top of the little bottle.

  587. How can I take that and say, wow, this is amazing.

  588. It's it's this has become the body of Christ.

  589. This is his literal flesh. And a whole vast section of

  590. Christian theology believes that that's not what's happening, But

  591. we take it as symbolic. This represents your blood

  592. Jesus. This represents your body Jesus.

  593. And through that drawing from Him, we actually open up the

  594. life of God being released in and through our lives.

  595. And I wish I could say much more.

  596. I've got a whole lot more to say there.

  597. But listen, just this one thing. It gives us new life.

  598. And Two Corinthians 517 says that if any man be in Christ, he

  599. is a new creation, the oldest past, the newest.

  600. Come all things on you through the blood of Jesus.

  601. It brings healing, one Peter 224 says.

  602. And by his wounds you have been healed.

  603. Now a lot of people restrict that only to salvation, that

  604. you've been healed from the the disease of sin.

  605. But it also covers our sicknesses for those of us who

  606. struggle with healing, the theology of healing, but also

  607. even with our own illnesses. What I've learned is simply

  608. this, bring what's wrong with you and lay it at the feet of

  609. the cross, feet of Jesus and leave it there and trust God to

  610. work things out. Because when we get back to

  611. Scripture, this is the promise of God.

  612. The blood heals us. But at the same time, we see

  613. that people like Paul himself says, you would have even

  614. plucked out your eyes to help me.

  615. Paul was sick and he was sick till the day he died.

  616. He left his closest ally, the one who was in a sense looks to

  617. me like the one who would have replaced him.

  618. He said to his young son Timothy.

  619. Take a little wine for your stomach's sake and for your

  620. often infirmities. So if Paul, who could raise the

  621. dead also had to face the fact he said Maletus, have I left

  622. Trophemus have I left sick? And Maletus, Paul would have put

  623. his hands on my Trophemus and Trophemus did not get instantly

  624. healed. So if they had some problems.

  625. I'm just trying to be real on this and I feel like I don't

  626. want to grieve God on this thing, but when we just say

  627. everybody gets instantly healed and a lot of us are sitting

  628. saying we haven't been instantly healed and a lot of people who

  629. said they were aren't anymore, it can cause 'cause confusion.

  630. I'm just saying put everything, whatever your ailment is, put it

  631. at the feet of Jesus and then just leave it with Him.

  632. And when you get these symptoms and whatever else, or aches and

  633. pains or whatever else it might be, Jesus, I'm still trusting

  634. you. And I don't know when it'll

  635. happen. I know it can happen right now.

  636. I believe that with all my heart.

  637. But I'm going to have to leave it with you because I can

  638. struggle here and get myself back into condemnation and

  639. guilt. And I know the number of people

  640. around the world alive, some alive today and many dead that

  641. used to criticize me when I went through that bad time.

  642. Many of them are dead today, and they died much younger than me.

  643. I'm 82, some of them died at age 5040, but they criticized me

  644. most. Every person, preacher included,

  645. has to somewhere along the line have a fresh look at the whole

  646. subject of healing. Some of them live in this

  647. country that I that used to look at me and something must be

  648. hidden sin somewhere and now they sick so many of them now

  649. wearing glasses as well hearing aids like me.

  650. And let me just say this as a confession acknowledgement

  651. before God and before you. I used to also preach that here

  652. I am when when you go to put a hearing aid and I mean you hear

  653. what I'm trying to say. Please let God just help you.

  654. Nick. Sing quickly.

  655. It promises us better things. Hebrews 12/24 says the sprinkled

  656. blood that speaks of better things or better word, better

  657. covenant, better promises, better everything.

  658. Wish we could cover more of that.

  659. I've only got four more things quickly.

  660. The blood of Jesus equips us because I can't come back next

  661. week and I'd like to finish at 11 and I see it's 3 minutes

  662. past. So give me some latitude here,

  663. please. Hebrews chapter 13 verses 21 and

    Hebrews 13:21

  664. 20 and 21. If you'll just read that for us,

  665. put that up for us, please. Hebrews 1320 and 21 just wanted

  666. you to see how the blood is linked with with equipping us.

  667. May the God of peace, who threw the blood of the eternal

  668. covenant, brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great

  669. shepherd of the sheep. Now listen to what it says.

  670. May He equip you, He equip you with everything good for doing

  671. His will. And may He work in us what is

  672. pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever

  673. and ever. Amen.

  674. The blood linked with equipping and the ability, the skills,

  675. everything we need for what God calls us to do.

  676. Now, God will not equip you with what he has not called you to

  677. do. But I want to say this to you,

  678. you, you down into the future, wherever he is and anyone else

  679. that God might rise up in the our church and into the future.

  680. If he's called you, he has equipped you.

  681. If you're not feeling the equipping coming through, it's

  682. because you're not confessing or trusting the blood enough, the

  683. finished work of Jesus. Now, if you know, people say to

  684. me, yeah, I can do all things through Christ.

  685. And some of them can't even pull a nail out of a piece of timber

  686. with they're just not practically made.

  687. They don't just that does not work for them.

  688. I can't cook roast beef. It'll just be a charred mess.

  689. It's not my calling, and I may not be the best preacher, but

  690. God equips me to preach with the skill He gives me.

  691. He equips us, all of us. He equips you to be a good

  692. housewife, a Good Wife, a good woman in business, a good

  693. businessman, a good whatever you are.

  694. He equips you when you in His will.

  695. All right #12 I think it is. It also gives us assurance.

  696. The blood of Jesus gives us that assurance. 1 John 5 verses 8

    1 John 5:8

  697. through to 13, and we can't read it all, but that's part of where

  698. Paul says linking it to the blood.

  699. That's why I've, I've said involve the eighth verse as

  700. well, that you may know these things.

  701. Have I written unto you that you may know we have assurance by

  702. the Holy Spirit. I wish I could.

  703. And then it gives us victory. And lastly, he purchased the

  704. church with his blood. He purchased the whole church

  705. with his blood. Acts 2028.

  706. It tells us that he purchased the church with his own blood.

  707. Now that doesn't say the blood of Jesus.

  708. It says God purchased us. Isn't that incredible?

  709. A God who is spirit made flesh. I don't know of any price any

  710. person could ever pay to enjoy the angels, angelic worship, the

  711. fellowship within the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  712. I mean, I know the intimacy of an and my relationship when we

  713. talk to each other, sit with each other, when we enjoy each

  714. other, that's infinite. That's just so small and

  715. insignificant in comparison to the fellowship they would have

  716. had in heaven. And God says, I'm going to go

  717. down there now we just say, well, Jesus came, but remember,

  718. there's only one God, three persons, but it was God in

  719. flesh. He purchased this with his own

  720. blood. And again, all of this, you're

  721. going to have to put the blood on the lentils, confess it,

  722. pray, intercession, praise, agree with God.

  723. And so we could go on. Would you stand with me, please?

  724. I've taken 7 minutes longer than I wanted to.

  725. Those of you who can stand on if you don't have to, I mean, Lord,

  726. I just come before you with this congregation.

  727. And I've talked about the blood that Jesus shed for us.

  728. And Lord, I've done the best I can, but I know it's more than I

  729. could ever, ever adequately convey to this congregation, and

  730. it makes more valuable and precious than even I have

  731. understanding of to this day. We'll never be able to

  732. comprehend in fullness what the blood really means.

  733. But we do ask together as a congregation, help us not to

  734. live like we've lived before, but to lift it from today on in

  735. a different realm of life, with all that the blood is made

  736. available to make use of it. Help us to agree with you, to

  737. take your word seriously, believe what you say in your

  738. faithfulness and all of your blessings.

  739. Help us to live in victory, to serve you willingly from the

  740. heart, and to be available to one another.

  741. So we commit ourselves to you in Jesus name, our families, our

  742. friends, the whole of our future, we put it in your hands

  743. in Jesus name, with Thanksgiving, Amen, Amen.

  744. God bless you. Thank you for joining us for

  745. today's message. For more information about The
