  2. Yes. Good morning. Yes. I’ve got this to share with you regarding obedience to the Lord. I’ve spoken to a few people who have said there’s just too much to obey. There is just so much to think about. I mean, how can you be all that is in the Bible? How can you obey? I mean, there’s too much to think about, but it’s like... this is because you, you focus your attention on thinking, oh, this, this, how am I going to do this, am I going to do that, how am I going to do that. No. But it’s like when you have to… you have a long journey ahead of you. You have a long road to tread ahead of you, or a big mountain to climb. But if you want to look at the size of the mountain, you can’t even make the first step. But if you just do not think about the mountain at all or the amount of work or journey you have ahead of you, but you just focus on that first step, then you will take that first step to the next step. And then the third step and fourth step and so forth. And when you make that first step and the second step, it makes things easy. You don’t think about it, because it becomes a natural thing that you must do. And, eventually, before you know it that you have finished climbing the mountain. You have threaded down that road, and you have finally reached your destination. Yes.

  3. See, we all love food. You love food. And I love food. Food is the only thing that when you call people to come and eat they hardly complain. If you tell someone, come and do this, “oh…oh”. But when you say come and eat, everyone loves food. So yes, you see the food, if you have to look at all the food that you may need to eat throughout the time you have to live on this earth, you’re going to see that it is something that you can never do it.

  4. Suppose you begin to think, “Oh no, I’m going to eat tomorrow. Oh no, I have to eat three times a day and tomorrow and the day after, all my life.”

  5. Suppose you have to accumulate all the food that you have to eat every day and make it become your issue of today that you would let that food become a burden to you today because you, thinking of all the food you have to eat all the days of your life, and suddenly, you have this visual that all this food has been accumulated before you, and you are surrounded by the food. You become exhausted just by looking at it because, though you love food, believe me, if you’re surrounded by all the food you have to eat for the rest of your life in one day, it’s all in front of you, you become disgusted by that, though it’s a beautiful thing.

  6. Just imagine seeing yourself there with all the food that you have to eat for the rest of your life around you, and you must eat it right on that day. Could you? No, you can’t. It just becomes so overwhelming. And even that food that you love becomes something that is just exhausting you when you look at it. So, for this reason, you don’t focus on the food that you have to eat tomorrow or the one you have to eat a few days from now, but you only focus on the food that you have to eat each day.

  7. The Lord gave us the Lord’s Prayer that we ask God to give us our daily bread. Our daily bread is all that we need per day. Every single thing that we do, even the quantity of the work that we must do every day, has been given to us. And first, we focus on that food that we have to eat on that day. We don’t worry about the other food that will come on other days, and then, the same with the work. We focus on the amount of work we’ve been given to do for the day. Then we leave all the rest of the other work we’re still to do for other days.

  8. I mean, suppose you have like 90 years to live. The job is being distributed, every single thing you must do for that day, it is distributed for you to do so that everything does not become so overwhelming. So, the job is being distributed for your days that you have to be on this earth. So you cannot think of what you have to do in two years and let that thing overwhelm you now. Then, by doing that, you also forget what you must do now, and you won’t even be able to do what you must do now and in two years’ time because you are taking this day that you must do something and replace it with what you must do some other time, and you end up with doing nothing. You don’t even do what you must do now, and you can’t even do what you must do in 2 years’ time.

  9. So the Lord says not to worry about tomorrow. For each day has enough problems of its own. So, for this, it is the same. Surely, we’re going to have loads of troubles in our lives, and every single day comes with its amount of troubles.

  10. So, for this, we have to take each day at a time and live the day today and let tomorrow come with its work and its food. So that way, we are not overwhelmed and we don’t look at the size of things. We don’t look at the size of the work we have to do. We don’t look at the size of the food we have to eat. We don’t look at the size of the Words of God we have to obey.

  11. I have come to understand that obedience to God is my best food because, then, God gives me many blessings. There is no problem between Him and me because I obey Him, and that is beautiful. So, I can eat my food every day and not obey God and still be so miserable. But I make sure I eat my spiritual food: obedience to God is that spiritual food that you must be thirsty to drink and be hungry to eat, just as you are hungry to eat the food that you’ve been given every day to eat.

  12. Yes. So do not look at the Bible and just think about all the things you must do. In that case, you just tick the box, and you say, “Oh, I’ve got so much to do; I’ve got so much to obey.” And then you just begin to… just try to get it over with. That is not the way to go. The way to go with the Words of God is to believe that it is your food. It is the most important food. Even more important food than the food that you eat every day, than the water that you drink. Because okay, if you don’t drink, if you don’t eat food, you die. But that is only physical death. But if you don’t eat the Words of God, if you don’t obey Christ, if you don’t obey God, you die also. But that is the spiritual death, which is worse than the physical death.

  13. So, seek to find joy in obeying God because it is beautiful to obey God and His words. I don’t even know how I could live now without them. So it has become something that… I wouldn’t be myself anymore without the ways of the Lord, without the words of God. So it’s the best food to me. So don’t hold the Bible in your hands and say, “Whoah, it’s too heavy. It’s too much here.” No. Just enjoy it, take every day and say, “Okay, today the Lord has given me a little quantity of something to do. The same way that I’m hungry to eat. I must be hungry to do what the Lord says.” And before you know it, it becomes your second nature and you love it. You do it with no fuss. And you’re happy.

  14. So thank you for listening. And if there are people out there, including myself, who do those things, it can be done also for you. Living for God is beautiful. Though it may have its many troubles, but surely the Lord is with you, with us, when we take that decision and maintain it.

  15. So thank You, Lord. Thank You so much for this, My God. Thank You for Your teaching. Thank You for Your inspiration. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for Your peace. Thank You for Your help. Thank You for helping those who are hearing to see that it is indeed the case and that they just need to love You and Your words like they love their food and water, and everything would be so easy.

  16. So thank You God, for Your grace and Your mercy and Your love and Your peace. Thank You for Your forgiveness. Thank You for Your deliverance from evil.

  17. In Jesus name, I pray.

  18. Amen.
