And I want to look at the wise men today, I want us to read
-
this account. I got a few things I want to say
-
about them, that I think she just important for us moving
-
forward Because unless the Lord just comes back today.
-
If the trumpet blows and I'm fine with that, you know, my
-
Redemption, draweth Nigh. I'm expecting God to come back.
-
I'm expecting a trumpet to sound.
-
I'm walking in the righteousness of God in Christ.
-
And when the trumpet sounds, I'm going to hear it and be caught
-
up together with him. Amen.
-
Come on. How many you going with me?
-
You better work on your Superman pose because I am I'm gone.
-
Amen, I'm alive my. This body is going to take on
-
immortality. I'm going to be changed in a
-
moment in the twinkling of an eye and I'll let some people
-
know. Hey, Jesus is real before we get
-
up out of here. All right, so God is really
-
awesome. And I'm excited about that
-
experience, but until that takes place, there is a way to live
-
right now on planet Earth and I'm really excited about 2019.
-
I'm excited about what God's doing in the earth and I believe
-
it's the best year yet for anchor.
-
If a church but more when I say that I'm not talking about us,
-
I'm not talking about the building.
-
I'm not talking about the name anchor for.
-
I'm talking about your individual lives because you are
-
the sum total of what the vision of anchor.
-
Faith Church is. And God is talking to you and
-
calling you and pulling you out. Maybe you're here as a guest
-
today because you got some family you know that you came in
-
to spend some time with Christmas.
-
Hey God may just tell you to move relocate and stay with us.
-
Now you might laugh at that but if I have Pastor bra, Stand up
-
passion. Brandon would you stand up?
-
Patrick, Brandy Hicks originally from Kentucky, how many of you
-
love the great state of Kentucky, right with this guy's
-
from, Kentucky, move down here because his wife was from
-
Florida, next thing, you know, they're, they're connected in a
-
church and then God over to us man and God began to change
-
their lives. The kingdom of God began to
-
speak to their lives, in a way and things they've heard never
-
heard before. Well, he started calling his
-
brother Devin back home in Kentucky and talking to him
-
about the kingdom and just stirring him up.
-
Well, Devon, would you stand up because Devin don't live in
-
Kentucky anymore, Devin's been as already moved down.
-
So, Devin and his wife, all of a sudden, God begins to say, well,
-
you need to leave that stink, get down to Florida and be a
-
part of that Vision, but there's more because they have some
-
cousins and the cousins kept hearing about what God was
-
doing. So Josh, would you stand up and
-
just left this state of Kentucky next thing, you know, he's here,
-
are you serious right now? Yeah, I'm serious right now.
-
In fact, Devon, and and Pastor Brandon's mom moved down for a
-
season and got In here. And then the lord gave her a
-
husband and now she's in the state of Oklahoma.
-
But I'll tell you right now, it it's not unreasonable for God to
-
say, you need to leave and go to a church.
-
You know, people believe all over the move all over the world
-
for a job. A job, that's temporary.
-
But we're in is eternal, amen. Guys, you can be seated.
-
I appreciate you. I just wanted you to see that
-
God speaking to the hearts of people, you may have thought
-
that you were going to live in your little town or your
-
community, all your life. Only to have an encounter with
-
God. Amen.
-
And man. Now, if I went back and said,
-
Josh and Devon and Pastor Brandon, do you regret leaving
-
not at all? I mean, the things you're
-
growing in today, you wouldn't trade it for the world, Amen.
-
Because the things of God are awesome, but it's having an ear
-
to hear and it's living a life. We're going to talk about a
-
little bit later today. In Matthew Chapter 2 starting in
Matthew 2 chapter mention
-
verse 1. It says this.
-
Now, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, in the days
-
of Herod, the king behold, Wise men, say wise men.
-
Come on, say wise men, say wise men, these are people who are
-
wise. Are you wise?
-
I said, are you wise, amen? It says, wise men from the East
-
came to Jerusalem saying, where is he who has been born King of
-
the Jews? For we have seen his star in the
-
east and have come to worship him.
-
When Herod the king heard this. He was troubled and all
-
Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the
-
chief priests and the scribes and all the people together, he
-
inquired of them where the Christ was to be born.
-
Born now notice in verse 4, there's a connection between the
-
the wise men declaring, they want to see a king and Herod
-
calls him the Christ. So you got to understand when
-
you hear the word Christ you might as well hear the word
-
King, when you hear the word Christ, you might as well hear
-
the word King the wise men from the East says, where is the King
-
born of the Jews? And so Harris says, let's get
-
all my wives people together and find out who's this child, he
-
talking about and Where's the Christ going to be born?
-
So, Christ and King are equivalent.
-
Can I get an amen? I said, Christ and King are
-
equivalent. This is important because you
-
can keep a religious Jesus Christ.
-
But you cannot, when you understand who Christ is, you
-
had to get out of religion and get on into the kingdom of God.
-
Amen. All right, because the king is
-
over a government. I said a king is over a
-
government. Not a religion, aren't you glad
-
President Trump is not over with our religion?
-
And aren't you? Glad he's not over the Bible?
-
No, he's over a government. He's a part of the government.
-
But here's the thing. Jesus Christ is not over.
-
Another religion, he's over a kingdom that will never be
-
shaken and have no end. Can I get an amen?
-
Hallelujah. And I serve the king.
-
So we go on and it says this when they had gathered together,
-
Chief priests scribes of the people together, they inquired
-
where the Christ was to be born verse 5.
-
So they said to him in Bethlehem of Judea for thus it was written
-
by the prophet. You Bethlehem, in the land of
-
Judah, you are not the least among the rulers of Judah for
-
out of you shall come a ruler. Who will Shepherd My People
-
Israel then Herod when he had secretly called, the wise men
-
determined from them? What time, the star appeared and
-
he sent them to Bethlehem and said, go and search carefully
-
for the young child and when you have found him bring back word
-
to me that I may come and worship him.
-
Also, when they had heard the king, when they had heard the
-
king, they departed and behold the star, which they had seen in
-
the East went. Went before them till it came
-
and stood over where the young child was.
-
When they saw the star, they rejoiced, with great with
-
exceedingly, great joy. When they had come into the
-
house, they saw the young child with Mary, his mother and fell
-
down and worshipped him. And when they had opened their
-
Treasures, they presented gifts to him, gold, frankincense and
-
myrrh. Then being divinely warned in a
-
dream that they should not return to Herod.
-
They departed for their own country.
-
Another way there's a lot we can learn from these wise men and I
-
want to make a few Statements. Before we are getting to the
-
context where I believe the spirit of the Lord wants us to
-
go today. And the first thing I want you
-
to understand wise men believed that the king will come
-
according to what is written. I said, wise men believe the
-
king will come according to what is written.
-
These Kings had been waiting for the king, in fact, if you
-
actually do some study of the word, this, you may not know
-
this. But these guys came from the
-
East and most likely they came from the territory that was
-
formerly occupied by Babble on and babble on you.
-
Stand took over Jerusalem because Jerusalem had fallen
-
into such idolatry and sin that God can no longer let go of
-
their sin. He had allowed them to be
-
overcome by the enemy and taken all together.
-
And as a result of that, there was a guy by the name of Daniel
-
who was led captive into this area or this land.
-
And God used this man, Daniel, and Daniel prophesied.
-
He spoke concerning this King. That would come.
-
I said he spoke concerning this King.
-
That would come. God, used Daniel.
-
So mightily over in the East that he went through multiple
-
administration's multiple kingdoms, not just Babylon, but
-
he went into success exceeding, kingdoms, that would overtake
-
Babylon and those would begin to overtake other kingdoms.
-
And he left a word to the wise men, that he was over that a
-
king would come and that he would have a kingdom.
-
That would have no end. He had a vision concerning fact.
-
Was documented of the first Administration, he served in
-
Babylon to King Nebuchadnezzar because he saw a statue of all
-
these kingdoms until one would come that was made and with a
-
rock without hands. Who is The Rock?
-
I said, who is The Rock? His name is Jesus and that that
-
Rob would crush that Idol and it would destroy every other
-
government. But this one would turn into a
-
mountain and take over the whole world.
-
And so, the wise men knew this new the Daniels God reigned
-
Supreme Order these things and kept passing it down to
-
generation after generation after generation, and they were
-
expecting for him to be born. Amen.
-
They were diligent about it. These word wise, men means these
-
were guys that were proficient in astrology.
-
There were some signs that were communicated, that would happen
-
in the stars or in the heavens that the Christ was born and
-
they were diligently looking for based upon something written.
-
Are we expecting the king to come has the Bible not said
-
he'll return? I said, has the Bible not said
-
he'll return. Now, the nation of Israel missed
-
him initially because he came as the suffering servant but know
-
this when Jesus comes back the second time, he will not come as
-
a suffering servant. He'll come back as a reigning
-
King. Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah and all the nations of the world will come and pay
-
him homage and will bow down to him and honor him glory to his
-
name. That's the King you serve.
-
That's the family you're part of That comes out of this little
-
child. We're celebrating here called
-
Christmas. Amen.
-
Alright, the next thing we learn is wise.
-
Men, keep watch waiting for the sign to appear.
-
Why has been prepared to visit the king?
-
They were in preparation, that thing, if that's star shows up,
-
we gonna go see when that Char shows up.
-
We're going to come and generation after generation
-
after generation. They could have said, well, it's
-
just fairytale. Well, don't think it's gonna
-
happen? No.
-
There was a group of people that will so tenacious.
-
They said it's going to Ben is going to come to pass, then the,
-
in the rise, we have been there, we seen it and they pass it down
-
and pass it down, and pass it down to eventually the
-
generation showed up. Amen.
-
So they were in preparation to go visit the king.
-
The next thing is wise, men seek the king.
-
Are you seeking the king? I said, are you seeking the
-
king? I hate to tell you this, but
-
most Believers are just seeking heaven.
-
They're just seeking an exit party, they're just seeking
-
going into the clouds, but the Lord said to seek the king, you
-
understand the king's not limited to his realm.
-
The king will bring his realm to planet Earth.
-
That's why. Jesus said, when you pray pray
-
this way, Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed Be Your Name,
-
Your Kingdom Come your will be done on Earth as it is in
-
heaven. God.
-
So wants his Heavenly Kingdom to manifest in the earth, through
-
his kids. Amen.
-
So, are we seeking the king? Those wise men seek the king.
-
The next thing we learn is wise, men are Guided by the Light.
-
What did they follow? They follow that star.
-
They looked up to the heavens and follow the light today.
-
We could still follow the light. Jesus is the light of the world.
-
I said he's the light of the world.
-
He should be a he is the one that should be the lamp unto our
-
feet and a light unto our path. I mean, if Will Follow the word
-
of God wise men, follow the light and are Guided by that
-
light. You know what else?
-
Wise men do wise men recognize the worth of the king, they
-
recognize his worth. You know what?
-
Is not some you know person it just showed up and you can ask
-
him to come into your heart and then just disregard him as if
-
he's nothing until you show up before him and then want to pull
-
a car and say you remember, I asked you to come into my life.
-
That's not the worst Jesus deserves.
-
Jesus deserves supreme authority because he is supreme authority.
-
We need to understand his worth. Jesus comes in the room.
-
You stand into your feet at attention.
-
You drop it on. You, knees and honor.
-
Are you with me? You don't say a word when he
-
begins to speak. Wow, I mean today, we make
-
people in Authority, so common like they're nothing, you know?
-
And there's no big deal but I'm telling you got an honor you
-
gotta see worth in your king, okay.
-
Another thing wise men do is wise men, share about their, the
-
Kings coming. They had no problem coming in
-
Jerusalem and saying where's the king?
-
We know, the Kings Born show us where the king is, amen.
-
Another thing wise men do as they Bow Down and Worship to the
-
king, I'm telling, we begin to sing songs to the king.
-
We ought to get him worship to him.
-
We ought to honor him. We got to lift up our voices,
-
shouldn't be some casual singing.
-
It ought to be something from the heart fell in the spirit of
-
the man realizing. My gosh, my King has made me
-
worthy. He deserves to be honored.
-
Amen. And so, man, they were unashamed
-
a Last thing or the second. The last thing is Wiseman.
-
Give their Treasures to the king.
-
You don't come to the king empty-handed.
-
You understand what I'm saying? But here's the thing about our
-
King, The King paid, the greatest price for you.
-
You understand God, the father had so much worth in you that he
-
could not give you the word world, you know.
-
You've heard people say that I love you so much.
-
I give you the world. Well, the world is cheap in
-
comparison to the price. It paid to redeem you for the
-
Bible says. As he did not redeem you with
-
perishable things like silver and gold.
-
But with the Precious Blood, come on the precious, what blood
-
of Jesus. So the greatest Price ever God,
-
says you're worth it. How much more?
-
We who are born again to say king, you are worth it.
-
You are worth it. You're worth everything.
-
I have all that you've given me charge of is at your disposal
-
because you are worthy to be praised.
-
But I'm going to tell you right now all these things we've said
-
about wise men won't matter at all if If they, if we do not
-
have this quality of the wise men, if we do not have this
-
quality and the quality according to Matthew Chapter 2,
-
verses 1 through 12 that these Wiseman has is wise.
-
Men persevere to be in the presence of the king, they
-
persevere? What a group of people that had
-
a writing. They are not even from the
-
Covenant nation of Israel. And they are believing that a
-
king is coming. Whose kingdom will not end and
-
they are going to come to him to put their trust in him and show
-
their allegiance to him. Are you with me?
-
And these guys persevered now unlike the capitalistic nativity
-
sets that are here in the United States of America that tend to
-
be a little misleading and it's very misleading because
-
unfortunately, a lot of people People don't even read the Bible
-
and many Believers. Don't even read the word of God.
-
And so when you go and purchase early nativity set because
-
you're, you know, great Christian and you are going to
-
make sure you show the manger right, and you're going to put
-
out, you know, Joseph and Mary and little baby Jesus in the
-
manger. Yeah, you're gonna get you a
-
little cow out there and you little sheep right?
-
Then you have your Shepherds out there, right?
-
Go have a little star over it. A little, you know, Barn.
-
They look place that he was in. Right.
-
The Little Star there. And then who else are you going
-
to have in your lunatic? Tea set.
-
You got three little wise men, right?
-
Just three of them, that's it. Now if you are right you need to
-
put them across the other side of your room.
-
So if you put you in the TV is Set On You ban, do you need to
-
go into your kitchen and put the wise men because that's where
-
they were in, proximity of the day of the birth.
-
That's where they were now. Why is this important?
-
Because a lot of times we think that when we read about the wise
-
men, it's like they were there when it happened, but they were
-
not the only ones there on that day, are the Shepherds and the
-
shepherd's. Unlike the wise men wasn't,
-
we're not expecting anything. The Shepherds were out watching
-
their flock in essence, they were doing their life, they were
-
just doing life, but God interrupted their life with a
-
host of angels and said, my gosh, there's something so
-
great. Even Heaven, can't keep quiet
-
about it. Woo.
-
Glory to God, something was so great with the birth of Jesus
-
Christ that even heaven couldn't get quiet about it.
-
Heaven, bust it open from The Unseen realm into the same round
-
and an angel Vega An to say in the city of David, a child has
-
been born. The savior of the world and all
-
the Angels acquire began to sing a song, My Mama, and it bled.
-
Over into the scene Earth and all the shepherd song were like,
-
what is going on? And they were so blown away by
-
their life. We ought to go in town and see
-
what's happening. I ended a shame that sometimes
-
you got to have some kind of Supernatural experience like
-
that just to get Attention to go.
-
Try to find out where God's at. Hey then, I mean to hear, they
-
were right outside of town. Didn't really cost them
-
anything. And then they show up and see
-
him and then they hear from Mary all about the never like, wow,
-
this is awesome. And from there, they began to
-
tell. But there were some people that
-
was so far away. They couldn't see where Jesus
-
was, all they had was a sign from heaven.
-
And one night. They're like, that's it.
-
This is what we've been expecting.
-
This is what we've been seeking. This is what day after day, year
-
after year, decade after decade Century.
-
After Century, it's been told would come to pass and guys, we
-
are the ones that are alive to see it.
-
There it is. Go ahead pack up the house, pack
-
up, your house pack up your things.
-
It's time to go see the king. It's time to go and that same
-
night that the shepherd's. All they had to do was come out
-
of a field and walk into town. Down and get down and bow down.
-
These guys are loading up, camels, they're loading up
-
horses. They're calling up the Army and
-
they're saying, okay, we've got gifts and we need you to escort
-
us as we go find Jesus. See.
-
The problem is a nativity based upon the three gifts, given we
-
think only three people showed up with three little boxes.
-
Right now. Think about it.
-
Let's go back tomorrow. Matthew Chapter 2, let me read
Matthew 2 chapter mention
-
this real quick for you because most of the time, we've never
-
even seen this nor do we even think about it.
-
But it says this verse 3, when Herod the king heard this, he
-
was what troubled and all Jerusalem with him.
-
Now, why in the world? Would he get trouble from three
-
guys, showing up with three little boxes.
-
Talking about a king being born. Because and why would all
-
Jerusalem get upset about it? Well, because these guys came
-
with just more than three Just because there's three gifts,
-
mention does not mean only three present showed up.
-
That's like me saying because you got socks shirt and pants.
-
That's the only got 3 presents. Well, you know, you may have get
-
five or six pairs of pants. You may have got six or seven
-
shirts for Christmas. You may have gotten so many
-
socks. My mom's going to come today,
-
probably going to bring me socks.
-
You understand? And I'll take them right?
-
But you get more than one pair. Why is it that we have allowed?
-
Something that we put on a shelf to begin to dictate the size of
-
something? Now when you study the word of
-
God, you'll see that it was way more than that.
-
I said it was way more than that.
-
Hallelujah, that they caused a panic in the community.
-
When they showed up, are you with me?
-
But the wise men persevered, they packed up their stuff and
-
said, let's go a week into their travels, they're not there a
-
month into their travels. They're not there three months
-
in still not there. Six months in still not there a
-
year in. They have left their house a
-
year ago and still have not arrived to their destination.
-
Are you with me? It's amazing.
-
Sometimes, we don't watch out, we will live a life where if we
-
don't get it from God, the minute we pray.
-
And it actually manifests in the seen realm, we stopped we turn
-
around. Well, I tried church.
-
Have you heard people say that? Well, I tried God, you tried
-
him. Well, that's the problem, you're
-
not supposed to try because if you're trying, you don't have
-
him. I mean, don't even have God.
-
You don't try. And you try religion.
-
And religion will fail you. Amen.
-
If you come to God, religiously then you'll get religion.
-
But if you'll come to God, because he's supreme authority
-
and you say I'm going no matter what the cost because he calls
-
the, he paid everything to get me.
-
I'll not stop my pursuit of him. Amen.
-
When I've done all to stand, I stand.
-
Hallelujah. So a year goes by 15 months, 18
-
months. In fact, scholars believe
-
somewhere between to 18 months in Two years.
-
It took those guys to get to where Jesus was.
-
That means when you read, it says he went into the house, not
-
the barn. He didn't find Jesus in a manger
-
but in a home and went into the house and he was a toddler at
-
the time and they bow down to the king and gave their gifts to
-
the king. They persevered to get into his
-
presence, man. We need to have the same
-
tenacity today. In this new covenant, that we
-
are going to persevere to be in God's presence every day now.
-
I know God lives in you. I understand that and I
-
understand we are the Temple of the Holy Ghost.
-
But you know, as well as I do that, a lot of All that are born
-
again. Live every day.
-
Without any acknowledgement of the Holy Ghost on the inside of
-
them. That God himself is a by thought
-
by the only time will think about him.
-
Sometimes when we sit down to eat, if we pray before the meal,
-
Or when we're in trouble, then we're calling him, Lord, I need
-
your help, but the Lord is ever present.
-
I mean, he's right here, he's Emmanuel God With Us.
-
He's right here yet. A lot of times we want to know,
-
why? Cause we don't have the
-
perseverance of a wise man to stay in the presence of God, to
-
pursue him to live the life, that constantly is pursuing, the
-
things of God. And so I got in my spirit today.
-
This thought concerning wise men, that persevere, We're to
-
get to the presence of God. We need this for 2019.
-
We need to decide that in 2019. We are going to be wise men who
-
pursue persist and, and persevere to be in God's
-
presence, which tells us we are going to hear some things from
-
God. And there's going to be this
-
time between our hearing and are seeing Are you with me?
-
Because there's some things in faith, you can get immediately,
-
but there's other things that requires through faith and
-
patience that we actually inherit and man, you need to be
-
at a settle some things. The minute you read it and know
-
that it has to come to pass and we are going to persevere till
-
it's done. For some of you, it's the mine
-
renewal for the Bible tells us, you are to grow up spiritually.
-
And some of you are banding, your education, course because
-
you want to get somewhere quicker than you, can renew your
-
own mind. Mind.
-
God knows he wants to train you and change you and you got to
-
say, you know, I'm going to get it.
-
I'm going to have wisdom. I'm going to be there cause the
-
Bible declares of a man lacks wisdom.
-
Let him ask of God, who gives to how many all men liberally,
-
which means I'm going to have wisdom.
-
I'm going to know the mind of Christ.
-
I'm going to know how to respond to this circumstance.
-
I'm going to know how to fight the good fight of faith, and I
-
will not relent till I get in the presence of what I need to
-
know. Hallelujah, hallelujah and Lord,
-
you know I need something. We open the Bible, put her
-
finger down by closing her eyes, read one, scripture, and want it
-
to be there. Now, just because it's happened
-
once like that, that mean will consistently God in your
-
infancy? Will sometimes allow you and
-
your ignorance and just trying to prove this point, my word is
-
the answer will let you and your infancy.
-
Open up, something pop down on one scripture, and there it is.
-
Lo and behold, but it doesn't always work like a for the ones
-
that are walking in maturity, they're going to have to seek
-
first, the kingdom of God, and in you're seeking you'll find in
-
your asking. And you'll receive in your
-
knocking, the door. Be open.
-
Amen. And that Greek word of seek
-
asking and and knock is a repetitive.
-
It means when you seek and keep on seeking and keep on seeking
-
to keep on seeking and asking, keep on, asking to keep on
-
ethnic keep on asking to knock, and keep on knocking to keep on
-
knocking, then you will receive the rest.
-
Hallelujah. So there's this perseverance
-
that must take place in us as Believers as wise men and God
-
wants us to be wise in the earth.
-
Amen. Hallelujah.
-
And so, let's look. Look at some Lifestyles that can
-
happen in life and God wants us to move to a wise men lifestyle
-
a wise man lifestyle, because if we're going to take the wise,
-
then with there, we've got to be a taker.
-
I'll take her. That means we've got to seize
-
hold of the promises of God. We got to take hold of the
-
promises of God. We got to lay hold of that which
-
we were laid. Hold of.
-
We got to take possession. You understand.
-
God told the Israelites I've given you the land now go up and
-
take it. They had to go take it now.
-
He was going to operate in the power.
-
He was going to do it. It was going to off.
-
It's going to be his Our doing it but not outside of their
-
faith. When he says walk around judge
-
Eric, oh, don't say nothing for six days, just be quiet and do
-
it one time but on the seventh day circling seven times and on
-
the last time, blow a trumpet shout and the wall of come down,
-
I've given you the city. Well they did that.
-
Can you imagine what it would look like when they shouted with
-
a loud? Shout?
-
And the Wall came down and they were like, praise the law, we
-
got it, and then, you know, hung out All the people in Jericho
-
would have stayed in Jericho. All the Israelites outside of
-
Jericho would have stayed outside the people in Jericho.
-
Would it continue to eat the food that was in there and the
-
Israelites would have stayed camped outside.
-
They did not go through a wall broken down by the power of God,
-
in their belief of through. Their shout to an empty City.
-
Oh, I'm preaching. Didn't go into an empty City,
-
nobody's here, where'd everybody go?
-
Oh, the Lord took him away like they were just full translated
-
to another location, know, they were in there.
-
I said they were in there and they were in there fighting,
-
they weren't fighting themselves as God did at some points.
-
They were coming to fight them but the good news is, they're
-
sword was not stronger than the sword of the Israelite.
-
Amen. And so, the Israelites had to go
-
in and take it. It you understand you've got to
-
pull out the sword of the spirit.
-
You got to get in here in 2019 and go take some things, man.
-
Come on. You got to go.
-
Take some stuff. Can we get this in our spirit?
-
The day. We had to go take some things.
-
God wants you to possess all that he has for you but you got
-
to get a tenacity as a wise man. It's Alma persevere till I take
-
it. Reminds me of one of David's,
-
Mighty, Man. The Bible says that he was in a
-
fight, man, and he was fighting the enemy, and he slew 800 all
-
by himself. He stayed in that fight, till he
-
took possession of a win. And when he was done, they had
-
to pry his hand open away from his sword.
-
He had become one with his weapon.
-
How many of us have become one with the word?
-
Well, we're Wilden that thing and we not going to let another
-
enemy. Come take another piece of
-
ground from us. We going To stay in the fight
-
till we whip it all and we lay it all out and have the victory.
-
You got to have a tonight, that's what wise people do, and
-
this is what God is calling us to do.
-
Are you with me? Come on, do I some Champions up
-
in here today? Do we have some Champions up in
-
this place today? You know, there's times to be
-
quiet and there's times that he, you know, top I'm saying.
-
God has a victory shall for us today, guys.
-
Got a course and direction. His church is not weak.
-
Broke down, not hoping to Get somewhere Heavens arriving in
-
his church and coming through his kids that will stand in
-
faith and believe God that it get a tenacity about themselves
-
and say I'm going to have a lifestyle, I'm going to be a
-
taker. Well what kind of take her argue
-
or you an Undertaker? What's an Undertaker and
-
Undertaker is a person who lives a life living for the dead.
-
And the unfortunately, there's a lot of people living dead.
-
They're living dead, they're just Undertaker's in life.
-
Woe is me, reminds me of the LI Mall help.
-
Some of you with a little bit older because you know what?
-
I'm like a bridge your I'm a my whole generation is called the
-
bridge or generation anyway. So I'm bridging, you know, these
-
people that were born back in on the 20s, 30s.
-
You know, 40s 50s, you know, those and I'm bringing them over
-
into this Millennial, there's this song and he Hall, how many
-
member he Hall. Yeah, my dad was a Hee-Haw fan
-
Gloom, Despair and Agony On Me. Come on, Jaime, remember that
-
some of y'all. Could sing it right now, right?
-
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
-
I mean, need to live and dead. Just living dead.
-
You know, just barely getting through.
-
Barely barely. Hold Lord.
-
Jesus, come take me, take me soon.
-
Lord, Jesus come come quickly, right.
-
Life stinks and Lisa have Jesus. That's living dead.
-
God don't want you living dead. He don't want you to be an
-
Undertaker in life. Are you in more?
-
You dealing with dead stuff all the time?
-
Luke chapter 9, verses 59 and 60 says, and he said unto him,
-
follow me. He said, Lord suffer me to go
-
back home and bury my father. Jesus said to him.
-
Let the dead bury the dead. But God, but go thou and preach
-
the kingdom of God. So many Believers, you know, or
-
born again and God is trying to deliver them but they want to go
-
hang her out, the dead stuff still.
-
Well I need a deal. You're not you don't need to
-
deal with the dead. What you need to do is come on
-
over into life. Some of you and Dad
-
relationships, can I say that I got that my spirit and some of
-
you are in some dead relationships, you trying to
-
hang out with some female or some mail.
-
That's dead. You need to let the dead bury
-
the dead. They ain't coming along.
-
They ain't Following you to church.
-
Go ahead. Let him stay.
-
And find you another location. God is well able but pass.
-
You don't know. I can't afford it.
-
Without them. You can't afford to stay with
-
them. Quit kissing on a zombie.
-
Are you in me? I mean seriously.
-
The world's fixie aided by The Walking Dead.
-
Who in the world wants to lift lock on that.
-
Amen. That's lipstick on a pig.
-
All right. You don't cast a pearl before
-
the you go, right? Matthew chapter, 23, verses 27,
-
28 says woe to you. See there's this, you know, all
-
everybody's great God love God loves everybody.
-
But God's come to deliver everybody, God's come to redeem
-
everybody. God's come to get them out of
-
the mess there, and get him into a great place, not not, take
-
them out of a mess can make them still stink and are still be
-
ultimately stinky and put perfume on them.
-
See, this is that false doctrine that runs around in the mouth of
-
Believers. Well, I'm just a sinner saved by
-
grace, are you? That means you are a perfumed
-
pig and God doesn't have perfume pigs.
-
No, he changed your nature. Hallelujah.
-
Amen. You were dead without Jesus.
-
No, hope, but the minute you by the grace of God, through faith
-
was born again. You became a child of the
-
Living. God, hallelujah.
-
What you? You need to do is throw off your
-
dad man. Clothes, put off the old man.
-
And put on the new man who glory to God.
-
Matthew 23, 27 28, says woe to you.
-
Scribes and Pharisees Hypocrites.
-
For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside
-
appear, beautiful, but on the inside full of Dead Man's Bones
-
and all uncleanness. U2 so, U2, outwardly appear
-
righteous to men but inwardly, you are full of hypocrisy and
-
lawlessness. Well, These people look like
-
what they look like James. 2:17 says, even so faith.
-
If it has no work is what dead being by itself.
-
Don't come and tell me I believe God.
-
Don't tell me, you believe, God, and you're doing nothing.
-
Don't tell me. You're in faith.
-
And yet everything you do, you can see yourself doing and God's
-
not even required to be there for you to do it.
-
Faith is being somewhere that, if it ain't God, you dead.
-
I mean, you stepped out beyond your ability and you need God,
-
you don't step out on water yourself.
-
You believe, God is going to cause that water to somehow
-
Harden. Are you levitate on it?
-
So you can walk out on it because by yourself, you're sunk
-
well. The Lord told me to walk on
-
water. So I got this boat.
-
You're not walking, you're on a boat now.
-
Well, I'm standing in the boat. You're in a boat.
-
It's not the same. Amen.
-
I mean you can go practice your your your Lake walking out at
-
Lake anchor, Faith out here because there's a concrete slab.
-
So when it rains just start walking across and you look like
-
you're walking on water when we know there's asphalt underneath
-
it. No, we're talking about dropping
-
you off in the middle of the Atlantic.
-
Taking your rast, taking it all and you come walking out of that
-
thing. Now that's some.
-
Where are you? Is me, I want if there's ever
-
been a person lost at sea that would say Lord command me to
-
walk. Why do I have to sit out here
-
and float? Let me tell you, I think shudder
-
to say many would say, but I can only God can do that really.
-
Peter did it? He just needed a word but too
-
often men are bold enough. Why?
-
Because they want to live dead, they want to be Undertaker's.
-
Want to just get through life. Barely get through.
-
Don't can't expect the miraculous, a medium.
-
Maybe you could have been safe, they only would have believed
-
God and asked all right. So verse 26 says, just as the
-
body is dead body without the spirit is dead.
-
So also faith without works is dead.
-
Revelation is 3, 1 and 3 says this, the angel of the church in
-
Sardis, write he who has the seven spirits of God.
-
And the Seven Stars says, I know, your deeds, and that you
-
have a name that you are alive, but you are but you are.
-
A lot of people are trying to fake it.
-
Trying to look like it. Saying a few things but on the
-
inside, did just tied up in the dead.
-
Tied up with dead. Things tied up with dead
-
thinking. Amen.
-
God doesn't want that. That's not how a wise man lives
-
because when you're an Undertaker, you'll go nowhere.
-
You'll go nowhere, says wake up and strengthen the things that
-
remain which are worked were about to die for you.
-
For I have found not found your Deeds, completed in the sight of
-
my God. So remember what you have
-
received and heard faith comes by hearing and you can only
-
hear. If you receive what you're
-
hearing, receiving means I hear it.
-
Now I'm doing. It says and keep it and repent,
-
which means I'm a doer of the word.
-
Therefore, if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief and
-
you will not know at what hour I will come.
-
Well, the next time a taker is this if you're not going to be
-
an Undertaker and you say, man, I don't want to be that.
-
I want to live dead, I won't have a dead, a lifestyle of the
-
Dead, where I'm just hanging out with dead stuff all the time,
-
where dead people dead thinking dead did ways of living, you can
-
become another taker, but it's still in the taker.
-
God wants you to be. And that's a caretaker a
-
caretaker, just a Mass for themself.
-
Again, begins to Define how they'll serve God.
-
Well, okay, yes, I'm going to follow you but I'm gonna follow
-
you so I can be blessed myself. Take care of me and mine because
-
all that matters is I'm going to go to heaven and I need to live
-
comfortable and let God bless me and he gave me and for me and
-
take care of me and care for me, and take care of me.
-
Cause you know I got to care about me because you understand,
-
you know, I got to take care of me.
-
A lot of times we don't go somewhere because we're
-
concerned about our care. Well, Bo how what would happen
-
to me. And unfortunately, try to save
-
your life. Well, we goes on and says this
-
in. Luke chapter 9, verse 61 62.
-
This is what we call religious living.
-
Religious living where basically, you'd begin to
-
develop your own Idols about Jesus.
-
Okay. I don't know why so quiet.
-
I mean, y'all are doing really good there for a while.
-
I mean, are we saying? This is me if it is repent.
-
Okay, just repent because you don't want to follow God on your
-
terms. You want to follow God on his
-
terms. Amen.
-
Don't be at are caretaker. Just caring for your own stuff
-
all the time. Okay says that's another said
-
Lord Luke chapter 9 61 to cease to another said Lord I will
Luke 9 chapter mention
-
follow thee, but let me first go and bid them farewell, which are
-
at home at my house and Jesus said unto him.
-
No man having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit
-
for the kingdom of God. What?
-
It is fit for the kingdom of God.
-
Is fit for the kingdom of God. I said is fit for the kingdom of
-
God, I believe was John Duncan I was having a conversation about
-
this passage of scripture. Another time that I had
-
ministered and it Bears repeating at this point is that
-
when one context, you could take, when a man puts his plow,
-
that means I received the assignment, okay?
-
And the work God has called me to do and so you begin to plow
-
but then you look back now what's going to happen when you
-
look back while you got Hand on the plow still walking forward.
-
You're going to quit walking Street.
-
And there's many Believers that want the plow and want to do a
-
work of God while looking back at their old life.
-
And now all of a sudden you can't keep a straight line.
-
So if anybody's following you while you got your hand on the
-
plow, the like, where are we going?
-
I mean this guy's walking around like a drunk man.
-
Oh I'm preaching now and unfortunately a lot of Believers
-
are actually getting drunk and saying it's okay under grace.
-
Oh I'm preaching, good now. Yeah, why they want to stagger
-
and stumble around? And I like God's grace when Gods
-
like I want you to walk straight, I want you to stay in
-
line, I want you to be in a It with me.
-
I want you to walk in righteousness.
-
Amen. I've been freed from all way of
-
living I don't look back longing for something.
-
Every time you look back and say what of that past life, I can
-
bring into this slide under the grace of God, you crooked.
-
I said you're crooked It's crooked can't do it.
-
No, can't do it. You got to stay fourth.
-
What happens when a man puts his hand on a plow.
-
Begins to look back. He's no longer looking at the
-
author and finisher of his faith.
-
I'm amazed at people that walk straight for quite some time and
-
then hit a rock, hit a hit, an obstacle And instead of dealing
-
with the obstacle, want to start looking back and try to find
-
another course. God has given you this thing
-
called the Holy Ghost, he is due to this power and instead of you
-
walking around your obstacle, God wants you to drop down a
-
little bit of TNT. Holy Ghost, and blow that thing
-
up out of your way. Remove it, stay straight, keep
-
moving. But caretakers man, they begin
-
to move forward and As man, there's some self-sacrifice.
-
Did this begin to go? What about me?
-
What about me? See, Hebrews 6:1 and to says
-
this, leave it there for leaving the elementary teachings about
-
the Christ. Let us press on to maturity not
-
laying again, the foundation of repentance from dead works and
-
Faith towards God. The the most Elementary
-
principle that can be priest in any church Elementary.
-
Jesus Christ died on the cross and Rose from the grave.
-
Now is it necessary? You bet because you'll never do
-
Algebra until you learn two plus three equals five.
-
But algebras real algebras real deal.
-
Trigonometry is a real deal, we've unlocked all kind of
-
mysteries through calculus and all kind of mathematical
-
equations because we knew a foundational Elementary.
-
Principal two plus three equals five.
-
Now, I'm not, I'm not trying to diminish, Jesus Christ died on
-
the cross, and Rose from the grave.
-
We have to have that, but we're but the Bible is very clear
-
here. We've got to have more than just
-
that And if you are associated with a church that only
-
preaches, this principle, they are willfully keeping you in
-
elementary school. Well, I don't want to talk about
-
stuff that people. Listen, it's the Holy Ghost
-
assignment to teach you. It's the Holy Ghost assignment
-
to educate you and equip you. And he allowed me to communicate
-
principles that are well beyond Jesus Christ died on the cross
-
and Rose from the grave because he did this.
-
Now, this is afforded to you as a child because of what he did
-
here. Now, this you can walk in
-
because he did. Now this is who you are and if
-
you listen to the Holy Ghost, you'll say yep.
-
That's me. Yep.
-
And you'll learn that. Next thing, you know, you'll do
-
more than just want to go to heaven.
-
You'll begin to call Heaven down to earth.
-
You'll no longer just say, Jesus healed the sick.
-
You'll say I can lay hands on the sick and they will recover
-
too, because I'm a Child of God. Hallelujah.
-
Not because of who I am. But because who lives in me?
-
You'll no longer say, oh, I'm running from the devil.
-
You'll say, where's he at? I'll tell him to go.
-
You've messed with the wrong person.
-
I'm a child of the king, but you're not going to get there in
-
elementary teaching. You're not going to get there in
-
fleshly living. You'll get there through
-
pressing to maturity and the Bible tells us if we press on
-
which means it's our, let us say us.
-
Say us let us press to maturity. No one's stopping you from
-
growing up. But you You'll never stand
-
before. Jesus one day and say, I mean,
-
that I didn't know about that, Dad, he'll say what's because
-
you didn't want to know. It's cuz you didn't want to
-
know. the minute I put my nature in you and put the Holy Ghost in
-
you, it was available to you, if you just pressed If you just
-
went after it, let us press on to maturity maturity is
-
something we can attain to and should want to and when you
-
begin to mature sin will never have anything on you.
-
You'll go Seasons without sin. You'll be able to count on one
-
hand when you had to pray and ask God to forgive you.
-
Because you walk in step with the spirit, you're led by the
-
spear, you're walking according to righteousness, and everything
-
around, you is prospering and being blessed.
-
And when you get in a trial, you'll have a cocoon of Peace
-
around you. When you walk through the valley
-
of the shadow of death, you'll have a rod with you.
-
Hallelujah, you'll say That's All Right.
-
In fact. When when Trouble Comes you
-
actually say, oh you picking on me?
-
Have you been around those people that like want to get in
-
the fight? Well, they only want to get in
-
it because they think they're good.
-
That it will you understand? I'm good at fighting the good
-
fight of Faith so when God begins to give me a fake
-
problem. Like oh yeah, you want some of
-
this right here. Okay, we going now because you
-
fixing to lose because greater is he, that's in me, I say
-
greater. Is he that's in me than he?
-
That's in the world? Amen.
-
Now, God told me that about me. I don't need you to convince me.
-
God told me. I'm trying to convince you.
-
That the greater ones on the inside of you.
-
Quit settling quit being a caretaker of your life.
-
Well, I just want to get by. I don't want nothing, big or
-
fancy. I just want to get by as long as
-
I get to heaven. Know what you need to do is
-
aspired to be all that. God has called you to be.
-
What did Paul say? Paul said this, I'll let me go
-
on and read verse 2. It says, and the instruction of
-
washing laying on of hands. The resurrection of the dead and
-
judgment. That's all elementary stuff.
-
Philippians chapter 3 starting in verse 12.
Philippians 3 chapter mention
-
Paul says, it's not that I've already obtained it or I have
-
already become perfect. That means I've reached Maturity
-
of what I was called to be. That's what he's saying.
-
I haven't reached it yet. He said, but I press on who
-
presses? I press.
-
Not God. Pray, he does Paul presses.
-
So who's pressing Paul presses? In fact in this same chapter
-
book in the previous chapter he said I put wigs between two
-
people, whether to go on and be with the Lord of remain here
-
with you. I just think I could die.
-
Because this far better to be with the Lord, but I'm convinced
-
my purpose is not done, so I'm going to make a decision.
-
Not God that me. And the decision is.
-
It's necessary that I'm here for you.
-
I'm going to have to live and not die.
-
I'm going to have to get myself together.
-
I'm going to have to cause myself to not give in to the
-
circumstance that I am and the trouble.
-
I'm feeling in the pain that I'm feeling right now.
-
I'm going to let that go and allow the whole calling of God
-
to rise up in me. Can I get an amen, you need to
-
get the holy calling, a God to rise up in you.
-
He goes on and says this listen, I press on so that I may lay
-
hold of that which I was laid hold of By Christ Jesus, which
-
means god called me to a work. I can't abandon it.
-
Verse 13, brother. I do not regard myself as laying
-
hold of it yet. But one thing I do forgetting,
-
what lies behind and Reaching Forward to what lies ahead?
-
What's he doing? I got him on the plow and I'm
-
Not Looking Back. No, I ain't no looking back for
-
me. I don't have time to look back.
-
I don't have time to look back and live life like a single.
-
I don't have time to look back and live life like I did when I
-
was in high school I don't have time to go back and live life.
-
Like I used to three years ago or are they?
-
I have responsibilities. Today, I'm going to Walking out
-
responsibility today. And I'm gonna look forward to
-
some responsibility in the future.
-
I'm not looking for an easy Road.
-
I'm looking for God's Road. Amen.
-
He said man I got my hands on some I'm going Paul one like I'm
-
gonna excited I planted one church.
-
Nah we got to plant more. They good enough, that we got
-
these people born again. We got another Nation to
-
conquer. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. So he goes on and says this.
-
Let us also, he said, I press on toward the goal of the project
-
were calling of God in Christ. Jesus verse 15.
-
Let us therefore as many as are perfect or mature.
-
Have this attitude. Have What?
-
Attitude keep pressing Get your assignment done.
-
Then he goes on and says and if anything you have a different
-
attitude Well, we can just agree to disagree.
-
Is that what it says? Let's read again.
-
Let us therefore, as many as are perfect.
-
Armature have this attitude and if in anything you have a
-
different attitude, we can agree to disagree.
-
Is that what it says? No, you understand in the church
-
today is creeping in the same thing as the culture of the
-
world which is is there's no right and wrong.
-
We're all right, what you believe is?
-
What you believe in, what you believe, what you believe and I
-
should respect. What you believe is.
-
You should respect what? I believe.
-
Who am I to Question your belief.
-
And it's happening in the church.
-
Well, you can believe that about God.
-
That's fine. We can agree to disagree.
-
I can't agree to disagree. All I can do is, do, is agree to
-
agree with God. We need to learn to agree, to
-
agree, with God. I'm not holding my thoughts.
-
I want his thoughts. Well now, Pastor Earle, that's
-
fine. If you guys want to believe that
-
you can be baptized in the Holy Ghost, whatever.
-
And speaking in tongues, that's you.
-
The, you can do that. The Bible says it.
-
Now, you can choose not but don't stop me from praying in
-
tongues when we come together. Now Pastor, you know, we just
-
don't do that here. I do it.
-
Well now we can agree to disagree but this isn't it's a
-
prayer language. I'm praying.
-
I'm sorry, you don't have it but that's your fault.
-
Well, you know, brother aren't you know, God, you know, gave me
-
this helmet, you know, this sickness, you know.
-
Well, let me pray for you. Lay hands on the Bible says lay
-
hands on the sick. The be healed.
-
Now brother, you may believe that you know we can agree to
-
disagree. No I can't.
-
I do not agree with you at all and I do not agree to disagree
-
with you. I'm going to tell you straight
-
up you wrong. Because look how God anointed
-
Jesus of Nazareth. Who went around doing good.
-
And healing all who were oppressed of the devil.
-
Don't give me your little man-made tradition or your
-
man-made Doctrine, just so you can feel good with your
-
infirmity. Let's believe God.
-
Nobody want to be a caretaker. Well I'm doing all that matters.
-
Is that when I die I will go to him.
-
We all going to die. One day when God says you
-
shouldn't have to die and sickness.
-
I like well when Minister say get healed and then just leave
-
Hey, new. Leave a good testimony.
-
God healed me. I decide to go.
-
Right. I mean if we going to go out,
-
let's go out just cause we leave our body or let's go get
-
martyred. Then Let's do those two.
-
Let's don't let some curse of the devil.
-
Take us out. Hallelujah.
-
Okay, that's all right. Well, what'd he say?
-
See you say well I just can't believe that.
-
Well guess, let's read that scripture then in context, let
-
us therefore as many as Armature have this attitude and if in
-
anything you have a different attitude God will reveal that.
-
Also to you, meaning if you don't agree with what I'm
-
saying, God, I get. You're right.
-
That's what he's saying. He's saying he'll show you that
-
I'm right and you need to do it this way.
-
All right. Oh, that's being cocky.
-
No, that's being confident in the things of God.
-
Because if you can't get confident in God's word, then
-
you'll never go to him in prayer and confidence in your prayers
-
aren't even reaching Heaven. There, manmade, manmade prayers.
-
You're crying out like a religious person.
-
You got a little caretaking life man and you're like, oh Lord,
-
please bless me. Lord, please do this Lord to if
-
it's your will if you're sure we'll and he's like read my
-
word. I'll tell you what my will is.
-
More people are stuck in, if he is, will one time we see this,
-
one passage, and Jesus, even answered that one.
-
Lord, if you're willing, you'll heal me and he said, I am, Well,
-
he was willing to heal him. He's not a respecter of person.
-
You're trying to make an excuse to stay sick.
-
Okay, I'll go back to the middle.
-
I love, you know, he'll show you.
-
He's the Healer. My gosh, he can save you from
-
Eternal damnation and he can't put cancer on the back door,
-
seriously, he'll beat cancer. He's with cancer.
-
He's stripped cancer of all of his power and authority, man.
-
Don't need to find a cure for cancer.
-
God's already give the man to cure for cancer.
-
His name is Jesus period. Don't come to me and my grandma
-
and I don't want to hear it. I will believe God and every man
-
will be a liar. There are many godly people I
-
know who for who failed to fight the good fight of faith.
-
And get it off. I don't judge them for that but
-
I know my God's word doesn't fail and I refuse to allow a
-
circumstance in someone's life to change the truth of God's
-
word. More people are believing
-
people's experiences than taking the time and reading the Bible.
-
Just let you know and guess relations are Bible reading plan
-
for to 2019 is available. You can pick it up after service
-
so you can read the whole Bible. Like us I'm amazed at how many
-
Believers Never actually read the Bible. so, if you've not
-
read it, cover to cover at least three times, You really have
-
nothing to say to me. Now, why do I say that?
-
Because everything has to be confirmed by two or three
-
Witnesses. And if you've not even
-
disciplined yourself to read the Bible, cover to cover three
-
times, you're not even a disciple.
-
No, what you are is you are a world Hopper.
-
Well, you want to do is not get punished for your sin, and you
-
just want to go to heaven, but not live the life that God died
-
for you to live while you're here.
-
Alleluia, I have many more things to say than that because
-
I'm gonna tell you right now, when we get released on video,
-
I'm not here to gain a crowd. I'm not here to be popular.
-
I'm not here to get a bunch of followers.
-
I don't want, nobody following me anyway, I want him to follow
-
Jesus. I'm not looking for great
-
tweets. I'm not looking for people to
-
give me thumbs up on Facebook though.
-
I am I'm not looking to pick a fight either, I'm just here to
-
communicate truth And I'm here to let them know if you're not
-
in a local body church and all you do is watch Us online.
-
You're wrong. Because you'll never live to the
-
fullness. God has you, because he desires
-
you to be connected to a local body, not to pop.
-
In when it's convenient for you, it wasn't convenient for Jesus
-
to leave heaven and put himself in the flesh and take the
-
suffering. He did to lay down his life so
-
that you could have a life abundantly I don't know what
-
this casual stuff is but it ain't casual.
-
If you're going to live the fullness of God, you got to
-
discipline yourself and allow the god kind to come out of you.
-
And that's what we're pulling on here.
-
Amen. So maybe I'm a vitamin shot to
-
you. Maybe I supplement B, I'm
-
preaching something. You're not even hearing in your
-
community and maybe you need to say, wow, this is good and I
-
want here. Maybe you need to ask God
-
relocate me to st. Augustine.
-
So I can show up at the church instead of just being a casual
-
looker and listener become a doer.
-
Amen. Now, listen when I preach like
-
that, I expect this congregation to shout with an uproar because
-
you know what it takes to live for God.
-
You know we ain't casual here and then you can't go getting
-
solid on me because this they're picking up all this stuff.
-
You sneeze will hear it. You burp.
-
We hear it. Your child cries.
-
We hear it and I will not be like the church that I just
-
heard of someone who went up and they went into with their child
-
and that they stopped him at the door and says, no you need to go
-
over here and you can be in our overflow room because we're
-
recording it. They didn't want to hear the
-
child cry in service. I'ma tell you right now, this is
-
about people. This is not about production, so
-
if a child cries, don't worry about, I'm going to preach and
-
I'll go on and they'll just No, even though you can't see it
-
somebody's upset now. That doesn't mean you wouldn't
-
at maybe be respectful enough say, okay.
-
I can't get my child under control.
-
I'm a walk out for a minute till we can't.
-
That's fine. I understand that.
-
But you understand, we're not here to try to put on a show.
-
We're here to show them Jesus and communicate the truth of
-
God's word. Don't be sending me a tithe.
-
If you don't go to church you go to your own church and give them
-
the time. You send an offering if God
-
leads it but that I'm not here to try to do that.
-
There's a world that's lost and dying.
-
There's a compromised word. There's this thing.
-
They like sin doesn't exist anymore but it does.
-
It's like carnality isn't in the church but it is and we've got
-
to say stuff. Preaching communicated.
-
Amen. Okay.
-
Brother enjoy following my example, observe these okay,
-
verse 16, however, let us keep living by the same standard,
-
which we obtained. That means don't backslide
-
Brethren. Joining follow my example,
-
observe those who walk according to the pattern, you haven't us
-
for many. Whom I've often told you and now
-
tell you even weeping that they are enemies of the Cross of
-
Christ, whose end is destruction, whose God is their
-
appetite and whose glory is their shame.
-
Who set their minds on Earthly things for our citizenship is in
-
heaven, which from which also we eagerly.
-
Wait, Our Savior and Lord Jesus. Christ.
-
My gosh man. Don't be a caretaker, don't say
-
well, it's amazing how sometimes people get in these obstacles or
-
Trials of life and then all of a sudden they used to be someone
-
who went after God. But now they just want to like
-
manage their life to make sure they get in heaven.
-
Paul said, I ran with some people who used to run with me
-
and now they don't roam with me. All they're doing is trying to
-
maintain their own life but unfortunately their end is
-
destruction and I will get to the fullness that they are.
-
In fact, some people started running in such a way that Paul
-
had to pray different for them. He became so concerned about
-
them because they used to run with him but now they're not
-
running with him. So concerned about them
-
eternally that he turned this prayer.
-
When do you pray this prayer? We Don't Preach on this prayer
-
much to E. Well, I pray for so and soon,
-
delivered him over to Satan for the destruction of their flesh.
-
So they would not blaspheme God. That is a new testament prayer.
-
New Testament, New Covenant, Grace, Covenant prayer.
-
I'm praying that the Lord to send them over to Satan for the
-
destruction, their flesh or they will not blaspheme God.
-
And that was love. Hallelujah.
-
No, we need to have a kingdom lifestyle.
-
Can I get an amen. So, we don't want to be, you
-
know, living dead, we're Undertaker's.
-
We don't want to be living religiously.
-
We're caretakers. We want to be like wise man who
-
persevere to be in the presence of God, we want to live the
-
kingdom. We won't have a kingdom
-
lifestyle. That means you're a risk-taker.
-
I said you're a risk-taker. You're a risk-taker.
-
Well, how is it was a risk-taker look?
-
Like, well risk taker, is this person, Romans chapter, 16,
-
verse 3 and 4 says greet, Priscilla and Aquila my fellow
-
workers in Christ who Rest their own necks for my life to whom.
-
Not only I will give thanks but also all the churches of the
-
Gentiles. Are you living in such a way
-
that your life's at risk, meaning you're risking your
-
reputation, you're risking your wealth and Fortune, you're
-
risking your comfort, you're risking everything about you.
-
So that you accomplish God's plan, this is the only person
-
that truly living on the Earth right now.
-
Philippians chapter 2, verse 29, and 30 says receive him.
-
Then in the Lord and with all joy and hold men like him in
-
high regard who in High regard those who have prospered and
-
have the big house and the nice cars and go on vacation when
-
they want to and show up at church when they want to and you
-
know, and are nice to people and do certain things, you know,
-
when they want to, you know, and just kind of go through life and
-
seem like they're successful, know who are we holding in high
-
regard because he came close to death.
-
Meaning lay down their life so much so that the work of God can
-
move forward, hold. Who in high regard the one who's
-
willing to sacrifice his own life, for the work of Christ,
-
risking his life to complete. What was deficient in your, in
-
your service, to me? Amen.
-
Now, I'm not saying we're all going to be a bunch of Martyrs,
-
but I'm saying when you're living life, are you asking, God
-
what do you require of mine? What am I risking?
-
What risk and risk is only when if you do it and it failed,
-
you're out. Because that's what faith
-
requires, Faith requires us to get out into a place that if
-
they won. But God, we're a mess and we
-
can't accomplish And in 2019, we need to be Risk Takers.
-
I'm what I mean by that is literally hear God and then step
-
out on that word. And a risk taker is someone who
-
will believe God at his word. Even though right now in the
-
natural, I can't even see it, but I'll persevere till it comes
-
to pass. Amen.
-
We got to be a risk taker for Acts chapter 15 verse 6.
-
He says men who have risked their lives for the name of our
-
Lord Jesus Christ. I'm telling you got to risk your
-
reputation risk. What you think you want to do a
-
lot risk? What people think about you for
-
the sake of following the call of God?
-
I risk things. For the sake of God, I let go of
-
career, I let go of my own personal desires that and plans
-
when God apprehended me that day in Atlanta, Georgia, I went
-
places without jobs at a risk. That if I got there and the John
-
never came through, then I couldn't pay.
-
Rent, couldn't pay food for my kids and we'd all be in trouble.
-
Yet God, showed up every time. I said he showed up every time.
-
I didn't wait for a job to court me.
-
I showed up in places, God ordained for me.
-
I know people will I can't go, I won't have insurance, I have
-
insurance, his name is Jesus. He's the best health care plan,
-
you God? Amen.
-
Well don't you feel bad? Pastor Earle then when you were
-
growing up with your kids y'all didn't have any health care.
-
I never took him to the doctor. What's the problem?
-
I always love it. When people say this, I heard
-
this the other day with somebody had a cracked windshield.
-
I think I was at the gym. Yeah, I'm a windshield crack.
-
He said but it's okay. My insurance paid for it now.
-
They didn't you did. I mean, how many monthly
-
payments did you make? Once you go calculate that, I
-
mean, it's like we think that somebody's doing something for
-
us. I mean if you never get an
-
accident in 20-something years, how much money do you think
-
you've paid to have that assurance?
-
Then all of a sudden when you total your car you could have
-
bought yourself one yourself. Oh, I'm preaching now because
-
they're taking your money and they're getting interest off of
-
it and you feel secure. I mean who really wants health
-
care? Because who wants to say, I hope
-
I get sick. I hope I get so sick.
-
I hope I have the worst diseases.
-
I hope I get I hope I need the most expensive surgeries So, I
-
can get the most out of my insurance.
-
I mean, who does that, right? No, you're like I'll pay it hope
-
to never use it. You willfully hope to never use
-
what you expense every month. What?
-
And feel empowered by that. But then God says tithe.
-
Now, you messing with my money, Pastor, you giving it to the
-
insurance company and the minute you need to make a claim, they
-
drop you. Yes, preaching.
-
Good now, yeah. This is good stuff.
-
Like a weary land or break a. Take a risk financially.
-
Now we don't want to brag Blaze. Well, we got a caretaker little
-
Nest Egg, because I'm going to retire one day where you
-
retiring too. Hey, what do you have outside of
-
God? It'd be better for you to invest
-
in the Kingdom because he said, if you invest in him, you'll
-
play Treasures up. Where the moth?
-
Can't give to Ruskin destroy these?
-
Can't steal, but that's called trust.
-
That's called Faith. That's called taking her.
-
But what if I give God all my money through all these years
-
and it doesn't come through? Well, then you don't believe
-
because he'll never he said, I've never seen the righteous
-
forsaken or their children, begging for bread.
-
You got to take a risk, I'm gonna empty out my covers and
-
give it to somebody else. This Christmas season, what you
-
going to eat, doesn't matter. God told me to do and I'm doing
-
it where you going to starve to death.
-
You watch because you know what? When you actually follow God's
-
word, what risks are you really taking?
-
Cuz his word will never return to us.
-
Boyd. Now I'm telling you right now,
-
if you're living the life of God a kingdom life you're going to
-
get out somewhere to where all of a sudden looks like.
-
Bro, you're an idiot and you'll say but God and then when it's
-
time that like dude God was there.
-
Yep you're right. And so many people man, I want
-
to see the supernatural. You got to be a risk-taker.
-
You're not gonna see the supernatural by accident.
-
You're not going to walk him in miracles signs and wonders by
-
accident. Now you're ready to step out
-
when I would really love to see people healed today.
-
Well, then, why don't you actually lay hands on the purple
-
and put the person in Public's when God tells you to do so
-
well. But what if they don't get it,
-
that's not your responsibility. Your responsibility is respond
-
because I can guarantee you this if you don't lay hands on them,
-
they're not going to get it. If God told you lay hands on
-
that person that you went by Jesus.
-
You can I pray for you real quick because you don't know,
-
this could be one of the nine leopards who as they went stayed
-
away from Jesus. Yet got healed, only one came
-
back which was a Samaritan and began to Rejoice to God and say
-
you healed my body. They may leave Publix Be healed
-
the minute they crank up their car and all of a sudden can't
-
find you but because you took the risk to obey the Holy Ghost
-
and lay hands on the sick, they did recover.
-
It ain't about your reputation. It's about your obedience is
-
about you stepping out and doing God, and I'm hungry, but I feel
-
like the Lord sent me to pay for my co-workers word food.
-
Do it take a risk and then your stomach grumbles the rest of the
-
day because nobody buys you nothing.
-
But six months from then. I had somebody send me a smoked
-
turkey while I was in India. I mean it today.
-
Vladimir took a picture of this fat turkey at my doorstep.
-
Seriously. I've given a lot of food away.
-
So it has a way of showing back up and it's not cause I'm broken
-
couldn't a bone it myself but my God's that good.
-
You understand he's so good that even when I have it he does a
-
exceedingly abundantly far beyond what I could think or
-
imagine because I'm a risk taker.
-
I'm not here for me. I'm here for him.
-
I don't have to care for my life.
-
He cares for it. I'd be concerned about dead
-
things, he took care of the Dead things, and they gave me a life.
-
Now, all I got to do a stand and believe our Usher's well or us
-
have already distributed our communion at this point.
-
I want us to do communion together.
-
All right, so if you need an element means if you didn't
-
receive one. Then I want to encourage you
-
right now, raise your hand or Usher's, that get one to you
-
say, hey, I don't have a communion element.
-
I came in a little late or slit in or miss that.
-
At hand off, just raise your hand or Usher, don't come around
-
and give you one because we going to 2019.
-
As we talk about celebrating Jesus Christ as our Lord.
-
You all right, everybody. Good.
-
Amen. I love it.
-
Y'all pulled some things out of me today.
-
I think God when you actually want to hear the word of God and
-
pull things out, I want to take communion together for though
-
and say, well can I I'm not a partner of anchor features can
-
I? Yeah, you can take communion if
-
you're a Believer now, if you're not a Believer, don't Okay, and
-
if you are a Believer and you're in sinning, you know, it don't
-
unless you repent. So, why are you saying that
-
Pastor Earle? I mean, I like, can't I take it
-
because the Bible says, you shouldn't take it because the
-
Bible says, if you take a communion where you recognize
-
the death burial and resurrection of Jesus, in an
-
unworthy manner, you'll take it bringing judgment to yourself.
-
So it's actually God's mercy. If you're not going to repent to
-
just with stain. Was staying.
-
Now God's best plan is that you actually repent and just get
-
right with God child of God. Just get reconnected with the
-
Lord, he loves you so much because when you were lost him
-
were really no good and had no hope Christ, still loves you and
-
made a way for you. How much more you being his
-
child? Does he want you to stay in
-
fellowship with him? How much more?
-
How much quicker Is he there to forgive you of all your
-
transgression? How much quicker?
-
How much quicker?
