  1. Don't you want to represent the kingdom of God?

  2. Sure. And so, the Bible tells us over

  3. at 1st Thessalonians 1:9 a few of these scriptures.

  4. You've heard before, but we want to bring them back to your

  5. remembrance because again, it's not good enough that you've come

  6. across them one time or that you've read them.

  7. One time. What's important is that you're

  8. able to keep them stirred up in your spirit man so that you'll

  9. act on them. And there's so many elements of

  10. the Believers walk that have to keep themselves stirred up, so

  11. that they are actually doing the things that were called to do in

  12. this particular. Two passes.

  13. It says this for they themselves report about us, what kind of a

  14. reception we had with you and how you turned to God from Idols

  15. to serve a living and true God. So we are deserve a living and

  16. true. God, we are deserve a living and

  17. true God. We're going to key in on this

  18. word serve tonight. If you go over to Colossians

    Colossians 3 chapter mention

  19. chapter 3, verses, 23 and 24, you know this past.

  20. But let's look at it again. It says and whatever you do do.

  21. Your work heartedly as for the Lord, rather than for rather

  22. than for, that means don't be trying to please man.

  23. Now that mean you're not going to do a good job for men, but

  24. it's not because you want them to be pleased with you.

  25. What you want is God to be pleased with you, okay?

  26. And this is why we do it but he said, do your work hardly as for

  27. the law rather than man verse 24 knowing say knowing knowing this

  28. is like this is going to take place if you'll do the first

  29. verse This takes place. If you do the first verse this

  30. takes place, if you do the first verse.

  31. So 24 is conditional on 23. If you'll, if you'll do whatever

  32. you do, you do it, your work hardly as for the Lord and not

  33. men, this is what you can know knowing that from the Lord, you

  34. will receive receive the reward of The Inheritance.

  35. It is the Lord Christ whom you served.

  36. Now, this is not, you'll receive salvation because To be born

  37. again and write with our king is not a work, lest any man should

  38. boast. It's not like we're serving God

  39. on our own merits, and getting him to recognize that will do

  40. what he says. And he ought to give us a pass.

  41. Forgive us of our sins because of our Merit.

  42. Look how well we're serving everyone else.

  43. Know what it is is that you're in your inheritance.

  44. As for salvation comes through the belief system that Jesus

  45. Christ died on the cross. He shed his blood for For our

  46. sin, you accepted him as your lord and savior.

  47. And from his work, you became a child of God.

  48. But once you became a child of God, then you serve the king.

  49. I said you serve the king. Then when you serve the king,

  50. you get the rewards because the king always were Wars obedience.

  51. And there are things that you can walk in today, rewards that

  52. you can have in this life, not just the one to come, but right

  53. now, if you will wholeheartedly sir, Serve God.

  54. Now, this word serve, if we take it into the Greek and we pulled

  55. this word out and look at it in. The Greek is going to be defined

  56. in this capacity. It means to serve in a humble

  57. Manner and in response to the demands or commands of others,

  58. all right? To be under the control of some

  59. influence and to serve the interests of such.

  60. So you're saying here, is that God?

  61. I serve you. So in essence, I submit myself

  62. to do your will I allow you to dictate my actions.

  63. That's what I'm doing, okay. So when we take this hardly as

  64. for the Lord, it means make up your mind to work for the Lord

  65. work, his work, his purpose, your work is the purpose of God.

  66. So, when you do your hardly work, it means I'm doing the

  67. purpose. The King has assigned me to do I

  68. submit my will to his way of doing it.

  69. Now this Greek word if we break it up because it's a Pound word.

  70. The beginning means is it means to be devoted to the disregard

  71. of one's interest. This is what Timothy was spoken

  72. of. So, great of Paul in the his

  73. Philippian letter, he said when he was talking about that

  74. particular Church says, I'm going to send one of the guys

  75. that are hanging out with me. Now there were many hanging with

  76. him but he said I can only send you Timothy for.

  77. He's the only one, who's what like-minded as myself.

  78. What was like minded? That means he wasn't seeking.

  79. His own interest. These other guys are so again,

  80. this word serve, when you break up this Greek word, it means I

  81. disregard my interest for the interests of the one I'm

  82. serving. Now, that's easier said, than

  83. done guys. I'm just gonna be honest with

  84. you, and you already know this from your own personal

  85. experience and walk with God that serving him and letting

  86. your interest go is kind of difficult.

  87. But here's the thing you can do it.

  88. You can do it. And if you want to receive all

  89. the rewards God has for you in this life, then you have to do.

  90. So, listen to people can come and serve at a table.

  91. The reason why they're serving at a table is two different

  92. things. Some can come and serve the

  93. table whomever is at the table, because they generally want them

  94. to be taken care of, it was really just about them.

  95. The other and whatever reward comes from that they'll receive.

  96. But there's others that weren't the table.

  97. Not because of the person they're serving.

  98. But because of the tip they want to receive from both the

  99. serving, but the motive of why they serve is different, I don't

  100. really care what you give. Cause you're not my source.

  101. I'm here to serve you because I'm really serving as if God

  102. sitting at the table and whatever you tipped me a reward

  103. me, I'll receive and be thankful But ultimately my Ward does come

  104. from the Lord that attitudes a lot different than all.

  105. Let me show you the highest price items.

  106. Oh let me take you to the the menu that serves the drinks

  107. because if I can get you, highly intoxicated you become really

  108. profitable not only for the restaurant.

  109. But also for my pocket, Are you with me?

  110. And so I'm trying to move it in such a way and work you in such

  111. a way so that I get from you and if you can't discern but God can

  112. you sometimes can't tell which person you have.

  113. But the thing is, God can tell because God knows your heart.

  114. Hallelujah, we see Phillip, Italy say that state me, you

  115. know where God knows my heart. Don't judge me, God knows my

  116. heart. God does know your heart, you're

  117. right. And the fact that you're Saying

  118. that right now. Probably means you're in trouble

  119. and you need to repent. Right?

  120. Right. Because you don't don't talk,

  121. don't tell. Don't judge me, okay?

  122. I'm not, I don't know why y'all hopped up on catnip right now?

  123. I mean, seriously, to just humble yourself it's going to

  124. be. All right, you know, I mean, if

  125. you freeze it stinks, it stinks. I'm just talking to you about

  126. your fruit. I'm not judging you as a person,

  127. potentially, right? Anyway, so this, there's a heart

  128. issue guys here. So we see, when we break this

  129. word up, it literally means. Again, it means to be Led to

  130. another and disregard one's own interest, but the latter part of

  131. this Greek word means this to bond.

  132. To bond. So in essence, what we see with

  133. this word, this picture of this word serve in these two Paths of

  134. scripture is that you are humbling yourself in a way that

  135. you're going to receive a command from the one you're

  136. serving and you're disregarding, your will and your binding

  137. yourself to their will and serve their purpose.

  138. That's what it means to serve in this pack capacity and God wants

  139. us to serve the Lord in this way.

  140. Now again, that means you've got to shift your thinking and it's

  141. not about what you can do. It's about what God wants you to

  142. do, and then he'll greatly reward you according to your

  143. serving. So let's go into another passage

  144. of scripture that I'm a read this out.

  145. The passion translation, new translation itself and it helps

  146. Fitness really into today's modern vernacular and is going

  147. to be better for me. Me to read it out this

  148. translation for you because I think you can get a better

  149. picture and how it is in the new King James or in The New

  150. American Standard Ephesians chapter 6, verses 5 through 8

    Ephesians 6:5–8

  151. says it this way, those who are employed should listen to their

  152. employers and obey their instruction with great respect

  153. and honor, serve them with humility in your hearts as

  154. though you were working for the master.

  155. Hey, men as though you were working for Who the Master?

  156. Always do what is right. And not only when others are

  157. watching so that you may please Christ.

  158. As his servants, by doing his will serve your employer's

  159. wholeheartedly and with love as though you were serving Christ

  160. and not men in that powerful. He says it's being sure that

  161. anything you do that is beautiful and excellent will be

  162. at will be repaid by who our Lord, whether you are an

  163. employee or Or an employer. Now, we get hung up on these

  164. terms employee-employer. A lot of times when the reality

  165. is we are seriously just serving the king.

  166. Amen. So what we, what we need to

  167. recognize is a person who serves can come to this table and serve

  168. with a hard towards God and even if the person at the table,

  169. stiffs them attempt. Or gives them a low one.

  170. They realize the tips not over with you.

  171. Even if they give them a great one, they still know.

  172. God will repay me because I did not work this table to get what

  173. you could give me. I work.

  174. The table is if the King was already here.

  175. Hallelujah. So amazing.

  176. Because if you just weren't the table for yourself, then you

  177. only get what comes when the table is finished.

  178. But when you work it for the Lord, not only can you get paid

  179. in the natural and whatever it is, you're serving, but then God

  180. will repay you. Because he knows you were

  181. actually doing it on my account every week or every two weeks or

  182. every month you get a paycheck, if you are employed somewhere,

  183. if you are a business owner, your your your clientele or

  184. coming in and somewhere, a salary, or whatever benefit

  185. package comes out of that, you're receiving income, and if

  186. you only work your business, or you only work as a manager, or

  187. you only work as an employee, OE for someone, just for your

  188. paycheck, then when you get it, you get it.

  189. But when you actually serve that company, are you own your

  190. company in service to God? You're not limited to what you

  191. can get in the natural by working hard and being diligent,

  192. but you'll get an additional because God will repay you as

  193. well. The Bible tells us in Hebrews

    Hebrews 11:6

  194. 11:6. It says without faith.

  195. It's impossible to please God. Right for We must believe that

  196. he is right and that he's a rewarder of those who diligently

  197. seek him. Not going to go too far into

  198. that verse. But I do want us to know that

  199. word where water when you break it down in the Greek.

  200. It literally means this one who pays wage to someone, so your

  201. faith requires God to pay you a wage, he's a rewarder.

  202. He is paying a wage. So again, you're not limited in

  203. the natural of the literal task. You're serving when you serve

  204. it. As unto the Lord.

  205. In essence, you get the double dip.

  206. Okay, I'll go over here. I don't know about you but I

  207. want to double dip. I used to do a double did when I

  208. was in the Florida Army National Guard.

  209. That means that I would I could get on what they call man days.

  210. Okay, a man days would I would be working somewhere on post and

  211. they would pay me according to my rank that I was currently at.

  212. But because I was on man days I could take leave from my federal

  213. job and so I Paid from the federal job.

  214. So I could do military work. And so, during those two weeks,

  215. I would double dip. I would get paid in both.

  216. Hallelujah. Then if you ended up getting on

  217. an assignment somewhere and had some military leave, not only to

  218. get paid from your your job, but then you got paid for your

  219. assignment plus what they call per diem plus travel, maybe even

  220. Hazard pay. I mean, you can get a bankroll,

  221. thank you for paying your taxes. I'm telling you right now you

  222. would really start rolling into some cash.

  223. And there was a lot of guys, they would end up getting their

  224. per diem, which is like a food allowance and they wouldn't even

  225. touch it. It would be like thousands of

  226. dollars, you know, 1700 2025 a hundred dollars a month, just

  227. for food that are like, I mean, none of us were even eating that

  228. because they were feeding us too.

  229. Hallelujah, I wasn't complaining.

  230. You know, don't be upset because we serve because we could do for

  231. you. Just let you know.

  232. Alright. It's alright.

  233. So my point is that you do want to double dip.

  234. Don't limit your life to a service of only natural pleasing

  235. of men or whatever. That maybe to get that natural

  236. reward. God says, don't limit yourself

  237. there, actually do it to me. And if you'll do it for me, not

  238. only can you get a natural War, but you'll get a supernatural

  239. world as well. Amen, So with that being said,

  240. let's go over to John, chapter 12, John chapter 12 verse 26,

John 12 chapter mention John 12:26

  241. says this, if anyone serves me. Now, this is the Lord speaking

  242. John chapter 12 verse 26. He says, if anyone serves me, he

    John 12:26

  243. must follow me. Alright, that's some pretty

  244. strong language, right there. All right, so let's make sure we

  245. Define it as it's written. All right?

  246. What it does not say is if which is conditional.

  247. What's that mean? You don't have to but if you

  248. don't then you don't get the reward nor will you get the

  249. honor. So this whole verse is

  250. conditional on what you do if who Anyone so who's anyone, my

  251. definition, anyone can that be you?

  252. So we're not talking to the fivefold minister.

  253. We're not taught. Listen, we're not even talking

  254. to the Saints. Now, that doesn't mean a balloon

  255. unbeliever can follow God, he can follow God up to the

  256. Revelation, he has. But ultimately the Lord's going

  257. to say you need Jesus then at that point you had to break over

  258. into Jesus but you can't as an unbeliever follow some

  259. principles of God and get God's blessing which he will

  260. ultimately point you to Jesus that.

  261. Then you're going to have to come up and make that account,

  262. right? How do we know this is true?

  263. Because the Rich Young Ruler Was blessed, because he followed

  264. what God Said, but he still was lacking.

  265. So, he goes to the great teachers, as what must I do to

  266. inherit eternal life, he said, just keep the Commandment son.

  267. He said, I've been doing that since I was a child and he's

  268. Rich, he's wealthy, he's prospered because of God's

  269. principles, but he needed it now submit to the lordship of Jesus.

  270. It weathers one thing you like. Ultimately, if you want to get

  271. over into the Overflow and have Treasures in Heaven, some,

  272. you're going to have to let me be the Lord of your life.

  273. Gently. He did not follow then and once

  274. he didn't follow, then he's ceased to follow him.

  275. He has ceased to follow. All right.

  276. If anyone serves me, he must follow me.

  277. That doesn't say if anyone serves me, he can he can decide

  278. when he wants to to come and hook up with me and go where I'm

  279. going and do what I'm doing. Okay, Hallelujah.

  280. I mean again guys the Bible is really straightforward, you

  281. know, and it's an awesome thing. If we just actually literally do

  282. what it says we're going to have.

  283. It literally what it says, but if we all of a sudden began to

  284. make, excuse why we can't do a thing, then we'll also make an

  285. excuse, why God's not doing a thing, and then we'll make

  286. excuses or we'll start there. Wrongly interpret God's word is

  287. if God chooses, not to do certain things.

  288. When the reality is this really was our issue called, we didn't

  289. fulfill the Scripture. It Minds me of what brother

  290. Hagin said Kenneth E Hagin said one time when God took him and

  291. spoke to him and said I was reading a book today concerning

  292. this particular account and brother Hagin was called into

  293. the first phase of ministry. He had been doing 12 years of

  294. pastoring but God never called him to pasture.

  295. And so he went goes into go out to minister to people, to

  296. churches and go teach their people face.

  297. So he answered the call and he went, did it a year later he

  298. sits down to settle accounts with God.

  299. In essence, he says now Lord I obeyed you ice, went out, and I

  300. began to travel around and Minister.

  301. I let go of that church. I'll let go of that parsonage.

  302. I let go of that salary. We were doing good.

  303. And now, when I look at my account and I look at the car

  304. that I no longer have, because I had to sell it for junk, and I

  305. look at the whole of my shoes and I looked at I only have one

  306. suit and I look that I'm not better off this year.

  307. I'm going to have to hold you accountable as your word says,

  308. if you're willing and obedient you eat the good of the lamb and

  309. the Lord speaks to him and says that verse don't call you.

  310. Don't qualify for that verse. He said, what do you mean?

  311. I don't qualify for that burst. The Lord says you were obedient.

  312. You did it, but you weren't willing so really the whole

  313. time. He's out there and he's not

  314. seeing the income and he's not seeing it and obviously the

  315. challenges that go with him traveling and what was some of

  316. the challenges that he had? Here's one of the challenges, he

  317. would go minister at a church for a week or two weeks and they

  318. wouldn't even take up an offering for him.

  319. Some Churches, he would go by, they wouldn't even feed him.

  320. They assumed he had for himself. Because the gospel is free.

  321. So here, he's not doing better. The Lord says yeah you are

  322. obedient but you weren't willing.

  323. He said, well and I tell you right now only takes about 10

  324. seconds to get willing and so he got willing.

  325. And then the next time he came with him, he was doing better

  326. off. Can I get an amen?

  327. So, a lot of times we don't watch out, we're not actually

  328. doing the scripture as God says, and serving God's, a serious

  329. deal. But again, if we reduce the

  330. whole context of the scripture that ask Jesus to come into your

  331. heart and forgive you of your sins.

  332. So when you die, you go to heaven.

  333. Then you'll wait to serve him when you get to heaven.

  334. But God's not waiting for you to get to heaven to hit for you to

  335. serve him. He's saying, I want you to serve

  336. me now because I'm not going to wait till you get to heaven to

  337. give you a reward. I'm not gonna wait till you come

  338. to heaven to treat you as a son and a daughter of God.

  339. I'm not going to wait till heaven to take care of my own

  340. family, but if I'm going to honor you, and if I'm going to

  341. take care of you, and if I'm gonna repay you or reward, you,

  342. then you're going to have to serve me, meaning, you're gonna

  343. have to take your will Attach it to my will disregard your

  344. desires, pick up, only my desires, be bound to that, and

  345. do it with all your heart. Hallelujah.

  346. So he says, if anyone serves me, he must notice he again did give

  347. you the option at this point. He's saying, this is how it

  348. looks. You must follow me and where I

  349. am there. My servant will be also, well,

  350. where is he? We know he's seated at the right

  351. hand of the father. Is he not?

  352. Well, are you there with him? You are in word and spirit, but

  353. you're not physically, and you're only there and word and

  354. spirit. If you actually believe that

  355. you've been raised up seated in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  356. Okay? So, in a literal sense, you

  357. can't actually be physically present in heaven with Jesus on

  358. the throne that He sits on at the right hand of the father, so

  359. obviously he's not telling you, you can't be with him.

  360. So what does he mean? He means then number one, we

  361. know where he is. Where is he and the Earth?

  362. Can anyone tell me? He's in the Bible, right?

  363. Cause he's the word of God. That's one place.

  364. He is the second place. He is.

  365. Someone said he's in us. That's true.

  366. He is in you. If you've hidden the word in

  367. your heart and the Holy Ghost Bears, witness with your spirit.

  368. You're a child of God is God Christ in you the hope of glory.

  369. So he's in his work. Where is alive and active?

  370. He's in you because you are the Temple of the, Holy Ghost.

  371. But here's another place. He is, anybody know where he's

  372. at, he's in the church because this his body.

  373. So, yes, you can talk to yourself.

  374. Be amongst yourself, have the word for yourself, but you can't

  375. be with him. Also, if you're not in church,

  376. okay, hallelujah. Amen.

  377. And you can't pick and choose when whenever Jesus says church

  378. is going on church is going on. And if he's assigned you to a

  379. local body with a vision to run with and went whatever that

  380. church decides that God saying we should do this and I just

  381. choose to be scriptural myself because the Bible tells me and

  382. Hebrews chapter 10 to not forsake, the assembling of

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  383. ourselves together as is the habit of some, but all the more

  384. say, all the more not all the less.

  385. But all the more as the day approaches.

  386. This is why I have no problem that we can raise up people on

  387. Sunday, morning to Services have a kingdom Institute on Sunday

  388. night, have a Monday night, Mighty Men, 318 on Wednesday and

  389. I have service Thursday night. I have band practice Friday

  390. night have of whatever would show up.

  391. You know, any Spanish service on the fourth one or Friday night

  392. explosion with our children or, you know, a women's ministry,

  393. call her Man's Ministry, mighty, man.

  394. Whatever it may be. I have no problem.

  395. Why? Because we're getting closer to

  396. Jesus, and Jesus, if I'm following him, he's in the

  397. church. And the church should be open to

  398. a more than less as we get closer.

  399. And if you'll continue to get involved in those areas when

  400. they're open, then you'll find yourself following him fully and

  401. you'll get the next thing there. There, my servant will be also,

  402. and if anyone serves me, the father will honor him.

  403. Now the thing With this word serves here, in this passage of

  404. scripture is not the same Greek word as the one we defined in

  405. the other three. This one is a little different.

  406. This one means this. It means to be an attendant To

  407. wait upon. Or as a host.

  408. It also means this, it means an attendant.

  409. Are you ready? Oh, waiter Now you understand

  410. why someone's been taking care of the table tonight?

  411. I understand why you got some dinner mints when you came in

  412. because we're feeding you the bread of life tonight.

  413. Hallelujah. Amen.

  414. There's some water. We're pouring out that when you

  415. come and drink from it, you'll never thirst again.

  416. That's what we serving tonight. Can I get an?

  417. Amen. All right, so we need to learn

  418. how to be great waiters or waitresses.

  419. All right, I'm gonna say waiter because I have a waiter tonight.

  420. I don't have a waitress up here, all right?

  421. And the reality is we need to And what this means, the vine of

  422. this Greek word means this to render any kind of service,

  423. okay, and begin, we want to follow him or serve him fully.

  424. We are here because the king asked us to be a part of his

  425. kingdom while we were yet, sinners he died for us and then

  426. he called us into his family. No one went after God.

  427. No, not one but God apprehended you.

  428. God went after you. God says, I lie for you to come

  429. and sit at my table. And sup with me.

  430. Hallelujah. But as we come really, we want

  431. to wait on him. I said we want to wait on him.

  432. So I'm going to take some time to do some types and shadows of

  433. what you're familiar with already in the natural and bring

  434. it into perspective of your spiritual serving of God, can I

  435. get an amen. What we're talking about is the

  436. kingdom of God is like a waiter who serves at a restaurant.

  437. Okay, so let's look at a few things.

  438. The first thing we understand about a waiter is a way to

  439. represents the restaurant not themselves.

  440. I said the waiter represents the restaurant not themselves.

  441. Hallelujah. You know what I've noticed

  442. because when waiters especially ones that this is their

  443. profession and here's the thing, you've been born again, you've

  444. been bought with a price, your life is not your own part of

  445. your Christian, walk with God is service.

  446. In fact, he says this in Romans, he says, in Romans 12:1, he

    Romans 12:1

  447. talks about that, we are to be renewed in our mind, right?

  448. We, and there is a reasonable service.

  449. Of worship. so, as Believers is reasonable for us to serve the

  450. king and a person whose life is in there, waiting when they are

  451. scheduled, they show up We hallelujah.

  452. Amen. Now, I understand cuz we all

  453. were there's days. You want to call out?

  454. I get it and you do call out. Well, and this happens at

  455. church, don't you sometimes like man I just can't go ahead.

  456. I'm just, you know and and there's no condemnation in that.

  457. No problem. I understand.

  458. But do you consistently come to wait on the Lord?

  459. Or is there always a call out? Because obviously if a

  460. restaurant owner, had a waiter who kept calling out what do you

  461. think he would do with that waiter be like man you're not

  462. with us. Amen, you're not with us, but

  463. when you do show up, you put on the uniform, the outfit.

  464. The outfit that the restaurant says you wear, aren't you

  465. supposed to put on the full armor of God?

  466. And there's something you're supposed to put on you supposed

  467. to put on the new man, you got to put on the new man.

  468. When you show up here at church, you don't put on the old man and

  469. show them because people out in the parking lot, you don't put

  470. on the old man and come in like a drunkard.

  471. You don't come in the old man, and you totaling cuss like a

  472. sailor. Do you put on the new, man?

  473. You put on Joy. Yeah, you put on Joy.

  474. You put, you put on, peace. That is a uniform that you get

  475. to wear when you come to stand before the Lord.

  476. When you come to wait upon the Lord.

  477. And there's two sides did this. When we can look at this table,

  478. we could say it this way. You wait on the Lord, the Lord's

  479. at the table. But you know what, there's

  480. another side of this. It's you waiting on the world.

  481. Meaning you're serving the, the world.

  482. What the owner of the restaurant has to serve them.

  483. Because you represent the restaurant, we represent Christ.

  484. So we'll go. And we'll say then the in Christ

  485. says, this is what we serve. This is what's on the menu.

  486. So somebody can come in and say, I want, you know, a Whopper with

  487. cheese, but you're in the Drive-Thru of Chick-fil-A,

  488. there's a problem, right? And you say listen, I'm going to

  489. have them all. Hey there, like you got to go

  490. across the street. Yes, sometimes doesn't the world

  491. come in and say, well, we won't God on our terms.

  492. He says Christ is on the menu. This is what happens.

  493. This is how. And you, as a way to represent

  494. the menu, I'm sorry, that's not on our menu.

  495. I'm sorry, that's not on our menu.

  496. I'm sorry, that's all I got on me, but your choose to pick

  497. anything. Now, you can go eat at the

  498. devil's place all day long. Hallelujah.

  499. So waiter represents the restaurant not themselves.

  500. The next thing we know this is no matter which restaurant you

  501. go to, you always expect the waiter to do their purpose.

  502. I mean you have an expectation. Do you ever go down?

  503. Say hey, scuse me. Can I get your job description?

  504. I don't know. Not about you, man.

  505. You know what you supposed to do?

  506. I mean, what's in your job description?

  507. I want to make sure you doing this, right?

  508. No, because of seeing what they are to do you all of a sudden.

  509. Assume that that's how everybody supposed to be.

  510. This is why you as a Believer people to be life.

  511. Aren't you a Christian? So they get a little confused

  512. when you don't act like one based upon what they thought.

  513. Now, if they think you should do a thing that you're not supposed

  514. to use a number job description, not let me do that.

  515. But a lot of times people observe us why.

  516. Because the world's looking for Jesus, so when I go to a

  517. restaurant care who it is, I don't care, whether I'm paying

  518. five dollars for plate or whether I'm paying $50 for

  519. plate. I expect the waiter to do what

  520. he was called to do. Amen.

  521. And how many you you're not really excited when they don't

  522. do what they were called to do. Now, you wonder why the world

  523. struggles with the church. Hallelujah.

  524. How's your servant? All right, a waiter is judged

  525. not by their looks as much as their service.

  526. And you know, our waitress had get tattoos all over.

  527. No. But man she kept my cup full.

  528. I mean, she was running over here.

  529. Making sure we have I don't care what you look like.

  530. I lost I didn't even see her. All I saw was her actions.

  531. God is not a man that he looks on the outward appearance, but

  532. he judges a heart. I'm telling you right now.

  533. You don't worry about what people think about you on the

  534. outside. You just start serving.

  535. God. They won't even worry about what

  536. you look like. On the outside prejudices will

  537. start to disappear. Yeah, when you serve the Lord,

  538. now, I'm not saying you won't get persecuted because have you

  539. ever been to those places? I mean, I have, I've been around

  540. those. I mean, when I say that, I've

  541. been around those tables, the people that the waitress seem

  542. like, I don't care how much they are come in and showing up, they

  543. complaining about everything, this isn't done.

  544. I don't like that, I want something else.

  545. Can I talk to your manager, like bro, you need to take it

  546. outside, you know, you had a bad day.

  547. Can I massage your neck or something?

  548. What's wrong, you know? Massage Right?

  549. I'm hanging in there, like smiling.

  550. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

  551. You know, I'm sorry. You're thinking I know you want

  552. to slap them right now. I know that's what you want to

  553. do and you're a walking and self-control, hey, men, walking

  554. and self-control. It's amazing.

  555. How waiter can walk in self-control when they serve a

  556. table and we have a fruit of the spirit.

  557. I said we have a fruit of the spirit.

  558. Alright, so again man, the waiters A judge so much as they

  559. look, but as their service, listen to this.

  560. Another thing a waiter does a waiter, should know the menu and

  561. today's special and you been in those hate.

  562. So, so what's the specials? You know, I don't, I just got

  563. here. I don't know.

  564. Let me go. Find out.

  565. Okay, you go find out. Right.

  566. So what's what's the most popular thing on your menu?

  567. You know. I don't know.

  568. I just got here or you know, I really don't know.

  569. Hmm. It's do we serve that up?

  570. Well, we do have mashed potatoes, I did not know that.

  571. All right, your life won't, you sit down, let me wait on you

  572. right but how many Believers don't know the word.

  573. Oh yeah, I'm preaching now. They don't know the word and all

  574. of a sudden the world says, what's going on.

  575. You know, why is all this stuff happening?

  576. You know, I just got here. I don't know.

  577. I mean, I got born again ten years ago.

  578. And man, I'm still trying to figure this thing out, bro.

  579. Yes, you ain't studied the menu. I said, you've not studied the

  580. menu and here's the thing, God's word is eternal Everlasting, but

  581. sometimes he runs some daily specials, guess what?

  582. Today's Shal is healing and because you all did today, we

  583. going to lay hands on you, and you're going to be healed before

  584. you leave, because it gets us peer in operation right now.

  585. Wants to heal your body. That's the special today.

  586. But do you know what the special is if you're not talking to the

  587. owner of the restaurant? Amen.

  588. It's all clicking now in it. You'll never go to a restaurant.

  589. The same. I hope this is the, this is the

  590. goal that when I wait, your comes, y'all later comes, our

  591. waitress comes. You're going to see God showing

  592. up. Are you going to say?

  593. Oh my gosh, here comes my Christian walk.

  594. Hallelujah. You know what else the waiter

  595. does listen a waiter make suggestions based on the needs

  596. of the ones they serve. All of a sudden they'll go, you

  597. know, I like you know what, then we have this as your choice.

  598. You know, well have you ever had this?

  599. You know what I've not had it personally myself but I hear

  600. it's quite nice to be honest with you.

  601. I cannot give a comment on that. I'm not, you know what?

  602. Every time I come in to lunch, I myself by that.

  603. It's the best thing on the menu. So I've been in restaurants at

  604. the waiter shows up and goes tonight.

  605. Specialism begins. Just boom tell me how it's made

  606. and I'm like drooling at the mouth thing and I'm doing that I

  607. don't have to read it. Now your words have compelled me

  608. to want to eat what you said does your life because you wait

  609. on the Lord when you go talk to the world compelled them to

  610. drool out the mouth and say I want to eat what you're eating.

  611. What? You just said that, I could

  612. have, I want it. Are you able to pit paint a

  613. picture of God? Specials are God's menu in such

  614. a way that the world is drooling at the mouth to taste and see

  615. that the Lord is good. It's good.

  616. That's why you got to know the menu.

  617. You can't make suggestions if you don't want know what the

  618. menu is and you know what, sometimes you can say.

  619. Now listen, if you do that, if you happen to have this

  620. challenge, know this peanut oils in that or if you know if you're

  621. looking for gluten-free option. Boom.

  622. But again, if you don't know how to navigate them, then you can

  623. actually serve somebody something that can hurt their

  624. life. And how many Believers start

  625. saying stuff without studying out themselves just called pre

  626. You're so and so on YouTube said it.

  627. And want to know why they're choking and you're having to do

  628. the heimlich maneuver on them because you gave them something

  629. that they can't have. That their bodies in it's in

  630. their intolerant to. They're not ready to receive it

  631. yet. Can I get an amen?

  632. Alright, the next thing we understand about a waiter's, a

  633. waiter takes orders with a smile, the good ones.

  634. And what would you like? Okay, that's unsweet tea with

  635. lemon zucchini frittata if we were at Carrabba's.

  636. If I'm over at black Molly's I'm getting the artichoke dip,

  637. right? We're picking that up.

  638. You know, we're going to take that much.

  639. I've been there enough. They're saying y'all both get no

  640. sweet tea with lemon. And you getting the dip today?

  641. Oh man, they talking to me. I actually have there's one guy

  642. been working on for a little while.

  643. You know, been showing the love of God and we my wife and I went

  644. over there the other day. I had an appointment at 1:30

  645. and, you know, we're rolling in there about 12:40 close.

  646. To 12:45 is packed out, we're looking around.

  647. Nobody's got really got food. We're like, we're not gonna make

  648. it, we gotta go. So we're like, forget it, don't

  649. worry about it. So we walked out, he comes

  650. running out. Are you just gonna walk up in

  651. here and then leave I said, man, I gotta go.

  652. I gotta meet him and I'd love to I said I was fixing to suggest

  653. they get you because I know that you'll take care of me because

  654. if you know, I got an appointment, you'll get it

  655. through for me. I know that.

  656. But it's still be too thin for to Too Close for me today.

  657. I'll have to go but you'll see me again.

  658. Yeah, I know I will Amen. Why I've developed

  659. relationships? You know, the word is relatable

  660. to anyone in any part of life, whether they accept God or not

  661. to the point that they will be drawn to you and all of a sudden

  662. if you're a great weight or they'll start asking you for

  663. Name by name, have you ever noticed when Trouble Comes, hey,

  664. can you pray and they don't even know God yet but because you've

  665. been able to serve them, you've waited on the Lord, you know,

  666. what's on the menu, may be able to serve them and that capacity

  667. all of a sudden they come running to you.

  668. They come asking for you. In fact they want to bless You

  669. because you've been such a blessing in their life.

  670. Hallelujah, but a waiter takes orders.

  671. Meaning, you tell them and they don't go.

  672. Don't tell me what to do. You get your own food?

  673. You know how many times I've been waiting on people.

  674. Waiting on people. We don't people, you know, you

  675. get your smart remarks and get a couple tips here.

  676. Give me some change are really, you know, you can go get it up

  677. to just get up on the table. Go find it yourself, right?

  678. No. They take orders and respond to

  679. your word. How much do more should we when

  680. we wait on the Lord? And the Lord says I'd like for

  681. you to Yes, Lord. Are you hearing me?

  682. But what do we do? Lord, we serving that today.

  683. No, no peace is on the menu today.

  684. Cheese's you don't know what they did to me.

  685. We are all out of Peace today. Now the Lord never runs out of

  686. peace is Everlasting. He never runs out of Joy.

  687. He never runs out what his fruit.

  688. Never runs out and it doesn't go old and you don't have to throw

  689. it away. The fruits of the spirit are

  690. fresh every day, they're fresh every morning.

  691. They're fresh and every opportunity they're always

  692. fresh. Always served fresh and man.

  693. They work and man. God's like, man, you just

  694. brought peace to my life. Yeah, I brought it from the King

  695. here, taste and see that the Lord is Is good.

  696. What you serving up day long suffering with you, bro?

  697. You don't even know. I got some long suffering on the

  698. plate. My king said.

  699. I want a serving of long-suffering with you today.

  700. Oh, What can I get a side order of Joy?

  701. Then just ask for a side order Joy, when God makes you go

  702. through the long-suffering plate, come on, just go ahead

  703. and bring joy out with it. And here, I'm serving alone

  704. suffering, they don't realize that.

  705. That's what they're eating and you're eating a plate of Joy on

  706. the, in the back. Hallelujah.

  707. What is this good? Let me go.

  708. Get him another plate. A long-suffering this is good.

  709. Mercy were serving today patients were serving today.

  710. Amen. And here's the thing as a waiter

  711. takes order. The waiter is to communicate the

  712. order precisely the way it received it in another location.

  713. Meaning when we wait on the loan, we coming to church here.

  714. And God begins to speak to us through his word, then you are

  715. supposed to go out to the world and speak to it as you received

  716. it. What you get you're supposed to,

  717. there's nothing more disheartening to give an order

  718. and it come back wrong. And you understand what the

  719. Lord's, given the order as you're waiting on him and you're

  720. the waiter. And he says here, take this

  721. order. What do you say concerning his

  722. order? My word shall not return unto me

  723. void, which means, when I tell you to go with it, when it comes

  724. back to me, it will not return unto me void.

  725. But it shall accomplish that which it was sent to do, which

  726. means, whatever I sent out. It's going to come back in that

  727. way. So God expects that whatever we

  728. take from him and we go out, when we come back to God in that

  729. situation, we should be responding as God told us to

  730. respond. If the Lord sent you away and

  731. say, man, you're blessed, don't worry about that bill.

  732. I got it taken care of your prosperous.

  733. You don't come back to him with a plate of grumbling and

  734. complaining. What's this right here is bad,

  735. it was worse than we thought, right?

  736. No no, you come back with. Here's a plate of prosperity.

  737. I know we have it, I got it in. Jesus name is this way, I'm

  738. giving it back to you. This is what you wanted, and

  739. this is what you hear from me. I'm okay.

  740. It's all good. I don't have to see it, but you

  741. said it and it's going to be this way.

  742. See when you do that, the Lord said.

  743. We'll come on and sit down this table.

  744. Then have a bite of what I'm eating then then you actually

  745. get to partake of that. You're believing for and now

  746. it's not even faith in you. You actually have it cause my

  747. word, what you sent from my hand, it shall not return unto

  748. me void, but it will accomplish that which it was sent to do.

  749. Hallelujah. When you eat the one, we wait on

  750. the Lord, take orders from him and we go out.

  751. It had come back to him the same way and we'll have what we say.

  752. Alright now here's the thing, a waiter does not serve once we

  753. don't watch out will preach a gospel that a person believes

  754. they only have to do one thing. One act of Service to the Lord,

  755. get on their knees. Pray, as she's coming the heart

  756. and save them, then the rest of the serving happens when they

  757. die and go to heaven. No, a great waiter or waitress

  758. does not come to the table once. The great ones.

  759. Never let you drink. Run draw.

  760. You never say, excuse me waiter. Those words should never come.

  761. If you're a great one, should always be there.

  762. And you know what God, you know, as good excuse me, Lord, can we

  763. have a conversation? The Lord's, like, I've always

  764. been here. I've been waiting on you when

  765. you should be waiting on me. Now, again as a waiter because

  766. multiple tables they'll go, you know, do you need some more

  767. time? The only reason they do that is

  768. because there's other people to wait on, but we're all the

  769. weight on one. The Lord, which means Lord, take

  770. your time. There's no other table in the

  771. place. I'll be here all day.

  772. Until I hear many of us walk off without receiving an order and

  773. you want to know why your life is empty because you didn't get

  774. nothing from God. You thought the world's table

  775. would serve you better when the reality is only one table in the

  776. restaurant is his And he's the only one we should be listening

  777. to. And when water starts coming

  778. man, we should wait on that table.

  779. We should not. It shouldn't be Christmas when I

  780. come to wait on God and then see you next year.

  781. It shouldn't be. Hey I'm gonna double up this

  782. year. I'm going to do Easter and

  783. Christmas and shallow guess what this year is going to be

  784. awesome. I have a New Year's resolution.

  785. I'm gonna come to church three times.

  786. I'm gonna do Easter Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  787. No, it should be Lord, I'm coming, man, I'm coming to your

  788. table. I'm coming to your table.

  789. I'm coming to your table. I'm come check it in.

  790. You need anything. Is there anything you need?

  791. Lord? Is there anything you need

  792. anything? You need?

  793. Lord, because my will doesn't matter.

  794. Your will matter anything you need.

  795. You need me to do anything. Need me to get anything for you.

  796. Need me to say anything for you. Need me to talk to anybody for

  797. you need me to pray for anybody. For you, me me me.

  798. Lay hands, on anybody for you, you need me to.

  799. Waiting on the Lord, just waiting on the Lord because

  800. great waiters. Don't just come once they keep

  801. coming, they keep coming. Here's the thing we're going to

  802. always be going to the Lord. For eternity, see a waiter.

  803. Stays attentive to the ones, they serve.

  804. How do you know if you're following?

  805. God is he always first on your mind?

  806. Is he the one that you're certain?

  807. When I say - and I like, I know God exists and he going to your

  808. life. I mean, he's constant ever.

  809. The thought. What do I need to do?

  810. What should I do, man? Let me just stop and do a check.

  811. We good today. Is there anything I missed?

  812. I mean I found myself just going through life and I'm realizing

  813. wait a minute Lord. I need check back in with you

  814. today. Maybe you'll find yourself

  815. getting this some frustrating moments.

  816. Moments you say, you know, I might have to go to the table

  817. real quick. I need to go wait on the Lord

  818. because what I'm serving right now is not God.

  819. Let me go back to the table and hear what he needs me to have

  820. and how I need to respond. And then you need to understand

  821. this great point. And it true with all of us.

  822. The more you invest in the mill, the more you expect from the

  823. service. Now, we got some local

  824. restaurants here, that I love them back.

  825. There's one down where I live, just passed.

  826. Marineland, if you go towards the hammock as place called,

  827. JT's Seafood, Shack, and it's all that it's a shack, right?

  828. Little hole in the wall type place right, man, but they

  829. gossip. Hey, got a great shrimp and

  830. grits, man, it's awesome. I love it, I love it.

  831. My wife and I will pop down there, you know, it's a little

  832. place, a little dive, you know. And you know, the That wears

  833. t-shirts, think that maybe wear jean shorts or jeans, you know?

  834. I mean, they're real casual, right?

  835. So you know, if they're not popping in hitting, just write

  836. that day, I get it. I expect them to do their job

  837. because their weight or, you know, I have an expectation.

  838. But, you know, I realize that, you know, you drop about $12 a

  839. place, not a big deal. if I go over to Ruth's Chris, that's a

  840. whole nother ball game. I'm dropping 50 dollars for a

  841. steak. Don't do it often, but I've done

  842. it. I've done it.

  843. Place 500 Degrees. That's what they are.

  844. So, don't touch him when they come out.

  845. All right, and man, that staff, when they come and drop off the

  846. bread and we eat on it, they'll come by with this little brush

  847. and they'll scrape the crumbs off the black table called.

  848. I'm like, what? JTA, never scraped.

  849. One Crumb from a hushpuppy. They wait till you get up and

  850. leave. Did they wipe the whole table,

  851. right? I didn't care about that, but I

  852. understand. But man, when you drop and they

  853. are I mean they want to give you a manicure almost while you do.

  854. I'll give you a manicure while waiting on him.

  855. I'm like bro. No, they don't do that there.

  856. I'm just saying when you're paying for something.

  857. Right. That's Irving.

  858. Think about now the more you drop in a restaurant experience,

  859. the more you expect, you don't get my order wrong.

  860. I should not have to call you. Maybe I'm dropping a hundred

  861. dollars just for my meal and I have to ask where you at.

  862. This is a problem. Right?

  863. You don't come in where and you know cutoff shorts there.

  864. I mean you're dressing up a little different.

  865. There's another one called the Atlantic Grill down at the

  866. hammock. You can't go in with a hat on

  867. their golfers are coming in that place but you don't come on em

  868. with a hat. They got some good food.

  869. Now it's not like Ruth's Chris as far as that and then other

  870. places I've been, you know, beyond that you know where they

  871. said it out and you're like, Lord, Jesus help me know which

  872. Fork to pick up right now. So I don't look like, I don't

  873. know what I'm doing. It's this one, right?

  874. I mean you got to study those things.

  875. There's there's there's utensils ago, our rights while we teach

  876. our what we gonna teach our Washington etiquette class so

  877. that they'll know when they get before.

  878. President one day or prime minister, they'll know how to

  879. eat properly. When I'm we just real folk

  880. around here. Do you need to get really

  881. understanding of what company you're in and if you're around

  882. real folk like that, then eat that way.

  883. You know, Paul said I'm all things to all people.

  884. Which means if he got in a crowd of dignitaries, he didn't act

  885. like he was from the swamp. All right, because Jesus didn't

  886. you homeboy? He'll ask you to come to a

  887. wedding if you don't dress appropriately, he'll kick you

  888. out right now that we've settled that So, let me ask this

  889. question in closing. if we all agree that the more we spend on

  890. that Mill, the more we expect from our servant, our service,

  891. our, our waiter How much did Jesus pay for you?

  892. What was the price tag for you? The Bible says that he purchased

  893. you, not with perishable things like silver and gold, but with

  894. the precious blood of Jesus of currency that the world did not

  895. possess, you could not have gotten enough, gold, silver, or

  896. any other precious metal Stone. Any type of currency to be at a

  897. pay your debt to God for your Transgression.

  898. But it took Holy Blood from God himself.

  899. And he shed that blood to purchase you.

  900. So you could come and be at his table.

  901. What do you think his expectation of your service to

  902. him? Should be I think that

  903. syrophoenician woman, knew something about serving like

  904. Ruth's Chris when she said the master, even the dogs eat the

  905. crumbs that fall from their master's table Because crime

  906. should be on your table servants.

  907. You're the ones who wait on, you should get that off.

  908. I'm telling you. Today, we need to be Kingdom

  909. servers and realize we serve a true and living King at is Alive

  910. forevermore seated at the right hand of our father and our

  911. service to him should be without wavering.

  912. Because I'm going to tell you right now, what's so awesome

  913. about are serving to God? Is that if you showed up at his

  914. table and he realized son, you look tired today.

  915. Hello, Lord. I'm out doing your work.

  916. I'm going to refresh you. He can give you a quickening in

  917. your body. He can refresh.

  918. You the keep you moving. He can give you a word that

  919. causes your spirit man to come alive and be refreshed a lot of

  920. times. The reason why we quit following

  921. God passionately is because we start to listen to our bodies,

  922. listen to our circumstances. Stan's, listen to things and we

  923. forget but he paid a real big price for me to wait on him and

  924. he has real big expectations that you'll be able to do the

  925. job. Well because really you're a

  926. reflection of who he is. So let's serving with our whole

  927. heart, everything we do, there's a work to do a tanker Faith

  928. Church if you're called here. And you're already a vision

  929. partner here, you should be passionate about Man, I can't

  930. wait to usher tonight. Oh, I'm going to serve my king

  931. tonight. He should be jacked about being

  932. out in the parking lot. Love being with those impetus.

  933. I don't care how crazy they cried today, I'm gonna have a

  934. great plate of patients tonight and long-suffering.

  935. And we gonna dime with the Lord, and I'm going to speak into

  936. their Spirit man's tonight because I'm excited.

  937. Not only will I serve them Jesus, but then my Lord will

  938. repay me for tonight's work. He'll do it.

  939. Then when you're out in the highways and the byways and you

  940. are giving people an expression of God, you serve him

  941. diligently. Don't bring them a plate.

  942. That doesn't come from the throne room.

  943. Well, they're not listening, they don't want it doesn't

  944. matter. You just keep serving it.

  945. Eventually, they'll realize how great your plate.

  946. Smells They're going to want to want what you're serving.

  947. Just stay at it. That's why Saturday, when we go

  948. out at the football game, we're gonna go cause we've been

  949. waiting on the Lord, when I say weighty, don't show up Saturday

  950. because you woke up, not the Swiss sleep out of your eyes

  951. through on your outfit and ran over there real quick, and we'll

  952. so ha has so much do I'm here now.

  953. You're not ready for them. Get up early, Sandile, or you're

  954. sending me to a community. There's people you want me to

  955. love on. There's kids you want me to love

  956. on. They've opened up to allow us to

  957. be there and I don't want to squander one bit.

  958. We're open for business today and I'm gonna go serving and you

  959. pray before you get up or when you get up, you pray in your

  960. out. There you begin to prepare

  961. yourself because it may be that you're in the concession and

  962. they say, I'll take a hot dog and you get too hot and already

  963. and all the Lord says listen. Give them something besides

  964. that. Hot dog.

  965. Go ahead and pray for them because their knees hurting

  966. right now is your knee. Hurting.

  967. Yes, it is. How did you know?

  968. The Lord told me that? Can I pray for you?

  969. And I was just coming to get a hot dog.

  970. You got hot dog in a healing today.

  971. The more passionate you serve the king, the more they'll say

  972. can I have someone? So And moms and dads.

  973. And Little Athletes around say man.

  974. I can't wait till Devin comes next, Saturday, I want to see

  975. him. I hope he's at the game.

  976. Because he cheers Me on. He tells me, I'm a champion.

  977. He helps me out. He shows him Jesus.

  978. That's what we do. There's no way getting around it

  979. because waiting is work. But it pays the best because the

  980. king is going to pay you for your service, a van.
