Thanks for checking out the anchor Faith, Message podcast
-
from st. Augustine Florida.
-
Now enjoyed this message, but we need to talk a little bit more
-
about praise because praise today isn't, there's just not a
-
lot of great praise out there. Just going to say it like that.
-
All right, and we're going to talk about that today because
-
again we coin something called praise and worship, right?
-
And so obviously mentally in the church, you know, across the
-
board praises, the fast songs worship is the slow songs.
-
Well, worship has to do with bending your knee.
-
Remember the in Luke and in Matthew's gospel, when Jesus was
-
tempted of the devil, in the wilderness, he said, showed him
-
all the kingdoms in a moment of Tommy said, now I'll give you
-
all this domain. If you'll just Bow Down and
-
Worship me, was he asking Jesus to sing him?
-
Slow songs. No.
-
So what he was asking him was to bow down and obey his word.
-
So Worship in the truest sense is obeying God at his word
-
that's worship. It has nothing to do with the
-
song. Now you can see and be
-
worshipping him. Meaning if he's saying seeing
-
this or praise me, And you don't then you're not worshipping him,
-
because you're not obeying, what he asks you to do?
-
Are you hear me when he talks about?
-
And we're not going to talk about this tonight, but he talks
-
about holy hands, lifted High. Well, we should be able to raise
-
our hands up. Amen.
-
We should be able to do this. If we cannot do this, then we
-
maybe are struggling in worshipping him.
-
Well, I don't have to raise my hand to work.
-
He said holding hands, lifted hot.
-
So are you telling everybody that you're not?
-
Holy, that's why you can't lift them just like we talked about
-
last week that death doesn't, praise God.
-
There is no praise and death. So when we start coming together
-
and singing with our musical, instruments is outlined in a lot
-
of Psalms, you know, if we find ourselves looking like this Then
-
what we're telling the rest of the congregation and they just
-
consider me dead. Because we should praise him all
-
the time. I mean, surely, there's
-
something he's done for you. That would get you to open your
-
mouth. Right?
-
Well, I don't sing well, we know there's a provision for you,
-
right? Because that Provisions For Me,
-
Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord he didn't say.
-
Had to be on key, he didn't say it had to be perfect, right?
-
And here's the cool thing, we turn up the volume enough that
-
it can sometimes require ear plugs.
-
Which means we really don't hear your bad voice anyway.
-
So just scream away. Right.
-
Just scream away. All right you're not going to
-
distract anyone. I mean if you're really that bad
-
and it's like I mean we can hear it, I'll turn it up more We'll
-
just turn up a little bit more. I mean, because we saw that this
-
word praise means to be exuberant, right?
-
And it also carries this thought of going mad or insane.
-
So you understand why, you know, David?
-
When he was confronted by one of his wives that said to him, I
-
can't believe you acted like that when you were dancing
-
before the Lord, you know, he's dancing before the Ark of the
-
Covenant and worshipping and praying are praising the Lord
-
When he was dancing before the Lord, because he was praising
-
him and and she's like, you know, you embarrass yourself.
-
He said, I get an even more undignified in that.
-
Amen. Because again, sometimes, you
-
know, we think because I've been in denominational churches, I
-
was raising the denominational Church, you know?
-
And you kind of just set up grab the him, you know, when you sing
-
like this and then we would even like seeing sitting down.
-
You know I'm saying, like, you've stay in the seat During
-
certain songs, you know? And, and they'd be the first
-
second, third stanza or A first second fourth stanza, typically
-
is what you were going to sing and you know you could do it in
-
a seated position. Now again, I'm not saying that
-
those people, there are people who genuinely love God, you're
-
going to, you are going to praise Him based upon your
-
revelation. Okay, I'll give you a case in
-
point. Jesus goes to a man's house.
-
He's a religious guy, studier of the law.
-
Goes to his house the guys. Like invited him.
-
Come on in. We have you something to eat,
-
right? Jesus sits down with his
-
disciples, you know, the guys like, you know, Jesus in my
-
house, you know, this guy's been working miracles, trying to
-
figure out who this guy is, you know, he says some stuff, I
-
don't agree with but we're going to find out then all of a sudden
-
a woman bus through right woman bus through and she's like
-
crying all over him, you know, and wiping his feet.
-
And this religious, guys, like will manifest do was a prophet.
-
He know what kind of woman is like touching him right now.
-
I can't believe this is happening.
-
And then Jesus says, let me ask you this question while she's
-
cleaning this feet. She says, you know, if a guy had
-
a $100, I'm paraphrasing. Now you can look this up for
-
yourself, paraphrasing old $100 of somebody, but somebody owed a
-
million and they were forgiven by the debtor.
-
Who do you think would love that?
-
You know, the person who forgave he goes and the religious guy,
-
he's pretty quick, he was smart. He said I would suspect the one
-
who was forgiven more and he says you are correct this woman.
-
Who just came into this house. Although her sins are many, but
-
she has done more because you didn't even offer to wipe my
-
feet off. So again, people can be in a
-
position singing or praising. The Lord based upon a knowledge,
-
but when you really start reading the Bible and understand
-
all that God has done for you, I and that that spaz is always
-
messed me up because it did I really didn't like it honestly
-
because I was raised in church. So, you know, if you compare
-
tively looked at my life in sin, I mean I pale in comparison to
-
some somebody, some people's testimonies of sitting in this
-
room right now. I mean, it's like, As a master,
-
it's in. I mean, I I just checked all the
-
boxes, right? I ran hard in it.
-
Okay, I didn't run hard in it, you know, if you compare lives,
-
you wouldn't think I was a bad person, but I'll never forget.
-
The Lord said he said, Son, don't you know?
-
Disobeying, your parents just one time is enough for me to
-
eternally, separate you from me. So, son, everybody's desk the
-
same. Then I realized just that one
-
thing had Eternal damnation associated with it, and I sure
-
did disobey my parents that happened.
-
So I was like the worst. I said, I was like the worst.
-
I may not have done all this in that other things have done
-
based upon, you know, things that are wrong, but I've done
-
enough, I had done enough. So at the end of the day, I am
-
that individual, right? And when you think that you've
-
not really been forgiven of much, so, you know, God, you
-
kind of owe me. I'm not, I really, I mean, it
-
didn't take much for me to get him with you.
-
Well, those types of people don't really praise.
-
But you get around somebody that knows what they what the price
-
is, and I'm saying, you just may have disobeyed your parents, but
-
you realize the price, I mean, you're going to raise your
-
hands. You're going to shout, you're
-
going to run in front is necessary.
-
You're going to dance if dancing is necessary.
-
You can but I don't give a rip what you think about me.
-
I'm praising my Lord, he saved me from hell but not only, did
-
he save me from hell and eternal prison system of the kingdom of
-
God. He made me a son and then he put
-
his spirit in me. And you mean I'm not gonna I
-
mean I'm not going to Always smell.
-
I'm not gonna have a shout of Praise.
-
When I have the third person of the godhead on the inside of me,
-
did he gives me victory over all my circumstances?
-
I mean, seriously, I can't shout praise or something, I can't.
-
I mean, I've got a constant flow of, wow, look at God, and look
-
what he's doing in my life. I mean, it gets pretty easy
-
zubrin. We over here in the u.s.a., man,
-
you know, we've created churches that are so, you know, dead and
-
it's expression like we're digging.
-
Defied your not dignified. It's called laziness because
-
I've been in other countries man.
-
They'll dance. The roof tops off.
-
I mean, it's lioness the myth I'm not even told my women.
-
I'm talking about the men I mean most men in churches.
-
Are are the ones? Well, honey, you sing.
-
I mean, that's what you do. Why don't you lead, man?
-
Don't you just lead and praise and get up there and see, won't
-
you come to the front show your wife?
-
I'm not gonna stay here. I gotta go up here and serve my
-
king. I'm going to just go worship him
-
a little bit. Hallelujah.
-
Okay. The Lord's.
-
Good acts chapter 16. So we just full of it, right?
Acts 16 chapter mention
-
We full of praise. Right, were full of joy with on
-
my that on Sunday, are you? Or are you happy?
-
Just say, haha, does it not matter?
-
What's going on, you got the victory.
-
Amen. This is what overcomes the
-
world. Our faith and God's word works.
-
Okay? His word works but you need to
-
know his word. If you don't know his word, then
-
it's not going to work. What you think, you know about
-
the word doesn't work. What works is the word?
-
Alright. Alright.
-
So Acts chapter 16. We started with this verse
Acts 16 chapter mention
-
actually was verse 25. We started with last week but I
-
want to kind of set context a little bit so that we can dig a
-
little bit more about praise. Amen.
-
Alright says the crowd rose up together against them and the
-
chief magistrate tore their robes off them and proceeded to
-
order them to be beaten with rods.
-
This is a great opportunity here, right.
-
And when they had struck them with many blows.
-
Threw them into prison commanding the Jailer to guard
-
them securely and he having received such a command through
-
them through them into the inner prison.
-
Not not, you know, not only a house here.
-
We going to get him. We'll get it.
-
Wears very difficult for. You're not getting out, right?
-
The inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks but
-
about midnight. So who's been beaten with rods,
-
Paul, and Silas? Paul and Silas were what
-
praising? We are praying and singing.
-
Hymns of praise to God. And the prisoners were what
-
listening to them verse 26. And suddenly there came a great
-
earthquake. So that the foundations of the
-
prison house were shaken and immediately.
-
All the doors were open and everyone's chains were unfasten.
-
When the Jailer awoke and saw the prison doors open, he drew
-
his sword and was about to kill himself, right?
-
Supposing that the prisoners had escaped, but Paul cried out with
-
a loud voice saying do not harm yourself for.
-
We are all here and let me ask this question.
-
What kind of Praise will cause the sinner to remain with the
-
voice of the saved. Instead of fleeing with the
-
opportunity to go their own way presents itself.
-
I'll say that again. What kind of Praise will cause
-
The Sinner. Now we know why Paul and Silas
-
are in there. They're in there because they
-
cast The Devil out of a girl. Because she was making money for
-
some guys, and they've realized the money dried up.
-
And he's got some power and it upset him so much that he got
-
the whole city upset about it. Are you hearing me?
-
So this is why they are in jail because they cast a demon out.
-
Why do you think the rest of them are in prison?
-
For crimes. So we're not talking like he's
-
came in on a Bible study. Right.
-
That this is like China. They caught a church and Paul
-
just happened to show up with the rest of the congregation.
-
So, he's in prison with people who belong there.
-
For crimes that have been committed that deserve them to
-
be there yet. These boys get praising in such
-
a way that when the earthquake hits and all of the doors open.
-
And the chains fall awful. They don't run to
-
self-preservation. But anyway, for the next word,
-
coming out of Paul and Silas his mouth, could you learn to praise
-
God in a way that even The Sinner wouldn't want to try to
-
find a way out? Let me just tell you this.
-
There ain't a lot of that praise going on.
-
Because there's a lot of Sinners showing up at church and leaving
-
church the same. The showing up at church and lit
-
and and leaving the same. Leaving the same.
-
So there had to be something going on in their praise.
-
How would you like how many would like to know what they
-
were singing? Because scholars believe they
-
know what they were singing. Now, my wife and I had the
-
privilege to go to Israel and when we were going to Israel, I
-
remember on one particular day is probably the Sabbath, but it
-
may not have been. I mean, you know, it's a kind of
-
a whirlwind, you go so many places and see so many things,
-
but I remember we were in one particular hotel and in this
-
room, it was obviously they were religious Jewish people and they
-
were all in there with the Torah.
-
And they were reciting. They were reciting scripture.
-
So, you know, for the majority of the nation of Israel are
-
Jewish people, they are taught at a very young age to know very
-
specific scriptures and they have to memorize it, it's they
-
got it. I mean, it's they can pull up.
-
See, they don't need the that Bible or that law in front of
-
their eyes to know it. They know it will.
-
Do we know the word like that? If your Bible was gone, could
-
you still quote stuff? Now, when I say that I can't.
-
Okay, so I'm not trying to act like I'm a, you know quoter.
-
I know a few people who are, but I'm just saying that just gives
-
the attention traditionally, and they still do that today, where
-
they've got that thing down there saying it, they're saying
-
it there, it's in them, it's in their mind, they can pull that
-
thing up. Well, there's a couple of
-
Scholars by the name of Jameson faucet and then Ew Bollinger.
-
They believe that this is the same him or if the collection of
-
hymns that Jesus saying with the disciples in Matthew 26, the
-
Jesus saying some with his disciples and go over there.
-
Matthew 26. I think it's verse 30 said they
-
sing some hymns before you know, they went on to pass over and so
-
they believe what? Paul and Silas was singing was
-
Psalms 113. Is what they consider the.
-
Hallelujah songs. Psalms 113 to Psalms 118.
-
So I didn't give you these scriptures because I was going
-
to just read them. So let's pull up songs 113 and
-
we're just going to go how many you want to hear what they're
-
saying. Right?
-
Because it's important. It's not it it's it's not enough
-
to sing a song. Singing a song doesn't mean
-
you're praising. Because not every song.
-
Sung Praises God, even if it's using his name.
-
In fact, I would submit to you that the majority of the popular
-
stuff that is being played today.
-
The church has fallen back into how it was in the world.
-
And, you know, when you were in the world, we used to tell our
-
parents, I sure told my mama mama.
-
I don't listen to the words. It's the beat that I like.
-
Come on, having to use that. Oh yeah, I'm not listening.
-
But yet, you know, if that song came on the radio today, you
-
would quote that bad boy. You would be singing it.
-
I mean, I could just start some stuff and many of you could just
-
jump right in with me. Jump, write it.
-
You know what? I'm gonna be honest with you.
-
This is true statement. Most popular songs that are sung
-
today. As many times as I've sung them,
-
they still don't stay with me. In fact, I had no a very few
-
today songs that I can remember that.
-
When I start singing I always go further back.
-
Because the content of those. Where they're rooted in.
-
I'ma hit some sacred cows tonight.
-
So you know, That's okay, right because you understand if you
-
come to church so that you can just continue to stay with your
-
agreement level, well, then you're not actually in his
-
church because if you're in Jesus church, the one that he
-
is, you know, building then he's going to constantly have a flow
-
of growth, which is going to challenge what you think, you
-
know, right. And I thank God he challenges
-
what? I think.
-
I know I was cutting grass today.
-
I get some great sir. Is cotton grass today.
-
Yeah, I got a title of a book to unlock the power of God's love.
-
Yeah, it's amazing because I know the content.
-
But that's probably how we got to say it, right.
-
And then I got another thing too, but I'm not going to tell
-
you I'll preach it to you later. Amen.
-
Come on. You hear what I'm saying?
-
So let's see what he was saying, songs 113.
-
Go ahead and put it up. We're gonna do the whole
-
chapter, right? So I'll just go that.
-
So there this is their song. This is what they're saying
-
after they've been beaten. Thrown in jail, just for
-
performing a miracle by the spirit.
-
All right, they said praise the Lord, Praise all Servants of the
-
Lord. Praise the name of the Lord
-
blessed. Be the name of the Lord from
-
this time forth and forever from the rising of the sun to its
-
setting. The name of the Lord is to be
-
praised. I think we kind of heard that
-
line tonight. Okay, but not every line in that
-
song. Did we keep?
-
Because if you actually go find that song, our sounds different
-
because I changed it because not every line praised him.
-
Some lines brought doubt. Okay.
-
From the rising of the sun to its setting.
-
The name of the Lord is to be praised and the Lord has High
-
Above All Nations. His glory is above the heavens,
-
who is like The God, Who is the Lord, Our God, who is enthroned
-
on high, who humbles himself to behold the things that are in
-
heaven and in the earth. Now this and even sound like a
-
song, does it? I mean, the way we write songs a
-
day, we got to have the rhyming words, you got to have the
-
little pattern going. It's amazing how the psalmist
-
here is like forget that I'm just going this saw Miss wrote
-
what came up by the spirit. Wasn't there to try to get a
-
record deal. One trying to get a bunch of
-
followers. Oh, y'all don't want to hear
-
this one. Trying to get on a platform so
-
everybody can see them. But just came with what came by
-
the spirit and he came by the spirit so much that when God
-
decides. Okay.
-
When I'm putting this whole thing together so that from
-
Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:20, one that I want to clearly show
-
that the Bible is about a king, his kingdom, in his Royal
-
Offspring, I'm going to include this song that I want my people
-
to say, so that when Trouble Comes, they can pull it up.
-
I have no idea what this tune sounds like, you know what, I
-
love about the Psalms actually, and why I love that God publish
-
all of these songs without musical charts is because we
-
could actually make it any music we need to for Any Nation.
-
And it transcends time. All right, he raises the poor
-
from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash Heap to to
-
make them sit with prince's prince's man in this awesome
-
with the princes of his people he makes the bear more woman
-
abide in the house as a joyful mother of children.
-
Praise the Lord, man. In that great.
-
They're singing this, this is what they say.
-
But then they go on to the next one 114 and it says Us, when
-
Israel went forth from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people
-
of strange language Judah, which means praise became his
-
Sanctuary Israel. His Dominion, the sea looked and
-
fled, the Jordan turned back. That's The Parting of the Red
-
Sea sees recounting, he's going back, the psalmist.
-
And this is what Paul and Silas are doing.
-
They're saying, we're praising the Lord, because look what he's
-
done. Now, let's talk about these
-
exploits would just in our generation because I'm not gonna
-
sit here and cry. About that.
-
I got beat. I'm not going to see her cry
-
about woe is me. I'm not gonna cry about how bad
-
my situation is, but I hope God, you'll do something.
-
No, I'm going to put you in remembrance of what you already
-
did, because what he doing, he's changing his thinking from how I
-
feel right now and the circumstance.
-
Let's just go ahead and let's magnify the Lord.
-
I mean, because honestly, the audacity for me to give a
-
praise, like, you don't know what I'm in right now.
-
Not that you can't say, Lord you see what's happening because
-
there are songs that communicate that I have no problem with
-
that. But if you actually re specially
-
David's Psalms even in his Agony songs, even when he's singing
-
songs about, look what they're doing, look how they're coming,
-
but he always turns it to. But you you're this you're going
-
to do that and it's going to happen.
-
You're gonna turn it for my he never stays in his moment but
-
yeah, half the stuff. If we don't watch out especially
-
in our praise life, meaning when we're out and about we're not
-
praise him say Well praise the Lord he's gonna turn this around
-
so that all you know lose my job we just we're gonna lose her
-
job. I mean we take every piece of
-
information And instead of turning to the praise of God, we
-
begin to communicate our situation.
-
Are you hearing me? Okay.
-
All right. The sea looked and fled, the
-
Jordan turned back. The mount skip like, Rams, the
-
hills, like Lambs. What eles uoc that?
-
You flee. My mom, right?
-
Oh, Jordan, that you turn back a mountain that skip, like Rams,
-
like the Lambs, terrible or Earth before the Lord Trimble
-
Earth before the Lord. Before the god of Jacob who
-
turned the rock into a pool of water, the Flint into a fountain
-
of water. Now, I love that last line
-
because Paul and Silas are remembering when something
-
shouldn't even be happening in this situation.
-
Look what God did. I mean, God turned our a rock
-
into a pool of water. The Flint into a fountain of
-
water. I mean, we remember when we
-
didn't have any water and air are thirsty, but God just calls
-
the fountain to fly out. So it doesn't matter.
-
I'm chained today. The matter.
-
I've been beat the matter how impossible this looks God's got
-
a fly. I mean, they're tied into a
-
praise of God's ability. Not in their situation.
-
Let's go to the next one songs. 115 says, is not to us.
-
Oh, Lord, not to us but to your name give Glory because of your
-
loving kindness because the truth you know that you know,
-
half the psalmist today that are popular.
-
That ain't true. because they now, Whatever Church featuring.
-
All are featuring. Featuring.
-
Then they come out with their own albums.
-
So, who, who is this, who we doing this for?
-
Now, it can sound like that, I'm against anyone that's in this
-
most people get caught up and they don't even realize what
-
they're doing, okay? At the end of the day, I get it
-
and some are doing it with this Pure Heart.
-
Some probably are with a pure heart that they know based upon
-
what they know. I'm not finding fault with that.
-
That's not me to judge that. I'm just saying, Paul, we're
-
staying with scripture, you understand what I'm saying, and
-
when you stay with scripture, you realize that there is a way
-
that you're moving around. That looks a lot different.
-
Then what we currently are witnessing.
-
I remember one particular Minister I mentioned named
-
William McDowell he what was that one song?
-
He wrote Give Myself Away right? Give myself away real popular
-
right saying this I remember going to a little conference
-
that he had and he made this statement.
-
He said you know I really kind of regret.
-
I became famous He said because then I will go to churches. and
-
if I didn't sing the songs that they heard on the albums, They'd
-
be disappointed, even though I thought the Spear of the Lord,
-
all he wanted me to stay on two or three lines.
-
Which means in the church has turned into a concert and
-
entertainment. And we're calling it, praise.
-
And I'm just speaking direct quote from a signed artist that
-
said this I wouldn't sing anymore when I was invited.
-
I would just minister Because they're wanting to take it in a
-
direction that I knew God didn't want to and then they were upset
-
at me, well, where's the love hat?
-
I mean, we do we want God, or do we want a concert?
-
And most of them are like this anyway.
-
Now, don't get me wrong Clapton's, fine says, Clap the
-
your hand, you know, all you people, there's no problem with
-
clapping special you know when we're doing certain songs and
-
stay with rhythm I mean it's an instrument you can use but to
-
have a song sing and then we stopped back and we applauded
-
You're at a concert because we're not supposed to.
-
I mean we are not going to go to heaven and go Jesus.
-
Wow, you're not going to plunge Jesus.
-
Let me tell you what you're gonna do when you see him.
-
There ain't gonna be no man-made Accolade, you know, make you
-
feel better about yourself and most of the praise and worship
-
times that are happening. Most churches, that's what it's
-
like, they're not even there, not even singing fact.
-
Pastor Market was telling me about his father who had went to
-
a church and it'll very large congregate, very large
-
congregation. It's his dad experience that
-
they no one saying. While the band was playing. but
-
the men of the song was over, everyone clapped And they
-
consider that praise and they don't even know what they're
-
missing out on. But again, when we become
-
spiritually, illiterate meaning, we don't read the Bible.
-
Well, then we'll adopt anything. Someone is saying, is something
-
that's why I've said for years, do not believe anything that I
-
say, because I say it, you should search the scripture for
-
yourself to find that. It's so at the end of the day, I
-
have no problem if someone can literally, show me in scripture,
-
something I'm saying that's not correct.
-
No problem. I'll change because I don't have
-
a personal opinion about the matter but I very rarely come up
-
here with two scriptures, email story and you know some life
-
lesson and that's how we end this deal.
-
We're like line upon line precept, upon precept.
-
You know, we're going to read a few songs tonight.
-
Because I love the word, it's the word.
-
It changes our life, okay? Not us.
-
Oh Lord, not to us but to your name, give Glory because of your
-
loving kindness because of your truth.
-
Why should the nation say we're now is their God but our God is
-
in the heavens, he does whatever, he pleases that,
-
that's a loaded statement that needs explaining but I'm not
-
going to do it tonight. Their Idols are silver and gold
-
and the work of man's hands. They have mouths, but they
-
cannot speak. Okay, Lord, I'll do it.
-
Go back. He does whatever he pleases.
-
That doesn't mean God, does whatever he wants.
-
Number one, where in the Bible does it talk about what?
-
Pleases the Lord can he might tell me?
-
Hebrews 11:1 6 without faith. It's impossible to please God.
-
Does God have faith? Where do we know that Mark
Mark 11 chapter mention
-
chapter 11, right? When Jesus telling them about
-
the Fig Tree? He said have faith in God
-
literal translation, have the god-kind of Faith, right?
-
So God has Faith, how do we know?
-
God has Faith. He believes his own word.
-
What is faith? Faith is a firm persuasion of a
-
word spoken. Now, that's just general because
-
that can even be ungodly. Faith is firmly persuaded of a
-
word spoken. That's why.
-
Romans 10 qualifies our faith, faith comes by hearing faith
-
comes by hearing period. You can listen to CNN, Fox News,
-
political people, a doctor and produce faith.
-
I heard I have cancer. I'm going to die in six months.
-
Firmly be persuaded in 6 months tops.
-
That's Faith. But wants to wants.
-
What's Paul doing Roma's? The Holy Ghost says now you let
-
them know. Faith comes by hearing right.
-
Faith comes by hearing but Hearing in the word of God.
-
So you're hearing is to come from the word of God.
-
So faith comes to you cause you heard the word not because
-
you're hearing what's going on out here.
-
So where does our faith arrived from God?
-
His word? Well to please, God we are to
-
believe him at his word. Be in faith.
-
God? God.
-
Then, if he does whatever, he pleases, he's only doing what
-
creates Faith which in turn then produces because God's faith
-
always comes to pass. He said, I sent my word, right?
-
He says it, it will not return unto me void, but it shall want
-
accomplish that, which I sent it to do, so, whatever he pleases
-
is. He's very calculated and what he
-
says, God just doesn't do something because this line
-
here, makes people think, well God, do whatever he wants.
-
Well, if that's true, then why didn't he come down when Adam,
-
ate the fruit and say son, Let's just forget about it.
-
Because you do whatever. You please.
-
I'm seriously it would save a lot of problems, wasn't it?
-
I mean, it's to get this logically thought about before
-
we take a wrong are thought Well, he can do whatever he
-
pleases. That's what the psalmist says.
-
Well then he could have came down and says, Adam.
-
Didn't I tell you to eat fruit, you'll die.
-
You know what? I really don't want you to die.
-
So let's act like it. Don't happen.
-
We'll just forget about it. Let me kick this little devil
-
out because I already did this in heaven.
-
You obviously didn't do it down here.
-
You really don't get his Dominion.
-
You gotta go, is that what happened?
-
Why did it happen? Cuz he's bound to his word.
-
So the minute God spoke let us make man in our image, according
-
to our likeness and let him have the mini heat, literally gave
-
him the power of an Earthly rule.
-
That only Adam now can give away or keep.
-
So when he gave it to the Devil, by eating, the fruit by obeying
-
his word, Then God comes down and says, now you got what I
-
said you get? Which is you die, the minute you
-
eat. And the only way I can get
-
Redemption is I got to send another man.
-
Because I've given to mean a man.
-
So it now requires a man to take it back.
-
Now I'm going to put my seat in the woman so I can get a man in
-
the earth which actually be me the word in the flesh.
-
So he can destroy the works of the devil who now has the
-
Dominion. so he can't do whatever he pleases but he does
-
whatever his word says, But we read these statements and we say
-
it all the time, what God can do, whatever he wants to do.
-
God does not do whatever he wants to do.
-
God is very calculating what he says.
-
Because the mainly says it, Even he's Bound by.
-
Now that sounds tough, doesn't it people like no way?
-
See, because we don't understand real power.
-
We think power in natural terms. Well, power means, you know, I
-
can bully myself. I can just eliminate you.
-
What? God, just destroy God, can't say
-
something, and just destroy you, because he wants to, because
-
he's powerful. Because now he's not Justice and
-
since he's not Justice then he can't be God.
-
He's like the devil. Okay.
-
And we getting too deep here, I mean, I don't think we are but
-
maybe we are. Because a lot of times, we just
-
don't think these levels we make statements and we single this is
-
the problem. We sing them.
-
And they're not even scriptural, which means then even though
-
those words are two songs, they are not praised.
-
They're not praise because God's not listening to things that do
-
not actually come from his Source.
-
I'll show you here in a second. All right, let's go on verse 5,
-
they have bowels but they cannot speak.
-
These are all these other Idols, right?
-
So, what's Paul and them doing their just recounting, you know,
-
at the end of the day, our God, the only God, they have eyes.
-
That can I see? They have ears that can I hear,
-
they have knows, they can, I smell?
-
They have hands. They cannot feel they have feet.
-
They cannot walk. They cannot make a sound with
-
their throat. Those who make them will become
-
like them, everyone who trust in them.
-
O Israel trust in the Lord. He is their help and their
-
Shield Ohio's of Aaron trust in the Lord.
-
What are they doing? They're singing a praise.
-
They're saying listen, even though we're in this situation,
-
it looks like maybe God abandoned us but obviously, all
-
the other gods are the real false ones.
-
Let's just put ourselves in perspective here because even
-
though I'm in a challenging situation, for doing some for
-
the game, you're like, well I just only done something for
-
you. I helped liberate someone who
-
was demon possessed. And instead of at like you
-
failed me and now I got trouble because of only did your work.
-
I mean, how many Believers have we said done this?
-
I'm just going to church just doing it all of a sudden he'll
-
like, everything went went terrible.
-
Well, I mean there's an enemy out there that don't want you to
-
tap into your power. He wants to take your mouth
-
Paul's like, you're not gonna take my mouth, right?
-
I said, I'm gonna trust in the Lord.
-
He is their help. Their Shield who you, who
-
Revere, or fear the Lord. Trust in the Lord.
-
He is their help and their Shield.
-
The Lord has been mindful of us. He will bless us sees like he
-
ain't forgot us. We down here shock.
-
He's all we got it. We will be blessed.
-
We, he will bless the house of Israel.
-
He will bless the house of are he will bless those who Revere
-
or fear the lord. The small together with the
-
great may, the Lord, give you increase, you and your children,
-
may, you be blessed of the Lord maker of heaven and Earth.
-
Here We Go. The heavens are the heavens of
-
the Lord, but the Earth he has given to the sons of man, you've
-
given us that Dominion back. Lord, we're going to overcome
-
conquer the dead, do not praise. The Lord nor do any, who go down
-
into silence. But as for us, we will bless the
-
Lord for this time forth forever, praise the Lord 116.
-
Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, all the
-
nation's law on him, this is 117.
-
Got 116. Was that 116?
-
I just read Put 116 up there. I'll get over there.
-
This is what they're seeing in jail, y'all doing, all right?
-
Then we gotta love the word, he said, I love the Lord because he
-
hears my voice and my supplication, because he has
-
inclined his ear to me, therefore, I shall call upon
-
him. As long as I live the cords, a
-
death and Compass me. See he's like, man, we dabble
-
tough situation and the tears of s.h.i.e.l.d. came around me.
-
I found a stress and sorrow, then I called upon the name of
-
the Lord, meaning I realized what I Min, but I call on the
-
Lord, oh, Lord, I beseech you saved my life.
-
Gracious is the Lord and righteous?
-
Yes, our God is compassionate. That the Lord preserves the
-
simple. I was brought low and he saved
-
me return to my rest O, my soul for the Lord has dealt
-
bountifully with you for you have rescued, my soul from
-
Death, Mighty at my eyes from tears.
-
Now listen, obviously the psalmist when we see Soul,
-
there's a context between Soul and Spirit.
-
We get that, but in the New Testament, and Paul is a writer
-
of the New Testament. He understood Spirit soul and
-
body, and that his Spirit man has been made alive.
-
So, you understand for him to be at at make This statement for
-
you have rescued my soul from death and that's he's saying you
-
help me. Keep my mind from going down
-
there. Some of the greatest rescuing
-
you need is to keep your mind from going there because you lot
-
of you your mind goes there, your situation are taking you so
-
long of your mind, your emotions and start taking you there.
-
Be like man you got it you need a rescue.
-
My soul from Death, my eyes from tears.
-
Meaning I'm crying about what I see my feet from.
-
Stumbling mean it I'm going to decide how we gonna change this.
-
I mean I can't tell you how many people are doing this.
-
It's because they really don't know how to praise.
-
They don't know the source of Praise.
-
They think Praises in a song that we song.
-
I shall walk before the Lord, in the land of the living I
-
believe. When I said, I am greatly
-
Afflicted. I said in my alarm, all men are
-
liars. What shall I render?
-
The Lord for all his benefits towards me?
-
I shall lift up the cup of Salvation and call upon the name
-
of the Lord, I shall pay my vows to the Lord O.
-
May it be in the presence of all his?
-
People precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his
-
Godly ones. O Lord.
-
Surely I am your servant. I am your servant.
-
The son of your handmaid. You have loosed my bonds to you.
-
I shall offer a sacrifice of Thanksgiving and call upon the
-
name of the Lord. I shall pay my vows to the Lord.
-
Oh, may it be in the presence of all his people in the courts of
-
the Lord's House? In the midst of you old
-
Jerusalem, praise the Lord. 117, they'll do it.
-
All right? Praise the Lord, All Nations,
-
laud him. All people for his
-
loving-kindness prevails over whatever that is US.
-
Great towards us. This weird translation, the way
-
they give it on. This particular thing you'll
-
pull from the truth and the truth of the Lord has
-
Everlasting. Praise the Lord 118 last one.
-
This is what they saw what they believed scholars.
-
Believe this is what the hymns they tapped into from their
-
memory while in jail. In Philippi give thanks to the
-
Lord for he is good and his loving kindness is Everlasting,
-
all that is real. Say his loving kindness is
-
Everlasting old left the house of air and say his loving
-
kindness is Everlasting old, let those who Revere fear the lord
-
say his loving kindness is Everlasting from my distress, I
-
called upon the Lord, the Lord answered me and set me in a
-
large place. The Lord has for me, I will not
-
fear what can man do to me? You see what this guy's act?
-
He's not walking man, do to me. Yeah, they may have beat us,
-
they made chained us. They may have left this in here
-
and that like they gonna do horrible things tomorrow
-
morning. But at the end of the day, Well
-
we going to fear God's got us. The Lord is for me.
-
Among those who help me. I mean we got a scripture day if
-
God be who can be and we crying about people, Oh, you don't want
-
to hear it. The Lord is for me among those
-
who helped me therefore I will look with satisfaction on those,
-
who hate me. It is better to take refuge in
-
the Lord. Look at him.
-
He's like these guys have put me in are hated me.
-
I'm just gonna look in with satisfaction knowing ya.
-
The Lord's going to bring this to pass.
-
He gonna do it. He's for me, man.
-
I was just doing the Lord's business, I just cast.
-
I mean, I didn't cast her out the first day, I waited till he
-
said something. And you know, I cast her out for
-
those who don't know, the Lord does not take kindly when evil
-
spirits advertise for him. He doesn't take kindly to that.
-
The reason why the Lord, because you can see it in Jesus's life
-
because every time the demons came around and began, you're
-
the son of the most high, he say, shut up and come out.
-
The reason he does that because if he did not deal with that.
-
And and people said, well, that person said he was the son of
-
the most high under demonic influence, because demons know
-
who Jesus is. Then, after Jesus two parts,
-
then they can use that. Say, didn't we say that?
-
He was a son of most, didn't we prophesy?
-
Didn't we and bring the horse and he Two guys that they were
-
working. This print, this girl, with a
-
evil spirit to be able to tell familiar Spirit to tell you no
-
fortune telling and stuff. So, if she's going to walk
-
around and say your other, you know, you do the work of the
-
most high. Then the minute he leaves town
-
after he establishes that church, the whole congregation
-
is going to go over there. So fishing lures?
-
Like shut that up. Don't let them have her ties.
-
The work that I have you doing. Are you hearing me okay trust?
-
He said it is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust
-
in man, it is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust
-
in princes All Nations around me and the name of the Lord, I will
-
surely cut them off. They surround me.
-
Yes, they Surround Me In The Name Of The Lord.
-
I will surely cut them. All, they surround me like bees,
-
they are extinguished as they fire of thorns.
-
In the name of the Lord. I will surely cut them off.
-
You push me violently so that I was falling, but the Lord help
-
me. The Lord is my strength and my
-
aunt song and he has become my salvation, the sound of Joyful
-
shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous Boyle.
-
How do you think they sang that line?
-
The right hand? The Lord does violently.
-
The right hand of the Lord is exalted.
-
The right hand of the Lord does violently.
-
I will not die, but live. I will tell of the works of the
-
Lord, man. He says thee.
-
I don't think that's a rest verse 18.
-
We want to go on. Thank you.
-
The Lord has discipline me severely but he has not given me
-
over to death, open to the me to the gates of rice and I shall
-
enter through them. I will give thanks to the Lord.
-
This is the Gate of the Lord, the righteous will enter through
-
it. I shall give thanks to the Lord.
-
You Have, you have answered me, you have become my salvation,
-
the Lord, the stone, which the builders rejected has become the
-
Chief Cornerstone. This is the The Lord's, the
-
Lord's doing it is a marvelous, it is marvelous in our eyes.
-
This is the day which the Lord has made, let us.
-
And he's saying that in prison, let us rejoice and be glad in
-
it. So what excuse do you have
-
tonight in this air-conditioned environment?
-
To not rejoice. Rejoice Rejoice.
-
I mean that maybe we should be smiling and happy, happy people.
-
I mean, be like, wow, look what God's doing?
-
Oh my mama. Okay, this is day, the Lord has
-
made. I will rejoice and be glad in it
-
old. Not be mad innit, not be sad.
-
And it may be what glad and O Lord you save we beseech You O
-
Lord we beseech, you do send Prosperity that means help along
-
the way. That's not just money.
-
Although they have received money before blessed, is the one
-
who comes in the name of the Lord, we have blessed you from
-
the house of the Lord, the Lord is God.
-
And he has given us light bomb, the festival sacrifice with
-
cores to the Horn of the altar. You are my God, and I give
-
thanks to you. You are my God, I exalt you give
-
thanks to the Lord for he is good for his loving-kindness is
-
Everlasting. It's also the scholars, believe
-
that Paul and Silas were singing in prison.
-
And this Psalm Psalm when they sang, it had the capacity. then
-
when an event took place, they weren't asking for see, their
-
praise was not for deliverance of the jail.
-
They knew their situation was on founded and they weren't asking
-
a specific way for God to do something, just be on their side
-
and at the end of the day, what comes?
-
We're not going to fear man. Because we've Tom and Tom again,
-
seen our Lord deliver Israel. And I'm a part of that Covenant
-
and I'm just going to exhaust your loving-kindness is for a
-
mound, here we go but then the Lord decides I'll send an
-
earthquake. And when he does all the doors
-
open chains fall off of Everybody.
-
Not just the singers. So does your praise impact
-
everyone in the room or just you?
-
Do you praise in a way only so it impacts you.
-
Because a lot of people will praise for the tension, so that
-
people can see. Look at me.
-
Look at me. Well, guess what?
-
That's why change. Don't come off.
-
You are them. If your praise is not inspiring
-
someone else to step out, it could be selfish.
-
I'm not going to say that people are watching because a lot of
-
people locked up in and of themselves.
-
But I'm just saying that when people are genuinely not looking
-
for manifestation, most people in most worship experiences,
-
that's what we call them worship experiences.
-
So great. I mean, it's like we got to tell
-
you what you're going to get. You don't hear that.
-
I mean, the church is peddling. Things by we're going to have a
-
worship experience and all you really experience has a soul
-
Realm. And not a spirit realm.
-
Because if you're not staying in line with the word, then you're
-
not praise any. Because they sang something in
-
Spa, this is what I don't understand.
-
It's amazing. Why are we not just going to the
-
150 Psalms and working with some of the I'm not saying there's no
-
can't be something original. I have no problem.
-
We have original stuff. We just make sure scripture when
-
we say it. But at the end of the day, do
-
you understand? We could just put music to the
-
word. But then the writer can't get
-
credit for writing it. Hmm.
-
Now, I understand that this can be kind of tough to hear and one
-
cents. But I'm telling you right now.
-
I refuse. For us to be mediocre In Praise.
-
And we're going to take it another level.
-
Because Paul and Silas were not praying for the prison doors to
-
open up because the minute, if they were, if that would have
-
been their prayer, the minute they open had been gone.
-
This tells you the prey Paul knew because he was Rome Roman,
-
he knew if we leave, the Jailer is going to be killed.
-
I sure don't want to put him at risk.
-
Because I didn't ask God to do this but yet his praise also had
-
the power to keep all of the other people who deserve to be
-
there for crimes committed and yet they didn't leave.
-
Did he leave? And when the Jailer was going to
-
bite to kill himself, there's no indication that he was within
-
the eyesight of Paul doesn't say he wasn't say, was it?
-
You could just easily believe that he got it by word of
-
knowledge that he was fixing to do this action.
-
Maybe he could hearing pull the sword out.
-
And he said to himself, don't do it.
-
We're all here, we're all here. And what does that man?
-
Do taste Paul and Silas out of jail.
-
Now, you know what he did? He shut the rest of the cells
-
and those guys stayed in Because here's the thing, salvation is
-
not another location. It's a heart because it won't
-
matter with these guys. If they get out, what matters is
-
have. They been freed here?
-
I can't tell you how many Believers jump from one Church
-
to the next church, trying to get out but they're in the same
-
prison every time they show up because they're there.
-
Cuz who they are hadn't changed. And he takes him and cleans
-
their wounds. And any like Paul's, like look,
-
man, he's just let us go. Maybe pause.
-
I mean Paul's big deal here this time out following the plan and
-
purpose of God. He got to understand.
-
Paul's assignments way bigger. It's why he's praising him.
-
I'm here because you asked me to start a church.
-
Of which I've started. And if I run in the Midnight
-
Hour right now, then that church will never survive the adversity
-
of the world. So you're going to take me back
-
to jail and we're going to see how this plays out because I've
-
already praised him. You've made a little more
-
comfortable now because you've helped Mend My Wounds and he got
-
this Jailer and his whole household saved, you know, how
-
to get Paul jacked. Because I just started a church
-
and you're going to need it in this church.
-
Are you hearing me? So then he skits in the jail
-
cell and you know how the report is they come and they're like
-
all you're going to be free to go to.
-
He says no no no. Hey how does going to work?
-
He bowed up to the government. The rulers of the day and said,
-
let me tell you what they did. And man he had him scared, they
-
Then followed and allow Paul to go back to the church and say
-
when you're doing God's assignment, don't you bow down
-
to anybody? Any empowered them, then of how
-
they would be able to resist in adversity.
-
And establish a stronger Church than just being self
-
preservationists in their praise.
-
I remember one false prophetess at came here once.
-
You know, they would come in late and sit in the back and
-
then they would leave early, right?
-
They did this for a month or two and all of a sudden, you know,
-
felt empowered to meet with me. So I met with them with Pastor,
-
Angie Pastor Andrew, would you stand up please?
-
So everybody who you are. She was in the meeting with me.
-
I will not meet with a woman without another female present.
-
Okay. And so she she can bear witness
-
to this. So the false prophet is came in
-
and began to tell me how great the word was.
-
How do you know she just loved the worship here and love the
-
word and all this stuff? You know, just a collates man.
-
Right? So I'm listening.
-
So then, you know, they began to tell me that they are
-
prophetess. And that, you know, because of,
-
you know, how great we are in the word and rightly divide the
-
word of Truth, and all this stuff that she feels, you know,
-
release. Now by the Lord that she's going
-
to come to service, tell me something.
-
She'll just stay in the back because she's humble, and then I
-
would deliver it to the people. And then told me never take up
-
another offering. She put a bucket in the back and
-
say nothing about money ever. although the Bible has a lot of
-
things to say about money, Jesus even talked about it.
-
Okay. So I said, well, first of all,
-
you're not the Holy Ghost. So I'm not going to do that.
-
I'm just I'm not going to do that.
-
It's not going to happen and I'm going to talk, I'm gonna I'm
-
gonna preach on anything that the Lord tells me to do so
-
that's just going to happen. well at that point then she's
-
like well then I'll just come, you know, to worship and leave
-
Really? I said, well, now, if you're
-
gonna come and just here come to the singing and I'll stay for
-
the preaching, then there's probably no reason for you to
-
come. Are you telling me I'm not
-
allowed here? I said I never said that.
-
What I said was if you're going to come just for the music and
-
not stay for the preaching of the word, then there's probably
-
no reason for you to be here. Are you saying I'm not invited
-
anymore? I did not say that.
-
I repeated myself a third time, right?
-
And they said well I just believe the Lord's release me.
-
I said I believe you're correct. And they didn't come back.
-
My point is is the audacity of someone number one to try to
-
hijack a church. But number two to think they
-
could praise. With that spirit.
-
They could praise without spirit.
-
That type of attitude and I've seen the person more than one
-
time in town. When I walk in I have no
-
problem. I'll go up to people and still
-
say hello. Because I don't have a problem.
-
I mean I am commanded to love people right at the end the day.
-
Now sometimes love is not what you think, love is and that's a
-
whole nother subject. We don't have time for Psalms
-
chapter, 40 verses 2 through 5. Look at this.
-
He said, he brought me out of the pit of Destruction out of
-
the Miry clay. He set my feet upon a rock
-
making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth.
-
A song of praise to my God, many will see.
-
And Year and will trust in him because of what he put in my
-
mouth. Others are going to be changed.
-
So our praise should cause those outside the kingdom to want to
-
get in the Kingdom. Now.
-
Real quick. Let's look at the passion
-
translation of this. Okay it says it just verse 3.
-
The passion translation says this, a new song for a new day
-
Rises up in me every time I think about how he breaks
-
through. For me.
-
It's static praise. Pours out of my mouth until
-
everyone. Here's our God has Set Me Free.
-
Many will see his miracles. They'll stand in awe of God and
-
fall in love with him now. I like the latter part because
-
they'll see his miracles. Why?
-
Because of Don't in my life and they'll stand in awe of God and
-
fall in love with him. But the other translation
-
actually communicates it better because it this one just says
-
ecstatic. Praise pours out of my mouth
-
until everyone hears. But where does it come from the
-
other translation tells us that it says he put a new song in my
-
mouth. Which means then praise
-
originates from the word and if it's not the word that you're
-
saying, meaning it must be scriptural than it's not praise.
-
Psalms 119 says this way seven times a day.
-
I praise you because of your righteous ordinances.
-
The reason why I have a praise is because I know his word and
-
the reason why his miracles are going to happen is because I'm
-
only praising. What his word says about me in
-
the situation. So Paul and Silas when they're
-
in jail, they're not just singing Kumbaya or anything that
-
pops up. They go back to the word that's
-
inspired by the Holy Ghost written by a true psalmist.
-
That had power associated with the words and an anointing.
-
And then they sang that song in that situation that it for
-
whatever reason I cannot answer. Because again, if you're trying
-
I just want to praise him till the walls.
-
Shake that mean that's stupid. I mean again your motive is
-
already off so your praise is not founded or pure.
-
We're just going to praise him. We realize there's a situation
-
you've sent us here. We've established his church.
-
Now this resistance has come and but we know you're for us was a
-
man going to do to us. We just read everything they
-
said. So they've tapped into the word
-
and they're praising it and that praise went so much that it when
-
the walls did shake and everything came out, it's
-
obvious. All these people like they are
-
serving the only God and there's no wonder why they went back to
-
that one, because all the Other guys that are in there that have
-
committed crimes, they were probably listening to the dumb
-
Idol. That did have the ears that
-
couldn't hear the mouth of couldn't speak the throat that
-
couldn't talk the, the hands that couldn't touch.
-
And so they're talking about all those gods in their praise song
-
saying, but I got the only God and then God says, yeah, I'll
-
show them. But if you get attacked it work
-
or somebody says something about you at work or sickness comes on
-
you and you speak like the rest of the world and then say well
-
Lord I'm gonna praise you anyway.
-
Well you're not pretty City. You're not praising him.
-
You can't put a tag on. I'm gonna praise you anyway but
-
yet sing in front of everybody, even though it's not to music.
-
This is what's going on in my life, almost had a heart.
-
That's how the world sings. What are you gonna do with
-
covid? What are we gonna do about, you
-
know, inflation? What are you going to do about
-
all the rising prices? That's the Song of the world?
-
Lord even though it may be the prices go, huh?
-
You're even higher. You sit on the throne, you ohm
-
Heaven and Earth Lord. Even though it may be that the
-
price of gas hits ten dollars. That's all right.
-
You've turned Water into wine. Right?
-
You calls the Israelites close to not wear out in 40 days.
-
You turn the widow woman's little bit of a flower to last
-
her through a hole famine. And if this is the last time I
-
fill up to take for the next month, so be it.
-
Praise the Lord. I'm just, Saying there's a
-
different praise that comes out of the mouth of the believer
-
that knows the word, but you can't see those praising.
-
When you don't know the exploits of God, you can't even tap into
-
certain things because you don't know the exploits of God and
-
just singing God and Heaven doesn't make you a praise song.
-
Just acknowledging, Jesus died on the cross and Rose from the
-
grave. Doesn't make it a praise song.
-
And maybe it's something, you know, but you're not singing it
-
because you're singing something else.
-
Could be some are Are you hearing me, Psalms 119, 1, and
-
171, Psalms 119? 171 says, let my lips utter
-
praise for you, teach me your statutes.
-
Psalms 119 175, let my soul live that it may praise you and let
-
your ordinances help me. Hallelujah.
-
Some songs have come from this platform and I listen to them.
-
And I'm like, hmmm, maybe that's still wanting the best word to
-
say maybe when he changed it again.
-
Because I don't want to leave it.
-
I thought of Doubt unbelief or dut magnify God most songs.
-
We sing today are really about our situation and how God gets
-
us out and never really about him anyway.
-
I don't really go to Magnify Him.
-
Right. So, what would it be?
-
Like if we just decided we won't play any songs outside US.
-
And you had to learn a new song every time you came in.
-
Would we be not relevant? Because we don't do the latest
-
stuff. What if I reach back in time?
-
The places where songs actually Touch Heaven.
-
Are they old now? Why is it at one time?
-
Anointing can be on a song but all of a sudden just because we
-
have a new style, we can't sing them.
-
Why aren't even why are we even looking at them?
-
Why don't we go back? Because, you know what, what I'm
-
reading you is thousands of years old.
-
It's called scripture. I mean, nothing news been
-
pinned. Since what some uh scholars in
-
here, 70 AD or a little bit past.
-
I mean what's the latest one? I mean no one even 100.
-
I mean, hit 100. And scripture is done the
-
canonization that we have finished.
-
We haven't even got a hundred years passed.
-
Jesus, you know, birth. The death burial and
-
Resurrection. And that's all we're talking
-
about and yet we're going to act like a songs old.
-
That sounds cheesy. Oh, so you really only want the
-
music and not the word. That's what you're telling me.
-
I know we went to 50th camp-meeting, Rhema, singers,
-
and band got up, and they were singing 80s songs.
-
But the power God fall it was fall are like, man.
-
Why in the world? Does it seem like the spirit
-
gets there? It's because they were
-
methodical about making sure what was said.
-
Lined up. And then I was the Most Blessed.
-
Has anybody ever heard of The Man by the name of David Ingles?
-
Yeah, a few not many. Some of y'all should look him
-
up. And you will be shocked at the.
-
Sound would be true, but a statement was made about him and
-
I thought we need a David Engel in this generation.
-
We really do. This guy.
-
Started hearing about faith. And went started going to a camp
-
meeting. and all of a sudden the words that came out of Kenneth E
-
Hagins mouth the revelation of God's word that he had never
-
heard before. And it was rightly divided,
-
scripture upon scripture, and the spirit of God was revealing
-
to him. See that's right.
-
And see that's right. And see that's right.
-
And all of a sudden, the gift of who he was as a Psalm of started
-
coming up and I'm one person said, it's so clear to, he says
-
if brother Hagin is considered our modern-day move of you know
-
the the message of faith. Then David Ingalls is the
-
soundtrack to that move. That he basically put his his
-
sermons to song and it's amazing people who came out of that
-
generation that move in the beginning, they could talk about
-
the authority of the believer and their authority over the
-
enemy and over sickness and disease.
-
Why? Because they are doing like we
-
do with our classical school, they learned it in song.
-
And they could sing it. Most of y'all sing and half of
-
the popular groups. Today couldn't get you healed,
-
couldn't get you delivered and can't keep a devil off of you.
-
The fact that it brings depression to your life.
-
Because some people are releasing stuff now, my pastor
-
Marcus showed me. One thing that was with one
-
popular group, just released something individually.
-
And when they showed me the lyrics, I thought my first
-
question would be are you saved? That would have been my first
-
question when I got that song. And then I'm asking who are
-
their pastors? Do they even have them?
-
And if they do is the pastor intimidated by their popularity.
