  1. Thanks for checking out the anchor Faith, Message podcast

  2. from st. Augustine Florida, now enjoyed

  3. this message. Alright well let's get right

  4. into it. To turn over to James chapter 3

    James 3 chapter mention

  5. you know I heard a minister by the name of dr.

  6. Myles Munroe and he's gone on to be with the Lord, but he made

  7. this statement. Said, it's not enough that you

  8. know, that you were born. It's not enough.

  9. You need to know why. But no one why you were born

  10. isn't enough either. You didn't know why you do what

  11. you do because you can know why you're born and still blow it

  12. because why you're doing why you were born?

  13. Has great implications. Why you do?

  14. Why you were born? Do you understand what I'm

  15. saying? It will become very clear.

  16. So in James chapter 3, James says this and he's talking to

    James 3 chapter mention

  17. the church now. He says he says, but if you have

  18. bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not

  19. be arrogant. So lie against the truth.

  20. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above but is

  21. Earthly natural demonic verse 16 for jealousy.

  22. And here it is. Selfish ambition exist.

  23. There is disorder and every evil thing.

  24. So the ambition that we have will determine our quality of

  25. life. Whether we are receiving from a

  26. natural Earthly or demonic realm, or whether we're

  27. receiving from God. Are you hearing me?

  28. So here James is talking to the church.

  29. He not talking to the lost to those outside of God's kingdom.

  30. He's talking to those inside his kingdom.

  31. He says, now, why you do what you do is very important because

  32. if you have selfish ambition, see jealousy, only can manifest

  33. if selfish ambition is there Are you hearing me when there's a

  34. selfish ambition? I'm doing this because of me.

  35. How does it help me? How does it benefit me?

  36. What about me? Well, at that point.

  37. It will put you in a place where you'll begin to lie against the

  38. truth. You lie against the truth and

  39. then the wisdom that you begin to demonstrate the, the plans

  40. that start coming to your mod of how to accomplish something.

  41. Will not come from heaven, but it had come from another Realm.

  42. I said another realm, then it means anything.

  43. You actually accomplished actually has around it disorder

  44. and every evil thing, every evil thing.

  45. You say Pastor, are we talking about this?

  46. Why? Because the Bible tells us in

  47. the last of the last days, many will be deceived.

  48. Many will be deceived. Now we would think you know

  49. because again when you just gloss over the Bible you think.

  50. Well that's that's those that are outside of God kingdom.

  51. It's obvious, they're going to be deceived.

  52. Well, they're already deceived, they're not going to be they are

  53. the veils already over their eyes.

  54. Their father is the father of lie.

  55. So this ain't about, they're going to be deceived.

  56. So when the when the the scripture tells when Paul's

  57. admonishing in the last days there will be many who will go

  58. into deception. That will be He's not talking

  59. about those that are already in deception.

  60. He's talking about those who have the capacity to not be

  61. deceived, but what would cause a person to be deceived?

  62. Well, as long as you have some kind of selfish ambition about

  63. yourself, you will be deceived. Not you might You will as long

  64. as something within you has this.

  65. What about me when you going to recognize me?

  66. When they going to talk about me?

  67. Where am I gonna get my, what about me?

  68. Don't they appreciate that individual will be deceived

  69. period. How do we know this?

  70. Well, all we have to do is Trace where the first layer of

  71. deception, man. Tested.

  72. And it's recorded in Isaiah. Chapter 14 and Isaiah chapter.

    Isaiah 14 chapter mention

  73. 14. God had created a perfect

  74. creation and he had Angels assigned to help him do things

  75. in his creation. He had one particular, one is

  76. called the Morning Star, the King James calls him, Lucifer,

  77. he was anointed cherub, but yet he developed a selfish ambition,

  78. Within him because Ezekiel Khan explains how he got lifted up in

  79. Pride. He saw his own Beauty and fat

  80. Ezekiel, even talks about how he spent time in the garden.

  81. And the time in the garden, was it the time that he showed up

  82. with Eve, okay, at the end of the day, he decided that he had

  83. an ambition that lied against the truth.

  84. And it's recorded here in Isaiah, 14 verses 12 to 16.

    Isaiah 14:12–16

  85. He says, all he said, how you have fallen from Heaven, All

  86. Star of the morning. Son of the Dawn.

  87. You have been cut down to the Earth.

  88. You have weakened the nation's but you said in your heart, I

  89. will Ascend to Heaven. I will raise my throne above the

  90. stars of God. I will sit on the Mount of the

  91. assembly in the recesses of the north ah, will Ascend above the

  92. heights of the clouds ah will make myself like The most high

  93. selfish ambition. But it God says nevertheless,

  94. you will be thrust down the shield to the recesses of the

  95. pit, those who see you will gaze at you.

  96. They will ponder over you saying is this not is this the man who

  97. made the Earth tremble? Who shook kingdoms?

  98. I love what Pastor John George said to our men this weekend.

  99. He says it's not like the devil is, is choosing in the context

  100. of well, you know, No, maybe today I'll be good.

  101. He chooses and he desires to be the opposite of God.

  102. And there's no Redemption for him.

  103. We should never feel sorry for the devil ever, because he

  104. chooses to be rebellious from the things of God.

  105. Why? Because he looked to himself and

  106. says, I can do it better than God.

  107. I want my name better. I want mine and let me why we

  108. saying this this morning because we live in a society full of

  109. selfish ambition. Selfish ambition, what man

  110. people want to be known. Yeah.

  111. I mean that's why there's so many YouTube videos and so many

  112. YouTube influencers. Everybody wants to be known,

  113. they are jockeying for position and they don't realize that that

  114. particular attitude subjects. Them to deception.

  115. Are you hearing what I'm saying? And so here, this anointed

  116. cherub the Bible says in Ezekiel he fell because he had a selfish

  117. ambition that you know what? But I'm gonna take over the seat

  118. of God, I want to place, I was never created to be in.

  119. Are you hearing me? Well, did this happen in the

  120. book of Beginnings? If we go back to the Garden, we

  121. can see in Genesis 3:1. That now this anointed cherub

    Genesis 3:1

  122. that has been thrown down influences a serpent and shows

  123. up in the guard. Look what it says.

  124. Now, the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field,

  125. which the Lord God had made, and he said to the woman, indeed has

  126. God said, You shall not eat from any tree of the garden now.

  127. Why does he want to know what God said?

  128. Because he wants to lie against the truth.

  129. Because when you have selfish ambition, you will lie against

  130. the truth. Jesus said, I am the way, the so

  131. he needs to know God's word in order for Allah to manifest and

  132. the woman said to the serpent from the fruit of the Trees of

  133. the garden. We may eat of the fruit of the

  134. tree which is in the middle of the garden.

  135. That is the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil.

  136. God said You shall not eat from it or touch or you'll die in The

  137. Serpent says to her, you surely will not die.

  138. Die for God knows that in the day.

  139. You eat it, you from it. Your eyes will be open.

  140. And you'll be like, God knowing good and evil.

  141. He's trying to create in her a selfish ambition, to be able to

  142. now, Noah truth but then get arrogant for the Bible tells us

  143. that this anointed cherub got lifted up in his pride.

  144. He became arrogant because of selfish ambition.

  145. And then in turn began to reason that God's word is not going to

  146. be the final in my life. That there's something Beyond

  147. it. There exists a power beyond it,

  148. in fact, I'll no longer be subject to it all.

  149. But Jesus testify to that day that he decided he would make a,

  150. he would storm the Throne of Heaven.

  151. Jesus said, I saw Satan fall like, lightning from Heaven.

  152. Are you hearing me because his Amounted to nothing but a swift

  153. kick out and there's coming a day that he's going to be thrown

  154. into the Lake of Fire forever and be tormented, which is the

  155. prison system of the kingdom. Are you hearing me?

  156. But here we see that he asked her concerning these things and

  157. when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that was a

  158. delight to the eyes and that the tree was desirable to make one

  159. wise, but the woman was already why she was made in the image of

  160. God. Notice she wanted to have a

  161. wisdom beyond God, but James warns us.

  162. If you start walking in a wisdom, that is against the

  163. truth. It is Earthly natural and

  164. demonic And disorder and every evil thing exists there and so

  165. it says she took from its fruit eight and she gave also to her

  166. husband with her. And what did he do?

  167. He ain't Adam and Eve chose to have a selfish ambition that I

  168. will rule this Earth without God.

  169. I'll no longer be subject to him.

  170. We know in Genesis 1, God's plan for man, according to Genesis

    Genesis 1:26

  171. 1:26. It said let us make man in our

  172. image according to our likeness and let them rule, have dominion

  173. over the fish of the sea, birds of the sky over all the cattle

  174. over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth over all the

  175. Earth. So man had Dominion on the

  176. earth, he already had rulership but all of a sudden the selfish

  177. ambition was is that I want to be able to rule without God, I

  178. want to have the Say this is the problem with Satan he himself

  179. was given rulership. He had a form of rulership in

  180. his created position but a selfish ambition took over and

  181. as a result of that evil manifests now God dealt with the

  182. evil in his room, he kicked him out.

  183. Adam should have dealt with the same evil in his realm and

  184. kicked it out. But instead, he took the selfish

  185. ambition. And because of that, the Bible

  186. tells us in entered the world. Now unfortunately, we are

  187. subject now to this father who was the father of lies because

  188. all of us, have sinned and fallen short of the glory of

  189. God. We are of the nature of man.

  190. Now, the Fallen nature of man. And you know what we all want.

  191. We want to be known. Before we ever came into the

  192. kingdom, it was all about self-preservation.

  193. It's all about me. What about me?

  194. What about in our relationships? What about me in our jobs?

  195. What about me? In our community.

  196. What about me among our peers, but what about me?

  197. Our family members, what about me, everything we did was all

  198. about getting things so that it benefits our own interests are

  199. business decisions. The people that we decided to

  200. have relations. How will this help me out in the

  201. end? Even when we go into - places

  202. meaning were hurt and instead, we're like, what about me?

  203. I want to release the I'm feeling pain, so we don't want

  204. nobody to help us. So we'll go in our own Direction

  205. and Medicaid ourselves, or drink alcohol, or do stuff that puts

  206. us in a position to try to forget.

  207. And then, what about me? What about my heartache?

  208. What about what I went through? What about what I'm when am I

  209. gonna get mine? Now it's Sounds like wow, we

  210. should have compassion now. We do have compassion.

  211. Why? Because we want people to come

  212. out of selfish ambition. But we shouldn't be working.

  213. Passion is not to feed their selfish ambition but to deliver

  214. them from it. Come on.

  215. Are you hearing what I'm saying? In fact Philippians 2:3 says it

    Philippians 2:3

  216. this way do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit.

  217. But with humility of Mind, regard one another, as more

  218. important than yourselves. Now, why am I bringing this out?

  219. Why? Because we are in a society

  220. like, never before Of where we are pulling out personalities.

  221. I lived and I'm 52 years old. So it wasn't that long ago, I

  222. mean things have really progressed.

  223. It wasn't so long ago that when you talked about a team, you

  224. only talked about the name of the team.

  225. That's all you talked about, you talked about, you know, whatever

  226. that team name was. But now when it comes to teams

  227. it, Tha he talked about the star and the team, their name and the

  228. team's name. Well, wait a minute, they're

  229. part of the team. Why are we talking only about

  230. them? Why are we only talking about

  231. what they're doing now today? We have gotten it to the sports

  232. side. Were athletes.

  233. Go into places only saying, How does this benefit?

  234. Me. How does this benefit me?

  235. How's this gonna make me look good?

  236. I mean, right now, we have quarterbacks all through the

  237. college realm that are jumping from school to school.

  238. Why? Because what about it ain't

  239. about a tea. It's about.

  240. When am I gonna get my shot? They're not gonna give me one

  241. here. When I this one, I loved about

  242. Kyle Trask. When he played for the

  243. University of Florida, the guy never played.

  244. But never left. He could have gone to plenty of

  245. schools but at the end of the day, and what's he doing today?

  246. Not playing. He is playing NFL football

  247. without playing. He's getting paid to back up the

  248. greatest quarterback that's ever played the game at the end of

  249. the day, but you think he's learning something.

  250. See we have lost team, concept or Oneness in the sense that

  251. we're all individuals, but coming together, we're one and

  252. I'm while the we can celebrate each other's positions and each.

  253. There's abilities of what we bring to the team.

  254. The reality is we're a team. I mean at this point you can't

  255. even talk about college football without knowing the quarterbacks

  256. name. But what is the center's name?

  257. You know, the center holds the ball more than the quarterback.

  258. The center will touch the ball more than the quarterback.

  259. Kyle, sometimes the quarterback will line up I'll as a receiver

  260. or come up at the center will give it to a back you know,

  261. could be a wildcat formation. He'll touch the ball more than

  262. anybody but we have no idea what he is.

  263. Let me ask you this question. How many NFL quarterbacks could

  264. do what they do without that line?

  265. But we don't call that the line are those names and the team.

  266. You know, what happens in politics, it's happening in

  267. music talking about, you know, used to be a band's name, but

  268. then they start pulling out the lead singer and it's there.

  269. And here's the thing it's crept into the church because now it's

  270. not the church's worship is the church's worship.

  271. Featuring Featuring got to have their name.

  272. It's good to have their name now.

  273. And it even happens with pastors.

  274. This is now this is a personal conviction.

  275. So by no means, if somebody's pastors name is out on a church,

  276. am I saying they have selfish ambition?

  277. I'm just saying. Jesus Christ is the head of the

  278. church. I'm just Pastor in it.

  279. I have God will establish my name, but at the end of the day,

  280. it's not about my name. It's about his name.

  281. Because if we would take John, the Baptist call to this thing

  282. called the body of Christ. I must decrease.

  283. He must increase, but have you noticed that everybody wants to

  284. make a name for themselves? What about me?

  285. What about my name? What about what I'm doing?

  286. And if selfish ambition exists, every evil exists, and if

  287. selfish ambition exists, you will deceive be deceived and lie

  288. against the truth. Meaning, you will do things.

  289. Contrary to the word of God. Thinking you're getting ahead.

  290. Adam thought I'll get ahead. If I disobey and eat this fruit,

  291. the anointed cherub the King James calls him, Lucifer, he

  292. said, I'll get ahead, I can go higher, you can't go higher than

  293. what God has made you to be and here's the crazy thing so many

  294. people are so busy trying to make a name for themselves

  295. instead of knowing god knows my name.

  296. I mean how can you arrive more when Jesus knows your name?

  297. When he sent his Spirit to call you out of Darkness into His

  298. Marvelous Light, when he personally called you to come

  299. out of that thing and it all of a sudden, now you're a child of

  300. the king and you want somebody else to know you.

  301. I mean, all I care about is does Jesus know who I am.

  302. That's all that matters and all that matters is whatever I'm

  303. doing. It makes you think of his name

  304. thinking of his name who he is now.

  305. Don't you think Jesus was a great example because the

  306. Philippian let the Paul's letter to the Philippians Church tells

  307. them to do nothing from selfishness which tells us in if

  308. he's telling a church you could live a selfless life.

  309. Then it must be obtainable. Hallelujah.

  310. I said it must be obtainable. It must be obtainable.

  311. Do you know how many musicians today started their musical

  312. career in church? But then someone told them, I'll

  313. make your name great. And now they sing stuff.

  314. That doesn't glorify God and do you really think?

  315. Just cause they put out a gospel album?

  316. They're loving the Lord. No, cuz they know if I put out a

  317. gospel album, the church is so gullible they'll buy it.

  318. It's just another stream of income.

  319. Oh my goodness. No, guys, looking for character.

  320. And then here's the thing, God knows, our heart.

  321. Today's message is a liberating message.

  322. Why? Because, you can get free from

  323. selfish ambition. Give free from it.

  324. Give free from it, just be absolutely free.

  325. I have no selfish ambition. All I want to do is the will of

  326. God for my life go. See when you don't have a

  327. selfish ambition than anything. Anyone else is doing?

  328. You won't ever be jealous of it? I can't believe they're letting

  329. Minister, they haven't asked me yet.

  330. What? Oh, I'm preaching way better.

  331. I mean, I'll deal with the household of God.

  332. Why? Because many people have been

  333. hurt by the church only because there have been believers.

  334. Who did not eradicate their selfish ambition.

  335. And they created an atmosphere of every evil thing.

  336. I mean, I don't mom when the church honors and weights and

  337. wants to serve the role of the pastor, but make no mistake

  338. about it. You're gonna see me serve you.

  339. Because at the end of the day, it's about us doing something

  340. together. I want to be known as.

  341. Oh, that's the pastor of anchor faith.

  342. I want to be lost in a vision that when they see me they see

  343. Vision more than they see my name.

  344. Now, that doesn't mean you can't have a name, you won't be

  345. established or name because God has no problem to establish

  346. someone's name when he knows, they always point you back to

  347. him and I'm not talking to fake stuff just because someone gets

  348. an award On a stage for their acting.

  349. And then they say, I just want to thank the Lord means they're

  350. serving or you don't want to hear it.

  351. Judas could not assimilate to be a true follower of Jesus.

  352. Because he had a selfish ambition.

  353. His ambition was that I'll get close to the Messiah, everybody

  354. knows the messiah's coming, the Kings coming, the Kings coming,

  355. the Kings coming, he's the king, they're saying he's the king.

  356. Look at the miracles signs and wonders that are happening.

  357. With this guy, the king, this must be him.

  358. And I'm gonna get close because we, you know what he is going to

  359. establish my name. He picked me. but when he

  360. started to think this guy's not trying to get on the throne, I

  361. don't know how this is going to start, he's denying himself all

  362. the time. I mean, I've never walked around

  363. someone so selfless in my life. I mean he's not making a demand

  364. on the throne. And at this point, I'm here and

  365. there's too many people against. I need a side with a different

  366. party again. Oh, you don't want it.

  367. So, uh, what can I do to sell this?

  368. How can I profit from this relationship?

  369. It's amazing. How many Believers come to me as

  370. a pastor, if you would just do this.

  371. And basically take pieces of the world, bring it into the church,

  372. so we can be known. I'm no and how big that

  373. influence is really relevant to me.

  374. That's up to God. He's the one who calls the

  375. increase. I refuse to do anything.

  376. He's not giving me instruction to, but look what it says here

  377. in 1st Corinthians. Just to let you know.

  378. We're talking about Believers here.

  379. First Corinthians chapter 13 starting in verse 1.

    1 Corinthians 13 chapter mention

  380. Actually, it says, if I speak with the tongues of men or of

  381. angels, but do not have love. I have become a noisy, gong and

  382. a clanging cymbal. Have you ever been in a church

  383. where it just sounds like a bunch of noise?

  384. And they're doing super natural or Supernatural things.

  385. They're tapping in to Supernatural benefits of God but

  386. the atmosphere See, this is what we don't understand is how our

  387. ambition is an atmosphere carrier.

  388. You can speak with the tongues of men or the tongues of angels,

  389. meaning, you can be eloquent in your speech among men that

  390. they're drawn and captivated by how you speak, or you can even

  391. speak the language of God, but if your ambition is selfish,

  392. then love is not there. I'm going to show you.

  393. Why love's not there and that means you are just noise.

  394. Although you can emotionally move people, let's go on.

  395. He said, if you have the gift of Prophecy and know, all

  396. Mysteries, and all knowledge and if I have all Faith so as to

  397. remove mountains, that's a god kind of Faith, but do not have I

  398. am how many people want to prophesy just so that you'll

  399. know they prophesied so they use, hey Whoa man.

  400. God use them. They're like, yeah God uses me.

  401. God uses me. Sometimes when you come to me

  402. and say, hey, I believe I got some from the lord.

  403. Well, we gonna find out what she got because you may actually

  404. have the gift of Prophecy from God.

  405. That needs to be delivered. You may actually be tapping in

  406. by faith, but your life is fixing to be exposed the men and

  407. I credit God use you Oh, you don't want to hear that, okay?

  408. Because then it will expose why? Or maybe your initial was I'm

  409. here in God. But then all of a sudden, the

  410. accolades of you hearing God starts showing up.

  411. And it will expose your true ambition.

  412. And unless you cut that off and say not, it's not about me, it's

  413. not about me and I'm not talking false humility.

  414. I'm talking, it is not about me. I've asked myself often if I do

  415. nothing else, would it is it? Okay?

  416. I mean, people want to be Isaiah or Elijah but they don't want to

  417. be Obadiah. Obadiah one.

  418. Chap couple chapter know, very little book.

  419. I mean what is God? Only used you one time publicly.

  420. Could you be okay with that? Because here's the problem.

  421. If you're like I just I know God wants to you.

  422. That's that's silliness. God wants to use everyone.

  423. The fact you're even meditating. I know God wants to use me.

  424. And if you're consumed with wind, will he?

  425. And when am I going? You're going to have a harder

  426. time because really you're tapping into a selfish ambition,

  427. you're trying to be known. I said you're trying to be known

  428. verse 3 and if I give all my possessions to feed the poor and

  429. if I Surrender my body right that it may be burned.

  430. It says this but do not have love.

  431. What's it? Do you know how many people are

  432. giving to organization? I tell you right now.

  433. Coach Bo could testify to this to I guarantee you people are To

  434. West oxton not because they care about the community.

  435. It's because they want to be known that they gave to a

  436. community, although they really are caring about it.

  437. You know, there's a lot of wealthy people that will give to

  438. causes not because they care about it, but because they care

  439. about the tax return. But they stand in front of the

  440. newspapers. They have the big checks out

  441. there aren't there like posting everywhere.

  442. Look what we did. Look how much we gave look how

  443. we did this look. We want to get coverage so

  444. everybody knows. Selfish ambition.

  445. Selfish ambition. Are you hearing what I'm saying?

  446. Let's go on but he goes on and says this.

  447. Then starting to Define love, love is its patient lovers con.

  448. It's not jealous. Which means in if jealousies

  449. manifesting How come they get to sing?

  450. That lead? How come Pastor?

  451. Put them in that position. How come they got promoted at

  452. work? You might as well go ahead and

  453. MIT. You got a selfish ambition, you

  454. need to crucify. You need to cut it off because

  455. the devil wants to deceive you. Well, I would do better in that

  456. position. They'll I mean, I love God, I'd

  457. be a gretter influencer whether you're in a position.

  458. Not doesn't stop you from influencing with God, josef's

  459. greatest influence was when he was in prison.

  460. Oh, you don't want to hear that. His greatest influence was when

  461. he was thrown in prison because it was his encounter with other

  462. inmates that ultimately got him an invitation, before the king,

  463. it was not. His encounter with his parents,

  464. it was not his encounter with the oh what was the name man?

  465. The, the he was sold to as a slave.

  466. Potiphar wasn't Potiphar's house.

  467. Potiphar sure. Didn't say nothing about him far

  468. as Potiphar's concern. I can't believe the Kings got a

  469. rapist up there. There's no indication Potter

  470. forever believe that Joseph did not rape his wife, or try to So

  471. none of those relationships propelled him.

  472. What propelled him was he was always knowing there's a word

  473. from, you know, how many to Opportunities he let go.

  474. And even when he stands before Pharaoh that day, no selfish

  475. ambition. As you've heard me preach

  476. before. He stands before the king, the

  477. king tells him the dream, he knows the interpretation, and at

  478. this point he could say, okay, the Lord has given me the

  479. interpretation of the dream. I got it.

  480. But this is what I like to do. I would like to secure my

  481. release because I'm innocent, and you know what?

  482. He was innocent and that this point, this is my opportunity,

  483. God has given me. My opportunity to secure my

  484. release. He did not negotiate the safety

  485. of his own life selflessness. He had no guarantee the Pharaoh

  486. Pharaoh wasn't saved, man. That's good.

  487. All right. Now, you understand the charges

  488. are attempted rape. You're a Hebrew, which means

  489. they were prejudiced against them and that policy never

  490. changed. Even when he was made Prince,

  491. the Egyptians would not eat. With Joseph cuz they saw them as

  492. low. Some he was the man in charge

  493. unless the King was on the throne and he could not change

  494. the policy of the land. Yet, he still served because it

  495. was not about that. It was bigger and in a selfish

  496. response, he gives him an answer and then crazy.

  497. He, he tells him his dream but then he gives him the answer on

  498. how to overcome Really. You know why?

  499. A person can do that? Because they already know.

  500. Well, God promotes me anyway. So you thought me back in

  501. prison? I'm this.

  502. He gonna have to come out that the end of day, I'm coming out,

  503. I had a dream and he showed me what I would be and whether this

  504. is that moment or not, I do not know.

  505. All I know is when the moment comes it would be that God did

  506. it. And I didn't manipulate, I will

  507. give you an answer if well, we're manipulating I said we're

  508. manipulating now, honey. I'll do that.

  509. If okay, one manipulating. We start to manipulate while

  510. selfish ambition Joseph didn't do it.

  511. Love is patient. Love is kind is not jealous.

  512. Love does not brag is not. Arrogant does not act

  513. unbecomingly. It does not.

  514. Seek its own. Now we're going to Camp right

  515. there on that one spot. Love does not keep secrets on

  516. here's the thing the Rick Renner interpretive version defines.

  517. It does not seek its own this way.

  518. Love is not ambitious. Self-centered are so consumed

  519. with itself that it never thinks of the needs or desires that

  520. others possess Now, why do I say that?

  521. Because John the Gospel of John? Our first John tells us that God

  522. is love, which means? Then God, if God is love and God

  523. is the word in the beginning was the word, the word was with God,

  524. the word that means the word is love and the word is Jesus,

  525. which means Jesus is Love and love, doesn't seek its own.

  526. It's always thinking about the needs of others first.

  527. It's not about its ambition, it's about the reason why I'm

  528. here. Jesus knew I was here, he was

  529. sent by the father. So how did love, who doesn't

  530. seek his own operate? The scripture tells us in John

    John 5:30

  531. Chapter 5 Verse 30. He says, I can do nothing on my

  532. own initiative as I hear I judge and my judgment is just because

  533. I, I do, not seek my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

  534. I don't do it. I don't think Mom.

  535. It's not that he couldn't he chose not to why.

  536. Because love is not selfish. In many relationships.

  537. People are saying I love you and that's a lie.

  538. They really should say I'm lusting for you because I want

  539. what I can get out of you. I want what, what you, how you

  540. can meet my need and give me pleasure.

  541. I'm talking about people who said, I do still, Even saying I

  542. do. Lusting.

  543. Now operating in love because when you go do something for me,

  544. when you go do something for me, when you going to do something

  545. for me, Well, the husband is the head of the house he is, which

  546. means he should be the head servant.

  547. The one who heads in servine because the greatest in the

  548. kingdom of God, is the servant all that mean.

  549. Your wife runs over you. That means you run to your wife

  550. to serve her and you don't have to expect that you'll get

  551. anything, although it will happen.

  552. Hallelujah. Because they'll discover who

  553. they are. My wife text me while we were

  554. gone and she said thank you for all those years calling me a

  555. woman of God. Wow she said that I was blown

  556. away by it honest I was blown away, not that she's not done.

  557. Give me a cue late. And I'm not saying it's just

  558. that something happened in the meeting or there that she just

  559. had a realization again, when she's fixing to minister to

  560. women and know all the junk, these women have gone through

  561. And she's having a talking about being bold and don't live in

  562. your past. And somewhere along the line.

  563. The Lord reflecting says, remember how I used to call you

  564. before you thought you were amen.

  565. But she always was, I said she always was and out of that.

  566. It pulled greatness. Why?

  567. Because she's not there for her. Now, she's there because she's

  568. on assignment and she realizes, you know what?

  569. There was a time. I didn't believe, and I know

  570. there's women today based on what she's going to minister.

  571. No, they won't believe what I'm going to say about them because

  572. I've been there, but I know it's true and then out of Honor.

  573. She thanked me of that moment. She thanked me of that moment.

  574. She thanked me of that moment. I mean, she's been so good to

  575. me. So get she better silver and

  576. gold. It's amazing, it's amazing.

  577. And how would I not want to serve?

  578. I mean, I was running around doing all kind of stuff, because

  579. I love my house and I want to get things done because I want

  580. to do other things that just projects, right people call them

  581. honeydews. They are my dues, I mean,

  582. because it's my house too. I quit at like it's just hers.

  583. I mean I don't want her to walk around thinking that I would

  584. live in a dump. I wouldn't live in a dump.

  585. Amen. I refuse to live in a dump,

  586. Hallelujah. So we just go and I heard my mom

  587. was walk around saying, man, she's gonna love that.

  588. Oh, she's gonna be so excited. I'm like she's gonna be excited

  589. and it's worth doing it and as much as we can get done before

  590. and I was trying to figure out how I could accomplish more

  591. again. Why cause it's my house.

  592. I want to see it done but man, I know it takes pleasure in her so

  593. I mean left lights on when she got there at like 1:30 1:45,

  594. whatever was at am. Now I say I was up.

  595. I Wait up. I mean when I say that I did

  596. kind of doze off. I text her.

  597. She didn't respond that. They were leaving the airport

  598. yet. I set my little watch here for

  599. 30 minutes. I'll get a 30 minute, you know,

  600. in to sleep. Let it go off and it did no one

  601. was there. So I did another 15 minutes and

  602. they see, you know, there she is, something like I didn't know

  603. you were leaving, you know, I wanted to greet you at the

  604. garage, right? Because you're worth waiting not

  605. for being in your bag in. And then look at this kitchen.

  606. Right. This is what you've been

  607. dreaming of. Hi, doctor said Marcia, it's

  608. exactly as you imagined it. I mean, it's functioning just

  609. like you thought your idea was phenomenal?

  610. Yeah, I mean I didn't put the chairs on my couch because my

  611. dog's a little rebellious, I got them their own bed, but if I

  612. don't put a chair on the couch, she'll rebell.

  613. Many times, I wanted to kick her out like the Lord did Satan, but

  614. she has an advocate with the mother stay off my couch,

  615. Alleluia John chapter, 8, verse 28.

  616. Jesus said this, he says. So Jesus said when you lift up

  617. the son of man then you will know that I am.

  618. He and that I can do nothing on my own initiative but I speak

  619. these things. Paul as the father, taught me,

  620. what I love about Jesus is that Jesus?

  621. When he calls us to himself, he's including us.

  622. He's given us assignment purpose.

  623. He's allowing us to find ourselves and release our gifts,

  624. but since Jesus is known as love, that became flesh and an

  625. attribute of Love, is it doesn't seek its own.

  626. Let's look how Jesus had responses.

  627. Look at Matthew, chapter 4 verse 23.

    Matthew 4:23

  628. Jesus was a lot different than most ministers today.

  629. Indefinitely most Christians in general look, what it says when

  630. Jesus went about all Galilee teaching in their synagogues and

  631. preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and what was he doing?

  632. Healing all manner of sickness has and all manner of disease.

  633. Among the people look what it says his Fame.

  634. What did he do? His Fame went out through also

  635. Syria and they brought unto him. All sick people that were taken

  636. with divers diseases and torments and those who are

  637. oppressed of the devil. Levels with Devils, right?

  638. Look at this, Jesus was doing these things.

  639. And with those who were the King James says lunatic and those who

  640. had the palsy, he healed them and they're followed him.

  641. Great multitudes of people from Galilee, from decapolis, from

  642. Jerusalem, from Judea. And from Beyond the Jordan, just

  643. because he says, I'm not seeking my own, I'm doing the will of

  644. the father. Notice Fame came.

  645. It's amazing. How many people want to

  646. establish their own Fame? Yet, if you're actually just do

  647. God, there's a Fame in and of itself.

  648. And the devil deceives us in our fruits and our rewards by trying

  649. to get us to take his path to fame.

  650. Instead of the Lord's path to fame.

  651. Come on. Look at Luke Chapter 5, Luke

Luke 5 chapter mention Luke 5:14

  652. chapter 5 verse 14 and 15, and he chars him to tell, no man,

  653. but go and show thyself to the priest and offer for thy

  654. cleansing, according to Moses commanded as a testimony, but so

  655. much. The more went there, a Fame

  656. abroad and great multitudes came together to hear and to be

  657. healed by him of their infirmities.

  658. In Matthew 4, he healed. He cast out Devils.

  659. He's performing Miracles, Fame came, but in the midst of

  660. Performing Miracles, look what he said to people in verse 14,

  661. he charged hymns to tell. No, he said now, listen, I know

  662. we just finished a meeting and you just got healed and this

  663. never happened, but I want you talking to people.

  664. But what do we do? We posted on social media, We

  665. need everybody to know. Okay, this is the society.

  666. Listen. It's in the atmosphere.

  667. Now, let's I'm not against you posting things that people say,

  668. I'm not saying that, you gotta ask.

  669. Why? I mean, don't think I ain't

  670. gonna talk to my creative team is saying I might make an

  671. adjustment. Don't be talking about the

  672. Miracles here. They need to get out of

  673. different way. You can talk about the church

  674. and talk about the messaging talk about the word, but don't

  675. be saying so many people got healed.

  676. Don't be talking about that because of Jesus Christ.

  677. The King says, don't tell nobody.

  678. But now Pastor, if they know well, don't you think the Lord

  679. knows? And at the end of the day, let

  680. the one who got healed, take care, because here's the real

  681. issue. I love being under the radar In

  682. fact, same to Jesus, hindered him.

  683. We want to become so famous that it can actually hinder your gift

  684. Jesus became so famous. The Bible says, he could even go

  685. into the metropolitan areas anymore.

  686. In fact, his Fame cause people to not hunger for him but they

  687. wanted him to just perform that at the end of his three years.

  688. He had to take people out of cities because they were talking

  689. too much. You would think.

  690. Don't you want to testify? We should testify sometimes.

  691. Oh, you don't want to hear, but we want people to testify about

  692. how God used us. Oh, there's so many ministers

  693. today. Pastor, John can tell you so

  694. many ministers today. So many ministers today, right?

  695. So many the private families here.

  696. So many men, as you all know, so many ministers today, are

  697. looking for the Accolade. Now, it's one thing for us as

  698. ministers to share things that are happening, but I again,

  699. we're already famous as far as we're concerned in the eyes of

  700. our King, we're just doing the works of God and we're giving

  701. him glory man went to me man. And it was powerful, what God

  702. did he did this, this this. I'm not saying that's for that,

  703. you know, God and do nothing. Anyway, I just Obedient to him

  704. and he did it. And when you actually have that

  705. motive, it will promote you, but if you actually have the other

  706. one, you're wondering why you're not get more invites.

  707. Okay because here's the thing you know but here's the thing

  708. you don't always know because the minute you let that selfish

  709. ambition get to deception. Then you'll deceive yourself

  710. that you're not selfish. That you're actually doing it

  711. for others, but yet there's attitudes and there's actions

  712. about your life that are contrary to the love.

  713. In general, like being jealous being envious, being short,

  714. tempered with other people again, Todd stand up back there

  715. in the back. He's in think sticky little head

  716. as far as leave your hands, you know, he's there and right.

  717. He's young guy. I've had a minister on Wednesday

  718. night. There may have been people say,

  719. well, how come he's let him preach.

  720. Why you have that problem? You should rejoice.

  721. They got juice and Gifts. Talents, amen.

  722. Well these people just got you, the church.

  723. How come Pastor use them? Well, they may be 11th Hour

  724. people. I'm going to use them just cause

  725. you've been here, 18 years to me and I'm obligated.

  726. Keep using you. Oh, you don't, maybe we've use

  727. you. And you don't need any more

  728. public use. Maybe that's what God wants you

  729. to do. Now, Tinker faith is just be the

  730. one behind the scenes, praying interceding.

  731. I I used to be in that position. I used to do this.

  732. I was there how come they won't? Let maybe it's time for someone

  733. else. Cuz this ain't about you.

  734. It's about the vision. It's about the team.

  735. I mean at the end of the day, if the starting quarterback loses

  736. his spot in practice, he doesn't get kicked off the team and if

  737. the new quarterback wins the championship, the one who used

  738. to be gets the ring as well. But what it is.

  739. The ring ain't good enough now. Oh And we're willing to Forfeit

  740. rewards for akyol AIDS, but I have to be known as the one who

  741. took the team. See now west Augustine.

  742. Y'all know this more than we in our league.

  743. We have to fight against that with our young men.

  744. That they don't cause now we got recruitment in college.

  745. Will make a name for you here. Now put their pictures up on the

  746. stadium. And they will have to learn how

  747. to navigate in that kind of society where they won't take

  748. credit. To where they'll be able to say.

  749. This isn't about me. It's about my team and always

  750. talked about the team told about the team talking about the team.

  751. Now, I have nothing to say about the quarterback for Tampa.

  752. Other than that individual has proven through his career, that

  753. he's willing to take less financially to get more people

  754. around for the purpose of a team, winning a championship,

  755. which tells me there's something about a team concept.

  756. They still have that they're willing to take less to bring

  757. more on so that after Something can be accomplished because

  758. getting the reward together is more important than having a

  759. stat and being known as the most.

  760. I mean, seriously does anyone think that somebody else and the

  761. 32 teams, which would be 31 now deserve more money.

  762. But yes, some are more are higher paid.

  763. And don't you have it and they have less rings.

  764. And that's just one aspect. How much more us, who has the

  765. love of God shed abroad in our hearts?

  766. How much more look what else? Jesus said this, he said this

  767. in. Mark chapter 1.

    Mark 1 chapter mention

  768. Again, how did Jesus deal with people?

  769. When the miraculous was taken place?

  770. In Mark chapter 1, verse 23 to 27 modern.

    Mark 1:23–27

  771. King James says it this way in their synagogue, was a man with

  772. an unclean spirit and he cried out saying, what is to do, what

  773. is too. Us and to you.

  774. Jesus of Nazareth. Have you come to destroy us?

  775. I know who you are. The Holy One of God.

  776. And Jesus rebuked saying be quiet and come out of him and

  777. the unclean Spirit convulsing him and crying with a loud

  778. voice. He came out and they were all

  779. amazed as to question among themselves saying, what is this,

  780. what new doctrine is this that even that he even commands, the

  781. unclean spirits with authority and they obey him notice?

  782. He said he don't want the devil advertising for him.

  783. Like shut up, don't talk about me.

  784. I don't need you to advertise for me.

  785. Not only did Jesus deal with people who were healed and said

  786. don't talk about this. Don't tell nobody.

  787. But then when the demons try to start talking, he says shut up,

  788. don't talk about it. Don't mess up, what I'm doing.

  789. But if we don't watch out, we want people to know.

  790. See, Jesus is greatest selfless moment, we find in Luke 22, Luke

  791. 22. All this brings us to this

  792. moment in Luke. 22. Jesus is in the garden.

  793. The night. He's going to be portrayed by

  794. the disciple. He picked, who would not would

  795. not eradicate selfish ambition and how many churches are split

  796. or damaged because a saint has a selfish ambition.

  797. Anytime a Saints talking about a pastor behind their back.

  798. Guess what? Selfish ambition.

  799. Selfish ambition exist. They're jealous RMB me.

  800. Why would you tell bad? Because at the end of the day,

  801. do you know God has the ability to remove?

  802. This means they don't trust God. David is actually anointed of

  803. God and he waits for God to remove salt even though he has

  804. literal evidence. and then, when the Certain members of the

  805. congregation sympathize with him.

  806. And says, let's overthrow the pastor.

  807. Hallelujah. There's no such thing as a

  808. church split among Saints. Who are selfless?

  809. There's no such thing as gossip backbiting, among the saints,

  810. who are selfless. It can't exist because you

  811. eradicate it with love, but if you have it, I don't care.

  812. Whatever are your life. You may be the most selfless in

  813. your marriage, the most selfless among church members, but you

  814. have this desire to be known as the greatest business ever,

  815. We're going to have a problem. Anything I want to be the

  816. greatest athlete. I want to be the if you're the

  817. greatest athlete, great, why do we debate on who the goat is?

  818. Why do we have these debates? I personally think the goat may

  819. have never showed up. Because there's a lot of young

  820. men and women who didn't have enough self-discipline and they

  821. were far better athletes. And one reason why is because in

  822. fact some of the greatest athletes we talked about today

  823. you'll see a time in their life where they began to put the team

  824. now that didn't mean they didn't know if you get it in my hands I

  825. can do something but they had to include the rest. and that's

  826. just on a marginal level, how about in the body of Christ, And

  827. he says to his father, his father.

  828. If you're willing to remove this cup from me yet, Jesus would be

  829. selfless, even to the point of death, he had no self

  830. preservation. Jesus says, I'm going to go and

  831. be considered a murderer. They are going to slander me.

  832. I'm fixing getting a meeting where they going all slander me.

  833. They going to lie about me, they going to talk wrong about me,

  834. you know, that ain't true. Member wanted to high priests a,

  835. what do you got to say about yourself?

  836. Because he knows I don't really care about what you think about

  837. my reputation only care about one person thinking about me

  838. right now, and that's my daddy. So in the world's I they

  839. believed that they eliminated a problem, someone unworthy to

  840. even be on the planet. But in the father's eye, he said

  841. this one's going to be given the name above every name.

  842. This one is going to be given the name above every name, but

  843. you're so cool because we have a name, too.

  844. It's amazing how the devil dupes us.

  845. And we are living in a culture. Now that is all about me.

  846. And don't think it's not around you.

  847. But today, you could pray this prayer.

  848. Today could be your day of Liberation.

  849. Today you could recognize I know my wife.

  850. And I want to, I want my why to be the love of God with no

  851. selfish ambition and Lord, no matter what you ask me to do.

  852. I have a response. Yes.

  853. Lord. Well, how's that going to make

  854. you look done? My, this is not about what it

  855. makes me look. This is not about my look you

  856. know, people name-drop. Been around name droppers.

  857. I've been with so-and-so so-and-so and so-and-so.

  858. Are you name-dropping? He's trying to get your name

  859. associated with. You want your name to be in the

  860. room with those names? It creeps in so many ways.

  861. It's there. I'm all I'm saying is it can be

  862. there and you know why we have to deal with us.

  863. Let me tell you why, because we lived only a selfish ambitious

  864. life prior to Christ and he has to renew our minds, which means

  865. he has in our spirit. We are selfless.

  866. But in our mind, we have the residue.

  867. Of wanting to be known and be the greatest. and it seems

  868. Innocent, but every evil, I may try to develop myself to be the

  869. best. I can be according to what God's

  870. given me. I want to maximize, but at the

  871. end of the day, it's amazing what God can do to very

  872. undeveloped things. That doesn't mean we shouldn't

  873. grow and improve. Because anything he's telling me

  874. to tear off breakdown get off my life is so that I'm less and

  875. less selfish and more and more selfless.

  876. And then when I hear about something, someone says or

  877. something, didn't go the way I thought I can say my God.

  878. What you gonna do pastor? But God we're going to do,

  879. honey. But God.

  880. Doesn't matter. They're lying about you doesn't

  881. matter. Welcome to the life of Jesus.

  882. Who has the name? Of every day.

  883. I just thought I'd be doing more.

  884. There's too much of you, that's why you can't. because, when you

  885. begin to live selfless or selfish selfless, It's amazing.

  886. What God has start talking to you about believing you be like

  887. I can't do that. I cannot do that in love myself

  888. and you almost like, why are you asking me?

  889. Somebody else do that. But as Pastor, John George says,

  890. the Lord is moving through the Earth.

  891. Looking whom he may show himself Mighty and strong again and he's

  892. only going to show himself strong and those who are after

  893. his heart. Thank you so much for listening
