  2. Message podcast from st. Augustine Florida.

  3. Now, enjoy this message Bible is about a king.

  4. His kingdom and his Royal Offspring, to make it real

  5. simple. What is the Bible about a king,

  6. his kingdom and his Royal Offspring?

  7. I'll say it again. The Bible is about a king, his

  8. kingdom, and his Royal offspring.

  9. In Matthew, chapter 4, verse number 17, when Jesus comes onto

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  10. the scene at 30 years old to start his ministry.

  11. The first words out of his mouth publicly spoken is this, we find

  12. this in Matthew chapter 4. Verse number 17.

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  13. It says, from that time. So this was the start, but this

  14. was his message. Jesus began to preach and say,

  15. repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

  16. Then in Matthew chapter 24. Verse number 14.

    Matthew 24 chapter mention

  17. The word says this. This Gospel of, the Kingdom will

  18. be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and

  19. then the end will come. So it's this gospel.

  20. This gospel, it's just not any gospel, gospel means, good news,

  21. good news of Deliverance, good news of Freedom, good news of

  22. redemption, but it's the good news of the kingdom of God.

  23. What is a kingdom? The very Greek word because the

  24. New Testament was written in Greek, the Old Testament Hebrew,

  25. the Greek word for Kingdom, has boss Alia.

  26. That means a realm or a territory work.

  27. A king is in charge. So, let me put it this way.

  28. God is not killing you or waiting for you to expire to

  29. die, to get you into the kingdom of God.

  30. The kingdom of God is anywhere where you permit him to be king.

  31. And Luke chapter 17, Jesus addresses this to really thank

    Luke 17 chapter mention

  32. God for Jesus because he always brings truth to bring Clarity

  33. and religion will bring a confusion.

  34. That's why. I said the Bible is a book about

  35. a king, his kingdom and his Royal offspring.

  36. Luke chapter 17 verses 20 through 21.

    Luke 17:20–21

  37. The word says this when he was asked Jesus was asked by the

  38. Pharisees, when the kingdom of God will come Jesus answered

  39. them. And said, the kingdom of God

  40. does not come with observation nor will they say, see hear or

  41. see? Therefore, indeed.

  42. The kingdom of God is within you.

  43. Remember, I said, God for us, God with us, but we need to know

  44. that God is in us. The kingdom of God, is in us.

  45. It's not coming with observation wherever you permit Jesus to be

  46. Lord. There is the kingdom being lived

  47. out and being manifested. So once you give your life to

  48. God and you start this New Journey, I read a book years ago

  49. called a the ride of a lifetime. It was by the CEO of Disney.

  50. Praise the lord. We should all stop and pray now.

  51. Glory to God. But he at that time, titled that

  52. book. But I thought man being with God

  53. being in his kingdom, let us Kingdom manifest through us is

  54. the ride of a lifetime. Because when you are born again,

  55. that's just the start. Not the end.

  56. Just like when you get married. Yes, what you don't say, honey,

  57. we did our vows, that was awesome.

  58. See you down the road sometime. I hope you didn't do that.

  59. No, what you want to enjoy the relationship.

  60. Ship the Covenant that you entered into right?

  61. And that was that supposed to be a lifetime.

  62. Commitment. Right?

  63. How much more God the Father, when you're in a relationship

  64. with him through Jesus? Does that become a lifetime

  65. commitments? I'm not impressed with today.

  66. I'm looking for where you at in a year from now where you at

  67. five years from now where you at ten years from now if the Lord

  68. tarries, where are you at 20 years from now?

  69. Are you still participating in that living?

  70. Covenant with God, Almighty growing and thriving in the

  71. things of God. This brings me to five, six

  72. questions. I want to ask you today, six

  73. questions, I want to give you today, six questions.

  74. I want to have you Ponder, not just today.

  75. But throughout this week, the weeks to come and really the

  76. years and the decades to come because I want you to stay on

  77. point. God wants you to stay on point.

  78. God wants you to stay committed. You realize the devil wants to

  79. derail you off of God's plan for your life.

  80. Number one, the first question is this and everybody's asking

  81. these questions to themselves? Where did I come from?

  82. That's a question of heritage. Listen. if you limit, where you

  83. came from to ancestry.com, That's a question of source.

  84. Thank God for ancestry can give you some genealogy records of

  85. where you came from and the Earth but you got to realize,

  86. where did I come from? The Bible says, I've been born

  87. of God really. My DNA, my jeans?

  88. Right? Is of the lineage of God.

  89. If we could just see ourselves of that, boy, you dries up like

  90. a thoroughbred. And say man I have God's DNA on

  91. the inside of me. I didn't come from the wrong

  92. side of the tracks. I didn't come out of poverty.

  93. I don't come out of riches. I came out of God.

  94. And I really get the fullness of what God wants to do in a

  95. lifetime commitment, you with him, you got to realize and

  96. meditate on man. I came from God, I'm of God, I'm

  97. in God. Secondly, who am I?

  98. You know, the world's asking this and coming up with all

  99. kinds of crazy and ungodly. Answers that.

  100. Who am I? Well, you know where you're

  101. going to find yourself at because this is the answer that

  102. is it's a question of identity. You find yourself in the word of

  103. God. You find who you really are in

  104. this word. The third thing is, what can I

  105. do? People ask what can I do?

  106. And that's a question of potential and I guarantee that

  107. most people in this room have not even tapped into Scratch the

  108. surface of what God has put on the inside of you.

  109. I pray that it awakens today and it stays awake for the week's,

  110. the months and the years to come.

  111. Amen. Potential is everything you

  112. could do. But haven't done potentials,

  113. unused strength untapped ability, it's your capacity.

  114. It's what God put on the inside of you.

  115. And said this is this is my plan in my purpose for you.

  116. I put the potential on the inside of you but listen

  117. potential will not grow unless you develop it.

  118. And give yourself to it. The fourth question is, why am I

  119. here? That's a question of purpose.

  120. Purpose. It's the why not the what?

  121. And the why Always motivates the what, some people know what to

  122. do, but they don't know why they're doing it.

  123. Purpose answers. A question of I exist for this

  124. reason. I exist for this plan and let me

  125. say this. God has a plan for you.

  126. Every Born Again. Child of God.

  127. God said this is a, this is the plan or this is the purpose that

  128. I have for you and there's different seasons and different

  129. stages within that purpose. The fifth thing is, where am I

  130. going? That's a question of Destiny.

  131. And the sixth thing is what will I leave in the Earth?

  132. What will I leave in the Earth? And that's a question of legacy.

  133. The Bible says a good man, leaves an inheritance to his

  134. children's children, and inheritance is what you leave.

  135. But a legacy is, who you leave, Jesus left truth in the earth.

  136. So our Legacy is Believers is always to maximize the gift that

  137. got put on the inside of us so that we pour it out.

  138. Paul said this way, I fought the good, right?

  139. A fight, I finished. My course, I'm being poured out.

  140. Was it the legacy of my assignment is being poured out?

  141. And guess what? We Still partaking of what the

  142. Apostle Paul did, right? He wrote a majority of the New

  143. Testament Epistles and we are still feeding on that inspired

  144. word by the Holy Ghost delivered.

  145. By the Apostle. Paul, what are you going to

  146. leave? What assignment is God put in

  147. you that you're going to say at the end of your life?

  148. I've poured it out. We poured it out.

  149. The title of today's message is this Kingdom mandate a life of

  150. purpose. Kingdom mandate a life of

  151. purpose. Now mandate is this as defined?

  152. It's an authoritative command of formal order.

  153. I say this way. It's a Divine assignment.

  154. It comes from the throne to the heart of a child of God.

  155. One of his Royal offsprings and said this is what I want you to

  156. do. And that creates a life of

  157. purpose. Look at Jesus, he was filled

  158. with purpose on the earth. He had a mandate, a Divine

  159. assignment from the father. In John, chapter 18 verse number

    John 18 chapter mention

  160. 37, the word says, this pilot said to Jesus, are you a king

  161. then? Jesus answered, you say, rightly

  162. that, I'm a king for this, cause I was born for this, cause I

  163. have come into the world that I should bear witness to the

  164. truth, everyone who is of the truth, hears my voice.

  165. So Jesus knew that his purpose was to bring truth.

  166. To the Earth. And first John chapter 3 verse

    1 John 3 chapter mention

  167. number 8. The Bible says, for this

  168. purpose, the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy

  169. the works of the devil. So the purpose of Jesus was to

  170. destroy loosen, obliterate release the shackles of what the

  171. devil is doing in the Earth. First John chapter 4 verse.

    1 John 4 chapter mention

  172. Number 17 says, as he is, Jesus is so, are we in this?

  173. World. If Jesus lived a life on

  174. purpose, we should live a life on purpose.

  175. We should have a kingdom mandate and be Philip bit of be

  176. fulfilling the intention, the design and the aim that God has

  177. for us, the Apostle Paul demonstrated.

  178. This as I said, the Apostle, Paul wrote, the book many books,

  179. but to the Corinthian Church and my key text today is going to be

  180. found in 1st Corinthians. Verses 24 through 27.

  181. I read it in a minute. First Corinthians 9:24-27, now,

    1 Corinthians 9:24–27

  182. Paul on his first missionary journey, he went to the city at

  183. Corinth, koretz Was a Roman colony.

  184. And basically it was the Hub of their Commerce, one of the

  185. greatest hubs of Commerce further.

  186. Roman Colony, they were a port city, primarily filled of

  187. Gentiles people. That had no clue about God.

  188. Never heard about God. It was filled with Greeks, it

  189. was filled with Rome is it was filled with orientals and

  190. obviously, because it was a, it was a huge metropolitan area.

  191. Some Scholars say between 100,000 to 700,000 people in

  192. this city, But also, there was a lot of money flowing into it

  193. because shipping was one of their primary Industries.

  194. So they were able to make a lot of money.

  195. So there was Sailors, there there was businessman but you

  196. can imagine the moral fabric of this society which I'll tell you

  197. there was a lot of money flowing into it.

  198. And guess what? When you don't know, God, or

  199. know the things of God, guess what money does?

  200. It becomes everything you're living for?

  201. So I'm sure there was greed. I'm sure there was bribery.

  202. I'm sure there was a lust for money.

  203. Not only that, but it was heavily Greek influenced.

  204. Reminds me of America secularly. You know, many of our University

  205. started off with a sacred purpose, a Christian foundation

  206. and they have been derailed and start of just teaching secular

  207. philosophy. But that's how the city was they

  208. were huge on philosophy and intellectualism.

  209. Matter of fact the Greeks out of he had great oratory skills that

  210. set you apart. Not only that.

  211. But it was a huge fornicating popularity of population.

  212. I mean to say that you become Christian, I just meant that you

  213. were one that committed fornication, the Temple of

  214. Aphrodite, this was there where they actually had prostitution

  215. at that Temple. So Paul comes in the great news

  216. is God, has a purpose for Paul. Paul comes into the city of

  217. Corinth with the gospel of the Kingdom.

  218. In fifty a d-- he preaches the message, people listen to the

  219. message and they respond and a church is started.

  220. But five years later is guess what?

  221. There's problems. In that church. 16 chapters in

  222. First Corinthians 1 and there's a second book 2 Corinthians.

  223. But Paul in the first chapter, first, nine verses to correct

  224. some of these things that were gone on.

  225. After five years of hearing the truth, he leaves to continue

  226. missionary journey such leadership in the church.

  227. But gets word that the church isn't going well.

  228. So guess what? Leadership is going to good

  229. leadership is going to bring correction Good leadership is

  230. going to being truth. Listen, if you're going the

  231. wrong way, on a one-way Road. You want somebody to say, stop

  232. turn around when I used to work and coming out of Bible school,

  233. this is amazing. I told you signs wonders and

  234. miracles, follow the preaching. The word I was actually a car

  235. salesman. After I got out of Bible school,

  236. spirit filled selling cars, worked out good because I walked

  237. in Integrity. I wasn't a line sleazy grease

  238. here. Slick salesman not treated

  239. people the right way and thank God.

  240. We had a Spirit-filled owner whose whole reason purpose.

  241. Lifetime commitment was to he knew what God had called him.

  242. Do he knew why God had called him and mr.

  243. Bobby Nelson, the whole reason, he had that business was to fund

  244. the gospel. He was set.

  245. Financially. But he continued open up more

  246. dealerships because he knew that was his fit in the body of

  247. Christ. Not everybody?

  248. That gets born again, is going to be preaching behind a Pulpit

  249. and I know, personally, he blessed my wife and I when we

  250. left Florida, gave us a cheque said, you know, just be blessed.

  251. We're coming to Florida to help Pastor.

  252. Oh Marcy, start this church. I know that he's solely

  253. supported missionaries over in China.

  254. But that's the purpose. I'm trying to get ingrained and

  255. you, what is God called you to do?

  256. But I remember there, it was right off the highway.

  257. There's an on-ramp in an off ramp, then unwrap is close to

  258. the dealership. You have to go over the overpass

  259. to get to the, the ramp coming onto the egg, onto the highway

  260. that way. But I remember I was, I was one

  261. Saturday morning, I was there. I was kind of looking out the

  262. window getting prepared for my day.

  263. Saturday's were a very long day in the car industry.

  264. My wife had called me many times at 6:00 when you coming home,

  265. Don't know was my consistent answer.

  266. Because if you're in the middle of selling a car, you're a

  267. hundred percent commission. You got to just can't say, hey,

  268. I'm checking out. I mean, there's sometimes I work

  269. from 9:00 to midnight selling cars, it's just the way it was,

  270. but I'm getting ready. And all sudden I heard this huge

  271. crash and what happened, an elderly person, actually, when

  272. they were coming up to get onto the highway, they went down the

  273. wrong way. So, instead of getting onto the

  274. on-ramp correctly, they didn't go over the overpass.

  275. They came coming, you know, for the other direction for the

  276. people coming off the going, one way coming up that ramp, you

  277. know. So they're coming.

  278. On way another car, hit them head-on.

  279. But that's what Paul was doing was saying, listen this, he was

  280. correcting the church. There were things that were off.

  281. So the first nine verses, the First Corinthians 1, he really

  282. does a salutation but then he reestablishes the lordship of

  283. Jesus Christ, he mentions it several times, that Jesus is

  284. Lord, he's just not savior, thank God.

  285. He saves us. He delivers us.

  286. But lordship is a kingdom mindset where I'm saying you

  287. have the final say, not my way, not my will, but whatever the

  288. word of God says, that's what I want to live by.

  289. That is my filter that My strength that is my source that

  290. I draw from right, but then after the ninth verse, he gets

  291. into the 10th. Verse of the first chapter, he

  292. starts dealing with things like strife and division.

  293. So in this church from the time they started 25 years later,

  294. guess what their strife, and there's division in the Church

  295. of Paul's bringing correction to the church.

  296. The second chapter he goes over because this is a heavy, heavy

  297. Heavenly intellectual Society, right?

  298. He says, listen to things of God are just not grabbed

  299. intellectually, you only know the things of the The Spirit by

  300. the spirit, don't forget that. Don't don't start in the spirit

  301. and then getting to the Flesh and just try to comprehend god

  302. with your mind. It's by the holy ghost that you

  303. get Revelation, knowledge, the 3rd and the 4th chapter

  304. basically said your babies. It's been five years, you're

  305. spiritually, immature. There's quarreling there's,

  306. there's jealousy and he said, it's time to grow up.

  307. He said and at the end of the fourth chapter he said this

  308. listen, there's there's ten thousand instructors but there's

  309. not many fathers. It's time to grow up touch your

  310. neighbor and tell him. It's time to grow up.

  311. The Fitch after he deals with sexual immorality. so there's

  312. fornication known publicly going on and he addresses it and he

  313. says, don't even eat with that person if they're not repenting

  314. and he says, listen the world does that And that's one thing

  315. but when a Believer is doing that and if they're not

  316. repentant don't even talk to him.

  317. Hallelujah. so, the sixth chapter deals with Really civil

  318. litigation. And social sins and he saying

  319. you guys can't even work it out between yourself.

  320. You're taking your problems to a secular judge to figure out what

  321. you should really be in resolving between yourself.

  322. Right? The 7th chapter deals with

  323. marriage and singleness the eighth chapter deals with

  324. idolatry and then bam in the Night, chapter Paul

  325. re-establishes, his purpose to the church.

  326. He said I'm an apostle. The 10 chapter deals with the

  327. Old Testament examples that they were written for our admonition,

  328. our example. And what is he saying?

  329. The Christian church has those Old Testament.

  330. Say started off good but then they got off and he gives he

  331. gave his reasons why they got off get off.

  332. They gave him five reasons and he's saying there's a Maximized

  333. Life. There's a John 10:10 life that

    John 10:10

  334. God came to give you life and to give it to you more abundantly.

  335. Don't let the devil steal that life by doing things like you're

  336. doing. he gets in the 11th chapter, it talks about the

  337. Lord's table, the 12th chapter talks about spiritual gifts, the

  338. 13 chapters of the great love chapter The 14 chapter talks

  339. about prophecy and praying in tongues the 15th chapter.

  340. I like this because he builds to a big view.

  341. He says, Jesus is coming back. The story of redemption.

  342. He says one day this mortality will put on immortality you're

  343. going to get a glorified body and the 16th chapter he gets

  344. some admonitions but really to me it's like when the credits

  345. roll at the end of the movie he starts naming people that have

  346. been a help to the gospel. When you get to the end of your

  347. life we need to see our names Rollin on the credits and saying

  348. hey Pastor Brandon did his fit as a husband as a father and and

  349. worship ministry as an electrician?

  350. Chin and everything that God has called you to do.

  351. First Corinthians chapter 9. There are key verse verses, 24

    1 Corinthians 9 chapter mention

  352. through, 27 says this, do you not know that those who run in a

  353. race they all run but one receives the prize run in such a

  354. way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for

  355. the prize is temperate in all things.

  356. Now they do it to obtain a perishable Crown but we an

  357. imperishable Crown therefore I run the snot with uncertainty

  358. thus I fight not as one who beats.

  359. The air, but I discipline my body and bring it into

  360. subjection lest when I preached to others.

  361. I myself should become disqualified.

  362. The Message Bible reads. It like this, you've all been to

  363. the stadium and you've seen the athletes race.

  364. Everyone runs one wins, run to win all good.

  365. Athletes train hard, they do it for a gold medal that tarnishes

  366. and Fades. You're after the one that's gold

  367. eternally. I don't know.

  368. About you. But I'm running hard for the

  369. Finish Line, I'm giving it everything.

  370. I've got no lazy living for me. I'm staying alert.

  371. And in top condition, I'm not going to get caught napping,

  372. telling everyone else about it and then missing out myself.

  373. Hallelujah. Now, these Corinthians knew

  374. exactly what Paul was talking about.

  375. Because every two years they had these big games, they were like

  376. the Olympics that they did in the city of Corinth.

  377. So he's using a naturalist raishin, but giving a spiritual

  378. point. And what is he saying?

  379. Member hecqs? First Corinthians 9 is when he

  380. States his purpose, but he's encouraging them to fulfill

  381. their Kingdom mandate and their life, a purpose.

  382. He's saying I'm in my Lane, I'm in my role.

  383. You are what you are because of why you are, I want to insert

  384. right now. Don't try to be somebody else.

  385. God is too creative to make two people exactly the same.

  386. That would be boring. Everybody's fingerprint.

  387. This room is different. Why?

  388. Because the Creator made you different, Psalms 139 verses 13

    Psalms 139:13

  389. through. 14 says, this thou has possessed my reins.

  390. That was covered me in my mother's room.

  391. I will praise you for. I am fearfully and wonderfully.

  392. Made marvelous are thy works and my soul knows, right?

  393. Well, David was saying, man, I'm fearfully and wonderfully made.

  394. I'm unique, God has destined me as king.

  395. What does God Destin you for? What is your purpose?

  396. Don't try to be somebody else and Galatians 5, it works at

  397. list before the fruit of the spirit.

  398. It lists the works of the flesh. One of those works is a thing

  399. called emulation. Which means I'm trying to be

  400. someone else. And you don't need to be anybody

  401. else that comes to the question of identity.

  402. Who am I right? God has made you fearfully and

  403. wonderfully. There's not a pert.

  404. Another person like you on the planet.

  405. Thank God for all the different personalities we have.

  406. We got same flag, Matic people that are just laid back and

  407. their personality, we would say chilled, right?

  408. You realize they help balance out the caloric person.

  409. That's a type and driven. We're gonna do this till we

  410. drop. It's gonna get done.

  411. Thank God, we need those people. To write the saying, winds Peter

  412. was a sanguine personality. Jesus is saying one time that if

  413. I don't wash your feet, he's talking about washing the feet

  414. of his disciples. Peter said I'm not going to let

  415. the Lord wash my feet. And Jesus said, if you don't let

  416. me wash your feet, I'm going to have no part with you.

  417. And Jesus said, Peter said, wash my whole body then I mean the

  418. extreme sanguine personality, right?

  419. The life of the party. Hallelujah.

  420. They come in the room boisterous.

  421. Excited. Thank God, we need those people

  422. to write The Melancholy people glory to God.

  423. All the i's are dotted. All the t's are crossed.

  424. They are administrative through and through, we need them.

  425. So Melancholy doesn't need to try to fit themselves in a

  426. saying when personality I will say this the best personalities

  427. under constant checks and balances through truth.

  428. But don't try to be anybody else.

  429. Second Corinthians chapter 10 verse number. 12 says this

    2 Corinthians 10 chapter mention

  430. second Corinthians 10:12. We do not dare classify or

    2 Corinthians 10:12

  431. compare ourselves with some who commend themselves.

  432. Listen to this. When they measure themselves by

  433. themselves and comparing themselves with themselves, they

  434. are not wise. Paul saying, when you measure

  435. yourself against somebody else, or you compare yourself with

  436. somebody else, you're not wise, you're never going to win the

  437. comparison game. You're never going to win the

  438. measurement game. You got to realize that man God

  439. has created me in a certain way for my purpose.

  440. And I need to do that purpose or the body of Christ is going to

  441. miss out. 2nd Timothy chapter 1 verse.

  442. Number 9 says this, Who has saved us and called us with a

  443. holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his

  444. own purpose and Grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus

  445. Before Time began. He saved us, but he also called

  446. us he saved us that's when the work of Salvation began but he

  447. also called us to a mandate to a Divine assignment So thank God

  448. for salvation, but he said, I'm calling you Jesus said in the

  449. gospel that many are called but few are chosen.

  450. So how do you go from being called to chosen?

  451. It's because you understand, I have a mandate and I have a

  452. purpose and I go to First Corinthians chapter 9.

    1 Corinthians 9 chapter mention

  453. And if I'm going to fulfill that mandate in that purpose, I need

  454. to listen. What the Apostle Paul was saying

  455. by the Holy Spirit. I need to run to win.

  456. I need to run to win. No lazy living, I need

  457. discipline. I need accountability.

  458. I need Focus. I need to learn how to put my

  459. body under. I don't want to preach to

  460. somebody else. One translation says, you'll be

  461. a Castaway if you don't live up to what you're ministering, when

  462. your call and your character lineup, you have a thing called

  463. credibility, And God is looking for a set of people in the

  464. earth. His children, his raw spring to

  465. have the calling of God and the character line up and then we

  466. got a voice in the earth to minister his life.

  467. And a minister is liberty and Hebrews chapter 12.

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  468. Verse number one, the word says, therefore we also since we are

  469. surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside

  470. every weight and the sin, which so easily ensnares us.

  471. Let us run with endurance, the race that is set before us.

  472. See this author saying the same thing.

  473. Paul said, there's a race before us.

  474. We need to take care of every sin and every weight in order to

  475. run that race with endurance, we're not in this for just a

  476. good time wearing this for a long time.

  477. It's a lifetime commitment in the Covenant and he said, you

  478. got to take off the sin and the weight.

  479. Not everybody's living in flat-out sin but there's weights

  480. in our life that need to be relate release in order to run

  481. the race. Things that weigh you down.

  482. You realize that anxiety and worry and can put a weight on

  483. you and keep you when your mind is just processing, feeding

  484. considering Anxious thoughts, right?

  485. Circumstances situations and you're just thinking about all

  486. the negative, all the fearful things, right?

  487. And you're just, what are you doing?

  488. You're really just meditating over your revolving, it in your

  489. mind. You realize that that really

  490. distracts you from what God is trying to fill in your life.

  491. There's an antidote to that which is to cast all your cares

  492. on the Lord. Psalm 55:22 says to roll your

    Psalms 55:22

  493. burdens on the Lord and leave them there.

  494. Philippians chapter 4. Verse number six says, be

    Philippians 4 chapter mention

  495. anxious about nothing, but all things to prayer and

  496. supplication with Thanksgiving, let your request be not.

  497. Be made known to God. And then he said that the peace

  498. that passes understanding will guard your heart and your mind.

  499. He's giving a scripture to cast these weights off and anxiety,

  500. is just one of those things anxiousness.

  501. I mean, if you're feeding more on the news, And all the

  502. negative than you are in the word of God, you're going to be

  503. in a constant state, a constant position.

  504. Of whirring. It's going to weigh you down.

  505. So you may not be in pornography.

  506. You may not be addicted to drugs but you still have this weight

  507. of worry on you and God said, get it off.

  508. It's going to hinder you from fulfilling the purpose of God.

  509. And how do you get it off? You go before his throne?

  510. And when the devil says, all, what are you going to do about

  511. that? You say, listen, I've given it

  512. to God. Hallelujah.

  513. He's got the answer. He's got the provision 10

  514. minutes later devil says, oh, what are you going to do about

  515. it? I've given it to God.

  516. It's before him, he'll give me wisdom.

  517. He'll give me guidance on it. An hour later.

  518. Hey, it's like Captain America. I could do this all day.

  519. Keep coming. You keep on saying it, right?

  520. And confessing it when he comes with those thoughts, you gotta

  521. respond with the word of God. So keen and mandate a life of

  522. purpose, you got to understand sin will definitely stop

  523. progress and weights will slow you down.

  524. So you gotta identifying the purpose that God has called me

  525. to, is there things that I'm doing?

  526. God will always fulfill his word and his plan, the questioner is,

  527. are you going to have the joy of fulfilling your part in that

  528. plan? Because if you choose, and it

  529. comes down to choice, if you choose to be in sin, if you

  530. choose to be Down you're going to miss out on the benefit and

  531. the pleasure of doing God's Will and the Earth, but he will find

  532. somebody else to do it. Catherine Coleman and her

  533. Ministry. Healing Ministry.

  534. She said really, I believe that God gave a man this mandate but

  535. he of this healing Grace upon me but they skipped over it chose

  536. not to do it and it passed to me.

  537. So God our use men and women doesn't matter.

  538. The question is, are you going to choose to be used?

  539. Now, you're a purpose is really found in life, where your your

  540. passion and your pain intersect people say how do I know what my

  541. purpose is your passion, and your pain intersect.

  542. I have a passion. To work out to stay fit but some

  543. of the times it pains me. To see people in the gym

  544. thinking. What are they doing?

  545. That's very interesting. Never seen that motion or

  546. movement before. Standing on.

  547. What's That? Bouncy Ball with one leg?

  548. Like a flamingo. I think about the karate kid,

  549. you know, not saying some of those things are good, but I'm

  550. thinking sometimes we focus on the minor so much we don't get

  551. to the major. I remember at Publix one time,

  552. I'm walking down the aisle with my shopping cart and in front of

  553. me, there's a lady with think it was her son.

  554. First of all, he looked too big to be in the buggy that pain me.

  555. What came next? Pay me even more.

  556. Was little Johnny, I don't know his name, they're in the water,

  557. I'll he reaches up and grabs a water jug and knocks it off.

  558. Mom reaches down, picks it up, puts it back on Little Johnny.

  559. Knocks it off again I'm done. I mean like, I'm fuming.

  560. I'm like alright is this seriously happening?

  561. Little Johnny's then starts whining, and flaying.

  562. And she's like moving quick. I'm in the shopping cart.

  563. I don't know. She's trying to get out of the

  564. store. What I'm like?

  565. Oh that pain me why? Cuz there's a passion And there

  566. was a pain to say, come on, there's a better way to parent

  567. and it's according to the word of God.

  568. And you don't have to let your kids rule the roost, right?

  569. It reminds me of the, the salesman has anybody show of

  570. hands. Had a vacuum salesman.

  571. Come to your house before. Praise the Lord.

  572. Did that pain? You know, I'm kidding.

  573. And he knocks on the door and he eight-year-old son opens the

  574. door and he said, I need to talk to who's in charge in the house.

  575. Thus the little boy says, I'll be right back.

  576. He comes and brings his little three-year-old brother to the

  577. door. that ought not be so Come on now.

  578. I'll stay on the soapbox one example longer at.

  579. I've been at restaurants before where I've seen families have to

  580. vacate. Because they couldn't control

  581. their kids. You know, the Bible says you

  582. spare the rod you spoil, the child Little Johnny's, got some

  583. cushion on that back side for a reason.

  584. You know, God always said, hit him on the glutes, right?

  585. Little bit of pain is going to get their attention.

  586. And it pay me because I'm thought I think knowledge.

  587. Should they be able to sit down for a meal but they should the

  588. kids should be well enough behaved.

  589. That you can enjoy the meal and there can be discussion.

  590. But why do I say that? Because there's a passion for

  591. the family, in my heart, there's a passion to see men rise up and

  592. be the man that God created them to be.

  593. I truly believe that our society would not be where it's at

  594. today. If men are taking their place, I

  595. know the world says if mama ain't happy then nobody is Happy

  596. by believes. God saying, if the man's not in

  597. place, nobody's happy and women have their role.

  598. Thank God for There are awesome and they have their assignment.

  599. But if a man would be what the Bible says to be, like Jesus

  600. said, the greatest in the kingdom is serving of all, if he

  601. would learn how to do servant leadership in his home, Do some

  602. laundry. Praise the Lord.

  603. Vacuum a rug pick up your underwear.

  604. Glory to God. Be engaged.

  605. It's one thing. To come home.

  606. But are you there? I don't want just a house.

  607. I want a home. So are they active in their

  608. confession? Are they speaking to their wife?

  609. Are they speaking to their kids? Are they active and they're

  610. their prayer life for their family?

  611. And we wonder why the world is a mess because Malachi chapter 4,

    Malachi 4 chapter mention

  612. says this. I'll turn the hearts of the

  613. father towards the children. And then I'll turn the

  614. children's heart towards the fathers lest.

  615. Remember, I told you all the promises of God have

  616. qualifications. He said if this doesn't happen,

  617. there's going to be a curse on the earth friends.

  618. We're seeing a curse society today because divorce is rampant

  619. and even in the church just like Paul had to address the

  620. Corinthian Church because everything was going on, you

  621. know, divisions, Coral, Strife, division, immaturity sexual

  622. lust, and immorality idolatry. You know, he's going over all

  623. these things, there was a curse, their, how much more today, you

  624. know, are we addressing the same things in our society, to Y, to

  625. get people back in position because God wants the best for

  626. you. And when you get on the wrong,

  627. going the wrong way, it's going to cause a catastrophe.

  628. But the church is experienced some of the same, divorce rates

  629. is the world and that ought not be.

  630. So, they should have some of the most thriving, flourishing,

  631. marriages that it attracts, you know, Jesus was attractive.

  632. Not just physically. But I mean, people were drawn to

  633. him because if there was sickness, he brought healing.

  634. If there was doubt, he brought hope, right?

  635. If there was bondage, he brought Deliverance, if there was lies,

  636. he brought truth. If there was confusion, he

  637. brought purpose. And people were drawn to him,

  638. people chase after him. People will left the city to go

  639. out into the country because they were so hungry for him.

  640. But as he is, so should we be People should be coming and

  641. saying, man, I see your marriage.

  642. I see your life. I want it.

  643. What's going on? And that opens up a platform I

  644. believe in evangelism going out and winning the Lost vocally.

  645. The Bible says that we are Salt and Light salt has to have

  646. contact in order to work. Salt is what we call vocal

  647. evangelism. Where you going out, man, how's

  648. your journey go spiritual journey going, whatever phrase

  649. you use to open up a conversation to win somebody to

  650. Christ great. But also believe in silent

  651. evangelism which is light. You don't, this isn't making any

  652. sounds. He's light above us but it can

  653. be seen. And being seeing can open up

  654. salt or a voice to speak into somebody's life.

  655. So when it comes to your purpose at God's calling you to, I want

  656. to classify two different purposes.

  657. There's a general purpose. And there's a specific purpose.

  658. And if you've been with anchor, Faith Church for any time, you

  659. know that Pastor arose told us that and taught us that over the

  660. years. There's a general purpose and

  661. there is a specific purpose. And what I mean by that there's

  662. just things you generally need to be doing every day in purpose

  663. to actually get to specific purposes.

  664. Here's a general purpose, being a man or woman of God.

  665. People want to go in. You know, hundreds of thousands

  666. of people like, say a Billy Graham.

  667. Which could be a specific calling as an evangelist, but

  668. yet in their general purpose, they can't even do it.

  669. First Timothy 5:8 says, if anyone does not provide for his

    1 Timothy 5:8

  670. own house and especially for those in his household, he has

  671. denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.

  672. Before you win the world. When your house is what I'm

  673. saying? And before your, when your

  674. house, when your self, You can't conquer the world without

  675. conquering yourself first. That's a general-purpose Genesis

    Genesis 18:17–19

  676. Chapter 18, verses 17 through 19.

  677. The Lord said, shall I hide from Abraham, what I'm doing since

  678. Abraham? So surely become a great and

  679. mighty nation, and all the nations of the Earth shall be

  680. blessed in him for, I have known him in order that he may command

  681. his children and his household after him that, they keep the

  682. way the Lord to do righteousness and Justice that the Lord may

  683. bring to Abraham. What he has spoken to him, man.

  684. God gave Abraham a big vision of Plan a big mandate to start a

  685. nation. but the reason that God chose Abraham because the

  686. general purpose of just being a father and a husband was noticed

  687. by God He said I know him that he will command the

  688. qualification for you to get to the specific purpose.

  689. At I know him, he was intimately acquainted, he had watched his

  690. life, he had observed him over the years seeing the

  691. faithfulness of this man of God and he said, I'm gonna drop this

  692. specific purpose in you to start a nation.

  693. But it's because for years and decades, you have been an

  694. example, you have been a pillar, you have been steady and Caden,

  695. and living out the things of God to your family.

  696. And where did that come from? That came through him a Devotion

  697. to God a relationship with God. Those are general purposes and

  698. you're never going to get to the specific purpose.

  699. If you don't do the general purpose, you know, Paul said to

  700. run your race. Right, he said to win it.

  701. Your lane your assignment. God wants you to win.

  702. Turn to your neighbor. Say, God wants you to win.

  703. Turn the one the other side. Say God wants you to win.

  704. But you realize, there's things you're going to have to do in

  705. order to fulfill what God has called you to do.

  706. That general-purpose will always help get you to your specific

  707. purpose, but it's just like an athlete.

  708. You know, before Christ. when I was in the great state of Ohio,

  709. Praise the Lord. My brother from Dayton is in a,

  710. is in the building and we have conversation, Four Seasons.

  711. Praise the Lord. Although I told my girls, I

  712. think it was this morning. I am getting weak.

  713. I mean, when it's 60 outside, I'm kind of getting cold now,

  714. whereas in Ohio, I'd be swimming in that weather.

  715. Because my body was more built up for the temperature.

  716. But I, I've always had a passion for lifting.

  717. But now it's become a platform. But when I was lifting there, I

  718. was at a pretty renowned Jim, and the owner of that Jim always

  719. taught us that there's General physical preparedness and then

  720. their Sports specific preparedness.

  721. And I thought what a correlation between just like Paul.

  722. Use the Athletics at the church at Corinth.

  723. To what I've experienced in my life.

  724. And he said if you want to go somewhere, you need a big bass

  725. is what he taught us. So you got to be generally

  726. prepared, physically. So there are certain things that

  727. you just do fundamentally all the time just like in football,

  728. guess what? There's always a

  729. general-purpose. I don't care if you're in Pop

  730. Warner to the NFL, guess what those coaches are always working

  731. with blocking. Tackling.

  732. Catching the ball. Right, that never stops.

  733. Those are general purposes from the time your little through a

  734. professional career. Right now, there are specific

  735. things that happen. You know, there's specific

  736. things for the quarterback or for the running back or four

  737. defensive linemen offensive lineman so on.

  738. And so on that, they need specific training for, right?

  739. But the general purposes are always there, right?

  740. Same thing with God, you know what, our general purposes with

  741. God, forgiveness. Confession.

  742. Right. Renewing Your Mind.

  743. Meditation. Walking In Love, right?

  744. And the list can go on and on for those general purposes.

  745. But if you're not doing the general thing, you're never

  746. going to get to the sports specific or the specific plan

  747. that God has for you. And it takes knowledge.

  748. Paul said this, he said, do you not know all that run in a race?

  749. Run to win. But that word.

  750. Do you not know that word? No, not only means to see and to

  751. perceive but it says you need knowledge of some things.

  752. You know, my journey and weight training started, when I was 13

  753. years old and my basement in Ohio was sold sand weights, you

  754. drop them, right? And it would crack the plastic

  755. in the Santa the concrete with some of the men in here.

  756. Maybe women are understand. I'm talking about and it

  757. actually make the weight on balance, but I started that

  758. process at 13. And just like anything in life,

  759. consistency is the key. I never have stopped.

  760. But along the way I've gained some more knowledge Hosea said

  761. my people perish because of a lack of knowledge for a long

  762. time. I'd say 20 plus years, I trained

  763. really hard, but ate like junk. Hallelujah.

  764. You know, there was a long time, I have to admit it you know

  765. where I do some McDonald's. I got a mad.

  766. I did. Taco Bell.

  767. I used to enjoy Tang on vanilla ice cream.

  768. Praise the Lord. Now, I've said this before, some

  769. of them don't have the Revelation to stay Comes.

  770. Is it real meat? I don't know.

  771. But I'm putting all this stuff in me.

  772. Training really hard. But I have no knowledge base

  773. about nutrition. So guess what?

  774. The results aren't as forthcoming.

  775. As they should be. And I thinking about this really

  776. all equate, this Because I won't give you some points.

  777. Three points if you're taking notes.

  778. To grow in your purpose. I'll label and just a second,

  779. but I thought about this, what? How I was living in.

  780. That example, is, like, some Christians today that are

  781. reading their Bible and praying working out really hard, but

  782. they don't go to church. And guess what.

  783. The results aren't as forthcoming as they should be.

  784. That was me for many years in the sense that I was training

  785. really hard. But not, where do you get fed a

  786. good meal on a Sunday in a Wednesday, where do you get some

  787. nutritional content, some sustenance, God's Place, some in

  788. the body and I'll get to in a minute to equip you to feed you

  789. and and they're, so in tune with God.

  790. In this position, they know the word in due season that you

  791. need. Defeat on so that you can

  792. fulfill the Mandate in your life.

  793. Side to learn nutrition. You know, I had to learn if I

  794. eat ice cream all the time or Twinkies, all the time, guess

  795. what? I'm going to be a Twinkie what

  796. you sow, is what you read. For a long time.

  797. I played, I played football back when I was in 8th grade and a

  798. high school, and I didn't like running, But then I learned

  799. straight training wasn't just enough because the comprehensive

  800. program needs number one nutrition.

  801. Number to rest. Number three, an aerobics, which

  802. is strength or resistance training number for aerobics.

  803. Cardiovascular training a number 5.

  804. A needs flexibility. But I learned that

  805. cardiovascular training was important because of the ticker,

  806. right? I'm not just doing this.

  807. I just started cardio my journey on that probably about three or

  808. four years ago. But why am I doing that?

  809. Because I realize the purpose, this body's got to carry me

  810. around if the Lord tarries And so if I want to have a healthy

  811. body, there's things I can do for the purpose of God's call me

  812. too, but spiritually the same thing, you may be strong in one

  813. area, but do you have endurance? Well then let God build a

  814. spiritual endurance in you. A lot of people in pressure

  815. comes our resistance. Come they pray for the pressure

  816. to be removed. Go with me to Second

  817. Corinthians. Real quick, this is most

  818. Believers prayer, prayer or prayers.

  819. Amen. 2nd Corinthians chapter 12.

  820. So, we covered the first book of Corinthians.

  821. This is the second letter that Paul is written to this church.

  822. And he says this. In verse number one, it's

  823. doubtless not profitable for me to boast.

  824. I will come to visions and Revelations of the Lord.

  825. I Know a Man in Christ who fourteen years ago, whether in

  826. the body, I do not know whether out of the body.

  827. I do not know, God knows such a one was caught up to the third

  828. heaven. I know such a man, whether in

  829. the body or out of the body, I do not know.

  830. God knows how I was caught up into paradise and heard

  831. inexpressible Words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

  832. Such a one. I will boast yet for myself.

  833. I will not boast. Except in my infirmities for

  834. though. I might desire to boast, I will

  835. not be a fool for. I will speak the truth, but I

  836. refrain lest anyone should think of me above.

  837. What he sees me to be or hears from me verse 7 and lest I

  838. should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the

  839. revelations. A thorn.

  840. In the flesh was given to me a messenger of Satan to Buffet me.

  841. Lest I be exalted above measure concerning this?

  842. Thing. I pleaded, I begged with the

  843. Lord, three times that it might depart from me.

  844. And he said, to me, my grace is sufficient for you.

  845. My strength is made, perfect. In weakness, Paul said,

  846. therefore, I most gladly will rather boast in my infirmities.

  847. That the power of Christ May rest upon me.

  848. Now, I read that verse because verse 8 is most Believers

  849. prayers concerning this. Lord, get it off me.

  850. Remove it from me. Now you notice if you go back it

  851. said the infirmities. Now, we need to know the Bible

  852. Church. We need to rightly divide the

  853. word of Truth. Some people say that Paul's

  854. infirmity was an eye disease. And they get this through things

  855. like this and hermeneutics Bible interpretation.

  856. You need to know who's speaking who's being spoken to?

  857. What's the subject under discussion and Bible

  858. interpretation you, if you don't understand the verse you got to

  859. read the verse before it and the verse after it if that doesn't

  860. make sense, you need to read the whole chapter.

  861. If that doesn't make sense, you need to read the whole book that

  862. the verse is contained in, if that doesn't make sense, you

  863. need to read the whole Testament that that verse Contained in.

  864. If that doesn't make sense, you need to read the whole Bible.

  865. You said that's a lot of work. The Bible says, study to show

  866. yourself approved. So in Galatians, Paul makes a

  867. statement, he says see how large a letter I've written to you.

  868. Now, do you think Paul use 82 font?

  869. It's a figure of speech. The heart of the letter.

  870. The importance of what he was saying, but yet people read that

  871. and they say all you wrote a large letter said not disease.

  872. Then he made another comment. He said you said, you'd pluck

  873. out your eyes and give them to me.

  874. I'll see he had an eye disease. So he was saying other people

  875. say, not help you out, I'll give you my eyes.

  876. No was a figure of speech. The things he was seeing happen,

  877. what was happening is he was going into places like Corinth

  878. preaching truth, and then judaizers Jewish people are

  879. coming beside. I belong, behind him and messing

  880. up everything he was saying and it was painting him, he was

  881. tired of seeing it. Everything that he was trying to

  882. establish as getting unraveled because of Lies.

  883. We can see 2 and verse 7. It says a thorn in the flesh.

  884. Now, Paulo new. The Old Testament.

  885. Well, I'm skimming, you some Bible interpretation.

  886. So, when you're reading your correctly, dividing the word and

  887. Thorn In the Flesh, is Mission the Old Testament.

  888. God said, if you don't drive out the inhabitants, the people

  889. they're going to be thorns in your side.

  890. That was God saying, literally that people are going to be

  891. sticking out of your side. Another going to be a pain to

  892. you. And so Paul was saying these

  893. things pain me when I see people come in and unravel truth,

  894. right? But back to this, he said he

  895. pleaded for Lord, three times that it would depart.

  896. I'm bringing us all this all this up because if you have

  897. sickness in your body, God's not asking you to put up with the

  898. Sickness. If you have depression in your

  899. mind, God's not asking you just to go through depression, he's

  900. saying no take authority now, take your stance now, take your

  901. position now. But there are some things called

  902. infirmities. Where there's pressure, there's

  903. resistance there could be pain, there could be turmoil, right?

  904. And most the times are saying, Lord, get it off me.

  905. And those situations God saying, listen, my grace is sufficient

  906. for you because my strength is made perfect in your weakness.

  907. Your learning, not how to depend upon anything in the flesh.

  908. You're learning how to lean on the spirit and you're gaining

  909. confidence that I will get you through.

  910. And how do you get stronger? Resistance.

  911. Pressure. Now, it's not always fun.

  912. Praise the Lord. Sometimes when I'm in the gym,

  913. I'm thinking about spiritual things.

  914. I'm thinking, just 5 more reps. Why cause I want to dig a little

  915. bit deeper. There's been times I've stopped

  916. short and I thought, man, I should have pressed Paul said,

  917. press into the high calling, right?

  918. So resistance always isn't the enemy's.

  919. What I'm saying? Resistance can be an opportunity

  920. where God is saying, this is an opportunity for you to increase

  921. your spiritual capacity, I heard Pastor, I'll just say the other

  922. day. There was a prophecy that went

  923. over him some time ago. He said, I'm walking that out

  924. right now and I'm glad the prophecy came because this is

  925. strengthening my love walk. God was so good.

  926. That a couple years ago he sent a prophetic word to me about

  927. some events that we're going to happen and now I get a feast on

  928. that word and apply love and not anger.

  929. Right? So God said, I'm not getting

  930. that off you. I'm taking you through that

  931. situation. So you understand the difference

  932. are some things you cast off and cast out.

  933. There's some things you say God your grace is gonna get me

  934. through this. And on the other side I'm going

  935. to be a little bit bigger. I'd rather be a thousand times

  936. bigger on the inside than the outside, but it's going to take

  937. some resistance. It's going to take some

  938. training, it's going to take some pressure, right?

  939. So, three things. To develop your prayer life.

  940. Number one is your daily discipline.

  941. I'm sorry. Did you develop your purpose,

  942. your kingdom mandate. What has God called you to do

  943. your daily disciplines? You know, we're called

  944. Disciples, which means we're disciplined ones.

  945. I believe we should have a plan in place.

  946. I should. I believe we should live life on

  947. purpose. I believe.

  948. In when you even when you rest, you rest on purpose.

  949. House meeting. And with an individual.

  950. One time he said I'm just going to kill some time.

  951. I said don't ever kill time, rest on purpose.

  952. Be purposeful even in your rest. Maximize your hours, maximize

  953. your ministers. 168 hours in a week.

  954. What are you doing with all your time?

  955. But be disciplined. How's your devotional life

  956. going? The church provides Bible

  957. reading plans. For the year.

  958. Are you keeping up with that? Are you checking off the box and

  959. just being obedient? But you're not really willing is

  960. your heart connected to the reading?

  961. Are you saying father this is my time with you if I'm going to be

  962. fueled and if I'm going to be strong, then I need your word

  963. today. I need a fresh word from Heaven.

  964. I need the bread of life today. I don't want stale Mana, I don't

  965. want crusty bread. I want something warm out of the

  966. oven, right? Praise the Lord.

  967. That smells good. That tastes good, you know.

  968. Red enlarges the ministry. That's really funny to me, but

  969. nobody's laughing. Like physical bread in large as

  970. your physical body. Okay?

  971. All those carbs. Praise the Lord.

  972. But I need a fresh word from Heaven.

  973. I need a Word of Life today so we should just open up this.

  974. This book this Bible and rush into it.

  975. You should pray. God speak, you know exactly

  976. what's going on this day this week and I'm just going to be

  977. listening. This is my time with you.

  978. And then on another daily devotion is this just don't have

  979. a place of devotion or daily daily discipline, but leave

  980. something from that moment or that time, right?

  981. Meaning meditation, what can you take away from the time you?

  982. With God, reading the word. Say Lord, I need I need

  983. something for this day that I can just chew on process.

  984. Think on, you know, that thoughts are going to come at

  985. you all day long. So what can I go back to?

  986. As my rock, Jesus said Upon This Rock, I will build my church.

  987. And the moments of it, the tension of the day, the

  988. decisions of a day. I need the word of God.

  989. Listen, you know, if you miss days without meals, guess what?

  990. You start to get a little bit wary.

  991. A little bit, run down and a little bit cranky.

  992. How are you spiritually? If you're going days without

  993. reading the word of God, My good, my good friend, Steve

  994. Miller. Actually he passed away back in

  995. 1998, 99, but he was really instrumental my life.

  996. I went to high school with him. He was actually from Florida

  997. moved Ohio, his dad was a Quaker, State sales rep.

  998. So they came up there. I ran with him hard.

  999. We were both love football. We both love to lift weights.

1000. We partied all the time. I'm I wasn't for God, then he

1001. got born again, and I thought the guy went wacko, because he

1002. was always calling me trying to get me.

1003. Out to get into the things that God invited me to church.

1004. Finally you did, I gave my life to the Lord.

1005. Praise God, he didn't give up on me.

1006. But one thing he told me that always sticks with me said

1007. reading the word is one thing, it's like having a dirty pot or

1008. dirty pan, whatever you cook that morning and you run water

1009. on it, right? And you're trying to rinse it

1010. off. Do you realize that?

1011. Here's a little tip for men? Little insertion here.

1012. Make sure that you wash the dishes off before you put them

1013. in the dishwasher. Did you know peanut butter on a

1014. plate? Not rinsed off going.

1015. In the dishwasher just makes crusty peanut butter on a plate

1016. coming out of the dishwasher. So it's one thing to run little

1017. water over it. Because you know, peanut butter,

1018. if you put in the sink right down, come off.

1019. I have to get some to agitate that thing like my scrubbing,

1020. brush to get it off. But what he said reading the

1021. word is like getting some stuff off you, but meditating on the

1022. word is like that SOS or that Brillo pad, that rubs a lot of

1023. things off. So in your daily discipline man,

1024. you got to say Lord, I'm leaving this place of devotion with you

1025. reading the word but I want to come away with a meditation.

1026. God would not call you or You to do something that you weren't

1027. capable of doing. There's multiple verses that

1028. talk about. Meditating upon the word you

1029. want to become a I'll say this like a pro Christian

1030. professional athlete type like Christian.

1031. The difference is meditation, What do you thinking on

1032. throughout the day? Man, let the word be real to

1033. you. Think on it, ponder?

1034. It speak it. Moderate confess.

1035. It Joshua 1:8 says this book of the law shall not depart from

    Joshua 1:8

1036. your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, to

1037. observe to do all, that's written there and then you will

1038. make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.

1039. Paul told Timothy to meditate upon the prophecy, give himself,

1040. wholly to it, who LLY? Give his entire self to that

1041. prophecy. Think on it, chew on it.

1042. The Mama said I'm going to meditate upon your word day and

1043. night, so God will not put something in the Bible that we

1044. weren't capable of doing. But how many people make that

1045. choice that, man? I'm really going to just not

1046. read the word, but I'm gonna think on the word, I'm gonna

1047. speak the word. And I'll tell you that the

1048. litmus test to know that you're really a doer of that is when

1049. something hits you. And the first thing that comes

1050. out of your mouth is the word and not the problem.

1051. It could be but God, he may hit you with some he say.

1052. But my God. He will bring me through this.

1053. The second thing you need to develop your prayer life or your

1054. purpose is your as a prayer life.

1055. You're never going to know. Why you're created, if you don't

1056. ask the Creator. You're never going to know the

1057. why and last unless you ask him. Prayer precedes production, but

1058. production is the evidence of Prayer.

1059. Only the Creator can tell you why you were created.

1060. In prayer, you need to come with an attitude, not just to talk

1061. but to listen. So many times were coming asking

1062. for things which is fine. We have, we have prayer of faith

1063. and we can ask God for things and should ask God for things

1064. but not a lot of us come with Psalms 46:10 which says be still

    Psalms 46:10

1065. and know that he is God. If you're doing all the Talking

1066. how can you do any listening? Hallelujah.

1067. So be still and know that he is. God, psalms 37:4 says this

    Psalms 37:4

1068. delight yourself also in the Lord and He Shall give you the

1069. desires of your heart. In that prayer time that were

1070. Delight means to be soft and to be pliable, you're coming and

1071. saying father I'm seeking it a day with everything I got.

1072. I'll be want to walk out your purpose.

1073. I want to walk out your plan sir, just mold me and shape me.

1074. The prophet Isaiah said he is the Potter and we are the clay.

1075. And how can a Potter form clay if it's hard?

1076. So, it takes time. This is not American

  1077. Christianity where it's a microwave Christianity.

1078. You know, we want it and we want it now.

1079. It can takes months and years praying out the seasons in the

1080. stages of the plan that God has for you.

1081. I know the founder of our Bible School, Kenneth E Hagin.

1082. He went through three different, I'd say major seasons of his

1083. life from a pastoring to field Ministry to start a bible school

1084. but that was over decades but he was a man of prayer.

1085. He spent time at the Throne of God seeking God and asking what

1086. is it that you want me to do? You realize that the Bible does

1087. not say hey Mike you need to move to st.

1088. Augustine Florida in 2004. There's I'm not going to find

1089. scripture in verse that came time.

1090. Took time praying with Angie and I say in Lord.

1091. Is that what you want us to do and after we got the

1092. confirmation that piece, guess what?

1093. We're following that plan and God works, everything else out.

1094. Those General steps created the specific step.

1095. I never thought I'm looking for a title as an associate pastor.

1096. I just worked out that General and the specific manifested in

1097. 2009. I was getting my Nation for

1098. Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Praise the lord, we will pick

1099. you up. What a season?

1100. And I get a phone call from Pastor.

1101. Earle my daughter. Chloe had just been born.

1102. I think it was the week before I actually was on Parental leave

1103. and I was at the restaurant with my manager and he's he wanted

1104. just to do the evaluation then get it done with so, but then

1105. pasture land called me and said, hey do you want to come on to

1106. the church? I'm like I need to pray about

  1107. that. That's the whole reason I'm

1108. here. So yes, but I went back and told

1109. the manager. Hey, I'm giving my two weeks

1110. notice, I'll fulfill that boy that kind of shook his feathers

1111. a little bit, he got up and went made a phone call but that

1112. happened five years from the point of 2004 to 2009.

1113. I graduated Bible School in 2000 and I kept doing a general

1114. purpose of God, my daily devotion, my prayer life and

1115. then nine years later. Is when God said, okay you're

1116. coming on full-time in the church but I never asked for

1117. that. I just kept on doing why am I

1118. telling you that just keep on doing what you know to do?

  1119. Amen. Hebrews chapter 4.

    Hebrews 4 chapter mention

1120. Verse number 16 says this. So let us come boldly before the

1121. throne of grace of our gracious God, there we will receive his

1122. Mercy will find Grace to help when we need it most.

1123. So at his throne, we need to take time, we need to spend

1124. time, we need to find out what he wants us to do, what he Wills

1125. us to do. We need to go take time, there's

1126. to go on, love on him, and thank him.

1127. Thank him that you're redeemed. Thank him that he paid for you.

1128. Thank him that you're delivered. Thank him that he poured out the

1129. Holy Spirit and you're not a weak barely getting by

1130. Christian. But you got the power of the

1131. Holy Ghost on the inside of you? Time to pray in the spirit.

1132. Take time to sing in the spirit right.

1133. Take time to meditate on the word, right?

1134. But we come before. His throne to hang out with him

1135. to fellowship with him, to sup with him, to learn of him.

  1136. John chapter 15 verses 5 through 8.

    John 15:5–8

1137. Says this. Yes I am the vine.

1138. You are the branches, those who rate remain in me and I in them

1139. will produce much fruit for apart.

1140. From me, you can do nothing, anyone who does not remain in

1141. me, he is thrown away like a useless, branch and Withers,

1142. such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned, but if you

1143. remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything

1144. you want and it will be granted. When you produce much fruit, you

1145. are my true disciples. This brings Great glory to my

1146. father. This is an awesome picture of a

1147. prayer position where I'm continually seeking the face of

1148. God. I'm remaining in him.

1149. And his word is remaining in me and that environment.

1150. God is going to work everything out.

1151. The Bible says the steps of a righteous man or a good man.

1152. So the qualification when I'm in right standing with God, comes

1153. through the word of God, through meditation and through a prayer

1154. life, my steps are going to be ordered third and last Thing, I

1155. want to cover to find your purpose is church attendance.

1156. Ephesians chapter 4. Verses 11 through 12 says this.

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

1157. He gave himself some to be Apostles, some prophets, some

1158. evangelists and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of

1159. the Saints for the work of Ministry.

1160. For the edifying of the body of Christ.

1161. God has called some in his church into these five roles

1162. Apostles, prophets evangelists pastors and teachers.

1163. But why are they there for the equipping of the Saints?

1164. Why is church attendance so necessary?

1165. Because every Sunday, every Wednesday, every men's event you

1166. come to Women's event, you come to, there's an equipping, that

1167. happens, the 11 definition of equipment is a Furnishing or a

1168. supply. So it's one thing to have a

1169. great devotional life and a great prayer life, but you're

1170. never going to be fulfilled or fully in your purpose without

1171. being in church because God gave gifts to the church.

1172. These five gifts and they're going to help equip.

1173. They're going to supply, they're going to feed, they're going to

1174. give you a good meal. Amen.

1175. We're talking you know, filet mignon.

1176. I'm ending soon. Someone talk about food as not

1177. as to upset your stomach over your minds to listen.

1178. Loaded baked potato with sour cream.

1179. Chives? Don't forget the Brussels spouts

1180. because you brussel sprouts. You get that at church or

1181. broccoli. Pastor is not always going to

  1182. skip to. Dessert.

1183. A warm cookie with vanilla on it where the vanilla just kind of

1184. running down from the heat of the cookie.

1185. You're not always going to get that at church.

1186. Why? Cuz you can't live off that.

1187. It's good. It'll get you a quick as we call

1188. simple sugar. A quick pickup but we need some

1189. complex carbohydrates for some longevity too.

1190. All you eat sugar? You going to be a yo-yo

1191. Christian. for all, use it, drink those energy drinks with

1192. all the sugar But what they're going to feed you.

1193. Amen we're in. You need to come ready to

1194. receive. Do you realize I want to say

1195. this when you come to church, you have a part to play if you

1196. come hungry. To hear the word of God, you're

1197. going to pool. Sometimes pastors could be

1198. limited in the delivery. Not not based upon their

1199. preparation but based upon the receiving of those that are

1200. coming. So if we can make that

1201. correction, when you come, are you coming expecting?

1202. Are you coming? Like Lord, I am so ready to

1203. worship. I'm so ready to receive your

1204. word. Just fill me up today.

1205. Overflow me so that I could pour out to somebody else.

  1206. Hebrews chapter 10. Verse number 25 says don't

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

1207. forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner

1208. of some but exhorting, one another and so much more as you

1209. see the day approaching Church. Attendance is important, man.

1210. You do not want to forsake coming to church.

1211. Since 1997, when I gave my life to the Lord.

1212. I've attended three different churches, and I've only moved

1213. when God told me to move, I started my journey in Columbus,

1214. Ohio, with Apostle Lafayette scales at Rhema Christian

1215. Center. Which some, you know, because

1216. that's come full circle, he's been here for our kingdom rise

1217. conferences, in the past. Then in 1998, when God told me

1218. to move after praying, he told me to go to Bible school.

1219. So I moved from Ohio to Oklahoma tenere.

1220. Bible Church there, Faithfully And then got married in 2001.

1221. Stay in touch with Pastor. Oh, Marcy.

1222. They launched the vision of my wife.

1223. And I three years about three years later in 2004 and prayed

1224. about coming tanker Faith. So my journey with God since

  1225. 1997 to 2022. I've always been faithful to

1226. attend church. But why am I saying that?

1227. Because to fulfill the purpose of God, I would never be where

1228. I'm supposed to be. If I hadn't had that mixture of

1229. the daily devotion, the prayer life and church attendance, and

1230. it's been few and far between and twenty.

1231. What four years that I've ever missed a service.

1232. Ever. I mean, there's been some times

1233. the vacation, maybe, if one of our girls wasn't feeling well,

1234. but we're talking 99% of the time 99.9%, the time here.

1235. Psalms 92, I close with this chapter and I'm going to read

1236. the whole thing and this is just in relation to church

  1237. attendance. I gave you a fusion 4:11-12

1238. Hebrews 10:25 and now I want to read psalms 92 as a last

    Hebrews 10:25

1239. scripture for church. Attendance first number one

1240. says, it's good to give thanks to the Lord and the sing praises

1241. to your name. O most high to declare your

1242. loving. Kindness in the morning, your

1243. faithfulness every night on an instrument of ten strings on the

1244. loot on the ARP with harm and harmonious sound for you.

1245. Lord has made me glad through your work.

1246. I will Triumph in the works of your hands O Lord.

1247. How great are your Works? Your thoughts are very deep.

1248. A census man does not know nor does a fool understand this,

1249. when the wicked spring up like grass.

1250. And when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that

1251. they may be destroyed forever. But you Lord are on high for

1252. Evermore. For behold, your enemy is a

1253. lord. Behold your enemies Shall

1254. Perish. All the workers of iniquity

1255. shall be scattered but my horn you have exalted like a wild ox.

1256. I have been Anointed with fresh oil my eyes also have seen my

1257. desire on my enemies my ears hear my desire on the wicked.

1258. Who rise up against me verse 12. The righteous shall flourish

1259. like a palm tree. He shall grow like a cedar in

1260. Lebanon, those who are planted in the house of the Lord, shall

1261. flourish in the courts of our God, they shall still bear fruit

1262. and old age, they shall be fresh and flourishing to declare that

1263. the Lord is upright. He is my rock and there is no

1264. unrighteousness in him. Let me read verse 12 and 13.

1265. Just think about this in your ear.

1266. Read day or every Sunday your every Wednesday Church

1267. attendance. Their righteous shall flourish

1268. like a palm tree. You shall grow like a cedar and

1269. Lebanon if you are planted in the house of the Lord. if you

1270. are planted in the house of the Lord, if you are planted in the

1271. house Lord the promise of God says if you keep coming to

1272. church You're going to flourish and even in old age, you still

1273. bringing forth fruit. The promise is not there for

1274. those who get out of, it's the banana that gets away from the

1275. bunch of gets peeled. Selah keep coming to church keep
