Thanks for checking out the anchor Faith.
-
Message podcast from st. Augustine Florida.
-
Now, enjoy this message. He is so good.
-
And so faithful. Isn't he?
-
Come on it and he's so good. So faithful because nobody can
-
love us. Like, Jesus can come on nobody.
-
Nobody can Love Me. Like, Jesus can love me.
-
Come on, Hallelujah. There was a void in every human
-
heart. That was always meant for his
-
love to feel glory to God. And it's only his Is love that
-
can completely satisfy. Completely satisfied.
-
Hallelujah. No man.
-
Come on, no woman. I don't care how good they are,
-
they can't satisfy that place that only God can satisfy.
-
No Mama no Daddy. Come on.
-
No child. No child.
-
Nothing can satisfy that human heart.
-
That only God was supposed to feel.
-
Hallelujah, with complete love, pure love himself.
-
That's all. He created us to encounter and
-
to experience is the pure love of God.
-
Hallelujah. It's all we ever wanted us to
-
know from the very beginning. He created man in the garden.
-
He created him to have that love relationship with him.
-
Amen. And man was never to encounter
-
any other type of love, but because of the Fall, come on,
-
imitation had to come into play of what this world could try to
-
feel of what everything else in the world, could try to satisfy
-
because we were living by our senses and how we fell.
-
Because of the sin nature because of the Fall, amen.
-
Hallelujah. But he never his original intent
-
was never for us to have to encounter any other type of
-
love, but just pure Agape, which is God himself.
-
A gossip, a that's all we were ever intended to encounter.
-
Hallelujah. And it's the very thing that
-
every human heart is still searching for that.
-
Doesn't know him. Amen.
-
And you know, Ephesians talks about the fact Of how he wants
-
us to know, deaths, and widths and lengths, and Heights of his
-
love. So, you know what that tells me,
-
we can encounter more and more and more, and more, and more and
-
more and more of his love. We've not exhausted his love.
-
Come on, come on. There's so much more to
-
encounter with his love. It wasn't just too.
-
Come on, just be there to love us enough to save us and to, you
-
know, fill that heart. But know, his love was there to
-
continually bring a supply. Every day as we grow in him to
-
where we could grow in him and in his love in depth and width
-
and length and height that no man can do outside of him, he
-
can take you to places. Come on, everybody talks about
-
in the natural, how, you know, man, and woman they can take you
-
places. No, nobody can take you to a
-
place but my God, come on. No matter how good it is in the
-
natural, his is even better. Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah. And so we need.
-
If we don't have that relationship with him that we
-
are growing in these depths of love with him on a continual
-
basis. They're still going to be lack
-
and they're still going to be things that you're not satisfied
-
with. Come on, but it's up to you to
-
grow in this love a men to grow in the love of God and to
-
continue to be motivated by his love.
-
Everything we do in the kingdom of God should be motivated by
-
his love. If his love is not the
-
motivation. For why you come to church?
-
Why you serve? Why you help the poor.
-
Come on, it's nothing. See your motive is wrong.
-
The motivation for why we do what we do is because we want to
-
love him, come on and serve him. And it's because I love him that
-
I'm doing the things that I'm doing.
-
Hallelujah. It has to be the motivation of
-
our heart glory to God. Well I'm preaching tonight.
-
If y'all have figured that out you know and Pastor did a
-
wonderful job on the route of love right in his teaching, to
-
get some things Back in Balance that the world always tries to
-
get out of balance and for some reason, it always gets up in the
-
church. Right.
-
You know and I don't remember, I believe he said this you know
-
with everything in the word of God there is always and has
-
always been a god side and a man side and that's the thing that
-
it seems people always get confused.
-
Because it was always God working with man.
-
So there is a God side and things that he has done and has
-
established. And God, I've said this before
-
has already done everything. He's gonna do Jesus has
-
fulfilled his purpose and has already done everything he's
-
gonna do. Right?
-
And now it's the holy ghost at work in our lives and through
-
our lives to continue to allow Allow us to hear from God to
-
grow in God, to do the things necessary that we need to do for
-
God and operating in his kingdom.
-
Amen. And we have a responsibility now
-
that God has done everything for us.
-
We have the responsibility now that we have to work this thing.
-
Now, we're not working that in the flesh to be born again.
-
No, we are working under his Come on and by faith.
-
To see the purpose and the plan that God has for each and every
-
one of our Lives to come to pass and there's a Grace upon our
-
life to be able to accomplish that whatever it is, right?
-
There's a Grace to be able to do that and we do it by faith.
-
We do it by faith but he ministered on you know, the
-
route of love and we saw that, you know, there has always been
-
and will always continue. Continue to be conditions to his
-
love. Amen.
-
I don't have a problem with that, it's set boundaries for my
-
life when I needed to be reined in.
-
Come on, set. Boundaries, is it that what we
-
are as parents supposed to do for our children?
-
Set boundaries why? So they don't get out of
-
control. And run wild because no human
-
person was ever supposed to be self-governed.
-
We were always supposed to be governed by God, come on by him.
-
And there was always boundaries set, right?
-
Because love has boundaries, amen.
-
So, you know, in him teaching on love.
-
We also remember him talking about, the fact that God is love
-
God does not feel loved, right? God is love.
-
He is the essence of love. It is his nature.
-
It's who he is. He is love, right?
-
We just have to have a proper definition of what his love
-
produces right and how his love operates for us to continue to
-
make sure that we're walking in alignment with what he says love
-
is and not what the world says love is right and And so you
-
know with love we know that he said that God is love it's the
-
very essence of who he is. It's his nature.
-
Some people say it's his character.
-
Love is his character. It's who he is right?
-
We can say this. He is the source of pure love.
-
He's the source of Love of Holy, Love of pure love.
-
Amen, of undefiled love. Come on of undefiled, love the
-
world has defiled. What God created.
-
And turned it into lust, right? Okay, so we have to recognize
-
that he is love. He is pure love and not only
-
that, that the foundation of his kingdom and how he operates is
-
through. Love the foundation, of the
-
kingdom of God, is love, right? Why is this important?
-
You remember Pastor ministered on the floor?
-
Forest and he always talked about, you can't see the, what
-
the the trees for through the forest, right?
-
Because so many people get focused on different parts of
-
God that they miss the whole picture, the big picture of the
-
Kingdom, but he and talking about the forest when he
-
preached and Minister on that I'll never forget.
-
He talked about how that before Forest bed is love.
-
Everything up comes up out of love, every tree in.
-
The kingdom of God, comes up and grows from what love.
-
It's the forest bad. What does that saying?
-
It's the foundation. It's the foundation of the
-
Kingdom, which is love because God is love.
-
So everything that he has to offer us as being his children.
-
Right is He's always motivated. His motivation is love and life
-
everything. He brings brings life to it,
-
right? His motivation is love.
-
So when he talks about healing what is that?
-
Tree of healing growing up out of love.
-
When we talk teach on faith, what is Faith growing out of
-
actually we know and Galatians 5 Faith Works through love and if
-
we don't operate in love, our faith is not Going to work
-
bottom line, so you can sit in church and have aught with your
-
brother and at like your faith is working, but you're a liar.
-
That's just I mean he called you a liar and his word is can say
-
it, right. Right, you can't do it.
-
It won't work, his scripture. Says it won't.
-
Right? So everything every subject, you
-
know, our confession, the sanctification, the blood, all
-
of these subjects that we learn about the Holy Spirit, none of
-
these things can operate properly if we don't understand
-
that it has to be funneled through.
-
Our heart of love. The motivation has to be through
-
the heart of love, because that's his heart.
-
That's who he is. That's how his kingdom functions
-
and operates, right? So it's very important that we
-
recognize that as well, right. Now I want to say this God's
-
love in definition, and who he is, is agape, Agape.
-
Is the Greek word for the love of God, okay.
-
And that is a pure type of love. It is God himself.
-
And the thing about it is, is we must be allowing love to be the
-
driving force behind our daily life in Christ.
-
It must be the driving force. It must be the thing that pushes
-
us that propels us. That drives us to live this
-
Kingdom Life his love, okay? And so we're going to talk about
-
his love and talk about agape. Love a little bit for the next
-
few Wednesday nights. We'll see where we go, right.
-
You know how? That's how I flow will see.
-
We may not do. Love the whole time.
-
There may be something, the Lord a direct me to through the
-
process, but we're going to start with love.
-
Okay, let me say this. That love God's love has to flow
-
through you. God's love was never meant to
-
just be, and we're going to get to these scriptures in a minute.
-
I'm just laying a foundation shed abroad in your heart to
-
just remain in your heart. His love must flow through you.
-
It must flow through you and we're going to see the
-
connection there. His love is always connected to
-
others. We're going to see this
-
everywhere. He talks about his love in
-
Scripture. It always has a reference to
-
others. Okay, we're going to see this in
-
scripture. Why is this important?
-
Because it wasn't just about Jesus loved you.
-
And it's about your little personal relationship with Jesus
-
and nothing else matters. No everywhere.
-
You see he talks about love. It is connected to someone else.
-
Always and we're going to see why.
-
Because this type of love, the love of the father cannot be
-
contained. It cannot be contained because
-
his love is not selfish. His love is pure, his love is
-
selfless. He is love and love has to give
-
of itself and that's why he created man because he needed
-
another, come on object to be able to shed his love on to pour
-
his love out on because love can't be contained.
-
It has to be given out his love, his love has to be given out, it
-
has to flow to others because that's who he is.
-
Who he is, okay. Love his life, was always
-
supposed to be reciprocal, right?
-
Of reciprocal thing. Always that it would just flow
-
and continue to go into other another individual into another
-
individual into another individual.
-
It was always supposed to flow, never to be contained, just so
-
you can enjoy his love because, you know, it's he loved me.
-
You have to say these things because this world is so wrapped
-
up in itself. That we've bought that lie even
-
in the church. Come on.
-
That even the people in the church, don't want to share his
-
love. How in the world can you not
-
share about his love? How in the world?
-
Can you be so selfish to keep it all to yourself?
-
Come on. No no, no.
-
His love was supposed to flow. It was supposed to flow, and
-
that's how we end up getting selfish.
-
Christians is, when we don't let it flow, it actually will become
-
stagnant within your own heart. Clogged up, come on.
-
So let's go to a few scriptures so y'all won't keep looking at
-
me like that. First John Chapter 4 verses 7
-
through 21. it says this beloved let us love o one another For
-
love is what so his love that's from him.
-
It's supposed to be what? For a one another, not just you
-
come on, not just you. But for one another and everyone
-
who loves is born of God and knows God the one who does not
-
love, does not know. God for God Is Love by this.
-
The love of God was manifested in.
-
In us that God sent his only begotten son into the world, so
-
that we might live through him in this love.
-
Not that, we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son to
-
be a perpetuation for our sins. Beloved, if God, so loved us, we
-
also ought to love one another. Again, no one has seen God at
-
any time and if we love one another, oh, this is
-
interesting. and if we love one another, God abides in US, And
-
his love is perfected in US. That word perfected means
-
mature. It's matured.
-
So you can have the love of God in your heart that has not
-
matured and is still selfish and still wrapped up in what God's
-
done for you. If you've not allowed this love
-
to flourish and grow within your heart that he shed abroad and
-
we're going to read that scripture in a minute.
-
So he says this by this. We know that we abide in him and
-
he in us because he has given us of his Spirit.
-
We have seen and testified that the father has sent the son to
-
be the savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is
-
the son of God, God abides in him and he in God God, we have
-
come to know and believe the love, which God has for us.
-
God is love and the one who abides in love abides, in God,
-
and God abides in him. By this love is perfected with
-
us by what? How is love perfected in us?
-
If we abide in his love, that word abide.
-
Stay put in his love and I'm going to tell you in the world.
-
We're living. We better abide and stay put
-
because there's some unlovely things happening in the world
-
and we must be abiding in this love on a continual basis.
-
Dwelling in this love staying put in this love right?
-
Sitting in a posture of love. Then he says, then he says, this
-
is love is perfected with us, if we are continually what abiding,
-
so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment because
-
as he is. So, are we in the world?
-
There is no fear in love, but perfect love.
-
What cast out fear? His perfect love cast out fear.
-
His perfect love again that word means matured love.
-
His perfect love has his love matured within you.
-
It should be so matured within you that covid doesn't fear
-
bring fear to you. Because perfect love cast out,
-
fear. Perfect.
-
Love mature. Love within your heart.
-
Come on will not fear when you get the diagnosis of cancer.
-
Come on, perfect. Love dwelling in.
-
You abiding in you and you've matured in this love.
-
You've gone to death and widths and Heights.
-
And length of his love continually year after year
-
growing in the knowledge of his love.
-
Come on, that thing's listen. That the world is fearful of you
-
don't have to fear you don't even have to fear, man.
-
That can take your life. The Bible says, come on, we
-
don't have to fear because we've allowed his Love to mature
-
within us grow within us to perfect us to a place that I
-
know. I'm encapsulated in his love, no
-
matter what from day-to-day his love.
-
Come on, just it's all around me within me.
-
Soak it out of me. When things come up throughout
-
the day that want to get me out of a place of love with
-
somebody. It don't even happened.
-
You know, why? Because it's oozing out of me.
-
That's how we should live. So full of his love, I said this
-
year, I'm living in the Overflow.
-
Y'all can stay shallow if you want but I'm going to live in
-
the Overflow of all that God has come on.
-
So it's very important that we recognize that.
-
If we've allowed God's love to perfect us, we don't have to
-
fear anything. What can man do to US?
-
Economic collapse, who cares? I'm not going to worry about it.
-
A day in my life. Right, who cares?
-
Time and time again, you can see through scripture, if you've
-
read your Bible from Genesis to Revelation year after year,
-
after year, after year, come on, 32 years of reading the word and
-
acting on the word. You ought to have something in
-
your heart. You don't have to fear verse 19.
-
It said we love because he first loved us.
-
We can't love right outside of God.
-
We cannot love outside of him. We'll have a disordered view of
-
love outside of him because everything that this world has
-
is nothing. But Distortion verse 20 says
-
this. If someone says I love God but
-
hates his brother. I don't even know how half of
-
these Christians can act a fool the way they do.
-
Hating on people and talk about people, slander people and say
-
they are believers and Ron people to the ground.
-
Talk about them. Slander them.
-
Actin crazy. And have and thinking, they're
-
there, right with God, that that ain't even right, that ain't
-
even right. Christians have racist problems.
-
Come on, I ain't even right. So he says I love God or he says
-
if you say you love God but hate your brother, what does he call
-
you? He said it for the one who does
-
not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God.
-
Whom he has not seen. Now, who is he talking to here?
-
In this book of First, John, he is talking to believers.
-
You ain't talking to the world. He's talking to believers. so he
-
says this verse 21 and this commandment we have from him
-
that the one who loves God should also what Love his
-
brother, always. His love has always been
-
connected to one another. To someone else wasn't just
-
about you. It was about others and I think
-
in the church we forgotten that We forgotten because we've we've
-
watered down Christianity so much and have taught that this
-
is all just about you and Jesus, come on that we become so
-
selfish with it that we don't do anything.
-
We don't do anything with this. Love that we've encountered.
-
You ought to be so jacked, excited to go share and pour out
-
his love on somebody else. That everybody you encounter,
-
they ought to see, wow, there's something about you, what is it?
-
And it they should be able to recognize your love just flowing
-
out of you. Hallelujah.
-
It says verse 21. This is very important when he's
-
talking to Believers here and he says this commandment we have
-
from him that the one who loves God should love his brother.
-
You know what he tells us? It's a commandment, it's not a
-
choice. Whether we could sit in service
-
and and have aught with somebody have something against somebody.
-
Not forgive somebody, come on, not be walking in love with
-
somebody. We don't have that Liberty and
-
we don't Have that choice? That is not a choice.
-
You have as a Believer. He says it's a command that we
-
are to love. So command that we're to love.
-
We're to love. No matter what.
-
No matter what. And that's pure love.
-
That's pure love. That's his love when we can love
-
no matter what. no matter what someone said about us, no matter
-
what someone has done to us, no matter what When we can still
-
love them. Come on.
-
So I want to title this message. The Royal law of love.
-
Yes, I'm using the word law. Because his Commandments were
-
simply what I don't have a problem with it.
-
I don't know why people get so uptight about legalistic law,
-
all this stuff, because the word of God is legal and binding.
-
It is his law. It's his law.
-
I didn't. I never had a problem with it.
-
I mean I never did I didn't know anything about the word of God
-
and I started reading it and just decided Well he said it, I
-
better do it and nobody had to tell me.
-
And I didn't feel bound. Right.
-
No, I felt liberated and free. Because I knew he loved me and
-
what he said was best for me. So James chapter 2 verse 8, this
-
is why I'm calling it. The Royal law of love because
-
James 2:8 calls it that and the new King James version, it says
-
if you really fulfill the Royal law.
-
According to scripture, you will love your neighbor as yourself
-
and you will do well. some of us aren't doing well, because we're
-
not loving one another We're not loving one another.
-
We have a fences with one another.
-
We have issues with one another and it usually starts, even if
-
you're married, usually you have in the marriage.
-
And that's something you got to really watch out with that.
-
You don't have fought with your sibling, not your sibling,
-
sorry, your spouse. You could have fought with your
-
sibling as well, right? So he says, if you really
-
fulfilled the Royal law, why am I calling it?
-
The Royal law? Because when you look up that
-
word, Royal it is literally basilic, which is the keep do.
-
The kingdom law of love. It's Royal.
-
It's the kingdom law of love. Amen.
-
And he says that if we are to operate in it, fully than we're
-
going to be ones that are going to love our neighbors as
-
ourselves. Okay, now I want to get into a
-
few. I want to have, I'm going to
-
have two points about this tonight, but I just want to
-
continue to read some scripture here.
-
Matthew 22, 36 through 40. It says this teacher, which is
-
the great commandment I am at and the law that Jesus said to
-
him this was them asking him. You shall love the Lord, your
-
God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your
-
mind, this is the first and great commandment.
-
And the second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as
-
yourself on these two Commandments, hang all the law
-
and the prophets. Okay.
-
All the these two Commandments hang on all All the laws and the
-
prophets, but then we see in John chapter 13 verses 34
-
through 35. It says, a nude, this is Jesus
-
speaking here. He says a new commandment.
-
I give to you again. He called it a commandment
-
because he knew people human nature.
-
He said, he knew the hearts of, man.
-
He knew human nature. He knew the hearts of man, that
-
they wouldn't just automatically love.
-
That they needed to be commanded to love and you still see people
-
have a hard time. Loving one another today.
-
Come on. So he commanded it to it and he
-
said, listen, he said a new commandment.
-
I give to you that you love one. Another as I have loved you that
-
you also love one another. Again, you are you're seeing
-
every one of these scriptures connected to other people.
-
To one another, to your neighbor, right?
-
And he said this, by this, all will know that you are my
-
disciples if you have love for one another.
-
So how is God, how are people going to know?
-
You're truly his disciples because you lay hands on people
-
and cast out demons and can prophesy and pray in tongues and
-
and you know all these things. because you can go out into the
-
streets and, you know, know The World's Gonna know, people are
-
going to know that, we're truly his disciples because we have
-
love for one. Another, we actually operate in
-
love people actually see us have things going on in our lives
-
that we have to deal with and forgive one another for And they
-
see. Wow, you were able to forgive
-
them, your marriage was able to be restored after your husband,
-
cheated on you, with five women, come on.
-
I bet somebody would take notice of that, kind of love.
-
What night? Wow, you were able to walk in
-
love with them and forgive them because they abused your child.
-
Wow, they stole your money and you're able to forgive them for
-
still in your whole bank account.
-
Not because you cast out a demon.
-
Because you were able to love and forgive somebody for
-
something they did to you. Right.
-
This is real. We are quiet it.
-
I know it's spring break. I'm thankful you're even here
-
you see see where everybody's at on spring break.
-
Hallelujah. So but Jesus said this is a new
-
commandment see. Jesus came and fulfilled the law
-
of love. He came and fulfilled it.
-
So now we aren't just supposed to love because y'all love
-
yourself hard sometimes. So thank God.
-
He came and fulfilled it and now we have a new commandment to
-
love as he loved because we don't love ourselves very well
-
sometimes. So how are we going to love our
-
neighbor? Like we love ourselves when a we
-
ain't doing too good with ourselves.
-
But see Jesus came and wrapped it all up.
-
Come on and fulfilled it. All he was the essence Jesus
-
brought Agape into the Earth. He brought it into the Earth.
-
He brought his love, the Father's Love.
-
He was the Manifest presence of Agape to the world.
-
He brought him into the world. And he said, I fulfilled it all
-
and now you can love like I loved.
-
That means when they beat me in the face, and, and plucked my
-
beard out and put thousands of stripes on my back and threw me
-
to the Wolves. So to speak.
-
Come on. That means I could still stand
-
up and say, father, what forgive them for, they know not what
-
they do, because I'm loving them and forgiving them.
-
So now, he lets us know that you now have a commandment to love
-
like him. And this is a higher form of
-
love. It's a higher standard of love.
-
Amen. And we can't do it outside of
-
him. We must have his love.
-
Because we can't do it outside of him.
-
We can't do it in and of ourselves.
-
We can't do it not being tapped into his love in our daily life
-
and abiding in this love, right? We know.
-
And this is how we know that we have his love in our hearts is
-
because he tells us in Romans 5 verse 5.
-
It says this hope does not disappoint because the love of
-
God has been poured out one translation shed shed abroad.
-
What in our hearts by the holy, Spirit who was given to us.
-
So the minute you got born again, guess what was the first
-
thing that showed up? And why you encountered him like
-
and had this piece in your life and that hole in your heart
-
filled and all the sin and all the guilt and all the
-
condemnation and everything you felt before he swooped in and
-
filled that Heart full of his love.
-
It was the first fruit. It was his love.
-
It was a god Bay, that was poured out in your heart and now
-
you can love like he loves you can forgive like he forgives,
-
come on. You can encounter any situation
-
and not fail. If you apply his love to your
-
life, if you apply his love. Of to your life outside of it.
-
We can't do it. First John, 3 1, through 3, says
-
this behold? What manner of love?
-
The father has bestowed upon us. That we should be called
-
children of God. Therefore, the world does not
-
know us, because it did not know him.
-
Beloved now, we are children of God and it has not yet been
-
revealed what we shall be. But we know that when he is
-
revealed we shall be like him for.
-
We shall see him as he is and everyone who has this hope in
-
him purifies himself just, as he is pure.
-
Now, I don't want to get over into that, but let's I want to
-
drop down to verse 16. Yeah, we have a responsibility
-
to keep our self purified. From the contaminations of this
-
world. It's our responsibility not
-
gods. Anyway, verse 16 of that First,
-
John 3 says this by this, we know, love because he laid down
-
his life for us. We also, what ought to lay down
-
our lives for our Brethren. How many of us?
-
Believers are laying down our lives.
-
Meaning sacrificing a little to go serve some, but one of our
-
brother, maybe you see somebody that needs help with something.
-
And instead of skew sitting there watching your Netflix show
-
you decide hey I'm going to go help them because they needed
-
help moving this or they needed help doing this and they ask for
-
help. So I'm going to go help him
-
instead of being selfish come on, right?
-
So this is what he's talking about.
-
Laying down your life, not dying for them, but self-sacrifice for
-
them, sacrificing yourself to be able to help some Someone else
-
in the kingdom of God. So it says, but whoever has the
-
world's good, see, he's letting us know and sees his brother in
-
need and shuts up his heart from him.
-
How does the love of God even abide in him?
-
Wow. How does the love of God abide
-
in him? My little children, let us not
-
love in word or in tongue, but in deed and truth.
-
That means we're going to have to do something to demonstrate,
-
love always demonstrated. He was a demonstration of his
-
love to humanity that he decided, you know what?
-
I'm going to send my son, come on.
-
I'm going to send my son wrapped in flesh to redeem mankind.
-
And then he goes on to say and by this we know that we are of
-
the truth and shall assure our hearts before him for if our
-
heart does not condemn us. God is greater than our heart
-
and knows all things beloved. If our heart does not condemn
-
us, we have confidence towards God and whatever we ask we
-
receive from him because we keep his Commandments.
-
What is this commandment talking about his love and to do those
-
things that are pleasing in his sight and this is his
-
Commandment that we should believe on the name of the son
-
of Jesus Christ and love what one another, there it is again,
-
and he gave Gave us. This commandment he gave us this
-
commandment. So his love was always bent to
-
affect someone else's life that you're around.
-
That you're around. Who is it that you're connected
-
with and his love ought to be affecting your world.
-
Your world, your your workplace, your job, the people you're
-
investing it all of these things, the love of God should
-
be flowing from you and everything that you're doing.
-
And the only thing you're motivated by is that love, would
-
be seen. Through your life.
-
So that they could be drawn and receive and be a reciprocal
-
precipitant of the love of God. Amen.
-
That's why we're doing it because we should be loving
-
people to do the things that we are doing.
-
Now, let me give you two points. The only way that we're going to
-
be able to walk in this love and keep ourselves.
-
This love growing in our hearts and keeping this love fresh in
-
our minds and in our hearts and in our daily lives is, we're
-
going to have to abide in his word.
-
If you have an issue with somebody, if you have something
-
going on in your heart, if you know, you need to forgive if,
-
you know, you still are not a person that's fully
-
understanding and recognizing the depths of what his love can
-
do in your life. You need to read first, John,
-
you need the, the book you need to read John the book.
-
You need to focus on those. Books because it's all about his
-
love and others until you get it so saturated with in your life.
-
Come on that. It becomes the reality of you,
-
walking it out. If there's people, you need to
-
forgive if their situations that took place in your past, if
-
there's things that happened in your life, whatever.
-
If you're still struggling with, you know, a spouse or a sibling
-
or a parent, you should be focused on this book John and
-
first John you should that should be something that your
-
daily meditating on. Listen, it don't just happen
-
just because you come to church guys.
-
It doesn't say active and Alive, unless it's daily, you making an
-
effort to put it in your heart. It won't happen, it won't
-
happen. So, outside of the word, it will
-
not produce anything in your life, but actually religiosity
-
and deception. Deception.
-
Being a hearer of the word but not deceiving yourselves,
-
deceiving yourselves, that, you're good with God.
-
Come on, when you're not, Okay, so we don't want deception to be
-
a part of our lives. So the only way we're going to
-
be able to walk in the god Kind of Love is if we continually
-
abide in his word. First John 5 1 through 4 says
-
this whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God,
-
and everyone who loves him, who begat also loves him, who is
-
begotten of him by this. We know that we love the
-
children of God when We love God and keep his Commandments for
-
this love. The love of God, that we keep
-
his Commandments and his Commandments are what not
-
burdensome. so he's letting us know that his Commandments don't
-
burden you down Like everybody thinks when they hear legalism
-
and and all, you know, you're preaching, the law and you're
-
talking about command. He just said his Commandments
-
are burdensome. Know, you have a wrong
-
perspective. He said, they wouldn't burden
-
you down, right? No.
-
It actually liberates and brings Freedom.
-
The Devil Wants. You bound and wants to lie to,
-
you. Keep you in religion, or keep
-
you bound to unforgiveness and not walking in love because he
-
can have a field day with your life and you'll never walk in
-
the purpose and plan. And fullness of God, so verse 4
-
says this, for whatever is born of God, overcomes the world and
-
this is the victory that overcomes the world.
-
Our faith. Amen.
-
Verse John first. John 2536 says this.
-
But whoever what keeps his word? Truly, the love of God is
-
perfected in him. Whoever keeps his word.
-
The love of God is perfected in. You the love of God is perfected
-
again. That word means matured.
-
The love of God. When you keep his word, the love
-
of God is being perfected in you.
-
It's maturing within you because you're keeping his word, you're
-
doing? What his word says your, you
-
need to his word, your daily meditating and his word, you're
-
living every day out his word in your life.
-
Come on, when I didn't know anything.
-
You know, the first thing I did know to do whatever the word
-
said. When I didn't know how to be led
-
by the spirit when I didn't, when I wasn't filled with the
-
Holy Ghost, come on, when I didn't know how Faith worked
-
when I didn't know all these things.
-
But what I did know is he said it, I believed it and just did
-
it because I know what I was doing before, what working.
-
So I was saying, well this must work So let me do it.
-
Didn't have a pastor, didn't have a mentor come on.
-
I said this before. I didn't have nobody taking me
-
along the side and having to have meetings with me on a daily
-
basis and all these things. No, I picked up the word and I
-
read the word that I've gotta forgive, and I've got a walk in
-
love and I've got us. Come on exercise by faith and
-
whatever the word said to do, if he says not drink because he
-
said no, drunker would inherit the kingdom of God guess what?
-
What I didn't do. If he said this wouldn't inherit
-
the kingdom of God, guess what? I decided, I, well, I don't want
-
to do that because I surely want to be inheriting the kingdom of
-
God. I mean, it doesn't take a brain
-
surgeon. It doesn't take a degree.
-
It doesn't take a doctorate. Come on.
-
No he said it's childlike Faith. Just simply believing what his
-
words said that's the first step and how many Christians don't
-
even do that. The first step of you growing
-
and maturing and learning who he is and walking and letting love
-
be developed in your life and letting the fruits of the spirit
-
operate in your life and, and doing all the things that the
-
word says to do, before we even knew who we are, come on, just
-
do the word because when you read the word, it's a mirror.
-
This is what you're becoming. This is what is a come on.
-
You are transforming into the image.
-
The washing of the watering of the word.
-
Hallelujah, that we need. And we're so, deficient of
-
reading the word, and I'm going to tell you two minutes on a
-
clip is not enough. You still need to pick up the
-
written word of God and open up your Bible and sit there and
-
read it. So that you're not distracted by
-
all the things that come through on your phone.
-
Or your iPad nothing will ever. You know, this is still the
-
number one selling book in the world.
-
Nothing will ever replace this? Nothing.
-
Hallelujah. So we need the word down in our
-
hearts, so that when things happen, man, it's easy for for
-
love to just flow. That's all right.
-
We're just going to love them and go on, forgive them, forgive
-
them. Father, they don't know what
-
they do, we need to have that heart and let it just roll off.
-
Just forgive them, they don't know what they do, even if they
-
do know what they're doing, God bless them.
-
Because then he Kohl's will be heaped upon their head.
-
I don't want coals on your head but you going to get them on
-
your head if you don't repent. Right.
-
You know, so we need to realize that we must be people of the
-
word and abiding in his word is. So he says, but whoever keeps
-
his word. Truly, the love of God is
-
perfected in him. Truly the love of God is
-
perfected in him by this. We know that we are in him, he
-
says he abides in him, ought himself also to walk just as he
-
walked. What how did he walk?
-
Forgive them for? Gave them.
-
Sorry, you don't have to be a doctorate to know what the word
-
says. Right, forgive them, let it go
-
just like he did. He forgave him and Let It Go.
-
Hallelujah. And went to the Cross because he
-
was on a mission to fulfill his purpose that the father had for
-
him. Amen.
-
So don't let things get you off your purpose and the plan that
-
God has for your life because it's all these little things
-
that are trying to destroy what God actually wants to do in your
-
life, all the little things that will cause you to get distracted
-
and to get off if you don't stay focused on the word John 15:9
-
through 17 says this as the father loved me I also loved you
-
abide. Died in my love.
-
Abide in my love. How do you abide in his love?
-
You abide in the word? You stay in as word, you allow
-
the holy spirit in his presence. Come on to minister to you.
-
As you're reading the word staying in a constant fellowship
-
with him. Staying in a position of your
-
heart, open to receive as you're sitting up under the word as
-
you're hearing the word always, your heart should be open to
-
want to receive what God is saying.
-
Right. So he says, I also loved you
-
abide in my love. If you have keep my
-
Commandments, you will abide in my love.
-
Just as I have kept my father's Commandments and abide in his
-
love, these things I have spoken to you that my joy would remain
-
in you and that your joy may be full.
-
Some people's Joy is just a lack of them abiding in the word and
-
spending time in their love relationship with the Lord.
-
You know, he warns us in Revelations, right?
-
That in the last days, you could what lose your first?
-
That you could walk away from your first.
-
You can, you can lose your first love.
-
I remember years ago, when pastor and I got married, this
-
September will be 32 years and you know, one thing his mother
-
said to us or to him. Earl Wayne, you're going to have
-
to just fall in, love with Marcy over and over, and over again.
-
That's what we should be doing with Jesus falling in love with
-
him over and over and over again.
-
That means when you don't feel nothing, you better get stirred
-
back up to fall back in love with him.
-
Remember what he's done for you. Remember where you got got?
-
Brought out of. Remember, come on.
-
All the things he's done for you don't ever forget it, keep it
-
stirred up in your heart. Same thing you need to do when
-
you're married, you better because those days that you
-
don't feel, Like love, and when they say something wrong, or
-
they act of crazy way and you want to knock their head off or
-
whatever the case may be, what are you going to have to do stir
-
up that love and remember, oh yeah, I love him.
-
Let me fall back in love, right? You gotta do it.
-
You gotta do it. It's the same thing with our
-
relationship with the Lord but how much how many of us, you
-
know, get so focused on doing that in the natural that we
-
aren't even taken time to do that.
-
Spiritually with the father. It's almost like that takes pre.
-
Eminent what's that word precedent?
-
Over your relationship with the father and I can tell you one
-
thing that ain't never going to work.
-
If that ain't right. Never going to work.
-
If this isn't right and your love relationship with the
-
father isn't, right? Then this is going to be
-
mediocre and even at the expense of could fail, Because God
-
should be the core in the center of your relationship, your
-
marriage. Amen.
-
So, we've got to keep ourselves stirred up in the love of God.
-
And the way we do that is staying in his word Abiding.
-
And his word continually feeding on his word.
-
Amen. Now what scripture did.
-
I was I own Nine. Yeah, okay.
-
Verse 11. I guess these things I have
-
spoken to you, that your joy May remain in you and that your joy
-
would be full. This is my commandment that you
-
love one. Another as I have loved you do
-
you see every one of these scriptures that I have read to
-
you tonight have are in direct connection with others.
-
It was always about others. It was is not just about you.
-
And your love towards the father.
-
He always wanted this love because again, love cannot be
-
contained. And if his love is really in
-
your heart and is really full that you will have no problem
-
pouring that love out onto other people, you will have no problem
-
allowing his love to flow through your life, to be able to
-
demonstrate it in serving one another and sharing with one
-
another in giving to one another.
-
And helping one another. It's all part of that love at
-
work within a Believers life. And connecting with one another,
-
how many people don't even have a good relationship with anybody
-
else? You got to be around people for
-
eternity and if you can't hobnob with people in your own body or
-
spend time with other believers or spend time with somebody
-
else. Come on, there is a problem
-
because we were never meant to be isolated.
-
We were never meant to be people.
-
On an island, just you and God, God was always intentional.
-
That we were to be a family that he wanted a family that we were
-
be. We were to be a community that
-
we were to be connected to other people.
-
Amen. And it's not just about you and
-
your little household us for, and no more.
-
Right. No, it was always about you,
-
pouring out your life into other people and connecting to other
-
people. It wasn't about isolation.
-
Oh well I'm just an introvert and I don't like all these
-
things you know fellowships and listen to me.
-
I didn't like it. I didn't want anything to do
-
with women because they're nasty.
-
Just tell the truth. All the drama, all the cat
-
fighting all the backbiting. All the gossip.
-
You know, he directly talks to women about gossip in the word,
-
he don't talk to the men now. They, I know a few but but he
-
don't, he don't, he don't come make the gossip connection to
-
men in the scripture. He makes the gossip connection
-
to women being idle. Busybodies.
-
Gossips. Right.
-
So I didn't want nothing to do with y'all.
-
Just joking. Not y'all.
-
Y'all are awesome. but, But his love compels me.
-
I must be connected. Two others.
-
Right? So I have to get over myself.
-
That's all. That's about.
-
Just get over yourself. Say get over yourself.
-
Just get over yourself. Come on.
-
SO and in these days with everything going on in the
-
world, this is very important and because of covid, a lot of
-
people got, shut up, come on in their homes, and now don't even
-
come back to church to fellowship or to be around
-
people that are like-minded. I mean I had we've had several
-
of them said we never going back to church, be around people.
-
That's a problem because you think you a Believer and going
-
to be like what you going to be somewhere on the sweet.
-
Bye and bye. On the back of the back, 40 up
-
in heaven, or on the New Jerusalem with nobody around.
-
I mean, it's not going to happen, we're always going to
-
have people around us. We're always going to have
-
people around us. So we need to learn how to have
-
healthy connections and relationships with people.
-
We were meant to be a part of one.
-
Another, the Bible tells us in Corinthians, the hand, can't
-
tell the foot. I don't need you.
-
He said, the body is all connected.
-
I placed you in the body, where it pleases me, you know, we all
-
are to be connected and bring a joint Supply and bring an
-
Nourishment to one another. Now, you know some of us has got
-
to get more nourishing than others.
-
Right. But we're all to be connected,
-
we're all to be a part of one another.
-
We're all to be person that's going to allow God's love to
-
flow out of us and function and the way we're going to do that.
-
Now, number two, I've been going on enough.
-
Number two, we're going to have to walk by the spirit.
-
We're going to have to walk by the spirit.
-
If we're going to allow God's love to grow within our hearts
-
and mature within our hearts and we're going to, you know, walk
-
out this love and and demonstrate it to the world.
-
And to Believers then we're going to have to walk by the
-
spirit because again outside of the word, we can't do it outside
-
of God, we can't do it because we needed his love shed abroad
-
in our heart. But outside of walking in the
-
spirit, we're not going to be able to do it because if We try
-
to walk by the flesh, then we're just going to get hurt.
-
We're going to get hurt if we try to walk by the flesh.
-
And it's easy for believers to do things in the flesh.
-
Do you know, Pete Believers have been hurt thinking?
-
They were walking and love with people.
-
That actually they should have cut off because they didn't have
-
a right definition of love and they wouldn't have been hurt.
-
They wouldn't have been hurt if they actually wasn't doing that
-
in the flesh, and they were being led by the spirit because
-
when you're hurt, come on. You can see that there's times
-
that you've done thing in the flesh.
-
But now, I understand, there are times you get hurt and
-
devastated when you do things by the spirit and you are being led
-
by the spirit, there are ways you can get hurt but you know
-
what that hurt? Does it hurt like the other
-
hurt? Because that hurt you are
-
wrapped up in the love of God with and it easily just to the
-
Forgiveness can be easily there to flow.
-
When you've done it by the spirit.
-
Right? When you've done it by the
-
spirit. So, there's devastations that
-
happen in our lives. When we think we're walking in
-
love, or doing things, and we end up doing it in the flesh.
-
So it's very important that we walk by the spirit.
-
Let's look at this in Galatians. Chapter 5 actually.
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
I wanted to read the whole book of Galatians but I refrained
-
because I saw something in the book of Galatians chapter 5 that
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
I had not seen before it, that something 32 years, reading the
-
word, but here's another, another layer that you can see I
-
always focused on Galatians chapter 5 about the fruits of
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
the spirit. But actually, the whole context
-
of Galatians chapter 5 is talking about the love of God.
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
Because Galatians chapter 5 begins to talk about faith.
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
Don't work outside of love. And the only way you can do it
-
is walking by the spirit. So then he goes on and lets us
-
know. Let's look at a few scriptures
-
though. It says, in Galatians chapter 5,
Galatians 5 chapter mention
-
I want to read 13 through 26. So I saved you a little.
-
It says for we were called to Freedom.
-
Brethren. Only do not turn your freedom
-
into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve.
-
For the whole law is fulfilled. See this whole book is talking
-
about love. And I never saw it in this
-
context before so the whole law is fulfilled in one word.
-
In this statement you shall love your neighbor as your self.
-
Okay. I got one scripture to that came
-
to me as I was driving here tonight so I don't have it on my
-
notes but I'm going to pull it up and read.
-
But if you bite and devour one another look at this, this is
-
what the context he's talking about.
-
If you buy and devour one, another take care that you are
-
not consumed by one another, but I say walk by the spirit and you
-
will not carry out the desires of the flesh.
-
What's the desire of the flesh that you're going to bite and
-
devour somebody? For something, they did.
-
And they need to hear a piece of your mind.
-
Right. So that's the desire of your
-
flesh to want to do that. To want to go punch somebody in
-
the face. To want to go beat the fire out
-
of somebody to want to go pull somebody's hair out, right?
-
That's what girls do. They get the hair?
-
Oh, I know. I was in a few cat fights in
-
school. I can't remember that.
-
Girl, I got in a fight with what her name was.
-
I was trying to think of it. I think it was Rolanda.
-
It was right here at Murray middle.
-
Y'all don't know. I have, I have a past here.
-
Cuz I had a mouth on me and my mama always said my mouth was
-
going to get me in trouble but you know I have these Rolanda
-
that was her name, she popped off and was being smart mouth to
-
me and I popped off back in the teacher, had stepped out of the
-
room and she came over there and hauled off and slap me right
-
across the face. So we got in a little tussle So
-
I was really just shocked that she went slap me, you know.
-
Anyway we got in a fight but it wasn't very much because the
-
teacher walked right back in the room, right, as she went out the
-
door, you know, but it was enough to happen, right?
-
Then anyway. And then I got in another fight
-
in the third grade. I don't think I've ever shared
-
this with y'all. Learn something new about me all
-
the time. so, in the third grade, At Lodi Elementary lawdy
-
lawdy, lawdy Elementary. It was right near Lodi was where
-
the Florida is still there. Florida State Penitentiary,
-
right. Anyway, so I went to lawdy
-
Elementary School, I was in the third grade and you know, some
-
boy some kid. I was sitting there minding my
-
own business and got up. Well, he walked by and like, you
-
know, touch my butt, you know how them boys do, try to rub my
-
butt and I hauled off and turn around and not you'll he hauled
-
off and turn around and not me straight in the face, busted my
-
lip. I got a little scar here.
-
Well, my stepdad wasn't real happy about that.
-
He knew whose Daddy he has, who his daddy was and went to his
-
house showed up, I thought, oh Lord, there's going to be a
-
murderer, I don't know. Because he was that kind of set
-
bad anyway. Yeah, that's my fight stories.
-
Had two of them. Flesh.
-
Yes, Nothing But The Flash. So help us God.
-
Oh I crack myself up. The things I have to say.
-
I don't look like the fighting time.
-
Do I? Oh hallelujah.
-
Thank the Lord! I told y'all thank the Lord.
-
I'm Sanctified. Thank you.
-
Jesus. So he says don't carry out, the
-
desires of the flesh for the flesh sets itself.
-
What flesh sets its desires against the spirit and the
-
spirit against the flesh, for those who are in opposition to
-
one another so that you may not do the things that you please,
-
but if you are led by the spirit, you are not under the
-
law. Now, the Deeds of the flesh are
-
evident which are immorality impurity.
-
Sensuality. See you read all these things
-
and just simply read the word and say, I don't want nothing to
-
do with this. Impurity sensuality adultery
-
idolatry, sorcery enmity, Strife jealousy, outbursts of anger
-
disputes dissensions factions envying, drunkenness, carousing,
-
and these, and then he goes on to say and things like these,
-
just things like these. There's more way more than just
-
these things listed, right? All the ways that the enemy has
-
created sin today, things like these tick-tock Snapchat
-
texting, all these things, like these things like these you get
-
it okay because I want to say just because it doesn't list, it
-
doesn't mean it's not implied. I've had people say oh it's
-
never said anything about not drinking it.
-
Oh yeah has multiple scriptures and hard liquor in Proverbs but
-
you still got people walking around acting like they.
-
Going to do it and inherit some things that just that messes me
-
up. I don't want to be anything
-
near. What won't inherit, right?
-
So, he says, things like these of which I forewarn you just, as
-
I have formed, warned you that those who practice, such things
-
will not inherit the kingdom of God, but verse 22.
-
So this is where I've always gone to Galatians about walking
-
by the spirit and talking about the fruits of the spirit that's
-
been put in our life. So we already recognize that
-
Romans 5:5, said that the first fruit that shows up in our
-
hearts is love and it's the first thing he list here.
-
The fruits of the spirit. So the fruits of the spirit is,
-
what? Love, joy, peace patience,
-
kindness goodness, faithfulness, gentleness self-control and
-
against such things. There is no law.
-
Now, those who belong to Christ, Jesus, our to crucify, the flesh
-
with its desires and passions. But if we live by the spirit,
-
let us also walk by the spirit. Let us not become boastful,
-
challenging one, another and envying, one another Oh,
-
Hallelujah. So if we are going to allow
-
God's word love to operate in our life, we must tap into the
-
fruits that's been giving us, right.
-
So when you want to punch somebody in the face you have a
-
fruit that's called not just love.
-
But what self-control when you want to have an outburst of
-
anger? You have a fruit now, that's
-
called what Self-control and peace.
-
Peace, patience, instead of responding quickly with an
-
outburst. Why don't you take a step back
-
and say no, I've got patients, I'm not gonna respond.
-
And then the Holy Ghost can actually start talking to you to
-
lead you and how you can respond by the spirit and not by the
-
flesh. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. So it's very important that we
-
recognize and I'm closing now. Oh, I said I was going to read
-
this other scripture. I wanted to read it.
-
In Romans 13, Romans 13. Verse is 8 through 10.
-
Says this. Oh, nothing to anyone except to
-
love one another. For he who loves his neighbor,
-
has fulfilled the law. For this shall not.
-
You should not commit adultery. You should not murder.
-
You shall not steal, you shall not covet.
-
And if there is any other commandment, it will be summed
-
up. In this saying, you shall love
-
your neighbor as yourself. Love does no wrong to your
-
neighbor. Therefore, love is the
-
Fulfillment of the law. Hallelujah!
-
Love is the Fulfillment of the law.
-
So, as we allow a god, A to operate in our life every day on
-
a daily basis thinking about what am I motivated by what what
-
is it that compelling me to do the things?
-
I'm doing to say the things, I'm saying to operate the way that
-
I'm operating, you must say, you know what, I must ask myself, is
-
this a posture of love? Is this coming from love?
-
Or is this coming from a, a fleshly desire, even right?
-
What is this coming from? And we have to recognize,
-
listen, guys, that in the day that we're living.
-
We've, we really need to get serious.
-
About the love of God. We really need to get serious
-
about it. Loving him and loving others and
-
walking in a god, Baal of walking by the spirit, walking
-
by the word and not fulfilling the desires of the Flesh and
-
loving one, another So that the world truly can't see, man.
-
This group of people really love each other man, they're always
-
helping each other out whenever something's going on in
-
somebody's life they're always there to help.
-
This is how the world's going to see the true love of God.
-
The true essence of who he is that we can forgive people that,
-
we don't Harbor ill feelings, that we let things go easily
-
people, people will see this and they'll recognize that, you know
-
what, they really love one another.
-
They really function like God, wouldn't that be something if we
-
could see everybody rising up into The agape love and walking
-
it out every day and knowing that this is my motivation, the
-
love of God is what motivates me.
-
This is why I do what I do. Right.
-
And you know what the Bible says that love never fails.
-
So we could be assured that if we are applying his love to our
-
life and it's being seen and demonstrated to others, then,
-
you know what, whatever it is whatever's going on.
-
It's not going to fail because his love doesn't fail when I
-
apply it to the situation that it needed.
