  1. Thanks for checking out the anchor Faith.

  2. Message podcast from st. Augustine Florida.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Well we've been talking about

  4. the love of God. Amen, the Royal law of love and

  5. we actually read that from the scripture out of James chapter

    James 2 chapter mention

  6. 2, right? And Verse 8, where is my

  7. scripture? I'm not even seeing it.

  8. Do we have it up on the screen from last week?

  9. Joshua, not even seeing it in my nose.

  10. Same nose, here we go. If however, you are fulfilling

  11. the Royal law and we talked about this, the Royal law

  12. literally means Royal or Kingdom law, when you look it up in the

  13. Greek, according to scripture, you shall love your neighbor as

  14. yourself and you will be doing what?

  15. Well, amen. And we talked about the fact

  16. that everything we do as Believers should be motivated.

  17. And by the love of God, that's been now shed abroad in our

  18. hearts, as children of God. Amen.

  19. Hallelujah. That's another thing.

  20. We ought to be thankful about that.

  21. We have his love in our hearts and we don't have come on Cold,

  22. Heart evil heart, a wicked heart, but we have a heart full

  23. of love from him. Amen.

  24. And we started talking about the fact that everywhere you see in

  25. Scripture that John or Earth through the Book of John and

  26. other Scriptures. It talking about the love of

  27. God, it was always in connection with one another.

  28. The love of God was not just meant for you, it was for meant

  29. for others because you now are connected to a Fant the family

  30. of God, right? And so what we do now is

  31. impacting other people's lives for the kingdom of God.

  32. And so, it's very important that we recognize that aspect of the

  33. The love of God. It wasn't just about you.

  34. It was about you getting into a place in his kingdom and then,

  35. allowing what God does in you through his love to come and

  36. operate and flow through you into other people's lives.

  37. Amen. And it's so important that we

  38. keep that in remembrance, and then last week, we talked about

  39. the fact, well, how do we Apply biblical love to our everyday

  40. life. Amen.

  41. Biblical love, not the way. Your opinion on how you're going

  42. to love somebody in the body of Christ, but what does his

  43. scripture actually say to us about loving others, right?

  44. And so we looked at that last week and realized that We must

  45. appropriate the love of God and making sure that our motive is

  46. pure. We are to also forgive,

  47. remember, that walking and forgiving people, freely, and

  48. having a heart ready to forgive. Amen.

  49. That should be our motive as Believers.

  50. Now that we are in the kingdom of God, is that we actually, Ali

  51. are motivated to want to get things right with other

  52. believers. In the body of Christ.

  53. That we want to make sure that we are getting things right.

  54. And not allowing unforgiveness to happen in our hearts, right?

  55. I'm trying to find my notes. I feel like they've all

  56. disappeared. Oh, here we go.

  57. We weren't to take revenge ourselves, right?

  58. But that we were to forgive now we ended on this scripture out

  59. of Asians chapter 4 and verse 22, through 32 and I read it out

  60. of the Amplified and recognizing that just because God's love is

  61. in, you doesn't mean that it is going to work.

  62. He's not going to make it work. Who's, who's responsible to make

  63. love work in our life? We are.

  64. We are we are the ones that make a decision that I'm going to

  65. activate this. Love that God put in my heart,

  66. and I am actually going to apply it and do what his scripture

  67. says for me to do, and I am the one responsible for it, love his

  68. love, can lay dormant in your heart.

  69. It can lay there. Dormant not activated.

  70. You've got the seed of love his love.

  71. Now, in your heart and we are the ones that have to work.

  72. The soil of our heart, to produce the fruit of love in our

  73. life, right? So we have to do it.

  74. He can't make us love anyone. He can't make us do anything.

  75. We have to make a decision to allow This.

  76. Love that he's given us to produce in our life.

  77. And the way that we do, Do that is, by doing the word or doing

  78. the scripture that we hear him say to do which we read last

  79. week. He says, love your bless your

  80. enemies and what do good to them that mistreat you that's the way

  81. he says that we are to love, right?

  82. And so we are the ones that are supposed to put love into

  83. practice. In our life.

  84. But out of Ephesians chapter 4 and verse 22 through 32.

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  85. He said this I'm going to read it out of the Amplified again,

  86. it says strip yourself of your former nature, put off and

  87. disregard your old, renew unrenewed self, which

  88. characterized your previous manner of life and becomes

  89. corrupt through the lust and the desires that spring from

  90. delusion and Constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind,

  91. having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude, and put on

  92. the new nature. So who has to put on the new

  93. nature? We do God's already done

  94. everything for us but yet we still have to take the

  95. responsibility to put it on in our life every day to walk it

  96. out to walk by the spirit and not by this.

  97. Leche, right? So he's letting us know.

  98. Listen we've got to put it on, put on the new nature, the

  99. regenerate itself created in God's image Godlike.

  100. In true righteousness. Hallelujah.

  101. And Holiness there for rejecting, all falsity, and be

  102. done. Now with it.

  103. Let everyone expressed the truth with his neighbor for we are all

  104. parts of one body and members of one another.

  105. When angry do not sin, do not ever.

  106. Let your wrath your Yeah, that word.

  107. Exasperation thank you. I just had to sit and think

  108. about it. A minute, your Fury, our

  109. indignation last until the sun goes down.

  110. Why we don't want to leave room or a foothold for the devil?

  111. Well, I thought the devil could mess with somebody that's born

  112. again. I've heard that before but we

  113. can give him my open door or a foothold still in our life, if

  114. we don't make a decision to do what his word says to do.

  115. Amen. So we have to make a decision to

  116. close every door, foothold or opportunity and not give it to

  117. him. He says This, let the thief

  118. steal, no more. Quit letting him steal your joy.

  119. Quit letting him steal. Peace out of your home.

  120. Quit letting all of these things, happen, when you don't

  121. have to, but if you don't shut the door on the evil one, or

  122. shut the door on things that keep it open, you're going to

  123. continue to have chaos in your home, even though.

  124. No, you're supposed to have heaven on Earth.

  125. Right? And we talked about ways that we

  126. can still allow the flesh to dominate us, right with anger

  127. responding and anger, responding.

  128. Rudely responding in all kinds of fleshly carnal behaviors.

  129. If we have to make a decision that we're not going to allow

  130. those things to rule in our lives anymore, and understand

  131. that. If we allow them to rule in our

  132. lives, we're opening the door. Why?

  133. Wide open back, open to the enemy to have full access again

  134. to kill, steal, and destroy your life.

  135. Even though you're a child of God, Even though and that's why

  136. you see people still have chaotic lives at even though

  137. they're born again because they never dominate or crucify, the

  138. Flesh and it in responses of how we respond in situations.

  139. But if we don't choose to respond by the spirit, then what

  140. are we doing? We're responding by the Flesh

  141. and we're giving the devil access again or a foothold.

  142. Hold back in our life. When the door should already be

  143. shut. Shut the front door.

  144. Come on. I get tired of seeing the people

  145. just give the enemy full access continually in their life when

  146. they are above it. When he is supposed to be under

  147. our feet, when we're supposed to be raining above these things.

  148. Right. Hallelujah.

  149. So he says quit. Let the thief still no more but

  150. rather let him be industrious. Making an honest living with

  151. his. On hand so that he may be able

  152. to give to those in need. Let no foul or polluting

  153. language evil word, unwholesome worthless talk ever come out of

  154. your mouth say ever. So you don't have a right in the

  155. midst of your argument, with your spouse, to run him down and

  156. dog, him out or vice versa. Don't let it come out of your

  157. mouth who's in charge of that? We are we are now the Holy Ghost

  158. will help you if you ask he'll help you.

  159. If you ask him when you get in a situation I said this story

  160. before my mouth got me in a lot of trouble, right?

  161. And so when we first got married, I would just say what I

  162. thought all the time and whatever came out of my mouth,

  163. came out of my mouth until the Holy Ghost.

  164. Day rebuked me for it and said, you need to shut your mouth.

  165. Shut your mouth. I'm washing dishes, minding my

  166. own business. you know, and he said something and I said

  167. something back, you know, because we know what to say, we

  168. know those buttons to push Come on.

  169. And and so, I heard him say, I heard the Holy Ghost on the

  170. inside. Say, shut your mouth.

  171. Shut your mouth. So when he said that I have now

  172. a decision to make, right? Am I going to allow the Holy

  173. Ghost to help me in this situation?

  174. Learn how to control my tongue? Or am I just going to ignore

  175. that suggestion? Right.

  176. So you know what I chose to do? I said, okay, well, holy ghost.

  177. You help me. Keep my mouth shut.

  178. So what do you hear the term? Bite your tongue.

  179. So I'm going to sit there and learn how to bite my tongue.

  180. And as you begin to yield to that, you become more proficient

  181. in it. If you choose not to then you're

  182. just going to have the continual cycle, right?

  183. Because the goal is that you become a practicer of what

  184. you're hearing through scripture, where we know, We

  185. ought to be respecting our husband.

  186. Right? That he's the lead of the home,

  187. right? Well, I was never taught that

  188. growing up. And I had issues right there was

  189. some issues there, but I had to learn how to yield to the Holy

  190. Ghost and ask him to help me bite my tongue.

  191. The next time, it was to happen. Amen.

  192. And so then you become proficient in practicing what

  193. you're hearing and doing what you heard the Holy Ghost to do

  194. until you realize. Yeah.

  195. Okay. This really won't go so bad if I

  196. just Just keep my mouth shut or if I learn how to communicate in

  197. a proper way. Right?

  198. When you learn how to be able to communicate properly instead of

  199. most communication is in defense and response.

  200. Instead of listening. Learning evaluating being, what

  201. quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to write.

  202. So we have to learn these things, right?

  203. So he says, don't let it come out of your mouth but only such

  204. speech as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of

  205. others. So how is what I'm getting ready

  206. to say? Say going to help someone else

  207. spiritually progress. Actually.

  208. In whatever it is that they're dealing with.

  209. We've got to think about that, right?

  210. Because if our heart is pure of love and we are only there to

  211. see the best in others and help bring out the best in others

  212. than we are going to learn how to communicate in a way that

  213. would help their spiritual progress as much as it's going

  214. to help your spiritual progress. Right?

  215. Because that's the goal of someone that is truly a person

  216. as a Believer. That's loving others.

  217. We're talking about God's love Agape.

  218. How is this going to help you and how is this going to help

  219. me? Spiritually progress in our

  220. relationship. See that because remember it

  221. wasn't just all about us. So this is really not where I'm

  222. wanting to go but I'm just breaking down these things as we

  223. come along. It says this as it is fitting to

  224. the need and the occasion that it may be a blessing and give

  225. Grace God's favor. To those who hear it, do not

  226. grieve the holy spirit of God. Do not offend or vac source.

  227. Sadden him. How will we do that?

  228. If we don't do what the scripture before that is saying

  229. we're going to offend the Holy Ghost.

  230. We're going to grieve the Holy Ghost when we don't allow the

  231. Holy Spirit to rule our hearts we will offend him.

  232. He's trying to help us and we're saying oh I don't receive that

  233. unction. Oh I don't receive that whatever

  234. it may be. We can offending, we can Satin

  235. him by whom you were sealed, Mark and branded as God's Own

  236. secured for the day of redemption of 50, Deliverance,

  237. through Christ from Evil and the consequences of sin.

  238. This is where I really want to focus on.

  239. Okay, let all bitterness and indignation and wrath passion,

  240. rage, bad temper and resentment anger and animosity and

  241. quarreling brawling. Mr. Contention slander,

  242. evil-speaking abusive and blastmon.

  243. From its language be banished from you with all malice, spite

  244. ill will or baseness of any kind and become useful and helpful

  245. and kind to one another tender-hearted compassionate

  246. understanding loving hearted Wow, there's a lot here but this

  247. is where we ended last week. Forgiving one another readily

  248. and freely as God in Christ. Forgave you how many times have

  249. you blown it? And you've had to ask God to

  250. forgive you, and Aren't you thankful that he's ready to

  251. forgive you? At that moment that you asked,

  252. he's ready, come on. He's ready to forgive you

  253. immediately freely. So when it comes to us in our

  254. relationships with one another Believers in Christ, husbands

  255. and wives, brothers and sisters in the natural, whatever mothers

  256. and daughters and, and mother-in-law's and

  257. daughter-in-laws, are we with the motive of God's heart,

  258. purely wanting to see the best in these situations that we

  259. encounter with one another? Are we a person that rattly

  260. ready to forgive come on and move on to a spiritual progress

  261. of one. Another this is important

  262. because he lets us know. We must forgive and I'm going to

  263. say this. And we said this last week, if

  264. we don't forgive it will turn into a root of bitterness and

  265. this is what I want to talk about tonight. which is that

  266. that door or that foothold in your life that the devil still

  267. owns you, even though God is supposed to own you, He will

  268. have you Bound by bitterness and unforgiveness.

  269. If you choose not to have a pure heart of Agape to say, I am

  270. always like my father ready and willing to freely.

  271. Forgive if there's repentance and I'm always ready and freely

  272. to do, whatever it can be to reconcile the situation.

  273. This is the heart of the father, this is the Royal law of love.

  274. And when we start doing that, having the heart of the father,

  275. Right, when we start doing that, when we start actually applying

  276. forgiveness in areas and say, listen, I forgive you, I'm going

  277. to let it go, but we need to get a solution for this.

  278. There needs to be change. I'm not talking about habitual.

  279. I mean, you know, you can't cover every scenario when you're

  280. teaching on a subject. You just can't do it.

  281. That's why it's so important. You have a church body and come

  282. on a regular basis, because you'll hear a certain teaching

  283. on love. But then three years later, come

  284. from another angle and that was what you needed that Pete's,

  285. that was missing. You can't cover everything

  286. entirely. That's why church is so

  287. important that you're continually coming and hearing

  288. and sitting up underneath the word because there's so many

  289. things, so many spectrums of Love or Whatever any subject,

  290. you just can't cover it all in all details and all scenarios

  291. and all situations just can't do it right?

  292. So we have to be people that recognize if we choose not to

  293. have the heart of the father and forgive then, it's going to be a

  294. danger to us. It's going to be a danger to us.

  295. Okay, let's go and Matthew. Chapter 6, Matthew chapter 6

Matthew 6 chapter mention Matthew 6:14–15

  296. verses 14 through 15, it says this.

  297. And if you forgive others for their Tres grip, transgressions

  298. your heavenly father will also forgive you Okay.

  299. That's an if and a conditional statement, we've already talked

  300. about some conditional things of love.

  301. Haven't we? So he says, if you forgive

  302. others for their transgressions, your heavenly father will also

  303. forgive you. Well, I thought I've already I

  304. was already forgiven of everything.

  305. But this isn't connection to others again.

  306. What did we talk about? Love is always in connection to

  307. others and he's saying, listen, if you don't forgive others than

  308. that, forgiveness is not going to be there for you.

  309. But yet we all want it, don't we?

  310. But yet we choose to withhold it from people.

  311. That's done us wrong. We hold grudges, we hold

  312. offenses. Come on, we still have anger

  313. issues all kinds of things. And we wonder why we don't see

  314. fullness in our life when you come to church and you see and

  315. hear all the things that God wants to do for your life and

  316. all the promises that he has for you.

  317. And you wonder why you don't see it operating completely and

  318. fully in your life. As I said, go back to the mode

  319. of of the heart. Go back to the motive of love

  320. which is the foundation of the kingdom of God.

  321. What's your love walk? Look like and it's not just what

  322. you think it is. It again has to align itself

  323. with what he said. Love looks like, love is bless

  324. your enemies. Love is do to others as you

  325. would have them do to you. Love is love them.

  326. Like, I Christ have loved you. Well, did he forgive you?

  327. Then who are we to think that we could withhold?

  328. Forgiveness to other people and it not affect our lives.

  329. And we go in circles wondering why we're not seeing things

  330. happen in our life because your faith is not working because it

  331. will only work by Okay, so you can speak to those mountains all

  332. day long, but you've got unforgiveness in your heart and

  333. those mountains are not going to move and you're going to go

  334. around them for 40 years. See what I'm saying.

  335. So we have the responsibility to forgive others, then your

  336. heavenly father will forgive you, right?

  337. Actually, I want to go to John chapter 20 and John 20:23.

John 20 chapter mention John 20:23

  338. It reads this, if you forgive the sins of any, their sins have

  339. been forgiven them, but if you retain the sins of any, they

  340. have been retained. You can actually retain the very

  341. sin that you choose, not to forgive that has been done to

  342. you. Why?

  343. Because it becomes that Bitterroot within you and the

  344. very thing that you hated that was done to you becomes you and

  345. you begin to do it. So, we must be people that are

  346. readily to forgive. And to freely forgive because we

  347. do not want to have sins that have happened in the past things

  348. that have taken place in our lives that we could choose to be

  349. victims. And hold on, come on, hold on.

  350. You say out of one side of your mouth, you forgive them, but you

  351. hold on. And the very thing that you hate

  352. you will produce, you will become that, bitterness will

  353. turn that bit it. We're going to read it the

  354. Bitterroot A Bitter Root will only produce bitter fruit.

  355. A Bitter Root. This is what needs to be on my

  356. quote, a Bitter Root will produce can only produce bitter

  357. fruit. Can only produce bitter fruit.

  358. Okay. So it's very important that we

  359. recognize that we do not want to retain the sins of others.

  360. We don't want to hold on to these things.

  361. We want to be people that freely forgive and let it go, right?

  362. Because the actually, when you look up that word retain means

  363. it will take hold of you possession of you actually, when

  364. you read it in the Greek, It will take hold of you and

  365. possess you so to speak. Now I'm not talking about it,

  366. you know, you're not possessed by a devil know, you're

  367. possessed by a root of bitterness that you've chosen to

  368. keep within and not release and forgive and let go.

  369. It took hold of you took hold of you.

  370. That's what that word retain means.

  371. So it's very important. Now, I was going to talk about

  372. Stephen and Jesus, because they are very there.

  373. They represent how they said forgive them.

  374. Father, forgive them, right? Stephen was being stoned.

  375. And right before he looked up, and saw the saw Jesus, what

  376. happened? He said, forgive them.

  377. Don't hold their sins against them.

  378. Right? Jesus standing on the cross,

  379. forgive them. Father, for they know what,

  380. what, what not they do, right? Okay.

  381. I'm not going to read those scriptures.

  382. But you know what? I am reference of two accounts

  383. that we see that. They let it go, right?

  384. Let it go right? So unforgiveness leads to

  385. bitterness Colossians 3:12 through 15.

    Colossians 3:12–15

  386. So as those who have become or have been chosen of God, Holy

  387. and beloved put on a heart of compassion.

  388. Kindness humility gentleness and patience bearing with one

  389. another and what forgiving each other Whoever has a complaint

  390. against anyone. Wow just up complaint, just

  391. forgive them. I mean there's people plenty of

  392. people that complain about me, I just forgive them.

  393. I don't care because I love them and I'm going to choose not to

  394. come on, allow? Wow, that to affect my life

  395. because I've learned that I can love from God's heart and still

  396. love them. It's not that.

  397. I don't I don't care about that person.

  398. I just don't care about the complaint.

  399. I'm going to choose to forgive them.

  400. I'm going to choose to let it go and love them anyway, right?

  401. And he tells us that we should do that.

  402. Just as the Lord forgave you again in recognition that if you

  403. want him to forgive you you need to forgive others just like he

  404. forgave you, right? And it says this beyond all

  405. things put on love which is the perfect Bond.

  406. Of unity. You want to know why you have

  407. Discord in your house? Because there is not love.

  408. Being practiced the way, he said it should be practiced because

  409. if his love Agape is actually being applied in your marriage

  410. and in your life, there will be a bond of unity, not discourse,

  411. not Strife, come on, not always fighting, not anger, not

  412. anything happening. But seeing a god, Is love

  413. filtering through and processing through your marriage and your

  414. life because you are allowing love to be the bond of unity.

  415. You put a place in your heart to allow him to say, what's gonna

  416. help the spiritual progress of the other individual come on or

  417. vice versa, so that we can move this thing forward in God's love

  418. so that we can have unity and it will be bonded together.

  419. There is a binding that will happen because love is in

  420. operation in your life. Hallelujah.

  421. His love is the only thing that will truly unify.

  422. And that's why we still have division in the world because

  423. not everybody has God's love in their heart, but then those that

  424. do have God's love in their heart supposably.

  425. They've got to apply it to see all of it.

  426. Come to the fullness, right? So we have a responsibility to

  427. be a person that's going to A bond of Unity by walking in the

  428. god kind of love in whatever situation and scenario that we

  429. encounter First Corinthians 13 in the love scripture.

  430. You know, First Corinthians 13. 1 through 8 is talking about the

  431. love of God but in five and six, he says, this love does not take

  432. in account a suffered wrong suffered.

  433. It don't take into an account of a wrong suffered.

  434. What does that mean? I'm going to choose to not allow

  435. this. To be held over a person's head

  436. as an account or that as a account, that owes, oh

  437. something, because then it's Tit for Tat.

  438. No, I'm going to be a person that actually is, like my father

  439. who said, when I asked him to forgive me, he cast my sin, into

  440. the depths of the sea or the one translation, says the sea of

  441. forgetfulness. He doesn't hold an account.

  442. So who are we holding account? He don't hold an account.

  443. He says, he doesn't remember him from the East, he dispersed from

  444. the East to the West. Doesn't even remember our sins,

  445. but yet we hold on and remember, come on and have an account.

  446. That Boeing account of people that have heard us or taken

  447. advantage of us, you know, actually, in Matthew from the

  448. very beginning. The first scripture that I read,

  449. In Matthew 6:14. Where it says, for if you

    Matthew 6:14

  450. forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly

  451. father will also forgive you. Some of you have heard this

  452. story but some of you may have not and it Bears repeating.

  453. You know, before I even really was serving the lord or go into

  454. church back when I was still 16, 17, 18 years old in between that

  455. time frame after I had gotten pregnant with my first son.

  456. And, you know, I had was making a decision that, you know, I

  457. was, I need to go to church, I need to get my life together,

  458. you know, I had Born again, at eight years old, but my parents

  459. didn't raise me in church. We didn't go back.

  460. I was at a vacation bible school.

  461. So I had the seed in me, right? I was water.

  462. Baptized I had the seed in me so this whole time, you know,

  463. there's a struggle because I know there's something in me,

  464. but I don't know what to do with it because I was never taught

  465. what to do with it. But I knew he was drawing me

  466. after, you know, this scenario of get pregnant and all these

  467. things and married and all and so 17, 16 17, I decided I'm

  468. going to go to church. Right?

  469. Because something, still on the inside was draw with me and

  470. didn't know what it was? Well I had started going to a

  471. church didn't even really know what church to go to but it

  472. ended up being a Church of God and they spoke in tongues Well,

  473. I started going to this church and some of the mothers of the

  474. church took me under their wing. You know, and I was trying to do

  475. what was right and trying to go to church, but, you know, the

  476. other half didn't want anything to do with it.

  477. And so there was still a struggle, so I was just kind of

  478. in and out, but I remember during that time I sat down and

  479. I started reading the scripture and this is the very first

  480. scripture. I really came to and Matthew.

  481. It is the first book. So I'm sitting there by myself

  482. as a, you know, I want to say maybe I was 17 18, I don't

  483. really recall the age and I was reading this and I heard on the

  484. inside, this is the first time I had ever really heard the voice

  485. of the Lord, I didn't even know what it was.

  486. I just thought the Bible was talking to me.

  487. And I heard the very first thing you have hatred in your heart

  488. towards your dad. Very first thing, he said to me,

  489. he didn't say I love you. Come on.

  490. Well, I'm pleased with you. I'm so excited.

  491. You're finally deciding to come to church.

  492. Come on. There was a root of bitterness

  493. in me. From my father divorcing, my

  494. mother at 3 years old. Come on.

  495. And filling rejection and all these things.

  496. Had hatred in my heart. But then God has all Dasa T to

  497. tell me I had to go ask for forgiveness to my dad.

  498. I said, are you serious? What did I do to deserve this?

  499. Shouldn't he be coming to me? And asking me to forgive him for

  500. being a terrible death. Come on, that's real.

  501. You know what? Me, not knowing anything.

  502. I knew I had to obey what I heard.

  503. Ain't nobody holding my hand. Nobody mentoring me.

  504. I've said this no mother in the church said.

  505. Yeah, darling. That's what you got to do,

  506. nothing nothing. No one leading me to do what was

  507. right when I could have been a victim and chose to say, no by

  508. God, he did this to my life and if he wants anything from me,

  509. he's going have to come to me. Don't think those thoughts

  510. didn't run through my mind cuz I told you what I was like then.

  511. Right. I wanted to say all those

  512. things. But something on the inside, I

  513. didn't even know it was called the Holy Ghost.

  514. Come on. I didn't have a clue what it

  515. was. But I knew I had to obey what

  516. the scripture said, and that's where my journey began glory to

  517. God. I obeyed it.

  518. Now, I went to him and I asked him to forgive me because I have

  519. I hate you, right? And I heard, I was reading my

  520. Bible and he told me that I needed to forgive you if he was

  521. going to forgive me. I obeyed he stood there and

  522. stared at me. He didn't say a word. well, I

  523. left and I said, well, What what what's that about?

  524. At least he could have said you know I love you.

  525. I'm sorry. Yes I was a horrible dad I

  526. destroyed her life. Nothing Right cricket.

  527. About like it isn't here sometimes.

  528. Well, don't shout me down now. Come on.

  529. So that's where my journey began by just simply reading the word

  530. and heard what the word had to say and chose to actually do it.

  531. And what did that do that released him?

  532. From that sin and it had no more.

  533. Hold On Me. Then him watching my life from

  534. there, I get a phone call, you know, 20 years later.

  535. I want what you have, will you leave me to Christ over the

  536. phone? I let him to Christ over the

  537. phone. Hung up the phone and heard the

  538. Holy Ghost because I knew those Voice by.

  539. Then heard the Holy Ghost. Tell me if you never would have

  540. obeyed me 20 years earlier. Simple obedience to what the

  541. word says and responding to it. Come on now he's here in the

  542. church. Born again.

  543. Come on, we baptized him. Never would have happened.

  544. And I 18 years old, not having a clue with what you know in this

  545. house. I simply obeyed the word and

  546. life was able to begin. And God knew the very root that

  547. would have kept me down. He went straight to the very one

  548. thing, the very root, he knew it all along.

  549. He knew it all along and it was the very first thing.

  550. He dealt with me about because he knew if I didn't deal with

  551. this, it would destroy my the rest of my life.

  552. Amen. Because bitter Roots will take

  553. hold. So, moving back.

  554. We must be people that forgive as he said, we are to forgive

  555. Hebrews 12 14 through 15 says this.

  556. Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be

  557. holy without Holiness, no one will see the Lord.

  558. See to it. That no one.

  559. One, misses the grace of God. Well I could talk a lot here but

  560. I won't No one, misses the grace of God and that no Bitter.

  561. Root grows up to cause trouble. Remember what I said, it's

  562. nothing but trouble and it will destroy you.

  563. And can you will continue to have trouble in your life if you

  564. don't deal with issues in your life.

  565. You'll still have trouble. Come on.

  566. See to it that This Bitter Root grows up to to not defile, what

  567. does it do it? Defiles many and he's talking

  568. about Believers it defiles many. How many can say I've seen some

  569. bitter? Christians.

  570. And their life's a mess still and you're wondering why right

  571. here, there's an issue that's never.

  572. There is a route that has never been uprooted by the spirit of

  573. God and the word of God, come on and yielded to So it's sprung up

  574. and it will cause trouble and it will defile many again.

  575. Bitterroot will only produce bitter fruit.

  576. Look at Acts chapter 8, 21 through 24.

    Acts 8 chapter mention

  577. You have no part or portion in this matter for your heart is

  578. not right before God. Therefore repent of your

  579. wickedness of yours and pray. The Lord that if possible the

  580. intentions of your Heart may be forgiven, you for, I see that

  581. you have in our in the gall of bitterness and in bondage of

  582. iniquity. So a gall of bitterness will

  583. keep you in bondage to that sin that iniquity.

  584. Even though you're born again. Okay.

  585. And we have the responsibility to choose that we are going to

  586. forgive we're going to let this go.

  587. We're going to walk in forgiveness, the way that God

  588. says that we must forgive and deal with anything that could be

  589. defiling our life still as a believer.

  590. Here's those crickets. Mark 11. 25 through 26.

  591. This is right after Mark 11:23 and 24.

    Mark 11:23

  592. And I use this, you know, we need to start going to the next

  593. two scriptures after Mark, 11:23 and 24 because everybody wants

  594. to, you know, have faith and speak to the mountain and do all

  595. these things, and cast it into the sea.

  596. And not doubt in our heart, will have those things whatever we

  597. believe when we pray, but yet they're still a problem here.

  598. And he lets us know, here in what, whenever you stand

  599. praying, forgive lots of people's prayers, are not being

  600. answered because of this one thing, they're still

  601. unforgiveness. They have truly not forgiving

  602. and let things go. They're sand and praying.

  603. Speaking to those mountains, want this, that work in their

  604. marriage. Why don't you start applying

  605. God's love? And stop taking an account of

  606. suffered wrong. Stop being angry.

  607. Come on, stop being disappointed.

  608. Just get yourself together, right?

  609. And you start just doing you and saying, you know what, right?

  610. It says, if we forgive, if it says, whenever you stand

  611. praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone,

  612. Anything against anyone kids may have things against their

  613. parents, right? We need to forgive I'm not

  614. saying ignore the situation, I'm saying go to them.

  615. I had to go to them. Not everybody has to go to every

  616. single thing. But there are situations and,

  617. and things taken place that you just need to go to them and get

  618. things, right? That is proper.

  619. That is proper right to go communicate and deal with it,

  620. and then let it go, and you can be done and no matter what their

  621. response is. You've come on, you have a

  622. release in your heart, you've actually Actually applied the

  623. word. And you can let it go, and

  624. whatever happens then is on them.

  625. But you are responsible for you. So if you have anything against

  626. anyone so that your father who is in heaven will also forgive

  627. you, your transgressions second scripture, we see that, he lets,

  628. you know, that your forgiveness can be also based upon you for

  629. your own. Forgiveness can be based upon if

  630. you are choosing to forgive but if you don't forgive neither

  631. will, your father who is in heaven?

  632. Forgive your transgression regressions?

  633. But I thought I was already forgiven See everybody lives up

  634. underneath that. Salvation is continual until the

  635. day you die or trumpet, sounds. There's continual things that we

  636. have to keep our heart in a position that we're not going to

  637. allow any Sin from day-to-day. Take root take hold, come on,

  638. keep us back from what God wants to do in our life, we have to

  639. choose to apply it so that our father will freely forgive us.

  640. When we have a situation and we need to ask for forgiveness,

  641. amen. Matthew 18:21 through 35, says

    Matthew 18:21–35

  642. this. it says, then Peter came to him and said to him, Lord,

  643. how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him

  644. Hmm. Up to seven times.

  645. Jesus said to him, I do not say to you up to seven times but up

  646. to Seventy Times Seven. For this reason, the Kingdom of

  647. Heaven may be compared to a King who risk to settle accounts with

  648. his slaves. And when he had begun to settle

  649. them, the one who owed him, what 10,000 talents was brought to

  650. him. But since he did not have, the

  651. means to repay his Lord commanded him to be.

  652. Sold along with his wife and children and all that he had as

  653. repayment to be made. So, the slave fell to the ground

  654. prostate at this is an example of us.

  655. Choosing to forgive, or not to forgive.

  656. Prostate had before himself before him saying have patience

  657. with me. So here, he's asking for

  658. patients yet, we're going to see, he didn't apply it back.

  659. Have patience with me and I will repay everything and the lord of

  660. the slave felt compassion and released him.

  661. There's that release and what forgave him the debt.

  662. But that slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves

  663. who owed him a hundred denarian and he seized him and began to

  664. choke him saying, pay me back what you owe me?

  665. So his fellow slave fell to the ground just like he was just

  666. doing and began to plead with him saying have patience with me

  667. and I will repay you but he was unwilling.

  668. He was unwilling. To release him.

  669. And forgive him even though he had just received it from the

  670. law from his Lord. Right?

  671. He was on willing and went and threw him in prison until he

  672. should pay him back what was owed.

  673. So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were

  674. deeply grieved and came and reported to their lord.

  675. All that had happened, then summing him summoning him.

  676. His lord said to him, you Wicked slave.

  677. I forgave you of all the debt because you pleaded with me,

  678. Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow slave and

  679. the same way that I had mercy on you.

  680. Wow, we need to think about this.

  681. We're crying Mercy out for God's Mercy.

  682. Mercy Mercy but yet we're withholding it from others.

  683. And his Lord moved with anger handed him over to the torturers

  684. until he should repay. All that was owed him.

  685. My heavenly father My heavenly father is he yours?

  686. Heavenly Father. Will also do the same to you.

  687. If each of you does not forgive his brother from what from is

  688. heart. Not with your words. but from

  689. your heart, the pure motive of your heart.

  690. So you can say it all day long, but your actions and your

  691. attitude and the atmosphere is still there because you really

  692. did it forgive from a pure heart of I want this, right?

  693. And if I keep asking God to forgive me, who am I to withhold

  694. it from my brother, or my sister, or my wife, or my

  695. husband, or my father or my mother or my daughter-in-law or

  696. my son, come on, who are we? How arrogant prideful selfish

  697. fleshly carnal? We when we sit here and act like

  698. we're going to come sing A Hallelujah.

  699. And yet still have bitterness unforgiveness resentfulness

  700. anger towards others. Amen.

  701. This is serious business. A root of bitterness is serious

  702. business and if you don't we know that it says it will spring

  703. up. Well we know what happens, you

  704. know, this is Springtime and what's happening growth is

  705. happening. Things are what spring enough.

  706. Well in the beginning, what do we know?

  707. It's just little bitty. But then what happens like you

  708. can see a little tomato plant spring up or a watermelon plant

  709. spring up. But boy, once it starts growing

  710. it takes over what? Everything?

  711. Everything specially watermelons.

  712. Squash cucumbers. They they take over everything

  713. right? Everything around it and can

  714. either in even can smother other plants out.

  715. So some good things maybe trying to want to spring up in your

  716. life, but it's being smothered out by all the bad root of

  717. bitterness, come on that's been allowed to grow and take over.

  718. So it's smothering out. Anything good, that God would

  719. want to do Amen. So it's important that at the

  720. very beginning, you go ahead and dig that little bad boy up.

  721. Get it out of the garden, get it out of the soil of your heart so

  722. that it cannot grow, come on, and it can't take over and it

  723. can't smother out. What God wants to do.

  724. In your life, your purpose, the plans, the things that God has

  725. in store for your life, to walk. In heaven on Earth to to see the

  726. fullness of all his promises in your life.

  727. They'll be smothered out by this route that you didn't deal with.

  728. And you'll go through your life, smothered choked out.

  729. Come on those forms. Those by they'll choke you out.

  730. They'll choke the life out of you.

  731. And that's why some people look like The Walking Dead even in

  732. church. They're being choked out by

  733. issues. Buy things that they still

  734. haven't let go and let God, we all at once.

  735. You let go, let God boy. We can preach it, we can talk it

  736. but when it comes down to route now, nobody wants to root

  737. around. The lot of people don't like

  738. weeding. I've noticed that especially

  739. everybody in my house. Nobody likes the weed.

  740. I enjoy it because every time I pull a weed, I think this is a,

  741. this is a weed that's been Fucked up out of my life that

  742. can never have hold of me ever again.

  743. So reminder God's Garden. Every, you know, God's Garden.

  744. Hallelujah. So we got to make sure that we

  745. are allowing forgiveness to flow freely in our life so that we're

  746. not bound and retain the very things that we hated happen to

  747. our lives. Hallelujah.

  748. Proverbs 17:9 he who covers and forgives an offense seeks love.

    Proverbs 17:9

  749. He who covers and forgives. We talked about love covering

  750. last time, but this is in connection with forgives an

  751. offense seeks love. When you choose.

  752. To forgive an offense. You're seeking God's love in

  753. that situation. Amen.

  754. But one who repeats or harps on a matter separates, even close

  755. friends. Which goes back to what I was

  756. talking about last week that we shouldn't be slandering and

  757. talking about people and tearing people down because God's love

  758. would not do that. Amen, we should be trying to

  759. cover and protect people's lives as much as possible unless it

  760. comes to the point that, you know, they've done something

  761. where the scripture says bring them before the church, then it

  762. can be dealt with in public. Last week when I was talking

  763. about, you know, don't ever, you know, that should be the

  764. majority of our heart that we're not going to talk about people.

  765. We're not going to slander pastors.

  766. Or not going to tear down people in public, but that's not

  767. meaning that we don't go to them as the scripture says in

  768. private, and what is the goal to restore?

  769. To bring reconciliation to bring a bond of unity, right?

  770. But if they refuse reconciliation and they refuse

  771. to be dealt with. And they if you refuse

  772. accountability and it still destroying someone's life.

  773. Then it says bring them before the church, then you can bring

  774. them before the public. But that's usually in the church

  775. house. I'm not talking about inquiring

  776. minds or The Enquirer or Facebook or Instagram, listen.

  777. That is not private. It's not private, right?

  778. So there are occasions that you do as I said, you can't cover

  779. everything in one message. So Jude one, this is our last

  780. scripture will close Jew chapter 1 verses 17 through 25.

  781. It says, but you beloved Remember The Words which were

  782. spoken before the Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  783. How they were told you that there would be mockers in the

  784. last day who would walk according to their own ungodly

  785. lust. These are sensual persons who

  786. cause Ian's, not having the spirit but you beloved building.

  787. Yourselves up on your Most, Holy Faith, praying in the spirit,

  788. very first lesson. We talked about is that if we

  789. are going to walk, according to the Royal law of love, we can

  790. only do it by being a person of the word and the Holy Spirit

  791. guiding our life outside of the Holy Spirit.

  792. Empowering you, you won't be able to walk in fully the god

  793. kind of love, right? But You won't be yielding but he

  794. says this building yourself up on your Most.

  795. Holy Faith. Praying in the spirit.

  796. Keep your selves keep yourselves.

  797. In the love of God. Who's responsible to keep

  798. ourselves in the love of God, we are.

  799. God is not going to keep his love.

  800. For you. He's giving you his love, he

  801. shed it abroad in your heart, he poured it out in your heart.

  802. Now you're the one responsible to keep this.

  803. Love guarded to make sure that's what that means to keep to guard

  804. to protect the love of God. That's been put in your heart.

  805. And are we seeing any importance in this?

  806. We are to guard it. We are to keep it.

  807. We are to make sure that our heart is motivated in everything

  808. that we do every situation, we encounter every circumstance

  809. that comes before us. That our motive is his love and

  810. how we respond and we have the responsibility to guard this.

  811. Love to keep this love to allow this.

  812. I love to grow more and more to allow this love to grow fruit.

  813. That produces debts, wits, links, Heights, that there is no

  814. end to the love of God growing in our life because it is a, the

  815. fruit of the spirit, it can grow.

  816. It's a fruit, it starts small, but then what it's supposed to

  817. grow grow, grow, and produce his love in such a way that you can

  818. walk through life in every encounter that you encounter

  819. that the love of God is going to be the first thing in the first

  820. thought that comes to your mind, come on, and how you're going to

  821. respond in this situation. According to what the scripture

  822. says, how we are to respond in the pure love of God in the

  823. situation. So we are to keep ourselves in

  824. the love of God in the The love of God, looking for the mercy of

  825. our Lord, Jesus Christ until eternal life.

  826. Mercy again, the guy was crying out for help for Mercy but there

  827. was none being shown. So if we want to continue to

  828. receive the mercy of God in our lives, when we don't deserve,

  829. come on. That's what that means.

  830. We didn't deserve it. We don't deserve the things that

  831. he will forgive us up but we still kit.

  832. Come on we still get to ask of it and if we want it you need to

  833. release it. Because what what do we know

  834. whatsoever? Things you soweth you're going

  835. to reap. So if you don't.

  836. So forgiveness. Guess what?

  837. You're not going to reap it if you don't.

  838. So Mercy. Guess what?

  839. You're not going to receive it. If you don't.

  840. So come on love then guess what you know what the very thing you

  841. so desire from whoever it is that you may want all this love

  842. from but if you still got walls up, guess what?

  843. You're not going to get the love.

  844. That really you want? Because you got too many walls.

  845. And you're not sewing, the love. Come on. say, so the love so the

  846. love So the love we're going to sew the love of God.

  847. And we're going to reap what the love of God in our lives.

  848. Hallelujah. So we need to be those that keep

  849. ourselves in the loving of God verse 22.

  850. I want to finish reading this. It says and on some have

  851. compassion making a distinction but others save with fear, full,

  852. pulling them out of the fire hating.

  853. Even the garment defiled by the flesh.

  854. Now to him Um, who is able to keep you from stumbling and to

  855. present you faultless before the presence of his glory and

  856. exceeding Joy To Our God savior who alone as wise Glory Majesty,

  857. dominion and power both now and forevermore.

  858. He's the only one that can do it.

  859. For and through US, amen. So let's be people that choose

  860. to have a pure heart of God's love Agape, is love and do

  861. whatever we can. To apply it everyday.

  862. Don't be a wishy-washy person one day you're forgiven and let

  863. things go and a week. You know what that tells me you

  864. still have an account of suffered wrong.

  865. I'm not saying it's not a process and working through, but

  866. every day you ought to be I forgive them.

  867. I'm going to walk this thing through.

  868. I'm not going to hold an account of suffered wrong.

  869. I'm going to choose come on. To make sure.

  870. I am readily and freely. Freely means there's no strings

  871. attached. No strings attached, amen?

  872. No strings attached. Amen.

  873. Tyler lujah. Well let's pray.

  874. Father, we just thank you so much for your word.

  875. We thank you, Father for the love of God.

  876. We're so thankful father that we got to be partakers of this

  877. Divine love in our life. And father let us not squander

  878. the love that's been shed abroad.

  879. But let us allow this fruit in our life to grow and produce the

  880. fullness. The fullness of what you see in

  881. our lives. Let us be a person.

  882. That chooses to just let things go to forgive to forget to not.

  883. Hold on to an account, a suffered wrong, but to love like

  884. you, we thank you. I want to read this because this

  885. is my last message. If I can find it, I pulled this

  886. up because I was reminded of the best expanded translations.

  887. Of 1st Corinthians 13 and I just think we read this a lot in

  888. Weddings, But I just want to end on this.

  889. I want you to think about it. This is Rick, renters expanded

  890. translation on First Corinthians 13.

  891. Was it four through? Eight says this love Patiently.

  892. I now out, when I read this, I want you to think about

  893. yourself. Not anybody sitting beside you.

  894. Does this look like you? That's what you should be asking

  895. yourself. Love patiently and passionately

  896. bears with others. For as long as patients is

  897. needed. Love does not demand others to

  898. be like itself. Rather, it is so focused on the

  899. needs of others. That it bends over backwards, I

  900. can't do a back bend or whatever that's called.

  901. Is that what that's called a back bend so that one kind of

  902. gets me there benzo. Over backwards to become what

  903. others needs it to be. Love is not ambitious,

  904. self-centered or so consumed with itself that it never thinks

  905. of the needs or desires. That others possess love doesn't

  906. go around talking about itself all the time constantly

  907. exaggerating and embellishing the facts to make it look more

  908. important. In the sight of others, love

  909. does not behave in a prideful. Arrogant haughty Superior snood.

  910. A snobbish or clannish manner love is not rude and is not

  911. discourteous it is not careless or thoughtless nor does it carry

  912. on in a fashion that would be considered insensitive to

  913. others. Love does not manipulate

  914. situations or scheme and divides methods that will twist

  915. situations to its own Advantage. Love does not deliberately keep

  916. records of Of wrongs or past mistakes.

  917. Love does not feel Overjoyed when it sees an injustice done

  918. to someone and someone else but is elated thrilled is static and

  919. Overjoyed with the truth. Love protects Shields, guards

  920. covers, conceals and safeguards people from exposure.

  921. Love always expects and anticipates the best in others

  922. and the best for others. Love, never quits.

  923. Never surrenders, never gives up love never disappoints.

  924. Never fails and never lets anyone down.
