Thanks for checking out the anchor Faith, Message podcast
-
from st. Augustine Florida.
-
Now, enjoy this message. So tonight I'm going to minister
-
on leadership last year's, you remember?
-
I said that the Lord started talking to me and says you need
-
to speak on leadership to the body because the reality is,
-
There's the wealth of the wicked to be laid up for the righteous
-
and it's easy for the righteous to take over.
-
Because as more lawlessness increases even lost, people are
-
going to be looking for someone who keeps themselves together.
-
Now, how do I know this? Joseph came to the captain of
-
Potiphar's. Harem?
-
Okay. And he was not a Godly Man at
-
all, but he bought Joseph as a slave To start administrating
-
things at his house. And the Bible says that he saw
-
that, the Lord was with him. So much.
-
So he was so impressed and know that he was above every other
-
slave he had he put him over all this house.
-
He didn't check in on anything. There was only one thing he told
-
Joseph, he said don't touch my wife now for years, you know, I
-
didn't think nothing about that. I just figured sure you wouldn't
-
touch his wife but this is the Pharaohs.
-
If you re one translation, this is Pharaoh's captain of his
-
bodyguard of the vast body of his guard, which was of his hair
-
on, which means he was a eunuch. And this is why I saying don't
-
touch my wife. Are you hearing me?
-
That's why his wife was like, Joseph, I have needs.
-
Okay. So that was a huge Temptation.
-
Actually, with that being said, when he gets thrown in prison,
-
what does the Jailer see the warden?
-
He says God's with this guy. Now this guy the jail or the
-
warden is not born again. He's not follower of God, he's
-
not in the Covenant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
-
And he puts him over all the prison, obviously, when he comes
-
up to Pharaoh, because of the dream, Farah says, we don't have
-
anybody wiser and you you'll go ahead and do it and Pharaoh
-
never changed the law of his land which was Hebrews were low.
-
Some Egyptians wouldn't eat with a Hebrew and that Lon never
-
changed which means the entirety of his tenure in.
-
Egypt, as basically prime minister.
-
The nation still discriminated against him.
-
And Pharaoh did not change that law, why?
-
Cause Pharaoh did not follow the god of Abraham, Isaac, and
-
Jacob, and Joseph did not rebel against that King, because it
-
doesn't matter whether you'll eat with me or not.
-
I have a covenant with God because I don't need you to have
-
to eat with me. I just need to eat with the
-
Lord. Are you hearing me?
-
But the Bible says that pharaohs soul.
-
That God was with him. And so if we would apply the
-
principles that are laid out throughout the Bible of how a
-
godly man or woman responds in the Earth, by the power of the
-
Holy Ghost. And what again, we are in a
-
dispensation that God is in us with us and we are in his
-
likeness, okay? If we will respond as as our
-
history books communicate, then even the ungodly will promote
-
you. It happened.
-
So, you know, you're only, you know, there you could be so
-
quick to a promotion right now. I mean there's so many things
-
that could be in your direction if you just apply the principles
-
and the Lord says, told me, he said now you need to train the
-
church because not everybody's in the church.
-
Which means when you're in business, if you're an employee,
-
you can be a manager. And remember it's not based upon
-
your experience. Based upon your what capacity,
-
right? It's based upon your capacity.
-
In fact, we could talk about Devin Hicks is Devon Hicks, even
-
in here tonight? I don't see Devin, huh?
-
He's in the bathroom. His wife told on him right
-
there. She's the only one who can do
-
that, but thank you for that information.
-
Serena would you stand up Devin and Serena came to us from
-
Kentucky. Okay, now, what was Devon doing
-
in Kentucky? Anyway, what was his job?
-
A heavy machine operator at a land filled, so, that means he
-
drove a bulldozer and push trash around.
-
He was a trash man. Okay, I mean let you see what
-
I'm saying. How we have titles today, a
-
heavy machine operator, At a waste management plant.
-
He was a trash guy on a bulldozer pushing garbage.
-
All right. Okay.
-
And thank God for those positions.
-
That doesn't mean that's a lo-- some position, because if we
-
didn't have them, we look like India.
-
And if you've never been to India the whole Nations, the
-
trash field, well, not the whole nation but all of New Delhi,
-
they say down, south is beautiful.
-
Hadn't been down there. Myself and went to the beach and
-
mu by one time, and I went out there to look at the water
-
because I wanted to get in, but there was so much trash.
-
Like, well, I saw it and that right.
-
Pastor? Marcus, we went to Mumbai, he
-
probably went to the bathroom to, okay?
-
Just check it. Okay, good, I'm glad you're
-
here. So, Dividend Serino is hearing
-
the word that Devin's brother Pastor Brandon and Pastor April
-
were here and since they started coming to the church and they
-
were listening and eventually they're like we should move
-
because of the church then have a job.
-
Then have another heavy machine operator at a Waste Management
-
Field. Position available?
-
No, he came and became a factory worker, basically a production
-
guy at Carlisle. He graduated from high school,
-
correct? Okay.
-
Just checking. All right.
-
Graduated from high school and work.
-
Probably third shift first. Is that what he did first?
-
Yeah, third shift. so, he's just a employee but because he came
-
because the Lord said go because of the church, Today Beyond his
-
experience, and he still does not have a college.
-
Degree, which the position he holds requires it.
-
He is the plant manager of all of Carlisle.
-
Why is that? Because when you do the
-
principles of the word, it will make room for you.
-
So what I'm going to minister on tonight is not just for in the
-
church because leadership is everywhere.
-
You know, the ability to oversee situations business, whatever
-
people is available for every one of us.
-
So it doesn't really matter. What batters is that we do the
-
principles wherever we're at and it gives us opportunity.
-
I could tell you another one that just got promoted into
-
management. And by All rights, should not be
-
in that management position, but is moving in out at Grumman.
-
In our church. Hallelujah.
-
Are you hearing me? So again, when we start applying
-
these, I mean honestly people should come here and it doesn't
-
matter how you come here. Because if you apply then
-
ultimately God's like, I need your influence over people's
-
lives. I need how you respond to
-
situations to have the influence.
-
Are you hearing me? I mean, I've been into Longhorn
-
multiple times where Leo works over, you know, the cooks there
-
during the week, and the manager speak of him highly all the
-
time, all that his influence, even though he doesn't hold the
-
managing position. He has that kind of influence.
-
He now, he has tenure, don't get me wrong, he's 27 years but
-
2627, right, 25, 25 years but yet they could just say you're
-
the cook. But they don't.
-
Because something on the inside is taking place.
-
Amen. Now, let me say it this way,
-
just because your believer doesn't mean you are operating
-
in it. Okay, so don't think you're the
-
best person in the room just because you're a Believer now.
-
You are the best person in the room in the context of your
-
spiritual life and walk with God, you have that capacity.
-
But you have to bring application.
-
Amen. So today I want to minister
-
something that I've done in leadership before I think I've
-
done it here in the church at one point, I cannot tell you
-
what year it was. I can tell you when I did it to
-
our ministry coordinating team and that was in 2012 11 years
-
ago. I said 11 years ago.
-
Okay. But there's always new nuggets
-
and so we're going to communicate this.
-
I want to talk about a healthy environment.
-
We're going to create a healthy environment at your workplace.
-
So all through all types of people in a workplace are listed
-
in this passage of scripture, wherever you are find yourself,
-
and then operate accordingly. Amen.
-
verse 13. It says, and it came about on
-
the next day that Moses set to judge the people and the people
-
stood about Moses from the morning until Evening.
-
Now when Moses says father-in-law saw all that he
-
was doing from the, for the people, he said, what is this
-
thing you are doing for the people?
-
Why do you alone? Sit as judge and all the people
-
stand around you from morning until evening, Moses said to his
-
father-in-law because the people come to me to inquire of God,
-
when they have a dispute, it comes to me.
-
I judge between a man and his neighbor and make known the
-
statutes of God and his law, Moses father-in-law said to him
-
the things. That you are doing is not good.
-
Now, it's not what he's doing. That's not good.
-
I mean the information that they're going to God, they're
-
trying to find out what God's answer concerning the issue.
-
That's not what he's saying. He's saying how you're doing, it
-
is not good. All right, he said, you will
-
surely what you're going to wear out both yourself.
-
And these people who are with you, for the task is too heavy
-
for you. You cannot do it.
-
Alone, say alone. Now, listen to me, I will give
-
you counsel and God be with you. You be the people's
-
representative before God, and you bring the disputes to God,
-
then teach them the statues and the law and make known to them
-
the way in which they are to walk.
-
And the work, they are to do. Furthermore, you shall select
-
out of the people. Able men who fear God, men of
-
Truth, those who hate dishonest gain and you.
-
Place these over, as Leaders of thousands of hundreds of 50s,
-
and of tens, let them judge the people at all times and let them
-
be and let it be that every major dispute, they bring to
-
you. But every minor dispute, they
-
themselves will judge. So it will be easier for you.
-
And they will bear the burden with you if you do this thing
-
and God, so commands you, then you will be able to endure.
-
And all these people also will go on the their place in peace.
-
So Moses listen to us, father-in-law and did all that.
-
He had said, Moses chose able men out of all of Israel and
-
made them heads over over, the people leaders of thousands of
-
hundreds of 50s. And of tens, they judge the
-
people at all times, the difficult disputes, they would
-
bring to Moses. But every minor dispute, they
-
themselves would judge then Moses made his father-in-law A
-
Farewell and he went His way into his own land.
-
Amen. When I originally through this
-
out as a leadership teaching, I called it, the 70 principle,
-
because Moses, obviously a portion of Moses has anointing
-
went on to 70 other leaders, okay?
-
And they were there to help him administrate things that were
-
going on within the nation Scholars.
-
Say, okay, that, you know, Moses had anywhere from a million to 3
-
million Israelites. Okay, A lot of times, you know,
-
because they're called a congregation in a lot of the
-
translations. So it could be a church of three
-
million people and the pastor or overseer Called Moses is taking
-
care of it, all by himself. That's a lot of people, right?
-
Okay, so with that being said, his father, in law, gives him
-
some advice that obviously is of the Lord and Moses is going to
-
apply that. So, with that being said, here's
-
a few points that we can pull out, and I'll kind of jump back
-
and forth in scripture to T. All right?
-
If I teach tonight, y'all find, if I don't pop veins all the
-
time, right? Okay.
-
I mean, when's my vein popping Tom comes, we'll pop it, when it
-
doesn't, then we don't Right? Okay, the first thing that we
-
learn again, Moses. Let's put it this way.
-
Moses is the owner of a Company CEO.
-
Okay. I mean he is the final say of
-
the organization, right? When I say that on earth, now
-
obviously God is, but on Earth, okay?
-
The 70 that are able men that the are picked are like managers
-
district managers, are you hearing me?
-
They don't own the company, you know, they're not, you know, the
-
principal of the school, they may be an Administration they
-
may be, or could be principles in or not the school board or
-
you hear what I'm saying. So these are the layers.
-
These are the ones that are in management type positions.
-
There are still people under them.
-
Obviously, the one that owns it or is over whatever the
-
organization is, whether it's a non-profit, whether it's a
-
business, whether it's, you know, the Owner of a football
-
team. Okay, see how I'm trying to get
-
us all together. If you are a governor in a over
-
a state, okay? Then you have people underneath
-
you that are in managerial positions.
-
All right. Maybe you're here today and
-
you're a manager. You're over people, you're over
-
things, then that you're in that layer, okay?
-
And we're going to be talking about each one, then you have
-
the ones that are still just in the group because the
-
leadership. It was over what thousands
-
hundreds 50s and tens. Well the thousands hundreds 50s
-
and Tents are the employees. These are people who have
-
responsibilities with the environment because again, we're
-
trying to create a healthy environment, no matter where
-
we're at. And if you are just an employee,
-
there's a way you can respond to help create peace.
-
Right. Okay.
-
So but there's also embedded how you come out of employee to
-
management positions. All right, so Moses then is the
-
what over it? So the first thing we learn is
-
this, is that The Keeper of the vision.
-
That's the one who has the vision of the whatever
-
organization were over, is not to do it alone.
-
So if you own a business and you're trying to do it alone,
-
You're going to be wore out but here's the warning.
-
Not only will you get wore out. You'll wear the ones out that
-
are under you. Now, let me tell you what it
-
sounds like to an owner when they are trying to do it all
-
themselves. This is what it sounds like.
-
I can't get nobody to do nothing, right?
-
Nobody listen to me. No, you're doing it all by
-
yourself, because they're getting worn out too.
-
Because the minute you do it by yourself and start getting worn
-
out, you will wear them out. You don't get worn out and
-
they're fun. Right?
-
So this helps you if you're somewhere and it seems like your
-
manager is just and you're like, I'm so worn out, guess what?
-
It could be that they're worn out because they're trying to do
-
too much and maybe you need to say, what can I do to help you?
-
Because we're trying to develop a healthy environment you know
-
what? They don't deserve to be helped.
-
They're so mean they're so okay. What's that mean?
-
The Bible tells us it's the kindness of God that leads
-
people to repentance. So go ahead and be kind anyway.
-
I mean you're not endorsing their sin, you're not endorsing,
-
what they're doing, you're just trying to be kind and help the
-
organization at the end of the day.
-
What can I do to help you? Even if that means, you do it,
-
and give them the credit because you can do something, let them
-
have the credit so that when the owner shows up said, this is the
-
greatest thing ever in your life.
-
That was my idea. But they're taking credit for
-
you, don't have to say I should be getting this.
-
They should give me that bonus. They should you work for the
-
Lord? How in the world can you get
-
robbed from The Lord knows what's yours.
-
I mean this ain't this isn't competition when you're working
-
unto the Lord, it doesn't matter who gets credit cause ultimately
-
God will give you credit. It will manifest period.
-
I can't tell you a timeframe but I'm just telling you to happen.
-
At the end of the day, it will happen because God always
-
rewards the righteous So if you're over something, you have
-
to find yourself instilling that Vision into others to help and
-
let them thrive in that capacity.
-
Let them thrive. In fact, you should Champion
-
when they're thriving, because ultimately, it makes all of us
-
better. All of us better if we do not
-
and we try to do it alone. I meant I talked with many
-
pastors myself and, you know, they have congregations vary in
-
size of less than 100, do you know, maybe three or four
-
hundred and their staff is still, you know, kind of small
-
and they're doing a lot and are, man, I'm doing everything.
-
I'm doing everything. Well, my question is, why are
-
you doing it alone? Why are you wearing yourself
-
out? And the people In fact, I'm
-
learning is because this reminds me this passage reminds me when
-
I hear a minister say well you know what, we just don't want to
-
go from project project so we don't want to wear the people
-
out. No, the only reason the people
-
are being worn out is because you're trying to do it yourself
-
in the projects. And when you're worn out,
-
they'll be worn out. Are you hear me?
-
Okay? So, carrying the load along,
-
will wear out the leader and all who follow, if God is giving you
-
any idea as an overseer, it already includes people. .
-
It already includes people. Now, the only challenge is
-
getting people to surround you that have the same passion for
-
what the vision is as you do. And when it is, then you're
-
never intimidated. You know, I was talking with our
-
staff Erich, Brady. He read a book recently, and I
-
was saying, now, when you finish this book, I said, you'll be an
-
identified leadership really easy because it's about King,
-
David King Saul, and King Absalom.
-
And I said, man, when you understand How that functions
-
every time you get around someone you'll say um, and
-
that's King Saul. It's identify ball.
-
That's an absolute. Very identifiable.
-
Oh, there's King David. You can see it because of how
-
they function around people instead of Saul rejoicing.
-
When it was said Saul kills his thousands and David his ten
-
thousand and say, praise God, he killed his 10,000 because that
-
means 11,000 of our enemies have been destroyed and thank God for
-
Israel. God bless Israel.
-
But what did he do? That boy is going to try to take
-
my kingdom. He's outperforming working.
-
Are you hearing me? Hallelujah. so, The Keeper of
-
the vision is to teach, To make known the way to walk and assign
-
the job descriptions. Again, the Bible says, my people
-
perish due to lack of knowledge. Anytime, if you're overseeing an
-
area, if you are, not clearly communicating what's expected
-
written. Written.
-
Then when your employees go crazy.
-
It's your fault. Because you gave them no
-
restraint. You didn't give them a boundary,
-
are you hearing me, you're not communicating exactly where the
-
their Lane is and where they can thrive?
-
If you don't do that. And then they'll get over in
-
areas that they aren't supposed to be in.
-
They can really mess some things up, but it's your responsive
-
Jethro told he said, I listened instead of you doing it all, you
-
teach the people What God Says, do the trainee.
-
Then when you've done the training, the ones that you have
-
appointed as Leaders, they'll take what you've learned and re
-
communicate that my wife and I went out to eat the other day
-
and the waiter was like, now tonight, you know, tonight on
-
the Menu. I have what he didn't have.
-
This ain't his restaurant. But he talks like he has
-
ownership and you want to talk like you have ownership.
-
The reason why anchor of a church can be better is not
-
because I can articulate the vision you can.
-
It's not because I can tell people when I got here you can.
-
It's not because I can tell people you know what God's done
-
is because you can is because you know the history of this
-
place, you know, the vision of this place you know the passion
-
of this place and you talk about it as if you were the one. yet,
-
even though, you know, you're not the Keeper of the vision but
-
you helped keep it. Are you hearing me really
-
important? So we are to instruct
-
communicate now obviously that is not just in the overall
-
leadership role that is also in the manager role because when he
-
communicated the job description, these guys and said
-
I listen these minor disputes you're going to do well he had
-
to Define What a minor dispute was because if he didn't Define
-
What a minor dispute was, how would they know what a major one
-
is? How are you gonna know?
-
I know with our pastoral staff. I know, with our, you know,
-
Ministry staff. I know with our ministry
-
coordinators, who by All rights are paid.
-
We let them know, know, people are going to speak to you, but
-
when these conversations come, you are to point them in this
-
direction or alter care. How many are on the altar care
-
team. Okay, you know that on the altar
-
care There are three things you're dealing with down here.
-
Being born again, being baptized in the Holy Ghost are
-
rededication, you are not counseling them about their
-
marriages that are falling apart.
-
Because someone who's rededicate their life may be coming because
-
my marriage is falling apart. My kids are driving me crazy and
-
I don't know what to do. So what can they do?
-
They'll come down there broken, they want God to change their
-
situation. Their like, I need to rededicate
-
my life to God. I need God's, you know, power
-
and, you know, that's why they're here for.
-
But then they begin to divulge other and we said we'd give them
-
instruction. That's not your lane.
-
You say, now you need to set up a meeting with our pastoral
-
layer and they will not get their number and your counseling
-
them on the side. Are you hearing me?
-
And again it's freedom because it allows you to know your lane
-
know what the anointing is therefore in the Altar and what?
-
It's not. Hallelujah.
-
You know, the reason why the world is like it is is because
-
everyone has the Lucifer mindset.
-
Now you know what the Lucifer mine said is right?
-
I'm going to be to God, I'm taking it over, I want my thrown
-
up there and no matter where you're at where the employee
-
manager doesn't matter because even if your CEO I'm gonna take
-
over the other businesses. The all the while you're never
-
satisfied with your seat. Because the only seat that the
-
devil satisfied. Is gods.
-
Amen, political people that are in the realm of politics.
-
This it they're not satisfied to be over a country.
-
Why is the leaders in China and Iran and Russia meeting with
-
other nations because someone's trying to develop a different
-
Global dominance. Those Nations hate it.
-
When it is said that, the u.s. president is the power.
-
That office holds the greatest power hate that.
-
This is why they trying to dismantle the dollar.
-
I mean it's just but it is a Lucifer mentality.
-
I want my throne above and it comes in the workplace.
-
This is why it's easy for you. When you know this as Believers
-
is that I don't have to try to get to the top.
-
In fact I should even have an ambition to get to the top.
-
My only Ambassador in is discern and ambition is to serve God in
-
any capacity. Let him do the promotion.
-
Then you won't be upset when you're over.
-
Look for one. Because God never overlooks you.
-
All right, just say Amen. Anyway so what becomes extremely
-
easy? Now why do I say this?
-
Because you have what the world doesn't have patience.
-
It's a fruit of the spirit that when it passes You by and it was
-
all your ideas and you should be having that Ray's right now you
-
can eat patients and say my God will vindicate me, my God will
-
do whatever you need because at the end of the day you want to
-
demonstrate Eight Kingdom leadership and not at like, I
-
got to be the guy Jesus Christ. I've said this, I'm going to
-
repeat it. There is a chain of command in
-
the godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the
-
Holy Spirit. Jesus said, would only do what
-
Jesus tells him. Jesus said, I only do what the
-
father says for all eternity. Jesus has always been in the
-
second seat so to Beak. He's at the right hand of the
-
father, he has never wanted to take the throne, so the idea of
-
I want to be over, does not come from Jesus.
-
It comes from the Devil. Now, there's nothing wrong with
-
aspiring. There's nothing wrong with
-
aspiring, there's nothing wrong with you.
-
Knowing that there's a capacity in you greater than what you
-
have. And there's a responsibility to
-
that, but at the end of the day, I'm not going after I just know
-
it's within me. Should the Lord deploy it?
-
Should the Lord to the Lord deploy it?
-
Are you hearing me again? Obadiah?
-
Minor Prophet, not a major profit.
-
Minor Prophet one book. One chapter.
-
Most people in the Christian world today couldn't handle.
-
That God would only write one chapter about your life.
-
And the reason why is it's not because It's because you still
-
have old mentality from your old, your other father.
-
You want to be better than everyone else.
-
Well, how can you be better? Seriously, how can you be better
-
when God loves us all? And he wants you to be what he's
-
created you to be? I mean, there's no issue with.
-
I mean I play music myself. I'm a musician.
-
Although I don't give myself to that and if I did, I would be
-
better. But that skill, which is
-
untapped is nothing compared to what's going on.
-
And I'm not gel, I'm like, praise God man.
-
And then you get around some people, you know, someone could
-
get up and go well and they know the note and start a whole thing
-
and they just make this stuff up as they go in your life.
-
Wow. They're just like oozing with a
-
ability. But why would you be jealous
-
when God created them? That way.
-
It serves its function and you do your part.
-
They do their part in God's. Well, pleased with us all amen.
-
Remember God told the five Talent, man.
-
And the two Talent, man. Well done. he didn't say, well,
-
you're not as good as the five, but I'm glad you got to Didn't
-
say that. Now he gave it based upon their
-
ability. So the two new I really can't
-
handle five and thank God he didn't give me five.
-
Because God knew the capacity of what he can handle.
-
See, we want to try to handle capacities.
-
We can't have. And then we fall apart.
-
We blame God, and other people. And then we act like the rest of
-
the world Grumble and complain. No just stay in what definitely
-
causes the anointing to flow. And if you do that, you'll be
-
well pleased, amen? So you got to stay within the
-
Judgment boundaries, if you're an employee stay within the
-
boundaries, don't try to be a manager.
-
But if they ask you, then give them an answer, you know, how
-
many times we you people, you know, y'all know this, you know,
-
the manager comes in. We got this project and they're
-
asking all here, what do you think?
-
Well God may give you the idea that needs to be done and it's
-
not the manager getting, it's, you Now they may take note and
-
through these god-given ideas because you hear the Holy Ghost
-
eventually gets you promoted could be absolutely but you're
-
not looking for it. You're just like I'm here to
-
help the company where I'm at At the end of the day, I mean, sure
-
everyone likes to have more money.
-
I get that, but you just may spend more that mean you're more
-
responsible because you have more.
-
Are you hearing me? I mean, some promotions have
-
killed people. Because it's pulled them out of
-
church. It would have been better for
-
them, not to have the promotion in The Prestige.
-
All right. Amen.
-
All right, the next thing we see then there are situations then
-
based upon this that you are not to handle again.
-
When Moses says, okay here are my guys, these are the things I
-
want you to handle than that. Immediately means there are
-
things. You should not handle.
-
And instead of taking offense at that.
-
Have it as Liberty. Well, praise the Lord.
-
I'll have to deal with that amen.
-
Yeah in the words of myself and Pastor Hagen, that's your
-
problem. Not my problem.
-
Amen. I've been actually saying that a
-
lot lately situation. I'm like, that's their problem.
-
Not my problem. I mean I'm not getting in their
-
Lane if they don't want to deal with it, then they don't want to
-
deal with it. If the Lord can't make them, I
-
sure can't make them because I've already empowered them
-
through the word to be different and not handle it the way they
-
are. Amen, can pray for everybody?
-
Do a lot of praying. Do a lot of praying that they'll
-
just do the word because I know this if you just do the word
-
you'll win, it'll be successful. It's amazing.
-
All right. So in recap, The Keeper of the
-
vision, shouldn't do it alone. They should not carry the load
-
by themselves because if they do, it will wear them out and
-
all who keep. Now, here's the thing, the
-
minute you begin to release. Responsibility.
-
Then you've got to allow them. The ability to succeed or fail.
-
Failure of something you've delegated should not make you
-
mad. It should become a teaching
-
tool. Now, that doesn't mean things,
-
can't anger. You righteously, I'm not saying
-
that. I'm not saying if you own
-
something, you told somebody something they're doing it wrong
-
and they keep doing it wrong, keep doing it wrong.
-
You're like yeah, I'm really mad about this.
-
You can have a righteous anger say if we do this again, you're
-
going to have to be gone. I could I have no problem with
-
that but but you're always looking at it really from a
-
opportunity perspective, not you're an idiot perspective.
-
I just can't believe this my gosh, I can't.
-
I mean The world does that the world belittles puts us down,
-
beats us down. Makes us feel like we're
-
nothing. And if you're actually over
-
something and you're doing that to someone, you're no different
-
than the world. Now I can be upset with somebody
-
and be upset with a decision they made or how they handle
-
something. But at the end of the day, we're
-
going to talk about how we're going to correct it and then it
-
the meetings unless they walk out on me.
-
The meeting will end your awesome, and you got this.
-
You want to know how my mean? He's usually are you're awesome.
-
Here's the problem. We can fix it.
-
You're awesome in a nutshell. Right, very rarely is I can't
-
believe and we started him with the problem always highlight
-
something that but that's me, I'm highlighting, you know what?
-
You know what you've done so far has been really amazing. but, So
-
all you didn't mean it really would, then Jesus didn't mean
-
Revelation when he went to the churches.
-
He says, now you guys have done this, it's been pretty amazing,
-
but I have this one thing against you Now, do you think he
-
didn't me the good stuff? He said up front, he said it's
-
of the problem I have. This is how you can correct it.
-
If you correct it great. If you don't, you're fired
-
basically a movie candle, right? The Lord will fire.
-
You Are you hear me? The Lord's, not obligated to
-
keep you on the payroll? I must say that again, the Lord
-
is not obligated to keep you on the payroll.
-
I mean he said he's told some of his you Wicked, what he thought
-
of one with the one talent that was on his payroll, you lazy?
-
Wicked servant. You're fired.
-
Just say, Amen. Anyway, all right.
-
So, when we do our job descriptions were given
-
boundaries of what to do and what not to do, all right?
-
The judgments then that people are assigned the areas that
-
people can function in, whether if you're an employee, they're
-
giving you a boundary to function in and then they're
-
training, you through, whatever, you know, Corporation or
-
organization, you work for how you are to handle those
-
situations. They are to train, you teach
-
you. Now, again, sometimes people are
-
Doing good training. I get it.
-
That's where you have to rely on the Holy Ghost.
-
That's where you do some self-taught stuff.
-
But again, you're being self-taught not to take over the
-
company. But to do the position that
-
they've given you the best period, I like a testimony.
-
Pastor Hagen gives just gave it recently that back in the day
-
when he was in Texas, he worked on a particular line.
-
I think it was at the railroad and they would bring boxcars in,
-
they had to unload them and send them.
-
And one particular manager was like, Hey, can you do this in
-
the guy was like, No And he said, hey, can you do this?
-
And it was like, no, can you do this and said, Hagen can you do
-
it? He said, yes, sir.
-
I can do it and he said, all right, you be here tomorrow and
-
you can do that. And the employer, you his fellow
-
employee says, you've never done that before.
-
You don't know nothing. He says well you know number one
-
I've been around it. I've watched it a little bit so
-
I'm familiar. He said but you know there was a
-
library and I can go read. Now they have Google back then
-
so we had to go Library. I mean, we have so many YouTube
-
videos right now. Now, I'm not telling you that if
-
you're, you know, Hospital, receptionist, you know, check
-
and patients in and the doctor says we got open, heart surgeon
-
Mark, can you do this? Yeah, I'm not saying do that.
-
I want you, YouTube tonight will be fine.
-
I don't think they're going to let you in any way.
-
And we're probably not at risk at that, although, if I was on a
-
desert island, and I needed you to do something, and the Lord
-
said, And we had access to YouTube video, we'll watch it
-
together, because we'll do what's necessary to survive.
-
Just don't eat me when I go under.
-
All right. Amen.
-
So who is God looking for though?
-
In when it comes to oversight? Exodus clearly lines out who it
-
is that God's looking for. In verse 21, it says this, they
-
need to be able men, and when I say men, it can be women, okay?
-
In this context in today, so you got to be able Right now, Abel
-
doesn't mean experienced. It does mean capacity.
-
You got to be able, right? You need to be at a hat.
-
Be at a know that you're going to have to handle those
-
pressures and have that responsibility, all right.
-
The second thing is you need to fear God.
-
You know in all of us can fear God, I do not want to do
-
anything that would displease my father.
-
I want to do it with Integrity. I want to do it up, right.
-
That's how I want to function. Now, listen you could be doing
-
something unaware. But when things get brought to
-
your attention, then you got to be like, okay I need to make an
-
adjustment and even the Lord will give you Mercy in a season
-
to transition. if you have all intentions to get it right, but
-
if you're always trying to stay under the radar, then you're not
-
actually being honest. Because he talks about dishonest
-
gain, that means doing something, not honest to gain
-
something. So Integrity has to be a part of
-
and no matter where we're at, whether we own a company,
-
whether we manage something or where employee somewhere, we can
-
be honest people, Honesty means I'm not going to do it.
-
Dishonorable, the manager asked me to do this to cheat on the
-
numbers. I'm not doing it, even if it
-
means. They fire me.
-
There's another job because this paycheck doesn't own me.
-
My father does. And if you will stand for that,
-
instead of say, but how am I going to take care of my kids?
-
If I don't do this, I'll lose my job and that's the devil giving
-
you a spirit of fear. But you don't fear God.
-
Because if you're willing to compromise your integrity, which
-
then becomes blackmail, later on Yeah.
-
You've got to be honest enough saying I'm not going to do it
-
with a I'm a it's going to cost you you know.
-
It's going to promote me now I you may never see it, but I'm
-
not here to impress you because I don't have to show off to you
-
but my Lord knows. Amen.
-
At the end of the day was Joseph Brothers, not honest in
-
business, And dad said, good go, see how they're doing son
-
because you've already brought me reports that they've not been
-
honest. And what did the brothers do for
-
his honesty? So, neem as a slave pocketed,
-
the money. And thought they were done with
-
it. Are you hearing me but a decade
-
later our little more, they're hungry, and Joseph is eating in
-
a palace. They don't know it, but he is
-
and then they show up to get food from their brother.
-
Now, how do I know the brother ain't like I'll show them who I
-
am, because the minute he got promoted to prime minister and
-
is amassing. All this wealth through the
-
seven years of plenty. He never went to pharaoh and
-
says, you know, my dad is in Canaan and he doesn't know where
-
I'm at. And I got some brothers there,
-
man. I can, I can I if I found favor
-
with, can I go and just tell him I'm alive.
-
Why didn't you visit them? I'll tell you why, because the
-
dream said, they'd come to him and bow down, he knew if I go
-
back where they're at, they will never bow to me.
-
That I don't have authority there.
-
This is where the authority is. So, you know, I'll just wait
-
till they show up and they said, and they and they did They sure
-
did. You know what the problem is,
-
that we don't have what the father has.
-
It's called long-suffering Because we want our promotion
-
now. We want to reach the Pinnacle
-
before everyone else. We want to be the best young.
-
But what if the Lord wants you to hit your Peak at 86?
-
And that Peak is a global company that is on every major
-
continent that now has the resource to supply widows and
-
orphans so much money that you're building them and all
-
these nations. But because you wanted it at 25
-
or at 33, you compromise and though you have that beautiful
-
house on two or three private islands, You never became what
-
God wanted you to be. And when you stand before the
-
Lord, all of it burns up. Just say, Amen.
-
Anyway, see because the world is always jockeying for the power.
-
We have the power. I said we have the power where
-
the children of the king and Children of the King still lead
-
by serving. We don't lead by Leading, we
-
lead by serving. We're always trying to help
-
somebody else find their potential.
-
Amen. Oh, praise the Lord.
-
So the qualifications for the position, then were men of men
-
who fear God men of Truth. And haters of dishonest gain,
-
aren't you? Glad you're a person of Truth
-
can't be a person of Lies. Can be personal I if you if you
-
sell a product, don't exaggerate it.
-
Be honest. Don't exaggerate it.
-
Don't lie about it. To line your pocket.
-
Good. All right.
-
Well, I won't get a bonus, I want, you know, they're
-
pressuring me to sell this and I don't care.
-
Be honest. If you're a car salesman,
-
sometimes it's better for you to say, you don't need this car.
-
I mean, we can get it at, get you in it today, but it is going
-
to Max your budget and honestly it's just not worth it.
-
Yeah, but then I can't feed my family.
-
Again, who are you working for? Because God can send the next
-
person that's going to buy a fleet of trucks.
-
That pays cash. Because you were honest with the
-
one that really just doesn't need that new shiny car that's
-
really not their problem. They have other issues, and they
-
think this new car is going to solve it.
-
And if they're like, no, I'll go to someone else in your other
-
guy sells it. At least you were honest.
-
He liked Lord, you know, I didn't try to put them into
-
something that would hurt them. All right.
-
So we want to be men of fear or people of fear, who fear God,
-
people who are of the truth and they we hate dishonest gain.
-
You understand, oversight, numbers May Vary, do not get
-
upset if somebody has is bigger than you.
-
I mean, that's insecurity talking.
-
Insecurity. I always know an insecure
-
pastor. because they asked me, how many people are in my
-
church, Always no. What does that matter?
-
I never ask how many are in there because I'm not
-
intimidated with any size. Now there are some that are
-
larger that have some systems that I totally could learn from
-
because the reality is, they're managing things at a scale
-
larger than I am. And there's some experience now
-
that they have that my capacity may not have taken me to yet.
-
But just because someone has a great system in more people
-
doesn't mean he's actually producing Godly God-fearing
-
people. They come to us is not because
-
we have experience as well as we're capable because we have an
-
anointing. Because I know that there's a
-
day coming, that they're coming and they're not going to say,
-
are you looking to bother going to say the Lord told us to get I
-
don't we're going to give it to you because the wealth of the
-
wicked is laid up for the righteous.
-
Why would you meet with somebody?
-
You can't. Because the wealth of the wicked
-
is laid up for the righteous. He could be, they got in our
-
presence and that was enough for them to say, you know what, and
-
they could come back and say, you know, I remember our meeting
-
and I'm in my moms like can what can we do?
-
How can we partner with, how can I just give it to you?
-
I mean I think you'll do something with it.
-
That can happen, you know? I don't know what the Holy Ghost
-
is talking to them about right now.
-
This is the world, we live in where there's, there's
-
lawlessness and nobody wants to work and laziness and everybody
-
wants to see themselves on their own phone.
-
We have a leadership vacuum. People want to be influencers,
-
but don't even know what influence actually means.
-
They want to coach everybody and can't coach themselves.
-
We are seeing an epidemic of the blind leading the blind, but in
-
there, somebody's going to say, I want to see.
-
And it's going to be like, they're on a side of a road and
-
they're going to hear you came into town or you walked into the
-
business. And they going to do like blind,
-
man, Bartimaeus to start crying out for your name.
-
Come, talk to me. Help me.
-
How did you take your company and do that?
-
How did you rise up to management?
-
How did you, you know, do this, do that.
-
Whatever the case may be, come to me.
-
Help me. I'm crying out, for Mercy.
-
Show me how you did it. You point them to Jesus, we can
-
take over people. I said we can take over So
-
oversight varies and numbers at the end of the day, it doesn't
-
matter how many people is on your Workforce, doesn't matter
-
how many people you oversee as a manager.
-
It doesn't matter how many Pete, how low you are in the company.
-
You may only have to manage yourself.
-
So, start there, be the best employee show up on time and
-
shocked, everybody. I mean, be early be willing to
-
stay late and not complain about well, you know, it's almost
-
quitting Tom and you're over there.
-
Ready to clock out 15 minutes before when they ask for
-
voluntary, you know, over time. Be Willie.
-
Now, I understand. We have families, I get that.
-
But at the end of the day open, have an open conversation with
-
Your spouse and say, listen I feel led that at times, I mean,
-
I could just do it. And take a couple hours.
-
I mean, cause nobody wants to do nothing and it'll be worth a
-
little sacrifice in the long run for us.
-
At the end of the day, well, that was just want to take
-
advantage of you. No one can take it.
-
People can take advantage of you but God will not let you be
-
taken advantage of which means you may feel like you're being
-
taken advantage of. But God is watching it all and
-
he'll reward you openly it happened.
-
Man. Now when we all come together
-
and do this, listen we share a burden.
-
When we're all running behind the vision, we all share it.
-
He says you shouldn't bear. This burden alone, which means
-
it becomes a shared burden. You should fill a portion of the
-
responsibility of the place you work with.
-
You should have some response. Not a not.
-
Well, I don't care about this thing.
-
I just gave my check. I'm going home.
-
Those are easy people to weed out people in management and
-
owners. Can it easily identify your
-
atmosphere? When you are actually taking a
-
share of the burden? A share of the burden.
-
Okay, so we share the burden, are they share the burden?
-
So when you share the burden, guess what?
-
You're going to feel the burden, you'll feel it.
-
But don't take on the burden. Or think you're the only one,
-
who understands the burden. Because that's when Absalom is
-
created. I mean, I'm the only one.
-
I think about this morning, anybody else.
-
I should be running this place if they would only put a remote
-
me. Okay, you're going to feel the
-
burden. But not in his full weight.
-
I tell this to any Pastor, that's not overseeing a vision,
-
senior pastor lead pass or whatever the little crazy phrase
-
they want to use today is the guy in charge, okay?
-
So to speak. All right, but anyone under that
-
when they believe God wants them to Pastor one day.
-
I tell them, I can train you everything but there's one thing
-
in all the training I do you will not be able to experience.
-
Audience this until you become the pastor period.
-
And that is the weight of the final say, because until it's
-
yours, you'll never know what it's like to have that weight.
-
when I was with, um, when I was with Pastor David imai, we had a
-
situation where one of our youth leaders, a lady had had a
-
sex-change top, only okay, didn't know about the bottom.
-
And had a nephew was in our youth ministry.
-
Extremely sweet person born again, this is pre salvation but
-
we've had surgery. They're single By.
-
All right, a eunuch for the Lord.
-
Can I say it that way? Well.
-
The ex relationship found out they were in church working with
-
youth. We did not know the the church
-
wasn't set up to ask this question.
-
Have you had a sex change? Then ask that question.
-
Right? So they came to my house great
-
person. I mean, what was not perversion
-
with the kids. Great person.
-
Heart changed, new spirit, no issues ever.
-
Said you know my my ex-boyfriend is wanting to cause me trouble.
-
Okay okay well there's something I got to tell you I said okay
-
just tell me what's the problem you know what work did he say so
-
then she tells me is he? And then the first thing she
-
says is I know you want to know what my name was.
-
I said no I don't want to know what your name was.
-
I said you're a new creature in Christ and we're just going to
-
focus their I said but now that you told me, I have to tell
-
Pastor David. And what that does in youth
-
ministry I cannot tell you that, right?
-
We pray with her, she left and that day.
-
I was like, praise God. I am not having to make this
-
decision day. Went all Pastor David.
-
Now, at the end of the day, Pastor Dave, and I by All
-
rights, collaborated on what to do.
-
And it came that we had to take her out of the youth ministry
-
because if anyone found out people just they'll crucify you
-
man. I get it, I get it.
-
So, we're gonna have to safeguard the ministry at the
-
end of the day. But we would put them with
-
adults and we moved her to College and Career close by All
-
rights. They were an adult.
-
You know, it heard them really did because they love the youth
-
ministry, but a life decision. Hindered the capacity in our
-
culture for them to stay in that area.
-
All right, they later on. Got sick time later.
-
I went visit him at the hospital and they told me their male name
-
because I told him back and I said now when I see you You
-
going to be different? Because I'll see you as God
-
originally intended. You understand that?
-
When I'll know you in heaven, but I'll see you as God always
-
intended you. And they said my name was Donny.
-
I'll see Donnie one day. you know, the Devil is a deceiver he
-
destroys, that's what he does, destroy people's lives, but once
-
you've made the choice and then you come to know Christ,
-
Sometimes it's hard to reverse certain things.
-
Now I told her straight up, I said, you understand, you're
-
going to stay single the rest of your life.
-
There's no way that you can be in a relationship.
-
Because of that choice. And be honorable, at this point,
-
you know what, they had no problem with that no issue.
-
Right? Because at the end of the day,
-
they just want to love Jesus. My point is, I didn't have the
-
final weight on that. I felt the burden.
-
But when I became pastor of anchor Faith, Church st.
-
Augustine, I know what Pastor David felt.
-
This is why. I know why David wouldn't kill
-
Saul. Because he's like, I know what
-
the anointing is and I know what he has capacity to have, if he'd
-
only repent. And who am I to touch God's
-
anointed? Wow!
-
Okay. Are you hearing me?
-
So, if you're not over at all, you're going to feel the burden
-
of it, you feel the burden of anchor, Faith, Church, and our
-
faith projects and things but don't think you are the only one
-
and that you're the only one who understands you understand to a
-
degree. But with us all doing it
-
together. Laura wait, is she in here?
-
Lower waist and up lower weight and I we left the other.
-
I mean, it's been months. Now, could have been year.
-
I don't know. We left too driving.
-
I had my vehicle. She was out stopped in the
-
middle of the road. I like what in the world is she
-
doing something to Mel the road here on the campus?
-
So put I said, Laura way was problem.
-
Well someone had picked up one of the concrete you know parking
-
spots and put it out you know I guess to sabotage someone when
-
they come through. Sir like that.
-
Who's that? I said, well, you know, I'll go
-
back. Find somebody to get in little
-
ways like no, we can do it. Okay.
-
All right, we'll get been with Unis girl, right.
-
So she got down there and lo and behold she shared the burden of
-
that concrete parking and we moved it out of the way.
-
She still brags that we did that.
-
Yeah. Hey man, you sit down.
-
But I knew I can't do that by moving this by myself.
-
Now, if I was Pastor Mike, I to move to by myself out of through
-
it, but I'm not, I know my capacity and I don't feel bad
-
about that if he'd have been there, he said, pastor might
-
move that I'll see you later. You go by yourself, right?
-
You're not going to help? No, it's a toothpick to you.
-
Why am I wasting my time? All right, at the end of the
-
day, we shared a burden together.
-
I do believe I carried more She felt the burden.
-
But don't you think you understood the side?
-
I had. All right.
-
Amen. You're not the only one who
-
understands the burden. All right?
-
When we all do our part, when you do your part at work,
-
whatever it may be. You actually Aid.
-
The endurance of the leader. He said, well, I don't want them
-
to endure, you want them to be there as long as God wants them
-
there. Was that the end of the day?
-
It's not you to remove them. But when it comes to church, you
-
want your pastor to be able to have endurance.
-
Right? Well, we pain buddy.
-
You do not pay me. I know it comes through the top
-
but at the end of the day, there are resources that came to me
-
long before this thing ever grew and they'll be resources long
-
after But I'm just saying we do this together.
-
There's a mandate a vision of something that's bigger than
-
ourselves and when you actually are active in the parking lot,
-
guest relations, as you know, children's youth worship,
-
whatever those area are in Outreach, family counts, all the
-
things that we do you Aid, My longevity and yours because
-
we're doing it together. And when that takes place, It
-
says, peace would come those individuals, you know, after
-
they judge them said they would leave the place in peace.
-
If we want to have peace in this church and you want to create
-
peace or be a peacemaker on the job site.
-
Then you want to be the one. That is doing it within the
-
boundary set, with a heart full doing it, as unto the Lord
-
fearing, God being a person of Truth, not after dishonest gain,
-
and I'm telling you, bring priests into that environment
-
and whatever promotion comes comes, whatever it is, but you
-
will bring peace to your co-workers that some of you've
-
already experienced this, your co-workers come to you, why?
-
Because you have the atmosphere of Peace.
-
That's why they want you to pray.
-
Pay with them when they're in chaos.
-
This is why they come to you about their problems because you
-
have an atmosphere of peace, right?
-
And this church will always function in peace when we're all
-
coming together doing exactly what were called to do.
-
I'm not asking you to do something, you're not supposed
-
to do, your responsibility is to do it with all your heart and
-
don't disqualify yourself in your position.
-
And if you'll do that, then we will take the land everything
-
that is supposed to be ours, because it will eliminate all
-
grumbling and complaining disputes or inevitable, even in
-
the church. Their disputes are inevitable in
-
the church. God should have the final say.
-
If it's in scripture, just do it.
-
Just do it. I've been accused of personal
-
agendas but I can guarantee you. I have none.
-
And if anyone who's actually been in my office and we've
-
talked about stuff, you would be lying and you know, you'd be a
-
liar if you know that I always said well what's the Bible say
-
how are we going to do that according to scripture?
-
It's nothing personal. It's at the end of the day, we
-
got to be righteous people. It's only the ones who don't
-
want to do the Bible. It says you're off.
-
Period. but if you do the word, There's only one truth will find
-
it for whatever situation to dispute we have and we'll all
-
get in alignment with it period when we do how we not have
-
peace. Amen.
-
Have you learned anything? All right, let's pray.
-
Father, we love you. We honor you.
-
We thank you that you're teaching us to be leaders in a
-
world. That's Fallen.
-
They need great leadership. And we have lead followers in
-
the room, people who know how to tap into the Holy Ghost.
-
Not be led by their emotions, led by their situation that led
-
by every report that comes into their place of business.
-
They're able to call those things that be not as though
-
they were, they are the calm in the storm, they are the voice of
-
sanity. Among.
-
Insanity. They are order in the midst of
-
Chaos. And they were prepared for such
-
a time as this. Hallelujah.
-
If you're here today, and Jesus is not Lord of your life, I will
-
not take much time because the majority of you as I look
-
around, probably are in the kingdom of God, but I do not
-
want to not give an opportunity tonight.
-
If you have never made Jesus, Lord of your life, you're always
-
going to be in calamity. And it's time to get into peace
-
and that only comes to a profession of faith that Jesus
-
Christ is Lord. Thank you so much for listening
