  1. Thanks for checking out the anchor Faith, Message podcast

  2. from st. Augustine Florida.

  3. Now, enjoy this message. So that being said, let's look

  4. at Luke Chapter 19 Verse 13. As you as it is our custom.

    Luke 19:13

  5. And when I say custom because the Lord spoke to me last year,

  6. that I do a lot of leadership, training for the staff, we have

  7. 76 employees and growing as an organization between all the

  8. elements that are connected to Anchor of a church.

  9. And so with that being said, you know, we have to learn to

  10. develop as a leader to navigate the different businesses that we

  11. are. Rin.

  12. And you know in the world there's all kinds of leadership

  13. seminars. I mean my gosh man.

  14. If I could charge what the world charges for leadership seminars,

  15. you know, we probably pay them all off right now and the things

  16. that we're saying are actually better than most of the stuff.

  17. They, these people are spending thousands upon tens of thousands

  18. of dollars for because in the first place.

  19. But with that being said, you know, we do leadership and the

  20. Lord spoke to me. And he says, you need to begin

  21. to do some Leadership Lessons on Wednesday nights to the

  22. congregation because they were They're in the workforce, they

  23. are out and about in society and they will rise to the top as

  24. they grow in their leadership at work because it's not just for

  25. the church, okay? And so we began to do these

  26. things. Well, we started to want to do

  27. it on the last Wednesday of the month and we have five

  28. Wednesday. So I ended up picking this one,

  29. because it just got impressed in my spirit.

  30. We should do one tonight and so we're going to do that.

  31. Amen. So when Luke Chapter 19 Verse

    Luke 19:13

  32. 13. Again, this for everybody in the

  33. house, it says this. And then he called his ten

  34. servants and delivered them ten pounds and said unto them

  35. occupy. Till I come The New American

  36. Standard says that this way and he gave and he called 10 of his

  37. slaves and gave them ten again coins and said to them do

  38. business with this until I come back.

  39. Do business, are you hearing me? So the the Father, when he

  40. deposited in us his Spirit he expects us to do some business.

  41. Unfortunately, you know many times we hear the gospel in the

  42. lens of I've received eternal life so when I'm going to go

  43. somewhere when I die. But the Lord's actually saying

  44. you know, I'm depositing something in you and I want you

  45. to do something with it while you're there.

  46. Cause then once you're absent from the body and be present

  47. with me, you're going to give an account for it.

  48. Now that's not that that that deposit is not what makes you go

  49. to heaven because in the context that you know here, Lord I'm

  50. going to have to give a report for what I did while I was on

  51. the earth, serving you and does that, let me in know, you're in

  52. the point, is that what did you do?

  53. Once you became a child of God, and there is that great ther, is

  54. that excuse me, judgment seat of Christ.

  55. Moment that we're going to have with him one-on-one where he's

  56. going to say, okay? Let's talk about what you did

  57. with what I gave you while you were in the Earth.

  58. How did you function with it? How did you do business with it?

  59. How did you interact in society? Okay, Jesus, understood that

  60. when he came to Earth, he was in business.

  61. Okay, in business, it was Jesus ran a business.

  62. He ran a business, okay? He was in a business and it says

  63. that this way in Luke, 2:49 the Amplified, classic says that

  64. this way, and he said that them, how is it that you had to look

  65. for me? Did you not see and know how it

  66. was necessary as a duty for me to be in my father's house and

  67. occupied about my father's business.

  68. Now obviously Jesus I was about 12 13 years old.

  69. When he makes this statement, he already knows the business that

  70. he is to conduct while in the planet at that young of an age

  71. and when his family thought, they were his mom mother and

  72. father thought they were with them had left with them, they

  73. get three days in only to find out.

  74. He's not among us, and we need to go back and backtrack and

  75. find him, and it took him a few days when they got back to town,

  76. even find him. And there he is.

  77. In the synagogue teaching. The scripture.

  78. To the scribes and they are blown away at his wisdom.

  79. But he looks to his parents and says, did you not see and know

  80. that it is necessary as a what as a duty for me to be in my

  81. father's house and occupied about my father's business?

  82. Are we about our father's business?

  83. I said, are we about our father's business?

  84. Well, we'll find out Matthew. 16:21 the 23, the reason why

    Matthew 16:21

  85. we're going Here is because you've got to understand

  86. something. We are in a family business but

  87. you got to admit, there's a difference between family.

  88. And family business. There's a natural family and

  89. then there's family business. And we've got to Define these

  90. roles. Because in your workplace, you

  91. may work with natural family members or you may be around

  92. those who have natural family members that work in the same

  93. environment. Are you hearing me?

  94. And then you need to know how to conduct yourself so that you can

  95. always be about business and not be not be hindered because you

  96. allow a natural family. Lie to hinder you.

  97. Now, maybe your natural family doesn't work with you, but your

  98. natural family can pull on you from work.

  99. Now, I'm not telling you to be a workaholic nor my telling you to

  100. ignore your natural family. I'm telling you to learn to

  101. define the difference between it.

  102. Because if you do not learn how to define the difference between

  103. it and keep your emotional state where Should be then it will

  104. affect you in your leadership ability at work.

  105. Now, just for us to set the ground rules, okay?

  106. What do you do for a living? Okay, if you just thought in

  107. your mind, the title of your job, then you don't know who you

  108. are. That is not what you do for a

  109. living. The Bible tells us that we are

  110. to live by faith. So what do you do for a living?

  111. I live by faith. What do you do for a living?

  112. I live by faith. What do I mean?

  113. What's your job? Oh, what's my job?

  114. Oh, that's totally different. At my job, my title is, but I

  115. don't identify with my title. The title identify with is in

  116. Christ, right? And I live by faith because if

  117. that's the case, if that's the case, then I will a job will

  118. never stress me to the point. that I will compromise my

  119. principles in order to keep it nor will the current income I

  120. receive from it caused me so much stress that if my king told

  121. me to depart and go somewhere else without telling me where

  122. I'm going to land first, I can still put in my two weeks notice

  123. by faith. Are you hearing me?

  124. Because when you know, the family business, Right then you

  125. won't allow natural family to stop things.

  126. I have seen many natural families fall apart because the

  127. natural family decided to take a promotion somewhere in another

  128. Community because they naturally came together.

  129. Like this is better for our family.

  130. This is more money for us. This allows us to go here and do

  131. that and never take into consideration.

  132. Does the father want it? And where is he planting you

  133. when you get there. Well, we'll find a church when

  134. we get there because we treat church as if it's optional to

  135. job yet church is the most important thing in our lives

  136. because we are the body of Christ of which he is the head

  137. of the body and he's the head of the church.

  138. So we should be more concerned about where we going to church

  139. than where we getting a job. Because many promotions have

  140. left people bankrupt their marriages destroyed with loss.

  141. I look just say men. Anyway, so again, our Contour

  142. are, you know, Foundation to minister this message is that

  143. first? You have to remember that I live

  144. by faith. That I'm in Christ, I have a

  145. place of employment that God allows me to demonstrate the

  146. kingdom. Do we have that?

  147. Okay, with that being said, Jesus did not allow natural

  148. relationships to hinder his business because even at work,

  149. you can develop natural relationships with people that

  150. if you do not maintain your role of Duty, you will compromise.

  151. Just say, Amen. Anyway, come on, I'm not even

  152. hardly and I need y'all to help support a little bit easier.

  153. Don't make me feel like I'm plowing, right?

  154. You know, they're obviously I've been in outside of the church

  155. before and, you know, there's a system specially from where, you

  156. know, in the South and it's just call it the South, but I think

  157. it's probably everywhere, we just happened to call it.

  158. The good old boy system and that is, basically you scratch my

  159. back, I'll scratch yours. We're kind of looking after each

  160. other, but most of the time that means if you don't do something,

  161. right? I'm not going to say anything

  162. about will do some, right? I'm not gonna say anything or we

  163. gonna let each other slide? So in essence, we let the

  164. natural relationship stop us from Duty.

  165. We allow the emotions of wanting to be accepted in are employed

  166. group. Instead of honor the vision, Of

  167. the place that we have been entrusted.

  168. I think the next leadership, when I'll talk about that a

  169. little bit more, okay? Because then we'll find out if

  170. you're just hired. Because when you realize I've

  171. been placed by God for a season. They could be a very long

  172. season, could be till you retire season so to speak, right?

  173. It could be, but the point is you're in a season and you are

  174. to make influence for the king and you can't do it.

  175. If the principles of the Kingdom, the father's business

  176. is being compromised because you want the natural relationships

  177. with your co-workers or family members for that matter, to

  178. dictate, how you respond to them.

  179. And if you're going to rise if you want God to bring promotion

  180. to your life, then you're going to have to do it the father's

  181. business. Way, you got to understand,

  182. there's Duty. So we see here, Matthew 16:21 to

    Matthew 16:21–23

  183. 23. Jesus said, look, I'm about my

  184. father's business, he never came off of that, but he developed

  185. some very tight relationships in his pursuit of doing God's will.

  186. In fact, one of those is Heap and picked 12 people to travel

  187. with him hand-picked. Mmm.

  188. And these 12 plus others travel with him, there were women, who

  189. traveled with him as well. There were people that went

  190. along in each place, he did, he develop some very close

  191. relationship and of the 12. There were three in particularly

  192. that he did more with than the rest, right?

  193. And those three were Peter, James and John, right?

  194. They were very tight. Well, here we are.

  195. Jesus is talking to all of his disciples in the 16th chapter

  196. and he's beginning to let them in on a little more of his

  197. purpose, the business that he's about and he says, who do people

  198. say that I am, you know, and they give them the world's

  199. response and the religious response and he said, but who do

  200. you say that I am Peter jumps up and says what you're the Christ,

  201. the son of the Living God what he do.

  202. That's right. God, had flesh and Blood, you

  203. would have not gotten it like that.

  204. It is revealed to you, by the spirit, my father's rebuild it.

  205. Well, well, done, Peter, right. Then he said now call upon the

  206. Revelation that I am the Christ, I'm going to build my church.

  207. He says, and then he goes on and says, and I'm gonna give you the

  208. keys to the kingdom. Whatever you bind on Earth,

  209. shall be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth.

  210. Going up, be loosed in heaven and then he goes on and said now

  211. listen, I'm gonna die. Right.

  212. But on the third day going to be raised up.

  213. But when Peter heard he was going to die.

  214. What did Peter do? Peter got into the natural

  215. relationship and he began to say, not going to happen.

  216. So he Braves takes Jesus pulls him over to the side because we

  217. type and he needs to know how much he loves him and how much

  218. he defends him and how much he is there to support him and he

  219. says listen may it never be. Right.

  220. He says, right here, in verse 20.

  221. And from that time, Jesus began to show his disciples that he

  222. must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and

  223. chief priests be killed and be raised up on the third day.

  224. Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him saying, God

  225. forbid. It Lord, this shall never happen

  226. to you, you're not gonna die. What's not gonna happen, but

  227. what does Jesus say? But Jesus said to Peter, get

  228. behind me. Satan, you are a stumbling block

  229. to me. for you are not setting your mind on God's interests but

  230. man's you're setting your mind. You're setting your mind not on

  231. God's interest but man's the minute you let your mind set on

  232. a man's interest and when I say man, I'm not talking, just

  233. another man, your I'm not just saying you, I'm saying it could

  234. be another person husband's, it could be your wives wives, it

  235. could be your husband's. One of the most challenging

  236. things for a spouse is when another spouse is having

  237. conflict, and they basically won't resolve it before they go

  238. to work. Or while they're at work, they

  239. call with conflict. Not recognizing they have a

  240. duty. And why do I want to put my

  241. spouse and emotional stress? About how I'm feeling or how

  242. that what we talked about. Because you failed to realize

  243. that there's a duty they have to represent the kingdom.

  244. Okay. The minute we allow our natural

  245. relationship to be able to bleed over when someone is on

  246. assignment. Again, it's not the title, you

  247. are, it's the assignment you have.

  248. Right. Sydney.

  249. Stand up Sydney. You're the only Sydney I know.

  250. Sydney, is the assistant coach for the Flagler women's

  251. basketball. Amen.

  252. Now she has an assignment in this school, do they pay you?

  253. They do pay her. Now she could say this is my

  254. career, right? The her title is assistant

  255. coach, you know, maybe there's a bigger title with that, I'm not

  256. sure, but let's just keep it at that.

  257. Okay, we're I'm good assistant coach, right?

  258. So here she has title, she has access to place but her

  259. assignment Is to show these women that come from all over

  260. the country, the kingdom. And you're doing a really good

  261. job of that. Amen.

  262. Right. Amen.

  263. So she then, although she has to improve her natural skills and

  264. work with a coach specifically her.

  265. Number one assignment is to reflect the king to reflect the

  266. king to the point. That if the university catches

  267. wind, Of her godliness. And all of a sudden they begin

  268. to say you can't live Godly like this on the campus.

  269. Then she's going to be in a place.

  270. Now, I know where she's going to go.

  271. She going to go. This is just who I am.

  272. I can't deny me, right. Amen.

  273. But God's opening doors of Flagler right now.

  274. I'm telling his open doors wide. Open is coming more and more.

  275. Amen. So here we want to pray for her.

  276. Pray for what she's doing. My point is is that she's not an

  277. assistant coach. She's a Believer who lives by

  278. faith represents the kingdom. That is in a title position

  279. called assistant coach where she influences for the kingdom of

  280. God. Women, God brings women from

  281. around the world, you can be seated.

  282. Thank you, amen. Which means then if coach Mo,

  283. who's the head coach tries to get her to, which he would not,

  284. because he's a Believer to. But if he tried to Get her to

  285. compromise her standard of living for something natural.

  286. Like we're going to get this recruit, but we're going to do

  287. this. But that violates the rules.

  288. Right. Well, I can't do that because I

  289. can't let my natural relationship with you.

  290. Interrupt my duty to please my father.

  291. Are you hearing me, okay? Jesus would not let natural

  292. relationship. Stop him from his purpose.

  293. Period. Let's go on Matthew 12 verses 46

    Matthew 12:46–50

  294. to 50. It says this while he was still

  295. speaking to the crowds his mother and his brothers were

  296. standing outside seeking to speak to him.

  297. Someone said to him, behold your mother and your brothers are

  298. standing outside seeking to speak with you but Jesus

  299. answered the one who was telling him and said, who is my mother?

  300. And who are my brothers? What did Jesus develop Amnesia?

  301. Right was Jesus crazy. His mama probably thought he was

  302. crazy when he made the statement may be right, you know, because

  303. I could hear a lot of Mama's right now.

  304. If your child says who my mama boy, right?

  305. You've heard me say before, when we read these Pastor scriptures,

  306. The Mamas are thinking I brought you into this world.

  307. See, finish it for me. I get it right.

  308. That's how much I love them. I get it a mother's love, but

  309. Jesus goes on and stretching out his hand towards his disciples.

  310. His what? And he said, behold, My mother

  311. and my brothers then he defines who his family is.

  312. For whoever does the will of my father, who is in heaven.

  313. He is my brother and sister and mother in the first account.

  314. Matthew 16, we see Jesus will not let natural relationships.

  315. He has would someone who's not of a bloodline that he is of

  316. hinder him from a accomplishing, the role or assignment, God has

  317. for his life here now, is his mama This is family name.

  318. This is the one who gave birth to him, the one who fed him as a

  319. child who nursed him on her own breast.

  320. The one who changed his diapers, The one who cared for him and

  321. yet when this conversation comes about your your natural family

  322. wants your attention, he did not come off the platform for them.

  323. You know, in our society we say, family is everything. in fact, a

  324. lot of places even in pulpits, a Families First, Now, I'm not

  325. telling you to not honor your husband wife relationship

  326. children. I'm not saying, I'm just saying

  327. according to scripture. You cannot allow that natural

  328. Dynamic to hinder you from your Godly call.

  329. Nor should we on the other side of in natural family?

  330. Tried to hinder. Someone, who is going after the

  331. call of God, for their life, I'm going to pick on Randy clay and

  332. Joshua clay for a moment. John Randy clay raised his boys.

  333. Both of them. Okay, to follow God, he did that

  334. and then he spoke to them. And said if you ever think that

  335. your call dammit Ministry or do something with the Lord he goes,

  336. I'll under right, I'll do it because he always at the time

  337. saw himself as a businessman only.

  338. Now in the back of Mind. It was obvious that Randy had a

  339. desire that they would follow him in the family business,

  340. okay. He's a graphic artist he had a

  341. sign company still does today and in Oklahoma and so as a

  342. result of that, you know, his boys work with him, trained him,

  343. his oldest son. Again, following a little bit of

  344. scripture, you notice in my first board, going to get a

  345. double portion, kind of stuff. I mean, it's the one that's

  346. gonna take the family business, taught him, all the stuff

  347. Joshua. Died when I first met him.

  348. How are you 12? 13, 13.

  349. He was 13. He's the one who introduced me

  350. to graphic design the first place on a platform called

  351. coreldraw. And so we would function in this

  352. and we would develop our own logos.

  353. In the youth ministry. I had a great time in that

  354. particular environment, we had a great time together, right?

  355. And so we work these things. Well, you understand, the only

  356. reason he knows ass because his father works in the environment

  357. for the family business. Well, Joshua and I had developed

  358. Relationship. God, ultimately calls me here to

  359. Anchor, Faith Church to start this church and he had yet to

  360. graduate well upon him coming into his senior year, you know,

  361. where he was the top of his class.

  362. It's true. There's also the bottom of its

  363. class. He was the best student more

  364. student at the same time because when you're homeschooled, so

  365. what that looks like, but he's going to graduate. and he tells

  366. his father, I want to move to Florida and help Pastor Earle

  367. with the church. This was not Randy, Clays plan.

  368. This was not the father's business that he had perceived.

  369. And so I remember having a conversation with him on the

  370. phone, you know? He thinks he wants to come down

  371. there. He doesn't even have a plan.

  372. I'll never forget that. He didn't have a plan, you know,

  373. he needs to put. So basically, he negotiated

  374. because he's a businessman. He says this, what you're going

  375. to do, you're going to have to give me a plan.

  376. I want you to submit me plan. And in a year, we'll talk about

  377. it. Right, well Joshua for the year.

  378. Did the work work with him? All kinds of stuff happened.

  379. Honestly, the Assumption was with Randall at the time was

  380. that, he'll it's a passing thing with pasta, or he'll get it.

  381. I'm Pastor a won't matter, right?

  382. He's just was close to him, he misses him.

  383. He was just a little boy and his youth pastor, but, you know, I

  384. he's in the real world now. I get him a little bit more

  385. money. We'll do a little more thing.

  386. Thing, you know, give me some more Prestige family business.

  387. he turned how old were you then 19 is that when this happened

  388. tonight 18 when did it first conversation have more you 17

  389. 17. So, did you move here?

  390. And when you're 18? Okay, so 17, he had his year and

  391. then 18 comes and he says, I want to move.

  392. Randy is shocked. So he calls me said he goes.

  393. I can't believe it man down here and still wants to come.

  394. You know? I said, listen, what's the worst

  395. can happen? I said you're sending him to me

  396. number one, number two, if he fails, I will pack him up and

  397. send him on. This is no problem, we'll do it.

  398. So The father's bit and I told him, I said, have you not

  399. trained your son to hear God? And if he's saying, he's heard

  400. the Lord, why all the sudden now, you're the only one who can

  401. hear for him? I caution you parents, you're

  402. raising your children are going to get 16. 17, 18 years old.

  403. They may not have the plan. You think they should have.

  404. It's amazing. How many parents push their

  405. children into Direction all along bringing them the church

  406. and tell them to follow God. Only when they decide I've heard

  407. God and want to do something that you're like, that can't be

  408. God. Because how are you going to be

  409. successful? Well, how can you not be

  410. successful if you're following God?

  411. I've known I've known way too many teenagers that have talked

  412. to me about certain things in their heart only to graduate and

  413. be pushed to college and their ship wrecked lives.

  414. Now, their degreed Shipwrecked people was it worth it.

  415. Was it worth it? So Paris, again, you're going to

  416. have, you're raising your children in church and then you

  417. want to wonder when they turn 18, if they act like they've

  418. heard something from God, that all of a sudden, you you're

  419. going to question that Open the door for it again.

  420. If they fail, you're already there to pick them up.

  421. Anyway, I would much rather them.

  422. Fail trying to hear God's voice. Then fell following your voice

  423. because if they fell following your voice, they may never hear

  424. God's voice again. Because you basically said all

  425. that I've trained you up to this point was a lie because I won't

  426. trust you to hear God for yourself.

  427. Same anyway, well but Randall did he said, let's do it.

  428. Come to find out. Josh was right?

  429. I said he was right. He heard God.

  430. Betty heard God first because later on Randy and Melanie heard

  431. God and they're in a state, they never thought they would be in

  432. ever in their wildest imagination.

  433. Did they think they would relocate?

  434. But the father had a Better Business for him.

  435. He didn't have to leave the business that he had or or sell

  436. it or anything though. He talks to the Lord about that.

  437. At the end of the day, he can still maintaining natural

  438. business, but the Lord had already given him an answer long

  439. before. And he said, if you'll take care

  440. of my business, I'll take care of yours.

  441. Hallelujah. Now, let me say this, this

  442. happens on both sides, both in churches and in natural

  443. business. The failure that most people

  444. make is they assume their children have to succeed them.

  445. And he won't even look at another option.

  446. So as a result you build the whole business around a family

  447. name and not around the will of the father.

  448. Because he may actually want the business, your building be given

  449. to someone else's name. All right.

  450. Praise the lord. We have to be able to listen

  451. some things may not go naturally through generation.

  452. Now, I'm not saying that it can't, because it can, there is

  453. an anointing on a family name. I have no problem with that, we

  454. are Kings and, you know, King succeed to Natural Kings.

  455. I don't have a problem with that.

  456. But again, it's about the father's will.

  457. This is why I've never put pressure on my children about

  458. Ministry. Nor do I ever put pressure that

  459. they'll take anchor Faith Church should the Lord tarry and I go

  460. on It doesn't guarantee that the person that runs this location

  461. has to have my last name. Or be related to me.

  462. They'll be related to me through doing the will of the father.

  463. Because who is my brother and sister and mother and son, and

  464. daughter is the one who does the will of my father.

  465. And when you understand that, then no longer will you get in

  466. competition with one another? There's no competition.

  467. Now, in the church nor will it be at work?

  468. Cause at the end of the day, you don't want to be in any position

  469. outside of the will of God for your life anyway and if you're

  470. doing the will of God for your life, he's going to promote you

  471. into the places of influence that he desires for you anyway.

  472. So you get to be free and Excel and we get to rejoice in anyone

  473. in any position. They're in, amen.

  474. Praise the Lord. So, for me every time when God

  475. allows me to travel and I allow this Pulpit to have someone else

  476. minister in, I get excited about the the plethora of individuals

  477. that I can call on to preach Sunday.

  478. Pastor Marcus is going to be minister in here in the house

  479. and I'm excited about that. Because once again, here's a

  480. gift, you know, the Lord spoke to me says you need to have

  481. Pastor Marcus Minister done prior to that.

  482. I said who's going to be on worship who can lead?

  483. So that I have you Minister. I don't want you doing both. at

  484. all, just focus on the message, praise the Lord, I'm thankful

  485. that when we can call people up, I thankful when we can put

  486. people in our anchor Faith Life placa, when we can put people,

  487. you know, in our kingdom Institute, why it allows us

  488. releasing gifts because again, we're about the father's

  489. business, you don't have to have our last name, but now if you do

  490. have our last name and doing something, we shouldn't devalue

  491. that cuz I can tell you there where they're at not based upon

  492. their name but upon their obedience Hallelujah.

  493. And let me just say this, I would be you.

  494. We would have some conversations if you treated someone who was

  495. in the will of the father wrong, whether they have my last name

  496. in it or not. So, it's definitely going to

  497. happen if they do. And it's not more.

  498. But I can tell you this from a church perspective. the people

  499. with my last name, get treated unfairly It happens now, not so

  500. much. Here I can tell you that

  501. although it has happened here, that is a true statement.

  502. And again, people are just growing.

  503. I get it. People have their own issues, we

  504. get it. That's why I train anyone.

  505. My last that just know it's coming.

  506. I've told Brittany who married into the family.

  507. I said, listen, just go get my last name.

  508. They're going to come and talk to you about the ministry.

  509. And they've done it. They try to what's going on.

  510. I'm like, you're not Pastor. Don't let don't let them put you

  511. in that corner. You just tell him.

  512. Point-blank. I don't have anything to do with

  513. that. You need to call Pastor Earle.

  514. Don't do it. Don't let them put you in a

  515. corner. Don't think that they can get

  516. closer to me through. You don't do that.

  517. It's not, right? But again, was people doing they

  518. forgot the roles they're trying to use natural.

  519. In order to manipulate and get their own natural desires, same

  520. in any way. We know this happens in natural

  521. business, family-owned businesses can have this

  522. Challenge and employees feel like, you know, well the, you

  523. know, the children can't do anything wrong.

  524. Well if you don't openly if you don't correct them like you

  525. would anybody else then you can hinder the business and you're

  526. not leading properly. Because the principal is, I am

  527. always in right relationship with the will of the father.

  528. And then, all the other relationships come out of that.

  529. Can you y'all get what I'm saying?

  530. All right, we going to see this, I'll give it to you, I'm gonna

  531. break it down bullet points now. Hallelujah, Genesis 37 1 3 2.

  532. Okay, I wrote a whole book about this guy says now Jacob lived in

  533. the land where his father had sojourned in the land of Canaan.

  534. And these are the records of the generations of Jacob.

  535. Joseph would 17 generations of Jacob Joseph, when 17 years of

  536. age was pasturing. The flock with his brothers

  537. while he was still a youth along with the Sun.

  538. The sun's of this woman and the sons of this woman, his father's

  539. wives. You know again he had four wives

  540. Joseph brought back a what bad report about them to their

  541. father. Now the points I'm about, Makar

  542. not in this in the book, Kyle's crows and constellation at all.

  543. Once again, here is context of scripture that I never pulled

  544. out. And release within the book.

  545. A dreamers reward. All right, so you won't find it

  546. in that book because again, this is what I love about scripture

  547. is that there's still more to mind.

  548. I'm glad every time I read Genesis 37, I don't go, I wrote

  549. a book on, I know all there is to know about it.

  550. I'm always looking always listening, always hearing.

  551. And as Pastor Vanessa, when she ministered the last time I've

  552. remained teachable Alright, so here's some things, we can learn

  553. because when we're defining role, when we're about our

  554. father's business, not natural, but God, the Father, then it

  555. will allow us to Define roles and keep a separation between

  556. natural family. And natural relationships with

  557. Duty. The business of God.

  558. Number one, Joseph did not let the duties of his assignment.

  559. Be confused with the relationship he had with his

  560. brothers. Are you hearing me Jeff?

  561. I'm just going to from this passage of scripture.

  562. We're going to be able to make quite a few points here.

  563. Joseph, did not let the duties of his assignment.

  564. Be confused with his relationship with his brothers

  565. in essence. He did not go to the father as a

  566. tattletale. Cause this was not about a

  567. little brother tattling on his brothers.

  568. That's natural relationship. No, he came and spoke business.

  569. Now when it comes to the flock, In essence these workers.

  570. They just happen to be my brothers are not doing it right.

  571. Nothing personal. But when it comes to business

  572. and our family business is that we Shepherds sheep, we're in the

  573. livestock and at the end of the day is to not about promotion

  574. for me this is not about me trying to look better.

  575. This is about business. So, Joseph did not let my older

  576. brothers, who own a natural would have loved for them.

  577. To like him. We already know there's conflict

  578. because he'll have a dream and talk about it and they will hate

  579. him. And yet he does not allow their

  580. hatred for him to compromise his principles.

  581. Nor we he compromised to try to win their favor, nor does he do

  582. it to cover up their wrongdoing? Because Duty To his King to his

  583. God. Is the number one thing he has

  584. to address his character before his God, which means, then this

  585. natural relationship. I'm not going to compromise.

  586. And if we don't watch out when we get in our places of

  587. business, we're going to allow the natural relationships to cut

  588. be compromised in our character towards God because we want them

  589. to like us more than we want God's approval. now, if you get

  590. God's approval, everybody at work, and hate you, And you'll

  591. still go to work with a smile. A skip in your step in essence,

  592. they will talk about you so bad and they'll say this person is

  593. so dumb they don't even know. We hate them so much but you'll

  594. be so wise that you know they hate you but you just don't let

  595. them in your mind and affect your decision-making in your

  596. emotions because you've ride, you have risen above that

  597. because you're seated somewhere in Heavenly places.

  598. See, you're already promoted without a title when you do

  599. that. Joseph understood the assignment

  600. of his father was more important that being liked by his

  601. brothers. The brothers brought their

  602. complaints home to Joseph because they failed to identify

  603. the roles of Shepherds and brothers.

  604. So in that sense, they were mad at him.

  605. Not because he was personally attacking them as a brother but

  606. because he was evaluating their performance as a shepherd.

  607. Are you hearing me? I'm Pastor Earle Hill here, but

  608. when I go to my home address, I'm my wife's husband.

  609. Those are two different roles. There are two different roles

  610. and and Pastor. Marcy has to watch that line.

  611. Because when we're here in the church, she cannot talk to me

  612. like her husband. I mean, she has access to me

  613. like nobody else. And at home, she can say it

  614. whatever. But in front of the staff, she

  615. can't cross over to the wife. Now, Pastor Marcy doesn't do

  616. something right here at the ministry and I corrected that

  617. shouldn't come home in the bed. Say him in any way.

  618. I can't believe you said we're talking about your role.

  619. I want talking about you being a wife, I was talking about the

  620. roll Vienna and vice versa. If she, if there's something I

  621. said I was going to do as a pastor in a particular

  622. assignment, and I've not accomplish it and she calls it

  623. out. I can't go home and say, I can't

  624. believe you said that. Because you're not calling me

  625. out as a husband, she's calling me out based upon the role.

  626. So when you have a family business, you got to understand

  627. this Because business can't show up at the house.

  628. And until you understand the different roles as better for

  629. you, if you're struggling to call it, I'll say, hold on a

  630. second. I'm going to put on my, you

  631. know, owner hat. Now, I'm going to put on my

  632. clothes. I'm not your husband right now.

  633. Are you hearing me? Joseph, never tried to restore

  634. but not let me hold, but let me go, let me, let me say this.

  635. Did I put it on here? Yeah, let me say this point

  636. first. It is necessary at times to

  637. remind your natural family of the hats you are wearing.

  638. Just as much it is for you to remind sometimes your co-workers

  639. of hats you're wearing. Because I'm not your buddy at

  640. work. I'm a co-worker.

  641. Now we go out play ball together.

  642. You know we may do certain things but when we're here on

  643. the job, that's a different. It's different.

  644. Because again if you want to actually be a leader of

  645. influence and show the Kingdom at the workplace, then you got

  646. to understand the roles you're in.

  647. But yeah, we're just trying to add like we can be friends

  648. everywhere. Our family everywhere yet.

  649. Jesus knew this doesn't function if you're going to do the

  650. assignment of your heavenly father you can't you know mess

  651. that up and Joseph even knew that there's like this, there's

  652. a difference between brother and Busby and Shepherds.

  653. At the end of the day. Now, we can go, we can go play

  654. ball at the family reunions and have no issue here because we're

  655. not talking about our role at work.

  656. But that doesn't mean when we get back to work, the assignment

  657. I have for you this dual Tuesday, I'm gonna give you a

  658. pass because you're my relative. Or you're my buddy calls we did.

  659. This is why people struggle. When you go from peer employment

  660. to now you become a manager and now you're having to tell them

  661. what to do. Come on, man.

  662. We used to hang out. You forgot your role.

  663. I said you forgot your role, honey.

  664. Can you take off? I'm working The reason why we

  665. have vacation to these particular things.

  666. And you got our sound influencing people.

  667. Now if you want to be with me more than let's get an agreement

  668. that we do a family business so that we can work together.

  669. But you understand then we still have to remember our hats.

  670. I remember one time my wife and I went on vacation I was

  671. pastoring here that's been years ago.

  672. So when I say that what I'm about to say, the individual

  673. does not attend church here at all. but there was a particular

  674. female that used to be at the church and, you know, honestly

  675. they just wanted position they want to title, they wanted to be

  676. known They've had training. They definitely.

  677. Should have known because they've been trained to know.

  678. But selfish ambition mess you up.

  679. And so this like recurring theme started taking place when I left

  680. To go either on vacation or on another Simon administering that

  681. they would come in the church and begin to degrade the

  682. Pastoral the pastors wives. My just treat them bad would

  683. yell at them. I mean, just crazy stuff

  684. basically trying to assert their Authority.

  685. Like, I'm your equal. This is a crazy thing.

  686. So I remember being on vacation and all of a sudden the

  687. individual did it again to Pastor, Angie And so she text my

  688. wife about it and my wife said, you know, yadda and I said are

  689. you serious? So I said you're going to call.

  690. I'm what you call Pastor Angie right now and you tell her to

  691. call this lady and let them know that I want a meeting with them.

  692. The minute, I get back. And my wife is like, no, we're

  693. on vacation. I said Marcy, I have my pastors

  694. hat on. I will not take this hat off

  695. until you do this right now because I know I'm on vacation,

  696. she knows I'm on vacation and I want her to know that.

  697. While I was on vacation, I found about it found out about it and

  698. I'm going to deal with it when I get back.

  699. I want her to know it. And I won't take it off to you

  700. do it. So she did.

  701. And then she says it's done. That hat was gone and I don't

  702. think about that. Have another 20 days.

  703. I showed back up and I said, where is it?

  704. So this person was so self-centered.

  705. The only available day that they can meet with me is on Wednesday

  706. night before I preach I took it because I'm anointed, I don't

  707. care. I took it, I took, I took the

  708. meeting, I brought him both 11. Wazzup acting as a pastoral

  709. pastor's wife at the time. They're not in that role today.

  710. Pastor Angie was there, you know, they came with her husband

  711. sat down, we had the conversation and the person

  712. literally led the conversation this way.

  713. I'm sorry. You took it this way.

  714. I looked at him, I said, let me tell you something.

  715. There's only one person that teaches at anchor.

  716. Faith Church and doesn't serve anywhere.

  717. Else is called a traveling minister. because if you're

  718. going to teach at this ministry, you're serving somewhere, You

  719. need to understand they were gone didn't come back.

  720. Because Jezebel can't live in this house.

  721. Jezebel can't live in this house.

  722. Because I'm no King Ahab. I'll kick you to the curb.

  723. Just don't tell you right now. You're annoying guy Jack.

  724. Right, the dogs are ready to lick you up.

  725. Don't come into this house, she's not going to happen.

  726. Okay, because God doesn't like that Spirit, he hates that

  727. Spirit, he hates that spirit in his church, he talked about that

  728. spirit in his church in the Book of Revelation.

  729. So don't think you coming up in here.

  730. It's just not going to work, right?

  731. But most the time, Pastor Angie and Pastor Marcy intimidate them

  732. half the time anyway. You know.

  733. So because you know why? They're intimidating because I

  734. hear women say, you know, they intimidate me.

  735. Listen, you know what's intimidating about them is

  736. because they're strong with Of God who are equally as strong

  737. submitted to their husbands. And that's what it is that you

  738. see that they can be that strong confident, but yet be entirely

  739. fully submitted to their spouse. That's what a woman of God looks

  740. like. But unfortunately, Jezebel's

  741. thinks I have to be the one and I'm really not submitted to my

  742. husband. I want all responsibility I want

  743. all authority with no responsibility.

  744. All right, it's a little extra lesson there.

  745. My point is, is that, you know, we define the role and I'm like

  746. that hats on. It's nothing personal.

  747. But I'm doing that role. Jesus never took off his crown.

  748. You need to understand that. Jesus said, I call you friends,

  749. but that doesn't mean he ever took off his crown.

  750. Now, I've had that actually happened to me.

  751. One time. I was in the guard, is it really

  752. this late? We worshipped a long time.

  753. I can't tell you this story. Forget it.

  754. Okay. Jesus, Joseph, never tried to

  755. restore natural family relationships at the expense of

  756. his assignment. What do I mean by that?

  757. He sold as a slave. He goes as a slave, then he's

  758. accused of rape. He's thrown into prison, but

  759. then he's released from prison, he's made as a prime minister to

  760. take care of Egypt, once he is on, in government position, and

  761. he is rocking as a government official, he never, once went to

  762. pharaoh and said, hey, I got some brothers and a father that

  763. they don't know where I'm at. And I sure would love to restore

  764. our relationship. He never left Egypt to go get

  765. right with the natural family. Because he knew in the dream,

  766. the only way our natural family can be restored, is if they come

  767. to my assignment until you in the natural, acknowledge the

  768. assignment associated. With the individual, you're

  769. never really going to have a relationship.

  770. It's only going to be surface. And I know this from experience

  771. from my own natural family, I have surface relationship with

  772. my bloodline. Cuz until they acknowledge and

  773. recognize the assignment on my life.

  774. We can't have a real relationship. so there are more

  775. people in here than I am way closer to then natural family

  776. name and I don't feel bad about that.

  777. Because the scripture tells me that my mama, my brothers, and

  778. my sister are those who do the will of the father and many of

  779. you get all upset because you want to be closer to your

  780. natural family yet. They don't want to be close to

  781. God. And you're, you're you're

  782. bending over backwards and compromising well, you know,

  783. come over Sunday. Well, I go to church Sunday.

  784. Won't you come to church? Well no, it's not.

  785. You come here, I'll be waiting. When you go and take care of

  786. your family. Oh I am take care of my family.

  787. I go to church when you go and see get into family.

  788. We go actually. Start acting like family.

  789. Amen. Okay, you're rolling.

  790. The kingdom. Family should not be confused

  791. with your role in your natural family.

  792. Your kingdom family takes precedence over your natural

  793. family. I said your kingdom family takes

  794. precedence. Now this is not popular

  795. preaching but it's truth nonetheless.

  796. Now, that doesn't mean that you get rid of your name.

  797. If you're doing Kingdom family work.

  798. You will be the best to your natural family.

  799. There's no doubt about that. But it but your natural family

  800. you won't abuse on both sides. You'll recognize.

  801. And then the anointing associated with your call or

  802. assignment will filter over into your children's so that when you

  803. are together naturally it maximizes the relationship.

  804. Honor the assignment of your natural family and do not abuse

  805. it we look we are not to look with more favor nor more Mercy

  806. to Natural family when it comes to the vision.

  807. Your purpose it's amazing a lot of times when you get in

  808. business you end up giving more Mercy to your namesake.

  809. Are you allow your overlooked and because of that then people

  810. get disgruntled in your organization.

  811. And you can do this naturally, you can have someone co-worker

  812. you work with y'all really close, you do things on the

  813. weekend together, all this stuff and then you give more Mercy to

  814. that person than someone else. that's not a just judge.

  815. You're not judging justly. This is leadership stuff.

  816. Do not allow your assignment. To the vision become compromised

  817. with your personal relationships.

  818. Can't do it. Can't do it to cover up the

  819. mistake or failure of your natural family at the expense of

  820. Kingdom, Business will hinder the vision.

  821. To treat your natural family with contempt at home because

  822. you do not hold them accountable to the kingdom assignment.

  823. While at work is an abusive roles Are you hearing me?

  824. There are conversations. You should never have with your

  825. natural family. Concerning the Kingdom Business.

  826. Because their assignment role cannot handle the your

  827. information. You should not be worth talking

  828. to your co-workers about church stuff conflict.

  829. You know, having a church man. You know, it was somebody

  830. searching. I found out that they were

  831. cheating on their wives. Why would you tell a co-worker

  832. that How stupid is that? Why would you talk about any?

  833. If you do business with someone at the church and it doesn't

  834. necessarily pan out. Why would you talk to other

  835. people about that? Why would all of a sudden you

  836. take a business matter and then begin to just talk to Common

  837. People. Saints concerning someone else

  838. in the church that didn't do something.

  839. You know, I find people who don't keep the kingdom first and

  840. that assignment first always want to demand respect out of

  841. people. But yet them said they

  842. themselves don't respect. Alleluia everybody, all right.

  843. On the church side, there are many pastors children that have

  844. left the ministry because of having conversations about the

  845. church at home that their children overheard and should

  846. have never heard. But you know what?

  847. I'll go further. Even congregational people's

  848. children have left the church because the congregation member

  849. went home and talked about things at the church, with their

  850. kids around. My wife and I did not talk about

  851. anything concerning the church in front of our children.

  852. Our children thought the church was most amazing thing on the

  853. face of Planet. Fact.

  854. My kids became shocked when they found out.

  855. That was not the case. That there were problems that

  856. existed. I mean, my daughter for the

  857. longest time. I thought that every believer

  858. never did anything wrong. She did think that but

  859. unfortunately, that's not true. I like to say this, your spouse

  860. is not your boss so they cannot Define your work hours.

  861. I must say that again, your spouse is not your boss so they

  862. cannot Define your work hours. I don't work for pastor Marcy.

  863. So she can't tell me when I go to work.

  864. I'm saying this generation coming up, man.

  865. They want so much of their own personal Tom, then they see, you

  866. know, they'll actually leave jobs just for this plug.

  867. Go work together, then no problem.

  868. I have no problem that go work together.

  869. But again when your spouse says they work you too much, they're

  870. not your boss. And again, if you have an

  871. assignment somewhere to work and be an influencer then you

  872. communicate that, you get an agreement about that.

  873. My wife and I, when I started this church, actually, I worked.

  874. Well, prior to this, I worked at third shift.

  875. I worked at swing shift job that you know, of seven days on two

  876. days off, seven days on one day off, seven days on straight and

  877. then four days off. And it was third shift, so seven

  878. straight days than second shift for a second straight days than

  879. first shift for second set of straight days for off.

  880. And then you come back and do the thing again, it was brutal,

  881. but it was the season. And there were times, she didn't

  882. want me to go to work. But at the end of the day,

  883. you're not my boss. And I have an assignment.

  884. Now, that doesn't mean sometimes I didn't say, I recognize

  885. there's a need I'm going to take this day but you understand

  886. them, to me, you take the day that that day is gone.

  887. So again, later on, if we're not doing something else because I

  888. burned it, On a day, you were emotionally missing.

  889. Because at the end of the day, you're not my boss and I just

  890. can't take off anytime you want. But you understand what happens

  891. in work because we have phones, most people are carrying on

  892. conversation with their natural family all day long.

  893. And I'm trying to figure out, are you even working?

  894. You want to get ahead in your business, put your phone down,

  895. tell your spouse, I'll call you here on break.

  896. And don't be known as the one, who's constantly carrying on

  897. conversation with natural relationships.

  898. Because how are you going to have influence?

  899. Just say, Amen. Anyway, these are very simple

  900. things that will cause people who are part of the vision and

  901. Corporation. Look at you and say, these

  902. people have the vision, And you'll get promoted above

  903. everybody. Just by simply understanding the

  904. roles. And functioning in those roles.

  905. Amen, let's pray. Father, we love you.

  906. We honor you. We thank you.

  907. Lord, that you're the King of Kings and the Lord of lords.
