Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast
-
from St. Augustine, FL.
-
Now enjoy this message. First, empty chapter 4, verses
-
one and two. This has been our text that
-
we've launched out on. Concerning this thing called
-
pride, it says this the Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed,
-
I'm reading out the Passion translation again.
-
I read out of multiple translations.
-
So again, you know, everybody gets in their little, you know,
-
situations where they act like one translation is no good or
-
whatever the case, and then they try to do history on stuff.
-
I'm just telling you right now, if you're only reading one
-
translation, you're already going to be at a deficit.
-
You should read more. You then need to also go to its
-
original text at the end of the day.
-
So when we read things, we're not reading things just because
-
we like the way it reads. I read things because it's
-
lining up with the original text in the first place in the Greek.
-
As far as the New Testament Hebrew concerning the Old
-
Testament, OK. And so in this particular
-
context, for the sake of. Understand us being at easily
-
understand without me having to read a different translation or
-
literally break out this definition to you.
-
In the original Greek, the Passion translation did a
-
doggone good job. OK, all right.
-
The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed.
-
At the end of this age, many say many will depart from the true
-
faith. One after another, devoting
-
themselves to spirits of deception and following demon
-
inspired revelations and theories.
-
Verse 2 hypocritical liars will deceive many and their
-
conscience won't bother them at all.
-
So this is one of those scriptures that you don't want
-
to be true, but it's true and just because there's a truth
-
here you can decide I'm not going to be in this verse.
-
So what I love about God's warnings is God's warning tells
-
the stuff so that we are not ignorant.
-
It's amazing the fantasy that most believers have because
-
they're not rooted and grounded in the word.
-
They have their own little thought processes of how this
-
things will play out. But yet the Lord has been very
-
clear on how everything is going to play out so that we aren't
-
deceived in the end. And just because he says it,
-
then we need to know it. And then when things start
-
happening, we aren't like, why is the world falling apart?
-
I mean, you get around some Christians, they're like, you
-
know, they're they're in such they have such anxiety, even
-
though the Bible says be anxious for nothing, full to worry.
-
Yeah, the Bible says do not worry.
-
And they're only worried because of the things that are going on
-
yet the Lord's like, it's going to happen.
-
So when you're seeing it, then you're like, well, the Lord said
-
this would happen, but what do I do to to safeguard myself from
-
it happening to me? Okay.
-
So the Holy Spirit says this is going to happen at the end of
-
this age. That's the one we're in now.
-
So which age are we talking about?
-
This one you're in right now at the end of this age?
-
Many. How many?
-
How many? Many?
-
Not a few. Many will depart from the true
-
faith That means they once worship with you beside you,
-
have faith victories with you, believe God, with you, prayed
-
with you, could have taught you, could have given you
-
instruction, could have been at your wedding, could have been
-
your best man made honor, could have been your childhood friend
-
forever. Many will depart, They will let
-
go of, they will set aside, they will discontinue the true faith.
-
But what will they do? They will turn from the true
-
faith and remain loyal in a religious exercise to a
-
different teaching. So in essence they're not living
-
what is considered organ organized.
-
Coming together they will just transfer to a place that
-
communicates teachings that come from spirits of deception and
-
our demon inspired revelations and theories.
-
Good. That's the truth.
-
Now the Bible lets is going to let us know and we're going to
-
talk about it more. If how does a person fall into
-
this? Well we know the 1st Rd. to get
-
into deception is called pride. Proverbs 1618 says pride goes
-
before destruction and a haughty spirit before the fall.
-
The passion translation reads it this way your boast becomes a
-
prophecy of your future failure. The higher you lift up yourself
-
in pride, the harder you will fall from disgrace.
-
We define pride. Is this because the Bible
-
defines pride this way? Pride is when a person takes any
-
thought exhausted above God's thought of the same on the same
-
situation and performs their thought instead of God's.
-
Lets their thought govern how they operate instead of God's
-
thought and how it operates. That's Pride.
-
Now we discussed this again, just quick review because we've
-
got a lot to cover today. Pride manifested first within
-
environments that were without sin.
-
The first time we get about pride when we know was when the
-
devil. When he was the anointed cherub.
-
He was lifted up in pride because of all of his beauty and
-
he decided he's going to take over the throne of God in
-
heaven. But Jesus said I saw Satan fall
-
out lightning from heaven. Here's a heaven, there's an
-
God's creation. Everything's perfect.
-
This guy's is doing a position. By the creator and instead of
-
staying in the position he was created, he decided I'm taking
-
over creation and that was called pride and he fell and he
-
fell fast lightning the 2nd. Realm that we see.
-
Our example of pride was in Genesis, where God creates a new
-
this heaven and earth and he places his man in it.
-
And the earth is without sin, heavens obviously without sin.
-
And all of a sudden here's Adam created in the likeness of God
-
and in his image Eve as well. And as a result of that they're
-
in a perfect environment, yet pride happens because they took
-
the thought. Of the serpent in the garden
-
that they're not going to die when they eat the fruit that God
-
said they were going to die. So in both environments, no sins
-
around pride manifested. OK, now how do we know that we
-
are moving towards the road of pride is when?
-
We do not want to consult with the originator of the
-
conversation when they are already then that we are already
-
on the road to rebellion. What do I mean by that?
-
If you were here last week, we saw that God said to Adam, you
-
don't eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
-
For the day you eat you will surely die.
-
Now God's been coming and talking to Adam in the cool
-
today. He's always been in the
-
conversation. I mean, how long does it take
-
God to get with Adam? I mean right now we are in this
-
age where our body is decaying, is breaking down.
-
We have not put on immortality. Adam on the other hand had a
-
body that would have never died. It was glorified.
-
He was in a body that wouldn't die.
-
Cause again if you don't eat the fruit you don't die.
-
So spiritual and body in the realm of Adam was on a whole
-
another level at the time he ate the fruit.
-
Well, here we are in a mortal body.
-
Our minds are being renewed. We're having to say that thing
-
constantly. We're having to get it in line
-
with God's word. Our spirit man has been
-
sanctified. It's in righteousness.
-
It's in right standing with God. How quick can we hear from God
-
right now? Immediately the Holy Spirit
-
lives within you. How close is God to you?
-
You are the temple of the. Holy Spirit, so in Adam's world,
-
before he ate the fruit, what was his access to God unimpeded.
-
So when the serpent is saying you're you God, you're not going
-
to die. God knows that the day you eat,
-
you're going to be like him. I'm no one good.
-
And even why in the world did Adam not say, hold on a second,
-
that is not what the Creator has said.
-
The conversation I would had with him was way different than
-
what you just said. So I'm going to ask him to come
-
down and have a meeting with us. But the minute you don't have
-
that meeting, you're on the road to rebellion.
-
Why does Adam not ask God to show up?
-
Because Adam already wants to believe what the devil is
-
saying, which means he's already moving towards deception.
-
He's got a foot. In the door of deception because
-
he wants to believe what the devil says more than what God
-
has said, then what God has said, then what God has said,
-
then what God has said, then what God has said.
-
OK, now let me give you a few sobering truths.
-
The majority of believers do not read the Bible.
-
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
-
the Word was God. The Word became flesh, which is
-
Jesus. But if we don't read His Word,
-
then we don't and don't know His Word, then we don't know His
-
voice, which means we get situations and we pray in the
-
air to God, wanting him to answer us.
-
Yet we won't spend any time in His Word at all to be able to
-
recognize His voice. So we don't actually bring him
-
in the conversation. So many have never brought him
-
into the conversation because they're not reading his word
-
yet. They'll ask their friends to
-
pray. They'll ask their friends
-
advice. Because most of us, when we
-
pray, we already have a premeditated idea of what we
-
want before we pray. Now there's nothing wrong with
-
having a premeditated thought when you're praying in a
-
declaration of what God has said to you.
-
Now you said Lord. So again, at this point I'm not
-
having a self prescribed prayer that you're going to do what I
-
want. No, I my prayer is I'm telling
-
you what you said I had. So this is actually your will
-
for my life and that's why we're having this conversation.
-
Because I'm reminding you of your word.
-
Are you hearing me? But if we don't bring God into
-
the conversation, I mean we'll let all all kinds of people in
-
on our issues and dilemmas, but we will not consult with God
-
himself, who will deliver the righteous out of all their
-
trouble. And how many of their troubles?
-
How many of them? So why are you not talking to
-
him? Well, I don't want to bother him
-
like he's so busy. Is God busy?
-
Well, I would say he's purposeful.
-
I'm sure he's answering the prayers of his children.
-
He's performing his word, He's doing his plan.
-
But you're not. He's not so busy that he can't
-
answer you. And you're 1 little problem that
-
you think you shouldn't bother him with.
-
He's saying you should consult me.
-
Are you hearing me? So.
-
Again, God's not asked to come meet in the garden.
-
When the the devil is saying to Adam and Eve, you're going to be
-
like God knowing good and evil, you're really not going to die
-
when you eat it. Because Adam wanted to hear that
-
side, He wanted to believe that side, and he sure didn't want
-
God to show up. Are you hearing me?
-
Which brings us to our Hebrews 513 and 14.
-
This is really. Pivotal because at the end of
-
the day, I mean, I've been in ministry now for almost 3
-
decades, maybe 3 decades now, and been pasturing in this one
-
location 19 years. And I've been all over the world
-
now ministering the gospel of the Kingdom, and I've run into a
-
lot of people and a lot of ministers.
-
And I realized that the majority are stuck in verse 13.
-
For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the
-
word of righteousness, for he is an infant.
-
Righteousness is God's way of doing something.
-
We say you're righteous, you're in right standing with the
-
governing authority. Well, my spirit man is in right
-
standing with the governing authority because I've been made
-
righteous in Christ. But my mind, I'm having to grow
-
in that righteousness so that I can walk out that righteousness.
-
I have to then yield to what I'm hearing in my spirit by the Holy
-
Ghost and say, how does the Lord want me to do this, but if I'm
-
only partaking a milk? Tell me again.
-
I'm going to heaven when I die. Tell me again I'm going to
-
heaven when I die. Tell me again.
-
You want to know what milk is again?
-
If you went over to the next chapter, Hebrew chapter 6, Paul
-
said. Man, we need to go on from
-
elementary teachings, elementary teachings, right?
-
Being born again, laying on the hand.
-
These are elementary teachings. We need to graduate.
-
But you know what? Most of us, we just want to know
-
where we're going to go when we die.
-
And that's all we want to know about God.
-
Well, guess what? If that's where you're at, then
-
verse 14 does not applicable to your life.
-
But solid food is for the mature who, because of what practice or
-
training, have their senses what train to discern.
-
So this implies that if you only partake a milk, you cannot
-
discern between good and evil. This is why my wife and I were
-
at a particular location. I'm going to keep the very
-
general where with the person that was waiting on us had a
-
conflict, and the reason they were in this conflict is because
-
they left where they were living to move to another place.
-
But they were moving to the other place because the person
-
they had a relationship with lived there as well.
-
Now they're not married, and this person's A believer.
-
So how in the world could a believer leave their one
-
location, move into another location with the person they're
-
having a relationship with without saying I do?
-
Doing the benefits that come with I do, how could they not
-
discern? I can't move over there.
-
I mean, at what point was it? Well, we'll save money.
-
We can combine our bills. It'd be cheaper economically as
-
smart. Well, what about flee the
-
appearance of evil, even if you move into another room?
-
I mean, but you're an item and we're going to church.
-
They're singing songs. Oh, you don't want to hear this.
-
That's fun. Because you know how many
-
believers now are justifying being with that person before
-
they get married? How many people are justifying
-
talking about somebody? How many people are justifying
-
gossiping, justifying back body, justifying, as Pastor Marcy by
-
the Holy Ghost communicated, are taking their stance on church
-
hurt The church hurt me. Church didn't hurt you and she's
-
right. The church didn't hurt you
-
because the Holy Ghost said church didn't hurt because how
-
does Jesus Christ hurt you now? People hurt people.
-
But the reality is, is that if you're hurt, you choose to be
-
hurt. Because anyone who could hurt
-
you, and you hold that hurt, that means you are offended you
-
have taken an offense, and as a result of taking an offense, you
-
are actually hurting the church. So anyone that says they have
-
church hurt you might as well say no, you're hurting the
-
church. I'm not hurting the church.
-
The church hurts me. No, you're hurting the church
-
because you won't forgive. Jesus forgave you of your sin
-
and that person may have done this to you.
-
That could be reality. But why don't you just forgive
-
him? Won't you just let it go?
-
Why don't you just show up anyway?
-
Why don't you just praise God anyway?
-
But you can't even show up now because you hurt.
-
Have you talked with them? Well, no.
-
Well, why not? The Bible says man, if you got
-
an issue with your brother, go to them and then settle this
-
deal. Well, they may not sell it.
-
Who cares? At least try.
-
I mean people are going to secular jobs day in and day out
-
with people who hurt them all the time.
-
So we know who they're serving mammon cause they're what,
-
they're babies, they can't even discern good or evil and the
-
devil is baits them with just go to another church and they're
-
hurt from this church, which guess what they bring to the
-
next church. They're her.
-
So the next time they get around somebody that's dealing with
-
something and then you become the oh, I'm heard of that.
-
And then they go, And then the devil finally gets you to the
-
place where you say I can worship God on my own at my
-
house because it's really just about me and Jesus.
-
But the Bible doesn't say it's about me and Jesus.
-
The Bible says it's about the body of Christ.
-
So once again, he isolates you because that's what wolves do,
-
gets you off by itself. And then the wolf will divine
-
with your life. All the while you thinking it
-
was the church that set you up, but that's only because you're a
-
baby. Now you can choose to not be a
-
baby. Say Amen.
-
You can choose. Because what I'm preaching now
-
is called personal responsibility.
-
Right. God did the responsibility he
-
had to do. Now you got to take the
-
responsibility to do what you're supposed to do.
-
Because at the end of the day, did Jesus die for you?
-
Did Jesus raise from the dead? Did he put his blood on the
-
mercy seat? Has he paid for sin once and for
-
all? Big deal.
-
Doesn't matter if you do not make Jesus Lord of your life,
-
you'll still be cast into the lake of fire, which is the
-
second death. He did the responsible part.
-
He was. Now you got to take
-
responsibility and lay your life down for him.
-
But you just don't lay down your life.
-
This is what elementary teaching I lay down my life.
-
I asked you just to be Lord of my life so I could be born
-
again. He gets you into the Kingdom and
-
you say sucking your thumb the rest of your life.
-
When the Lord's like you're the child of the King.
-
Let's raise up. Let's go.
-
Now let's teach you something. Let me put you in the body of
-
Christ. I'm gonna put you with some
-
pass. I'm gonna put you with some
-
teachers. I'm gonna put you with some
-
apostles. I'm gonna push you with you
-
advantages. I'm gonna train you up so you
-
can get to maturity. Is that true?
-
Efees in chapter 4. Fees in chapter 4, verse 11
-
through 16 it says and he appointed some with the grace to
-
be apostle, some of the grace to be prophet, some of the grace to
-
be advantageous, some of the grace to be pastor, some of the
-
grace to be teachers. And they're calling is to
-
nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works
-
of ministry. As they do this, they will
-
enlarge and build up the body of Christ.
-
These grace ministries will function until we all attain to
-
what Oneness. Us in the faith until we all
-
experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God.
-
And finally we become one perfect man with the full
-
dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed into the
-
abundance of Christ. And then our immaturity will
-
end. And we will not be easily shaken
-
by trouble, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false
-
doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies, but instead we will
-
remain strong and always sincere in our love as we express the
-
truth. All our direction and ministries
-
will flow from Christ and lead us deeper into Him, the anointed
-
head of His body, the. Church, for his body has been
-
formed in His image, and is closely and is closely joined
-
together and constantly connected, as one and every
-
member say every member, every member has been given divine
-
gifts to contribute to the growth of all, and as these
-
gifts operate effectively throughout the whole body, we
-
are build up and made perfect. In love, the number one way you
-
can guarantee that you will not be one of the many deceived is
-
that you refuse to leave the local body Church God has
-
assigned you to. You refuse.
-
I'm not going anywhere. God placed me here and I'm not
-
going anywhere. I don't care what I hear.
-
What's been said? Cause let me tell you, lots
-
going to be said, lots going to be talked about, lots going to
-
be said. I said lots going to be said.
-
Boy, if they talked about the head when he walked around on
-
the planet and performed miracles, said man that guy cast
-
out devil in the name of bells above, that's just a demon man
-
right there. If they go say that about Jesus,
-
do you think they're not going to say that about his church,
-
about his body? You don't think the devil's
-
going to want to try to come in and bring disunity and and
-
discord and try to break up what God is functioning and flowing
-
through? Man, You got to be at a safe
-
man. You ain't never going to let me.
-
I ain't never getting off this thing, ain't never going to Get
-
Me Out of here because we are stronger together.
-
And here's the thing. We are with less excuse than the
-
Old Covenant. Because we are born again.
-
Our spirit is alive. We do have the Holy Ghost on the
-
inside of us. We have the Word, and God's
-
revealing that word to us by His Spirit, which means the fruits
-
of the Spirit to walk in love towards the brethren is ever
-
present in us. Easy to forget they're not a
-
situation you're in that your emotions could get you so riled
-
up. That you couldn't say No, Lord,
-
what do you want me to do? That's how I'm going to stand,
-
and I'm going to be right there. Now that's twofold, because for
-
the one that's in sin, resistance is coming to you.
-
For me to walk in love, I got to resist your behavior or your
-
action. Love does that because we cannot
-
accept that sin is not accepted in the Kingdom of God.
-
We can be merciful. long-suffering give you an
-
opportunity to repent. But there come a point.
-
That there's resistance because God is never well with sin.
-
But now when you repent and have a lifestyle and keep them with
-
repentance, we act like it. Now, have you ever been around
-
someone who's blown it? They made mistakes, and this is
-
usually their testimony. The church left me, you know, I
-
got in trouble and they just abandoned me.
-
No, you abandoned the church. When you did your wrong, you are
-
the one walking away from the church, entertaining the lust of
-
your flesh while the Church will like stay here, do the Word.
-
Stay here. We're all together.
-
We're all doing the Word. We're all loving God.
-
You're like Hallelujah. Glory to God.
-
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord.
-
You're backing away. But then now that you're in sin
-
and you've fallen and the church is like, get up, come on now,
-
get up. But you're not wanting to get
-
up. You don't want to get up.
-
So what do you do? You begin to say the church left
-
me, abandoned me. They didn't want me anymore.
-
They cut me off. No, you cut yourself off because
-
you are eating what you're not supposed to eat.
-
You are doing what you're not supposed to do.
-
Devil's done a really good job of deceiving the church.
-
That we have to accept everything.
-
I don't accept sin. I don't accept it one bit.
-
I know there's people sitting in here and sin.
-
I know why. Cause you're people, that's why.
-
At the end of the day, you're people, right?
-
You know, so sins in the house. Some of you might be lost.
-
So you were like professional center.
-
I get it. I was professional center one
-
time myself. That was my nature.
-
That's what I did. I sinned.
-
I was cut off from God. But there's some believers in
-
here that have actually fallen away.
-
Now not all the way, but they're on the road and instead of
-
resisting because what pride says, I can't go down the alter
-
and people see because that's what the devil you can't go down
-
there. You know what position you hold
-
people can't you know what people going to think of you.
-
I mean he's deceiving all the time like that.
-
But instead of Nah, man, I I got to get this right.
-
I can't live like this. I can't, I can't act like that
-
towards them. I know there's a comp, but I got
-
to fix me so that hopefully we can fix that.
-
You know how many? You know how many logged?
-
You know how many spec finders do we have here?
-
Spec finders. You know who spec finders are?
-
No, they're your law. You see the log in your brother
-
eye, right? You're looking for logs all the
-
time. Now here's the thing, the Bible
-
doesn't say you're wrong in identifying the log.
-
He just says deal with your spec first before you go pulling out
-
a log. So at the end of the day, we all
-
have to come to grips with stuff.
-
But if you want to guarantee number one, you say I stay
-
submitted to the church I'm assigned.
-
Under the fivefold ministry that God has assigned in my life,
-
they are there to build me up and straight.
-
You understand? We are here to coach you and
-
train you to maturity. That's what we're here to do, I
-
said. That's what we're here to do.
-
And again, Saints have no issue in every other sector of society
-
when these things go down. The number one that we are the
-
most tolerant of correction is in the sports arena because for
-
whatever reason, all you little Mamas and daddies thinks your
-
kids going to be playing in the professional leagues.
-
So everyone of them, you're going so you know the coach,
-
yell at them, tell them to do more, tell them to run more
-
coach. But how many times you yelled at
-
one of your students, right? One of the athletes, right?
-
I mean, you can't even name it right?
-
You know, but Mama, don't run over there and say, don't you
-
talk to my son like that. Don't you talk to my daughter.
-
Who do you think you are? No, they reinforce you.
-
Did you hear what your coach said?
-
I wish I'd get some parents to reinforce what their pastor
-
says. Did you hear what your pastor
-
said? Give me that phone.
-
Do you hear what your pastor said?
-
I know you want stuff. I know you got your other little
-
apps in here that's got me locked out.
-
Hallelujah, right. I mean, all of a sudden, I mean,
-
we take all this because we going to do the work, man.
-
We going to be champions and we trying to let help help you do
-
the work so you can release the champion you already are.
-
In order to do that, you understand?
-
Just don't get offended when I'm like, bro, you're going to have
-
to do better than that. Said I work good.
-
No, Hallelujah. I mean, Coach Bo's just trying
-
to release their potential. He sees things as they're
-
running and he's like, if they do this, they do that.
-
We could get another half a second shaved off their time.
-
We can do this. We can do that.
-
We have no problem with that. We let the world educate our
-
kids and they'll come home and next thing you know, you're
-
like, OK, well, you know, if your teacher wants you to do
-
that project, do it. You're going to have to stay up
-
late. Pastor wants you to read the
-
Bible. Well, I know you're tired.
-
Honey. Go home.
-
You can just. We won't even go to church
-
tonight. OK?
-
Say Amen anyway. I mean, deception's afoot
-
because pride is ever present to try to get you to think that
-
your way of doing it is better than God's way of doing it.
-
Come on, it's ever present. Multiple situations are
-
happening that you're going to have to decide.
-
Is that what God would want me to do, or is that my own
-
thoughts? There Now Philippians chapter 3,
Philippians 3 chapter mention
-
verse one through 3. Praise the Lord.
-
You need to understand I already have two sermons here.
-
Literally I finished two. I got next week's already done.
-
So I really need to finish this today.
-
Philippians 3. One through 3 says this, Paul
-
said. Finally, my brethren, rejoice in
-
the Lord. To write the same things again
-
is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard to you.
-
Beware of the dogs, Beware of the evil workers, Beware of the
-
false circumcision, for we are the true circumcision who
-
worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no
-
confidence in the flesh. Now this is this age.
-
Paul is saying in this age there are dogs, there are evil
-
workers, there are false circumcision.
-
Then he was also bold enough to say I'm true, which tells me
-
discerning who's false and wicked and who's true.
-
Is available and he does not mention names, but he's
-
obviously implying people. He did not mention their names,
-
but he's letting them know there's some people you're
-
listening to. They're dogs.
-
They're evil workers. They're notice these terms he's
-
using. He didn't say, well, you know,
-
just got to love people. They're dogs.
-
Go ahead and say it. Say they're dogs.
-
Say they're evil workers. Say they're false circumcision.
-
They're out there. Now you understand I love the
-
false circumcision. And he goes there because he's
-
letting you know They give the appearance of circumcision in
-
covenant, but they're not because they're not living it.
-
How do we know he's of the true? Because he says this.
-
We're the true who worship the Spirit of God and glory in
-
Christ. And what do we do?
-
Put no confidence in the flesh? None.
-
There's no confidence there. They have no confidence in
-
themselves outside of Christ, in themselves, outside of Christ,
-
in themselves, outside of Christ.
-
And if you could have a discerning, trained ear, you can
-
tell when people are putting confidence in themselves.
-
But that's only when you're trained, because you stayed
-
submitted to a local body church and under the fivefold ministry
-
that is maturing you. He jumps on and goes further
-
down in the 17th verse of the same chapter, he says, Brethren,
-
join in following my example and observe those who walk according
-
to the pattern you have in us. I mean, this is bold stuff here
-
that he's saying you want to know how to do it, right?
-
Watch me. He said for many walk, of whom I
-
often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are
-
enemies of the Cross of cry. What is Paul saying here?
-
He goes on and says, whose end is destruction, whose God is
-
their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, Who set their
-
minds on earthly things. Now we're not just talking
-
possessions, we're talking things of the flesh.
-
Things that person that are, that advance them personally,
-
that make them look good, that advance their selfish ambitions.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? So he's saying now there were
-
many that walked in my example, but now they're not, and they're
-
actually enemies of the cross. And now he's talking to the
-
church here. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
-
He said, well, Pastor Earl, what if someone gets off?
-
Is there no hope? There is hope if they repent.
-
But if they don't repent, there's no hope.
-
They need to repent. Which tells me we cannot afford
-
to not stay. Passionately submitted to the
-
Word and spirit of God and constantly grow.
-
We cannot coast in this life. The minute you do, you're
-
already starting to slide. You're going backwards and you
-
don't even know it. But this also tells me there are
-
observable ministries that you can know.
-
I said no, that they are doing it right.
-
Now Paul prefaces in his Corinthian letter this way, he
-
said, imitate me as I imitate Christ.
-
So when you get around someone and you're hearing their
-
conversations, how they're dealing with situation because
-
you know, people come in. Hey, Pastor Earl, tell me about
-
so and So what happened here. I always, you know, digging for
-
information and I'm like. Why don't you just pray for
-
them? You know, I really can't talk to
-
you about that. They come to me, you know, got
-
some situation or problem going on.
-
Well, what does the Bible say Who we pointing to?
-
Some of you may even know of personal attacks that are coming
-
against me. How am I responding?
-
Are you watching the example? How are others responding?
-
Are you watching theirs or do you just want to believe the
-
other party? It's amazing how many people
-
want to believe that a person that's living right actually
-
isn't. Now the reason why that isn't
-
because usually the person hearing isn't living right
-
themselves. And they want to be to continue
-
to justify their living. So turn over to Second Peter
2 Peter 2 chapter mention
-
Chapter 2. See Deception is going to Run
-
amok in these last days. It's going to continue to
-
increase and increase and increase and increase and
-
increase and increase and increase.
-
Now, that shouldn't cause you for alarm that you should just
-
be conscious of the fact that just because it increases, what
-
do I do to continue to increase my strength in staying always
-
pure with the word of God and staying a true circumcision,
-
walking wholly and blameless and the Bible tells you how to do
-
it. Very simple, actually.
-
Is extremely simple actually. If you are a studier of the
-
word, if you actually are what God originally wanted us to be.
-
If what he told the disciples go into all the world and make
-
disciples, but the church got deceived and decided to quit
-
making disciples and make converts.
-
That all we want to do is get them to confess Jesus's Lord, so
-
that when they die they'll go to heaven.
-
And we're not really going to take personal responsibility in
-
disciplining them. How do you disciple somebody?
-
What if you're going to disciple someone?
-
You got to let them know when they're wrong.
-
It's called enlist them as a pupil.
-
We have a private school. I would love to tell you all of
-
your children make hundreds, but they don't.
-
Our actual teachers give them back papers with X marks on
-
them. Wrong answer.
-
I hope your child's not damaged when they found out they were
-
wrong. But why do we do that?
-
That isn't right. That isn't correct.
-
We not only do it in academics, but then we do it in behavior.
-
I have so many sensitive parents.
-
Thank God. Hopefully it's none of you.
-
If you are, we'll deal with you because you're in this
-
congregation. I can't do it with the others,
-
but they get so sensitive because, you know, my child
-
brought on other another red note.
-
Well, they're in the flesh today.
-
What can I tell you? That doesn't make them a bad
-
kid. We're training them to hear
-
their spirit instead of their flesh.
-
Now, why don't you support that at the house?
-
Instead of acting like we don't like your child and we're
-
targeting them. Because in the public school,
-
you're going to be really deceived when my child never
-
gets in trouble. Why?
-
Because the public school will let your child live by the
-
flesh. They're not going to correct
-
them when they're lusting after another person, they're not
-
going to correct them. When they're smooching on
-
somebody, they're not going to correct them.
-
I mean, they're not hardly corrected at all anymore.
-
Their hands are so tied in the public school system and your
-
child's never going to and you're going to be man.
-
Look how they're doing so good. Now they be maybe making a
-
grade, but their moral life is decaying in front of your eyes
-
and you don't even know it. No.
-
OK, say Amen Anyway. I'm just trying to help you get
-
out of deception. I'm not saying your child can't
-
go to public school. What I'm saying is don't buy the
-
lie that they're doing that great.
-
All of us are never free from the conflict of our flesh.
-
Galatians 5 tells us our spirit and flesh battle daily.
-
Period. Do you know how many times I
-
have to kill the flesh daily and a lot daily?
-
I mean, my sword is so I have to sharpen that thing every day.
-
I'm telling you, I'm like cutting stuff constantly.
-
Don't think you're coming behind me, man.
-
I get a 2 edged sword here. I'll put like you know the
-
lightsabers you've got too. You'd be like 'cause the word of
-
God is a sword. And it cuts down every thought
-
that exalts itself above God to try to get my flesh decide.
-
So I'm having to cut that down and cut that every day.
-
And man, if you don't sharpen that sword with the Word, then
-
you're going to quit tired of yielding and willing that sword
-
and next thing you know the flesh is going over.
-
I don't care how many Bible doctrine degrees you have, how
-
long you been in the church. You can fall away like that.
-
Your flesh will jump on you and suffocate you.
-
You got to be vigilant all the time, cutting down thoughts.
-
And let me tell you something. You know how many times Jesus
-
had to just cut down thoughts? Sometimes you would hear him
-
say, man, how much longer I got to suffer with you?
-
Now why did he say that? Because he knows all the
-
thoughts. Concerning what you know and why
-
in the world are you not acting on it Seriously, we've had this
-
teaching already. Be a doer of it, yet you're not.
-
So everyone of us, I get Red Note days.
-
Yeah, self-inflicted. I'm like, man, I could have, I
-
could have processed that better.
-
I should have responded way quicker in a different light.
-
There, that's a red note for me because my spirit man's talking.
-
Are you hearing me? Everybody can correct in the
-
world, but the church isn't that amazing.
-
Second Peter, Two One through 4. Passion says it this way.
-
In the past there arose false prophets among God's people.
-
Just as there will continue to be false teachers who will
-
secretly infiltrate in your midst, why did abide you
-
bringing with them their destructive heresies?
-
They will even deny the Master who paid the price for them,
-
bringing swift destruction on themselves.
-
This means they let me finish reading these four version.
-
I'll come back and dissect it. Many will follow immoral
-
lifestyles because of these corrupt false teachers.
-
The way of truth will be slandered.
-
They are only out for themselves, ready to exploit you
-
for their own gain through their cunning arguments.
-
Their condemnation has been a long time coming, but their
-
destructive destruction does not slumber or sit.
-
Wow, okay. Thank you idly by, for it is
-
sure to come. Now do not forget, God has had
-
no pity for the angels when they sinned, but threw them into the
-
lowest, darkest dungeon of gloom and locked them in chains where
-
they are firmly held until the judgment of torment.
-
So here we see that people really through selfish
-
ambitions. Come in among the church.
-
A person can realize that they're lost without God, get
-
born again. But if they do not renew their
-
mind, the selfish ambitions they had when they were lost are
-
still the same selfish ambitions when they're born again.
-
In fact, it is so such a so problematic that Paul instructed
-
Timothy do not put a brand new believer.
-
In some form of leadership. Because if you do that, they run
-
the risk of incurring the same sin as the devil.
-
They'll get lifted up in pride. They'll be lifted up in pride.
-
So there's a cleansing of your mind, a washing of your mind
-
through the watering of the word, the training of your mind,
-
the growing of your mind. And then when I was reading
-
this, the Lord said, son, that's why I told you, you're not going
-
to have any type of teaching outside of the inside of this
-
church. So why do not do small groups
-
sell groups of Bible teaching? I have none that are sanctioned
-
outside of this local body. Now I can't control you at your
-
house. I'm not here to control you.
-
I mean, if you have one of somebody that y'all were
-
discussing where that's entirely up to you.
-
But I don't do that. God has literally told me not to
-
do that. And he just reminded me here
-
son, This is why you don't, because I never instituted that
-
there would be this context, it it would always be at risk if
-
you begin to allow everybody to be teaching that at the end of
-
the day somebody's going to want to start their own stuff through
-
a fence. Keep it in the house, keep it in
-
the house, keep it in the house. So I keep in that and our city,
-
you when that ministry came through, and again if it may.
-
In other nations, it is more, it functions better because of the
-
hindrance of them being able to come to church.
-
In fact, in some places it almost has to be because you get
-
too large. The government comes shut it
-
down. But that's not the case here.
-
Now, I'm not saying you can't talk with people at your house
-
about the word. You should always be talking the
-
word. No problem there.
-
But what I am saying is that you understand, the minute we start
-
this process, there's you. It is guaranteed I'm going to
-
shut a house down. It's guaranteed I'm going to
-
shut down somebody's house because I'm going to have a
-
rogue. A backsliding prideful I know
-
more than the pastor we have in the Holy Goes move more and our
-
stuff that is going to happen. It happens all, especially in
-
the United States and the United States.
-
At the end of the day, we are that the least excuse to
-
collect, yet we are the weakest. That's what's sad.
-
We are a nation where we could have the strongest thriving body
-
of Christ, but we have become the weakest.
-
Why could we stay home and watch it on TV?
-
We watch it on TV. I mean, I can't even stop that
-
kind of teaching. All I can do is preach truth
-
here, mature you here. Because here's the thing.
-
If you are hanging out with people at your house and and and
-
are you in our anchor faith life classes?
-
I mean, if it's about a hunger of the word, are you in those
-
classes? I mean, because I have plenty of
-
people who can teach, you know, the only reason why I don't add
-
more classes is because I'm actually right now only getting
-
a handful of people actually attending, I mean.
-
How many of you know about the full armor of God?
-
How many of you could learn more about it?
-
Maybe you should go to class. We're talking about the origin
-
of the Bible, the history of the Bible.
-
It's really important to know that class is being taught right
-
now. We'll have some other classes
-
come at the end of the day. This if we're really hungry for
-
the word. But you know what?
-
Pastor Mars preaching on this in Valdosta.
-
He's having to deal with the spirit of Jezebel.
-
Oh, yeah, That comes into New Testament Church.
-
You know what they do? They want Bible studies and more
-
prayer time. But what they're doing it,
-
they're absaloms and they're Jezebels.
-
They're pulling people away. Now, I don't have this problem
-
here. Let me can I just say that I
-
have no known problem of this occurring at Anchor Bay Church.
-
I do not have this. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
-
I know of particular people that get together and meet and do
-
some study on their own, but they asked me and I said, okay,
-
you know, I can't control what you do in your house.
-
Just know it's not sanction. And if you end up teaching
-
something that ain't right, you know I'm not.
-
I will preach from here. So, you know, make sure you're
-
rightly divided at the end of the day.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? Okay.
-
And those individuals are active in ministry here.
-
They're actively doing stuff. I don't have that issue.
-
But all I'm saying is, is that if you're wanting things, what
-
are you doing in the house? Because the house offers a lot,
-
Okay. So we have to understand then
-
they may come in secretly, but they are going to be exposed.
-
Because verse four tells us This is why I'm not afraid.
-
That's why I'm not afraid. At the end of the day, you can't
-
violate this scripture. Your sin will surely find you
-
out. Your motive will show up.
-
It's going to happen. And man, we are going to have a
-
meeting. Because if you're not listen to
-
the Holy Ghost to get it right, God's going to show.
-
Make me show up as pastor. It's just going to happen.
-
And I'm not against you. I'm here to liberate you.
-
Set you free, keep you in freedom.
-
But know this it says. Do not forget verse four.
-
God had what no pity on the angels when they sinned?
-
None. God does not feel pity now He
-
has mercy, but he does not have pity, because if you resist His
-
voice. He will give you that
-
consequence, verse 5. And he did not spare the former
-
world in the days of Noah, when he sent a flood to destroy the
-
depraved world, although he protected Noah, the preacher of
-
righteousness, along with the seven members of his family.
-
And don't forget that he reduced to ashes the cities of Sodom and
-
Gomorrah, condemning them to ruin and destruction, And God
-
appointed them to be examples as to what is coming.
-
To the ungodly. Yet he rescued A righteous man,
-
Lot, suffering the indignity of the unbridled lust of the
-
lawless. For righteous Lot lived among
-
them day after day, distressed in the his righteous soul by the
-
rebellious deeds he saw and heard.
-
If the Lord Yahweh rescued Lot, he knows how to continually
-
rescue the godly from their trials and to reserve the
-
ungodly for punishment. On the day of judgment.
-
Now I want to tell you a little bit about Lot here.
-
Rick Renner and his sparkling Jim's book says this concerning
-
verse eight. It says that Lot was distressed.
-
One translation says he was tortured OK.
-
Another translation said he was vexed OK and that Greek word
-
here when it says that he was distressed in this passage of
-
scripture. It means to be tortured it.
-
You see, when Lot first moved into the city of Solomon Gore,
-
the evil sights he saw in those cities were a torture to a soul.
-
But because he dwelled among them and saw their sin deeds day
-
after day, after a period of time his soul was number longer
-
tortured. In seeing and hearing their
-
unlawful deeds day-to-day, his righteous soul became
-
desensitized and he acclimated to that evil environment and
-
he's righteous. He completely lost his spiritual
-
sensitivity because of the images that became so
-
commonplace to him. What a lesson the story of Lot
-
teaches us, especially in these last days when violence abounds.
-
If we we must set our guard and stay viligent regarding
-
regarding what we see in here, the scenes and sounds we allow
-
to enter our eyes and ears have the ability to save us or
-
desensitize our soul. Now I wrote a whole book on Lot
-
called More Than a Lot. Because the Bible, Jesus himself
-
talks about how Sodom and Gamora could have stayed.
-
But because righteous Lot did not live out his righteousness,
-
did not speak it, communicate it, confess it.
-
He had no profound effect. In his community and the church
-
today, especially in the United States, we are desensitized.
-
In our soul. We are accepting.
-
Sin in the church and just want people to go to heaven when they
-
die. We're letting carnality run
-
amok. Now when I say we we are not.
-
Let me just prep. We are not.
-
We are not. I know right now in the church
-
today of people who are dealing with stuff and I am patient and
-
long-suffering. To see them repent.
-
But they're about one more visit, and I'm going to meet
-
them face to face at the door. Because carnality and an
-
unrepentant heart to someone who knows better is not tolerated in
-
the Kingdom of God. And that's not unmerciful.
-
It is mercy. Because if you're not doing what
-
the Holy Ghost says and giving me the evidence of it, we're
-
having a meeting. Because I refuse for you to be
-
here and not bring the originator of the conversation
-
into the conversation. Now you say, pastor, oh, you're
-
not going to grow a church that way.
-
I will grow his church that way. I may not grow numbers, but I
-
will grow. His church and his church will
-
be powerful. His church will be blameless.
-
His church will be without spotter Rico.
-
His church will be victorious. His church will conquer, and
-
those individuals will be one. They will be a community.
-
They will be a family. They will love each other.
-
And they'll say you can be with us if you only repent.
-
But if you don't, this is your choice.
-
It's what you're doing. Now I understand that I'm the
-
one that gets attacked because Jesus is the one that gets
-
attacked. But at the end of the day, are
-
we going to be doers of the word or not?
-
How long did it take to get saved?
-
You believed you got born again. How long did it take to get
-
filled with the Spirit you believe?
-
You began to speak. How long does it take to repent?
-
You believe, you confess. He cleanses you from all
-
unrighteousness. And now yet walk straight.
-
Now here's the thing. Every sin we do after Christ in
-
Christ has different consequences.
-
I can hate my brother. To God that's like murder.
-
But I ain't killed him. I said I ain't killed him.
-
So when I confess. And say, Lord, I hated my
-
brother. Forgive me.
-
And say son, I forgive you. Now guess what I don't have to
-
do go to jail. But now if I hate my brother to
-
the point I actually kill him, can God forgive me to be now a
-
murderer? Physically, can I be forgiven?
-
But that doesn't mean I won't have to serve serve time.
-
The Bible says if you lust after a woman in your heart.
-
You commit the sin off well. Mental lust is different than
-
physical adultery, and the consequence of both actions can
-
be different. God will forgive both.
-
God can restore both marriages, but God could.
-
But one marriage could fall apart because of the physical
-
action, because that personnel has the right You've broken the
-
covenant, and they can righteously step out.
-
Yep. So again, it's consequence of
-
how far you allow your action to go.
-
Can God forgive? Yes.
-
Does the Church forgive? Yes.
-
Does the Church forget? Yes.
-
But you have to keep a lifestyle in keeping with repentance.
-
Say, well, who's judging that? We are?
-
I'll say, oh, you're a judge. Nope.
-
I'm not judging your eternal salvation, but I am examining
-
your fruit. The Bible says to judge your
-
fruit. He says you'll know they're my
-
disciples by their He said I'll know that they're you're they
-
are my disciples. By their I'll know not.
-
He knows. Well, the Lord knows my heart.
-
He sure does. I have not met a person to date
-
that has told me that that wasn't in sin.
-
The Lord knows my heart. Yep, Yep.
-
I've not met a person to date that has said that to my face.
-
That wasn't in sin. You bet he does.
-
And you should be extremely afraid right now.
-
You should have the fear of the Lord on you, because he does
-
know your heart. He knows what you did.
-
He's been in every room that you've been in.
-
He's been in every conversation you've been in.
-
He's been in every place you've been.
-
He's been on every text thread He's been on every pornographic
-
website you've been in. He's been everywhere you've
-
been, and he knows whether you've repented.
-
Say Amen anyway, now, again, when you live a free life.
-
In the fear of the Lord, none of this preaching bothers you.
-
Like, preach it. Preach it.
-
I'm holy. I'm washed in the blood.
-
My mind's right. I'm like walking in love with
-
everybody. This is good.
-
Preach it. It's when you're having
-
challenges that you like. But again, that's the Lord
-
saying I got freedom for you. I got, I'm not here to condemn
-
you. I'm saying be free, be released
-
from it. Let's get past it.
-
Let's strengthen you so you don't fall in that area again.
-
So it's actually behind you. It's your past, not your future
-
again. I mean, it's amazing how many.
-
Well, what if I messed up again? Why are you acting like you're
-
going to get out of sin consciousness, Get into victory
-
consciousness, praise the Lord. Oh, Hallelujah.
-
Y'all doing all right. Can I finish this?
-
OK, I am so again. God dealt with dispensations,
-
know us destroyed the whole world.
-
Why? Sin destroyed it.
-
Destroyed his city. Why sin.
-
What does he deliver every time? Righteousness.
-
So here's the thing. Even in the horrible world that
-
Noah lived in, and he was a preacher of righteousness, he
-
was telling the whole world he had no converts, no converts,
-
nobody got right. Everybody, everybody dies.
-
He building the ark? Tell him y'all going to have to.
-
You better get it right. You just need to.
-
And they are mocking him. We're going to talk about
-
mockers next week, Mocked him, scoffed at him.
-
But he rises, literally rises. He's caught up together in the
-
air, OK? And the rest of them die.
-
Sonom and Gamore die. And you know what?
-
There was an opportunity. I am firmly persuaded that the
-
minute lot stood out and said, gentlemen, you need to quit this
-
wickedness, that if they would have said you're right, we need
-
to quit this wickedness, that city would have been saved.
-
But instead they like who made you our judge.
-
I'm just telling you, a couple guys fixing to smoke the place
-
advise you I would like. I'd change okay and then to
-
angels in a perfect Realm. Second, Peter 210 says this.
-
This especially applies to those who live their lives despising
-
authorities and who abandon themselves to chasing the
-
deprived lust of the flesh. They are willingly ignorant.
-
Are arrogant and insolent, Unafraid to insult the glorious
-
ones. Man, you got to watch out with
-
people who have no problem talking about the fivefold
-
ministry. You said.
-
Well, what I think they're I'm just telling you right now, God
-
has placed gifts in the body and you want to be extremely
-
cautious. You better know that you know
-
something that doesn't mean something can't be said about.
-
Because here's the thing, he's talking about glorious ones.
-
Ones who are actually called to the fivefold.
-
We're not talking about selfproclaimed prophets and
-
selfproclaimed teachers all pastor.
-
Don't be talking about them. That's the glorious ones.
-
Know their faults. Teachers.
-
They're not actually in the office.
-
That's a whole other different ball game, but someone who is
-
actually in the office, even if they're King Saul.
-
Because he was in the office, David treaded lightly on how he
-
talked about Saul. Same in anyway, even.
-
Yet even angels who are greater than they empower and strength,
-
do not dare slander them before the Lord.
-
These individual are nothing but brute beasts, irrational
-
creatures born in the wild to be caught and destroyed.
-
And they will perish like beasts.
-
They are professional insulters. Who slander whatever they don't
-
understand and in their destruction they will be
-
destroyed. It's amazing how many things the
-
Saints actually don't understand because of the limited knowledge
-
they actually have concerning situations.
-
So you got to be careful that you don't want to all of a
-
sudden pick up on something and begin to.
-
This is how deception begins to move.
-
This is how the enemy functions because the devil knows he
-
cannot destroy the church outside it.
-
He has to infiltrate inside it and get the Saints deceived.
-
And as he has to plant a bug, a virus got to try to destroy it
-
from within. He goes on and says this.
-
For all the evil they have done will come crashing down on them.
-
They consider it a great pleasure to crowd in broad
-
daylight when they come to your love feast.
-
They are but stained and blemished blemishes, reveling in
-
their deceptions as they feast with you.
-
They are addicted to adultery. And we're not talking about
-
sexual fornication alone, we're talking about they.
-
They are aligning themselves with other things to worship
-
beside God. Although they could be full of
-
sexual immorality as well, with eyes that are insatiable, there
-
with sins that never end. They seduce the vulnerable and
-
are experts in their greed. But they are children of a
-
curse. Pastor Mark said that he was
-
listening to our series on Pride and he gave me this thought.
-
I said, man, that's good, I'm going to use it tomorrow, he
-
said. Pride is the bedrock of
-
deception. Submission is the bedrock of
-
revelation. Notice in this passage they
-
despise authorities. You know why you're not getting
-
revelation? Because you're not being
-
submitted. This is why you'll look for
-
anything new. And that's why the devil can
-
give you different doctrines, because they'll offer you
-
freedom from submission to anything.
-
Praise the Lord. Amen.
-
So there's a group of individuals that the Lord is not
-
well with because of what they're bringing to his church.
-
But here's the thing. It says in verse 13 that they'll
-
come crashing down. So it lets me know.
-
Even though it can show up in a crash at the end of the day, I
-
don't get anxious about it. I remember one time I had a
-
selfproclaimed apostle show up. I had a selfproclaimed prophet
-
show up. I've had this, a couple things
-
that have happened. self-proclaimed.
-
They want to get over in the in the in the lobby and start you
-
know trying to prophesy. OK, let's let's meet.
-
They left. I had another self-proclaimed
-
prophet came sent in service set in the back all the time.
-
Finally decided we're going to meet with me.
-
It was a female. And so Pastor Angie and I met
-
with this individual and they raved about the teaching here
-
and the ministering of the word and love the worship.
-
Right. And just, you know, I mean, it's
-
why they told how awesome it was, right?
-
Remember Pastor Angie, stand up. Shake, tell everybody that's a
-
true statement. Yeah, this happened.
-
I mean, I was like amazing preacher.
-
It was amazing. So then they proceeded to tell
-
me they were prophetess. And that the Lord had sent them.
-
And So what they were gonna do is they were gonna give me a
-
word from God. They were so humble that they
-
didn't want to take credit. They would give it to me and I
-
would deliver it. And by the way, never talk on
-
money again. So I said, well, you look,
-
you're not the Holy Ghost, so I'm not doing that.
-
I mean, I'm not take them accused from you.
-
It's not how this works. So then they proceed to say,
-
well, I guess I'll just come and worship and leave.
-
Wait a minute. You had you just told me how
-
great the teaching was. So I proceeded to say, well, if
-
you can't stay for the whole message, then there's probably
-
no reason to come. And they said, are you saying
-
I'm not allowed to the church? I said, I didn't say that.
-
I said if you're only coming to hear the worship and not say for
-
the preaching of the Word, then there's probably no reason to be
-
here. Are you saying that I'm not
-
welcome? I said, I didn't say that.
-
I looked at Patreon. I didn't say that.
-
What I said was, if you're only going to come for the worship
-
and not say for the preaching of the Word, there's probably no
-
reason to be here. Well, I believe the Lord just
-
released me. I said, I think you're correct.
-
And they're not here. But I've seen them in town.
-
Yeah. Now let me tell you where my
-
love walks at. I go up and shake their hand.
-
Hey, how you doing? Because I'm not intimidated by
-
false prophetesses and false teachers.
-
They don't intimidate. I don't like all so and so's
-
there and I I don't. They hide.
-
They turn another owl. Well, what's the problem?
-
I mean, what's the issue here? I mean, your pastor is having to
-
deal with stuff a lot, but why do I do it?
-
Because they come after the vulnerable.
-
They going after the vulnerable. You think I'm going to let
-
somebody who's got degrees and if taught and done all kind of
-
stuff fall away and going to continue to start dealing with
-
it. And I'm not going to say
-
something, I'm going to say something.
-
But I guarantee you they are not going to set up a meeting with
-
you and me and them, because the day that happens, you'll
-
actually know what's really going on.
-
Because they're always right, if you're only hearing their side.
-
And some of you need to quit entertaining those conversations
-
because you're going down the road of deception, because you
-
don't want to bring me in or my associates in on the
-
conversation. Because you want to believe what
-
they say, which means you're already on the road to the
-
rebellion. But it won't crush this
-
ministry, It won't crush this vision.
-
It won't stop it. In fact, it would just make us
-
stronger. We'll grow more, cause God to do
-
it in spite of you. And we'll actually hear about
-
your destruction. And it.
-
Be sad and we'll grieve and we'll still be praying.
-
Lord, forgive them. Not that they don't know what
-
they do, cause they know what they're doing.
-
Last part of this chapter and we'll close.
-
I know I'm going along, but where are you going?
-
I know you're hungry, but this is what fasting's about.
-
Somebody ain't fasting so long. You.
-
I mean you. This is the longest you've gone
-
without food. You're going to be alright.
-
We going to make it. Amen.
-
And not anybody. Nobody's going to finish the
-
YouTube anyway, so I might as well keep preaching.
-
Because everybody wants to be deceived, apparently, You know,
-
we don't have an appetite for the word.
-
I mean, I want hungry people around me.
-
And I don't care if it takes me 10 years to, out of the 8
-
billion people on the planet, for God to move a group of
-
people in this location who is hungry for God, rightly divided,
-
living in love, in unity, go and pay the price, then I'll do it.
-
Because he's coming back for the church without spot or wrinkle,
-
which means it's obtainable. And I'm going to be a part of
-
the process. I'm going to be in it.
-
Amen. Second, Peter 215 to 22 says it
-
this way. Forgive me guys.
-
I'm going to deviate from the script.
-
So you might want don't want to put this on the video.
-
They have wandered off the main road and have gone astray
-
because they are prophets who love prophet and wages that
-
earned by wrongdoing. They are following the example
-
of Balem. Now you if you if Balem is
-
pretty amazing, you need to go read raw numbers 22 for yourself
-
because Balem is classic deceiver.
-
Classic the way the deceives function.
-
OK 1st 16 let me read it and then I'm going to deal with
-
that. Who was rebuked for evil?
-
For what? He was reviewed for what evil by
-
a donkey incapable of speech, yet spoke with a human voice and
-
restrained the prophet's madness.
-
Now when you read Romans Numbers 22, it goes something like this.
-
The Moab see all the Israelites and they've heard how they
-
destroyed Ammonites and they're like, man, we going to deal with
-
these people right here? Are we going to be in trouble?
-
Let's go get this prophet called Balam.
-
Because Balam, whoever he curses is cursing.
-
Whoever he's blessed is blessed. And we'll get him to come and
-
curse these people so that we can win in war.
-
So they show up at Balam and Balam says, look, I can't say
-
anything other than what God says.
-
So they said we'll go ask him. So he goes to God and God says
-
don't go with the people. Don't have nothing to do with
-
them. Send them on the way.
-
And the prophet obeyed the voice of God.
-
Well, the king was not well with that, So the king sent back
-
higher officials, more dignitaries, people of influence
-
and renown, then offered him. Finance.
-
We're going to exalt your ministry.
-
We're going to pay for it. We're going to do something,
-
Balam. Then Balam does this.
-
Now you know I can't do anything but what the Lord says now.
-
The first time he probably meant that, but the second time he's
-
like. And I could get wealthy off of
-
this deal. I might.
-
Let me, let me go talk to God, see if I can convince him
-
otherwise. Now he's going to the Lord and
-
motive. So he goes back to the Lord and
-
the Lord says, all right, you can go, but you only say what I
-
say. Now when you read it, you're
-
almost like, what did Balam do wrong?
-
Second, Peter tells us what Balam did wrong.
-
Balam wanted the wealth and was trying to manipulate God, to
-
give him a different word. And not only did God set him up
-
and he wouldn't let him say it, but he said let me try it again.
-
He kept trying to manipulate God.
-
To be at a Give a word. You know how many false prophets
-
today are. I'm trying to manipulate God to
-
give a word. But here's the thing that
-
happens in this one. They are tapping into familiar
-
spirits and deceiving spirits and they're giving a word
-
because they do it in. This is why I asked you to stand
-
up. I'm done with the days at Anchor
-
Faith Church that we're not going to be accurate.
-
I'm not going to let anybody get up here and give a word about
-
something. And we not going to find out was
-
it a word either we heard about a headache or we did not.
-
Either we heard about healing or we didn't because you know, say
-
well, we, you know, I believe people are getting healed today.
-
Well, anybody could say that think about that's so general.
-
No, it was obvious. It wasn't general.
-
It was accurate word of knowledge and then became
-
specific about a headache. Are you hearing me?
-
But it's amazing how people will get general that a fortune
-
teller could do that. You know, I believe that there's
-
a great blessing on the on on on the way for you.
-
Anybody can say that. Never can say that and bless
-
you, OK. Because I know in these last
-
days deceptions coming. So we're going to just have to
-
verify. I said we're going to have to
-
verify. At the end of the day, don't
-
come up here and act like you repenting and crying and
-
snotting all over the podium or the stage and then go walk in
-
your excuse, Verify. I said verify.
-
Say Amen. 1st 17 These are dried up river beds, waterless clouds,
-
pushed along by stormy winds and the deepest darkness of gloom
-
they have prepared for them. They spouted off with grandiose
-
so impressive nonsense. Consume with the lust of the
-
flesh. They lure back in to send those
-
who recently escaped from the air.
-
I do not tolerate. I have no patience.
-
None. And I'll have to.
-
Of someone who knows better, been trained better, has gone
-
through all kinds of years with us, and then you going to fall
-
off and then you going to start trying to go after somebody.
-
No, you're going to be done. It's not going to happen.
-
Because here's the thing, if you read scripts, you understand God
-
deals with people in sin based upon what they know.
-
How can Moses hit rock twice and can't get into promised land?
-
How can Adam, who's never born to eat a fruit and bring sin
-
into the whole Dang planet? It's because they've been with
-
the Lord. Thank you so much for listening
