Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast
-
from St. Augustine, FL.
-
Now enjoy this message. So we've started on a journey.
-
These last few Wednesdays about the ministry of the Holy Spirit
-
and we are going to go where no man's gone before.
-
We're just gonna keep going until there's it, you know, it's
-
exhausted of what the Holy Spirit actually, you know, wants
-
to reveal to us. Because you know what?
-
It actually is inexhaustible. Every, every.
-
Year, we could say we should be learning more and more of who
-
the person of the Holy Spirit is, because it's inexhaustible.
-
Everything about His word is inexhaustible.
-
Whatever it is, we are to go from what?
-
Faith to faith. That means we are to constantly
-
be building upon the foundation of what's been laid.
-
So every year, just as Pastor has said, and we've heard him
-
say this before, every year when you're reading the Bible Reading
-
Plan, there ought to be another layer that's being peeled off to
-
reveal to you to sure up your foundation.
-
Right. But not only sure, up your
-
foundation. Continue to reveal to you more
-
and more of who God is, of who Jesus is, of who the Holy Spirit
-
is. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. Glory to God.
-
Well, you know pastor is in Kissimmee right now.
-
Minute. Well, he's ministering tomorrow
-
night at. The Global Leadership Conference
-
with apostle Ashley Estrada. You know, he's done that for
-
years now. And I tell you what, this year
-
is amazing. He has people from literally all
-
over the world. They have so many people that
-
are there from Guyana, Nigeria, I mean, you name it Switzerland,
-
I mean you just name it, they have it there.
-
And I was just blown away at the increase in Ashley Estrada's
-
ministry, just in what God has put in his heart to do to bring.
-
You know people from all over the world to one place to
-
continue to develop them in leadership for ministry.
-
And I tell you what, it is just been a powerful time and I've
-
just believe God is doing great things, great things.
-
Amen. The people were so hungry and
-
Pastor ministered yesterday. And just some phenomenal things
-
that God is doing and saying. And so we just believe it's
-
going to be a great a great harvest from it.
-
Amen. For what he's doing all over the
-
world. Amen.
-
You know the greatest thing we can do is is so the word into
-
somebody's life. It's the greatest thing we can
-
do because when heaven and our passes away.
-
There's one thing that's going to remain.
-
It's his word. So the greatest seed that we
-
have, we've been given. And you know what?
-
We can sow it. And that seed could remain.
-
Amen. Sow it into someone's life.
-
The word of God. Because I'm going to tell you
-
what, not everybody has the word that you have, and I can
-
guarantee it. Guarantee, guarantee.
-
Lots of people don't have the word that you have, Amen.
-
So you know what that means. There's more responsibility for
-
the one that's been given. Much Amen.
-
More responsibility for what you know compared to others who
-
don't know. And what are you going to do
-
with it? Come on.
-
Are we going to be a good steward with what we've been
-
entrusted with? Amen.
-
Every single one of us. Every single one of us that sit
-
in this house. Have a response.
-
It got quiet. I thought the mic went off,
-
Might drop. Every single one of us have a
-
responsibility, what with what we've been given and entrusted
-
with, with such a great word that we receive.
-
And you know, something interesting that I just have
-
been meditating on and I've been talking about and and really is
-
just been being confirmed by other things as well, but.
-
You know, pastor has, I believe really full blown moved into the
-
Apostolic gift. And, you know, it's it's
-
increasing and increasing. And so you're sitting up
-
underneath an apostle and that Apostolic gifting.
-
That has the app to now, Pastor. OK, so there's going to be
-
shifting. That happens.
-
And what's so awesome is you get to grow with it if you stay with
-
it. If you stay with it.
-
Amen. But we've been talking about
-
this. And anyway, obviously when he
-
went to Kissimmee, nobody knows what we've talked about.
-
And have been you know discussing amongst ourself and
-
apostle Estrada got up and looked at him and had a word and
-
said that Apostolic gift is getting ready to even increase
-
even more in him and and so God is just doing a lot of things
-
and we've got to be prepared. For.
-
What he's doing Amen through this body, through this
-
congregation because there's a lots of things happening.
-
We just sat down and met this morning because I was in Orlando
-
this morning and met with a young couple from Brazil and
-
this is Rhonda and Tim Rogers, daughter and Soninlaw.
-
And they're, you know, graduated Rayma and took off and went to
-
Brazil and now have 10 churches that they've started in Brazil
-
in 10 years, young couple, two children and have an infant.
-
And they called and asked if they could meet with Pastor and
-
I today. And so we said sure, and we had
-
breakfast with them and they said we want you to be.
-
Our. Mentor.
-
We want you to be our mentor. We never even met them, but you
-
know. I just believe God's putting
-
those divine connections together because of the gifting
-
that is coming to the forefront, and they're going to actually be
-
with us August the 20th. So you'll get to meet them.
-
But we're excited. You know, we don't know what all
-
God is doing, but we do know he's doing something.
-
He is moving, he's advancing and he needs every one of us
-
participating. And loving Him with all of our
-
heart, with all of our strength, with all of our might, so that
-
we can all bring a supply to accomplish what it is He needs
-
accomplished in these days. Amen.
-
Because there's still lots of work to be done.
-
Hallelujah. And the great thing about it is
-
you get to participate. Amen.
-
You get to participate with what God wants to do.
-
But the thing about it is, is, is that we are going to have to
-
stir ourself up to be participants years ago.
-
This is just talking, y'all, I'm just talking with you.
-
Is that all right? Years ago I've been teaching on
-
the Holy Spirit. We'll get over there because
-
it's all relevant. This is how you're led by the
-
Spirit of God when you've yielded your life, right?
-
To him. He'll lead you.
-
He'll guide you. He'll connect you with who
-
you're supposed to be connected with.
-
He'll do what he needs to do in you, come on to get what it is
-
that he wants to get through you.
-
If you continue to keep yourself in a place that you love him
-
with all your heart, all your strength, all your might, and
-
you're saying, Lord, whatever you need me to do.
-
But years ago I remember. Marty Blackwell welder, Reverend
-
Marty Blackwalder years ago came to our church and he began to
-
talk about a a prophecy that Brother Hagan had spoke of.
-
And he said the day and the hours coming when there's going
-
to be a lot of things taking place, you know, in the earth
-
and in the church, and you can sit back and be a spectator.
-
Of what God is doing through everyone else.
-
Or you can be a participator and what he wants to do in this
-
hour, you can participate with what he wants to do.
-
You can be a participant. And I'm going to tell you what
-
we all need to be participating and what he is doing in the
-
Earth today. Amen.
-
We need to be saying, Lord, whatever you need me to do, I'm
-
going to do it and participate with what he wants to do.
-
Amen. Through our lives.
-
Because we are not here just to be here living the American
-
dream. We are not.
-
We are here on Kingdom business. Every single one of us that God
-
has chosen to call into His Kingdom, we all have a
-
responsibility. It's not just up to us.
-
We all have a responsibility to do our part in the Kingdom, to
-
do our part in the Kingdom. And we're all going to be held
-
accountable for our part. All of us will be held
-
accountable for our part. For what we participated with,
-
with the Holy Spirit, because we're going to talk about that
-
tonight, or for what we did not participate with, We're all
-
going to be held accountable and responsible, you know, And and
-
the American church has gotten to a complacent, lethargic,
-
selfish, self-centered. Place that we're seeing people
-
just back off, back off and pressing in into what God wants
-
to do in the earth today. Taking a break, You know,
-
wanting to, you know, watch Church Online and sit in their
-
pajamas. What kind of supply is that
-
individual bringing to the Kingdom of God?
-
That's what I want to know. Because you can send your money
-
and pay your alms thinking God's going to bless it just because
-
you sewed into that television program, right?
-
That that stuff is not blessed. He does not bless that mess.
-
We are all to bring a supply. Every individual, every joint
-
supply, every part of the body, everyone has a supply to bring
-
to the Kingdom of God in some way, in some way.
-
And you know, I'm saying this because, you know, we have a
-
private school. And you can't attend our private
-
school without a pastoral recommendation, right?
-
That you are attending a church on a regular basis?
-
Well, we have people saying, oh, I attended church.
-
I watch it on YouTube every guess what I said denied.
-
That does not count. As church because there is no
-
supply being brought. You have a supply.
-
A supply of faith. Come on.
-
A supply of a gift that God wants to use.
-
A gift. A gifting that he wants to use
-
to help build up the body of Christ.
-
And you ain't doing nothing with anything.
-
Sitting on the television watching a service and saying,
-
oh, you attend every Sunday through YouTube, Listen, this is
-
the reality of where the church is today.
-
Well, we attend, we watch YouTube.
-
And no, I don't care if you listen to every YouTube video
-
Pastor Earl has. You ain't a part of this church
-
if you're not attending and bringing a supply.
-
Amen. Because there's other people
-
that need what you have. Amen.
-
This is reality of where people are at, and it got worse through
-
COVID. And then people that think that
-
they can just attend service then do their duty by just
-
showing up. Oh, you you, you know, you just
-
need to be thankful I showed up and have no other supply to the
-
body, right? Just hearing the word and
-
receiving it, but not participating in anything.
-
We call those couch potatoes and you know, leechers just want to
-
Leech on all the supply and the resource, but don't want to
-
participate by giving back. Just think of everybody.
-
Everybody. Every single person was doing
-
what they were supposed to be doing.
-
Bringing a supply, doing what God's asking them to do for the
-
local body. Because I'm going to tell you
-
what, and I think this is where I'm going to be preaching Sunday
-
night at camp, meeting God's coming back for a glorious
-
church. He's coming back for a glorious
-
church. And it's not looking too
-
glorious, if you ask me. He's coming back for a glorious
-
church. Come on, a church full of his
-
glory, a church full of his power.
-
A church full of every, it says. For he is equipping the Saints
-
for the work of service, for the building up and the maturing.
-
The maturing of the body. The church needs to grow up.
-
It needs to grow up. It needs to mature until we all
-
attain to the fullness that feels, All in all the fullness
-
that feels. That means all of us maturing,
-
growing up, taking our place in the Kingdom of God, taking our
-
place in the church that he's building and expecting to be
-
mature and grow up and take responsibility, right?
-
What do you say when somebody doesn't take responsibility?
-
They're what immature. They're immature.
-
They don't take any responsibility for life or
-
whatever, right? They're just immature.
-
They need to what? We say this all the time.
-
And yet he said the same thing about the church, that the
-
church needs to mature and grow up.
-
Because when he comes back, this thing is going to be flowing the
-
way that he said it's going to flow.
-
And there's going to be those that are flowing with him and
-
growing with him and doing what he says we're supposed to be
-
doing. And then there's going to be
-
those that aren't. And it's going to be obvious in
-
these last days. It's going to be obvious in
-
these last days. So we need the church to be your
-
priority because that's what he's building and that's what
-
he's coming back for. I want to be doing and in the
-
place that he's going to be when he returns, right.
-
He's coming back for the church. So I want to be participating
-
with everything that the church has to offer.
-
Amen. To build it up.
-
What are you doing? That's what the question is.
-
What are you doing to build up the church?
-
What are you doing to bring your supply so that we all walk in
-
the fullness together of the glory of God?
-
What are you doing to build it up?
-
Or are you a person that's going to tear it down?
-
Lots of people tear down the church because of church, right?
-
I don't want to participate with that.
-
I want to participate with building the church up in all
-
occasions, on all occasions, no matter what's going on, I'm
-
going to build the church up because that's what he's coming
-
back for. And I don't want to participate
-
with anything that could could hurt his church because people
-
that cry church hurt are actually hurting the church.
-
Amen. Hallelujah.
-
So he's coming back for a glorious church.
-
Amen. And I can't wait to see it all
-
in its fullness because it's going to be a beautiful sight.
-
Y'all all good. OK.
-
It's so quiet in here. It ought to be quiet because we
-
ought to think about what we're thinking about, you know?
-
We need to think about what we're thinking about.
-
Because let me tell you, I know the Holy Spirit is always
-
talking, always talking, always evaluating on the inside.
-
Always. Always.
-
Unless we've given him a deaf ear or hardened our heart,
-
right. He's always talking.
-
Always talking about what's going on.
-
And we know what's going on. We know.
-
Amen. Anyway, let's talk about the
-
Holy Spirit tonight. We we stopped last week and we
-
talked about how important it was that Jesus we saw as our
-
example actually could not accomplish anything that he
-
needed to do except for the Holy Spirit.
-
And we went through multiple, multiple scriptures proving that
-
Jesus, everything about Jesus was by the Holy Spirit.
-
And then everything that he did in the earth was what through
-
the Holy Spirit. He didn't go out and do
-
miracles, signs, and all those things until the what the Holy
-
Spirit came upon him. And so, in recognizing that
-
Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to walk as a man in the earth,
-
realizing that we're going to need the Holy Spirit in our
-
lives, understanding who this Holy Spirit is as the third
-
person of the Godhead. Because so many times, you know,
-
we know who the Father is, we know who Jesus is, but we don't
-
know who the Holy Spirit is, right?
-
And we know that it's important to make sure that we are
-
participating in the fullness of the Trinity.
-
Amen. The fullness of the Trinity.
-
Now we said this last week that nothing about Christ can be
-
revealed without the Holy Spirit, right?
-
And we started out of First Corinthians chapter 2, verses 10
-
through 16. It says this for to us God
-
revealed them through the Spirit.
-
For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.
-
So all things are revealed by the Spirit.
-
For whom among men knows the thoughts of man, except the
-
Spirit of the man which is in him, Even so the thoughts of God
-
no one knows except the Spirit of God.
-
Now we have received not the Spirit of this world, but the
-
Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely
-
given to us by God. Which things we also speak, not
-
in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the
-
Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
-
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit
-
of God, for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand
-
them because they are what spiritually appraised.
-
That's why you hear people that are lost say, well, that book
-
makes no sense to me, and it makes no sense because the
-
Spirit hasn't revealed it to him.
-
They're not born again. They don't have the Spirit of
-
God on the inside of them, for at that time for the Spirit to
-
be revealed to them. Amen.
-
And so all things are spiritually appraised.
-
But he who is spiritual appraises all things.
-
Yet he himself is appraised by no one.
-
For who has known the mind of the Lord that he will instruct
-
him? But we have what?
-
The mind of Christ? Say I have the mind of Christ.
-
Say it again. I had the mind of Christ.
-
I had the mind of Christ. You better have that confession.
-
Amen. Because that's the only thing
-
that's going to keep you sane in this world gone crazy is that I
-
have the mind of Christ. Amen.
-
I don't have to think like the world thinks in insanity and
-
confusion in all these things that the world has going on,
-
right? But I have the mind of Christ.
-
I have the wisdom of God. I have the Spirit of God that
-
reveals to me all things, all things.
-
And I like to say this all things, not just spiritual
-
things. Not just spiritual things.
-
The Holy Spirit can reveal to you right?
-
Things going on in your marriage that needs to be dealt with.
-
The Holy Spirit can reveal to you things that are going on
-
with your kids as you're raising them.
-
And I tell you, I had the Holy Ghost talk to me a lot while I
-
was raising my kids. Amen.
-
And should have listened even more to the Holy Ghost.
-
Instead of trusting what my kids said, I'll just leave it there
-
cuz the Holy Ghost to let you know what's going on time and
-
time again. And if you don't yield to it and
-
believe. Oh, well, they gave you an
-
excuse. But something on the inside
-
don't set right. And the Holy Ghost said
-
something else, right. But little Johnny or whoever.
-
Oh, no, no, no, ma'am. I would never do that.
-
Oh, no, no, I would never. All right.
-
All I say then is your sin will surely find you out.
-
Amen. So the Holy Ghost won't just
-
let, won't just reveal things to you about spiritual things.
-
The Holy Ghost is living on the inside of you to help you every
-
day in all things that pertain to life and godliness.
-
All things. Whatever it is, He can reveal it
-
to you. Amen.
-
And you don't have to be ignorant.
-
You don't. You can know what's going on.
-
You can know what's up with this situation.
-
And so many times we override those promptings that something
-
just don't set right. Well, I tell you what, I learned
-
to yield after multiple times. No, I don't care what you say.
-
I know. Just like Jesus said.
-
No, you did laugh. I know.
-
Because I know the Holy Ghost, and that's how intimate we
-
should be with the Holy Spirit. That we know.
-
We know on the inside what really is going on.
-
Amen. Because he revealed it to us and
-
then we need to yield to it. But Hallelujah.
-
So I want to talk about, because we talked about the fact that
-
Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to be able to fulfill his purpose
-
and operate and do his assignment in the earth.
-
I want to look at the fact that the Holy Spirit or the Word of
-
God is God. Breathe.
-
God, breathe. So the Word itself is God.
-
Breathe by that means divine breath of God.
-
So when you begin to read the Word, because the Holy Spirit,
-
what went and came upon men to pin the word, that's why now the
-
Holy Spirit can be or the Word can come alive, can come alive.
-
And we know Jesus is the word, right?
-
So look at Second Timothy 316 through 17.
-
I told you we're going to cover everything that can be covered.
-
So this is not your typical teaching on the Holy Spirit and
-
His gifts and all these things, though we're going to cover
-
those, but I'm going from beginning to end.
-
So the Second Timothy 3/16/17 says this.
-
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and that
-
inspiration of God literally means God breathed right.
-
So he breathed on his men to pin the word.
-
And it is profitable for doctrine, reproof for
-
correction, instruction, and righteousness.
-
All of these four things should be being brought to the table in
-
whatever church you're attending.
-
The pastor should be teaching doctrine, bringing reproof and
-
correction and instruction and righteousness.
-
All of these things are needed in the church, are needed in the
-
body. We need every bit of it to be
-
able to function and grow as an individual, as a believer in
-
Christ. If we don't have one or the
-
other, we will be out of balance.
-
And there's a lot of out of balance believers that have not
-
submitted themselves to a local pastor or church, and therefore
-
they're not getting all of these things properly.
-
They're feeding on maybe someone that's talking to them just
-
about the love of God, and that's all they want to hear is
-
how much God loves them. Come on, How much God loves
-
them? How much God's loves them?
-
How much God loves them? How much God's grace has
-
forgiven them. So what happens is and then if
-
you go and try to hear someone else that's going to talk to you
-
about living righteously or want to bring any type of correction
-
to the body of Christ because we've gotten off balance, then
-
what do they do? They don't want to hear that, oh
-
this church it for me. All they do is teach on this or
-
teach on that and you know, blah blah blah, you know.
-
And the thing about it is, is that's why you got to be in a
-
church and be committed to a church.
-
Because you have to stay committed to the word for the
-
journey. And you can be able to then
-
minister to people right on a continual basis, a full
-
nutritional diet of the word. And not just fluff, right?
-
Not just this or not just that, but you get a full meal.
-
You get the, what Paul says, the full counsel of God.
-
And that's the type of body that you want to be connected to.
-
So that you're getting a full meal.
-
Everything that you need. You're getting your fruits, your
-
vegetables, right? You're getting your meat and
-
you're getting your milk. Come on, You're getting all of
-
it. Because it's important that we
-
recognize that all scripture is profitable for doctrine,
-
reproof, correction, instruction, and righteousness.
-
That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped
-
for every good work you see that, So you're going to be
-
thoroughly complete, right? If you allow those things to
-
happen in your life, the Word will correct you.
-
Course correction will happen when you get up underneath the
-
Word, because it is alive. It's alive.
-
It's God. Breathe and look at second Peter
-
119 through 21. We're talking about this because
-
you have to recognize that again, the Word and the Spirit
-
will always be in unity. The Word and the Spirit will
-
always be in unity and will always be speaking the same
-
thing. Why is this important?
-
Because a lot of people that aren't in the word or not
-
solidified in a body in a church where the pastors bringing a
-
full meal, they can get off in La La land with the Spirit
-
because they don't have a firm foundation in the word.
-
And they can start listening, just as pastors been talking
-
about through pride. But they can start listening to
-
spirits, demons, doctrines of demons and and deception and
-
lives, deceiving spirits. That's what a deceiving spirit
-
is telling you a lie, deceiving you, twisting it.
-
And if you're not founded in the Word, and you've not allowed the
-
whole, the Word of God to speak to you and to yield to it,
-
you've not yielded to it, then guess what?
-
You will get off listening to the wrong thing.
-
So you need both of them working properly in your life.
-
So Second Peter 119 through 21 says this.
-
So we have the prophetic word made more sure.
-
This word is a prophetic word made more sure than anything
-
else. Anything else?
-
This word is more sure than Dr. Phil, Oprah.
-
Come on, this is a prophetic word, and it's more sure than
-
anything else. And everything in it will bring
-
life. Everything in it will come on,
-
will come to pass. That's why he says it's a
-
prophetic word that will come to fast.
-
And why do you need to know this?
-
Because in the last days there's going to be what false prophets.
-
False prophets bringing a prophetic word.
-
That's pathetic. And it's going to get you off if
-
you don't know, if you don't know what the word of God is
-
saying. Amen.
-
Because they're gonna be in agreement.
-
So it's very important that we recognize that A more sure word
-
to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining
-
in a dark place until the day dawn's and the morning star
-
rises in your hearts. But know this first of all that
-
no prophecy of scripture is a matter of 1 owns per
-
interpretation. For no prophecy was ever made by
-
an act of human will. But when men moved on by the
-
Holy Spirit spoke from God, Amen.
-
So it was by the Holy Spirit speaking through man to pin and
-
write the word of God. And he says it's the prophetic
-
word that's more sure than anything else.
-
You can bet your you can live your life upon it that this word
-
shall come to pass for those who will believe and everything in
-
it will come to pass. That he said would come to pass.
-
It's a more sure word. Hallelujah.
-
So it's very important that we recognize that the word of God
-
was God breathed and inspired by the Holy Spirit.
-
Amen. Now, the next point I want to
-
make about this is that Paul, and we're going to get into this
-
Paul completely. We know Paul wrote over half of
-
the New Testament. And in Paul's ministry, while he
-
was here, he completely relied on the Holy Spirit.
-
He completely relied on the Holy Spirit.
-
You just read the whole book of Ephesians his whole life, right?
-
Everything he talks about in the book of Ephesians, he's talking
-
about the inner working of the Holy Spirit that's living on the
-
inside of us. He's talking about the power of
-
God that's on the inside of us so that the believers that the
-
Ephesus church would know what's going on on the inside.
-
Right. But let's look at a couple of
-
things about what Paul said concerning the Holy Spirit in
-
First Corinthians chapter 2 verses 4 through 5 says this and
-
my message and my preaching. This is Paul.
-
We're not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstrations.
-
What of the Spirit and of power? So that your faith would not
-
rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
-
So he's letting us know. Listen, I didn't just come to
-
you with words. Come on.
-
But no. I came with you with the
-
demonstrations of the Spirit of God and the power of God and
-
everything that I was doing. It was through the Holy Spirit
-
operating in my life to accomplish what Paul needed to
-
accomplish. For the church.
-
Amen. For the church, so that the
-
church could be built up. Hallelujah, First Corinthians.
-
Let me read that in the Amplified it says in My language
-
and my message, were not set forth in persuasive, enticing,
-
and plausible words of wisdom. But they were in demonstration
-
of the Holy Spirit and power approved by the Spirit and the
-
power of God, operating on me, and stirring in the minds of the
-
hearers the most holy emotions, and thus persuading them.
-
Amen. So here again we see that it was
-
the Holy Spirit operating and the power of God operating in
-
and on His life to accomplish what His purpose was for the
-
Lord. First, Thessalonians 15 says
-
this, for our gospel did not come to you, and Word only
-
didn't come just in the Word, but also in the power and the
-
Holy Spirit, and with full conviction.
-
Just as you know what kind of men we proved to be among you
-
for your sake. Amen.
-
So he came and demonstrated and participated and was in
-
partnership with the Holy Spirit to do what He needed to do in
-
the earth for the Lord. And this is what we need to be
-
doing as believers. When we, you know, start talking
-
about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is that we need to
-
recognize that this is a partnership.
-
It's a partnership. Remember also in Corinthians,
-
Paul says that we are Co laborers with Christ.
-
We are in partnership with Him. Well, we have to know the Holy
-
Spirit if we're going to be doing what it is that we're
-
supposed to be partnered up with him to do.
-
We're going to have to know who the Holy Spirit is, how the Holy
-
Spirit works, how He speaks, how He flows, all of those things.
-
We have to know if we are going to do what the Lord needs us to
-
do in the earth. Amen.
-
So we've got to get in partnership with the Holy Spirit
-
look. At for Philippians 2 Philippians
Philippians 2 chapter mention
-
chapter 2 and verse one. It says this.
-
Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, if
-
there is any consolation of love, and if there is any
-
fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, When
-
you look up that word, fellowship of the Spirit in the
-
Greek, it literally means communication.
-
Write this down. If you're taking notes, you
-
should be taking notes. I take notes everywhere I go.
-
Communication, communion. That's what this word means.
-
Fellowship of the Spirit. Communication.
-
Communion, Intimacy, intimacy. And we'll get to that later on.
-
Intimacy with the Holy Spirit and responsibility, That's what
-
that word means in the Greek when you look it up.
-
Fellowship, communication, communion, intimacy and
-
responsibility. And This is why I said we are
-
responsible for what the Holy Spirit has said to us.
-
We're responsible for it, right? We're responsible for it.
-
And it also means over in 2nd Corinthians 1314, go there, 2nd
-
Corinthians 1314. It says The grace of the Lord
-
Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy
-
Spirit be with you all. And that word there in this one
-
also adds partnership and participation, partnership and
-
participation. So we are to communicate
-
commune, become intimately acquainted with the Holy Spirit.
-
I'm going to say that again, become intimately acquainted
-
with the Holy Spirit. Remember the scripture where he
-
says, Lord, Lord, didn't we da, da, da da in your name?
-
And he said, depart from me, for I didn't know you.
-
You know what that word means. I wasn't intimately acquainted
-
with you. That's good.
-
I wasn't intimately acquainted with you.
-
This is serious business. Serious business to know that we
-
know the Holy Spirit working on the inside of us, and to be
-
intimate with the Holy Spirit because we can read.
-
We we already talked about weeks ago what we could do.
-
We can reject him, we can lie to Him.
-
But guess who knows? The Holy Ghost knows when you
-
reject, when you deny, and when you lie.
-
Reject, deny and lie. These are three things we don't
-
want to do with the Holy Spirit. OK, so here we see in this
-
scripture in 2nd Corinthians 1314 and breaking.
-
I just want to break these three points down real quick here that
-
we see that Paul. Of course these are Paul writing
-
letters to the churches, right? Paul is writing letter to the
-
Corinthian church and he greets them with this.
-
But in this greeting there is meaning.
-
In this greeting there is meeting for the church and the
-
meaning behind this scripture. Here we can see three things and
-
all three things are vital for the development of our life as a
-
believer. All three things are vital for
-
our lives as a believer to develop properly because if one
-
is overemphasized, we won't grow properly and will be unbalanced.
-
Like I said earlier, will be unbalanced and just a minute I'm
-
going to get to the three points will be unbalanced.
-
So this letter again was to the church and the teaching that he
-
was giving here was to mature the body.
-
We know Corinthians, That church was full of a mess.
-
There was all kinds of things going on in the Corinthian
-
church. Many times Paul had to write to
-
bring correction right about the Holy Spirit and some other
-
things. You know, you know, somebody
-
sleeping with somebody's, you know, daughter or wife or
-
something, you know. And so there was all kinds of
-
things going on in the Corinthian church.
-
So Paul's writing these letters to help grow them up and mature
-
them because that's what we're supposed to do, to build the
-
body up and to mature them. So the first thing that we
-
recognize here is the grace of the Lord, the grace of the Lord.
-
And we know that this is where it all begins, by the grace,
-
through what faith we've been saved.
-
So it all begins with grace. It begins with grace.
-
But it also grace is there to what continue to empower us to
-
be able to grow and mature. But it all begins with the
-
grace. And then it goes on to say and
-
the love of God, the love of God should be the foundation of
-
everything we do as a believer. The love of God should be the
-
foundation, the motivation. Y'all in my Kingdom Institute
-
class knows this. It should be the foundation and
-
the motivation of everything that we're doing.
-
Because we love the Lord, right? And we fear him.
-
Therefore, if we love Him like we sing these beautiful songs of
-
how much we love Him, then what are we doing to make sure that
-
we're loving Him by keeping His word and allowing the Holy
-
Spirit to mature us and grow us in areas where we're not
-
operating in the love of God. But not only that, what we see
-
is that there are people, believers, that love to talk
-
about the grace. Again, love to talk about the
-
love of God, but they have nothing to do with this
-
communion with the Holy Spirit. They don't want the we know
-
there's churches that don't want anything to do with the Holy
-
Spirit and all they do talk about is the grace and the love.
-
Jesus loves you. And when you die, you get to go
-
to heaven because he loves you, forgave you of your sin.
-
But he again, I told you all this.
-
He didn't just die for our sin. He died to get the glory back in
-
us, to get his presence back in us, to get the Spirit of God
-
back in man that departed from man when Adam fell.
-
So we need all three aspects of this to be able to function in
-
our lives as a believer, to be able to grow and develop
-
properly. If we don't have all three
-
working together, and and and our our, we are not
-
participating with the Holy Spirit and communing, partnering
-
with the Holy Spirit. Meaning when I hire the Holy
-
Spirit, say something, I'm supposed to yield to it.
-
If we don't do it, we will be dysfunctional.
-
We won't develop properly as a believer.
-
We have so many dysfunctional people in the earth already
-
because of sin nature. But you know what's even sadder
-
is that when you see dysfunctional believers, that
-
God never intended for them to look that way, but because they
-
choose not to participate with the power of God, with the
-
presence of God, with the Holy Spirit working in their life,
-
they are dysfunctional believers, dysfunctional
-
believers. And he wanted us to be fully
-
developed, fully mature, fully growing.
-
Come on in who we are in Christ. He didn't want anything about us
-
dysfunctional. He came to actually take care of
-
that dysfunction, and it was by the Holy Spirit working on the
-
inside of us and by the Word of God renewing our mind and
-
washing us. But we cannot yield to that side
-
and still be dysfunctional. Believers, Come on.
-
So that part is our responsibility.
-
Begin again. He already did everything by
-
recreating us in Christ and putting a new spirit within us.
-
So our spirit man is alive unto God.
-
But our mind, our will, our emotions, our our desires that
-
come from this flesh, all of these things still have to be
-
transformed and developed. And that happens by us.
-
Partnering with the Holy Spirit and letting the Holy Spirit be
-
intimate with us. So much so that he knows every
-
detail of your heart, everything you're thinking, come on.
-
Everything about you. Every single thing about you.
-
The Holy Spirit knows everything.
-
You can't hide anything from the Holy Spirit.
-
Can't. You can't hide anything because
-
he's in you. If you're born again, so you
-
can't hide. You can deny, you can reject,
-
you can lie. But the Holy Spirit knows again,
-
everything. Every thought, every behavior,
-
every insecurity, everything. And he's so wants to be intimate
-
with us so that he can reroute and pluck out and deal with all
-
kinds of thought processes and baggage and all kinds of things
-
that we had going on in our life.
-
But if we don't open ourselves up to it, you have the Holy
-
Spirit living in you that can do nothing for you, and you'll
-
still remain A dysfunctional believer.
-
Because we must take responsibility and yield to the
-
Holy Spirit through partnership. And guess what?
-
When we do that, we will have supernatural power when we just
-
acknowledge. Yeah, I see that.
-
I see what you're saying to me. I'm going to acknowledge it.
-
I'm going to yield to it, and then I'm going to let the Holy
-
Spirit deal with it. And whatever I need to do, I'm
-
going to adjust. I'm going to shift.
-
I'm going to change because I'm going to partner with the Holy
-
Spirit. And then when I partner with
-
him, the power will be there so that we can start walking in a
-
supernatural life and walking in the fullness of the power of God
-
that he has and partnership with the Holy Spirit consistently.
-
You can't just do it one time and think you're all good.
-
No, this is a journey for life of partnership.
-
You're committed to this thing. Come on, you're in covenant.
-
And so I'm going to take the responsibility that anytime I
-
hear something that the Holy Spirit knows about me or shows
-
me or reveals to me that needs to be tweaked and change, guess
-
what? I'm going to yield to it every
-
single time. And when I become consistent in
-
that, then character can begin to be built.
-
Come on, all of these things can begin to be built in your life,
-
but without the consistency Popping in here and there.
-
And you know, whenever you feel like it, come on.
-
Without the consistency, nothing will change.
-
You have to be consistent at consistent, consistent at being
-
yielded to the Holy Spirit all the time, all the time, right.
-
You know, I had to repent. I told you all that.
-
When you know, actually I've gotten 2 calls now in the last
-
week to be able to speak at other places and and so the
-
first call I got was they wanted me to come to a women's.
-
Meeting in Albania and I was like, I don't want to go, I
-
don't want to go. We're already going to India and
-
they want me to come that the tail end of going to India.
-
And I mean going to India is it's a journey.
-
I mean you, you know, it's just different And it smells like
-
nothing you will ever smell in your ever life.
-
And so anyway, so I'm thinking, I mean, I'm already going to
-
India and now they want me to come to Albania to do this
-
women's meeting. And I said I, you know, I don't
-
want to go. And then I had to repent,
-
because you know what the Holy Ghost told me?
-
You told me that you would go where I wanted you to go.
-
You would say what I wanted you to say.
-
Come on. That you would do what I wanted
-
you to do. And he corrected me.
-
I mean, Lord, I'm already going to India.
-
Can I just be home? That was correction, OK?
-
You told me. You told me.
-
He'll remind you of those things, right?
-
Isn't that what he says, what he said, what God said?
-
But he'll remind you the things you said, that you said to him.
-
And then the very next, that same week, I got another call to
-
go do a women's retreat in what was that Boise ID?
-
Well, I couldn't go to that because I already have a
-
vacation plan because we're going on our cruise for our
-
anniversary. So it was those same dates.
-
But you know, you know what I did ask, Lord, do I need, I
-
didn't even ask my husband, do we need to cancel this cruise?
-
Because I'll do what he needs me to do, but I didn't get a
-
release for that. Thank the Lord.
-
Thank the Lord so the Holy Ghost knows you better than anything
-
else. And.
-
That's his job. To talk to you, to correct you,
-
to remind you right of these things.
-
Are you? Are you all in?
-
Don't you remember when you told me right, you'd go where I tell
-
you to go? You'd do what I tell you to do.
-
You'd say what I tell you to say.
-
And you know I regret even saying that.
-
You know, Come on in, the natural.
-
I don't want to say some of the things I have to say by the Holy
-
Ghost, right, but you want to yield because it's for the best,
-
it's for the betterment, it's for the growth of the body, it's
-
for the growth of the maturing of the Saints.
-
And things need to be said because I'm going to tell you
-
what, in these last days, we've got to be keen to hearing what
-
the Spirit is saying. So consistency is important to
-
continue to develop that godly character in your life.
-
And without the daily fellowship, we will not live a
-
victorious life. We won't live a victorious life.
-
So we can be saved. Come on.
-
We can even be filled, but we can still live defeated.
-
As a believer, if we are not daily in fellowship with the
-
Holy Spirit, we will be defeated without acknowledging the Holy
-
Spirit working in our lives, we will always think there has to
-
be something more and we will never be fully satisfied.
-
We'll never be in rest and we'll never be in peace.
-
And I know so many believers that are still never in rest and
-
never in peace. And it's simply because they're
-
not being intimate daily with the Holy Spirit.
-
Because if you are being intimate daily with the Holy
-
Spirit, there will be faith, there will be rest, and there
-
will be peace in every situation, In every situation,
-
every situation. Amen.
-
And we can live a victorious life that way.
-
Amen. Hallelujah.
-
So why is this important? If we don't have all three
-
aspects of the Holy Spirit working in our life by love, by
-
grace, and by communing and fellowshipping with the Holy
-
Spirit? Listen, we're not gonna rise up
-
and be and walk out what God needs us to be in the earth.
-
That's just the bottom line, because we won't know how to
-
partner and work with the Holy Spirit and work with him, and
-
we'll be working things out on our own.
-
We'll be working it out on our own and we'll be trying to make
-
everything happen ourselves. And we want it to be easy,
-
right? We want it to be easy.
-
Well, guess what? If you will just partner with
-
the working of the Holy Spirit in your life every day, it can
-
be easy. It can be easy.
