  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Well, I am Brandon Hicks, Pastor

  4. Brandon. I am the youth pastor here at

  5. Anchor Bay Church. Everybody giving up for the

  6. youth presidents do. Pastor Earl has been preaching

  7. on pride. Is everybody been enjoying

  8. these? Yep, one of the one of the

  9. scriptures he gave him to get a little recap for him and it was

  10. Second Peter chapter 3, verse three.

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  11. Say Second Peter chapter 3 verse 3.

    2 Peter 3:3

  12. NLT says. Most importantly, I want to

  13. remind you. That in the last days scoffers

  14. will come mocking the truth and following their desires.

  15. This is not God's intent for his church, and I don't believe that

  16. this is a building full of scoffers.

  17. I'm encouraged to know that I am ministering to people who are

  18. hungry, who desire the word of God, who want to rightly divide

  19. the word of God, who. And I believe that you're going

  20. to be drawing on me because, you know, whenever a person is

  21. ministering, they can. Feel whether or not someone is

  22. drawing on them or whether or not they're just waiting for

  23. lunch time. Just check, you know?

  24. But I believe that this house is a house that's ready.

  25. We have a desire and a hunger for the Word, and we want to see

  26. what God's going to have, because there's no scoffers in

  27. here. Amen.

  28. Say I am not a scoffer. Amen.

  29. I believe that you said correctly.

  30. So tonight, this morning I I said tonight because it usually

  31. I'm ministering on a Wednesday night.

  32. So it is this morning still. I think it is morning still

  33. pierced by a choice say pierced by a choice.

  34. Now the Lord gave me this title before Pastor Earl asked me to

  35. minister on a specific subject. Because at first he said where

  36. other staff mean. He said pastor random, I'll have

  37. you do this Sunday. I'm not getting me.

  38. I'm like, OK, cool. You know, I played it cool.

  39. You know, I was like, awesome. Yeah, no problem, pastor.

  40. I'm thinking awesome. So what am I going to tell him?

  41. You know? So then you start asking the

  42. Lord, you know? And the last thing I want to

  43. give you is something that I've already preached in the current

  44. because they could be easy. I've been doing this for like 13

  45. years. So like I was a children's

  46. pastor. It was a youth pastor.

  47. So I'm like, it was easy. I have like.

  48. Encyclopedia is full of just notes of messages.

  49. I'm like, I could just pull something, but that's not what

  50. God had for you this morning because the word is alive and

  51. living and active and sharper than any two edges sword.

  52. So I know that God has a fresh rainbow word for you today, and

  53. if you'll have ears to hear, then you're going to receive

  54. something. You're going to leave here today

  55. better than you came in, right? Because that's the idea.

  56. When we come to church, we want to leave better than we were

  57. when we got here. We shouldn't be frowning after

  58. serving our lunch. When we eat lunch, our waiters

  59. and waitress were like, oh, I'm so sorry.

  60. Are you having a bad day? You know what?

  61. Seriously. We're children of God.

  62. We have joy with the joy of the Lord.

  63. We should get a ha ha ha up in our spirit everywhere we go

  64. because we left the House of the Lord.

  65. Amen. So Pierce by choice we have your

  66. bibles turn to revelation. I saw pastor.

  67. This is serious. Y'all laughing.

  68. I'm serious. I saw pastor.

  69. Earlier this once I was like. What?

  70. He started his message in Revelation.

  71. I'm like. I'm afraid to even read that.

  72. Book like it's kind of no, no, no.

  73. We're going to start. In your bibles in Revelation

    Revelation 5:12

  74. chapter 5, verse 12, say chapter 5, verse 12, the new King James

  75. Version says it this way, saying with a loud voice Worthy is the

  76. Lamb who is slain to receive power and riches and wisdom.

  77. And strength and honor. And glory and blessing.

  78. Because he was slain, He was worthy of honor, you understand?

  79. Jesus had a choice. He had a choice, he said.

  80. Do you not know that I could call down a legion of angels at

  81. anytime and rescue me from this cross?

  82. He didn't have to do that. He's not some suffering servant

  83. saved by grace. You know that the that the we

  84. all look, I'm just a suffering, you know, I'm just holding on.

  85. You know, God's going to get me through this.

  86. No, that is not the church that Jesus is the head of.

  87. He's the head of a victorious church.

  88. He's the head of a bold church. He's the head of a church that

  89. knows who they are because they read the word.

  90. So he was pierced by a choice. He had a choice.

  91. He said I would not even came. Had not my father sent me so the

  92. greatest thing he could do to? Honor, his father was do the

  93. thing that his father called him to do by his shops.

  94. We were healed. It's because of that.

  95. Piercing that he chose, it would have done.

  96. We could have had no power without him shedding blood.

  97. It's his blood that was shed, poured out for us, and he was

  98. pierced by a choice. He had a choice to made.

  99. He had a choice to make. The Strong's word for honor is

  100. to esteem at the highest degree. So that word honor that you see

  101. in Revelation means to esteem to the highest degree.

  102. If you honor something, you hold it of utmost importance.

  103. You are saying yes, this is what I choose.

  104. We should have this hunger and esteem.

  105. For the word of. God, it should be #1 on our

  106. list. It's not something that we'll

  107. get to if we're not too tired. It's not something that will do

  108. on days that it doesn't affect my schedule.

  109. No, it is something that we should have a high regard.

  110. The first thing that wakes me up in the morning, though, it

  111. should be the last thing I'm thinking about in the morning.

  112. Throughout my day. I should be saying, how am I

  113. honoring you today, Father? Because I'm showing everyone

  114. that I'm a believer. Because the number one thing

  115. that world the world calls unbelievable is a church that

  116. does that, hears something true and does something different.

  117. That's what unbelieving world finds simply unbelievable.

  118. Someone said that I have no idea who it was.

  119. It wasn't me. An unbelieving world calls that

  120. absolutely unbelievable to see people that call themselves

  121. Christians and go live church and they'll put their Jesus fish

  122. sticker or their or their Jesus crosses on you know on the

  123. window. But then they'll Hulk and flip

  124. you the bird in traffic and acting all crazy and you know

  125. like getting irate it to drive through because they can't get

  126. your order right now see so we are believers.

  127. This is not the nature of God. So this should not be who people

  128. see when they see. That's a Christian.

  129. Really. People should not be surprised

  130. if if you're if you're people at your work, your associates at

  131. your workplace found out you're a Christian, would they be

  132. surprised? You don't have to answer.

  133. It's just it's a question for you to say you're right.

  134. I don't really represent God while I'm at work, but this is

  135. just personal. As a side note, Jesus is not a

  136. fad. You know, living a life for

  137. Christ is not a fad. It's not something we go

  138. through. You know, humanity operates in

  139. fads. For example, in the 70s,

  140. sixties, 70s, there were bell bottoms.

  141. That was a fad. You know, I don't know.

  142. I wasn't around yet. I'm an 82 baby holler for all

  143. the 80s babies in the house. So, so.

  144. But that was a fad they all had. Well, bottoms, that was just a

  145. thing Then they it faded out OK then and now my late 80s, early

  146. 90s, I had a mullet haircut. I remember I have my elementary

  147. school pictures and I remember I rocked A mullet with the with

  148. with real short hair on the side.

  149. I had a spike haircut. So I had a mullet and a spike

  150. haircut. I went so far in this fad.

  151. Then I put a perm in my mullet because if you'll notice, I

  152. don't have curly hair, but I wanted curly hair because when a

  153. perm gets wet, you see the real curls, it activates the perm,

  154. you know, and it's real curly. So I would just get out of

  155. shower and wet my hair. And then me and Devin, my little

  156. brother, I don't even know if he's here today, but you know,

  157. me and my little brother here we were play and we were just, I

  158. would be like, you know, I'm like, I'm pretending to be Van

  159. Dam. And I'm like, he won this more

  160. of the movies. He had this real curly hair.

  161. And I'm like. Man, this is it.

  162. But that was a fad. Now you see, now you see that

  163. the 70s and 60s is coming back around.

  164. It's still in a circle. It's enter, it's coming in.

  165. But oh, I want what? Why would Why do we do these

  166. things? That's the question.

  167. Fads. I think a fads kind of short for

  168. fading away. It'll come and it'll fade out.

  169. The Kingdom of God is not a fad. The Kingdom of God is not going

  170. to fade away. It was the same.

  171. He's the same yesterday, today and forever.

  172. So in the beginning, he was the Word.

  173. Now he's the Word. And in the end, he'll be the

  174. Word. And when heaven and earth passes

  175. away, he'll still be the Word. A new heaven and new earth will

  176. come down. But he's still the Word.

  177. The Word will not change. You know, we're not going to get

  178. a new copy of the Bible. That's completely different.

  179. When the new heaven and the new earth comes down, it's the same.

  180. And it will always remain. Amen.

  181. Funny story before I really get into it.

  182. That was my intro. Buddy of mine Matt he's in the

  183. building this morning and you know he mean him we share some

  184. similar things that we liked as hobbies and one of them is

  185. talking and so so he he's like hey man he's like hey hey he's

  186. like hey I said I heard uh heard you got today's you got a word

  187. today I said yes. I said I've got something to say

  188. to him. I said worst case scenario, I'm

  189. just going to have you come up here and we'll just tell

  190. everyone who we are and that's 45 minutes in itself because the

  191. only. Person that likes to talk more

  192. than me. It's Matt Hunt and everyone that

  193. knows him is. He knows that one last story

  194. that I'm really going to get into.

  195. Last story, the first time I ever, the first time I ever

  196. preached in front of Pastor Earl was in Nicaragua and his

  197. Vladimir. Vladimir might be in here.

  198. Vladimir, He's in the back. I see him.

  199. He was probably there. I'm as a matter of fact, I know

  200. he was there. First time I ever preached.

  201. I was so nervous. Now you got to understand the

  202. demographics. Sit down until I asked them or

  203. told them You may be seated. I I'm in Nicaragua, there was at

  204. least 80 to 100 men, OK. In this group, it was a men's

  205. camp and they're all in there and they stood up to honor the

  206. speaker, and they have such great honor in this country that

  207. they would. They stood, So I'm up here and

  208. I'm so nervous. You know, Pastor Marcus, he just

  209. got done singing and then I'm getting up here and I'm like,

  210. OK, I've got my nose. I'm so nervous.

  211. Pastor Earl, sitting here, I'm in another country.

  212. It's really my first time preaching.

  213. And I'm like, I'm like, you know, I'm like, so I just, I

  214. just launched into, I just started, I introduced myself and

  215. I just started and they're still standing.

  216. I didn't notice. I'm just.

  217. No big deal. They're still standing.

  218. So finally and I'm so and I'm and there's no microphone and

  219. I'm in this loud building and it's just hot and there's a

  220. metal roof and there's, you know, it's just so I'm

  221. projecting my voice. So I'm like, really?

  222. Yelling, I'm like, I'm like, you know, I because I knew I was

  223. projecting my voice, you know? So then all sudden I see, I see.

  224. Pastor. No, it was John.

  225. It was his son Sean. Sean was on that trip.

  226. So Sean, his oldest son, Sean, he walked over the back.

  227. And Sean's doing this. I'm like, I must be talking too

  228. loud. So I start monotoning my voice

  229. down a little bit. I started, you know, I started

  230. talking a little lower. So finally now there's an

  231. interpreter. It may have been Ernie.

  232. Yeah, there's an interpreter. I'm sure it probably was there.

  233. Ernie was. He's interpreted for me because

  234. they have no idea what I'm saying.

  235. I mean, I'm Appalachian English. There's Appalachian English, and

  236. then the, you know, there's Spanish.

  237. So they have no idea what I'm saying.

  238. He's interpreting. To the best of his ability.

  239. And and finally Pastor Earl says have him sit down real loud and

  240. now they have no idea what he said.

  241. And then finally I was like you may be seated and then he

  242. interprets you may be sitting and they all sit down.

  243. I was like, so I was reminded of that account this morning

  244. because I just wanted to get you guys kind of the eyes, little

  245. icebreaker, because you know, the word of God is not heavy.

  246. The word of God sets us free. I'm gonna.

  247. I'm gonna step on some sacred cows.

  248. But I. It's not something for you to

  249. say. You know it shouldn't raw you up

  250. or man. It should set you free and

  251. should say OK, yes, I see that now.

  252. I see how your your love has done that for me.

  253. I can honor you by reading your word and doing your word,

  254. because that's the greatest form of honor.

  255. The greatest form of honor that Jesus could have done for his

  256. father was to do everything he sent him to do.

  257. He said he wouldn't have even. Had not God sent him?

  258. Chapter 13, verse 13. In other words, Jesus wasn't

  259. sitting up there saying, let me go, let me go, let me go, let me

  260. go. Get murdered.

  261. Killed, you know, Beard ripped out.

  262. Let me, let me. Just let me know.

  263. No. He was sent and he willingly

  264. obeyed. And it was his greatest form of

  265. honor, for his father was to obey that what the Lord asking

  266. so. This is where the message

  267. starts. Says whosoever despiseth the

  268. Word shall be destroyed, but he that feareth the commandment

  269. shall be rewarded. That Word despise means to

  270. disrespect. Fear of the Lord is more of

  271. obedience, so let's try it this way.

  272. Whosoever despises or disrespects the Word, shall be

  273. destroyed. But he that.

  274. Has obedience to the commandments of God will be

  275. rewarded? Now that's a different way of

  276. reading it, because I know no one would ever say I I ain't

  277. reading the Bible. I I despise that no one's ever

  278. done this, even. Unbelievers have a have a

  279. reverence for the word of God, you know, because they know that

  280. it's sacred. They know that they know that

  281. it's right. They don't want to submit and

  282. crucify their flesh yet, but they know it's right.

  283. The other day they know it's right.

  284. My dad, my dad, all he raised me up.

  285. He just he was a great dad, but not a spiritual father.

  286. Father, because he wasn't born again.

  287. He taught me how to do things naturally, but he could never

  288. teach me how to do things spiritually.

  289. But at the end of the day, he knew on Sunday mornings I would

  290. try to go to him and that would be my way out.

  291. Dad, let me stay home from church.

  292. You know, I don't want moms making me go to church.

  293. Didn't you know I shouldn't have to.

  294. She shouldn't make me go to church.

  295. Dad, come up. Tell her I'm not going to go.

  296. You know she has to listen to you.

  297. Your dad Now, son, you need to go to church with your mom, even

  298. though he wasn't himself going. He knew that was right and

  299. thankfully he was able to get in by the skin of his teeth.

  300. You know, like he. Later, he passed away of cancer.

  301. That he did not have to. He could have, he could have

  302. received a word from God because there are other cancer people in

  303. here. Randy somewhere.

  304. Like he mentioned the Mayo Clinic during offering, Yeah,

  305. there's two different sides of cancer.

  306. There's a side that we just give into it and say, Oh my gosh,

  307. it's cancer. It's uncurable.

  308. Or there's a side where I'm going to believe God, and if I

  309. die, I'm going to die believe. God, because it is not his will,

  310. it is not his will for me to die and but my father never had

  311. revelation of that so peace or come to his illness but at the

  312. end of his Rd. He was able to confess with his

  313. mouth, believe in his heart, become born again.

  314. He was able to have water baptism, which we'll do here in

  315. a little bit by sprinkling water, because he wasn't even

  316. able to get out of bed at this point.

  317. He's they sprinkle water on him and water baptized.

  318. He got filled with a Holy Spirit.

  319. He spoke in other tongues, I mean, but it wasn't a revelation

  320. for him to change his life. It was just security of leaving

  321. the planet. But that's not God's desire for

  322. you. You don't have to get there.

  323. That's his desire is never for you to die.

  324. Ever. God's not putting a sickness on

  325. you, teaching you a lesson He's not.

  326. No. If you're sick, you need to

  327. fight the good or fight of faith and come out of it.

  328. Amen. All right, let's keep going.

  329. Proverbs, Chapter 13, verse 13 in the Passion Translation says

    Proverbs 13:13

  330. despise the word, will you? Then you'll pay the price.

  331. And it won't be pretty. But the one who honors the

  332. Father's holy instructions will be rewarded.

  333. The fear of the Lord is directly related to honor.

  334. If you honor the word of God, then it'll produce life for you.

  335. It can't produce anything else if you have a high.

  336. Esteem and you honor the word of God as it was spoken and

  337. written, then it cannot fail, he said.

  338. My word will not return back to me empty or without power, but

  339. it will accomplish everything that I sent it to accomplish.

  340. So if you're wondering why God's word is not working for you,

  341. then is a question of you. It's not a question of the word,

  342. because if we fail to believe God at what he said, then we

  343. will fail to have its outcome. My dad failed to believe the

  344. power. I asked him one day.

  345. I asked him one day. Randy actually bought me a plane

  346. ticket to go up there. Because I wanted to.

  347. I wanted to be able to be with him and kind of walk him through

  348. this. Because I had gained such great

  349. revelation of the healing power of God.

  350. I knew this was easy, but I had to get his mind changed because

  351. Jesus said repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.

  352. Repent means to change your thinking.

  353. So I knew I had to get his thinking change because he's so,

  354. you know what little bit of church his mother did bring him

  355. up in was Southern Baptist, which was.

  356. Just being born again. That was it.

  357. If we're born again, that's all that matters.

  358. And every time we go to church, we're going to get born again.

  359. Again. Because that's the Hellfire

  360. brimstone preaching. Let me tell you today about a

  361. man named Jesus and how he died on the cross and how he rose.

  362. Come on, you'll ever been in one of these churches.

  363. It's exciting. It's exciting, It's exciting,

  364. but but it will not empower you to live the Kingdom on the

  365. earth. It will only give you a good

  366. night's sleep, knowing that if you die before you wake the

  367. Lord, your soul, he will take. That's it.

  368. That's all it'll do for you. And that's the level of

  369. understanding of the word that my dad had.

  370. So in the end, he was able to become born again.

  371. And I believe now he is present with the Lord because to be

  372. absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

  373. I will see him again one day. Amen.

  374. The reverence for the Lord means deep respect.

  375. Obedience is a form of honor. If I am honoring if I deeply.

  376. Respect the word of God. Then I'm going to obey the what

  377. it says. I'm going to obey the word of

  378. God because if I have honor for the word, then I'm going to obey

  379. it. My son, who's honoring me by

  380. obeying, he's taking notes. I said, son, I want you to sell

  381. the front seat today. I want you to take notes and I

  382. want to read your notes and I'm gonna compare him to my notes

  383. and we'll see how well you did. Because I want to equip him to

  384. be a note taker. Pastor Mike coins this phrase he

  385. says on on the paper off the mind because it is impossible

  386. for you to remember everything that said when you leave, so

  387. become good note takers. You can take notes on your phone

  388. if you have your notifications turned off because the devil

  389. will distract you. Oh, Facebook post, oh, Instagram

  390. post, oh, grocery list reminder, Oh, there's all types of

  391. distractions. Take notes.

  392. Become a good note taker so that you can go back and read over

  393. your notes. Review your notes.

  394. I've got notes from every service I've ever said in here

  395. because it's just that important, because it's

  396. everything that I say to you and everything that Pastor Earl says

  397. from the platform is not in our notes.

  398. So it's not like we're going to say, Oh yeah, you missed

  399. something, I'll. E-mail you my notes.

  400. He did this once. He sent me his notes, he said.

  401. Here, I'm going to say I'm going to give you some notes.

  402. It's OK. Cool.

  403. It's just scripture references. I'm like, hey pastor, got your

  404. scriptures, send me your notes. Those are my notes.

  405. Great. It's awesome.

  406. Appreciate it. I'm going to read the Bible too.

  407. So James chapter one, verse 22. Say James chapter one, verse 22.

  408. I make my teenagers do this because if you hear me say it,

  409. but then you yourself say it, there's twice, twice to get a

  410. chance that you're going to retain it.

  411. Because it's not about me. I've got it here.

  412. I need you to get it. Amen James chapter one verse 22

  413. says don't just listen to the word of truth and not respond to

  414. it for that is the essence of self deception.

  415. Notice it doesn't say the devil's deceiving you.

  416. That's the essence of self deception.

  417. So always let his word become like poetry, written and

  418. fulfilled by your life. Response is an action.

  419. If you're doing the word of God, you're it's a response.

  420. That's an action. OK.

  421. I can't say that I'm going to do God's word.

  422. If you don't see me doing God's word, you understand because.

  423. And then it says that God's word will come to pass.

  424. He desires that it comes to pass through.

  425. So he said my word will come to pass.

  426. OK. And it's and it will.

  427. Someone's going to do it. He desires it to come to pass

  428. through you. He wants his word to come to

  429. pass through. He wants to see his blessings

  430. come and fulfilled being fulfilled in your life.

  431. He wants to see his provision be provided to you in your life.

  432. He wants to see health in your life.

  433. He wants his word to come to pass through you.

  434. He wants your testimony to be that what will cause people to

  435. overcome their situation, because someone may be going

  436. through something that you already went through.

  437. So why don't you let them hear how God was faithful for you and

  438. help encourage him? My gosh, He says he's no

  439. respecter of persons. So if he'll do it for this

  440. little apple actually got from Kentucky, then he's going to do

  441. it for me. You understand what I'm saying?

  442. He, he, He loves to perform His Word.

  443. He loves it. It is a great honor for him to

  444. see you applying your faith in His Word and having it coming to

  445. pass in your life. Amen.

  446. It says your your life should be flowing like a beautiful poem.

  447. Now listen, I don't read poetry newsflash.

  448. But when I think of poetry, I think of something that just.

  449. Smoothly rolls off the lips when you're reading it.

  450. It just flows. It's just a good smooth flow.

  451. And that's how God desires your life to be.

  452. Your life should be just a good smooth flow.

  453. And now we live in a fallen world and there is an enemy.

  454. He's the devil and he does not want you to succeed, just to let

  455. you know he wants you to fail. But it is up to you because

  456. Jesus already conquered him. Jesus conquered death hell in

  457. the grave. He conquered.

  458. He's gotten the keys to Hades. OK, so he's already fought the

  459. fight. It is up to you to fight the

  460. good fight of faith that Paul talks about and have what Jesus

  461. did come to pass in your life. Because last time I checked, I

  462. am seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  463. So if Jesus could overcome something that says that he was

  464. tempted on all accounts. Which means well, now I'm

  465. different. Pastor, this is not.

  466. You know, they didn't have cell phones back when Jesus was

  467. there. So how do we know he could have

  468. overcome? No, he was tempted on all

  469. accounts. That's what the word says.

  470. So if he was able to overcome all temptation, then we can

  471. overcome all temptation. That's it.

  472. There's no temptation that will ever come to you.

  473. That the blood of Jesus cannot overpower it is up to.

  474. You say me. It's up to you to gain

  475. revelation through the reading of the word and say, OK, I'm

  476. going to apply this word to my life.

  477. That is my job. That's my job.

  478. Period. That is up to me.

  479. If I'm if God's Word is failing for me, then it is my fault.

  480. It is me failing to believe it and failing to apply that to

  481. apply it. I I mean if you're a first time

  482. guess, you cannot experience aggravate church in one service.

  483. You have to come at least go back at least five times.

  484. So just know I'm very passionate when it comes to word and when

  485. it comes to obeying the word, you have to be equally as a

  486. passionate. About it.

  487. Because it doesn't matter what you know.

  488. It says that you deceive yourself if you're doing.

  489. If you're not doing the word you know, then you're deceiving

  490. yourself right now. The sad thing about deception?

  491. Is that people that are deceived don't know they're deceived.

  492. Well, good news. I've got an answer.

  493. Read the Bible so you can realize that's me.

  494. I'm deceived. I need to repent.

  495. I need to change my thinking because there was, you know,

  496. like I said, my grandmother was Southern Baptist.

  497. Ain't no speaking in tongues at a Southern Baptist church.

  498. Y'all OK? And ain't having that died out

  499. with the apostles. They say, OK, let's talk.

  500. But that's false. That's there's no scripture to

  501. to to give the evidence of that. There is evidence of a spirit

  502. filled, tongue talking believing church that is in the planet

  503. today. We are a spirit filled

  504. organization. The word of God is is the He's

  505. the helper, He's my helper. He's the one that Jude verse 20

  506. says praying the Holy Ghost building yourselves up in your

  507. most holy faith. That's why I'm doing it.

  508. And Jude's the 2nd to last book of the Bible.

  509. So if it was supposed to be gone away with it and probably been

  510. the second book of the Bible, not the first book.

  511. But there's nothing from just as a revelation.

  512. Everything that's in there is applicable for today, and it is

  513. for you today. And if you'll receive it, you

  514. can grow by and be empowered by it.

  515. Amen. So I got four things that we're

  516. going to focus on this morning. Say 4 things.

  517. You need to write these down, Text them to yourself.

  518. Remind yourself. We're going to talk about four

  519. things. It's interesting when the Holy

  520. Ghost talks to other people that don't really know that someone

  521. else got it. Like Pastor Marcus this morning

  522. he talked about maintaining, you know, during praise the war

  523. should be talked about a maintenance.

  524. There's a maintenance and a maintain.

  525. That's one of the four points that you're going to get.

  526. So it's super exciting to see that God has went before us and

  527. before we're. Before I ever even took the

  528. first note, he already had a plan and a purpose because I'm

  529. led by his spirit. Amen.

  530. So number one, say #1. It's purpose.

  531. You don't have to repeat everything.

  532. Only if I Only if I tell you to say it.

  533. I get this a lot. I get this a lot.

  534. My teenagers, they did it on purpose.

  535. I don't think you guys did it on purpose, but they'll just keep

  536. your family like you're done. You don't have to repeat me

  537. anymore. Our lives should have purpose

  538. for God's Kingdom and His church.

  539. I'm gonna say it again. Our lives should have purpose.

  540. And those that purpose should be for God's Kingdom and for His

  541. church. This purpose drives us.

  542. This purpose is what we wake up. And I know that God has a plan

  543. for me. God needs me.

  544. You understand what I'm saying? He needs me, I said underneath

  545. the teaching one time for several years of my life.

  546. And I would constantly hear the person from the platform saying,

  547. God doesn't need you, you know? He's gonna and he that God

  548. doesn't need you. He's no he's going to do it

  549. anyway. God wants to do it through us.

  550. You know He needs us, He said. The earth is given to man, the

  551. heavens are the heavens of the Lord.

  552. But the earth He's given to man, He's given it to us to maintain

  553. it. He's given to us to be able to

  554. speak His word in it, half faith in it, as our our God's word

  555. through our mouth is just as powerful as God's Word coming

  556. out of his mouth. Because when I say I am healed

  557. by His stripes, that's the same power as when God said you are

  558. healed by my stripes. That's it.

  559. When I believe it, it's the same.

  560. It doesn't. It's the same.

  561. Amen. It says the same #2, say #2.

  562. Function. Say function.

  563. You're good. All right.

  564. And we'll get this. We'll get this before lunch.

  565. We'll get it. Function our lives.

  566. It should have a function for God's Kingdom in His church.

  567. Notice His Kingdom, His church. Our lives should have a

  568. function. There is a part we can play.

  569. We can do more than just here, we can do.

  570. If something has a function, that means it does something #3.

  571. Performance. Say performance.

  572. Our lives should be performing in God's Kingdom.

  573. In His church, our lives should be performing and #4 what Pastor

  574. Marcus was all over is maintenance.

  575. Our lives should maintain themselves in God's Kingdom and

  576. in His church. There's enough, if we're reading

  577. the word, praying in the Spirit, building ourselves up there is

  578. enough to maintain us. We shouldn't have to, you know.

  579. Oh, we're so we got no, there's enough.

  580. God's word is enough. Same in #1 we said was purpose.

  581. Let's talk about purpose. Our purpose should wake us up in

  582. the morning. Your purpose.

  583. When you wake up in the morning, it's like yes, yes.

  584. He didn't return last night, so I'm going to God.

  585. I got another day. He's got a purpose for me in

  586. this planet and I'm going to perform it.

  587. I'm going to do it. Our purpose should drive us

  588. through the day. Listen, we should be.

  589. We'll be going down the road. What am I going to get to do?

  590. Where am I going? Listening to the Holy Spirit,

  591. the one that's alive, the one that's in the planet, the third

  592. person, we've got God the Father, God the Son, God the

  593. Holy Spirit. God is in heaven, on a throne.

  594. Jesus is it, as at his right hand.

  595. So he's in heaven. And now the Holy Spirit, that's

  596. the third person, dwells on the inside of us who believe it and

  597. received it by faith. Now he can let me know what the

  598. will of my Heavenly Father is. And now if I'm in heavenly

  599. places in Christ Jesus, then this the holy I need that.

  600. We need the Holy Spirit. Say we need the Holy Spirit.

  601. He's our helper, our purpose. Our purpose should give us

  602. peace. When we lay down to fall asleep

  603. at night. My wife says that she hates it

  604. because I fall asleep before she does.

  605. You have ears to hears. Probably because that's the

  606. word. That's why she hates it.

  607. She doesn't hate it that her husband gets such good, restful

  608. sleep before she does. It's because if she doesn't race

  609. me to sleep, she's gonna have a hard time.

  610. She's gonna have to turn like no rain noises up or turn the A/C

  611. on or something. You know?

  612. I went on a men stripped with Duncan Daly one time.

  613. I don't know if we're Duncan that but Duncan Yeah, I was.

  614. He's in the best sound, but they have black shirts on, so I have

  615. no idea where he's at. I see a head.

  616. So Duncan Daly was my roommate. And Duncan was like, he's super

  617. nice as hey now, Pastor, he said.

  618. Now I'm gonna let you know he's like, you know, I tend to snore,

  619. especially when you know when I'm tired.

  620. I said, you know what, That's no problem.

  621. I snore too, especially when I'm tired.

  622. So when he said I snore, I mean, I didn't realize I was think,

  623. wow, he does snore. So, so, and I'm sure he thought

  624. the same thing about me, because, I mean, I have to sound

  625. like I'm trying to suck my nose through my skull like when I'm

  626. asleep anyway. Anyway, it was a race for us.

  627. We would get in our room at night and we knew we had to get

  628. up early, so we wanted to get as much sleep as possible.

  629. But if he fell asleep before I did, it's going to be rough.

  630. It's going to be rough for me to fall asleep, but if.

  631. You know, so we would race. All right, all right, good

  632. night. And we like, we wouldn't even

  633. say, yeah, we wasn't talking. We didn't say nothing like, all

  634. right, man, I gotta say no more. And we just like try to fall

  635. asleep. Try to fall asleep because we

  636. knew that we need. To get some rest.

  637. So our purpose should give us peace at night.

  638. We should. It should be easy for us to fall

  639. asleep, and if you're wrought up about something that's causing

  640. you to lose sleep, you got to give it to the Lord.

  641. You got to say, Lord, I'm going to cast my care on you.

  642. It's just your burden to carry, not mine.

  643. I'm a believer. I'm a tiger.

  644. I am a candidate for your blessings in my life.

  645. I should not be having a hard time sleeping at night.

  646. I don't need to medicate myself or take another pill to make

  647. myself fall asleep. I don't even care to take

  648. melatonin. Because that's something like a

  649. natural sleep aid. Well, you know, honestly,

  650. natural sleep aid is falling asleep.

  651. To me, that's that's the most natural form of sleep aid

  652. possible. I don't want to become so

  653. dependent on a melatonin. Then I get somewhere.

  654. I don't have melatonin, so I can't fall asleep anymore

  655. because I've just naturally medicated myself.

  656. No. The peace of God gives me rest.

  657. The peace of God gives me hope. It lets me know, yes, I'm doing

  658. your word. I'm doing your will.

  659. Your blessings are for my life. I am a candidate to have your

  660. Kingdom manifest in my life. Amen.

  661. Second thing we said was function.

  662. Say function. We must know our function in

  663. God's Kingdom and in His shirt. We need to know what our

  664. function is because there are things that we're good at.

  665. There are things that we're good at, and God did this on purpose.

  666. Listen, He is the beginning and the end.

  667. He knows the end from the beginning.

  668. He's Alpha Omega. He is all knowing, all seeing,

  669. all the time. And he has a plan for you in his

  670. church. So we need to know what our

  671. function is. Then the number one person asked

  672. about your function is God. You pray and you pray it out and

  673. you find out God. What would you have me put my

  674. hand do? What would you have me do?

  675. How can I bring honor? Our function will bring honor to

  676. God if if it's the right thing, because the most unsuccessful

  677. thing to be is successful in the wrong assignment, you know,

  678. because we can be successful in a lot of things.

  679. But if it is not what God has called you to do, it's the wrong

  680. thing. The rich young ruler Rich young

  681. ruler was very successful, had a lot of wealth.

  682. And he comes up to Jesus excited.

  683. Super excited. Like, hey, I'm so excited.

  684. I want to do what you're doing. I want to, I want to live for

  685. you. Jesus said, well, there's one

  686. thing you lack. It's like, what do you mean one

  687. thing I lack, I've done. I've done everything I've lived

  688. right my whole life. I've given to the poor.

  689. I've done this, I've done this, I've done this.

  690. I've checked all the boxes. Jesus, I'm ready.

  691. Put me in. Jesus said fine.

  692. So everything you own, give it to the poor and then follow me.

  693. The Bible says that he left troubled because he had many

  694. possessions, so he was deceived by thinking all the things that

  695. have been you know that I've acquired.

  696. Surely God's blessing is on my life.

  697. Surely? If I'm able to have all this

  698. stuff, surely God must be pleased with me.

  699. The Bible says he went off troubled because he had many

  700. possessions. You could have things.

  701. We're not against you having things.

  702. But you have to ask yourself, which has which?

  703. Do you have things or do things have you?

  704. Because there's the difference. Amen.

  705. I'm not go camp out there. That just came up, came out, and

  706. our function will always line up with our purpose.

  707. Your function will always line up with your purpose.

  708. I have a lot of tools. It's taken me years and years.

  709. I'm an electrician by trade. You know, Paul built tents.

  710. I'm an electrician. It's fine.

  711. Well, I have a lot of tools. Each one of those tools.

  712. My wife is. I've heard this for 20 years.

  713. Seriously. You buy another tool, usually

  714. comes up just like seriously, you buy another tool?

  715. What, $47 for a level? Why did you need a $47 level?

  716. Because it's a conduit bending level.

  717. It has a 30 degree bubble. It has a 45 degree bubble.

  718. It has a zero degree bubble. It is 4 bending condo and I

  719. needed it, you know. Come on, all the men should be

  720. like 1-2 three. Yes, because because you know

  721. tools have purposes. Well, we also, we also are a

  722. tool for God's Kingdom. We have a purpose.

  723. We have a function that level that costs $47.

  724. In my it was a torpedo level and I don't even think it's level

  725. straight now. It was like it didn't.

  726. It didn't last the test of time. Pray because I dropped it.

  727. But anyway, it had a function and you have a function.

  728. You know, I would have been ignorant of that function had I

  729. not taken a chance to read. There's a 30 degree bubble on

  730. it. I know that what that's for

  731. because I know how. I know how to bend conduit, so I

  732. know why that would be helpful. You have a function in God's

  733. Kingdom and the only way you can find out how your your purpose

  734. and your function can benefit God's Kingdom is to get in His

  735. word and find yourself in the word.

  736. Like Oh yeah, this is how God came through for this.

  737. This is how a person that that had those tendencies was able to

  738. be a blessing to God. This is Jesus. 12 itself.

  739. This is why that This is why Jesus kept this guy around,

  740. because, well, you know, I'm kind of good at things like

  741. that. You understand what I'm saying?

  742. You need to find out what your function is, how it can relate

  743. to your purpose so that you can be all that God's called you to

  744. be and advance the Kingdom. Because the Kingdom.

  745. Always advancing. Always.

  746. It's never looking back. It's always this.

  747. Never pausing, never taking a break.

  748. It's always advancing and He wants you to perform well in His

  749. Kingdom. Amen.

  750. And the number third, The third thing we said was performance.

  751. Now how well we perform in His Kingdom and His church will tell

  752. us how much honor we have for Him, I said.

  753. How much? How I said.

  754. How much we know or function? I said.

  755. My wife hates my do that, she said.

  756. Don't do that. I have the microphones.

  757. This thing, our performance is measurable.

  758. Your performance is measurable. Work on time, church on time,

  759. serving on time, reading your day or your Bible reading plan

  760. when it's due. Your These are areas that you

  761. can measure your performance. How well am I doing for the

  762. Kingdom of God? Do people constantly wait on me

  763. to show up when I'm scheduled to serve somewhere?

  764. Do do people this pastor have to?

  765. Do I have to say on my daily question like are you reading

  766. about when pastor asked me? Were you?

  767. Reading about well, I'm a couple days behind.

  768. Pastor, is this your? Usual response, or does it

  769. happen every now and then? I'm not saying it won't happen

  770. every now and then, because it will.

  771. Life happens. But catch back up.

  772. You need to see how you're performing.

  773. A Bible reading plan helps you measure that because if it's

  774. half empty and you know we're in December, like I'm not

  775. performing very well, my dad, that my daily Bible reading plan

  776. next year, I need to get this thing better.

  777. Because at that point, if you're in December and it's halfway,

  778. not field, just throw it away, start over.

  779. You're not going to make, you're not going to make it up.

  780. You're not going to shut down your life for the next three

  781. weeks and read the Bible because that's what it would take.

  782. Don't. Just don't focus on the past.

  783. It's OK. That's all right.

  784. I was. I was an OK Bible reader the

  785. last year. I'm going to be a better Bible

  786. reader this year. That's what you got to do.

  787. You got to be, you know, you got to be encouraged.

  788. Amen #4 we said was maintenance. There is a lot of value that we

  789. have to put on maintenance. This is an easy subject for me

  790. because I tend to be wired for maintenance.

  791. I'm wired. That way I can see something

  792. that needs fixed and the Lord will just give me a way to fix

  793. it. And if if I can't fix it, he's

  794. giving me people that can. You understand what I'm saying?

  795. Like you, This is why we need the church.

  796. It's why we need each other. We're never supposed to do this

  797. on our own. We're supposed to do this

  798. together. You know, when I if I get to a

  799. plumbing issue, I'm like, hey Bill, bro, I need you.

  800. I'm not going to tell his last name because all y'all be

  801. calling him for plumber. He can give you your number, his

  802. number, if he wants to. But we have to maintain our

  803. daily seeking, His first, daily seeking first the Kingdom will

  804. help us maintain. The reason it says seek first

  805. the Kingdom and all of its righteousness is because that's

  806. the number one thing we should be seeking.

  807. The number one thing we should be thinking about when we wake

  808. up, stumble through the house, turn the coffee pot on, but be

  809. thinking about how I can maintain my life in Christ.

  810. How can today be better than it was yesterday?

  811. Because this is how advancing happens.

  812. This is the point of advancing. You're always better.

  813. You're going to be better tomorrow.

  814. I'll be better tomorrow than I am today.

  815. I tell my kids this all the time.

  816. I'm going to be a better dad tomorrow than I was today.

  817. I forgot we were supposed to go to the pool.

  818. I forgot. I did say we're going to the

  819. pool. But you know what?

  820. Let's rain check. Let's do it.

  821. I'm gonna be. I'm so sorry.

  822. I'm gonna be a better dad tomorrow than I was today.

  823. You know, there's things that it will say, you know.

  824. We gotta be careful. We're not telling God to just

  825. what he wants to hear. Yeah, God, I'm gonna do this.

  826. Yeah, I'm gonna. Because that's what we we know

  827. he wants to hear. We just say no.

  828. This is my word. If your word is final, then my

  829. words gonna be final. And that's the best way I can

  830. make sure that God's playing and purposes come through in my life

  831. to maintain it. Failure to lose focus on any of

  832. these four things will hinder your ability to bring honor to

  833. God. If you fail to take focus on any

  834. of those four things we just mentioned, they were purpose,

  835. function, performance, and maintenance.

  836. We have to focus on all four of these things in order to

  837. successfully live in God's Kingdom.

  838. They all for flow like poetry. They all work together.

  839. They all are just like whenever they're like a well oiled

  840. machine. We have to honor God, focus God,

  841. read the Bible. We have to read the Bible.

  842. Because if we're not reading the Bible then we are going to have

  843. a hard time having faith in it. You can't let you can't have.

  844. You can't live a life in the Kingdom successfully on.

  845. I've heard that before mentality you have to keep it in you.

  846. You have to keep stirring yourself up, you know, I know

  847. some of it, like when I read through like some of the numbers

  848. and you know Deuteronomy, some of the this one, we got this

  849. one, we got this one and these sons on these nations and I'm

  850. like really? But I have to remind myself no

  851. God. You chose to pin it in there,

  852. and I know it's going to produce.

  853. I know I'm going to be able to grow from it, so I'm going to

  854. read through it. Don't read your Bible when

  855. you're sleepy. Don't.

  856. Especially if you're in some of the Old Testament stuff because

  857. it's going to put you to sleep. It shouldn't.

  858. We should. I mean, if we have to stand up

  859. and read our read our Bible. You wanna read at night?

  860. Stand up. Doing it.

  861. He's like mom. What's that not on your head?

  862. When I fell down last night because I was standing up, read

  863. my Bible, I fell asleep. I'm kidding.

  864. You should read the word every day.

  865. Isaiah chapter 53, say. Isaiah chapter 53, verse five

Isaiah 53 chapter mention Isaiah 53 chapter mention

  866. says he was pierced through for our transgressions.

  867. He was crushed for our iniquities.

  868. The Chast, the Chastening for our well-being fell upon him,

  869. and by his scourging we are healed.

  870. This is not just for salvation, This is for honor.

  871. Jesus made a choice to be pierced.

  872. He allowed them to Pierce his side because it was honoring his

  873. Heavenly Father the highest. Form of honor is obedience to

  874. His Word. It's the highest form of honor.

  875. If you want to live your life and say truthfully that you

  876. honor God, you need to be reading the Bible and doing what

  877. it says. That's not bondage.

  878. That's not rules. That's not law.

  879. That's life. That's freedom.

  880. Because the most freedom you'll ever have is knowing that you've

  881. done everything God asks you to do.

  882. That's what will get you a well done my good and faithful

  883. servant. Enter in.

  884. That's not the goal. I'm not trying to get to heaven

  885. one day. The goal is to live heaven while

  886. I'm here. The goal is to have everything

  887. that God says I can have right now.

  888. Because you know, that's a that's a that is a a deceiving

  889. lie of religion that we're going to live for Jesus now, so when

  890. we die, we get to heaven. Heaven is a byproduct of living

  891. a life in the Kingdom. Heaven is awesome.

  892. I'm not devaluing heaven, but that's not the main focus.

  893. Jesus said OK, when you pray, pray this way.

  894. Our fathers are in heaven. Your Kingdom come, your will be

  895. done on earth as it is in heaven.

  896. So when I'm praying, I'm not praying like Lord just take me

  897. on into heaven because it's, you know, Lord, I pray that when I

  898. get to heaven, you don't know I'm going to have heaven while

  899. I'm living right now. That's what the Kingdom does.

  900. The Kingdom brings religion and it takes religion out of the

  901. equation and it makes it into life.

  902. He's not about a religion, it's about a relationship.

  903. Amen. God did not want you to be

  904. successful in the religion called Christianity.

  905. He wanted you to be successful with your relationship with him

  906. in his Kingdom. That's the key.

  907. That's the goal, John chapter 19, verse 34.

    John 19:34

  908. John say. John chapter 19, verse 34 says.

    John 19:34

  909. But one of the soldiers pierced his side with the spear, and

  910. immediately blood and water came out.

  911. This piercing was honor being manifested through obedience,

  912. You understand? He allowed them to Pierce him,

  913. you say? Well, he was nailed to a cross.

  914. He had no choice. He had a choice.

  915. At any moment he could have come down off that cross.

  916. Make no mistake. Please don't buy the lie that it

  917. was. He was sad that he was up there.

  918. No, he was fulfilling his purpose in God's Kingdom of when

  919. he was up there. That was a choice he made, he

  920. told Pilot. He said, you know you don't.

  921. You've only been given to me. You've only been given power

  922. over me. What's been given by my Father

  923. in heaven. In other words, make no mistake.

  924. Your position of authority did not, did not allow you to put me

  925. in chains. My Father in Heaven allowed you

  926. to put me in chains. Amen.

  927. You got to get this because we we have a years and decades of

  928. religion that we have to get out of our mind.

  929. Jesus constantly said repent, repent, repent.

  930. The Kingdom of heaven is a hand. Repent.

  931. Change your thinking, that word. Repent literally means change

  932. your thing. So take away the old way of

  933. thinking and put on my way of thinking.

  934. Put on the Kingdom way of thinking.

  935. You have to look the Bible through the lens of the Kingdom

  936. of God. A living, breathing book.

  937. It's a book that is a Rama book. It's a it is a book that was

  938. breathed by God. It's full of life, and

  939. everything that it produces is life.

  940. If you want life, get in the word if you want.

  941. Freedom, the Word, is the only place it's found.

  942. I mean God Bless America and the NRA.

  943. But the Word of God is the only place the the Word of God is the

  944. only place they'll edit this out.

  945. I'm sure the the Word of God is the only place.

  946. The Word of God is the only place that true freedom can be

  947. found. That's it.

  948. There's no other place, Ephesians say Ephesians chapter

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  949. 4, verse 2422 through 24. We're gonna read a few here that

  950. you put off concerning your former conduct, the old man

  951. which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lust, and be

  952. renewed in the spirit of your mind and that you.

  953. Put on the Newman which was, which was created according to

  954. God in true righteousness and holiness.

  955. It's the only it's only this kind of lifestyle that brings

  956. honor to God and His Kingdom. It is only this kind of living.

  957. We have to put off that old person.

  958. Well, I always do this well. I.

  959. Well, my dad did this well. My grandmother.

  960. It's just something we do in our family.

  961. No, that's a lie. I'm a new man in Christ Jesus.

  962. They said, behold, all things that were all were passed away

  963. and all things are made new. So the minute I became in Christ

  964. Jesus, I am brand new. From that point I started my

  965. life in His Kingdom. Everything that was behind that

  966. is irrelevant. It doesn't matter.

  967. It's of little importance. Some things can be used as a

  968. testimony, but not a place to camp at.

  969. You understand? I'm not going to camp.

  970. And the way I used to live, I'm gonna say no, thank God you

  971. delivered me from the way I used to live.

  972. I don't have to be that person anymore.

  973. You know, I'm a I have freedom in Christ.

  974. We're going to keep reading, but we're going to read this next

  975. section, same chapter in the in the Passion translation.

  976. So if he is chapter 4, we're going to read verses 25 through

    Isaiah 4 chapter mention

  977. 27. And the Passion says so.

  978. Discard every form of dishonesty, dishonesty, and

  979. lying so that you will be known as one who always speaks the

  980. truth, for we all belong to one another.

  981. But don't let the passion of your emotions lead you to sin.

  982. Don't let anger control you or be fuel for revenge, Not for

  983. even a day. Verse 27 Don't give the

  984. slanderous accuser that is the devil an opportunity to

  985. manipulate you. If you're honoring God, then you

  986. will not be dishonest. If you're if you're honoring

  987. God, you're not going to be dishonest.

  988. If you live a life of honor, you you will live an honest life.

  989. Look to the word. Look the word dishonest.

  990. It's completely the opposite of honor.

  991. Look at it. Dishonest.

  992. Is it up there? Where's it at?

  993. Yeah, Dishonesty. It's got the word honor mixed in

  994. there. So if you're living dishonestly,

  995. you cannot live honorably. You see that?

  996. You cannot live both a dishonest life and a life that honors God.

  997. You can't. It can't happen.

  998. Colossians say. Colossians chapter 3, verses two

    Colossians 3 chapter mention

  999. and four, two through 4, says yes.

1000. Feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your

1001. thoughts with heavenly realities and not with the distractions of

1002. the natural realm. Your crucifixion with Christ has

1003. severed the tide of this life, and now your true life is hidden

1004. away in God, in Christ, verse four.

1005. And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you

1006. really are will also be revealed.

1007. For you know for you are now one with him in his glory.

1008. The choice Christ made to be pierced severed the tide of this

1009. life, and we're in Christ. If Christ's flesh had to be

1010. crucified, then so does ours. We cannot live successfully in

1011. God's Kingdom without crucifying the flesh.

1012. The flesh constantly sets its desires on itself.

1013. The Spirit constantly sets its desires on others.

1014. So if you. Live a life consumed with you.

1015. You're going to miss what God wants to do through you and and

1016. you're not going to be a blessing to His Kingdom.

1017. Amen. Our choice to honor God will

1018. keep our flesh pierced and our lives in Christ Jesus.

1019. You know, I don't know where I can move on the cameras.

1020. Our lives should honor God. Everything about our lives,

1021. everything about our existence, should bring honor to Him.

1022. If we're living our life according to His word, then

1023. we're going to do that if we are obeying what we read.

1024. Because remember, obedience is the key.

1025. If you want to honor God, obey the word.

1026. If you want to honor God, obey the you know.

1027. Do the things you've been called to do.

1028. If you don't know what they are, find it.

1029. Get in the word. Honor is something that has been

1030. fading out of society. When I was young, I remember my

1031. grandparents would tell me, you know, give me certain

1032. instructions. And now, looking back, I would

1033. realize it's for honor. One of them, that's a little old

1034. school. One of them was you're praying,

1035. take your hat off. Now listen, God doesn't care if

  1036. your hat's on. OK?

1037. But that was a form of honor, OK?

1038. God does care if you honor him. So that was some honor.

1039. She would say, you know, make sure you use your manners.

1040. Make sure you say thank you. Make sure you say, you know

1041. you're welcome. You know, do these, these are

1042. kind things. And these are things that we

1043. train our children because we want them to have honor It's all

1044. form of honor but it's we're losing it as society goes on.

1045. Now that's not know you know Jesus said be of good cheer.

1046. I've overcome the world so it's not like well fine then we're

1047. just going to be a dishonorable group.

1048. No, the IT the buck stops here at choose that we choose to

1049. honor God and we choose to bring those things that are God that

1050. has godly character and make it come to pass.

1051. Our phones sometimes can be tools of dishonor and it's

  1052. nothing. You know what?

1053. Please. I told you I was I was gonna

1054. kill some sacred cows today and as they were like cell phones

1055. going to their pocket. No, I'm just kidding.

  1056. I have a phone. I leave a phone.

1057. We all use their phones or phones are very useful tool.

1058. OK, please don't get me wrong. They're a very useful tool.

1059. However, they can also be very, very distracting.

1060. So it's not popular because everyone has a phone.

1061. Everyone has a phone. This is the society we live in.

1062. When I was a kid, you know, in order to see certain things, I

1063. had to like, go behind a counter when the cash register person

1064. wasn't looking and tear a brown piece of paper off a magazine.

1065. That's the only way I could ever be exposed to something like

1066. that. Now it's free on every

1067. electronic device. So we have to make a choice to

1068. crucify our flesh. We have to make a choice to let

1069. God empower it. He wants to empower you and

1070. equip you, You know, don't be afraid.

1071. Oh, my gosh. I'm gonna have to turn my phone

1072. off. My kids got a phone with.

1073. No. Teach them the right way.

1074. You don't have to teach them, you know, Working in a bank.

  1075. Whenever you're working in a bank.

1076. My motherinlaw. Who's right here?

1077. Give a shout out Kim. Yep.

  1078. She's the mother. She's.

1079. I call her the motherinlaw, because if you don't want to

1080. have a Good Wife, is there going to be a motherinlaw?

1081. There's just nothing you can do about it.

1082. So we love so we so we love her. So we love her.

1083. Well, so I brought her up. I brought her up because she

1084. used to work in a bank. She used to do.

1085. She's very well versed in banking and numbers, and

1086. whenever you work at a bank, you are.

1087. Taught money, not by counterfeit money.

1088. You understand because there are counterfeit money that comes in

1089. that looks really similar. The best thing they use to teach

1090. you about counterfeit money is actual real money.

1091. They don't bring Monopoly money in.

1092. Now say now, Kim, if you ever get a person wanting to, you

1093. know, put this $500 Monopoly money in there, we can't accept

1094. this. It's not currency for us.

1095. You know, they give her a real $100 bill, Kim.

1096. This is the United States. These are the markings that you

1097. have that lets us know it is not counterfeit, it is real.

1098. So we they we have to find out the what is the truth?

1099. Because the Word of God is the only real thing that exists in

1100. the planet. It existed before the planet got

1101. here. John won one in the beginning

1102. was the Word. The Word was God.

1103. The Word was with God. Then the Word became flesh.

1104. So before the earth came was the word says heaven and earth shall

1105. pass away, but my word lasts forever when the earth.

1106. Passes away, the word will remain.

1107. It is the only true factual evidence that we have of all

1108. life in Christ. It's the only thing that leads

1109. us to life. It's the only thing that leads

1110. us to victory. It's the only thing that leads

1111. us to healing. It's the only thing that leads

1112. us to provision. It's the only thing that leads

1113. us to walking in love with our brother.

1114. Because look around you. There's a lot of different kinds

1115. of people in here. Look around.

1116. You have my permission. Look around at everybody.

1117. Look around. There's a lot of different kinds

1118. of people in here. Some.

1119. Of them are easy to love, some of them are not.

1120. I said, I know some of you. I'm like, I'm looking at

1121. everyone. Some of you are not easy to

1122. love. But God can give us.

1123. God can give us the ability to love everyone.

1124. Because it's been his love, His love has been shed abroad in my

1125. heart. His love empowers me to love

1126. each one of you with the God kind of love.

1127. Amen. It's the Kingdom of God, and it

1128. will not be shaken. It's the Kingdom of God that

1129. will remain forever. You have to Pierce your flesh.

1130. Every day when you wake up because you're not going to want

1131. to read, you're not going to want to come to church, you're

1132. not going to want to get up early and come to prayer.

1133. Which is at 6:00 AM on Wednesday mornings, 6:00 AM.

1134. This house is open every single week for prayer. 6:00 AM to 7:00

1135. we pray for one hour, Jesus said.

1136. You know, can you not pray for me for at least one hour?

1137. So we at least do one hour. Now these this is vision

1138. partners. If you're a vision partner Bank

1139. of a church, this is the house is open for you to pray in now.

1140. You should be praying other times also.

1141. You can. You don't have to wait till

1142. Wednesday morning to pray. You can pray often, Paul said.

1143. I pray without ceasing, so he prayed all the time.

1144. How can how can the Holy Spirit accurately say?

1145. He said I pray in the Spirit more than you all.

1146. Well, how do you know that? Because he lived a lifestyle of

1147. praying in the Spirit. He lived a lifestyle of being

1148. led by the Spirit that he was constantly dwelling on the

1149. interest of his father. He was constantly seeking God

1150. and everything he did. He was constantly about my

1151. father's business. This is the church that he's

1152. coming back for, the church that he's the head of, is the church

1153. that seeks him and everything that they do.

1154. The church that he's coming after is a church that has faith

1155. in what he said. Applies what he said, does what

1156. he said, maintains themselves in what he said, and they have

1157. victory in everything that they do in Jesus name.
