  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Say the greatest.

  4. Come on, say the greatest. Turn over to Matthew chapter 20.

    Matthew 20 chapter mention

  5. We'll start in verse 20. Amen.

  6. And I'm going to talk to you about the greatest today.

  7. It says this. And the mother of Zebedee's sons

  8. came and came to him. That's Jesus with her sons

  9. kneeling down, asking something from him.

  10. And he said to her, what do you wish?

  11. And she said to him, grant that these two sons of mine may sit

  12. one on your right hand and one on your left hand in your

  13. Kingdom. But Jesus answer says you do not

  14. know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup

  15. that I'm about to drink and be baptized with the baptism that

  16. I'm about to be baptized with? And they said to him, we are

  17. able. You know you're always able

  18. before the problem shows up, he said to them, though you will

  19. indeed drink my cup and be baptized with the baptism that

  20. I'm baptized with, but to sit on my right hand and on my left is

  21. not mine to give, but it is for those.

  22. For whom it is prepared? By my Father.

  23. Jesus doesn't even tell you where you go.

  24. That's up to the Father. When it comes to Kingdom

  25. assignments. Are you hearing me?

  26. And when the 10 heard it, they were greatly displeased with the

  27. two brothers. So again, when they heard about

  28. one wanting to be on the right and one on the left, the other

  29. ten got what they were displayed.

  30. In essence, a little jealous. Competition among the 12.

  31. Are you hearing me? I want to be the guy.

  32. I want to be the guy. I want to be the guy.

  33. You know it's still in the church today, but Jesus called

  34. to himself and said, you know that the rulers of the Gentiles

  35. lorded over them, and those who are who are great exercise

  36. authority over them. Yet it shall not say, shall not

  37. be so among you. But whoever desires to become

  38. great, say great. Notice Jesus didn't rebuke

  39. greatness. He didn't rebuke it.

  40. He didn't rebuke the desire to be great.

  41. So there's nothing wrong with wanting to be great.

  42. But if you want to be great in the Kingdom, you got to do it

  43. Kingdom way in fact. We could almost say that Jesus

  44. is encouraging you to be great. He's saying I've quit looking at

  45. the world's example. It's the wrong way to be great

  46. in the Kingdom. There's another way.

  47. I said in the Kingdom, there's another way, right?

  48. He said it's not going to be this way among you.

  49. But whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your

  50. servant. And whoever desires to be first

  51. among you, which he had no problem with, somebody wanted to

  52. be first. Let him be your slave, just as

  53. the Son of Man did not come to serve but or to be served, but

  54. to serve and to give his life a ransom for many.

  55. Now let's look at a Luke chapter 22 account.

    Luke 22 chapter mention

  56. Luke 22 account. Amen.

  57. Hallelujah. Now again, if I was preaching on

  58. joy right now. See what I'm saying?

  59. See, this is really important to me because, again, we shouldn't

  60. be prompted through a particular line of scripture to have a

  61. response. When the word resonates as

  62. truth, we should have a response.

  63. Amen. Hallelujah.

  64. Are you hearing what I'm saying? So it's very important, man.

  65. Every truth when you're when you begin to see it, that should

  66. prompt the Amen out of you. A Hallelujah.

  67. It could get you to laugh for a moment.

  68. I mean, you can receive that with joy, because not everyone

  69. who receives something with joy lasts.

  70. In fact, the very first seed sown is received with joy.

  71. But when the trouble comes, it dies.

  72. I said it dies. Joy has this place.

  73. But joy is not the only expression of the spirit, I said

  74. It's not the only expression. It needs to be an expression.

  75. You should be happy person. We shouldn't be depressed.

  76. I mean, depression should not be associated with us, not when you

  77. have the greater one on the inside.

  78. But joy is one of the fruits of the spirit.

  79. There are others. That we should eat just as much

  80. tap into. In fact, the Kingdom of God is

  81. righteousness, peace. And I believe it's a

  82. progression. Yeah, that's right.

  83. You're not going to be able to have joy in the Holy Ghost if

  84. you're not righteous. And righteousness will produce

  85. peace and peace will cause you to have joy.

  86. So you can you can fake laughter.

  87. You can fake laughter. I'm not going to say fake joy,

  88. because the joy of the Lord is a supernatural gift.

  89. You can pretend you're happy. It could look like you're full

  90. of joy. But we'll know if you're really

  91. happy when the problem comes. Amen.

  92. All right. So again, when something starts

  93. to resonate, man, you should have some kind of response,

  94. right? We are not a quiet church,

  95. right? We are responsive church because

  96. our spirit man is connected to the word we're preaching.

  97. Amen. Praise the Lord And look,

  98. chapter 22 verses 24 to 30th says there arose also a dispute

  99. among them as to which one of them was regarded to be

  100. greatest. And he said to them, the kings

  101. of the Gentiles lorded over them, and those who have

  102. authority over them are called benefactors.

  103. But it is not this way with you. But the one, say, the one who is

  104. the greatest among you must become say must.

  105. This isn't optional. Let's put it this way.

  106. You can't become great greatest unless you're doing this.

  107. So who is the greatest among you?

  108. Must become like the youngest, and the leader, like the

  109. servant, must become I said, must become verse 27.

  110. For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table, or the

  111. one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines

  112. at the table? But I am among you as the one

  113. who serves. You are those who have stood by

  114. me and my trials. And just as my father has

  115. granted me a Kingdom, I grant you that you may eat and drink

  116. at my table in my Kingdom, and you will sit on Thrones judging

  117. the 12 tribes of Israel. Why?

  118. Because they served with Jesus. Which brings this thought to be

  119. Do not abdicate your greatness. Do not abdicate your greatness.

  120. Do not advocate your greatness. How?

  121. Because you want to be served. Because you want to be served.

  122. Because you want to be served. There are many pastors that they

  123. seem great. Because of their entourage, they

  124. seem great. They got their armor bears.

  125. Y'all ain't talking to me. It's cause some of y'all ain't

  126. never been associated with those churches before us.

  127. You don't even know what we're talking about.

  128. They got their armor bears. They got their whole entourage

  129. with them. You know, they opening their

  130. doors, they're doing all this stuff, you know, and it acts

  131. like and and again, I understand there is an honoring of the man

  132. of God and you should honor the man of God or the woman of God

  133. for that matter. There should be honor, but if

  134. you are the man of God and the woman of God being honored.

  135. You should find yourself out serving your armor bearer.

  136. You should be like I got the door today.

  137. Gentlemen, come on in. Are you hearing me?

  138. I'm telling you right now, many people are abdicating their

  139. greatness because all of a sudden people want to serve

  140. them. And they forfeit serving.

  141. They stop. They quit.

  142. They've arrived somewhere in the church or among the church body.

  143. Are you hearing me? No.

  144. You want to be finding out ways you can serve?

  145. You want to be in a serving capacity?

  146. You want to make sure you are putting your hand to something?

  147. OK, let me just give you a case in point right now.

  148. Who is the server? I am.

  149. Thank you for a few that figured that out.

  150. Right now, I'm serving you. I'm serving you the word.

  151. Now. You could be like, well, pastor.

  152. You're the pastor. You're the lead.

  153. I'm the lead only because I'm serving you.

  154. What the Lord wants me to say to you so that you can then do me a

  155. doer of that word and continue to rise.

  156. So I put down my flesh. I don't say, well, we just got

  157. back. You know, we're not even going

  158. to come in tonight. Today.

  159. Are you hearing me? We're serving you.

  160. I put my own mic on this morning.

  161. Yeah. I mean sometimes they show up,

  162. sometimes they're doing something else and I don't go,

  163. hey, you need to get in my office and get my mic on cause

  164. I'm well able to put a thing on myself.

  165. Are you hearing me? I mean sometimes it's

  166. challenging but at at the end of the day we do what we got to do

  167. because it cause it's not about me coming into a place or you

  168. shouldn't cause here's the thing if you're coming and always just

  169. hearing me. All you do is hear me.

  170. You show up and the parking lot serves you.

  171. Then the greeters open the door and serve you.

  172. Then the cafe serves you. Then the children's ministry

  173. serves you. Then the ushers serve you.

  174. Then I serve you. You abdicate your greatness

  175. because we are supposed to all be serving in some capacity.

  176. Because serving releases our greatness.

  177. Or you hear me, because one of the greatest challenges of

  178. believers today is being faithful in serving.

  179. We've really kind of adopted the American mindset.

  180. You know, the American mindset is work to retirement, then you

  181. don't retire and everybody serves you.

  182. Basically, I get to do what I want when I want to when I want.

  183. I don't have to answer to anybody.

  184. It's like it's in the church. We come and serve in a few areas

  185. for a while and then all of a sudden we retire and we talk

  186. about when we did it. And now so and so with, I'm

  187. telling you there's plenty of room for everybody in this room

  188. to do something, I said. To do something, to serve.

  189. Now again, maybe you're not serving any service, but there

  190. are opportunities. When you look at the vision that

  191. we have as a ministry that you couldn't find yourself, how can

  192. I serve in that area or do that? I mean, I understand sometimes

  193. you're you're you're outside the church, you know, work may have

  194. some kind of crazy schedule that will be very difficult for us to

  195. technically pin you down on a schedule.

  196. But that doesn't mean there's not an opportunity like man, I

  197. can serve there, I can do that. They got this project happening

  198. I'm going to. Come and do that, and you're

  199. always looking for this opportunity because again, you

  200. don't want to release your greatness in the Kingdom of God.

  201. You don't want to find yourself only coming and being served

  202. now. Paul understood this.

  203. In Philippians chapter 3, verse 12, he says, not that I've

    Philippians 3:12

  204. already obtained it or I've already become perfect, but I

  205. press on so that I may lay hold of that which I was also laid

  206. hold of by Christ. This is Philippians 312.

  207. In essence, I was doing something and God apprehended

  208. me. So he laid hold of me.

  209. I'm trying to lay hold of that which I have been laid hold of

  210. by Christ. Christ says this is your gift,

  211. this is your purpose, this is how you are to serve the body.

  212. And he goes, I'm trying to lay hold of that.

  213. The Passion says it this way. I admit that I haven't yet

  214. acquired the absolute fullness that I'm pursuing, but I run

  215. with passion into His abundance so that I may reach the purpose

  216. that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to

  217. discover. And every one of us has this

  218. opportunity. Why do we know this?

  219. First Peter, chapter 4, verse 10.

    1 Peter 4:10

  220. Just to remind you he said this as each one say Each one say

  221. that's me has received a special gift or a gift employ it.

  222. What employ that means Put it to work.

  223. Again, if you're not using the gift that you have, then by all

  224. rights you are burying it. You say, well, where's it buried

  225. at? In the dirt.

  226. What dirt did you bury it in inside?

  227. You remember you were made out of the dust of the your dirt.

  228. So the the gift is buried in you because you're not letting it

  229. out. You're not employing it, you're

  230. not serving it. You're not allowing it to serve

  231. others. The gift was never for you.

  232. Because again, I gifted. I mean, I guess most people

  233. today, especially maybe some believers, definitely not in our

  234. church. Because again, I I want to

  235. separate us from congregations that are not.

  236. I realize these are challenges even in our own house, but we

  237. push this from the word very specifically.

  238. Again, I'm not of the person who buys myself.

  239. Myself. Gifts.

  240. Well, I'm just going to buy that for myself and I'm going to buy

  241. that for myself and I'm going to buy that for myself.

  242. Somebody's birthday comes around, but when it's my

  243. birthday, I buy for myself. I'm always buying myself gifts

  244. and nobody else. No gifts were designed to be to

  245. be given. So again, Jesus.

  246. Or the spirit of God has given you a gift to employ it.

  247. How? In serving one another, not in

  248. serving yourself. The gift is not for you.

  249. The gift is for others. And your gift will may room for

  250. you if you will be willing to serve your gift.

  251. I said, if you're willing to serve your gift, see, This is

  252. why when Pastor Marsh and I go anywhere to minister, it is the

  253. most challenging thing for me to do.

  254. Because I have this wealth on the inside of me of messages

  255. that we have. Mind out, revelation, line upon

  256. line, precept upon, precept here.

  257. But then you go to a particular church and you may only get one

  258. service. Maybe you'll get a few and

  259. you're like, out of everything you've taught me, what do I say

  260. to this group and how far can I even say it?

  261. How deep can I even talk? How far can we go?

  262. Well, a lot of times I figure it out based upon their draw.

  263. This is why I enjoy the Global Leadership Conference prior to

  264. camp meeting because there's so many people from different, you

  265. know. So we kind of categorize it as

  266. camps, you know, different hubs of people and how they kind of,

  267. you know, function within the body.

  268. You know, sometimes you kind of got this like prophetic camp and

  269. they just kind of want to focus on the prophetic, right.

  270. And they're kind of like, you know, geared that way.

  271. Then you get another one, You know, they kind of focus in

  272. another Ave. like the moves of the spirit, right.

  273. And so there's some function there.

  274. They do. You know what?

  275. How do we function? We function based upon the

  276. purity of the word. At the end of the day, we want

  277. the word to be pure. Slightly divided and whatever

  278. happens happens, OK. But if you get around certain

  279. camps, then certain things just happen.

  280. Now when I say happen, I'm not saying it's always a move of

  281. God. I'm just saying it's prone to go

  282. that way because they're kind of known for that.

  283. But we'll get in a room, man, and we can begin to discuss

  284. things. And you get iron, sharpening

  285. iron and different things. You're like cross pollinating on

  286. things, right? But then all of a sudden,

  287. because they're not used to you, they're used to theirs, you

  288. start to minister under the anointing and all of a sudden

  289. they'll start pulling on it. They'll get into that.

  290. I ain't never heard it like that before because they're not

  291. accustomed to that type of ministry.

  292. Same thing. I get up underneath others that,

  293. you know, you just don't hear it as often and you kind of start

  294. pulling because you're like, OK, I'll pull on that.

  295. I don't always hear that, so let me pull on that.

  296. Now for me, when I pull on, I'm like, you're gonna have to make

  297. the word test. Because if you don't make the

  298. word test, you know, I mean, I I'll pull your stuff and throw

  299. it to the ground pretty quick. You know, I'm pulling.

  300. Nope, I'm pulling junk. I'm pulling junk.

  301. Oh, that's good. I'll keep that.

  302. Give me another thing. You understand what I'm saying?

  303. And you all should do this pull on things, right?

  304. Because the gift can be there. And there can be some really

  305. Holy Ghost things that take place, even though you're not

  306. familiar with something per se, but if it doesn't line up with

  307. the words, you Kick It Out every time we Kick It Out, period.

  308. But Paul is saying here that, look, he said I'm trying to

  309. obtain this thing. I was, I became a part of him.

  310. Peter says, look, all of us have this gift.

  311. We are to employ it to serve one another as good stewards of the

  312. manifold grace of God. The manifold grace of God.

  313. So God has all graced us with a gift.

  314. Do you believe that? Well, let's see, Paul says in an

  315. Ephesians chapter 4, verse 7 to 8.

    Ephesians 4:7–8

  316. He says this, but to each one of us, grace was given to each one

  317. of us, say that's me. So all of us have grace

  318. according to the measure of Christ's gift.

  319. In essence, the head of the church says this aspect of me.

  320. I give this to you, I give this to you.

  321. I pull this part of me and give it to you.

  322. I pull this part of me and give it to you.

  323. I pull this part of me and I give it to you so that when all

  324. of us are working together, guess what?

  325. We all look like Jesus. When I was ministering to the

  326. youth, I was talking to them about the power of the tongue,

  327. and I told them their tongue needs to be set up ablaze by the

  328. spirit. They need to have, like on the

  329. day of Pentacles, tongues of fire, you know, And the problem

  330. is most of their tongues are set up on the the flame of hell.

  331. They taught their carnality, their flesh, all kinds of stuff.

  332. You know, they bless God on on a service and then they run off at

  333. the mouth on their social media and that like the world.

  334. And I said, it shouldn't be like that.

  335. You need to keep your mouth connected.

  336. But one way to help keep your mouth from running off is

  337. praying in the Spirit. And so at that point, you know,

  338. we need to people need to get filled with the Holy Ghost, get

  339. baptized in the Spirit. Well, when that takes place, you

  340. understand. And I have people.

  341. I'm like, you know what? I'm not the only one grace with

  342. this. In fact, Pastor Angie, she has a

  343. very specific anointing to lay hands on people, to receive the

  344. baptism, the Holy Spirit, whateverness to speak in the

  345. tongues. So I called her out first.

  346. And so she came to start laying hands.

  347. But then I realized, man, if I wait on her to get around all

  348. these people, but we're gonna be here all night.

  349. You know, I got plenty that are praying in the spirit.

  350. Not everybody is just getting it because it was in the room.

  351. You can just receive it by faith.

  352. Do you understand that? I mean, the power of God was in

  353. the room. Youth could have just began to

  354. release it. But many of them do, you know,

  355. just based upon their middle capacity.

  356. They just didn't do that. So then I started calling on

  357. more call Pastor Craig. Pastor Denise.

  358. I started calling Pastor Zach. I just started calling multiple

  359. speakers and they just started flooding, laying hands and

  360. people getting filled with the Holy Ghost.

  361. Kids getting filled with the really goes, in fact, Pastor

  362. Denise says, you know, usually when I lay hands on people, she

  363. must be much like Pastor Angie that the minute she lays hands

  364. on, they receive, she's laid hands on one received.

  365. I lay hands on one girl she received and then she said laid

  366. hand on. She wasn't getting it, she

  367. wasn't getting it, she wasn't getting it.

  368. So I just stepped back and I said, are you born again?

  369. And they said no, She said, well, that's why you can't get

  370. it. So let's get you born again.

  371. So they got born. She were let her to be born

  372. again, then laid hands on and immediately she spoke in other

  373. tongues. Hallelujah.

  374. Hallelujah. But it's because of a grace.

  375. We all can lay hands on people to be healed.

  376. We can lay hands through the laying on a hands for people to

  377. receive the baptism. Although some can have a little

  378. bit based upon the grace on their life, it becomes a little

  379. bit easier. Things do function with the

  380. fivefold ministry, a little bit different than the Saints.

  381. But we each have a gift and the gift was always designed to be

  382. employed to serve somebody else. Amen.

  383. And I just want us as Anchor Faith Church because man, you

  384. know Pastor Marcy's message on Sunday just continue to light a

  385. fire in me about the maturing of the church.

  386. I know the the number one thing that we have to do is maintain

  387. our culture. And our culture is not our own.

  388. It's the kingdom's culture. So you got to get rid of your

  389. thinking, your way of living, your way of doing.

  390. Your idea of church. Church and how we do it is

  391. supposed to be God's idea, not ours.

  392. We're not going to make God do church our way.

  393. Cause make no mistake about if you read the Book of Revelation,

  394. Jesus Christ himself will show up at the church and let him

  395. know what's good about it and what do they need to fix, what

  396. they need to fix. And he wants us to fix, because

  397. if you don't fix what needs to be fixed, he has a warning.

  398. I'll pull your lamp. I'll pull your lamp.

  399. Now there's two ways to pull a lamp.

  400. One is the pull revelation because at the end of the day

  401. you're not following him anyway and the pastor can stay in the

  402. pulpit and become a fair see then and there becomes no more

  403. revelation in the church and ultimately they're just the

  404. Galatians chapter 3 church, that they're doing it by the flesh

    Galatians 3 chapter mention

  405. and not by the Spirit. But there's a second way.

  406. You can pull the lamp. They can pull the pastor.

  407. The pastor can be pulled from the congregation and assigned to

  408. another that's hungry cause the flock is the Lord's and the

  409. sheep can't make a demand on the overseer if they're not hungry

  410. and growing. Some ministers have left

  411. congregations not because they couldn't grow the church is

  412. because the church decided they didn't want to grow.

  413. They decided they were familiar with the man or woman of God,

  414. and that the words that they heard, these vocal cords that

  415. they keep hearing week in and week out, all of a sudden they

  416. didn't value it anymore. And so they began to live their

  417. own life. And basically they became the

  418. Gentile rulers that say you serve us, made a demand that we

  419. had to serve because I'm not going to do nothing.

  420. That's your job. You're paid to do that.

  421. You're the pastor. Well, there's many congregations

  422. like that. And I feel for those pastors,

  423. well, you're paid to do that, not me.

  424. Oh, OK. So basically they turn the

  425. church into a corporate model, and it becomes a bunch of

  426. freeloaders. Go ahead and look at your name

  427. and say I'm not a freeloader just because salvation is free

  428. in the in the in the idea that you don't personally pay for it,

  429. you receive it. It still costs Jesus everything,

  430. and that doesn't entitle us to be freeloaders.

  431. What else is mine that God gave me as free?

  432. I'll just take us free because I'm a freeloader.

  433. I just load me and never serve. Amen.

  434. And the reason why some congregations are not more

  435. influential in their communities because God can't raise up the

  436. whole church because he's he's trying to raise up a greatness

  437. church. A church that's has that is the

  438. greatest because of how well they serve.

  439. I love it when different sectors of society start calling anchor

  440. Faith Church because we're developing the reputation of

  441. those who serve. And if we develop a reputation

  442. for those who serve, then really what we are is God saying, I'm

  443. going to let you lead your community.

  444. Amen. I'm going to let you lead your

  445. community. All right, So he said.

  446. But each one of us, grace was given accord to the measure of

  447. Christ's gifts. Therefore it is said when he

  448. ascended all high, he like captive, captive, a host of

  449. captive. He gave gifts to man.

  450. So every one of us have a gift. Everybody in here has a gift to

  451. employ serving your number one thought process.

  452. If you are truly a Matthew 633 person, seek first the Kingdom.

  453. If you're seeking first the Kingdom, then the church has to

  454. be the number. One thing on your mind has to be

  455. because the head of the Kingdom, the King of the domain.

  456. If you're seeking first the Kingdom and his righteousness,

  457. then the king who's Jesus is communicating to us through the

  458. church, and the church is the most important thing to Jesus

  459. because when he returns, he's coming back for the Church and

  460. the latter reign. The former reign was it poured

  461. out for the lost? No, it was poured out to the

  462. Saints. The believers received the

  463. baptism of the Holy Ghost, but because they got the initial

  464. outpouring, it was such a display, so much so they had to

  465. explain what was going on. He never seen anything like this

  466. before that. Then Peter under that anointing

  467. cause, power came upon him which authorized him to now witness.

  468. If you're witnessing without the power of the Holy Spirit, you're

  469. not actually authorized. Don't think just because

  470. someone's changed with the words you say, you're authorized.

  471. Cause the word changes people. Period.

  472. Jesus said this about the Pharisees who were unauthorized.

  473. He said do what they say, just don't do what they do.

  474. Cause they don't even do the words they're talking.

  475. But the words life. Now, are you hearing me?

  476. So there's a lot of people were born again witnessing, but

  477. they're not witnessing as God intended.

  478. And that was under the power of the Holy Ghost.

  479. And when the power of the Holy Ghost comes upon you, you will

  480. speak in an unknown tongue, which is just the language of

  481. the Kingdom. No problem here.

  482. But that power now authorizes you to be able to speak on

  483. behalf of the King. And then miracle signs and

  484. wonders will follow your preaching.

  485. Demonstrations will follow you. Now again, don't confine the

  486. miraculous to one person. And this is where the

  487. shortcoming of the Church has come into play.

  488. In fact, Kennethy Hagan had a prophecy.

  489. He spoke, or he was explaining some things in a particular

  490. meeting. He said that the Lord spoke to

  491. him. He said.

  492. Now the healing revivals were just an eyewitness of what the

  493. church possessed. But the church missed it because

  494. they focused on the men and women God was using to show the

  495. demonstration instead of accepting.

  496. I can do that. And so it was store.

  497. So the so two things shut down the Healing revival.

  498. One was finance because so many people came to get healed and

  499. then offerings and then people showed up just to get the

  500. offerings. That was one.

  501. The second one was that the body missed it.

  502. They put their attention on the people instead of on the power

  503. that they could possess. As a believer, this is what I

  504. loved about Pastorati at camp meeting when he had this

  505. expression that we're going to lay hands okay in this and what

  506. he was doing, he ended up pulling up all kind of people.

  507. Now that doesn't mean one person can cause Pastor Marcy

  508. definitely lay hands on a lot of people.

  509. And again when I say that that was an authentic move because

  510. she had no one that would have known her come to her and you

  511. know was coming to her because of this massive anointing on her

  512. life. Although do we know there's an

  513. anointing on her life? But what Roddy was doing was

  514. because camp meeting has always had that expression of what

  515. Pastor Roddy was doing. It is the run, the shout, the

  516. laughing. And he was trying to deflect it

  517. from him and putting it back on. That really can't because then

  518. he says now pastors, he just did a general call.

  519. If you you know you got what you if you've been touched and you

  520. got now go hit, do somebody. What was he trying to do?

  521. Everybody has this ability to serve themselves.

  522. Goes up and do this thing. OK, so again, the things we

  523. teach are not exclusive. There are many things we can all

  524. function in. But if you want it to function

  525. well in your life, you have to actually keep it connected to

  526. the church and serve it and serve it.

  527. How do we know this? First Corinthians 4/1 says this.

  528. Let a man regard us in this manner as servants of Christ and

  529. stewards of the mysteries of God.

  530. Paul's writing this OK. He said he's giving gifts to

  531. men. Now he's begin to talk about his

  532. particular gift. Now he says, look in regards to

  533. us, if you're going to be talking about us, see us as

  534. servants of Christ. Then he jumps down to verse 9.

  535. Now I'm gonna read verse nine. Out of the passion, we'll go to

  536. verse 13. Look how he describes his gift

  537. and his gift. He was called to be an apostle.

  538. He says this. It seems to me that God has

  539. appointed us apostles to be at the end of the line.

  540. We are like those on to display at the end of the procession as

  541. doom gladiators soon to be killed.

  542. We have become theatrical spectacle.

  543. A theatrical, theatrical spectacle to all creation, both

  544. to people and to angels. We are fools for Christ, but you

  545. are wise in Christ. We are the frail.

  546. You are the powerful. You are celebrated.

  547. We are humiliated. If you could see us now, you'd

  548. find that we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed,

  549. brutally treated, and with no roof over our heads.

  550. We work hard, tolling with our own hands.

  551. When people abuse and insult us, we respond with a blessing, and

  552. when severely persecuted, we endure it with patience.

  553. When we are slandered incessantly, we always answer

  554. gently, ready to reconcile. Even now, in the world's

  555. opinion, we are nothing but filth and the lowest scum.

  556. Now why do I read this? Because when you really become a

  557. servant for Christ in order to become great, you will feel like

  558. you're the least thing from being great.

  559. When you truly begin to serve, many times you're going to be

  560. overlooked somewhere. It's going to be as if you

  561. disappear. It's almost as if you don't even

  562. exist. You don't even exist.

  563. Which reminds me of a very powerful scripture that John

  564. said I must decrease and he must now.

  565. It takes greatness to get lost. It's difficult.

  566. It's difficult again, Pastor Lynette when she announced.

  567. She says he's not a stranger to this platform.

  568. But the reality is they don't know how many times I've been

  569. insulted. Talked about by serving others

  570. empower them with the word. They begin to prosper because of

  571. the word, begin to do. Then they quit serving and then

  572. we became the ridicule. In fact, he went on to say this

  573. earlier. He said, you know, you guys are

  574. acting like kings, and I wish you were kings because then if

  575. you were true kings, we would be rolling with you.

  576. But the problem is you've taken what we've served you and you're

  577. not serving. And now at the end of the day,

  578. we're at the back of the line. But here's a cool thing.

  579. Jesus said the last will be first.

  580. Hallelujah. I said Hallelujah.

  581. So you got to know that when you're serving and it seems like

  582. nobody's looking, nobody's watching, nobody saw you pick

  583. the trash up when you were coming in.

  584. But you had such a desire for your church, for the facility

  585. that you come to that if you saw that trash, you're like, it's

  586. not acceptable that that the Lord's house would have junk

  587. here. You didn't say, oh, hey, by the

  588. way, you know you're some trash over there.

  589. Y'all ought to pick it up. That's how the Gentiles talk.

  590. No, you'll pick that trash up yourself.

  591. Why? Because we're all in this thing

  592. together. Nobody knows.

  593. You don't think. Nobody knows.

  594. But God knows. God knows.

  595. God knows that you have not arrived at a place that you

  596. can't still serve in any capacity.

  597. And in doing so, God will always continue, exalt your influence

  598. and give you opportunity. Why?

  599. Because he knows you're there, just serving them.

  600. You're not there to get a name for yourself.

  601. You're not there to be popular. You're not there to be.

  602. Next be, to be known as the next great CEO, great whatever.

  603. All you want to do is just serve the Lord and it starts here in

  604. this house. I said it starts here in this

  605. house. So sometimes when we're serving,

  606. I I, I understand that it seems like you could be like, you

  607. know, I'm like the most mistreated thing here.

  608. But how can you be when God sees it?

  609. Just keep serving, Just keep doing.

  610. Just keep serving. Just keep doing.

  611. I remember last year, I believe it was when I was at camp

  612. meeting. There's a particular usher that

  613. when you come out of the green room to come on the platform to

  614. go down the stairs to go out, he stands right here by the door.

  615. He's basically the keeper of the door.

  616. Nobody comes through, right. He's an older gentleman.

  617. He's got to be in the 70s, easy and again serving.

  618. And so I came through, right? I'm a speaker and every time I

  619. come through that door, I'm, I look for him and I shake it,

  620. say, hey, how you doing? Appreciate you serving.

  621. You're doing an awesome job. So great seeing you today.

  622. I mean, I'm every time, every time.

  623. Last year I was coming up. I think it's towards the last

  624. night. I shook his hands.

  625. Say hey, I appreciate for you serving.

  626. He held my hand, he said. Pastor, he said.

  627. I've been at this post for many years.

  628. I've done many camp meetings and I've never had a speaker come

  629. through and talk to me ever. Thank you for noticing me.

  630. He's just doing great work now. To him, it seems like it's not.

  631. It could be and for all those years seemed unnoticed.

  632. But God knew. This is why when you go to pick

  633. up your child today, you should be like thank you so much for

  634. serving. Thank you for serving, thank you

  635. for serving. You know, when you get out of

  636. the car, you know, and the golf cart comes by, you know what?

  637. Thanks for picking. You're you are awesome.

  638. Again, we're not doing that to puff them up, but we are

  639. acknowledging your greatness. Look at your greatness right

  640. now. Look at your greatness right

  641. now. Look at your greatness right

  642. now. Because here's the thing, if we

  643. really want to mature as a church, then all of us have got

  644. to be putting our hand to something.

  645. Because when people come, I've had pastors come to me and say,

  646. how do you get that many people to show up at these particular

  647. events and serve like that? Well, we just want to be the

  648. greatest, that's all. We just want to be the greatest.

  649. Because the greatest one died for us.

  650. The greatest one served us. The greatest one.

  651. Lay down his life for us. How could we sit in his house

  652. and say, you got to give me something, you give me

  653. something, yo, you give me something and then we don't give

  654. back. How can we do that?

  655. Give me a word. I got a problem.

  656. We're praying, asking God to get us out of stuff, and he serves a

  657. word of deliverance and then we don't serve him.

  658. We say we're serving because we asked him to come in our heart

  659. and save us. So when we die, we go to heaven.

  660. That's not serving. That was you got served by God,

  661. salvation, eternal life. Serving is now you being

  662. activated in the grace that God's given you and serving it

  663. to the body. People say, well, I'm serving

  664. the Lord. You're not serving the Lord if

  665. you're not serving somebody else.

  666. All right, I'm going to show you.

  667. If he's in chapter 4, verse 12. The 16 says it this way.

  668. Passion says it this way. And they're calling is to

  669. nurture. These are the fivefold right for

  670. the Saints is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers

  671. to do their own works of ministry.

  672. As they do this, they will enlarge and build up the body of

  673. Christ, notice their own works of ministry.

  674. But that is not an independent work of the church because you

  675. got to keep it in. Well, I got my own ministry.

  676. You don't have a ministry if it's not connected to the local

  677. body. I'm going to say that again.

  678. You do not have a ministry authorized by Jesus if you are

  679. not connected to the local body, Period.

  680. If there's a traveling minister, I ask, where's your church?

  681. Who's your pastor? If they can't answer that

  682. question, then you're not authorized to come speak in this

  683. pulpit because your socalled revelation is really just

  684. information. And you may preach it well, but

  685. it'll come from a fair, cynical spirit and my my congregation

  686. can grab hold of a word and grow with it, but you'll be deceived

  687. that you were anointed, and I don't want to continue to help

  688. your deception. You got to be connected to a

  689. pastor. In fact, every traveling

  690. minister honestly should take off from the road and sit a

  691. certain amount of times under their pastor because if it like,

  692. well, you know, I got to get out there, You know, this is how we

  693. make our living. What God can't help you provide

  694. for you by you showing that you are really connected to a local

  695. body because you're giving a loan doesn't say you're

  696. connected. We use finance to get out of

  697. other areas of serving. I'm going to say that again.

  698. We use finance to get out of other areas of serving.

  699. Did Jesus provide financially to people?

  700. Yes, he did. But he also provided other

  701. things right? Okay.

  702. Anyway, it says verse 13. These grace ministries will

  703. function until we all attain to oneness in the faith, until we

  704. all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of

  705. God and finally become one perfect man with the full

  706. dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully develop into the

  707. abundance of Christ. Verse 14.

  708. Then our immaturity will end. God wants our immaturity to end.

  709. He wants the Church mature, and we will not be easily shaken by

  710. trouble, nor let U.S. trade by novel teachings or by the false

  711. doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies.

  712. But instead we will remain strong, always sincere in our

  713. love as we express the truth. All our direction and ministries

  714. will flow from Christ and lead us into a deep us, deeper into

  715. Him, the anointed head of His body, the Church.

  716. For His body has been formed in His image and is closely joined

  717. together and constantly connected as one and every

  718. member say. Every member has been given

  719. divine gifts to contribute to the growth of all.

  720. As these gifts operate effectively throughout the whole

  721. body, we are built up and made perfect in love.

  722. Verse 14 tells us that if we do not stay connected, if we do not

  723. connect our Grace Ministries in the body where we're bringing

  724. our supplies, those people who do not serve are always

  725. susceptible to deception. They're always susceptible to

  726. deception. It is you're connecting with the

  727. body that allows you to grow up and will safeguard you from

  728. deception. I guarantee you those that are

  729. the most deceived Saints, wise, the majority of them are not

  730. connected to a local body. If you talk to them, you're like

  731. where you go to church. Most of them are going to not be

  732. committed somewhere. Now I'm not going to say there

  733. are whole ministries that are deceived.

  734. I get it. That can happen.

  735. I get that, OK. But the majority are because

  736. they have in they are independent.

  737. I know. God.

  738. I don't need a pastor. I don't need somebody over me.

  739. Right. OK, Well, you're you're telling

  740. Jesus that, right? Because Jesus said you need to

  741. have one. I said, Jesus said you need to

  742. have one. All right.

  743. So again, why is this important? Why is it there to serve?

  744. Look at this in Matthew, chapter 25, y'all doing all right.

    Matthew 25 chapter mention

  745. Say I want to be the greatest. Amen.

  746. I mean, I'm teaching you how to be the greatest.

  747. This is like, these are the running, shouting ones.

  748. See, that's what gets me. That's what gets me.

  749. Now again, if I had, you know, hundreds of dollars of bills

  750. right now and I started giving them away, you know, and saying

  751. so, then you know next thing you're going to get a harvest

  752. and you're going to be get be millions.

  753. You know, people get all crazy over this stuff and then we get

  754. in a Holy Ghost meeting like this.

  755. I said we getting a hole that goes meeting like this.

  756. Don't think I don't know. Amen.

  757. I mean, I I've gone to places that I've been tasked to do that

  758. message. I mean, make no mistake about

  759. it. It's it's tempting to want to be

  760. liked, you know, it's tempting, you know, that everybody smiles

  761. while you're preaching and laughing and just like really

  762. and enjoying themselves. But God tells you to preach that

  763. message and the anointings on that message and you got to

  764. preach it and you're like, man, you know, because I remember

  765. when I did Summer Bliss on Friday night, man, I'm like,

  766. well, this ain't no running service right now and we ain't.

  767. This ain't running right here. I Lord, how how's this conclude

  768. this deal? Well, the Lord did it through

  769. his own way, through the baptism and got some things and some

  770. great purity. But it was quiet, wasn't it?

  771. Pastor Marcy, you can hear a pin drop in that room because all of

  772. a sudden we started pulling on responsibility.

  773. And just because you're young doesn't mean you you can't.

  774. You're not supposed to be responsible.

  775. Hallelujah. And at the end of the day, if I

  776. don't serve you, the word I gave away actually did give away $50

  777. bills. Two teenagers who could tell me

  778. things spoken previous in the week.

  779. And my lesson was the word rewards.

  780. Because if all they remember is a song or the pregame thing they

  781. did, then what good is it, right?

  782. But then I had $100 bill I wanted to give away.

  783. And I said this goes to one who actually has scripture, not just

  784. some nugget that they heard from somebody.

  785. And I said, and I'm preaching this one.

  786. Well, one was like, I heard you Wednesday, Wednesday.

  787. Oh, you were in there. You actually came over to the

  788. adults during the 2:30 because they didn't do a 230 youth.

  789. So this one teenager started reading notes and they were

  790. accurate what I was saying, I said give me the scriptures did

  791. too. I said that's all you got 2

  792. scriptures. I said girl I had at least 18.

  793. I said I'm not giving us $100 away for two scriptures right

  794. here. I said I need somebody that's

  795. got some scriptures so I went over to other kid because one

  796. team was like point and I said I said what do you got?

  797. I don't have any scripture also let's forget it bro you got it.

  798. I need some scripture. A girl said I got some so she

  799. started giving points and then she started reading scriptures

  800. and buddy she had. Just by every scripture I had I

  801. said the knowing the word rewards.

  802. Knowing the word rewards. Because at the end of the day if

  803. I don't give you the word because they were set up by

  804. chase at the beginning of the week.

  805. If all you have is an experience with God, then when the

  806. experience is gone, your relationship with God is gone

  807. too. And there's many churches they

  808. come and have a experience. Well, who's defining what the

  809. experience is? He says no.

  810. You need to get in the moment and learn from it so that you'll

  811. maintain what the relationship was supposed to teach you.

  812. So when you go, it's always with you.

  813. Hallelujah. Amen.

  814. Matthew 2534 says this. And the king will say, say the

  815. king to those on his right. Come, you are blessed to my

  816. father. Inherit the Kingdom prepared for

  817. you from the foundation of the world.

  818. Now before I read the next scripture, why do you think the

  819. majority of people will think the reason why that is available

  820. to them is because they asked Jesus to come into their heart

  821. and save them? What gives the right for the

  822. king to tell someone Come. You are blessed to my father.

  823. Inherit the king to prepare for you from the foundation of the

  824. world before you ever born. It's been prepared for you.

  825. You get to come. You get to come.

  826. Well, it's cause you're born again.

  827. Well, is that what Jesus says? Is that what Jesus says?

  828. Now I'm not talking works, but I am talking responsibility.

  829. I'm talking responsibility because God does not give you a

  830. gift to bury. So he goes on and says, come

  831. inherit the Kingdom, prepare for you from the foundation world

  832. four. Why are you going to get this

  833. inheritance for? I was hungry and you gave.

  834. Say gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave,

  835. say, gave need something to drink.

  836. I was a stranger, and you invited me in.

  837. Say, invite me in naked, and you clothed me.

  838. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to

  839. me. Then the righteous will answer

  840. and say, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or

  841. thirsty and give you something to drink?

  842. And when did we see you a stranger invite you in, or naked

  843. and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in

  844. prison? And come to you?

  845. The king will answer and say to them truly, I say to you, to the

  846. extent that you did it to one of these brothers of mine, even the

  847. least of them, you did it to me. So the king is saying, you

  848. served because you know what? It's not convenient to go to

  849. prison. You got to take Tom.

  850. It's not convenient to feed the hungry.

  851. It's not convenient. You have to be intentional in

  852. your serving. You had to be intentional.

  853. You have to know I'm looking for opportunities and notice, he

  854. says. You did this to my brothers.

  855. This isn't even the lost, OK? This isn't even the lost.

  856. This list is not to the world. Serving the world your gift.

  857. This is serving your gift to the church that you were so

  858. conscious about the church you don't want to hurt.

  859. Somebody at the church needed something.

  860. I'm here to help. Somebody needs some food, man.

  861. What can we do? Somebody need some drink?

  862. I'm do that. You know, someone has surgery.

  863. I'm going to go over there and give them some food.

  864. Somebody's sick, You know, we're praying for them.

  865. You know, we're going to go over and visit them.

  866. All of these are serving capacities on top of the

  867. assignment of just serving the church as a whole.

  868. And these are things God's looking for with his kids

  869. because he wants them to become great.

  870. He wants them to be the greatest.

  871. He wants us to be the greatest influencers in the world, the

  872. greatest influencers in the world.

  873. But the only way we can be that is through serving, serving, let

  874. me just say this, anchor Faith Church will get to a place that

  875. we have 100% participation, 100%.

  876. No retirees, no retirees. In fact, if you've retired from

  877. your job, you have more opportunity to come serve.

  878. What you doing with your time anyway?

  879. Sitting around watching Bonanza now, people who retired know

  880. what that's That is to me, young people.

  881. I have no idea what that is. I mean, what are you doing now?

  882. You understand what a nonserver will say?

  883. Well, they're just exploiting me.

  884. How can God exploit you? He gave you His life.

  885. He's giving you eternal life. He's giving you all blessings.

  886. He's healed your body and you can't come serve his church.

  887. They just want all my time. Jesus does.

  888. He wants it all, he said. Look, you going to love me with

  889. all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your

  890. strength. And if you retired, you got you

  891. should be coming up here. What can I do, Pastor?

  892. What can I do? Is there anything we can do?

  893. Look, I can tell you right now. We can let let you serve

  894. somewhere. There's no doubt about that.

  895. Why? Because this is the greatest

  896. thing on the planet. It is the Church of the living

  897. God. It is the greatest thing ever

  898. because the church is serving the world, the light.

  899. And when we unify and we get around this message and we get

  900. around this vision and we get around our call in this local

  901. body and we are obsessed with this call, then everybody else

  902. will be. They'll think we're fanaticals.

  903. I get it. They'll think we're kind of

  904. crazy. They'll think that we are

  905. lording it over you. But you're like, you ain't

  906. telling me what to do. I've come to serve.

  907. I mean, do you know, Gee, how could you not serve your church?

  908. I mean, that should be your attitude towards others that are

  909. going somewhere else. How could you not?

  910. How could you cheapen the price paid so that you can be in

  911. relationship with God? How could there not be another

  912. opportunity? And again, we do have a serving

  913. church. Don't get me wrong, I am not

  914. saying that we don't. I'm just here to remind you This

  915. is why we will be the greatest and I'm not competing.

  916. All other congregations can be the greatest too.

  917. They just can't be better. Because we're the greatest,

  918. We're the greatest. We are the greatest because we

  919. serve, we serve, we serve. That's what we do.

  920. The Cold War, following the head of the church's example, I

  921. didn't come to be served, but to serve.

  922. So some of you, you need to come out of retirement.

  923. You need to get out of retirement.

  924. Some of y'all been so trained. I mean, you've gone through

  925. School of Life, Kingdom Institute, you've gone through

  926. different discipleship things we've done.

  927. You should be somewhere putting your hand to something,

  928. somewhere you should be doing it and doing it with.

  929. Not because I'm asking you, but because the head of the church

  930. says I want you to be great and the way to do that is to serve

  931. others. And we serve each other first.

  932. Some of you are giving all your time to the lost.

  933. In fact the even Jesus said don't give the don't don't give

  934. the pearls before the swamp. Some of you are putting all your

  935. effort towards people outside and they're getting you're

  936. getting no movement. I'm not saying we are supposed

  937. to be an example, but not at the expense that we can't have time

  938. for the church. I'm too busy to serve the

  939. church, yet Jesus is looking to determine if you're great is how

  940. much are you serving in the local body He's assigned you,

  941. and that's not works. It's a heart in love with the

  942. place God has assigned you. And nobody can steal that

  943. reward. Nobody.

  944. In fact. I won't say who it is, but a

  945. particular person joined this church because not too long ago

  946. they were picking up their child from the preschool and they saw

  947. myself and my wife on a ladder painting, painting, and they

  948. went home and told their spouse I saw the pastor's painting.

  949. I've never been to a church where the pastors painted, ever.

  950. They'll even serve in that capacity.

  951. And they said we're joining this church, we're joining this

  952. church, we're joining this church.

  953. At the end of the day, there's no project too small for me.

  954. There's nothing in this house that I won't do because at the

  955. end of the day, if nobody's going to do it, I'm going to

  956. serve my king. But they was never designed so

  957. that the pastor did it all. It was designed so that all of

  958. us did it together. And then when he is looking from

  959. heaven and he's like Holy Spirit, it's time for the latter

  960. rain, it's time for the maturing of the crop, It's time for that

  961. last outpouring. Let's let's fly over, let's go

  962. over the nation, the USA and let's look and see which

  963. churches. Are moving in unity and oneness.

  964. Let's see, the ones that are are are showing leadership.

  965. Which ones are rising to the top because they're serving one

  966. another? Let's see.

  967. And man, can it be that when he comes across and say let's start

  968. in Saint Augustine since it's the oldest city anyway?

  969. Let's start in Saint Augustine, since it's the oldest city

  970. anyway, because I'm reminded of a letter that was written by the

  971. clergy back to the king and asked him not to shut the thing

  972. down because they had mission work going on and for that

  973. reason it stayed alive. Is there still the work of God

  974. happening in Saint Augustine? Oh look, I have found a church.

  975. I have found a church. I have found one.

  976. It happens to me at 2121. You asked 1 S It happens to be

  977. anchored in some faith. It happens to be serving at a

  978. capacity that exceeds my expectations.

  979. And I'm going to pour out my spirit on them.

  980. And it's going to come exceedingly abundantly knowing

  981. what they can think or imagine. Because we're candidates,

  982. because we have the heart of the Father and we're serving by the

  983. spirit. And I can never burn out.

  984. I can't burn out. I can't burn out because the oil

  985. in me is all the gladness is an oil that allows me to flow and

  986. move and run and have great capacity.

  987. Hallelujah, Father. We thank you for your word

  988. today. We thank us alive and active,

  989. sharper than any twist sword. I thank you for the culture of

  990. your Kingdom here at Anchor Faith Church.

  991. Father, I thank you for this culture.

  992. I thank you for those you're assigning to us.

  993. As you spoke to me not too long ago, you said I want you to call

  994. this. Many people gave me a number for

  995. the first time. Never had that before, but I

  996. call it. But I knew that if that number

  997. is to come in, there's only one way that number could be here.

  998. And so that's why I declare that number.

  999. You ask and I say they're submitted and committed to the

1000. vision because you can get a crowd and they have no

1001. commitment or submission to the vision.

1002. We want those that are submitted and committed to the vision you

1003. had for this church before the foundations of the world,

1004. because you saw them jointed and fitted continually together,

1005. bringing their supply of love for one another, allowing their

1006. grace gifts to intertwine. Where one had a lack of ability,

1007. the other one held up those arms and says, but I have that

1008. ability, I've been graced with that.

1009. And fathers, we all begin to interconnect and be jointed

1010. together that we will continue to mature as a church.

1011. And in doing so, it gives the ability for the brand new

1012. believer, the one that just comes in to mature quicker than

1013. they would if they'd have been planted somewhere else.

1014. Because, Lord, I do believe in the prophecy you gave, that it

1015. is seem in these last days when that manifestation or spirit,

1016. it'd be as if they grew up overnight that they'll pass

1017. those tests, the revelation of your word, they'll be that 11th

1018. hour believer that gets the same anointing in less time.

1019. And so, Father, we thank you that this church is maturing,

1020. it's growing and it is the greatest church in Saint

1021. Augustine because this does most serving church.

1022. Thank you so much for listening to this message.
