Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message Podcast
-
from St. Augustine, FL.
-
Now enjoy this message. I'm so excited to be speaking
-
today. Pastor Earl and Marcy I'm are
-
currently down at our Anchor Faith Church in Managua doing a
-
Kingdom Rise Conference. Come on, If you're connected to
-
the vision of Anchor Faith Church, this is an exciting
-
moment. We have every pastor from every
-
Anchor Faith Church. Every Head Pastor and every
-
Anchor Faith Church is currently, right now in Managua,
-
bringing a Kingdom Rise Conference to a whole another
-
country. This is something you're
-
connected to, a vision you're a part of that weren't able to
-
start seeing it truly influence the world.
-
It's an exciting time. And so Pastor Earl had asked me
-
to minister while he was out, which is always an honor to be
-
able to speak in your own home, church, in your local body.
-
You know, it's a blessing to be here.
-
And so, you know, as I was preparing for this message, it
-
just kept stirring within me the word Pastor Earl spoke at the
-
beginning of the year called raining resonance, raining
-
resonance. And I realized we're just over,
-
you know, the halfway point of the year.
-
You know, we're we're in into August, a couple months past
-
halfway. And I thought it would be a
-
great time to kind of revisit a little bit of that and kind of
-
do a check in on ourselves and see how are we doing this year?
-
How are we doing in raining this year?
-
How is our resonance? Right.
-
So Pastor had began. You know, if you've been in
-
Anchor Faith Church for many years, you know, we don't always
-
do like a word for the year kind of thing.
-
That's not something we've always done before raining
-
residents, we were doing equip for like 3 years.
-
We just felt like it was time to equip, equip at Anchor Faith
-
Church, what we were doing. So it's not we're not always
-
seeking to have like a word for the year or something that's
-
going on. But Pastor had it late in his
-
heart the word Rayma. And obviously we're connected
-
with the Rayma Bible Church, which is awesome, and we do a
-
lot with them and they're great. But he was specifically talking
-
about the spoken word, right? The spoken word of God, the
-
Rayma word, the spoken word of God.
-
And what he said was In 2023, your words will have power like
-
never before. In 2023, our words will have
-
power like never before, right? And so I want to go into today
-
and just kind of look a little bit into it and give ourselves,
-
like I said, a little check in on how are we doing this year,
-
Are we raining in our words? Right.
-
So if you're taking notes, the title of my message today is the
-
empty echo of a quiet. King Oh, wow.
-
Good. Thank you, put a lot of thought
-
into this title. The empty echo of a quiet.
-
King, Let's start in a mark, 1123 through 24, it says, Truly,
-
I say to you, whoever says to this mountain be taken up and
-
cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes
-
what he says is going to happen. It will be granted him.
-
Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and
-
ask, believe that you have received them and they will be
-
granted to you, right? Truly, truly, I say to you
-
whoever what says, whoever, what, whoever says to the
-
mountain, right? So right out the bat Jesus is
-
telling us, look, it's not just enough to believe in your heart,
-
you have to what? Say something with your mouth.
-
So what is resonance then, right?
-
What is a resonance? Resonance means to have a
-
lasting effect, right? When something has resonance, it
-
means it resounds beyond. Just the immediate.
-
I don't know. Has anyone ever been in You can
-
raise your Hand one of those really quiet sound rooms.
-
No, I mean I've been in a couple doing some sound boosts and what
-
they do is they got like. All the phone, all over, all the
-
walls. And you get in there, and I've
-
been in one. It was actually at Rama Bible
-
Church. They have one.
-
And it's like, so quiet. You can hear your blood, like
-
rushing in your veins, Like it's just like unsettlingly quiet,
-
right? And so then when, like, you
-
speak or clap, it just dies. Like instantly.
-
There's no resonance at all. The minute you say something,
-
it's like it comes out your mouth and then hits the ground
-
and it's just gone. It's like the weirdest feeling
-
to be involved in something that has no resounding or echoing
-
fact at all. It just kind of ends, right?
-
But we want our words to go on past us and then resound into
-
the world, right? And we understand that our words
-
have the ability to bring change.
-
Your words have the ability to bring change.
-
And I understand sometimes people get locked up on like you
-
have authority right. Which we just saying some people
-
get locked up on like what do you mean we have the authority
-
that Jesus had. And so taking, you know that off
-
the table for a second, naturally speaking, there's tons
-
of science to prove your words literally do enact change,
-
right. Has anyone remember that little,
-
like, kindergarten thing where they took all the plants and
-
they put them in a room and then they spoke really nice to the
-
plants, right? They walk in like, you are so
-
beautiful. Your shade of green is the only
-
shade of green that has ever existed in all of the shades.
-
This flower is so unique that you have blossoms yourself,
-
right? And then they go to the other
-
room. They're like, you are the
-
ugliest plant I've ever seen. I don't that's not even you
-
can't even call that green. Is this supposed to be a flower,
-
right? And then they come back after
-
weeks of talking to these plants and they literally see the ones
-
you spoke life into. I've actually blossomed and
-
bloomed and shown more positive growth than the ones you spoke
-
negative to. And this even goes into music,
-
right? They'll play like nice uplifting
-
music or like really sad and dreary music.
-
And then you see the difference of the effects on the plant.
-
So I'm not just even talking spiritually, just from a natural
-
standpoint. Your words and that change.
-
This is just a proven thing, right?
-
Then you got like this the the, the new thing.
-
Like like manifesting, right. I'm going to manifest something.
-
Right. And why does this work?
-
Because this is here you go. You're tapping into an actual
-
spiritual law on a natural see because the God said I have no
-
problem speaking and saying oh, I'm beautiful and I'm feeling
-
better. Whether they're not speaking the
-
word they are speaking word. The Bible says you are
-
beautifully and wonderfully made so you can be speaking word over
-
your life without actually knowing you're speaking Word
-
over your life and you're seeing the change because God has
-
placed the law into effect that will change your life, right?
-
So just from a natural standpoint, we have to
-
understand that the words you speak do actually enact change
-
on your life, right? And why is this important?
-
Because if you aren't speaking anything, then you aren't
-
changing anything. If you're not speaking anything,
-
then you're not actually changing anything.
-
And so we can't go into life wondering, why is nothing
-
changing when we're keeping our mouth quiet, right?
-
So we look back and we say, man, I want to have a reigning
-
resonance. I want to have a reigning
-
resonance. Proverbs 1820 and 21.
-
Says with the fruit of a man's mouth, his stomach will be
-
satisfied. He will be satisfied with the
-
product of his lips. Death and life are in the power
-
of the tongue and those who love it.
-
Will eat its fruit. Death and life are in the power
-
of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit,
-
right? So what have we been decreeing
-
this year? Because, you know, the word at
-
the beginning of the year, to an extent, is basically just like
-
a, you know, a spiritual, like New Year's resolution, right.
-
A lot of times it's like you come, what are you going to do
-
this year? I'm going to lose 15 pounds.
-
What are you going to do this year?
-
I'm going to read one book every month.
-
And then you read like your first book for the first month,
-
the second book for the second month.
-
Then you read like half a book the third month.
-
And then you don't finish that book and you read like, well,
-
maybe I should just go to like a I'll just read this pamphlet.
-
Like, you know, what blog articles that's reading those
-
count. You know what?
-
Actually, I read 4 Instagram status updates today.
-
So I've got my reading in, you know, And so like that
-
resolution just kind of like Phase and Trickles.
-
And if we're not careful, our spiritual resolution can do the
-
same thing, right? We get fired up, like, I'm going
-
to have a rating resonance. And then two months later,
-
something kind of comes and you're like, the words aren't
-
really there anymore, right? And we're talking about you'll
-
have whatever you say. Then we got to be saying some
-
things, right? Do you want to a raining
-
resonance or do you want an empty echo?
-
We want to have a raining resonance.
-
We want to be speaking life into not only our situations, but
-
into the situations of those around us, right?
-
Like we preach so much here at Anchor Faith Church.
-
This isn't just about you. We have to get out of thinking
-
so much about my personal walk. You need a personal walk, but
-
you should have that locked down.
-
I don't have a big personal walk goal because I locked down my
-
personal walk. So I started thinking, how can I
-
now enact change for those around me?
-
I want to spend more. I want to get myself locked down
-
and what I'm saying about me so that I can spend more time
-
focusing on those around me, so that when I have to take time to
-
do something, it's because I'm actually helping other people,
-
right? And we should be looking out for
-
those opportunities, finding things.
-
Where can I put my word today, right?
-
Because if you understand that your words have power, then we
-
should be looking for opportunities to speak life
-
somewhere. We should be searching for them.
-
I'm not satisfied with not having something to speak about.
-
If we live faith to faith, then I need to be looking for the
-
next place to put my faith. I'm looking for the next thing.
-
I'm never satisfied with what I just had.
-
I'm looking for what I can be doing next, right?
-
I'm looking forward, just like Pastor said in The Greatest
-
Right. It's OK to want to achieve
-
greatness, but greatness doesn't come by only being satisfied
-
with what you had, right? Because if you do what someone
-
else did, you only ever have what they had.
-
I'm not looking to be as good as someone.
-
I'm looking to be better. Therefore, I have to do more
-
than they were willing to ever do.
-
I have to be willing to go a step further than them, Right?
-
Romans 8, four through 14. We'll do a little bit of reading
-
here. Romans 8, four through 14.
-
So the requirement. Of the law might be fulfilled in
-
us who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the
-
Spirit. For those who are according to
-
the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those
-
who are according to the Spirit. The things of the Spirit.
-
For the mindset on the flesh is death, but the mindset on the
-
Spirit is life and peace, because the mindset on the flesh
-
is hostile towards God. For it does not subject itself
-
to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those
-
who are in the flesh cannot please God.
-
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
-
However, you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if
-
indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.
-
But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not
-
belong to him. If Christ is in you, though the
-
body is dead because of sin, yet the Spirit is alive because of
-
righteousness. But if the Spirit of him who
-
raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised
-
Christ Jesus from the dead will also give a life to your mortal
-
bodies through his spell it who dwell his Spirit, who dwells in
-
you. So then, brethren, we are under
-
we are under obligation not to the flesh to live according to
-
the flesh. For if you are living according
-
to the flesh, you must die. But if by the Spirit you are
-
putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
-
For all those, for all who are being led by the Spirit of God,
-
these are the sons of God. For all those who are being led
-
by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.
-
And I would further add that all those who are led by the Spirit
-
of God will speak from the Spirit of God, but those who are
-
led by the flesh will speak from the flesh.
-
Why? Because what you put in you will
-
come out of you, right? What you're putting inside of
-
you will inevitably be what comes out of you, right?
-
And a quiet king won't see any change, because if you don't
-
have anything in you to say, then you won't say anything,
-
right? And he is the king of Who are
-
those kings? We are so I don't want to be a
-
quiet king. I want to enact change around
-
me. I want to be speaking from the
-
Spirit. I want to be speaking words of
-
life. I want to be speaking something
-
that's going to enact change in my life and the ones around me.
-
But I can only do it if I'm if I'm putting the word inside of
-
me, and if I believe that when I speak it will.
-
Actually happen. Numbers 2319 says God is not a
-
man, that he should lie, nor a son a man that he should repent.
-
He has, he said, and he will, and he and will he not do it?
-
Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?
-
When God says He will do something, He will do it, and
-
this is something we have to be so firmly persuaded about,
-
because if I'm going to speak his words confidently then I
-
need to know that they are backed. 100% See, I'm the kind
-
of person who likes to be prepared.
-
Like I like to be ready for whatever the situation is that
-
I'm going to go into. There's nothing more that bugs
-
me than when someone's like, hey, we need to meet next week
-
and then like, gives you nothing else.
-
OK, what are we meeting about? Like, what does this pertain to?
-
I need to collect my information so that when I get to this
-
meeting, I know what's going on. I don't like being surprised,
-
like I want to build the case. I want to know what's going on.
-
Am I in trouble? Have I done something wrong?
-
Like you start saying like I haven't done anything wrong.
-
Like I know I'm good, so I can't be that.
-
What is it we need to know? I like to have the game plan
-
right, because when you have the plan and you know what's going
-
on, then you can show it with so much more confidence because I
-
already know the outcome. When I already know the outcome,
-
it's so much easier to deliver information.
-
And so when I know that God will do what he says every time
-
period, it's easy for me to speak His word because I know he
-
will accomplish it. But I have to have that
-
confidence that when I speak, it will go for Isaiah 5511.
-
Isaiah 5511 says so will my word, which goes forth from my
-
mouth. It will not return to me empty
-
without accomplishing what I desire and without succeeding in
-
the matter for which I sent it. We have to believe that we're
-
speaking from the Spirit and that we're speaking the word.
-
See, this is where people lock up.
-
They think it's what they are saying that's actually doing the
-
change. No, it's what God is telling you
-
to say that will have change. It's not just me saying whatever
-
I want hoping it will change. No, it's me saying what God has
-
told me to say that will enact change because with his word is
-
being spoken. I know it will accomplish
-
whatever it was sent for, but my word being spoken can hang out
-
there in a lot of hope, right? That's why some of us have been
-
saying a lot of stuff without getting a game plan from God.
-
And you're like, why is this not working?
-
Why am I not seeing it? Because you haven't actually
-
gotten the word to say, right? We want to get a word from God
-
and then speak that word because that's what he's obligated to
-
make sure is accomplished is His word.
-
This is why we say you have to understand that God's word in
-
your mouth is just as strong as God's word in His mouth.
-
Why? Because if it's God's word, then
-
He will accomplish it. You're just speaking it into
-
existence. God still needs us to say some
-
things. God still uses man and he needs
-
us to speak that word into existence so he will go
-
accomplish. It he's looking for you to open
-
your mouth, not just be a quiet king.
-
We can't be passive in our Kingdom relationship hoping
-
someone else is going to say something for us.
-
No, it's time for us to start speaking this stuff out.
-
It's time for us to do it first, John 514 through 15 says.
-
This is the confidence which we have before him, that if we ask
-
anything according to his will, he hears us.
-
And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that
-
we have the request which we have asked from him, right?
-
So he's obligated to honor his word when you're asking
-
according to his will. And This is why I like I said,
-
This is why I think a lot of people get hung up, is they
-
think they can just speak anything and God has to do it.
-
Even if it sounds positive. Even if it's got all the well
-
intentions. Even if you think it's the best
-
course of action for your life. But God is obligated to honor
-
his word and his will, and that's what he will see through
-
to the end, right? So when we talk about having a
-
reigning residence, we have to be resonating that which was
-
spoken. We want to resonate that which
-
God has spoken to us. A lot of time is God saying
-
something and he's casting a word into your life and he's
-
wanting you to push it into this resonance out into the world,
-
but instead you let it hit you and then it becomes this empty
-
echo of nothing. See, we're looking for the word
-
of God, for our life, for the word of God on a situation.
-
A lot of times people are trying to formulate some big game plan
-
when they just need a word. You just need to speak that
-
word, and if that's the only word you got, then you just keep
-
saying it. Then you just keep saying that
-
one thing. I've seen some people get led
-
into baptism of Holy Spirit and sometimes they're like, look, if
-
you only got 1, just keep saying the one thing over and over and
-
over until it builds up enough that it starts overflowing and
-
coming out. But then they think, well, I'm
-
just saying the same thing, doesn't matter, just start
-
somewhere, let it build and then it overflows out.
-
Sometimes if you just start saying a word over and over, God
-
will start bringing more context and like to that word, but he's
-
waiting for you to start saying it and let it resonate out into
-
the world. Some of you are just a few few
-
spoken words away from getting what you need.
-
I don't know how many times I've personally got just a little
-
fragment of a sentence and then I just meditate on that fragment
-
of a sentence and then it, and then it becomes something so
-
much bigger it grows in. Sometimes it's months later I
-
hear something else and I'm like.
-
That's what that meant. That makes sense.
-
I've heard things over my life that in the immediate didn't
-
really connect with me. And then I've reviewed them and
-
kind of sat on them and meditated on them, then let it
-
go because I didn't really make a connection.
-
The next thing you know, something else is spoken.
-
I get and it connects in and boom, now I'm off on something,
-
right? So some of you have a word that
-
you just need to start enacting that one word and let everything
-
else start piling onto it. Let everything else start
-
forming around it, right? We don't want to be a quiet
-
king. Our words have power when we're
-
saying his words, right? Our words have power when we're
-
saying his words, Second Corinthians 413 says.
-
But having the same spirit of. Faith according to what is
-
written. I believed, therefore I spoke.
-
We also believe, therefore, we also those who believe will be
-
speaking. When you know you know
-
something, you want to talk about it.
-
When you know you've got something, you want to let other
-
people know. And so when we are truly doing
-
this thing and we're believing what we've got going on, we're
-
going to want to let other people know about it.
-
We're going to want to say something about it.
-
We're going to want to speak it into existence.
-
You don't want to just hide it in yourself.
-
No, you want other people to know.
-
You want to see that they can see the change.
-
You want to see change because sometimes you're not saying
-
something that's happening in your life and someone might get
-
sparked just by seeing the change that's affecting you, but
-
because you're keeping it quiet, you're not impacting those
-
around you. Now we want to be speaking
-
Matthew. 823 to 27 This is when they got done.
-
Jesus got done preaching. They're going across the other
-
side of sea, he says. When he got into the boat, his
-
disciples followed him, and behold, there arose a great
-
storm. On the sea, so that the boat was
-
covered with the waves. But Jesus himself was asleep,
-
and they came to him and woke him saying, Save us, Lord, we
-
are perishing. And he said to them, Why are you
-
afraid, you men of little faith? Then he got up and rebuked the
-
winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.
-
And then they were amazed and said, What kind of man is this,
-
that even the winds and the sea obey him?
-
Jesus spoke to it. But see, they woke him up.
-
And Jesus was like, where's your face?
-
I gave you a word. OK, come on.
-
I gave you a word that you could have spoken, but you stayed
-
quiet. I gave you a word that we would
-
get to the other side. I gave you something to hold on
-
to. I gave you something.
-
You could speak into existence. You could have stood here and
-
said yourself, now we're going to make it to the other side.
-
But because you held a word within you, no change took
-
place. God wants us to be speaking, and
-
he's telling them, where was your faith?
-
You didn't believe that you could have done change here.
-
You didn't have enough faith to believe the word I gave you, and
-
so you were too scared to speak it.
-
So you got to ask yourself, do I believe this thing, or am I
-
holding on to a word God's given me because I'm scared it won't
-
work? Because what if I do step out
-
and I sink? At least you stepped out.
-
Like I've said before, he took more steps on the water than
-
anyone else. No one else in the Bible is
-
credited for walking on water. We sure like to make fun of the
-
guy for sinking, but he still stepped out there way farther
-
than all the other disciples. It was him and Jesus walking on
-
water for at least a moment, right?
-
We can't lose sight of the word. We can't let the things around
-
us affect the word that was spoken to us, right?
-
This is why it's so important to have the word inside of you,
-
right? Some of us are only dealing with
-
surface problems because we only have surface word.
-
See, when pressure comes, it's what's hidden deep down in your
-
heart that starts to come out. When the pressure comes, it's
-
those things that you've tucked away, those things you've
-
meditated on, those things you've spent time in, that
-
starts to reveal itself. Some of us are feeling pressure,
-
but we haven't put enough word deep down, so it's not coming
-
out. So on the surface we look good.
-
Our little problems are fine because with a little pressure
-
we got just enough. But once it starts to get tight,
-
we realized we didn't put as much in as we thought we did.
-
Why do we not see change? Do you have enough in you to be
-
speaking? Do you have enough word in you
-
that no matter what circumstances comes and it
-
applies pressure, only the word will come out?
-
I'm going to be honest, I'm not a big chapter verse guy.
-
Like you know, that's not my strong suit.
-
I read the Bible, I know get a lot of word, but I've always
-
kind of struggled with like here's the word, here's where
-
it's at. Like I know it because I've been
-
in it enough and it's in there enough that it starts to squeeze
-
out. And I've been in some
-
conversations before and you know, the Holy Spirit has
-
brought some things up that I've, I've wrote down
-
afterwards. I've told my wife, sometimes I
-
even preach messages and then some some section comes up
-
that's not in your notes because you just get it by the Spirit
-
and you're like, I come back and like add that back in for next
-
time, right? Because when the word is in
-
there, it's amazing how it will just start coming out right.
-
I've been in conversations, just buddy conversations and
-
something brings up and the next thing you know, some word is
-
coming out. Why?
-
Because I put it in me and it wants to get out.
-
We talk about, we talk about in worship being overflowing.
-
Why? Because you're so full it has to
-
go somewhere else. Are we filling ourselves with
-
the words so much that it has to get out or do we have such a
-
surface amount of word that all these little surface problems
-
keep draining anything before it can really sink in?
-
Because I'm so focused on me and my immediate surface problems
-
and I'm not getting enough where I got my Bahrain plan and I read
-
and I checked this box, but I don't ever dive deeper because
-
we all know that Bahrain plan. Some days it's like 3 minutes,
-
right? Wednesdays is like Psalms and
-
some of those things like you can get done reading before you
-
even realize you started reading it.
-
I've done it, Molly. Like you get done, you start
-
reading like oh that was it. And I'm not a fast reader.
-
Yeah. Then you do have other days
-
where it's like I think like Thursday or Friday is where it's
-
like you reading for like 40 minutes some, some, some maybe
-
just me. Something might be a little
-
slower, like I was reading for an hour and a half.
-
I'm also one of those. Readers like I read it, then
-
realize I read 3 pages and I didn't read 3 pages.
-
You know, like I read it, but I didn't retain any of it.
-
You know, like you read, then you're like, get to averse.
-
Like, what are they talking about?
-
Like, where did this come from? All of a sudden I had to go back
-
and read it again. And I felt like, I'm like, like,
-
you know, my daughter London's in Washington.
-
She gets like those reading comprehension.
-
Like what? What have you learned from
-
reading? Sometimes I asked her a
-
question. I was like, did you?
-
That's like the title. And she's like, Mary had a
-
little lamb. Who had the lamb?
-
Oh, I don't remember her name. It's in the title of the book.
-
Her name was Mary. What did you even read?
-
And I you know. Like frustrates me.
-
Then I realized I've read the bomb.
-
I've done the same thing like King so and so was like where'd.
-
This king come from, But then you ask yourself, do you keep
-
going or do you go back and reread it?
-
Because I know some of you sitting in the chair, I've done
-
the same thing. We're like, yeah, I'll just pick
-
up from here. Well, you get to so and so but
-
get so and so but get so and so. You know, I love, you know,
-
Joshua Clay because he's a big history Bible guy and you know,
-
for me, like you just reading so and so, but get so and so, but
-
get so. And so, like, you know, I'm
-
reading this, but why? I don't even know my family tree
-
this well. But then Josh comes in, He's
-
like, did you realize David's father was actually this person
-
was like, you know, I read it like four times.
-
No, I did not realize. Right.
-
So are we reading and actually trying to get something put
-
inside of us? Or are we just going through
-
emotion, trying to act like we're spiritual, trying to act
-
like we got something? Because there's the thing
-
Hebrews 412 says for the word of God is living and active.
-
And sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as
-
the. Division of the soul and the
-
spirit of joints and marrow, and able to judge thoughts and
-
intentions of the heart. The word of God is like a sword.
-
When we speak, we're getting battle ready.
-
But if you ain't got the word, it's like running into a war
-
with an empty sheath. Some of you are in a sword fight
-
trying to Kung Fu with your arm. You ain't got no words.
-
You just out there like, let's try to do something.
-
We're leaving our weapon behind us, Running out into battle.
-
Why we losing? Oh, I don't know why.
-
I just keep feeling like you can't overcome this because I'm
-
leaving my weapon behind. The big new thing, my praise is
-
a weapon. I tell you something, the word
-
is a weapon. Your praise is only a weapon if
-
you're singing the Some of you are singing songs that ain't
-
word and the weapon you're using is being used against you.
-
Some of you are trying to praise your way through problems with
-
the wrong songs and now you're just confession confessing
-
death. So why we don't just sing
-
anything in Anchor Faith? We check to make sure these
-
words that we're going to be singing are going to be words of
-
life. So why you can't just jump on
-
YouTube and pick any worship band and then start going
-
through their stuff? Because next thing you know,
-
like I love this song. It's amazing.
-
I realize you're confessing yourself into problems, but I'm
-
worshipping. But what are you saying?
-
Because most of your did. You just end up getting into
-
emotion anyways and we find out if you ain't worshipping with
-
the word then you're not really worshipping from the spirit.
-
In a year of reigning residents, we got to check ourselves on
-
everything we are saying. Because if we said our words
-
will have power, then we want to make sure the words we're saying
-
are going to be as powerful as possible for us, not against us.
-
Because you all know you can get around someone who's negative
-
and it's amazing how much of a drain they can be.
-
You get around. Someone who's negative and it's
-
just like you see them coming down the hall and you're like.
-
What's the problem today? All right.
-
Like you already know. There's gonna be something like
-
no wonder there's never change. Every morning you wake up
-
wanting to be angry. Like, what do you?
-
Some of you might just need to have a morning confession.
-
Tape it on your mirror. Say it whether you're mean it or
-
not. Say it so repetitively that it's
-
eventually sinks into your spirit.
-
Then you do mean it, right? Because if we believe our words
-
have changed and we want to be finding as much to speak about
-
as possible, as much to confess about as possible, some of us
-
are just a a simple mind shift away from having so much things
-
open up in our life. If we can just start confessing
-
something a little different, or just start confessing something
-
we haven't been. This is why it's so important to
-
watch what you are saying and to watch what you got being put
-
inside of you. Like I said, I want to be so
-
filled with something that it has to come out.
-
I want to be so filled with something that is all that can
-
come out. And look, I've seen movies.
-
I've seen a lot of movies. I can probably quote movies
-
right up underneath how much I can quote the Bible.
-
So it's not like I'm saying you got to spend all your time just
-
praying in the Spirit instead of doing anything else.
-
But my point is, are you prioritizing it at least enough
-
that it's there? Are we putting enough emphasis
-
or are we just giving it Sunday, Wednesday emphasis?
-
Because I'm telling you now, Sunday, Wednesday emphasis on
-
the word will only help you with surface problems.
-
Like Pastor said, a whole lot of time.
-
That's only, what, 234 hours out of your whole week?
-
Out of your whole week. So we got to be making sure
-
we're putting the word in us outside of just this one time of
-
just this two times a week. Look, I'm telling you, I don't
-
want to be a quiet king. I don't want to have an empty
-
echo. I want to be able to speak words
-
of life into my life and those around me.
-
I want to be able to speak words of life into people, not even in
-
this building right now. I want to speak words of life
-
that that resounds into generations.
-
I want to speak words of life that impact my kids, that impact
-
their kids, that impact their kids.
-
I hope when I have great grandkids one day they go, well,
-
well, great, Papa Chase used to say, because my words have
-
resounded so much further past my own life, you can have a
-
resounding you can have a reigning resonance that impacts
-
so much further than you if you're willing to start stepping
-
out and speaking. You know, we sit back and we
-
think about all these greats in faith and greats in the Bible
-
and these historical accounts that happen and all this kind of
-
stuff. We're like, wow, look how it's,
-
you know, impact their lives. And we got to think man, what is
-
my resonance? What will be spoken of me in the
-
history? I really didn't, you know,
-
appreciate all that. Maybe it's not the world
-
history, but maybe it's just your family history.
-
But how will you be spoken of in your family history?
-
When we look back we say man, he had so many see growing up as a
-
pastor's. I got so young.
-
As I got older, I realized how much word and opportunity I had,
-
you know? And so, like, now I always
-
people like, oh, how is this, you know, how is it going with,
-
you know, Pastor Earl on this thing or going here?
-
And I'm like, honestly my favorite moments.
-
That I get to be a part of are when we go to the dinners or we
-
go to the and you can just sit back and be like a fly on the
-
wall and hear these ministers who have been doing it for so
-
long and just all these little bits.
-
That they drop, that you can just start to absorb.
-
And I didn't realize how impactful that not only has been
-
on my my personal life, but then even into like my parenting
-
style. And so all these kind of why?
-
Because I realized, man, I'm getting to sit around these
-
people that are so. Filled with the word just in
-
random conversation that isn't even about the Bible, they're
-
dropping these spiritual Nuggets because it's just all that flows
-
out of them. Right.
-
You sit at this table in your eyes, man.
-
I'm picking up so much that they might have been doing for the
-
last 30 years that this conversation probably means
-
nothing to them. They're just having a good time.
-
And I'm like, man, I can apply this now.
-
I can see change now, you know? And so you sit down and you
-
think, man, those words they're speaking are resounding past
-
them without them even realizing it.
-
Because here's the thing, every word you speak has the ability
-
to resound past due period. So are you saying things you
-
don't mind your kids hearing, or are you dropping things that's
-
resonating in them, that you don't realize how much it's
-
resonated in them? That's why we got to watch what
-
we say sometimes, too. I'll never forget when I was,
-
you know, or my oldest daughter was younger.
-
We had a dog and I don't remember what happened.
-
It was like a small dog or something like that.
-
I hate small dogs. Don't understand the point of a
-
small dog, right? They're just always in the way.
-
They bring nothing to the table. What is the point of a small
-
dog? Don't get it right.
-
So I'm walking through the house one day and I step on the dog
-
and I trip because it's a small dog and like you kind of feel
-
it. So you know, so you do that kind
-
of half step thing because you don't want to crush it.
-
Something like you kind of fall. And like as I fall, I kind of
-
like kick back because I'm trying to.
-
The dog goes flying across the hallway and I'm angry.
-
So I like, punch the wall kind of on my way down.
-
And I look over and my daughter staring at me and I realized
-
really quickly it looks like I just punted this dog across the
-
room and punched the wall. So I was like man, And she's
-
just so I look at her and I was like, will you please forgive me
-
for being angry In this moment I lost my temper even though I
-
really didn't kick the dog. I realized she saw it and there
-
was probably no real explaining away how it looked when the this
-
like £5 dog goes slinging into a door and running away.
-
So I went like picked up the dog in front of her and like let her
-
know like hey mean I love this dog.
-
So excited, I drove 5 hours to pick this thing up, right?
-
Let me put it back now. Why?
-
Because I realized I had the ability now for my daughter to
-
have a thought about me that would stay with her whether it
-
was a big deal or not because it's amazing what impacts kids.
-
Man, I'll know. I we took, we went to Downtown
-
Disney one day, just me and my wife.
-
We were like celebrating anniversary something.
-
So we want to get our kids something.
-
So obviously like, you know, like good parents.
-
I went in and it's Downtown Disney.
-
So I spent like $150.00 on a bracelet made of plastic, right?
-
You're like, she's going to love it and you're going to love this
-
thing. I'm going to be a great parent.
-
And then I had like changed. So I also did like the little
-
quarter roll thing where the penny comes out, You know, it's
-
like $0.75 for a penny. What a markup that is.
-
So I come back, I give her the bracelet and I give her the
-
penny. She loses the bracelet in an
-
hour but can't shut up about this penny.
-
I could have saved so much money if I just would have got the
-
penny right? But the truth is you don't know
-
sometimes what is gonna make the most impact on them, what
-
they're gonna and most of you if your parents, you realize this,
-
you ask like, oh, how was the, you know you go on like a big
-
family vacation. Like what?
-
Was your favorite part. And then they tell you, like
-
that was your favorite part. Like we did all of this, and the
-
extra cheesy popcorn is the most memorable thing you have.
-
Right. But that's why it's so important
-
that we're paying attention to what we're putting out because
-
we don't always realize the positive or negative side of
-
what it is. And so when we talk about having
-
a reigning residence and you're going to have what you say, then
-
we want to be taking captive all of our words to making sure what
-
we're saying is going to be the most impactful.
-
That I'm placing my word in the opportune places to enact the
-
most change possible, and I'm not letting myself slip when
-
pressure starts to come. Because here's the thing, when
-
you start speaking a word, pressure will come.
-
Because obviously the enemy doesn't want everything to be
-
accomplished. But it's because you keep the
-
word inside you that you push through that pressure, and then
-
you hold on to those things and you look back on his
-
faithfulness and you say, man, look how far I've come on my
-
walk with God. This would have probably
-
stumped, you know, made me stumble a year ago.
-
Now it's not even a thought, right?
-
Has anyone progressed to a point that you have an unexpected bill
-
or unexpected something come up and then in your mind you're
-
just like, this is nothing. I've seen God's faithfulness way
-
beyond this. I can handle this thing.
-
I've seen God's faithfulness so much in my life.
-
This isn't even a thought for me.
-
I'm just going to put a word on it and get moving.
-
I'm just going to put a word on it and move on to the next thing
-
because I'm not going to let it try to get me off course.
-
I'm not going to let it apply pressure.
-
It doesn't need to because I got word available for it.
-
And then you realize you get so much word build up that when
-
something even try can't even apply pressure because the word
-
is just right there. The word is just right there,
-
you know, like I said, I like movies and I find myself
-
sometimes quote movies with the family.
-
You know, sometimes I say something real quick.
-
I'm pretty quick, pretty fast with the comebacks.
-
I'm pretty quick with like recalling things and sometimes
-
do that. But at the same time, I also
-
have realized that now and I think, you know, this is God,
-
you know, showing me something I've realized in conversation.
-
Sometimes I I give like a. Scripture real fast or a
-
scripture comes to mind super fast.
-
I'm like that was fast that recall was.
-
Quick Why? Because I put it there for the
-
Holy Spirit to pull on it. Some of us are wanting the Holy
-
Spirit to try to pull on things you haven't put in.
-
The Holy Spirit can recall it to you if you've put it there to be
-
recalled. So it's on us to put things
-
there to be recalled, right? So like I said, are we having a
-
reigning resonance or an empty echo?
-
Ephesians 320 says now to him, who is able to do far more
-
abundantly beyond all that we ask or think.
-
Then you can come up according to the power that works.
-
Within us, not only is God going to make His word happen, He will
-
show up far beyond what we thought He could even be
-
accomplished. Come on, that should be a little
-
bit more exciting, right? God is not only going to
-
accomplish the thing he said, but he can go far beyond that
-
which he said he would. Like I said, what are we saying?
-
Because some of the stuff we need is just a couple sayings
-
away from something far and beyond showing up.
-
Some of the stuff we're going through, we're just a couple
-
speaking the word away from God, showing up far beyond what we
-
could have imagined from God, taking it to a place we didn't
-
even think was possible. So I want to ask today, do we
-
have a raining resonance? Do we have a raining resonance
-
or have we let it start to fade as the year has gone on?
-
No, I'm not going to let my word fade.
-
I'm going to end this year strong.
-
And maybe there's some things you were speaking on in January
-
that you didn't see by February. So you stop speaking on that.
-
You need to pick back up right now so that we can see it before
-
the end of the year because I'm not going to let something take
-
away a word from me. I'm not going to let time Get Me
-
Out of where God wanted me to be because I'm going to open my
-
mouth. I'm going to start speaking life
-
into this problem. I'm going to start speaking life
-
into this situation. I'm going to start speaking life
-
into my kids. I'm going to start speaking life
-
into my family. I'm going to start speaking life
-
into my job. I'm going to start speaking life
-
into those around me. I'm going to start speaking life
-
into whatever it is you got going on.
