  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. I want to share with you some

  4. just some stuffs have been stern in me some things that Pastor

  5. said recently that I thought interesting I need to look into

  6. that so. Been looking into that let's

  7. let's see what and we'll have some other show up and said they

  8. were coming so all right let's pray Father we thank you and

  9. praise you for opportunity to come together and and for the

  10. purpose of we understand this group is wanting to come

  11. together to hear how you operate in the earth and the Kingdom

  12. environment concerning business. Father, I praise you and I thank

  13. you that as we just take a look at a few things in your

  14. scripture this evening that we'll get just get something new

  15. that we'll be able to meditate on.

  16. We'll be able to continue to grow in.

  17. And we want to thank you in advance for the outcome of this

  18. evening. We'll give you praise for it in

  19. Jesus name. Amen.

  20. Amen. Pastor made a comment the other

  21. night and he was referring to, and I'm going to be referring to

  22. it if you brought a Bible or your digital device.

  23. You know, I'm still trying to get a campaign started on paper

  24. Bibles. But anyway, the 25th chapter of

  25. Matthew, we have a story that we have heard dozens of time.

  26. You've been with me for any amount of time.

  27. You've heard these this this particular parable that Jesus

  28. told dozens and dozens of times and and he made a comment.

  29. And then I just started looking at some other things that I, you

  30. know I want to I'm going to have a challenge at the end because

  31. you know last month we talked about the fact that.

  32. We've got a whole team going that we need to help going to

  33. India. And I think Pastor told us that

  34. it was $25,000, you know, to buy the airfare for what everybody

  35. he needed to go because they're going to be converting that over

  36. to a Anchor Faith Church India and that they're going to be

  37. doing remodel and different things like that.

  38. So he challenged me to challenge you.

  39. And, you know, and the group that we had last month, you

  40. know, to consider investing in that.

  41. OK, so keep prayerfully considering that and seek the

  42. Lord. I've never had him ever not tell

  43. me if I went to him. And I said, you know, what do

  44. you want me to do about this or what do you want me to do about

  45. that? That he didn't answer me.

  46. And the problem with most believers today and most

  47. business people? They don't spend enough time

  48. asking the world, what do you want me to do other than pay my

  49. bills? OK, and we're going to see.

  50. We're going to see this tonight in this parable.

  51. And then a few things that pastor brought out.

  52. But I'm starting verse 14. Listen to this read along with

  53. me if you're And it says for the Kingdom of God, heaven is as a

  54. man traveling into a far country who called his own servants and

  55. delivered them his goods. He's unto one of them he gave 5

  56. talents to another two to another one, to every man

  57. according as severally his several ability.

  58. And straight way he took his journey.

  59. Then he that received the five talents went and traded with the

  60. same and made them another 5 talents, and likewise he that

  61. had received 2 gained another two.

  62. But he that received one went and dug a hole in the earth, and

  63. he said and he hid his Lord's money.

  64. After a long time the Lord of those servants came back and

  65. reckoned with them. He said, And so he then received

  66. the five talents came, and brought the Lord the other five

  67. talents. Saying, Lord, thou deliverest

  68. unto me 5 talents. Behold, I have gained another

  69. five more. And he said, And his Lord said,

  70. Well done, now, good and faithful servant, you have been

  71. faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many

  72. things. Enter thou into the joy of your

  73. Lord. And he said, He that also

  74. received the two talents came and said, Lord, thou delivers

  75. unto me two talents, And behold, I have gained two other talents

  76. besides them. His Lord said unto him, Well

  77. done, good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a

  78. few things. I'll make you ruler over many

  79. things. Enter thou under the joy of your

  80. Lord. And then he he said that he that

  81. received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you were

  82. a hard man. You report you haven't sown.

  83. You gathered where you haven't strawed.

  84. He said I was afraid and went and hid your talent in the earth

  85. and and low. Is that what is yours?

  86. And he said, the answer. The Lord answered and said unto

  87. him, You wicked slothful servant, thou knewest where I

  88. reap, I reap where I haven't sewn, and gather where I have

  89. not strawed. You should have therefore put my

  90. money with the exchangers. That's.

  91. Old Testament for bank. Anybody relate to that?

  92. OK, bank, He said. Then I would have received mine

  93. own usury, which is interest. OK And he said, for everyone

  94. that has, everyone that has shall be given, and him that and

  95. he'll have abundance, but from him that has not, shall be taken

  96. away even which he had. And he said, he said, cast the

  97. profitable servant into outer darkness, and there shall be

  98. weeping and gnashing a teeth. Several things that I'm going to

  99. cover in here tonight. One of the things that I thought

  100. was interesting. Is that they were all servants.

  101. And one of the things you got to know about a servant is a

  102. servant is well taken care of. A servant doesn't go out and try

  103. to figure out how he's going to get his next meal.

  104. Why? Because his master takes care of

  105. that. So the only job that these guys

  106. had? Was to take whatever the master

  107. gave them and invest it or trade with it to see a profit.

  108. See and and I'm. I'm convinced beyond a shouted

  109. that God's extremely interested in us making profit.

  110. He's extremely interest us making making money upon the

  111. money that we have. But I think it's interesting

  112. because if you do some study on this you'll find out you know a

  113. talent. I've seen so many different

  114. scholars give a a rate to the talent.

  115. OK. And if you got a calculator, we

  116. might play a little bit here just to figure out exactly what

  117. it was. OK.

  118. But they one of the ones that I kind of like that has to deal

  119. with measurements and different things from New Testament times.

  120. A talent basically of silver is £100, OK.

  121. A talent of gold is £200, all right.

  122. So if you took 200, you know and divide it by 16.

  123. All right. Ounces are divided into 16.

  124. How many pounds are in an ounce? All right.

  125. And you get that times. Today we're talking billion, OK.

  126. I mean, a lot of, a lot of lot of money.

  127. Somebody figured that out for me.

  128. OK. Gold price right now, 17, OK.

  129. Seventeen $1800 and you're going to have to flip your phone

  130. sideways. # OK. And he gave them five.

  131. Yeah. Well, times a hundred 500 * 500.

  132. Can you get it? What is it, 21,000 * 500?

  133. Is that right? I mean, you're the dean in

  134. school. You got to know this stuff.

  135. OK, So on five talents. All right.

  136. So he gives it, let's say give him $1,000,000.

  137. All right. This is what I find interesting

  138. because this is how a lot of people at, you know, we, when we

  139. run our businesses and the different things, we're always

  140. looking to find out, you know, what is it, Lord is going to be

  141. our take or maybe we don't find out what is going to be our

  142. take. We just figured that everything

  143. that we have, when we increase it, that's ours.

  144. Okay, I started one time. I started asking the Lord about

  145. that. I said, hey, listen, I've read

  146. enough of your scripture, especially in Matthew chapter 6

    Matthew 6 chapter mention

  147. where he says don't worry about anything.

  148. He said don't be concerned about, you know, what you're

  149. gonna eat, what you're gonna drink, what you're gonna wear,

  150. he said the the people of the earth or the world they seek

  151. after that stuff, he said. But your Father, your Father in

  152. heaven knows what you have need of before you ask.

  153. Now the the biggest problem we have is that we have, we have

  154. basically succumbed to a culture, all right, all of us,

  155. when we were kids, what did they tell us?

  156. They said go to school, get good grades so that you can get

  157. accepted into college. And when you get into college,

  158. you're going to pick a trade, you're going to pick some kind

  159. of of skill or you're going to do something in college.

  160. You're going to get that degree and hopefully you're going to

  161. find you a job. All right.

  162. That's going to allow you to do that and you can work for that

  163. company and once you get to the age of retirement, they'll give

  164. you a gold watch, throw you a party and you can collect Social

  165. Security. And we've all bought into that.

  166. I mean as far as that's the way we were raised and and and you

  167. know I know my my dad, I know my inlaws, the different they

  168. basically work for a company that had a debt defined benefit

  169. program. Right.

  170. They stopped in 74. They stopped the defined benefit

  171. program. Companies did.

  172. Why? Because people were out living

  173. their money. And so you know the major

  174. corporations today, GM, Cocacola, all these May I BM all

  175. these companies are billions and billions of dollars in debt

  176. because of the benefit program. They promised people to come

  177. work for them that they would have.

  178. My fatherinlaw's in his 90s, hadn't hadn't died yet.

  179. All right, but he's got he he he had a great benefit package from

  180. Occidental or City Service Oil. All right, my motherinlaw.

  181. She worked for Southwestern Bell from 18 to dear Lord, 40 years

  182. that she worked for Southwestern Bell and the telephone got a

  183. great defined benefit package. Right, 174, they stopped that

  184. and said, you know what we're going to do now is that if you

  185. want to invest in your own retirement, we'll match your

  186. dollars. So you have a 401K and it's, you

  187. know, it's a great tool until the market goes and then your

  188. 401K turns to a 2O and 1/2, right.

  189. Because I I've, I've talked to so many people about that they

  190. they, you know, they'll come up to me and they'll say man, what

  191. did you do? I said I got out of the market.

  192. I mean, right before it hit, thank you, Jesus.

  193. You know, he goes, man, I lost half my savings.

  194. I go, yeah, you will because it's tied to a market that you

  195. don't have control over. You know, I had one man that he

  196. worked for Pepsi his whole life and he had like 400,000 and and

  197. back in 2008, I guess it was when the the housing market

  198. crashed and everything like that, the market went down.

  199. He lost half of it and it affected him physically.

  200. I mean, I I was, I was shocked. Heart attack, you know, and I'm

  201. thinking, man, you were tied up pretty close to that, you know,

  202. to have that kind of effect on you physically.

  203. I mean, you know, I, he may have been a bad eater, I don't know.

  204. But you know, the thing was it affected him and and to the day

  205. that he died, you know, he was just distraught about that.

  206. And see, that's a violation. Of what Jesus said how we're

  207. supposed to, you know, how we're supposed to consider how we're

  208. supposed to view, how we're supposed to take care of our

  209. finances. And so, you know, when I was

  210. reading this, I said, you know, Lord, I said you got these guys

  211. and when they came to you because it said he came to

  212. reckon with them. That is an accounting term.

  213. I need to see your books. And and and you, you all have

  214. been with me long enough to know that if you don't have a set of

  215. books for your own home. You you are missing out on

  216. opportunities that God could be giving you because if you don't

  217. know where your money is going, why would he give you anything

  218. of substantial amounts? He won't.

  219. And and and years ago I figured it out because for seven years,

  220. the first seven years and next month I'm thinking about having

  221. a party. I want to talk to Duncan about

  222. that. I My business in Oklahoma has

  223. been in business for 40 years, the 1st of October 2023. 40

  224. years still going today. Still got people you know

  225. working it making more money than I did way back because we

  226. just got better systems now. But you know in in taking a look

  227. at you know Lord I'm I'm I'm kind of getting an idea of what

  228. you wanted done when it came to the fact that you gave me a

  229. talent and my talent was sign making.

  230. I mean, I I went to college for semester and a half freaked me

  231. out. I ran away, got out, didn't I?

  232. I I said I can't stay here. I said this is the weirdest

  233. place I've ever been in my life. And I I was gone.

  234. I went and got a job and it was at a commercial screen printing

  235. firm and I learned the trade from them and and then I had

  236. another opportunity right before Melanie and I got married.

  237. We got married in June. We in April.

  238. I went to a another I I needed some money for a honeymoon.

  239. You know, I mean, I'm making $4.00 an hour, man.

  240. That's all that that I was worth back and again 4 bucks an hour

  241. and and so I I met a guy at a Christmas party.

  242. Melanie worked at Southwestern Bell just like her Mama and I

  243. worked at there. And so we went to a Christmas

  244. party and met this young couple that worked with Melanie and he

  245. had a screen printing company and it was called Randy Screen

  246. Printing and he was named Randy. And so he goes, I hear you know,

  247. how to screen print. I said, yeah, I know how to

  248. screen print. And he goes, he goes, you need

  249. any extra work? He says I could use somebody

  250. that would work at night. And I said, yeah, I'll come work

  251. at night. Sure.

  252. You know, so I'm getting married in about 6 months, so I could, I

  253. could accumulate a little bit of money and and go on a great

  254. honeymoon. All right.

  255. I don't know how great it was, but hey, you know as far as he

  256. was in the heels of the Ozark. There wasn't no cruise or

  257. nothing, that's for sure. Anyway, So what was So what was

  258. so interesting is I started working there at night and he

  259. said, man, you really do know what you're doing.

  260. I said, well, I took this in high school and I said I'm just

  261. went from job to job, you know, always looking for the bigger

  262. buck, right? You know, as far as I got a lot

  263. of hobbies, but I don't work. For, for for free, okay I'm

  264. going to, I'm going to look and find those areas that I can I

  265. can excel in. And so anyway he came in the

  266. second night, my second night there and he said, he said how

  267. much would you have to have to come work for me full time.

  268. And I said man you know I love where I'm at.

  269. I mean, you know, and I said I couldn't come for less than 6

  270. bucks an hour and he said. Shoot, we've never paid nobody

  271. those 6 bucks an hour, I said. Well, you asked, you know, next

  272. night he comes in, he said, I talked to my partner and we'll

  273. pay you 6 bucks an hour, but you got to give your notice

  274. tomorrow. I don't want to give no notice.

  275. I said, but 6 bucks an hour. And I went to that man and I

  276. said, can I talk to you? Which he knew something was up

  277. because I never wanted to talk to him.

  278. And I went into the, I went into the the kitchen where we had our

  279. lunches and everything. And I said, man, I've got

  280. another opportunity. He goes, well, really I go,

  281. yeah, tshirt company needs a manager and you know I've been

  282. working at night. There he goes, you're going to

  283. give me a chance to counter. I said if you can pay me 601,

  284. I'll stay. And he goes can't do it.

  285. He said I can't do it, and he said that's way above the

  286. budgets that we have. And I said okay.

  287. He says, let me tell you something, He said I don't care

  288. where you go, you will never, you will never stay there very

  289. long. He says one day you will open

  290. your own place. And I go, who wants to do that?

  291. I have no desire whatsoever. I don't even know what in the

  292. world would be going on. And sure enough, year and a half

  293. later I opened my own place, and it's called Clay Sarah Graphics

  294. at that time. And that is the same company

  295. that's still going today. But I've learned a lot, OK.

  296. I've been everywhere. You can imagine financially.

  297. I have visited with dozens of IRS people.

  298. All right. You know, bank people, all

  299. right. And just you know, and and some

  300. of them visits weren't real good, you know, but you you know

  301. the The thing is is that you've got to trust the Lord.

  302. To take care of those things You can't.

  303. That's why I'm such big on tithing.

  304. If you go to Malachi 310, you've heard me teach it many, many

  305. times before Malachi 310. He goes in there.

  306. He says, bring all the ties into the storehouse, that you might

  307. have meat in my house. And then he said, Now prove me

  308. how. Now if I will not open you, the

  309. windows of heaven pour you out of blessing that you'll not have

  310. room enough to receive it. Then he said, I'll rebuke the

  311. devourer for your sake, and he will not destroy your stuff.

  312. And and so there's something about that tithe that is you

  313. give that tithe, it gives you a protection in the marketplace

  314. that you can't get anywhere else.

  315. Because I asked the Lord, I said, what is that all about?

  316. And he said I will take care of the things you can't take care

  317. of. OK.

  318. He said, you know, and and I remember, you know working for

  319. that, you know that first gentleman there and one time

  320. you've heard me tell it before, you know where Melanie and I

  321. were going out this Friday night and I said I got to go.

  322. And he says, well, listen, we need somebody to stay and we

  323. need somebody to do this one job.

  324. And I said, no, I'm not going to do it.

  325. I got a date and he goes, he get and nobody raises their hand,

  326. man. I raised my hand.

  327. I'll do it, you know, call Melanie.

  328. I'll be late, all right. But I'll be there.

  329. I promise. It's Friday night.

  330. I'll be there. And so I man, I work so fast and

  331. so hard. I mean, I know the boss is

  332. thinking, dude, if we could get this guy to perform like this

  333. every day. We wouldn't have to worry about

  334. it, you know? And I mean, I got to go and the

  335. boss came back and I had just got an understanding about

  336. tithing and and understanding the master requires us.

  337. It's a requirement. It's a standard in the Kingdom

  338. of God to give the 110th. It's a standard, all right.

  339. Don't violate the standards. And so when I gave that, you

  340. know, I started tithing and I started seeing, you know,

  341. because I started out less than $4.00 an hour.

  342. But I tied my way. I said, Lord, I want $4.00 an

  343. hour. So I'm going to give you this

  344. much a week and to get that. And sure enough, got called in,

  345. got the raise that I was wanting, all right?

  346. It just wasn't enough to get married on, I can tell you that,

  347. right? I figured that out real quick.

  348. And I remember that night Boss said he comes back there and he

  349. he he says, man, he says, I so appreciate you Randy staying

  350. tonight because we just didn't have time Monday to get it done.

  351. We have to do it this weekend and if you can just get it

  352. printed, we'll take care of the rest.

  353. And you know, my son Jim, he's over here.

  354. He'll get it all cut down. And it was just a little bitty.

  355. It was a little sticker job is all it was, commercial sticker

  356. job. And so I remember, you know, I'm

  357. cleaning up, I am slinging stuff everywhere, tiles are flying,

  358. ain't being cleaned up. I'm getting it all done.

  359. And what does he do? He comes back there and he says,

  360. he said, hey, I know that you've been dating a little girl in

  361. Sand Springs. He said.

  362. Let me give you something and let it buy you a hamburger and

  363. maybe a movie. Okay.

  364. I I didn't even look at it. I said thanks, I appreciate

  365. that. Put that in my pocket because I

  366. got a date, I got to go and I am cleaning the whole bit.

  367. Well, I'm almost done in the sun.

  368. Jim. He comes over and he says I saw

  369. Dad give you something, what he give you.

  370. And I pulled it out of my pocket and it was a check for 50 bucks.

  371. Now in 1981 you could go a lot of movies and eat a lot of

  372. burgers for 50 bucks. And you know what he said?

  373. He said. Man, I don't believe it.

  374. My dad has never given anybody a bonus check ever, I said.

  375. And the Lord when I got out to the car, reminded me, he said I

  376. will control those things you can't if you'll just tithe.

  377. And I told her I said man and and even when Melanie and I, you

  378. know we got married, she goes. Now why is it again?

  379. Because we were both raised Southern Baptist Okay and and I

  380. never heard in one lesson from birth to 18 before I left.

  381. Because I got filled with the Holy Spirit and wasn't welcome

  382. anymore. And they let me know that I

  383. wasn't and I had. I had never heard one message on

  384. Thailand. Not one.

  385. Every year we got a little red card said put on here what you

  386. think you're giving is going to be this year so we can work on

  387. our budget. Well, my dad, I my dad.

  388. I said what dad? What do I put on here and go put

  389. a quarter? OK.

  390. My dad made sure I had 1/4, and there was nothing about no tie.

  391. There was nothing about 10% of nothing every week.

  392. And you know what? If I hadn't heard the message of

  393. the tie, I'd probably still be given 1/4, you know, every year.

  394. You know, say I'll be giving you 1/4 every week.

  395. I'll give you a quarter, you know.

  396. But that's not how we break through in the financial arena

  397. of what God has for us. So I'm thinking about these

  398. guys, Okay. And think about if you're living

  399. in the master's house, so master's gone, Okay.

  400. So hopefully you got enough sense to behave yourself, all

  401. right. But these guys they were had one

  402. mission in their mind is take the finances that their boss

  403. gave them, their employer gave them, their master gave them and

  404. go and increase it. And here's the thing you don't

  405. see them thinking you know what I got to I got to get me

  406. something to eat and take a little bit of that money and get

  407. them something to eat or go and say, man, you know, I got to

  408. get. I got to get the donkey.

  409. Shoeed. I put them shoes on the donkey.

  410. That that was so funny. What it Titus the other day he

  411. goes, he goes, what does that mean to put shoes on a donkey?

  412. I said donkeys have shoes, horses have shoes.

  413. He goes, they do not. I said they sure do.

  414. I said you got to look underneath.

  415. I said it keeps their hoods from wearing out and that's what they

  416. they came up with and it's a great idea.

  417. He goes, is that true? I said Bob ever lied to you?

  418. He goes, that is amazing, Papa. And I said, well you know those

  419. guys, you know, they probably had something they needed to

  420. shoe or they had something they needed to buy.

  421. But there's no indication that they had on their balance sheet

  422. that they went to the master and said, now listen, I doubled the

  423. Bunny, but I had to spend some of it.

  424. They gave him full accounting. They gave him full rendering of

  425. everything. And they didn't go without

  426. because why? They're servants.

  427. And so I got to thinking to myself, what if we challenged

  428. ourselves with a bit of money, And I've already done this, and

  429. I'm going to let you know how it goes in the weeks to come, in

  430. the months to come. And we took some money, you

  431. know, from a closing that Melanie and I had.

  432. And I said I want the Lord blessed us Okay with this this

  433. particular deal. It was it was it was going South

  434. quick Okay and all of a sudden something changed and the the

  435. sellers became extremely gracious and and we had the we

  436. had the house for a long time and and I hate it when that

  437. happens. Okay.

  438. But I know markets. I know that.

  439. You know over a year ago, you know we couldn't keep.

  440. We could not get the sign in the yard and people were lining up

  441. wanting to buy these houses. Now you want to talk about the

  442. good old days. OK.

  443. That was a good old day. But you know, when the market

  444. cooled down in November when nobody's buying houses.

  445. What are we thinking about? We're thinking about

  446. Thanksgiving and we're thinking about Christmas presents and

  447. we're thinking about you know, buying some warmer clothes and

  448. the whole bit. So houses is just not one of

  449. those things that is winter you know desire and and we had this

  450. one house it kept well all of a sudden you know things start out

  451. you know Florida and you know we we got somebody interested they

  452. called us and they want to see the house and they said we want

  453. this house because you know 2 doors down is our

  454. granddaughter's best friend and and we want this house and it

  455. worked out. I mean it was unbelievable and

  456. you know, and well it is believable because we sure did

  457. pray a lot about that and so we got that done.

  458. But it but the thing was, is that I said, you know, father, I

  459. said you you're giving me a talent so to speak, not a talent

  460. to accomplish something. But you gave me some money and I

  461. said I am going to invest that money and and guess what I'm not

  462. going to invest it in though anything the world has to offer

  463. because this is what I found out.

  464. We got people in our church and I found out about some needs and

  465. I'm going to make investment in the need because he tells us

  466. that, which I think is interesting because these guys,

  467. you know, they when they they came to the master, it was Full

  468. disclosure. Look what we did.

  469. We gained this and they got the pat on the back, right?

  470. He said well done, you are a good and faithful servant.

  471. But then he gets to the guy with the one and what does he do?

  472. He hides it. And he said, you know, you're

  473. just a tough guy. And so you know that the

  474. comparison here is, is the father, right?

  475. The father is who the the man was in the story.

  476. The man is the the man that that was the nobleman or the the guy

  477. that had his servants is our father.

  478. And he is the one that truly blesses us.

  479. And when he gives us instruction, here's the problem.

  480. Catch this. The reason that we don't see

  481. more happen is we don't spend time asking him what needs to be

  482. done. So I made a change and we did

  483. this a long time ago, is that we don't pay our bills until we

  484. seek the Lord and talk to the Lord about there's going to be

  485. stuff we know, man. We get, you know, you got, you

  486. know, payments to make, you got commitments that you've made the

  487. different things there. I mean, the first thing comes

  488. out, always a tie. That's the first thing.

  489. We don't have to ask God, what do you want to do?

  490. We know, all right. But when it comes to offering

  491. and finding out, I said, you know, Father, show us somebody.

  492. Next thing you know, here comes a need that is, is bigger than

  493. what we've usually gotten involved in.

  494. And I told him, I said, I I'm, I'm going to invest that.

  495. We're going to invest it. Because here this guy, the one

  496. that had the one talent, he didn't, he didn't do anything

  497. with it. And I thought it was interesting

  498. that, you know, while he was in, the thing that Pastor said kind

  499. of shook me for he's still living off the master.

  500. The master gave him that. And he said according to their

  501. several ability. So he said, man, you can handle

  502. five, you can handle 2, but you're going to handle one.

  503. Well, there's probably a reason that he got the one.

  504. But the thing was, is that he was afraid because he said, you

  505. know, you're a hard master, you did all that, but he didn't mind

  506. living off of it. And sometimes that's what we

  507. find ourselves doing when it comes to God giving U.S.

  508. financial assignments is that we're more concerned about what

  509. about us. And Matthew 6 is full about what

  510. about us? He said take no thought.

  511. Then he goes on to say take no thought saying because people

  512. they're talking all the time. You know, they're saying well

  513. what are we going to do about this or what are we going to do

  514. about this? What are we going to do about

  515. this? And I, and you know over the

  516. last couple of years I mean I have been at such peace when the

  517. when I had the high times and the low times, I just, you know,

  518. I said he's going to take care of it.

  519. I don't know how. And and you know the the one of

  520. the greatest days of my life was when I stopped trying to figure

  521. out how you're going to do it because I could come up with a

  522. dozen ways. You know, I need to make this

  523. investment here. I need to do this here or I

  524. could go to make this here or whatever the case may be and and

  525. and come up with a way that you know, I'm fairly sharp.

  526. But you know what we need to find out from him what needs to

  527. be done. Now here's the thing that the

  528. guy that with the one missed, he said you should have taken it

  529. and put it in the bank so that when I came at least I'd have

  530. interest on the money. Now hopefully the interest is a

  531. whole lot better than it is now right per you know I don't know

  532. how much it is now to a couple percent whatever.

  533. Even money market funds you know stuff like that.

  534. But he said even if that would have been an increase and he

  535. called that dude wicked and lazy and slothful and and sent him

  536. out and I think it's interesting because he said he said cast him

  537. out and he said and where he's going will be weeping and

  538. gnashing of teeth. I love Rick Renner has a he, he

  539. said. He didn't send him to hell.

  540. Okay weeping and gnashing a teeth was a place of torture.

  541. And what they did was on the other side of the wall from the

  542. cities, they had the dump okay where they threw discarded food,

  543. discarded stuff like that. Animals, wild animals would

  544. come. And when they punished, you

  545. know, criminals, they hung them over the wall and and in pitch

  546. black dark they could hear the lions and the tigers and the

  547. bears, all right, eating and rummaging and doing stuff.

  548. And they said that they would be so scared at that that they

  549. would, they would, they would just grind their teeth down.

  550. And they said that's why they said they called it the

  551. gnashing, the the gnashing of teeth is that that that

  552. punishment that they gave them. And the next morning they said

  553. when they took, brought them back up because most of them

  554. didn't get eaten, he said. But when they brought him back

  555. up, most of them had lost their mind from fear.

  556. And he said, he said, And I thought, man, that's that's

  557. pretty heavy duty punishment for messing, you know, messing

  558. around with, you know, the Lord's funds.

  559. And I said, I don't think I want to involve myself with that.

  560. All right. I want to make sure that I'm

  561. doing right. And I think it's interesting

  562. another point that I'd heard when it came down to, you know,

  563. one of Titus Papa, Tell me a story and it's always a Bible.

  564. Tell me a Bible story. And I told him the story of An

  565. and I and Sapphires out of Acts Chapter 5.

    Acts 5 chapter mention

  566. You remember this story that there was everybody was selling

  567. their stuff and they were bringing it and laying it before

  568. Bartholomew or Barnabas was one of them.

  569. He was called the Son of Consolation.

  570. He brought, he sold a piece of land.

  571. He was from Cree, the the island, and he sold some land

  572. and brought the money and said it before the apostles.

  573. And the apostles took the money and they divided it amongst

  574. everybody. So everybody there was, there

  575. was some tough times going on in Jerusalem at the time.

  576. And they all came and they what they had, they brought.

  577. And there was a couple that as the the account tells us, they

  578. wanted to, they wanted to get the accolades that apparently

  579. Barnabas got. And so they sold a piece of

  580. properly and they bought it but the property.

  581. But they, they said, they came in and said, you know, we sold

  582. this property and here's the money.

  583. And the Holy Spirit spoke to Peter and said, that's not the

  584. money. He said that's.

  585. And they. And so Peter goes, did you know?

  586. He said, huh, he waits and they come back in later.

  587. And the husband comes in and. And and he said, did you sell

  588. the house from this month? And he goes, Oh yeah, that's

  589. what we sold it for. And he says, why did you decide

  590. to lie to the Holy Ghost? And he dropped dead.

  591. Then his wife came in three hours later and he asked her the

  592. same question. She's kind of probably looking

  593. for her husband, you know, and says, did you all sell up for

  594. this much? Is it?

  595. Yeah, we did. We sold it for that much.

  596. He said, why did you and your husband conspire see these guys

  597. that are just now coming back in?

  598. Well, they buried your husband and they're going to bury you.

  599. And she drops dead. All right.

  600. So Titus is telling this story in class.

  601. People are saying, somebody said, is that true?

  602. I said, yeah. I said I'm glad the Lord don't

  603. invoke that story again. You know, when people were

  604. telling that they're doing certain things with their money

  605. that they shouldn't be doing and being able to find out, father,

  606. what is it that you want us to do now?

  607. If you go back to chapter, let's let's talk about because the

  608. thing that a lot of people are talking about the second coming

  609. of Christ right now, you know and and and you know if the word

  610. does not show up this month. And and what is funny is Pastor

  611. Huffman was talking to some of us one day and he said, listen,

  612. if if the Lord does not show up in during Rosh Hashanah, which

  613. is a feast of the Lord, it's called the Feast of Trumpets.

  614. If he does not show up within you got another year.

  615. That's what he believes and his books talk about that and and so

  616. you know every Rosh Hashanah, man.

  617. I'm wondering is it trumpet going this year?

  618. Because I'm more excited about leaving now than I ever have

  619. been. All right, I said because let's

  620. get on with this, All right. You know you got 7 years coming

  621. and it's going to be bad, you know, and and we got we need to

  622. be praying for some people. But one of the things that years

  623. ago there was a man that wrote a book and the book was titled 88

  624. Reasons Why Jesus is Coming in 1988.

  625. Anybody ever heard of that? Did you hear about that book?

  626. He was on national television about it, you know, some of the

  627. big PTL and different stuff like that.

  628. And he had this all mathematically worked out.

  629. All right, Well, Jesus didn't show up in 88 or 89 or 90 or 91.

  630. I mean, you know what I'm saying?

  631. OK. But the thing was, is that my

  632. pastor, David EMI at the time, he had a he waited.

  633. He never said nothing. He didn't say anything and then

  634. when it all passed and the time and that's when you know, you

  635. know it was September is supposed to happen all this

  636. stuff. And he said, he said what about

  637. the end times and preaches A sermon and I'll never forget it.

  638. I'll never forget the scripture that he used.

  639. It's because it's a it's in the 24th chapter, 45th verse of

  640. Matthew, just just over there. And he said in verse 45.

  641. In in chapter 24, verse 45 he says this.

  642. And and and what did he call? What did he call the guys that

  643. handled the talents, right. He called them good and

  644. faithful. OK, well done.

  645. Now good and faithful. Well Jesus tells you, He said

  646. who is the faithful and wise servant?

  647. Verse 45, chapter 24 Who is the the faithful and wise servant?

  648. Who the Lord has made ruler over his household to give them meat

  649. in their season? Blessed is that servant.

  650. When the Lord comes and finds him, so do we.

  651. The question that we have to ask is that are we more concerned

  652. about our brothers and sisters, fellows, servants, than we are

  653. about ourselves? Are we seeking the Lord to ask

  654. him? What is it that we need to do

  655. what you know? I've told people before, I said,

  656. listen, just walk around with your ears open, you're bound to

  657. hear something. The Lord will let you hear

  658. somebody talking about something that they, you know, something

  659. went out, refrigerator, something, something.

  660. And he said, and I I love this. He said giving meat to them in

  661. their due season. He was talking about, he was

  662. talking about feeding them okay, basically.

  663. It's what that in context is about.

  664. But there's a whole lot of other things that people need just

  665. besides food. And this is what happened one

  666. year. I was having really, really

  667. rough quarter and I I got mad and I told the Lord I said,

  668. listen, I've done everything you said to do.

  669. Don't ever say that. He will correct the for sure.

  670. And I said, listen, I said apparently if you're not going

  671. to answer any of my prayers, that's what I said.

  672. I said, apparently if you're not going to answer any of my

  673. prayers, then I'm not going to pray for myself anymore.

  674. But I know some people that have needs bigger than mine.

  675. I'm going to start praying for them.

  676. Is that Okay? This is this is October of this

  677. given year. Okay notoriously the last two

  678. months of the year are very, very slow.

  679. That year was the biggest harvest financially I had ever

  680. experienced. And and and I go back and I know

  681. exactly why because I was praying for my brothers and

  682. sisters and not concerned about me.

  683. And once I get my mind off of me am I get my mind on my brothers

  684. and sisters. That's what gives God the

  685. opportunity to get us increase and help us.

  686. You know I want to think about those guys that had the talents.

  687. The first question I'd ask myself is how did they know how

  688. to trade that money and gain that kind of money?

  689. I mean, did they just get out there and fling it and hope it

  690. worked? I think they probably were

  691. fairly studious and watch their owner or their nobleman or that

  692. man and how he operated. The question is, is that are we

  693. get spending enough time with the Lord to figure out how he

  694. operates, what he wants to see done.

  695. Because their whole mindset was he's given us this money, we're

  696. going to make more money and we're waiting on that day of

  697. reconciling. We're going to wait on that day

  698. that when he comes, we're going to be able to present that to

  699. him. There was another story that he

  700. talked about. It was 10 guys with £10 and each

  701. guy got a pound. And the guy, the first guy in

  702. line says, look Lord your pound has gained £10 Now 10 times your

  703. money is more than double. That makes sense.

  704. So God has a way and he gave, He told him the same thing.

  705. He said you've done a great job. He said now I'm going to make

  706. you a ruler. Over 10 cities now.

  707. Pastors preached it so many times letting him know

  708. everything we do here is writing a resume for the next phase of

  709. our lives. I just got a book by Perry Stone

  710. and and it's a it's his brand new book.

  711. It's a brand new book but he says it basically talked about

  712. heading toward your eternity and he said what you what you'll be

  713. doing the next thousand years. And it was great.

  714. I mean he had some he had some really really good testimonies

  715. in there and you know and he's he's he's a Bible he's he's

  716. Bible through and through man. He studied everything and and

  717. and has great great you know insight to different different

  718. things that but he knows the millennial rain.

  719. He knows, you know, all the different things.

  720. And I want to pick the book up because I'm found out I'm taking

  721. eschatology this year in school, so one and two.

  722. And so I'm going to, you know, I'm going to glean a little bit

  723. from them. I've already read the book, but

  724. I gleaned a little bit from it, you know, on the millennial

  725. reign that I didn't have when I taught it before.

  726. But when we talk about the Kingdom, all right, and finding

  727. out that the Kingdom of God in in in its form of understanding

  728. that it works differently obviously than what we have

  729. here. I mean we've been trained in the

  730. world system of finance. We know how, you know you can

  731. get somebody to be a passive investor for you bonds, stocks,

  732. bonds, mutual funds, different things like that.

  733. And but The thing is, is that most of the people that I want

  734. to run with are the ones that hurt God specifically for them

  735. on something he wanted them to do and they got they received

  736. the reward for getting it done. And so you know when we have the

  737. opportunity. I didn't.

  738. My challenge was this is that this next this next month set

  739. yourself a goal to listen and find out who needs what and and

  740. ask the Lord say father can you get me that money to be able to

  741. help them out. Like I said I have never I have

  742. never been in a place that once I asked the Lord for it that I

  743. did not get it. I have never never.

  744. I mean I remember when my pastor David he wanted to write a book

  745. and and he said I said well how much is it going to cost to

  746. publish it to get it done. He says $1000.

  747. I went to the Lord. I said, father, can you give me

  748. $1000 thousand dollars is like 1,000,000.

  749. I said can you give me $1000 so that I can bless him and we can

  750. get this book done? And it wasn't too long,

  751. obviously, because we got the book pretty quick.

  752. But I went to lunch with him and I was able to hand him an

  753. envelope with $10100 bills in it.

  754. He was blown away, you know. I know he wanted to ask me where

  755. did you get that? All right.

  756. But the thing was, is that every time I've asked the Lord, the

  757. Father speak to me, talk to me, help me see where you need these

  758. funds. Because once we take care of and

  759. I've said it before and somebody else got it and printed it in a

  760. book. But the Lord told me, He said,

  761. listen, He said if you'll take care of my business, I'll take

  762. care of yours. That's Bible, that's Kingdom.

  763. He's always wanted us to take care of the things that concern

  764. him and he has no problem taking care of the things that concern

  765. us. And he told us don't worry about

  766. it. He said don't take a thought

  767. saying he said the the world system runs after money, they

  768. run after making money. He said don't let that be part

  769. of your life. He said find out from him what

  770. it is that you need to be doing and then when the money comes,

  771. find out what you need to do with the money.

  772. And he said, because I desire to hear the same thing these guys

  773. did. Well done, you did great.

  774. That's what I want to hear. All right.

  775. So when we when we we we talk about that and I was going to

  776. give you a little bit because tomorrow night I'm ministering

  777. and the Lord's giving me some stuff to minister and.

  778. But one of the things that I'm going to do is I'm going to tell

  779. a little bit of the history of me getting here and what

  780. happened because I was I I was diagnosed with cancer in 2000

  781. and and seven in July. And I decided that being the

  782. great man of faith and power that I wasn't, that I was going

  783. to beat this because I had taught healing and faith for 20

  784. years and I'm going to beat this.

  785. Well, I didn't understand how I got it until I understood that

  786. how I got the cancer. Then I realized you ain't as

  787. sharp as you think. Well that that Thanksgiving the

  788. Lord dealt with me as far as because I always liked on Black

  789. Friday to get along with him and find out what is it that you

  790. need me to finish up. What is it that I need to do?

  791. And he told me two things. He said, one, you're not Kingdom

  792. minded enough. And I had no idea what he was

  793. talking about. I said OK, anything else on that

  794. line? Nothing.

  795. Just you're not Kingdom minded enough.

  796. Second thing he says and he says I just want you to prepare

  797. yourself. I'm going to increase your

  798. teaching ministry. Those two things.

  799. That's all he said. Never forget them.

  800. And so I began to study the Kingdom.

  801. I began to try to get an understanding for the kingdoms.

  802. 2007. All right, 2008.

  803. All right. And that that's November, right?

  804. 7th April, we come here for an anniversary service.

  805. We're over at the old place over on Tree Blvd.

  806. All right. We have a big service.

  807. We're having a couple from Rayma come in.

  808. They're doing the service and Pastor doesn't know what

  809. happened because Pastor is on his face unconscious.

  810. All right. Because he had a word, and he's

  811. read that word to us multiple times on growth, exponential

  812. growth. You don't have 20 years to build

  813. it. Do you all remember hearing

  814. those okay. Well, that came during that

  815. meeting and he was, he the guy with prayed over him in tongues.

  816. His wife gave the interpretation and then he fell out.

  817. And I'm on the front row and I'm.

  818. I'm over here and he's over there and I'm going.

  819. That's awesome. Get him.

  820. Get him Lord and he's. And he's on his knees and he

  821. falls flat on his face and I'm just staring at him.

  822. I'm thinking, what's going to happen, man?

  823. I mean, that's amazing. And I'm standing here.

  824. Next thing I know, I'm not paying attention and the dude is

  825. standing right in front of me and I'm bald by that time, all

  826. right. And he slaps me right in the

  827. head. You can hear it throughout.

  828. The Hulk hits me in the head. And he said, it's about time,

  829. isn't it? And then he starts spraying in

  830. tongues his wife interprets. Nobody, including my wife, knew

  831. what the Lord was dealing with me about.

  832. And and she begins to prophesy not my wife, but the the guest

  833. speaker's wife said it's time to move.

  834. Said there's some things the Lord has been dealing with you

  835. about, and it's now time to start setting that stuff in

  836. motion. Thank you very much.

  837. I thought, oh man. Well, that Thursday night we

  838. went out to eat at Steak and Shake and we had the whole

  839. restaurant, all the kids, everything and pastor.

  840. No, that was the second time we came because we went home and I

  841. didn't say nothing. And everybody was trying to

  842. interpret that word for me. Oh, he must be, you know,

  843. telling you that, you know, there's something in your

  844. company or there's something you're supposed to do, you know,

  845. in the ministry or whatever. It's time to move, you know?

  846. And I knew exactly what he was talking about because he talked

  847. to me about moving down here. And I didn't say nothing because

  848. I was really, I thought, you know, maybe he'll forget about

  849. it. Lord, just forget about it.

  850. Well, I made a mistake and didn't bring my youngest son.

  851. And two weeks later we showed back up down here with him, and

  852. the Lord touched him and he'd always told us y'all ever decide

  853. to move to Florida. You can go alone.

  854. I'll stay with Papa and Grandma here, I said That ain't going to

  855. work for me. I want you coming, man, you

  856. know? And he just and I ain't going.

  857. I ain't going. Well, he comes down here gets

  858. touched by the Lord and and he, he goes down front, talks to the

  859. Lord about some stuff. Then he comes back and he can't

  860. talk. He finally get able to speak

  861. after we get out of church and he says Lord told me that you

  862. guys come down here, I'm supposed to come with you.

  863. I said I'm glad you can listen boy, I'm glad of that.

  864. Well still we had made out and that Thursday we went to dinner

  865. pastor spoke a word over us at dinner and I went to the hotel

  866. room and told Melanie we're moving and she goes, we are, I

  867. go, yeah, we are. I don't know how.

  868. I don't know what we're going to do.

  869. I don't know what to do about the company.

  870. I don't know what to do. We just built a 5000 square foot

  871. house. You know, it was on the market

  872. five years after we moved down here.

  873. Oh, man. I mean, you know, but if I

  874. hadn't moved down here, I'd be dead because, you know, it

  875. wasn't, it wasn't anything but Pastor Earl and the tenacity of

  876. my wife to get me through all of everything that I went through

  877. physically through the cancer and be able to stand here today

  878. to talk to you about it. All right.

  879. But as as we take a look, we have got to be able to spend

  880. time with him on how he wants us to run our companies.

  881. What is it about our company that's better than any other

  882. company? We ought to have the best.

  883. We ought to be the best managers, the best owners, the

  884. best. Why?

  885. Because we have someone living on the inside of us that knows

  886. everything we need to know. Amen.

  887. All right, everybody, good. All right, let's have a word of

  888. prayer. I'll dismiss.

  889. Father, we thank you and praise you that this next month that we

  890. will be sensitive to those around us.

  891. Give us the heart that Jesus had to make sure that as he went

  892. about doing good, as your word says that he was very

  893. philanthropic, that he saw a need.

  894. He just didn't leave them without taking care of

  895. something. Father, we think in praise you

  896. we know had a treasure that was able to do those things.

  897. Father, we just ask right now that you would help us be

  898. sensitive to those around us and and what you have going on and

  899. what you want to see. We want to increase.

  900. If you're going to take care of us, the increase needs to go to

  901. your Kingdom. That's as simple as we can say

  902. it. We know that.

  903. So show us. Show us what we need to do, what

  904. we need to say, where we need to invest, where we need to put

  905. money. And Father, God, you own

  906. everything. It's not ours.

  907. And we want to make sure that we're good stewards because

  908. that's where the accountability comes, that's where the rewards

  909. come as that we take care of what you have given us.

  910. So change our mentality, let us be sensitive to those around us.

  911. Let's be sensitive to your spirit to be able to accomplish

  912. all that you've got for us to do, and we'll give you thanks

  913. for it in Jesus name. Thank you so much for listening
