  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Amen.

  4. So if you have your Bibles turn to Ephesians chapter 2, we're

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  5. going to start in verse one. Ephesians chapter 2, we'll start

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  6. in verse one. And it says this, and you were

  7. dead in your trespasses and sins.

  8. In which you formerly walked according to the course of this

  9. world, according to the Prince of the π, the air, the spirit

  10. that's now working in the sons of this of disobedience.

  11. Among them it says, we too all formerly lived in the lust of

  12. our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind,

  13. and we're by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

  14. But God say. But God, being rich in mercy,

  15. because of his great love with which he loved us even when we

  16. were dead, and our transgression made us alive together with

  17. Christ. By grace you have been saved,

  18. verse 6, and raised us up with Him, and seated us with him in

  19. heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come he

  20. might show the surpassing riches of His grace and kindness

  21. towards us in the King Christ Jesus, So that in or bought for

  22. by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of

  23. yourself. It is the gift of God, not as a

  24. result of work, so that no one may boast.

  25. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ for good

  26. works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we would

  27. walk in them. Now if you go back to the top of

  28. this again, that says you were dead in your trespasses in sin,

  29. verse one in which you formerly walked, you used to have a walk.

  30. There was a former walk. And I like Paul, he said, now

  31. listen, that walk is a former walk.

  32. It's not a today walk. It's an old walk.

  33. We're not supposed to walk that way anymore.

  34. It's a former walk. Say former.

  35. That means we don't. Walk that way.

  36. That's not how we walk. So grace in your life does not

  37. authorize you to keep a former walk.

  38. The grace of God was never designed to keep you in your

  39. former walk, but allows you to go to heaven.

  40. Grace was never designed for that.

  41. Grace was designed to give you a new walk.

  42. I said give you a new walk. So we all had a former walk.

  43. Well, what did that walk look like?

  44. It was according to the course of this world.

  45. Now that's not planet Earth. It's the way the world

  46. functions. It's his ideas.

  47. IT systems, it's behaviors. So again, I don't go to the news

  48. source to determine how I respond.

  49. I don't even go to the doctor to determine how I respond.

  50. I don't go to the government to determine how I respond.

  51. I don't go to the education system to determine how I

  52. respond, live or whatever. I those those were former ways

  53. that I used to do. I don't go according to the

  54. course of this world. So if the world saying everybody

  55. should go this course, you should question that then the

  56. course of this world, he tells us its influence was according

  57. to the Prince of the power of the air.

  58. Now that's not Jesus. I said that's not Jesus, that

  59. Satan who was the God of this world are systems.

  60. Because again, God the Father never lost planet earth.

  61. But how you function the systems, the the, the lifestyle

  62. that was supposed to be on planet earth was given to man to

  63. to run and he was to do it according to the same direction

  64. that God did in heaven. Because in Genesis 126 he said

  65. let it. Let's make man in our image

  66. according to our lightness and let them have dominion.

  67. Let them rule. They're ruling what?

  68. The things of the earth over the earth, meaning over the system,

  69. how the world functions. And man was to have dominion.

  70. But man fell from dominion when he ate the fruit that God told

  71. him not to eat. When he ate the fruit, he

  72. abdicated his throne on earth and gave it to the devil.

  73. The Devil in Luke, chapter 4, The Temptation of Christ says,

    Luke 4 chapter mention

  74. I'll give you all these kingdoms in a moment of time, He said.

  75. I'll give you all these kingdoms where they've been handed over

  76. to me and I can give them to whoever I wish.

  77. So the devil received the kingdoms of the world by from

  78. Adam when Adam ate the fruit that he was not supposed to eat

  79. because when he ate the fruit that God said commanded him not

  80. to eat sin enter the world are rebellion, disobedience, sin

  81. which its wage is death cause sin is simply disobeying.

  82. And when you disobey God, death is to follow.

  83. Are you hearing me? And so we see here that we

  84. walked according to the course of this word, according to the

  85. Prince of the power, the air of the spirit that is now working

  86. where? And the sons of disobedience.

  87. So every human being on the planet.

  88. Although God originally designed them to be children of God, not

  89. all are children of God today. Many are the children of the

  90. devil, and their father is the devil.

  91. In fact, Jesus himself told the religious you are of your

  92. father, the devil. He obviously wasn't talking

  93. about his father. He's not saying we're all God's

  94. loving people. What he said is you are in

  95. rebellion, you're in disobedience.

  96. Your nature is against God, against his way of doing,

  97. against his Kingdom. And by all rights, your father

  98. is the devil because he has sinned from the beginning.

  99. He is, He has fallen cherub, He is being cast out of heaven's

  100. realm. He is an enemy of God and can

  101. never be redeemed. And so he says you're of those,

  102. and that spirit works within the sons of Disobenius.

  103. And then he allows us to know in verse three that we all formally

  104. lived this way. So when we say walk, what we're

  105. saying is how we live. So when you're saying how do you

  106. walk, you're saying, well, how are you living?

  107. So his implication is in which you formerly walked.

  108. He's saying in which you formerly lived.

  109. Because here we are in verse three.

  110. Among them, we too all formerly lived.

  111. This was how we lived and how do we live according to the lust of

  112. our flesh. Whatever our flesh wanted, we

  113. wanted to satisfy it. We wanted to indulge the desires

  114. of the flesh and of the mind and we're by nature not children of

  115. God, but children of wrath, even as a rest.

  116. In essence, this verse three, it could be summed up and all have

  117. sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

  118. So Paul lets us know there was a way.

  119. We used to live our way. We used to walk, it is a former

  120. walk. Then he gets to verse four and

  121. he says, but God Now God has to do something.

  122. God has to do something because God has said something.

  123. God comes back not because he didn't have to, He comes back

  124. because he has to. Because when God said, Let us

  125. make man in our image according to our likeness and let them

  126. have dominion. Now God he we know that is He's

  127. his word, says that he whatever word goes out of his mouth, it

  128. will not return unto him, boy, but it shall accomplish that

  129. which it was sent to do. His word always comes to pass.

  130. So if God is going to have a man in dominion after Adam eats the

  131. fruit, then God's obligated at his own word to bring a plan of

  132. redemption because he created the condition that man would

  133. rule like him in the earth. God rules in the heavens.

  134. He would rule on the earth, it would be heaven on earth, and

  135. God would come down in the cool of the day and talk with him.

  136. They're named different, but their environments are the same.

  137. Heaven and earth looked exactly alike.

  138. No sin is perfect environments and God freely moved through

  139. there no issues. And man freely had relationship

  140. with him and was not afraid of God at all.

  141. But when Adam ate the fruit, things changed and God had to

  142. come down and he said, Adam, where are you now?

  143. We know that. We said this before.

  144. It's not because Adam was good at hide and go seek, covered

  145. himself with leaves and hiding behind trees and the Lord's

  146. like, wow, you're you're really good.

  147. In fact, while my son and I and Pastor Marcy were up in New

  148. York, or Chase went with us because he was our creative team

  149. appointed to document. And he showed me a picture of

  150. Luna. Luna had stayed over at a

  151. friend's house and they were playing hide and go seek and she

  152. was above the washing machine and dryer in the cabinets that

  153. are up there, hidden. They couldn't find it.

  154. Oh, she got in there. Well, I'm sure she had some

  155. help. I don't think she literally gone

  156. there by herself. She probably.

  157. Coerced one of the parents to hide her there so that the

  158. children could not find her. And it worked.

  159. But this isn't God didn't have this problem.

  160. Really. What that means is what position

  161. are you in now? Because I placed you in dominion

  162. and now you're not in Dominion. So that's why God says I'm going

  163. to have to come now. But how?

  164. As a man? Because I've given the earth to

  165. man. Psalms 115 and verse 16.

  166. The highest heavens are the Lord, but the earth He is given

  167. to man, and when God does something, he does it.

  168. And so now this authority has been given to his created man

  169. that was in his image in his likeness, a carbon copy of him.

  170. No sin could rule in this realm as God rules in his realm with

  171. oversight of how he ruled down here.

  172. And when man fell from demeaning, God says, well, since

  173. man fell, a man's going to have to restore it.

  174. And so that means I'm going to have to come, I'm have to send

  175. my son in the form of man. That's why he said that this

  176. woman is going to have a child, so she's going to be a virgin.

  177. She's not going to get the help of man.

  178. Because Man Seed only produces rebellion.

  179. Because now Adam in his fallen state can only produce after his

  180. own kind, and his own kind is not godly, so he produces after

  181. his own kind. So God says I'm going to have to

  182. bring a seed of a different kind.

  183. So the Holy Spirit comes upon Mary and he plants his Son.

  184. And we know this according to Isaiah.

    Isaiah 9 chapter mention

  185. Chapter 9 verse six says a child is born, a son is given, the Son

  186. is not born because the Son always existed.

  187. The Son's always been in the beginning was the Word, the Word

  188. was with God and the Word was God and the Word became flesh.

  189. And verse 14 of the first chapter, John says And that Son

  190. his name is Jesus, right? The word became flesh and we

  191. beheld his glory. That's Jesus Christ.

  192. This only begotten of the Father, It's the Son of God.

  193. So the sons always existed because the words always been

  194. around. And so God clothed the word in

  195. flesh so he could come and restore man, give them the

  196. opportunity. By His grace he enacted an

  197. amendment to His word and said, here's the pathway of escape.

  198. And the pathway of escape requires us to still obey.

  199. Now we could have never been right with God any other way.

  200. No matter how good we live, we were not going to be living

  201. called by nature. We're children of wrath.

  202. But God being rich in His mercy since Jesus who became sin,

  203. although he never sinned, He was a man who knew no sin.

  204. He never said he was the perfect sacrifice so that we when we

  205. call on his name can be born again or born from above,

  206. meaning we get a new nature that now is of God now the last way.

  207. So God being rich in his mercy because of his great love, then

  208. he gets down and tells us, you know again, it's by grace

  209. through face or grace don't work and let's face in operation and

  210. it says not a result of works, meaning we couldn't have done it

  211. without the finished work of Jesus.

  212. But we have to call on the name. We have to believe in our heart,

  213. confess with our mouth. Jesus Christ, Lord, we have to

  214. believe that Jesus came, He died on the third day, was raised

  215. from the dead. His blood was enough to forgive

  216. us of all of our sin. We confess that we are sinners,

  217. although we cannot confess all of our.

  218. We know that we are. We know we're in rebellion and

  219. we say Jesus, we make you Lord. And when we make him Lord, then

  220. the Spirit that was in us dead gets evicted out of this skin

  221. suit and a new one comes on the inside and it's in the likeness

  222. of God. It's in Christ, which means it

  223. doesn't sin because Jesus doesn't sin.

  224. And then the Holy Spirit moves in.

  225. Can I get it? Amen.

  226. The third person of the God had moves in with us and speaks to

  227. our spirit and now it's our responsibility to hear what the

  228. spirit is saying to our spirit and change the way we think.

  229. That's why Jesus said when he preached publicly repent, which

  230. is not a religious word, it just means change.

  231. Your thinking for the Kingdom of God is at hand so when we get

  232. born again we can hear from heaven and now we have the

  233. capacity to live godly in a lost and dying world.

  234. Doesn't matter, right. And when I say lost and die, I'm

  235. just saying a system that's here that will be evicted because the

  236. earth is going to remain. I said the earth is going to

  237. remain. It just be a new earth.

  238. Got to clean it up. So by the time we get then to

  239. Burt let me just get back up to verse a four.

  240. By grace, you have been saved through faith and not of

  241. yourself. Is a gift of God.

  242. That means God did the work that opened an amendment of God as

  243. the king. He has a word and now here's how

  244. you get out of the condemnation or the sentence of death except

  245. Jesus, because Jesus actually paid the price for the death.

  246. Death doesn't escape. It's not like death didn't dealt

  247. with. Jesus's blood deals with the

  248. payment. So when God Forgives you, it's

  249. not like he just forgave. He can forgive because the debts

  250. been settled. God did the work to settle the

  251. debt. It's not like because again, if

  252. God just could say I forgive you, then why didn't he come

  253. down after Adam 8 the fruit? He said.

  254. Where are you? Well, you know, we heard you

  255. coming and we hit ourselves because we were naked, you know,

  256. we were afraid. So we hit ourselves because we

  257. were naked, he said. Who told you were naked?

  258. Did you eat the fruit? I told you not to eat.

  259. And he could have said, Well, son, I'll forgive you.

  260. And this is what how we treat love.

  261. Well, I forgive you. No, no, no, no, no.

  262. Some's got to be paid. Because if all we could just do

  263. is say I forgive you, well, then God could have done that.

  264. But God couldn't do that. Why?

  265. Because. Death's here now.

  266. We got to pay for that. Now God will forgive you because

  267. he settled the debt. Now the debts been paid.

  268. So why can we forgive people? Easy.

  269. Because the debts there, I mean. I mean, the payment for the debt

  270. is there. I mean, how am I going to hold

  271. you an account when he's already settled the account?

  272. And if you ask me to forgive you, well, I don't need a

  273. payment from you. Christ is the payment.

  274. Are you hearing me? But that didn't work with God.

  275. God had to make payment and it took his blood from his own son.

  276. So again, that's don't cheapen forgiveness.

  277. Sometimes I might need to say, you know I can.

  278. I'll forgive you because Jesus's blood paid the price.

  279. For me to do this because a lot of times we'll we'll flippantly

  280. just constantly make mistakes and they're like, well, you got

  281. to forgive me. Well man, how many mistakes you

  282. want to keep making so that the blood's being applied to your

  283. situation? I mean, the blood works, don't

  284. get me wrong, but let's just don't flippantly, you know,

  285. treat the blood of no value like you know, we can just get away.

  286. Because again, you're now walking formerly.

  287. So for my grace you've been saved through faith.

  288. It's not a work of yourself. It's a gift of God, not as a

  289. result of works. So that no one may boast.

  290. But look at this first ten. I'm going to send her in here

  291. for we are his workmanship. OK.

  292. Created in Christ for that's purpose.

  293. So why were you created in Christ?

  294. For us to go to heaven when we die?

  295. Is that what it says? There does not say that.

  296. So why are we selling Jesus this way?

  297. Why are we selling Jesus? Will Jesus die so that when you

  298. so that if you accept him when you die, you get to go to

  299. heaven. God did not create you in Christ

  300. to go to heaven. Now will you go to heaven when

  301. you die? Sure to be absent from the body.

  302. Be present with the Lord. Where is the Lord right now?

  303. He's in heaven. But what if he was down here?

  304. I mean, cuz he's coming back, but at the end of the day, we're

  305. created in Christ or we're born again for good works.

  306. So you're created to do works, but again, it's not work.

  307. So that you get your right with God, or that God, you know, can

  308. say, OK, you know you're right with me and you you earned it

  309. now. No, it's I am now actually good.

  310. My spirit was bad, and all it could do is produce bad fruit,

  311. 'cause a bad tree bears bad fruit.

  312. But now I'm a good tree because I got a good spirit.

  313. It's in Christ. And now I get to bear good

  314. fruit. I'm not good just to be good.

  315. I'm. I'm good to bear good fruit.

  316. And fruit takes work. Now work is just simply

  317. obedience. So we're created in Christ for

  318. good works which got prepared hand before prepared beforehand

  319. so that we would what? Walk in them.

  320. Walk means to live. So in essence, he's saying,

  321. listen, the reason you're born again is so you'll walk

  322. differently. You got a new walk now.

  323. A new life. We have a new life.

  324. Well, a new life begets a new behavior, begets new thinking,

  325. begets a new attitude, begets new reasoning.

  326. But we have to walk in. And I love the word walk,

  327. because at the end of the day, nobody can make you walk but

  328. you, just like God himself cannot make you get born again,

  329. although He's provided the way. It requires you to walk that

  330. out. You to act on the word in

  331. obedience by faith to pull salvation to your skin.

  332. Suit so that you. Get born again.

  333. Same thing to be baptized in the Spirit.

  334. Same thing to be healed. Same thing to prosper.

  335. Same thing to fulfill God's plan.

  336. Because God is not pushing you alone.

  337. He's not dragging you alone. He's saying come follow me, OK?

  338. So there are four points. Then I want to talk about in

  339. this new walk 'cause if you're gonna walk new, the Bible

  340. actually tells us how to walk because he already gave us in

  341. Ephesians our former walk. Now he wants to talk about the

  342. new walk. And when we look at this new

  343. walk, there's a former one that he mentions each time he said,

  344. now this is our new walk. Here was your former.

  345. This is your new Amen. So we want to walk in the new

  346. one. That means we live this way.

  347. This is how we live. It's like breathing.

  348. This is just what we do. It shouldn't be surprising for

  349. us to live this way. Are you hearing me?

  350. Praise the Lord. It shouldn't be surprising for

  351. us to do this. So look at this first one.

  352. It's an Ephesians chapter 5 verse one.

    Ephesians 5 chapter mention

  353. It'd be one through 7 and #1. The first way to walk is to walk

  354. in love. Because up to this point you

  355. could not walk in love at all. Now that doesn't mean you were

  356. walking in hate, because hate is not the opposite of love.

  357. Lust is not hate because God who is love, hates some things.

  358. Love or the love of God can hate some things.

  359. So please do not confuse hate. As bad I'm.

  360. Going to say that again, do not confuse hate as bad, because if

  361. hate is tied to love, it's good. But if hate is tied to lust,

  362. it's bad because lust is bad all the time.

  363. All right. So if he's in chapter 5 verse

  364. one, it says therefore be imitators of God.

  365. Boy, that statement right there along should make you just go to

  366. your knees. So now be imitators of God.

  367. You know how many people. We're not God yet.

  368. Paul, under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, says Be

  369. imitators of him. Imitate him.

  370. Have you ever been to a place where someone can imitate

  371. another person's voice? It sounds like it's just like

  372. them. In fact, my life and I went our

  373. little anniversary cruise funny. The guy that was there actually

  374. used to be a soap opera star and bold and the beautiful.

  375. I can't tell you who he is because I never watched the soap

  376. opera, but he was there and he was doing impersonations.

  377. Now, any modern day impersonation, he did not do a

  378. good job. That's why he's.

  379. On the cruise ship, you understand?

  380. All right, no problem. But anything that was older?

  381. I mean, I'm talking like, you know, 30s, forties, 50s.

  382. I'm not saying he was that old he was born, but he obviously

  383. was around that as a kid. Those shows, man, he could not

  384. those voices out really. Well, you're like, wow, he

  385. sounds just, he was imitating their voice, OK, And here we are

  386. to imitate the imitators of God as beloved children.

  387. So God expects his kids to imitate him.

  388. He doesn't expect his kids to be sorry, center saved by grace, to

  389. act like the rest of the world. But at least they've asked him

  390. into their heart and he's like, well, hold on.

  391. Praise God, you're pathetic. Anyway, You're unworthy.

  392. You're nondeserving. You know?

  393. I mean, I just, you know, it's just a.

  394. Good thing I saved you. That's not the attitude here at

  395. all. That's religion.

  396. That is a lack of responsibility.

  397. That is, not knowing who you are in Christ.

  398. That's walking a former life and trying to say God's got you

  399. covered all right. Just because you couldn't do

  400. anything to be right with God, the minute God did everything to

  401. make you right with him has now empowered you to be an imitator

  402. so you can't imitate. I said you can't imitate.

  403. And they've ever been around. Those who don't want to imitate,

  404. they get mad at those who are imitating and doing a real good

  405. imitation. But then it was like, well, you

  406. could do this too. Then they get all upset and then

  407. they're trying to try to find a fault in your imitation.

  408. Instead of saying you're doing a much better job at me than I am,

  409. can you teach me? Alright, therefore be imitators

  410. of God as beloved children and walk in love.

  411. So the number one is walk in love.

  412. Now again, you can't pick up the religious definition of love,

  413. nor the world's definition of love.

  414. Love is love. That is a world definition,

  415. which many make sense. Love is love.

  416. Well, what's that mean? What does that mean?

  417. Love is love. What's that mean?

  418. That doesn't make sense. Yet people pick it up.

  419. Well, you know, we got a walk in love one.

  420. What does that mean? Because the world and the the

  421. religious church's definition of love is acceptance.

  422. You know and God don't accept stuff.

  423. Love does not accept everything. Love creates a condition so that

  424. all can walk in love means they can walk out the word.

  425. So he says walk in love. Just as Christ also loved you

  426. and look what he did and gave himself up for us and offering

  427. in a sacrifice to God as a frequent aroma.

  428. So walk in love. How?

  429. Just as. Cry.

  430. Here's our imitation. Christ laid down how he wanted

  431. to do it and only did it like the Father instructed.

  432. Jesus said this so clearly in in multiple gospels of the four

  433. gospel he said I do nothing on my own initiative.

  434. Whatever I say or what I speak or what I do, I have first heard

  435. from the Father. In essence, walking in love is

  436. doing what God says. As I said to you before, Adam is

  437. made in the image of God, correct?

  438. Let us make man in our image according to our likeness and

  439. let them have demean over the fish, the sea, yada yada yada,

  440. right? Then he takes man at male and

  441. female, puts them in the garden. They're like God, no sin.

  442. Do they love God now? You would assume that they do

  443. just because they're in his nature.

  444. Yet they're the nature alone doesn't prove that they love

  445. him. There's only one way to prove

  446. that Adam loves God. He has to put an obedience

  447. factor in. It's the only way.

  448. Love cannot be determined any other way.

  449. So he places a tree in the middle of the garden called the

  450. Knowledge of Good and Evil. When he says, Adam, you can eat

  451. from all the other trees, I mean, everything's yours, man,

  452. in this amazing. But the tree of the knowledge of

  453. good and evil you shall not eat, for the day you eat you will

  454. surely die. And as long as he doesn't need

  455. it, what does he prove? I love you.

  456. Now how do we know this? Because Jesus himself said this.

  457. Religion says, well, just love everybody.

  458. But Jesus defines love. And John, he says if you love me

  459. you will keep my word. It does not say if you love me,

  460. you tell me. So let me do a little husband

  461. and wife real quick. You ready?

  462. If you love each other, at some point you're going to do what

  463. each other says. Because it's proving it.

  464. Because how many times have I been around a wife or a husband?

  465. They say they love me, but they never do anything.

  466. I asked. I asked if they could do this,

  467. could do that, and they never do it.

  468. Same thing with your children. Well, I know my kids love.

  469. Do they obey you? Because Jesus did not qualify

  470. love with just. You're born of the family.

  471. OK? Jesus did not qualify.

  472. Love is because you're of the family.

  473. Because you're of the family, Man.

  474. I just love you anyway, no matter what you do.

  475. It's not what it says. So we're going to walk in love.

  476. Then we're going to have to be people who are really good at

  477. being obedient to God's word for our lives.

  478. And Jesus did this. Then it says verse 3.

  479. But immorality and impurity and greed must never even be named

  480. among you, as is proper among Saints.

  481. Now that's old walk. The verse 3 is not walk in love,

  482. it's walk in lust. So verse three saying now you

  483. used to walk in lust, but now you're supposed to walk in love

  484. and there must be no filthiness or silly talk or coarse

  485. gesturing, gesting, which is not fitting but rather giving of

  486. thanks for this you know with certainty.

  487. I said with certainty that no immoral or impure person or

  488. covetous man who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the

  489. Kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with

  490. empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God

  491. comes upon the sins of sons of disobedience.

  492. Therefore, do not be partakers with them.

  493. So what's he saying? He says listen, you can't live

  494. your former life and say you're walking and loving God's love is

  495. with you and sure, don't let somebody tell you that you can

  496. do that and God's OK with it, he said That's deception.

  497. In fact, he reminds us, he says listen, nobody that does these

  498. things will inherit the Kingdom of God.

  499. I don't care if they're walking around saying I have.

  500. She's to come to my heart and save me.

  501. I'm a child of God. I know I'm going to go to heaven

  502. when I die, but they live an immoral, A lustful life.

  503. They walk according to the lust. It's not going to.

  504. Happen now again. What do people say?

  505. Well now, brother, you're saying this is my works.

  506. It is. It's a good work that Christ

  507. gave you a new spirit and put His spirit on the inside of you.

  508. So he expects you to walk it. You have no excuse not to put

  509. away sexual immorality and put away course judge our dirty

  510. talk, cussing, dirty jokes, he said.

  511. You got to put that away. You can't be womanizing and

  512. saying you getting in the Kingdom.

  513. You can't be hustling around and think you right.

  514. And don't let no preacher get up there and tell you you good.

  515. In fact, I'm telling you what the Holy Ghost is doing.

  516. Every time you do it, you feel condemned because the Holy Ghost

  517. would be like, hey, what's up? What's up with you?

  518. Jesus delivers you from this, bro.

  519. Get it together. Don't tell me it's hard.

  520. We can clean this mind up. You keep choosing this stuff.

  521. I got power up on the inside of you.

  522. We free you from all this stuff. Just walk in love.

  523. How do you walk in love? You walk according to what God

  524. says concerning that. That's walking in love.

  525. If you love me, you'll keep my command.

  526. So walking in love is keeping his, keeping his word.

  527. Because Jesus did it. Just as Jesus laid down his life

  528. and only do what the Father says, so how do we walk in love?

  529. We just keep His word. Hallelujah.

  530. Let me read a couple of these verses out of the Passion.

  531. Translation from verse four or verse three, he says, and have

  532. nothing to do with sexual immorality, lust or greed.

  533. For you are His holy ones. He says guard your or he says

  534. and let no one be able to accuse you.

  535. Of of them in any form, he said. Guard your speech.

  536. Forsake obscenities and worthless insults.

  537. These are nonsensical words that bring disgrace and and are

  538. unnecessary. Instead, let worship fill your

  539. heart and spill out in your words.

  540. He says for you. For it has been made clear to

  541. you already that the Kingdom of God cannot be accessed by anyone

  542. who is guilty of sexual sin or who is impure or greedy.

  543. For greed is is the essence of idolatry.

  544. So again, we say idolatry. Oh, I'm not worshipping an idol.

  545. Well, if you're worshipping money, you are.

  546. If you can go to work more than you can go to church, you are.

  547. If you can go to work and and and do the ball games and all

  548. this and can't read the Bible, you are.

  549. He goes on and says this. He says how could they expect to

  550. have an inheritance in Christ's Kingdom while doing those

  551. things? He said don't be fooled by those

  552. who speak with their empty words and deceptive teachings telling

  553. you otherwise. This is what brings God's anger

  554. upon the rebellious. Now I've told you before and

  555. you've seen billboards that says God's not angry with you.

  556. God is angry with the rebellious and if you are in the rebellious

  557. category, raft is being stored up for them.

  558. So it's a lie to say God's not angry with sin.

  559. So again, how can you call yourself a Sinner saved by

  560. grace? Because God's angry with sin.

  561. And again what do we say? Well you know God hates the sin

  562. but loves the Sinner. Well, how do you differentiate

  563. between sin and the Sinner? And if you're calling them a

  564. Sinner, then they must be in sin.

  565. You don't want to hear this. God makes provision for the

  566. human spirit to be delivered out of disobedience.

  567. So make no mistake about it, Not only does he hate sin, but he

  568. hates the one practicing it. And what really aggravates him

  569. is that he knows they don't have to stay there.

  570. Now God is ever present to welcome them in.

  571. So when I say he's angry, it's not like he's mad to the point I

  572. ain't going to do nothing for you.

  573. He's like, gosh, I can't. Come on, give what they're

  574. saying. I sent somebody by your path to

  575. tell you how to be free. Come on, get this thing.

  576. It's that kind of anger. It's this anger, this, this hope

  577. that's like, seriously, get this thing, man.

  578. I laid down my life. So you don't have to be there

  579. anymore. Come on, man.

  580. Get this thing. Because if you don't get it,

  581. I'll have to judge you. I'll have to sit at you

  582. eternally. Come on, get this.

  583. God's not going, brother. I just love you anyway.

  584. It's not right. That's not right.

  585. So. Well, God loved me when I was in

  586. you. Betty loved you.

  587. He provided a way out. He sure did.

  588. Loved you so much that he provided a way out.

  589. He did not. Look at what you were doing and

  590. saying, bro. They deserve it.

  591. I ain't doing Jack for them. No, he said.

  592. Lord, you said you were going to have a Dominion man, and I'll

  593. put myself in the position so a man can come back into Dominion.

  594. And even though they don't deserve for me to do this

  595. because they fail, I'm going to do it according to your word.

  596. Now it's up to them to want to get back.

  597. And I know you want him to get back.

  598. That's why you keep sending people by to talk to him about

  599. how to get on the path, how to walk the narrow path, how to

  600. come through the door. Are y'all hearing me Hallelujah.

  601. So don't be fooled. Please do not be walking around

  602. like the world and act like you good with God.

  603. Now, I'm not saying that if you're doing all this and you

  604. drop. Dead God's like, I can't let you

  605. in. I'm saying if you're a

  606. practicer, you may be at more risk.

  607. And you think because nowhere in scripture doesn't say once

  608. you're saved, you're always saved.

  609. Doesn't say that at all, because if you could always be saved,

  610. then how in the world could Adam had fallen out?

  611. He was perfect without sin. It's because he let it go.

  612. Amen. God's merciful.

  613. Don't get me wrong. People can be on a very back

  614. sledding course. I get it.

  615. And God's merciful and pull them around.

  616. And many of you had testimonies, man.

  617. I knew God when I was young. And then I got off.

  618. I was. But God kept pursuing me and

  619. kept pursuing me. He wasn't accepting you.

  620. He was pursuing you to get you off that walk.

  621. And then you got on the right walk and you're testifying how

  622. great this walk is. Not the old one.

  623. Because the old one was so good. Why'd you ever come back?

  624. Why did you feel like you had to #2 #2 is you need to walk in the

  625. light. Ephesians chapter 5 verses 8

    Ephesians 5:8–14

  626. through 14. For you were formerly darkness,

  627. but now you are light in the Lord walk as children of light.

  628. For the fruit of the light consist in all goodness and

  629. righteousness and truth, trying to learn what is pleasing to the

  630. Lord do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness,

  631. but instead even expose them. For it is disgraceful, say,

  632. disgraceful. It is disgraceful even to speak

  633. of the things which are done by them in secret.

  634. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the

  635. light. For everything that becomes

  636. visible is light. For this reason it says awake,

  637. Sleeper, and arise from the dead and Christ will shine on you.

  638. So the number two thing in this new walk is we are to walk in

  639. the light. We used to be in darkness.

  640. And the thing about darkness is that is dark.

  641. You don't know where you're going.

  642. You're having to grope around and feel your way around.

  643. You know what? And you're subject to getting

  644. hurt all the time, because if you don't know where the

  645. obstacles are at. Then you can run into all kind

  646. of stuff. You can get tripped up in all

  647. kinds of things, and that's what it's like being outside of the

  648. will of God. That's why you're constantly

  649. falling, falling, falling, getting hurt, getting hurt,

  650. getting hurt. But when the light comes on, you

  651. can see. Right.

  652. And so he says now you're going to need to walk as children of

  653. light. And I like verse 9 because it

  654. says for the fruit of the lights consist in really what he's

  655. saying, if you're children of light, then there should be a

  656. perpetual display of the fruits of the spirit.

  657. A perpetual display. Of the fruits of the spirit.

  658. That means when a situation requires the fruit of love, you

  659. can produce it. When the situation requires the

  660. fruit of patience, you can produce it.

  661. When the situation requires the fruit of self-control, you can

  662. produce it. When the situation requires the

  663. fruit of kindness, you can do it.

  664. And you understand. Kindness doesn't always come

  665. when the situation is kind. Kindness.

  666. A lot of times that fruit will manifest when kindness is not

  667. around and you're having to be the kind one, although the flesh

  668. says respond differently. But we walk as children of life.

  669. We're no longer retaliating. We have a totally different way

  670. we can respond. We can live differently.

  671. And again the whole Then he says verse 10, trying to learn what

  672. is pleasing to the Lord. Well, what does that mean?

  673. Well, you know, if you go connect the dot over into

  674. Hebrews Chapter 11 without faith, it's impossible to please

    Hebrews 11 chapter mention

  675. him. So faith is what pleases God.

  676. So verse 10 says we are supposed to learn how to live by faith.

  677. So if you're walking in the light, really what you're doing

  678. is you're walking and living by faith.

  679. No longer do you have to see a natural which is can be masked

  680. in darkness anyway. You can see the word, you can

  681. see. What God says is very clear,

  682. even though all the circumstances around it says it

  683. can't happen. You see the light, and you stay

  684. with the light, and you stay with the word, and you walk in

  685. the light of that word, and you walk in the light of that Word.

  686. And when they say it's not gonna work, it's not gonna happen, it

  687. won't do this. You stay with the light of the

  688. Word, and then you produce the fruit, Amen.

  689. And that fruit then will expose those that are in darkness,

  690. right? In fact, we shouldn't be talking

  691. about how bad everybody's living.

  692. Well, did you see how they respond today?

  693. I sure did. I can't.

  694. Why are you talking about it? Why don't you bring a different

  695. fruit? Well, you know what?

  696. Let's pray for them. It's obviously they were having

  697. a bad day. What, You're going to be nice to

  698. them after all that they said at the table today at work?

  699. Yep. Because I walk in the light.

  700. I said I walk in the light. I walk in the light.

  701. So #2 we walk in the light, #3 we walk in wisdom, say wisdom.

  702. What's so awesome about being born of God is that God educates

  703. you quickly and he gives you an education that the world itself

  704. cannot obtain. To cannot attain to this is

  705. beyond mere knowledge. Ephesians chapter 5 verses 15 to

    Ephesians 5:15–17

  706. 17 says, therefore be careful how you walk not as unwise men,

  707. but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are

  708. what evil. So then do not be foolish, but

  709. understand what the will of the Lord is.

  710. Now again he tells us to walk wise right we are to walk in

  711. wisdom, so we're to walk as wise men, not unwise.

  712. And I like this because it goes on.

  713. It says making the most of your time.

  714. What's he saying here in verse 16?

  715. He's saying don't be slothful, don't be lazy.

  716. Unwise people are lazy. They're trying to do the least

  717. amount of work with the most amount of pay because they just

  718. want to do what they want to do. They want to fulfill their

  719. desires. They want to have their time.

  720. Well, we see here in verse 17 that the foolish don't know what

  721. the will of the Lord is. Not only do you need to know the

  722. general will of the Lord, meaning how God's general will,

  723. meaning every believer is to respond by the fruits of the

  724. spirit. Every believer supposed to pray,

  725. every believer supposed to read the word, Every believer

  726. supposed should be praying in the spirit, although they don't.

  727. Every believer is supposed to, you know, receive the benefits

  728. that God has given to all of his children.

  729. These are general. But then there's a specific will

  730. for your life, the reason why you were born in the 1st place.

  731. The book that he wrote about you before you even got into your

  732. mother's womb and said, I destined you in the earth at

  733. this time to do this work. So you're foolish when you don't

  734. know the will of God. Well, how can you know the will

  735. of God if you're not in his word?

  736. So again, there's plenty of people that feel buildings

  737. called church but don't even read the Bible and have no

  738. concept of his will, and all they do is this.

  739. Well, Lord, if it's your will. That was my Southern

  740. impersonation. I've left New York, so I don't

  741. know how they would have said that.

  742. Right? Coffee.

  743. But I can't. I don't know how to say that.

  744. We will. Yeah, that's how you coffee.

  745. You know you're saying it. Right.

  746. Hallelujah. Got to pork the car.

  747. OK, so you need to do the will of the Lord.

  748. You cannot do that outside of being in the word and many

  749. people saying Lord, whatever your will is.

  750. And then it's like they're groping in darkness and if a

  751. door is open, they assume it's God.

  752. You know, devil's good at door opening.

  753. He's really good at door. He's good at prosperity.

  754. He's really good at prosperity. I mean, great at it.

  755. I mean, that's what he was telling Jesus.

  756. Look, I'll give you all the Kingdom this, all the prosperity

  757. that come, all the power, all the domain, all the dominion you

  758. get, all the wealth and riches here, people.

  759. So what you get right. So devil's real good at that.

  760. And if well, Lord official will you'll, you know, you'll give me

  761. that job or not. We don't even see if there's a

  762. church there. And then if you move because of

  763. the church, you can get off and not continue to stay connected

  764. with the church because you prosper so good in the place

  765. that God calls you to prosper because you answered him to come

  766. to the church. But now you're not doing nothing

  767. with the church. Why are we here?

  768. What's the will of the Lord? I mean, when we supposed to

  769. retire from the thing called the church.

  770. So when are you supposed to retire from serving well,

  771. Pastor, I need a break. Well, Jesus need to break on the

  772. road to the I mean on the road to Galgatha.

  773. But if you're in the words, you'll be a perpetual rest

  774. anyway. I mean, he does tell you some

  775. marathon Hallelujah. So condition yourself and let me

  776. tell you, we aren't going overwork you anyway because we

  777. know when you get. You only show up when you serve.

  778. We're like, hold on now. That's not why you are here.

  779. Because now you're really not serving.

  780. You're not serving because serving is an overflow of your

  781. relationship and your worship with God, not just a planning

  782. center schedule. If you're only here when

  783. planning center scheduled you, you've turned God into a job and

  784. you've made him an idol. You've made him religious.

  785. Oh, you should like want to be here because you love him and

  786. he's assigned you here and he produces fruit in your life

  787. because of the will of God for your life.

  788. So wise people make the most of every opportunity, meaning they

  789. purposeful. They don't say, well, let's

  790. attain to this and then let's coast.

  791. There is no real believer that says let's attain here and let's

  792. retire and just lay back and enjoy.

  793. I get very concerned because I get around pastors all the time

  794. that they finally build the building and then they're done.

  795. In essence, they preach on Sunday because most of them

  796. don't even do midweek. In essence, they've moved into

  797. retirement and they built the church to the size that allows

  798. them to live that way. Think there's more territory to

  799. take. Amen.

  800. We can keep pressing, keep doing, keep moving.

  801. Why? Because the days are evil.

  802. Because evil's not resting. In fact, we have guaranteed by

  803. the scripture that evil will work harder in the end.

  804. How can we let evil out? Work us.

  805. Be more purposeful. Let's just put it that way.

  806. They're more purposeful because, you know, Christians hate the

  807. word work. God has no problem with work.

  808. Why do I know that? Jesus and my father's always not

  809. resting. He's always working.

  810. And you're supposed to imitate God.

  811. Well, if your father's always working, then you always work in

  812. your purpose and purpose. Doesn't happen just cause you're

  813. in the walls. Hallelujah.

  814. Just say Amen anyway. Praise the Lord.

  815. I know why anchor faith churches like that.

  816. It's cause we don't We don't skirt around stuff.

  817. I mean, we're empowering you to be the greatest you you can be.

  818. Now at the end of the day, you're the one who's responsible

  819. for you. I'm responsible for me.

  820. And I'm gonna do my part whether you're here or not.

  821. But I'm going to be a wise person when I'm the world's

  822. pastor want to do that. Why does he want to add that to

  823. his plate? Why do you?

  824. Why? Cause the days are evil, man.

  825. And we got to be about the father's business.

  826. And here I'm in my own nation and people at that pastor for 40

  827. decades are telling me people are not hearing what you're

  828. saying. Well, why am more saying it?

  829. So if they're not, then I guess it's a pretty good good thing

  830. we're out there saying it and that God's empowered us here to

  831. be able to do it. Glory to God.

  832. So I don't want to be foolish, right?

  833. I want to be like the Ant that's moving.

  834. We wouldn't. We moving.

  835. Praise the Lord, I said. We're moving because, you know,

  836. when the winter hits, we've stored up stuff.

  837. We're not begging for somebody else who stored Hallelujah.

  838. No, we are not. Like the wicked slave son.

  839. I gave you a talent and you buried it.

  840. You could have at least drawn interest and that was still just

  841. taking it to a bank and letting them work it.

  842. And you keep checking on it at minimum.

  843. God always expects increase. So if you ever see yourself back

  844. slid and this is problematic and let me tell you you do you know

  845. whether you're back slate or not how passionate are you to be

  846. here that let me know real quick because again you say wait a

  847. minute how come you keep that like it Cause Jesus Christ is

  848. the head of the and you by yourself is not the church.

  849. You were just a finger you're just an elbow.

  850. You're just a foot. You're just a toe.

  851. You're just a rib. You're just one part.

  852. You're not the body of Christ by yourself, so you cannot be

  853. having this, like, personal, super awesome relationship with

  854. God without having this passion to want to be around every other

  855. believer. Because there was a time when

  856. you first got saved that you know you love coming here.

  857. And when it's not like I love it, then you're heading

  858. backwards now again, loving it doesn't mean you have to feel it

  859. cause you got to stir yourself up.

  860. I mean, there's days I don't feel like coming, especially

  861. when it's raining and it's cold and you're like.

  862. This would be kind of nice to stay by the fire.

  863. Just cozy a little bit. No, you stir yourself up.

  864. Was at the end of the day, Jesus all about the church.

  865. He loves it. He loves what we're doing.

  866. Collectively and individually, individually, collectively, it's

  867. an amazing thing. It's like, awesome.

  868. So empowering. I mean, I was really, my heart

  869. was 4. Pastor Jack man up in New York.

  870. I was like, I mean, I can't speak to it because I'm not

  871. called there. So I don't presume to know

  872. because when you get called somewhere, you'll get anointing

  873. on how to deal with the place you're in.

  874. But when they was telling me, man, they work two or three

  875. jobs, both households work, you know, it's very difficult for

  876. them. I'm like, jeez, some ain't right

  877. was at the end of the day, that's not an excuse not to be

  878. in church. It's not an excuse.

  879. There's a disconnect somewhere. You know, the hustle and bustle.

  880. There's a disconnect somewhere. I'm not going to give you the

  881. answer because I'm not up there. But if I was up there, I'd have

  882. the answer and we would create a generation of packed out people

  883. that love to be with God or we're Jeremiah and that's a

  884. whole nother ball game. Amen.

  885. All right. So then the last one, number

  886. four that we're gonna talk about, we're talking.

  887. About again jumping back over any Ephesians or any Ephesians

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  888. chapter 2. Remember it says you formerly

  889. walked away. Now we walk in the things.

  890. Prepared for us. Because we're created in Christ.

  891. We have a new walk. We walk in love number one, we

  892. walk in light #2, we walk in wisdom #3.

  893. And the 4th one is we walk by the spirit, we walk by the

  894. spirit. Now he feeds.

  895. In chapter 5, verse 18 he mentions this a little, he one

  896. statement concerning it. And then but we then we're going

  897. to jump over to Galatians, closing Galatians.

  898. He really pulls out this walk by the spirit when Ephesians 518.

  899. Just so you know what's in the Ephesians 5 section.

  900. He says do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation.

  901. But be what? Filled with the spirit?

  902. Okay. So we're not supposed to get

  903. drunk with wine now? What do we mean by that?

  904. You're not supposed to allow alcohol to intoxicate you,

  905. because when you're intoxicated, it messes with your mind, I

  906. said. It messes with your mind, It

  907. messes with your mind. It hinders its ability to

  908. function in clarity. Now it depends on the type of

  909. person you are, how alcohol affects your mind.

  910. Some people, when they get drunk that are timid sober, be become

  911. extremely brave and violent. Is that not true?

  912. I mean, it beat anybody up or get beat up while they're trying

  913. to beat somebody up one or the other and they don't care at

  914. all, right? Some When they get drunk, when

  915. they're sober, they don't talk. But when they're drunk, they

  916. talk a lot and they talk about everything and anything.

  917. No filter. There are some that get drunk

  918. and they actually get quiet and their quietness moves them into

  919. depression and they get depressed.

  920. Are you hearing me? But when sober, that's not

  921. technically the case. Now, when they're sober, you

  922. understand there's usually something happening in their

  923. sober mind that makes them think that the intoxication is better

  924. because it's trying to suppress or hurt, in essence, if I can.

  925. And it is interesting that we call alcohol spirits still this

  926. day. Wine and spirits.

  927. Spirits. OK, well, because it's amazing

  928. what you are. What can get in your mind when

  929. you don't have control over it. Are you hearing me?

  930. Now, this this goes without saying when it comes to drugs.

  931. All right, now the question is, And it always comes up to me.

  932. OK, well, Pastor, you're just not supposed to get drunk.

  933. Well, define drunk. Let's let's define it because

  934. some would define drunk as inebriated.

  935. You can't wall falling all over the place.

  936. Well, does that the Bible definition of drunk because that

  937. that's really not the Bible definition of drunk.

  938. The Bible definition of drunk is that you have something in you

  939. that starts to affect the clarity of your thinking.

  940. Now I can go back in my history and know the first time I drank,

  941. especially when it came to beer. One beer messed with my mind.

  942. Now I developed a tolerance for alcohol, which means then the

  943. mental effect I had originally with the first one didn't occur

  944. till it became later. Now again in this interesting

  945. that any alcoholic today started with one.

  946. And again, just about every alcoholic today typically says I

  947. can stop anytime I want. Which is the first deception,

  948. all right. Look, I don't have time to break

  949. all this down for you because again, this is where everybody

  950. goes. Yeah, but Jesus drank wine.

  951. The Bible, literally in the Greek, does not show the

  952. difference between the. Fruit of the vine and fermented

  953. wine, Period. So the fruit of the vine would

  954. be all by all rights, is called great juice.

  955. Great juice would still be called.

  956. It would not be called grape juice.

  957. So what we've done, we allowed our Americanized thinking to

  958. assume wine only has to do with alcohol when they would call

  959. that wine as well. OK.

  960. I mean, this shouldn't be hard for us because again, you can

  961. buy a Heineken, you can buy a Guinness.

  962. Only reason I know this because I've seen commercials.

  963. I knew about o'doul's, but o'doul's really doesn't matter

  964. because o'doul's is a different name.

  965. Heineken is an alcoholic beverage, a beer, but you can

  966. get it with 0 alcohol, which means they make the taste

  967. without the alcoholic effect 0. Guinness now has 10 alcohol.

  968. You know, you know how much drunk drivers we have right now?

  969. You know how many people's gotten in trouble with drunk

  970. driving? I mean if it was really serious

  971. about us in the in our world and we can make non alcoholic beer,

  972. then why don't we just get rid of the alcohol And let me just

  973. throw this one out for all the ones that say well but didn't

  974. Paul tell Timothy to drink wine? Why did he tell Timothy to drink

  975. wine for? So are you drinking?

  976. Is your stomach hurt all the time that every night you got to

  977. drink out wine with your meal cause of your stomach?

  978. Do you have a perpetual bowel issue?

  979. So you see how people do just to try to justify.

  980. Now at the end of the day, listen, I you drink a glass of

  981. wine and die, that doesn't send you to hell.

  982. I'm not saying that. I mean, I had alcoholic wine in

  983. Haiti because they used it for communion.

  984. In fact, the only time Pastor Marcus has ever drank alcohol

  985. was around me. And because of me the first time

  986. is because I did this skit one time when I was a youth pastor,

  987. my brotherinlaw work for a company called Metal Container

  988. and they made the lids for Anheuser Busch.

  989. Just the lids. And so I had him send me the

  990. lids that go on a Budweiser can, just the lids.

  991. And I put them on ice in a cooler.

  992. And so that night we had. I don't know what Hunter

  993. something teenagers. There.

  994. I said, look, I'm your youth pastor at the end of the day.

  995. I know you're dealing with this right.

  996. This right. Joshua.

  997. I know you're dealing with this about tonight.

  998. Listen, if you've got to pop a cold one you're going to do it

  999. with your youth pastor tonight. Tonight we go pop a cold one

  1000. together. That's how I let that's how I

1001. set it up. And my message was a Budweiser

1002. than. Yeah, that was good, isn't it?

1003. So the youth pastor went across the street next door to the

1004. youth and bought a case of beer. Yeah, well, I had to have the

1005. prop bought the case of beer. Walk back.

1006. I'm glad people didn't have phones and film and stuff like

1007. that, you know? Again, I took a risk.

1008. I get it. And so I came back and Pastor

1009. Marcus and I, we drilled the bottom of every beer can.

1010. Now again it's been so long since I drank I didn't realize

1011. they made it where it kind of curves up on the bottom.

1012. Now it has like this little. I don't maybe it helps it pour

1013. out. I don't know why they did that

1014. was flat long time ago, but now it's got this little curve.

1015. So we're we're dumping it out as best we can.

1016. But you know there's still some around that little bottom rim.

1017. So once then I rinsed. It did as much as I could.

1018. Then I took and we poured. Apple juice in it because, you

1019. know, you foam up apple juice. It looks like beer.

1020. So we poured that in and then I plugged it with a little screw

1021. that had a rubber Grumman on it and we plugged it and put it

1022. back in the case. So then the skit was, you know,

1023. here they are having a party. But you know, again, for them to

1024. think Pastor Marcus had real beer, he could pop the top and

1025. then he would pour it in a glass cup and you could see it and it

1026. would foam up and then he would drink it.

1027. Then you know the youth are watching all this, right?

1028. Well, I had, you know, another cup that was, you know, one of

1029. those stadium cups that we put Chunky Campbell's soup in chunk.

1030. Some chunky soup in it. And so ultimately he's putting

1031. them back, you know, putting them back.

1032. Crushing the can, boom. Putting it back, crushing the

1033. can, just tearing it up, right? Then he grabs this other cup and

1034. he puts it in and then he throws up all over the place, right?

1035. This is my skit because at the end of the day, don't think the

1036. parties aren't going like this. People are still doing this.

1037. My wife and I went out to Salt Life after Wednesday night

1038. service when they came out and we're like, is that is that puke

1039. out here in the parking lot? Sure enough, somebody was having

1040. a good old time is what we call it.

1041. That's I've never had a good old time throwing up.

1042. I have never. Something's wrong with you.

1043. I'm having. I'm having such a good old time

1044. right now. Nobody does that.

1045. Nobody does that in their right. My just say liar.

  1046. You're a liar right now. You're not having a good time

1047. when your toenails are trying to come up through your throat.

  1048. No way. No way.

1049. Hallelujah. Y'all doing all right.

1050. I'm a violent thrower upper. My wife is super quiet.

1051. You don't even know it's. The self-control she has.

  1052. You all right? Yeah.

1053. I just threw up. You what She's like you don't

  1054. even know. Happens.

1055. This even happened. It's crazy me.

1056. Has it come? Just get it all out.

1057. Plus my voice, right? Just lose it all.

1058. Going to lose it all that's bad. Me and Brianna, we will believe

1059. God that it will always go down another way.

1060. If it starts to try to serve like Jesus you will If you got

1061. to get out, you going out another way.

1062. You are so going out another way and I don't care if it coming

1063. out fast the other way because I'm like that's right in Jesus

1064. name. You are not coming out of my

1065. mouth when I put it in. It does not come back out.

1066. It will not return that way. I hate it that much.

  1067. So it's not a good time. It's a lot.

1068. Anyway, he tasted some, then, you know, he's like, I see, I'm

1069. sorry. And then the next time we went

1070. to Haiti, we ministered at Faith Christian University.

1071. Actually, they had a campus there at the time, and so we

1072. went to a church. They had communion.

1073. And so I was up front helping to serve communion.

1074. He was in the back about where the sound booth is right there.

1075. And I was standing here and he was directly in front of me like

  1076. this. We're holding this and I'll

1077. drink the cup. And I went.

1078. I went, ah, that's not Welch's. And Pastor Marcus went look like

1079. Barney Fife and I just went Hallelujah.

1080. Praise the Lord so, he says. Look, don't let nothing mess

1081. with your mind. Are you hearing me now?

1082. Let nothing mess with your mind. I think if most people were

1083. honest about their alcohol drinking anyway, they kind of do

1084. it for sophistication. I mean, they were honest.

1085. Why do you drink again at the end of the day?

1086. I'm not here to condemn or go any other way.

1087. You need to talk to the Lord about that.

1088. I just know that there's a time when you first start, it affects

1089. your mind right out the gate. And why do you build up a

1090. tolerance for something that has destroyed so many people's lives

1091. when there's so many other options?

1092. That's all that you could, just not, period.

1093. And then you would never be concerned about it, nor would

1094. you be categorized, because how do they?

1095. Know when you're sitting at the restaurant, that's your only

1096. glass. And how many people say, well,

1097. you know, my pastor drinks too. Wow.

1098. And then they're bailing them out.

1099. What happened? Well, drains a little too much,

1100. pastor. Well, God loves you, man.

1101. Drink responsibly. That's called an oxymoron.

1102. The more you drink, the less responsible you are.

1103. That's like gamble responsibly. That can't happen.

  1104. Galatians 5. Let's shut this down.

1105. Amen. Somebody on the podcast needs to

1106. hear this. If it's in this house, then let

1107. it apply. Galatians 516 to 25 says this.

1108. But I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the

1109. desires of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire

1110. against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh, for

1111. these are in opposition to one another.

1112. So that you may not do the things that you please.

1113. The spirit is the check. The spirit is like, we don't

1114. live that way. We don't walk that way anymore.

1115. The spirit is like, that's a formal walk.

1116. We don't do that now. That's a formal walk.

  1117. I know where you're going. That's a formal walk.

1118. Spirit on a man. Get up in there and talk to your

  1119. soul. Now that's a formal walk.

1120. Get them to arrest that thinking.

1121. Get them to get them to take captain that thought.

1122. Let's take Captain. That thought now.

1123. Because that's former walking. That's former walking all right.

1124. But if you are led by the Spirit, you're not under the

1125. law. Now that just simply means you

1126. trying to fulfill God's word without the help of God.

1127. Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are, yeah, that's

1128. so true, Lord. You know I've always, you know,

1129. like you know when he this statement here like that's just

1130. such a tough statement like how do we explain this property And

1131. the Lord says I say it this way. Thank you.

1132. So, he says. Listen again.

1133. If you are led by the spirit, you're not under the law right

1134. now. Does the law say that it's okay

1135. to have immorality? Does the law say to have

1136. impurity or sensuality or adultery or sorcery or enmities,

1137. or strive for jealousies or outburst?

1138. Does the law say that? Okay.

1139. So if you're living by the spirit, you're not under the

1140. law. Obviously, the law says to not

1141. covet, to not murder. Well, we're still not supposed

1142. to murder. We're still not supposed to

1143. covet. We're still not supposed to

1144. steal the law. None of the law was saying this

1145. to do these things. So again, when it says under the

1146. law, it says you're not under the law.

1147. Meaning you're trying your very best to do it God's way, but you

1148. can't because your nature separated.

1149. You're not under that condition anymore.

1150. You're actually now in the Spirit, and the Spirit can't

1151. fulfill God's word. He will.

1152. The Holy Spirit will do it, and he'll tell you how to do it, and

1153. he'll empower you to be able to resist, so that the works of the

1154. flesh then are evident, which are immorality and purity,

1155. sensuality, adultery, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy,

1156. outbursts of anger, it says, disputes, dissensions, factions

1157. in being, drunkenness. So now we're.

1158. Back over to Ephesians 5 again, Don't be drunk with wine.

1159. But you know, basically, you know, you're supposed to be

1160. filled with the spirit, carousing and things like these,

1161. of which I forewarned you, just as I have forewarned you that

1162. those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of

  1163. God. Thank you.

1164. The Lord wanted me to let remind you, yes, being filled with the

1165. Spirit can get you demonstrating an outward display that looks

1166. like what a natural, intoxicated person looks like.

1167. Peter on the day of Pentecost, said these men are not drunk as

1168. you. So there was something about

1169. their behavior when they got under the power that made them

1170. look like they were staggering and stammering.

1171. Because again, a person drunk, you know, will slur.

1172. There's, you know, like, what? What?

1173. So when they were speaking in an unknown tongue.

1174. Because, again, if they were only Speaking of the language

1175. which they were speaking languages, people understood.

1176. But if they were only doing that, then there'd be no reason

1177. to associate them with drunkenness.

1178. So there was the Speaking of tongues that no one knew what

1179. they were saying, so they thought it was stammering of

  1180. lips. They were drunk.

1181. Listen to them. They're stammering their lips

1182. all over the place. Okay.

1183. And again you can get so full of the spirit that the weight of

1184. his glory and power could put you on the ground.

1185. Just like when you people are drunk, they stagger and fall.

1186. That can take place. But notice this.

1187. Not every occasion when you are under the influence of the

1188. Spirit, are you going to be falling all over the place?

1189. Because some people take that as then as a religious exercise,

1190. and they're just stumbling all over the place, making it look

1191. like they're drunk in the spirit when they're no more drunk in

1192. the Spirit, they just want you to think they're drunk in the

1193. spirit. Now how do I know?

1194. Because their lifestyle isn't actually being walked out by the

1195. Spirit. Because they're doing all these

1196. things still. You're staggering around here,

1197. but you're sleeping around. You're staggering around here,

1198. but you're still, you know, Corral.

1199. You're staggering around here, but you're envying.

1200. You're staggering around here and you got jealousy.

1201. Why? You staggering around and it

1202. didn't do nothing for you. Again, if you fall, great, but

1203. do something different once you get up.

1204. So a Holy Ghost meeting is not just the stammering of lips.

1205. Well, you will speak in it on untone.

1206. I'm fine with that. But that doesn't mean you're

1207. falling all over the place. Okay, let's go on.

1208. He says verse 22. But the fruit of the Spirit is

1209. love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,

  1210. faithfulness, gentleness, selfcontrol.

1211. Against such there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ

1212. Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

1213. If we live by the Spirit, let us also what walk by the Spirit?

1214. So the fourth thing is you're going to walk by the Spirit.

1215. Now let me just say this. You cannot walk by the Spirit

1216. outside the word of God. It cannot happen because if

1217. you're just trying to be spiritual, you'll tap into the

1218. wrong spirit because you don't have an anchor in the word to

1219. know what a correct spirit is. Because the enemy is in the

1220. spirit realm and the devil comes as an Angel of light.

1221. So if you're walking by the spirit, you must also be in the

1222. word to be a person who's truly living or walking by the Spirit.

1223. Two things are going to be necessary in your life.

1224. One is a consistent diet of reading and studying the word,

1225. and the 2nd is a consistent diet of praying and praying in the

1226. spirit you must have about. Jesus himself knew the word, He

1227. was the word, but he prayed. If prayer alone made you

1228. spiritual then Jesus never would have ever said it is written.

1229. If prayer was not important and all you had to do was read, then

1230. Jesus never would have went and prayed.

1231. So a person who's truly walking by the Spirit, this new walk we

1232. are, should have a habit of both reading the word and prayer.

1233. Not just praying in the natural, but praying in the Spirit.

1234. And there should be a balance. Which one you should do more.

1235. It's which one's most necessary at the time.

1236. Now, most of the time it's gonna kind of seem like a balance

1237. between the two. But sometimes you don't need to

1238. pray. You just need to get in the

1239. word, and you need to wash yourself with the Word.

1240. You need to spend some hours just reading the word.

1241. Then there's other times that you need to get over and pray

1242. for quite some time until you break through, so it's whichever

1243. ones needed. So we don't want to emphasize

1244. one more than the other because they're really inseparable

1245. anyway. Are you hearing what I'm saying?

1246. All right, what, Did you learn anything tonight?

1247. Are you going to, you going to walk your new walk?

1248. I said, are you going to walk your new walk?

1249. We're going to walk in love. We're going to walk in the

1250. light, we're going to walk in wisdom and we're going to walk

1251. by the spirit. And when we do that, then the

1252. world will say, who are you, where are you from and what can

1253. I do to get what you have? Because you will no longer be

1254. confused with the former walk, nor will anyone be able to

1255. associate. They can lie and say you've done

1256. something. Now you can't stop that because

1257. they said Jesus walked away, He never walked.

1258. But you are never to walk away. That they can rightly accuse you

1259. of a former. Walk Thank you so much for
