  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Well, let's turn over to Mark

  4. chapter one. Mark chapter one, And I sense

  5. that some of those things I was saying were not just by me

  6. saying it's unction of the Spirit.

  7. I did not say thus sayeth the Lord, but it was.

  8. Just as much a function by the Spirit, more of a word of

  9. knowledge, because some of you are like, yeah, that's me.

  10. Which means the Lord, through His word and knowledge, wanted

  11. me to encourage you along those lines.

  12. Amen. Some of you I could call out

  13. some very specific things because I just happen to know.

  14. And let me just say this, thank you, Lord, because the Lord just

  15. trying to deal with this church often.

  16. Does the Lord know everything? Right.

  17. So why is it that Saints get so impressed by a minister that

  18. doesn't know you, but by the spirit of God can tell you about

  19. what's going on in your life, then give you the words you need

  20. to overcome it? And we would rather receive it

  21. from that person than someone that God's placed in your life.

  22. Like your pastor who happens to know what's going on cause you

  23. told them but then told you the same word by the scripture that

  24. you need to overcome. But we want to get it from a

  25. stranger, because you're not getting a more sure word of

  26. scripture of how to overcome from someone who just didn't

  27. happen to know your problem. That doesn't make it more

  28. spiritual. In fact, I would even submit to

  29. you this way. The reason why some of those

  30. gifts are actually in operation is because of the failure of

  31. people to actually be under their pastor.

  32. And it's God again, trying to get your attention because why

  33. in the world are you way over there?

  34. Yeah, it's good preaching. It's not popular.

  35. But I'm not here for popularity contest.

  36. I'm just here to do the word of the King.

  37. Hey man, John the Baptist wasn't in a popularity contest.

  38. Neither was Jesus. Jesus said y'all, I'll go to the

  39. house, right? Because at the end of the day

  40. I'm just going to do the will of my Father, Amen.

  41. And that's the best place of peace, just doing the will of

  42. the father March after one verse 14 to 15 says this.

  43. And now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came

  44. into Galilee preaching the gospel of God and saying the

  45. time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand.

  46. Repent. And believe in the gospel.

  47. So these two verses here, if you put them both up at the same

  48. time would be really awesome. Is that Jesus is literally

  49. communicating what the gospel is.

  50. Just in case we don't because you know that way we got to go

  51. preach the gospel. Jesus tells us the gospel

  52. because it says Jesus came into galley preaching the gospel of

  53. God. Verse 15 tells us what it is

  54. saying. What did he say?

  55. The time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand.

  56. That's the gospel. The Kingdom of God is at hand.

  57. The Kingdom of God is at hand. The Kingdom of God is at hand.

  58. That's the gospel. The good news is that the

  59. Kingdom of God is at hand. Now guess what?

  60. That includes being born again because you can't see the

  61. Kingdom. Unless you're born again, you

  62. can't enter the Kingdom unless you're born again.

  63. But the good news is not the Death Bear on resurrection of

  64. Jesus. The good news is the Kingdom of

  65. God. The Death Bear on resurrection

  66. of Jesus is what was the required payment so that we

  67. could be forgiven of our treason and the debt associated with our

  68. life. Because again, God's ready to

  69. forgive man in Genesis chapter 3.

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  70. No issue when Adam eats the fruit and God comes into the

  71. garden and then he eventually speaks to the serpent, he said.

  72. I'll bring my seed through the woman.

  73. In essence, I want to forgive man, but I cannot give him

  74. forgiveness until the debts paid.

  75. He can't enter into life until it's paid.

  76. That's why everyone prior to Jesus's death burial is in

  77. paradise. They're in the grave.

  78. They cannot go and be present with the Lord because the

  79. payment is not there. They're waiting on payment.

  80. Now forgiveness obviously is in play for them to be in a

  81. separate place than those that were beyond the abyss.

  82. However, it does not give them access to God yet or they cannot

  83. be present It be in His presence, be before Him

  84. consistently are eternal until the payment comes.

  85. So Jesus is telling us the good news is the Kingdom.

  86. Is the Kingdom My work, Jesus says, is to pay the price so you

  87. can have the Kingdom back. So he says, listen, the time is

  88. fulfilled. In essence I've come to make

  89. payment. So the good news in this

  90. particular dispensation we're in, called the New Covenant, is

  91. that when we die, we don't go to the grave.

  92. We get to be present before the Lord, and he is seated at the

  93. right hand of the Father. And so we'll go to heaven and be

  94. with him until he returns, and then we'll be with him when he

  95. returns. But it says the time is

  96. fulfilled. The Kingdom of God is at hand.

  97. That is the gospel. Then he goes on and says this.

  98. Now the gospel is the Kingdom of God.

  99. But there's a there's something necessary for you to have the

  100. gospel. Two things are required.

  101. Say two things. Two things are required.

  102. Say two things. Two things are required.

  103. Say two things. Two things.

  104. The first thing is repent. And repent is not a religious

  105. word. It means change your thinking.

  106. So you repent and believe. Repent and believe in the in

  107. what? What is the gospel?

  108. The Kingdom of God. Amen.

  109. So the gospel is the Kingdom of God of which Jesus is the King

  110. of the Kingdom. That's why the Bible says all

  111. who call on the name of the Lord cause Lord is supreme and

  112. authority. It's not a religious word.

  113. It means Jesus is the king of the Kingdom and for you to get

  114. in the Kingdom then you must believe that the payment Jesus

  115. paid. For your treason against the

  116. crown of the Father was made, and you're going to make him

  117. your supreme in authority. You're you are crucifying your

  118. life, your purpose, your will, your intent, your way of doing

  119. everything to submit fully and entirely to Him.

  120. And in order to do that, you're going to have to repent.

  121. Because to change your thinking. And then you believe in his

  122. finished work. In his finished work.

  123. I don't have to die in order to only get it by myself.

  124. I have to die to myself. But I have to die to myself and

  125. receive the blood that he shed for me.

  126. He made the payment. I could not get there on my own

  127. initiative. Are you hearing me?

  128. So repent is a big deal, I said. It's a big deal.

  129. It's not the gospel without repentance.

  130. It's not the new birth without repentance.

  131. Going to say that again, it's not the new birth without

  132. repentance. And you say, wait a minute now,

  133. I mean, they don't know anything about God who's lost and

  134. separated from they have to repent.

  135. They have to change their thinking that they can be right

  136. with God without God, without the finished work of Jesus.

  137. So someone who calls on the name of the Lord or believe that he

  138. died on the cross and rose from the grave, they already changed

  139. their thinking that they can get there without that.

  140. So they actually did a natural thing first.

  141. When I say natural, I'm saying they decided to take that

  142. thought. Now I understand the thought

  143. comes by revealing by the Spirit.

  144. So again, no man goes after God. No, not one.

  145. But once the Holy Spirit reveals to man's mind, Jesus is the only

  146. way and you know that you know in your mind.

  147. Now I can't do it my way. Then you change your thinking,

  148. and you then with your heart, with everything that you have

  149. with, I mean honestly, your spirit man's dead.

  150. At the moment you know you're confessing, Jesus's Lord.

  151. But that event, through the revealing of the spirit, that

  152. you can call on the name of the Lord to be saved, it will cause

  153. the spirit of the man that's dead to be evicted from this

  154. skin suit and you'll get a new creature in Christ.

  155. Are you hearing me? So repentance is key.

  156. Unfortunately, we think repentance is only a one time

  157. shot. Yet we'll see that that's not

  158. true. And that's chapter 17, verse 30.

  159. It says this, these are the disciples now going around

  160. fulfilling the Great Commission. And it says therefore, having

  161. overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring

  162. to all men that all people everywhere should.

  163. Repent repents a big deal. Got the gods.

  164. Word translation says that this way God overlooked the times

  165. when people didn't know any better, but now he commands

  166. everyone everywhere to turn to him and change the way they

  167. think and act and act. Acts 2620 Acts 2620.

  168. But declaring but but kept declaring both to those of

  169. Damascus first. And also at Jerusalem, and then

  170. throughout all the region of Judea and even to the Gentiles,

  171. that they should what repent, turn to God, performing deeds

  172. appropriate to repentance, Performing what deeds?

  173. Another word for deeds is works. Yep, the old dirty word in the

  174. church. Which is not a dirty word

  175. because doctrines of demons. Have attacked the church with

  176. the word work when the reality is just keep reading Ephesians

  177. 210, where everyone says it's not a work any less any man.

  178. It's not a man's work independent of God.

  179. That's what it means. But we are born again for the

  180. purpose of having good works, which means a lifestyle that now

  181. is in keeping. With repentance, the God's Word

  182. translation says that this way of Acts 2620, both groups were

  183. expected to change the way they thought and acted and turned to

  184. God. I told them to do things that

  185. prove they have changed their lives.

  186. We have reduced being born again to a God only event and there is

  187. no man side. And that once we're born again,

  188. we still do nothing. Which is not a true statement

  189. because the Bible doesn't support it, and the early church

  190. knew this very well, of which Jesus himself understood this.

  191. I said Jesus himself understood this.

  192. Jesus never expected for us to be born again and never change

  193. the way we think. So that our thinking would be in

  194. line with this new spirit that we are.

  195. Are you hearing me? So again, the problem is, is

  196. that you and I have already been instructed by the Holy Ghost.

  197. So this is in our advantage and and you need to understand it's

  198. to your advantage because there's many places that are

  199. only dealing with the Spirit side.

  200. What I mean by that is that what Jesus could only do.

  201. And then put in you at your confession, which is a new

  202. creature in Christ. Your spirit is perfect, but

  203. you're not just a spirit. And so anytime you take the

  204. Bible and only deal and try to take the spiritual thing that

  205. has taken place in us and apply it to our soul realm, you're

  206. going to get off. And apply it to your body realm.

  207. You're going to get off. No one would believe that your

  208. body now is eternal. None of us believe that.

  209. Nobody believes that you're going to live forever.

  210. Yet in the spirit you do right in our spirit, like our spirits

  211. alive will always be with the Lord.

  212. Yeah, but your body's not. You're going to get a glorified

  213. body, and that is an accepted truth across the board.

  214. But what's not accepted is what's going on in the soul.

  215. Because many are attaching the Spirit and saying the spirit and

  216. the soul are one and they're not one.

  217. I said they're not one. The Bible clearly communicates

  218. there is a difference between your soul and a spirit.

  219. Now in the Old Testament, you're not going to hear these things.

  220. You're not going to have that conversation.

  221. So again, they go back into the Old Testament say, well, it's

  222. the heart. It's the heart.

  223. It's talking about the spirit of the man.

  224. The spirit of the man was dead in the old covenant, which means

  225. it only listened to the soul. And it did everything from a

  226. soul perspective because that's all it could.

  227. When Adam ate the fruit, he was limited to his five senses and

  228. he tried to worship God the best he could with all this soul.

  229. It was only those that had experienced the Spirit upon that

  230. began to access some things concerning the spirit, even

  231. though their spirit man was dead.

  232. Are you hearing me? So there was a plausibility.

  233. It was possible for man to be righteous even though his spirit

  234. was dead in that dispensation, but in the new one?

  235. In the new one, it lets us know there's a difference because

  236. once we got born again, it did not change our mind.

  237. That's right, didn't change our mind.

  238. Just like it did not make us put on a glorified body immediately.

  239. That is a future event. When it comes to our soul realm,

  240. we have the responsibility. I love what Pastor John George

  241. said very clearly. I'm going to apply to us all, he

  242. said. You know, parents, it's God's

  243. responsibility to save your child's spirit.

  244. It's your responsibility to help save their soul.

  245. Well, that applies individually to us.

  246. God saved our spirit. He's responsible for saving our

  247. spirit. It's our responsibility to save

  248. our soul. And the Bible talks about the

  249. saving of the soul. So the minute we're born again,

  250. that doesn't mean our mind's right.

  251. And and nowhere does it mean that God allows your mind to

  252. continue to be wrong and he's OK with it in essence.

  253. Really, what the gospel tells us is that if you'll change your

  254. thinking, you'll be able to access the Kingdom constantly.

  255. So I'm going to put in you a Your spirit is going to be right

  256. with God and right standing with the king.

  257. Then I'll put him in there as well, meaning the Holy Ghost

  258. who's going to teach you Kingdom stuff so that now your mind can

  259. think and respond like the King of the Kingdom.

  260. And you have that responsibility to hear from the great teacher

  261. that lives on the inside and that he will enlighten you.

  262. He would illuminate. He would reveal to you God's

  263. will that now you actually have the power to say soul, you're

  264. going to change the way you think about this.

  265. You're fixing to change the way you feel about this right now.

  266. You don't control me anymore. You know, up to this point, the

  267. soul realm controlled man. Man was led by his sight.

  268. That is a sense in the soul realm.

  269. But now we're not led by our sight.

  270. We're led by faith or the word of God.

  271. We have something happening on the inside that we're led by

  272. that We come back up to our soul realm and we say this is how

  273. we're going to respond. Now are you hearing me?

  274. So we know. And 1st Thessalonia is 523.

  275. I'm just going to quote him for you.

  276. He said that that man would to be blameless until the return of

  277. Jesus in his spirit, soul and body.

  278. So first that's alone is 523. You can write that down South.

  279. You can study this for yourself. Or remind yourself that we are a

  280. spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body.

  281. Then in Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12 says the word of God is

    Hebrews 4:12

  282. living in active sharper than any two Ed sword able to Pierce

  283. between joint and marrow soul and spirit.

  284. So the only thing that can can let you know what is a feeling

  285. and what is spirit is the word of God.

  286. Which tells us that there are plenty of born again believers,

  287. but if they're not in the word, they can still be led by their

  288. soul and not the spirit, because you have to learn of the spirit

  289. in order to be led by the Spirit, and the spirit don't

  290. care how you feel. Now when I say that, that's not

  291. like he's insensitive. Or that he doesn't care.

  292. I'm just saying if he gives you a direction, even though in the

  293. natural it may cause many people to be fearful, it may cause many

  294. people to want to cry. I mean I, you know, I don't know

  295. what the situation is. I'm just throwing out some

  296. examples. In essence, he's like you just

  297. need to follow this and don't go based upon the way you feel

  298. because my word works. And you can change.

  299. Say, well, I'm, I'm not going to feel that way.

  300. I'm going to feel the way the spirit's telling me to feel.

  301. And a lot of times he'll have you feel joy.

  302. Another thing he'll do is have you feel peace.

  303. Are you hearing me? And so you'll you'll sense peace

  304. in your spirit, and you'll put it over your soul realm and say,

  305. well, I'm going to walk in this piece instead of being fearful.

  306. So did Jesus know this word repent meant something?

  307. Well again we opened up in Mark one that it says after John was

  308. put into prison, Jesus came preaching.

  309. Well what did John preach? John the Baptist?

  310. Well it's in Matthew chapter 3. In Matthew chapter 3 verse 2,

Matthew 3 chapter mention Matthew 3:2

  311. John the Baptist preached repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at

  312. hand. Now what is that?

  313. It's the gospel. Thank you.

  314. One person's got it. We've we left the scripture and

  315. we've already forgotten what the gospel is.

  316. Let's change our thinking. The gospel is not Jesus Christ

  317. out on the cross and rose from their dead.

  318. That is the way into the gospel. It's the way into the gospel.

  319. You know, cause honestly, it's not good news that Jesus died.

  320. You know, we called it Good Friday, but by all rights, it

  321. wasn't a good day. It wasn't a good day.

  322. I mean, it was a it was a sorrowful day.

  323. It was sorrowful for the Father. I mean, it was it was painful

  324. for Jesus. But Jesus had a different

  325. mindset because the Bible tells us in Hebrews for the joy set

  326. before him, he endured the cross.

  327. So when he looked at the cross, he saw it as a joyful

  328. experience, although his body was in extreme pain.

  329. Are you hearing me? So by all rights, it's not good

  330. to die. But he had to die so that we

  331. could get into the good place. Because if I had never eaten a

  332. fruit, we wouldn't have this problem, right?

  333. And if we hadn't send ourselves, we wouldn't have this problem.

  334. But we did. And so Jesus pays the price so

  335. that we can come in. So repent, Mitch means change.

  336. Your thinking is what John priests.

  337. And did John know what he was saying when he said repent?

  338. Yes, jump down to verse 8. And if you don't think Jesus was

  339. around hearing this or knowing this, then you would be mistaken

  340. because you understand John is only related to Jesus.

  341. And where do you think John got his message from?

  342. Jesus called John the greatest prophet.

  343. He said he was the greatest. No miracles are having it.

  344. He's the greatest preacher got a prophet.

  345. Why? Well, he's announcing the king.

  346. He's anowing. This is the fulfillment of the

  347. fulfillment of time. This is where the good news is

  348. finally made available for people to access back in the

  349. planet that you don't have to wait to go to heaven.

  350. This is what God was always wanting.

  351. He's wanting to get it back and he's getting it back to us.

  352. Still not in Eric as it originally was, because our soul

  353. and our body's going to be perfect as well.

  354. But he's definitely getting where he's among men, because

  355. Jesus means Emmanuel, God with us, not man's coming to God.

  356. God wanted to come to us, He wanted to be in us.

  357. And he don't want to wait for you to go to heaven to have a

  358. relationship. He wants to come and have his

  359. abode with you now, and he's not concerned that you're in a

  360. simple world still, because once you get right with him, that

  361. stuff don't have anything to do with you.

  362. He's delivered you from that. He's, he's taking you out of the

  363. law of sin and death. He's redeemed you.

  364. He's put a spirit in you that has that doesn't want to sin or

  365. be rebellious to the Father ever again.

  366. And then he puts the Holy Ghost in you that says, now let's get

  367. your mind right so that you can act and have the Kingdom

  368. functioning in your life all the time because it's really not

  369. about when you go to heaven. Heaven came to you.

  370. Hallelujah, man. That's good news, such good

  371. news. And so he knew that if we

  372. repented, then there's going to be a evidence that's going to

  373. follow. And he says, John says this

  374. therefore bear fruit in keeping with repentance.

  375. Now, he was obviously talking to some religious people that knew

  376. the Word. They had access to the Word, and

  377. yet they were manipulating the Word so they could live their

  378. way of living. Instead, this is how we're going

  379. to use God's word so that this can be our lifestyle.

  380. We're going to manipulate God's Word to justify our lifestyle

  381. and say we're right with God. I'm telling you, this is worse

  382. than a unbeliever not even knowing scripture, trying to

  383. live right for God. It's not working.

  384. But you know, they don't even have the excuse of knowing the

  385. Word. These guys here, they knew the

  386. Word, they had access to it and and they were in the environment

  387. where the Spirit of God would come upon the priest in order to

  388. rightly divide it and see it with clarity.

  389. And yet they were rejecting that, so that they could

  390. maintain fruit that was not from the Kingdom.

  391. But John calls them out. On this he calls them out, he

  392. said, Now, therefore bear fruit, in keeping with a change of

  393. thinking. Are you hearing me so the

  394. passion of this verse, Matthew 38, says it this way.

  395. You must prove your repentance by a changed life.

  396. Amen. Now, just for the sake of

  397. record, I'm not saying that the minute you get born again,

  398. you're going to do everything right.

  399. Obviously you're not. You're going to be a babe in

  400. Christ and you're going to make mistake.

  401. But you know even a baby will keep coming to milk.

  402. That's what babies do. They come to milk.

  403. They keep coming to milk. They're not going to reject

  404. milk. Now, if you get born again and

  405. then you never come to milk, well, then you're probably not

  406. born again, which means you had a confession with your mouth,

  407. but your heart was far from it. Because you can't tell me you're

  408. right with God if I'm begging you to get to milk, right?

  409. I mean, honestly, I love what Pastor Darryl Huffman says.

  410. He says I got born again for life.

  411. This wasn't like until the first problem came, until the first

  412. issue took place. And I wasn't trying him.

  413. You know what He's No one's begging him.

  414. No one begged him. I mean, many of you, you're not.

  415. No one's begging you. You're just like this is what I

  416. do, cause I'm alive to God. And that is what babes do.

  417. Babes know somebody that is with me now who has begotten me has

  418. got some milk somewhere. And get me to the milk.

  419. Hallelujah. The contemporary English version

  420. says this. Do something to show that you

  421. have really given up your sins. Do something.

  422. Hallelujah. The God God's word says it this

  423. way to do those things that prove you have turned to God and

  424. have changed the way you think and act again.

  425. A righteous man may fall, but he gets up.

  426. I said he gets up at the end of the day, may fall 7th, but he

  427. gets up nowhere. Am I preaching perfection?

  428. What I'm preaching is develop maturity.

  429. You know what's what's amazing to me is that people will make

  430. all kind of excuses not. To be with God and act like

  431. they're still with God, it's just amazing.

  432. Why? Because have they really

  433. repented? You know, again, when we sell

  434. Jesus as you couldn't do anything and just ask him to

  435. come into your heart and save you.

  436. Then when you die, you know you're going to go to heaven

  437. because it doesn't really matter what you do after that, God

  438. loves you anyway. In essence, we're endorsing

  439. something other than what Jesus called the gospel.

  440. You know, if someone ever said, well, I just want to come to

  441. church, you know, because I want to come, You know, I don't want

  442. to have to be made, you know, because you know, one thing that

  443. we do here at Anchor a church, if you're going to partner with

  444. a vision, again, we have 40 people lined up for supportive

  445. ministry and they're going to be, they're assigned now

  446. somewhere. Part of the responsibility of

  447. serving is that you actually have to attend church.

  448. You don't serve and then don't come to church, right.

  449. So again, well, you know, I I want to come just because I want

  450. to come. I don't want to come because I

  451. have to serve. Well, first of all, you

  452. obviously don't know Jesus because Jesus would ask you to

  453. serve. So serving should come out of

  454. your heart. So if you already felt like

  455. you're being made, then I'm asking the question, are you

  456. right with God? Because if we only can show up

  457. when we're scheduled, then you've made it work.

  458. Not me. I mean, I say we're a job, let's

  459. put it out. You made it a job.

  460. You know, everybody goes to A to a job when they're scheduled.

  461. And you know how many people go to a job and they don't want to

  462. go? And then they'll say, well, you

  463. know, I want to go to church when I want to because I don't

  464. feel like I have to. Well, you have to go to job and

  465. you go to job and the job didn't die for you, the job didn't.

  466. The money you're making from the job will not save your life from

  467. eternal damnation. It will not heal your body.

  468. I don't care how good your insurance is, the insurance you

  469. have does not cover every condition.

  470. Even if you're going through cancer, it can't heal cancer.

  471. It can just pay for the treatments and your retirement.

  472. I mean, I'm glad you got this great 401K, but at the end of

  473. the day, what's going to happen? Yeah.

  474. You know, I mean, many people go to jobs they don't want to go

  475. to. Well, yeah, you should come to

  476. church because you want to, which is pretty simple.

  477. I mean, it's an easy overflow. Hallelujah.

  478. Thank you, Jesus. That's why you know the hired

  479. employees that we have here. I mean that's like no brainer.

  480. I mean you're hired because your vision partner and you come to

  481. church and if you don't want to come to church but you do want

  482. to come to work, there's a problem.

  483. I mean, that's like just a natural overflow.

  484. It's not a forcing, it's an overflow of a heart to serve a

  485. vision. And then God pays you as well to

  486. do a part of it. I mean, how exciting is that,

  487. right? Yeah.

  488. It's like, wow, this is amazing. Amen.

  489. Well, I feel like I have to go. That's that's your problem.

  490. It's not. It's not.

  491. It's not my problem. I love to do what God wants to

  492. do. I love to be in His presence.

  493. I love to serve His church. I love to serve Him because I

  494. have a lifestyle in keeping with repentance.

  495. Did I do God's word already? OK, let's do amplified.

  496. Amplified. Matthew 38 says it this way.

  497. So produce fruit that is consistent with repentance,

  498. demonstrating new behavior that proves a change of heart and a

  499. conscious decision to turn away from sin.

  500. Why would Jesus call us into his Kingdom and then keep us in a

  501. position where we have we lack power of community?

  502. I mean, there's nowhere in Scripture that individuality or

  503. let's put independence is what God was looking for.

  504. Let me just say it this way. There's actually no in scripture

  505. that literally constitutes A singular thinking of personal

  506. Savior. God never intended to have one

  507. son. God was never gonna have one.

  508. Never. And it's from the first pages.

  509. Let us make man in our image according to our likeness.

  510. I'm gonna pull out of that man or woman, and then they gonna

  511. multiply. They're gonna produce God's

  512. seeds. Kingly seeds the whole race.

  513. When Adam falls from dominion, the Lord's likes the seed.

  514. A man's corrupt now, so I got to get a different seed in the

  515. woman because I'm looking for a community.

  516. I'm not looking for one person here.

  517. So when he gets into covenant with Abram, what's he say?

  518. He says. Abram, I'm gonna make a covenant

  519. with you, and I'm gonna call you Abra Ham, which is known as the

  520. father of of what many nations not I just want.

  521. Through you to get Jesus. So I could personally be with

  522. people individually. I don't want them to know each

  523. other and interact with one another.

  524. I don't even want them to get along.

  525. I want them for me and me alone. So what I'm going to do in

  526. eternity. I'm going to line them up and

  527. I'm just going to have one dance before me and sings praises to

  528. me, You know tell me how awesome I am.

  529. You know I'm tired of hearing their voice.

  530. I'll send them out and I'll bring the other one.

  531. They won't know each other because eternity's big.

  532. You understand that you've I'm letting you know with the

  533. universe is really large and I can put y'all in different

  534. places. That you never have to be around

  535. anyone. That's not the case.

  536. The only reason why people don't want to connect is because they

  537. don't want to change their thinking.

  538. Hallelujah. No repentance means all right,

  539. I'll just follow God completely however he wants and what that

  540. looks like. Amen.

  541. And I realized the brother to my left and the sister to my right,

  542. they're working things out. They're growing.

  543. They're having to change their thinking constantly so that

  544. their behavior will be reflective of not a person who

  545. sins. And I realized sometimes they're

  546. not going to make it, but I'm going to be there to encourage

  547. them, strengthen them, tell them let's go get on up.

  548. I'm not going to say, you know what, I couldn't do it either.

  549. Let's go back and live like we used to.

  550. I mean, honestly, the world's really wanting you to

  551. demonstrate it. When I say that, you just live

  552. it. And they're like, why you go to

  553. church all the time? Why are you reading the Bible

  554. all the time? Why are you praying?

  555. I'm going to say all the time. It's not literally all the time,

  556. but you understand so much so that they notice, Are you

  557. hearing me that they associate you with that?

  558. You know, I I never hear you cuss.

  559. I you never talk about anybody at work.

  560. Are you hearing me? Amen.

  561. That this behavior becomes so different because they're like,

  562. yeah, well, you know my relationship with Jesus.

  563. Well, I know plenty of people who have said they have a

  564. relationship with Jesus, but they live like I do.

  565. Well, I don't believe that's what God intended.

  566. Because again, as we said in prayer, God never intended us to

  567. be relevant to the world. They expected us to be different

  568. because they're in darkness. And when we're different, we'll

  569. actually be in light, and they'll be drawn to the light,

  570. not to our sameness. God changed me.

  571. Repent means to change one's mind.

  572. It means to change one's mind for the better.

  573. I mean, when your spirit man wasn't better before, God

  574. Correct. So why when we get born again,

  575. we think our minds better just because he's in us now, It's not

  576. better because we can still think the same way.

  577. And you see many people that are born again get mad cuss, you

  578. know, back, bite, lie. Even still fornicate.

  579. Still fornicate. It's mind blowing.

  580. Well, you know, I just believe the Lord wants me to be around

  581. them because he's going to use me to get them right.

  582. So you sleep with them on the weekend and then bring them to

  583. church. I don't understand this.

  584. You don't understand. We're online.

  585. So I got to talk about outside this house.

  586. I mean, it's amazing how many people will justify when the

  587. Holy Ghost will have conversation and it's like, hey,

  588. let's change our thinking about how this relationship goes.

  589. Because guess what, the Holy Spirit who happens to know the

  590. beginning from the end could literally say.

  591. Man, I'm sure glad you're in the Kingdom now, but you're going to

  592. let this one go. What?

  593. Yeah, you're gonna need to let them go.

  594. This is not the relationship for you.

  595. I've been with him for five years.

  596. I love. Yeah, you lusted after them.

  597. It's really what was going on. You were led by your emotions

  598. here, but now you're alive. I know this is hard to your

  599. emotions, but put on my piece is going to be all right.

  600. I got somebody better. And how many people married the

  601. wrong person because they won't renew their mind and let God

  602. bring the right person? Joseph Benson, who's the

  603. commentary for Scripture, says this for repentance not only

  604. implies sorrow for sin or sincerely wishing it undone, but

  605. a change of mind and a reformation of life.

  606. So again, repent. Never meant to not actually

  607. change the way you live now. It did not mean I feel sorry for

  608. my sin. Come into my heart and save me.

  609. I can't do anything better and I'm never going to be great.

  610. I'm never do it. I'm never going to be perfect.

  611. The Bible never asked you to be perfect.

  612. It asked you to be mature. And you can be mature.

  613. And a mature person will not willfully sin or make excuses

  614. for sinning, nor make excuses to stay offended.

  615. Won't do that. Aren't you glad that you don't

  616. do that? Aren't you glad that you don't

  617. do that? I was hoping to be a little bit

  618. louder. Aren't you glad you don't do

  619. that? OK, say it in faith then.

  620. God has empowered us with the greater one, and I don't have to

  621. do that. I get to resist sin.

  622. I get to put it down. I get to take every thought

  623. captive. I actually have control of what

  624. I'm thinking about. This is awesome.

  625. Hallelujah. So Romans 12/2 says it this way.

  626. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the

  627. renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of

  628. God is, that which is good, acceptable and perfect.

  629. The Bible and basic English says it this way.

  630. And let not your behavior be like that of this world, but be

  631. changed and made new in mind, so that by experience you may have

  632. knowledge of the good and pleasing and complete purpose of

  633. God. Now notice Romans is directly

  634. saying if your mind's being renewed, it's your

  635. responsibility now it's not without God's help.

  636. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying you're getting

  637. this on your own. I'm saying as you're reading and

  638. studying the word, because again, Jesus said go and make

  639. disciples. So again, when we're selling the

  640. good news, when we are preaching the good news, when we're

  641. communicating the good news, when we're trying to convince

  642. people about the good news and the good news is the Kingdom.

  643. OK, what we're saying to them is that, hey, there's a whole

  644. nother way to live, whole another way to live, and you

  645. can't get in it by yourself. You're going to have to believe

  646. on the finished work of Jesus. But once you're in, then he's

  647. going to deposit in you a spirit that wants to obey dad and put

  648. his own spirit in you so that you can be taught.

  649. And then he's going to reveal scripture to you to help clean

  650. your mind up. So you'll quit thinking like

  651. you're thinking this is really awesome.

  652. We have a personal tutor. Amen.

  653. Now a tutor comes alongside things that are already teaching

  654. us. So the Holy Ghost does two

  655. things. Number one, he is the great

  656. teacher, don't get me wrong. But what I mean by that is he

  657. does allow, because God wanted it this way, the fivefold

  658. ministry to equip the Saints, and through the fivefold

  659. ministry, who are actually being led by the spirit and not

  660. popularity and preaching what God wants to be preached.

  661. OK, then when you're hearing that truth, then your spirit

  662. will say, now that's what I'm talking about.

  663. And you're receiving it not as the word of men, but what it

  664. really is, the word of God. You just happen to hear it

  665. through the voice of the gift, that's all.

  666. You understand what I'm saying and there are many things the

  667. Holy Spirit wants to teach you through the gift.

  668. Why? Because he never wanted you to

  669. have a personal assignment with him alone.

  670. Because when the Scripture says in Hebrews you don't need man to

  671. teach you anymore, that has. That's in reference to how the

  672. old covenant was, is that you could only learn through those

  673. that had the anointing on, but now you have an anointing and

  674. that anointing now will actually let.

  675. You're not only subject to what they say because they say it,

  676. you actually, I will actually verify that what they're saying

  677. is true. So truth is being spoken.

  678. And you know what's funny about those individuals that actually

  679. grab that scripture? And I'm kind of complain about

  680. that position, you know? Or you know, they're like, I

  681. don't need anyone to teach me, but they always want somebody to

  682. listen to them. They're the ones that are on

  683. social media trying to teach everybody.

  684. Wait a minute, you said it. Why are you even talking?

  685. Since you learned this truth that you don't need anybody to

  686. teach you, you should just be quiet.

  687. You should cease to be heard. Why are you violating your own

  688. belief by trying to teach somebody that?

  689. Why are you trying to teach somebody that the Holy Ghost, to

  690. teach them that so he doesn't need you?

  691. Since we're thinking, Amen. I'm just so thankful for the

  692. Holy Ghost. You know, because he does.

  693. He. He's.

  694. He won't let you get duped up. He won't let you get, you know,

  695. drug along. I mean, at the end of the day,

  696. he will help you out along the way.

  697. Amen. Thank you, Jesus.

  698. All right, so Romans 12/2. In the complete contemporary

  699. English version, it says don't be like the people of this

  700. world, but let God change the way you think.

  701. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and

  702. pleasing to him. The Good News Bible says this,

  703. says it this way. Do not conform yourself to the

  704. standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a

  705. complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know

  706. the will of God, what is good and pleasing to him and it's

  707. perfect. Now every one of these

  708. scriptures so far they are saying if you don't let God

  709. renew your mind, it's impossible for you to be in his will.

  710. Now you can be born again and be completely out of the will of

  711. God. So being born again is access to

  712. the will of God. It is God's will that all would

  713. repent. That all would what?

  714. Where's that at? Somebody looked that.

  715. Script real quick for me and tell me where it's at.

  716. Well, I don't know all y'all shouting at me, but you know

  717. what it is. The one where Jesus the Lord

  718. says you know the Father desires that none would perish, but that

  719. all would repent. Second what?

  720. OK, yeah, I still didn't hear it.

  721. Hold on second. What?

  722. Peter? Second Peter, let me get.

  723. There where you at OK 3 niner. It's military.

  724. The Lord is slow, is not slow about his promises.

  725. As some counts slowness, but is patient towards you, not wishing

  726. for any to perish but for all to come to salvation.

  727. No, doesn't say that, does it? And that.

  728. Interesting. So this scripture is not a

  729. scripture, only about being born again.

  730. We use this all the time just as a born again scripture.

  731. What God desires at known would perish, right?

  732. But look what He says. The Lord is not slow about his

  733. What now? Who in the world has access to

  734. the promises of God? Only the covenant kids, as some

  735. count slowness, but is patient towards you.

  736. My goodness, are you hearing what I'm saying right now?

  737. So again, we believe in God. He's not slow on his promises,

  738. but he's patient towards us, not wishing to any what that none of

  739. us would perish. My people perish due to lack of

  740. knowledge. They're covenant people that are

  741. perishing are not receiving what God has for them, and it's

  742. because they don't change their thinking in order to receive it.

  743. They're living like the world who doesn't have access to it.

  744. So God doesn't want any of us to perish or not have the promises

  745. through to the lack of not renewing our minds.

  746. Now anyone could access. Can I move this over to a lost

  747. person? Sure.

  748. Because in order to get born again you have to 1st repent and

  749. believe the gospel. Or that Jesus is king of the

  750. Kingdom, he is Lord, he is ruler, and his death Baron

  751. Resurrection was the payment for you to get in.

  752. But then once you're in then he's always wanting to renew

  753. your mind. Change your thinking, change

  754. your thinking, change your thinking, change your thinking,

  755. change your about every situation that's going on in

  756. life. He wants to change your

  757. thinking. And some of the worst thinking

  758. to change is the religious. And I get it.

  759. I mean it's all in there. Hallelujah.

  760. But if you're willing to actually take time to go

  761. through, you'll find yourself adjusting, and you won't allow

  762. the accepted majority to be your response, even if it comes from

  763. whole denominations. Amen.

  764. Hallelujah, the message says. Don't become so well adjusted to

  765. your culture that you fit into it without even thinking what.

  766. Let me just say this. You may walk in the place and

  767. you look the same as a human, but when they get around you, it

  768. shouldn't be long for them to realize you are not the same.

  769. And let me just say this, if you're doing it right, then you

  770. know what? Even the lost will talk to you.

  771. Now, some won't. Because if if they get convicted

  772. by your presence and you're living and you're talking, well,

  773. then they will isolate themselves from you.

  774. There's nothing you can do about because they're doing that to

  775. Jesus, are you hearing me? But on the other side, there are

  776. others that their lifestyles completely off and they will

  777. still talk to you. There's not a person nowhere I

  778. go that I cannot engage in conversation, period.

  779. If they personally ask me my belief, I will personally tell

  780. them and that doesn't hinder my ability to talk to them.

  781. Now it may hinder their ability to talk to me, but it won't

  782. hinder me because you're sin, especially the world.

  783. The world's going to send nobody that's in.

  784. I mean, I you're sin and I I can't stop it.

  785. So there's really no reason for me to harp on you about

  786. changing. I just might as well live this

  787. life so that you will want this life.

  788. And then I'll say, you know, you'll have to change your life.

  789. Now. It's easy God to help you first

  790. spiritually and then boom, we'll get it through the renewing of

  791. mine after that. Pretty simple.

  792. So the things that I preach in church are a lot different than

  793. when I'm in front of the world, right?

  794. So if you're sitting here assuming that if I go to a

  795. restaurant and then I'm telling people about their sin and

  796. calling it out, I'm not doing that, none of us should do that.

  797. I mean, I actually have waiters and waitresses that are in

  798. fornication relationships, adulterous relationships,

  799. homosexual relationships, and I tip them really great because

  800. I'm not appealing to their sin. I'm showing them the goodness of

  801. God. They can't help it.

  802. I mean, when Christian like, oh, I can't believe you're doing,

  803. you know what? I'm not going to.

  804. That's so silly. God died for that.

  805. Now if you tell me you're a brother and you're sleeping with

  806. somebody, I'll still tip you good and tell you you need to

  807. get out of relationship cause you know better.

  808. It's a different conversation, but what do people do?

  809. They want to take the everyone's lost mentality and apply it all

  810. the way across the board to where we don't even hold our own

  811. brethren accountable when Jesus says I'll judge the house first,

  812. he said. You can judge your brother,

  813. you're definitely going to look at their fruit.

  814. You're definitely going to have to live up to a standard because

  815. if you've repented then there's a lifestyle that I make a demand

  816. to happen and the reason why, John said.

  817. Why don't you have a lifestyle in keeping with repentance?

  818. Since you're acting like you know God and that's what he's

  819. saying. He sure didn't say it to

  820. everyone else. John never told another person.

  821. Why don't you have a lifestyle keeping with offensives?

  822. You know why? Because when those people got

  823. right, they lived right. Wow, they lived right.

  824. Who did Jesus have conflict with?

  825. He sure wasn't walking around telling, you know, everyone that

  826. was all out and sin. I mean, now he talked about it.

  827. The Kingdom of God is like he's letting them know.

  828. I mean, he's having conversations, but he's not in

  829. the dispensation of his church. But don't think the head of the

  830. church isn't conversing. I mean, the woman at the well is

  831. a great example. Don't think he let that go.

  832. Nor did he let the woman go. Called an adultery.

  833. He didn't let that go. And and and many, we don't even

  834. know their sin. But once he healed them, he's go

  835. in sin no more. We just don't know the details

  836. of what they were doing. But he sure was an advocate for

  837. it. But now the people who say they

  838. knew him, that conversation sounded different.

  839. So you, I can't sit here and you and again let me just say it

  840. this way. If you're bringing a guest that

  841. you know is not born again, you need to let them know, man, our

  842. pastor, now he talks to us as believer so that we stay, right.

  843. You know, cause God wants us to live this life, right.

  844. So you're going to hear some things that that you know unless

  845. you're born again, you just can't even do that.

  846. At least be wise enough to inform them, because at the end

  847. of the day, I'm. I'm not supposed to be the

  848. greatest evangelist you are. Your life should be getting them

  849. born again at work. Which means then once they come

  850. in and they'll want the milk, they'll be like like many of you

  851. have done. Wow, this is so good.

  852. It's life changing. I've never heard anything like

  853. that because your spirit man is hungry for it.

  854. The Holy Spirit saying is truth and you start renewing your

  855. mind. I just told to someone during

  856. prayer that was like I was in a place a pastor was preaching.

  857. They said now repeat this. And when they repeated me and

  858. the other person looked at each other like we can't say that

  859. because it's not biblical. How do they know that?

  860. Because the Holy Ghost says you can't say that.

  861. That's not even scriptural. I don't care if the preacher

  862. saying it and can I just say this.

  863. I have preached for almost. I have preached almost 3

  864. decades. I have preached a lot of

  865. messages. I would love to tell you that I

  866. never failed to say a word right when I preach.

  867. Sometimes I do. Sometimes the word comes out and

  868. it wasn't the right word and I don't catch it till later.

  869. I mean, if you know the person's character and you're believing

  870. the best, then you're not looking for one word to fail.

  871. Basic. You know who was looking for one

  872. word of a failure? The Pharisees.

  873. All the Pharisees waiting to hear give me just getting to say

  874. one thing so I can discredit everything he does.

  875. And we kill him, kill him. We don't kill him.

  876. So don't be coming up in here looking for one word so that you

  877. can try to justify. So funny.

  878. Just walk in love, man. Thank you, Jesus Okay.

  879. Let me go back to the message because we have communion today,

  880. because communion reminds me that I'm different.

  881. He changed me and I just. I just want us to be a community

  882. of believers that actually live heaven on earth.

  883. Is that Is that wrong? Is that such a lofty goal?

  884. That you would just desire that everyone who says that Jesus's

  885. Lord is that we would actually really love one another as the

  886. word says, not as we say. That we really forgive each

  887. other as the word says, not as we say.

  888. Is it too much to ask? It's not.

  889. It's only too much to ask. If you don't want to change your

  890. behavior but go to heaven, then it's too much.

  891. To ask, and I get it, and this is not your church.

  892. This is not your church, because that's not his church.

  893. But it's definitely for those who want what's on the inside to

  894. come out in the way they think and behave and talk.

  895. Because it's your king. He knew you couldn't get to him

  896. anyway, and despite all that, he still died for you.

  897. And then he says, now let me help clean up your mind, because

  898. it was really a mess in there. And we're like, don't touch my

  899. mind, just Remember Me when I die because I like what I was

  900. doing. No message.

  901. Don't. Become so well adjusted to your

  902. culture that you fit into it without even thinking.

  903. Instead, fix your attention on God.

  904. You'll be changed from the inside out, readily recognized

  905. that he wants what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.

  906. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its

  907. level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops

  908. well formed maturity in you. Wow.

  909. How powerful is that? The passion says it this way.

  910. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the cultural around

  911. you, but be inwardly. Transformed by the Holy Spirit

  912. through a total reformation of how you think.

  913. This will empower you to discern God's will as you live a

  914. beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.

  915. Last Scripture I'm going to turn you to as an Ephesians chapter

    Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  916. 4. Again, we need to think again,

  917. God. Caused us to become children of

  918. God, our children of the king, so that we could think again

  919. like kings. Because God gave us our dominion

  920. back. He never gave us a salvation

  921. that we're holding on and just stuck living like everybody else

  922. and subject to all the passions and temptations and.

  923. And handling the situation is just like everybody else, you

  924. know. And at the end, if we just hold

  925. on good enough, you know, at the end of the day, we're going to

  926. go and it's going to be way better there.

  927. That was never God's intent. His intent was to get you born

  928. again, so that you could become, have dominion, so you could

  929. function as a king, so that he could bring heaven to you, in

  930. and through in you and through you, and then change your whole

  931. system of thinking of how to operate.

  932. How to handle everything in life so that then the world would be

  933. drawn to you because they would truly, clearly see you're not of

  934. this world. Wow, We're not of this world.

  935. We're not. Subject to it anymore, but it

  936. takes our effort to change. If he's in chapter 4, verse 22

  937. to 24, is this that in reference to your former manner of life,

  938. you lay aside the old self? Which is being corrupted in

  939. accordance with the lust of this of deceit, and that you be

  940. renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new.

  941. Self which is in the likeness of God, and has been created in

  942. righteousness and holiness and truth.

  943. The Passion says it this way. And he has taught you to let go

  944. of the lifestyle of the ancient man, the old self life which was

  945. corrupted by sinful and deceitful desires that spring

  946. from delusions. Now it's time to be made new by

  947. every revelation that's been given to you, and to be

  948. transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ within, as you

  949. as your new life, and live in union with him.

  950. For God has recreated you all over again in his perfect

  951. righteousness, and now, and you now belong to him in the realm

  952. of true holiness. Well, that should be lived out

  953. in our lifestyle. And here's the thing.

  954. There's no excuse for it to not, since our spirit man is that

  955. right with God is that alive to God is is not wanting to sin.

  956. Ever, ever. It never choose it.

  957. Our spirit never chooses sin. Our spirit never chooses sin.

  958. It's never its choice. It's never its choice to respond

  959. in the flesh. It's never its choice.

  960. And as you train your mind, your soul to hear in your spirit, in

  961. your inner man, then you can always side with the spirit of

  962. God in every situation and produce that fruit every time.

  963. And that amazing the message says it this way.

  964. But that's no life for you. You learn Christ.

  965. My assumption is that you paid careful attention to him, then

  966. well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in

  967. Jesus. Since then we do not, do not

  968. have the excuse of ignorance. Everything, and I do mean

  969. everything connected with that old way of life has to go.

  970. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it, and even take on

  971. an entirely new way of life, a godfashioned life, a life

  972. renewed from the inside, working itself into your conduct as God

  973. accurately reproduces his character in you.

  974. Say I have the character of God. Say I have the character of God.

  975. Say I have the character of God. Because the spirit in you is

  976. going to change your thinking. If you allow it.
