  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. I want to.

  4. Finish up what we started on Sunday Amen Pastor actually

  5. started this when he ministered on May to display and we as

  6. God's children are to be displaying right righteousness

  7. and if there's ever an hour that we're living.

  8. People need to see on display the righteousness of God.

  9. People need to see the proper image of who Christ is.

  10. And we talked about this Sunday that the world.

  11. I'm telling you, the world, even the world, gets mixed up about

  12. who Jesus really is because so many Christians have decided

  13. they're going to choose the image of Christ that they want.

  14. And we're not reflecting Christ completely in the image of him.

  15. If we begin to pick and choose what we decide we like about the

  16. image, right? And So what happens?

  17. People get a distorted view of who He is.

  18. People get a a reflection of who he is that is completely wrong.

  19. And so we as believers have a responsibility to reflect him

  20. properly. And righteousness, we know means

  21. right standing, right standing with the governing authority.

  22. We know that when we are talking about living in a righteous

  23. life, then what are we doing? We are living right according to

  24. the word of God, because the word of God is the final

  25. authority in our life. Amen.

  26. We know and pastor said this that we are from Matthew 633,

  27. right to seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness,

  28. seek first his Kingdom and seek His righteousness.

  29. And so the problem is, is there's a lot of people that

  30. will say, well, I'm already made righteous in Christ, and I agree

  31. you are. If you're truly born again, you

  32. have been what? Made righteous, made righteous.

  33. So then why does he tell us that we still need to seek

  34. righteousness? Because a lot of people are

  35. saying, well, I don't have to do anything else because I'm

  36. already made right. You're right.

  37. You're already made right in the position in Christ, and only

  38. Christ could make you right. Only Christ could do that.

  39. But then he goes on to say, but where to seek this

  40. righteousness? So that isn't just a one time

  41. event. When you get born again, you are

  42. put into a position of righteousness.

  43. But now he tells us where to seek it.

  44. We're to seek that out. How do we seek out our

  45. righteousness or right standing with God?

  46. How do we seek that out? We are to seek it out by living

  47. according to what the Word of God says.

  48. So the word of God, we know can continually be being revealed to

  49. us every day on how we are to live according to the word.

  50. How we're to live this righteousness out, how we are to

  51. walk this righteousness out. Because we were made to display

  52. His image and his image is not supposed to be distorted.

  53. It's not supposed to be distorted.

  54. It is supposed to be in the image.

  55. Complete carbon copy of the what he said out of Genesis chapter

  56. one and verse 26. Right.

  57. Let us make God in our and our likeness and that's exactly what

  58. he meant. And so we know then that we have

  59. an image that we are to be portraying in the earth as a

  60. newborn. Again believer.

  61. And that's always going to be one that is going to line up to

  62. the scripture and what he says righteousness is.

  63. Because I'm going to tell you, he wouldn't have told us that we

  64. would have to seek righteousness if we didn't have anything else

  65. to do because he made us righteous.

  66. And so therefore I'm right with God and there's nothing else

  67. that I have to do. He wouldn't have said we had to

  68. seek it. He wouldn't have said that there

  69. are fruits of righteousness, right?

  70. He said there's fruits of righteousness, which means then

  71. that there's something we must produce, come on and bring out

  72. of this righteousness that's been put within us when we were

  73. made righteous. Now we are to produce some

  74. fruits of righteousness, all right?

  75. And so it's important that we understand that, yes, we've been

  76. made righteous, but we still have to produce that

  77. righteousness in the earth, you know?

  78. And we started this journey out of Ephesians chapter 5, right,

    Ephesians 5 chapter mention

  79. Ephesians chapter 5, verses one through 21.

    Ephesians 5 chapter mention

  80. And if you go on reading, pass Ephesians chapter 5 into just

    Ephesians 5 chapter mention

  81. this is a little side note. Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10.

    Ephesians 6:10

  82. He starts talking about the full armor of God, which is another

  83. key to what I'm trying to talk about with righteousness.

  84. Because many people believe I've been made righteous and there's

  85. nothing else I have to do. There's nothing else that you

  86. know I have to prove, so to speak.

  87. All of these comments which is falling up underneath those

  88. grace topics you know. And so here in Ephesians chapter

    Ephesians 6 chapter mention

  89. 6, just continuing to read through in the whole context, he

  90. then tells us to put on the full armor of God.

  91. And he also tells us that we are to put on the breastplate of why

  92. would he tell us we had to put it on if there was nothing else

  93. we had to do? Because we are made righteous in

  94. Christ and it doesn't matter what I do left in the earth, I'm

  95. right with God. I'm righteous.

  96. He made us righteous. There was nothing I could do.

  97. Well why did he tell you to put it on?

  98. See, he tells us we have a responsibility and this is the

  99. thing. And what Pastor has ministered

  100. for years, there is a God side of what he has done, but there

  101. is a man's side and what we must do to inherit all the promises

  102. of God. He's already done everything

  103. he's going to do for man, but we now have to what?

  104. Acknowledge it, walk into it, and apply it to our life.

  105. And so therefore he tells us, putting on that full armor of

  106. God, that we must put on the breastplate of righteousness.

  107. So that must mean that you could not have it on.

  108. That's true. You could not have it on, even

  109. though you've been made. Come on, think about it.

  110. So we must be people that are staying in a place that you know

  111. what we want to display rightly and correctly.

  112. The proper image and likeness that he said we were to display

  113. to the world. Amen.

  114. Hallelujah. And in Ephesians chapter one,

  115. let's start reading it because we're talking about being an

  116. imitator. You were made to imitate.

  117. You were made to display. Amen.

  118. It says, Therefore be imitators of God as dear children, right?

  119. And walk in love. Say walk in love as Christ also

  120. has loved us and given himself for us, as an offering and a

  121. sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.

  122. But fornication and all uncleanliness or covetousness,

  123. let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for the

  124. Saints, neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse

  125. gesturing, which are not fitting, but rather giving

  126. thanks. For this you know that no

  127. fornicator, unclean person, covetous man, idolater, has ever

  128. or has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

  129. Let no one deceive you with empty words.

  130. I think it's really interesting how it just goes on to into

  131. that. Let no one deceive you to think

  132. that these types of people as believers will inherit the

  133. Kingdom of God, that is empty words.

  134. Come on. We are living in a day and an

  135. hour that we have to take off the veil of deception, of

  136. doctrines of demons and seducing spirits that have been unleashed

  137. in the church. Amen.

  138. And so he said, Let no one deceive you with empty words,

  139. For because of these things the wrath of God came upon the sons

  140. of disobedience. You see that?

  141. Therefore, do not be partakers with them.

  142. What? Be partakers with what?

  143. People that are course gesturing, people that are

  144. fornicators. People that are idolaters.

  145. People that are all of these things.

  146. Covetousness, filthiness, foolish talking all of these

  147. things. We're not supposed to be

  148. partakers with them. Amen.

  149. And we talked about that on Sunday.

  150. But anyway, and so the first thing we see in the verses one

  151. through 7 is that he tells us if we are going to imitate God as

  152. His children, if we are going to display the proper image or

  153. reflection of who He is, then we must be people that number one

  154. first and foremost walk in love, right?

  155. And we talked about that. So I'm not going to go back over

  156. all of those scriptures. Now verses 8 through 14, the

  157. next thing we see, it says for you, once we're in darkness, but

  158. now you are light in the Lord. So walk as children of light for

  159. the fruit of the Spirit, one translation says, for the fruit

  160. of light is all goodness. What is it?

  161. Righteousness and truth. So if we are rightly going to

  162. reflect the correct image and be an imitator of a child of God,

  163. then the only way we're going to find that is by the truth of

  164. God's word, by walking in his righteousness, by walking in his

  165. goodness. Amen.

  166. And in his light. So that was #2 that we are to

  167. walk according to the light, walk in the way of the light,

  168. walk in the light, display the light.

  169. We are #1 to display love, and then #2 to display the light so

  170. that when people see you, they should see the light and the

  171. glory of God upon your life. Amen.

  172. Hallelujah. And we talked about that.

  173. Now it says in verse 10, finding out what is acceptable to the

  174. Lord. So what do we know is acceptable

  175. to the Lord? Walking according to his truth,

  176. walking according to His righteousness and goodness.

  177. That is what is acceptable to the Lord.

  178. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,

  179. but rather expose them. Expose works of darkness.

  180. Everybody's afraid to expose the works of darkness today because

  181. it might offend somebody. I would rather expose works of

  182. darkness than let them weep and gnash in the complete darkness

  183. to the uttermost in hell if you don't expose it, right, if you

  184. don't expose it. But this is actually talking in

  185. context to the Ephesians church. To the believers it says.

  186. But rather expose them. Because I know plenty of

  187. believers that are still partaking in darkness and we

  188. have a responsibility to expose it.

  189. What for? To save them?

  190. To save. Them from a lot of things, from

  191. destruction first and foremost. So it says this in verse 12.

  192. It says, for it is shameful to even speak of those things which

  193. are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed

  194. are made manifest by the light, and whatever makes manifest is

  195. light. Therefore he says awake you who

  196. sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you the light,

  197. right? And then we talked about the

  198. fact that we are to be in Matthew.

  199. He said in Matthew 5 that you are the light of the world,

  200. right? A city that is set on a hill

  201. that cannot be hidden. And then in Matthew 16 he said

  202. this. So let your light shine before

  203. all men, that they may see your good works and glorify.

  204. Your Father who is in heaven. So when you actually are

  205. displaying the light in proper lighting, you know lighting

  206. cannot be right sometimes you know this is very important in

  207. photography. It's what they call good

  208. lighting and bad lighting, right?

  209. You know the best time is like early in the morning, whatever

  210. that's called, and then you know when.

  211. Dusk and all, they've got terms for it.

  212. I should know it, but I don't. Anyway, I don't remember right

  213. now which is best lighting times for photographers, right?

  214. Well, do you know we can cloud the light in our light?

  215. We can cloud that light by participating in things that we

  216. as believers shouldn't be participating in.

  217. We can cloud the light. Amen.

  218. And so therefore, they're not going to see the light shining

  219. brightly. And the reason why we want the

  220. light to shine brightly is so that they can see the glory of

  221. God, so that they can see the works of God in your life, the

  222. display of what God is doing in your life, so that that will

  223. then what draw them into the Kingdom.

  224. And we said this light bugs come to the light.

  225. If you would just walk in a room and let your light shine and and

  226. and you don't have any distortion or bad reflection, or

  227. you don't have any shadows about your life, guess what they're

  228. going to see? They're going to clearly see a

  229. display of God's glory upon your life.

  230. And he actually tells us too, that we are to be living

  231. epistles, that we are literally alive.

  232. Epistles for what? For all the world to read.

  233. So when they see you, they should see the light and they

  234. ought to be able to read the light of the word of God that is

  235. displayed from your life. Amen.

  236. And so it's very important that we again as believers don't

  237. distort the image that is being portrayed.

  238. Especially, you know, this is the worst type of thing you

  239. could do is to come to church and be one way on Sundays and

  240. Wednesdays and yet live a completely godless life in front

  241. of your children. Because they're learning what

  242. the Word says and how a mother and a father ought to be.

  243. They're learning in the Word how you ought to live.

  244. Don't you think these kids don't know the fruits of the Spirit?

  245. And when Daddy's not in the spirit, oh, they know the fruit

  246. of anger. They know these things that

  247. they're seeing. And what is that doing?

  248. It's bringing a bad reflection and actually a stumbling block

  249. to a child. And he said woe, woe to those

  250. who calls one of these little ones to stumble.

  251. So it's very important about what type of image and

  252. reflection that we are betraying, first and foremost to

  253. our family and our marriage and different things like that.

  254. But then to the people that we're around everyday in our

  255. workplace, right? What are they seeing?

  256. What kind of reflection are they seeing?

  257. Are they seeing a distorted, twisted reflection, a freak of

  258. nature? What?

  259. Me and Pastor like to say they're acting like a freak in

  260. nature right now because they say they're born again and they

  261. have the nature of God, but they're looking like a freak and

  262. all the freaks come out at night.

  263. Had to say that. Anyway, that's why you don't

  264. want anything to do with darkness.

  265. Don't be out in the middle of the night.

  266. There's nothing good going on at 2:00 AM and 3:00.

  267. AMI can guarantee you that. Amen.

  268. Because the freaks come out at night.

  269. Come on, now. And you ought not be one of

  270. those freaks. Hallelujah.

  271. Anyway, you know, I'll tell you like it is for the saving of

  272. your soul. Hallelujah.

  273. So the third thing that we did not get to and where we want to

  274. start tonight, verses 15 through 21, the next thing you see is he

  275. tells us. See then that you walk

  276. circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise we as believers. #1 are

  277. to display love first and foremost, #2 are to display the

  278. light and the glory of God upon our life, and #3 we are to

  279. display a wisdom that does not come from this world.

  280. Now, in all three of these points, we see the most

  281. important the verbiage that he used is, he said.

  282. We are to walk in love. We are to walk in the light.

  283. We are to walk in wisdom, right? And what did we say?

  284. To walk literally means this word here.

  285. Walk means that we are to what? Regulate one's life by it.

  286. That means we are to regulate our life by love.

  287. We're to regulate our life by the light of God's word.

  288. We are to regulate our life by His wisdom.

  289. That means every decision I'd make is not based upon knowledge

  290. from the world. I go to the Word of God, who is

  291. wisdom, who is all wisdom, first and foremost.

  292. First and foremost, that's where you go.

  293. So to walk means to regulate one's life, to conduct one's

  294. life, and to make one's progress.

  295. That means there ought to be progress in your walk.

  296. Meaning you ought to be able to walk more in love today than

  297. you've ever walked before. You ought to be walking in the

  298. light. If you're a believer and you've

  299. been in the church for you know however many years, you ought to

  300. be walking in the light of his word more than you ever have

  301. before and regulating your life by it.

  302. You ought to be come on, walking, progressing, conducting

  303. your life, regulating your life by this right and conducting

  304. your life. And it also means.

  305. And I love this. Be occupied with To walk means

  306. you ought to be occupied by walking in love, walking in the

  307. light, and walking in his wisdom.

  308. That should be the number top three things that you should as

  309. a believer, be so occupied with which is seeking first the

  310. Kingdom and his righteousness. He tells us we ought to be

  311. occupied with it. Amen.

  312. So it's important that we recognize, listen, this is

  313. something that should be so much a part of our life.

  314. It's like breathing. It's like breathing.

  315. I breathe. I live and breathe.

  316. I have my being. I live and move and what have my

  317. being. It is who I am.

  318. It is the sole regulator of my life.

  319. His love, His light, His wisdom, His Word.

  320. It regulates me. It's so full within me, just

  321. like the Scripture said. His word should richly dwell

  322. within you, richly dwell within you.

  323. You shouldn't be hoping and a wishing that His word would

  324. work. You shouldn't be hoping that you

  325. got that scripture right. Come on.

  326. It should be so rich within you and your life is being regulated

  327. by it every day that you're occupied with making sure that

  328. I'm honoring God and living in a righteous way in every decision

  329. that I'm making, everywhere I'm at.

  330. Around everybody that is around me am I upholding and displaying

  331. the proper image to him. And I'm only going to do that if

  332. I'm actually walking the way that he tells us to walk.

  333. Now when I said display wisdom, that was the Third Point.

  334. In verse 15. It says see then that you walk

  335. circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise verse 16 Redeeming the

  336. time because the days are evil. What is walking circumspectly

  337. now mean? It means you better be careful

  338. how you're walking. You better be prudent and how

  339. you're working, walking. You better be purposeful about

  340. how you're walking. There needs to be a purpose.

  341. Come on behind the way that you are walking, and you better know

  342. that you're walking carefully. Have you heard the term?

  343. You need to walk carefully before the Lord.

  344. You need to walk circumspectly before the Lord.

  345. Why? Because if you're not, you're

  346. being a fool. And I'm going to tell you, in

  347. the hour that we're living, we can.

  348. We need to put away foolish things.

  349. We can. We have.

  350. We do not have time to be walking foolishly, and he lets

  351. us know. Listen, we need to have wisdom.

  352. We need to discern. We need to recognize that we

  353. need to redeem some time. That means we need to quit

  354. playing a game. We need our get our hearts

  355. right. We need to quit being believers,

  356. living one way on Sunday and then go in the rest of the week

  357. living how we're living like the rest of the world to where you

  358. can just lie to people straight up.

  359. There is no conviction there. Come on, Come on.

  360. I mean, don't be a fool, Don't be foolish.

  361. We need to be wise and recognize the hour that we're living in.

  362. Amen. So it says not as fools, but

  363. wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil.

  364. Therefore do not be unwise. What does he say?

  365. But understand what the will of the Lord is.

  366. Do not be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit

  367. speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs,

  368. singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

  369. Giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the

  370. name of the Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the

  371. fear of the Lord. All right, we're going to break

  372. those down. So we said what it meant to live

  373. circumspectly. But what does it mean to live

  374. wise? To live wise and not as a?

  375. It means to be skilled. To be skilled, we need to be

  376. skilled. In the word of God, we need to

  377. be skilled. Come on with how we are to

  378. operate in this evil day that we're living as the day is

  379. drawing more and more near. And I'm going to tell you

  380. prophetically, and I said this Sunday, the things that are

  381. going on in Israel is a sign, period, and we can't be foolish.

  382. This thing is wrapping up, and I will still believe that he will

  383. return. You know, there's people that

  384. don't believe he's coming back. I'm going to choose to believe

  385. what the word says, that he's coming back and he will return.

  386. And the day is drawing nearer and nearer and it's more evident

  387. and more evident. Amen.

  388. And because you have wisdom, you can you can recognize man.

  389. There's some things I need to get serious about.

  390. I need to get serious about my life and walk with the Lord

  391. because at any time the trumpet can blow.

  392. Come on. And you don't want to be one

  393. left behind because there will be many believers left behind.

  394. That is, it is inaccurate that thinking all believers are going

  395. to be called up, they're not all believers will not be called up.

  396. So he goes on to say, be skilled, learned, cultivated,

  397. even as teachers. We ought to be in a place that

  398. we are growing in God, that you ought to be able to teach your

  399. friend how to live for the Lord. Thank you, Jesus.

  400. Every believer has a responsibility to be able to

  401. teach others how to walk. Come on in the Kingdom of God,

  402. how to live in the Kingdom of God, how to live righteously in

  403. the Kingdom of God. Every one of us.

  404. It's not just our responsibility.

  405. Our responsibility is to equip the Saints for you to go and

  406. teach others as well how you were able to live and overcome.

  407. But if you're not living and overcome, you're walking like a

  408. fool, right? You're being foolish, it says.

  409. Also, it means this. A person that's wise will know

  410. how to form the best plans and use it by the best means for the

  411. execution of what they need for whatever purpose.

  412. Again, when we are getting wisdom from God, we should be

  413. able to have plans of execution for whatever it is that he is

  414. asking and calling us to do and putting in our life to be able

  415. to walk out. You can be in your job, you

  416. could be in your business, and you should be tapping into the

  417. wisdom on how to do this, how to do that.

  418. And he can give you a plan of execution.

  419. That's called the wisdom of God. Amen.

  420. When you don't know how you ought to do it, you go to the

  421. one who does. He is all wisdom, and we get to

  422. tap into that wisdom also this wisdom.

  423. And walking right in this wisdom means that we ought to be

  424. governing our life by this wisdom as well, and disciplining

  425. our self with this wisdom. Amen.

  426. That's what that means when you look it up.

  427. All right, so in other words, it enables us to exercise more

  428. control over the direction of our lives when we're allowing

  429. wisdom to govern us and to lead us and to guide us in proverbs.

  430. Talk about wisdom, right? Hallelujah.

  431. So. What did he say a person with

  432. wisdom would do? Let's look at 9 things he said

  433. right out of this scripture that he said A person with wisdom

  434. will redeem the time. He will redeem the time.

  435. That means if you think that you know you should be doing

  436. something and you're not doing it, and as long as there's

  437. breath for you to breathe, guess what?

  438. You can redeem the time. You can start walking in it

  439. right now. You can start walking it out

  440. right now and start redeeming the time.

  441. Come on that the enemy has been able to keep you from doing the

  442. things that you know that you should be doing.

  443. So a person of wisdom will redeem the time.

  444. It means this to make one wise and sacred use of every

  445. opportunity for doing good. So that zeal.

  446. Is what you You are in a place of zeal and, well doing.

  447. That's what that means, to redeem the time that you're

  448. going to be zealous right about doing well and making every

  449. opportunity that you have left on the earth come on to do good.

  450. That's called redeeming the time.

  451. It's called redeeming the time. As long as you still have breath

  452. in the earth right now, you can make a decision.

  453. I'm going to redeem the time because I know I've squandered

  454. some things that I know I should have done.

  455. Maybe you know that the Lord spoke to you about going to

  456. Kingdom Institute and you still hadn't done it.

  457. You better start redeeming some time, right?

  458. Maybe the Lord has told you that you know you should have started

  459. a business and you had roadblocks.

  460. But he's going to give you wisdom.

  461. Come on on how to do it, if that's what your assignment was.

  462. Come on. There's all kinds of things.

  463. Maybe you feel like you've you've lost time in your

  464. marriage because you were in the wrong assignment.

  465. Guess what? You can make a decision today.

  466. I'm going to get myself in the right assignment, and that's

  467. going to start redeeming some time the rest of.

  468. The time that I have on the earth, Colossians 4-5 says this

  469. walk in Wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time,

  470. redeeming the time you walking in wisdom, redeeming the time.

  471. Amen. Number two, he said this that we

  472. are to a person of wisdom will understand the will of God.

  473. You need to quit saying, well, I don't know what God wants.

  474. He tells you, you can understand it.

  475. You can understand what he wants.

  476. You can understand what his will is.

  477. You can have knowledge, all the knowledge in the world.

  478. It's up to you. You can know.

  479. Quit saying you don't know or you don't understand the will of

  480. God. Romans 12/2 Do not be conformed

  481. to this world, but what be transformed by the renewing of

  482. the mind so that you will prove. Prove.

  483. But you know what else that word means to know.

  484. Know the will of God. What?

  485. How are you going to know the will of God?

  486. By getting in knowledge? By getting in the word?

  487. By seeking him so that you can begin to understand the will of

  488. God. It by the renewing of your mind

  489. it means to prove, to know, to examine to us, discern what the

  490. will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

  491. Amen. We can get in the word, renew

  492. our mind so that we can begin to know what the will of God is.

  493. We can begin to discern what the good, what the will of God is so

  494. that we can begin to walk in it and approve.

  495. This is this is the will of God. It choose for you to be able to

  496. examine and say this is the will of God and this is not right.

  497. This is the will of God and this is not.

  498. You can know it by getting in the word of God and renewing

  499. your mind to it. Amen. #3 He tells us this.

  500. Don't get drunk. Say it again.

  501. Don't drink. I'm going to say it a third

  502. time. Go drink.

  503. Don't get drunk. Amen.

  504. We don't drink in this church. Amen.

  505. And I'm proud of it. I was just talking to an

  506. individual today that has recently be coming to our

  507. church. Recently her whole family got

  508. born again and filled with the Holy Ghost and decided to go

  509. back home. For a visit.

  510. And she said, I didn't realize. I did not realize how, See, when

  511. you start living the life of God and the light of God and in the

  512. word of God and the revelation of God, and you go back, she

  513. said. My whole family are nothing but

  514. Alcoholics. They're drunks.

  515. Sleep till noon and get up and say where's the next drink.

  516. Stay up all night. That's all they did the whole

  517. time. And I was trying to visit my

  518. brother and his new baby and I was so thankful, so thankful,

  519. she said. Because we we tried other

  520. churches but they, you know they don't care if you drink.

  521. So thankful that I found this church.

  522. And the word of God that's been coming for, because it was so

  523. different when I went back home and realized my whole family, my

  524. whole entire family, I grew up in this, They're all Alcoholics.

  525. They're all dysfunctional. They're all, you know, and just

  526. went on and on. And I'm thinking to myself and

  527. Christians are OK with this. When it does nothing but destroy

  528. people's lives, brings nothing but death to people's lives.

  529. And she was so thankful that she found the one church whose staff

  530. doesn't drink. So he lets us know in Ephesians

  531. you're a fool if you do. You're not being wise, you're

  532. not being wise. So he says in Proverbs 20 and

  533. verse one, wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and

  534. whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.

  535. I mean, I don't know how more clearer you can get with the

  536. word of God. How more clear can you get with

  537. the word of God? Amen.

  538. I think I'm thankful I live upon the word of God.

  539. Amen. And we're known as that church.

  540. Yeah, it's that church that's going to stand for holiness.

  541. It's going to stand for righteousness because I've seen

  542. nothing ever good come out of alcohol, ever, in my 53 years of

  543. living on the earth. Amen.

  544. Nothing ever good. Amen.

  545. So it destroys people's lives and it destroys children's

  546. lives. So proper image is what we're

  547. trying to display proper. Image right?

  548. So the next one was what he told us To redeem the time.

  549. A wise person is going to redeem the time, understand the will of

  550. the God. #3 is not going to be a drinker, it's not going to get

  551. drunk, and #4 is going to be filled with the Spirit.

  552. Yes, we're that church too that believes in being filled with

  553. the Spirit. Acts 2:00 and 4:00 and they were

  554. all filled. With the Holy Spirit and began

  555. to speak with other tongues as the Spirit was giving them

  556. utterances. Hallelujah.

  557. Glory to God #5. We will sing songs from the

  558. Spirit. We'll sing songs from the

  559. Spirit. A wise person will do this.

  560. That's what he says. A person with wisdom.

  561. And Colossians 316, it says this.

  562. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you with all

  563. wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another, with psalms, hymns,

  564. and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your heart

  565. to God. It's a spiritual thing.

  566. Amen. It's a spiritual thing, and we

  567. ought to be so full of God's word and God's life and God's

  568. light and God's love and God's wisdom that it ought to just

  569. flow without, with, with, in and out of our lives every day.

  570. Amen. Thankfulness, singing songs of

  571. thankfulness, Amen. And the next thing we see is

  572. that they we will be people. A wise person will give thanks,

  573. will give thanks. A person that is not thankful

  574. for what Christ has done for them is ungrateful, is

  575. ungrateful. And we don't ever want to be a

  576. part of a person that is ungrateful for the life that we

  577. have in Christ and the light that we see now.

  578. And the fact that the veil of darkness was removed from our

  579. eyes so that we could see the light of the glorious gospel.

  580. We need to be thankful. A thankful and grateful heart.

  581. Amen. This is a person that will be

  582. wise. Psalms 8612.

  583. I will give thanks to you, Oh my God, with all of my heart.

  584. And I will glorify your name forever.

  585. Amen. The next thing we see as a wise

  586. person, if we're going to display the proper image of

  587. wisdom to the world, is that we need to submit to one another.

  588. This is not talked about in the church, not talked about just

  589. among you know people. You know, he talks a lot about

  590. employers submitting to their employees in the scripture

  591. because nobody wants to submit today to anything.

  592. And the problem is, is that even this new generation coming up

  593. doesn't want to submit to ours. This is where we've gotten

  594. because of non submission and rebellion and lawlessness, they

  595. don't want to submit to the time clock.

  596. They want to work from. They want to do their own thing

  597. and do their own hours. I'm telling you it's a problem.

  598. It's a real problem because they they don't want to submit to

  599. anybody else, anybody else, anybody else.

  600. And these are the people in their 20s.

  601. This is that new generation, you know, Did you hear they're

  602. trying to change the work week? And you know why?

  603. Because they can't get this new generation to work any other

  604. hours. They don't believe in a 40 hour

  605. work week. And that's easy.

  606. That's easy. Come on, I'm telling you, it's a

  607. real problem. But he says, listen, a wise

  608. person will know how to submit to one another.

  609. First and foremost, I know they're not submitted to God.

  610. If, especially if they're born again, believers and they can't

  611. submit to a church or they can't submit to the pastor or they

  612. can't submit to a brother and sister in Christ by by just

  613. saying, hey, what are you doing? You're not reflecting the proper

  614. image. I don't think we should be.

  615. Well, you can't tell me what to do.

  616. I mean, who do you think you are telling me what to do?

  617. Well, I'm actually not telling you what to do.

  618. I'm admonishing you that that's not really the proper reflection

  619. of what the word of God says for a believer's life.

  620. And I love you enough to say, hey, why don't you try this, but

  621. they don't want to submit. We've turned the word submission

  622. into a horrible word. And actually it means just to

  623. yield. Because a person that don't

  624. yield to correction or admonishment or the word, they

  625. won't yield to the word. But a person who won't do that,

  626. it's called pride. It's called pride that you're

  627. not willing to just yield. Oh, OK.

  628. You know, Yeah. I mean, it's no big deal.

  629. Yeah, I'll do. Yeah, if you think I should.

  630. OK. Why?

  631. Because you're just trying to help them, guide them, whatever

  632. the case may be. You're help.

  633. You're trying to help pull things without them.

  634. That is actually godliness as a brother and sister in Christ.

  635. You're you're trying to help pull godliness out of them and

  636. trying to help adjust so that they're not going to go down a

  637. wrong Rd. But if you don't ever, if you're

  638. not a person that who do you think you are telling me what to

  639. do? What kind of attitude is that

  640. That's not what the scripture says that we would submit to one

  641. another. OK.

  642. If you don't think, yeah, I mean, I'm sorry, I, you know,

  643. maybe maybe they didn't know any better.

  644. And if you never would have said anything, right, 'cause we're

  645. all here to help cultivate each other and support each other,

  646. right? So that word, literally submit.

  647. This word is from a Greek military term.

  648. Listen, I don't have one single bit of problem submitting

  649. because I knew what it was like rebelling.

  650. So comes from a military term meaning to arrange troop

  651. divisions in a military fashion under the command of a leader.

  652. In non military use it was a voluntarily A voluntary

  653. attitude. So it all goes back just to the

  654. attitude of your heart. Because if you just are a hard

  655. and difficult person and no one can ever give you correction,

  656. you know there's people that are self-employed because they don't

  657. want people telling them what to do, that might be a problem.

  658. Now I believe in people should be self-employed.

  659. But you also ought to have somebody that you're claiming

  660. from that can help guide you in the in whatever it is that

  661. you're doing right that you're yielded to that you you're you

  662. trust, you know that's going to lead you in the right direction

  663. that you're like going to be saying OK, yeah, whatever, you

  664. know I'll do it. If you're seeing that, then

  665. thank you for letting me know. I'll pray about it, but don't

  666. use that as a cop out. I pray about it but never do it.

  667. But that would be to your own demise and that would be making

  668. you a fool, is what the scripture said and not a wise

  669. person. That you can never take any

  670. correction, any admonishment, any adjustments because you are

  671. full of pride, because you don't want anybody telling you

  672. anything. You got to ask yourself, are you

  673. a person you know? We're dealing with this in

  674. secular schools. Teachers can't even say a word

  675. to students anymore. What is that breeding a non

  676. submissive world of? Of being able to teach children

  677. how to yield to a teacher that is trying to correct them.

  678. That's a problem. That's a problem, I'm telling

  679. you. So he even lets us know that

  680. we're to submit to one another. We're just to yield with a

  681. voluntary attitude. We're to give in.

  682. Cooperate. Are you a person that is

  683. difficult to even deal with because you're you never

  684. cooperate with anything. You don't.

  685. You always want to go against the flow.

  686. You won't cooperate. That means you're not submitted.

  687. You're not yielded. Are you easily a person?

  688. Yeah. OK, I'll cooperate.

  689. Yeah, Whatever you think we should do.

  690. Or do you always have to have the last word and and you only

  691. going to do it your way. And your goal is to get

  692. everybody to agree with your way and then you'll yield because

  693. you got everybody to cooperate with you.

  694. Come on, It's not a place of submitted attitude and heart,

  695. right? So because he says this, that a

  696. yielded, submitted voluntary attitude is a person that will

  697. cooperate and assume responsibility.

  698. That's right there. It is responsibility which

  699. nobody wants to take today. Responsibility.

  700. All right. So it's to yield to one's

  701. admonishment or advice. That's what just submission is.

  702. People will see things and try to admonish you or give you

  703. advice. Have you ever, I mean, I yeah, I

  704. deal with this. You give people advice.

  705. You try to admonish them about a situation that, hey, this could

  706. really change if you would just do this.

  707. And this is what the word says that you should do.

  708. But they don't take your device and guess where they're at.

  709. They're in trouble, but they want you there to pick them up

  710. out of that trouble. They want you there to console

  711. them in that trouble. They want you there.

  712. And I'm thinking, well, why didn't you just listen to the ad

  713. advice and the admonishment and actually some correction even at

  714. points? But they want to do it their way

  715. and that is not a submitted person.

  716. It's not a submitted person. OK, first, Peter 55, I'm going

  717. to give you another scripture about this because there's

  718. multiple ones about submission, but I'm only giving you 2.

  719. Likewise you younger submit yourselves to.

  720. The elders, right. People that's been there, that

  721. has a godly reputation, submit yourself to them because what

  722. they're going to help give you advice that is only going to be

  723. godly and pull out godliness within your life, Right?

  724. So. And then he goes on to say, yay,

  725. all of you be subject 1 to another.

  726. Here's the second witness that he says, one to another.

  727. I don't have to submit to anybody.

  728. I don't need anybody telling me what to do.

  729. Well, that's unscriptural. It's unscriptural.

  730. It's unscriptural. Say Amen.

  731. Say it loud. It's unscriptural because

  732. there's three and four and five and six more that I didn't even

  733. put on here. Subject yourself to 1 to another

  734. and be clothed with humility which goes back to the heart.

  735. Right that that humble heart for God resisteth the proud.

  736. Again, If you are a person that will yield and submit, he's

  737. letting you know God will resist you because you're being

  738. prideful. You're being proud.

  739. You're not willing to submit or humble yourself and take any

  740. advice or anything from anybody. And God's going to resist you.

  741. Oh, God loves you. He's not mad at you and he's

  742. always fighting for you and and you can do whatever you want to

  743. do because you're under grace. No, he says he will resist the

  744. proud. He's not going to be for you.

  745. If you can't be a person that can yield to advice or submit it

  746. to anybody, he's going to resist you.

  747. And you want to know what? What?

  748. Why? You have so many problems.

  749. You know about. You can't cooperate with

  750. anybody. You can't work with anybody.

  751. Nobody can work with you. Come on.

  752. These are signs of non submission and pride.

  753. And God's going to resist it. God's going to resist it.

  754. And I don't want God resisting anything about my life.

  755. Amen. Even as a believer, you, God,

  756. can resist you. We got to get this thinking out

  757. of our mind that he's for everybody and da da da da da.

  758. He's for those that are submitted to his word and are

  759. submitted with a whole heart. And yielded.

  760. Come on, And he'll give grace to those that are.

  761. But there's not going to be grace for you.

  762. Oh, I thought everybody's under grace.

  763. Well, there won't be grace for the proud that resists being

  764. submitted individual in their life.

  765. It's what scripture says, right? It's what Scripture says.

  766. So the last point is, is that these people, a wise person that

  767. will display the wisdom of God, will fear the Lord, will fear

  768. God, will fear God. Hallelujah.

  769. And we know that word means to reverence, to guard with, to

  770. regard with great respect, right to treat with difference.

  771. Deferience, I guess, is what the word is DEFERENCE, deference.

  772. Thank you. Hallelujah and submission and

  773. reverential obedience. This is a person that will fear

  774. the Lord, that will fear God. Amen.

  775. And our last scripture. And then we'll close Y'all have

  776. been great listeners. First, Peter 217.

  777. Honor all men. Love the brotherhood.

  778. Fear God. Honor the king.

  779. Amen. Hallelujah.

  780. So a person that was made to display the proper image will be

  781. one that will walk in love, walk in the light and walk in wisdom.

  782. And he let us know what wisdom looks like.

  783. Amen. He gave us nine ways that wisdom

  784. looks Amen. And we want to be these people

  785. that bring that reflection to the world when we come in

  786. contact with them. And not only that, we want to be

  787. people that love the brethren. Because we know I read that

  788. scripture on Sunday, that how is the world going to know we're

  789. truly His disciples? Because of the love that we have

  790. for the brethren. Amen.
