  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Well, I'm on assignment tonight

  4. and I'm thrilled to be with you. If you don't know me, my name is

  5. Randy. They call me Reverend Randy.

  6. And every now and then we'll have an opportunity to be

  7. together. And I'm excited because like I

  8. said, I'm on assignment. And I asked pastor, you need me

  9. to administer on anything in particular.

  10. And he looked at me and said yes.

  11. And he gave me the subject. I think it's up.

  12. Let's, let's see what it is tonight.

  13. Are we ready? It's almost like a drum roll or

  14. something. Don't leave home without it.

  15. Kingdom faith. We're going to talk about faith

  16. tonight. When he told me that, I said

  17. that's one of my favorite subjects.

  18. I want you to go with me as we get started.

  19. Let's go to Romans chapter one. That's where we're going to

  20. start tonight, Romans chapter one.

  21. I think it's important that as we discuss faith, we've heard

  22. our pastor over the last several years talk to us about faith

  23. being the currency of the Kingdom.

  24. Anybody remember him saying that?

  25. Have we heard that before? There's a few of you that were

  26. listening. OK, that's great.

  27. All right. When we talk about currency,

  28. let's talk a little bit about that, because when a society

  29. decides that they've become too big.

  30. Is Lord trying to get in? He should already be in here.

  31. What? Somebody's knocking on the door.

  32. Go ahead and stand around. Where?

  33. Where's where's my, my team at? There.

  34. They they're all leaving. OK.

  35. When we talk about currency, one of the things that we need to

  36. understand is why do we we term faith as the currency of the

  37. Kingdom. Everybody have currency.

  38. You know what currency is? We call it money.

  39. Money over the years has taken a lot of different things, a lot

  40. of different changes, a lot of different values.

  41. But when we talk about a currency, basically it's when a

  42. society has decided that we're no longer gonna trade eggs for

  43. wagon wheels. You know, not too long ago in

  44. our country, they're they, you know, a community was specially

  45. designed to have different people of different trades come

  46. in and they would trade their products and the different

  47. things to each other, whether it was the grain, whether it was

  48. the corn with whatever it was for services and different

  49. things that they had. But when we talked about when

  50. America basically got into currency and it it happened way,

  51. way back. But as far as the currency that

  52. we now have, we have, we have plenty of it, OK?

  53. And I like one minister hurt say one time he said money hadn't

  54. left the planet. You know, he said the problem is

  55. it's a lot of people. They don't have the money, but

  56. it hasn't left the planet. And as a matter of fact.

  57. The Federal Reserve is printing more of it every day.

  58. I mean since you know, since the 2008 and some of the challenges

  59. that we had in some of our markets, they decided, you know,

  60. let's just print it unlimited, let's go and they have.

  61. But when we talk about the Kingdom of God, we need to

  62. understand one little word in the Kingdom that makes all the

  63. difference. It's the word exchange.

  64. The Kingdom is based upon exchange and we're going to see

  65. several different places tonight where that is in the Bible when

  66. we talk about being an exchange. But that's what we do with our

  67. currency. We exchange it.

  68. We have we have agreed and long before any of us in here were

  69. born that currency was created as a medium of exchange.

  70. You know when we and but here's the thing about this medium of

  71. exchange, we don't think about the money.

  72. We think about what it is we want for the money.

  73. Well, in the Kingdom of God the same thing needs to happen.

  74. All right. And and we're going to look at

  75. this particular verse. This is Paul writing to the

  76. church at Rome. All right.

  77. And he goes into. And if you look at verse 16 with

  78. me, all right, he said, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,

  79. for it is the power of God unto salvation and to everyone that

  80. believes to the Jew first also the Greek, he said, Therein is

  81. the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith.

  82. As it is written, the just shall live by faith.

  83. Now let me tell you, every time I see that it is written, I

  84. always want to know where it's written.

  85. Jot this down. It's Habakkuk 2, verse 4,

    Habakkuk 2:4

  86. Habakkuk 2 and three. Talk about.

  87. Write the vision. Make it plain.

  88. Put it on a tablet or tables. That those that see it may run

  89. by that. So in other words they're saying

  90. make a vision of what it is you want to see.

  91. But then the fourth verse says that it's someone that is high

  92. and lifted up in their mind, in their soul, he said Their their,

  93. their hearts. Not right, but he said the just

  94. shall live. And in the King James it says.

  95. By his faith. So he's telling us that what the

  96. just is supposed to live by the righteous are supposed to live

  97. by is faith. Could have said a lot of things.

  98. The just shall live by going to church every Sunday.

  99. He didn't say that even though you need to be here every

  100. Sunday. He didn't say the just shall

  101. live by treating your wife. Right.

  102. You need to treat your right wife right.

  103. Right. But he didn't say that.

  104. He said the just shall live by faith.

  105. Let me give you the definition of the word faith as you see it

  106. in the In the New Testament, it's only mentioned.

  107. The word faith is only mentioned a couple of times in the Old

  108. Testament, but it it is multiple, multiple times in the

  109. New Testament. It is the Greek word pistis,

  110. PISTIS. All right, here's the definition

  111. of that word, because it also comes from another word I'll

  112. give you. But you need to know these two

  113. words. The word pissed.

  114. This means a firm persuasion or a conviction or convincing over

  115. something you've. Heard.

  116. So when God tells us that He needs us to live by faith, we

  117. are to live and be convinced and and persuaded by something that

  118. we've heard. Now the root OK of the Word.

  119. Pisses comes from the word. Patho P/E ITHOPEITHO and it

  120. means to persuade someone with words.

  121. So there is something about faith that lets us know it is

  122. going to be contained in. Words.

  123. That's why we talk so much, preach so much, teach so much

  124. about knowing God's words that if we will be people that know

  125. his words, we will have faith when the time comes.

  126. Now, I think it's interesting when we take a look at the

  127. different different parts, because look what it said, it

  128. said from faith to faith, all right?

  129. So it's telling us that we go from levels of faith to another

  130. faith Every time you are in a faith project, and we'll talk

  131. about that in a minute. It should strengthen you to get

  132. you ready for the next faith project.

  133. Believe me, we will never, ever be without a faith project.

  134. I mean, if you've been going here any length of time, we

  135. celebrate 20 years in April the 11th.

  136. I don't remember one time since I've been here that we haven't

  137. had a faith project that we. Believe some words that we

  138. heard, Pastor. Let us know what the vision is.

  139. That's why we teach so much on vision, because that's what

  140. you're really after. You're after the vision.

  141. The faith will bring the vision. It is the currency that makes

  142. the exchange in your personal life and in the life of our

  143. church. Body.

  144. It is faith that makes that exchange for what it is we're

  145. trying to accomplish for him and we have to have faith.

  146. So let's take a look tonight and and and what I does anybody have

  147. a ADVD collection? I knew you would, Chris, for

  148. sure, man. DVD collection.

  149. Come on, Jesus comes tonight. Who's going?

  150. Don't be lying. All right, You got ADV.

  151. It's your favorite movies, right?

  152. Well, we're going to look at some DVD opportunities here,

  153. filmed in the Bible and it's the, it's the, it's the DVD

  154. collection of faith. We're going to go to Mark.

    Mark 4 chapter mention

  155. Chapter 4. First, let's go there.

  156. We're going to see what some of these different levels of faith

  157. look like. Pardon me why I turn in my paper

  158. Bible. There's way, way, way, way too

  159. much. Thread of the grid.

  160. Going down. Anybody heard any of that?

  161. I'm I'm prepared right here. Don't leave home without it, OK?

  162. Mark chapter 4. Jesus has done a lot of

    Mark 4 chapter mention

  163. teaching, all right. And in Mark four he tells them

  164. in verse 33 he had a great day in ministry and we start in

  165. verse. Let's go 35 he said.

  166. The same day when the evening was come, he said unto them, Let

  167. us pass over to the other side. You need to mark that down in

  168. your Bible. You need to underline that.

  169. OK, I'll tell you why here in just a minute.

  170. Remember, we're convinced we're going to be doing something

  171. based on some words we hear, he tells the guys, guys, listen,

  172. let's pass it over to the other side, Said when they had sent

  173. the multitude away. They took him even as he was in

  174. the ship. And there were with him also

  175. other little ships. And there arose a great storm of

  176. wind, and the waves beat into the ship so that it was now

  177. full. And he was in the hinder part of

  178. the ship asleep on a pillow. And they awakened him and said,

  179. master carousel, not that we perish.

  180. And he arose. He rebuked the wind.

  181. And he said unto the sea, peace be still.

  182. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

  183. And he said unto them, Why were you so fearful?

  184. How is it that you have no faith?

  185. So here we have a DVD of some guys going on a little boat

  186. trip. And the first level of faith

  187. that we see in here, Jesus tells them they have no faith.

  188. So what was the story? The story was, hey, Jesus said

  189. let us go to the other side. I'm curious, did do we have a

  190. record that Jesus ever let him down?

  191. I mean, it'd be indifferent if he just said, hey guys, what do

  192. you say we go over tonight and see if we can make it halfway?

  193. We might drown. But Jesus said, let us go to the

  194. other side. And he was so.

  195. Concerned about it? What did it say that he did?

  196. Yeah, so they took him. When he was in the ship, there

  197. rose a great storm of wind and he was in the hinder part of the

  198. ship asleep on a pillow. Now this this particular account

  199. mystifies me a little bit because I'm thinking, all right,

  200. you somebody is either exaggerating when they said the

  201. winds and the waves beat into the ship so that it was now

  202. full. So I got to thinking, well, not

  203. only can he walk on water, he must be able to sleep

  204. underwater. He was that concerned.

  205. About it, though, you know why? Because he's God, The sun in

  206. human flesh. And he speaks.

  207. Things are created, things happen.

  208. We have to depend upon what he says, he said.

  209. Let us go to the other side. He had full intention.

  210. His actions proved. It.

  211. But in there notice what he said.

  212. They they said, Master, carest thou not that we perish.

  213. And he got up, took care of the situation and then looked at him

  214. and he said, why were you so fearful?

  215. How is it that you have no faith?

  216. Let me tell you what no faith is the result of.

  217. You need to jot this down. No faith is the result of

  218. forgetting the word of God. You can't be a person that

  219. forgets the word of God. He said, How is it that you had

  220. no faith in the Greek? That's exactly what it no faith,

  221. that's what it means. They forgot what he said.

  222. Now I'm glad I wasn't in one of them other little ships because

  223. they said there were other little.

  224. Ships with him. I'm glad I wasn't in one of them

  225. because I didn't have Jesus on my boat.

  226. They had Jesus on their boat and they were scared.

  227. I can't even imagine about the other little ships.

  228. I mean, there's probably a lot of hooping and hollering going

  229. on. Jesus calmed it all down for

  230. everybody and then he turned back and asked them why they had

  231. no faith. So we need to remember that

  232. faith, No faith is a result of forgetting the word of God.

  233. Let's look at another level. OK?

  234. Let's go to Matthew. Chapter 14 seems like some of

    Matthew 14 chapter mention

  235. the best tests. And the best instruction that

  236. Jesus ever gave happened to be on the water.

  237. When it comes to learning faith, I think I find that interesting.

  238. All right. Let's let's start in verse 23.

  239. OK? Now you got to understand this

  240. is after they they came to him, he said this place.

  241. Is and let. Me back up to 15, you'll say.

  242. Bring them to me. And he took five loaves 2 fish.

  243. Jesus had just fed over 10,000 people to be conservative, said

  244. 5000. Men, not counting women and

  245. children, said that in and and in verse 23.

  246. He said, when he sent the multitudes away, he went up into

  247. the mountain part to pray, and when the evening was come, he

  248. was there alone. But the ship was now in the

  249. middle of the sea, tossed with waves, for the wind was

  250. contrary. You need to make a note of that.

  251. Said that in the midst of the sea it was tossed with waves.

  252. The wind was contrary. In the 4th watch of the night,

  253. somewhere between 3:00 and 6:00 AM, Jesus went unto them walking

  254. on the sea. And when the disciples saw him

  255. walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying it is a spirit,

  256. And they cried out for fear. And straightway Jesus spoke unto

  257. them, and said, be of good cheer it is I be not afraid.

  258. Peter answered and said, Lord, if it's you really, Jesus just

  259. told you who it was and Lord, if it's really you, notice what he

  260. asked. He said.

  261. If it's really you, bid me or allow me to come to you on the

  262. water. Jesus said.

  263. Hang on a second, Peter. You don't understand.

  264. This particular little episode is only for the Son of God.

  265. What was his response? Come.

  266. Are you kidding me? He said.

  267. Come. And they said.

  268. And when? Peter was come down out of the

  269. ship. He walked on water to go to

  270. Jesus. See that period?

  271. That was the end of the sentence, right?

  272. Peter wishes they'd ended it right there.

  273. Peter walked on water. And it does say he walked on

  274. water. But notice what he says, that he

  275. said. And when he saw the wind,

  276. boisterous, he was afraid, and beginning to sink.

  277. He cried, say, saying, Lord, save me.

  278. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, caught him, and

  279. said unto him, Oh you of little faith, wherefore did you doubt?

  280. So when Peter began to sink. Now notice this.

  281. The wind was boisterous before Jesus ever showed up.

  282. They were having a little trouble before Jesus ever showed

  283. up way early hours in the morning.

  284. Jesus, you know, he said, Hey, listen, don't be afraid, It's I

  285. said Lord, it's really you. He said, Come, that was the word

  286. of God. For that man that night, he

  287. said. Come and he said.

  288. He got out and went to walk in on the water.

  289. But notice what Peter did? He looked around and noticed

  290. that though everything. Was a little.

  291. Bit in turmoil and he began to sink and he said, Lord save me,

  292. I don't know if I'd have been Jesus.

  293. I'd probably let him go down two or three times just to teach him

  294. a lesson. It's all right.

  295. I'd have got him and he reached down there.

  296. And he said. He he pulled him up and began to

  297. talk to him. He said, oh, you of little

  298. faith, anybody in my class in Kingdom Institute, remember that

  299. word, little faith. What it You know what it is.

  300. I know you know it. Yes, it is.

  301. Oligopistas is the word. You know what the word?

  302. Oligos means puny, said. You have puny faith.

  303. Does anybody in here want puny faith?

  304. I mean, of all the kinds of faith they talk about in the

  305. word, puny would not be one. I would want it to be known.

  306. For oh, that's Randy. He's he's got puny faith.

  307. Just puny. Insignificant is another.

  308. Word, he told him. Listen.

  309. You were walking on water, man. Why did you doubt?

  310. We're going to talk about doubt here in a minute in the arena of

  311. faith, but let me give you the what?

  312. That's a result of beauty. Faith.

  313. Little faith is a result of getting distracted from the word

  314. of God. See, he was doing pretty good

  315. when he heard the word. Come.

  316. And he kept his eyes on Jesus. But then when he took his eyes

  317. off and looking at the surroundings, kind of like

  318. doctor's reports, bills unexpected in the mail.

  319. See all that can distract people of faith.

  320. If we want to see the exchange that we can have, we have to

  321. stay with the word. All right.

  322. But let's look at the level I want.

  323. I'm sure you're going to want it to.

  324. Let's go to Matthew Chapter 8, back up just a couple of

    Matthew 8 chapter mention

  325. chapters. Matthew Chapter 8.

    Matthew 8 chapter mention

  326. This is the level of faith that I'm looking.

  327. For. I want to be known as a person

  328. with this kind of faith. You ready?

  329. Notice what he says? He said, when Jesus was come,

  330. verse five, chapter 8, verse 5. And when Jesus was entered into

  331. Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion beseeching him,

  332. saying, Lord, my servant lies at home, sick of the palsy,

  333. grievously tormented. And Jesus said, I'll come and

  334. heal him. This in Tyrion answer, and said,

  335. Lord, I'm not worthy that you should come under my roof, but

  336. speak the word only, and my servant will be healed.

  337. For I'm a man under authority, having soldiers under me.

  338. And I say to this man, Go, and he goes to another man, Come,

  339. and he comes, and I say to my servant, Do this, and he does

  340. it. And when Jesus heard it, he

  341. marveled and said unto them that followed, Barely, I say unto

  342. you, I have not found so great faith.

  343. No, not in Israel. I still don't think Jesus was an

  344. exaggerator if he tells you that he has not found so great a

  345. faith in all of Israel. I would bet that he has not

  346. found so great a faith in all of Israel.

  347. But think about that. This guy was a centurion.

  348. He was a heathen, unsaved, no covenant.

  349. And yet. Jesus said he had more faith.

  350. Then all of the children of Israel who were supposed to be

  351. children of covenant and children of faith, this one guy

  352. and you have to ask you the question.

  353. What was it about him and this little account that we have?

  354. That Jesus? And you know what another word I

  355. love in there? The word marvelled.

  356. I don't know about you, but I've often wondered, How do you

  357. marvel? Jesus.

  358. I mean, how can you say something that he is so taken

  359. aback he could hardly believe it.

  360. I said I want, I want to work on that, maybe 2024.

  361. I just want to. I just want Jesus just

  362. marvelled. Whatever.

  363. Just. Shocking.

  364. And this guy did it. But here's the key.

  365. If you want to be a person of great faith, you have to do

  366. exactly what he said. He said, Master, I'm not worthy

  367. that you come under my roof, but speak the word only and my

  368. servant will be healed. If you want to be a person of

  369. great faith, great faith is a result of speaking the word

  370. only. If you're not speaking the word

  371. only, and you don't all three of these accounts that I just gave

  372. you it. Seems to me.

  373. That faith is tested in crisis. In fact, most of the accounts

  374. where the word faith is mentioned, you're going to find

  375. out that it was usually something going on that they had

  376. to believe God and in some situations or die.

  377. That's how. Important faith is to you.

  378. When we talk about it being the currency, it is the one thing

  379. that God has set up in the Kingdom.

  380. Telling us if this is what you want, if this is what you see,

  381. in my word, is my will. If this is what you desire, all

  382. right. In in the In the course of my

  383. plan for your life, you are going to have to have faith to

  384. get it. It's important.

  385. I mean, it is the currency. It is the Great Exchange.

  386. You know in in Luke 1818 is a parable that Jesus told and you

  387. get down to about verse 8 and he he asked the question.

  388. He said when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith in the

  389. earth? I'm thinking to myself, when you

  390. come back, you're telling me that's all you're looking for

  391. because it asked the question. It said if you're coming, he

  392. said. And he's asking the question, am

  393. I going to find faith in the earth?

  394. Faith is so important. And you know, I, I, I, I've

  395. heard this and I've taught it for years.

  396. That, you know, unfortunately, most believers.

  397. Teach. Treat their faith like their

  398. spare tire. Anybody check their spare before

  399. they came? Do we do that every day?

  400. You get up and do you get ready to go?

  401. You go check that spare, right? Because you know what is the

  402. most important thing in your life?

  403. When that's fair, I mean when your tire goes.

  404. Flat the spare. I don't know about you, but I

  405. have pulled the spare. Out, only to find out you don't

  406. have any air either. I remember one time Melanie and

  407. I were we were in town in midtown Tulsa and and I had a.

  408. Flat and we limped over into, unfortunately, a Ford

  409. dealership. I'm driving a Chevy.

  410. Them dudes in there. I can see them all licking their

  411. lips. This guy's going to need a Ford,

  412. I said. I'll change it.

  413. Don't worry. I didn't have anybody come out

  414. and heal me. Got underneath that thing, got

  415. that little spare out only to find out the spare didn't fit.

  416. It was for a four wheel drive and we had.

  417. A2 wheel drive. Had to call tow truck at the

  418. Ford dealership. But, you know, a lot of people,

  419. they treat their faith just like that.

  420. You know, they're not concerned about it at all until something

  421. goes wrong. And then all of a sudden it's

  422. where's that Bible? Oh, oh, oh, there it is.

  423. You can't. You can't receive the things of

  424. God. I I think Smith Wigglesworth was

  425. the one that said this. He said if you have to get

  426. ready, you're too late. So you need to be strong in

  427. faith, need to be a person of great faith, so that when the

  428. trials come, you know, you need to remind yourself, what did

  429. Jesus say? Sermon on the Mount, Chapter 5,

  430. Chapter 6, Chapter 7 of Matthew, End of chapter seven, he said.

  431. This is the person that hears my word and does what I say.

  432. He will be like a man that builds his house on a rock and

  433. when the storms come, the rain comes, the crisis comes, the

  434. house will be standing because of the foundation, the other

  435. house, he said. They built upon the sand.

  436. Same storm, same rain, same wind came and leveled that house.

  437. Those are people that hear the word and they forget it or

  438. they're distracted when things happen.

  439. So we have got to be people that take our faith extremely serious

  440. and not treat it like the spare tire I've.

  441. Often said this, I've said that you know, once a person is born

  442. again. You know one of the the most

  443. important subjects to them is faith, because faith will do

  444. anything for you according to the word.

  445. Of God. Anything you have need of it can

  446. be gotten by faith. All right.

  447. So when we take a look at the those, let's go, let's go.

  448. Over to Jesus's teaching. I mean these were responses that

  449. Jesus had. The DVD series that I just gave

  450. you picture in all of these. OK, these were Jesus responses

  451. when people should have had the faith and only one of them did.

  452. But think about that. He understood the authority.

  453. What was it? Again?

  454. What did I say? The definition was a firm

  455. persuasion or a conviction or a convincing based upon something

  456. you heard. What is he telling me when the

  457. centurion told Jesus said Listen, he said.

  458. I am a man under authority like you.

  459. I recognize that you are following somebody's words, he

  460. said and gave the illustration. He told us right there, this is

  461. how it works, he said, Listen, I tell this centurion, go and he

  462. goes, I tell this one, come and he comes.

  463. I tell my servant, do this, and he does.

  464. It with what words, he said. So when we come to.

  465. God, we have got to be a. Person that understand and

  466. here's the thing you need to understand.

  467. About God. He's still talking today.

  468. Yes, we have the record of the things that he said, and yes.

  469. We are supposed to learn. From that.

  470. But he's still talking today and we need that.

  471. We need to put faith in the things that we hear him say

  472. today. But let's go over and see some

  473. of the teachings that he thought the guys would probably get

  474. before they started dealing with the boat issues and the.

  475. You know, healing issues and everything like that.

  476. Let's go to Mark, Chapter 11. Let me give you the back story.

    Mark 11 chapter mention

  477. Jesus is walking through, you know, town, and at particular

  478. time he says he was a little bit hungry.

  479. Saw a fig tree, had leaves on it.

  480. He went up to the fig tree, noticed that there was nothing

  481. on it. Walks up to that fig tree and

  482. it's interesting because Jesus, it says in here that he saw the

  483. fig tree having leaves in verse 13 and then in verse 14 is

  484. interesting, he said he answered.

  485. And said to it I go, well, most of the time you don't give an

  486. answer unless somebody says something or makes a statement.

  487. But it said Jesus answered this fig tree and said to it.

  488. No one will. Eat fruit of you hereafter,

  489. forever. And said the disciples heard it.

  490. So it wasn't just a thought Jesus had.

  491. Jesus spoke it out, talked to this tree.

  492. And we call it the. Cursing of the fig tree.

  493. Now it goes on to say it says, you know that the time of figs

  494. was not yet that tree said something.

  495. Now if I'd have been in his fig tree.

  496. And if I didn't even have one pig on, I'd have been popping

  497. figs and tossing them to him. He didn't even have to come.

  498. But he says in here that he cursed that tree and he said the

  499. disciples heard it and wasn't till the next morning.

  500. That our good old buddy Peter always wants to be the first to

  501. respond and to say things, and he called to remembrance.

  502. And we start in verse 21, Peter calling to remember, and said

  503. unto Master, Behold, the fig tree which you cursed is

  504. withered away. And Jesus uses this particular

  505. event to give us one of the most profound teachings on faith that

  506. we need to pay attention to. Verse 22 Jesus answered and

  507. said. Have faith in God.

  508. Let me give you a better translation.

  509. I have studied this out in the Greek.

  510. I have heard Reverend Kenneth, the late Reverend Kenneth E

  511. Hagin say have the God kind of faith.

  512. That is exactly what the Greek says.

  513. In the tense that it's used. In the word theos, it means God.

  514. In the Greek it is the word Theo and Theo means of God.

  515. So he said, have the faith of God.

  516. Now, Jesus wouldn't tell us to have something if we couldn't

  517. have it, but he's going to begin to tell us what that kind of

  518. faith looks like. So let's look at the next verse.

  519. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say to this

  520. mountain, be thou removed, be cast in the sea, and shall not

  521. doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which

  522. he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says,

  523. Verse 24 Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever you

  524. desire, When you pray, believe that you receive them, and you

  525. shall have them. Now when Jesus told him, he

  526. said, he, he lets them know. He said that whosoever shall say

  527. in your Bible, if you've got a little program in your phone or

  528. your iPad, whatever you're doing, and you can make a little

  529. highlight, make a little highlight on the word say.

  530. Because he goes on, whosoever say to this mountain, be thou

  531. removed, be cast in the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart,

  532. but shall believe that the things that he says.

  533. Shall come to pass, he will have whatsoever he says.

  534. So a major part of faith is ability to speak it out of your

  535. mouth. Why is that important?

  536. Because in Genesis chapter one verse 26, he said let us make

  537. man in our image and he says and in our likeness.

  538. The first. Introduction that we have of

  539. God. Genesis 11 says in the beginning

  540. was God created the heaven and the earth and then it goes on

  541. you get to about verse 3 on and it says and God said first thing

  542. he created with his words was light.

  543. Then you guys said the evening and the morning were the first

  544. day. Next three words you check me

  545. out it's in there. Next three words and God said

  546. every day God got up, he spoke into existence what he wanted to

  547. see happen on that day. Which makes me think, what are

  548. we saying when we get up? Oh my aching back.

  549. Oh, got to go to work today. Oh, I got to go put up with so

  550. and so today. Oh God spoke into existence.

  551. All the things that we would ever need before man ever got

  552. here. He said we were made in his

  553. image and likeness. Likeness tells me

  554. characteristics. If God has ability to speak into

  555. existence the things that he wants to see, we have the same

  556. ability. That's where faith comes in.

  557. What did Jesus just say? Whosoever shall say to this

  558. mountain be thou removed, and be cast into the sea, and shall not

  559. doubt in his heart, but but believes that those things that

  560. he says shall come to pass, He will have whatsoever He says,

  561. that sounds like creation. To me, that sounds like speaking

  562. and changing situations in your life by just your words.

  563. But I don't always choose my words.

  564. I want to choose his words, cuz somewhere in his recorded words

  565. is something that'll fix the situation you find yourself in.

  566. But let's look at the next verse.

  567. In verse, he says. Therefore, what does that mean?

  568. Therefore, because of what I just spoke to you about, he

  569. said, I say unto you, that what things so ever you desire, when

  570. you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have

  571. them. I want you to listen to it

  572. again. Whatsoever things you desire.

  573. When you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have

  574. them. Now.

  575. I have taught this subject Kali, over 30 years now.

  576. I know I look like a young man, but I've been round.

  577. OK, this verse is the difference between.

  578. Life. And death.

  579. Any of you all know I've been pretty close to death.

  580. I held on to this verse like a life preserver, because he says,

  581. and therefore I say unto you what things so ever you desire.

  582. When you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have

  583. them. I just got through teaching

  584. first year students for seven weeks on the subject of faith.

  585. I want you guys to calm down. All right?

  586. I'm going to ask a question I never fail to ask when I read

  587. this verse, and I want you to answer me out loud, OK?

  588. Not my first year students. Because if you say something

  589. different than what I taught you in that class, I'm going to get

  590. you stand up and you're going to go right on the board 10,000

  591. times the answer. Listen it therefore, I say to

  592. you what things soever you desire.

  593. When you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall ask

  594. them. I'm going to say it one more

  595. time. Therefore I say unto you what

  596. things so ever you desire. When you pray, believe that you

  597. receive them, and you shall have them according to that verse.

  598. What did Jesus say? You would have what sounds like

  599. tongues up from up here. I don't get one.

  600. I don't get one of them interpreted.

  601. Give me a. Come on, give it to me.

  602. What you believe. I heard that.

  603. Who said that? Way to go, girl.

  604. All right. What?

  605. Who else? Any others?

  606. What things soever you desire. When you pray, believe that you

  607. receive them and you shall have them.

  608. Miracles. Miracles.

  609. Guess. That'd be in the things.

  610. Well, so far none of those answers are right. #1 answer on

  611. the board if we are playing Family Feud Bing #1 answer board

  612. that I get from everywhere I teach it except here, right now,

  613. this moment. Is the word desires Ding.

  614. Next answer on the board is what you pray for Ding.

  615. Next answer is what you believe for.

  616. Somebody got it. Third answer on the board.

  617. Let me tell you verbatim, if you're taking notes, you need to

  618. write this down, OK? Because it's a difference

  619. between life and death. The only thing Jesus said?

  620. You would have? Let me.

  621. Say it again. Therefore I say unto you, what

  622. things so ever you desire. When you pray, believe that you

  623. receive them and you shall have them.

  624. The only thing Jesus said you would have according to that

  625. verse is what you believed you received at the time you asked.

  626. Did you hear me? The only things Jesus said you

  627. would receive according to that verse is what you believed you

  628. received at the time that you asked.

  629. Listen to it again. Therefore I say unto you, what

  630. things so ever you. Desire When you pray, believe

  631. you receive them, and you shall have them.

  632. There are so many people that are believing God for healing,

  633. for better job, help to raise their children, wives help to

  634. raise their husbands, he said. In there, the things that you

  635. desire when you pray, you have to believe you received the

  636. moment you asked for it. That's why so many people don't

  637. get it. They'll come down to a prayer

  638. line. I've seen it.

  639. I've been in on the. Prayer side of the prayer line.

  640. And then I see him in the next prayer line and I see him in the

  641. next prayer line. Oh, what are you saying, Brother

  642. Radio? You know, I'm saying, I'm saying

  643. this, the reason we don't, we don't get what we're looking for

  644. is that we don't believe we received it the time we asked

  645. for it. We thank God's just playing with

  646. us. You know, I have a a a a little

  647. manuscript that I'm working on and one of the chapters in it is

  648. the what to do before, during and after the prayer line

  649. because I've seen so many people and they.

  650. Talk, and they're not talking this verse.

  651. All right, going back to 2007, I was diagnosed with cancer and

  652. moved down here in 2009. I thought me and God had it

  653. whipped, and only to find out I had some issues that I brought

  654. down here with me, which I'll get to in this scripture here.

  655. In a moment, and I had been greatly offended by someone in

  656. Oklahoma and root of bitterness kind of sprung up, but I thought

  657. I was good. Thought I was justified.

  658. In the way I felt, didn't hate anybody.

  659. I was disappointed. And I'll never forget, you know,

  660. coming down here. The cancer kept growing, had a

  661. place in my back I couldn't explain.

  662. I thought I was out. I said give me a chiropractor,

  663. he can pop me back in. Chiropractor wouldn't touch me.

  664. Finally, after months and months and months and here.

  665. Was the deal. I had the whole staff.

  666. Mr. Barry, you're at the house. You two were at the house,

  667. Pastor asked me a question, said Randy.

  668. We've done everything that the Bible says to do, and it's

  669. obvious that whatever's going on is not helping you, All right,

  670. As far as prayer and believe in God and praying for you and and

  671. everything, he said. Is there anything in your life

  672. that you can think of would keep the healing power of God from

  673. coming to you and manifesting? I said yeah, I said I have a

  674. problem with and I had some other words and you know that I

  675. was, I was talking, but I said the main thing was, is that I

  676. had an offence with someone back in Oklahoma.

  677. And it was it. Was interesting.

  678. He looked at me and he said, you think we ought to get that taken

  679. care of? Yeah, you ain't kidding.

  680. It was one of them. Every head bowed, every eye

  681. closed. Moments, everybody hold hands.

  682. And I repented, and I absolutely knew that I was set free from

  683. that, that night, that moment. It doesn't take that long to get

  684. right. It was just.

  685. Seconds, I gave God something to work with and he started

  686. working. First thing that happened after,

  687. Melanie said I can't take it anymore.

  688. You know, all this pain that you're going through, I know

  689. you're in great pain. And she said I'm taking you to

  690. the ER. Well, deep in my gut I knew what

  691. was going to happen once I got there and they started doing

  692. tests and they started bringing the reports.

  693. One of the reports was is that Mister Clay your your cancer is

  694. metastasized into a mass between your kidneys and also it is

  695. eating the front. Part of your T3.

  696. In your back. That's why your back was

  697. hurting, all right. And so you know, it just was

  698. test after test, test after test, no good news.

  699. And then the day came. After I'd had four cycles of

  700. chemo. Melanie and I went into the

  701. office. They wanted to talk to me, knock

  702. on the door. Man comes in, has a business

  703. card in his hand. They introduced him using the

  704. life counselor. I thought I was in a full body

  705. brace as far as well from from here because of my back.

  706. And I was in a wheelchair because I couldn't get around

  707. real fast. And sometimes you need to get

  708. around real fast, especially when it's time to go to the RR

  709. and see. I didn't know that we're going

  710. to be in a church that had a bathroom 2 miles down the hall.

  711. People said you can't walk. I said I can walk.

  712. But not fast enough to get to the RR.

  713. So I had, I sat back there where my son's standing right now,

  714. That was my seat and that my wheelchair was right behind

  715. that, that first chair on that aisle.

  716. Well, I knew what they were talking about, and I believe

  717. that I'd received my healing back in 2007.

  718. I did this verse. Nothing came out of my mouth.

  719. Contrary, I did not say I have cancer, Not one time I tell

  720. people I say, what's the matter with you?

  721. I look like I had cancer for sure.

  722. But I said, listen, I've been diagnosed with cancer, but I

  723. don't have it. See, that's the problem with a

  724. lot of people. They'll come to the prayer line

  725. and said I have diabetes, I have, I have, I have.

  726. And they'll list all the things they have.

  727. You know why you have it? Because you said you had it.

  728. Quit saying that. Start saying what God said.

  729. I believe that I received my handling at the moment that I

  730. asked. For it.

  731. And didn't manifest in a minute. It took ten years.

  732. Some people ain't got 10 minutes you can't quit, but the Lord

  733. did. Some amazing things.

  734. I mean when you get the card from the end of life counselor,

  735. you know what they're telling you?

  736. I remember Melanie's pushing me down the hall and crying.

  737. I can't turn around and say here I'm all messed up here.

  738. And I said what are you crying about, baby?

  739. And she says. That was the worst report since

  740. we've been here. I said, Oh yeah, I know that was

  741. bad. I said, but here's another

  742. report. I will not die.

  743. I will live, and I will show forth the glory of God and we.

  744. Will come back to every appointment and tell their

  745. report Lines up with my report. So me standing here tonight

  746. should tell you what happened. See.

  747. Faith is always to be active. I remember, I mean, when they

  748. declared me cancer free, they said it was nothing that we did.

  749. Said the chemo does not do what happened in your body.

  750. I said that's great. I told him.

  751. I said I've been believing for that for quite a while now.

  752. All right. And see, here's the thing I

  753. heard learn from Pastor Mark. Everybody know Pastor Mark can

  754. tell us he preached one night one, I guess we were there in

  755. the morning and he talked about what is the opposite of faith.

  756. Somebody give me what do you what do you think the opposite

  757. of faith is doubt. It's not a doubt.

  758. It's sight. Now, when he first said that, I

  759. said. What?

  760. And then I got to thinking about it.

  761. Faith is what you do until you see it.

  762. So if you see it, guess what? You don't have to have faith.

  763. And I remember we finally, eight months after I went into the

  764. hospital, eight months later, I finally got to see neurology

  765. about my back. But you know what?

  766. My back wasn't hurting anymore. And they said and and everybody

  767. thought it was because I was on drugs.

  768. And man, I was on some drugs. Was pastor call me slobber an

  769. idiot. That what he called me.

  770. He said he was a slobber, an idiot.

  771. I said, listen, man, I said I just.

  772. Wish you'd you know. Sit down and had an interview

  773. with me when I was on drugs. First thing I thought.

  774. I'm getting off these drugs. OK, because it.

  775. Does make you see stuff and thank the Lord every time I saw

  776. something, I said. That ain't real.

  777. Not go on. And then you know what I saw?

  778. I always saw it out of the. Peripheral running along the

  779. baseboard and I didn't go no. Did you see that?

  780. I never did that. Not one time, because I in in my

  781. spirit, man. I knew it wasn't real.

  782. So I decided I got to get off these drugs, man, and I went

  783. cold Turkey. And I'm telling you, it's worse.

  784. 12 days of my life, I mean, sweating, changing sheets.

  785. I mean, it was horrible, all right.

  786. But it got off them. All right, I know I I'm not

  787. living like this. But it was strange.

  788. My back didn't hurt. I get in the I get in the office

  789. with the neurology. 8 months later they'd already talked and

  790. he walks in and I looked at Mel and I go, I looked at him.

  791. I said, man, I probably said Sir, didn't I, Sir?

  792. How old are you? He goes.

  793. I'm 35. I looked at Mel and I said he

  794. hadn't shaved a day in his life and he said he said Mr. Clay, he

  795. said, I see you're not on any painkiller.

  796. And I said no, Sir, He said your back hurt.

  797. And I said no Sir, not at all. He said, Well, he said that can

  798. you do a few? Did you dress yourself this

  799. morning? Look at Melanie, I said.

  800. Don't look that bad. He said how about he said he

  801. said did you come in here unaided?

  802. And I said yes, because I wasn't in a wheelchair.

  803. They'd already taken the brace off because I didn't know what

  804. was going on. But they said, hey, yeah, he can

  805. take his brace off now. And I thought, that's weird.

  806. OK, so I get in there and they show me the MRI and I see the

  807. first one. I recognized it my the front of

  808. my T3 was eaten completely out and my T2 and my T4 were

  809. touching. And it's excruciating.

  810. I'd get up at. 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning before all this

  811. started and I just let hot water until I ran the tank out, just

  812. hit me in the back looking for relief and and and and that's as

  813. long as it lasted. And so when he said, Mr. Clay, I

  814. want you to see your next MRI so we can't explain it, he said.

  815. Your back is completely grown back.

  816. We've never seen this before. They said, and there's no

  817. surgery we could do to make you any better than you are.

  818. Thank you very much. I got to go.

  819. But it seemed like miracle after miracle.

  820. That he was. Performing.

  821. But I know what it is because people had asked me, you know,

  822. they said, did you ever doubt? I said no, I did not doubt.

  823. I knew my purpose. I know why I'm here.

  824. I've said for years, if cancer ever attacks your body, you

  825. better have a purpose for being here.

  826. Stronger than that. Cancer.

  827. Or guess what? You're going.

  828. I said I'm not leaving. I'm not done.

  829. I'm just got down here, you know.

  830. Devil tried to rip 10 years of my life off.

  831. I'm behind, man. I am 10 years behind.

  832. But he said he can make it up for.

  833. Me he did. And let me give you that you

  834. know. We read this verse. 24 Therefore

  835. I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when you

  836. pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

  837. But look at verse 25 And when you stand praying, forgive, if

  838. you have anything against any, that your Father also which is

  839. in heaven, may forgive you of your trespasses.

  840. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father, which

  841. is in heaven. Forgive your trespasses.

  842. And it did not say unless you're born again.

  843. Now I gave you some results tonight.

  844. Result of little, you know, little faith and all.

  845. I don't even want to know what the.

  846. Result of that is when it says that God will not forgive you.

  847. I don't want to know what that means.

  848. I'm going to walk in in forgiveness for anything,

  849. anything anybody says, anything, anybody does, anything.

  850. I'm walking in forgiveness. It's that that that verse is

  851. spooky. Because what is the result of

  852. God not forgiving you? I don't even want to know.

  853. I'm going to do what he says. Forgive, forgive, forgive,

  854. Forgive as best as you can. Let it go.

  855. Don't be bound up. So he tells us in there, he

  856. says. He says in there.

  857. But let's go over to James Chapter one, because I want to

  858. talk to you about the the doubting quotient that you

  859. cannot have and expect to receive from him.

  860. James is 1/2 brother of Jesus. His mom and dad was Mary and

  861. Joseph didn't know if you knew that or not, could have said a

  862. lot of things. When he introduced himself, he

  863. said hi, I'm James Jesus half brother.

  864. But he didn't verse one. He said James the servant of God

  865. and of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a servant of Jesus.

  866. All right, so let's take a look at verses 5 through 8, James

  867. says is if any of you lack wisdom.

  868. Oh, no, no, no. Back.

  869. I'm backing up. Bear with me, we'll get to that.

  870. Let's just look at this. It said my brother and counted

  871. all joy. When you fall into divers

  872. temptations, testings and trials, knowing this, that the

  873. trying of your faith works patience.

  874. But let patience have it's perfect work that you may be

  875. perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

  876. I heard a man say this one time, he said.

  877. If you're prepared to stand forever on any issue, you'll

  878. find out it won't take very long.

  879. I'll be honest with you, 10 years is a long time.

  880. But when I look back. At it, it, it just seemed like

  881. that, he said. Let patience have his perfect

  882. work. That you may be imperfect and

  883. entire wanting nothing. That you know the lack of

  884. patience is an enemy to faith. You can't have it.

  885. You cannot have that Notice what he says this.

  886. All right. Verse 5.

  887. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that gives us all

  888. men liberally, and a brave do not, and it shall be given him.

  889. But let him ask in faith nothing wavering for he that wavers like

  890. a wave of the sea driven with the wind and toss.

  891. For let not that man think he will receive anything of the

  892. Lord. A double minded man is unstable

  893. in all his ways. So he's telling.

  894. Us right here. The number one way to not get

  895. your prayer answer is to doubt, said.

  896. Don't expect to get anything. That's why people ask me, did

  897. you ever doubt? I said.

  898. No, you can't doubt and get it, he said.

  899. Do not let that man think he will receive anything from the

  900. Lord. So if you know one minute you,

  901. you know you, yes, I you know me and God.

  902. And then the pain hits, or a doctor gives you a bad report,

  903. or something happens to the car, or you know something's going on

  904. at. Work or whatever you When you

  905. make that request unto God, you have to stay with it in the

  906. arena of faith. It's the thing that gets the

  907. exchange. Now when we talk about, you

  908. know, that particular passage, he said.

  909. Don't be like the wind. And I and I love as you go on

  910. down there, you get down to verse 2122 in there, he said.

  911. But be doers of the word and not hearers, only deceiving your own

  912. self. A lot of people blame stuff on

  913. the devil, and it ain't even his fault.

  914. He said be a doer of the word. Here's the deal.

  915. The word doer in the Greek is the word poetase, which means a

  916. poet in other. Words.

  917. He wants us. And and that definition of that

  918. is to write with a creative flair.

  919. So sometimes we may not know exactly what the steps are, but

  920. he's going to give us the creativity to see it through

  921. that it because, you know, sometimes it's not explained

  922. exactly what the word says to do.

  923. He said Man be a doer. He said seek the Lord for

  924. creativity. Seek the Lord for wisdom that

  925. upbraids not. In other words, God don't make

  926. fun of you because you don't know.

  927. He said he gives it to you liberally.

  928. But he said. But don't ask.

  929. Without having faith, All right. You got to have it all right,

  930. you know, and and again, you know.

  931. One of the points that I want to make in closing is that again,

  932. scripturally speaking, it seems like faith is the thing

  933. necessary when crisis happens. All right, Jesus promised us

  934. tribulation is coming. Not the great tribulation for us

  935. it is coming. OK, but he said in John chapter

    John 16:30

  936. 16 verse 30. 3. All right.

  937. And you can look at it, on it, guys.

  938. I don't think I gave it to you. But he he said he, he, he in

  939. there told us, he said to be of good cheer.

  940. He has overcome. Basically he has overcome the

  941. world. He said in the world you'll have

  942. tribulation. But be of good cheer for I've

  943. overcome the world. And then you go over to 1st

  944. John, chapter 5, verse four, and he said, and what is this

    John 5 chapter mention

  945. victory that overcomes the world, even our faith?

  946. So is faith important or not absolutely important?

  947. You know, you and this next year I just encourage people start

  948. finding out what God said about you and believe it.

  949. You know, we do it every day. Anybody ever phone commercial?

  950. Commercial airlines? None of y'all's flown

  951. commercial. Let May I see your hand?

  952. Goodness gracious. These.

  953. I can't see the whites of your eyes with these lights in mind.

  954. But let me ask you a question. You.

  955. You now, it's all digital, right?

  956. You get online, You know you get on there.

  957. You're going to get your tickets.

  958. You're going to get your tickets early.

  959. You're going to take your tickets with you.

  960. Let me ask you a question. What proof do you have?

  961. That you're going to fly from here, Let's say Tulsa.

  962. OK, That's a destination all of us know about.

  963. All right. What does Tulsa look like,

  964. 30,000? Feet in the air.

  965. You believe them at their word. They produced a document.

  966. They said if you get on the plane at this time at this gate,

  967. we're going to take you to Tulsa.

  968. You were convinced based upon something you heard or basically

  969. something you. Read.

  970. But don't we have documented evidence that people got on a

  971. plane thinking they were going to make it to a destination and

  972. did not? Same thing we we have faith.

  973. We are convinced and persuaded by the words that are spoken to

  974. us. How in the world could we not

  975. believe the one that hung in the sun, the moon, the stars created

  976. everything that you can see with your natural eyes and say it's

  977. too hard for him? We sang that tonight.

  978. Nothing. It's too hard for our God.

  979. And the currency to make that exchange with him.
