Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast
-
from St. Augustine, FL.
-
Now enjoy this message. Let's start in Ephesians chapter
-
6, verse 11. Tonight, Ephesians 611, and
-
we're going to read 11:00 and 12:00.
-
And it says this, it says, but put on the full armor of God, so
-
that you'll be able to stand firm against the schemes of the
-
devil for our struggles not against flesh and blood, but
-
against rulers, against powers, against war, forces of darkness,
-
against spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.
-
God gave me this context, and we're going to discover it even
-
now, because I believe there's more that he wants to mine out
-
that I haven't even mined yet. And we're going to even get more
-
tonight as we minister. But I went.
-
To the to the state today Capitol.
-
And once again had the opportunity.
-
Today was their first session divided.
-
So they just opened session yesterday.
-
Everyone was together in the House because the House is
-
bigger. And Governor Ron DeSantis flew
-
in and he addressed all of them. And then today they're starting
-
their sessions, the Senate and the House.
-
And so the lady who is The Who takes care of the chaplain of
-
the day, she says this, you're my first one.
-
I said, well, I'll be your best one and everybody else you'll
-
judge after me. And so you know, she goes, well,
-
do we go in here? I said, well, the last time I
-
was here, we went this way. I'm glad that you've done this
-
before. I said, I am too.
-
And I'm glad I understand some protocol because I don't want to
-
get up in here and look stupid. And so anyway, with that being
-
said, we came in, we had a good conversation, you know.
-
And again, this is all for 60 seconds.
-
I added a paragraph so I get a little bit more because when I
-
pray in the at the government, you need to understand this.
-
It is a sermon, OK? I pray scripture and we leave
-
things because I know the Holy Ghost causes things to come to
-
their remembrance. How many of you have
-
photographic memory? Anyone at all have photographic
-
memory that you hear it once you can keep it.
-
OK, great. Not everybody has that, but you
-
know the Holy Ghost does. And so even if the human being.
-
Doesn't the Holy Ghost does. So when I did that prayer, it is
-
forever able to be recalled to the memory of every senator and
-
aid that was in the room and anyone else watching on TV.
-
Everyone. So the words is it worth driving
-
6 hours to to deliver 60 seconds of scripture?
-
You. Bet it is.
-
You bet it is. Right now my tradition is, is
-
then I hang out because, you know, I don't technically like
-
to pray and leave. But in this circumstance,
-
because I got called within 24 hours, I said, you know, today.
-
I'm going to have to go back so I won't be able to stay.
-
I obviously saw our representative, Senator Travis
-
Hudson, got this talk with him. He came to me, We chit chatted a
-
little bit. I thanked him for calling me up
-
off the bench. Because I answered the call, it
-
allowed him to be the sponsor of the day again and so I hope to
-
give him plenty of exercise for a little bit, right?
-
With that being said, again, I'm going back January 29th to meet
-
with the legislators, so I'm not surprised I got the call because
-
the next because. I'm going at the end of the
-
month to meet with the legislators.
-
A meeting's been set up for us to do this.
-
The Holy Ghost now can recall you were just here.
-
Say Amen. Why is this important?
-
Because God's called us to impact the nation.
-
But here's the thing. Our battle, our struggle once as
-
we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against rulers,
-
against powers, against world forces and darkness, against
-
spiritual forces and wickedness in heavenly places.
-
Spiritual realms come through government.
-
They take territory through government, because government
-
is God's legal way of power, you say?
-
How is that? Because he's a Kingdom and the
-
enemy? Through seducing spirits and
-
doctrines of demons has been able to sway the US Church based
-
upon a letter written from Thomas Jefferson to a clergyman
-
concerning them writing the Declaration of Independence.
-
Of a statement called the separation of Church and State.
-
That we have created the idea of Church to be so separated from
-
government, or that it has no context of government, that
-
we've given free reign for the enemy to set up principalities
-
because we're the church here. The government?
-
No, the church is government because the church is the
-
Kingdom of God. All we have to do is go to
-
Isaiah, Chapter 9. Y'all know it well here, verse
Isaiah 9 chapter mention
-
six, right? A child will be born, a son will
-
be given, and the the government is going to rest on his
-
shoulders. Who are the ambassadors of that
-
government or to that government?
-
We are so again if we are not engaging in areas.
-
But again, my battles not with the Republicans, my battles not
-
with the Independent, my battles not with the Green Party, my
-
battles not with the Democrats. Are you hearing me?
-
My battles? Not with that.
-
My battles with principalities and powers and I want to show
-
you tonight how we are to navigate because again, our
-
teaching this year, and we're going to talk about it more on
-
Sunday. God said that this is our year
-
of the reigning spirit. We're going to understand the
-
realm of the spirit, and these teachings cannot be exclusive to
-
Sunday. There's too much to cover for it
-
to be exclusive. And I'm not running a series per
-
SE, but I'm just saying they're going to become so intertwined,
-
you may get back at the end of 2024 and say we had one long
-
sermon in one sense, OK? And so here, verse 11 tells us
-
that if we're putting on this full armor of God, it gives us
-
capacity to be able to stand firm against.
-
What the schemes of the devil? Because he goes on and says
-
this. These struggles are not human
-
beings. It comes from this ruler of
-
darkness that has rulers, powers, world forces and
-
darkness and spiritual forces and Wiccan in heavenly places.
-
The enemy has an order. He is not chaos.
-
The devil is not chaotic. He's methodical, He's planned.
-
He actually is extremely patient because in essence, the word
-
devil, which is more of his description, not his name.
-
It is like taking, you know, a water.
-
They used to do this in torture and they would put a person
-
down. They would let it just drip,
-
drip slowly drip, just keep dripping right till it just
-
drives him crazy. Well, what he does with thoughts
-
is he keeps sending it. In essence, he keeps pounding
-
the thought, pound the thought, pound the thought till it can
-
penetrate. You.
-
And he'll just keep sending them.
-
The good news is if you have on the full armor of God, you have
-
a helmet that is should go ping ping.
-
And when I say ping, it's it's not because you're not thinking
-
ping. Second Corinthians tells us that
-
we are to take every thought captive.
-
OK, but I want us to look from a perspective with Jesus, because
-
Jesus did something really awesome, and because he did
-
something really awesome, he's letting us know you don't do
-
what I did. In this context, it looks
-
different. Let me tell you when I say that.
-
Because you say, well, Jesus said the worst that I do, even
-
we will do in greater works. Well, are we going to go and die
-
on a cross for the sins of humanity?
-
Obviously we're not. So are we going to be able to do
-
that work? Nope.
-
There's another work Jesus did that you're not doing, so you
-
shouldn't use his tactic. Everything Jesus did is not for
-
us to do because there were things He did, because it was
-
his assignment, Because you may die for the sake of Christ, you
-
may shed blood for the sake of Christ, but your shedding of
-
blood does not literally save someone's life from eternal
-
damnation. It may save their life in the
-
natural, it may give them longevity in the earth.
-
It may even because of that action cause them to accept
-
Jesus as Lord. But it's the blood of Christ
-
that saves them, not the blood you shed for them.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? OK, so then let's turn over to
-
We'll start in verse one. OK?
-
I want us to read this context, so I'm just going to read the
-
1st 11, So we'll have it. OK, It says it's.
-
Jesus, full of the Holy Ghost, returned from the Jordan and was
-
led around by the Spirit in the wilderness for 40 days, being
-
tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those
-
days. And when it had ended he became
-
hungry. And the devil said to him, If
-
you are the Son of God, tell the stones to become bread.
-
And Jesus answer it is written, Man shall not live on bread
-
alone. And he led him up to show him.
-
All the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time the devil said
-
to him, I I will give you all this domain and its glory, for
-
it has been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I
-
wish. Therefore if you worship before
-
me, it shall be yours. In Jesus answer it is written,
-
You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.
-
And then And he led him to Jerusalem, and had him stand on
-
the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If you are the Son
-
of God, throw yourself down, for it is written.
-
So I'm going to use Scripture. Now says the devil, he will
-
command, and his angels concerning you to guard you, and
-
on their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not
-
strike your foot against the stone.
-
He goes on and says to him, You shall not tempt the Lord your
-
God, right? And it says the devil left him
-
right and look for what a more opportune time?
-
Now, so there's obviously a couple more verses than I that I
-
quoted here, but, you know, in that context.
-
So the first thing we need to recognize is that Jesus never
-
encountered the devil. Empty.
-
OK, I'm going to say that again. Jesus never encountered the
-
devil. Empty.
-
So first and foremost, if you are born again, born of God, and
-
the Holy Ghost is in you that bear to bear witness with your
-
spirit, you are child of God. That doesn't mean you're full,
-
because Jesus was perfect, meaning his spirit was right
-
with God. But the Holy Ghost came upon him
-
and gave him power. So he he did not even go to the
-
devil till after John baptized him, the heavens opened up, the
-
Holy Ghost came upon him. He was then endued with power,
-
and when he was full of the Holy Ghost, 'cause, he could hear the
-
Holy Ghost. Prior to that, the Holy Ghost
-
was already teaching him Scripture.
-
He was mind blowing to the scribes when he was teaching at
-
13 years old in the temple. But when it came to power, he
-
did not go until after the Holy Ghost came upon him.
-
And when it did, he was full of the Holy Spirit being LED into
-
the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
-
And the Bible tells us he was tempted on all accounts.
-
Jesus was tempted on all accounts.
-
You were never to be tempted on all accounts.
-
It's not your assignment to go get tempted on all accounts.
-
Jesus did it. Any temptation out there Jesus
-
faced. You don't have to face every
-
temptation, though you will face some.
-
You're going to face some, OK? He faced them all.
-
Now when he faced them, he faced them in fasting because he
-
didn't eat. Said he ate nothing in those
-
days. Now he didn't realize he was
-
hungry until it was done. Which means he was so full of
-
the Holy Ghost that even though the devil tempted him with food,
-
he was able to always respond. How it is it is written?
-
Are you hearing me? Obviously in this account we see
-
the 2nd temptation is the big prize anyway because Jesus is
-
coming to do what was mentioned in Genesis chapter 3.
Genesis 3 chapter mention
-
In Genesis chapter 3 is the fall of man.
Genesis 3 chapter mention
-
And what did man fall from? He did not fall from heaven.
-
He fell from dominion. Because man was not created in
-
heaven or for heaven. He was created to rule in this
-
realm under God. God said let us make man in our
-
image according to our likeness, right?
-
Genesis 126. And let him have rule or
-
dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, over
-
all the cattle, over everything. In essence, you're the king of
-
the kingdoms of the world. The way the world functions, its
-
system, you are to do it underneath my spirit, leading
-
from my realm in heaven, your realms on earth.
-
And we will converse, we will have relationship.
-
Our two areas are exact because you're in my image and you're
-
functioning, functioning in it as I do here.
-
And as long as man would have done that, we would have no
-
issue, right? And so he needs to know that man
-
loves him. So he says, listen, you can eat
-
from any tree of the garden, but of the tree, of the knowledge of
-
good and evil, you shall not eat.
-
For that you eat, you will die. So if Adam had never eaten the
-
fruit, where would he be today? Right here.
-
He would not be going to heaven. Now let me just pause because we
-
have guests. I'm not saying that when you
-
die, you don't go to heaven, you just stand the earth.
-
That's not true. To be absent from the body is to
-
be what? Present with the Lord.
-
Where is Jesus presently? He's in heaven.
-
He is. Is he staying there?
-
He is not. If you read the Bible he
-
actually shows back up on the planet.
-
We have a 1000 year millennial reign with Christ of which he
-
does not exit. We do get a new heaven and a new
-
earth. OK, so but Adam does eat the
-
fruit. And Luke tells us when he says,
-
look at all these kingdoms, look how this place is functioning.
-
Because this is what you're after, right?
-
And look, I'll just give it to you.
-
All you got to do is bow down, bow your knee to me.
-
Just submit. I I'm the ruler of this.
-
It's been handed over to me. Who do you get it from?
-
Adam. So once again, God, because he
-
gave man rulership, cannot take it as God.
-
That's right. This is why God has to send his
-
seed through the woman in Genesis 315.
-
When he talks to the serpent, what he called him, He's called
-
him the serpent because obviously the scriptures
-
references that. He said he went to the serpent.
-
He says what have you done? He said he.
-
Well, I didn't say what you've done, he said to him, he said
-
that you're cursed, you know, and then he goes and he said I'm
-
bringing my seed through the woman.
-
You're going to bruise his heel, but he's going to crush your
-
head. And we know the Bible says Jesus
-
came to destroy the works of the devil.
-
What is the devil's work? Rebellion to God's word.
-
It's a hatred for the things of God.
-
It's disobedience. And he is.
-
Crushing it so that you don't have to disobey or rebel ever
-
again. Are you here?
-
And that good news. That's good news.
-
So Jesus is on assignment to do something.
-
Now Jesus's assignment requires him to die.
-
It's a requirement and he tell if he he communicates.
-
This. He says I'm going to die, but on
-
the third day I'm going to die, but on the third day.
-
Now why does Jesus have to die? Because Romans tells us that the
-
wages of sin, Romans 623, that the wages of sin is so when Adam
-
transgressed through one man's transgression, sin enter the
-
world. Sin must be paid.
-
God's the only one who can pay it, because silver and gold
-
can't do it. Your bulls and your sheep can't
-
do it. Sacrifices aren't going to work.
-
Natural ones. There's only one way that this
-
can be eradicated, paid in full, once and for all.
-
And that is the precious blood of Jesus.
-
That's why Jesus told them in Matthew 16.
-
He said, you know who do people say that I am?
-
You're this prophet. Who do you say they am?
-
You're the Christ. You're blessed, Peter.
-
You know, because the Father, not flesh and blood, not
-
revealed this, but my Father in heaven, he goes, now listen, I'm
-
going to die at the hands of the Pharisees and scribe.
-
But on the third day I'm going to raise up.
-
Peter doesn't listen to the latter part.
-
He only hears he's going to die. He pulls him to the side and he
-
says, Jesus, may it never be. You're not going to die.
-
And Jesus says, what? Get thee behind me, Satan, for
-
you've set your mind on the interest of man.
-
You're letting your emotions about me control your actions.
-
And here this is the problem. When you try to define Jesus for
-
you, then you try to make Jesus conform to your emotions about
-
situations. But Jesus is not going to
-
conform to your emotions. He's only going to stay with the
-
plan. He says You set your interest on
-
the mind of man instead of the mind of God.
-
In essence, I'm not going to go here.
-
In fact he was so purposeful that when his disciples are
-
leaving because he preaches A sermon about drinking blood and
-
eating flesh. OK, not you know as a type in
-
shadow they they are blown away by that leaf he turns.
-
His own disciples have been traveling with him seeing all
-
the miracle signs and wants to say you going to go to.
-
So at the end of the day what I'm doing is not stopping.
-
He even tells Peter You going to deny me three times but I'm
-
going. Are you hearing me now?
-
We have to. Then you have to understand
-
Jesus is required by his by a plan to have to do something.
-
He goes to the devil. In essence, Jesus is letting him
-
know I'm here, I'm here. But notice the devil did not
-
destroy you. Ain't that interesting?
-
The devil didn't say I'm a you're you're problematic.
-
I'm going to have to kill you right now because.
-
Although our battles with the spirit realm, we're not
-
physically fighting the spirit realm, and Jesus can't win the
-
battle strictly in the spirit for the earth 'cause if he
-
could, why does he have to be a man?
-
So Jesus goes and picks a fight. Because here's the thing, this
-
is crazy thought, but it's truth.
-
Jesus needs the devil to kill him.
-
So I'm gonna have to go after some people because those
-
people, the spirits, function through.
-
Amen. That's.
-
Good. Now it wasn't Caesar.
-
Matthew 23 One through three it says this Jesus spoke to the
-
crowds and said to his disciples, saying, the scribes
-
and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of
-
Moses. Therefore, all that they tell
-
you do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds, for
-
they say things they do not and do not do them.
-
I never heard Jesus one time speak bad about a Roman soldier.
-
I never. I can find nowhere in the four
-
pages of the gospel that Jesus had words of that would seem
-
attacking to anyone except in one sense except the
-
Syrophoenician. Woman that would seem attacking
-
when he says, you know, heating is the the bread of, you know,
-
God's children, he said you don't throw it to the dogs.
-
And she says even the dogs eat from the crumbs from the
-
master's table and he says your daughter is, well, that was a
-
good answer, right? That's pretty amazing.
-
But outside of that, he's not running down sinners.
-
He's not even. And and when I say Sinner, we're
-
talking Jewish people because he was there for the Jews, He
-
wasn't there for the Gentiles, although ultimately he's there
-
for the Gentiles. But he's not dealing with the
-
Gentiles. He's not here for the House of
-
Israel, OK, Because how they going to respond to me is how is
-
going to open the door for us, OK.
-
But at the end of the day, I have to die.
-
Now here's the problem. Jesus has.
-
I can't because I don't have any sin and the wages of sin is and
-
he never sinned. So in essence he's like the
-
first Adam that if he never had eaten the fruit he'd still be
-
alive today and we would go see. So Jesus is in the same
-
condition and in order for the fulfillment of prophecy, he
-
needs a group of people who are willing to function in cahoots
-
with principalities and powers to the point of violence.
-
And it is religious sinners. Now I say sinners because
-
they're all cut off, but you understand Pharisees and scribes
-
actually had a contest called They were priests.
-
The context of having an anointing, these are covenant
-
people. But these are covenant people
-
that like the tradition of how they interpret the word.
-
Then how God does it? Although they have access to
-
rightly divide, and because they have access to rightly divide,
-
but willfully refuse it. Because they love the powers of
-
the world and they want how the principalities and powers
-
function with the Gentiles. That they compromise their
-
responsibility, that they should be training Israel the right
-
things of God through the Law of Moses, but instead are like the
-
government that has principalities and powers in
-
Rome, that are taking from people, abusing people,
-
manipulating people, taking advantage.
-
And they've pulled it into their religion.
-
And these are the ones Jesus goes after.
-
He goes on the same chapters, jump down to verse 13.
-
He makes this statement, he says.
-
But woe to you scribes, Pharisees, hypocrites, because
-
you shut off the Kingdom of heaven from people.
-
For you do not enter in yourself, nor do you allow those
-
who are entering in. Notice what he says, that he
-
calls them hypocrites. I mean, this is really attacking
-
speech. Two people who have placed
-
themselves in their nation in a seat of power.
-
These people have access not only to their own government,
-
King Herod, but they have access to Caesar Rome.
-
They are working all of the governments that are being
-
influenced through principalities and powers.
-
If we go on and and I I'm not going to read them all, but in
-
verse 14 of this chapter, verse 15 of this chapter, verse 23 of
-
this chapter, verse 27 of this chapter, verse 29 of this
-
chapter, all of these verses say this.
-
But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites.
-
He's like on a rant and they're in the building.
-
I mean, he's not mincing words. He's calling them what they are.
-
They're fake news in a modern vernacular.
-
Are you hearing me? Now?
-
I'm not saying that to say people who say that are like,
-
Jesus, 'cause that's not true. I'm just using a modern
-
vernacular, OK? If you go on, then he ends up
-
getting really specific. In the 33rd verse in Matthew
-
2333, it says this usurpants you brood of Vipers, how will you
-
escape? The sentence of Hell Woo.
-
Tell me about just making somebody mad.
-
He's picking. I mean, he's asking I dare you
-
to kill me, 'cause Jesus knows who he is.
-
But he understand Jesus is a fighter, unlike all fighters,
-
because he fights according to the rules that which is laid
-
out. He's following what he knows
-
about him from the Law and the Prophets.
-
He knows who he is and he knows his assignment.
-
I'm going to have to lay down my life for the.
-
World. But I can't do it in and of
-
myself. I'm going to need those that are
-
in the principalities and powers that have real power 'cause it's
-
been given to them by the 1st Adam.
-
For me to take that back. I've got to engage the ones that
-
are being influenced by that because my battle is really not
-
against the flesh and blood, it's against that principality
-
power and I need them to Take Me Out.
-
Jesus was never trying to sit on a natural throne because every
-
time they tried to, he said not Tom.
-
I'm out of here because I know the hearts of man.
-
They want me to be king, and if they knew I took that power, now
-
I'd have to throw them all into the lake of.
-
Fire. There'd be no redemptive value,
-
right? But Jesus gets even more tight.
-
Look at Jesus. Jesus says now this you have to
-
understand. In order for you to understand
-
who he's talking to, you would have to jump all the way back up
-
to the 13th verse. Okay, because he's in a whole
-
dialogue and there's some individuals he's talking to.
-
He's dealing with the Pharisees, OK in this.
-
But then in there is in a mingled of some, some Jewish
-
people That just means people of the nation of Israel who have
-
heard Jesus and they're deciding we're going to believe him and
-
we're going to quit believing the Pharisees.
-
We're going to actually start believing in him.
-
And so he's having some dialogue with him.
-
In fact, prior to this he's saying now listen as he's saying
-
to them, he said listen, if you'll continue in my word and
-
have my word, then man, you'll be my disciple.
-
He's talking, but in the Pharisees Foresees are upset
-
about that. So they keep engaging him.
-
In essence, they keep nagging at him because they hate him.
-
He goes on and says this, He said, if you were said to them
-
the fairy. He said, if you were, if, if God
-
were your father, you would love me.
-
For I proceed forth and have come from the Father, for I have
-
not even come on my own initiative.
-
But he sent me. OK, he said.
-
Why do you not understand what I'm saying?
-
It's because you cannot hear my word, he said.
-
You are now. You are of your father, the
-
devil. That's why I called them Vipers.
-
He said. You serpents, you brood of
-
Vipers. He said you are of your devil,
-
your father the devil. And you do.
-
And you want to do the desires of your father.
-
He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in
-
the truth, because there is no truth in him.
-
Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, and
-
he is a liar and the father of lies.
-
But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me, he said.
-
Which one of you convicts me a sin?
-
Now he's talking because he's like you show up here and
-
there's no conviction, but when you look at me, your sins
-
exposed, oh, he's calling them out, right?
-
He said if I speak truth, why do you not believe me?
-
He who is of God hears the words of God.
-
For this reason you do not hear them because you are not of God.
-
Drop the mic. I'll go heal somebody now,
-
right? Well, how did this make them
-
feel? They hated it.
-
They hated it so much that they came together and they said we
-
got to kill this guy we're. Going to kill this guy.
-
We're going to kill this guy. We're going to kill this guy.
-
We're going to kill this guy. Now listen, Jesus ran enough off
-
just with his own preaching. He goes on, you know, and gets
-
something else. You drinking my blood and eat in
-
my flesh or have nothing. And the people following me is
-
like this is too thick now I can't even hang with this.
-
And so they begin to pull away. And it didn't take them long for
-
the principalities and powers that were operating through the
-
Pharisees to sway, even those that now they were able to get
-
to Judas. Because Judas, the whole time is
-
scared, is scared is all he cared about was I want to be
-
with the guy that's going to be the king, and this dude doesn't
-
ever want to take the throne. So it's like, you know, I mean,
-
people are really starting to hate him.
-
I mean, we're not. I mean the merit we were in and
-
I was going to be a part of this Kingdom, like close contact.
-
I mean, I'd be a part of all the money, the taxation, everything
-
that goes with the king. I mean, I'm set up for life, but
-
the guy won't get in position. So I'm going to go make an
-
allegiance. With the other side.
-
And he did. That for 30 pieces of silver
-
betrays him. Right now Jesus is fighting.
-
This is his strategy of war before he.
-
He knows I have made him mad enough.
-
I have. I have come against them enough
-
now that they are acting and my time has come.
-
And so he. Goes to the garden to pray
-
because he says now. I'll continue to fight this way,
-
Father, if this is what you want, because I know that this
-
cost me you, I'm going to be separated from you.
-
I'm going to take on sin, and I don't want that.
-
So if there's any other way, let's do this right now.
-
Talk to me right now. I want your ram in the thicket,
-
right. And as the Lord's no Rams
-
coming, son, no Rams coming, he said.
-
Not my will. Your will be done.
-
And they show up right? And they beat him.
-
And all the while Jesus doesn't talk and they accuse him and he
-
don't talk and they what are you going to do about your accusers?
-
He's like bro fuss. So then he opens his mouth.
-
I am woo man. That done it right there.
-
What more do we need? Blasphemy.
-
He's gone, right? And so then the.
-
Soldiers because they're all in cahoots.
-
Why are they in cahoots? Because principalities and
-
powers are functioning through humanity, and Jesus is using
-
this in order for him to defeat the works of the devil.
-
They put him on the cross because think about it, Jesus is
-
bled so much but yet he has not bled out.
-
I mean, he can't go till he goes.
-
He just needed the pathway because now you've you have
-
condemned and put the action that any normal human being
-
would be dead. But I'm giving up my spirit
-
voluntarily. Here's the price We get over to
-
Colossians Chapter 2, verse 14 and 15.
-
It says this having canceled this amplified classic and
-
blotted out, wiped away the handwriting of the note bond
-
with its legal decrease in demands, which was enforced and
-
stood against us. In essence we all have sinned
-
and fallen short of the glory of God.
-
We all deserved to be judged by the King himself, of which we
-
would be all be found guilty, and we would be rightly cast
-
into the lake of fire, which is the second death.
-
But he paid that price, got it out of the way, so that if we
-
would call on the name of the Lord that note, that certificate
-
that says paid in full could be applied to our lives.
-
So he goes on and says this. This note with this regulation
-
decrees and demand. It is a legal note.
-
It is legal binding, spiritually speaking.
-
OK, for eternity forever OK. It says that this note of
-
regulated decrease in demand he set aside and cleared completely
-
out of the way by nailing it on the cross.
-
God disarmed the principalities and powers that were that were
-
ranged against him and made a bold display in public example
-
of them in triumphing over them in Him and in the cross.
-
So in essence, when Jesus conquered, when he went to the
-
grave, in essence he made a demand.
-
Give me the keys, because I'm innocent.
-
So he takes the keys, he leads, leads captivity, captive.
-
He goes to the Devil as he's going through the Heavens Realm
-
in order to take his blood to the mercy seat.
-
He then disarms in essence. You know, I don't know that term
-
is is too complicated for me to say, but the term is.
-
Is that it? He goes and he strips him of his
-
power. He says where you had power, now
-
I have power. Where you had power, I have
-
power. And every place he had power, he
-
stripped him in the whole realm of the Spirit.
-
Because where are principalities at?
-
Not in hell. The Devil doesn't have his
-
headquarters in Hell. He's in heavenly places, but he
-
stripped him of that. That means Michael knows.
-
Gabriel knows. All the heavenly hosts know the
-
ones that are singing around the Lord right now saying holy,
-
holy, holy is the Lord knows. The devil knows all of his
-
principalities and powers and rulers and darkness and witness.
-
They all know that they've been stripped of the right to be able
-
to maintain power over those that are like God.
-
They have no right. Which brings us to our context,
-
because why is Christians trying to go fight the devil?
-
You are never called to go pick a fight on the devil forever.
-
And when we see the scripture our battles not against we
-
wrestle not this word wrestles kind of cool because if you look
-
it up in the Greek it means 2 opponents that are going to in
-
essence wrestle to the point that one gets put to the mat
-
with the hand on their throat. In essence, Jesus took the devil
-
out, put his foot on his throat, and then when he ascended, he
-
said church, just put your foot there.
-
Just put your foot there. Come on, just put your foot
-
there. Now you understand that is a
-
defeated, vanquished position. When Jesus goes up, he has given
-
you. When you get in Christ, then you
-
just put your foot right where his foot is and he's already in
-
essence, the battle's over when you when if you used to watch
-
wrestling. I did a long time ago, not
-
today, because it's just way too out, even more so.
-
But in essence, Jesus leaned over because you know it's the
-
tag team. He tags you in, you come and he
-
said go ahead and put your foot here.
-
Then he says I'm gone and he leaves the match because I want
-
you get a part of this and just stand there when you've done all
-
the stand stand and we have immature believers saying I'm
-
going to take out the devil. You were never called to go pick
-
a fight on the devil. We going to go pick a fight on
-
the devil. No, you're not.
-
Because if you go pick a fight, that tells me you let him up.
-
You've let him up, 'cause look what Jesus happens to say in
-
John 1714 and 15. It says this.
-
I have given them. He's talking to the Father, says
-
prayer before he said. Now Father, I have given them
-
your people. You better love the word more
-
than anything. If you want explosive spiritual
-
life, you better. Love the word more than
-
anything. Knows what he said.
-
I have given them. Your word, he said.
-
And the world has what hated them, because they are not.
-
Of this world. Even as I am not of this world.
-
Then he goes on and says this. Look what he says.
-
I do not ask you to take them out of the world.
-
My goal is not for them to die and come to heaven.
-
Although when they die, they'll come to heaven.
-
We'll be here for a little bit before we come back.
-
Because again, you got to read the back of the book to realize
-
what's all really going on. And it's not just we win.
-
It's really bigger than that. You do win.
-
That's the simplicity. So much so that you don't
-
understand you're coming back and you're actually going to get
-
more. I don't do war.
-
Yeah, you do, if you would. Jesus.
-
Because Jesus coming back to take some people out.
-
There's a special op going on. Read the book and there's blood.
-
Just say blood and you'll be all right By then.
-
You'll be able to handle that stuff.
-
All that makes me. No, you won't be queasy.
-
You'll be a glorified body. You'll be good.
-
It'll be all good. All right, but he said, I'm not
-
asking you to take them out of the world.
-
But what's he say? Keep them from the evil?
-
He's not saying, look, they're like me.
-
They got my word. Keep them in the world and go
-
tell them to go beat up the devil anytime they want to like
-
I did. No, he says, keep them from it.
-
Don't get don't have them. Get engaged in strict combat
-
'cause I did. That.
-
Just remind them, keep your foot on the neck.
-
He says this again in Second Corinthians chapter 3, verses
2 Corinthians 3 chapter mention
-
one through three. He says This he says, Finally,
-
brethren, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread
-
rapidly, be glorified just as did also with you, and that we
-
would be rescued from perverse and evil men.
-
For not all have faith again. Evil, perverse and evil men are
-
those not flesh and blood, but this is principalities and
-
powers that they still are under because they're still in the
-
domain of darkness and they're stuck over there and so they're
-
still influenced by it and we can be what delivered from them.
-
Now there's a whole lot of way of being delivered and most of
-
us go at about it the wrong way. But I'll and I'll say a couple
-
things about that verse four though he said, but the Lord is
-
faithful and He will strengthen and protect you.
-
What from the Evil 1 cause At the end of the day he said that
-
we are to occupy. To occupy means stay in the
-
position I left you in, he says. It's in Ephesians chapter 4,
-
verse 27. This is the King James Version.
-
I'm going to read you some more, he said Not neither.
-
Give place to the devil, the amplify says.
-
Do not give the devil an opportunity to lead you into sin
-
by holding a grudge or nurturing anger or harboring resentment or
-
cultivating bitterness. It one translation says Leave no
-
such room or foothold for the devil.
-
Give no opportunity to him, Don't let him off the mat.
-
Are you hearing me? One says.
-
Don't give the opportunity to the devil.
-
The passion says don't let the slanderous accuser the devil and
-
opportunity to manipulate you. Now here's where people fail.
-
We already have been positioned with our foot on the neck.
-
We don't wrestle with flesh and blood because we are the victor
-
and the devil is under our. Feet, right.
-
That's where we're at. And as long as we do not allow
-
those that are still in his domain and the words that they
-
still use of because he's talking from down there to them
-
and he's using them to try to get you to do this.
-
Because this is what happens when you start going, oh, you
-
want some of this, You let him up.
-
Flesh and blood becomes distraction.
-
Now let me tell you the same people that are violent in
-
Jesus's time are violent in this time, and I can't tell you how
-
many believers it's just. Pathetic.
-
Say it with me. Pathetic.
-
Say it with disdain. In your facial expression.
-
Pathetic. Come on, dude.
-
Y'all smiling. Pathetic, that is.
-
That's pathetic. Pathetic, right?
-
It's pathetic that Christians are attacking Christians.
-
Don't you know that Jesus is like I know who will try to kill
-
you? It's religious individuals that
-
love their definition of me instead of the definition you're
-
telling them of being rightly divided.
-
So I realize the first people I am not going to get into a match
-
with is a person who says they know the word, they're mature,
-
they've done all these exploits, but yet I don't see any fruit.
-
Come on, that's good. And as a result of that, if I
-
come and attack, then I am setting that person up to want
-
to kill me and I'm not tasked for them to kill me.
-
I'm tasked to live at peace with all men as far as I can.
-
More believers are taking time to fight with other perceived
-
believers instead of just going out into all the world because
-
at the end of the day. I remember one time, Pastor
-
Marcus, remember this, stand up. Y'all so y'all know who Pastor
-
Marcus is, In case nobody knows, so Pastor Marcus and I.
-
You know? And Marlene, where are you?
-
You're in the room because you know, you were part of this.
-
Stand up. So, Marlene, it wasn't her
-
fault, OK? It wasn't her fault.
-
So let me preface that. And it wasn't even her good
-
friend's fault, but it was her good friend's boyfriend.
-
Was the issue. So in the good intentions you
-
can be seated. My mother-in-law invited me and
-
my wife and Marcus was with me over to the house because she
-
had a friend who had a boyfriend that loved God and he.
-
Was kind of the rebel in the Baptist Church.
-
Because he believed. In the gifts of the Spirit.
-
So I walked into the house, right?
-
I walked into the house and I walked in the house.
-
The guy was sitting on like a a stool.
-
And he goes, whoo, I felt the anointing when you came in.
-
Yeah, yeah, man. If you talk like that, you need
-
to. Stop.
-
Please stop. Please, please stop.
-
Whoo. I feel the anointing.
-
I'm like, OK, you know, because I mean, that's already for me.
-
The red flag. Why?
-
I already know it's a red flag. Because you don't have to feel
-
the anointing. All my life I am anointed
-
because we're all anointed. Period.
-
Anyway, so we engage pleasantries.
-
And so, you know, obviously at that point he's, you know, his
-
zeal about the gifts. You know, OK, I'm around
-
somebody else who believes like me.
-
So like he goes through this whole deal, you know, and he was
-
talking about it and obviously he was equating tongues only
-
with the gifts. And that's the only time you can
-
speak in tongues. And I perceive.
-
So I listen to it and that's cool.
-
I said, you know, So then I just started to generally talk about
-
the. Baptism of the Holy Ghost,
-
whatever is speaking in tongues, you know, And I started to see a
-
roadblock, you know, we're Locking up now.
-
He was talking about my anointing.
-
I mean, literally. Man, you're so annoying.
-
Whoo. You know, I happen to hear a
-
couple of your messages. So I mean, I mean just bragged
-
about the anointing in my life. Bro.
-
OK, so at that point, then we start talking.
-
He says, And I said, so. I said, OK.
-
I said, well, where's your Bible?
-
So he pulls his Bible out. So I take him over to John.
-
You know where Jesus breathed in them.
-
I said, did they receive the Holy Ghost?
-
Yeah. Did they get it all?
-
They got it all. I said I believe that too.
-
Yeah, pulled him over to Acts chapter one and then where he
-
says the Holy Ghost going to come and he was like, so he
-
starts flipping back and forth, right.
-
So then he goes down to his commentary because he had a
-
commentary by someone who doesn't believe in the baptism
-
of the Holy Ghost. What evidence is speaking in
-
tongues? See, the guy believed you could
-
have tongues as a gift to the Spirit only, but that we
-
couldn't be in do with power because he really didn't know
-
the Bible, which really wasn't even functioning in the gifts.
-
He was like Simon the sorcerer who wanted gifts to be
-
functioning so he could seem anointed.
-
That's why he called me so anointed, because he only wanted
-
me to reciprocate the conversation.
-
So then he starts. I said no, no, no, no, no.
-
Stay with the Bible. Yeah.
-
I said, I said OK. I said all you're doing is
-
you're telling me this, and I'm not going to tell you the person
-
is because they are well known. I said you're telling all you're
-
doing is you're given the interpretation of a man.
-
I want to stay with Scripture. What does the Scripture say?
-
All right, so we we, we conversing now because again,
-
you I was anointed. You love my preaching.
-
I mean, I I thought we were on the same wavelength.
-
I mean, I'm here for us to be edified together.
-
And I kept him there. I said, I said, so basically
-
you're going to take that man's interpretation over what I'm
-
saying, but I'm just looking at scripture and I'm not trying to
-
fill in a bunch of stuff that's not there.
-
He said, man to you, he goes that, he goes, that's all
-
that's, that's false doctrine. And now I'm confused because I
-
was anointed when I came in the room.
-
Now I know I'm right, but. I don't want this guy trying to
-
kill the ministry before I get started.
-
I don't want him running around town doing everything he can to
-
try to destroy this church because I know.
-
So I said hold on, Do you believe that Jesus Christ died
-
on the cross and rose from the grave and that through him and
-
only through him, you can be saved?
-
He said yes. I said so do I, Let's just stay
-
there. And that was it.
-
I left it peaceful because at the end of the day, there's
-
really no reason for me to have this conversation.
-
Pastor, why don't you do more with pastors in the community?
-
Because it's not county commissioners trying to shut me
-
down. And we tend to think we have
-
this duty to make sure believers.
-
Know the word rightly divided like us, to the point that we
-
incite them to violence. If you know that they're not
-
receiving, walk away because it's not your fight.
-
It's not your fight. We have more pertinent things to
-
do and there are other people who are going to be more open to
-
here, and at the end of the day, it's up to them to decide
-
whether they want to come or not at the end of the day.
-
So there's no reason for me to go out and try to pick a fight
-
with the devil. I don't have to.
-
He's already a defeated foe. I've been standing victorious
-
the day I found out who I was in Christ and kept my foot here.
-
And then when people came at words from other realms, I never
-
took it as them. And right now in our political
-
realm, there are a lot of Christians that are being
-
seduced into conservativism because they're equating.
-
If you're a conservative, you must be a Christian.
-
Just because there's some ideals that are the same, they are not
-
the same. There was one particular person
-
I saw that is known as a believer, talks about God and
-
all stuff, but then was talking about a situation is like, if
-
that was there, I would kill them.
-
I and I'm like, what are they saying?
-
You know how many believers are stuck in the podcast box and are
-
infuriated with things going on? Do you think you're more mad
-
about pedophiles than? Jesus do.
-
You think you want justice more than him, But if we're going to
-
win, we can't go after and say these people are going to burn
-
in hell and they OK, Yeah, people that do behavior that's
-
against the Kingdom are going up.
-
Why you got to broadcast? That.
-
In essence, every time you engage in that kind of activity
-
and you let him get up every time.
-
Now that doesn't mean we don't say defend, but if you let God
-
do it, he'll open the doors because I don't have to force my
-
way anywhere. I'm LED everywhere and we are
-
attacking things instead of saying, you know, people are
-
going to do. Stuff the end of the day and.
-
You understand Paul's letters were not to the lost, they were
-
to the church, but they were to the congregations he started.
-
Now ultimately, As for the church, I get that.
-
But again, if someone doesn't want to receive 'cause even Paul
-
said send the letters to Laodicea, but then God says to
-
John, well, the church at Laodicea, they're not listening
-
to the writings of Paul and I have a problem with them bad.
-
Is that what God wanted? No.
-
In fact, when one of the churches he said they got the
-
spirit of Jezebel, I even gave her time to repent, which means
-
they let him, God himself let her stand the church.
-
I can't believe they let people in like.
-
That well, there's a time to repent, but if they don't like
-
with that church, he says. I gave her time to repent, she
-
didn't. So I'm going to deal with it,
-
which means some people could be around and it seemed like, whoa,
-
no problem. But you know, there's been
-
plenty of time of repentance. They didn't do it.
-
We're going to deal with it. And when I deal with it, then,
-
then guess what, I'm dealing with it in the steps of God and
-
the plan of God. Which means then if I say you
-
can't be here anymore. Then I have the full force of
-
the Kingdom with the net, my foot on the neck of of the
-
enemy, and I'm not going to have them come and try to destroy
-
this Ministry. But if it's.
-
Just I'm right and you're wrong. And I'm going to attack you.
-
And I can't believe you did this.
-
And I'm going to let you know that I'm right.
-
Well, then you know what? I open up situations that never
-
needed to be opened up. Because really, it's my pride to
-
want to make sure you know that I know when there's plenty of
-
times that I can say, well, praise the Lord, bless you.
-
So how can you do that? Well, Jesus said bless your
-
enemies. He didn't say kill them all.
-
See. Because again, our battle's not
-
against flesh and blood. There may be someone that
-
they're in sin, they're off they ain't doing right nothing about
-
it. And the Lord's like, they ask
-
for your coat, give them your cloak.
-
They're taking asking you go one, might give them two.
-
You say don't curse your enemy, bless them.
-
I don't understand. How can you support that?
-
I'm just following the Holy Ghost 'cause my foot is on the
-
neck of the devil, and my battle's not against flesh and
-
blood, but against principalities and powers.
-
And if I really want something to function there, then if I
-
function the way God does, then God gets involved.
-
And I would much rather God get involved and vindicate than me,
-
vindicate me. And in these last days, there's
-
going to be a lot of opportunity for us to be mad at faces.
-
If you get around someone and you can't hardly stand it, this
-
is what you're doing. Starting to pick your foot up.
-
You need to say, Lord, forgive me, I bless them.
-
It ain't about what they deserve because I'm going to keep my
-
heart, right? Because you did the fight, you
-
came down and you picked on the devil and you tricked him.
-
Because if he hadn't known what he was doing when he had you
-
killed, he never. He just said don't touch the
-
guy, leave him alone, don't touch him, let him live forever,
-
period. But he didn't.
-
And we have vanquished our enemy.
