Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast
-
from St. Augustine, FL.
-
Now enjoy this message. Pastor has been talking about
-
this is the year of the what the reigning spirit say.
-
I have a reigning spirit. Say it again like you mean it.
-
Maybe one more time. That sounds good.
-
That sounds good. So if you're born again, we know
-
that we have been given a reigning spirit, a spirit that
-
can always win. Come on.
-
A spirit that can always conquer Amen.
-
A spirit that is always in victory, no matter what it seems
-
like. Amen.
-
And so Pastor talked about that last week and I don't have time
-
to go through all of that, but you need to go back and listen
-
to the last few services on the reigning spirit because we are
-
going to have to realize that we.
-
Have. To walk in that reigning spirit,
-
for us to be able to navigate in this life to come, Amen.
-
In everything that's going on in the world, we need to know that
-
we have the victory no matter what's going on.
-
We have the victory because we have the reigning spirit.
-
Amen. Hallelujah.
-
And in Romans Chapter 5, I want to start, I want to talk to this
Romans 5 chapter mention
-
morning about how to maintain a reigning spirit.
-
We've been given a reigning spirit, but how do we maintain
-
that reigning spirit? Every day, every day we come and
-
we encounter circumstances, right?
-
We know that in this life we're going to have what?
-
Trials and tribulations. But what does he say about that?
-
Be of good cheer. Why?
-
Because you have already overcome.
-
Amen. Because you've already overcome.
-
So be of good cheer. So what does that mean?
-
That we can maintain a A rating spirit and be cheerful no matter
-
what we're going on, what's going on around us, what's
-
happening in the world. You know, the sky could be
-
falling and you know what? We could be in a place of
-
victory. We we we're not, you know, we're
-
not oblivious of what's going on, but we're saying we're going
-
to maintain the right spirit in what we do see going on.
-
Because we don't live by what sight.
-
We live by faith. We live by faith.
-
And so again, how? Do we maintain the reigning
-
spirit? Well, I already gave you one
-
point which wasn't in the notes. It just came up by the Holy
-
Ghost as we were worshipping the Lord, right?
-
We're going to have to build ourselves up on our most holy
-
faith. Praying in the spirit.
-
That's one way you can maintain a reigning spirit by making sure
-
that your spirit is remaining strong.
-
Your spirit is strong. Do you have a strong spirit?
-
Do you have a strong spirit? Amen.
-
And one way to do that is by praying in the Holy Spirit.
-
And we are a spirit filled church for some of you that may
-
be new and visiting. We believe in the Acts chapter
-
one. Acts chapter two.
-
We believe in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and that you
-
should receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.
-
And evidence of that would be that you would speak in tongues.
-
Amen. Hallelujah.
-
And so if you need scriptures, you know you can see anybody
-
here that's been here, and they can take you through the
-
Scriptures to show you that what we are doing is actually in the
-
word of God. Amen.
-
And it hasn't been done away with.
-
And it's not fanaticism. Come on.
-
And it's not excitement. No, I pray in the Holy Ghost
-
when nobody's around and everything is quiet.
-
Not just when I'm in a service and getting hyped up like people
-
say. No, we're not here to hype you
-
up, but we are here to fill you up, to fill you up so that you
-
can walk full. Come on.
-
And at the new flow of the Holy Ghost is a flow of fullness.
-
A flow of fullness with a supply that will never run dry.
-
With a supply that will never run dry.
-
Hallelujah. Glory to God.
-
So Romans chapter 5 this is the scripture one of the scriptures
Romans 5 chapter mention
-
that Pastor used and I'm only well I did use two that he
-
brought up. But anyway, Romans chapter 5,
-
verse 17 it says for if by the transgression of one death reign
-
through the one much more those who receive the abundance of
-
grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign.
-
What in life? He expects his children to reign
-
in life. Amen.
-
As a Kingdom citizen we know that we are in a Kingdom and in
-
a Kingdom King's reign. Amen.
-
They reign and he expects. Us.
-
The King of Kings expects us to reign in life.
-
That means we don't have to fall in the traps of everybody else
-
in the world and what we see them doing.
-
Right. And how they're behaving because
-
we can reign over those things. Amen.
-
When you know who you are in Christ, you will be able to
-
reign. Amen.
-
So in First John, he did come out of this scripture in chapter
-
4. And this is where I actually
-
want to base the rest of my sermon from in First John,
1 John 4 chapter mention
-
chapter 4, verses one through 21, so that you can read it in
-
full context, Amen. Yourself as well.
-
If you're taking notes, and you should be taking notes, Amen.
-
He tells us that we are disciples and disciples are
-
students or studiers of the word Amen.
-
So when you go home again, if we're going to reign, we're
-
going to have to actually read the word Amen.
-
We're going to have to read the word for ourselves.
-
Look over our notes, look over these things and study the
-
scriptures out. Amen.
-
As a disciple and a student and a pupil of the word, we're here
-
to equip you and train you how to be disciples and students of
-
the word. So in first John chapter 4
1 John 4 chapter mention
-
verses one through 21 it says this Beloved do not believe
-
every spirit what but test the spirits to see whether they are
-
from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the
-
world and by this you know the spirit of God.
-
Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the
-
flesh is from God. And every spirit that does not
-
confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of Antichrist
-
and of which you have heard that is coming and now it is already
-
in the world. You are from God, little
-
children, and have overcome them.
-
Because what Pastor Red, this greater is he who is in you than
-
he that is in the world. They are from the world,
-
therefore they speak as from the world and the world listens to
-
them. In this, Pastor explained this
-
so wonderfully, right? Because he said out of Timothy
-
that in the last days many are going to what we've been
-
studying this, and this is part of what we're going to be
-
talking about this year, that in the last days, many are what
-
going to fall away from the faith.
-
Because they're listening to what doctrines of demons,
-
deceitful spirits, right, and all of these false things.
-
But he lets us know here the key to maintain a reigning spirit
-
and being able to hear the difference between what's real
-
and what's false. Right here he says this we are
-
from God, and he who knows God listens to us.
-
He who is not from God does not listen to us by this say.
-
By this we know the Spirit of truth and the Spirit of.
-
Error. If we are going to walk and
-
maintain a reigning spirit, we must get proficient and knowing
-
who. The Spirit of truth.
-
Is and the spirit of error is right and he lets us know.
-
The key for us that know God is that we will know the.
-
Spirit of Truth, The Spirit of truth.
-
Say I know the spirit of truth. Hallelujah.
-
Then if you drop down to verse 7, this is the second.
-
The first point is we must know the truth.
-
We must know the truth. The second point is, and
-
hopefully we'll be able to cover both, is that we must know that
-
love is from God and that we're born of Him.
-
It said, beloved, let us love one another, for love is from
-
God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
-
Now we know it says this, let us love one another for love is
-
from God. Say love is from God.
-
Love is not from this world and their opinions of what love is.
-
Love is from God. Love is from God, not what the
-
world is saying Love is. Amen.
-
So his love is a pure love. Amen.
-
His love is what we call agape love, and it's from him.
-
And those who are born of him know this love.
-
And this love is the truth. It is not figuring out your own
-
truth. No, this love is truth.
-
It's not determining your own truth.
-
His love is truth. His love is truth.
-
And if we're going to have a reigning spirit and maintain
-
that spirit and know the difference between the spirit of
-
God, the truth, and the spirit of error, and we've got to be
-
able to recognize it. And if you don't, you're going
-
to see. This is why the Church has even
-
fallen into the. Trap.
-
Isn't it sad? That even the church is starting
-
to believe their own truth other than what God said truth is Come
-
on. So he said, Beloved, let us love
-
one another, for love is from God, and everyone who loves is
-
born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does
-
not know God, for God is love. And by this the love of God was
-
manifested in us, that God sent his only begotten Son into the
-
world so that he that we might live through him.
-
And in this love, not that we love God, but that he loved us
-
and sent his Son to be a perpetuation for our sins.
-
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
-
We can still love people the way God says to love them without
-
accepting their truth. This is not about that, But it's
-
good, right? And then he goes on to say, no
-
one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God
-
abides in US and his love is perfected in US.
-
And by this we know that we abide in Him and he in us,
-
because he has given us of His what spirit He's given us his
-
spirit. And his spirit is a spirit of
-
truth and a spirit of love. And if we are going to not fall
-
into doctrines of demons and deceitful right spirits and all
-
these things, false prophets and all these things that are going
-
to be rampant and are rampant right now in this last day.
-
And you can see it because it's already infiltrated in the
-
church. But that goes to show you how
-
ignorant Christians are of the truth.
-
And it's sad. It's very sad, right?
-
Because they were not able to see the difference between the
-
spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
-
But we have a reigning spirit, and our spirit is the spirit of
-
truth, right? And our spirit is a spirit of
-
love because we know Romans 55 says when you get born again,
-
the Holy Spirit what his love is, what shed abroad in our
-
hearts. So pure love is shed abroad in
-
our hearts. But not only that, we know that
-
Corinthian tells us that when we get born again.
-
And pastors quoted this last Sunday, the Holy Ghost comes and
-
what dwells and takes up his abode on the inside of us.
-
So we have the Spirit of Truth, which is the Holy Ghost, which
-
we're going to show you. And we have the proper, you
-
know, definition of the love of God already in our hearts.
-
So we can't buy the lies which we know.
-
Who is the father of lies? Satan.
-
Amen. So we must be people that want
-
no truth and walk in that truth and not decide we're going to
-
change the truth to fit what we want.
-
And then we must be people that actually know him and his love.
-
That is not perverted because we know that the enemy's number one
-
goal is to come in and pervert and twist everything that God
-
has said and everything that God has done.
-
And he did it from the very beginning.
-
In Genesis. He twisted God's word and
-
manipulated it, right? And he's been doing that every
-
since. And that's how that the church
-
and Christians have even bought the lie because it's been
-
twisted and manipulated and you didn't realize.
-
Or know the truth even though he's in you.
-
You can be born again, but if you don't know the truth, if you
-
don't, study out the. Truth, you can get caught in a a
-
lie, you can get caught up in a lie.
-
And so as believers that's why we say in this church and we
-
challenge everyone with the Bible reading plan.
-
I have known Christians that have set in denominational
-
churches and have been in it for 2025, thirty years and never
-
opened the word of God themselves to read it.
-
I know them. They've admitted it.
-
What does that tell you? That they're illiterate of
-
truth. And This is why many of those
-
denominations now have accepted a new kind of love.
-
OK, so this is how we're going to know.
-
The difference is we have to be two people of truth.
-
We'll tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth,
-
so help us. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. So the love of God, the truth of
-
God are two things that we must understand to maintain the
-
Spirit. Let me finish reading because I
-
didn't finish reading all of those scriptures in John.
-
It says by this we know that we abide in Him and He and us
-
because He has given us of His Spirit.
-
We have seen and testified that the Father has sent the Son to
-
be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is
-
the Son of God, God abides in Him, and he in God we come to
-
know and believe the love which God has for.
-
Us You see that? We will come to know and believe
-
the love of God to us. So just because you get born
-
again does not mean that you actually fully know the love of
-
God. That means we have to grow in
-
the knowledge of His love. We have to grow in the knowledge
-
of His truth so that we have complete understanding of His
-
love and of His truth. Amen, because it doesn't just
-
happen the minute you get born again.
-
Jesus had to grow and discover who He was, he said.
-
When he was reading the What scrolls, he began to what see
-
himself in it, Discover himself. And we know Corinthians tells us
-
that we're to behold the word of God so that we can what?
-
Look in the mirror and see the reflection of who God is and who
-
he wants us to be. So this is a process.
-
Amen. This is a process of truly
-
discovering who we are in Christ and knowing Him.
-
It says we have come to know and believe the love which God has
-
for us. God is love, and the one who
-
abides in love abides in God and God abides in Him.
-
By this love is perfected with us.
-
You see that love is perfected. That means it's maturing.
-
That's what that means. It doesn't mean you're perfect.
-
It means that you're maturing when that love can mature in
-
you. When that love can grow in you.
-
OK, It says this so that we may have confidence in the Day of
-
judgment, because as he is, so also are we in this world.
-
There is No Fear in love. There's No Fear in love, but
-
perfect love cast out fear because fear involves
-
punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
-
I don't have time to teach my love class.
-
So it says we love because he first what loved us.
-
If someone says I love God and hates his brother, what is he?
-
Say it again. God's God will call you a liar
-
straight to your face. Because you're beholding the
-
word, and when I behold it, my face is in it, and he called me
-
a liar. If I don't, you see that you
-
need to start calling things a lie.
-
Because if you don't, you'll start believing it.
-
You'll start believing it. And the reason you'll believe it
-
is because you're not in the truth and you're not receiving
-
the truth. Because you can read the truth
-
and not receive the truth. You can hear the truth and not
-
receive the truth. You can have a deaf ear to what
-
the Spirit really is saying to you and to the churches, because
-
you don't want to hear that. Amen.
-
So he says we love because he first loved us.
-
If someone says I love God and hates his brother, he is a liar.
-
For the one who does not love his brother, whom he has seen,
-
cannot love God whom he has not seen.
-
And this commandment we have from him that the one who loves
-
God should love his brother. He commanded us to love one
-
another. A brother is a brother in the
-
church we're not talking about. We're commanded to love those in
-
the world, though we do because we are of God and we love
-
people. We love humanity.
-
But the number one thing is here is that we are commanded to love
-
the brethren one another in the body.
-
And it's not a suggestion, right.
-
We've said this before, it's not a suggestion.
-
It's not a well, you don't know what they said about me or you
-
don't know what they did to me or you know, blah, blah, blah,
-
blah, blah. No, it's a command.
-
And I think it interesting and we've said this before, it's a
-
command because he knows we are not going to want to do it.
-
So he says I command. You to do it.
-
Amen. I command you to do it.
-
Command is a little bit different.
-
You know when you're talking to your kids and you suggest, well,
-
maybe you want to? This is the new philosophy with
-
parenting, right? Mine were commands at all times.
-
Well, maybe if you feel like it today that you might want to do,
-
you know, go and make up your bed.
-
Or maybe you know if you might have a little bit of time in
-
between all your ball games that you might want to do your
-
homework. They give them all these
-
suggestions instead of get in your room and do your homework
-
instead of get in your room and make up your bed instead of get
-
out there. And take out the trash.
-
Sometimes they need a command, not a suggestion.
-
Most of the time, the first time you suggest it and they know
-
that it's a suggestion, What are they going to say?
-
I don't want to do that when they're little.
-
I don't want to. That's their first response.
-
So then what? I don't care if you don't want
-
to. This is what parents should be
-
saying. I command you to get in your
-
room and you got 3 seconds to do it.
-
Or. There's going to be a punishment
-
unto death? No.
-
But come on, they should be responding.
-
In your first command. Because isn't that how you want
-
them to respond to God? I don't want my kids.
-
Well, they're grown now. I don't want my grandkids.
-
I want them that when they hear what God says that they say,
-
yes, Lord, you're my commander and my chief.
-
Yes, Lord, I'm going to do it so that they don't have to go
-
through and have consequences of disobedience and go through the
-
pain and the suffering, right? Because how many of us said,
-
well, if you just would have done what I, then you wouldn't
-
have had this result. Amen.
-
I don't know how we got on that. Oh, commandment.
-
Yes, commandments. So he commands us to love.
-
So let's look at a couple of things.
-
We have to know Truth, right? Who is Truth?
-
Is the world's opinions. Truth.
-
Come on. Is is Hollywood Truth is a
-
movie. You watch Truth.
-
How about this one? Is social media truth?
-
Give me a break and even. If they try to throw a little
-
truth out, you know you shouldn't believe it.
-
You actually should go and investigate it.
-
Which is what we're supposed to do with the word.
-
Hey man, we're supposed to search the scriptures out, not
-
just believe what we hear. Like a bird with our mouth wide
-
open and and listening to everything.
-
Come on. So he says we're to no truth.
-
If we're going to maintain that reigning spirit and know the
-
difference between his spirit and the spirit of error.
-
Let's go to John chapter 844. It says you are of your father
-
the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father.
-
He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in
-
what truth. There is no truth.
-
In him, whenever he speaks, it is a lie.
-
It's a lie straight from the pit of hell.
-
It's a lie. He is a liar and he is number
-
one goal we heard last week is to come steal, kill and destroy
-
your life. And it starts by you buying a
-
lie. That is the opposite of the
-
truth buying the lie. He speaks from his own nature,
-
for he is a liar and the father of lies, and he knows that he
-
can get Christians off if they are ignorant.
-
My people what perish due to what lack of knowledge or truth
-
of God's word. And he knows if he can keep you
-
out of the truth and start listening to the truths of this
-
world. And by he can get you to hook.
-
Into one little lie, one little bitty, right?
-
It's the little foxes that spoil the if he can get you to hook
-
into one. Philosophy of a thought of the
-
lying systems of this world. He can get you off because it
-
doesn't start out blatant. Remember, he comes as a what?
-
Angel of light. So he can get you twisted and
-
hooked up on one little thought or one little truth of this
-
world or one little opinion. It's the the, you know,
-
philosophies of this world and the imaginations of this world.
-
One and John, he talks about the courses of this world, are
-
swayed, are swayed. What are they swayed by the lies
-
of the enemy. And so you must always back it
-
up with truth. That's why he says in
-
Corinthians that we're to what take every thought captive and
-
what line it up to the truth, to the word of God.
-
We are to line it up with truth. Because I I take every thought
-
captive because you know what? There are some good.
-
Thoughts that come my way. They're not all evil, but is
-
that good thought? A God thought.
-
It sounds good. It makes my flesh feel good and
-
easy. Oh well, that would be easy.
-
Why am I working? Why am I serving the Lord so
-
much when all these other people get to listen to their own truth
-
and decide when they want to serve and when they don't?
-
See that one? If he can get me hooked.
-
On that he can take me down a road that is not in his.
-
Truth. Come on, it's the little things.
-
It's the little things, because he's a liar and he wants to get
-
you off of the truth. Of God's Word, John 1417 That is
-
the Spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive.
-
This is talking of the Holy Spirit because it does not see
-
Him or know him. But you know him because he what
-
abides with you and will be in you the working of the Holy
-
Spirit. That's why he said it was more
-
advantageous for him to go read John 14/16/17.
-
I don't have time to teach on the Holy Spirit, but I have a
-
good over a month worth of teaching on line that you could
-
go and listen to on the Holy Spirit will help you become
-
familiar with Him and know Him as a.
-
Person. Not as a thing.
-
We'll help you know him as who he is instead of how you feel.
-
Oh, I don't feel the Holy Ghost. Well, you don't have to feel him
-
because he's in you, right? So he is the Spirit of what
-
truth and he where he lives what in us?
-
He said it's more advantageous for me to go.
-
Jesus said so that he, the Spirit of truth, may come wise,
-
so that he can live in you, the Spirit of truth, so that you no
-
longer have to listen to the lies of the enemy, and so that
-
you can discern between the Spirit of truth and the Spirit
-
of error. And in these last days we must
-
get into the truth of God's word first.
-
John 519 through 20 It says we know that we are of God and that
-
the whole world. This was the scripture I was
-
quoting earlier. The whole world lies in the
-
power of the evil 1 The whole world.
-
Lies in the power of the evil 1. All this world's systems, these
-
world's philosophies, these world's teachings, they all are
-
rooted from the Father of. Lies.
-
Amen. And so we have to be wise and
-
know that I'm not going to listen.
-
To this person, just because they're a psychologist and I'm
-
not going to listen to this person on social media because
-
they have a certificate that was emailed into them and call
-
themselves prophetess or and call themselves this or that.
-
You ought to know the truth better than that as a believer.
-
And I'm not going to listen to you know this person about you
-
know, self help and self-care when they're not even a believer
-
because they have their own truth.
-
We're not saying that everything, but listen to what
-
the Holy Spirit is saying above everything.
-
Else. Above everything else, that's
-
what I weigh my decisions upon my thinking upon.
-
Well, what does the word? Really say about that before I
-
just take it hook line and what sinker sinker?
-
Because that is a sinker. It's a stinker and it's going to
-
sink you and your walk. With the Lord.
-
Amen. Hallelujah.
-
This is the truth. Say.
-
It's the truth. Say it's the truth.
-
Say I want to receive the truth. Hallelujah.
-
You want to have ears to hear the truth, no matter how hard it
-
may sound. I want to know the truth.
-
And you know, one of the worst things I hate is when people lie
-
to me. That's what I hated.
-
With my children lied to me. They, you know, just don't.
-
Just don't lie to me because your father is not the devil.
-
You can do some crazy things, but don't you lie to me.
-
You should hate lying that bad. Don't you lie to me and you
-
going to get double If you lie, you think you going to get some
-
whooping. You lie to me and see what's
-
coming double for your. Trouble.
-
Don't lie to me. Don't lie because we don't want
-
anything to do with lying. A lying spirit because it comes
-
from the devil, the father of lies.
-
And as a believer, you ought to hold to your word, and you
-
ought. To not be lying to people, Lying
-
to people and you going to lie to yourself.
-
And that's how you become deceived because you lie to
-
yourself. OK, so where were we at?
-
What scripture were we on? Did anybody take a note?
-
Did I finish it? No.
-
Verse 20. And we know that the Son of God
-
has come and has given us understanding so that we may
-
know him who is what. True.
-
Aren't you thankful? That you are not bound by Satan
-
anymore, and that you don't live according to the courses of his
-
directions. That you actually heard the
-
truth. You came to the truth, and you
-
should continually embrace the truth and be thankful for the
-
truth. Oh, I'm so thankful for the
-
truth of God's word. Where would we be if God had not
-
arrested us with His truth? Think about your life and where
-
you would be if God had not put the Spirit of Truth on the
-
inside of you. You would still be buying those
-
old stinking lies that you were unworthy, that everybody hates
-
you, that you were rejected, that you're a victim of your
-
reality. Come on, That no man wants you.
-
Hallelujah. And that every man abuses you.
-
And come on, all the lies that he told us before we actually
-
knew the. Truth about who we really are.
-
Hallelujah. And that he has a purpose and a
-
plan for our life. And that we weren't just a
-
mistake. Come on.
-
Come on. And that you don't have a daddy
-
in your life, so you ain't going to be no good to nobody else.
-
Come on. All the lies that the enemy told
-
us, we. Bought them all.
-
We bought them all, but thank God.
-
For the truth of God's word that we know the truth it says and.
-
We are in him who is true in his Son Jesus Christ.
-
This is the true God and eternal life.
-
What did Jesus say about himself in John 1416?
-
It said, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the
-
life. No one comes to the Father
-
except through me. Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God. Now let me just keep reading
-
these because they're good. You just need to hear it, John
-
1837. Therefore Pilate said to him, So
-
you are a king. That's right, we serve a king.
-
And Jesus answered and said, you say correctly that I am king and
-
for this reason I have been born and for this I have come into
-
the world. What did he come into this world
-
for? To testify to truth, to say here
-
I am, the father said he was going to send me come on to
-
redeem the world, and I'm here as a testimony and to testify to
-
the truth of God's word that he is true and every man is a liar.
-
Hallelujah. He came to testify the truth to
-
let you say, to let the devil know.
-
No longer do the people have to buy your life.
-
Because I am truth. I am truth.
-
I'm. Truth Hallelujah.
-
He came to testify of truth and listen what he said.
-
Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.
-
You want to not stop listening to truth because you're locking
-
up his voice in your life and some.
-
Of you have. Listened to lies.
-
And you're wondering why you're having a hard time hearing him.
-
Because you've locked up listening to truth.
-
You've locked him up. You're not listening.
-
You're not hearing him. Come on.
-
I don't ever want to be in a place where I can't hear his
-
voice. And hear his truth.
-
But if you quit listening to truth?
-
You won't hear him. You won't hear him.
-
I don't care that he lives in you.
-
You've closed your ears off to him, and your heart has locked
-
up to him because you don't want to receive the truth any longer.
-
Hallelujah. John 424 says God is spirit and
-
those who worship him will worship him.
-
In what spirit and truth? Because you can't have the
-
Spirit of God without the truth of God.
-
You can't have the Spirit of God without the truth of God.
-
They are inseparable, inseparable, and they work hand
-
in hand. Amen.
-
Now John 1526 says this when the helper comes, said, I have a
-
helper whom I will send to you from the Father.
-
That is the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father.
-
He will what testify of me? You see that we have the Father
-
who is truth. We have the Son who is truth and
-
testifies the truth, and then we have the Holy Spirit come on,
-
That is truth. And all three, all three are
-
going to be in agreement. All three are going to be in
-
agreement that I am. Truth.
-
This is truth. This is the word.
-
I don't care what you're hearing.
-
I don't care what that person said.
-
This is truth. Because the Father said it, the
-
Son testified of it, and the Spirit of God is the Spirit of
-
truth. Hallelujah.
-
So we have them all. Three, glory to God to maintain
-
a reigning spirit. Now look at this in First
1 Timothy 3 chapter mention
-
Timothy chapter 3 and verse 15 says this.
-
But in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how
-
one ought to conduct himself in the House of God, the household
-
of God. Do you know this is a house?
-
We're a family. Come on, we're family.
-
We're part of one another. We're one with one another.
-
And he lets us know how we ought to act in the household of God.
-
And he says this which is what The Church of the living God the
-
pillar and what support. Of that was the Church's
-
assignment to be a pillar of truth in this world that is full
-
of lies. And to be what?
-
One that would support truth. And what has the Church done?
-
Not been a pillar of truth, backed off of being of support
-
of what God's word really said because they want to please man.
-
And that was the church's goal, not to win the lost.
-
The Church's number one assignment is to uphold truth in
-
a world full of lies, and the church has failed tremendously.
-
Of in whole, in a whole, not this Church.
-
A pillar and a support of truth. That means my responsibility as
-
pastors and those that are equipping the Saints is to
-
always speak the truth to you, even when you don't want to hear
-
it. Because I am responsible.
-
You are responsible as the Church to uphold truth at all
-
cost, at all cost, no matter how bad it hurts your little
-
feelings. In a counseling session, I can
-
only speak the truth in. Love.
-
But that truth we know, will What set you free if you receive
-
it. If you don't, it's on you.
-
It's on you. But we are to uphold and be a
-
pillar. A pillar is something that's
-
strong, just like this pole here, you know, this lovely pole
-
that we've had for now, what how many years we've been in this
-
facility, maybe what, 15 years in this theater.
-
And believe me, we wanted to take this big pillar.
-
Out. But it was going to cost a.
-
Lot of money to take one little pillar out to reinforce it, but
-
what it's. Upholding this, this roof, it's
-
upholding it. It's strong.
-
I mean, it's not going anywhere, right?
-
Come try to bounce up against it.
-
It's not like you going to knock it over.
-
No, it's there. It's a support.
-
It's upholding. Come on.
-
And that's what that we are to do as the Church of the living
-
God. We are supposed to be a pillar
-
of truth in a world that is full of lies.
-
And when people come to us and say, well, you know, I really
-
want to be in this relationship, but they're a female.
-
I'm sorry, the truth of God's word is that he loves you, but
-
that will not be acceptable in his Kingdom.
-
And you know what? He can take that away from you
-
if you just yield. We're upholding the truth of
-
God's word when somebody comes and says, you know, I, I I want
-
to be with this other woman and I'm married.
-
Oh, well, truth of God's word is not to be committing adultery.
-
Come on. So when you have to make those
-
hard calls, you know, people don't like to hear it all the
-
time and they have talked bad about.
-
You, you know, slander You. Why?
-
Because all you're trying to do is uphold truth so that they
-
won't buy the lie and be in a place of destruction in their
-
life. Because we all know that it
-
leads to destruction. Amen.
-
So the church was to be the pillar and the support of God's
-
word, God's truth, no matter what is relevant.
-
For today, no matter what, we're going to uphold truth.
-
Amen. So look what he says about this
-
truth. Listened.
-
He says this in John 1613, but when he, the spirit of truth
-
comes, what's he going to do? He's going to guide you into all
-
truth. For he won't speak on his own
-
initiative, or what is that his own opinion or what he thinks
-
about the situation? No.
-
He's going to guide you into all truth and but whatever he hears,
-
he will speak and then he will disclose it to you.
-
What is to come? Aren't you thankful that the
-
spirit of Truth lives on the inside of you so that he can
-
begin to lead you and guide you into what?
-
All truth, the whole truth, Nothing but the truth, so help
-
us. We want the truth of God's Word.
-
Look what happens when you receive the truth of God's Word
-
in John 1717 through 19 Sanctify them in Thy truth.
-
Your Word is truth for their sakes.
-
I sanctified myself that they themselves also may be
-
sanctified. In what?
-
Truth sanctification comes to your life by actually being in
-
the word of God and the truth of God's Word.
-
And not only that, what receiving it you've there's
-
there's multiple ways for you to say that.
-
I'm a doer of the word. You've got to hear it.
-
You've got to receive it. You've got to believe it, Come
-
on. And then you've got to do it.
-
That's when it's actually a part of your life.
-
That's when truth is revealed. And a part of your life is when
-
you're actually walking in it, because you can hear it all day
-
long. And there's people in this room
-
right now. I heard by the Spirit saying I
-
disagree with that. Well, I don't care that you
-
disagree with it. The Word of God says it.
-
So you can. Do whatever you want with your
-
disagreement. Just know you're listening to a
-
lie and you are listening to the Father of lies.
-
Amen. So he says this.
-
The Word will sanctify us. John 11 In the beginning was the
-
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God and the
-
Word. What made flesh and dwelt among
-
us and we? Beheld his glory, the glory of
-
his only begotten of the Father. Full of what?
-
Grace and truth? So he didn't just save you by
-
his wonderful, Amazing Grace. Come on.
-
He wants you to operate in truth as.
-
Well, and truth has to be received Hallelujah and acted
-
upon for you to actually do it. John 831 through 32 So Jesus was
-
saying to the Jews who had believed in him.
-
If you continue in my word, then you are truly disciples of Me,
-
and what happens you will know. The truth and the truth will set
-
you free, make you free, one translation says.
-
And Marcy's translation says, We'll keep you free, we'll keep
-
you free. It will set you free.
-
Come on, it will make you free. And it will keep you free.
-
If you remain in His word, if you allow His word to take first
-
place. Dominance in your heart, above
-
everybody else, above everybody else's opinion, above your
-
husband's opinion, Above your spouse's opinion.
-
Come on. Above your parents opinions of
-
what the word says. No, I want to hear the spirit of
-
truth. I hear what you saying.
-
But what's the spirit saying? Because it's the spirit of
-
truth. And many of women been taken out
-
of the church because they listen to the husband's doctrine
-
and vice versa. Instead of what did the Spirit
-
of truth and the word of truth say?
-
Come on, do you know him? Do you know him?
-
Yeah, all the time. It's happening.
-
And the number one reason is because we don't know the Spirit
-
of truth because we are not abiding in His truth, in His
-
word. His word is truth.
-
John 15-7 If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall
-
ask whatever you will and it shall be done for you.
-
So we must be people, students of the truth of God's Word.
-
We must continue to be people that put ourselves in a position
-
that we are studiers of the Word.
-
We're reading the Word. What did he say the Word would
-
be to our lives. Life, he said.
-
It was daily bread, Daily bread. It's our life source and if
-
we're not in the word and in Our Daily Bread, receiving the
-
truth. Then we are easily going to be
-
swayed in these last days, he said.
-
Many will fall away from the faith.
-
Many will be seduced, deceived by doctrines of demons.
-
Many. And we have to say we are going
-
to position ourselves to be in the word and be in truth, so
-
that we don't ever buy a lie of the enemy to get us off.
-
Amen. Hallelujah.
-
Because we want to be people of the word, students of the word,
-
hiding the word. Psalms 119.
-
Hiding the word in our hearts so that we won't sin against him.
-
Do you know when you deny truth, you sin against him.
-
So we want to hide the word of God in our hearts so that we
-
don't sin against him, so that we don't listen to a lie that is
-
not his truth. That's somebody else's truth.
-
Come on. We don't want to buy the lie.
-
We want to be those that know the word of God for ourselves.
-
Colossians 316 It says Let the word of Christ dwell in you
-
richly, richly. That's what you need to position
-
yourself to do this year. To say.
-
I'm going to put the word of God in me so that it dwells in me
-
richly what it just like I'm full of the Holy Spirit.
-
I build myself up praying in the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit of
-
Truth is speaking to me. But the Spirit of Truth cannot
-
remind you or reveal to you anything if you don't have the
-
word richly dwelling within you. The Word of God, Steve, you've
-
been a student of the Word for 32 years.
-
You ought to be full of the word that anytime a situation
-
happens, No, the Word says this. I don't even have to think about
-
that because that's so foolish. It's a lie because I have the
-
Word. And what is the word?
-
Many scriptures that can come up on the inside of me as the Holy
-
Spirit is what? Speaking to me, reminding me of
-
the word of the. Truth.
-
That's been put in my heart because I've hid it in there.
-
If you don't have anything hiding in there, then you're
-
going to believe every lie, you're going to believe it, and
-
then you're going to. What in the world have I been
-
doing if you ever come to? Come on, just that easy.
-
So Proverbs 4 says this and 20 my son, Attend to my words.
-
Incline thy ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your
-
eyes and keep them where? In the midst of your heart.
-
Keep them in the midst of your heart so that truth can always
-
speak to you. Truth can always cause the word
-
to come up when a lie or a word from the enemy is there.
-
No, the truth is popping up because the Holy Ghost is truth
-
and he's reminded me of the truth that's in the word of God.
-
Amen. It's not just about feeling
-
goosebumps with the Holy Ghost. I'd much rather than have the
-
Spirit of truth living on the inside of me and feel nothing.
-
And feel nothing. But thank God.
-
We can sometimes feel the presence of God and that
-
tangible presence. That's awesome.
-
But I'd much rather have the Spirit of truth living on the
-
inside of me, and the word of God richly dwelling on the
-
inside of me. Come on, then.
-
Feeling a thing. I don't care if I don't run
-
around this building one more time, or if I don't shout one
-
more time. As long as I have the spirit of
-
Truth and the word of God richly dwelling on the inside of me, I
-
can be assured I will have a reigning spirit.
-
A reigning spirit. Hallelujah.
-
But guess. But guess what?
-
We can. Experience him and feel him.
-
But it's not all about that. And I when I.
-
See people, that's all about that.
-
They're wacky, they're kooky, and they listen to deceiving
-
spirits and they get off. I'm telling you, I have seen it
-
now. For 32 years when they don't
-
have. The.
-
Word of God. To keep them balanced by the
-
spirit of truth, because that's what the Word will do.
-
The Word will pull you in and say, come on now, keep you
-
straight. All right, we're not going to
-
get to my love. My second point, but I want to
-
read this last scripture before we close.
-
Pastor did let me know that he's assigning me some Wednesday
-
nights in February, so maybe we'll finish this out second
-
Thessalonians 2/1 through. 12 Hallelujah, 2nd Thessalonians. 2
-
One through 12 says this now, brethren, concerning the coming
-
of the Lord Jesus Christ, and are gathering together in him,
-
We ask you not to soon shaken in your minds, or troubled either
-
by spirit, or by word, or by letter, as if from some of us,
-
as though the day of Christ had come.
-
Let no one deceive you by any means, for that day will not
-
come unless the falling away comes first.
-
This is Speaking of what Pastor was saying about the falling
-
away in Timothy, that many are going to fall away from the
-
faith. So this is what he's saying,
-
that great falling away will come first.
-
And the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, right?
-
Which is the Antichrist who opposes and exalts himself above
-
all, above all that is called God or that is worship, so that
-
he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is
-
God. Do you not remember that when I
-
was still with you I told you these things, and now you know
-
what is restraining that he may only is restraining that he may
-
be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness
-
is already at work. Only he who now restrains will
-
do so, until he was taken out of the way.
-
And then the Lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will
-
consume with the breath of his mouth, and destroy with the
-
brightness of his coming. The coming of the Lawless One is
-
according to the working of who with all power signs, and what
-
lying wonders, and with all unrighteousness and deception.
-
Among those who perish, what happened because they did not
-
receive the love of the truth that they might be, And for this
-
reason God will send them strong delusion that they should
-
believe the what, that they all. May be condemned who did not
-
believe the truth, but had pleasure in what?
-
Hallelujah. Say thank you for the truth.
-
Aren't you thankful that you're sitting in a body that's
-
speaking the truth? Aren't you thankful that you are
-
receiving God's word and? Truth.
-
So that you're not one of them that's going to be condemned
-
because they did not love the truth, nor what believe the
-
truth means They didn't want to hear it.
-
They didn't want to hear the truth.
-
They were stubborn, stiff, necked against God, Hate God.
-
Come on. And there's people like that
-
right now in our world that hate God and hate when you even
-
mention Jesus Christ his name. They don't want to hear the
-
truth. And they're going to be
-
condemned for it. But we need to recognize that if
-
we're going to have a reigning spirit and be able to walk in
-
the rest of the time that we have still left on the earth,
-
then we are going to have to be people that love the truth.
-
Of God's Word. We are going to have to be
-
people that say yes, Lord, speak the truth to me, even if it
-
hurts. Speak the truth to me, even if I
-
have to radically change my whole life, my whole purpose, my
-
whole destiny. Because my truth is this is what
-
I wanted to do with my life. But I'm hearing you say, but
-
this is what you want me to do. And that means.
-
I would have to radically. So what are we going to do?
-
Are we going to deny truth and not do what it is we know the
-
truth of God's word is saying and be one of those no that
-
reject truth? No.
-
We want to always be a person that hears truth, receives
-
truth, understands truth, studies his truth and answers to
-
truth. Answers to truth.
-
What does that mean? Whatever he says, the truth is
-
my answer. It's my answer to people in the
-
world. It's my answer to you and the
-
body. It's my answer to me.
-
What is his truth to me? Hallelujah individually.
-
And so now is the time that if we're going to walk and maintain
-
this reigning spirit, we've got to be those that love.
-
Truth I was reminded of. Remember when they were stoning
-
Stephen? Anybody remember reading that
-
they were stoning Stephen and all he kept speaking forth was
-
what? The truth of God's word and what
-
happened? They wrenched their ears and
-
cover. They covered their ears and and
-
and gnawed at themselves because they just hated to hear truth.
-
Isn't that what it says? And we and he saw Jesus standing
-
up and looking over because you know what?
-
He was being a support and pillar of truth in the midst of
-
being stoned and killed for what he believed, for speaking the
-
truth. And they didn't want to hear it
-
one bit. But guess what?
-
It's the truth nonetheless. It's the truth nonetheless.
-
And we are living in a day and in an hour that we must be
-
people of truth, no matter what the cost, no matter what we're
-
facing, no matter what we're standing before we are going to
-
release truth into people's lives.
-
Because. You know what?
-
It's literally. The only thing that can set
-
people free. It's.
-
Literally the only thing that can set people free is the truth
-
of God's word. All the programs, there's tons
-
of programs to help people and their addictions, all kinds of
-
stuff in this. World psychologists have to
-
offer all these things, but it's the one thing that they need,
-
and that is truth, because it is the only thing that's going to
-
set them free from themselves. From themselves, Hallelujah.
