  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. So I'm going to ask some

  4. questions probably 100 times as we get into this.

  5. OK. I'm going to ask some questions

  6. a whole bunch. How have you been living the

  7. last few months? What have you been saying the

  8. last few months? Have you been reigning or have

  9. you been blaming? And so tonight I want to talk

  10. about the blaming spirit. So if you will turn over to

  11. Philippians Chapter 2, verse 14, that's where we're going to

    Philippians 2:14

  12. start tonight. Philippians chapter 2, verse 14

    Philippians 2:14

  13. and it says here do all things without grumbling or disputing.

  14. The New Living Translation says complaining or arguing, do all

  15. things without complaining or arguing.

  16. Pastor Marcus stole my line. We could stop right here and I

  17. could probably talk for an hour about this.

  18. Do all things without grumbling or complaining.

  19. Do all things without without grumbling or complaining without

  20. disputing, without arguing. That means when Pastor Earl asks

  21. you to do something or when Pastor Earl says gets up here

  22. and he's cast a vision for the year and he says we're going to

  23. do a Christmas float in the Christmas parade again, We need

  24. to rally around that and we need to be excited for that Christmas

  25. float because you know what? Some people could see that

  26. Christmas float and be like, hey, wait a second, what in the

  27. world are they doing? Come to Anchor Faith Church and

  28. they receive the Kingdom message in their life would be forever

  29. changed. What Pastor Earl does not need

  30. from us is, ah, man, we've done Christmas parades before.

  31. I I think that's a waste of time.

  32. No. Do all things without grumbling

  33. or complaining. Do all things without grumbling

  34. or complaining. You know, I've had these

  35. thoughts plenty of times. Pastor Marcus he.

  36. He's our worship pastor. You guys know him.

  37. He asks me every once in a while to play keyboard, and there are

  38. prevailing thoughts that will hit my brain as he requests that

  39. on planning center or we'll be having a conversation in the

  40. office and there will be thoughts and you know it.

  41. It hasn't happened a whole lot recently, thank God.

  42. But I'll have thoughts of like I'm going to be stuck behind a

  43. keyboard. All worship.

  44. I can't move. Around over there, I can't move

  45. around behind the keyboard. I'm just like.

  46. My hands out. What am I supposed to do?

  47. I want to have a guitar in my hand.

  48. I I don't want to be tied to something.

  49. I want to be able to move around the head bang, 'cause I'm

  50. passionate when it comes to worship.

  51. I want to get into it or I'll have thoughts of inadequacy that

  52. might come up. And I'm thinking, man, I'm not

  53. as good as Tabitha. Tabitha's amazing.

  54. What if the Holy Spirit's like, hey, we need to go to this old

  55. hymn and Tabitha has this amazing anointing and gifting to

  56. just pull this song out of nowhere?

  57. And she plays it perfectly every time.

  58. And you know, it's funny because every time that I'm playing

  59. keyboard, the Holy Spirit doesn't move that way.

  60. Because the Holy Spirit knows, hey, Todd.

  61. You don't know the courts to this old hymn that was written

  62. in the 1800s. And that's OK because I'm not

  63. going to move that way today. But it is a waste of my time.

  64. It's a waste of Pastor Marcus's time.

  65. It is a waste of the worship team's time for me to try to

  66. fire back and argue I can't be on the keyboard.

  67. Come on, let me move. Let me display my passion as an

  68. example. Let me display my passion.

  69. But you know what? We have depth.

  70. We have flexibility as a team. Come on, say that.

  71. Say I am flexible in Jesus. Name I am.

  72. Flexible in Jesus name, but we are supposed to do all things.

  73. Without grumbling or complaining, I decided to look

  74. up that word in the Greek all just for fun.

  75. I usually teach in our Kingdom Institute, so I I'm looking up

  76. Greek words all the time. The Greek word for all is the

  77. word pass. I'm probably not saying that

  78. right. I don't know.

  79. Reverend Randy can correct me later.

  80. But the Greek word there is pass.

  81. And guess what it means? Bingo.

  82. You guys are so sharp. It also means any or each, every

  83. the whole, collectively. It doesn't matter what it is,

  84. Paul saying. It doesn't matter what it is.

  85. It doesn't matter what it is. Do all things without grumbling

  86. or complaining. Do all things without arguing,

  87. without disputing. Because we're sons of God,

  88. according to Romans 517, and we're supposed to be reigning in

  89. life, right? Well, when we decide to complain

  90. and we decide to grumble, we decide to blame stuff.

  91. We're not raining. That's not what raining looks

  92. like. And man, I've been there.

  93. There was a period of time that we were working 12 hour shifts,

  94. six days a week. There was a month that we

  95. literally are staff. We were working 6:00 AM to 6:00

  96. PM Monday to Saturday for a little bit.

  97. Pastoral had gave us, had prefaced us.

  98. He had said, hey guys, we're going to have a crazy season for

  99. the next 30 days that we worked Monday through Saturday, 6:00 AM

  100. to 6:00 PM. But you know what we did as a

  101. staff? We said yes, Sir, because the

  102. vision is bigger than our own comfort, our own time.

  103. It's no big deal because you guys have heard this.

  104. Chase has been up here talking about the testimony that with

  105. Scotty was just born and he's. And he had the confession.

  106. He said, you know what, No. Even though we're gonna be

  107. working more hours, Lord, I pray that the time that I would have

  108. with with this brand new daughter wouldn't multiply.

  109. And he's testified that that bond that he has with Scotty,

  110. it's like nothing. Else from his other kids, 'cause

  111. the Lord was able to work because we were all, we all

  112. decided, you know what? It's not my own comfort.

  113. I'm not gonna complain. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna

  114. argue about this 'cause it's not like when Pastor Earl came to us

  115. telling us about. This.

  116. That he was like, way crazy excited that we were gonna be

  117. doing this. But you know what we did?

  118. We we picked up that burden, we picked up that mantle and we ran

  119. with. It, you know, and we, we all

  120. learned a whole bunch of crazy things.

  121. We all learned a whole bunch of goofy stuff.

  122. But I get it. I've been there.

  123. I'm having a, you know, 12 hour shift, a 13 hour shift.

  124. You know what, man? You show up.

  125. You've just worked 14 straight hours.

  126. You've been building walls and putting sheetrock on stuff.

  127. You've been running reports of every which way.

  128. You've been purchasing all kinds of stuff to make the company run

  129. around. You get home and you're

  130. thinking, I'm going to eat some dinner.

  131. I'm going to take a shower and I'm going to just chill.

  132. But you walk in your wife who's staying at home.

  133. Mom, you've got two kids under 2.

  134. She's got dinner all prepared on the table.

  135. You're so excited. You're playing with the kids,

  136. you're eating, and while you're eating your wife looks at you

  137. and she says, I'm so sorry, but I couldn't get the kids to nap

  138. at the same time. So I wasn't able to nap.

  139. And you know that last night because of the feeding schedule

  140. and the crying schedule, because let's be real with with kids

  141. under 2, sometimes you have a crying schedule in the middle of

  142. the night. I wasn't able to sleep at all,

  143. so I already gave the kids a bath.

  144. Can you just put into bed and do the dishes and clean up the

  145. kitchen and stuff so I can go to bed early?

  146. And you know what? In those situations, if you as a

  147. man, you're looking at your wife and you're thinking, woman, I

  148. have just worked 13 hours. I have just slaved for our

  149. family. I'm going to eat, I'm going to

  150. shower and I'm going to just kick my feet up.

  151. I'm going to play Xbox. I'm going to watch Netflix.

  152. That is the most selfish. Awful.

  153. Thing and if I ever hear about somebody that has gone through

  154. 318 doing something like that. Oh man, I'm gonna take your

  155. sword and somehow I'm gonna break that thing in half.

  156. I'm. Gonna break it in half because

  157. we're supposed to do all things it says here.

  158. This was not some suggestion. Come on.

  159. It says do all things. That means if it's the dishes at

  160. night. If it's some.

  161. Brand new project Pastor Rose asked us to rally around doing

  162. Dining with Dignity or Rick's family Christmas or West

  163. Augustine. All these outreaches, whether

  164. you get scheduled to Nautilus again for the third week in a

  165. row because those kids need examples.

  166. Whether you're waking up early for the gym or you're working on

  167. Kingdom Institute essays, you need to do all of it.

  168. Without complaining or arguing that, the New Living Translation

  169. says. And you know what, guys?

  170. Look, I'm not saying we all need to be a bunch of yes men, but

  171. you know what we need to be? We need to be people passionate

  172. about the vision. That Pastor Earl has given to

  173. that he's he's given to us that God has given him for this

  174. house, 'cause it's not just what he wants to do, 'cause there's

  175. been plenty of stuff that we've done that he's like, I never

  176. wanted to do this, but here we are, 20 years later, doing more

  177. than we ever thought we would do.

  178. Let's continue on Philippians Chapter 2, verse 15.

    Philippians 2:15

  179. Why are we supposed to be doing this without complaining or

  180. grumbling? It says right here, so that you

  181. will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent children

  182. of God above reproach, in the midst of a crooked and perverse

  183. generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

  184. holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of

  185. Christ I will have reason to glory, because I did not run in

  186. vain, nor toil in vain. The message says it this way,

  187. starting in verse 14. No bickering or second guessing.

  188. No second guessing. Oh allowed.

  189. I love that. No second guessing allowed.

  190. Go out into this corrupted world.

  191. A breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society

  192. provide people with a glimpse of good living and of the living

  193. God. The word squalid there means

  194. filthy or degraded because of neglect or a lack of money.

  195. We know what this looks like. You all have probably seen those

  196. nasty gross videos on Instagram, on Facebook, TikTok.

  197. I'm not on TikTok, but I'm sure they're on there of those crazy

  198. nice people that show up and clean an entire hoarders house

  199. for free. And you see the videos where

  200. there's trash and garbage and waste just piled up over the

  201. windows and there's no daylight in the house and they have to

  202. Burrow through garbage to get anywhere in their house.

  203. You've all seen the videos. I know you have.

  204. Don't be shaking your heads at me like I'm crazy up here

  205. talking about this. But we see those videos and you,

  206. you can just smell it through your screen.

  207. You can smell it through your screen.

  208. I've smelled stuff like that before because I've been to

  209. slums in Haiti. I've been to slums in in India.

  210. But this is that picture that Paul's trying to paint here,

  211. that we're supposed to do all things without complaining, that

  212. we're not putting blame on something.

  213. We're not arguing because we're to be a breath of fresh air out

  214. in the midst of this filth that is beyond these four walls,

  215. because it's no surprise to walk downtown and you start to hear

  216. some conversations. I mean, it's nasty.

  217. The things that people talk about, the things that prevails

  218. all over social media, It's nasty.

  219. It's awful, the propaganda that is just all over our television

  220. screens. I don't care what channel you're

  221. watching, so much of it is just propaganda.

  222. We are to be a breath of fresh air in the midst of all of this.

  223. A breath of fresh mountain air, if you will.

  224. When we aren't complaining about this life that God is trying so

  225. desperately for us to see is an absolute blessing, there's

  226. opportunities of purpose abounding.

  227. When we aren't complaining about this life, we become a breath of

  228. fresh air in the midst. Of a slum.

  229. You know, I love going to the beach with my family.

  230. My wife, she loves going to the beach.

  231. That's like her happy place. You know, it's funny.

  232. We don't get to go to the beach nearly as often anymore, as you

  233. know, we always did when we didn't have kids.

  234. It's funny how that happens, but we always have a good time every

  235. time we go to the beach. But one thing I really love is

  236. during those certain months of the year that 'cause we like to

  237. go down to Saint Augustine Beach, everything that's, you

  238. know, they're down A1A. Because as you walk up the

  239. boardwalks or there's dunes and stuff, they have all those dunes

  240. and you can't quite see the ocean yet.

  241. But it's like once you get to the top of it, you all of a

  242. sudden just get hit with a breeze.

  243. And if it's the right time of year, it's like the best salt

  244. smelling, ocean smelling, sand smelling and it just hits you

  245. and you're like, Oh yeah, it's beach time and it's just a

  246. wonderful aroma. But the problem is, certain

  247. months out of the year when seaweed gets washed up and it

  248. just sits there and sits there for days and weeks and it starts

  249. to rot. You get up to that dune and all

  250. of a sudden you just get hit in the face with just this putrid,

  251. awful rotting smell. And guess what?

  252. That's what the world is like. And we are meant to be that

  253. fresh, clean ocean air, that we're not supposed to do things

  254. without complaining or arguing. So after you've worked that 1516

  255. hour shift that you would serve your spouse, that you would let

  256. God shape you in those times of you just wanting to do what your

  257. flesh wants to do. But we're called to reign.

  258. That we're called to reign over our thoughts of selfishness.

  259. Because when we reign over those thoughts of selfishness, our

  260. spouse is going to see that, and we're they're going to see the

  261. light in the darkness. They're going to see living

  262. proof of God. They're going to see that

  263. glimpse of godly living. Your kids are going to see that

  264. in you. Your friends will recognize it

  265. in you, your fellow employees, wherever you work, because we

  266. just need to have. Like a supernatural tenacity and

  267. work ethic. When it comes to this, whether

  268. we're serving here at Anchor Faith Church or we're at our

  269. workplace because we've talked about it before, you know,

  270. obviously we're not. You know, if you work a secular

  271. job, which I'm every single one of you, I'm sure does, besides

  272. those that are employed here by Anchor Faith Church or Treasure

  273. Harbor Preschool or Washington Classical Christian School or

  274. Dexios or King's Development. Group who?

  275. That list gets along because the vision's big and it needs every

  276. single one of us. But when?

  277. You're working. You're obviously, you know, not

  278. there to be an evangelist 24/7. What you're called to be is an

  279. example that you would honor your employer.

  280. That you would honor your boss. That you would honor your fellow

  281. employees. That through you doing things,

  282. that is asked of you, that is commanded of you, that is

  283. required of you. That you wouldn't bicker, You

  284. wouldn't complain. You wouldn't be talking about

  285. the boss behind his back. That you would say?

  286. Yes, Sir. I'm going to do that right away.

  287. Yes Sir. I'm going to do that as soon as

  288. I have accomplished these other two things.

  289. Cause hey guys, guess what? I get it.

  290. I have 156 to Do's right now on our project management software.

  291. I have 156 things list items. And you know what?

  292. They're not all just one singular thing, 'cause, you

  293. know, making a slide for an event that could take an hour or

  294. that could take. 40 hours. But that also doesn't equate to

  295. the same thing as making a booklet for something like our

  296. Building the Believer class, which you should absolutely be

  297. attending with Reverend Rainey on Sunday mornings.

  298. That. 60 page booklet is a lot more involved, but you know

  299. what? That 156 To Do List doesn't stop

  300. from happening either. Chase, who is our creative

  301. director because I work for the creative team, I don't think I

  302. said that earlier. That doesn't stop.

  303. Chase, who's our creative director, coming to me and

  304. saying, hey man, we really need to do this additional thing real

  305. quick, can you fit that in some way?

  306. Or Pastor Earl coming to me and saying, hey, I've already talked

  307. with Chase, I need to talk to you, Can you make this happen?

  308. And there's plenty of times that I'm thinking, I'm a brain.

  309. I have this ongoing list of things that the Ministry is

  310. requiring to happen. So that we can continue to

  311. function at fullness. There's those thoughts could

  312. totally come into my brain, and I'm sure they do.

  313. And you know, what needs to stop is I don't need to say I can't

  314. do that. That's not what Chase That's not

  315. what Pastor Earl needs. In those moments when Pastor Tim

  316. comes and says, hey, can you serve this Sunday in Nautilus?

  317. He doesn't need you to say ah, and I'm too busy, 'cause I just

  318. want to come. Sit in service and listen.

  319. 'Cause I don't want to miss out on service that gets.

  320. That's like the biggest thing that people will say is I don't

  321. want to miss out on service. And you know what?

  322. Melanie Clay has a phenomenal revelation on this that you need

  323. to get when you're serving in another area.

  324. You're not missing out on what God's doing in here.

  325. Because you're exactly where God needs you to be in this

  326. building, so you're not missing out on something.

  327. So when Pastor Tim comes to you and says, hey, can you serve

  328. this Sunday, 'cause we had a couple call outs, unfortunately,

  329. and you're available, you're not scheduled anywhere else.

  330. You don't have anything else going on.

  331. You need to say yes, I'm going to do that because you know

  332. what? The vision is bigger than us in

  333. our own time and the our own desires, the own things, our own

  334. things that we want to do. But we need to have a

  335. supernatural tenacity to do what's asked, to do what's told,

  336. to do what's commanded in God's word, but then also to go above

  337. and beyond 'cause there's plenty of times that pastoral comes,

  338. and he says, hey, we need to do this.

  339. Chase comes and says, hey, we need to do this.

  340. And I have to say, OK, there are priorities that are already in

  341. the queue. How do you want me to fit this

  342. in? That is the better conversation

  343. than saying, Nah, I can't do that because then we're finding

  344. we can do it, we're going to do it, we're going to accomplish it

  345. one way or the other, and we're going to figure out how can we

  346. fit this in, what things are actually not priority coming up

  347. that's due. Within the next few weeks that

  348. we can just bump, we can move things around, We can have

  349. conversations. That's what your employer's

  350. looking for you to do. That's what our ministry

  351. coordinators are looking for you to do when they're asking you to

  352. serve. When your your employer's asking

  353. you to work more hours, he's not looking for you to complain and

  354. say that's me. Time.

  355. He's looking for you. Or or she's looking for you to

  356. say, OK, sure, I can absolutely do that.

  357. I'd be happy to help. I'd.

  358. I'd be happy to pick up this deficit.

  359. Because we're supposed to do all things.

  360. I told you we could camp on this for an hour, do all things

  361. without grumbling or complaining.

  362. Verse 17 in Philippians 2 continues on.

  363. But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the

  364. sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and I share my

  365. joy with you all. Paul's saying here, even if he

  366. is to die, even if he's going to die, he's going to rejoice

  367. because he poured it all out to him.

  368. He poured it all out to him. Do you have that kind of

  369. contentment? At the end of the day, do you

  370. have that kind of contentment that your head would hit the

  371. pillow? And you're like, I did

  372. everything I needed to do today? I poured it all out today.

  373. I did all things without grumbling, complaining.

  374. I did all things exactly the way that I needed to do them today.

  375. I gave it all out. I was the influence I needed to

  376. be. Do you have that kind of

  377. contentment? Because apparently we can have

  378. that kind of contentment because the Apostle Paul did.

  379. You didn't. Complain to those in authority

  380. over you. You didn't bicker when Pastor

  381. had to correct you in a meeting. Because Pastor corrects us.

  382. Because he loves us. Because the Bible says that God

  383. corrects those that he loves. And if you don't like

  384. correction, the book of Proverbs says you're stupid.

  385. So when you don't want to be corrected, you're being stupid.

  386. Don't be stupid. Do all things without

  387. complaining, without grumbling. Don't be blaming pastor saying,

  388. oh, he's not using me, he's not letting my gift come out.

  389. You probably just need to be faithful.

  390. You probably just need to be faithful to the vision and wait,

  391. guys, I've been here since 2012. This is my second time ever on

  392. this platform speaking to Y'all. I get to teach in Kingdom

  393. Institute all the time. I get to teach in life class all

  394. the time. And you know what?

  395. I probably wasn't ever ready to be up here.

  396. And that's. OK, because you know what?

  397. I There was a time I was telling Alyssa and Bradley upstairs.

  398. There was a time that I was like, yeah, man, I would love to

  399. minister, I'd love to preach. But, you know, after a while I

  400. was just like, whatever pastor's going to ask me when he asks me,

  401. it's not a big deal. I'm going to just do my part

  402. with the vision. I'm gonna do my part with the

  403. vision because I have this somewhere later in my notes.

  404. Our staff, as I was talking about Pastoral having to come to

  405. us and say, hey, we're gonna have to work 12 hour days.

  406. You know, it's gonna be crazy. But it's just a season.

  407. All of us on staff, all of our Pastoral staff, our leadership

  408. staff, we're really just the whatever team.

  409. We've got, our youth ministry team, we've got our Treasure

  410. Harbor preschool team, we've got our creative team.

  411. But we're all really just the whatever team that whatever the

  412. vision requires, we're just going to shut up.

  413. We're going to do it and we're going to see the vision come to

  414. pass. Because it's not my time.

  415. It's not my time. It's not Pastor Earl's time.

  416. Because he said it. All the time.

  417. This is not his church. His name is not out on the sign.

  418. If he had to step away a senior pastor tomorrow because the Lord

  419. told him to, he would do it in a heartbeat and hand it off to

  420. whoever the Lord told him to. Because it's not his church,

  421. it's the Lord's. And if we all would rally around

  422. this scripture, this commandment to do all things, what would

  423. anchor Faith Church look like in six months?

  424. What would anchor Faith Church look like in 12 months?

  425. But do all. Things, and I'm not saying that

  426. you're not going to have to do's to do 'cause, man, there ain't

  427. no way I'm going to accomplish 156 to do's in one single day.

  428. There ain't enough hours in the day.

  429. I have dreams I have. There's other purposes that I

  430. ain't going to accomplish that in 24 hours.

  431. But if by some horrible, awful, terrible, no good, very bad

  432. reason I were to die tomorrow, do I feel contentment that I

  433. have poured it all out in the last 24 hours?

  434. Do I have contentment that the last week I have poured it all

  435. out? Where was I at?

  436. Oh my gosh. When we aren't arguing, when we

  437. aren't complaining, we show people who God literally is.

  438. We show God. We show people who God literally

  439. is. We show people that there's a

  440. better way to do life. We show people that, hey, you

  441. don't have to just be a United States citizen.

  442. I represent a Kingdom. I represent a whole other

  443. government that is functioning right now in the world.

  444. It's got a better healthcare system.

  445. It's got a better financial system.

  446. It's got better currency 'cause there's no inflation, there's no

  447. exchange rates. But the the passion says they're

  448. to live a cheerful life. Live a cheerful life.

  449. But don't just be happy. Get joy, 'cause it's the fruit

  450. of the spirit, right? Joy supersedes happiness and

  451. cheerfulness. And that sounds a lot like

  452. Philippians Chapter 4, verse 4. You guys all know this.

    Philippians 4:4

  453. It's King James Version. Rejoice in the Lord always and

  454. again. I say rejoice.

  455. Rejoice in the Lord Always, man. Pastor Marcus was all over this

  456. earlier. You have to choose to rejoice.

  457. We have to choose not to bicker. We have to choose not to

  458. complain. We have to choose instead to

  459. rise up in joy and rejoice and say thank you, Lord.

  460. Then I was walking up in the middle of the night because my

  461. daughter came to the side of the bed having peed her bed.

  462. And then she threw up because she was sick.

  463. And I got up to clean and I realized that my cat threw up in

  464. the middle of the hallway. And then I go to get towels and

  465. cleaning supplies and my dog threw up by the back door and

  466. the other dog pooped all over the living room.

  467. Thank you, Lord. Then I get to clean all this up,

  468. rejoice in the Lord always. Just laugh about it.

  469. We talk about that often, that you just have to have joy,

  470. because you know what? It's not going to help my wife

  471. out. So I can help my kids out to

  472. just get frustrated and be angry, turn all the lights on.

  473. You're screaming. Yelling.

  474. Thankfully something quite to that magnitude has never

  475. happened in our home. It's come very close at one

  476. point. I know some people that actually

  477. aren't in this room. Unfortunately, that it has

  478. almost happened too. And it's rough.

  479. But in those moments, you have to rejoice when you're getting

  480. ready for work. You walk outside and all of a

  481. sudden you realize that your vehicle has four flat tires.

  482. What are you going to do? Are you going to go yell at

  483. somebody? You're going to go be.

  484. Mad about it. You know what?

  485. You can be mad, but you know what?

  486. Rejoice and say thank you Lord. You have to buy me 4 new tires

  487. Now. You got a bill that just showed

  488. up. This wasn't a suggestion, guys.

  489. Rejoice. What's coming out of your mouth?

  490. Are you blaming your situations and circumstances or are you

  491. reigning over them? Are you blaming them or are you

  492. reigning over them? This isn't a suggestion.

  493. Just like Philippians 214, it's a commandment to us.

  494. Rejoice when you get asked to work more hours, 'cause you know

  495. what that means. That's more finance in your

  496. pocket so you can give more money.

  497. There's more opportunities to give and you're also at your

  498. job. More to be a light to the those

  499. fellow employees. More rejoice when extended

  500. family comes to town for the holidays.

  501. And you're thinking to yourself, uh, oh, there might be a whole

  502. bunch of bickering and planning going on, But don't jump right

  503. in with them. Don't jump right in with them.

  504. Rejoice. When your child comes to you at

  505. 8:00 PM and says I have a giant project that's due tomorrow and

  506. it's worth 75% of my entire yearly grade, and I haven't done

  507. any of it, but I've known about it since the very beginning of

  508. the year. But I didn't tell you and I

  509. never gave you the slips that they sent home with me that

  510. notified you. I'm so sorry.

  511. Rejoice. Because you know what?

  512. You're gonna be pulling an all nighter with your kid relish in

  513. that crazy time, 'cause you know what?

  514. That's gonna build a crazy, goofy, silly memory that you're

  515. gonna be able to laugh on at in years to come.

  516. Rejoice when something like that happens because you ain't gonna

  517. help your child out by getting mad and frustrated at him.

  518. You're not helping nobody out. Rejoice.

  519. Like Pastor Marcus was saying, we have to choose to rejoice.

  520. Are you reigning over those thoughts that are gonna come to

  521. your mind? Because, man, it's like, oh,

  522. it's 8:00 PM. Well, target's open for another

  523. two hours. Walmart's open maybe until 11.

  524. We gotta go right now. We gotta go.

  525. You got a shopping list? We're gonna make a shopping

  526. list. OK, What are we getting?

  527. We're getting poster boards. We're getting construction

  528. paper. We need more glue 'cause we

  529. ain't got anything. We have to rejoice, 'cause we're

  530. Kingdom citizens. We don't blame reigning kings.

  531. Don't blame circumstances. They see those circumstances and

  532. they say no, I'm going to fix that with the word of God.

  533. They see those bad situations and they say no.

  534. You have to line up with the word of my king.

  535. So when you get a bad diagnosis, are you instead saying, ah, the

  536. word of my king? Actually says by his stripes I

  537. was healed. When you have those four flat

  538. tires, are you saying the Lord supplies all my needs according

  539. to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus?

  540. When you get asked to teach a life class and you've never

  541. taught a life class before, are you rejoicing and saying, Lord,

  542. I thank you that I am apartment to teach?

  543. I'm well able. You're going to speak through me

  544. that it's not going to be my own words, but it's going to be the

  545. word of the Holy Spirit speaking through me.

  546. That's my prayer every time I get up to speak in life Class or

  547. Kingdom Institute because I, you guys don't need the words of

  548. Todd Fouchet. The words of Todd Fouchet are

  549. gonna be empty and dumb and just really stupid if I'm being

  550. honest. I have a college education, but

  551. you know what? Like, who cares?

  552. I had to make that joke just for Josh and Chase, and they're not

  553. even here. But rejoice when you get asked

  554. to speak to our teenagers. Oh, and you need to pray for

  555. Pastor Brandon in April. I've smelled your teenagers.

  556. Y'all. I have seen the angst that just

  557. pours off of them. I've gone to camp with them and

  558. smelled them after they haven't showered for five days.

  559. You need to pray for Pastor Brandon and April.

  560. You need to pray for their their leaders back there.

  561. But if you get asked to speak to them, you need to pour it all

  562. out. You don't need to.

  563. You don't need to beat around the Bush.

  564. You need to tell them like it is because Pastor Brandon in April.

  565. I mean, you heard Pastor April last week.

  566. That's exactly what she and Pastor Brandon administer every

  567. single Wednesday to your teenagers.

  568. I make their life class booklets.

  569. We see the material that they're teaching our teenagers and it's

  570. great stuff. It's the word of God.

  571. You need to pray for them 'cause those teenagers, they need the

  572. fire of the Holy Ghost more than they need a fire emoji on their

  573. latest TikTok. But you need to rejoice because

  574. Paul rejoiced and guess what? He wrote this letter to the

  575. Church of Philippi from a prison with his arms chained above his

  576. head and he was waist deep in human fecal matter and sewage

  577. and waste and gross stuff that rats would run around the on top

  578. of it and run all over the arms and the chains and they would

  579. eat at the flesh of the prisoners.

  580. That's where Paul is having to dictate this to someone, to

  581. write it down, saying rejoice. And again I say rejoice where

  582. he's saying do all things without bickering or complaining

  583. he's waist deep in sewage. Guys, if anybody had an

  584. opportunity to complain, to blame his circumstances, to

  585. blame God. God, you sent me here.

  586. But he didn't do it. He didn't do it.

  587. He instead decided, you know what?

  588. No, I'm a king. I'm gonna rejoice.

  589. I'm gonna rejoice. Because Paul was content with

  590. little, he was content with much, and he had.

  591. Every right to complain. But he didn't.

  592. Come on, Look at the life of Joseph.

  593. Pesaro wrote a whole book on this, and it's powerful.

  594. It's amazing. You need to go buy it.

  595. You need to read it cover to cover.

  596. It's called Cows, Crows and Constellations.

  597. Joseph had every right to complain, to blame his brothers,

  598. to blame his father for showing way too much favor on him,

  599. 'cause guess what he was. Left for dead, he was sold into

  600. slavery. Then he was servant to a master

  601. that he tried his best to honor that guy.

  602. And then guess what happens? He got falsely accused and

  603. thrown in prison. He's forgotten about, and I'm

  604. sure he probably had plenty of thoughts at every turn, every

  605. turn. Man, what is happening?

  606. But he put those thoughts away. He He shut them up and instead

  607. he held on to the dream. He held on to the purpose.

  608. He held on to the vision that God had given him all those

  609. years prior. He chose to not bicker or

  610. complain. Are you blaming or are you?

  611. Reigning the passion of Philippians 4 Four there says in

  612. every season of life. Be cheerful with joyous

  613. celebration in every season of life.

  614. So that means no matter if you have a little, no matter if you

  615. if you have a lot. And every season of life,

  616. rejoice when you're having to work more hours, when you when

  617. it feels like all chaos is coming at you.

  618. And your kids have 17 things due in the next two weeks with

  619. school, and you have to take them to every sporting event and

  620. every activity that you signed them up for.

  621. You did this yourself. Don't complain.

  622. Don't start complaining about the very promise that God has

  623. given you, because I bet you every.

  624. Single one of y'all. Believe God for kids in here.

  625. Don't start complaining about those kids now because of the

  626. choices you made to sign them up for yet another sports events,

  627. another sports event, another sports team, another activity to

  628. do. Holy moly and the apostle Paul,

  629. he had every right guys. Especially early in ministry,

  630. right? Because Paul was unacclaimed

  631. Christian killer, he said. I was a Pharisee of Pharisees.

  632. Paul was present at the stoning of Stephen.

  633. They all laid their cloaks at the feet of of Saul.

  634. At the time. The guy literally haunted down

  635. Christians. So what kind of thoughts?

  636. Do you think was coming into his brain whenever he was having to

  637. go and talk to the disciples, whenever he's having to seek out

  638. James and seek out Peter to talk to them about what Jesus had

  639. said to him on the road to Damascus?

  640. What kind of thoughts were having to come to him?

  641. Are you complaining or are you reigning and the enemy's crafty

  642. about this too, guys? He'll wrap up thoughts in

  643. beautiful wrapping paper with silver ribbon with beautiful

  644. ornate bows on top. Thoughts that sound like this.

  645. Ah, Pastor Tam. Pastor Vanessa, I'm so sorry.

  646. I'm not gonna be able to come do the blitz on Saturday.

  647. I really just have to spend time with my family that day, 'cause

  648. that's that thought can sound so noble.

  649. That can sound so noble, guys. But.

  650. Why all of a sudden would we think that it's just the kids

  651. ministry. We can we can neglect it.

  652. They don't need my gift. If you're serving in there, if

  653. you're a part of that team, they need your gift.

  654. You're needed there. Rick's family Christmas.

  655. We did this past. Christmas.

  656. It's the first year we did it. We were asked to do it.

  657. We had like a few months of preparation and stuff, and I

  658. remember there was something that was happening.

  659. Somebody was supposed to be there to get coverage for photos

  660. and videos. I don't remember exactly what

  661. was happening, but something fell through.

  662. That chase came to me and Josh and Connor at the time and was

  663. like, hey, so sorry. One of us is going to have to

  664. get scheduled for this and it's on Christmas Day and I remember

  665. in my in my brain thinking Christmas.

  666. Day we're going to have to work. On Christmas Day, those were

  667. thoughts that immediately came in my brain, and I let that sit

  668. for probably about 24 hours. But I finally said to my wife, I

  669. was like. How dare I think to myself that

  670. my own personal time is worth more than what God would want to

  671. be doing through our people. How dare I have that attitude

  672. that I would think that my own personal time is worth more than

  673. that. Cause man, I was so excited to

  674. see everybody that showed up, that families that made it their

  675. morning, that made it their Christmas celebration.

  676. And I thought that's exactly what I would have done.

  677. I would have carted my entire. Family with me so that I could

  678. take photos, take videos, and everybody that was there had an

  679. absolute blast serving those people.

  680. And I was just so ecstatic that I was able to just be like, no,

  681. if Chase needs somebody, if Pastor Earl needs somebody to be

  682. there, I'll be the one that needs to.

  683. Be there if it's asked, and I'm gonna be fine with it, I'm gonna

  684. be excited to be there, 'cause you know what?

  685. My kids wake up at like 5:00 AM anyway, it's later on in the

  686. morning. No big deal.

  687. We will have opened all of our presents.

  688. We will have ate breakfast and then we could have gone there

  689. and it would have been no big deal.

  690. But these are the thoughts that they can sound so noble guys

  691. that you're thinking, man, that's my vacation day, that's

  692. my personal time. But all of that is just rooted

  693. in selfishness. Are you blaming or are you

  694. reigning 'cause our life's not our own guys if we're kings of

  695. God's Kingdom. That means he owns us.

  696. If he's our Lord, that means he owns us.

  697. James, chapter One, verses 2 through 4.

  698. Consider it all joy, my brethren, my brothers.

  699. When you encounter various trials, consider it all joy,

  700. knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

  701. And let endurance have its perfect results so that you may

  702. be perfect and complete, lacking and nothing.

  703. Tough situations show up. They create the perfect

  704. opportunity for you to be made perfect.

  705. For you to be made lacking in nothing.

  706. It says here. Lacking in nothing, count it all

  707. joy because faith means endurance.

  708. We can't be like the children of Israel.

  709. We can't be like the children of Israel.

  710. Heading out of Egypt, coming into the promised land.

  711. First John, Chapter 5 verses 3 through 4.

    1 John 5:3–4

  712. Pastor Andrew read this on Sunday.

  713. First, John, chapter 5, verses 3 through 4.

    John 5:3–4

  714. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.

  715. And his commandments are not burdensome because we've been

  716. empowered by grace. For whatever is born of God

  717. overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the

  718. world, our faith. So when we aren't doing, when

  719. we're doing things without bickering and complaining, when

  720. we're deciding to let these tough.

  721. Situations perfect us and mold us and shape us.

  722. When it's we're letting those times build our faith, it's

  723. helping us overcome the world. It's helping us overcome

  724. adversity. Don't give in to thoughts of.

  725. Defeat. Don't give in to thoughts of

  726. lack and chaos and distractions, 'cause they're everywhere.

  727. They're on our phones, they're on our tablets.

  728. I I work on it on a. Computer screens are everywhere.

  729. You go to Bailey's gym and there's TV's everywhere with

  730. every single news station and like other channel just playing

  731. stuff and it's just all a distraction.

  732. Count it all joy. Are you blaming or are you

  733. reigning? We're in a new and better

  734. covenant when we stoop to this level, guys.

  735. When we stoop to this level, we're no better than the

  736. children of Israel and we're in a new and better covenant.

  737. Romans 1513 it says Now may the God of hope fill you with all

  738. joy and peace and believing so that you will abound and hope by

  739. the power of the Holy Spirit. We've been learning how to

  740. control our willpower, how to control our thoughts.

  741. But what good is it being filled with joy, being filled with

  742. peace if you're not speaking it out?

  743. That's why I asked you, what are the things you've been saying

  744. the last few months? Are you blaming circumstances?

  745. Are you blaming situations? What are you saying to yourself

  746. when you're all alone at the end of the day?

  747. What are you saying to yourself after you leave a meeting?

  748. After you and your spouse have made-up?

  749. After an argument? What are you saying after that

  750. 'cause we always have said that it's the meeting after the

  751. meeting that is really important.

  752. What are you saying to yourself? Are you Are you having thoughts,

  753. prevailing thoughts of bickering?

  754. Complaining you're having prevailing thoughts of It's

  755. terrible. I can't believe the outcome of

  756. this meeting. Or are you choosing to reign

  757. over those thoughts, Shove them out of your your brain?

  758. Say no. I have the peace of God.

  759. I have the joy of God. Are you choosing to operate in

  760. joy, 'cause when we complain about the very thing we believed

  761. God for, we look like defeated people.

  762. When we complain about the very thing that we believed God for,

  763. we look like the people God wanted to destroy and utterly

  764. wipe out. Go to Romans chapter. 13

  765. Hopefully I can end this year. I have so much more scripture

  766. right now. We're gonna see what happens.

  767. Numbers, Chapter 13, Numbers Chapter 13.

Numbers 13 chapter mention Numbers 13 chapter mention

  768. Starting verse 25. They've got it.

  769. When they returned from spying out the land at the end of the

  770. at the end of the 40 days, they proceeded to come to Moses and

  771. Aaron, to all the congregation of the sons of Israel in the

  772. wilderness. Paranic Kadesh.

  773. They brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and

  774. showed them the fruit of the land.

  775. And thus they told him and said, We went into the land where you

  776. sent us, and it certainly does flow with milk and honey, and

  777. this is its fruit. Nevertheless, the people who

  778. live in the land are strong and the.

  779. Cities are fortified and very large and moreover.

  780. We saw the descendants of Enoch there.

  781. They saw giants skip down to verse 30.

  782. Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said we should

  783. by all means go up and take possession of it, for we are

  784. sure we will surely overcome it. But the men who had gone up with

  785. him said, we're not able to go up against the people, for they

  786. are too strong for us. So they gave out to the sons of

  787. Israel on a a bad report of the land which they had spied out

  788. saying. The land through which we have

  789. gone and spying out is a land that devours its inhabitants,

  790. and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size.

  791. There are there. We also saw the Nephilim, the

  792. sons of Anac. We became like grasshoppers in

  793. our own sight and we were in their sight.

  794. So wait a second, So they just told all the people that it's a

  795. land flowing with milk and honey and here's this fruit, this

  796. great fruit. And Caleb has said we're able to

  797. take this land. But then they decided to go out

  798. from saying all of this stuff and they decided to twist.

  799. They decided to twist this word and they said no, we can't take

  800. these people. There's giants there.

  801. We can't defeat them. Their cities.

  802. Are heavily fortified. But this was the same word that

  803. God gave to Moses in Exodus chapter 3, verse 17.

    Exodus 3:17

  804. He said, I will bring you out of the affliction of Egypt, to the

  805. land of all these people, to a land flowing with milk and

  806. honey. It's the same word that God had

  807. gave Abram in Genesis 15. The Israelites were very

  808. familiar with this word that this was a land flowing with

  809. milk and honey, that they were able to take it.

  810. God was bringing them to this land.

  811. But the spies, they twisted this report.

  812. And Caleb there in verse 30, he's trying to rally the troops.

  813. He's like guys we can do this but let's read on.

  814. This story continues in chapter 14.

  815. Cause the Bible's not written in chapter and verse.

  816. We just split it up for referencing.

  817. It says in chapter 14 numbers chapter 14, verse one.

    Numbers 14 chapter mention

  818. Then all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried and

  819. the people wept. That night all the sons of

  820. Israel grumbled against Moses and.

  821. Aaron and the whole congregation said to them, would that we had

  822. died in the land of Egypt. Or would that we had died in

  823. this wilderness? Why is the Lord bringing us into

  824. this land? To fall by the sword?

  825. Our wives and our little ones will become plunder.

  826. Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?

  827. So they said to one another, let us appoint a leader and return

  828. to Egypt. They let the.

  829. Spy's false witness resonate within them.

  830. All night they cried out their voices.

  831. All night they were grumbling against their leaders.

  832. You better watch out if you start to grumble against those

  833. that God has placed you under. You better watch out when you're

  834. second guessing the words, especially the word that is

  835. preached from this platform because pastor says that all the

  836. time. Study the scripture, study it

  837. out yourself, he says. If I'm wrong, show me in

  838. scripture. He says that all the time

  839. because pastor loves having conversations about the word.

  840. If you have a question about something, schedule a meeting.

  841. He loves to dissect it. He loves to just let's talk

  842. about this thing. We do it in staff meeting all

  843. the time. It's called iron sharpen iron.

  844. It's awesome, 'cause we'll bring up the craziest stuff and we'll

  845. just talk about it from scripture.

  846. But oh, you better watch out if you're grumbling, saying, saying

  847. like I said earlier, pastor's not using me.

  848. He's not using my gift. When's my time?

  849. When's my time? Be faithful?

  850. Just serve with the babies and Nautilus Junior.

  851. Just serve with those smelly teenagers in the current.

  852. Just serve faithfully. As a part of our worship team.

  853. Because all of that just it just sounds so selfish.

  854. When's when's my time. Why won't pastor use me?

  855. And pastors are just gonna he's gonna give you the same answer.

  856. Be faithful, be faithful. Cause the Bible says be faithful

  857. with little. And then you can be faithful

  858. with much, But we'll try to justify things with our own

  859. opinion. Don't be justifying.

  860. Don't be trying to justify your opinion, especially if your

  861. opinion is. It ought with the word that is

  862. coming from our pastor. The lies of these spies cost

  863. them the purpose of God, this entire generation that was

  864. rescued out of Egypt. This purpose of God, that he

  865. said I'm calling you out of the affliction of Egypt into a land

  866. that I promised you, that I promised your father's, that I

  867. promised Abraham, that I promised Isaac, that I promised

  868. Jacob. And they let this focus of

  869. sight, this lie about we were like grasshoppers.

  870. We were like grasshoppers in their sight.

  871. Man, they don't know. They didn't talk with them.

  872. They had no idea. You could be having thoughts of

  873. inadequacy, thinking, man, I'm just not good enough for this

  874. promotion at work, but I really want it.

  875. I'm just not good enough. And all the while you're you're

  876. superiors thinking, man, I really wish they would just kind

  877. of get a little more confidence because by all accounts, they're

  878. qualified. And all the while you're just

  879. thinking, oh, I'm just not good enough for it.

  880. And the Holy Spirit's saying, come on.

  881. You're a king. You're a queen.

  882. Rise up in boldness. Just stick with the word.

  883. That's what the Israelites should have done.

  884. But they let these lies, they let this discord sow doubt.

  885. They let this discord sow unbelief in what God's word was

  886. for them. Let them this discord sow doubt

  887. and unbelief in their leaders that their leaders, they're

  888. they're complaining against their leaders saying why would

  889. you lead us here just to die? Why would Pastor Earl lead us to

  890. outreach at West Augustine just to sweat all day long?

  891. In the hot. Florida Sun, because families

  892. lives matter. Because those young boys that

  893. are playing football, those young girls that are part of

  894. their cheerleading teams, the parents of all of those kids,

  895. they matter to our king because they have a purpose.

  896. They have a destiny that they would just grab a hold of what

  897. the Kingdom says about them, what the Kingdom says is

  898. possible with their life. They would shake their families.

  899. They would shake their communities.

  900. They would shake Saint Augustine.

  901. And Saint Johns County. We just have to stick with the

  902. word. Don't believe the lie.

  903. Continuing on in verse five, it says.

  904. Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces in the presence of

  905. all the assembly, and the congregation of the sons of

  906. Israel, Joshua the son of Anon, and Caleb the son of Jebna, of

  907. those who had spied out the land, they tore their clothes,

  908. and they spoke to all of the congregation of the sons of

  909. Israel, saying, the land which we pass through to.

  910. Spy out is an. Exceedingly good land.

  911. If the Lord is pleased with us, then He will bring us into this

  912. land and give it to us. A land flowing with mocha and

  913. honey only. Do not rebel against the Lord.

  914. Do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our prey.

  915. I love that they will be our prey.

  916. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord

  917. is with us. The Lord's not with all these

  918. other people. The Lord's not with those that

  919. are lost in your workplace. The the Lord is not with all of

  920. these people that try to come against the Church.

  921. The Lord is with us. The Lord is with us.

  922. Do not fear them. But all the congregation said to

  923. the Said to stone them with stones, stone them with stones.

  924. Then the glory of the Lord appeared in the the tent of

  925. meaning to all the sons of of Israel.

  926. God's word is true. It's what Joshua and Caleb are

  927. trying to tell them. Guys.

  928. It's exactly what God promised us, guys.

  929. It's exactly what we have heard. It's exactly what God has

  930. promised us. God has promised you something.

  931. God wants to take you to another level.

  932. There might be a new promotion at work, a new house 'cause you

  933. need to expand your family. You find out there's a new

  934. private school in town called Washington Classical Christian

  935. School and the Holy Spirit's. Leading you to these things, the

  936. Holy Spirit's nudging you saying, hey, this promotion for

  937. you at work, it's gonna, it's gonna open up whole new

  938. opportunities for you with this company if you just will

  939. continue to apply these leadership principles that

  940. you've learned. We've got people in our church

  941. that have done these things and they've been promoted crazy

  942. amounts. A new house because you need to

  943. expand. You realize, man, this is

  944. exactly what God. What God put on our heart.

  945. This new private school, you find out, Oh my gosh, this

  946. classical Christian. Oh, they're spirit filled.

  947. Oh, they're associated with Rhema.

  948. And this the spirit of faith. Oh, they preach the.

  949. Kingdom of God. But all of a sudden you hear a

  950. different report. That promotion's not all it's

  951. cracked up to be. The neighborhood the house is

  952. in. There's some really sketchy

  953. people, some sketchy stuff that goes on the private school.

  954. They correct their students, no. And you begin to meditate on

  955. these, these reports, these murmurings, these complaints,

  956. these excuses, these blames. And all of a sudden you get

  957. passed by on that promotion, that housing contract you had

  958. falls through. You put your kid in public

  959. school much to your demise. Not demise.

  960. Not the word I'm looking for there.

  961. But all the while the Holy Spirit was saying this is what I

  962. promised for this next level. This is what I promised for this

  963. next level, and instead you you let grumblings, you let

  964. complaining, you let blame get in the way for you.

  965. It's like Romans chapter 6, verse 15.

    Romans 6:15

  966. What then? Shall we sin because we are not

  967. under the law but under grace? May it never be.

  968. That's like saying, being under grace, should we keep listening

  969. to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons 'cause

  970. that's exactly what that kind of that kind of stuff is, guys.

  971. When discord and arguing, complaining, grumbling is being

  972. sown, that's deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.

  973. Should we complain about our children, our work, our leaders?

  974. May it never be, may it never be.

  975. We should do all things without grumbling or complaining.

  976. Romans 10/17 says so. Then faith comes by hearing and

  977. hearing by the word of God. So the opposite must be true.

  978. So then fear comes from hearing and hearing the word of the

  979. enemy. This is what we see in Numbers

  980. 13 and 14. They're bickering, they're

  981. complaining, they're second guessing.

  982. They're arguing against their leaders.

  983. It produced fear in their hearts.

  984. It's so doubt and unbelief in their leaders.

  985. It's so doubt and unbelief for God's promises, for their very

  986. lives. And an entire generation missed

  987. out on what God had promised. Them they went parading and

  988. plundering out of Egypt, excited to be free of slavery, slavery.

  989. And they're sitting there on the.

  990. Precipice of God's promises, saying it would have been better

  991. if we had died in Egypt. What?

  992. You're on the precipice of another level with God on

  993. another level in life. And God's saying, just apply my

  994. word to it. Just apply my word to it.

  995. Just apply my word to it. But then you just decide.

  996. But what about all this other stuff I've been hearing?

  997. I don't. I'm not.

  998. I'm not. OK, I don't need that additional

  999. responsibility at work. I don't need that additional

1000. influence over people's lives to be an example of God's Kingdom.

1001. Are you blaming or are you reigning?

1002. What are you saying when you're leaving these four?

1003. Walls, What are you saying when symptoms show up in your life?

1004. Because if you're constantly saying, man, I'm sick, I'm

1005. always getting sick. I'm always getting sick.

  1006. I always have a cough. I'm always sneezing.

1007. Well, guess what first, Peter 224 and Isaiah 53.

1008. Five. Those aren't gonna work in your

1009. life because there's no faith to work in your life.

1010. There's no faith that can be attached to God's word.

1011. We've been given this Kingdom that cannot be shaken.

1012. We've been given the very word of the King of Kings.

1013. To equip us, to give us faith, to overcome the world.

1014. But we have to choose. We have to be the ones that

1015. decide. I'm not going to bicker.

1016. I'm not going to complain. I'm not going to whine.

1017. And my kids, they whine. Isley needs to hear this message

1018. tonight because me and Brianna, we're having to tell her all the

1019. time when we put food on the table and she's like, I don't

1020. want to eat this. Too bad.

1021. It's what's for dinner. We had to finally tell her.

1022. You know what? If you're going to whine about

1023. food, you're going to immediately get a spanking.

1024. Cause guess what? We spank our kids.

1025. Sorry if you don't spank your kids, but it's in the word of

1026. God and the people that are trying to prevail, deceiving

1027. spirits and doctrines of demons, of saying it's not our false

1028. teachers. I'm gonna say it right now.

1029. We call it like it is. We tell her you're gonna get a

1030. spanking. So put on a happy face and eat

1031. the food. And you know what?

1032. Happens. She starts to eat the food and

1033. then she's like oh mommy, daddy, I like this food.

1034. It's so delicious. And then she eats the entire

1035. plate and we're like Oh my God, if you would just eat the food,

1036. don't whine and cry to us 'cause that's it.

1037. We look like little 4 year old children to God when we we say

1038. God, why did you do this to me? Why did you say that I need to

1039. have this promotion? They gave me all this other

1040. responsibility and I have to work more.

1041. All the while God's saying I'm setting you up so that this

1042. entire department is going to be handed over to you so that

1043. you're the one calling the shots for all this stuff, so that all

1044. of that finance. Then you can start to funnel

1045. things to those employees so that you can start giving those

1046. other employees raises. So then you can start to make

1047. more money so that you can help to sow into the things that

1048. we're doing around the world. Are you blaming or are you

1049. reigning? I'm gonna close with this verse.

1050. Proverbs Chapter 18, verse 21. You guys should all know this.

    Proverbs 18:21

1051. Death and life are in the power of the tongue.

1052. And those who love it will eat its fruit.

1053. Our lives are not our own anymore.

1054. Well, pastor La Mercier away. We need to be diligent.

1055. We need to be diligent to do everything to pick up any slack.

1056. That's that. That gets let out, that we would

1057. pick up any batons that get laid to the side.

1058. And we need to do all things without grumbling or

1059. complaining. We need to serve one another.

1060. And when we do, we reign and we exemplify the Kingdom of God.
