  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Well, we all know this year is.

  4. About the reigning. Spirit, right?

  5. So you disagree with me that I can get across to you what's in

  6. me tonight about an enemy to your reigning spirit understand.

  7. And and you, you got to have this foundation first is that

  8. that that you are a spirit, you are a spirit, you have a soul

  9. and you live in a body. And so your spirit man, the Holy

  10. Ghost, when you got born again, came to live inside of your

  11. spirit man. And he lives inside of your

  12. spirit man now to lead you and to guide you in the truth and to

  13. show you things that are to come and to to guide you in every

  14. endeavor that you're in, in life.

  15. And and you know, this is his time, and this is his

  16. dispensation. This is the dispensation of the

  17. church and the Spirit of God. And so that's what he's called

  18. here to do, is to live within you and upon you and do you with

  19. power so that you can live in this crazy world that we're in.

  20. And you can have the victory and you don't have to.

  21. You don't have to succumb to to any heaviness or any thoughts or

  22. any demise or or anything that would take you down or take you

  23. under. You don't have to succumb to

  24. that. You can live in victory, and

  25. we're supposed to have a reigning spirit.

  26. But I do want to talk to you a little bit about trusting.

  27. I want to just fortify you tonight and your trust in the

  28. Lord. But one of the enemies to a

  29. reigning spirit is the reasoning mind.

  30. The reasoning mind. And I just want to talk about

  31. that just a little bit. You know, in my studies for

  32. tonight I could not get out of Romans chapter one and I'm going

  33. to get there. But I first want to start with

  34. Proverbs chapter 3. And can I just say Proverbs

Proverbs 3 chapter mention Proverbs 3 chapter mention

  35. chapter 3 tends to be a cliche scripture that we love to throw

  36. out. I trust in the Lord with all my

  37. heart and I'll lean not to my own understanding and all my

  38. ways. I'll acknowledge him and he'll

  39. make my path straight. It's all great and awesome that

  40. you can quote it, but do you do it?

  41. Are you actually doing it? You know, we like to quote No

  42. weapon formed against me shall prosper.

  43. We like to do that, but we forget.

  44. Sometimes the the beginning of that and the end of that is But

  45. their righteousness is of me, says the Lord.

  46. So if you don't have that trust in him, you can't be saying no

  47. weapon formed against me shall prosper.

  48. You got to 1st be fortified in him and trusting in him.

  49. But I do want to talk about this reasoning mind, because the more

  50. and more I see people in the church and and and outside of

  51. the church I see that we we tend to lean to our own

  52. understanding. We tend to lean to our own

  53. perception, our own our own feelings, our own emotions about

  54. a certain situation. And the Lord wants you to trust

  55. in Him at all times, that His praise would continually be in

  56. your mouth, that He's the one that you're constantly shifting

  57. to, constantly looking to. So let's go to Proverbs 3 and I

  58. actually want to read it A few other scriptures in and I want

  59. to start with verse one. It says, my son, do not forget

  60. my law, but let your heart keep my commands for length of days

  61. and long life and peace they will add to you.

  62. Let not mercy and truth forsake you.

  63. Bind them around your neck and write them on the tablet of your

  64. heart. And so find favor and high

  65. esteem in the sight of God and man.

  66. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own

  67. understanding. In all your ways.

  68. Acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.

  69. Do not be wise in your own eyes. Let me say that again.

  70. Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and depart from

  71. evil. It will be health to your flesh

  72. and strength to your bones. When it says, lean not to your

  73. own understanding. That actually does mean your own

  74. perception. Your own understanding of

  75. something. Your own viewpoint.

  76. Your own emotions, your own feelings about something.

  77. And you have to ask yourself in in everything that you do.

  78. When something hits you, When a trial hits you, when a

  79. relationship hits you the wrong way, when something hits you,

  80. what is your first reaction? What is your first go to and is

  81. it? Is it first?

  82. Luke? Luke said That's his first.

  83. We're going to talk to you a little bit tonight.

  84. If your first reaction is to respond and and and and not

  85. yield to the Holy Ghost, then that's where we need to make the

  86. adjustment. If your first reaction is to

  87. quickly speak and not yield and and time out and wait, you know

  88. we adults need a time out sometimes, not just yield and

  89. wait and say Holy Ghost, what do you want me to do in this

  90. situation that you don't take your own understanding of of

  91. whether it's your finances, whether it's a trial, whether

  92. it's your job, no matter what it is, your your life

  93. circumstances, you take your own understanding of that.

  94. And that's the way it is. And that's why, honestly,

  95. there's a lot of people are that are just doing what they want to

  96. do. And go in their own way.

  97. And the Scripture is very clear about that.

  98. And we're going to get to, we're going to talk about it.

  99. Proverbs chapter 20, verse 27 says it's not going to be up

    Proverbs 20:27

  100. there. The spirit of man is the lamp of

  101. the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart.

  102. I want to read it to you in another translation.

  103. The spirit of man is Yahweh's lamp, searching all his

  104. innermost. Hearts, you know, the scripture

  105. in Romans says those who are the children of God or the sons of

  106. God are the ones that are led by the Spirit of God.

  107. And the scripture says, in your spirit, God is the light, He is

  108. the lamp, He is the one that's leading you in everything that

  109. you do. And so anytime in life something

  110. comes at you, your first response should be not to in

  111. the, you know, the Psalm says I look to the hills from where my

  112. help comes. You know, the help doesn't come

  113. from the hills anymore. The help comes from the inside.

  114. The help comes from the Holy Ghost.

  115. And your first response should be to look inward and say, Holy

  116. Ghost, you're leading me, I'm yielded to you.

  117. You know you can quench the spirit of God.

  118. You know, you can grieve him. The Bible says you can, You can

  119. put the fire out of the Holy Ghost.

  120. You can quench him and everything that you do.

  121. And you don't want to be in that position where you're quenching

  122. the spirit of God. And I say that because this

  123. Scripture says the Holy Ghost is in you, searching the very

  124. innermost of your being. And so there's not anything that

  125. gets away from him. There's not anything that hides

  126. from him. Everything is naked and exposed

  127. before him. And I'm going to tell you if

  128. there's anything in you, anything in your heart that

  129. you've not dealt with, the Holy Ghost has definitely talked to

  130. you about it, and it's going to keep you in a position of guilt

  131. and condemnation. And if you stay there you'll not

  132. live by faith. You'll not live by faith.

  133. And you can say we we just sang the song.

  134. How he saved me. How he delivered me.

  135. How he set my feet on solid ground.

  136. And and we sing that and we say, God, you delivered me.

  137. God you set me free. You set my feet on solid ground.

  138. But for some reason now we want to do what we want to do.

  139. We want to have our own plans. We want to have our own minds.

  140. And and in Galatians it says, how come you foolish people how

  141. come? And the scripture says that.

  142. I'm not saying that you started this thing out in the Spirit and

  143. now you want to perfect it by doing it in the flesh and and

  144. and honestly we got to stop and and and I asked the Holy Ghost

  145. where do you want me to go tonight.

  146. And there must be there must be at least one of us.

  147. I bet there's more than that that needs to to to take a

  148. little step back and look inward and go.

  149. You know I've kind of been leaning to my own plan my own

  150. understanding my own what I want to do.

  151. You know, even in the story of Mary and Martha, you know Martha

  152. was cumbered about with many things that she thought the Lord

  153. wanted her to do. But was it what he wanted her to

  154. do? And we get all, we get all upset

  155. or mad because we're doing all these things for God, or we're

  156. doing all these things, or I'm getting this list done.

  157. How come my sister's not helping me?

  158. How come my sister in Christ not helping me?

  159. How come my husband ain't helping me?

  160. I'm getting my my list done, but I'm not doing anything, is unto

  161. the Lord I'm doing. Everything is unto Me.

  162. In my own plan, in my own, my own way.

  163. Now Proverbs 2826 says he who trusts in his own heart is a

  164. fool. He who trusts in his own heart

  165. is a fool. But whoever walks wisely will be

  166. delivered, Jeremiah 923 says. Thus says the Lord, let not the

  167. wise man glory in his wisdom, and let not the mighty man glory

  168. in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches.

  169. But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and

  170. knows me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness,

  171. judgment, and righteousness in the earth.

  172. For in these I delight, says the Lord.

  173. Now I want to go to Romans chapter One and you can follow

  174. along with me on the screen. Romans chapter One to me is

  175. something that I can read and just get so passionate about

  176. because I see it not just in people that are outside of the

  177. church, but people that are in the church and and you know,

  178. sometimes. We think we read this and we go

  179. a reprobate mind. I'm not, that's not me.

  180. I'm not that. But we're going to look.

  181. At what the definition of that is tonight?

  182. But let's start in Romans chapter one, verse 16.

  183. It says, for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is

  184. the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for

  185. the Jew 1st and also for the Greek.

  186. For in it in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed

  187. from faith to faith. As it is written, The just shall

  188. live by faith. Thank God for righteousness, for

  189. the wrath of God is revealed. Listen to this, for the wrath of

  190. God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and

  191. unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in

  192. unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest

  193. in them. Are you listening?

  194. Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has

  195. shown it to them. For since the creation of the

  196. world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being

  197. understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power

  198. and Godhead, so that they're without excuse, because although

  199. they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were

  200. they thankful. Let me read that again.

  201. Because although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God,

  202. nor were they thankful, but became futile because they

  203. didn't glorify Him as God, and because they were not thankful,

  204. they did. Not they did not have him as

  205. Lord, and they were not thankful.

  206. Are you glorifying him as God every day?

  207. Is he first? Are you seeking first the

  208. Kingdom of God, and are you thankful?

  209. Those are two very very important, very powerful

  210. principles. So they did not glorify him as

  211. God, nor were they thankful, but became futile in their thoughts,

  212. and their foolish hearts were darkened.

  213. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and change the

  214. glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like

  215. corruptible man and birds, and four footed animals and creeping

  216. things. Therefore God also gave them up

  217. to uncleanness in the. Lusts of their hearts to

  218. dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the

  219. truth of God for a lie and listen to this part and

  220. worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator

  221. who is blessed forever. Amen.

  222. Worshiped and served the creature rather than the

  223. Creator. We are living in a time where

  224. people are worshipping and serving the creation, the the

  225. creature yourself. Me, what I want, what I feel,

  226. what I need, instead of the Creator.

  227. They worshipped and served the creature rather than the

  228. Creator, who is blessed forever. For this reason God gave them up

  229. to vile passions. For even their women exchanged.

  230. And that you know why this is happening all over the the earth

  231. today. Right here he gave the women,

  232. the women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature,

  233. and likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the

  234. woman burned in their lust for one another, men with men

  235. committing with it what is shameful, and receiving in

  236. themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

  237. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,

  238. God gave them over to a debased mind or a reprobate mind to do

  239. those things which are not fitting or not proper.

  240. Being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual

  241. immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness,

  242. full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil, mindedness.

  243. They are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud

  244. boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

  245. undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,

  246. unmerciful, Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that

  247. those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only

  248. do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

  249. Now, I'm not trying to to get y'all all serious.

  250. Tonight we're going to talk about trusting in God and not

  251. your own self, but we got to talk about this.

  252. For just a minute, the reprobate mind actually means it.

  253. It was tested. The mind was tested and not

  254. approved. It was rejected.

  255. OK, the the thoughts. You know, you know the the

  256. scripture says that he searches, he searches the innermost part

  257. of your belly. Everything that's going on in

  258. you and he, he, the eyes of the Lord are are roaming to and fro

  259. looking for somebody whose heart heart is right before him.

  260. What does that mean? What does that mean?

  261. What is your mind thinking on? Can Can Can your mind be tested

  262. and approved? Can the Lord sees every thought

  263. in your mind? Can your mind be tested and

  264. approved or rejected? What's going on in your mind?

  265. Are you glorifying God? Listen this.

  266. I know it's the Bible says not to get away from the simplicity

  267. of that's in Christ. I know this may sound simple,

  268. but what I'm saying to you is this is life and this is how you

  269. overcome. And every single day of your

  270. life, when something hits you, you're either going to choose

  271. life or you're going to choose death.

  272. You're going to choose life in your thoughts or you're not.

  273. You're going to choose what the word of God says, or you're

  274. going to choose what you feel about it, what you think about

  275. it, what's your mind and what your emotions are saying about

  276. it. And you know your emotions are

  277. loud. I get that they are super loud

  278. and they can certainly talk, but you got to have enough maturity

  279. and enough discernment that when those things hit you, you're

  280. able to properly step back and discern.

  281. But like the scripture says, those that are mature and a full

  282. age by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good

  283. and evil that I can recognize. Whoa.

  284. My emotions are lit right now. They are on fire about

  285. something. I feel angry.

  286. I feel frustrated. I feel disappointed about

  287. something. What are you going to do with

  288. that feeling? What are you going to do with

  289. that emotion? You going to respond to it?

  290. You're going to respond to the circumstances of it?

  291. This is, this is where our maturity happens.

  292. Right here is when those things come at us, that we're able to

  293. stop for a minute and say Holy Ghost, what are you saying?

  294. Lead me, search my heart, see my anxious thoughts, see if there's

  295. anything offensive in me and lead me in the way everlasting.

  296. If David can do that, if David can do that, and we have the

  297. Holy Ghost within us and upon us, there's no excuse.

  298. There's no excuse for us. And when I read Romans chapter

  299. one, we're talking about people who who really can can have have

  300. been preached the word of God, can look at creation and say

  301. there's a God, have yet maybe even quoted some scriptures.

  302. Here and there. But you've got to guard your

  303. heart as a believer that you are always, always giving him the

  304. glory and always acknowledging him first and always being

  305. thankful so that you don't slip into.

  306. Because we're seeing people in the church slipping into this

  307. debased mind, slipping into this, this unrighteous thinking

  308. and and starting to make choices that go along with the reasoning

  309. of their mind. It should not be happening with

  310. us. It starts with a thought every,

  311. every single time. And then when it says they were

  312. vain in their imagination, that means the thinking of a man

  313. deliberating with himself, the thinking of a man deliberating

  314. with himself. It means inward reasoning.

  315. It means questioning what is true.

  316. It means hesitating. And doubting or disputing,

  317. That's what it means when they were vain in their imaginations.

  318. What are your imaginations on? What are your thoughts on?

  319. It says they were darkened, and that means the eyes of their

  320. understanding were not enlightened, they were darkened.

  321. Your desires don't define you. Can I just say that just because

  322. you have a desire does not mean that's you.

  323. Just because a a passion or a thing comes at you, you better

  324. know enough of the word of God and you better have enough in

  325. you to say I recognize where that's coming from and I'm going

  326. to kill that and squash that right now so it doesn't become a

  327. passion or a lust in me. Believers, this is believers.

  328. I'm talking to believers tonight.

  329. The devil is coming at you just like he is everybody else, Day

  330. and night, day and night. But you have the victory, We

  331. have the victory. You have the victory.

  332. And then remember a couple of Sundays ago, I said, you better

  333. look like and act like you have the victory on the inside all

  334. the time. Because you do.

  335. Because he's under your feet. And that's why righteousness is

  336. such a big subject for you to understand.

  337. When it says seek first the Kingdom of God and his

  338. righteousness, it's because remember, that's a gift to you.

  339. There are there are fruits of righteousness and you will do

  340. righteous things. But you first have to understand

  341. that he made you righteous, and there's nothing that you did to

  342. earn it other than you believed. And once you believed and you

  343. became righteous, you right then are seated in heavenly places

  344. with him far above all rule and authority and power and dominion

  345. and everything that's named. You're far above it.

  346. That's where you're seated in your righteousness.

  347. And so when the accuser of the brethren is coming at you and

  348. with those fiery darts, you have the Holy Ghost.

  349. You have Jesus all interceding for you and talking to you and

  350. leading you. It's nothing for you to say, OK,

  351. I hear you, OK, I know what the word of God says.

  352. That's under my feet. I don't have to yield to that.

  353. You know, the Bible says you're seated in the presence of your

  354. enemies. They're there.

  355. They're all, they're going to be there.

  356. But you got to stay seated. You got to stay seated at the

  357. table. I remember, and I've shared this

  358. before, when I was a Rhema student and I had gotten home

  359. from class one night and I was listening to Brother Hagen, and

  360. he was talking about casting your cares upon the Lord.

  361. And he started talking about Psalm 23 and being seated at the

  362. table. And he said, pass me a big bowl

  363. of victory and then he and then he got kind of wound up.

  364. He said pass me a bowl of joy. And then he got a little more

  365. wound up and he said pass me a bowl of peace.

  366. Well, I was sitting in in my apartment parking lot and I

  367. opened my little door in my car and I took off running down the

  368. street, left it playing in my car, just did something hit me.

  369. And I just all by myself, dark at night, just took off running

  370. because I got it. It clicked with me.

  371. I was like, yes, I don't have to worry about a thing.

  372. I can rejoice when anything comes.

  373. My brethren. Rejoice when you face trials of

  374. many kind, because you know why the testing of your faith

  375. develops perseverance. And sometimes the testing of our

  376. faith makes us want to run. We want to blame other people

  377. and we want to run or we want to stay offended when something

  378. comes instead of going well, Glory to God, this is a test and

  379. I'm not going to be moved. I'm going to count it all.

  380. Joy. OK, I better get through my

  381. nose. Jeremiah, chapter 17, verses 5

    Jeremiah 17:5–10

  382. through 10. Thus says the Lord.

  383. Cursed is the man who trusts in man, or trust in yourself, and

  384. makes flesh his strength. Cursed is that man whose heart

  385. departs from the Lord. For that man he shall be like a

  386. shrub in the desert, and shall not even see when good comes,

  387. but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness in a

  388. salt land which is not inhabited.

  389. Oh, but blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose

  390. hope is the Lord. For that man he shall be like a

  391. tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the

  392. river, and will not fear when heat comes.

  393. But it's leaf will be green, and it will not be anxious in the

  394. year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit the heart.

  395. Then it goes on to say the heart is deceitful above all things

  396. and desperately wicked. Who can know it?

  397. I, the Lord, search the heart and I test the mind even to give

  398. to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of

  399. his doings. OK, if he's if he's giving to

  400. you, every man according to his ways.

  401. Do you think it's just everything that you do

  402. outwardly, or do you think it? He also is looking at what

  403. you're thinking and what the meditation of your heart is.

  404. Always, always. He sees every bit of it.

  405. Now let's shift over into if you're reasoning, if you're

  406. trusting in your own mind, then really that's just a good

  407. indicator that you're not trusting God, that you're

  408. doubting, that you're letting unbelief come in and you know

  409. one moment of worry squashes every bit of faith that you

  410. have. You can come in here and you can

  411. get built up in the spirit. You can do your Bible reading at

  412. home, and you can feel strengthened, and then something

  413. hits you and you take about 10 minutes to worry about it and

  414. meditate on it and it you just squashed every bit of faith that

  415. you had. Do not give the devil a

  416. foothold. Do not give him an inch.

  417. You've got to be that precise, that deliberate in your mind, in

  418. your meditations, in your actions, that no matter what

  419. comes to you, you know exactly what to do.

  420. You discern it. And you know exactly what to do

  421. with it. Do not let doubt remain in you.

  422. All right, so let's go to Second Samuel, chapter 22, verse 31.

    2 Samuel 22:31

  423. As for God, his way is perfect. The word of the Lord is proven,

  424. and He is a shield to all those who trust in him.

  425. As for the Lord, his way is perfect.

  426. Do you not know? I mean all of you.

  427. I could look at all of you, and you could all say I was without

  428. the Lord at one time. We can all say that we we go,

  429. Wow, He set me free. He delivered me.

  430. He put me in a great church, look at what he's done for me.

  431. But then we get this certain trial and we think he doesn't

  432. have the strength to handle it. We think he doesn't have the

  433. wisdom to do anything with it. We think the Holy Ghost is not

  434. really our helper. We think he's just there to give

  435. us goosebumps. We don't really realize the Holy

  436. Ghost is really our comforter. We think we're supposed to worry

  437. about it. The Holy Ghost is your guide.

  438. He's your counselor. He's your comforter.

  439. He's your helper. He's the one that leads you and

  440. everything that you do. You shouldn't have any reason to

  441. worry at all. And you know, people like to

  442. say, well, I'm just worried about so and so.

  443. I'm just I'm just a little concerned.

  444. I just. I'm just concerned that they're

  445. not going to. Well then you are have 0 faith

  446. and and and people will get downright mad at you for telling

  447. you you shouldn't be worrying about something people will get

  448. upset at you for for rebuking you for your emotions.

  449. I found a scripture the other. Day.

  450. I wish I could remember where that was.

  451. That gave me permission to slap people and I need to find that.

  452. I think I said it in my Ki class it, but it literally said

  453. something about you ought to be happy about it.

  454. When I slap you and when I rebuke you, it was something

  455. like that. It was something along the lines

  456. as when when a friend or when a pastor or when a, you know, some

  457. spiritual person in your life, it just kind of, you know, hits

  458. you or wants to slap some sense into you that you ought to be

  459. happy about it. So there Psalms 18.

  460. Two says, the Lord is my rock and my fortress and my.

  461. Deliverer my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.

  462. My shield and the horn of my salvation and my stronghold.

  463. You know, he's a strong tower, and the Bible says the righteous

  464. run into him and they're safe, safe from all harm.

  465. From anything that could come to you, Psalm 62, eight, I'm just

  466. want to build you up in your trust a little bit.

  467. I just want to slap you though about your own reasoning.

  468. About your own understanding, and I also want and we'll either

  469. do at the end of service or you better do it when you leave here

  470. to take a minute and say, Lord, forgive me, forgive me for

  471. having my own plans. Forgive me for making my own

  472. way. Forgive me for reasoning things

  473. out in my mind. Forgive me for justifying my

  474. situation, because we do that. We justify our situation as to

  475. why we're going through it and whose fault it is.

  476. Let me keep reading. Trust in him at all times, you

  477. people. I feel like that's the way I

  478. want to say it. Trust in him at all times, you

  479. people. Pour out your heart before him.

  480. God is a refuge for us. Psalm 84, Psalm 84, Verse one.

  481. Let's read a few of the verses here.

  482. How lovely is your Tabernacle, O Lord of Hosts.

  483. My soul longs, yes, even faints, for the courts of my God, my

  484. heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

  485. Even the Sparrow has found a home, and the swallow and nest

  486. for herself, where she may lay her young.

  487. Even your altars, O Lord of Hosts, my king and my God,

  488. Blessed are those who dwell in your house.

  489. They will still be praising you. Blessed is the man whose

  490. strength is in you, whose heart is set on pilgrimage or God's

  491. way of doing things. As they pass through the valley

  492. of Baca, they make it a spring. The rain also covers it with

  493. pools, and they go from strength to strength.

  494. That means when they pass through a valley of weeping when

  495. you when yay. Though I walk through the valley

  496. of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.

  497. No evil. You know when you're walking

  498. through the valley of anything that the scripture says, it's

  499. just a shadow. I can see my shadow right there,

  500. but that's not really me right there on laying down on the

  501. carpet. Here I am.

  502. That's just a shadow. When you're walking through the

  503. valley of the shadow of death, it's not anything that can

  504. really take you out. As long as you keep your trust

  505. in him, as long as you keep your faith in him, Just go.

  506. Sometimes you ought to just say that's just a shadow.

  507. It's just a shadow. I'll fear nothing.

  508. I'm not going to fear anything. So it says that blessed is a man

  509. whose strength is in you, whose heart is set on God's way as

  510. they pass through the valley of. Weeping or or a valley of of of

  511. trial, of valley of testing. They make it a spring.

  512. The rain also covers it with pools.

  513. They go from strength to strength to strength.

  514. Each one of them appears before God and Zion, oh Lord God of

  515. Hosts. Hear my prayer.

  516. Give ear, O God of Jacob, oh God, behold our shield, and look

  517. upon the face of your anointed for a day in your courts is

  518. better than 1000 elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper

  519. in the House of my God than dwell in the tents of

  520. wickedness, for the Lord. God is a son and shield, and the

  521. Lord will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold

  522. from those who walk uprightly. Oh Lord of hosts, Blessed is the

  523. man that trusts in you. The Scripture Did y'all hear

  524. that the scripture says no. Good thing will he withhold?

  525. From those who walk uprightly from the inside out, can I say

  526. that from the inside out, no good thing is he going to

  527. withhold. From those who walk uprightly.

  528. Blessed is the man who trusts in you.

  529. You know you're going to have a lot more.

  530. You're going to experience a lot more victory, a lot more

  531. blessing, a lot more overcoming, a lot more things coming your

  532. way. If you'll just rest and trust,

  533. Come on. If you'll just have faith, you

  534. know the minute that you start getting worked up about

  535. something, you know it. Your blood pressure rises, your

  536. heart starts pumping, You start trying to figure things out on

  537. your own. You got to cut that out.

  538. You got to recognize the minute that you start doing that and

  539. go, No, no, no, no. I'm going to trust in God.

  540. He's faithful. He's never let me down.

  541. He'll always deliver me. He's my strong tower.

  542. He's everything to me. He's Jehovah Jireh.

  543. He's Jehovah Shalom. He's Jehovah Sid Canoe.

  544. He's every, every, whatever, whatever the rest of the

  545. Jehovah's are. He's everything that you need.

  546. I can't. Remember all of them.

  547. But he's everything that you need.

  548. He's everything. He's not lacking in anything.

  549. Not anything. You know, the scripture says

  550. goodness and mercy follows me all the days of my life.

  551. It follows you. Are you living like it follows

  552. you? Or are you trying to grab

  553. goodness on your own and grab provision on your own and grab

  554. things on your own? Or are you trusting that if I'll

  555. just stay seated right here, if I'll just stay in my position of

  556. rest and all those things will be added?

  557. All those things will be added. This is the fight right here.

  558. This If you can conquer this, you can conquer anything,

  559. anything. It won't matter what comes to

  560. you. Psalm 112, verses 7 and eight.

    Psalms 112:7

  561. He will not be afraid. This is talking about the

  562. righteous man. He will not be afraid of evil

  563. tidings you know you're not afraid of of an evil report

  564. coming to you. You're not afraid of a doctor's

  565. report coming to you. You're not afraid of a bill

  566. coming to you that you weren't expecting.

  567. You're not afraid of evil tidings.

  568. His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

  569. His heart is established, and he will not be afraid.

  570. How many times does the Scripture say even in the Old

  571. Testament? Fear not and be courageous.

  572. Be strong and be courageous. Fear not, do not fear.

  573. Do not be dismayed. Do not shrink back.

  574. Do not get weary. In well doing you can conquer

  575. anything. You can conquer this.

  576. Psalm 91. Psalm 91, I think Mr. David.

  577. May have found my slap scripture.

  578. Let's see. Is that what you sent me?

  579. Mr. David? Thank you.

  580. That might be it. Let the righteous smite me.

  581. It shall be a kindness, and let him reprove me.

  582. It shall be an excellent oil which shall not break my head

  583. for yet. My prayer also shall be in their

  584. calamities. Let the righteous smite me.

  585. That means let him. Let him reprove me as long as

  586. I'm speaking the truth in love. As long as your righteous

  587. brother or sister are speaking the truth in love, you ought to

  588. be excited about it. You ought to be happy about it,

  589. and if they have to slap you to get it through, then okay.

  590. All right. Psalm 91 He who dwells in the

  591. secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of

  592. the Almighty. Are you dwelling?

  593. Are you dwelling, I will say of the Lord.

  594. He is my refuge and my fortress, my God.

  595. In him I will trust. Surely he will deliver you from

  596. the snare of the Fowler, and from the perilous pestilence.

  597. He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings

  598. you shall take refuge. His truth shall be your shield

  599. and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the

  600. terror by night, nor the arrow that flies by day.

  601. Doesn't say you may not or please don't be.

  602. It says you shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor the

  603. arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that walks in the

  604. darkness, nor the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 1000

  605. may fall at your side, 10,000 at your right hand, but it will not

  606. come near you only with your eyes.

  607. You shall look and see the reward of the wicked, because

  608. you've made the Lord who is my refuge even the Most High your

  609. dwelling place. No evil shall befall you, nor

  610. shall any plague come near your dwelling.

  611. We just need to be encouraged in this tonight that you can trust

  612. in him at all times that the promises of God are Yes and

  613. Amen. That you shouldn't have any

  614. ounce of doubt or allow any ounce of fear to come into you.

  615. You know fear is a spirit. Fear is not just an emotion, it

  616. is a spirit. And when fear comes to you, you

  617. better recognize that spirit right away.

  618. And say I bind you up, you spirit of fear, you have no

  619. place for the Lord. God has given me love and a

  620. sound mind, power, love and a sound, sound mind.

  621. I'll not yield to the spirit of fear.

  622. And that, and that goes for anything that God's called you

  623. to do. If he's asked you to step out in

  624. faith in any area of your life, and you're letting fear hold you

  625. back, you better recognize it. And you better step out in fear

  626. and trust and step out in fear. Step out in faith and trust him.

  627. Trust him. It takes.

  628. You know, we listen to a message years ago by Keith Moore called

  629. no risk, no reward. Sometimes when you step out in

  630. faith, there's a risk. Involved, meaning you know, you

  631. got to leave your house, you got to leave sometimes your family,

  632. sometimes you got to step out from among those places.

  633. You know what he told Abraham? Leave your family and go to the

  634. land that I'm going to call you to.

  635. And sometimes coming out and leaving our family means coming

  636. out from the dysfunction of our family that we've been in,

  637. coming out from the the wrong thinking of our family that

  638. we've been around and being able to step back and go, OK, that

  639. wasn't right. And I realized that caused some

  640. kind of thought pattern. In my mind.

  641. But but the scripture breaks down every stronghold in Christ.

  642. I can destroy the strongholds that are built up in my mind.

  643. And you can and you got to take step of faith and step out and

  644. and do what God's called you to do.

  645. And don't let fear grip you because that fears a spirit.

  646. 1000 may fall at your side and 10,000 at your right hand, but

  647. it will not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you

  648. look and see the reward of the wicked, because you've made the

  649. Lord who is my refuge even the Most High your dwelling place.

  650. No evil shall befall you, and no plague shall come near your

  651. dwelling, for he shall give his angels charge over you to keep

  652. you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear

  653. you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

  654. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion

  655. and the serpent. You shall trample under foot,

  656. because he has set his love upon me.

  657. Therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high because

  658. he has known my name. He shall call upon me and I'll

  659. answer him. I will be with him in trouble.

  660. I will deliver him and honor him.

  661. He's saying this about you. I will deliver him and honor

  662. him, and with long life I will satisfy him and show him my

  663. salvation. Do you believe that?

  664. Do you. Do you believe that he's going

  665. to deliver you, that he's going to honor you, that he's going to

  666. give you long life, That he's going to show you his

  667. deliverance, his salvation in every circumstance of life?

  668. Isaiah 26, Three. You will keep him in perfect

  669. peace. Whose mind is stayed on him

  670. because he trusts in him, Because he trusts in you.

  671. Are you keeping your mind stayed on him?

  672. The minute we're talking about those critical minutes, we're

  673. talking about those pivotable moments when something comes at

  674. you. That's the moment.

  675. Are you going to say God, I'm going to keep my mind stayed on

  676. you, God, I'm not going to be moved.

  677. God, you're going to deliver me. God, you're my shield.

  678. God, you're my buckler. Father, you're my deliverer

  679. Father, you're the one that leads and guides me in the

  680. truth. My my feet will not slip. 1000

  681. will fall at my side, 10,000 in my right hand.

  682. It will not even come near me. It's.

  683. Got to be in you. You've got to believe it when

  684. you say it. You've got to have faith in it.

  685. Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd.

  686. I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green

  687. pastures. He leads me beside the still

  688. waters. He restores my soul.

  689. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's

  690. sake. Yeah.

  691. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.

  692. We just talked about this. I will fear no evil, for you are

  693. with me. Your rod and your staff, they

  694. comfort me. You prepare a table before me in

  695. the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, and

  696. my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall

  697. follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the

  698. House of the. Lord forever.

  699. Forever Proverbs 133 But the one who always listens to me will

  700. live undisturbed in a heavenly peace, free from fear, Confident

  701. and courageous, you will rest unafraid and sheltered from the

  702. storms of life. That is the passion translation

  703. of of Proverbs 133. Let me read it again.

  704. But the one who always listens to me will live undisturbed in a

  705. heavenly peace, free from fear, confident and courageous, you

  706. will rest unafraid and sheltered from the storms of life.

  707. Isaiah 4110. Fear not, for I am with you.

  708. Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

  709. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you.

  710. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

  711. Philippians, chapter 4, verses 4 through 90.

  712. Just listen and receive the scripture.

  713. I could just sit stand here and just read scripture the rest of

  714. the time. And and something on the inside

  715. of you should be going. Yeah.

  716. Yes, Yes. Say it again.

  717. Give me more. Say it to me again.

  718. That's what should be. It's going off in this, in your

  719. spirit, on the Inside Philippians, Chapter 4, verses 4

    Philippians 4:4–9

  720. through 9 in the Passion translation.

  721. Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of

  722. life. Let joy overflow, for you are

  723. united with the Anointed one. Let gentleness be seen in every

  724. relationship, for our Lord is ever near.

  725. Don't be pulled in different directions or worried about a

  726. thing. Be saturated in prayer

  727. throughout each day, offering your faith filled request before

  728. God with overflowing gratitude. Tell Him every detail of your

  729. life. Then God's wonderful peace that

  730. transcends human understanding will make the answers known to

  731. you through Jesus Christ. So keep your thoughts

  732. continually fixed on all that is authentic and real and honorable

  733. and. Admirable, beautiful and

  734. respectful. Pure and holy, merciful and

  735. kind, and fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God,

  736. praising him. Always follow the example that

  737. we all have imparted to you, and the God of peace will be with

  738. you in all things. In all things you have to ask

  739. yourself tonight. And that is my cry.

  740. That is my call to you tonight. You have to ask yourself, have I

  741. been leaning too much? To my own understanding, can I

  742. easily quote Proverbs chapter 3? But it is Is it an actual

    Proverbs 3 chapter mention

  743. reality in my life? The Bible says many are the

  744. plans in a man's. Heart.

  745. But it's the Lord's purpose that prevails.

  746. Commit your way, the Bible says. Commit your way unto him, and

  747. he'll make your path straight. I just want to make sure that

  748. we've we've all, and we are consistently all casting the

  749. weight of our cares on the Lord that we're not carrying the the,

  750. the sin that so easily entangles us, the weights, the burdens,

  751. the cares of life. You know, you can just be

  752. weighed down with the cares of life.

  753. The scripture says that he came to heal every part of you, every

  754. part of you, every broken part, every dysfunctional part.

  755. Everything that's in you. That's anxious.

  756. That's not right. That needs mending, that needs

  757. healing. That's what he does.

  758. And I just want us to make a mental shift and a spiritual

  759. shift tonight where we say I'm going to not anymore.

  760. Lean on my own understanding, on my own thoughts, On my own way.

  761. On my own list, on my own discernment that I'm going to be

  762. a mature believer. Maturity that this body, we can

  763. be a body where we are in unity. I said this a couple of Sundays

  764. ago. Listen, if we can get in Unity,

  765. not just here but in our homes, you're saying the same thing I'm

  766. saying, and I'm saying the same thing.

  767. You're saying that we're all on the same page.

  768. Speaking the word of God, taking dominion in our mind for the

  769. battle that we fight is not carnal, it's not fleshly, it's

  770. not anything in the scene. You cannot put your eyes or your

  771. focus on anything that you see. You're you're.

  772. The scripture says to be heavenly minded is life and

  773. peace, life and peace for you. And I just want us to make the

  774. shift that we're going to say, you know, God delivered me.

  775. He brought me out of darkness, He brought me out of of drugs.

  776. He brought me out of dysfunction.

  777. He brought me out of all kinds of stuff.

  778. But you know, I've gotten a little bit into trusting my own

  779. way, trusting my own plan, worrying about what's said in

  780. front of me. And I want us as Pastor Marcus

  781. plays, I want us just to make an honest assessment.

  782. Listen, today is the day of salvation, which means today's

  783. the day of deliverance in every area, every area of your life.

  784. And if you know there's something that you've trusted in

  785. your your own strength, you've trusted in your own arm.

  786. Remember, Jeremiah said, Cursed is the man who trust in his own

  787. strength his own arm, But blessed is the one who trusts in

  788. the Lord. That man will be like the tree

  789. planted by the streams of water. And drought can come and heat

  790. can come, and trials can come and anything can come to you.

  791. But how are you going to respond?

  792. And I just want us to ask the question.

  793. The Holy Ghost have I been reasoning in my mind?

  794. Oh, Father, we open our hearts to you, and we ask the question,

  795. Lord, if I've been reasoning in my mind, I repent.

  796. If I've been trusting in my own way and my own strength, and

  797. encumbered about with many, many.

  798. Things. We repent.

  799. If you need to come down to the altar and repent, do it.

  800. Do it. Don't let fear grip you.

  801. Don't let anxiety grip you. Don't let justification in your

  802. mind grip you. Just come down here and repent
