  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. All right, Hallelujah.

  4. We've got, you know, we're going to have other people, you know,

  5. coming in and they're going to miss it.

  6. That's OK. You know, hopefully we can get

  7. this one online like we did the last one because this is, this

  8. is pretty important. I, I shared with you guys as far

  9. as when I did the management, management messed up some folk,

  10. I guess when we did that in a particular lesson, and

  11. especially when I took it up to Valdosta, I had had it refined

  12. by then, OK, 'cause you guys were the first guys to get it.

  13. Then the second people to get it was Ki and then I took it to

  14. Valdosta and I knew what I was doing then, right?

  15. OK, well, you're getting a first, you're getting a second

  16. tonight because I haven't taken this to Valdosta.

  17. But I tell you what, we're going to go ahead and pray.

  18. I want you to listen intently, OK?

  19. Because the things that I'm going to talk about, I have

  20. never heard a teaching on, OK. But it is so important for the

  21. Kingdom for us to understand this, where we're headed in the

  22. Kingdom and where we're headed as a church and where we're

  23. headed as, as business people. OK.

  24. So let's have a word of prayer and then I'm going to get

  25. started. You all heard the subject

  26. before, but I don't think we've studied it out together as we're

  27. going to do tonight. Father, we thank you and we

  28. praise you for the opportunity to come together again.

  29. And, and Lord, we never want to take it for granted that you've

  30. given us a country to live in, that we don't have any fear

  31. whatsoever about coming and, and sharing the, the good news of

  32. the Kingdom and the different principles and laws that you

  33. have in there that govern, govern how the Kingdom operates.

  34. And sometimes when we don't. See the things that we think

  35. we're supposed to see according to scripture.

  36. It just takes the time for us to re evaluate the principles that

  37. you set in to law basically. For the Kingdom and how we're

  38. supposed to operate in it. So again, it'll be a night, I

  39. think, Lord of just self evaluation again and and and

  40. find out where we are in relationship relationship to

  41. where we're at. So we give you thanks in advance

  42. for the outcome tonight and we thank you in Jesus name, Amen.

  43. When I taught just a couple of months ago and we talked about

  44. management and you know, there was some things that the Lord

  45. was giving me. And and if you'll remember some

  46. of the stories that I gave early on about management that the

  47. Lord helped me get an understanding of how important

  48. it is, you know, to manage and what people are looking for in

  49. the earth is good managers. Well, there's another subject

  50. that the Lord has just started dealing with me on, and it is a

  51. subject of covetousness. And so tonight I'm going to

  52. break this word down and we're going to break down the

  53. scriptures, not unlike when we talked about management that,

  54. you know, that one month we talked about management and in

  55. the management, we talked about all the scriptures and, and,

  56. and, and I didn't even list them.

  57. I didn't even go into them and we may do that at another time

  58. completely, but when we talked about management, if you'll take

  59. every time Jesus told a parable about finance or about money, it

  60. was all on how the people were managing.

  61. OK. And so when we talk about, I

  62. think it's interesting. Because the first scripture then

  63. I'm going to just jot down Mark Chapter 7.

    Mark 7 chapter mention

  64. And I'm going to give you a kind of a prelim before I get into

  65. the the verses that I want to go over.

  66. But this particular account was the Pharisees came to Jesus and

  67. they were talking to Jesus and they're always trying to get him

  68. on something. Have you figured that out that

  69. every time they open their mouth, it was not going to be

  70. good and they were always going to try him, trap him in

  71. something. Well, this particular day, they

  72. were asking the questions because they said, why do your

  73. disciples All right, eat food without washing your hands, like

  74. the traditions and, and, and Jesus, you know, was talking to

  75. him about that. He said, listen, you know, while

  76. I'm with them and the different things that, you know, he

  77. discussed, but it said the disciples came in, they said,

  78. tell us what you were meaning by that.

  79. And and when you get to the 21st, 21st verse of Mark Chapter

    Mark 7 chapter mention

  80. 7, he's telling them this. He said from for from within,

  81. out of the heart men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries,

  82. fornications, murders. Verse 22, thes the word

  83. covetousness. And and I'm going into a deep

  84. description of that wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness and evil

  85. eye, blasphemy, pride and and foolishness.

  86. He said all these things come from within and defile a man.

  87. See, they were thinking, man, these guys aren't washing their

  88. hands while they're eat, so they're defiled.

  89. He said no, it's not the stuff that goes in that defiles them,

  90. It's the stuff that comes out and he tells you where it's

  91. coming out and what it's about. Well, all the things that I just

  92. listed that defile a man, OK, are things that people spend a

  93. lot of time thinking about. You just don't wake up and think

  94. I'm gonna murder somebody, OK? That's not usually not a

  95. thought. Even though with the worst

  96. criminals there's something, some altercation or something

  97. that basically, you know, precedes that.

  98. But it, it talked about wickedness and deceit and the

  99. evil eye and blasphemies and pride.

  100. He said all these things. Come out of a man.

  101. Well, one of those things that he mentioned and Jesus has given

  102. us a pretty complete list of the things that really can mess us

  103. up. And one of those was the word

  104. covetousness. Now we think about, you know, we

  105. think about covetousness, but I want to give you the definitions

  106. of it, OK, in the Greek language, and you can write this

  107. down, it is the Greek word. Play on Nexia, PLEOPLEONEXIA,

  108. all right, now we can change. The word covetous.

  109. Now to the word greed, because that is the definition.

  110. And, and from here, we're going to talk about, we're going to

  111. talk about greed in, in certain fashion.

  112. But then there's another word. And I didn't know what this word

  113. meant, so I had to look it up. It is the word avarice.

  114. OK, Avarice. It's spelled AVARICE.

  115. Avarice. This is what the word avarice

  116. means. If you look it up in your

  117. dictionary it says it's a insatiable desire.

  118. Insatiable desire for money or riches.

  119. I put the word unsatisfiable desire for money or riches, so

  120. Jesus has. Given us a warning here in just

  121. a minute. I'm going to read it where he

  122. gave a warning because this is one sentence you need to write

  123. down. Covetousness or greed?

  124. Or an unsatisfiable desire for money is forbidden in the

  125. Kingdom of God. OK, now if you remember you took

  126. a very, very long definition for management, let me give you the

  127. the. Size or smaller version.

  128. Now, all right, when we talk about management, it is the

  129. expected and correct use of another person's resources or

  130. property. Good management is only realized

  131. by producing an added value back to the person who owns it.

  132. And we established in that lesson who owns it.

  133. Does he own everything or just the 10% Everything.

  134. So you, whatever you have, he owns all right by right of

  135. creation, all right. And he tells us that, yes, he

  136. wants 10% for us to dedicate to the ministry, but he owns the

  137. other 90. And that's really where the test

  138. starts. Are we listening?

  139. Because he may have given us something even in the form of,

  140. you know, when people tell me. And then I got a bonus.

  141. I wonder why you got that bonus. You know, are you listening on

  142. why you got that bonus? Because there may be something

  143. God allowed you to have that bonus.

  144. Remember, we talked about tithing at one time and, and,

  145. and I, I haven't taught it here. I'll probably teach it in the

  146. next couple months. But when we talk about the the

  147. tithe, it says that God will open the winds of heaven pours

  148. out a blessing that would not have room enough to receive it,

  149. and he'd rebuke the devourer. In other words, my translation

  150. of that was when we tithe, God is saying, listen, if you'll

  151. take care of what you can take care of and that I've given to

  152. you, all right, I'll take care of the things you can't.

  153. So when you get that bonus, you may have deserved that bonus,

  154. but in the end of it, you didn't have the power to write yourself

  155. that check or EFT, whatever you got, right?

  156. All right, so when we look at the definition here of greed or

  157. avarice, here's the definition of greed and listen to how

  158. interesting it is compared to the definition of management

  159. greed. Is the mismanagement of

  160. resources or property for one's personal benefit.

  161. In other words, whenever greed shows up, there's only one

  162. person that it's aimed at and it's the person that has it.

  163. They're thinking about what can I do to get this?

  164. What can I do to get that? All right.

  165. Now, if you'll take a look at that, you know, greed being the

  166. mismanagement of resources, a greedy spirit.

  167. Here's the deal. A greedy spirit will always

  168. manipulate so that you can become the person with the

  169. ultimate benefit. So you know, when you try it

  170. like I, I, how many people that I've visited with that have

  171. tried to make certain deals happen or by twisting something

  172. or getting something that lets me know what spirit they're

  173. working with because it can benefit them.

  174. All right. And, and, and, and again, I've

  175. had, I've had certain companies that I worked with.

  176. I had one large company years ago, big company and and and and

  177. probably a half $1,000,000 account a year.

  178. And, and all of a sudden we lost them.

  179. So that was who that was a that was a drop.

  180. OK, Couple years later, get an e-mail and one of the people

  181. that we did business with in there said, we want you to tell

  182. us what it's going to take to come back.

  183. And I said, well, tell me what happened.

  184. And they said, well, we found out that the buyers, a couple of

  185. the buyers that were using this new company were taking money

  186. under the table. As a kickback.

  187. And when we found out about it, obviously we fired them because

  188. that's not how we want to do business.

  189. So let us know and they they came back and they're still with

  190. us. All right.

  191. But The thing is that, you know, when you see people that you

  192. have to do business with that are doing the underhanded

  193. things, you know, you're dealing with a spirit of greed.

  194. You know, you're dealing with spirit of covetiousness, all

  195. right? You want to make sure you don't

  196. do that, all right? Now, we've gone over this

  197. scripture before. It's Luke chapter 12.

    Luke 12 chapter mention

  198. I want to go there again and we're going to start in verse

  199. 13, Luke chapter 12, verse 13. And it says one of the companies

    Luke 12:13

  200. said unto him, Master, speak to my brother that he may divide

  201. the inheritance with me. And he said unto him, Man who

  202. made me a judge or a divider over you?

  203. And he looked at everybody that was standing around listening to

  204. this. And he says, take heed.

  205. Anytime you see the words, take heed.

  206. You know what you need to do, Take heed, right?

  207. All right, you need to pay attention because the next

  208. things that Jesus is going to say or Paul's going to say when

  209. they say take heed is going to be extremely important.

  210. Now listen to what he said, take heed and beware of covetousness.

  211. For a man's life consists not of the abundance of the things

  212. which he possesses. All right here in is why the

  213. prosperity message is so skewed because people equate prosperity

  214. by the things that you possess. Now hopefully in this church we

  215. have destroyed that, OK, because we define the word prosper.

  216. It is not what you have. It is not what you can get.

  217. It's not what you can amount amass to yourself.

  218. Prosperity in its simplest form means to have help on the road.

  219. OK, by definition in both Hebrew and Greek.

  220. So when he tells us in there, Jesus said listen, beware of

  221. covetousness. The word beware in the original

  222. language it means to be on. Guard or to keep?

  223. From being snatched away. So it sounds like to me that

  224. money and the things and accumulation can be a trap.

  225. Because he says be on guard, pay attention, all right?

  226. Pay attention to those things he said and keep from being

  227. snatched away. He's saying beware of

  228. covetousness, beware of greed. You know, the whole thing about

  229. entrapment being trapped. All right?

  230. Many of you all have heard, you know, my testimony.

  231. And this absolutely blows my mind on being offended, OK?

  232. And what it cost me cost me 10 years, all right.

  233. And when I, you know, when you get offended and you, you're not

  234. paying attention to the Bible, you're paying attention to your

  235. emotions, all right, you're upset because somebody did you

  236. wrong. And, and you know, and, and you

  237. know, you, you just can't seem to get over it.

  238. There's a book written called the Bait of Satan.

  239. All right, We go through it in school, all right, talking about

  240. the fact that there's going to be opposition, there's going to

  241. be people that are offended. But what blows my mind is when

  242. we have people in this church, then all of a sudden they, they,

  243. they went to Kingdom Institute and graduated.

  244. I saw them walk the stage, remember one side to the other

  245. with Pastor Earl and Marcy with their diploma.

  246. And then I don't see them for a while.

  247. And I just happened to ask somebody.

  248. We're so and so and they go, oh, they got offended and left.

  249. See, that absolutely blows my mind.

  250. How can that even happen when you've given them the

  251. illustrations and you've pointed out how in the world could you

  252. ever think of being offended? Well, that same kind of trap is

  253. also in the arena of money that sometimes we get involved in

  254. things and we get involved in in.

  255. Thinking a little more than we need to be thinking, you know,

  256. about money and about finances. But Jesus was very clear.

  257. Now let's go over the parable again that Jesus told on this He

  258. said, Beware of covetousness for a man's life, beware of greed,

  259. beware of avarice, OK? For a man's life does not

  260. consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.

  261. Now go to verse 16. And he spoke a parable unto

  262. them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth

  263. plentifully. And he said, And he thought

  264. within himself, What shall I do? Because I have no room where for

  265. to to bestow my fruits. And he said, this will I do, I

  266. will put down, I will pull down my barns and I'll build greater,

  267. and there I will bestow my fruits and my goods.

  268. And he will And I said, I will say to my soul, so you have much

  269. goods laid up for many years. Take thine ease, eat, drink and

  270. be merry. But God said unto him, You're a.

  271. Fool. This night your soul will be

  272. required of you. And he said, then whose things

  273. shall those be which you have provided?

  274. And verse 21, we've gone over this so many times.

  275. He said, so is he that layeth up treasure for himself and is not

  276. rich toward God. That's a King James, a better

  277. translation of that last phrase. It says so.

  278. He is he that lays up treasure for himself, but is not becoming

  279. rich. For.

  280. God all right, why would we want to become rich for God?

  281. Think of a parable, another parable.

  282. How about the talents? Can you remember that the

  283. nobleman he gave the the the king, the nobleman, he gave them

  284. the talents gave 1512 and one one all right.

  285. And they did what they went and traded with those and they made

  286. double. That was the the key for them

  287. double. And when he came and he reckoned

  288. with him, he said, look master the the five you gave me, we've

  289. turned into another five. Who's he becoming rich for?

  290. The king, because why it was the King's king gave it to him, told

  291. him what to do. 2 of them did it, the other one didn't and got

  292. the label wicked and slothful or lazy or unrighteous.

  293. Because he didn't do anything with it.

  294. All right, So he when he's telling us in here, he said,

  295. listen, don't be like that guy because you can go through this

  296. whole passage. I have it in my Bible in there

  297. because every time you see the word I OK in verse the verse 17

  298. he said, what shall I do? Because I have no room to bestow

  299. my fruit. Then he said this will I do I

  300. will pull down my barns and bill greater.

  301. Therefore I will bestow all my fruits and goods.

  302. Then I will say to my soul, soul, you have much goods laid

  303. up for many years. Take thine easy, eat, drink and

  304. be merry. So someone that is covetous is

  305. always thinking about. Who I all right themselves.

  306. So that's what you have to be careful of.

  307. When you hear people talking, what are they talking about?

  308. All right, what are they doing? Let's go over to Matthew 6.

  309. Let's one. More time Take a look at what

  310. Jesus said. Because this guy laid up

  311. treasure for himself. He laid up his goods for

  312. himself, correct? Jesus told us not.

  313. To do that. In verse 19.

  314. Everybody ought to have this highlighted in their Bible, I

  315. swear. Or put it on their put it on

  316. their their refrigerator. OK, verse 19 lay not up for

  317. yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rest does corrupt

  318. and thieves breakthrough and steal.

  319. But rather he tells you where. But lay up for yourselves

  320. treasures in heaven, whether neither moth nor rest does

  321. corrupt, and where thieves do not breakthrough and steal.

  322. He said for where your treasure is, there will your heart be

  323. also. This is a 6th chapter of

  324. Matthew. That's a verse 21.

  325. Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

  326. All right then he goes on and he says the light of the body is

  327. the eye. If therefore thine eye be

  328. single, your whole body is full of light.

  329. Verse 23 If your eye be evil, the whole body will be full of

  330. darkness. If therefore thy light that is

  331. in thee is darkness, how great is that darkness?

  332. Verse 24 No man can serve 2 masters, for either hate the one

  333. and love the other, or he will hold to the one and despise the

  334. other. Here's the phrase, You cannot

  335. serve God and Mammon. Now you know what I think's

  336. interesting about that? He did not say you cannot serve

  337. God and the devil. So I think he's telling us

  338. there's something that's more powerful in the lives of humans

  339. than the devil. Especially after Jesus totally

  340. defeated him. Everybody's afraid of the devil,

  341. but he's defeated. He told us that, but he's

  342. telling us when it comes to serving.

  343. There's only two You either serve Him, you serve God, or you

  344. can serve money. We see it happen all the time.

  345. I've seen it in this church. I've had conversation.

  346. Let me know exactly what they're serving.

  347. All right, I've got a few things.

  348. Does anybody remember years ago? Pastor, this is probably 2010 if

  349. I'm not mistaken and he did this series.

  350. It was called Seeing Green. And he was talking about that

  351. and he. Did a little spoof.

  352. Off of everybody know Jeff Foxworthy and you know if you

  353. want to be a redneck, you ever heard those like you know if

  354. you're mowing your grass and you find a car, you might be a

  355. redneck, right? Well, pastor came up with a few

  356. when and he called it. You might have a problem with

  357. money. OK, well, I came up with a few

  358. that might let you know who you are the servant of.

  359. Are you ready? Let me count them 1234.

  360. I just got five. Listen to this.

  361. I want you to tell me. And if you're guilty, just look

  362. straight ahead. If you know the person behind

  363. you is guilty, look straight ahead.

  364. OK, don't turn around, right, But this is going to equip you

  365. to know those that you interact with with in our body and the

  366. error that they're getting ready to find themselves in.

  367. Listen to this if you spend most of your time.

  368. Coming up or thinking of ways to make more money then you are a

  369. servant of money Now did you hear me if you spend most of

  370. your time coming up with or thinking of ways to make.

  371. More money you are serving of money if most of your

  372. conversations are focused on your latest deals, contracts,

  373. profits. If most of your conversations

  374. are focused on the latest deals, contracts are probably you are a

  375. servant of money. If I can't get with you and talk

  376. about the things of the Kingdom and all you want to let me know

  377. is, hey, we got this deal. We got this deal.

  378. This is what we're doing it. Yeah.

  379. I I. I'm going to be interested in

  380. knowing that, but sooner or later we need to talk about

  381. something else a little more important.

  382. Be cautious about getting involved in those type of

  383. conversations. Here's the next one.

  384. If you are constantly coming up with and researching ideas that

  385. could make more money, you might be a servant of money.

  386. If that's all you spend your time doing.

  387. You're saying you know, or you hear the latest thing or you're

  388. you know, you hear it. You hear it all the time.

  389. If you are on social media, you hear everybody that can make 7-8

  390. figures. All right, and how to do it and

  391. how to do it fast and the whole bit.

  392. If you spend your time looking into those things and spending

  393. more time studying those things and getting into those things,

  394. you are a servant of money. OK, If you'd rather be working

  395. at the job or your business than being in church, you are a

  396. servant of money. Here's the last one if you don't

  397. have time to spend. In the word and prayer because

  398. you need to be at work you or a servant of money if you don't

  399. have time for the things of God, you've already told us, you

  400. know, if you're not interested in serving in the local church,

  401. you've already told us if all you want to talk about is money

  402. or the next idea or the next thing coming or what's going on,

  403. you are serving the money all right.

  404. That's why, you know, years ago we used to have what we called

  405. home groups and, and the thing was, is that I'd hosted.

  406. A couple of them. And I tell you what, I got tired

  407. of them real quick, you know, cuz all we sat around and talked

  408. about was football. And I like football like the

  409. next guy. OK, no problem.

  410. Even my grandchildren are now asking Papa tell us about

  411. football. OK, watching.

  412. This OK, but it's not my life you know I I when I get together

  413. I love sitting down and talking about things of the Spirit.

  414. Now you know why all of those are important to me because I

  415. can raise both hand and say I'm guilty.

  416. Every one of them because I went back in my mind and, and, and

  417. conversations that I've had and how much emphasis.

  418. That I put and and I even eluded last month.

  419. I was talking about it, the message that pastor was

  420. preaching and and he and, and then he came here and he did

  421. one, he wanted to kick the year off and, and have, you know,

  422. opportunity to visit with the business people.

  423. And, you know, and made the comment, He said, if your goal

  424. basically is to make money so you can give more to the gospel,

  425. that's not that. That's a wrong goal.

  426. And it bothered. Me because that's a man, that's

  427. what I'm about and I had to re evaluate my about because my

  428. relationship with God and how I'm pleasing him, all right, and

  429. seeking him first and his Kingdom and his righteousness.

  430. All these things will be added so I don't have to worry about,

  431. OK, what's the next business deal I'm going to get so I get

  432. some more money put in the account here at the church.

  433. That's not the motive is what I'm saying.

  434. It should not be your motivation.

  435. All right, yes, we, if we're going to be, if we're going to,

  436. you know, become rich when he tells us how not to do it.

  437. All right, with that one guy that he was he he became wealthy

  438. and he started storing stuff up. And she said don't do that.

  439. Don't be storing stuff up for yourself.

  440. He said, store up things in heaven.

  441. Now I've taught this before because how you store things up

  442. in heaven is found in Mark chapter 10 and and and and a few

    Mark 10 chapter mention

  443. other just a few other places. But it's a story about the rich

  444. young. Ruler.

  445. And he came and most people from the stage, we had a guy one time

  446. that was talking about finance and stuff and he was going to

  447. that scripture and he was going to quote it.

  448. And I just, I said to myself, and he's going to leave one

  449. phrase out. Sure enough he did because

  450. everybody does. But when he says in there, he

  451. said, the rich young ruler came to him, you remember, And he

  452. said, keep the commandments. And he said, I've kept all these

  453. from my youth. Now I love it In Mark 10 it

  454. says, and Jesus beholding him, loved him.

  455. He said, But one thing you lack. Now you've heard me say it.

  456. I just wish I only had one thing when you feel good.

  457. If it was only one thing, just tell me the one thing.

  458. Don't Jesus. He'd get mine and it'd be like a

  459. scroll. Roll that thing out of all them

  460. things. He.

  461. Needs me to fix but he said one thing you lack go and and take

  462. what you have. Sell it.

  463. Give to the poor then you will have riches in heaven and come

  464. take up your cross and follow me.

  465. Most people leave out there. Then you will have riches in

  466. heaven. They leave that part out.

  467. What do they say? They say, well, go sell what you

  468. have. Give to the poor, take up your

  469. cross, Come follow me. That's exactly how they quote

  470. it. Next time you hear somebody want

  471. to quote that, let's see what? And they're quoting it, not

  472. reading it. You, you, you tell me if they if

  473. they put in there, then you will have riches in heaven.

  474. Jesus telling us as we give to the poor, we consider those that

  475. are, you know, maybe needing a little finance and maybe needing

  476. something. If we consider them, every time

  477. we give to them, we are putting money in the bank in heaven.

  478. OK, now here's the deal. When we get there, we won't need

  479. it. So that means that there's a way

  480. that we must be able to, excuse me, withdraw here where we need

  481. it. There's no American currency.

  482. Everybody know that, right? In heaven.

  483. You know that, right? I mean.

  484. I, I, we don't know how to get there.

  485. If it did, and if he decided he'd start printing his own,

  486. it'd be counterfeit. So there ain't none up there,

  487. all right. But we need that.

  488. We need to take a look at the fact where Jesus said this.

  489. Listen. You can't serve the two masters.

  490. You can, you can, you can serve me or you can serve money.

  491. And there wasn't nothing in between.

  492. So when you, you see people talking about all those

  493. different things and they're not really talking about the Kingdom

  494. of God. They're not really talking about

  495. the things that matter and what's going on in people's

  496. lives and those that are getting the revelation of who Jesus is

  497. in the lordship of Christ and being water baptized and all

  498. those different things that the Kingdom is made-up of.

  499. If you're not focused on those things, you really got to ask a

  500. question, where me where, Where am I standing right now in the

  501. Kingdom of God? Where do I stand?

  502. What category do I stand in? Am IA servant of God or am IA

  503. servant of the finances? Or the job.

  504. All right, Hebrews chapter 13. Jot this one down and listen to

    Hebrews 13 chapter mention

  505. this careful because. The the the.

  506. Barriers that Jesus wants us to have toward greed and

  507. covetousness but in Hebrews chapter 13 verse five and six.

    Hebrews 13 chapter mention

  508. Let it let let's look at what he says he said let your

  509. conversation be without covetousness and be content with

  510. what things that you have for he said I will never leave you or

  511. forsake you that we may boldly say that the Lord is my helper

  512. helper and I will not fear what man shall do to me.

  513. The words without covetousness. He tells us right here, he said.

  514. Let your conversation. All right, when we hear the word

  515. conversation, we usually think about what we're talking about.

  516. The word conversation in the original language is the word

  517. manner of lifestyle. It's how are you?

  518. Living. What are people seeing when

  519. you're living? He said.

  520. Let your conversation be without covetousness.

  521. All right? That Greek word basically is is

  522. the the word a Phil or guras? OK, a Phil or Guras?

  523. It's a Phil. And ARGUROS.

  524. I'll spell it again. APHILARGUROS.

  525. It's a compound Greek word. Phil comes from Philo, meaning

  526. love. Or affection.

  527. OK, the word arguras is the word in the Greek for silver.

  528. All right, so greed or covetousness can be described

  529. with people that have a love for money or love at the end.

  530. Silver. This particular word has an A in

  531. front of it which it. Reverses it.

  532. So that's why he said without covetousness.

  533. All right, He said. Do not, he said.

  534. Do not let your conversation, do not let your manner of life, do

  535. not let yourself be pulled into conversations or manner of

  536. lifestyle. That all you're looking for?

  537. Is money OK? And he said why?

  538. He said because he said be content and I like it.

  539. Because the word. Content doesn't mean, you know,

  540. just put up with it. You know, it's it.

  541. You know there's nothing you can do about it.

  542. No, basically the word content says I am not moved by my

  543. circumstances. That's what the word means.

  544. I'm totally separated from my circumstances.

  545. They don't affect me. Where I am financially right now

  546. does not affect me, He said, and he said be content with such

  547. things as you have for the Lord says, notice I will never leave

  548. you or forsake you. What does that tell you?

  549. If you go with the prosperity word, you're going to have help

  550. on the road. It's good to know who's with you

  551. to help you. He is everything that you have

  552. need of. There's not one thing he said

  553. that you'll go without. And if so many people are trying

  554. to get their own arms, Jesus, Jesus tells us that all through

  555. those parables. All right in that.

  556. And the Father even told us in Deuteronomy chapter 8, he said,

    Deuteronomy 8 chapter mention

  557. listen, don't come to a place when you get blessed, that you

  558. say my arm and my power has got me this wealth.

  559. For it is he that has given you the power to get wealth all

  560. right, that he may establish his covenant, which he swore into

  561. your Father's. All right, he tells us that, but

  562. in in Hebrews he said that we may he said that I will never

  563. leave you or forsake you. It's interesting.

  564. Everybody says, well, Jesus said I'll never leave you or forsake

  565. you. And we quote that all the time.

  566. In fact, you got it on T-shirts. You got it on kind of stuff.

  567. But what in context is he talking about?

  568. He's talking about you and money.

  569. He said, are you greedy? He said you don't need to be

  570. greedy, you need to be content. You need to be a stepping aside

  571. from your circumstances financially and know he's going

  572. to take care of what you need. He promised that anybody

  573. remember Matthew 633 seek first the Kingdom of God and his

  574. righteousness and all these things will be added to you.

  575. So therefore you can go and say the Lord is my helper and I will

  576. not fear what man shall do to me.

  577. You know, you can replace that what man shall do to me and you

  578. can put in there IRSI mean, you know, I I basically, I've I've

  579. been everywhere you can be with the IRS.

  580. I've been there audits, probably three or four of them over the

  581. last 40 years. You know, different situations

  582. where I've had to talk to the revenue officer and and that's

  583. what I call them. I even got one on speed dial

  584. and, and any question that I have or any, she calls me back

  585. and I'm thinking she's a good person to have on the team.

  586. Oh, there's no doubt because you know, when you running into some

  587. things and and going on, I'm telling you what I want to call

  588. somebody that you know, can find out real fast and it's good to

  589. have one. But he says, Hey, listen, I'll

  590. not fear what man shall. Do to me so as we take a look

  591. at. The next one in there that this

  592. is a requirement if you ever wanted to be in church and you

  593. wanna be a leader, and I would pray that everybody would have.

  594. Some type of area that they could show leadership over.

  595. But did you know that being covetousness, Being a person of

  596. covetousness is basically it is it is.

  597. It is a taboo. You shouldn't even you shouldn't

  598. even be considered in leadership if you haven't got your money

  599. thing fixed out figured out because hating.

  600. Covetousness was a requirement of being a leader in the church.

  601. Let me give you a few scriptures.

  602. Exodus chapter 18. This is a story.

    Exodus 18 chapter mention

  603. When Moses is coming, he's leading the children to Israel.

  604. And his father in law's on the way to meet him.

  605. He's got his wife and his children with her or with them.

  606. And they show up and they have a big party and they're excited to

  607. see each other. This is the 18th chapter of

  608. Exodus. And the next morning, Moses

  609. pulls out his little desk out of his tent, sets it under under

  610. his little awning. And he puts his little desk

  611. plate on there, says Pastor Moses.

  612. And he said. And the people begin to line up

  613. by twos. As far.

  614. As the eye can see, you know how I know that anytime you get 6

  615. million people, 3 million people unborn again in one place,

  616. you're going to have some problems.

  617. And so he would he would, he'd take them, come on up, what's

  618. the deal? They tell him, well, they did

  619. this or they did that and he would judge the people and he'd

  620. say This is why this is what God said.

  621. This is why you're wrong. You're right whole bit.

  622. And you know, and then people leave next to come up, right?

  623. And you know how things go. I mean, what?

  624. What's going to happen? Them two guys that just left are

  625. going to go back past that line again and see somebody else they

  626. got a problem with. So them two going to go get back

  627. in line. And this thing is never ending.

  628. Well, Jethro, his father-in-law says, what are you doing?

  629. And he goes, well, everybody comes to see me.

  630. And he said, you're standing here from evening, from morning

  631. to evening, every day judging these people.

  632. And he goes, yeah, because I'm the only one we got.

  633. And he said, well, the thing you're doing is not good.

  634. You're going to wear out and you're going to wear the people

  635. out. Now think about it.

  636. We get wore out standing in line for 45 minutes and anywhere, I

  637. mean, two hour wait, trying to get into a restaurant.

  638. I mean, you know, you can imagine these people standing in

  639. the heat of the day all day. And he said, listen, I'm going

  640. to give you some advice. Right and he goes on, he goes on

  641. to give him the advice and that one of the last part of the vice

  642. is found in verse 21. He said, moreover, you shall

  643. provide out of all the people able men such as fear God, men

  644. of truth, haters of covetousness and place them over to be rulers

  645. of thousands, hundreds, 50s and 10s.

  646. So one of the requirements to become a judge, that's what he

  647. was doing, is he's given the under.

  648. Courts, he was creating them. All right, Bible tells us

  649. another place where, you know, Moses was crying out saying,

  650. man, you know, these people have absolutely lost their minds.

  651. You know, they, I, I cannot handle them myself alone.

  652. He comes with the great revelation and the Lord picks

  653. out 70 to help him. Now, to me, 70 out of 3 million

  654. ain't that much. Right.

  655. But he tells him he anoints them with the same anointing he had.

  656. But he said they had to be haters of covetous.

  657. Why? Because they couldn't be

  658. susceptible to a bribe. That was the main thing.

  659. OK, now we get into the New Testament.

  660. Paul's writing to. Timothy, he said if you want to

  661. have bishops or you want to have deacons come in your church,

  662. notice what he said in verse 3. This is first Timothy 33.

  663. He said not give into wine. Not a striker, not.

  664. Greedy. A filthy lucre.

  665. OK, so he tells him, Hey, listen, we're not, we're not

  666. going to have, we're not going to have the filthy lucre, you

  667. know, part going on in, in our, our churches and filthy lucre,

  668. basically. It's a real, real long word in

  669. the Greek, but it means eager for base gain or greedy for

  670. money, he said. As you're not going to have it,

  671. not in leadership, all right. He tells Titus the same thing in

  672. Titus's letter he said for a Bishop must be blameless as a

  673. steward of God, not self willed, not angry, not given to wine,

  674. not a striker, nor given to filthy lucre.

  675. He tell him the same thing first Peter.

  676. Peter even talks to him. He said listen when you're

  677. talking about pastors, he tells pastors in verse two, feed the

  678. flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof,

  679. not by constraint, but willingly, not for filthy lucre,

  680. but ever ready mind so. Even in the leadership, he had

  681. to be Make them beware, all right, or make them have caution

  682. of being against being moved by money, he said.

  683. Don't do it. So I'll let you know how

  684. powerful money money really is. OK.

  685. But as we look at the last part that that I want to see as far

  686. as the where your. Your your treasure is.

  687. And let me go and down here as far as when we talk about it,

  688. leadership can't have it, but one of the things that you'll

  689. find out being covetous being. Always thinking about money, it

  690. can condemn the soul. Do you remember the parable I

  691. just read? He said he, you know, he said

  692. your soul is required, right? Pastor is quoted how many times

  693. the Scripture, All right, this says what will a man gain?

  694. And and you know, what does it matter if he gains the whole

  695. world and loses his soul? See, there's something about

  696. money that can help. You lose your mind.

  697. You can get so possessed in the money, you can find yourself

  698. just constantly, constantly trying to figure out how we

  699. going to do this, how we going to do that.

  700. Do you not think that the Holy Spirit has the ability to tell

  701. you what you need to do next? I mean, if anybody ought to know

  702. what your next move is going to be, it ought to be the Holy

  703. Spirit. Instead of figuring out, OK, I

  704. saw this good idea, saw that good idea, stop and sit down

  705. with the Lord. And say, what's the next thing

  706. that you're going to have me get in?

  707. I'm right now seeking him about different things because we got

  708. such a shake up in the real estate market.

  709. OK, there's some new laws coming out that we're going to have to

  710. really, really watch ourselves on because the the realtor, the

  711. Association of Realtors, all right, was sued for over $400

  712. million because people were freaking out about commissions

  713. and that they weren't communicating how they were

  714. getting paid. And I'm thinking that is the

  715. dumbest thing I've ever heard of because everybody we've ever

  716. dealt with, we let them know and we show them this is how we're

  717. getting paid and they what they won.

  718. Now we're in the appealing and everything of it.

  719. But you know, it's going to change a lot.

  720. It's going to, it's going to change compensation.

  721. And there's going to be some people that will not consider a,

  722. a, you know, if you bring a buyer, they, they can tell you

  723. no, we don't have to pay you anything.

  724. Well then, what's the point? I mean, why would I bring you a

  725. buyer? But you got to be careful

  726. because you're not being showing any prejudice or you're showing

  727. any animosity because you know they're not offering.

  728. So you, there's a lot of things in the industry that we're

  729. looking at. I'm seeking the Lord about it.

  730. I'm not going to I'm not going to take everything every lawyer

  731. says. I wonder, Lord, how do you want

  732. me to respond in this situation? What do you need me to do?

  733. You got something else going You want me to get involved in I

  734. I'll listen. You know, that's what we want to

  735. do. But when we get to.

  736. Philippians chapter I'm sorry, Ephesians chapter 5 all right,

    Ephesians 5 chapter mention

  737. let's talk about what it it can do to us because in verse one he

  738. said, if you there be for followers of God as dear

  739. children, be that he said and walk in love as Christ also

  740. loved us and has given himself for us an offering and a

  741. sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour but fornication

  742. all uncleanliness or covetousness.

  743. Listen to this next phrase. Let it not once be named among

  744. you as becometh Saints all right.

  745. You are not supposed to be in a situation where people say man,

  746. they're just. Greedy.

  747. You know that all they talk about is money.

  748. You know how you're going to make the next buck.

  749. What do we got to do? Don't be that, it said.

  750. Do not let that be named against upon you at once.

  751. Don't even let it all right then, he said, Neither

  752. filthiness, foolish talking nor jesting, which are not

  753. convenient, but rather the giving of thanks.

  754. It says. For this we know that no

  755. whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man who is an

  756. idolater, have any in any inheritance in the Kingdom of

  757. God. So people that are spending all

  758. their time figuring out how to make the next buck, talking

  759. about what we got to do to make the next buck, what can we do to

  760. get the next dollar? All right, He says in there, he

  761. said that covetous man is an idolater.

  762. All right, What's some of the first commandments?

  763. Thou shalt not make any graven image.

  764. Interesting. You know how they print money on

  765. a graven plate? It's etched.

  766. Right, that's how they print money.

  767. He said don't. He said, don't get into

  768. covetousness because it is idolatry.

  769. That's why he said, what did he say?

  770. You cannot serve God and you cannot serve Mammon.

  771. You cannot serve wealth. You cannot serve money.

  772. That's what he tells us and in and in First Timothy chapter 6.

    1 Timothy 6 chapter mention

  773. Listen to what Paul's writing in in First Timothy 6.

  774. Two different sections. All right, we're going to wrap

  775. it up. What do we got?

  776. I don't have my time up there, but what about what, 15 after

  777. great first Timothy jot it down six, nine through 10, but.

  778. Those that will be. Rich fall into a temptation and

  779. a snare, and in in many foolish and hurtful lust which drown men

  780. in destruction and tradition. For the love of money is the

  781. root of all evil, which some have coveted after they have

  782. erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many

  783. sorrows. So Paul writing to Timothy tells

  784. him, he said those that will be rich, the word will be means to

  785. strive to be those that are constantly striving to be rich.

  786. He tells the believer, he said you are going to fall into a

  787. temptation and a snare. And he goes on, and he said, and

  788. many foolish and hurtful lust, which drowned men in destruction

  789. and perdition. You know, I mean, I can't tell

  790. you how many times pastors even alluded to this, but I had

  791. actually in Oklahoma, I had some people come to me.

  792. They, you know, they'd come to me and say, hey, I just got this

  793. job. I said, wow, that's great

  794. because you've been looking for one for a long time.

  795. That's awesome. And they said, but I'm not going

  796. to be able to go to church on Sundays.

  797. OK, well, we can go back to you might be a redneck.

  798. OK, I said dude, I said I don't care.

  799. What it pays? I don't.

  800. I said you will mess up your life based upon this Scripture.

  801. It said, yeah, in there they will be.

  802. They'll fall into a temptation to snare many foolish and

  803. hurtful lust and drown in destruction and perdition.

  804. And it wasn't too long after that him and his wife were

  805. divorced. Kids are wondering what's going

  806. on, you know, and the whole bit, you know, the Bible's true, Yes,

  807. the trouble's true. You know, one verse that that I,

  808. I, I learned years ago said he that troubles his house will

  809. inherit the wind. OK.

  810. And right here. When somebody decides to go

  811. after money and you know, and and it may be the most innocent

  812. God, I just want to be, I just want to do better for my family.

  813. I just want to do we all want to do better for our family, OK,

  814. But there's a way to do that that won't put you in a jeopardy

  815. situation. It is becoming familiar with the

  816. voice of God so that he can tell you all right, what it is.

  817. And and the main thing is, is that we can go back every time.

  818. Everything we teach, We can go back all right, to the the

  819. management principle is that how are we managing?

  820. How are we? How are we taking care of the

  821. things that God gives? US because remember what we said

  822. according to you know, Genesis chapter 2, verse five and six,

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  823. it goes on there and it goes in there to say that hey, he

  824. withholds all right, his resources from bad manager.

  825. He will cut off resources if someone starts managing poorly.

  826. We have scriptures all through Jesus teaching about that.

  827. The unjust steward? He got fired.

  828. And he again tried to figure out what he was doing, you know,

  829. and, and what he was going to have to do.

  830. But Jesus said, don't be like them.

  831. All right, now let me give you the last Scripture for tonight,

  832. Second Timothy chapter 6. Again, it's just just down a

  833. little ways in verse 17, he said.

  834. Charge them that are rich in this world that they and and you

  835. need to note these number one that they be not high minded.

  836. In other words, thinking more of yourself than you need to think.

  837. He said no trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God

  838. who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

  839. So he's telling you, get the the thought of finances out of your

  840. way and begin to trust in the living God.

  841. Money can leave quickly. I've been there.

  842. I've lost all, almost all of it. OK, sad, sad situations.

  843. I didn't know if there's anything I could do.

  844. You know about it, but the Lord brought me out of all of it.

  845. All right, and and and when you take a look in there when he

  846. says, you know charged in the rich in this world that they be

  847. not high minded nor trust in uncertain riches.

  848. If you'll remember the parable of the sower in Mark chapter 4.

    Mark 4 chapter mention

  849. He said some are sown among thorns, and he said the cares of

  850. this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other

  851. things reach in and choke the word that was sown in their

  852. heart. Now it's interesting to note.

  853. OK. And you think about this, Pastor

  854. pointed this out to US one time. He said there's four types of

  855. soil. You remember the wayside, Stony

  856. ground, thorny ground and good ground.

  857. The harvest that he said you could expect from the sowing of

  858. the word was only 25% OK. So when we talk about we talk

  859. about the fact that he said charge them that are rich in

  860. this world. They be not high minded nor

  861. trust in uncertain riches. Why are they uncertain?

  862. Because you don't know what the markets going to do unless God

  863. tells you how to keep from something bad happening.

  864. And he said, but you trust in the living God who gives us

  865. richly everything to enjoy. But look at the next verse, he

  866. said, and that they do good and that they be rich in good works,

  867. ready to distribute, willing to communicate.

  868. He said if there's a reason that God is going to bless you

  869. financially, is those things right there that you would be

  870. doing good? It is said of Jesus in Acts

    Acts 10:38

  871. chapter 10, verse 38, who went about doing good.

  872. All right, He said he was anointed of God.

  873. He went about doing good and healing all that were possessed.

  874. Of devils, the word doing good in there is where we get our

  875. English word philanthropist. OK, how do we know Jesus was a

  876. philanthropist? Well, every time you turn

  877. around, he's given to the poor. How do we know that?

  878. Because the night that he was betrayed and Judas left, the

  879. other guys assumed that he was either going to go buy some more

  880. stuff to eat or go give something to the poor at the at

  881. the request of Jesus. So it must have been something

  882. that continued on or they didn't ever had that thought that he

  883. was he was in it. So he says you need to be one

  884. that does good and that you be rich in good works everywhere

  885. you're serving in the ministry. Is a good work.

  886. Do you think more about that than you do your job?

  887. You know what we could do? Pastor said it the other day.

  888. I thought it was so funny. He said, you know, because we

  889. were talking about the tithe and, and, and I'd made a comment

  890. about tithing your time. And I did the calculations on

  891. how many minutes there are in a day. 10% of it would be two

  892. hours and 24 minutes. OK, could we do that?

  893. Well, I spend about half of that in the time of the word and

  894. study every day. Never miss a day.

  895. Don't miss a day. All right.

  896. Then I spend the time I'm either praying or talking to the Lord

  897. about the different things that's going on.

  898. You know, how do you want me to respond?

  899. What do you want me to do next? You know, we got a meeting

  900. today, you know, have me give me an opportunity to talk about the

  901. Kingdom, you know, those different things.

  902. And I'm and I'm always. Looking at that because why I

  903. want to be rich. In good works OK, you know,

  904. works is the word works OK, Ergon in the Greek it just means

  905. work. So while we're working.

  906. That's why Pastor said your job is not your source.

  907. Your job is not where you work. You don't.

  908. And here's the deal. We get so caught up in trading

  909. our life for money, it's ridiculous.

  910. And we got to go to work. I've said it before, I said, you

  911. know God's not going to trust you with your own business.

  912. He's going to put you in an employment situation to see how

  913. you handle yourself. If you can't be trusted with

  914. another man's business, why in the world would he give you one

  915. of your own? Did the Bible not say that in,

  916. in, in? So in the 12th chapter of Luke,

  917. he says that he said, if you've not been faithful on that which

  918. is another man, he will not give you that which is your own.

  919. And people are all the time, you know, thinking, oh, man, if I

  920. could just go into business, you know, I could make, you know, I

  921. could make more money and I could get this done and that

  922. done. I said wrong motive for getting

  923. into business. And, you know, I had one young

  924. man tell me. He said, Oh yeah, man, he said.

  925. I don't, I don't, I want to, I want my own business.

  926. And he said, and I said, well, what, what's the, what's the big

  927. deal? I said, I hear you're making,

  928. you know, fairly good money as a, a, a, a server and tips are

  929. good. You're at a good restaurant

  930. because I tell people I said you need to evaluate.

  931. Tips. OK, $100 meal has a better tip

  932. than a $25.00 meal. Anybody figure that out because

  933. I'm not going to go work at the $25 ticket.

  934. Place I'm going to go, if I'm going to serve, I'm going to go

  935. to that. That would that would be your

  936. main thing, right? Your thought.

  937. All right. But he you know, he said yeah.

  938. He said I'm just I'm just tired of my boss and everything.

  939. And I said and you what, you want to go into your own

  940. business? How many bosses do you have?

  941. You said I got one. I said, well, go ahead and go

  942. into business. You'll have about 100.

  943. And guess what? They don't care.

  944. They don't care if you do good or bad.

  945. I mean, if whatever it is you promise you better produce and

  946. they don't care if your place burns down, you know, they don't

  947. care that you got sick. They don't care.

  948. I mean, and so, you know, if you think it's bad working for one

  949. guy, OK, get your next hundred. Line them up, you know, and,

  950. and, and see how you fare there. All right.

  951. But he tells, he said you got to be rich in good works.

  952. Notice what he said, ready to distribute.

  953. I mean, you know the thing in I'm always ready.

  954. I'm listening. I mean, I got ears like an

  955. elephant. You can't see them.

  956. But you know, when I'm walking around the hallway out here and

  957. I mean, is it not getting crowded or crowded or is that a

  958. word crowded more crowded. I mean, you people talking about

  959. everything and I got my ears open.

  960. Who's going through some bad times, who's got a challenge,

  961. who can't make this or you can't pay this or, or whatever.

  962. I'm listening. I want to know who in the body

  963. needs help because I'm ready. I want to be ready.

  964. And, and, and you don't have to go very far down the hall, you

  965. know, and get and, and, and find you see, read people's faces.

  966. You can you, you know, you can listen to the way they're

  967. talking, you know, the whole bit.

  968. Be ready, be ready to distribute.

  969. He said willing to communicate that Neil Diamond, you know Neil

  970. Diamond, he's a singer. He had a song and it's called

  971. Money Talks. He don't sing or dance, but it

  972. talks money still. Talks.

  973. You know what it says and that we need to train it to say I

  974. love you. You're going through a hard time

  975. right now. I've had that happen to me.

  976. I mean, and you know, at at one of the worst times in my life,

  977. me and Melanie both. I mean, I'm going through the

  978. cancer. I'm highly distracted, all

  979. right? I mean, money's not coming in

  980. the way it should. I had some decisions to make.

  981. I was sharing with one brother about it.

  982. That brother went to another brother and went to another

  983. brother, went to another brother.

  984. Next thing, all these brothers show up at the house and they.

  985. And they said. We're going to help you.

  986. I never forgot it. I'll never forget it.

  987. And, and when I was asking them, you know, about, you know, why

  988. are you guys doing this? And I'd forgotten.

  989. And that's the amazing thing because some people have a

  990. Ledger sheet that never forget. But I had one of them say, Hey,

  991. you know what, when my little boy was not doing well, you paid

  992. for all the doctor bills we did. I forgot all about that.

  993. He said, you know, when I had to work and I, I couldn't pay for

  994. the daycare. You paid for all the daycare.

  995. We. Did.

  996. Had another guy tell me, he said you remember when my grandfather

  997. died I couldn't go see him. He said cuz I didn't have the

  998. money and you right there on your phone bought me a plane

  999. ticket so I could be at his funeral.

1000. I forgot all about it. You know, The thing is, Are you

1001. ready? Are you ready to communicate?

1002. All right? Are you ready to let somebody

1003. know? Hey, I love you and this is it.

1004. Don't worry about that. Don't worry, you know.

1005. If you can fix it, fix it. All right, then that last verse

1006. that said laying up in store for themselves a good foundation

1007. against the time to come that they may lay hold of eternal

1008. life. You know, I'm not real sure that

1009. it defines out what that time to come is.

1010. But I mean, we're facing all kind of crazy stuff in the

  1011. arena. Finance Banks.

1012. Doing weird things, You know, you're hearing rumors all the

1013. time that the government through the Fed, the Fed don't want to

1014. be left out. So the Fed wants to come up with

1015. a digital dollar and they probably will.

1016. The International Monetary Fund, all right?

1017. And all these different things. You know, he said you, you store

1018. up when you give into the Kingdom of God, you're storing

1019. up for the time to come. I don't know what that time's

1020. going to entail, but I want to make sure I've invested in the

1021. right place. And I'm not talking about a

1022. world system that can complete and come, come cave in or or

1023. come to complete nothing. But I want to make sure that I'm

1024. investing in those things that God's saying this is eternal,

1025. this is eternal. All right, that's what we want

1026. to do. All right, everybody good.

1027. All right, let's pray. Father, I thank you and praise

1028. you for opportunity to just talk about some of your

1029. considerations concerning how we look at money that we'd be

1030. people. That want to talk about your

1031. Kingdom more than money or we want to think about your Kingdom

1032. more than money? We want to invest in Your

1033. Kingdom more than any other investment that we could make.

1034. Father, we thank you and praise You that You've given us the

1035. ability as business people to be sensitive to those around us

1036. that may be going through things or maybe needing a little help.

1037. Father, I thank you and praise You that the love in our hearts,

1038. well, it has to give. It has to give because you said

1039. it in John 316 that God so loved the world that He gave.

1040. He gave the most important thing that we needed and that was his

1041. son. So we're grateful for that.

1042. But father, let us take the things that we learned tonight

1043. and and meditate on them and find out where do we really

1044. stand? Where are we at?

1045. What are we focused on? Lord, we want to be focusing on

1046. your Kingdom. You said that you'd add

1047. everything you said don't be anxious about tomorrow.

1048. He said tomorrow has the ability to take care of the things that

1049. itself. He said sufficient unto today is

1050. a trouble. So Father, help us through that

1051. trouble because you said that you were given to us to help us

1052. and you gave us the Holy Spirit to do that exact thing.

1053. So let us be sensitive and let us listen and let us be able to

1054. conduct business in the Kingdom as you want it conducted and we

1055. thank you for it in Jesus name, Amen.
