As He Is - Anointed To Reign - Week 2

So the last Cup, last week, we started this thought process on

anointed terrain so that we could understand why there's an

anointing. And last week was Pentecost

Sunday. It's when the Holy Spirit got

poured out on the day of Pentecost and then those in the

upper room got filled with the Holy Spirit.

They began to speak in an unknown tongue and in languages.

Now when I say that, let me preface it.

It does not mean just because they heard their language that

the ones speaking were actually speaking the language.

It says they heard. I said they heard.

Now this actually happened at Anchor Fay Church when we were

over at this 312 location. Pastor David Emay, before he

went on to be with the Lord. In fact, it was the last time he

ministered in our church. He came on a Sunday and the Lord

spoke to me that morning and said, tell Pastor David that

he's going to minister this morning.

I didn't give him any warning. It just came up in the Spirit.

And I said, Pastor David, the Lord told me that you were going

to minister this morning, so the pulpit's yours.

So he said, OK. And so he obeyed the voice of

the Lord, and he ministered on the Holy Ghost.

He ministered on the power of the Holy Spirit.

I'll never forget it. We were actually in the back.

We were dealing with the county. We couldn't be up front.

We had to be pushed back. Remember we were been this three

3600 square feet, even though we had 10,000 square feet.

We were stuck in one little back section.

But he was back there and he was preaching.

Well, there was a lady that had come to the church that was

Spanish, and she could not understand English really at

all. So one of the ladies who brought

her new Spanish, and while he was preaching, she was

translating, whispering in her ear.

About halfway through the message, she looks over to her.

Her name was Tanya that was translating.

She said Tanya, you don't have to translate.

He's speaking in Spanish now. I can hear everything he's

saying, but he never changed language.

To everyone else it was English, but to her what she heard was

Spanish. It switched.

Are you hearing me so you don't may you may not know that when

you speak in an unknown tongue, although it's unknown to you, it

could be in the hearing of someone else exactly what they

need to hear. In fact, Doctor Rodney Howard

Browne gave us a particular testimony in his service that he

had ministered a message years ago.

It was actually on a tape back in the day when they were doing

tapes and some gentleman in the Philippines, I believe it was he

was, he had gained access to this tape on the anointing of

God. And so he put it in there, was

listening to it. And he ended up seeing Pastor

Rodney at some other time, I think 10 years later and says,

you saved my ministry. Thank you.

And he said how he's never met him before.

How did I save your ministry? He said, well, I was

discouraged. I was a pastor in the

Philippines. You know, things weren't going

great. And at the end of the day, you

know, I was ready to quit. But I got a little tape of yours

on the anointing and I put it in.

And while I was listening to it, I was shocked when you began to

speak in my language and begin to encourage me in my own

language. And he said, what was the title

of that? And he told him what it was.

He said when I got back home, I looked it up.

He said I had to go into the archives.

And so he said, I put the tape in.

I started to listen to it, and I only spoke English except for

one time. I began to speak in the spirit.

And that's all that was on the tape is me speaking in the

spirit. But when he heard that right,

the guy in the Philippines, trans, it was translated in his

hearing as the language that he understood.

He was shocked that Pastor Rodney knew his language, but

it's what encouraged him because he admonished him in that talk

to continue. Don't stop, don't quit, keep

moving, keep going. Are you hearing me?

So we need to understand why we're anointed to rain.

Amen because we are not just born again to die and go to

heaven. We've been born from above so

that we can make an impact on the earth and we need to do it

as God intended us to do. Are you hearing me?

So with that being said, let's pick back up in John chapter 12.

John 12 · chapter mention

We read some of this last week and I'm going to finish on

because we want to talk about anointed terrain.

And it says on the next day, the large crowd who had come to the

feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

took branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him and

began to shout Hosanna blessed to see who comes in the name of

the Lord, even the King of Israel.

So they were announcing his kingship.

He goes on and says Jesus finding a young donkey sat on it

as it is written, as it is written, which means Jesus had

to find the donkey because it had been written.

He would come into Jerusalem this way years, decades,

centuries before he showed up. And so it says, fear not,

daughter of Zion, behold your what?

Your king is coming seated on a donkey's colt.

But then verse 16 says is these things his disciples did not

understand at the 1st, but when Jesus was glorified, then they

remembered that with that things, these things were

written of him and they that they had done these things to

him. So again, there was things that

Jesus was doing according to Scripture that the disciples

didn't understand while he was doing when he was doing it.

But after his death, burial, resurrection, and then they got

born again and filled with the Holy Ghost, they then had

understanding of all the things He had done and why He had done

them. Let's go on verse 18 for this,

or verse 17. So the people who were with him

when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the

dead continued to testify about him.

For this reason also the people went and met him, because they

they heard that he had performed this song.

So the Pharisees said to one another, You see that you are

not doing any good. Look, the world has gone after

you. Now there were some Greeks among

those who were going up to worship at the feast.

These then came to Philip who was from Bethsaida of Galilee

and began to ask him, saying, Sir, we wish to see Jesus.

Philip came and told Andrew. Andrew and Philip came and told

Jesus and Jesus answered them saying, the hour has come for

the Son of man to be glorified. Here it is verse 24.

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls

into the earth and dies, it remains what alone?

It remains what alone. But if it does, it bears much

fruit. Now before I finish this next

verse, I want to say a couple of things real quick.

So just keep this up. Here He is saying I am the seed.

Remember what it said in Genesis chapter 3 when the Lord came

down to Satan? He said I'll put my seed in the

woman. Are you hearing me now?

That's the seed. In order for the seed to produce

after its own kind, it must go in the earth or die.

If you have seeds and leave them on a shelf, you'll always have

seeds. You'll never have the fruit of

what's within the seed. Jesus knew if I'm going to

produce after the God kind again or the King kind, then I'm going

to have to do the will of my Father, which is to die so that

they I pay the price of all man's wrongdoing, transgression,

rebellion. And if they'll call on me as

being Lord, then I'll make them after my kind.

They can produce my fruit. That's why verse 25 goes on and

says he who loves his life what loses it, and he who hates his

life in this world will what? Keep it to life eternal.

Now listen, Jesus said unless the grain of wheat falls into

the earth and dies, it remains alone.

You know what he's saying? He's saying if you don't die to

yourself, you're going to remain alone.

In order for you to bear the fruit that he can bear, you're

going to have to lose your life as well.

Now, you don't have to physically die.

Jesus did. But we don't.

We have to die to self. We have to die to self.

We have to say, my spirit man that is separated from God in

rebellion to God, won't even go after God.

In order for me to be right with God, I'm going to have to die.

To sell, I'm going to have to kill that.

That's going to have to die. That's why the Bible says that

when we're born again, we become a new creature in Christ.

The old what passes away, we have a funeral service for the

old spirit man never to be resurrected.

Come on now, we don't want that to ever resurrect.

We don't want a resurrection of that.

And so that spirit is passed away or, or, or moved out of

this earthly tent, and we become a new creature.

Where in Christ? What does it mean in Christ?

It means in the King. Christ is the Messiah.

Christ is the King who would come and establish his Kingdom

and there would be no end. So when we say you're in Christ,

we're saying you are in the King.

When you're born again, you are positioned in the same seat that

Christ sits on the same seat. And that's the purpose for the

new birth. The new birth's purpose is not

to take you to heaven when you die.

The new birth's purpose is to cause you to be in Christ and

forever with the King. And whether the King's in heaven

or on earth, we're with him forever, Hallelujah.

And his Spirit is within us because when we're born again,

then the Bible says that his Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the

King, comes and lives on the inside of us and bears witness

with our spirit. We are what?

Children of God, children of God.

So Jesus is saying, who I am in the earth.

I want to make more because this was always God's intent from the

beginning, cause from the beginning in Genesis 126, we

know this. But you understand, we have

guests all the time. We have people that just come a

few times. And so it's very important for

us to always keep the context of the word of God because people

can walk in here and think they know what church is until they

find out man, I don't think I know what church is.

So in Genesis 126, in God's original creation before sin

ever came to the planet, God said, let us make man in our

image according to our likeness, and let them have dominion or

rule over the fish of the sea, birds of the sky, over all the

cattle, over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth,

over all the earth. So God made both male and female

to have dominion or rulership in the realm of the earth as God

has rulership in the heavens. And so God from his realm would

speak to his man for his son Adam in this realm.

And Adam and Eve would both function by the word of God and

rule in this realm as God does there.

And he would in essence be a little king to the king.

So that is how God originally intended for us to live and to

be. However, God, because he created

us in a as a free will as well as the heavenly host.

He wants to know, do you love me, my son?

And in order to know whether he loves him or not, not because

he's not giving come breathe of his own nature to make man, he

breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

So man is of the nature of God already, and God is love.

The question is, love is demonstrated through obedience.

So he says, Son, you can eat from any tree of the garden, but

of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not

eat, for the day you eat you will surely die.

So if Adam had never eaten the fruit, where would he be today?

Right here on the planet. He never would have gone to

heaven, because heaven would always come here.

Wow. However, Adam did eat the fruit.

He abdicated his throne. He gave his dominion over to the

serpent who came in, which we know is the devil or Satan.

Satan received his dominion. That's why I'm the temptation of

Jesus and the Luke account. He said, I'll give you all these

kingdoms or domains in a moment of time, for they've been handed

over to me and I can give it to whoever I wish.

So the authority that the devil possessed was not stolen from

Adam. It was given to him by Adam.

Did he receive it through trickery or did he receive it

through manipulation? And did he receive it by lying?

Yes, but he received it nonetheless from Adam because

Adam ate the fruit and gave the dominion.

But Jesus came to take it back because the Father said, Satan,

I'm bringing my seed. I'm bringing my seed.

I'm bringing my seed. Jesus is in the garden now

because Adam lost dominion in the garden.

Jesus is in the garden to regain dominion.

How does he do it? By saying, Father, if there's

any other way to do this, let this cup pass.

Why does he ask this question? Because Jesus is not ignorant of

Abraham and Isaac that the Lord's told Abraham take your

son up to the mountain that I'll show you sacrifice him to me.

And when they got up there, he tied him up and he was about to

run the knife through his son. Believing that God must have the

power to resurrect the dead. Although there's never been a

resurrection ever before on the face of the planet prior to that

moment. And the Lord was not asking

Abraham to believe for a resurrection.

He just knew that God always did his word and if he said this son

is my covenant, I don't understand how I could kill him

and I lose my covenant child. So God must be able to raise the

dead that it must be a temporary suspension.

However, when he, when God knew there was nothing Abraham would

withhold from him, he said, don't do it, son, don't kill

your son. I've provided a ram in the

thicket and Jesus in the garden saying, Dad, is there another

way? Do you have a ram in the

thicket? But the father said, Son, there

is no other way. You are the lamb, you are to be

slain. Are you hearing me?

Why 'cause, son, if the if the grain of wheat does not die, it

cannot produce after its own kind.

And in order for man to be back in the position that I created

them in the 1st place, you're going to have to die for their

sin. You're going to have to pay

their price. You're going to have to take

care of every condition that that I would have a legal just

and, and a judging right as the king of my words that if they

acted this way, they would be separated from me.

But if you'll make that payment and they call on your name to be

saved, then you'll enact all the conditions that will allow them

to be saved. They would be able to walk in

newness of life. They would be free from the

guilt and shame. They would be free from that

bondage. They would be liberated.

Hallelujah. And so Jesus dies and he has

risen and now he is the mediator of a new and better covenant.

This is what I love about our King.

Is our King's alive to talk about it?

I said our King's alive to talk about it.

It's not like he died and left us a will, which you understand,

Old Testament. New Testament is just another

way of saying an old will and a new will, OK?

It's a covenant in essence. I died, and this is what I've

left you because of my death. But the cool thing is, is that

Jesus actually gets to show up in the room and say, well, this

is what I meant. So the devil can't come and

arbitrate your will, although he's doing it for some.

He's doing it. He said, well yeah, Jesus died

for you, you know, but he doesn't heal you down here.

You know, that's only if he wills it done and he don't will

it for everybody. Well, you don't want to listen

to him as your arbitrator of your covenant right?

No, Jesus would get in a room and say that's a lie because

he's a liar. No, by hit by my stripes you're

healed. You've got a covenant right to

walk in healing now. You've got a covenant right to

be prosperous now. You have a covenant right to

have joy now. You do not have to wait until

you get you to sweet by and by to reign in this life now and

here's the kicker, not only do you reign, I've anointed you to

reign. I've given you power to reign.

This isn't like hypothetical stuff.

This is I actually possess power.

That's why it says in John chapter one verse 32 to 33 John

testifies saying I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out

of heaven and he remained upon him say upon him, I did not

recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to

me, he upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining

upon him. This is the one who baptizes in

the Holy Spirit. Are you hearing me So John in

essence Saul the anointing of the king.

We talked about this last week that when the king is anointed,

when God goes to anoint kings, he anoints them with power.

The Old Testament type and shadow is oil was laid upon the

the human that they would anoint as king over the nation of

Israel and oil is a type and shadow of the Holy Spirit.

Well Jesus has the Holy Spirit come upon him without measure.

Now here's someone Jesus, who knew no sin, never sinned.

In fact, up to this 30 year span of 0 to 30, He's never blown it

one time. His nature is perfect.

He's fulfilled the law and all of its requirements.

He's never sinned once. Yet the Father will not let him

go minister until the Holy Spirit comes upon him.

I don't want you talking about my Kingdom until the Holy Ghost

comes upon you. And we said this last week in

another passage of this context of being baptized by the Holy

Spirit. After John baptized him in water

and the the heavens opened up and the Spirit descended upon

him and he was filled with the Holy Spirit.

He said, John said I have need of you to baptize.

Me listen, everyone in this room has need to be baptized by the

Holy Ghost to be baptized by the Holy Ghost.

Why is it that a believer when they realize when I say a

believer, a Sinner when they realize I am not going to be in

a relationship with the Father unless I accept Jesus Christ of

my Lord I'm I have to change everything that I think I know

about being right with God. My way isn't good enough.

The right things I do is not good enough that everything I

try to do is only death. We have this revelation that the

Holy Spirit says there's only one way to the Father is through

Jesus Christ their son and both men and women will humble

themselves with all their heart to confess that Jesus Christ

died on the cross, rose from the grave, and that he is Lord,

which is not a religious word. It means supreme in authority.

He is supreme in the authority of my life.

Are you hearing me? But yet when he says now get

baptized in the Spirit, then we want to debate whether we need

it or not, whether we need it or not.

At the end of the day, is it true that a person could confess

Jesus and Lord and not be baptized in the Holy Ghost and

if they die, they go to heaven? Sure.

But again, that's not why you're supposed to be born again

anyway. You're not supposed to be born

again to know where you go when you.

All religions are asking that question, Every religion.

Jesus did not come to satisfy that answer for you.

He came to give you life and life more abundantly now, and he

came to crown you and to indo you with power.

The same spirit that came upon Jesus.

He came so that you could be an unstoppable force in the planet

and do the same works that Jesus.

Jesus said the works that I do, come on, the works that I do

well, Jesus did none of those works till he was baptized in

the Holy Ghost. Didn't do one of them, didn't

heal a person, didn't cast out a devil, didn't do any till after

he was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

And so we say, you know, that we can do the same works that he

does. Well.

Do you have the same power that he has and that's just not the

Spirit of God within it has to be the Spirit of God upon you'll

do the greater works if you do so.

This is why in Acts chapter one verse three.

Look what it says here. It says to these he that's Jesus

also presented himself alive after his suffering by many

convincing proofs appearing to them over a period of 40 days.

Now look what Jesus is talking after his resurrection and

Speaking of things concerning the Kingdom of God.

You know what? Jesus was not speaking, He

wasn't saying. Now listen, I have died and

risen from the dead. This is all I want you to tell

people. Be born again.

Ask them, do you know where you're going to go when you die?

That is not what the risen King told his disciples to say.

The risen king told his disciples, you go tell them

about the Kingdom. Now, here's the cool thing.

If you're going to learn about the Kingdom, people are going to

be like what happens in Acts chapter 2, what must we do?

Acts 2 · chapter mention

And Peter's going to say, well, the door is you must repent,

believe. You're going to have to confess

Jesus as Lord. You must be born again or born

from above. Because Jesus told Nicodemus

this when he said, man, it's obvious you're coming from the

Kingdom. You're not of this world.

And Jesus said, listen, unless a man's born again, he shall not

enter the Kingdom. He shall not see the Kingdom.

But again, it's entering into something you possess.

And Kingdom is not heaven because if it was heaven, this

prayer of Jesus would make no sense.

Our Father, come on, say it with me who art in heaven hallowed be

your name, your Kingdom come, your will on as so heaven and

earth are locations. Kingdom can be in both Heaven

and earth are locations, but the Kingdom can be in both.

Your Kingdom come, Heaven will always exist.

Earth will always exist. It will be redeemed.

I said It will be redeemed. God is not getting rid of planet

Earth. It will have a global warming

moment though. That is true.

He'll burn it with fire and it'd be no problem for us.

Go. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego

could stand in the fiery furnace, seven times hotter and

hot while it's going on. It can be burning around us.

And we're watching the renovation take place.

We're watching the restoration, the redemption of the Earth.

I can hear all the guys now. Now that's a fire.

See, the biggest bonfire I've ever seen in my life.

Wow. It reaches up to the heavens.

And we won't have to call one fire department.

We'll get a, we'll get a restored earth, glory to God.

And after that's done, you get the new heaven and the new

earth. Then it says the new Jerusalem

is going to come down out of heaven to the eternal capital of

the world. Jerusalem is the eternal capital

of the world, and King Jesus and the Father are going to be right

here with us. Man, read your Bible.

So he's speaking about the Kingdom of God.

He said, gathering them together, He commanded them not

to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had

promised, which he said, You heard of me where John baptized

with water, but you'll be baptized with the Holy Spirit

not many days from now. Now, this is something after the

John 20 account where he breathed into his disciples that

received the Holy Spirit. He walked in through the, you

know, walls, you know, popped through the walls because He's

in his glorified body. He pops through the wall and

there they are, and he breathed on him and said, receive the

Holy Ghost. Well, there's nothing Jesus ever

said that didn't come to pass. So they all received the Holy

Spirit. In essence, Jesus saw the new

birth in that room. But now this is the kingship.

This is where the anointing comes.

This is where the kingship come. This is where the kings of the

king are born. This is where the kings of the

King are commissioned. We call it the Great Commission.

Well, you better get baptized in the Holy Ghost.

Amen. Now, let me just say this.

Well, Pastor Earl, I can hear it.

Well, Pastor Earl, you know, there's plenty of people out

there that wasn't baptized in the Holy Ghost and told people

about Jesus and they've been born again and all that.

So that means nothing to me. You know why Jesus said, see

these Pharisees over here to the crowd, do what they say, but

don't do what they Am I supposed to be impressed because

somebody's born again but not baptized in the Holy Ghost and

because they can share about Jesus and someone gets born

again, the word will produce on its own.

A lost person could give the plan of salvation and a person

could get born again because the Word has power.

The word alone has power, but God never intended for his

children to be born of him. But not half his anointing never

intended that. Never.

And if you know you need to be born again, then you need to go

ahead and settle. I need to have the anointing.

I need to have the Commission of kingship.

Jesus says don't even go anywhere until let's read it.

These are guys who have the Holy Spirit, he says.

So when they had come, yeah, I just read in verse four,

gathering them together, he said, but to wait, say wait, but

to wait, but to wait but to wait because he never wants to send

them out among wolves without their authority, without all the

power the Kingdom offers. Verse six.

So when they had come together, they were asking him saying,

Lord, is it time for you time? You are restoring the Kingdom of

Israel again, we're all consumed about the Kingdom and so was

Jesus. And he said to them, It is not

for you to know the times are epochs which the Father has

fixed for by His own authority. But you will receive what power

when the Holy Spirit has come, what upon you?

And you shall be my witnesses? That's when you need to go

witness. I mean, your witnessing goes to

a whole nother level. Your witnessing goes to a whole

nother level. Why?

Because you have an arsenal from the Kingdom to bring

demonstrations like Jesus, because Jesus did not minister

till the Holy Spirit came upon him in both in Jerusalem and all

Judea and Samaria and even to the remotest parts of the world.

Guess where we're at? We're in the remotest parts of

the world. And so we are to have an

anointing to do the work God's called us through.

Look what it says in John 2220. John first, John 220, first John

220. He says, but you have an

anointing from the Holy One. You all know, man, you know when

you have the anointing, I said, you know, now here's the thing.

I don't always feel the anointing, but I have the

anointing. And the reason I know I have it

because I had the first evidence that it came on me.

And that is I spoke in the language of the Kingdom.

Not complicated, not hard, not an issue.

And again, it's false doctrine and it's the devil trying to

keep you from your power. When people teach that if you're

speaking in an unknown tongue that that's of the devil, that

is a lie. Jesus dealt with this.

He said no way. If you asked your father for a

loaf of bread would he give you a rock.

If he gave SAS for fish would he give you a serpent?

He said how much more if you ask for the Holy Spirit.

So Jesus was very clear about this because he knew the devil

would come and attack the power because he does not want you to

rise to your kingship in the earth.

The devil would love for you to only believe that all you got

are received was a a knowing that heaven where is where you

go when you die. Because when, if that's all you

know, you'll be no earthly menace to him on the planet.

None. Be very easy for him to continue

to do his plans, his schemes, his stuff, because you know what

you won't know and you'll take up this nice religious mantra.

Oh Lord Jesus, come back quickly.

You know, because the devil, he sure is coming after us.

Man, there's so many terrible things.

I can't wait to go to heaven. Like we want to abandon

everything and the devil's like, please abandon it all because

the longer you don't know who you are, the longer I get to

rule. But the minute you begin to know

who you are and know what you're supposed to say.

Well then as time gets cut short because Jesus said I when this

gospel of the Kingdom is preached in every nation as a

testimony, then the end will come.

And when you realize man, I'm born of the King.

I am a king in the earth. I'm anointed as king because

I've received an anointing from the Holy One.

I know I have it. I know I have him, I know He's

in me, but I know He's upon me. I know I have his power.

I know I've been authorized. I know I've been made in His

likeness. I know that I walk in his

authority because all authority has been given to him in heaven

and earth and under the earth. I walk as a king of the the

earth, now as an ambassador to the Kingdom.

Isaiah talks about this anointing, how powerful it is.

How do I know? Because people don't recognize

you were anointed to reign. There is nothing in your life

you should not have victory over.

The anointing he placed on your life is a powerful anointing.

Isaiah 1027 talks about how powerful this is.

And it shall come to pass in that day.

Say it's that day. We are living in that day.

I said we are living in that day.

Look to your neighbor, Say it's that day.

Say it's that day He said it shall come to pass in that day.

That his burden shall be taken away from him off thy shoulders

and his yoke from off thy neck. And the yoke shall be destroyed

because of the anointing. Whoa.

It's that day. I said.

It's that day. I have no yoke on my mind.

I have no yoke on my emotions. I have no yoke on my feelings.

I have no yoke, no burden on me. I have cast my cares.

I have been set free. There's nothing, nothing I face

that we do not conquer, not overcome.

I have been given the anointing, Yeah.

Now this Scripture also says in others, this is really a good

analogy. This is a yoke that is on an ox,

and it says that the anointing or that the yoke is broken

because of it says fatness, Fatness.

It's the it's the only time you want to have fatness.

Are you hearing me? So what that means is, is that

joke on that ox, that ox has gotten so strong that the

muscles in its neck has been able to break that thing.

I can't control the strength of his neck.

It just breaks it off and God is placed within you and upon you a

power that breaks, and I mean it breaks and destroys, destroys

past relationships, destroys what your Mama did to you, what

your daddy did to you. It destroys generational curses.

Come on. You hear what I'm saying right

now? It destroys racism.

It destroys prejudices. It destroys lack.

It destroys it all. I mean, the church is anointed.

Wow. We've been anointed to reign.

Nothing bonds me. Nothing holds me.

Nothing controls me. Glory to God, there's a freedom

in this place right now. I said there's a freedom.

I said there's a freedom.
