Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast
-
from St. Augustine, FL.
-
Now enjoy this message. But we want to be able to say
-
things that will cause you to grow.
-
Now with that, turn over to Second Peter Chapter 3.
2 Peter 3 chapter mention
-
This is not a shocking statement.
-
This is just repetition. In second Peter chapter 3,
2 Peter 3 chapter mention
-
starting in verse one, it says this is now beloved.
-
The 2nd letter Peter says I'm writing to you in which I am
-
stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder or remembrance
-
depending on which translation you're reading.
-
Verse two says that you should remember.
-
Say, remember. Say remember.
-
Do you understand this is your biggest problem?
-
Come on husbands, how many times have you used this on your wife?
-
When she asked you, did you do something?
-
You said oh I forgot or I did not remember.
-
Come on now, just be honest. And multiple times this becomes
-
the excuse of most people. This is why I'm a little
-
skeptical when people come to to the church, whether it's through
-
Washington Treasure Harbor, Preschool, you know, the Cafe,
-
the church in general, whether it's some area ministry that
-
someone says, oh, I didn't know that.
-
No one told me that, that when I hear stuff like that, I'm
-
thinking Nah. They just chose not to remember
-
because I realize how much we actually communicate that when
-
someone acts like they're oblivious, I become a little
-
skeptical of that process. Just like husbands, our wives
-
are skeptical when we say, I don't remember you saying that.
-
Is that not what we've said? Yeah, I've said it on more than
-
one. I don't.
-
I don't remember you saying that.
-
And it usually follows with this.
-
But I did, Right. So again, our wives call that
-
selective hearing. We're only wanting to hear what
-
we want to hear, you know, And the rest of it, we tuned out,
-
you know, because all of a sudden, my wife turned into
-
Charlie Brown's teacher. Wah wah, wah, wah, wah
-
concerning that subject, but we do this with the Lord and Peter
-
was wise enough. I could go to a letter that Paul
-
wrote, writes to Timothy concerning this, but I'll stay
-
focused on this particular one that we are to remember.
-
He said that you should remember the word spoken beforehand by
-
the holy prophets and the commandments of our Lord and
-
Savior spoken by your apostles. So he's given reference here
-
that I'm trying to get you to remember something you've
-
already heard because what you've already heard has the
-
ability to keep you somewhere, strengthen you, grow you.
-
But if you're not remembering, in essence, Peter saying, I
-
don't need to tell you something new.
-
I need to remind you of something you already know.
-
Because what you already know you need to continue in.
-
And yet we've kind of have this psyche in our mindset if we
-
don't watch out as 'cause, you know, our public school system
-
has taught us this is that we, we study the night before a test
-
in order to pass the test with a passing grade.
-
That's all that matters. Just pass.
-
Then we do not remember that information because the test is
-
over. Let's go on to the next thing.
-
And as the teacher is talking, we're really not technically
-
listening, right? I mean, there's very few people
-
that are really studious. Let's just be honest.
-
And I was one of those people in high school.
-
I was not studious. I just happened to be able to
-
retain information. Well, OK, I could do that.
-
I mean, where I would have been if I had been really a studier
-
because some people can naturally do well.
-
Others they really study and still struggle because they, you
-
know, it's just not one of their expertise per SE in a particular
-
subject of what the case may be. But you know, many of us, we
-
were more concerned, and this is long before the social media
-
stuff that we have today. We were more concerned about
-
where our friends were and what was going in between class than
-
what was going on in class, which means then we're
-
conditioned when we get in church, the same thing.
-
You're more concerned about talking to that person in the
-
four year before service and after service.
-
Then you are about what's going on right now in service.
-
And then you only want to be able to talk about the the
-
issues or the subjects that we've ministered when the test
-
comes. Oh, now what?
-
Now what? It's test time.
-
Tomorrow it's a test. All of a sudden I'm being
-
attacked. There's a test.
-
OK, what do I need? I need a cram for the exam.
-
Then once it's over, what do we do?
-
We don't think about it anymore and we wait.
-
We don't think about sickness and disease.
-
We don't even talk over our bodies that were healthy and
-
healed. We have no cocktails.
-
It attacks. Then we cram.
-
We want to get past the test. We finally get past the test and
-
then we don't think about it anymore.
-
Same thing. We get financial straits.
-
We don't want to. We all of a sudden say what do
-
we do? We start being a giver.
-
We're doing what we need to do. Then all of a sudden we get past
-
that and we forget and we don't apply those principles.
-
Now when I say that we're talking about the majority of
-
people, but not at Anchor Fate Church.
-
At Anchor Fate Church, we are doers.
-
We'll talk about that a little bit more.
-
Verse three says no, this first of all, that in the last days
-
mockers will come and they're mocking, following after their
-
own lusts. So Peter is warning, listen, I
-
need to stir up your memory. I need you to remember things
-
you've already heard, because in the last days there are people
-
who will mock truth and they will try to turn truth to their
-
own lust. They'll try to convince you that
-
their truth will. It should be your truth because
-
they have a truth You can have, a truth they may not match, but
-
ultimately you should really come over to mine.
-
When anyone says this is my truth, it won't be long before
-
they're trying to convince you that their truth is truth
-
because nobody just accepts their personal truth.
-
They're trying to convince people that their personal truth
-
should be your truth because ultimately your truth and my
-
truth could be a conflict. However, Christ or the Holy
-
Spirit is the truth, He's the spirit of truth, period.
-
All right, so First Timothy 41, we use this at the beginning of
-
the year. I'm going to read out the good
-
God's Word translation. He says the Spirit says clearly
-
that in latter times some believers will desert the
-
Christian faith. They will follow spirits that
-
deceive, and they will believe the teachings of demons.
-
Now in January we lost our year with the reigning spirit.
-
It's July, how are you raining? It's July, how are you raining?
-
Have you taken an assessment? Has the spirit in you been
-
raining and have you been raining because you have the
-
reigning spirit or has something already happened in February,
-
March, April, May, June that all of a sudden you're on the ropes,
-
you're entertaining other thoughts, you're thinking other
-
things. I would love to be able to just
-
teach a subject one time and it stick, but we understand that
-
just doesn't happen. However, unfortunately, when I
-
repeat subjects, if we don't hear right, then the reality,
-
the repetition of the subject isn't making anyone better
-
because again, we're conditioned.
-
I've already taken that test. I got to be.
-
I'm going on, give me something else, give me something else,
-
give me something else. Yet Peter's like, look, you need
-
to be reminded of what you already know because you're not
-
passionate about. Remember when you first heard
-
again, not picking on Sabrina, but she's already has this
-
little thought. And this is not negative, but
-
notice how she said when they said we've never heard it.
-
She goes, Oh, that's just now I understand she not downplaying
-
it, but for her I it's what I've heard and know now, as opposed
-
to Oh, you've never heard right, because it's not just the
-
Kingdom, it's the Kingdom. Oh, it's oh, you don't know the
-
Kingdom. Oh, you need to know the
-
Kingdom. You need to know the kingdom's
-
something. The kingdom's what it's all
-
about. It's what the whole Bible's
-
about. It's about a king, his Kingdom
-
and his royal offspring. It's an amazing thing.
-
His Kingdom. It's an amazing who God is as
-
the King of everything, how he saved our lives, brought us into
-
his Kingdom, made us his all seed us, is in heavenly places,
-
put his spirit in US. It's an amazing thing, this
-
Kingdom that we're in. But again, for you to take that
-
kind of attitude, you have to stir yourself up and remind
-
yourself of how amazing this Kingdom you're functioning in.
-
Because what can happen is is you can get so natural in a
-
supernatural sense that you don't even take in account how
-
awesome this really is. Amen.
-
So we need to ask ourselves again, coming back to the
-
reigning spirit, are we functioning with this reigning
-
spirit now? What does it mean to have the
-
reigning spirit again? Since we've started January,
-
we've had a lot of guests come in, new people.
-
There are more people coming in this summer.
-
Then, you know, it's a little deceiving because people are on
-
vacation. So, you know, we got some pretty
-
good amount of seats still. People are in and out.
-
But man, when this fall hits, all of a sudden everyone's going
-
to kind of come. And we traditionally speaking,
-
it just tends to happen in this way that when school hits right
-
after Labor Day, it's like everybody packs in and we're
-
going to have one of those spike services where it seemed like
-
everybody decided to, almost everybody decided to come to
-
church at the same time. That would be an amazing day.
-
But it still has not occurred. OK.
-
Now, with that being said, then you're going to be going, what?
-
Where did all these people? How did we get so crowded?
-
Well, people are cycling now. People are coming in, which
-
means there are people who are coming in that haven't heard
-
what you've heard. And if I do not say what you
-
know to them, because when I say Kingdom, for many you're like, I
-
got that. But for others, that's heaven
-
because for many of you, that's what it was.
-
You didn't realize the Bible's about a Kingdom.
-
You didn't realize it was about a literal government where the
-
king rules and reigns. But once we begin to break
-
things down properly, then we are reminded.
-
But I love to preach the Kingdom because the Kingdom will always
-
keep you in the position of lordship because it's easy when
-
you start to kind of let go of the Kingdom lens that you'll let
-
go of the lordship of Jesus and you'll fall back to, I love the
-
Savior because it exposes. We don't want to be told.
-
It exposes we don't want to be told what to do and even with
-
Jesus, Amen. Man, I'm telling you, it'd be
-
tough if Jesus was standing in a pulpit today, it'd be tough.
-
Notice what Jesus did not do. The rich on ruler came to him
-
and said, man, what do I got to do?
-
I mean, most past should be jumping.
-
Praise God, this is a wealthy guy.
-
He's coming to my church. He's got all this kind of
-
influence and he wants to know how to be born again.
-
Oh man, this is amazing. Jesus says sell everything you
-
have, give to the porn, Come follow me.
-
The guy hangs his head and leaves.
-
Most pastors would say, OK, what do you need to hear so I can
-
keep you? I'm sorry, maybe you know what?
-
I don't want it to be so hard that it's that you feel like you
-
can't accomplish this. So let's do baby steps.
-
Jesus never ran down the rich young ruler.
-
He never compromised his message.
-
He never went and said, and here's the crazy thing, the rich
-
young ruler could not be born again.
-
Yet he did not say, OK, let me give him a truth he can handle.
-
If you can't handle the simplicity of lordship, then
-
you're not handling anything in the church because as long as
-
your life is your own, then you're not going to access the
-
Kingdom. Say Amen anyway.
-
Hallelujah. And again, we are without
-
excuse. We have the reigning spirit.
-
This dispensation we're in is an amazing dispensation because
-
those that preceded us, other than Adam, the first Adam, we
-
are living in a fullness that no other generation other than Adam
-
and Eve have never lived in it. We are and there will be a
-
generation that will do more, will be in something more than
-
us and that is when Jesus returns to the earth and he
-
reigns on the earth where people will be born again, have the
-
Spirit of God within them and can physically see Jesus.
-
That's pretty amazing. We are in that one, ours is.
-
We live it by faith. We do not physically see Jesus,
-
but we know him by the Spirit. We know him by the Word.
-
We know we're alive unto God. We are new creature in Christ.
-
The Holy Spirit lives on earth. It's an amazing time to live.
-
In fact, man, those clouds of witnesses that are looking over
-
like if only I had had that, I was in the earth, if I had only
-
had that, if I had only been able to live in that capacity
-
that way. Oh, the advantages you have is
-
what they're saying, not. Oh, and the advantage is not you
-
can do anything sinful and it doesn't matter because Christ
-
paid the paid the price. That is not what they're saying.
-
They're saying you are alive to God.
-
We were not. You have the Holy Spirit in you
-
and upon you. We only had it upon the
-
prophets, the priests and the kings.
-
Us regular people never had it. And yet you have the spirit
-
within the spirit upon your spirit's changed.
-
You know your royalty, you know that you submitted to the King.
-
You have the third person of the Godhead on what is the problem?
-
How is sin even an issue? Because when you have a reigning
-
spirit like, hey, you're like, what issue?
-
Come on, what issue? What issue do we have?
-
We have no issues. Go ahead, look at you and say I
-
have no issues. We have no issues.
-
Jesus has destroyed your victim card, destroyed it, burned it,
-
crucified, nailed it to the cross, completely exposed it.
-
You are without excuse. And you know who else's victim
-
card he's? He's destroyed the ones that are
-
still outside his Kingdom. They don't have an excuse
-
either. He's like, I've wiped it all
-
out. So we need to carry our victor
-
card. Come on, we are victors.
-
What issue do we even have? We don't even have an issue
-
because when issues come, they have to go, man.
-
We have the reigning spirit. Hallelujah.
-
The Lord was intentional after the fall of Adam, because when
-
God made man in his image according to his likeness, He
-
gave him dominion or rule. But when Adam ate the fruit, he
-
should have never eaten. Because God said you want to
-
prove you love me, don't eat this one tree.
-
You can have the rest because I love you and I provided for you.
-
I do what I say, so I'm asking you to do what I say.
-
So don't eat this fruit, cause the day you eat you'll die.
-
And when Adam ate the fruit, death came into the earth.
-
He get he abdicated his rulership and throne.
-
He gave his dominion to the devil.
-
The devil received his dominion or his rule, but did not receive
-
his likeness. The devil did not transform into
-
the image of man, but he did receive his authority.
-
That's why the Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 4 four that he's
-
was, is considered the God of this world.
-
He's the the one who's in authority.
-
He's the one who is controlling the systems of the world, the
-
things of darkness. He is the leader, he is the
-
king. He is the king of of darkness.
-
He is the king of, of disobedience.
-
He is the father of lies. But God, I said, but God being
-
rich in his mercy, said my seed is corrupted because of the
-
first Adam. I'll have to bring another seed.
-
And we see this in Genesis chapter 3, verse 15.
-
The the amplified says it this way.
-
And I will put enmity, open hostility, say open hostility.
-
I mean, if you don't have open hostility towards the things of
-
the devil, this is a problem. He said.
-
I will put enmity, open hostility between you, that's
-
the serpent and the woman between your seed.
-
That's the offspring of the devil and her seed.
-
Notice it doesn't say seeds, it says seed.
-
He shall fatally bruise your head and you shall only bruise
-
his heel. Now I love this translation.
-
It says it this way really pretty awesome because it really
-
gives a great illustration of what Jesus is what is being done
-
in the the latter part of this first because again, when we
-
hear that he will crush your head, but you'll bruise his heel
-
and we always think a bruise in the heel is that you know, he
-
would he bore by his stripes. He bore sickness and disease.
-
You know the devil you know, put him on a cross.
-
That's the bruising. But really look at this context
-
is even more clear. This translation says that this
-
way I do not know what it is. It's the ABP plus and it means
-
this and hatred will be put between you and between the
-
woman between your seed and and be her seed.
-
He will heed, He will give heed to your head and you will give
-
heed to his heel. Now, this is really a great
-
illustration because in essence, he says when this is all said
-
and done, when you look up his, his heel will be on you.
-
In essence, you're going to give heed to his head.
-
He's the head, he's the Conqueror, he's the king of
-
kings. He's the one over you.
-
And guess where you'll be when he looks down, He'll see you up
-
underneath his feet. You'll be under his feet.
-
You'll be given heed to his head, his authority, his power,
-
his dominion. You'll be submitted, and you
-
know what you'll be to him. And when he looks at you and he
-
takes account of you, he'll see that you are far beneath my
-
feet. You have been whipped, stripped,
-
and I have received that, that which the first Adam lost.
-
Glory to God. So say the seed is coming, and
-
the seed has come. Galatians 316 says now the
-
promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed.
-
He does not say to his seeds as referring to many, but rather to
-
one. And to your seed, that is, that
-
is, that is. Now Christ is not the last name
-
of Jesus Christ is the title of Jesus.
-
It is the Greek word that is equivalent to a Hebrew word,
-
which is Messiah. So when we say Messiah or we say
-
Christ, it means the same thing in its meaning.
-
It means the anointed one and his anointing.
-
But what does that mean? It means that God anoints his
-
kings. We see this description when man
-
rejected God in First Samuel chapter as their king, and they
-
wanted their own man king, a person they could see on the
-
earth. And the Lord says, give the
-
people what they want, Samuel, for they've not rejected you,
-
but they've rejected me as king. And when Samuel went and gave
-
them the person they were thinking of, they received a guy
-
by the name of Saul from the tribe of Benjamin.
-
But in order for him to be the king over God's nation, Israel,
-
Samuel had to anoint his head with oil, which is as a type and
-
shadow of the Holy Ghost, so that the anointing are the
-
presence of God. Because God is the one who has
-
the rightful place of dominion and authority over humans.
-
Man was never given that right. Man's dominion was always
-
limited to the things created on the earth, but not to humans
-
themselves. God is the ruler of man, so man
-
can never rule over another man unless God was involved.
-
God never intended it in the 1st place, but when Adam ate the
-
fruit, it became necessary in order to safeguard humanity.
-
Now he didn't need to do it for his nation, but they rejected
-
him and so he shows them the Spirit of God had to come upon
-
them in order for them to rule. Yet Solomon or Samuel or Saul,
-
excuse me, King Saul failed to stay in compliance with the
-
anointing he had. The anointing on him can be
-
disrupted if you do not obey the king.
-
That's why the prophet said God desires obedience more than.
-
Now let me just say this. The minute you obey, you've
-
already included a sacrifice. In fact, you cannot actually
-
have obedience outside of sacrifice.
-
But you can have sacrifice outside of obedience.
-
So well, how's that possible? The minute I obey God, I
-
sacrificed my will and my way of doing it.
-
But I can do sacrifices to try to get God's attention and not
-
be obeying Him at all. I can be doing principles, but
-
my heart is far from the process.
-
Are you hearing me? So the Lord's like I desire
-
obedience more than sacrifice. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
-
So the anointed one in his anointing, this is what happens
-
to kings. What did Jesus say in Luke?
-
He said the Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed
-
me. And the Father, when he was
-
baptized in the Jordan and came up, the heavens opened up and
-
the Spirit of God came upon him. That was the anointing.
-
He didn't have natural oil being poured on him by John the
-
Baptist or any prophet of his time.
-
Although John was a prophet, He was the greatest prophet.
-
Actually Jesus said this no prophets as great as John, but
-
yet he's the least in the Kingdom of heaven.
-
Are you hearing me? So John did not pour oil on
-
Jesus head The the he didn't get a type and shadow.
-
He had the Holy Spirit come and he poured on him without
-
measure. And then the declaration from
-
the King of all creation, the Father him says, says, this is
-
my Son, in whom I am what? Well, please, this is the
-
announcement. Here's my son.
-
This is the King that is taking back dominion for humanity on
-
the earth. And did he do it?
-
Come on, did he do it? I said, did he do it?
-
Jesus understood He was the seed in John chapter 12 verse 23 and
-
25. The easy reader version says it
-
this way. Jesus said to them, The time has
-
come for the Son of man to receive his glory.
-
It is a fact that a grain. It is a fact that a grain of
-
wheat must fall to the ground and die before it can grow and
-
produce much more wheat. If it never dies.
-
It will never be more than a single seed if it never dies.
-
And here's the thing, if Jesus had not yielded himself to this,
-
he would have never died on the earth.
-
For the first Adam had a command from the Father.
-
You can eat from any tree of the garden, but of the tree of the
-
knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat for the day.
-
Say the day. For the day you eat, you will
-
surely. So if Adam had never eaten the
-
fruit, where would he be today? So Adam had eternal life at
-
creation. He didn't need eternal life, He
-
was living eternal life. He stepped out of eternal life
-
and moved over into death. So if the first Adam had eternal
-
life, then the last Adam, a man who knew no sin because the
-
wages of sin is Jesus said I only do what the Father says.
-
Why? Because the first Adam did not
-
and he died. If I follow suit, death would
-
come to me, also me, then death to God.
-
But God only does his word because that's his character.
-
I said that's his character. So Jesus keeping his word could
-
have never. And if the devil would have
-
known this, he never would have put him on a cross, because we
-
would be seeing Jesus today. But Jesus has to die.
-
Why? Because a payment must be made
-
so that you can live again. I can live again, and all those
-
who preceded us can live again. Who have, who believed the day
-
would come that a seed would show up.
-
So Jesus says, listen, unless I die, I'll remain alone.
-
And at the end, at the bottom, is this.
-
The conclusion of this thought would be this.
-
Should Jesus had not died for our sins, then the Father could
-
have rightly judged all of humanity.
-
We would have been thrown into the lake of fire.
-
The prison system of the Kingdom justly and on the planet would
-
have been Jesus reigning by himself.
-
But God was obligated to make a way for man because he said, let
-
us make man in our image according to our likeness.
-
And even though a man destroyed that path by rebelling, God open
-
another path through a different seed.
-
And you've heard Pastor Roddy minister here, the King Khan.
-
Are you the king Khan? I said, are you the king Khan?
-
Are you the king Khan? Well, if you're the King Khan,
-
then that means you must reign and you have to remind yourself
-
you're reigning. And in this world, there's a lot
-
of stuff out there, but that's not what we focus on.
-
He goes on and says in verse 25, whoever loses the life they have
-
now or whoever loves the life they have now will lose it.
-
But whoever is willing to give up their life in this world will
-
keep it. They will have eternal life.
-
You have to choose daily to say I am not running after the
-
passions of this world and its pursuits.
-
You must abandoned those thoughts.
-
And I'm telling you, the Kingdom life is way different than the
-
American life or the American Dream.
-
And the American Dream is not part of the gospel.
-
We have to learn a whole new set.
-
But we have been conditioned to the American dream.
-
Good job, great benefits, nice house, great retirement, and so
-
many live this way. And in order for us to obtain
-
those four, we're going to have a great education.
-
And our world's not gotten better because of the education,
-
because of the university systems, has not gotten better,
-
has only grown worse. I mean, they have become highly
-
educated. Thieves, criminals, backbiters,
-
gossipers, slanderers, mockers. Yeah.
-
And yet we want to pursue their lifestyles.
-
When you actually have the reigning spirit, you actually
-
have the life they want. I don't want to live in such a
-
way that they're like, well, you look like the rest of the world,
-
but it's like, how are you like that?
-
That they're not confused with the possessions I could have
-
because God has caused me to prosper.
-
But there will be something more tangible about my life that they
-
would be like. You're different, Come on, are
-
you different? The Bible calls you peculiar,
-
actually, and you need to stay in the box of peculiar.
-
Now, I'm not talking some of you just being weird for weird's
-
sake. Quit being weird for weird's
-
sake. We're talking peculiar in a holy
-
sake. Some of y'all can identify with
-
my statement when we're talking about some things there, you
-
know, don't be weird for the sake of weird.
-
Be peculiar because you're not of this world because you have a
-
reigning spirit in you. Amen.
-
Come on, what's Romans 811 say? Can I remind you today, But if
-
the latter part, but if the I mean the beginning, but if the
-
spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells.
-
If conditional statement, which means you have to do what's
-
necessary, can I just say it this way?
-
Do not get offended because God requires you to do something.
-
Now let me just say it this way and do not get upset because God
-
requires you actually to do a lot.
-
I don't get to pick what God is requiring me to do or bring down
-
a truth because I'm not comfortable with that truth.
-
And I do it a different way because my heart's there to do
-
it that way. Now here's the thing, if your
-
heart's not in it, it doesn't matter what you do.
-
Heart is always the the the component that has to be there.
-
But you understand you're not in the Kingdom of God unless you
-
believe with your heart, confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord.
-
That's the requirement. It's the call.
-
But we know that people will say, but Lord, didn't we
-
prophecy in your didn't we cast a didn't we?
-
And he's going to say depart from me.
-
I never knew you workers of lawlessness, meaning you did
-
actions that were contrary to what I was saying.
-
Yet you're saying you're mine. But I know you're not mine.
-
So there's a requirement for salvation.
-
A requirement for you to believe with all your heart that Jesus
-
Christ came, died on the cross, His blood was spilled for your
-
wrong transgression, your wrongdoing.
-
It paid the price once and for all.
-
And you must believe in your heart and confess it with your
-
mouth. Jesus is supreme and authority.
-
He is my Lord. I follow him with everything.
-
And then he says, now you're going to love me, love me this
-
way. You love me with all your heart,
-
all your soul, all your mind, all your strength.
-
And if you love me, you'll keep my word now.
-
Well, my heart, I just think it's really what my heart is.
-
And you know, my heart is to love him with all my spirit, but
-
my soul is optional because I like to keep some of my
-
thinking. And as far as, you know, how
-
often I physically manifest in his presence called his church,
-
you know, that's really up to me.
-
It's whatever my what's in my heart.
-
It's not what was in your heart. It's what his word is.
-
And you need to get your heart right with His word.
-
Are you supposed to forgive others?
-
Then you got to get your heart right.
-
Well, you know what, in this situation, you know I'm just,
-
what do you mean? You're just get your heart right
-
with His word. And then I could go on a list of
-
things, a list of things that He says we are to do and yet we
-
don't feel like it's our heart to do.
-
So it must not mean that what he's saying we don't have to do,
-
because really all that matters is what's in our heart.
-
Well, you need to have His word hidden in your.
-
OK, Are we clear? Not yet.
-
But I'm for those who have ears, let them.
-
But if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead
-
dwells in you, this is an amazing thing.
-
I said. This is amazing.
-
Death could not hold you down. So how in the world will we live
-
substandard life in the Spirit on the planet and say that the
-
Holy Spirit's only ability is to remind us we're children of God
-
so that when we die, we go to heaven?
-
But he really has no other power concerning any other issues of
-
the world. He definitely can save us from
-
our sin. The blood of Jesus can do that.
-
But as far as overcoming obstacles, offenses, failures,
-
you know, forgiveness, giving all kinds of things, he can't do
-
that. We're just glad we're going to
-
go to heaven when we die. He can't stop sickness and
-
disease on the planet the Spirit went think of.
-
We don't even think about this. Jesus was never separated from
-
the Father. Never.
-
I mean, I don't even know how to describe this.
-
There's really no tangible way to describe this.
-
None. I mean, we freak out over a
-
missed meal. Our stomach starts and we're
-
like, I got to get some food, but we had to get me some.
-
I mean, we'll change emotionally, right?
-
Like we got to get some food. This ain't, I am not handling
-
this right here. Well, then we just call them
-
food. Jesus is separated from the
-
Father for the first time ever. And we like, well, it was only
-
three days. Well, I could say that to you if
-
you don't eat for three days, but most of the time it's like
-
we got to get some food. I mean, you, that was three
-
hours ago, and you've experienced that feeling and fed
-
that feeling multiple times. But yeah, here's the Lord.
-
Never. I mean, how long does three days
-
seem? I don't know.
-
But in the process, he must believe that somebody's coming
-
to get me. My deliverance is coming.
-
And did he come? I said, did he come?
-
He broke him out. Now, when the Holy Spirit comes,
-
it's jailbreak, Tom, right? I mean, he'll bust out everyone
-
that is wrongfully accused at this point.
-
Now, one is Jesus. The rest were rightfully
-
accused. However, they were believing for
-
redemption and they were in a whole nother holding block of
-
the prison. And as a result of that, they
-
were given a pardon. And he took them all out that
-
day. I said he took them all out that
-
day. So the Holy Spirit not just only
-
resurrected Jesus, he resurrected a whole captive of
-
captivity, pulls them out, and then he is going to dwell in
-
you. Yeah.
-
Come on. Hallelujah.
-
I mean, you understand Abraham has been dead for a long time.
-
I mean, separated from the planet, he is away from God.
-
He is in paradise. He's in the grave.
-
He is there and the Holy Spirit's like, I got you, let's
-
go. I mean, what situation you in?
-
I mean, we're talking thousands of thousands of years that
-
Abraham's like I'm getting out today.
-
I mean, what you've got going on that the Holy Ghost in you can't
-
get you out. How are you not raining?
-
I mean, you're not waiting on the Holy Ghost.
-
He's in you the one who's able to raise any dead situation is
-
in you. I wish it was a Hallelujah man
-
first John 4/17. He says by this love is
-
perfected with us so that we may have confidence in the day of
-
judgment, because as he is so also our where where right here
-
on the planet. As He is, so are we.
-
Well, what is He now? He's raised up, seated in
-
heavenly places. He's sitted at the right hand of
-
the Father. We are raised up and seated with
-
Him as He reigned in this life when He walked on the earth.
-
We get to reign in this life as we walked in the earth because
-
we're children of the King. We are royalty.
-
We are royal bloodline. I mean, my gosh, whatever's
-
going on in the planet really don't matter to us now.
-
We're going to do our part, but we can always rejoice.
-
I have the reigning spirit. I'm alive unto God.
-
I have the Holy Spirit. I have the one who conquers
-
death, hell and the grave in me. He's in me.
-
Wow, what a revelation every day.
-
I mean, how does this not make you Jack excited now if all you
-
want to do is barely get along? The only reason this doesn't
-
make a believer excited is because #1A believer doesn't
-
know who they are. They believe the religion of
-
Jesus, and they just want to know where they're going to go
-
when they die, and they want the grace to cover them so they can
-
live sinful yet still go. That's called the Esau effect
-
and the Esau wants the blessing without the responsibility, does
-
not want the accountability of the position or the birthright.
-
He didn't care about his birthright.
-
There are many coming and saying Lord, come into my heart and
-
save me. They don't care about their
-
birthright. They want the blessing and that
-
is not going to hell because Esau, when he does not get the
-
blessing, although he still received an inheritance, had
-
this in his heart the whole time after he cried to his father.
-
Many are crying to the father while on the inside saying I
-
can't believe they did that to me.
-
Oh Lord, bless me, bless me, bless me.
-
Lord, heal me, help me get that promotion.
-
I tell you, that person over there, I just can't stand them.
-
I don't even know why they're coming to this church.
-
That's called Esau. And it says he sought for
-
repentance in tears but could not.
-
Because the minute dad says, son, I've given it to your
-
older, to your younger brother, he leaves the room saying when
-
dad dies, I'm going to kill my brother.
-
Now why does he want to kill him?
-
So he can take the blessing? 1st Corinthians 316 says this.
-
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the
-
Spirit of God dwells in you? Do you not know that?
-
I mean, really, this should become a scripture We should
-
probably put on our refrigerators.
-
This is the scripture we need to put ourselves in remembrance
-
because you know, when you're in the house and you want to, you
-
know, do things fleshly, do you not remember that you're the
-
temple of the Holy Ghost? When you're at work, man, you
-
want to go off. Do you not know that you are the
-
temple of the Holy Ghost right now?
-
Because the seed doesn't function this way.
-
He has a reigning spirit. He has something else he can tap
-
into or she can tap into. But again, the problem is, do
-
you not know Paul writing to the church?
-
Do you not know that you are the temple of the Spirit of God,
-
temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells within you?
-
Well, it's because James becomes our problem.
-
James 122 to 25 God's Word translation says it this way,
-
says do what God's word, do what God's word says.
-
Don't merely listen to it or you will fool yourselves.
-
If someone listens to God's Word but doesn't do what it says, he
-
is like a person who looks at his face in a mirror, studies
-
his features, goes away, and immediately forgets what he
-
looks like. However, the person who
-
continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free
-
and who remains committed to them will be blessed.
-
People like that don't merely listen and forget.
-
They actually do what God's teachings say.
-
They actually do it. I said, well, how's this apply
-
to me? You're in this room, you're
-
hearing what I'm saying. You know how you should respond
-
in situations. Yet when you leave, do you do it
-
his way? Because the temple of you're the
-
temple of the Holy Ghost, and the Spirit of God dwells in you,
-
and he's talking to your spirit the only way the Kingdom would
-
do it. And do you yield to that, or do
-
you yield to your flesh? I've been around some people in
-
the 20 years I've planted Anchor Faith Church, and I've seen them
-
thinking they have forgotten who they are because what you're
-
saying now is not from Scripture.
-
You are justified. And it's amazing how believers
-
will do like the world does. They will put Pretty Little
-
words to talk about nasty things.
-
You know what a buzzword is to believers right now?
-
Passion, which really should be flesh because a person can be
-
passionate about something, but if it's fleshly, it's fleshly.
-
That's just fleshly, right? So we use these little terms,
-
you know, to try to, you know. Well, and then why do we say
-
this? We're really good at this one.
-
Well, the Lord knows my heart. You bet He does.
-
You bet He does. Now at the end of the day, you
-
can be here and you can say, well, I mean, if you want to
-
have a stance on anything in the natural, I'll always take you to
-
Scripture because I have no opinion in the matter.
-
But I can give you God's reproductive right standard.
-
I can do that. I can do that.
-
I can give it to you. We use terms like sexual
-
freedom. That's not in the Kingdom.
-
There's only one sexual freedom. It's between a husband and a
-
wife in the covenant, a marriage.
-
Everything else is considered sin.
-
They he doesn't even call it. There is words like fornication.
-
It's not called making love to the one you love outside.
-
It's called fornication, and if you're sleeping with someone
-
outside the covenant of your marriage, it's called adultery.
-
These are the terms that guide you, but we don't want to use
-
those terms because we want to use terms that seem less.
-
They're softer. Now, here's the problem.
-
I understand that the world is going to make decisions that
-
line with sin, and the Bible is very clear in the last days, the
-
last. These are doctrines of demons.
-
People in the last days, they're going to pretty words up to make
-
them seem like they're less. But the reality is we'll never
-
fix anything until we get to the root.
-
It's called sin, and there's only one answer to sin, Jesus.
-
There's only one answer to sin, Jesus.
-
Now the problem is, is that when you talk about Kingdom stuff,
-
they try to put you in a box so that you look like you're
-
against everyone. I'm not against anyone.
-
People can make mistakes. People are going to live away.
-
I'm not surprised when people are in sin, especially sinners.
-
And but I can say, you know what, Jesus paid the price and
-
you can receive forgiveness. And not only can you receive
-
forgiveness for anything that you've done contrary to the
-
Kingdom, but then he'll put a spirit in you, a new one that
-
looks like him and acts like him.
-
Then he'll put his own spirit in you.
-
And then you will be free from having to make the do those
-
choices ever again. But we come to church, we hear,
-
and then we walk out and forget what we look like In essence.
-
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the
-
Spirit of God lives within you? John 1714 says this.
-
He said I've given them your word and the world has hated
-
them because they are not of the world.
-
Even as I'm not of the world, I do not ask you to take them out
-
of the world, but to keep them from the evil. 1 They are not of
-
the world. Even as I'm not of the world,
-
Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth.
-
As You sent me into the world, I also sent them into the world.
-
For their sake I sanctify myself that they themselves may also be
-
sanctified in truth. I do not ask on behalf of these
-
alone, but for those who also who believe in Me through their
-
word, that they may all be what One, even as You, Father, are in
-
me and I in You, that they may also be in us, so that the world
-
may believe that you sent me the glory which you have given me.
-
I've given to them the glory I said, the glory that you've
-
given me. I've given to them that they may
-
be what One just as we are one. I am them and you and Me, that
-
they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that
-
you sent me and love them even as you have loved me.
-
So he's saying, listen, I know they're in this world, but they
-
get to function like I do because as I was, so are they.
-
Now that we've given them my spirit, now that they have the
-
glory that I have, what is the glory he has?
-
The Holy Spirit came upon him. He was made perfect.
-
I mean, he was God in the flesh. Then we are a new creature in
-
Christ. We become a child of God.
-
Once we make Jesus our Lord, we are new species of being in the
-
spirit. Our spirit man is without sin
-
like Jesus. Then the Holy Spirit comes upon
-
us and anoints us like it anointed Jesus and we get to
-
rule and reign in this life just like he did.
-
But Jesus functioned as a king on the earth and reigned and had
-
the reigning spirit about him because he only did what the
-
Father says. And he said that's why we're
-
one. And he's saying now that I've
-
given them the new spirit in their in their spirit, they're a
-
new spirit. Then I've given them the Holy
-
Ghost that lives in them and comes upon them.
-
Then they can be one like me and you and do exactly what I say so
-
that when they're in the earth, everyone would say you have a
-
reigning spirit about you. How is it that you're in a world
-
you're not even of? How do you function like this
-
instead of being captivated by our old thought life?
-
We don't think like that anymore.
-
What's it say in First Corinthians 212?
-
The amplifier says now we have not received the Spirit that
-
belongs to the world, but the Holy Spirit who's from God-given
-
to us, that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the
-
gifts of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly
-
bestowed on us by God. Y'all doing all right because
-
you know what I am not. Well that you would have
-
Democratic and Republican talking points more than the
-
word of God should not be your lifestyle.
-
You need to know the Kingdom. You need to know the Kingdom.
-
But we have not the Bible. Basic English says it this way,
-
but we have not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which
-
comes from God, so that we may have knowledge of the things
-
which are freely given to us. Do you have the spirit of the
-
world? Do you have the spirit of the
-
world? No.
-
Do you have the Spirit of God? Amen.
-
So the Spirit of God doesn't think like the spirit of the
-
world. In fact, the contemporary
-
English version says it this way.
-
But God has given us His spirit. That's why we don't think the
-
same way that the people of this world think, because God's word
-
is renewing our minds. I said He is renewing our minds.
-
He's renewing our minds, living in a different way.
-
He's redeemed us from the curse of the law.
-
He's given us the reigning spirit so that we do not
-
function, process. We're not emotional in the
-
flesh. Our emotions side with the
-
spirit. When our flesh says cry, we jump
-
in the spirit and and walk in joy.
-
When our flesh laughs at evil and things done wrong, our
-
spirit mourns and we allow our emotions to go to mourning.
-
Then we're grieved at the things that grieve the spirit.
-
We do not rejoice in unrighteousness, but we rejoice
-
with the truth because we have the reigning spirit.
-
Timothy 17 says this Young's literal translation for God did
-
not give you a spirit of, but of and of and of sound mind.
-
You have power, love and of sound mind.
-
And what's happening is, is because we aren't listening to
-
the Word, we're not allowing the Word to renew our minds, then
-
the deceptions of the enemy are trying to pull us away.
-
As we read that, those of Christian faith are going to
-
fall away and listen to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons
-
because the world will use terms that will seem positive, but
-
they're actually death. I'm not condemning people
-
because if I did all of you be condemned, the majority of you
-
were fornicators, you were adulterers, some were
-
homosexuals. All of us did things that were
-
displeasing to the Kingdom of God.
-
But God, I said, but God. And it would be a, it would be
-
malpractice if we did not communicate the standard of the
-
Kingdom. Now, at the end of the day, you
-
can do like you do your doctor when the doctor says you have
-
cancer. Now, for most people, they just
-
believe that doctor right out the gate, especially if it's a
-
family doctor, someone who has helped them through the law all
-
the while, help them with their health and stuff.
-
And they usually don't question that.
-
But man, when it comes to the church and you have a pastor
-
that's helped you walk through trials and all of a sudden say,
-
man, your thoughts are cancerous right now, I'm going to go get a
-
second opinion. Go get one.
-
Go find another church and get the other opinion because you
-
can probably find a pastor that doesn't want to talk to you
-
about your cancer and let you die in your cancer and then at
-
your funeral say, oh, you know, they really love the Lord.
-
All the while I knew that they had offended what they were
-
offended with someone and it had a root of bitterness and it's
-
ultimately what killed them. But I can't say that that's even
-
if they know it. It's amazing.
-
We don't argue with our dentist. We don't argue with our doctor.
-
We don't argue with our we may argue with our boss some, but
-
usually those other, you know, mechanics, those things, we tend
-
to take their word at face value, But then the one that
-
prays for you spends time giving the word to you.
-
Then when they're like, man, hey, this is this action is not
-
right. Then all of a sudden we get
-
super spiritual. You're on the same plane.
-
That's not a reigning spirit. First John 44 last Scripture is
-
this you are from God, little children, and have overcome
-
them. What have you done?
-
Come on, what have you done? Because greater is he who was in
-
you than he who was in. First of all, for most
-
believers, most, they'll live their whole Christian life never
-
dealing with the devil. Most will live their whole
-
Christian life never dealing with the devil, because they
-
never overcome their personal flesh.
-
And the devil doesn't have to come see you when you let your
-
flesh win. Never has to come see you
-
because you were his seed. I said you were his seed.
-
You were his seed in the spirit. You performed your that function
-
in your soul realm through the way you thought, behaved, acted,
-
spoke. You performed it in your
-
physical body by the things you put in it and the things you did
-
with it. But God, when the call to come
-
into the Kingdom came, you got to the cross with your body,
-
your soul, and your spirit. And you said, I want to come in.
-
And Jesus says you can, but the spirits in you, the spirit in
-
you cannot. So in order for you to go
-
through the threshold of the door, and Jesus is the door, he
-
said, I'm going to shove that spirit out of you.
-
And the minute you enter and I'm going to put a new one in it,
-
then I'm going to put my spirit in it.
-
But the problem is you're bringing in remnants that were
-
from that other seed. It's still in your mind, it's in
-
your emotions, it's in your decision making, and it's even
-
screaming in your body. But the spirit I've put in you
-
is way more powerful than the remnants of those seeds.
-
Way more powerful that if you yield to it, Oh my gosh, it will
-
clean up your mind quicker than you could even imagine.
-
It will get your body right and restore your body like never
-
before. But you've got to yield.
-
You have to yield to the spirit. You have to allow the spirit to
-
reign in you. You have to do it.
-
And he says, now listen, you overcome, because even when the
-
devil comes attacking you, clean yourself, spirit, our soul and
-
body. And the devil starts to show
-
back up. Won't matter.
-
It won't matter because I could do you like I did my own son.
-
I led him into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil because
-
in him was the ability to conquer him.
-
The whole it was never even a fight.
-
I said it was never even a fight because he had the reigning
-
spirit. He could always stop the enemy
-
at the temptation and never let him pass the temptation stage.
-
And that's what you possess. You possess the same spirit that
-
can cause you to never pass the temptation stage of the enemy's
-
attacks. Never.
-
The temptation comes. I got that.
-
I'll take that thought. It's gone.
-
I beat it up, throw it out. I can run it.
-
I can run its course. I get it out of here.
-
It doesn't own me. I do not have to do it.
-
Are you hearing me? Amen.
-
I don't have to follow that way. I don't have to live that way.
-
I have the reigning spirit. I've been delivered.
-
I take every thought of the when The deceptive thoughts, the
-
seducing thoughts, the doctrines of demons, the twisting of the
-
Word all. I can take them all captive.
-
I can cast them down. I clearly hear the Spirit of the
-
Lord. I hear the Word of God.
-
I have the clarity. I'm not subject to it.
-
I'm not one. Cities that are going to be
-
moved to the wayside fall away. I have the reigning spirit.
-
I've done the work. I do the work.
-
I cast down my thoughts. I crucify my flesh.
-
I submit to the Word. I have the reigning spirit.
-
And it was powerful enough to raise up God.
-
Anything dead in my life, He can resurrect it to life.
-
He can resurrect my thoughts. He can resurrect my body.
-
He can resurrect anything so that I live the fullness of
-
Christ and reign in this life right now.
