  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Glory to God, say I have the

  4. faith of God. Say I have the God kind of

  5. faith. Come on, say it again.

  6. I have the God kind of faith. Come on, Hallelujah.

  7. Do you have the God kind of faith?

  8. That's what we've been talking about, Amen.

  9. And I just believe we have to ask ourselves, do do we really

  10. have the God kind of faith? Do we see our lives and the

  11. faith working in our lives the way that he describes what faith

  12. is through the Word of God, Amen.

  13. Because we say many people think they have faith, but true

  14. biblical faith can be found only through what the Word of God

  15. says faith is, Amen. What does the word of God say

  16. faith is? And last week we started our

  17. journey talking about Kingdom faith and that we have all been

  18. given the measure. Say I've been given the measure

  19. and we talked about the fact that though we've been given the

  20. measure of faith, each and every one of us are responsible,

  21. right, to determine what return or what measure our faith will

  22. become. Because we said last Sunday when

  23. Pastor was, well, not last Sunday, but the Sunday before

  24. when he talked about the seed of the word.

  25. And we talked about the fact that there should always be your

  26. face should always be producing something within your life that

  27. you can tangibly see and what it's up to you whether that is

  28. going to be 3060 or a hundredfold return, right?

  29. And so the measures been given to us, the seed of faith or the

  30. seed of the word has been given to each and every one of us.

  31. And we talked about the fact that it came the minute we

  32. believed in our heart and confess with our mouth that

  33. Jesus Christ is Lord. The seed of faith was planted.

  34. The seed of faith then can begin to germinate or grow or increase

  35. within our hearts and in our lives.

  36. But we see that there were several things that just as

  37. Pastor said out of Mark Four, that try to come in and choke

  38. the word out of our life. And so everyone of us have to

  39. determine, are we going to let our hearts be a place where

  40. nothing come on? Are we going to have good

  41. ground? Because if we let the Word or

  42. the seed of faith that's been planted within our heart,

  43. planted in good ground, then we should be able to expect and see

  44. 3060 or a hundredfold return of our life producing that which we

  45. believe. So we talked about last week how

  46. faith came, and we talked about the fact that faith is the

  47. exchange or the currency of the Kingdom.

  48. So any promise that God says that belongs to us as a child of

  49. God in His Word, how are we going to receive that promise?

  50. We have to receive it by hearing what the Word says about it.

  51. We have to then believe, believe that word that he spoke.

  52. And the evidence of us believing the word that was spoke is that

  53. we will speak it out. Not only will we speak it out,

  54. we will act it out because faith without action is what dead.

  55. And we went through all of these things, but biblical faith only

  56. will come from the Word of God. Biblical faith.

  57. This is why we have to ask ourselves, is our faith built

  58. upon what Grandma and Mama has told us?

  59. Is our faith built upon what religion has taught us?

  60. Is our faith built upon our experiences or our opinions of

  61. what faith is? Or is our faith true biblical

  62. faith built upon what the Word says?

  63. Faith is what faith looks like, and we gave a huge demonstration

  64. last week of those that walked in faith in the Word of God,

  65. Amen. Out of Hebrews 11, the hall of

  66. faith is what it's called, Hebrews Chapter 11, and we read

    Hebrews 11 chapter mention

  67. verses one through 40. Yes, we did.

  68. Yes, we did. All right.

  69. And we saw a true picture of what biblical faith looks like,

  70. OK. And the fact that a lot of times

  71. what we saw with those who actually walked faith out in

  72. their life, it was always putting them in a situation to

  73. where they were in the unknown. They were in, they lived in the

  74. unknown. But the way American church and

  75. Christianity looks today, nobody wants to live that way because

  76. every example that I see through scripture of people living by

  77. faith, they were in a peculiar situation or circumstance or

  78. something was taking place that they would not be able to live

  79. by. And we talked about this by

  80. sight. God did not create us to live by

  81. sight, He created us to live by faith and we read many

  82. scriptures where he says the righteous should live by faith,

  83. right? That those we should walk by

  84. faith and not by sight. The just shall live by faith,

  85. right? We read all of these scriptures

  86. and so therefore we said this last week that true biblical

  87. faith, and we have to say it that way because so many people

  88. have what they say faith is, but it is in a lot of crazy

  89. thinking, OK, we said this, that faith is a spiritual law in the

  90. Kingdom of God. It's a spiritual law.

  91. And that law started the minute we believed in our heart and

  92. confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

  93. The same way we we heard the word, we had to believe, receive

  94. the word that we needed a Savior, that we had to believe

  95. the word that we needed a Savior, and then we had to

  96. confess Him as Lord of our life. That is a spiritual law in the

  97. Kingdom or the law of faith. And that is how for the rest of

  98. your life you will receive the promises from God through that

  99. law of what we could call believing you've received,

  100. speaking it out, and then acting upon it.

  101. And so we saw last week as well that we have to be those that

  102. live by faith. That means that we are going to

  103. have to build our life upon faith.

  104. To live by it means we build our life upon it.

  105. And we said this, that faith was what?

  106. A firm persuasion based upon what you believe and accept this

  107. as truth because there's many people that believe Jesus Christ

  108. is their Savior, but that's the only truth that they believe

  109. about Him. So there's many truths within

  110. His Word or promises within His word that belongs to every

  111. believer, but you can only believe Him based upon certain

  112. things that you want to receive from Him.

  113. And many people choose not to receive healing from Him, even

  114. though it's a promise that belongs to all who will believe.

  115. Do you see what I'm saying? So it's based upon this firm

  116. persuasion is based upon what you believe and what you accept

  117. is truth. You know, we don't get to just

  118. choose our own truth or live our own truth as a believer are the

  119. truth is supposed to be formed in our life from the word of

  120. God, not from what some psychiatrist says or what some

  121. psychologist says or what some book says on how we are to raise

  122. our children or all of these coaches that are now coaches on

  123. Instagram, life coaches. My life coach comes straight

  124. from the word of God. This is what I build my life

  125. upon. So we saw that faith is a is a

  126. firm for persuasion based upon what you believe, what you have

  127. accepted as truth and that you adhere to it.

  128. That you adhere to it so firmly that not only do you just

  129. believe it and adhere to it, it actually you allow it to govern

  130. your life, life, right? This faith is supposed to govern

  131. what we think, what we say and what we do.

  132. It's supposed to govern what we think, what we say and what we

  133. do. So our lives and what we, how we

  134. talk, what we're meditating on and the actions or the fruit of

  135. our life will be evident. You will be able to see if

  136. people are truly living by what they believe because there will

  137. be evidence of it within their lives, right?

  138. Every day. And so he says it this, we say

  139. it this way too. It's an assurance.

  140. It's the reality of your what you are believing.

  141. It's confidence or conviction, right?

  142. A firm persuasion or a confident expectation.

  143. This is true biblical faith and we saw this out of Hebrews 11/1

  144. and three, I want to reread it Hebrews 11/1 and three, it says

  145. now faith is the substance or assurance.

  146. I added King James and the SAB together.

  147. So now faith is the substance, the assurance of things hoped

  148. for, the conviction or evidence of things not seen, say not

  149. seen. This is what we're going to

  150. focus on this tonight. The not seen, the not seen.

  151. So it's the conviction or evidence of things not seen.

  152. For by it the men of old gained approval.

  153. And by faith we understand that the world's listen to this.

  154. By faith we understand that the world's were prepared by the

  155. Word of God. By the Word of God we know in

  156. the beginning in Genesis, what did He do?

  157. He said in Genesis one, let there be.

  158. And what was there? He created the world.

  159. He created everything we see in this world by His word, we can

  160. be assured, we can be firmly persuaded.

  161. We should have the conviction that His word will form, will

  162. create whatever world we see that we want to live in.

  163. And if we want to see the promises of God, then we have to

  164. base our faith on what the Word says about our marriage, what

  165. the Word says about our finances, what the Word says

  166. come on about healing and health in our body.

  167. What does the Word say? Because that is what I'm going

  168. to build my faith upon. That is the substance of what

  169. I'm going to build upon and that is going to create the reality

  170. in the natural, in this natural realm.

  171. And to do that it will always be unseen.

  172. To start, it was all. It was unseen to God before He

  173. created the world, but then He spoke it and it came into

  174. reality and he said in a mark we read this last week, Mark 11/22

  175. to have the God kind of faith, the God kind of faith.

  176. So if he says something and can create it, then what is He

  177. saying that we should be doing? Saying something and what?

  178. Creating it. But we have to believe what

  179. we're saying. And that belief has to be based

  180. upon what his word has said, right?

  181. It's not just, you know, whatever.

  182. No, it's what the Word has said belongs to us.

  183. So by faith we understand that the world's were prepared or

  184. created by the Word of God so that what is seen was not made

  185. out of the things which are visible.

  186. And he tells us this is the kind of faith that we are to have,

  187. has given us the measure of that faith.

  188. And therefore we are people that are not going to be able to live

  189. by what we see in this natural realm or this natural world.

  190. Period. We can't live by that.

  191. True people of living by faith is not going to live by what we

  192. see in this natural realm. We're going to live by the

  193. substance of faith, that substance.

  194. And we said that stop substance was to be the foundation or the

  195. structure, that word substance. Let me find that again.

  196. It means that thing that we're setting up under to support us.

  197. It is concrete. Come on, It is the foundation,

  198. the substance of faith. Get that?

  199. The substance of faith is what we are to build our foundation

  200. upon, not anything else. Not anything else.

  201. And faith, before it is brought into reality, cannot be seen.

  202. It cannot be seen. We know that there's wind.

  203. You can't see the wind. You only see the effects of the

  204. wind. So wind is not seen.

  205. What you see is the effects of the wind.

  206. So faith is not seen, but what you should see is the effects of

  207. your faith within your life and whatever promise God says

  208. belongs to you, right? So you should see the evidence

  209. of that. That is the substance that

  210. you're building your life upon. That is the foundation.

  211. And we have to act, truly ask ourselves, is, is that my

  212. foundation? Is faith truly the foundation of

  213. what I've built my life upon? Because we know that many people

  214. say they have faith. And this is great to reiterate

  215. because they say, oh, yeah, I believe that there is a God.

  216. I have faith that there's a God. But they don't know how to

  217. appropriate that faith to where they live by it every day.

  218. And he tells us that we are to live by this, right?

  219. We're to live by it, not just believe that there's a God and

  220. that he can do anything. But actually, what Pastor has

  221. taught us, I believe that what he says that we can do and he

  222. can do, he'll do through me, through me, through us.

  223. That's where we have to be, OK? And faith we saw last week is

  224. useless if it's not activated, if we're not acting on it or we

  225. are not believing God. And the most of the time that

  226. it's going to be activated is in the situations, the tests, the

  227. trials, the circumstances where it looks like you're going

  228. under, where it looks like your marriage is falling apart.

  229. When it looks like, come on, you're not going to be able to

  230. make your mortgage when it looks like these are in the unseen.

  231. This is in the unseen realm that you are to apply your faith

  232. within those moments and in those times.

  233. And that is to really lives by faith.

  234. I'm not going to live by what I see.

  235. I'm not going to live by how I feel about the situation.

  236. I'm not going to live by so we can sing about it, but I'm

  237. finding a lot of people are actually doing it in the midst

  238. of these situations. OK, So we have to stir ourselves

  239. up in faith because we said that in Second Corinthians.

  240. He says, test yourself to see if you're in faith.

  241. So this is a test of what true biblical faith looks like.

  242. And we should test our lives according to what true biblical

  243. faith looks, not not according to our imagination and what we

  244. think or how we think, right? And this, this is always, always

  245. a heart, always wanting to say, am I in faith in this situation?

  246. Or have I responded differently and and I responding differently

  247. in whatever circumstance I'm going to?

  248. Or do I go straight to the word and do I believe the word, speak

  249. the word, act upon the Word no matter what I see, right?

  250. Do I act upon the word no matter what I see?

  251. Am I firmly persuaded that my faith that's built upon him will

  252. not fail? We said the Weymouth

  253. translation. Read it this way out of Hebrews

  254. 11. Now faith means that we are

  255. confident of what we hope for, and convinced of what we do not

  256. see, say, do not see. Moffett translation reads it

  257. this way. Faith is the title deed of

  258. things hoped for, putting to prove the things not seen.

  259. Faith is the title deed. The title deed, it is done.

  260. I own it right. Hallelujah.

  261. So faith will always operate in the unseen.

  262. Let's talk about this tonight. Faith is the substance that is

  263. unseen. Pastor had ministered a sermon

  264. called the Unseen Principle a long time ago.

  265. How many of you were here when he did that or remember that?

  266. So we're going to just kind of read not, I don't have his

  267. message. We're just going to be talking

  268. about the unseen principle. So one of the greatest examples

  269. and scripture that we see that lived by faith was Abraham.

  270. Abraham, who is called the father of faith, also was called

  271. the father of us all. He was our example, He was our

  272. father. He was the father of faith, the

  273. father of us all. And I would like to look at his

  274. life and how he lived by faith and he lived in the unseen.

  275. OK, now let's go to Romans chapter 416 through 20.

  276. Romans say my faith is out of this world.

  277. Say it again, my faith is out of this world.

  278. Say my faith is out of this world.

  279. My faith is out of this world. Come on, it's out of this world.

  280. It is not of this natural realm. It's not our faith is out of

  281. this world. Hallelujah, which would be a

  282. good title for this message, though it wasn't.

  283. But so look at Romans, as I said, is everybody there?

  284. Because we see here through Abraham's life.

  285. It says, therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace

  286. to the end, the to end the promise.

  287. Excuse me, to the end the promise might be sure to all the

  288. seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also

  289. which is of the faith of Abraham, which is US, who is the

  290. father of us all. As it is written, I have made

  291. thee a father of many nations before him who he believed, even

  292. God, who quickened the dead, and called those things which he not

  293. as though they were, who against hope believed in hope that he

  294. might become the father of many nations.

  295. According to that which was spoken.

  296. So shall thy seed be without becoming what?

  297. Weak in faith, he contemplated his own body, now as good as

  298. dead, since he was about 100 years old, and the deadness of

  299. Sarah's womb. Yet with respect to the promise

  300. of God, he did not waver in unbelief, but grew strong in

  301. faith, giving glory to God. Hallelujah.

  302. So we know Abraham and Sarah, God promised them a child and

  303. they were up of age, that they, neither one of them were in

  304. child bearing age, right? They were old OK and we see that

  305. God spoke this promise to him and said you will have a child

  306. and you will be the father. What of many of of all these

  307. people in the nation, many nations and we see here Abraham

  308. he said this that he what called those things which be not as

  309. though they were so faith did not go by what he saw in this

  310. natural realm. Faith, the God kind of faith

  311. will always defy natural laws. Always God's faith will always

  312. defy natural laws. It can supersede it because his

  313. faith is out of this world. So it doesn't matter how dead

  314. your circumstance looks. It doesn't matter what's going

  315. on in your life. If we would take up the faith

  316. his what his word calls faith, a firm persuasion, a confident

  317. expectation and begin to let it operate within our lives, then

  318. we would begin to start calling those things that be not as

  319. though they were. That be not as though he said

  320. his word would would be as though he said his word would be

  321. in whatever situation you may go through.

  322. And that is the substance of faith, his word.

  323. It's the substance that we are to build our life upon, and it's

  324. going to go against everything we see in the natural.

  325. Everything we see in the natural.

  326. Abraham had to believe. What did it say?

  327. Hope against hope, according to that which was spoken by God.

  328. His word is what He has said. So whatever was spoken in His

  329. Word, that's what we are to believe in the midst of whatever

  330. circumstance we're going through or whatever situation we're

  331. going through. And what did he do?

  332. He did not contemplate when translation said that the

  333. deadness of Sarah's womb, He didn't contemplate it, right?

  334. That means, guess what? He did not meditate on that.

  335. But what he meditated on was what God had promised him.

  336. And so his faith was in what God had promised him, not with his

  337. circumstance or the evidence of what he was seeing in the

  338. natural. Because faith will always

  339. supersede it. Because our faith is to be out

  340. of this world. It does not function like this

  341. world system. Come on it doesn't function like

  342. this world system. I want to reread James chapter 2

    James 2 chapter mention

  343. because James chapter 2 which is what we read last week and I

    James 2 chapter mention

  344. didn't elaborate on Abraham but they mentioned Abraham in James

    James 2 chapter mention

  345. chapter 2 and I want to read it again in James chapter 2 verses.

    James 2 chapter mention

  346. Actually we read last week 14 through 26 but I want to start

  347. in 18 and listen to this. It says, now someone may argue

  348. some people have faith, others have good deeds.

  349. But I say, how can you show me your faith if you do not have

  350. good deeds? I will show you my faith by good

  351. deeds. Because we started, we talked

  352. about the fact that faith will act.

  353. Faith will do what it believes. Verse 19, you say you have faith

  354. for you believe that there is one God.

  355. Good for you, good for you. This is those people.

  356. Oh yeah, I believe there's a God.

  357. Well, good for you. OK, but do we live by it?

  358. Because he goes on to say this. That's good for you.

  359. Even the demons believe this. So you have the faith of demons.

  360. It's all if all you do is believe that there's a God.

  361. Good for you. Think about that, because does

  362. this faith work in your life every day?

  363. Because if not, you're no better than a demon.

  364. Come on, let's just say it like that.

  365. You have no more faith than what a demon has.

  366. The demons believe this and they tremble in terror.

  367. But I know believers that don't even have one ounce of the fear

  368. of the Lord. But demons tremble because they

  369. do believe there is a God. They know that there is a God

  370. and they know that they will give answer to that God and they

  371. have more fear of God than we do.

  372. Just a side point. Because the American church has

  373. lost all reverence and fear of God because they still want to

  374. just live the way they want to live.

  375. Look what he says in verse 20. How foolish.

  376. Can't you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

  377. Don't you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be

  378. right by God or right with God by his actions when he offered

  379. his son Isaac on the altar? And aren't you glad that God is

  380. not ever asking us to have to offer our children because He

  381. offered His only Son in our place?

  382. But how many of us say we have all this wonderful faith and go

  383. to all these grand, wonderful faith conferences and can echo

  384. everything that we're supposed to say Faith does, how faith

  385. comes, what faith, how you to act upon it?

  386. But yet we don't believe Him and actually do the Word every day

  387. in our everyday life, in our everyday life.

  388. To me, that is useless, right? And so he lets us know because,

  389. you know, the American Church does not believe in sacrifice

  390. any longer. Nobody wants to have to

  391. sacrifice anything. They don't want to sacrifice

  392. their time to serve. They don't want to sacrifice,

  393. you know, their finances. They don't want to sacrifice

  394. walking in love with somebody that may have done them wrong.

  395. Come on. They don't want to sacrifice

  396. their time. They don't want to.

  397. They don't want to sacrifice any law, but they do want to say

  398. they have faith in God. They don't want to sacrifice

  399. anymore. And we're going to be a church

  400. that's going to have faith that endures till the end because

  401. we're seeing many people that are falling away from the faith

  402. and not enduring, and they don't endure because they just simply

  403. don't believe what His Word says that it is and that it can do.

  404. It's just as simple as that. It's it's not some big

  405. revelation, OK? It's not a big revelation.

  406. This thing on how we, I wasn't even feel, I wasn't even, I had

  407. not even been taught faith and was living a life of faith,

  408. didn't even know that I was living a life of faith.

  409. But you know what? I did know what his word was

  410. telling me to do and I believed it.

  411. And guess what else I did? I acted upon it had no

  412. revelation of the AB CS of faith, had no revelation that I

  413. have to believe and speak and and act.

  414. But what I did know is what the Word was telling me to do.

  415. And guess what I did? I obeyed that.

  416. And every step of the way, God always took care of every single

  417. need, every single thing. Hallelujah.

  418. And the sacrifices that were made were done by faith and what

  419. He was asking and requiring of me.

  420. And there was always a sacrifice and there was always a

  421. requirement to be able to do what He was asking of me to, to,

  422. to do. And we, we said this, that when

  423. he called pastor and I to ministry, we were living in

  424. Georgia at the time and we're going to a Baptist Church, a

  425. Baptist Church. That's where our faith was.

  426. We had no idea. We picked up US and our two

  427. children at the time, loaded up a pickup and headed to Georgia

  428. because Pastor heard the Lord say go to Georgia, you know, and

  429. live with my father because at the time he was not born again

  430. and all these things and that he was going to get a job and we

  431. were going to, you know, whatever.

  432. He was coming off of a, a National Guard tour at the time

  433. and we knew nothing. And actually my husband was

  434. reading the Bible and he had picked up a little booklet from

  435. Charles Stanley and in it he was talking about faith according to

  436. Charles Stanley's faith, right. And that was the seed of faith

  437. or the measure of faith that we were walking in at the time.

  438. And all he knew is we are supposed to pick up and go, no

  439. job, nothing. Well, that was a sacrifice

  440. because I mean, you're asking me to just pick up and go with you.

  441. And, you know, whatever. I don't even remember how long

  442. we had even been married by them.

  443. Only maybe four or five years. Not even that long.

  444. And so we we sold everything, picked up and loaded up the

  445. pickup and you know, you've heard the story.

  446. It was on the 4th of July weekend when we were moving up

  447. there and didn't even get out of what was at Lake City and a

  448. overpass had collapsed, collapsed in the middle of the

  449. highway. So 4th of July weekend still in

  450. Florida in Lake City, the middle of right, no breeze.

  451. I mean it's 4th of July and it's hot.

  452. It's 90°. We're in line for.

  453. We are in traffic for four hours with a child that hated the car

  454. seat in the 1st place, which was Chase, Pastor Chase, who

  455. screamed bloody murder every time you put him in a car seat

  456. and got carsick all the time. And so he's screaming he's hot.

  457. What happens? We are in this Interstate for so

  458. long, car stop, just start pulling off the side of the road

  459. because they're overheating. So everybody's overheating and

  460. we finally get to a gas station. We cut our car off and it

  461. wouldn't crank back up. And you heard the story where

  462. the one guy showed up, put the pliers on one side of the jumper

  463. thing and a tire iron on the other.

  464. One Junior and with short shorts and it's his no shoes, no shirt.

  465. It was welcome there at that Jiffy store and with the pockets

  466. of the shorts, you know, the front pockets hanging out.

  467. He was our Angel that day, junior, and he cranked our car

  468. right up with his bare hands and those two things.

  469. And we took off to Atlanta and, you know, the rest is history.

  470. Maybe we'll get into some of those testimonies, but we had

  471. nothing, you know, and here's my husband telling me I'm going to

  472. get a good job. We're going to, you know, all I

  473. wanted was a, a house with a white picket fence.

  474. And you know, somebody that worked 9:00 to 5:00.

  475. So he got a good job all right. And they were getting ready to

  476. send him. He was working for like a DAPA

  477. corporation or something. And he was doing mainframes with

  478. the computer stuff and was get, they were getting ready to send

  479. him so that he could see that he saw in the paper in Atlanta that

  480. they could start making six figures.

  481. So we're, we're going for it, right?

  482. The American dream. And but God arrested him on his

  483. way to work one night because he was working shift work and he

  484. had that open vision of him preaching.

  485. To masses and was called into the ministry.

  486. Came home the next morning and told me this grand vision.

  487. And do y'all know what my comments were?

  488. I did not marry a pastor. That's good for you, but that is

  489. not who I am ever wanted to be, ever want to be right and said

  490. you going to be doing this thing on your own.

  491. And that's where I was spiritually.

  492. OK. And you know, so all of these

  493. things, I mean, we're living in my dad's house and you telling

  494. me we call and going into the ministry.

  495. I said I'm not pastor wife material.

  496. I mean, don't you know, I was a teenage dropout pregnant girl?

  497. I mean, you know, that's not pastor wife material.

  498. You know, I had in my mind what I thought a pastor and then

  499. every pastor wife I really ever had known looked miserable,

  500. wasn't really raised in church, you know, or anything.

  501. But it did not look like this grand life that you're, you're

  502. telling me we going to make 6 figures.

  503. And now we going into the ministry where they didn't wear

  504. makeup and had buns in their hair and I cannot play the

  505. piano. My mom didn't make me finish my

  506. piano lessons. I mean, this is what I

  507. envisioned, you know, and I said we might as well sign the papers

  508. now because that is not what I signed up for.

  509. I didn't even know what I signed up for at the in reality, OK,

  510. but anyway, but God had other plans And you know what I had to

  511. do? I had to surrender my life to

  512. His plans. I had to sacrifice my life to

  513. His plans. I had to make a decision.

  514. Am I going to live out the Word of God for my life and for what

  515. He is saying or what He is requiring and begin to start

  516. living by faith and not by all the circumstances and the

  517. situations that I was encountering on a regular basis

  518. with this husband of mine? So then, you know, he gets, you

  519. know, so he's telling me he's called to the ministry.

  520. We didn't know what that meant. We had no clue what that meant,

  521. had nobody in the ministry in our family but a stepbrother.

  522. And I said this last week that now doesn't even serve the Lord

  523. and has a pot farm. OK, He's into the municipal

  524. marijuana stuff and actually was the very first person that sewed

  525. into our ministry when we started this church at Gamble

  526. Rogers and gave us all of the sound equipment to start with,

  527. but now doesn't even serve the Lord and has a pot farm.

  528. So what does that tell me? His faith did not endure.

  529. He was in Bible college and felt called to the ministry.

  530. And that is the only person we knew.

  531. Like, OK, so my husband's like, well, I mean, if God's calling

  532. us, I guess we need to go to a Bible school, you know, because

  533. I made good grades and everything, so surely I can go

  534. find a Bible school. Well, that was the only Bible

  535. school we knew of, which is where he was going.

  536. And I said this last week and it was a living hell when we then

  537. he tells me we weren't even in Georgia very long, not even two

  538. years. And at the same time got

  539. pregnant with Brianna and moved into an apartment in Rose,

  540. Roswell, GA. And it was infested with

  541. roaches. My dad was trying to talk us out

  542. of moving into this apartment. Stay with me, stay with me, it's

  543. fine. So we move into this apartment

  544. and did not stay there two days, packed everything back up and

  545. move back it. How do you think that made me

  546. feel? You know, I didn't want to have

  547. to, you know, put down my pride and go back and live with him.

  548. And, you know, now this new found, you know, thing of

  549. knowing you're called to ministry and to be a pastor and

  550. yet you can't even move into an apartment, be there for two

  551. weeks, whatever. I don't know.

  552. But all I do know is in that night of sleeping in that Roach

  553. infested apt, I had to take a pregnancy test and found out I

  554. was pregnant with little old Brianna, right, Who's 30 now,

  555. you know, so here we are, you know, in Georgia.

  556. He's telling me he's called to the ministry.

  557. We moving having to move back with my dad.

  558. This is all within like not even six months period of time, you

  559. know, that all these things are transpiring and then tells me

  560. we're going to pick up and move to South Carolina.

  561. Columbia, SC is where this seminary was that my stepbrother

  562. was going. So that's all we knew.

  563. So now he's telling me we're going to sell any little

  564. belongings we had left and now we're going to move to, we had

  565. to load up a U-Haul and move to South Carolina.

  566. I'm pregnant, right? I'm all these things.

  567. Now he is jobless again because we're moving.

  568. He couldn't keep his six figure, you know, job, which we never

  569. obtained to believe me anyway. So we get to South Carolina and

  570. now we're in a place where we don't know anyone other than the

  571. stepbrother. It's still it's a Baptist

  572. seminary at that, which is what we call cemeteries today, right.

  573. Baptist seminary no job. I mean, was just miserable and

  574. not knowing, having a clue what's happening and no money

  575. until he, he started doing some side jobs with somebody through

  576. the church where my stepbrother was going to.

  577. But it was barely enough. You know, my kids don't even

  578. know that that Christmas, the only Christmas presents that

  579. they got was because someone knew we had moved there from the

  580. other church we were going to in Georgia and asked if they could

  581. their Sunday school class could bless our children with

  582. Christmas gifts. I didn't.

  583. My kids don't ever know that, but of course they got presents

  584. from their grandparents and then this Sunday school class wanted

  585. to send our children Christmas presents and thank God they did

  586. because we had nothing. They don't even know that when

  587. we then God calls us to Rhema out of that cemetery and thank

  588. God I prayed us out of South Carolina.

  589. I'm serious. My husband, I was still so

  590. locked up. I had never told him that I was

  591. actually filled with the Holy Ghost because he was a good old

  592. Southern Baptist boy. And I was so locked up and

  593. didn't trust people and didn't trust what he would have think

  594. would have thought. And so I never told him that I

  595. had gotten filled with the Holy Ghost at a Church of God.

  596. And so during that six month span that we were in South

  597. Carolina, I started praying in the Holy Ghost every single day

  598. while he was at cemetery. And listen, I started praying in

  599. the Holy Ghost. I mean, I was like, this is not

  600. where I am supposed to be. This is not what my life is

  601. supposed to be. We had no money, you know, I

  602. mean, just it was miserable. It was just miserable.

  603. And and I told y'all last week I had like $14.00 to my name to

  604. our name and had to make a decision whether I was going to

  605. buy baby formula or pay my tithe.

  606. Back then I didn't even know how the principles of faith worked.

  607. All I know is his word said to tithe.

  608. So I made a decision to buy her cow's milk which was $200.00,

  609. two dollars and something a gallon at the time.

  610. Put my tithe in the offering and that very week we owe I opened

  611. up the door and there was groceries filled in bags on our

  612. front doorstep. So because I'm praying in the

  613. Holy Ghost and I'm crying out to God and saying this is not my

  614. life. I don't want this life.

  615. What have you? What are you doing to me?

  616. What have you asked of me? What have I done to deserve

  617. this? I mean, what have I done to

  618. deserve this, right? I mean, I was saying it all.

  619. And you know, there was not really the only faith that I had

  620. was in what I knew in the word of God.

  621. And so he got us out six. I mean, one one day he walked.

  622. Well, I'll tell you what happened.

  623. He was having to ride a bike to the cemetery every day, and

  624. that's how he had to get there. He was riding a bike and in

  625. South Carolina there's hills, guys, right up and down these

  626. hills. His wheel flew off of the bike

  627. and he flipped and wrecked and had to get a ride on the side of

  628. the road with somebody, a complete stranger.

  629. He shows up with this wheel in his hand and the bike in the

  630. other hand and some random car that showed up dropping him off.

  631. And I walk outside and I'm like, what is up?

  632. And he said, I think we need to move back to Florida.

  633. I said, I think you're right. I think you're right.

  634. And so we loaded up the pickup again from South Carolina with

  635. bald tires on our van and bald tires on this trailer from a

  636. friend to help us pull this, whatever we owned at the time.

  637. And the tires were so bad, the friend that loaned us or the

  638. yeah, that loaned us the trailer and ended up buying us new

  639. tires. He's like, you're not going to

  640. make it to Florida with these tires.

  641. And this is how poor we were, guys.

  642. And and so we get back to Florida.

  643. Well, he goes to work for Orkin and we're moving.

  644. We moved in with his mother. So yay for me.

  645. That was fun times with three kids, her, her other son, his

  646. brother that passed away and that was another whole scenario.

  647. But anyway there's so many stories I could tell.

  648. Y'all just want story night of how we had to live by faith.

  649. Hallelujah. And so anyway, let me see if I

  650. can move on from here. Oh, glory to God.

  651. Is this helping anybody? Listen, this is called living by

  652. faith. This is called do you believe

  653. his word or do you not? This is called, there's going to

  654. be things that he's asking you to do.

  655. You're not going to want to do. You're not going to want to

  656. sacrifice. You're not going to want to

  657. sell. You're not going to want to have

  658. to do this, to do that in which he's asking of you.

  659. But I'm telling you what? No risk, no reward.

  660. No risk, no reward. We would not be doing what we're

  661. doing today if we had not risked it all.

  662. Everything, spirit, soul and body risk it all.

  663. Let it all go and completely trust in who he says he is.

  664. Apply it to your everyday life. Walk this thing out, carry out

  665. what he tells you to do. And I'm going to tell you every

  666. time he will come through every single time.

  667. Because if there is no risk, there is no reward at the end.

  668. And he is not in. Listen, true biblical faith does

  669. not look like this mamby pamby, Sissy American stuff that we're

  670. seeing today across this nation in churches.

  671. I'm just telling you, it is not real faith.

  672. It's not real faith. It is not comfortable to live by

  673. faith. It is not easy to do the things

  674. that he is requiring of you to cut people out of your life, to

  675. cut off this, to cut out that, to say I'll never take another

  676. look at that. I'll never do that again.

  677. I'll never. I mean, come on.

  678. These are the things that he's asking of us to truly grow and

  679. mature as the body of Christ. There's going to be sacrifice.

  680. There's going to be suffering, which nobody wants to hear

  681. today. It's, I mean, I suffered, but I

  682. suffered in the grace of God. I suffered in the rest of God.

  683. I suffered in the plan of God, in the will of God, and the only

  684. thing that really suffered was my flesh and my will to align my

  685. will with His. I mean, my kids don't even know

  686. that I had to sell blood platelets while we were at Rhema

  687. to buy them Christmas presents 'cause you could go multiple

  688. times during the month. And we didn't have the money to

  689. buy them while we were at Bible school.

  690. So we would. We found out that you could get

  691. 20 to $40 every time you went to give blood platelets downtown

  692. Tulsa. So that's what we did.

  693. And yet we can't even give our time to serve His body.

  694. There's requirements, guys, to live biblical faith, true

  695. biblical faith. That means He's going to ask us

  696. to give when it hurts. He's going to ask us to do

  697. things when it is not convenient, when it is not

  698. comfortable, and when you want to say no.

  699. But if you do it, come on, there's going to be real faith

  700. operating in your life. Hallelujah.

  701. So we've all been given the measure of faith and he expects

  702. us to walk it out. And we have to be people that

  703. listen in the natural. In the natural, there's no

  704. groceries. This is what I'm seeing.

  705. No food for my children in the natural.

  706. But my God is out of this world, so I couldn't look.

  707. Look at the empty cabinet. What I had to look at is that

  708. God, you said that if I tithe, that you would open up the

  709. windows of heaven and pour out upon me a blessing.

  710. Oh, Hallelujah. You told me that if I sowed my

  711. seed. Come on and put it in the ground

  712. that my God would supply all of my needs and I'm in a need right

  713. now. And my need is is that I don't

  714. see anything that. But let me tell you something.

  715. And you know what else he said? That his righteous would never

  716. have to beg for seed. And I'm going to tell you we

  717. never had to beg for seed. We never had to beg for food.

  718. We never had to beg even though many a times, and I think maybe

  719. it was more pride than even faith sometimes because you

  720. know, all along I'm thinking I never got food stamps.

  721. And no shame on anybody that lived.

  722. Food shamps should not be your source and supply.

  723. As a child of God, you should not live on that.

  724. No, what you should live on is the word of God, the bread.

  725. Come on, every word that proceeds out of his mouth.

  726. We didn't have food stamps. And I thought to myself, well

  727. how stupid. All these years later, well how

  728. stupid, why didn't we go get food stamps?

  729. I didn't know you could get WIC and milk for.

  730. I could have had formula for my baby, but really I was just too

  731. prideful probably. But in my pride, I learned how

  732. to what? Trust in God, Have faith in God,

  733. because this government is not my source.

  734. That's what I learned. But I learned it the hard way.

  735. And nobody wants to go through the hard way of true biblical

  736. faith to actually learn how to exercise faith and live by it.

  737. Hallelujah, I'm telling you this works every time.

  738. It works every time it works. Never had to beg for bread.

  739. He always came through. He always supplied because we

  740. always did what his word said to do and we believed it and we

  741. acted upon it and we lived by it.

  742. Hallelujah, Hallelujah. So that your faith.

  743. The measure of faith can grow and increase in your life some

  744. 3060 and 100 fold. If you don't exercise when

  745. there's nothing, guess what? It's not going to grow.

  746. It's not going to increase to where, as I said, Brother Hagin

  747. used to say, how can somebody act like they're going to

  748. believe God for $100,000 and can't even believe God for gas

  749. to put in their car? You see that?

  750. So you have to what? What do you have?

  751. Start with the measure of faith that you have, just like the

  752. widow woman. What do you have?

  753. You know what she said. All I have was this, a little

  754. bit of flour that I'm going to make for me and my son.

  755. This was her confession so that we can die.

  756. Have you ever felt like you were going to die?

  757. I have, I have. We're going to die if this don't

  758. come through. I mean, you know, we're going to

  759. die if God don't come through. But what we do have is faith.

  760. We've been given the measure of faith.

  761. And therefore, I'm going to stand upon what His words said

  762. and believe God in the midst of these situations where you feel

  763. like you're going to die and that you have nothing else.

  764. This is true biblical faith. So Abraham, listen, this is what

  765. he he had to be a person that said, listen, I'm not going to

  766. look at the deadness of the womb, but I'm going to in hope

  767. against hope and belief in faith, I'm going to believe and

  768. call those things that be not as though they were because my life

  769. is built upon the promise of God.

  770. My life is built upon the word of God.

  771. Faith is the substance that I have built my life upon.

  772. So therefore you had to what, walk it out?

  773. And did it happen for Abraham overnight?

  774. And what if he would have shrunk back?

  775. Because Hebrew says, right, he has no pleasure in those that

  776. shrink back from faith. What if he would have quit?

  777. Believe it. What if he would have quit

  778. calling? Well, I can assure you we

  779. wouldn't see the things that he was able to see.

  780. So say my faith is out of this world.

  781. We are not to live by what we see in this natural realm.

  782. Hallelujah, glory to God. Now let's read Hebrews.

  783. We'll close with this Hebrews again about Abraham.

  784. Did I finish reading James about Abraham?

  785. OK, OK, let's read Hebrews about Abraham because I wanted you to

  786. see this. So starting in verse one.

  787. And it goes like this. Now faith is assurance of things

  788. hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

  789. For by it men of old gained approval by faith.

  790. We understand that the world's were prepared by the Word of

  791. God, so that what is seen was not made out of the things which

  792. are visible by faith. Abel offered to God a better

  793. sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained the testimony

  794. that he was righteous. God testifying about the gifts,

  795. and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks by faith.

  796. Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death, and he was

  797. not found because God took him up, for he obtained the witness

  798. that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God and

  799. faith. And without faith it's

  800. impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe

  801. that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him

  802. by faith. Noah, being warned right by God

  803. about the things that were not seen, not yet seen in reverence,

  804. prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by

  805. which he condemned the world and became an heir of righteousness

  806. according to his faith. And Noah is a whole nother, one

  807. you could talk about. But by faith, Abraham, when he

  808. was called, obeyed by going to a place which he was to receive

  809. for an inheritance. And he went out not knowing

  810. where he was going. This is my life.

  811. Call pastor when next time you see him.

  812. If some call him apostles, some call him pastor.

  813. Why don't we start calling him Father Abraham, which is what my

  814. sons used to call him, because this was my life.

  815. We just going to go and we don't know where we're going, how

  816. we're going, or what we're going to do when we're getting there.

  817. OK? But God, it said.

  818. But by faith, Abraham, when he was called obeying and going out

  819. to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance, he

  820. went out not knowing where he was going.

  821. But by faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as

  822. in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac Jacob, fellow

  823. heirs of the same promise. For he was looking for the city

  824. which has foundation whose architect and builder is God.

  825. By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive

  826. even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered him

  827. faithful who had promised. Is he faithful?

  828. Hallelujah. He is faithful to His Word.

  829. So Abraham is a perfect example because there were many even

  830. tests that Abraham had to go through.

  831. He had to OfferUp Isaac, right? He had to go to a place where

  832. God had called him and he didn't know where he was going.

  833. He had to call those things that be not as though they were to

  834. conceive a child. These were three testings that

  835. Abraham had to go through with his faith towards God.

  836. So again, this is an example of him not being able to live by

  837. what he saw. He had to live by faith.

  838. He had to live by faith, which is out of this world, out of

  839. this natural realm. And what did he do?

  840. He had to believe it. But not only did he have to

  841. believe it, he had to act upon it.

  842. And he's a perfect example of him believing well, receiving

  843. the promise of what God said, believing the promise of what

  844. God said, calling forth the promise of what God said,

  845. because he called those things that be not as though they were,

  846. and then acting upon what God had said to do by offering up

  847. his son Isaac. So Abraham's that perfect

  848. example of someone who lived by faith, who is the father of our

  849. faith, the father of us all, and actually walked it out and saw

  850. the reality of his faith in action, saw it in the reality

  851. after he had to believe in the unseen.

  852. Amen. He had to believe in the unseen.

  853. He had to believe that there would be a seed within him for

  854. his wife to conceive in the deadness of their womb.

  855. He had to believe it, and it was not seen.

  856. And how long did it take her to conceive the promise?

  857. And do we give up? Do we give up in the midst of

  858. the things that God's asking of us?

  859. Or are you one, that I'm going to walk this thing out so that I

  860. can see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

  861. I'm going to see what he promised me.

  862. I'm going to walk it out. I don't care how long it takes,

  863. look at Noah and his faith and listen.

  864. These people were not even born again.

  865. These people were not even filled with the Holy Ghost and

  866. God required of their faith to be put into action and to live

  867. by it. Noah having to build an ark when

  868. they had never seen rain and was mocked and ridiculed, called

  869. crazy. And some of us don't even like

  870. it when people talk about you because of what you believe.

  871. And he put up with it day in and day out, doing what God had

  872. said, building that ark, doing all the necessary things to that

  873. was required of him to be able to live by what God spoke over

  874. him that he needed him to do in the earth.

  875. And that is the same faith. This is true biblical faith.

  876. This is what he's still requiring of believers today.

  877. It is not this comfortable Christianity that America has

  878. made. It's not.

  879. There are things that are required for us to live by on a

  880. daily basis of sacrifice of of things that we're going to have

  881. to give up to be able to produce true biblical faith for people

  882. to see what the Kingdom really can offer people's lives.

  883. Amen. And I'm going to tell you, it

  884. don't ever stop. This is the faith law that

  885. whatever he's asking, whatever we're doing, we are going to

  886. have to receive it. We're going to have to believe

  887. it, We're going to have to speak it, and we are going to have to

  888. walk it out. If we are going to see the

  889. promises of God within our life, if we're going to see the the

  890. reality of the Kingdom in demonstration in our life, then

  891. we are going to have to walk these things out.

  892. That's being required of us. And the majority of it is us

  893. just, you know, him requiring us just to grow spiritually.

  894. And that's a sacrifice. I remember when I was having to

  895. grow up spiritually and grow in. And I'm not there because we're

  896. always should be growing until he returns.

  897. But we should be in a place where we've matured.

  898. And it's evident. But I remember, you know, having

  899. to cut friends off because there was a requirement that, you know

  900. what? I can no longer hang out with

  901. these that are partying. You know, that was a

  902. requirement. Oh, God forbid you tell people

  903. they have to cut people off today.

  904. Oh, you're a cult. Seriously.

  905. Oh, God forbid, you know, he say, you know, you really

  906. shouldn't be listening to that type of music because it's only

  907. promoting lust and it's only promoting anger.

  908. And it's only, I remember him speaking to me and say you can't

  909. listen to that any longer. It is not good for your

  910. spiritual growth. You're no longer going to be

  911. able to, you know, do this. I mean, because he was requiring

  912. more for us to grow spiritually. And therefore there was things

  913. that he is requiring to cut out of your life so that you can

  914. grow and that you can mature. And once you get to a place,

  915. he's not saying you can never speak to them people again, but

  916. you're not going to habitually hang out with them because they

  917. want to party and drink. And God's trying to separate you

  918. out of this world. So there's requirements, there's

  919. things according to his Word so that we can grow and mature.

  920. And those things are sacrifices. And you have to put up with the

  921. people saying, oh, you just think you're better now that

  922. you, you know, you and Earl got married and, and y'all are

  923. living for the Lord. You think you're better than us

  924. and you don't want to come over and, you know, have a cookout

  925. and party and drink beer anymore.

  926. What is that? You know all these things.

  927. Well, who knew he actually wanted us to be holy?

  928. Who knew he actually was calling us into the ministry when I was

  929. having to do all those things? Who knew that I had to drive

  930. around in a $400.00 car because that's all we could buy?

  931. And I was embarrassed because I had drove way nicer ones before

  932. I met him. But guess what that was doing?

  933. Stripping down my pride. But guess if I wouldn't have.

  934. You know my son used to hide in the back of the seat when we

  935. pulled up to the school because of the hoop Dee we were driving.

  936. Literally $400.00. That's all we had because our

  937. van had gotten repossessed. You know what we learned?

  938. Completely surrendered everything.

  939. Everything. That's why I don't care what

  940. people think. They don't know where I've come

  941. from. They don't know what God has

  942. proven himself to do through my life.

  943. They don't know the sacrifices. They don't know the things.

  944. So they get up and they want to say what they want to say.

  945. You know what? None of them can live the life I

  946. lived. It was all by faith.

  947. It's still all by faith. To get beyond myself, to believe

  948. God for others, to pray for others, that their seed would

  949. increase, that their marriages would be blessed and prospered

  950. when all I knew was divorce. But yet I have heaven on earth

  951. now when He stays right. Just teasing, but I had to learn

  952. how to submit. And you know how I learned how

  953. to submit to my husband through submitting to God, submitting to

  954. his word. And I know many people that

  955. don't submit to the the word of God.

  956. And that's why there's a submission problem, because once

  957. you learn how to fully submit to the Word of God, you have no

  958. problem submitting at all to anyone, to anyone.

  959. Because I fear God, fear God, and I want to submit to what His

  960. Word says in every area of my life so that I can walk this

  961. thing out and see the promises of God and see a return of faith

  962. being produced in my life. Amen.

  963. And that's what He wants for you, every single one of you.

  964. We want to see faith arise in people's lives, people to

  965. overcome all the nonsense and just start living by faith and

  966. walking this thing out every day in your life.

  967. And you do it by simply believing what His word says,

  968. acting upon it, speaking it out, doing it every day, in every

  969. season, in every circumstance, in every situation.

  970. Let me tell you, there should not be any season that you are

  971. not living by faith. That means my faith is active at

  972. all times, at all times. Active faith, active faith in

  973. whatever it is, because nothing is impossible for those who will

  974. believe or have faith. And what God has said above,

  975. what we're seeing in this natural realm.
