  1. Thanks for checking out the Anchor Faith Message podcast

  2. from St. Augustine, FL.

  3. Now enjoy this message. Turn over to 1st John chapter

  4. four. First John chapter 4, we're

    1 John 4 chapter mention

  5. going to talk about some spiritual insight.

  6. Anybody wants some spiritual insight?

  7. Wouldn't you love to have some spiritual insight?

  8. I'm talking accurate spiritual insight, right?

  9. Some spiritual insights. So we're going to deal with some

  10. Kingdom discernment today. And 1st John chapter 4, starting

    John 4 chapter mention

  11. in verse one, it says, beloved, do not believe every spirit, but

  12. test the spirits to see whether they are from God, OK?

  13. And we've been dealing with some thought processes here because

  14. again this year God spoke to us about the reigning spirit.

  15. We have the Holy Ghost, He is the reigning spirit, but there

  16. are other spirits, OK? And so John communicates this in

  17. his first letter here concerning that when you're hearing things,

  18. you need to test because everything talking to you isn't

  19. necessarily from God. Just because you're born again

  20. doesn't mean the devil cannot talk to you nor those that are

  21. with him, which would be unclean spirits, right?

  22. All kinds of different spirits that are in that area of his

  23. influence, domain of darkness. So you have to test it, which

  24. means think about that word test for a moment.

  25. No one wants to take a test without having the information

  26. to pass it, which tells us if you're not studying, you will

  27. fail the test. OK, so when he says test the

  28. Spirit, you need to be a studier of the word, rightly dividing

  29. the word of truth so that you can pass the test to know that's

  30. not from God. That's not a thought from God,

  31. because the devil comes as an Angel in life.

  32. The devil uses Scripture right and some a lot of babes in

  33. Christ. OK carnal Christians are babes

  34. in Christ. They're very susceptible to

  35. other spirits when they lead with Scripture are terms that

  36. are associated with God. Again, this is laughable, but

  37. I'd always like to tell it when I was a youth pastor in Starke,

  38. FL, actually, you know, we had a little praise and worship team

  39. and we ministered to a bunch of teenagers and I had some

  40. teenagers come in from school one day and and it was at

  41. service and was like Pastor Earl, we want to do a new want

  42. you to do a new praise and worship song, you know, and I

  43. said, what's that? It's called heaven let your

  44. light shine down. This was a secular song by

  45. Active Soul. Well, bless their darling

  46. hearts, they were, you know, babes and cries, but they heard

  47. heaven and they were assuming we're talking about the same

  48. place, right? We're not talking about the same

  49. place at all. And we're not singing that song

  50. in service. Okay, so with that being said,

  51. there's a few secular groups that had references, you know,

  52. to have a says just like, you know, I definitely wouldn't sing

  53. Highway to Hell either, but there's a highway to hell.

  54. Are you hearing me? But I'm not going to make it my

  55. worship song. All right, we reference hell

  56. today anyway, so we have to test the spirits and you know, the

  57. spirits will come like light. But when you know Scripture,

  58. then you can say not sure that's the Lord.

  59. So the implication here is if when you find that they're not

  60. from God, then you should disregard their messaging.

  61. I said you should disregard their messaging.

  62. Hallelujah in relationships, spirits talking about lustful

  63. ones. OK, They'll come to a born again

  64. believer and convince them to get in a relationship with an

  65. unbeliever, that that you as a believer are going to change

  66. their life. Yet the scripture says do not be

  67. unequally yoked with unbelievers.

  68. And that lustful spirit will convince them that the only way

  69. they're going to get right is if you go ahead and marry them,

  70. that you need to be around them full time and you're going to

  71. take them to church. There's no guarantee.

  72. In fact, Scripture lets us know. In fact, if you believe that

  73. they can change, let them change first before you say I do.

  74. But now that means you got to put down your feelings and your

  75. emotions, right? And again, then what happens?

  76. Believers say, well, how could it be wrong if it feels so

  77. right? I think that's a country song,

  78. actually. With that being said, you know,

  79. but they live this way by their feelings by sight.

  80. You're not testing the spirits correctly, OK.

  81. And so we need to test the spirits Now.

  82. Why is this important today? Because you say, well, I'm

  83. mature, I hear. Listen, in the last of the last

  84. days, there's going to be seducing spirits and doctrines

  85. of demons. And it said some will fall away

  86. from the faith. So there are believers that are

  87. functioning and flowing with God.

  88. And if by all rights have had seasons of maturity, because

  89. just because you've had a season of maturity doesn't mean you

  90. cannot slide, you can't fall out of maturity.

  91. OK, it's like my natural body. I can't go back to pre

  92. adolescence. That won't ever happen.

  93. But in the spirit it can happen. I mean, you can go slap all the

  94. way back to infancy because we know the Bible says on both Paul

  95. and Peter writing says, listen, I can't I can't even talk to

  96. you, a spiritual. I've got to go back because

  97. you're acting like a baby, Amen. So never think you've arrived.

  98. You can know whether you've reached maturity, but man, then

  99. you've got to maintain maturity and maintaining maturity is a

  100. serious business, serious business.

  101. So we jump down to verse four says this.

  102. You are from God, little children and have overcome them

  103. because greater is he who is in you than he that's in the world.

  104. Isn't that good news? So again, you have within you

  105. the ability to test the spirits of whether or not they are from

  106. God, because you have the reigning spirit not only on the

  107. inside of you if you're born again, but if you believe God

  108. for the endowment of power. He has come upon you and He's

  109. resting on you, not coming upon you and leaving.

  110. He is resting on you with His power because He has given you

  111. the same anointing that Jesus had, and that's the anointing of

  112. a king. Hallelujah.

  113. You have the Spirit of the Lord upon you, which is the spirit of

  114. his government, which is the the ability to hear from your king

  115. and accurately move into the places we're going to talk about

  116. today, which is Kingdom discernment.

  117. All right, Kingdom discernment. I have learned through the

  118. years, it is very important for me to never assume I know and

  119. always keep myself in a position.

  120. Lord, what am I hearing? I think one of the greatest

  121. failures of a mature believer is to assume they net will never

  122. get it wrong. And so they don't keep a

  123. dependency on hearing accurately from God.

  124. And we need to always keep a dependency on hearing accurately

  125. from God. So Revelation chapter one, verse

  126. 4 through 6 says this John to the seven churches which are in

  127. Asia, grace to you peace from him who is and who was and who

  128. is to come. Is he coming?

  129. I said, is he coming? The King's coming, and from the

  130. seven spirits who are before his throne, and from Jesus Christ,

  131. the faithful witness, the first born of the dead, the ruler of

  132. the kings of the earth. Who are those kings?

  133. Come on, who are those king? To him who loves us and released

  134. us from our sins by his blood, and he made us to be a Kingdom,

  135. say Kingdom priest to his God and Father.

  136. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever.

  137. Amen. Notice there are 7 spirits

  138. before his throne. Revelations 5-6 says yes.

  139. And I saw between the throne with the four living creatures

  140. and and the elder elders of the Lamb standing as if slain,

  141. having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven

  142. spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

  143. And we said this, that horns represented, they represented

  144. rule and authority in, in Revelations, when you hear about

  145. a horn, it's basically a Kingdom, a realm.

  146. There's another type and shadow that they use concerning

  147. government power. That's a mountain.

  148. OK. And then when it says eyes, that

  149. means and, and they use the term 7 because seven is the, is the

  150. number of completion or fullness.

  151. So Jesus Christ is the fullness of all government and the

  152. fullness and authority and fullness of all insight or

  153. wisdom or knowledge. OK.

  154. And then he goes on and says the seven spirits of God.

  155. So obviously we're taking time to break down the seven spirits

  156. of God. But although it's not 7

  157. individual spirits, it is one spirit which is the Holy Spirit,

  158. but he contains within him seven spirits or there's attributes or

  159. characteristics of him. We find these in Isaiah Chapter

    Isaiah 11 chapter mention

  160. 11 verse two. It says the Spirit of the Lord

  161. will rest on in him the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the

  162. spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and the

  163. fear of the Lord. Those are the seven spirits that

  164. are before the Lord. So when we talk about the Holy

  165. Spirit, he is the spirit of the Lord, of the Spirit of

  166. government. So the Holy Spirit will only

  167. talk to you about the Kingdom. That's his assignment.

  168. He only says what he hears from the Son, and the Son is only

  169. speaking on behalf of the Father because the Father, Son, and the

  170. Holy Spirit are one and they're always in agreement.

  171. They are never, never are they in disagreement.

  172. In fact, Jesus's greatest moment of submission was not doing what

  173. the Father said because he disagreed.

  174. It was doing what the Father said because he was going to get

  175. in agreement with his Father and put his flesh down and his way

  176. down. OK, so there's a little term

  177. that goes around, you know, when it comes to if you know you're

  178. not really submitted. If you agree with someone, that

  179. is a lie. That is a seducing spirit.

  180. Because for you to believe that you're only submitted when you

  181. do something, though you disagree with someone that is a

  182. rebellious person doing something that is not God does

  183. not have rebellious people. You can't have a rebellion at

  184. heart and yet have an obedient action.

  185. Oh, you're not listening to me. You cannot have a a rebellious

  186. heart and an obedient action because now your action is in

  187. rebellion too. Because he says they confess me

  188. with their list, but their heart is far from me.

  189. And here is the rich young ruler saying, look, what do I need to

  190. do to get eternal life? And he says, just keep the

  191. commandments. And he says, I've done it since

  192. I was a child, right? Which means he did it, but he

  193. did it based upon his heart, not based upon the actual lordship

  194. of Jesus submitted to him. Because if he was truly

  195. submitted to the one who spoke it, then when he said, sell

  196. everything you have, give to the poor and come follow me.

  197. And he said done. But instead he's like, no, I do

  198. it on. I don't really agree with you,

  199. but you hear this eternal life. So I'm going to do it anyway.

  200. So Paul totally capitalizes on this concept in First

    1 Corinthians 7 chapter mention

  201. Corinthians Chapter 7. He says, I wanted to do right,

  202. but I found whatever I was doing was still wrong.

  203. He said, what a wretched man am I.

  204. I mean, he said, he said, if you put me up against the Pharisees,

  205. I was without blame. I was far beyond my

  206. contemporaries. I had zeal.

  207. I mean when it came to the law found blameless, yet he had a

  208. rebellious heart and did righteous actions, meaning

  209. obedient actions, but to God it was all rebellion.

  210. So again, we pick up these human terms, pull them into the church

  211. and at like now the greatest submission is when we disagree,

  212. but do it anyway. No, Jesus showed the greatest

  213. submission is father. If there any other way, because

  214. I sure won't rebel from you, I would prefer not to go.

  215. And really the only reason why Jesus asked that question is

  216. because there was a ram in the thicket with Abraham.

  217. When Abraham was called to get rid of his only son, God had a

  218. ram in the thicket and he was saying, Father, have we come to

  219. this point because I'm like Abraham?

  220. He was willing to sacrifice him and said God must be able to

  221. raise the dead. And could he?

  222. Yes. Does he?

  223. Yes. Was he going to do Isaac?

  224. No, because he was always going to have a ram.

  225. And what was God saying? It won't require a man to give

  226. his son. I'm won't give mine.

  227. But he tells him in the garden, son, there's not a ram.

  228. You're it. But remember, I'll raise the

  229. dead because he had been saying in three days I'm coming up, in

  230. three days I'm coming up, in three days I'm coming up.

  231. Hallelujah. So what Jesus did said, I'm

  232. going to get fully persuaded because again, how can you have

  233. faith in God and be in rebellion with God at the same time?

  234. How can you say you're a doer of the word, but in your heart you

  235. hate what you're doing? Well, I'll go to church, but I

  236. don't like it. I'm just submitted to God.

  237. Well, you're not submitted to God and you're in church, but

  238. you're a rebellion in church. Come on, come on.

  239. Right. No, the greatest submission is

  240. when you are fully persuaded that God's way is the only way

  241. and I get in alignment with and I believe it with all my heart.

  242. There is no other way and I'm doing so.

  243. I'm in full agreement. So when people say the greatest

  244. submission is to not agree and still do it is seducing Spirit

  245. Salah. The greatest submission is a

  246. green changing your will for the will of the one who has the real

  247. authority and saying I'm here to do it.

  248. I fully submit to it and I'm in agreement with you.

  249. Say I'm in agreement, say I'm in agreement, man, you better be in

  250. agreement with God because the devil slick, he's slick,

  251. especially when it comes to natural things.

  252. Do you understand? The Bible says what good is it a

  253. man to gain the whole world? You don't understand, the devil

  254. has an economy. He has a pathway of promotion.

  255. He always promotes the rebellious, which means if you

  256. have a rebellious heart with a confession in your mouth and

  257. then all of a sudden you get what you confess, God didn't

  258. give it to you. The devil accommodated this fake

  259. belief he's putting you in. I'm preaching better than you're

  260. saying, but that's all right. Because here's the thing we're

  261. going to learn today about this spirit of understanding man

  262. Hallelujah. God knows, you know, you've

  263. heard me say this before. When people say, well, the Lord

  264. knows my heart. You bet He does.

  265. And not one time have you out. Have you faked him out?

  266. Not one time. Never have you faked him out.

  267. Never have. You know, I heard one minister

  268. say it this way. You can fake a praise, but you

  269. can't fake an offering. You know that's not true.

  270. You can fake an offering. You sure can.

  271. Jesus is watching the money come in and the rich people gave out

  272. of their surplus and was faking an offering.

  273. And today's ministers would be applauding the wealthy and

  274. taking no thought to the one with two pennies, 'cause her

  275. heart demonstrated her offering, 'cause you can fake one.

  276. You can drop $10,000 to someone to try to get into their sphere

  277. of influence. Oh, you don't want to hear this,

  278. but they'll say it. You can fake a praise, but you

  279. can't fake an offering. Oh, yeah, you can.

  280. You can fake it all the way into influence and manipulation.

  281. Yeah, you sure can. This is why the Lord says judges

  282. don't take a bribe. Back in the Old coven, what?

  283. They were getting an offering from someone.

  284. This is called special interest today.

  285. Hallelujah. It's called special interest.

  286. Special interest to get all kind of laws passed.

  287. Amen. They're fat, man.

  288. We know. We really appreciate you.

  289. We want to sow into your campaign.

  290. We vow. No, you don't.

  291. You're faking an offering. You're looking for people.

  292. Do it in the church. All right, I'll.

  293. I'll deal with all of them. Amen.

  294. Amen. Come on.

  295. Thank you, Jesus. So today we're going to deal

  296. with three of these spirits. Last time we dealt with the

  297. spirit of the Lord. I'm going to deal with three

  298. today and so I'm going to take them, you know, one, they say

  299. that they're kind of in pairs. The last ones after the Spirit

  300. of the Lord, that you have the spirit of wisdom and

  301. understanding, counsel and strength, knowledge and the fear

  302. of the Lord. But I'm going to pull the fear

  303. of the Lord by itself and then jump into the wisdom and

  304. understanding. And This is why in Psalms 111

    Psalms 111:10

  305. verse 10, it says this. The fear of the Lord is the

  306. beginning of wisdom, a good understanding.

  307. Have all those who do His commandments, His praise endures

  308. forever. So notice the beginning of

  309. wisdom is the fear of the Lord. So the fear of the Lord is very

  310. important. And when you were born again and

  311. have the Spirit rest upon you, you've been given this spirit.

  312. OK, we do have the Holy Spirit with measure, unlike Jesus

  313. without measure. And when we all come together,

  314. we have it all. But that doesn't mean you're not

  315. having access to the seven characteristics of the Holy

  316. Ghost upon your life. And you need to carry the fear

  317. of the Lord, which tells me the Spirit of God has it.

  318. So then you should yield to it and have it in your in your own

  319. spirit. When I say your own spirit, I'm

  320. talking about the spirit of man that's been created in Christ.

  321. OK Proverbs 1533 says the fear of the Lord is the instruction

  322. for wisdom. OK, and before honor Tom's

  323. humility now let me explain humility real quick.

  324. Humility is not what most churches are ministering on

  325. humidity. All they're just so humble, you

  326. know, not going to take credit for anything, you know let's

  327. just give God, you know, I'm no good.

  328. I don't deserve anything. I'm not.

  329. Oh, I'm just so thank you know, there's a there's A and

  330. arrogance and pride actually of those statements because a lot

  331. of those people who do that aren't technically even in

  332. faith. They're not even believing God.

  333. You know, they're always just trying to make you think they're

  334. not as self-righteous as a lot of times they are.

  335. OK, because that's not the definition of humility.

  336. The definition of humility is I submit my will to his will.

  337. That is humility. To humble yourself before the

  338. Lord is to not my will. Your will be done.

  339. That's humility. And so we see here in this

  340. passage that the fear of the Lord is the instruction for

  341. wisdom, right? Well, if you receive

  342. instruction. What are you doing?

  343. Which is the wisdom gives you instruction.

  344. What does that mean? Then you're going to yield or

  345. humble yourself to function, believe, act that way, and guess

  346. what? It will bring honor into your

  347. life. I mean, Gay Gideon wasn't even

  348. known as a human being other than his family, yet God's had

  349. it, saw something in him and showed up and called him things

  350. that he didn't even believe himself.

  351. But what caused his name to rise among the ranks in his own

  352. nation, where he was the the least family in the least tribe,

  353. of which he himself was the least in his own family?

  354. It's because he humbled himself. Whatever you say I'm going to

  355. do, OK. And so when we do this, it's

  356. important. So the fear of the Lord is the

  357. instruction for wisdom. So we need to understand about

  358. the fear of the Lord if we're going to understand the spirit

  359. of wisdom and spirit of understanding.

  360. So turn over to Isaiah 33 six. Isaiah 33 six says this, and he

  361. will be the stability of your times.

  362. Now this is talking about the king.

  363. Again, Isaiah has a lot to say about King Jesus, right?

  364. And so Isaiah's prophesying of, of the King's coming, and I

  365. don't mean the last one specifically where he sets his

  366. foot down and he does the millennial reign and they you,

  367. you never take him out of the planet physically anymore.

  368. I'm talking about when he comes, period.

  369. Says he'll be the stability of your times, a wealth of

  370. salvation, wisdom and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is his

  371. treasure. Now if Jesus treasures

  372. something, should you treasure it?

  373. Come on. If Jesus considers the fear of

  374. the Lord where his values, what he finds valuable is, you know,

  375. understand a treasure is something that we have

  376. considered valuable. It's our treasure.

  377. I mean, you know, again, there were treasure boxes, people with

  378. high, it has great value. So what was Jesus's greatest

  379. value? The fear of the Lord, the fear

  380. of the Lord now the fear of the Lord is not God is going to kill

  381. me the minute I do something wrong.

  382. He just waiting for me to blow it.

  383. That is not the fear of the Lord.

  384. Okay, that's that's a seducing spirit, a doctrine of demons

  385. trying to, you know, convinced and whole denominations have

  386. changed this whole thing of how to live for God day in and day

  387. out because they're so in fear are not the reverential fear,

  388. but this fear that God's about to knock me down and pull me out

  389. of salve. I could lose it at any time.

  390. It's so so, you know, fragile this relationship that I have

  391. with God, right. If I look at the wrong thing, Oh

  392. my gosh, you know, I mean, it's that's not the fear of the Lord.

  393. OK, it's not the fear of the Lord, but this is a treasure.

  394. So by definition, a few scholars have said it this way.

  395. The fear of the Lord is this is Jesus willful will willingly

  396. kept himself in the in a place of submission, respect and honor

  397. to God the Father. Now that's key.

  398. Jesus willingly did this, not forced, not controlled by.

  399. Jesus had a will and we see it clearly in Scripture.

  400. In the garment he says Lord not my will, but your will be done.

  401. And he said on multiple counts, I don't speak anything on my

  402. initiative, but only what I've heard from the Father, which

  403. means he could have spoke on his own thoughts, but he did not.

  404. He yielded to the thoughts of his Father.

  405. He was always in this place of submission, respect, and honor

  406. to God the Father. That's what the fear of the Lord

  407. are you in a place of submission, respect, and honor

  408. to God the Father? If you are, then you're

  409. functioning under the spirit of the fear of the Lord.

  410. The fear of the Lord also means this.

  411. It means reverential awe, which prompts to obedience, which

  412. prompts to obedience. And in my own personal life, I

  413. mean, I have been, I stay up underneath this.

  414. I can't tell you how many times in conflict that at the end of

  415. the day, I know what my flesh is saying, I know what I want to

  416. say. I know how what's gone down, but

  417. I just need to stay in a place of obedience, period.

  418. I need to stay in the place of obedience.

  419. So what does that look like? And most of the time, it's

  420. crucify the flesh. Don't say that.

  421. Don't respond that way. Don't come back that way.

  422. Don't attack that way. Yeah.

  423. And you know, the minute you yield that way, then the other

  424. spirits are saying you're going to look like this, this, this.

  425. And you know what? You look like that.

  426. I get it. You look like it.

  427. I understand, but the reverential fear, it prompts me

  428. to obedience. I'm just going to have to do

  429. what God says here. It's isn't about me.

  430. It's not about because if God can't take care of my character,

  431. if he can't take care of my reputation.

  432. I mean, do you understand is all that's going on in the body of

  433. Christ today, especially in the realm of of of infants, carnal

  434. Christians, wolves. I mean, there's so many things

  435. that attack Jesus Christ is still building his church and

  436. there is a pure, I would say a pure bloodline of his church in

  437. the planet still today. You understand, don't equate the

  438. fact that things are happening that God is well with it.

  439. He's just very merciful. He's very merciful and

  440. long-suffering. But in the end, the purity of

  441. everyone who followed is going to rise to the top.

  442. It's just going to happen. I said it's just going to

  443. happen. That's why Jesus, when he is at

  444. the time of his greatest leadership, I mean, they're

  445. beating him, pulling out his beard.

  446. I mean, they put a crown of thorns.

  447. They're saying stuff. He's not even talking, are

  448. defending himself. They're railing against him and

  449. he's like this. I mean, Herod, King Herod was

  450. one of the worst, railed at him and Jesus was like, Jesus didn't

  451. even give him the plan of salvation.

  452. I don't even want to hear that, but that's fine.

  453. Wouldn't even talk to him about how he could get right.

  454. He was silent before the king the whole time.

  455. Wow. Which means his fear of the Lord

  456. prompted him not to. You know who I am now.

  457. I'm going to tell you right now, if you find yourself having

  458. these kinds of conversations, you need to stop and say, wait a

  459. minute, I need to have the fear of the Lord.

  460. That's why the Lord says vintage, says mine.

  461. Thus saith the Lord. I will repay.

  462. I'll repay. That's right.

  463. I'll do it. I'd much rather have God defend

  464. me than me defend me. Amen.

  465. You know, and I may feel like I have a great defense, but you

  466. understand when you're talking to the blind, I don't care how

  467. great the defense is. All right, so the fear of the

  468. Lord is also a fear of reverence, a care to please him

  469. and aversion to A to offend him. Now that's a big deal because

  470. you understand when you know Scripture, like I know a lot at

  471. Anchor Faith Church knows, then you understand.

  472. It's very important when you're underneath the spirit of the

  473. fear of the Lord that you make sure your tone, your words, your

  474. actions are not being offending him.

  475. Now, how do you offend Him? By not doing what the Spirit is

  476. telling you to do in the circumstance?

  477. Because again, without faith, it's impossible to please Him.

  478. He says you have a care to please Him, which means you have

  479. a care to live by faith. And you cannot live by faith if

  480. you're not first hearing His word, because faith comes by

  481. hearing His Word. And if you're hearing His word,

  482. then faith can come, but then you have to agree with it, be

  483. submitted to it, be prompt to obey it.

  484. OK, submit, yield to it. And as a result of that, then

  485. you're not offending Him because you're doing it His way.

  486. You're doing it his way. Hallelujah.

  487. I've, I've been in multiple places.

  488. And again, these are in multiple places throughout the world, OK,

  489. where I've been talking in a particular situation, we have

  490. the Holy Spirit. Everyone in the room is in

  491. agreement. But when they leave the room,

  492. not everybody follows the agreement of the Spirit.

  493. At that point, I have to stay with what the Spirit said

  494. because once I've done that, no matter what happens, I'm going

  495. to stay with what the Spirit of the God of the Lord said.

  496. Because if I'm doing that, then God will make His word come to

  497. pass. But if I go to defense, if I go

  498. against what he has declared for me to do after that meeting,

  499. then you know what? I I run the risk of offending

  500. the Lord, offending my father, and I do not want to do that.

  501. Look what it says here in Proverbs 16 six.

  502. It says, my loving kindness and truth.

  503. Iniquity is atoned for and by the fear of the Lord. 1 Keeps

  504. away from evil so #1 indicator If someone cannot seem to keep

  505. themselves away from evil, they keep falling into it.

  506. They're not yielding to the greater one on the inside of

  507. them and who has come upon them and are exercising the fear of

  508. the Lord, because the fear of the Lord will keep you away from

  509. evil. That's powerful.

  510. The fear of the Lord will keep you.

  511. So again, another seducing spirit or doctrine of demon

  512. that's in churches. I'm just a Sinner saved by

  513. grace, you know, I mean, I sin just like you.

  514. I mean, I sin every day. But I've asked God to save me.

  515. His grace is upon me. That is not what God has said.

  516. That is not from the Holy Spirit, because the fear of the

  517. Lord will keep you, say keep it will keep you.

  518. Grace has now empowered you to resist the temptation to sin so

  519. that you now have risen above it and you're no longer subject or

  520. yield to the law of sin and death.

  521. Period. And if you find yourself

  522. yielding to something you know is contrary to Scripture, you

  523. need to say, Lord, teach me. Are you hearing me?

  524. Teach me so that I can walk in the fear of the Lord.

  525. Proverbs 2317 says, do not let your heart envy sinners.

  526. You know how many believers are envious of those in the world?

  527. And I wish I could do what they could do.

  528. I wish I could. They're they're died, they're in

  529. death. It's fake happiness.

  530. It's not real joy or peace. Have you forgotten where you

  531. came out of? He says.

  532. But live in the fear of the Lord.

  533. How often? Come on, how often, come on, how

  534. often? So that means you cannot live in

  535. the fear of the Lord from 10:30 AM to 12:30 or one whenever we

  536. close today and that's it. You don't live in it in service,

  537. You don't live in it only during you know, when you're around

  538. people, right, all around other believers, you live it always.

  539. It's always dictating your response.

  540. Amen. So don't envy sinners shouldn't

  541. envy them at all. And if anything, you should have

  542. compassion for them, right? You're like, man, that's that's

  543. just, this is tough. The life they're in, that's

  544. horrible, man. And some of the the richest ones

  545. that believers try to run after are the ones to be the most

  546. pitied actually, because you said it's hard.

  547. It's hard for a rich man who's put all this trust in his wealth

  548. to get into the Kingdom. So when they got all those

  549. yachts and they're flying and jet set now, you should be like,

  550. oh Lord, I pray there be a way because I know for them it's

  551. hard. But what do we do?

  552. We want it. And we hear a spirit say, man,

  553. get it. You'll be more effective for

  554. God. Well, if that's your motivation

  555. for getting it, you're already off because I'm pleasing to God

  556. with what I already possess and as he adds to me, I'll just keep

  557. doing what's already my character.

  558. It doesn't show up after I get it.

  559. Amen. Proverbs 22 four says this.

  560. The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord are what are

  561. they? Riches, honor, life.

  562. This is less hilarious. So when one scripture, you're

  563. like, don't be envious because if you're envying them, you're

  564. not functioning in the fear of the Lord.

  565. But if you're functioning in the fear of the Lord, Rick, because

  566. if I need you on their yacht to take you around the world, I can

  567. get you there. Oh, you don't want to.

  568. I mean, God is not limited. This was so amazing and being

  569. able to navigate resources, even the unrighteous resource to the

  570. righteous. So again, the reward of humbling

  571. yourself or saying Lord, not my will, your will be done and the

  572. fear of the Lord, I want to I respect you, I honor you.

  573. In no way do I want to do anything that's displeasing to

  574. you. I only want to please you and I

  575. want to be always an obedient to your word.

  576. Never do I want to offend you because some of our offense to

  577. God is through our actions with others.

  578. I mean, I'll never forget this and it was you know, I was just

  579. a babe in Christ, man, honestly, I was a babe in Christ, OK, I

  580. was a baby in Christ. I had not mature.

  581. I had very little information and revelation concerning.

  582. I knew I was born again. I was filled with the Holy

  583. Ghost, but I had no context of what I had none, you know, and I

  584. had been raised in a denomination church was was just

  585. get people saved, you know, So again, the this, this spirit of

  586. the world talked to the church about you need to be relevant to

  587. the world. The world doesn't understand

  588. you. So you need to be relevant.

  589. You know, you need to act like it, you know, because if you act

  590. like them, you know, then you can kind of break down the

  591. walls. You can share because again, it

  592. is Jesus in your heart or not. I mean, this is how they

  593. function. Now, I'm gonna give you a case

  594. in point, right? I'm telling myself.

  595. I used to dip tobacco. My dad smoked.

  596. I did not smoke, But the same nicotine that was around my dad

  597. showed up at me in another form. OK.

  598. And that's when I was in high school, started it.

  599. And then after I got out of school, well, I had a friend of

  600. mine that was not living for God at all.

  601. I had married my wife. We had dedicated our lives to

  602. God. We were still in the Baptist

  603. Church. Yeah, we were still in the

  604. Baptist Church. I wouldn't fill with the Holy

  605. Ghost, actually. So scratch that.

  606. All I am is born again. So I'm like real infant here,

  607. OK. And so I wanted to make an

  608. impression on my friend. You know, I was trying to open

  609. up the course of the code. We used to drink and do all

  610. kinds of stuff at one time. And again, I was born again at

  611. 9:00. So I'm not living for God.

  612. I'm living to, you know, American gospel people, not the

  613. Bible gospel. And he was merciful and

  614. long-suffering with me, OK. But I had quit, you know,

  615. dipping all together because again, our life was different.

  616. Well, I started picking it up again because he did.

  617. So I go down to seeing where he worked and, you know, he

  618. offered. And instead of act like I'm more

  619. holy than him, Oh sure, 'cause you know I'm not going to go to

  620. hell, 'cause I take a dip. I know this.

  621. However, my unwillingness to just do the right lifestyle,

  622. period, I was offending God because he didn't send me down

  623. there to make so that he can think we look alike because if

  624. we look alike, why does he need a change?

  625. And today's modern American Christianity, they'll go to the

  626. clubs with them, they'll go to the bars with them.

  627. They'll do everything. And then, you know, oh, we're

  628. not showing them a different life.

  629. And I, we've got people here that were Alcoholics.

  630. They were bound to alcohol. And the last thing they need is

  631. a preacher to come drink one with them because that's called

  632. confusing. It's like, well, you know,

  633. basically all we're saying is our God is able to save us from

  634. a place called hell, which is his anyway.

  635. The hell is not the devil's. The devil doesn't own hell.

  636. God because sin existed, because the devil was cast out, there

  637. was a lake of fire destined for him that became a by product of

  638. God's Kingdom called a prison system.

  639. So God's in control of that place.

  640. God's in control of the lake of fire because once you're in

  641. there is no parole God will seek.

  642. There is no such thing as a lake of fire break, a prison break.

  643. Now they made for all eternity try to figure out how they can

  644. get out, but it will be only a failed attempt because God has

  645. that thing on lockdown. Hallelujah.

  646. We really should sing that song instead of hell lost another

  647. one, we say God pardon another one and I am free, right?

  648. Because at the end of the day, you deserve to be there and God

  649. can pardon you. From yourself, glory to God.

  650. OK, my point is, is that that is offensive to God because even in

  651. my immaturity, I had already made decision.

  652. I should stop this. I mean, I mean, it created other

  653. sin where I I go home and my wife doesn't even know.

  654. And we'll get to that one. I didn't think.

  655. Now she was born again and filled with a Holy Ghost.

  656. So she had access to things I wasn't even operating in at the

  657. time. So she was merciful to me too.

  658. Amen. Thank you Jesus, so again the

  659. reward of humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, honor

  660. and life. Could it be that some of the

  661. transfer of the wealth of the wicked is not coming to the

  662. church quicker is because we really do not have the fear of

  663. the Lord in our lives? How do you know a fear of the

  664. Lord can manifest? Are you in church?

  665. Every time the door opens I'm preaching because that is the

  666. obedience of God's word. Do not forsake the assembling of

  667. yourself together as is the habit of some and all the more

  668. as you see the day drawing near you should this your number one

  669. thought process is what can I do for his church that He's planted

  670. me with? It's my number one priority and

  671. everything else is just an outlay or a byproduct of this

  672. existence. Period.

  673. And we have confused ourselves again through wrong spirits.

  674. Well, the pastor gets paid. That's his job.

  675. This is not my job. There are criteria where the

  676. Lord does say because of the assignment, you'll be able to

  677. receive it from the the church itself.

  678. But we all have a part to play and God's paying every one of

  679. us, every one of us, every one of us, right?

  680. But again, what's the Spirit say?

  681. Well, that pastor not going to control me.

  682. I don't control you anyway. I mean, that is the dumbest

  683. thing should be the easiest thing for you to cast off.

  684. Because if I was controlling you, I would come to your house,

  685. I'd come to your house, I'd drag you out.

  686. I'd have, I would be on your bank account.

  687. I'd be on your bank account. I would be a joint account

  688. holder. In fact, I might probably be

  689. primary, and I will give you an allowance.

  690. That way you then have what's leftover that you gave first to

  691. the Lord. But again, to do that, your

  692. heart's not in it. God doesn't do that.

  693. He wants you to love Him with all your heart.

  694. I'm not controlling you. I mean, if believers would just

  695. stop and think, but there's a lot of spirits talking

  696. religiously and the untrained and and the offended, let's put

  697. it that way, receive it. All right, Let's go to the

  698. Spirit of Wisdom. Spirit of Wisdom, y'all doing

  699. all right, Amen. I don't want to stop.

  700. I just want to drive on y'all, OK?

  701. I mean, it's still young, but we have water baptism.

  702. And I know that the Spirit of Wisdom, look what it says in

  703. Proverbs 319, it says the Lord say the Lord by wisdom founded

  704. the earth by understanding he established the heavens.

  705. Can that's pretty amazing that Wisdom founded the earth.

  706. I mean, we can. We still to this day have no

  707. concept of all of the order and intricacies that are involved

  708. with planet earth. Man is still dumbfounded by how

  709. this thing does all that by wisdom, everything is in motion

  710. and maintaining it's amazing. And by understanding the he

  711. established the heavens. Look what it says in first

  712. Corinthians 130. It says, but by his doing you

  713. are in Christ who became to us wisdom from God and

  714. righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

  715. So Jesus is wisdom already. Now I'm going to give my plug

  716. again because it's very important because again, in

  717. American Christianity, we don't we don't think that knowing

  718. Jesus other than I asked him to come into my heart and save me.

  719. That's all we need to know. And that makes us, you know,

  720. untouchable. All right, But it's in Christ by

  721. because he is wisdom. If you are not in the word, then

  722. you are not accessing wisdom. That's right, not wisdom that

  723. comes from above because there is some things that happened

  724. down in the earth that has knowledge about it.

  725. But James, maybe we'll pick it up when I get over to knowledge

  726. next week. It says it's it's earthly and

  727. it's demonic. If you stay within the realm of

  728. the natural and the spirit that does that you hear because

  729. you're not connected to the Word, then all you know is

  730. really demonic. But if you get over into the

  731. word because in Christ, because he is wisdom, I said he is

  732. wisdom. So you cannot even begin to

  733. function with the Spirit of wisdom outside of the revelation

  734. of of the Christ or His Word. Wisdom means this.

  735. Wisdom consists in the choice of the best means to secure the

  736. best ends. Wisdom consists in the choice of

  737. the best means to secure the best ends.

  738. You could say it this way. Wisdom is intellectual

  739. clearness, Intellectual clearness, intellectual

  740. clearness. Doctor Miles Monroe used to say

  741. this. He said the greatest tragedy in

  742. life is life without purpose, right?

  743. He said the greatest challenge in life is knowing what to do,

  744. and many believers do not have intellectual clearness.

  745. The number one reason they don't is because they do not spend

  746. time in the Word where wisdom is found.

  747. First of all, it's opened up because of the fear of the Lord.

  748. They don't even have the heart to just want to honor their

  749. Father and be quick to obey Him and never to offend Him.

  750. Which means the reason I'm in the Word is not so that I can

  751. look smart. My motive is not so I look

  752. smarter and more anointed than everyone else.

  753. My motive, it comes from the fear of the Lord.

  754. Father, I just want to know you. I just want to know you and I

  755. want to be quick to obey you because your life, where am I

  756. going to go? Your words are life.

  757. The last thing I want to do is behave in a way that is

  758. offensive to you or offends you. So show me your word.

  759. Now when you go in there, guess what?

  760. Wisdom begins to open up. Wisdom begins to open up.

  761. And again, God knows your heart or the why you're doing what

  762. you're doing. We're going to see that here in

  763. a minute. So it's intellectual clearness.

  764. It also means this. It means wisdom is the power of

  765. discerning the nature of things through the appearance.

  766. What I mean is there you're not discerning it based upon what

  767. you see. You're discerning it beyond what

  768. you see or, or you are. Yeah, you're discerning it

  769. beyond what you see. You're able to to recognize us.

  770. In essence, you can be in a situation, but yet you have

  771. God's Word, and wisdom allows you to navigate in a way that's

  772. contrary to what you see because you're already, you're through

  773. it. In essence, this, it's this

  774. salt. Yeah, though I walk through the

  775. valley of the shadow of death. I'm in what looks like death,

  776. but it's just a shadow, and I'm going to walk through it there.

  777. In fact, He is a lamp into my feet and a light into my path,

  778. Right. So in essence, I see things, but

  779. yet I go to Him, and wisdom now opens up, which allows me to go

  780. through the appearance of what I am, what I see, so that we can

  781. accomplish God's ultimate will. Are you hearing me well in

  782. Ephesians 117? And God wants you to have this.

  783. Look what it says here, that the God of the Lord Jesus Christ,

  784. the Father, glory may give to you a spirit of wisdom.

  785. Wisdom. Now we'll be able to use this

  786. again next week and the revelation of the knowledge of

  787. Him concerning the spirit of knowledge.

  788. But here God wants to give you a spirit of wisdom.

  789. But again, the spirit of wisdom, it opens up because of the

  790. spirit of the fear of the Lord. All right, so you got to make

  791. sure your heart's right so that then you can have access to

  792. wisdom that created the earth, founded the earth.

  793. Amazing stuff. This is what's so amazing about

  794. that statement. By wisdom He founded the earth,

  795. which means anything you got going on in this planet wisdom,

  796. which means if you get his, you can access it.

  797. I mean, you start, things can happen.

  798. It's amazing. Look what it says here in

  799. Proverbs 3. How blessed are the man who

  800. finds wisdom and the man who gains understanding for her

  801. profit is better than silver and gold.

  802. Thank you Jesus. And her her gain is better than

  803. fine gold. She is more precious than jewel,

  804. and nothing desire compares with her.

  805. Long life is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and

  806. honor. Her ways are pleasant ways and

  807. all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those

  808. who take hold of her and happy are all who hold her.

  809. Fast man, let's do the last one real quick and we'll close.

  810. Psalms 119 verse 34 says Give me understanding that I may observe

    Psalms 119:34

  811. your law and keep it with all my heart.

  812. The only reason why the church has moved into the sways of the

  813. world and their writings and the way they craft things today is

  814. because number one, they have no value for the word of the king.

  815. And here the psalmist says look and the Psalms 119 is an amazing

  816. Psalms, OK, He said give me understanding that I'm and why

  817. do I want understanding? Not so that I'm smarter than

  818. everyone, so that I can tell people what to do.

  819. No, so that I may observe your law, which is His word.

  820. The word law is not immediately associated with Moses, although

  821. there is connections there. But again, even the law of Moses

  822. was perfect and blameless. It's just that our nature could

  823. not keep it, but Jesus did. He fulfilled it.

  824. Are you hearing me? It is to keep His word and to

  825. keep it with all my heart. So I want to keep His word with

  826. all my heart. Psalms 119 One O 4 says this.

  827. From your precepts, I get understanding, which means,

  828. again, if you're not in the Word, you're not receiving God's

  829. understanding or the spirit of understanding is not speaking to

  830. you. You cannot have this outside of

  831. a continual constant relationship with the reading of

  832. the Word. I'm not talking about you

  833. listening to YouTube preachers. I'm talking about you Again, let

  834. me give you the case in point. You cannot grow watching someone

  835. else eat, wow, that steak looks good.

  836. It's good man. And you know what?

  837. You're not getting nourished and there's so many believers that

  838. are watching everyone else and you're not getting nursed

  839. because you're really not trying to break it down to assimilate,

  840. studying it for yourself, making it your own.

  841. You're just Hallelujah, praise the Lord.

  842. Well, you know, I'm going to restaurant go, wow, that steak

  843. smells good. Wow, look how beautiful that is.

  844. I smell that. Oh, that smells good.

  845. I can get all the aroma of all the food and leave hungry and

  846. then I just, I can come in five times a day.

  847. I can see I can live in the restaurant and watch every meal

  848. that goes to every table and die because I'm unwilling to put it

  849. in my own mouth and chew on it. All right, so let's get to where

  850. we're chewing. Well, we are.

  851. I mean, I you understand, he says your precepts from your

  852. precept. I get understanding.

  853. Therefore I hate, say, hate every false way.

  854. You understand? As a believer, it's OK to hate

  855. some things. You know, man, there's a bunch

  856. of, you know, they hate. Yeah.

  857. Yeah, we do. And that's love.

  858. Love hates. Love can hate.

  859. No problem. There's no issue there.

  860. God has no problem with that. He wants you to hate some

  861. things, and he definitely wants you to hate evil, wants you to

  862. hate it. He don't want you to rub

  863. shoulders with it. He don't want you to caress it.

  864. He don't want you to take it to bed with you.

  865. He wants you to hate it. All right.

  866. So the definition of this is moral insight, OK?

  867. It means the power of discerning the differences of things in

  868. their appearance. Man, we're going to get touched

  869. on this a little bit more. Judgement resulting from wisdom

  870. by which we distinguish things or decide on their character.

  871. So if you're not pulling wisdom in, then you won't have the

  872. right judgement of the situation.

  873. And you know what is an epidemic in the church today?

  874. People thinking they know about something without knowing it at

  875. all. They have no understanding of

  876. the situation. But buddy, they are walking

  877. around judging it and talking to people.

  878. Except for the one who actually has the information.

  879. All right? It also means this idea of a

  880. sharp sense of smell. I love this one and I'm going to

  881. tell you this particular commentary's name.

  882. His name is Trap. Don't know his name other than

  883. that, that's all that was left by another commentary.

  884. But this is how this person framed understanding.

  885. It's amazing sharpness of judgment in smelling out a

  886. hypocrite. His sharp nose easily discerns

  887. and is offended with the stinking breath of the

  888. hypocrites. Hypocrites rotten lungs through

  889. his word, though his words be never so scented and perfumed

  890. with shows of holiness. In essence you got bad breath

  891. bro. This is why God knows your heart

  892. because your breath stinks it has no holiness in it.

  893. Oh man, this is so good and let me tell you, when you start

  894. functioning on the spirit of understanding, man it take you

  895. to the thing about functioning on the spirit of understanding

  896. is that it's going to give you access to things.

  897. And I'm talking about though again, this is not happening if

  898. you're not functioning under the fear of the Lord walking in

  899. wisdom. It gives you the position of

  900. understanding. If you're a haphazard Christian

  901. doing it, you know, kind of on your terms, then anything you

  902. think you've perceived you are wrong.

  903. This is a pure line. It's a pure line.

  904. Matthew 2218 says it this way. But Jesus perceived their malice

  905. and said, why are you testing me, you hypocrites?

  906. Right. Which means Jesus had the

  907. ability through the Spirit of understanding of their motives.

  908. OK, Don't, don't make me regret. Regret ending on understanding,

  909. OK, OK, All right, this isn't trying to bring everybody down,

  910. but this is sobering, OK? The thing is, is that nobody in

  911. the room, including me, is fooling God.

  912. It's not happening. And I think that's the biggest

  913. thing that motivates me in the fear of the Lord is because I

  914. know I am not fooling him, I'm not fooling him.

  915. Mark chapter 2, verse 8. Immediately Jesus aware in his

    Mark 2:8

  916. spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves.

  917. He he said to them, why are you reasoning about these things in

  918. your heart? He had the spirit of

  919. understanding. So he's in a room again.

  920. You know, we want unity and unity's powerful because when

  921. the church is in unity, it's good for us.

  922. It doesn't stop God. It's a lot of time.

  923. Well, God can't do if we don't get unity.

  924. God can move even if unity's not there.

  925. He just needs one person in faith.

  926. But it's better for us when we unify because we are actually

  927. stronger and a better witness to the world because we kind of

  928. hinder our witness when we're backbiters and we're not in

  929. unity with one another, our unity to the word and unified

  930. together. But God can function and still

  931. perform where this unity is present.

  932. And in this particular case, he's about, he's going to heal a

  933. guy. He says your sins are forgiven

  934. to when they rip the roof off and there's a group of Pharisees

  935. with their rotten lungs that were reasoning who this is

  936. blasphemy. Only God can forgive sin and he

  937. says why are you reasoning in essence, he told them about

  938. themselves yet in the corner they look like they the holy

  939. bunch that they're more holy than anyone else in the room.

  940. Hey man, so he calls them outlook at this Luke chapter 20

    Luke 20:21–23

  941. verses 21 to 23. They questioned him saying,

  942. teacher, we know that you speak and teach correctly and you are

  943. not partial to any, but teach the way of God and truth.

  944. Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?

  945. And he detected their trickery and said to them, So somebody

  946. talking to you all nicey nice doesn't mean they're nicey nice.

  947. This is the thing about the spirit of understanding, right?

  948. Again, I have personally been in situations where someone has

  949. come in, it's like, you know, your your word and you know, I

  950. mean, I remember one particular place I went and say like, wow,

  951. the anointing is in the room because I walked in the room.

  952. I was at a house and I'm like, that's odd, right?

  953. You know, my mind. I'm like, that's odd, but okay,

  954. whatever. Well, it's because that person

  955. had was out of a denominational church that didn't believe in

  956. the baptism of the Holy Ghost or the gifts of the Spirit.

  957. And they had discovered it and they were really excited and

  958. wanted to talk with me because I was right.

  959. Really, they were there to impress me.

  960. You know, I didn't discern it initially, but I did discern

  961. something necessarily right because it was a little over the

  962. top. And who are the anointings here?

  963. Right? OK, so apparently you discern

  964. when I walk in the room. I had an anointing.

  965. By the time we get done with the conversation, they said I was

  966. preaching false doctrine, like, well, what am I?

  967. Because you said something different when I walked in the

  968. room, right? Well, it's because, again, they

  969. didn't really believe in the baptism of Holy Spirit, whatever

  970. is Speaking of tongues, only tongues through the gifts.

  971. OK. And so when I started taking

  972. them through Scripture, they wanted to take me through the

  973. commentaries of their Bible. I said, I'm not.

  974. You're believing this guy's interpretation of this.

  975. Let's just stay with Scripture messing them up.

  976. So at that point, I'm like, you know what?

  977. Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the

  978. grave? Yep.

  979. Do you believe if you ask him to be Lord, you be saved?

  980. Yep. Then let's just stay at that.

  981. So do I. I'm not having this

  982. conversation, right, because I've discerned that you do not

  983. have actual ears to hear. Right?

  984. OK, had another person come in and talk about the, the worship

  985. and the message and all this that and the other then only to

  986. tell me their self-proclaimed prophet.

  987. And, you know, they're going to start telling me what I need to

  988. tell the congregation. And they're so humble.

  989. They're going to stay in the back so that nobody knows them

  990. because they come in late anyway.

  991. And they leave early because God forbid that they act, you know,

  992. put on all this holiness that they are and they got to stay

  993. disconnected so they can hear from God because God forbid they

  994. get around you. I mean, Jesus was only the

  995. greatest prophet, but yet he was around people all the time.

  996. It seemed like being around people didn't corrupt his

  997. ability to be able to discern. So again, those are not from the

  998. Spirit of God. So the minute they taught, I

  999. said, I'm not doing that. You're not the Holy Ghost for

1000. me. Pastor Angie was in that

1001. meeting. So they're like, well, you know

1002. what? I'll just come to worship and

1003. leave. I said, well, if you're not

1004. staying for the word that you said that the ministering of the

1005. world was great and rightly divided, there's really no

1006. reason for you to come. And they're like, are you

1007. telling me I can't come to church?

1008. I didn't say that what I said. And I had to repeat because

1009. apparently they were hard of hearing.

1010. And then they said, well, the Lord's released me from here.

1011. I said, you're right. Now that is the Spirit of God.

1012. He has released you from here because He never sent you except

1013. for you to learn what He has taught us and to get you out of

1014. your deception. But you like the voices you hear

1015. more than you do the voice of God.

1016. And this is the problem when people start picking up

1017. deceiving spirits as they like the voices.

1018. All right, Luke Chapter 9, verse 4648.

    Luke 9 chapter mention

1019. Got a couple more and then we'll move on.

1020. He said an argument started among them as to which of them

1021. might be the greatest. Jesus, knowing what they were

1022. thinking in their heart, took a child and stood by his side and

1023. said, whoever receives this child and my name receives me,

1024. and whoever receives me, who sent me is the one who is least

1025. among all of you. This is the one who is great.

1026. So again, here's his own disciples having a challenge

1027. about stuff and he has understanding.

1028. He's discerned now it sounds good.

1029. Who's going to be the greatest? Who's going to be?

  1030. But he's like, something ain't right.

1031. With this conversation again, the Pharisees came to seem like,

1032. oh, you're such a great teacher. We know you teach correctly.

1033. You're just trying to trick me. You're just trying to get me to

1034. say something so you can throw me.

1035. I mean, you understand, I, I, I am probably you as well.

1036. But I know I have had people come around only to try to get

1037. me to mess up. Now, can I say this?

1038. It is a really wrong place to be that when someone finds out

1039. about you not doing right and you repent and get right, that

1040. you all of a sudden take this thought.

1041. You can't wait for the one that helped you to do wrong so you

1042. can feel better about yourself. I say this every time in Vision

1043. Partnership. I cannot tell you that people

1044. won't talk about me. They talked about Jesus.

1045. All I say is when they mention my name and things I'm doing and

1046. I'm not there, would you please stop them and say, let's set a

1047. meeting with Pastor Earl so he can be in the meeting to verify

1048. what you're saying he did. Because I'll do it and have done

1049. it because I hear stuff because I'm the pastor.

1050. I hear some stuff by the Spirit. And those are the ones that I

1051. don't try to address the quickest because they're the

1052. most problematic. That's the Sarah moment.

1053. She's laughing in the tent when Jesus says she's going to have a

1054. baby next year. She comes out to give him some

1055. food and he goes, why'd you laugh?

1056. I didn't laugh. Now, if you were standing around

1057. the tent as one of the helpers and Jesus said, no, you did

  1058. laugh. I didn't laugh.

1059. Well, who you going to believe they could go in and say, Sarah,

1060. I can't believe he called you a liar and said to you, I can't

  1061. believe that. Yeah, I mean, I I didn't laugh.

1062. And then here she is selling a lie because we know Jesus is

1063. right. Those are tough when you're

1064. like, I know you're talking about me.

  1065. I know you're spreading rumors. No, I'm not.

  1066. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I do.

1067. Those are hard. So, you know, I'm like, Lord,

1068. you know, I'll do it if you tell me.

1069. But I'd much rather have the smoking gun.

1070. Well, smoking gun comes when they tell somebody else and then

1071. someone tells me, and then I'm like, we'll set a meeting.

1072. So and so said that you said. I mean, I've done this because,

1073. again, the Bible says go to them in private.

  1074. Did this happen? No.

1075. Well, I got the person who said it is right outside the door and

1076. I'll bring them in right now because somebody is not honest.

1077. Say Amen anyway, right. OK, discernment, Peter, discern

  1078. Simon the sorcerer. Man.

1079. I want to pay some money to get that.

1080. Your heart's not right, son. And he was like, and pray for me

1081. that what you just said didn't happen because, again, he was a

1082. babe in Christ. He just got born again.

1083. He hadn't got rid of his sorcery ways completely in his mindset,

1084. but his spirit man was born again.

1085. Are you hearing me? We'll close with this one.

1086. Luke Chapter 9, verses 51 to 55. Are you here?

    Luke 9:51–55

1087. Are you getting anything today? All right, I know we've gone

1088. along, but hey, where else we going to go eat?

1089. I mean, my wife had the record the other day.

1090. I got to beat it again. I mean, that's how this works.

1091. And Pastor Mike comes up and tries to beat mine.

1092. Pastor Chase is probably going to try to beat us all because

1093. he's younger. I'll be like, no, I'll come back

1094. and get the title. I'm just kidding.

1095. I mean, can we we can discern we you go to movies longer than

1096. what I preach anyway. So, I mean, there's some that

1097. I'm going to beat right now. OK.

1098. When the days were approaching for his ascension, he was

1099. determined to go to Jerusalem. And he sent messages on ahead

1100. and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to

1101. make arrangement for him, but they did not receive him because

1102. he was traveling towards Jerusalem.

1103. When his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord,

1104. do you want us to command fire to come down from heaven and

1105. consume them? Look what Jesus says.

1106. But but he turned and what guys I really appreciate you love me

1107. so much and I wish everybody that followed me had a heart

1108. like you to want to defend me, care for me.

1109. No, it's not what Jesus did. He rebuked them and said you do

1110. not know what kind of spirit you are.

1111. And this is James and John you, you ready for this.

1112. There were three of the 12 that he spent more time with was on

1113. the Mount of Transfiguration. And here's two of the three.

1114. I mean they had access and yet they're still hearing the wrong

1115. because here's the thing, the spirits only telling them

1116. something that they know has occurred cause fire came down to

1117. heaven with the prophet Elijah sure did.

1118. And they were on the mountain when they saw him.

1119. So just because you want to do a scripture that mean you're

1120. hearing God in that this is really important.

1121. So here's someone that's been around for a while, been

1122. associated with Jesus in his inner circle, yet can get it

1123. wrong. Are you hearing me?

1124. So the spirit of understanding is really important because

1125. here's the cool thing, because Jesus could discern those

1126. situations, guess what? You have access to as well.

1127. You do as well. And half the stuff going on in

1128. the church would really not go on in the church.

1129. If they had the fear of the Lord moved into the spirit of wisdom,

1130. they would access the spirit of understanding.

1131. And when someone started talking about someone and started doing

1132. something, you'd be like, no, no, no, no, no.

1133. Because typically what happens is a person comes to you and

1134. just starts talking and then you give them the stiff arm,

1135. spiritual stiff arm. I'm not listening to that.

1136. So then they come back more crafty and they start to give

1137. accolades about stuff or they start giving to you personally.

1138. There's all kinds of ways to start working it if they're

1139. going to have that kind of heart.

1140. But you can discern every one of them, everyone.

1141. This is why we are the least excused because we have access

1142. to this kind of. I mean, you shouldn't be

1143. delusional about ministers on YouTube.

1144. Should be easy for you to say, yeah, I'm not going to listen

1145. that that's not hooked up to the Spirit.

1146. I am because I'm in the Word and they can't manipulate me.

1147. At Anchor Faith Church, there's one thing you're going to get

1148. here. It is a heavy diet of the Word.

1149. It's going to happen because at the end of the day, I don't

1150. control you. But God sure wants to lead you

1151. and He definitely wants us to be in unity and brotherly love.

1152. And that comes from knowing the Word and then wants us to be

1153. very influential in our world. And that only comes from knowing

1154. the will of the Father. Let me say it this way, God is

1155. not a case law judge. He does not judge you based upon

1156. your case. He has met the condition so that

1157. everyone can take a pathway and it's all righteous, no

1158. favoritism, none. He's paid the price and it's up

1159. to you to follow his way. So you don't have a special case

1160. with him. You have a corrected course by

1161. him should you willfully want to follow.

1162. Because he is just for all, for all.

1163. Every tongue, every tribe, every nation, none or at a

1164. disadvantage, and all are without excuse.
