Well, the Lord is good, and His mercy endures.
-
For how long? How long do you believe that?
-
Amen. Turn over to Ephesians chapter
Ephesians 2 chapter mention
-
2. In Ephesians chapter 2, we're
Ephesians 2 chapter mention
-
going to start in verse 4 and go to verse 7.
-
So excited to be ministering. How many have been enjoying
-
Wednesday night service with Pastor Marcy's?
-
The Lord is your shepherd. Hallelujah, man.
-
It's been powerful. Obviously we weren't here
-
Wednesday night because Pastor Mike and I had was, was
-
traveling, but I've been here in powerful testimonies and I'm
-
thankful for that. And she's got another week of of
-
ministry on that subject, so you don't want to miss it.
-
Amen. In Ephesians chapter 2 verse 4
-
through 7, it says this but God say but God come on say but God
-
say but God now this but God comes after a bad report of your
-
life, a bad report of all humanity, that all have sinned,
-
that everyone is outside of the family of God, destined to be
-
judged and separated eternally. They are full of sin, full of
-
rebellion, are against and away from God.
-
They are dead in spirit but God, but God, But God being what?
-
Rich in mercy? Aren't you glad he's merciful?
-
Aren't you glad he's a merciful God?
-
But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with
-
which he loved us even when we were dead in our transgressions,
-
made us alive together with Christ.
-
By grace you have been saved and raised us up with Him and seated
-
us with Him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the
-
ages to come he might show the surpassing riches of his grace
-
in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus.
-
You know, it's the kindness of God that draws us to repentance.
-
And so God is rich in mercy. He is rich and the reason he can
-
be rich is because his love has paid the price for all of our
-
wrongdoing. I liken it this way.
-
A lot of times, you know, we, we and we'll minister next year
-
concerning the difference between grace and mercy because
-
there's a difference. A lot of times we invoke the
-
word grace when we really should be saying it's the mercy of God.
-
It's not the grace of God, It's the mercy of God because the
-
mercy of God and the grace of God are different.
-
But when it comes to the mercy of God and God has done, has
-
paid the price for your every wrongdoing you've ever done, I'm
-
told. I'm saying before you even got
-
out of your mother's womb, he's already paid the price for it.
-
There is no wrongdoing. You can do that.
-
It's not already paid in full. Are you hearing me?
-
So I want us to get a little better picture of the mercy of
-
God because we've all experienced this kind of mercy
-
in the natural. All right, Now, I'm not going to
-
make you have a show of hands, but maybe most of us that are of
-
driving age have exceeded the speed limit at some time in our
-
life. And as a result of that, we just
-
happen to exceed it when the police were watching and
-
monitoring it. In fact, I passed 2:00 today.
-
Yeah. Now, when I said pass, I didn't
-
blow past them. You understand, I was on the
-
road. Can I can I just pause for a
-
second? I'm going to come back to this
-
story. I have learned what it means to
-
function properly with power because when I purchased a
-
particular vehicle that has, that's built for power, right?
-
You have to be wise when you possess power.
-
I've been at lights and all of a sudden things happen with the
-
other vehicles. If it causes them to want to
-
challenge my power, they just look over and they see me and
-
they like, oh, I have literally had them take off as if we were
-
racing. And in my mind concerning which
-
vehicle that took off, I think to myself, if you only knew what
-
I could do, but I restrain myself.
-
Are you hearing me? And so today, you know, I wanted
-
to get to service. I get excited about getting to
-
service. And so when this an open Rd.
-
sometimes, you know, the desire to I put mine in sports mode
-
today, not because I had to. I just wanted to not that I
-
drove as a sports car. I just put it in that mode.
-
And so it was tempting to want to say, let me just do 20 miles
-
real fast and then come back off.
-
You know what I'm saying? Just get up there real quick and
-
then come right back, right? And every time I have, I
-
thought, no. And then all of a sudden there
-
was a police officer with the gun out.
-
I thought, praise the Lord, praise the Lord.
-
I restrained myself, right? And so then I turned off to go
-
to down another St. and nobody's on the road.
-
That thought came. Just hit it right.
-
You have power. I'm like, Nah, you know, I
-
didn't. Then when I got to the end of
-
the road, hit the stop sign, there was a police officer
-
across the road. He'd have watched me just fly
-
up. Well, you know what happened
-
then? Yeah, I'd have seen the light.
-
So you know how many of us have seen the light?
-
We have seen the light. We've done those things where
-
all of a sudden someone, you know, pulls you over and you
-
know, they asked the proverbial question, Sir, did you know you
-
were speeding? You know, now some of y'all
-
aren't honest. You lie right out the gate,
-
right? No, I didn't.
-
For me, it's like, yes, Sir, right?
-
I mean, let's just tell the truth.
-
What's coming's coming at the end of the day, right?
-
So what do they do? Typically they go at that point,
-
they pulled up, they grab your license, they go sit back in the
-
car and they let you sweat a little bit, right, 'cause, you
-
know, I have been caught, it is justified, I am wrong.
-
And the ticket they give me, it is due.
-
I have to pay the price period for my wrongdoing, right?
-
You see them because you're watching them in your rearview
-
mirror, you know, you're trying to act calm and cool, you know,
-
not sweat and get all upset, right?
-
And then all of a sudden they get out of the vehicle and they
-
start walking up and they hand you your license back, you know,
-
and your insurance card. And they said, and I'm going to
-
give you a warning. Anybody gotten a warning before?
-
All right, I'm going to give you that's called mercy.
-
I'm going to give you a warning. You need to just slow down,
-
right? Because what they've done is
-
they've looked at your record and because your record's been
-
clean, you understand what I'm saying?
-
Because your record's been clean or there's something, there's
-
something they decided. Now, it's not like they don't
-
think this probably ain't the first time.
-
Maybe they log your mercy moments, You know, Now, I'm not
-
a police officer, but I kind of have that little idea myself
-
warning on this vehicle. And if that happens within a
-
month, then the next guy's like, you already had a warning, bro.
-
You're getting a ticket anyway. You received the warning.
-
You drive off, you're like, and what's usually the first words
-
out of your mouth. Thank you, Jesus, thank God I
-
didn't get a ticket, right? Amen.
-
In fact, let's even go one more you now let's don't do that one.
-
So anyway, you drive off and you know, mercy has happened.
-
And usually we take this thought that that's how God is, but
-
that's not how God is. Let me tell you why, because we
-
know that he just gave you mercy and that the penalty for your
-
wrongdoing is not paid. It's as it's treated as if it
-
didn't happen. However, that's not how your sin
-
is treated like it didn't happen.
-
So Jesus, if he was the police officer stopping you and says,
-
do you know that you were speeding?
-
Yes, Sir, I'm sorry. You repent and they take your
-
stuff. They run your thing, come back
-
and say I'm going to give you a warning because, you know, Jesus
-
gave warnings, go and send no more.
-
And so give a warning. But what you don't know is Jesus
-
then sits down in the car and writes out the ticket and the
-
penalty, and then goes back to the station and pulls out of his
-
own pocket the price of the ticket that's in your name and
-
pays it on your behalf. The reason he can extend mercy
-
is because he knows this isn't going unpaid.
-
I'll pay it, which gives me the ability to extend this mercy
-
because everything has to be paid.
-
And the reason you can receive mercy from Jesus is not because
-
you get away with it, it's because he'll pay it so you
-
don't have to. And that's called mercy.
-
So anytime mercy comes to us, know that Jesus took it himself.
-
But God being what? Rich in mercy?
-
Being rich in mercy, every time mercy came running to us, Jesus
-
said, I, I paid it, I paid it, I paid it, I paid it.
-
When you walked away free without that penalty, I paid it.
-
The debt was satisfied. But God being rich in mercy,
-
because of his great love, of which he loved us when we were
-
dead in our transgression, made us alive together with Christ,
-
verse 6, but raised us up with him, and seated, say seated, say
-
seated, seated with him. Where?
-
In heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
-
This word seated means to cause to sit together, to cause, to
-
sit together, to place together. So he has seated us, He's caused
-
us, He's placed us together with Him, He's placed us together
-
with him, He's placed us together with him.
-
You're not saved out of hell and they're not safe.
-
When you're safe from something, you're saved to something.
-
Most people know what they're safe from, but they don't know
-
what they're saved to. They don't know what they've
-
been delivered out of and what they've been delivered into.
-
You had a position change when Jesus became Lord of your life.
-
He repositioned you. He placed you in a different
-
seat. OK, I know we've taught along
-
these lines, but man, we need to be reminded.
-
Just like last week. I know we talk about faith, but
-
man, we need to be reminded because you understand, we are
-
living in a time frame of the world that the church has to
-
remind themselves what seat they're on, where they're
-
seated. I said where they're seated.
-
Because when you don't know where you're seated, or if you
-
don't stay in the seat, there can become problems.
-
But while you were yet a Sinner, Christ died for you.
-
Paid the price. He's very merciful, which means
-
He's talking to us all the while, encouraging us and
-
drawing on us to receive His forgiveness.
-
Receive the blood that paid full price for all of our wrongdoing.
-
Get us out of one position into another position, and get us
-
put. Place us on His seat.
-
He wants us to sit down together with Him.
-
Amen. The Murdoch translation says
-
this. But God, who was rich in his
-
mercies, because of his great love with which He loved us when
-
we were dead in our sins, quickened us with the Messiah,
-
and rescued us by his grace, and resuscitated us with him, and
-
seated us with him and in heaven in Jesus the Messiah.
-
Messiah is the Hebrew word which is the anointed one in his
-
anointing. Christ is the Greek word that is
-
the equivalent. Both of those are making
-
reference to Jesus the King. Say he's the King and he is
-
seated on a throne. Thrones are in kingdoms, not
-
religions. And aren't you glad that God has
-
given us his seat? Amen.
-
Now when I say given us His seat, that doesn't mean He stood
-
up and he said, take a seat. He is in the seat and we are in
-
him. Hallelujah, we are in the same
-
seat. He's in glory to God.
-
I said glory to God. The Amplified classic says it
-
this way. And He raised us up together
-
with Him, and made us sit down together, giving us here it is
-
joint seeding with Him in the heavenly sphere by the virtue of
-
our being in Christ Jesus the Messiah, the Anointed One.
-
Amen. I mean, that's you going to a
-
place, getting invited to a place that, you know, I don't
-
even deserve to show up based upon who I am, my nature.
-
But there's been an invitation. And when you came in, in
-
essence, when you got to the door, you were in filthy rags.
-
You're not dressed for the occasion and you you answer.
-
You rang the doorbell, you've been invited.
-
The king is called and they open the door.
-
And when the door is open, which is the cross of Jesus Christ,
-
the minute you hit the doorway, you don't know how it happens,
-
but they pull off your filthy rags and clothe you in royalty.
-
You get into the house in a whole different apparel.
-
You're in King's clothings now. You've been robed in right.
-
Come on, you've been robed in righteousness.
-
You've been in right standing with the governing Thor.
-
You have the robe of right. You have the helmet of the crown
-
on your head is a is a headdress of salvation.
-
You have a ring on your finger that shows the authority and it
-
has his name on it. You have the King's ring and
-
then he ushers you into the banquet hall.
-
You go past the the last row, though you would have been
-
satisfied just to be in the room.
-
He gets you past the middle way and he takes you all the way up
-
to the platform and sits you in the same seat that he's in.
-
He puts you in the banquet from the same vantage point that the
-
king sits in. That amazing.
-
Wow. The problem is, is that we've
-
been outside the building for so long we don't think we know how
-
to act on the seat. But training starts in the seat.
-
I said training starts from that position.
-
Psalms 2910 says if the Lord sat as king at the flood, yes, the
-
Lord sits as king. How long come on?
-
How long come on church, How long?
-
I mean, I can finish in 5 minutes if you like, if you just
-
participate with me, right? I mean, yes, the Lord what sits
-
as king, How long? Forever Psalms 47, Eight says
-
God reigns over the nations. God sits on his holy throne.
-
Glory to God, aren't you glad that our King sits on the
-
throne? He's never been dethroned.
-
He cannot be dethroned. It doesn't even matter about the
-
nations of the earth because our King reigns over all the
-
nations. When I visited Rodney Howard
-
Brown, I went to his church and, you know, spent a little time
-
with him. We were talking about the
-
election prior to November the 5th.
-
And he was, you know, obviously active in that sector of society
-
as well. And he was talking about, you
-
know, the things that were coming up and, you know, he was
-
concerned about our nation, concerned about his direction,
-
concerned about policies. And he said he was praying to
-
the Lord and I was talking to him.
-
And the Lord says, Son, do you think I care who's in the White
-
House? Now, that doesn't mean God
-
doesn't care. But what he was referencing is
-
that it doesn't matter who's in. I'm on the throne.
-
So he said, do you want to know if I care who gets elected?
-
I'm telling you right now, I don't care who it is because
-
Jesus is on the throne. And guess what?
-
If Jesus is on the throne, then guess who else is?
-
There? You are because you're seated in
-
that place, Amen. Now, that doesn't release us of
-
our responsibility of civic duty.
-
I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that when it's
-
all said and done, he reigns over the nation's.
-
One of those nations happened to be the United States of America.
-
He rules over it, Amen. And his throne, he sits on it.
-
So you need to understand his seat of authority is our seat of
-
authority. I said, his seat of authority is
-
our seat of authority. Praise the Lord, I said, praise
-
the Lord, glory to his name. Look what it says in Ephesians
-
chapter one. This is one what we call one of
-
Pauline Paul's prayers to the church starting in verse 17.
-
He says that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of
-
glory may give to you. That's us a spirit of wisdom and
-
revelation in the knowledge of him.
-
He said, I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so
-
that you may know what is the hope of his calling, What are
-
the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the Saints.
-
Do you know you have an inheritance and that you can
-
walk in that inheritance now because Jesus has died and risen
-
and he has given you an inheritance that you can have
-
now. Not what?
-
Not not to wait till you get to heaven.
-
You can walk in that inheritance now.
-
And what is the surpassing greatness?
-
Look at these words that are describing greatness and God in
-
these awesome things. I mean, we see riches, we see
-
surpassing, we're seeing wisdom, revelation, we, he wants us to
-
know these things, He said. What is the surpassing greatness
-
of his power toward us? Not against us, but toward, you
-
know, God's not against you. God's not against his own
-
people. He's made power available toward
-
us. We are not weak, beat down,
-
barely getting along, or, you know, holding on until we either
-
die or the trumpet blows and we're caught up together with
-
him. No, He's given us a surpassing
-
greatness of power towards those us who what belief now is
-
required in order to receive. He goes on to say these are in
-
accordance to the working of the strength of his might, which he
-
brought about in Christ. When say when?
-
When he raised him from the dead.
-
Has he been risen? Has has He risen from?
-
Has He risen from the dead? Has he been raised up when he
-
raised him from the dead, and seated him at his right hand in
-
heavenly places? Now what does that seat give
-
Jesus? Far above all rule, and
-
authority, and power and dominion, and every name that is
-
named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.
-
And He put all things, say all things in subjection under His
-
feet, and gave Him as head over all things to The Who are we,
-
Who are we, Who are we? We're the church, which is his
-
body, the fullness of Him who feels All in all.
-
His seat of authority is our seat of authority.
-
Hallelujah. When we stay in sin
-
consciousness, we never take our seat.
-
We never take our seat when we stay in sin consciousness, when
-
all we do is think about who we were before Christ and we live
-
the existence. This is this is who I was.
-
This is who I was. Oh man, I don't deserve this.
-
Who I was, this is who I was. And all the while the King's
-
like, take a seat. Come on, take your seat.
-
Because what you're in doesn't have to wait till you get to me.
-
You're no longer subject to the flesh anymore.
-
You're no longer subject to the devil anymore.
-
You understand? Let's talk about rulers.
-
Let's talk about authorities. Let's talk about powers.
-
Let's talk about dominions. He said that they are.
-
He is far above. Not just above, but what?
-
Far above? I mean, it's like it's not even
-
close. Not even close.
-
None of you would never want to if, if Jesus Christ, if Jesus
-
Christ was an athlete on a team, you would never want to go to
-
his games because they would only be blowouts.
-
They would only be blowouts because he's far above.
-
He's far above. It's not even close.
-
I said it's not even close. I saw this little parody where
-
this little kid came to his mom and was upset because they
-
played a Christian School and they said, you know, Jesus was
-
working for the team. Y'all see that little thing
-
isn't that funny? He's like, they got hurt and
-
Jesus healed them. You know, that was really good.
-
You can't win. I thought that was really funny,
-
but that's how it is. You know, you praying, if you're
-
playing against God, you can't win.
-
I said you can't win if you're playing against God.
-
You can't win because if God be for you, who can be against you?
-
Listen, you have to, you have to get this vantage point that now
-
that I'm in Christ, the things of this world are far below me.
-
Now when I make that statement, I'm not saying that in a pride
-
like yard beneath me. I'm saying that the issues that
-
cause death and destruction are far beneath you.
-
Far beneath you. If you get caught up in
-
something, it's not because it had the power to run you down.
-
You are letting it, you've heard it say before that you know,
-
some teams are so good that they they can't be beat.
-
They have to just lose the game. I mean, for Jesus to be
-
defeated, he would just have to not participate.
-
And so when things are happening in our lives, it's only because
-
we're not participating. Because when you participate
-
with Jesus, you are far above all, say all.
-
There's no principality or power, none that can overtake
-
you, none. So if you're in something today,
-
you need to say man no more. You need to see that which has
-
attacked you as weak and you have the ability to overcome it
-
with such a victory that you'll forget you even had the battle.
-
I said you'll forget you even had the battle.
-
Hallelujah. Look what it says in Psalms
Psalms 2 chapter mention
-
chapter 2 verses one through 4. It says, Why do the nation's
-
assemble with commotion, uproar with confusion of voices, right?
-
And why do people imagine, meditate upon devices and empty
-
scheme? The kings of the earth take
-
their places, the rulers take counsel together against the
-
Lord and his anointed. 1 The Messiah, the Christ.
-
They say, let us break their bands of restraint asunder, and
-
cast their cords of control from us.
-
He who sits in it, the heavens, what does he do?
-
Laughs. The Lord has them in derision
-
and in supreme content. He mocks them.
-
So you understand when the Lord is looking at what's going on in
-
the planet and the attacks that nations are doing against His
-
church, what is our Father doing?
-
What's he doing? What's he doing?
-
He's laughing, he's laughing, he laughs at it.
-
Ha ha ha ha. He, he, he, he, he, he, he.
-
He's a laugher, he's laughing. The only time you're going to
-
get God over into grieving is when you as a child are not
-
yielding to the overwhelming power he's already given you on
-
the seat. Because he's not grieving over
-
the nation's as far as that they're a legitimate threat.
-
They're not a legitimate threat. They're not because he laughs at
-
all their efforts. He's laughing at it because he
-
knows, man, my power is far above all this rule, all this
-
power, all this principality, all this power and dominion,
-
it's over it all. It's not even close.
-
And he's so merciful. I said he's so merciful because
-
when it's time to bring wrath to the ones who don't yield to his
-
mercy and receive him as their Lord, it's not a good day for
-
them. It's not a good day because God
-
has all power. I said he has all power.
-
Isn't that amazing? I said, isn't that amazing?
-
So he laughs. He goes on and says this, Now
-
listen in Psalms, he's communicating of something to
-
come because we're not talking about King David here.
-
We're not talking about King David when he makes this
-
statement in verse six. He says, yet the King of heaven,
-
he, he says, yet I have appointed, installed in place my
-
king, Say, my king firmly on my holy hill of Zion I will declare
-
the decree of the Lord. And he said to me, You are my
-
son. This day I declared, I have
-
begotten you. What happened on the day when
-
Jesus went down to the Jordan and John baptized him in the
-
river, and when he came up, the heavens opened up and the Holy
-
Spirit descended upon him? That's the anointing full
-
measure. The anointing without measure
-
came upon Jesus. Because that's what you do to
-
kings, You anoint them. And then the Father decreed,
-
This is my beloved Son, and whom I am well pleased.
-
For God so loved the world, the systems of the world, that he
-
gave his own only begotten Son. Who is this King of glory?
-
Come on, who is this King of glory?
-
He said, I've set him on the hill of Zion.
-
I've placed him back in the earth.
-
I have made him king of all the earth.
-
My Mama, I said my Mama, he's made a, he's made him king, and
-
he has established him as the head and not the tail.
-
He's above and not beneath. He's never been defeated.
-
He is placed on the seed of the power of the right hand of God.
-
For what does it say in Luke 2269?
-
But from now on, the Son of Man, one translation says the son of
-
Adam, the Son of man will be seated at the right hand of the
-
power of God. Man when he made this statement,
-
they went ballistic. Now this is at his trial his his
-
illegal trial that they had to be able to move him towards
-
crucifixion. All right.
-
And so he says the Son of man will be seated will be what?
-
Come on, say it will be what? Seated at the right hand of the
-
power of God? Well, if Jesus is seated there,
-
where are you seated? Where are you seated?
-
So how can you be inferior? Because again, he's already
-
raised you up. Before you even confess Christ,
-
His hope for you is that you would get to the place He sees
-
you. This is His desire for you, that
-
while you're yet a Sinner, He raised you up.
-
That means He gave opportunity for you to get to that seat.
-
All you have to do is call on the name of the Lord, and he'll
-
transfer you out of the domain of darkness, walk you straight
-
into the palace, take you straight to the throne of grace.
-
You can go straight to the Father in His name, and you can
-
go see Dad and sit at his right hand.
-
Oh my gosh, He makes you worthy. You worthy to come.
-
You're not walking into his throne room.
-
Beat down, unworthy. I don't deserve.
-
You're a child of the king. It is your seat.
-
It has your name on it. It's a sign.
-
Seating. It's a sign.
-
See, you want to go to the Father?
-
Come on, Brian, bring me that seat.
-
You want to come to the Father? You want to go to him.
-
You want to pray to your heavenly Father in the name of
-
Jesus when you begin to commune with him, the Father is sitting
-
on his throne in heaven. And the Bible tells us that we
-
can boldly come before the throne of grace.
-
So there's the seat of God right here.
-
And when you come in prayer, we're going to kind of
-
demonstrate you're like in essence, if you could see it in
-
the Spirit that when you begin to say, Father in the name of
-
Jesus, I come to you. If you could see, it's as if the
-
Father's saying you've come into his, Oh my goodness, you've come
-
into his course with Thanksgiving and pray.
-
You understand you've come into his course because courts are in
-
kingdoms, not religions. All right?
-
You've come into his courts and you come to make your petition
-
known. And when you walk into his
-
court, this is what Dad says. Dad says son or daughter.
-
Well, come on, get in your seat. Come talk to me.
-
You're not talking to him from hey, Dad, you're not opening the
-
door of the court and saying, Dad, are you there?
-
Right? Because when he hears your
-
voice, he says, we'll come on in.
-
I got a seat for you. Get in your seat, son.
-
So when I'm praying in Christ in the position, this is what it
-
looks like in heaven. Hey, dad, he's right here.
-
People like man, how close. I said I didn't feel like I'm
-
close to God. If you only knew.
-
When you begin to pray and go before the throne of grace in
-
God, it's like you're seated right beside him.
-
He's not hard to hear him because you're right by him.
-
You have his ear. Hey, Dad, I just need to talk to
-
you about a few things. Come on.
-
Are you hearing me? You're seated at his right hand,
-
I said. You're seated at his right hand,
-
man, You need to have a seat. You need to take your seat.
-
You need to rest in the seat he placed you.
-
I mean, yes, you didn't deserve it.
-
I get it. You didn't deserve it, I get it.
-
But God always destined it from the original creation of Adam
-
that we would have dominion and it would be our seat all the
-
while. And when Adam left the seat, he
-
abandoned the seat. The Lord says, I will send my
-
son so that man can have his seat again.
-
And those who call on the name of the Lord, it's not like,
-
well, you know, because again, what do we do when we try to, we
-
get really religious in our humility, right?
-
Really religious in our humility.
-
And I won't do this because I don't want to take the cameras
-
off, but we want to run to the back and sit there and act like
-
that's humility. But the God never saw you in the
-
back of the room. Even in your trespasses and sin,
-
He doesn't see you in the back of the room.
-
It was never where you were supposed to feel like you
-
deserve. He's telling you your worth.
-
I'm where I'm at today. Not because of me, not because
-
what I think, what I feel. I just want to be where he told
-
me. And he said, son, this is your
-
seat. Have a seat.
-
Have a seat, son. Well, Dad, that's right beside
-
you. Yeah, I know.
-
That's your chair, daughter. That's your chair.
-
That's your chair. This has been your chair before.
-
The foundations of the world. Oh my goodness, are you hearing
-
what I'm saying? If we go on to this same Psalm,
-
Psalms chapter 2, verses 10:50, it says therefore now, O kings,
Psalms 2 chapter mention
-
plural, well, who are these kings?
-
I said, who are these kings? He said, act wisely, be
-
instructed and warned. O you rulers of the of the what?
-
What are you supposed to be doing right now?
-
You're supposed to be ruling and reigning now.
-
You don't have to wait to get to heaven to rule and reign.
-
You're to rule and reign now. You're his kings in the earth.
-
You have access to his throne in heaven.
-
You are spiritually positioned and seated at the right hand of
-
the Father, at the right hand of power because that's the seed of
-
Christ and you are in Christ, which now enables you to be at a
-
function as a king of the earth. This is why he says act wisely,
-
have instruction. This is why the the Paul in the
-
Ephesians said that you would receive a spirit of wisdom and
-
revelation. Why?
-
Because kings must know what the Father is saying.
-
Because what He wants done in His rulership in heaven, He
-
wants it to manifest on the earth through His children,
-
which are His kings. And if you want His will to be
-
done in the earth as it is in heaven, then you need to take a
-
seat. He says serve the Lord with
-
reverent awe and Worshipful fear, rejoice and be in high
-
spheres with trembling, lest you displease Him.
-
And the only way you're at you displease the Lord is if you're
-
not in faith. Without faith, it's impossible
-
to please him. And faith comes by hearing and
-
hearing from the word of God. And that faith is being a doer
-
of what you heard. And when you do what he says,
-
he's not displeased because he's like, you're the kings of the
-
earth. I'm the king in heaven.
-
And I've authorized you in the name of Jesus.
-
The seat that you're seated on, the seat that's at the right
-
hand of my power, I've authorized you to perform, to
-
do, and to expand my Kingdom. You are the light of the world,
-
so we have to now set our minds to the one who sits on the
-
throne because our seat is not here, our seats up in heaven.
-
Our authority is from there, but it extends into here.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? Look what it says in Colossians
Colossians 3 chapter mention
-
chapter 3 verses one through 3. It says this.
-
Therefore, if you have been raised up with Christ, keep
-
seeking the things above where Christ is, and where is Christ
-
seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above,
-
not on the things that are on the earth, for you have died and
-
your life is hidden with Christ in God.
-
The Rick Renner or which is the Renner interpretive version, It
-
says this. Since then you are raised
-
together with Christ, earnestly and intensely seek the things
-
that are above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
-
Focus your mind on the many things that are above and don't
-
get stuck in low level thinking about temporary things here on
-
the earth. Can I get an Amen?
-
Don't get stuck in low level things.
-
Are you hearing me? So what does this tell me?
-
It gave me this, this illustration in my mind.
-
I am seated at the right hand of the Father in heavenly places.
-
I have access, not just I mean, I have access to sit by, not
-
just to show up in a small corner, not to be on the fringe.
-
I'm talking right next to him. And man, when you're here,
-
unless you're just deaf and cannot hear at all, you are.
-
How will you miss what he's saying?
-
He's right here. And I don't mean that in a
-
derogatory manner. I'm just saying he's right here.
-
I mean, we're this close. OK, Wait till we get to the next
-
verse. But we got to keep our minds set
-
on things above, because we're the kings of the earth.
-
We are to draw our wisdom from above.
-
And this is what I see believers do.
-
Because remember, what's about our King, who's seated on his
-
throne? He looks at the nations and they
-
devise all kinds of plans against him, against his nation,
-
against his son and against his church.
-
And all the while he's watching it, it doesn't escape his
-
notice. He doesn't say, oh, I didn't
-
realize they were going to do that.
-
Wow. Didn't realize that plan was
-
going to take place. Didn't realize they were going
-
to come in and try to take them out that way.
-
Right. He knows.
-
He's aware of everything. And while he's seeing it, what's
-
he doing? Come on, what's he doing?
-
He's laughing. I said he's laughing.
-
But what we do, if we quit looking and setting our mind as
-
the encouraging words this this morning in worship, if we start
-
to look in the world and set our minds on what's going on here,
-
then this is typically what we look like.
-
Oh, I just can't. Have you ever seen somebody get
-
upset and then all of a sudden they just they get up, They get
-
up by that seat. You know what's going on?
-
Oh, and you jump up like, I'm going to do something.
-
Well, you need to have a seat. The Lord's like, come on, just
-
have a seat. Don't let that bother you.
-
You just need to have a seat, right?
-
Just look at you and say, you need to have a seat, man.
-
You need to rest. Because we get in a situation
-
where we jump up, we get a report, we have cancer.
-
We jump up. You know, something's going on
-
with our kids, We jump up. Something's going on in the
-
world, we jump up. Something happens with our
-
money, we jump up. We get all fretful and fearful
-
and anxious. We jump up out of that seat and
-
we're like, oh, what are we going to do?
-
What are we going? The Lord's like, son, just have
-
a seat. Have a seat, son.
-
Come on, let me get you and get you laughing about this deal.
-
Amen. Because the place to sit the
-
most is when you're having personal attacks because this
-
Psalms references, they are railing against him personally
-
and he's just laughing. He laughs at it because he knows
-
it's not going to come to naughty.
-
It's not going to come to pass because you know why He has the
-
final say on the matter. And so you need to stay in your
-
seat. Why?
-
Because he's going to want to talk to you.
-
He's going to want to tell you as the king what to say.
-
Look at this in Hebrews chapter 10, starting in verse 12, we'll
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
read out the amplified. It says this whereas this one
-
Christ after he had offered a single sacrifice for our sins
-
that shall avail at all time sat down at the right hand of the of
-
God. Jesus is not jumping around now
-
we have 1 recorded instance of him standing up and that is that
-
Stevens being martyred because as Steven stayed in his seat of
-
authority God Jesus stood up and applauded him.
-
Are you hearing me? OK but he sits at the right hand
-
of God. Then verse 13, to wait until His
-
enemies should be put made a footstool under his feet, for by
-
a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and
-
perfected those who are consecrated and made holy.
-
And also the Holy Spirit adds His testimony to us in
-
confirmation of this. For having said this is the
-
agreement, the testament, the covenant that I will set up and
-
conclude with them after those days, says the Lord, meaning the
-
Spirit is put inside us to bear witness with our spirit.
-
We are children of God. But not just that.
-
Look what it does. I will imprint my laws upon
-
their hearts and I will inscribe them on their minds, on their
-
innermost thoughts and understanding.
-
He's saying, listen, stay in the seat, think like a king.
-
Stay in the seat, think like a king.
-
When things are coming, stay in the seat think like a king time
-
I going to respond thing like a king.
-
What's going Let me think I, I keep my mind focused on things
-
above any circumstance that comes on into our life for like
-
how do you want to handle this? How do you want me to respond?
-
What do you want me to do? And what's so awesome He has
-
left me a documentation called the Holy Bible that allows me to
-
see his character, his way of doing things.
-
Do you understand that? Because I am always going to
-
respond biblically. The greatest 3 words you can say
-
in any issue that you face is it is written.
-
Because if you'll go to it is written, it won't be.
-
This is how you made me feel, this is how I feel.
-
This is what you did. I can't forgive you.
-
You can't even go those places. It is written.
-
It is written because that's the voice of the King, because he is
-
the word of God and he's written this in our hearts and on our
-
minds. Why?
-
Because he says, listen, your born again experience was not
-
about going to heaven. It was about becoming a child of
-
God and reigning as a king. Now, because we are been given
-
this rulership far above all, not only in this age but also in
-
the one to come, there's two more ages still to come.
-
Two more, the millennial reign and then the eternal reign, and
-
this transitions into both ages. Hallelujah.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? So I close with this verse.
-
Revelations 21. Five.
-
Just tell your neighbor, have a seat.
-
And he who sits on the throne, behold, I'm making all things
-
new. And he said right.
-
For these words are faithful and true.
-
I'm so glad that Jesus came so that I could be placed back in
-
the original seat that was destined for man or for
-
humanity, and that is the seat to reign with God, to reign with
-
him. And so I just rest in his seat.
-
You understand, when you are seated in that kind of power,
-
what can man do to you? You just, Hey dad, I need to
-
talk. I got some stuff happening and
-
he says, son, what's going on? Because I can guarantee you
-
there's nothing you're going through that we have not already
-
conquered. Without a doubt, we got this
-
thing whipped. We just sit down and say, dad,
-
what are you saying about this? He's going to say, son, this is
-
what you do. And then from this seat, if you
-
say what Dad said, and if you say anything the dad says, then
-
dad performs his own word. I said he performs his own word.
-
And he always delivers the righteous out of all their
-
trouble, out of all their trouble.
-
Hallelujah. Please let us renew our minds to
-
who we are in Christ. I didn't say this.
-
The Bible said this, that you are such a superior being in
-
Christ that you are far above these things.
-
He placed you there. He doesn't even want if you'll
-
get. It's not even a fight in compare
-
when you recognize the position you're in, then it's easy for
-
you to endure and persevere to your flesh, it's a struggle to
-
your mind and emotions it can struggle.
-
But if you'll stay in the word and the Spirit, it all begins to
-
just fade. And ma'am, when I do that, the
-
problems just keep getting lower and lower and lower and lower
-
and lower. And you just have this
-
confidence. Like, watch out now, Daddy's
-
here, Daddy's with me. Daddy's with me because Daddy's
-
for me. He cares for me.
-
He placed me here. I have a right to win.
-
I'm going to say that again. You and I have a right to win.
-
You have a right because Dad said you're in his seat.
-
And I've never seen Jesus defeated.
-
Never. He's never lost.
-
But you can't.
