Turn over to Psalms 119 verse 89.
-
Psalms 118, verse 89. I'm going to run through a few
-
scriptures to get us into some participation mode.
-
OK. And it says this forever, O
-
Lord, your word is settled in heaven forever.
-
O Lord, come on forever, O Lord, your Word is what?
-
What is it? Where it's settled, Where in
-
heaven? Glory to God, it is forever
-
settled in heaven. Psalms 100 and eight 119 verse
-
89 right. Let me look at this real quick
-
because you know, I just again just wanting to move in and
-
whatever the Lord is doing this word settled means the firm
-
standing or a pillar. Are you hearing what I'm saying?
-
It means to stand to take one stand, stand upright be set over
-
established. Now notice in this forever how
-
long? How long again forever Oh Lord,
-
your word is what established stands where in heaven.
-
So if all of us were to leave our bodies right now and we
-
would be called up to the 3rd heaven, we would be in heaven
-
where God lives, where Jesus Christ is seated at His right
-
hand. If we walked into the throne
-
room and we would hear Him declare things in the heaven
-
realm, this is what we would only experience.
-
That word coming to pass period, exclamation point, even that
-
word is forever settled in in heaven.
-
At no time is there a time in eternity or in the scope of
-
forever, that that word has not come to pass in heaven.
-
In heaven. And when 1 anointed cherub
-
deceives some others by about 1/3 of the angelic host to make
-
a run on the throne in heaven, they could not defeat the Word,
-
for the Word is forever settled in heaven, and they could not
-
come against the Word and be victorious.
-
The Word always wins. It wins and it has won.
-
Are you hearing me? Which means in that realm That's
-
at a moment. And we want to know how quick it
-
was. Jesus said I saw Satan fall like
-
man. Lightning's quick.
-
I mean, it's fast. I mean, it's like a blink of an
-
eye, which is, you know, not a full blink, but 1/2 of, I mean,
-
it's like so quick. And that's how quick that
-
rebellion went. Because his word is forever
-
settled in heaven. Now the question is, is how do
-
we establish a forever word here in the earth?
-
Amen, 'cause in his realm we know it is.
-
This is why Jesus said, Now when you pray, pray this way, our
-
Father who art heaven hallowed be your name, your Kingdom, your
-
will be on as it is, and how's his will done in heaven?
-
Always it stands, it's established, it is never
-
defeated in that amazing, it never fails, and it's forever
-
settled. Psalms 138 verse 2 says this.
-
I will bow down towards your holy temple and give thanks to
-
your name for your loving kindness and your truth.
-
For you have magnified your word according to all your names.
-
Another translation says this. I have magnified your name even
-
above all your names, meaning that the names of God are not
-
higher than His Word. In essence, what the Lord
-
desires for all creation to know is that His Word is infallible,
-
it is irreplaceable, it cannot be conquered, it is just, it is
-
righteous, it is love, It will come to pass, it will surely
-
come to pass. Hallelujah, man, what assurance
-
to the believer, to a child of God, that God's word is settled,
-
established and it is magnified. What it means is, is God, his
-
character, is based upon him doing exactly what he says.
-
He can never be caught as a liar.
-
Never. He always does what he says he
-
will never for all eternity, eternity past eternity's future,
-
he will never be caught. A liar can't do it because he
-
has magnified his name, His word even above his name, meaning
-
that he will do even though, OK, thank you Lord, the Lord just
-
told me this. He said this.
-
He said, remember how I've said in my word for my name's sake,
-
right? For my name's sake.
-
There were things that he did or he was in mercy functioning said
-
for, for my name's sake, meaning I have to do my word.
-
My word is above my name, and not just because of my name and
-
my namesake, but because of my name.
-
My name is being attacked. My name is being made as mud.
-
People are talking about saying I'm not doing, you understand,
-
Gideon himself said some things to God that was not truth when
-
he was down in the wine press trying to separate the wheat
-
from the chaff. And the Angel came in and said,
-
you're a mighty man of valor. The Lord has dunk, you know,
-
wants to talk to you about delivering the people.
-
And he's like, where is God? I mean, if he's God and he was
-
for us, then how come all this stuff's happening to us now?
-
Do you understand? Did God do that to them?
-
But he's acting like God has let the nation down.
-
But why has the nation been under attack?
-
Why has the nation been subject to servitude?
-
Is because the nation was in rebellion to the things God said
-
in his word. If you can specifically find it
-
in Deuteronomy 28 during that particular time period, he said
-
if you will obey my words and my commands, all these things are
-
going to happen. You'll be the head, not the
-
tail. You'll be above and not beneath.
-
You'll be blessed coming in and blessed going out right?
-
He all these blessings are going to overtake you.
-
Your enemy will come before you one way and flee before you what
-
seven ways? However, He says if you do not
-
obey my word, then guess what's going to happen?
-
These things are going to manifest.
-
And again, because for His name's sake, He wants to keep
-
His nation established, but He has to still magnify His word
-
even above that. And mercy may push back judgment
-
so that it's not manifesting on specific generations.
-
But if rebellion as we saw in the Old Covenant occurred, then
-
there comes a day when the Lord said at this point, because my
-
word is even above my name, although the nation's going to
-
be taken over and others may blasphemy me.
-
But yet he was part of the process which really he said,
-
listen, if I if, if, if you get destroyed, the nations are going
-
to know that I came against you because of your disobedience.
-
Are you hearing me? So God's word is extremely
-
valuable to Him. It is the most valuable thing to
-
Him, His word. I said His word, and He
-
magnifies it even above His name.
-
Isaiah 5511 says it this way. So will my word, which goes
-
forth from my mouth. It will.
-
It will what, not return to me empty, without accomplishing
-
what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for
-
which I sent it. So if that word comes back to
-
Him as He requires it to come back, which is coming back in
-
faith, when a believer speaks the word in faith and it re
-
enters the ear of the Father, then he is obligated to fulfill
-
that word. Hallelujah.
-
I said he is obligated to feel that word.
-
And here's the thing, he's only feeling the word he sent, which
-
means he said something, you heard it, and then you repeated
-
what he said. Then he hears what he let
-
released coming from your mouth, and then he performs it.
-
Glory to God. I said glory to God.
-
Now that is a principle laid out within the Kingdom.
-
That's how the Kingdom operates. We know in Ecclesiastes 84 says
-
where the word of the king is, there's power and there is power
-
with our King who is in heaven. Hallelujah.
-
And you understand he loves to perform his word.
-
Oh man, he loves to which we've saw this scripture a couple of
-
Sundays ago, if you'll remember in Psalms 33 nine.
-
What did it say? For He spoke and it was He
-
commanded, and it stood fast. Aren't you glad that when the
-
Lord speaks, it comes to pass? Now, if you've experienced life
-
where you've heard something about God, or maybe you even
-
heard something from God, but yet you're not experiencing what
-
you've heard about God or or potentially what you've heard
-
directly from God. It's not God's Word that's
-
failing. There is something on our end
-
that is required, that is required in order for that Word
-
to come to pass. Are you hearing me?
-
It's a thing called faith, and faith is a firm persuasion.
-
But I'm going to explain a little bit more here.
-
Now let's look at this in John chapter 12.
John 12 chapter mention
-
John chapter 12 is at a context of Jesus.
John 12 chapter mention
-
Now Jesus Christ is the Word in the flesh.
-
The Word became flesh. I said the Word became flesh,
-
and we call him Jesus. Amen.
-
He was prophesied that He would come because of the fall of man
-
and because man fell, the Word had to come so that he could
-
redeem man, so that man could be put back in his original
-
position of dominion. According to Genesis 126, Jesus
-
did not come to the earth so that we would be in awe of God.
-
Jesus came into the earth as a man anointed of the Spirit, not
-
to show us what he can do, but to show us what we can do when
-
we listen to the Spirit of God that we are anointed of and
-
begin to speak like Jesus spoke. Amen.
-
So again, this is not about of seeing what Jesus and being in
-
awe of what Jesus does because he's Jesus now.
-
It's pretty amazing, yes. However, Jesus is trying to
-
convey to us this is how your Father in heaven originally
-
desired you to function and operate before sin ever enter
-
the world. And this is another step,
-
another phase of demonstrating His desire for humanity to be
-
able to function that ultimately in the new heaven and new earth.
-
After those that disobeyed or cast into the lake of fire,
-
which is a second death and rebelled and do not want
-
anything to do with God, then those that have followed him and
-
serve Him and love him because He first loved us, then we will
-
be with Him forever solely in the original position that God
-
placed us in. In Genesis chapter one verse 26,
-
Jesus said this. In John 12, we're going to start
-
in verse 8, excuse me, John 8. Let's look at John eight first.
-
John 8 verse 28 says this. So Jesus said when you lift up
-
the Son of Man, notice He called himself the Son of man.
-
He was the Son of God, don't get me wrong, but He's also the Son
-
of man. He emptied himself of His glory
-
and He became like a man anointed of the Holy Ghost and
-
functioning fully as a man anointed by the Spirit following
-
the voice of the Spirit in the earth.
-
So Jesus when he says when you lift up the Son of man, then you
-
will know that I am he and I do what nothing on my own
-
initiative, but I I what speak these things as the Father
-
taught me. So the things Jesus is saying is
-
a direct result of what he is hearing.
-
What he is saying is a direct result of what he is hearing.
-
Which means the Son of Man feels like you do.
-
We have a High Priest that cannot sympathize with our
-
weaknesses, meaning being subject to or being under the
-
influence of feelings and emotions that are in the earth
-
and all of the things that attack us to try to cause us to
-
side with things contrary to God's Word, to stay in in
-
essence rebellion to to not do His word, but to act on how we
-
feel about it. And so Jesus himself being
-
attacked because he was tempted on all accounts like we were,
-
yet did not sin. And though he had a lot of
-
pressure put on him, he, he kept his mind in control by the
-
Spirit to only respond in the situations to how he heard.
-
So what he is saying is in direct contact to what he is
-
hearing. He is not addressing anything
-
any other way and I'm telling you this is the highest way of
-
living and and it is it is effort.
-
If it was easy we would all be here.
-
But in order to get there, you have got to deny your flesh and
-
you have to deny your feelings in situations that occur in your
-
life. Jesus is the master at this and
-
he we can do what he did. All right, let's look at this
-
other verse in John chapter 12, verse 49 and 50, Jesus says this
-
again and we use these scriptures.
-
Why? Because we let everything
-
confirmed by two or three witnesses.
-
So the Father has already established a verses.
-
We've already communicated that his word is settled and he's
-
going to do that period. He's going to do that.
-
Jesus says I'm doing what I hear because Dad's word is settled
-
for I do not speak on my own initiative.
-
Now let me make a little quick disclaimer before I finish
-
reading that. If Jesus, who is the one we are
-
to follow, did not take up the right to say what he wanted to
-
say, then why do we continue to hold on to this idea that we
-
should be able to say what we want to say?
-
Now in the United States, this is a learned behavior because we
-
say this is what freedom is. Freedom is you can say what you
-
want to say. It's a free country.
-
Well, in the realm of the natural, yes, you can.
-
I get that. And I understand that.
-
Especially for those that are not even born of God.
-
Well, all you can do is say what you think.
-
And the Bible says there's a way that seems right to a man.
-
But in the end lies death, right?
-
So again, and even God because your free will will let you
-
think and say whatever you want to say because he doesn't
-
control your life. However, life is in his word.
-
That's why Peter says, where am I going to go?
-
You have words of you have words of life, right?
-
So again, we kind of have this in our own natural culture, this
-
desire to just say what we want to say and don't deny me that,
-
right? Well, God doesn't deny you that.
-
However, he is instructing us. You might want to say what I'm
-
saying because what I say stands forever.
-
And I'm fully aware of what's going on in your situation and
-
what you want to say to that person and how you think that
-
will make you feel after you do that.
-
But if you say what I say, it brings the greatest remedy that
-
mean they'll they'll receive it. But it is how I need you to
-
respond, because my response is the only thing that offers life.
-
So Jesus said I do not speak on my own initiative, but the
-
Father himself who sent me has given me a command as to what to
-
say and what to speak. I know that his commandment is
-
eternal man. If we know that, then why are we
-
not like hungry to devour the word, to know the words of life
-
that are contained within Scripture and to have it written
-
on our hearts and in our minds and get our mind renewed to it
-
to where we're like, OK, God, this just happened.
-
What do I say that That's like our first response.
-
We need to become first word responders, right?
-
First word responders? Because if we don't watch out,
-
it's easy for us to respond again.
-
There were many parents. First response was to attack the
-
authority at the game. Why is this?
-
Because man in the flesh will always attack authority.
-
Adam attacked God when God came down after he ate the fruit.
-
You said how do you attack God? He said it's the woman you gave
-
me, it's the woman you gave me. It's your fault.
-
But the law was like it's not good for man to be alone.
-
So now you're telling me it's a lie and the the mandate of being
-
fruitful and multiply you were going to do all by yourself.
-
I didn't make you asexual. No, I brought you a help meet
-
Hallelujah. And I'm not wrong in this.
-
Oh, but Adam wanted to tell God he was wrong.
-
Well, that's that woman you gave me.
-
And he was like, I'll come back to you.
-
I'm coming back to you. So again Jesus says, listen, I'm
-
only saying what He told me to say.
-
You know, his commands are eternal life.
-
Therefore the things I speak, I speak.
-
How? Put that verse back up, verse
-
50. He said, I know that His
-
commandment is eternal life. Therefore the things I speak, I
-
speak. How speak, how does he speak?
-
What's those two words? Say those words again.
-
Say those words again. Say those words again.
-
Say those words again. The Father has told me and man,
-
you know when I read that, guess what?
-
Who it reminded me of something that I have experienced in a
-
just as saying, say just as, all right, we're going to come back
-
to it. Let me give you 2 more verses
-
before we get to it. In John chapter 12, just so you
John 12 chapter mention
-
know that this is applicable in the Godhead, the Godhead or what
-
we call the Triune of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy
-
Spirit, OK? The Father is the ultimate
-
authority. What he says forever settled.
-
Jesus is eternally submitted to the Father.
-
Jesus has never wanted to take power.
-
He's never wanted to be the first seat, although he's got
-
to. Never does he want to take the
-
Father's position. He has totally submitted to the
-
Father in eternity, are in heaven's realm, and in the
-
earth. Amen.
-
The Holy Spirit is not trying to be though, even though He is the
-
power, He's the power. I mean, when the Father says in
-
the book of beginnings Genesis 1, then God said that's the
-
Father. Then God said which saying is
-
the word, so that's Jesus. Then God said let there be in
-
the Holy Ghost made it materialize.
-
I mean, the Holy Spirit's like, I'm doing all the work down
-
here. I'm the one who actually create,
-
calls the stars to happen once you said it.
-
I'm the ones who actually made all the planets once you said
-
it, I mean he, but it's not a power play.
-
I said there's no power. They're always in agreement.
-
I said they're always in agreement 'cause they're one,
-
they're unified. Amen.
-
So in Luke or John chapter 12 verse 46 or 26, it says, but the
-
Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name.
-
So who's sending the Holy Spirit?
-
Not Jesus, although Jesus announced him.
-
Because here's the thing, the Father's doing all the sending
-
in the 1st place. Jesus did not come because he
-
wanted to come for us. Jesus came because he was sent
-
by the Father. Now that doesn't mean Jesus
-
doesn't want to come for you. It just the original thought
-
didn't come with him, it comes with the Father.
-
So when man fell in Genesis 3, Jesus didn't say, let me go now
-
Jesus did not have a debate with a father and say man, so you
-
we're going to have to flood the earth now and we're only keeping
-
no and his family. Why didn't you send me already?
-
Then do this, no 'cause I only do what he says and He knows
-
when, 'cause He's already said I'm coming.
-
He said I'm coming through a woman, through a virgin.
-
Could it came through the 1st girl born Kemper virgin, the
-
seed could have come, but the Lord didn't do it.
-
He said in the fullness of time there was a time that God had
-
prepared and it was a perfect time.
-
It was an exact time. It was not a wrong time.
-
It was the perfect time, the will of God, time that Jesus
-
came into the planet. Hallelujah.
-
But the Father also, after Jesus finishes his work, completes it.
-
There's another coming. I said there's another one.
-
And they call him the Helper. He calls him the Spirit of
-
truth, it says. But the Helper or the Holy
-
Spirit, whom the Father will send to my name, He will teach
-
you all things. And I like this.
-
Bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
-
So the Holy Spirit is reminding you what the Word says.
-
The Holy Spirit is to remind you of what the Word says.
-
Because again, the Word is only saying what the Father says.
-
Amen. So we see in John chapter 16
-
verse 13, it says, But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He
-
will guide you into all truth. And He will not speak on His own
-
initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak and He will
-
disclose to you what is to come. Notice this pattern that
-
whatever the Father is saying, both the Son and the Holy Spirit
-
are hearing and then saying. So what do you think that means
-
for us as children of God? We should be hearing what the
-
Spirit is saying. Who is listening to the Father?
-
And we should only be saying that.
-
And this is the probably the single greatest challenge that
-
all believers on the planet have, and that is to govern or
-
regulate your mouth so that it only flows with what the Spirit
-
is saying. Hallelujah.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? Now, what I'm not saying is that
-
it you are he's only talk. How can I say this?
-
Obviously I'm not saying that you can't go to Ted and say Ted,
-
you have a great haircut and say, well, Lord, can I tell him
-
he has a great haircut. You understand what I'm saying,
-
but there are things in the earth that we need to
-
specifically be hearing from the Father by the Spirit of God and
-
those are the things we want to make sure that we are doing.
-
So again, verse 50 of John chapter 12 said Jesus said,
John 12 chapter mention
-
therefore the things I speak, I speak just as say just as say
-
just as say just as. So Jesus and the Holy Spirit are
-
in cadence with the Father. Therefore their words were
-
declaring his will on earth as it is in heaven.
-
Now when I was in the army, we did cadence.
-
How many of you were in the military stand to your feet
-
because veteran's day was on Monday.
-
We obviously recognize you last week, but thanks to all our
-
veterans here. Amen.
-
Stay standing for me. Stay standing because I'm going
-
to need you here in a minute, right?
-
We're going to start with you. All right.
-
Now of all that are standing, how many of you remember doing
-
cadence? All right, OK.
-
Now, cadence is something that we do in the military for very
-
specific reasons, OK? And I'm going to give you the
-
purpose of of cadence again. Y'all stood at attention for a
-
long time, longer than what I'm going to do.
-
So you're going to be all right. OK.
-
Now, some of you saying I'm a lot older now, Pastor Earl.
-
Yeah, but you're able, because you had mental resolve to be
-
able to stand at attention for quite some time in formation.
-
And again, I'm not going to keep you that long, but I do need to
-
say a few things and need you to help me.
-
The purpose of cadence, OK, Number one, it maintains unity.
-
Cadence maintains unity #2 it maintains mental focus.
-
And for any of those who were in basic training at Fort Jackson,
-
SC, you know the hill and you know that hill that they take
-
you at basic training up that hill and they get you into what
-
they say. Double time, double time March.
-
And next thing. Now we got the run cadence
-
kicking and now we're going up the hill.
-
And you understand, we don't like running, but they are
-
conditioning us. And so when they begin to see
-
that the troops need their next one, it provides morale.
-
It builds morale, so they'll start singing a song because
-
when you sing the song, you begin to get the mental clarity
-
so that you're not thinking about the pain in your body and
-
you're just going the next step. The next step because there's a
-
mission to accomplish. There's somewhere we got to be
-
Hallelujah. I said Hallelujah.
-
So with that being said, the cadence will also cause you to
-
maintain pace because not everybody is feeling the same
-
yet. It'll give you a pace setter and
-
it can get you so those that are a little weaker can come up.
-
Those that are a little stronger is helping to pull and next
-
thing you know will finally continue to progress together.
-
Because it doesn't do any good if one goes out by themselves
-
and the other one gets because there's a a motto within all
-
military branches. Leave no one behind.
-
All right. And in the church, it should be
-
even more so. It maintains unity, it maintains
-
mental focus, it maintains pace, it boosts morale #5 it builds
-
camaraderie and teamwork. It's what a cadence does, all
-
right. And this last one, which is
-
super awesome because the first cadence happened in the
-
Revolutionary War, was the very first cadence given was in the
-
Revolutionary War. And it was designed to to reload
-
the muskets because during the Revolutionary War, they would
-
get on both sides, line up. And so the cadence would cause
-
them to do a reload so that they all would all do at the same
-
time. They would stand in order to all
-
fire at the same time. So in essence, cadence
-
synchronizes the deployment of weapons of warfare and could it
-
be the church tends to suffer the schemes of the devil is
-
because we're not staying in cadence on how to synchronize
-
the deployment of our weapons of warfare because if we're not
-
saying the same thing. Are you hearing me now?
-
For all those who standing up, we're going to give an example
-
today and I'm in the Army. So for the Navy, Marines, Coast
-
Guard and Air Force, I don't have any of your cadences.
-
You are an inferior branch anyway.
-
I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
-
We're all on the same team. But that's why that military
-
they, I don't even don't even mention the US Space Force.
-
Is anybody in the Space Force here?
-
Are you in the Space Force? No, you're just in the Air
-
Force. OK.
-
All right. Just checking.
-
I've not literally met a Space Force person yet, but I want to
-
one day because it is now a branch.
-
Amen. I think we're supposed to greet
-
them like this or something. No, I'm kidding.
-
I don't know. I don't know.
-
Is that how they salute? I don't know.
-
I haven't. I don't know.
-
Right. Hallelujah.
-
Because you understand those that are in military, We are, we
-
are veterans first. At the end of the day, we are on
-
the same team for the same country.
-
And in our homeland, we may banter about who's better,
-
better, but when it comes to war, we are synchronizing in
-
cadence. Are you hearing me?
-
We are synchronizing in cadence. There's a particular cadence
-
that I remember Young put it up on the screen so you guys can do
-
this one and again I'm doing with the Army.
-
All right now y'all know how this goes.
-
We say the first line and then you're going to be in cadence
-
with it. OK, so let's give it a a
-
demonstration to our congregation.
-
Now, you better act like you're back in basic so you understand
-
the volume we're talking about here, all right?
-
Because don't make me put you on the front lean and rest position
-
in front of everybody today, all right?
-
Because you can't smoke a rock. All right?
-
Ready. They say that in the Army, the
-
coffee's mighty fine. They say that in the Army it
-
looks like muddy water and tastes like turpentine.
-
It looks like muddy water. Oh Lord, I want to go, but they
-
won't let me go. Hey.
-
Oh, y'all like that? They say that in the army the
-
chow is mighty fine. A chicken jumped off the table
-
and started marking time. Oh Lord, I want to go, but they
-
won't let me go. Hey now I'm going to.
-
Tell you right now, there's nothing like a platoon going
-
across the base in Unity. Now notice these men that are
-
talking right now, they cannot sing the majority of them, they
-
cannot carry a tune. But do you notice how we sound
-
together? Now if we could do this in
-
praise, cause praise is really a cadence time in ServiceNow.
-
Would you like to participate in the next line?
-
Come on, stand up church, get it Attention, please.
-
Now you heard the veterans. Let's see how the body of Christ
-
can do you ready. They say that in the army the
-
biscuits are mighty fine. One world off the table and
-
killed a friend of. Mine.
-
Oh Lord, I want to go. But then it won't let me go.
-
Hey, man. We sounding good.
-
Y'all want to do another one? We did.
-
I got another one ready. All right.
-
All you got to do is echo what I say how I say it.
-
I'm a steamroller baby and I'm rolling down the line.
-
So you better get out of my way. Before I roll all over you and
-
we'll do the church version, I made a church version.
-
I'm a steamroller Satan. I speak His word, not mine, so
-
you better get out of my way before I roll all over you,
-
before I stomp all over you. Oh, come on.
-
I got anybody in VPK here? Anybody got any VPK kids in
-
here? VPK kids?
-
You got a VPK child in here? OK, I'm talking my in here, OK,
-
because I don't want to ruin their little No, don't go get
-
them. We want them to stay innocent.
-
Young, be seated. Thank you.
-
Isn't that fun? That's what we are to do with
-
our about voice. We are to do cadence to the
-
Lord's word. And it is a praise to him.
-
All right, It's a praise to him. So there was another cadence.
-
I'll close with this one and I won't make you sing it, but it's
-
called the yellow bird, all right.
-
And so when I my kids growing up, I would do the yellow bird
-
with them. All right.
-
And I'm going to give you the Army version first, all right,
-
This is the Army version. All right.
-
You can you can say it back with me if you like to.
-
A yellow bird with a yellow bill was sitting on my window seal.
-
I coached him in with a piece of bread and then I've smashed his
-
little head. Now we're in the Army people,
-
and they're trying to condition us to go to war and defeat an
-
enemy. So you got to kind of.
-
So Brianna does this in our VPK preschool, but there's a
-
preschool version. So parents, do not be shocked
-
when you start hearing your child come home, say a yellow
-
bird, and you start passing out. OK, so Brianna's version is a
-
yellow bird. Now, the last statement is
-
usually not echoed because everyone already knows it.
-
So we just say it together, you know?
-
And then I smash his little head, right?
-
OK, so that's how that goes. There's not an echo, but I'm
-
going to do the last one because I want you to hear it.
-
I don't want to give it away before it starts, so I'll just
-
say it by myself, OK? All right.
-
A yellow bird with a yellow bill was sitting on my window seal.
-
I coached him in with a piece of red, and then I pet his little
-
head. Right.
-
Am I right in that suite? And all the VP cares are so
-
sweet. Then when they enlist in the
-
army one day they'll be like, my VPK teacher was a liar.
-
She was a liar. Oh my God, they killed the
-
birds. They killed the birds.
-
Remember that Brianna when it's all said and done?
-
Remember that John chapter 14, John chapter 14 verses 10 to 14,
John 14 chapter mention John 14:10–14
-
Jesus says do do you not believe that I am in the Father and the
-
Father is in me? The words that I say to you, I
-
do not speak on my own initiative, but the Father
-
abiding in me does his works believe me that I am in the
-
Father and the Father is in me. Otherwise believe because of the
-
works themselves and again the works are direct result of Jesus
-
saying what he is hearing. He goes on then and says truly,
-
truly. I say to you say, say to me.
-
I say to you, he who believes in me.
-
The works that I do He will do also, and greater works than
-
these He will do because I go to the Father, Whatever you in my
-
name, that I will, so that the Father may be glorified in the
-
Son. If you ask me anything in my
-
name, I will do it now. Based upon the scriptures we've
-
read, you understand anything you're asking is a direct result
-
of only what you are hearing from the Spirit who is
-
communicating what He's hearing from the Son, who's
-
communicating what he's hearing from the Father.
-
So this verse should be working in our lives all the time
-
because if we will develop our spiritual hearing to hear only
-
what the Spirit is saying about the situations and circumstances
-
and challenges we're having in life, and we get in cadence.
-
And the thing about a cadence, you know, is all my veterans can
-
testify is that we didn't do a cadence once.
-
I mean, we would. And the reason why these, a lot
-
of these get committed to our memory is because it was an
-
everyday confession, an everyday cadence that we were just.
-
So a lot of times when you're in the word and quoting the word,
-
really what you're doing is you're bringing a cadence to the
-
earth. You're reminding the earth that
-
that word that's in heaven, that's forever settled, it's
-
just as powerful down here in the planet.
-
And so you're going to be saying cadence day in and day out.
-
You're going to be speaking the word only.
-
And Jesus, like, listen, I'm telling you, I'm saying to you
-
those who believe in me and faith comes by hearing and
-
hearing from the word of God. So I've heard, now I speak and
-
because what I speak comes to pass, it's because I'm in
-
cadence with my heavenly Father. I'm only saying what he's saying
-
and I'm authorized to do it because Jesus has conquered it
-
all. He is the king of everything and
-
his name holds all authority. Hallelujah.
-
So the word in your mouth is the same as the word in his mouth.
-
If you are firmly persuaded of the word, if you're firmly
-
persuaded when you hear from heaven in your life, it, it is
-
that way because he said he will do what he said.
-
He said that word doesn't return to him void.
-
So again, the reason why he said the word that was sent forth
-
from my mouth shall not return unto me.
-
Empty your void, but it will accomplish that which I sent it
-
to do. In essence, he's saying a yellow
-
bird and then you are echoing our in cadence, speaking it back
-
to his ears and he performed. So again, if he says by your
-
stripes you're here and you say echo are getting cadence with
-
that, that that cadence of healing.
-
And there's a lot of scripture that is just a cadence of
-
healing for your body because the word does good like a
-
medicine. It becomes a cadence inside your
-
spirit that will then affect your veins and affect your lungs
-
and affect your organs and affect your muscle tissue and
-
affect your bone marrow, affect your brain.
-
Why it becomes a cadence? It becomes a sound on the inside
-
of you that God now has to perform it in your body.
-
When you're firmly persuaded, I said when you're firmly
-
persuaded. Last two Scriptures and we'll be
-
done in Mark Chapter 11 verse 22 says this.
-
So Jesus answered and said to them have faith in God.
-
One translation says have God's faith or the God kind of faith
-
and we can have God's faith because Jesus said in the
-
previous passage of Scripture, he says, now I'm saying to you
-
that if you believe in me, the works I do you'll do and greater
-
because I go to the Father as I was led by the Spirit on the
-
earth and did all these things, hearing from heaven, you are to
-
be led by the Spirit because those who are sons of God, they
-
are led by the Spirit of God. I hear him, I do what he says,
-
and it's not my work or my individual effort.
-
The effort I have is believing without doubting, is believing
-
with that. And that's a powerful work now
-
and it's required. It is a requirement for it to
-
come to pass. It's a requirement now somebody
-
else's faith can work for you for seasons.
-
Are you hearing me but God ultimately wants us to rise to
-
the occasion where we believe we receive as mark 11 here 22 to 24
-
says for surely I say to you again, he's speaking so let's
-
get in cadence. Whoever says to this mountain be
-
removed and cast in the into the sea and does not doubt in his
-
heart, but believes that those things which he says will be
-
done. He will have whatever he says.
-
Now notice Jesus said, now I'm saying to you that if you're
-
saying because you've heard because faith is in God.
-
So I'm saying that if you heard to speak to this mountain and
-
you were firmly persuaded that you heard the Father say speak
-
to this mountain, move and go to the sea.
-
I'm talking a natural one. Now, I'm not talking
-
figuratively, although it can be figuratively and spiritually
-
speaking, because a lot of times we're in situations that seem
-
like a mountain to us. And you know what?
-
If you speak the word over that situation, that spiritual
-
mountain or spiritual mountain of a situation will be removed
-
and be tossed out of the way. You don't have to go around it.
-
You can just move it out of the way.
-
OK, But he's saying if you don't down your heart, if you're
-
saying this, then whatever you say, these are cadence.
-
You're saying whatever you ask, meaning your cadence, your
-
cadence, your cadence, whatever. So those things that he says
-
will be done. He will have whatever he says.
-
So every time my cadence keeps going, I'm going to have it.
-
Verse 24. Therefore, I say to you,
-
whatever things you ask, when you pray, believe that you
-
receive them and you will have them.
-
The reason why a lot of times our cadence once we're asking
-
the Father, Father, how do we handle this situation or, or how
-
do we, you know, have this resource provided for or how,
-
how is it that you're healing my body?
-
Whatever the case may be, you give the word on the matter,
-
then you like Father in the name of Jesus because you asked the
-
Father in his name. Father in the name of Jesus, I'm
-
in cadence with you. I'm not speaking my own word.
-
I'm not saying my own thing. I'm not bringing my own line
-
because if I was marching with a platoon and somebody else was
-
throwing out some other words that doesn't provide you, it
-
would mess up the whole formation.
-
Just one getting out, getting out of rhythm, getting out of of
-
what's being said, it can disrupt everything.
-
And so I'm not here to speak mine.
-
And even if what you say to me, it blows my mind and I'm like,
-
how in the world I can't even conceive how that could come to
-
pass doesn't matter. It's not for you to figure that
-
out. It's only required for you to
-
believe. And if you will get in cadence
-
to what he says when you pray, Father, in the name of Jesus, I
-
believe you at your word when you spoke to me by the Spirit,
-
such and such and whatever I have that in Jesus name.
-
Now everything else becomes the cadence of that prayer, which
-
is, you know, thank you, Lord, thank you, Lord, thank you, Lord
-
of whatever it is that you're you're believing God.
-
You know, when we were believing God to purchase the mall and all
-
this property, I would just come on the land in cadence.
-
Thank you, Lord for 2121 US One South.
-
Thank you, Lord. I was just in cadence.
-
I know that we have it. I know it's ours.
-
I know you're already brought it to us.
-
I know you've already delivered it into our hands.
-
We are possessing it to serve our community.
-
I thank you. I was just in cadence.
-
I didn't get out of cadence to say I don't know if it's going
-
to work. I don't know how we're going to
-
do this, man. That seems like we might not get
-
it. I never got out of cadence.
-
She don't get out of cadence. You stay with cadence.
-
You just keep saying it. You just keep saying it because
-
he's the one who's delivered that word to you first.
-
Peter 125 says it this way. Come on up.
-
Worship team says this. But the word of the Lord
-
endures. But the word of the Lord
-
endures. But the word of the Lord
-
endures. And this is the word which was
-
preached to you this morning. Now, before we rejoice, and
-
again I say rejoice because I want us to practice a cadence
-
before we go because again, as pastor Marcy said, didn't know
-
what I was doing today. But she says we're literally
-
quoting Scripture here. In fact, there's another
-
scripture that says this. This is the day that the Lord
-
has. I will and come on now.
-
Now let's do cadence. So follow what I say.
-
This is the day that the Lord has made.
-
I will rejoice and be glad in it.
-
Now I'm telling you, if you had that volume during praise, that
-
kind of intensity, and again, all my vendors can let you know,
-
there were many times at 4:30 in the morning before the rooster
-
had a chance to wake up. Listen, we are waking up the
-
rooster to crow for the rest of the world because the Army was
-
right. We do more before 9:00 AM than
-
most people do all day, OK? And so there were many mornings
-
that we do not want to say a thing, but man, did it help wake
-
you up, get you focused, get you moving.
-
And it empowered you with those are, I mean, I don't even know
-
enough about you, but I am so much more connected to you
-
because, man, we are singing the same song.
-
We're in step, we're in cadence. We're not out of rhythm, man.
-
We're making this thing happen. I'm becoming stronger.
-
I'll give you this testimony. I was in my last PT test in my
-
first six months of that of training when I entered the
-
Florida Army National Guard. I went away to basic, you know,
-
for the 8 weeks, two months. From there we went from Fort
-
Jackson, SC to Augusta, GA, where I was in the signal core
-
as a telecommunication repair. I did electronic repair and when
-
I was in there I was a four month school.
-
At the end you have to pass APT test to finish all your
-
qualifications to graduate and then they take send you back to
-
your home unit. Well honestly I was sick and
-
tired of running. I am in great shape, don't get
-
me wrong. I've done enough push ups and
-
sit ups. I mean I could do the push ups.
-
I can Max push ups in a minute and you had two minutes.
-
I can Max it 80, get up and be done.
-
Sit ups never maxed them. I think the highest I ever got
-
was like 87. I had to do 92 at my age
-
bracket. OK, anyway, I had those pass and
-
here we are running 2 miles. That's all he got to do and I'm
-
running. But I'm telling you, mentally I
-
am wasted. I was wasted.
-
I guess I just wanted to go. I was just done, just done.
-
And so I'm and I'm I am a whole half a lap behind my buddy from
-
basic. Clark is his last name.
-
He had the nickname Shadow. I can't tell you my nickname
-
because it's I can't tell you it unfortunately.
-
It's unfortunate. Anyway, with that being said,
-
he's a half a lap ahead, so Shadow's up there and I'm and I
-
don't know, something Shadow just knew and he said why did
-
y'all call him Shadow? Well, he didn't talk a whole lot
-
and he was my buddy so he was always with me.
-
I was the sanguine personality. So I was kind of like, you know,
-
I would talk. I was first platoon leader.
-
I had no issues there, right? Could take charge of certain
-
situation, no issue. So, but he would be right there.
-
So they can end up nicknaming shadows.
-
So he's a half a lap ahead. I don't know, maybe you know,
-
it's eight times around the track.
-
I don't know whether we were a mile, probably a mile, maybe a
-
mile and a half maybe. But for whatever reason, he
-
realized I'm not on pace. And if you don't pass, you get
-
cycled back. That means they push you back
-
two weeks and and over not just fell into a PT test of which I
-
came in to that post. The first PT test I did was so I
-
did. I scored so well, three
-
hundreds, perfect. I was like 28290 somewhere in
-
that range, you know, and I thought my drill Sergeant gonna
-
tell me how awesome I was, but that's a different story.
-
That is in the book Dominionaire.
-
That's coming out next year, but it's not going to be titled
-
that. But you understand.
-
OK, With that being said, he notices, so he slows down for
-
me. He catches up.
-
I catch up with him and he's like, what's wrong?
-
I don't even want to talk to the guy.
-
You know what's wrong? You're not going to make it.
-
He's like, look, this is it. It's the last one.
-
He's called me by my nickname. I can't tell you what it was.
-
OK, it ended with kicker. That's all I can say.
-
And I'm running, I'm running, OK, I'm running.
-
And he's like, what are you doing?
-
So he kicks into cadence. Now, if you know anything about
-
cadence, when it when it comes to running, it takes more out of
-
you because you're using long. It's one thing to just breathe.
-
It's another thing to talk while you're running.
-
So here he goes with the cadence and it makes me want to cry
-
because he done that for me. That's amazing.
-
And so that cadence started kicking in, man.
-
And I'm like, here, I'm not talking.
-
I mean, I just want to lay down and die because not that I'm not
-
fit, I just mentally gone, but he got into my mind.
-
He got into my reserves. He he in inspire and because
-
he's saying he started singing at a pace that I didn't even
-
realize I was going faster. But man, when we came around the
-
last corner and I saw the finish line.
-
I'm a preach about this. A little bit later, I took off
-
now I left him. He said, well, that's rude.
-
Well, we were going to all pass anyway, OK, And he didn't mind,
-
but he didn't have a kick because he had given me of
-
himself to get to the finish line that we both go pass.
-
So he wasn't going to fail at my expense.
-
However, He gave of himself so that I could get to victory and
-
that's what Cadence will do. It will get you over in a place
-
of victory. So listen, when when our worship
-
team or when you come in, I know there's times that you don't
-
want to finish the service, but just look at the crazy one
-
beside you with veins popping out of their out of their neck
-
when they are worshiping the Lord and just getting Cadence.
