  1. If you have your Bibles, turn over to John chapter 6.

    John 6 chapter mention

  2. I'm not sure how far we'll go today because if we could make

  3. it through the whole passage that I want to look at today, or

  4. we may stop early. We'll just see how the Holy

  5. Ghost wants to move and flow with it.

  6. I do want you to know that this Friday, December the 13th, so

  7. say Friday the 13th, it's not a scary day, people.

  8. All right, on Friday the 13th at 6:00 PM here at Mall 2121,

  9. Washington will be having their choir singing in the mall.

  10. And so I'd encourage #1 if you're already shopping for

  11. Christmas, you should shop in your own mall.

  12. I mean, there's, there's stores available for you to purchase

  13. some at least one gift you should get out of your own mall.

  14. Amen. And so I encourage you to come

  15. by, but you could also be a support to our Washington

  16. students as they are are singing some Christmas carols during

  17. that time. And so we encourage you to come

  18. and be a part of that. Turn over to John chapter 6.

    John 6 chapter mention

  19. John chapter 6, we're going to talk about the bread today.

    John 6 chapter mention

  20. Amen. Let's look at this passive

  21. scripture. We're going to break some things

  22. up. And I want us to first look at

  23. verse 25 and we'll go to verse 31.

  24. And it says this. And when they found him on the

  25. other side, say the other side of the sea, they said to him,

  26. Rabbi, when did you get here? Jesus answered them saying

  27. truly, truly. I say to you.

  28. You seek me not because of Saul signs, but because you ate of

  29. the loaves and were filled. Do not work for the food which

  30. perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which

  31. the Son of Man will give to. You for on him the.

  32. Father God has set his seal. Therefore they said to him, What

  33. shall we do so that we may know that we may work the works of

  34. God? Jesus answered and said to them,

  35. This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has

  36. sent. So they said to him, What then

  37. do you do for a sign so that we may see and believe you?

  38. What work do you perform? Our fathers ate the manna in the

  39. wilderness, as it is written. He gave them bread out of.

  40. Heaven to eat, OK, And let's pray again.

  41. Father, we just thank you so much for the opportunity to

  42. receive Your Word. And Father, by receiving this

  43. word, it can change our lives. And so, Father, we have ears to

  44. hear today. We want ears of understanding.

  45. As Paul prayed for the churches that he planted, he said, our

  46. Lord, I pray that the eyes of their understanding would be

  47. enlightened, that they may know what is the hope of your

  48. calling. He prayed for spiritual wisdom

  49. and insight, revelation, knowledge, conturning Scripture

  50. so that when the light comes on, is revealed in the heart and

  51. transforms the mind, then we can walk in light of the truth.

  52. We can be extremely powerful people on the planet.

  53. We can be all that you've destined us to be, even in this

  54. life so that we can accomplish the work that you've called us

  55. to do. So Holy Spirit, we thank you

  56. that you're here in our presence.

  57. We thank you for the gifts of the Spirit that have been in

  58. operation already today. We thank you that those gifts

  59. have been outlined in your Word and we've functioned in them.

  60. But we also think that you're going to do the assignment.

  61. Jesus first introduced you to his disciples, and that is you

  62. would cause things to come to our remembrance that you've

  63. said. You're going to teach us all

  64. things. You're going to guide us into

  65. all truth, and you're going to disclose things to come.

  66. And we received the ministry of the Holy Spirit through the

  67. gifts, the gift of ministry, the ministry gift of the apostle and

  68. pastor in Jesus name, Amen. So they conclude this he said he

  69. gave them bread out of heaven to eat.

  70. Now notice this passive scripture.

  71. The people who have come to hang out with Jesus are to have come

  72. across the sea to Capernaum to see him is a group in the same

  73. chapter. If you go to the beginning of

  74. it, that was spending time hearing Jesus and.

  75. I've been listening for listening to him for three days

  76. and were not eating because they were listening to the words he

  77. was preaching and that's at the time that he turns to his.

  78. Disciples and says now listen, that what God has asked me to

  79. give them, I'm done. But I do not want to send them

  80. away because they've been here for three days listening to the

  81. Word and they've not eaten anything.

  82. So we need to feed. Them because I don't want them

  83. to go on their journey home and faint.

  84. And so the disciples like, wow, I mean, there's like 5000 men

  85. here, not counting the women and children.

  86. I'm obviously paraphrasing, but they says, you know, do you want

  87. us to get food for them? One gospel says it would be like

  88. 200 Denarian for us to go purchase loaves of bread, bring

  89. them back and feed everybody here.

  90. Now, they obviously suggested that because they had finance,

  91. Judas was in charge of the treasury and there was so much

  92. money that they had that he would be able to pull off or

  93. embezzle out-of-the-box, you know, without things being

  94. noticed. OK.

  95. And so with that being said, because again, you're not

  96. embezzling if there's hardly anything there.

  97. A lot of money must have been there that he was obviously

  98. coveting it and he began to pull from it.

  99. So the the money was there to do so, but the Lord said, that's

  100. not where I'm going. And So what he did is he took a

  101. boy's lunch, 5 loaves and two fish, right?

  102. And he began to then take those loaves and, and bless them and

  103. broke them and fed everyone that was in attendance.

  104. Now they ate and were satisfied. Well, after they were satisfied,

  105. you know, Jesus then goes across the sea and they.

  106. Come after the Lord again. Now notice here the Lord says

  107. that you didn't come seeking after me because of a son.

  108. Because you understand that's a pretty big sign that a child's

  109. lunch of five loaves and two fish that he can multiply and

  110. feed 5000 men. Plus wives.

  111. So if every man had a wife, that's another 5000.

  112. Then if they had children, you know, now that could be anywhere

  113. from 1:00 to 4:00 to 6:00. Whatever the case, we really

  114. don't know. A lot of times scholars try to

  115. equate it maybe to around 10,000.

  116. People at least double the amount were there besides the

  117. men. And as a result of that, that's

  118. a pretty powerful sign. But he says you didn't come

  119. because of the sign. He says you came because you ate

  120. and were satisfied. In essence, they showed up

  121. because they were thinking, if we just follow this guy, he'll

  122. meet our daily need. And they were coming for the

  123. natural need. But Jesus is saying to them,

  124. there's a bread that's better than the bread you ate on that

  125. day. You're coming just seeking me to

  126. take care of you naturally. That was not the reason by which

  127. I fed you. That is not the reason that I

  128. fed you, which tells us as believers there are things the

  129. Lord is showing us, maybe not for the reason that we are

  130. thinking. In fact, God is not showing us

  131. His word only so that our natural means are met.

  132. OK, So he they end up saying, now listen, you show us a sign

  133. because our fathers had this son that he gave them bread out of

  134. heaven to eat. Now this comes from Deuteronomy

    Deuteronomy 8 chapter mention

  135. chapter 8 verse one and three, the real intent of why the

  136. Father God through Moses gave bread to their fathers out of

  137. heaven. He said all the commandments

  138. that I'm commanding you today, you shall be careful to do that

  139. you may live and multiply and go in and possess the land which

  140. the Father swore to give to your father's.

  141. You shall remember, say, remember all the way which the

  142. Lord your God has LED you in the wilderness these 40 years, that

  143. you may hump, that He may humble you, testing you to know what

  144. was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandment or

  145. not. Now how did He do this test?

  146. Verse three He humbled you and let you be hungry and fed you

  147. with manna, which you did not know, nor did your Father's know

  148. that he might make you understand what that man does

  149. not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that

  150. proceeds out of the mouth of God Jesus.

  151. In the New Testament, He has a crowd of people that he just

  152. supernaturally fed with five loaves and two fish.

  153. OK, they've come to him again because they're seeking just for

  154. the natural. They miss the sign.

  155. They just want the natural and they work for the natural.

  156. And the, the, the test or the theme that he's trying to teach

  157. them is that you're not supposed to be living just so your

  158. natural means are met. I'm gonna say that again.

  159. You're not supposed to be living because your natural means are

  160. met. Yet how many are going through

  161. life living just to meet their natural means?

  162. Only, he says that was not the intent of the bread.

  163. The intent of the bread was not to sustain you naturally,

  164. although it did because if we went on to Deuteronomy, it says,

  165. listen, your clothes didn't wear out, your shoes didn't wear out,

  166. your feet didn't swell, swell. You were healthy and whole

  167. except for the rebellious ones that died, you know, of

  168. different issues. But the reality is, is that he

  169. provided for them. He took care of them, but it

  170. wasn't about sustaining them naturally.

  171. It was about life is in the word and that your pursuit while on

  172. the earth is not to determine how successful you can be

  173. naturally, how far you can get ahead naturally.

  174. That is not the point. The point is, are you living

  175. everyday life to obey what He is saying to you, that your actual

  176. existence, as Paul said, we live and move and have our being, is

  177. that we are wanting to just obey the voice of our king.

  178. What's happening in the natural in our lives is secondary.

  179. I mean, it may not even be secondary.

  180. It could be so far down the list in our lives of not of of

  181. unimportance because what is super important is that my whole

  182. existence is to obey the voice of my king.

  183. Are you hearing what I'm saying? And so the voice of the King is

  184. the lesson of life. I'm going to say that again.

  185. The voice of the king is the lesson of life.

  186. This is the goal. The goal is to become very

  187. proficient at obeying the word of our King as He speaks to us

  188. because life is contained within His word.

  189. If we go on and look at verse 32 of John 6, it says this.

  190. Then Jesus said to them, truly, truly, I say to you, it is not

  191. Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but is my

  192. Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.

  193. For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven

  194. and gives life to the world. Then they said to him, Lord,

  195. always give us this bread. And Jesus said, I am the bread

  196. of life. I am the bread of life.

  197. Hallelujah. He said I am the bread of life.

  198. He who comes to me will not hunger.

  199. Now that doesn't mean you won't feel hunger, because God is

  200. meeting our need on a totally different level.

  201. I said on a whole nother level. In fact, we saw in Deuteronomy,

  202. what did he say? He said, listen, He said, I let

  203. you go hungry and then I fed you because I'm trying to teach you.

  204. Quit living by your stomach. Quit living by your appetites.

  205. Quit living by your eyes. Quit living by your sight.

  206. Quit living by your own personal success.

  207. Quit talking to me about how I can make you blessed and how

  208. great you can be. And you miss out, that really

  209. your success is contained within obeying me at my word.

  210. He said I am the bread of life, right?

  211. He said he who comes to me will not hunger.

  212. He who believes in me will not thirst.

  213. But I say to you that you have seen me and do not believe.

  214. Now this is powerful because this lets us know that miracles,

  215. signs, and wonders are not a guarantee that it will produce a

  216. lifelong follower. Miracle signs and wonders do not

  217. guarantee it will produce a lifelong follower of Jesus.

  218. Miracle signs and wonders are not what we are to pursue so

  219. that we stay following Jesus. Miracle signs and wonders are

  220. the testament or testimony that He always does what He says.

  221. Hallelujah that he always does what he says.

  222. He is the bread of life, I said. He is the bread of life.

  223. I remember one time at when I was in the Florida National

  224. Guard, I had a friend of mine. That I, I believe his parents

  225. went to church, if I'm not mistaken.

  226. He had some brothers and he himself was not following God.

  227. Obviously, I was in church when I was in in the National Guard.

  228. In fact, I was actually volunteered as a youth pastor in

  229. a local body church within the community we lived in.

  230. I worked full time in the Florida National Guard and then

  231. when I wasn't working there, I was working full time, not for

  232. pay, but for purpose. I was working full time for pay,

  233. but for purpose as a youth pastor.

  234. OK Of which Pastor Vanessa would you stand up?

  235. Was in our first youth ministry that we had, OK.

  236. She was not the first youth. Annie Stafford gets that credit,

  237. but Vanessa came pretty soon after and she saw it come, which

  238. I think we were in the little building in the back when you

  239. came, which means then we had probably about 7:00 to 12:00

  240. youth when she showed up. But then we ended up running

  241. about 75 teenagers before we left to go to Rhema.

  242. You can be seated. And so, you know, we were just

  243. following God. I would work.

  244. At Camp Blanding and I would do that full time and then I would

  245. do activities with the youth. I would have to prepare for

  246. sermons. I would serve the church, I

  247. would help the pastor. And I'm doing all this and it

  248. was a joy because God had called me.

  249. I knew that my purpose would eventually get to it on a full

  250. time level. But until then, I was just

  251. privileged to be a part of the local body doing my fit.

  252. Amen. And so I remember this

  253. particular person that, you know, he knew that I was in

  254. ministry. He knew because I would read my

  255. Bible there. Obviously, we all got along

  256. really well anyway, but at the end of the day, I let my light

  257. shine before men. And so I remember we had gotten

  258. into a discussion one time concerning the Scripture and,

  259. you know, and he would be a little, you know, resistant,

  260. right? Because again, it's by faith.

  261. Well, we happened to be in a revival during the summer of 97.

  262. And during this particular revival, a person came in that

  263. we did not know. At all.

  264. They were not a part of our church, but they came in and as

  265. we were praying for them. As I I was.

  266. Ministering that particular night, I laid hands on this

  267. individual. And as I was, I had laid hands

  268. on this individual. You know, they were in the

  269. church and all of a sudden, you know, they were doing this here.

  270. And then the next thing you know, they're doing this here.

  271. And the next thing you know, they're doing this here and

  272. they're waving their hand. And then they're jumping and

  273. shouting, you know, and we're like Hallelujah, you know, I

  274. don't know nothing. Nobody knows nothing because

  275. this person just came in off the street, so to speak.

  276. OK, We eventually get the testimony.

  277. Now we happen to be recording this, not like what we have here

  278. today, OK. Yeah.

  279. I mean, this is like really, you know, this is Avhs time period.

  280. Somebody only know what that is. This is when America's Funniest

  281. videos first came out. Do you understand?

  282. I mean this is like. Raw, unedited stuff.

  283. And so we were having to film this and that person shot well,

  284. we end up getting the testimony that we were in service

  285. worshipping God and this person was driving this individual and

  286. and on the inside. They said the Lord said you need

  287. to go into that building and so they stopped.

  288. He said you need to go to the service tonight because it was

  289. during the middle of the week and so they end up coming into

  290. the service. We'll come to find out the

  291. gentleman. Had had a stroke and could not

  292. move the right side of his body. We did not know that.

  293. So they had helped them in. And so when we laid hands on God

  294. healed them so that they could have full movement again.

  295. Glory to God. So I said to my friend, because

  296. he was talking about, you know, faith, and I said, let me tell

  297. you something last night. And I told him this testimony.

  298. I said no, I have it on video. I said, if I show you this

  299. video, will you finally be convinced that God is real?

  300. You know what he said to me? He said, yeah, probably not.

  301. I said that's right, because it's not.

  302. You're you're you're demanding evidence, but the reality is you

  303. don't want evidence. You don't want to believe.

  304. Are you hearing me? So never let someone bully you

  305. into miracle signs and wonders to try to say, well, if this

  306. happens because Jesus understood this principle, when they come

  307. to him and say, work us a sign, show us why we would believe

  308. what you're saying. I mean, Jesus could have said,

  309. really, you want another sign? Did you not see the sign of the

  310. five loaves and two fish? I mean, did you not see that?

  311. But you know, I'm not going to sit here and entertain you.

  312. You know, I'm not here to entertain you, so I'm telling

  313. you what the sign is. You believe in me.

  314. Because here's the thing, God has placed evidence of Him in

  315. the earth today and he, what he said on this day is still being

  316. said today. He said, He said, you have seen

  317. and you do not believe. Do you understand?

  318. You can see Jesus in the earth today.

  319. How do I know this? Well, Matthew 1618, the Passion

  320. translation, and they get it right here.

  321. This translation is correct. It says I give you the name

  322. Peter, a stone. And this truth of who I am will

  323. be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church.

  324. Well, who's who is Jesus, He's the Christ, he's the king.

  325. That's what the church has built on.

  326. He said I will build my church, my legislative assembly and the

  327. power of death will not be able to overpower it.

  328. So Jesus is going to leave a scene evidence that he exists in

  329. the earth. It's his church in Acts chapter

    Acts 2:38–42

  330. 2 verse 38 through 42 Peter said to them, this is on the day of

  331. Pentecost when the church age was ushered in.

  332. He said, repent each of you and be baptized in the name of Jesus

  333. Christ for the forgiveness of your sin, and you will receive

  334. the gift of the Holy Spirit for the promises for you and your

  335. children, for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God

  336. will call to himself. For with many other words he

  337. solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying.

  338. Be safe from this perverse generation.

  339. So then those who had received the word had what had received

  340. the word were baptized and they and that day they they there

  341. were added about 3000 souls. They what continually,

  342. continually, verse 42 says devoting themselves to the

  343. apostle teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of

  344. bread and prayer. So the minute they were born

  345. again, they immediately started to do the legislative assembly

  346. where they were hearing from the apostles the teachings of God,

  347. the ministry of God. They did this on a daily basis

  348. they continually. So when someone is truly born

  349. again, the 1st instinct of a new believer is to assemble with

  350. others of like precious faith. And this is the first.

  351. Sure, there is no 123 steps to get integrated in a church.

  352. This is your pathway to church integration.

  353. I mean born again. You're in and you should desire

  354. to be in, want to be in, want to be taught, want to be renewed,

  355. want to have your mind renewed to the word of God.

  356. Your spirit man definitely wants to get around other believers of

  357. like minded faith and wants to grow, grow, grow just like

  358. newborn babes. They desire the milk of the word

  359. and you cannot show me an infant that comes out of the womb and

  360. and never cries and turns away milk that holds itself back and

  361. says until you give me a steak, take me to Longhorn.

  362. I'm not eating. It doesn't happen.

  363. No, they cry out and say give me the milk.

  364. And every newborn believer is saying that give me the milk of

  365. the word. Help me to grow up.

  366. It is a sign in the earth today. There are churches everywhere.

  367. Well, it's got there's churches everywhere because he's building

  368. them. And in First Corinthians 12/18

  369. it says, but now God has placed the members, each one of them in

  370. the body and the body is the church just as he desires.

  371. So a scene evidence of God is the church in the earth today

  372. and there are many people. Well, I just don't.

  373. There's the church, there is the church, and the reality is the

  374. seeing of the church is an evidence.

  375. But you still don't want to believe because no matter what

  376. we see and even can experience, it never replaces.

  377. If you're going to eat the bread of life, you have to be a person

  378. who obeys His word. That's what you have to be.

  379. And that's what Jesus is saying. Listen, I'm telling you right

  380. now, if you're going to follow me, you're going to have to.

  381. Eat of the bread of life. Are you hearing me?

  382. So in in John 6, let's jump down to verse 41.

  383. Now let's look what it says here.

  384. It says therefore the Jews were grumbling about him, because he

  385. said I am the bread that came down out of heaven, and they

  386. were saying is not. This Jesus, the son of Joseph,

  387. whose father and mother we know, how does he say I have come down

  388. out of heaven? And Jesus answered and said to

  389. them, Do not grumble among yourself, No one can come to me

  390. unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him

  391. up on the last days. It is written in the prophets.

  392. They and they shall all be taught of God.

  393. Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to

  394. me. Are you hearing what I'm saying?

  395. Are you hearing what I'm saying? So in essence, Jesus saying now

  396. when you get born again, you are going to want to assemble

  397. because in order for you to be eating of the bread of life that

  398. will never leave you hungry or thirsty because his word always

  399. comes to pass. I said it always come.

  400. This is the Kingdom life. If you want to have a Kingdom

  401. life, then you're going to have to eat bread daily.

  402. Give us this day our what daily bread.

  403. Which means you cannot live for God not daily eating.

  404. God never intended for you to not eat daily.

  405. Can we go fasting for a time? Absolutely.

  406. But you understand if most people's spiritual diets were

  407. applied to their physical diet, they would die pretty quick of

  408. malnutrition. Same in anyway, right?

  409. Because again, when I eat bread, right, when I eat bread and I

  410. try to avoid it at this time in my life.

  411. But when I eat bread, OK, when I am a bread eater, you

  412. understand, If I eat bread, which if I eat this kind of

  413. bread here, then man, it definitely makes me hungry for

  414. more. This was this was warm this

  415. morning, all right. Oh, and here's another one.

  416. Hallelujah. Shall I come by?

  417. It could be like there's a restaurant in Missouri called

  418. Lambert's where they throw rolls all over the place.

  419. They'll want me to throw some bread.

  420. OK, let me use it as an illustration first before I tear

  421. it up. But.

  422. He's the bread of life. So George, we know that I could

  423. eat some of this bread today, but if I never go back to this

  424. bread, then I can die. If this was my only source, if I

  425. eat it once, it's not enough to sustain me yet.

  426. How many are living a life where they've asked Jesus Christ to

  427. come into their heart and save them, but they're not daily

  428. eating and they're wanting to know why.

  429. Where's God? How come he's not well?

  430. God sustains if you eat of the bread of life.

  431. If you eat of the bread of life and you know as well as I do,

  432. you can go to some restaurants and by the time the main course

  433. comes, you're like, can you just bring me A to go box?

  434. Well, you're not hungry. Well, I ate so much bread

  435. before, right? So that's how they get you.

  436. You know, they, they, they put all that bread out there and you

  437. devour it. Then your food comes around and

  438. now you don't want to eat it. And then you justify yourself

  439. for your gorging of bread. Well, this is lunch tomorrow,

  440. but if some of you are kind of like me, you really aren't

  441. leftover people. So it's gets in the

  442. refrigerator. You actually do not eat it.

  443. It gets thrown away and you basically bought a meal that you

  444. didn't eat because you ate. All the bread first.

  445. But is it not addicting? You know what the word of God is

  446. addicting. Once you actually get into it

  447. and begin to taste and see that the Lord is good.

  448. If you would just get in the word and say this is the best

  449. yeast roll I've ever. Had.

  450. Now, I understand that Jesus told them that they don't have

  451. the leaven in it when they went out.

  452. Obviously manna was not that case.

  453. But you understand the Kingdom of God is like a woman who put

  454. yeast into flour. So even though yeast in some

  455. instances of the Bible is a negative, it is also a positive

  456. also. And the Kingdom of God is like

  457. yeast that gets into a measure of flour that once it gets in,

  458. it can't get out and it goes through the whole dough.

  459. And all of you in this room, very few are like.

  460. I don't want to have a hot, buttery yeast roll, right.

  461. I mean, just the smell. I mean, just me pulling it out.

  462. Had some of you. Your stomach's growling right

  463. now because you saw it. Now who is it?

  464. Gavin. Yeah, that's what I thought.

  465. Gavin's like. I am hungry.

  466. I have seen the bread and now I am hungry.

  467. See, the word should do that for us, that it makes us hungry,

  468. hungry for more. Are you hearing what I'm saying?

  469. OK, I'm gonna leave this bread up here so y'all can enjoy

  470. looking at it for a moment. All right, now here's the thing.

  471. He said you're going to be taught.

  472. Now, we need to get a little context here.

  473. Look at first John chapter 2, verse 26 to 27.

    1 John 2:26–27

  474. Because this passage of Scripture is taken out of

  475. context so much that I need us to go to 26 so that you

  476. understand the context of 27. John says this in his first John

  477. letter. He says these things I have

  478. written to you concerning those who are trying to trying to

  479. trying to deceive you. So verse 27, its context is

  480. you're going to be taught by someone, but not everyone

  481. teaching is teaching truth. So because of that, I have a

  482. mechanism within you. Verse 27 As for you, the

  483. anointing which you receive from Him abides in you and you have

  484. no need for anyone to teach you. Now that doesn't mean that no

  485. one has to teach you. What it's saying is according to

  486. the old covenant, when you are dead and your spirit man was

  487. dead and you had to have someone that had the anointing come upon

  488. them to teach you, which was the prophet and a priest that was to

  489. communicate the word of the Lord.

  490. He's saying now you get that you have someone on the inside who

  491. checks up to make sure what you're hearing is whether it's

  492. truth or not. And ultimately it is only him

  493. who's teaching you. Because the one who's anointed

  494. to help instruct you and is hearing from God will then

  495. confirm the Holy Ghost in you that those words are actually

  496. true. You're not just dependent on

  497. doing exactly what they said without questioning, because now

  498. you have in you an anointing. So you have no need for anyone

  499. to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you

  500. about all things and is true and not a lie, and just as he has

  501. taught you, you abide in him. So the anointing in you, which

  502. is the same Holy Spirit that came upon the author of, of, of

  503. of John who wrote this letter. And that same anointing came

  504. upon Paul because no scripture say no scripture say no

  505. scripture. No scripture is of anyone man's

  506. interpretation. So John is not saying one thing

  507. by the Holy Ghost to negate something Paul's saying no, he

  508. is in context there. There's things you're going to

  509. hear that is there to try to deceive you.

  510. Good news, you have an anointing he teaches you.

  511. And when he says that in right, you don't receive it, but when

  512. you get under the anointing of those that God has placed in the

  513. body, come on, y'all know where it is?

  514. Look at Ephesians chapter 4 in Ephesians chapter 4.

Ephesians 4 chapter mention Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  515. And he gave some as apostles and prophets, as some as evangelists

  516. and pastors and teachers. Why?

  517. For the equipment of the Saints, for the work of service to the

  518. building up of the body of Christ.

  519. Until we all attain to the unity of faith and of the knowledge of

  520. the Son of God to a mature man, we're maturing to the measure of

  521. the statute which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

  522. What is the result of this, of this being taught and equipped

  523. by the fivefold ministry? Which are gifts to you Now?

  524. You don't have to open up your gifts if you don't want to on

  525. Christmas, but they're your gifts nonetheless and you'll

  526. never benefit from the gifts you do not open up.

  527. But if you'll open up the gift of the apostle and open up the

  528. gift of the prophet and open up the gift of the advances and

  529. open up the gift of the pastor and teacher, then you can grow.

  530. And the anointing in you will say pastor was right, the

  531. apostle was right. The prophet discern is

  532. communicating that right. The evangelist is right.

  533. The teacher has line upon line, precept upon precept said that

  534. right. Receive it, accept it, walk in

  535. the revelation of it. OK, what's the result?

  536. You're no longer to be children, carried here and there by waves,

  537. and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of

  538. men, by craftiness. And what deceitful scheming did

  539. we not just read this in first John chapter 2 for those that

    1 John 2 chapter mention

  540. are teaching you to deceive you. So the fivefold ministry.

  541. Our teachers are ministers that communicate truths from God's

  542. word so that you will not leave it, live a deceived life, say

  543. Amen. But speaking the truth and love.

  544. We are to grow up in all aspects into Him who was the head, even

  545. Christ, from whom the whole body being fitted and held together

  546. by what every joint supplies according to the proper working

  547. of. Each individual part causes the

  548. body to grow for the building up of itself in love.

  549. And so John was saying, or Jesus is saying, listen here you are

  550. arguing about what I say. And the religious always argues

  551. with God. The lost who do not want him and

  552. reject him will argue with God. Don't find yourself arguing with

  553. the Word. Don't find yourself arguing with

  554. the Word. Because again, if you want to

  555. have life, you're then going to have to embrace and eat the

  556. bread of life. I said you're going to have to

  557. embrace and eat the bread of life.

  558. Can I get an Amen? So he wants to teach us the word

  559. John chapter 6. Now it will jump to verse 47

    John 6 chapter mention

  560. real quick. Says this truly.

  561. I say to you, he who believes has eternal life, I am.

  562. The bread of life. Say I'm the bread of life.

  563. Your father ate. The manna in the wilderness.

  564. And they died. This is the bread which comes

  565. down out of heaven, so that you may eat of it and not die.

  566. I am the living bread that came down out of heaven.

  567. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever.

  568. And the bread also, which I give for the life of the world is my

  569. flesh. Whoo, here we go.

  570. Then the Jews began arguing with one another, saying, how can

  571. this man give us his flesh to eat?

  572. So Jesus said, truly, truly. I say to you, unless you eat the

  573. flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no

  574. life in yourself. He who eats my flesh and drinks

  575. my blood has eternal life. And I'll raise him up on the

  576. last day. For my flesh is true food, and

  577. my blood is true drink. He who eats my flesh and drinks

  578. my blood abides in me and I in him.

  579. Man, you hear this. You're like this guy is in the

  580. cannibalism and he wants you to eat him.

  581. He says as the living father sent me, I live because of the

  582. father. So he who eats me, he also will

  583. live because of me. This is the bread that came out

  584. of heaven, not as the fathers ate and died.

  585. He who eats this bread will what?

  586. What are you going to do? You're.

  587. Going to live. Forever and these things he said

  588. in the synagogue and he taught in Capernaum.

  589. Therefore, many of the disciples, when they heard this,

  590. said This is a difficult statement.

  591. How can who can listen to it? And you know what?

  592. That statement is being made by Saints still today, still today.

  593. Because if it isn't for the death, burial and resurrection

  594. of Jesus, if it isn't for the fact that Jesus had to sow

  595. himself as a king in order to reap kings, that he had to lay

  596. down his life so that you could have life and life more money.

  597. That He had to sow Himself and take on your unrighteousness so

  598. that He could give you His righteousness and His blood is

  599. what is poured out on the mercy seat of heaven that takes care

  600. of every sin you ever committed. It is the fulfillment of the

  601. assignment and the reason you must eat of His flesh and drink

  602. of His blood. What He is literally saying is

  603. you must believe that I came as as God in the flesh, as the Son

  604. of Man. I died for your sins.

  605. I gave my life for you. I put stripes on my back for

  606. your health and well-being. I poured out my blood for all of

  607. your wrongdoing. And I've been raised from the

  608. dead on the third day. And if you'll call on my name, I

  609. will be your Lord. And when I'm your Lord, then you

  610. can eat bread daily because the bread of life is to do the words

  611. that I say on a daily basis. Are you hearing me?

  612. But they're like, this is a hard saying.

  613. You know, there's a lot of believers that are saying this

  614. is a hard saying. They're not saying it's hard to

  615. believe Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave.

  616. What they are saying is that it's hard to eat the bread of

  617. life daily. This is the problem that in

  618. order for them to eat the bread daily, they have to be a

  619. follower of His word. And for a lot of people, he

  620. said, that's a hard thing to hear.

  621. That's a hard thing to hear that I have to think about God first.

  622. I I work. I mean, I have a job.

  623. I have a business. I have this, I have that.

  624. I've got bills to pay. I have.

  625. He said wait a minute now. I need you to.

  626. Hear my word grow in my word. Let me be.

  627. First you seek me first. Come on.

  628. Who wants some bread here? Gavin, you ready?

  629. All right. Y'all want some over here, man,

  630. It's good to be in service today, is it not?

  631. Come on. Interception.

  632. Oh, we got some people in the back.

  633. Back there. All right.

  634. Here we go. All right.

  635. Y'all ready? Oh yes, man, I should play

  636. quarterback or something right now.

  637. I don't know what's happening with me.

  638. Here you go. Big piece, big piece.

  639. Oh, Greg's like, man, it hit me in the face.

  640. Oh, you look at that. Eat it.

  641. Anyways, 5 second rule, 5 second rule.

  642. There you go. Oh, Isaac, can I get you in the

  643. back back there? I bet I can.

  644. Oh, come on now. Did it get on top?

  645. Oh great. You know what we're?

  646. Going to have a rat in there now.

  647. Probably I have to do something about that.

  648. Thank you. Wow, how crazy, Isaac.

  649. You're tall. You should be.

  650. Able to jump up there. Thank you.

  651. Shall we try again? Isaac, guys, OK.

  652. Oh, over there in front row people, huh.

  653. Oh. It hit his.

  654. Hands. I just want you to know it hit

  655. his hands. All right, See, that was

  656. beautiful. Just say Amen, wow, you know

  657. this right here will be good with some of my wife's, then my

  658. homemade soup, like tear out the inside and make it my bowl, you

  659. know? Oh, Hallelujah, Amen.

  660. It's a difficult thing, right? It's difficult now, many years.

  661. Not difficult unless you're like trying to withhold yourself from

  662. bread. But if you have no issue of it

  663. showing up in your body, you know as well as I do you're

  664. after it, right? Because some of you who don't

  665. think US grain's good, and I understand why you go to the

  666. other countries and you have no limitations because you're like,

  667. Lord, I'm eating some bread. All right, The bread of life.

  668. There's joy about it. And there's joy.

  669. My wife came home the other day. She said, I bought you

  670. something. I said you bought me something.

  671. She goes, yeah, you got me some uncrustables.

  672. I'm like, she got the good stuff now.

  673. It wasn't the actual uncrustables.

  674. So healthier version, but I was like, man, I'm really trying to

  675. not go there. So I'm like, OK, I said we don't

  676. have to give this stuff away because I'm going to be honest

  677. with you, if it's in the house and it's not good to eat, I'm

  678. eating it anyway. I'm like, we got to get rid of

  679. this stuff. It's no good for our household.

  680. Get it out of here. I mean, look, that's biblical.

  681. If something offends you, cut it off.

  682. So I try to give it away, but if it's not there, I just consume

  683. it, work out a little bit harder and say don't do that again.

  684. All right, let's finish this up. It's a hard thing.

  685. Why does it become a hard thing? Hebrews 511 says it this way.

  686. Concerning him. We have much to say and it's

  687. hard to explain. Since you have become dull of

  688. hearing. A dull ear does not want to eat

  689. of the bread of life. When you start to develop a dull

  690. ear, you're going to be like what we're fixing to read here

  691. and that is you're going to turn away.

  692. This is happening. You know, Jesus said I'm the

  693. bread of life. Nothing's changing and how to

  694. eat of him is the same. It's not changed in all these

  695. thousands of years, OK? It's not changed really since

  696. the creation because Adam the 1st.

  697. Adam he was to eat of the bread of life.

  698. And all he had to do was obey God at His word.

  699. But the day he ate of the fruit he was not supposed to.

  700. Then death entered in, and God was looking for someone who

  701. would be able to obey him without blame so that He could

  702. redeem humanity and give them the opportunity to come back in

  703. through obedience. To his Word, God did all the

  704. work. Our work is just.

  705. Obeying him by faith. OK.

  706. So if we get all the earring, then we get into this issue,

  707. Second Timothy 4, three and three and four of the Amplified,

  708. and we've read this, the other service in a different context,

  709. he said. For the time will come when

  710. people will not tolerate sound doctrine and acquire an accurate

  711. instruction that challenges them with God's truth.

  712. But wanting to have their ears tickled with something pleasing,

  713. they will accumulate for themselves many teachers, one

  714. after another, chosen to satisfy their own desires and to support

  715. the errors they hold. And they will turn their ears

  716. away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man

  717. made fictions and will accept the unacceptable.

  718. What dole hearing. Because again.

  719. When we start to hear the bread of life speak to us.

  720. And that's a hard and, and and I've said this, there's always a

  721. message. I call it the one thing because

  722. when Jesus confronted the rich young ruler who came to him and

  723. said, what must I do? Inherit eternal life?

  724. Good teachers said, why are you calling me good?

  725. Only that which is good come from heaven.

  726. And he said, just keep the commandments.

  727. He said, I've done them since I was a child.

  728. And Jesus didn't say, no, you haven't.

  729. He knew he had, but he had done it on his own terms.

  730. He was following the word based upon his way of doing, not based

  731. upon the one who authored the word he was following.

  732. So he tests him and says there's one thing you lack.

  733. And all of us in our what with God will come to our one thing

  734. meaning that which will determine whether you keep your

  735. course and be a disciple or whether you hang your head and

  736. develop dull hearing. And when you develop dull

  737. hearing, it doesn't mean that you'll leave the church.

  738. It just means you go to 1's. That support your belief all

  739. right and so this is what Jesus was confronted with when he's

  740. like I am the bread of. Life all y'all wanting signs but

  741. I'm just telling you if you'll just follow what I say you taste

  742. and see you'll find that I'm good and it's awesome.

  743. And they kept pushing for natural.

  744. So then he went a little bit further and he said, listen, you

  745. got to eat my flesh and drink my blood.

  746. And that was like, whoa, you have stepped over the line right

  747. now and they're like, we are out of here.

  748. OK. What's strange is the first

  749. Timothy 41A dull of hearing person has said, but the spirit

  750. explicitly says, and this has been one of the verses we've

  751. used all year. That's why we've been talking

  752. about the reigning spirit. But the spirit explicitly says

  753. in the latter times, some will fall away from the faith, paying

  754. attention to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons because

  755. they'll come to a point where the Lord saying, hey, I need you

  756. in your life. That's a hard thing that's hard

  757. to listen to. That's hard to listen to.

  758. I mean, really, as a believer, can we get to a place that we're

  759. like, you're asking too much of me now the answer should be no.

  760. But can the Lord ask of something of you that you're

  761. like, that's too far and we just have to be honest about these

  762. things. We have to be honest about those

  763. things because again, God's not here to help your natural

  764. comfort. The gospel that we have is not

  765. that includes prosperity, is not for you to focus on you building

  766. the most prosperous life here. Prosperity is a byproduct of

  767. your purpose. But with prosperity, if God

  768. wanted you to give it all away like He did the rich young ruler

  769. you would do it for as a disciple, Because again, if you

  770. did, how are you going to lose? He's only going to give all of

  771. that back to you. Good measure, press down, shaken

  772. together and running over. But are you willing to let go?

  773. I cannot guarantee you that all the blessings God gives you that

  774. He won't have a saying at some point because all He's doing is

  775. testing. Am I what you feed on daily?

  776. Though the latter part of this scripture goes on and says it

  777. this way. John 661 to 68 but Jesus

  778. conscious. That his disciples grumbled

  779. about this says, Does this cause you to stumble?

  780. Now, we've already had the crowd leave, and from that day they

  781. quit following him. In fact, the day that they quit

  782. listening to the Bread of Life is when they harden their heart

  783. enough that the religious could convince them to shout on

  784. another day and say, crucify him.

  785. Give us Barabbas, the very group that was fed the from the five

  786. loaves and two fish are asking for his death.

  787. He says, verse 60. What then if the Son of Man

  788. ascends to where he was before? It is the Spirit who gives life.

  789. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I have spoken to

  790. you are Spirit and our life. But there are some of you who do

  791. not believe. For Jesus knew from the

  792. beginning who they were, and who did not believe, and who it was

  793. who would betray Him. And he was saying For this

  794. reason I have said to you that no one can come to me unless it

  795. has been granted him of my. Father as a result.

  796. Of this, many say many of his disciples withdrew and we're not

  797. walking with him anymore. So Jesus said to us, 12 do you

  798. want to go? Also, the terms of Pastor Hagen,

  799. when I've gone to some of his meetings, he'll say, if you

  800. don't like it, there's the door EXIT, right as he said that

  801. because he's saying, listen, at the end of the day, if you

  802. cannot do what the word is saying, then there's the door

  803. EXIT. And here's Jesus, his whole

  804. crowd, his ministry where everybody's like, look at the

  805. crowd that is following this guy.

  806. I mean, he's so anointed and successful in ministry and now

  807. they're leaving him because he's preaching truth, that he turns

  808. to his core and says there's the door as well.

  809. But Peter, Peter says, Lord, to whom shall we go?

  810. You have words. Of eternal life.

  811. Wow. Is Jesus that in your life?

  812. Is he words of eternal life to you?

  813. This is why it's easy for me to read daily.

  814. It's easy for me to commune because these words of like,

  815. it's not religious. Although I create a structure

  816. for me to be able to be and taste and see and stay under the

  817. bread of life. It's not religious duty, it's

  818. desire. I'm like Peter, where am I going

  819. to go? This situation occurs.

  820. This situation occurs, this happens.

  821. Where am I going? To go, you have words of life.

  822. So I conclude with this passage of Scripture.

  823. John 15 verse 7 says. This if you abide in Me and My

    John 15:7

  824. words abide in you, Ask whatever you wish and it will be done for

  825. you. My Father is glorified by this,

  826. that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.

  827. Just as the Father has loved me, I have also loved you.

  828. Abide in my love. How do you abide in His love?

  829. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I

  830. have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His

  831. love. Jesus is the bread and if we

  832. want true Kingdom life, then we have to understand the things of

  833. the natural are not more important than coming to the

  834. table daily when we're not assembling as called by God

  835. because he's over his church. You're going to eat daily.

  836. You're going to pull your own source of food.

  837. You're going to go through the scripture yourself.

  838. You're going to be meditating on things yourself, but when the

  839. the dinner bells ringing for the family to come, well then you

  840. find yourself here. You don't let the distractions

  841. of the worlds and the cares of life and the things of life that

  842. seem like they're more important when they're not.

  843. Because your natural success and any success you have is

  844. God-given anyway. Because what good is in a man to

  845. gain the whole world and forfeit his soul.

  846. But all of us who've called on the name of the Lord, we know

  847. that the blessings, the things that we're in is by the grace of

  848. God, is by the power of God and is by his word and us following

  849. him that we're even in this position.

  850. Why would I abandoned that when if I'm going to taste and see

  851. and eat daily of his bread that I'm not doing it and I'm doing

  852. that. And I want to encourage you,

  853. especially on Wednesday mornings, again, for those who

  854. can, I know not everyone can. There was a time that Wednesday

  855. morning prayer was a lot larger than it is today.

  856. And I know why because we just get out of a routine because

  857. there's someone out there that is a bread stealer.

  858. He's a bread stealer. All he wants to do is steal your

  859. daily devotion, your time with him.

  860. There's some things we can get in private, there's other things

  861. we get corporately, but I encourage you come and do as

  862. much corporate as possible because you're coming.

  863. To the bread of life, Amen.
