If you have your Bible, turn over to Matthew chapter 4,
Matthew 4 chapter mention
-
Matthew chapter 4. You know, a couple Sundays ago
Matthew 4 chapter mention
-
when I ministered on the, the bread, right, Kingdom life and
-
Pastor Marcy last week ministered and I'm going to
-
cover a couple things that she said last week.
-
But that Sunday in my mind, I, we, we have a ministry
-
coordinating meeting that we do the second Sunday of every
-
month. So in my mind, I was thinking
-
about that meeting, although we did not have it in December,
-
because we did a vision casting later that week.
-
So there was this concept concerning the bread that I was
-
planning on just bringing to the ministry coordinators and, but
-
obviously we didn't have that meeting.
-
So, you know, it's one of those notes that I put in my notes.
-
See, when I get things by the Spirit, sometimes, you know,
-
they can come out that day, or sometimes I just marinate,
-
meditate. We'll talk about that word here
-
in a minute on those particular things.
-
And then every once in a while, you know, when you're just kind
-
of going through, Laura, what do you want me to preach?
-
I'll start going through some notes of things that I have.
-
And then some things just pop up.
-
You know, I mean, the Holy Ghost says you need to go there.
-
And so, you know, I was doing that today saying, OK, Laura,
-
what do you want me to do to set up maybe next week, you know,
-
just talking to him. I'd went out and prayed for a
-
couple hours in the Spirit and came back and put myself in a
-
position to hear. And then this popped up and I
-
like, you know, I'm going to go there.
-
So tonight's message is the crumbs, the crumbs.
-
All right, Matthew 44 says this, but he answered and said it is
-
written, man shall what not live on bread alone, but on every
-
word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
-
All right, few things here. Obviously in this passage of
-
Scripture number one, man should not live solely based upon
-
natural means. Man is going to have natural
-
means that he needs to live on. That's why it says man shall not
-
live on bread alone. You cannot become so spiritual
-
that you you bypass physical. We are in a natural body, a
-
physical body that needs physical things.
-
God designed us that way, OK? And so he, you're not going to
-
get so spiritual that you would never have to eat natural food
-
again. He would sustain you by the
-
Spirit. It's not going to happen.
-
It's not going to happen. OK.
-
So we just need to understand that there are natural things we
-
are going to have to do in the earth, but we are not to let
-
that be our sole thing that we pursue, OK.
-
So man should not live on bread alone, but on every word that
-
proceeds out of the mouth of God.
-
So the number one priority for us in in living on the earth is
-
to hear from God is to hear from God.
-
OK, Now we ultimately know that there's a type and shadow here
-
and Deuteronomy chapter 8, verse one through 3, there was a
Deuteronomy 8 chapter mention
-
reference here of Moses speaking to the Israelites and he said
-
all the commandments that I'm commanding you today.
-
This is the Lord speaking obviously through Moses, saying
-
all the commandments that I'm commanding you today you shall
-
be careful to do, and that you may live and multiply and go in
-
and possess the land which the Lord swore to give to your
-
forefathers. You shall remember all the way
-
which the Lord your God has LED you in the wilderness these 40
-
years, that He might humble you, testing you to know what was in
-
your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.
-
And let me just stop for a second.
-
No, we know that God never intended for them to be in the
-
wilderness for 40 years, OK? And the only reason they're in
-
the wilderness for 40 years is because they did not do his word
-
to go on in and possess. They went in to spy out to
-
determine how we would do it. Not a problem until you decide
-
God will not do what he says. And that's what they did.
-
10/12/12 tribe leaders went in, 10 came back saying there's no
-
way we're going to be able to take this land.
-
It's not going to happen, cannot happen.
-
There are giants in the land. We are grasshoppers.
-
They see us that way. We know we're this way.
-
There's no way we can conquer Caleb and Joshua on another hand
-
says we're well able. We can take it.
-
There's no issue. They have the spirit of faith
-
right? They're like God said it.
-
We can do it and you understand what he did to Egypt.
-
We already have a trial run with his power.
-
We know what he can do to overturn nations.
-
There's a really not a problem. You need to quiet down.
-
We need to rally the troops and let's go on in but the 10
-
stirred up the whole congregation.
-
One translation says the nation of Israel and they bait they
-
rebelled. They said we we can't do it.
-
So the Lord is like, OK, then for the 40 days that you spied
-
out the land, that's how many years you're going to stay out
-
here in the wilderness? But he's staying out as they're
-
out there. He's still training.
-
Still training. Unfortunately those who died
-
never learned the lesson that is verse three.
-
He humbled you and let you be hungry and fed you with manna,
-
which you did not know nor did your father's know that he might
-
what make you understand that man does not live on bread
-
alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of
-
the mouth of the mouth of the Lord.
-
Now that test was pretty quick, right, because he's like, OK,
-
you're going to they were hungry.
-
Said we're going to give you some manna be like, what is
-
that? And so that morning he said, now
-
listen, God's going to provide bread for you.
-
Food man is what it was called, OK, and we're going to provide
-
that for you. And each day you are to pick up
-
enough to take care of your family.
-
That's the instruction. So you get enough to take care
-
of your family, don't get too much, don't get too less, get
-
enough to feed your family. And you're going to do this
-
every day until you get to the 6th day of the week.
-
And on the 6th day of the week, you get to double up.
-
OK, you're going to be at a double up because on the Sabbath
-
we're going to let you rest. You don't have to go out and get
-
food. You're going to have enough for
-
the two days so that you can rest and remember what I've done
-
because I want to keep you and remember.
-
So what I'm doing, if you're following me, follow my voice.
-
I am a God who does His Word. Well, what happened very first
-
day? They pick up more and he said
-
you when you pick it up, eat it all.
-
Don't leave any overnight, right?
-
He's giving them instruction what to do.
-
But they're like, I don't feel like eating it all.
-
I'm not going to. I'll just save that for
-
tomorrow. Sounds like.
-
What's the big deal? There's always a big deal when
-
you do not do God's Word. It's a big deal.
-
Now you understand, in our dispensation today, we kind of
-
still treat it like, you know, it's not a big deal not to obey
-
God. Well, we're undergrad.
-
It's not a big deal. It's a big deal.
-
There's never not, it's never not a big deal.
-
It is a big deal. OK, Now, when I said that I was
-
a double negative, never. Not So it's never OK for you to
-
disobey God's word. You hear what I'm saying?
-
So what we what we want to do is we want to obey God and it's
-
always in because his words life so obviously they kept some over
-
and it stonked. So everyone knows.
-
Listen, when you don't obey God, it stinks prettiest.
-
Now, unfortunately, not everyone know, but God knows.
-
It never goes without God not noticing.
-
And he's merciful. He'll forgive you.
-
No issue there. You understand.
-
I don't want you to feel condemned, but I also equally
-
don't want you to be, you know, lazy in obedience.
-
We don't want to create. A culture of Saints that's like,
-
well, that's really not a big deal it.
-
Is a big deal. And then good news is God will
-
forgive you if you disobey. He's merciful, he's
-
compassionate, he's kind. But just because he's that way
-
doesn't mean I should treat him basically with contempt, so to
-
speak. And say, you know, what if I do
-
your word or not? As you know, like, you know, the
-
old, the first Pirates of the Caribbean.
-
Movie, you know, with the code, right, that means you saw
-
Pirates of the Caribbean, right? And he said, well, it's more
-
like I said, a guidelines. And what we do is we're treating
-
God's word, who is the king and the ruler of all as really a set
-
of guidelines. Well, the man, there are
-
guidelines. Then you're making yourself king
-
over the king. So every time again, if we're
-
doing this analogy, you know which again, I didn't say it,
-
the Lord says it. Man shall not live on bread
-
alone, but of every word that proceeds out of my out of the
-
mouth of God and he says I tested you in the wilderness to
-
determine your heart to determine do you have are you
-
willing? Will you fully submit?
-
Because again. If they had.
-
Taken enough mana, eaten it and left nothing over.
-
Then the next day they would have gotten more food and there
-
was multiple ways they were getting really creative on how
-
to make mana. And so they do this for six days
-
and then on 6 day they double up and so they have enough for the
-
next day of which then they leave no leftovers when they get
-
into the first of the week because we're now back to the
-
same pattern or just enough for the day.
-
And what we're doing is we're learning that God's word works.
-
And anytime we deviated from that stench, right?
-
And so I mean, we're really, we could always say, you know, when
-
we find ourselves in a place that we knew God told us to do
-
something, we didn't do it. We're like, man, I kind of put
-
myself in a place where it stinks right now, you know, and
-
it's kind of self-inflicted because, again, God.
-
Didn't. God doesn't want your mana to
-
stink or be unproductive or to rot and have worms, right?
-
So as Pastor Marcy said last week, give us this day Our Daily
-
Bread. You know, so obviously in the
-
the bread we, we saw that the Lord is the bread of life, which
-
is his word. And we need to seek after that
-
bread. We need to seek after his word
-
be submitted it. And then Pastor Marcy brought
-
into the context then how do we eat that bread, right?
-
Last week was, you know, 1 bottle of time.
-
How do you personally eat the bread of life?
-
Well, number one, you have to or she said you need to meditate.
-
Joshua tells us that you're going to meditate on it day and
-
night. The word meditate means to chew
-
on it or to mutter. So not only are you chewing on
-
it in your mind, you're running the word through, but you're
-
also speaking it out as well. So that's in essence, you're
-
eating the bread of life because it's getting in your spirit.
-
OK, so again, there's this whole context of what they call mental
-
ascent, which means you can receive God's Word just in your
-
mind. Now anyone who has just mental
-
ascent means they don't have revelation and you can quote
-
something all day long, but you've never made it where it's
-
governing your life. This is what religion does.
-
People who are religious have a a mental or knowledge of God's
-
word, but they do not let it govern their being.
-
And when you don't let it govern your being, then in essence, you
-
may have the knowledge of God, but you're not allowing it to
-
govern how you live and, and, and you have the heart to want
-
to do it. OK, so in order to meditate on
-
that, you're chewing on it, you're getting it, you're having
-
it, because once revelation hits, revelation never hits in
-
your mind. Revelation always comes in your
-
heart because the Word is sown into our hearts, which is our
-
spirit man, OK. And once the Holy Spirit reveals
-
to our spirit what God is. Saying Then it will illuminate
-
our mind, it will renew our mind, and now we now have the
-
spirit and soul in agreement that man, God's Word, is right.
-
And I'm going to believe that now if my physical man is like
-
can't happen, we can override with the other two realms.
-
And that's how it was designed. You could not do it in the
-
spirit or we're alive to God in the spirit until you were born
-
again. So your spirit man was dead and
-
it didn't matter how much you knew about God, it never
-
assimilated into your life because it was not revelation.
-
But the minute you became born again, then all of a sudden your
-
spirit came alive. Now God's Word is alive and it's
-
life to you. And as you meditate and chew on
-
it and you receive it in, then it will give revelation in your
-
mind to where that's how you think.
-
And you want to think that way. So really there were a group of
-
people. Now, we don't know their names,
-
but there were a group of people in the wilderness that were
-
picking up the manna as the Lord said, they were not having
-
smelly issues. And now you understand this
-
stuff so stunk so bad that they're like, let's don't do
-
that again, OK? I mean, it was really so they
-
didn't want to do it, which again, because we're alive to
-
God, that's how we we should not want.
-
To disobey God. So if our disobedience stuck as
-
bad, stunk, as bad as the manna did, then we would probably do
-
it less. But if we realize that if we get
-
the revelation man that stinks to high, yes.
-
OK, so Pastor Marcy gave us 4-5 things that we are to do in
-
order to eat. Number one, we are to give
-
attention to the Word. Come on, y'all doing all right?
-
I take good notes, people. I did not ask her today.
-
All I had to do is go to my notes, right?
-
I'm, I'm doing you service, all right?
-
Because I'm fixing to get to something that's going to blow
-
your mind. All right #2 incline your ear.
-
That means you have to consent and submit to the word #3 let
-
the word not depart from your sight.
-
You got to fix your eyes on it. Got to keep it in front of you.
-
Now again, these are really easy and practical.
-
It's what I love about Pastor Marcy when she gets in her
-
teacher mode is they're extremely practical, but they
-
are powerful because they are the difference between life and
-
death. I have come through seasons of
-
great challenge by applying these five things, as simple as
-
that. And it's it's not rocket
-
science. But it takes diligence to do
-
that. And you have to be very
-
consistent. Look, I'm going to give
-
attention to the word, which means I'm not going to listen to
-
anything else. I'm not giving attention to any
-
other thing. I'm going to incline my hearing
-
my my ear gait, as she said, my eye gait.
-
I'm keeping the things that filter in.
-
It's only the word, the rest. Of it, I take captive and I cast
-
it down. I'm not going to let it dominate
-
me. And again, when you've been
-
around, you know, in ministry or you've been above believer for a
-
while and you've heard this kind of teaching, this can almost go
-
like. This.
-
Yeah, I know. However application we can
-
determine have you yawned yourself past application?
-
Because again, you know, there's quite a few seafood restaurants
-
in our community and salmon is something I.
-
Habitually eat and I get excited every time and there's some
-
restaurants I can get the same thing.
-
Cracker Barrel breakfast, only I've never had anything else
-
breakfast every time. All right #4 keep the word in
-
your heart. Keep the word in your heart.
-
You have to keep it. That means it doesn't stay
-
there. You know, we almost treat the
-
Lord or the Word or what we learn here like a lot of the
-
students in school, and that is you learn enough for the test,
-
you pass the test and then you forget the information.
-
Right. You know.
-
There are a lot of people in our Nation Today that have degrees
-
that they're not even working in those fields.
-
And they've been so far removed from when they received that
-
degree, the bachelor of master of Doctorate of that they are so
-
out of touch with the field that if they got into it today, they
-
would be behind, completely behind, even though maybe 20
-
years ago that was their degree and they can put on their
-
application. I, you know, I have a bachelor's
-
in graphic design. Well, you understand if you were
-
in advertising, marketing advertisement 20 years ago, it's
-
different today, right? So you have to.
-
Keep and that's effort, all right, and that's your
-
responsibility. God's not going to keep it for
-
you. You have to keep it.
-
And then the last one was the word is life to those who find
-
it in essence, feed your spirit. It feeds your spirit.
-
It is what makes your spirit man alive.
-
And again, it's easy for me I because of just navigating I can
-
always tell when my tank spiritual tank is not.
-
Full. It's a very easy indicator.
-
Do you want to know if your spiritual tank is full When
-
something occurs, what comes first?
-
Flesh or spirit? What comes first?
-
And then which stays longer now for me, I'm like a time guy, OK,
-
What do I mean by that? We all get through issues of
-
life, challenges and life that, you know, it challenges our
-
flesh and we're having to crucify that thing.
-
OK. But you want to be a bit like
-
David. David is not the only person
-
whoever repented. But what was about David?
-
He repented quickly, so there was a time frame of repentance.
-
He did not drag this thing out. He was someone who would quickly
-
repent when he realized I'm wrong.
-
I'm going to get that right. So, you know, for if you get
-
into a situation and all of a sudden you're responding fleshly
-
and the Holy Ghost is saying you need to make the adjustment, you
-
know, giving you your 5 practical things of how you need
-
to eat some bread of life in this situation and you're having
-
a heart. You're, you're basically
-
rejecting the plate. Well, what by the time you start
-
consuming the plate, what's that time period?
-
And you want to be able to get that thing reduced, because when
-
you're full, that thing could turn quickly.
-
You could turn quickly. Because in life, you're going to
-
get hurt. In life, you're going to have
-
challenges. Offenses are going to come.
-
You cannot stop offenses from coming, OK.
-
However, how you deal with it is going to be how well are you
-
eating the bread of life? Because the Bible has the answer
-
to all man's problems and questions.
-
There's not one that the Word does not cover.
-
There's not one situation you're in that the Word does not cover.
-
You just have to seek. All right.
-
OK, So with that being said, this could be my last review
-
scripture and that is in John 6 because this is setting us up
-
John 632. Definitely not to 68, it's only
-
to 35. I have 68 mine.
-
John 632 to 35 says this. Jesus said to them, truly,
-
truly, truly, truly, not lie, lie, truly, truly.
-
I say to you, it is not Moses who has given underline that
-
word given you the bread of bread out of heaven, but it is
-
my Father who gives underline that word you the true bread out
-
of heaven. For the bread of God is that
-
which comes down out of heaven and gives underline that word
-
gives gives life to the world. Then they said to him, Lord
-
always what give underline that give us this bread.
-
Jesus says verse 35. Jesus said to them, I am the
-
bread of life. He who comes to me will not
-
hunger and he who believes in me will never thirst.
-
OK, so. The first time we ministered on
-
the bread, we obviously left with the context.
-
The bread of life is the word of God.
-
Pastor Marcy last week talked about, well, how do you eat the
-
bread of life? Well, you've one bite at a time.
-
And she gave us practical ways that we can ingest.
-
Now the next thing is how do you serve it?
-
Because it's one thing for us to identify what the bread of life
-
is, how we do personal consumption, but you are
-
supposed to give it because here in this scripture, notice God
-
does not keep bread for himself, nor is he which God he's life.
-
So at the end of the day, he applies everything he says.
-
God does not go against his own word.
-
God is not a man that he should, which means God in his
-
sovereignty, meaning he has all power.
-
He doesn't say something to you that he is unwilling to keep.
-
Himself. This is why, when everything's
-
said and done and we have a new heaven and new earth, all that
-
are thrown into the lake of fire are those who are with Him.
-
Everyone. Every.
-
Creative being will know he's the only just one who is able to
-
keep his word, period. He's just.
-
He's just He is a keeper of His word.
-
So again, when we start the Bible in Genesis 1, he said let
-
us make man in our image according to our likeness and
-
let them have dominion. God gave a rulership that He
-
will not violate because He spoke it.
-
So that means when the when you know, the devil came into the
-
garden and deceived Eve and Adam rebelled, God didn't jump in and
-
say, wait a minute, I'm the ruler.
-
You can't do that. His word locked him out of the
-
situation because he won't violate it and he's all
-
powerful. I mean, he's already kicked out
-
this, you know, serpent in the garden out of his realm anyway.
-
Why doesn't he just come down and kick him out there?
-
Because he's given it and he's bound to his own word.
-
This is why he comes down and he says, OK, I'm going to have to
-
bring my seed through man. Because if I gave it to man and
-
he lost it, then a man must come in order to get it back, because
-
it's man's. I will not violate my Word.
-
Jesus then is born, you know, at the proper time.
-
So God has to come as a man because He will not violate His
-
Word. This is why you know as well as
-
I do God desires that none would perish.
-
Well, just because He has a desire doesn't mean everyone is
-
not going to perish. So you can't build a doctrine
-
that there's no hell or there is no, you know, you know, second
-
death because you know God desires at all would repent.
-
Well, obviously that's his desire, but he won't violate his
-
word and make you make him Lord of your life.
-
He gives you the free will. He does not violate His word
-
concerning you. So everyone who goes to hell,
-
God didn't send them, They wanted to go.
-
He enforces His word to them. You chose not to receive me.
-
This is the consequence because He won't violate His word
-
because to Him His word is life and he cannot violate it.
-
Now there are situations in Scripture when people read this
-
again, and let's be wise when we read it because again, we know
-
that he came down. He said, Moses, man, just get
-
out of the way. I'm gonna smoke these.
-
People. We'll just eliminate them and
-
start a whole nother nation with you.
-
We understand, Moses says. Don't.
-
He says he changed his mind. What did he change when?
-
He didn't change his mind he just changed when because he
-
cannot allow the disobedience to go on without something.
-
Now God also if you read the law when he gave when Moses is
-
right, there is this pathway of repentance because he said now
-
if the nation does these things, then this is the blessing
-
deuteron 28. If they do these things, if they
-
don't obey, then this is the consequence occur.
-
But it says now if they and he talks about he said if they
-
because they disobey and they get scattered all but if they
-
will repent, I'll gather. So he gives provision.
-
SO1 case in point, Hezekiah is a king and the Lord sends the
-
prophet to him and says tell him he's going to die, get his house
-
in order. What did God say that?
-
Absolutely. And is he going to do that?
-
Yes, unless Hezekiah enacts one of his other words which would
-
bring in his compassion, and that is repentance.
-
And he did remember, he throws aside and he began to layout and
-
repent. And because he repented, God has
-
another word for a repenter. And again, this is in a
-
scripture. It says he says, because again,
-
there was this argument kind of with God.
-
God says if a person is doing their life and they're doing bad
-
and they're evil and they're just running, but they repent
-
and change, then God will forgive them.
-
And you'll say that's not right Because then he says, if
-
somebody's following me, obey me, doing great, and then in the
-
end starts doing evil, then he'll judge them according.
-
He said that's not right. And it is right, because God
-
does his word. He's not changing.
-
He's not. Oh, well, I said that, but I'm
-
not going to do it. No, I said this.
-
But now if you do what else I've said, then you can enact me to
-
move here, 'cause, man, He is merciful.
-
He is so full of compassion. He is so long-suffering.
-
I'm so glad he's long-suffering. Amen.
-
Now, there may be indication during the millennial reign that
-
that will look a lot different because they'll be physically
-
present. That judgement will be paid out
-
in a quicker measure if we read the scripture.
-
OK, so God wants to give us the bread.
-
So in essence, the bread of life was never designed to be for you
-
to consume only. Not only do you you need to
-
consume it so that you can Jesus Christ said I do the will of my
-
father first. He ingests the will.
-
He was a studier of the word. He knew what his father's will
-
was. He meditated on it, he muttered
-
it, he kept it. He said anything I'm but then he
-
knew how to distribute. OK, so when we recognize that
-
the bread of life, I mean, God is talking to humanity, that he
-
wants to sustain them, not with just natural, but with his word.
-
And then we can be an example of what that looks like.
-
I mean, we walk into the office, we walk into our homes, we walk
-
into a place of business and you know, we walk in, you know, to a
-
reunion, whatever the case may be, people would be like, wow,
-
you should be so well nourished in the word that it's obvious.
-
And they're like, how are you taking care of you?
-
What is go? How come your life's like was
-
what you're eating? But guess what?
-
You can say do you want some? And you have to learn how to be
-
at a distribute. OK, now let's look at Mark
Mark 7 chapter mention
-
Chapter 7. Now Mark Chapter 7, I'm going to
Mark 7 chapter mention
-
only read the first few verses because we're going to look at
-
the Matthew account of this specifically, All right?
-
But I want to look at the Mark because it says some things a
-
little bit different so we can get a full picture.
-
Because a lot of times when we read scripture, if we don't
-
watch out, we just kind of read through it.
-
And we, we're not imagining like what's taking place here, OK?
-
Because you know, there's going to be people in the room right
-
now that are going to be very uncomfortable with what took
-
place in these passage of Scripture.
-
If you see it for how it reads, not gloss over it and act like
-
this did not occur. OK, Mark Chapter 7, verse 24 to
-
26. Jesus got up and went away.
-
And I'm going to break it down verse by verse, OK?
-
Jesus got up, went away from there to the region of Tara, and
-
when he had entered a house, when he had entered a house,
-
what's the next statement? Say he wanted no one to know of
-
it. He entered in the house.
-
He doesn't want anyone to know he's there.
-
So what is Jesus's attitude? I don't want to talk to nobody.
-
I don't want to be around nobody.
-
I don't want to convert. I sure don't want to minister.
-
I don't want to do nothing. That's what Jesus wanted.
-
He entered the house. He wanted no one to know of it.
-
I don't want nobody know I'm here, OK?
-
I'm trying to get away. I mean, we all just sometimes
-
need to get away if we feel like, man, I just need to get
-
away. Right, OK, but look what it
-
says. Yet he could not escape.
-
So you understand, he couldn't escape notice.
-
So the ones that don't know he's there.
-
It's not like Jesus. Like we'll bring them on.
-
Come on, Jesus. Jesus always has time for you.
-
Well, not in his flesh. There was times in his flesh
-
your life. And I can.
-
Can I get a moment here? Right.
-
Because again, what do we do? Well, if you're pastor, you got
-
to be available all the time. Well, Jesus didn't want to be
-
available all the time, right? Right.
-
I mean, we, we. And if you don't watch out like
-
friendships, there's all you're like.
-
You want them available all the time.
-
OK, verse 20. Five, but after hearing of him,
-
OK, so he hasn't escaped. Notice.
-
More than one person knows he's there, but all of a sudden
-
someone else hears he's her in town and she shows up a woman
-
whose little daughter had an unclean spirit.
-
Now this is this is a problem. His daughter has an issue.
-
She has an unclean spirit, so she's possessed of an unclean.
-
Spirit, it's not good situation. All right, OK.
-
What this this woman who has a daughter of an unclean
-
immediately came and fell at his feet.
-
So she got in the house, right? I mean, you just set back to
-
relax and all of a sudden, BAM, somebody's at your feet and
-
they're asking you to do something.
-
You're like, it's kind of like my dog.
-
My dog knows when a particular show.
-
The news show that my wife and I watch, we record it because I
-
much rather watch it recorded than when it comes on that way I
-
can just blow through the commercials.
-
OK, I just. And again, if they're talking
-
points silly I can push on too, but it's.
-
Amazing. I can sit down on my side of the
-
couch. My wife has a side that has the
-
chase, OK, And she's there. I'm over here, very comfortable.
-
I'm telling you, within 60 seconds she is over here by the
-
glass, by the our glass lighting doors and she starts doing this.
-
Really now this doesn't matter whether we just took her out 30
-
minutes ago. This is irrelevant.
-
It's when that show comes on, it's like she knows the music
-
montage. I mean, it's like, and and
-
again, it comes on at a very specific time.
-
So even if it's two hours later when we get home and we've just
-
let her out 30 minutes ago and then she here, it's like, I got
-
to go. She's like that.
-
I'm like, now I'm going to be honest with you, sometimes I
-
hold out for my wife. So 9.5 times out of 10, I'm
-
getting up and I don't have a problem with that.
-
But there are times you're kind of like, and my wife's gracious,
-
you know, when she doesn't see me moving and she's still, you
-
know, doing her little, you know, trying to talk to me as a
-
human being, right? I'm like.
-
Then she starts to. No, I got it.
-
I'll do it right. But I'm like, Jesus, I don't
-
even want her to know I'm at the house.
-
I don't want the dog to know I'm home so I don't have to get up
-
and let her out, right? Because we just did this 30
-
minutes ago. How is it you're going again?
-
OK, so after hearing this woman comes in this, her daughter's
-
got a real big issue. She falls down at his feet.
-
Verse 26. Now, the woman was a Gentile,
-
the Saarphoenician of the Saarphoenician race, which means
-
she was of two nations, OK? She had, she was mixed between
-
two nations, OK. And she kept asking him to cast
-
the demon out of her daughter. All right, now let's go over to
-
the Matthew account. Matthew 15 has this account.
-
We're going to look at it and we'll finish it on through.
-
But we'll repeat some things. Matthew 1521 to 28, it says
-
Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district and a
-
Canaanite woman, which is a Gentiles are Phoenician, OK,
-
She's not from Israel, she's not part of Jesus's nation.
-
OK, From that region came and began to cry out saying have
-
mercy on me. Lord, son of David, my daughter
-
is cruelly demon possessed. Now how is her daughter demon
-
possessed? Cruelly now?
-
She's talking to who? Who's she talking to?
-
Come on, who's she talking to? Jesus.
-
We're talking love embodied in the flesh.
-
Jesus, who already has this thought?
-
I really don't want nobody to know I'm even in the house.
-
However, people are here now and now this lady's here and she's
-
not even from Israel. She's in none of our tribe.
-
She's by all right what they call a heathen.
-
She's a gentile. There's this is problematic.
-
Just culturally OK. And she is crying out the other
-
mark count communicates how she repeatedly is saying this right.
-
So it's not just a one time that's Jesus.
-
I'm going to ask one time and that's it.
-
No, she's repeatedly saying this very distressed, crying out,
-
most likely emotionally distraught and and why wouldn't
-
you be? Your daughter is cruelly demon
-
possessed. Look what it says in verse 23.
-
But he what he did not answer her a word.
-
You're Jesus did not answer her a word and he's righteous and
-
just. He loves this woman way more
-
than you do and any calls you're covering.
-
He didn't say a word. This is mind blowing in him.
-
He did not answer her a word and his disciples came and implored
-
to him saying because they noticed he's not talking to her,
-
he's not responding to her and all she's doing is continuing to
-
yell, making a scene. I mean if you're not going to
-
converse then send her away. But she just keeps shouting at
-
us. Now he's going to talk to her.
-
But he answered and said and he's talking to the woman.
-
He said I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of.
-
Israel, are you hearing me? So in this is like.
-
I have an assignment and you're not in that assignment.
-
But she came and begged, began to bow down, saying, Lord help
-
me. All right, let's keep reading.
-
So it goes. And he answered and says it is
-
not good. Now he's talking to her.
-
Now look what he says to her. It is not good to take the
-
children's what? The children's what?
-
Now? What is the bread?
-
Because he didn't answer her a word he says.
-
It is not good to take the children's bread, meaning the
-
word of my nation, and throw it to the dogs.
-
Oh yeah, I don't. Want to hear this?
-
OK, are we talking real dogs here?
-
So who's he talking to? The Gentiles, the nation she's
-
of. In essence, he's saying I'm not
-
giving bread to you. A dog, Jesus.
-
Said this now. I'm going to tell you right now
-
people would be on CNN right now, Fox News, we'd be all up in
-
the uproar that Jesus would talk to somebody or anybody would
-
talk to somebody like that in an uproar because God, Jesus knows
-
the value of the bread of life because the bread of life is not
-
to be consumed on personal pleasures or your own wants.
-
We know this because it says, why do we have all these
-
quarrels? And James and he says, listen,
-
you have not because you ask not, but when you ask, you ask a
-
miss. So you're asking me for an
-
answer, but when you ask me for the answer, you're asking a
-
miss. You really just want my word so
-
you can get a blessing, but you don't want me.
-
See, this is the problem Jesus had with his own nation.
-
He says, man, I'm working miracles doing all this stuff.
-
And yet you're missing the whole point.
-
You're you're not wanting me. I am the word.
-
So he says it's not good to take the children's bread and throw
-
it to the dogs. Now this woman is way.
-
I mean, this lady is on a next level because believers can't
-
even function like this. Believers can't even function
-
like this. We know the world doesn't
-
function like this at all. I mean, the minute you say
-
something to somebody that it's an uproar, you're going to post
-
it everywhere, all over social media.
-
You're going to lambast them and all the stuff.
-
And then you're going to post all their texts that they text
-
to you. I mean, you're just going to rat
-
them out. You're going to just man.
-
And then it happens. Even in the church, Jesus says
-
this. She doesn't go out and say, oh,
-
that Messiah, you know, this Jesus, this one who raised the
-
dead and healed the sick enough. He didn't do nothing for me.
-
I went and asked him. My daughter was cruel as as did
-
look at her. She did and he would do nothing,
-
wouldn't even talk to me. He called me a dog.
-
But man, she was beyond that because at the end of the day,
-
she knows this. His bread gets results.
-
And I don't. I don't care what you think
-
about me. I need your bread at the end of
-
the I don't care what you think about me.
-
I am no. Good.
-
I know what where I come from, where I know what state I'm in.
-
I'm just I know this. Your bread heals.
-
It does it. It does it.
-
So she says to him, this is powerfully what she said, but
-
she said yes. Most of may more people would
-
denounce Jesus at this point. I mean, because they've
-
denounced their brothers and sisters.
-
I mean, they'll, they'll, they won't walk in unity that we've
-
been talking about, you know, because maybe said somebody said
-
something away or referred something to such a wall.
-
I can't even I mean this woman, if anyone can be offended at the
-
Lord Jesus Christ and hold him to his own words.
-
But this is bigger because when she stands in his friend, she
-
said she knows this, he's right, he's righteous, He's just and
-
anything he says about me and directs he's right on.
-
And I'm sure not going to wear my feelings because I I need
-
results. When you need results, you'll
-
crucify your flesh. You will put your own thinking
-
down. You will make some adjustments,
-
she says. Yes, Lord, you're supreme and
-
authority, You're righteous. But even the dogs feed on the
-
crumbs. Which fall from the master's
-
table. Jeez.
-
How many people have just disassociated with a local body?
-
Church just disassociated. Well, you know, they preach this
-
and they preach that, you know, I got it.
-
I can't believe they would say that.
-
I mean, this woman's like, I don't care.
-
I just want crumbs. Oh y'all don't want to hear
-
this? I mean, man, when you, when you
-
know that the master has all the answers, you'll go past certain
-
conversations and you'll come and you're like, man, I don't
-
care if all I get out of service today are crumbs because man, a
-
crumb will absolutely change your life.
-
I mean, you start just eating crumbs.
-
It has the power to break demonic strongholds of your
-
life. Wow.
-
Just get a crumb, man. Yeah.
-
People want to come and give me the revelation.
-
Yeah. You need a crumb.
-
I mean, a crumb would do some awesome things in your life,
-
man. Wow's right.
-
Yes, Lord. But even the dogs.
-
You're right about us. You're right about me.
-
You're right about my whole race, but even the dogs feed on
-
the crumbs which fall from the master's table.
-
Then Jesus said to her, Oh woman, before he didn't even
-
talk to her. He didn't even talk to her.
-
Oh woman, your crumbs can get you faith.
-
That is great. I mean, you don't need a whole
-
Revelation loaf. I mean you just need crumbs.
-
Crumbs will get you into great faith.
-
Listen, that means you can come into a service that you have
-
eaten the the loaf or bread of revelation concerning faith
-
healing, prosperity, authority of the believer, a multiplicity
-
of subjects. And then you come in, you're
-
like, man, I want another loaf. And the Lord's like, listen, I'm
-
giving you some crumbs today. That is from the loaf I've
-
already given you. But yet we disdain those crumbs.
-
But we want another loaf. But crumbs will get great faith
-
in you. So instead of getting offended
-
at the Master because through his fivefold ministry, he's
-
ministering truths to number one, maybe 'cause things to come
-
to your remembrance, to continue to strengthen you, to give you a
-
meal you've already had 100 times before.
-
But my gosh, man, if you get it for what it is, you'll remember
-
the first time you tested that sweet potato casserole in your
-
life. Bro, please give me another
-
portion. Attitude determines everything.
-
Crumbs, man, crumbs, crumbs. In essence, I understand that
-
this is being served to someone else, but if I can just get.
-
A crumb of revelation. I don't even have listen with
-
Saints today they had like. You don't put me at the table.
-
I'm not coming. This one was like I'm under the
-
table. I just, I don't care.
-
I don't care. I don't care whether I'm in the
-
back or the front. I don't care what they
-
recognize. I mean I'm under the table just
-
waiting for it to fall because when it does I'm going to grab
-
it like it's the only thing worth.
-
Eating. Man, this is awesome, right?
-
Jesus said to her, old woman, your faith is great.
-
It shall be done for you as you wish.
-
And her daughter was healed at once.
-
I said. Her daughter was healed at once.
-
I said her daughter was healed at once.
-
If she would have been offended by his lack of attentiveness, if
-
she would have been affected by his silence, by him ignoring
-
her, then if she then when he finally spoke, he's like, the
-
word you want is for my nation, not you, She would have got
-
offended. All that.
-
She would have left and her daughter still would have been
-
cruelly demon possessed. However, she knows the value of
-
the bread of life and just a crumb from it.
-
Just a crumb. Listen, it may not be for me
-
specifically, but if I could just get a Chrome, I know it had
-
changed me. Are you hearing me now?
-
Why do I say that? Because I'm a prophecy a little
-
bit. I got this by the Spirit.
-
Now I'm using the Scripture because again, any prophecy that
-
doesn't have some context in Scripture is not real prophecy.
-
OK, when I say that I'm talking about unction of the Spirit
-
through the gifts of the Spirit. OK, I'm prophesying.
-
Many of you. Says the Spirit of the Lord, are
-
not giving away your crumbs because you've not valued what
-
you already know. The spirit of the Lord says, I
-
want to remind you of a of the prophet who went to the widow
-
during the famine, Elijah, and when he went to her house, he
-
says, make me some bread first. She says, I only have enough to
-
make me a little bit and my son a little bit and then we're
-
going to die. He says, make it for me first,
-
says the word of the Lord, and if you'll do that, then make
-
y'all some this thing's not going to run out.
-
And by faith the crumb of the meal they had multiplied every
-
day till the famine was over. The Spirit of the Lord says, do
-
you not remember how small, how small the amount of bread was
-
used to feed 5000 men? Do you remember how many small
-
in comparison amount of bread or loaves were used when feeding
-
the 4000 men? He said the things you already
-
know, what you think you don't know, but what you do know.
-
There's enough power in what you know that there are people
-
you're encountering today, and you're embarrassed to give
-
crumbs. But the crumbs you give, what
-
seems insignificant to you. God can multiply.
-
In fact, let me just say it this way.
-
Jesus says as I am in the earth, so are if he was the bread of
-
life, which was the carrier of the word of God.
-
You are a carrier of the Word of God, which means God can
-
multiply as little as you think you are into something so
-
significant it can just. Keep coming off you and out of
-
you. And touch whomever you come.
-
You have an endless supply of the bread of life to feed
-
people, even if all you're giving away is crumbs.
-
So it doesn't matter whether you have graduated from Bible school
-
and been in ministry or or or or been in the church for 30 or
-
4050 years. Doesn't matter no matter how
-
many books you've read, how many times you've gone through the
-
Bible, because even if you were born again yesterday, you have
-
enough in your testimony that it can multiply.
-
Don't be ashamed of it. Give your bread away because
-
what you have, God can multiply. God can cause a word you say to
-
your Co worker to multiply in their ears for the next month.
-
One word, one word, 1 phrase, one act of kindness out of from
-
God that the Lord says listen, buy their lunch and tell them I
-
care about them. Listen I'm just gonna buy you
-
lunch. The Lord want me to do this,
-
said he cares about you or the Lord just wanted me to do it.
-
That's all you say. You just give an acknowledgement
-
where you heard it and why you're doing it.
-
And God can take that one word, that crumb, and pound on the
-
heart of that person night and day by the remembrance of the
-
Holy Ghost. And one person, someone you
-
think there's no way they would ever give their lives to God.
-
That one action, that one crumb has demonic or has the ability
-
to crush demonic strongholds. There's nothing that the enemy
-
can do. That a crumb can't set free.
-
Wow. Say Hallelujah.
-
Say Amen. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you, Jesus. I said thank you, Jesus.
-
Well, Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord.
-
Let me close with a warning. OK, There's a warning for
-
withholding bread, even crumbs. We find this in Luke chapter 16
-
verse 19 to 25. I won't read the whole account.
-
This is not a parable. This is an actual occurrence and
-
the reason it's not a parable because number one, it doesn't
-
start. You know, the Kingdom of God is
-
like, or that Jesus spoke a parable saying, OK, another
-
thing is any place that he said the Kingdom of God is like or
-
you know, another parable or he spoke this parable.
-
He always used general terms. He never used natural names.
-
In this case, he talks about real people.
-
So again, if you would, if you thought this is a parable, then
-
you have to conclude that Abraham never existed.
-
He's a fictional character. OK, says Now there was a rich
-
man, Jesus said, And he habitually dressed in purple and
-
fine linen, joyously living a splendor every day, living in
-
splendor every day. And a poor man named Lazarus was
-
laid by his what by his what by his what?
-
His gait covered with sores. Now what did Lazarus?
-
Long, for at his gate he longed to be fed with the crumbs which
-
were falling from the rich man's table.
-
But he wasn't at the table. He wasn't even under the table,
-
he was at the gate and it says that even dogs were coming and
-
licking his sores. The poor man died and was
-
carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom.
-
That was paradise doesn't exist anymore because Jesus split that
-
open and pull those people out. OK.
-
And the rich man also died and was buried in Hades.
-
He's in hell. Or the grave, he's in torment.
-
He lifted up his eyes, being in torment and saw Abraham far away
-
and Lazarus in his bosom. Verse 24.
-
And he cried out and said, father Abraham, the guy knew who
-
Abraham was, recognized in the spirit, who he was.
-
There's no indication that this was during Abraham's time.
-
He said have mercy on me and send Lazarus so that he may dip
-
the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am
-
in agony in this flame. Now notice he's asking for
-
Lazarus that he passed at the his gate every day so
-
positionally. In fact his spiritual position
-
has not changed. Even though he's in torment, he
-
is still only thinking of himself.
-
So agony. Anyone who goes to the lake of
-
fire in the end will not have ever have a change of heart.
-
They'll still be selfish. OK, But Abraham said.
-
Child, remember that during your life you received your good
-
things and likewise Lazarus bad things.
-
But now he is being comforted here and you are in agony.
-
Ultimately he says, listen, I couldn't come over there if I
-
wanted to. You can't come over here.
-
We got this thing in between US. In essence, the righteous dead
-
was in paradise. The unrighteous dead is holding
-
for the the weighted Great White Throne judgement trial that is
-
to come at a later. Date that has not happened yet,
-
OK? The point here is he said,
-
listen, Lazarus had his bad things.
-
You know what was bad about Lazarus?
-
The bad things he received is that he had a rich man go past
-
him every day at his gate. He knows he's hungry and he is
-
eating his bread. And he never once even thought
-
or considered to offer him a crumb.
-
Everyone in this room that is born again, you're carrying
-
bread. You're carrying bread if we
-
never give. Then we are.
-
Rich people that are eating the bread of life to ourselves,
-
we're filling ourselves to the full, but we're not even willing
-
to give crumbs to those that we see day in and day out.
-
And at the leading of the Holy Ghost, he says give them
-
something. Now there's some that he, the
-
Lord, can say, don't even talk to him, because I wasn't going
-
to talk to that woman either. Listen, if the Cyre Phoenician
-
woman had quit asking, she would have left without anything.
-
She wanted it so bad that her faith was revealed sometimes.
-
I'm going to give you another scripture.
-
We are casting our pearls before the so there's some people you
-
don't need to give a crumb to until they're exhibiting their
-
faith. But if you know someone has a
-
need, and you can meet the need, and you sense in your spirit
-
you're supposed to, then even if all you have is a crumb they're
-
wanting. It.
-
A lot of times we don't distribute because they're like,
-
man, I, I can't help them. But what you do have is really
-
all they want because the Lazarus didn't want to be at the
-
table. He was longing just for the
-
crumbs. And there's many out there that
-
do not believe, like the Phoenician woman who did not
-
argue with Jesus. You're right.
-
But even the. Dogs.
-
You're right about me, Lord. You're right.
-
You're right. I don't deserve the words that
-
you speak to your nation. I get that.
-
I'm not in covenant. I'm outside.
-
I'm an outside. That's true.
-
But I would want to be. I would make you my Lord.
-
I know you are Lord, and I'm born in this nation.
-
If I could have been born in yours, I would have been.
-
But I know you're Lord nonetheless.
-
And man, when she demonstrated her faith and said, you know,
-
even the dogs eat crumbs, just give me a Chrome.
-
So sometimes you think, man, I got to do.
-
They just want the Chrome. And you have that.
-
Let's pray.
