Sermon
It's Reigning - The Body of Christ with Pastor Marci Glisson

-
So, you know, Pastor, last week kicked off 2025 and the reigning
-
church, and I want to follow up with talking concerning the
-
reigning church. But what does the reigning
-
church look like? What does the reigning church
-
look like? Or we could say what are some of
-
the characteristics of what a reigning church looks like in
-
the earth? What are those characteristics?
-
What should be seen from the church?
-
And when I say the church, we know that we're talking about
-
what the body of Christ. We are the church, we are the
-
body of Christ. And so, you know, what does a
-
reigning church look like? And you know, it's very
-
important that we go through Scripture because we want to see
-
what Scripture has to say about what the church is to look like
-
today in the earth. And if we're going to walk in
-
the fact that we're going to be participating in the church that
-
is reigning in the earth until he returns.
-
Amen. And what is this picture of the
-
reigning church look like? And just I'm going to go over a
-
few. I have 10 points.
-
And yes, we're going to get through them because there's,
-
there's not much to say about it.
-
It's pretty self-explanatory. But there is one point, the last
-
point that I really want to focus on.
-
But we see that pastor used the Scripture out of Matthew 16 and
-
verses 18 through 19. It says this.
-
I also say to you that you are Peter and upon this rock I will
-
build my church. And we know that Jesus is still
-
building his church. The church is of Him, Amen.
-
And he is still the one that should be building His church in
-
the earth. He delegated that to what
-
pastors, prophets, teachers, evangelist to be able to help
-
him in the earth build his church.
-
But he's still the one in complete authority in his
-
building. Amen.
-
And so that's very important that we recognize that.
-
So he is still building his church and he says this and the
-
gates of hates will not overpower it or the gates of
-
hell will not overpower it. So it doesn't matter how dark
-
the world gets. Come on.
-
It doesn't matter the persecution that may come
-
against the church or the people of God, or the fact that we want
-
to stand up in the pulpit and still use the name of Jesus and
-
still preach about the blood and still cast out demons.
-
Come on. You know, just a month ago we
-
had somebody leave the church because we were demonstrating
-
casting out a demon. That's all right.
-
I don't care. I'm going to do what Jesus said
-
to do. People are being demonically
-
tormented right now in the world.
-
This is not just back when Jesus walked the earth.
-
No, it is relevant and prevalent today, Amen.
-
And evermore, evermore prevalent today.
-
And so we're going to do what Jesus said we were to do as the
-
church. We're not going to become
-
traditional, come on, We're not going to become religious.
-
We're going to actually be people that live by the word of
-
God. Amen.
-
And let that be the thing that we pulled our lives upon.
-
And so he says the gates of hell will not overpower it.
-
That means there's nothing in this earth that can come against
-
the church that would cost stop the church.
-
Nothing. Nothing.
-
No government. I mean, look at China.
-
Did it stop it? No.
-
No, it didn't stop it. Nothing can stop the church
-
because what happens because he gets himself within you and
-
we're going to talk about that later.
-
And so it can't overpower it. The only way that the enemy can
-
overpower you is when you submit to him and yield to him and
-
don't know who you are in Christ.
-
This is the only way the enemy overpowers you, period.
-
It's just the bottom line, OK. And then he goes on to say in
-
verse 19 it says, I will give you, who is he giving the church
-
right us the keys of the Kingdom of heaven.
-
And whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven,
-
and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in
-
heaven, so that nothing in this world has the power to overtake
-
or overcome the church. And the church has been given
-
all authority. Keys represent authority.
-
He's been given us all authority to bind and to lose in the earth
-
what needs to be done so we can bind up the things that the
-
enemy is trying to act like he's going to come against the church
-
with. We bind it up.
-
We bind it up and say no in the name of Jesus.
-
You can't do that here. Come on, you can't do that in my
-
life, whatever the situation may be, because he's given us the
-
authority, the church, Amen. And if you are a born again
-
believer, then you are the church, you are the church, you
-
are the body of Christ, Amen. And so we see that a reigning
-
church here looks powerful. A reigning church,
-
characteristics of a reigning church, is one that looks
-
powerful. It is a powerful force in the
-
earth. It is not pitiful.
-
It is not pathetic. It is not beat down.
-
Come on. It is not broke.
-
Come on, the church is not broke.
-
That's a good word. No, It's a powerful force in the
-
earth. It is the most powerful force in
-
the earth today. And that has to become your
-
reality. It has to become your reality.
-
If it's not your reality, this is the problem.
-
It's got to become your reality. You have to receive the
-
revelation of it, and this is the problem is that still in the
-
earth most people do not want to see and have the revelation of
-
what Christ is trying to get across in the body of Christ.
-
Until revelation does not happen, until it becomes real to
-
you, because it can be revealed to me, it can be real in my
-
life. But you still don't make it real
-
in yours. And we're here to get the
-
reality within you so that you can make it real in your life.
-
Amen. So that you can make it real in
-
your life. The reigning Church is a
-
powerful church. It's a powerful church and you
-
are part of it. Those who have called on the
-
name of the Lord, those who have made Jesus Christ their Lord and
-
their Savior, listen, you are a part of a powerful force in the
-
earth. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. The next thing we see, a
-
reigning church looks like is one of authority and dominion.
-
A reigning church you will see people operating in authority
-
and in dominion. Just like the fact that we
-
recognize we've been given the keys of the Kingdom of God.
-
So part of our authority and our dominion is to bind up and to
-
loose things that are in the earth that belong to us, the
-
territory that belongs to us, to take dominion over.
-
Amen. And it's one of authority.
-
It's one of power. It's one of dominion.
-
People ought to look at your life and see that you have taken
-
dominion over the things of this world.
-
Not that you're still succumbed to it, but you've actually taken
-
the power over things of this world and taken dominion over
-
things that are trying to rule and reign in your life.
-
Now read out of the amplified, verse 19 out of Matthew 16 out
-
of the amplified. It says I will give you the keys
-
and here it is authority of the Kingdom of heaven and whatever
-
you bind, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and
-
unlawful on earth. Wow, unlawful on earth.
-
You know, there's a lot of things happening in our earth
-
that are unlawful. And he is waiting for the church
-
to rise up and say no more. We're not going to allow that in
-
our city. We're not going to allow all
-
that come on in our nation. It is unlawful and I forbid it
-
and I declare it and I take authority over it.
-
So the reigning church is one of authority.
-
It's one of dominion, Hallelujah.
-
And it's one that knows its place and what we have to do for
-
the church to be able to rise up and reign in the earth in this
-
last day. A reigning church #3 this is
-
number 3. Y'all good.
-
See, I've already been moving through fast.
-
See, a reigning church should have a spirit.
-
This is very important. A reigning church should have a
-
spirit of wisdom and revelation. A reigning church should have a
-
spirit of wisdom and revelation. It should have instruction of
-
divine truth. Come on, that is unknown and
-
revealed to and by the Spirit. This is what every single one of
-
us should be walking in. A spirit of wisdom and
-
revelation. Revelation that has been
-
revealed to us by the Spirit of how God needs us to operate in
-
the earth as children of the living God.
-
Listen, it is supreme intelligence.
-
You think AI is something we have the creator of heaven and
-
earth housed on the inside of us?
-
Come on, glory to God, the Supreme Intelligence.
-
Come on, the great I am, glory to God that has is all wisdom,
-
Hallelujah, all power. Come on living on the inside of
-
us. And it's time that we recognize
-
it and get to the plate and say, I'm going to rise up and I'm
-
going to quit letting this mediocre thinking keep me bound
-
when I have the Supreme Intelligence living on the
-
inside of me, a spirit of wisdom and revelation.
-
There ought to be nothing that we can't do and we can't
-
accomplish. How do nobodies?
-
I mean, you know, I was thinking, and I don't care who
-
your president is, who your president is not.
-
I don't really care because my king is on the throne and no man
-
can save us. They can only just help us out a
-
little bit along the way. Anyway, I was thinking about
-
this the other day. You know, when presidents come
-
into the office because, you know, Monday's inaugural day.
-
But anyway, when presidents come into the office and they begin
-
to choose their cabinet and we know they, some of them will
-
begin to have, you know, like Billy Graham.
-
He has been a voice that has gone before tons of presidents
-
and prayed or those that would be your faith counselors.
-
And I'm thinking here's Billy Graham, a nobody that God raised
-
up to sit. This is how our lives should be
-
that God raised up to have supreme intelligence to be able
-
to sit before president after president after president after
-
president in our nation's, to be able to give them spiritual
-
counsel from above, Supreme intelligence and wisdom.
-
Our wisdom should not be of this world should not.
-
That's what this means when you look up in the Greek supreme
-
wisdom and revelation. It is divine, revealed things to
-
us by the Spirit, and this wisdom is Supreme Intelligence
-
used of the knowledge of the very diverse matters.
-
No matter what the matter is. You can tap into not AI, but
-
into the Supreme Intelligence of the world.
-
It is not the World Wide Web that has Supreme Intelligence.
-
And we have this living on the inside of us.
-
We have this living on the inside of us.
-
Supreme Intelligence, Why we acting stupid?
-
Colossians 2-3 says this. In whom are hidden Talking of
-
God, In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and
-
knowledge? The Church should be giving
-
answers to the world, bringing answers to our community,
-
bringing answers to the educational system, bringing
-
answers come on to every sphere and sector of society.
-
It ought to reign supreme above any other else's wisdom.
-
I don't care who it is. And we ought to be bold enough
-
to stand before Elon Musk and let him know you not the
-
smartest cookie on the planet because we have a supreme
-
intelligence on the inside. Come on, think about these
-
things. Think about these things.
-
This is what the church ought to be looking like.
-
It's what the church ought to be acting like it.
-
It's what the church ought to be producing, the reigning church.
-
This is what we ought to be producing in the world.
-
Hallelujah. Now let's look at Ephesians
Ephesians 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1. Ephesians chapter 1, 17 through
Ephesians 1 chapter mention
-
23, it says that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians
-
obviously is talking about the Ephesians church.
-
This is Paul writing to the church.
-
These are prayers that we pray over our church, right?
-
You and prayer and corporate prayer.
-
You know, we pray these over our church.
-
This is speaking to you, the body of Christ, the church.
-
This is for us to become aware of, to know, to meditate on.
-
Ephesians 117 through 23 says this, that the God of our Lord
-
Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, say glory.
-
Y'all going to keep saying this word in a minute.
-
Say glory may give to you a what spirit of wisdom and revelation?
-
Say a spirit of supreme intelligence in the knowledge of
-
him. I pray that the eyes of your
-
heart would be enlightened. This has been my prayer this
-
year for this coming up year for the body of Christ.
-
Oh that we would just get revelation.
-
The the eyes of our understanding would wake up to
-
what is on the inside of us, to what we are housing, to what we
-
are carrying to the world. That the eyes of our heart would
-
be enlightened. Revelation means that the light
-
comes on enlightened, so that the revelation, knowledge or the
-
light of God would come on in our hearts, so that you will
-
know what is the hope of His calling and what are the riches
-
of His. Say it again, Say it again, the
-
riches of His glory. We are carriers of this glory of
-
the Supreme Intelligence. Come on, the Supreme One on the
-
inside of us that is full of all wisdom.
-
So there are some riches of the glory of his inheritance in the
-
Saints. There is some riches in His
-
glory that belong to us Inheritance.
-
Inheritance. It belongs to us.
-
Come on, Say it belongs to me. Say it belongs to me.
-
Oh Hallelujah, it belongs to me. And then verse 19 says this.
-
And what is the surpassing greatness of His power towards
-
us who believe here it is that power again.
-
It's there. It's a great power that belongs
-
to the church. Come on.
-
And then he goes on to say, these are in accordance with His
-
working of the strength of His might, which he brought about in
-
Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at the
-
right hand in heavenly places. Far above all rule, all
-
authority. This is it, all power and
-
dominion, in every name that is named, not only in this age, but
-
also in the one to come. Come on, you know there is a one
-
to come. This isn't the end of all
-
things. Come on, there is a one to come,
-
another age to come. And that's why he set eternity
-
in the hearts of man. Every heart knows there's
-
something beyond their existence.
-
Every heart. I don't care if it is the
-
hardest of hearts, they've only tried to cover it up to quit
-
asking the questions. There's got to be more to life
-
than this, because nothing in this world satisfies the heart
-
of man except eternity. And he put all things in
-
subjection under his feet, and he gave him his head over all
-
things. What to the church?
-
To the church, All power, all authority, everything come on.
-
All authority and power is under the feet of the church because
-
it's under his come on, under his feet, which his body, which
-
is us, the church, the fullness of him who feels all and all.
-
So a reigning church is a church that houses his presence, that
-
houses his presence. It has riches come on of glory
-
that belong to us. So a reigning church is going to
-
be a Church of his presence. We're not going to squelch the
-
presence of God. You know, many people squelch
-
what I had to be obedient to do earlier.
-
But see, your life means more to me than what anybody else
-
thinks, because many churches squelch the presence of God and
-
they will not let the presence of God dwell in the house that
-
it belongs to. And so they don't want any of
-
that Holy Spirit stuff happening.
-
They don't want anyone to prophecy.
-
Come on. They don't want anyone to cast
-
out a demon. They don't want anybody to lay
-
hands on the sick. They don't want anybody to speak
-
in them their tongues. Come on, this is the truth.
-
It's the truth. And it's the very thing that he
-
said His church would house, the power in the presence of God,
-
the riches of His glory. Come on, the riches of his glory
-
there ought to be. When you talk about the presence
-
of God that fills the house that is there in the church, listen.
-
It ought to be producing an effect.
-
Listen, the presence of God, this power of God is the change
-
agent. We can speak, you can have the
-
Word, but it's only when the Spirit gets a hold of it in our
-
life that we allow the change to happen.
-
It's the Spirit and the presence and the power of God that's the
-
change agent. Remember in Genesis, this isn't
-
in my notes in Genesis chapter 1, what happened?
Genesis 1 chapter mention
-
God was the Word. He was there in the beginning,
-
and what happened? It says that the Spirit was
-
hovering over the earth. See, This is why the Spirit is
-
the change agent, because when he spoke the word, the Spirit,
-
the power, the presence went into action to what?
-
Create what we begin to see. And behold, said, let there be
-
light. And the Spirit of God went into
-
action to change it, to make it become light.
-
He said let there be man, let there be animals.
-
What happened? The Spirit of God went into
-
action. The presence of God, the power
-
of God is the change agent. So I'm telling you, when there
-
is a church full of the presence, full of the power of
-
God, there ought to be change happening in your life.
-
It's the change. Agency ought to be change.
-
You should never remain the same.
-
Once you encounter the presence and the power of God, your life
-
should forever be changed. And that's what a reigning
-
church looks like. It houses the presence of God,
-
the power of God, so that we can see the fullness of God, the
-
riches of His glory manifesting among us.
-
Oh Hallelujah. Now let's go to Ephesians
Ephesians 4 chapter mention
-
chapter 4. Ephesians 411 through 16 is
-
where we're going to see the next 4A reigning church is a
-
mature church, and pastor taught extensively about that on last
-
Sunday. So I really don't want to focus
-
on that at all. Just to know that a reigning
-
church is going to be a church that's mature.
-
That's what he's talking about, that it would be filled up with
-
the fullness of God. People would be mature, they'd
-
be growing, they'd be producing the effect of the power of God
-
and the presence of God is affecting their everyday life
-
and you can see it evident in their life.
-
Drug addicts ought to be, you know, come and claim because of
-
the power and the presence of God in the church, Come on.
-
And you see them go out and be able to overcome.
-
Come on. Pornography ought to be falling
-
off of people. Come on.
-
This is the presence and the power of God.
-
Come on, that can set a man free, totally free people
-
growing and maturing. So Ephesians 411 through 16, it
-
says this. And he gave gifts to the church,
-
and they were varied. He himself appointed some
-
apostles I'm reading out of the amplified special messengers
-
representatives, some as prophets who will speak a
-
message from God to the people, some as evangelists who will
-
spread the good news of salvation, some as pastors,
-
teachers, to be able to shepherd and to guide and instruct the
-
flock. And he did this what?
-
To fully equip and perfect the Saints, God's people, for the
-
work of service, to build up the body of Christ, the Church.
-
You see that? What is He?
-
Here it goes. Until we all reach oneness in
-
the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God growing
-
spiritually to become a mature believer.
-
His church will be producing mature believers.
-
It will be producing a reigning church will produce mature
-
believers. The next thing we see that a
-
reigning church will produce is equipped Saints.
-
Equipped Saints, I ought to be able to send you out into this
-
community and you ought to be able to lay hands on the sick.
-
You ought to be able to cast out demons in Walmart, and they need
-
to be you need to be come on, laying hands on the sick.
-
You need to be leading people to Christ.
-
You ought to be equipped with who you are in Christ and the
-
authority that you've been given so that when you're in your job,
-
when you're talking to your coworker, you ought to know how
-
to rightly divide the word of truth.
-
You ought to be able to, you know, and I and I've, I've
-
testified by people out in the community that every time they
-
were on a cross, someone from Anchor, anchor faith, they say
-
that man, they're full of the word.
-
I mean, I felt like I needed to go back to Sunday school.
-
You ought to, because that's what we want to produce.
-
It's what we want to produce. To have a reigning church.
-
Come on, an equipped church, a mature church.
-
The next thing we see here, even in that Scripture, the same one
-
in verse 13, it says until we all reach oneness in the faith,
-
we ought to be 1 and united. A reigning church will be one of
-
unity. One of unity.
-
This is what a characteristic of a reigning church will look like
-
is that we all are one. We know who we are, we know what
-
we are supposed to be doing, and we know that we're going to
-
unite with everyone and not try to bring any type of strife,
-
division, discord, backbiting, gossip.
-
Because what does that do? It brings disunity.
-
And as the body of Christ, we should not be producing that.
-
We should not want anything to harm the body of Christ,
-
anything. And so let's read on verse 13
-
until we all reach to oneness in the faith and the knowledge of
-
the Son of God growing spiritually to become a mature
-
believer. And I just want to say this side
-
note because I hear the Holy Ghost saying it, if you are a
-
gossip and if you are a backbiter, you are sowing
-
discord. So arrest yourself and, and, and
-
submit your tongue. Come on to the Spirit of God.
-
And so and know this, that if you are gossiping and you are
-
backbiting, it's proving that you're really not mature.
-
Because a mature person knows I can keep my mouth shut and it
-
doesn't even matter if I say this or not.
-
Doesn't matter what I think, what my opinion is, you know, we
-
have people call the church and say, well, what's your opinion
-
about this? I don't have an opinion about
-
that. I mean, really they call the
-
church and want to know what's your opinion about this?
-
Well, my only opinion is what the word of God says, and I have
-
no opinion on the matter. Especially if you're trying to
-
cause problems among the body, right?
-
You got to know when a mature person knows.
-
I don't need to respond to this. This is ridiculous.
-
I don't have to say that I don't have to defend myself.
-
I don't have to justify my behavior.
-
I don't have to do any of these things because I know who I am
-
in Christ. And, and, and words can you can
-
be throwing your words out before the swine, pearls before
-
the swine. Quick to hear, quick to hear.
-
A mature person is quick to hear.
-
I know y'all are not liking it, but I'm going to say it quick to
-
hear and what that means. I'm going to be led by the
-
Spirit and what I say when I open up my mouth, OK.
-
And so a mature person will know this mature believer reaching to
-
the measures of the fullness of Christ, manifesting his
-
spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts
-
in unity. You see that all of us have got
-
been given spiritual gifts. And a mature person is saying,
-
I'm not going to sit on my light.
-
I'm not going to cover my bushel.
-
I mean hide my light under the bushel.
-
I know God's given me gifts to do things and I'm going to use
-
it to serve the body. A mature person will do that,
-
not just sit in the church and do nothing.
-
Anyway, side note, I better get on the happy stuff over here,
-
verse 14, so that we no longer are children or spiritually
-
immature, tossed back and forth like ships on a stormy sea and
-
carried about by every wind and shifting of doctrine, by the
-
cunning trickery of unscrupulous men, by the deceitful scheming
-
of people ready to do anything for personal profit.
-
But what? Speaking the truth in love and
-
all things, both our speech and our lives.
-
It's not just about what you say, because you can say you
-
love me all day long, but your actions say other things.
-
OK, this is the amplified y'all might want to read it.
-
And so he goes on to say this. It says both in our speech and
-
our lives. Expressing His truth.
-
Let us grow up in all things unto Him, following His example,
-
who is the head, Christ from Him the whole body, the church, and
-
it's all its various parts are joined and knitted firmly
-
together. But whatever joint supplies,
-
when every or when each part is working properly, causes the
-
body to grow and mature, building itself up in what
-
unselfish love. So a reigning church is not
-
going to just be a Church of being one or unified.
-
A reigning church will have God's love functioning and
-
flowing within it that we love you enough.
-
See, everybody wants to have the warm fuzzy feelings of love.
-
But here he says how I love you is to speak the truth to you in
-
love. And we know people don't always
-
want to hear the truth. You can't handle the truth,
-
that's why you got to know when to speak and when not.
-
OK, so the whole goal is to only speak the truth into people's
-
lives because we love you like God loves you anyway.
-
A reigning church. A reigning church is one that is
-
going to walk in love. And walking in love means
-
sometimes I've got to speak the truth to you.
-
And you may not want to hear it, right, But a glorious reigning
-
church will look that way, full of love, all right?
-
Not just loving the unlovable that comes in and welcoming the
-
homeless. Yes, we do all that, but it's
-
about also speaking the truth to you and love.
-
OK, we do all that. But anyway, so the next thing
-
that we want to look at is the reigning church is full of God's
-
love, and this is God's love. This is not love is love.
-
And whatever love you decide you want it to be, this is God's
-
agape love, OK? This is what the church ought to
-
be producing and ought to be. You ought to be able to see this
-
in people's lives, that they love people, that they are there
-
for people, that they want to encourage people, all of these
-
things. OK.
-
And you know, this is what a reigning church is going to look
-
like. The next thing is a reigning
-
church will look like a church that is always serving.
-
And we have a serving church. Amen.
-
You know, we have so many people that are serving that we decided
-
this year we were going to get all of our servers together
-
because we haven't done it and do a team rally.
-
So y'all don't be freaking out. I heard y'all got this e-mail
-
sent out from planning center and we talked about being, you
-
know, it being at a team rally and it was going to be sports
-
related. You don't have to play sports,
-
guys, OK? It's the theme of what we are
-
doing, OK? And pastor's going to be your
-
coach. He's not going to make you get
-
down and give him fifty OK, or run laps.
-
It's all fun and games to show our appreciation because you
-
know what, out of a Church of 700, we have over 400 people
-
that are serving on a regular basis.
-
I would say we have a serving church, but I know we still need
-
more because there's still so much more to do.
-
So don't think we got so many that you can't know.
-
We still need children's workers.
-
Bless your hearts. And you know, I was just telling
-
them the other day, I would love to be just sitting in that
-
nursery rocking those babies and it would just satisfy my heart.
-
Every single service I would sit in there, change those babies
-
diapers and rock those babies because it would sure sometimes
-
be better than being doing what I have to do because there's
-
just only reason I'm doing this is because of what God has said
-
and His grace. And his anointing.
-
Amen. So anyway, we're going to have a
-
fun time with y'all, not to scare y'all, OK?
-
And free food and fun time and just showing our appreciation.
-
So what did I say? A reigning church.
-
Look, a serving church. Yes, you can see that because I
-
read the scripture where he said in here about using our
-
exercising our spiritual what gifts and unity.
-
OK, that was in verse 13 as well.
-
Look at all the things that are found in this Scriptures in
-
Ephesians from 11 to 14. Now let's look at verse 16.
-
There again it says from him the whole body, the church in all of
-
its various parts. There it is joined, knitted
-
firmly together. But what every joint supplies
-
when each part is working properly, causes the body to
-
grow and mature, building itself up in unselfish love.
-
So when you bring your gifts to the table, when you decide
-
you're going to serve and use the gifts that God has given
-
you, the talents that God has given you, what are you doing?
-
You are not only just being obedient to use your gift for
-
God. Your gift is now affecting
-
someone else's growth and maturity.
-
It's building the church up, right.
-
So again, your gift is now building someone else up so that
-
they can begin to mature. It's the building up of the
-
body. So when we come to serve, it's
-
not just, oh, I'm serving because they need someone in the
-
nursery. No, I'm serving so that actually
-
a Mama can get up in here and actually learn who she is as a
-
woman of God and a mom of God. And I can help nurture these
-
children because as you can see from the video, they're learning
-
who they are in Christ. These children, they're not just
-
being babysat. I mean, I was driving in the
-
car. Luna came.
-
I was driving the other day after service and I had Luna in
-
the car and Luna looked over at me and she said, now I said, I
-
always say, now what did you learn in service?
-
This is my granddaughter. What you learn in service today.
-
Well, we talked about King Samuel, but I got some questions
-
about him. This is what Luna's saying.
-
I mean, does this sound like Luna?
-
I've got some questions about him.
-
And so I'm like, oh, geez, I'm going to have to get my scholar
-
brain on here for a minute now. Samuel, you know, disobeyed God.
-
Well, what did he do? You know, I mean, and she's
-
asking me all these questions and I'm like Luna, you know, I
-
really wanted to just hear Jesus.
-
I preached that morning. So I was driving her and I was
-
still up underneath the anointing and I'm just like
-
crashed, you know, when you and y'all may not know, but yes, it
-
is a real thing. And so I'm just sitting there
-
driving, and I didn't really want to get into a full
-
discourse about Samuel. I just wanted to hear her say
-
Jesus because that's what they always usually say.
-
What did you learn about in church today, Jesus, You know,
-
Anyway, my brain hurt already. So we had this whole discussion
-
about Samuel because she was just in her mind going on about
-
all this stuff, and she was acting like this too.
-
Now I just got some questions about Samuel.
-
So what am I saying? We're teaching and getting the
-
word of God in them. It's not a Bible story to her.
-
It's real life. She she, she was saying, you
-
know, Samuel disobeyed. What did he do?
-
Because I don't want to do that. So last point, y'all holding on
-
because this is the main event. Sorry.
-
A reigning church is a glorious church, is a glorious church.
-
A reigning church is a glorious church filled with his glory,
-
filled with his power, filled with his presence, filled with
-
his spirit. The reigning church, this
-
glorious church, what does that mean?
-
Glorious? It means honorable.
-
Honorable. You know the church one day used
-
to be honorable in a community. It's honorable.
-
Holy, set apart a city on a hill, Come on for all the world
-
to what? See, a reigning church should be
-
a glorious church to where it is standing out in its community
-
that people are seeing, seeing the glory of God.
-
They're seeing the demonstrations of the power of
-
God in people's lives. So much so that if we actually
-
would look like the glorious church that he was building, we
-
would not have to run people down.
-
They would run to it because they run to the light.
-
The glory, the glory ought to be seen.
-
When people drive up on this property, they ought to
-
encounter encounter the glory of God on this property.
-
They ought to encounter the glory of God When they walk in
-
this building. They ought to encounter the
-
glory of God in our private school.
-
They ought to encounter the glory of God in our preschool.
-
Come on, they ought to encounter His glorious Church.
-
It ought. You know what that means.
-
It ought to be well known and respected for its achievements.
-
The community ought to recognize this Church is doing some
-
things. This church is actually making
-
an effect in people's lives. When we send people to that
-
church, things are happening just like them.
-
The judge wanting us to write a curriculum?
-
Come on. For parents, when the judge is
-
asking the church, see, he's recognizing there's glory there.
-
There's things that are happening there.
-
They, I mean, these people, they're the real deal.
-
These people are making things happen in their community.
-
These people are changing people's lives.
-
Come on. So the glorious church that he
-
actually is returning for the glorious church that he's
-
returning for the church set apart also means holy and
-
sinless people ought to encounter the presence of God,
-
the glory of God, the power of God when they come in here that
-
sin should not be able to stand shouldn't be shouldn't be able
-
to stand up in the household of God and in the House of God.
-
People just living in their sin, especially believers living in
-
sin. It ought not be it ought not be.
-
Ephesians 5 and 27 says this, that he might present to himself
-
the church and what all of her say it again, having no spot or
-
wrinkled or any such thing, but that she would be holy and
-
blameless. Holy and blameless, spotless.
-
This is what he's returning for. Listen, he is not returning for
-
this world. He is not returning for all the
-
sinners. He's not returning for the lost.
-
He's returning for His beautiful, glorious church,
-
reigning church, His beautiful bride that he's been preparing
-
to be holy and separated and set apart for him so that he can
-
come receive her and set up his Kingdom.
-
Hallelujah, a glorious church, a glorious church.
-
Ephesians 14 says this. Just as in His love He chose us,
-
in Christ, He actually selected us for Himself as His own before
-
the foundations of the world, so that we would be holy, that is,
-
consecrated, set apart for Him, purpose driven and blameless in
-
His sight. In love He chose us to be a part
-
of His glorious body, to be a part of His church.
-
Every single one of us who have called on His name.
-
The Holy Spirit drew you in. The Holy Spirit chose you.
-
Come on, He called you to participate and be a part of His
-
glorious church that He is building in the earth.
-
And how can we not make a decision to not say, I will
-
completely consecrate myself to be set afar, set apart for His
-
purpose and for what He wants to do in my life in the earth?
-
It says Romans 323 says this. For we have all sinned, and we
-
came short of what? See, we came short of that
-
glory. You know what the I said the
-
glory is, is His presence. When Adam fell, the glory
-
departed. When Adam sinned and disobeyed
-
God, the presence of God, the glory of God departed from him.
-
And every since then he's been trying to get His presence back
-
in man, His glory back in man. Because He designed us to be
-
glorious. He designed us to house His
-
presence. That's why He would come down in
-
the tent. Come on, His glory was housed in
-
there. That's why he would come down in
-
the temple. But His greatest pleasure and
-
desire was to get man back fully into a place of housing the
-
presence and the glory of God within man again.
-
And that's why he says in Second Corinthians that we are now what
-
the temple of God, the temple of the Holy Spirit.
-
This is what He wanted for his man.
-
Isaiah 43, seven says this. Everyone that is called by my
-
name, I have created him for my glory.
-
I have formed him and I have made him.
-
I created him for my glory. I created him for my presence.
-
I created him. Oh, to house the presence of God
-
so that he would never have to be separated from us again.
-
The temple of the presence of God.
-
The temple of the Spirit. Look at, look at Second
-
Chronicles. I've only got, come on, three
-
more scriptures. Y'all can hold on, See a lot of
-
movement. Come on, press in, lean in.
-
We're almost done. Second Chronicles 511 through
-
14. It says this when the priest
-
came out of the holy place, for all the priests who were present
-
had sanctified themselves, separating themselves from every
-
unclean without regard to their assigned divisions.
-
All of the Levitical singers with their sons and relatives,
-
clothed in fine lemon linen with cymbals, harps, leers, were
-
standing at the East End of the altar, and with them the 120
-
priests blowing their trumpets in unison.
-
When the trumpets and singers were make were to make
-
themselves heard with one voice praising and thanking God, and
-
when they raised their voices accompanied by the trumpets and
-
the symbols and other instruments of music.
-
When they praise the Lord, saying for he is good and his
-
mercy and loving kindness endure forever.
-
Then the House of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so that the
-
priest could not even remain standing to minister, because
-
the cloud for the glory, the brilliance of the Lord filled
-
the House of God. And we now are those houses, we
-
are now those that have this treasure, he says in Second
2 Corinthians 4 chapter mention
-
Corinthians chapter 4, This treasure hidden, Come on in
-
earthen vessels. We house the presence, the
-
power, and the glory of God. That's why when people see us,
-
they ought to see us shining like Moses when he went up on
-
the mountain. Come on, they ought to not see
-
our faces frowning. They not ought to not see our
-
faces crunched up, you know, and, and, and oppressed.
-
Come on, they ought to see us glowing with the glory of God
-
upon our life in the plight of God shining through us.
-
And it's only going to happen if we recognize it and have
-
revelation that I'm a carrier of his glory.
-
And he always going to happen if we'll get into his presence like
-
Moses did when he went up on the mountain for 40 days and had to
-
hide his face when he came down because the glory of God was
-
just so shining on his life. Come on, isn't that what you
-
want your life to look like and represent?
-
That everywhere you go people see the glory on you?
-
Come on, everywhere they go, everywhere you go, that you're
-
bringing the presence of God. I bring the presence of God
-
almost daily into Black Molly, and they know it and they're
-
getting it. Hallelujah.
-
We're carriers of the greatest thing on the planet and he's
-
coming back for this glorious church that has all of these
-
things operating in our lives. Come on, 2nd Corinthians 318.
-
Listen, you think you don't think you're supposed to be
-
glowing? Look at this 2nd Corinthians
-
318. It says this and we all with
-
unveiled face continually seen as in a mirror, the glory, say
-
the glory of the Lord, the glory of the Lord, and you are
-
progressively being transformed into His image.
-
Here it is. Here it is from 1° of glory to
-
another, from 1° of glory to another.
-
This glory ought to be multiplying in your life.
-
It ought to be increasing in your life.
-
Listen, one that is growing spiritually, one that is
-
maturing, one that is allowing God to equip them.
-
You ought to see a progression of your life coming from
-
brokenness into gloriousness. From 1°.
-
What does that mean? From 1° of glory?
-
To another degree, that means the presence and the actual
-
power of God ought to be increasing in your life.
-
The anointing of God that is in your life ought to be
-
increasing. You should not, I'm telling you,
-
you should not be the same old, same old as you were last year.
-
If His power and presence is increasing in your life, it
-
ought to be evident. People are like, she's got a new
-
step on her. You know, I never heard.
-
I don't even hear her complaining like she used to
-
complain. Oh, I don't even see her having
-
an emotional little breakdown like she used to because they're
-
recognizing you're getting into the glory.
-
You know what I recognize? She ain't bringing another guy
-
up in this church. She actually might know she's
-
the beloved and he loves her before any other man can love
-
her. Oh, because I recognize, come
-
on, every year being changed from the presence and the power
-
of God increasing in my life, going from 1° of glory to
-
another Hallelujah. Y'all are not even as more
-
exciting. Y'all ought to be running around
-
this church acting like I'm a Houser of the glory of God.
-
I'm a carrier of His power and His presence.
-
Come on and see, you don't have revelation of it, but we're
-
going to get it because I'm praying for you.
-
This has been my prayer for the church this year, that they'll
-
actually get a revelation of what they're carrying.
-
Because when you have a revelation of what you're
-
carrying, nothing else, nothing else is going to hinder you and
-
stop you. Come on.
-
Nothing else. Glory to God.
-
Last Scripture, Revelation. Well, last scripture that has
-
seven verses included. Sorry.
-
I just realized it wasn't just one scripture.
-
Y'all know me I don't ever just read 1 scripture.
-
Revelations y'all. I am the amplified Bible right?
-
Revelations 21 one through 8. This is our last scriptures.
-
It says this. And then I saw a new heaven and
-
a new earth, for the 1st heaven and the first earth have passed
-
away, vanished, and there was no longer any sea.
-
And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of
-
heaven from God, arrayed like a bride adorned for her husband.
-
Come on, He is preparing his glorious bride in this last day,
-
His reigning church. He's preparing her.
-
And she's going to look out of this world.
-
She's going to be the knockout. Come on, she's going to be the
-
one everybody wish they had. This pride that's being
-
prepared. I don't know what you're looking
-
at, but I'm looking at the word of God to see because I cannot
-
let my eyes deceive me. And it says in verse 3.
-
And then I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, see, the
-
Tabernacle of God is among men, and he will live among them, and
-
they will be his people, and God himself will be them as their
-
God. And he will wipe away every tear
-
from every hour. There will no longer be death.
-
There will no longer be sorrow and anguish, crying or pain.
-
All the former older things have passed away and he, he who sits
-
on the throne said, behold, I am making all things new.
-
Come on this, say it to your feet.
-
This is the cry of my heart this year.
-
Oh that he is making all things new.
-
Come on, that we would look like this glorious church, this
-
reigning church that is on display for the world to see.
-
And our lives, lives will be proof.
-
It will be evidence of the power and the presence and the glory
-
of God within each and every one of our lives.
-
That when they see you, they see the glory.
