  1. So today we're in finding your fit.

  2. The third installment is called the Appointment.

  3. So I want to start over here in Matthew chapter 16 verses 16 to

    Matthew 16:16–19

  4. 19 and it says this Simon Peter answered and said you are the

  5. Christ, the Son of the living God.

  6. And Jesus said to him, Blessed are you Simon Barjona, because

  7. flesh and blood did not reveal this to you.

  8. But my Father in heaven, I also say to you that you are Peter,

  9. and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of

  10. Hades, or hell will not overpower it.

  11. I'll give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven, and whatever

  12. you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and

  13. whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in

  14. heaven. This is a key text for us

  15. because Jesus has asked his disciples, who do people say

  16. that we are, or who is talking about me?

  17. And what are they saying about me?

  18. Who are they attributing me as being?

  19. And they obviously communicated Elijah, Jeremiah, one of the

  20. prophets. Then after he says, OK, that's

  21. what everyone else says about me.

  22. Who do you say that I am? And Peter says you are the

  23. Christ. Now Christ is obviously not his

  24. last name. We know here at Anchorage Church

  25. that means it is his title. He is the King.

  26. It is a Greek equivalent to the Hebrew word Messiah is the

  27. anointed one in his anointing. It is the King that Israel is

  28. waiting to come who will set up his Kingdom and have no end.

  29. And so this is the revelation that Peter had, that he is the

  30. Christ, You're the king. You are the long anticipated

  31. prophesied king that we knew was coming.

  32. You're the one. And Jesus says flesh and blood

  33. has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven, he's

  34. the one who brought you that revelation.

  35. Then he goes on and says this, that you're blessed.

  36. He's called him Peter. But he said upon the rock or the

  37. revelation that I am the Christ, I'm the King, I will build my

  38. church. And as we have said before here

  39. in this 18th verse, Jesus never delegated the building of the

  40. church to the pastor, the apostle, the prophet, the

  41. evangelist, or the teacher. Jesus right now, seated at the

  42. right hand of the Father, is actively involved in building

  43. his church. Jesus is, I like to say Jesus is

  44. this the greatest micromanager on the planet.

  45. Now, that's not a popular term in corporate world.

  46. Don't micromanage me. Don't be looking over my

  47. shoulder. But the Bible tells us that

  48. every idle word will give an account.

  49. So although Jesus may not be checking in with you every day

  50. about your life per SE, it doesn't mean he doesn't know

  51. exactly what you're doing and why you're doing what you're

  52. doing and with what motive you're doing what you're doing.

  53. He knows it all and he is meticulous.

  54. That is not to scare you, not to intimidate you.

  55. It really, if you understand, Scripture should make you say,

  56. yes, thank you God. Because when the day comes that

  57. you stand before the reward seed of Jesus, the judgment, the seat

  58. of Christ, then God will never miss one ounce of your faith to

  59. reward you for your faithfulness.

  60. There's nothing done to you. Whatever that has happened in

  61. your life that you've done it by faith, you will receive an open

  62. reward. And crowns are credited to your

  63. account eternally. Hallelujah.

  64. But he is managing the building of the church.

  65. He is the chief architect. He is the one that is doing it

  66. all. I as an apostle or pastor within

  67. the body as that gift, my wife as a pastor and functions in the

  68. profit office are a gift in the body.

  69. We also have teachers here. We have evangelists here.

  70. Those that function in those giftings are just doing their

  71. part. It's not our church, it's His

  72. church. And we are functioning as those

  73. gifts in the body to help equip the Saints so that all of us can

  74. come together as a team and accomplish something great

  75. together. We're all just doing our part.

  76. Amen. Of which Jesus is the head of

  77. the church. And we know it's about his

  78. Kingdom because he said, I'll give you the keys of the

  79. Kingdom, that whatever we bind on earth shall have been bound

  80. in heaven. Whatever he loosed on earth

  81. shall have been loosed in heaven.

  82. The Bible's about a king, his Kingdom and his royal offspring.

  83. And we are in the greatest powerful move of God on the

  84. planet today. It's called the dispensation of

  85. His church. This is why you want to eat,

  86. breathe and drink His church even when you're not here.

  87. You want to think about it because it's where you are

  88. assigned. It's where you are appointed,

  89. it's where you're being. It's it's in Him.

  90. We live and move and have our being.

  91. Amen. So as much as when I'm by myself

  92. fellowshipping and worshipping Jesus Christ, it's never without

  93. this mentality that I am worshipping the head of the

  94. church. And I'm thankful for His church,

  95. and I'm thankful for the body of Christ, and I'm thankful for

  96. brothers and sisters. That I'm not in this earth doing

  97. it alone, doing it by myself, having to do it solo.

  98. That there's others that I can lock arms with, that I'm jointed

  99. and fitted with, and that we can take the message of the gospel

  100. of the Kingdom in our community, to our families, to our

  101. workplace, to our government, throughout our community, our

  102. state, our nation, and into the world.

  103. We're going to do our part Hallelujah.

  104. Well, that should just get you excited that God has hand picked

  105. you. And today you'll see you are

  106. hand picked by God. Amen.

  107. In John chapter 6 verse 44, it says no one can come to me

    John 6:44

  108. unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him

  109. up on the last day. Now this is really significant

  110. because we know for anyone to be born again, they first have to

  111. be drawn. In fact, the Bible tells us that

  112. all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

  113. And no man goes after God. No, not one.

  114. If the Father did not go after us, we would never go after him.

  115. Which means we were on a hopeless path that had no hope

  116. and we weren't even pursuing hope.

  117. We were incapable by our nature to even find hope.

  118. And even if we were trying to get to what we were defining as

  119. a God or God, it was in filthy rags.

  120. It was not of anything holy or righteous and we were running

  121. down the wrong Rd. However, when the Father does

  122. start to speak man, we need to listen because those

  123. opportunities as merciful and as long-suffering as He as He is,

  124. they still have a time frame. Because if you read the book of

  125. Romans chapter one, there is a pursuit that God has with man.

  126. But when man completely and continually rejects him through

  127. the process of him clearly identify himself to them, and

  128. they reject Him and reject Him and reject Him and reject Him

  129. and reject Him, knowing it's Him but choosing not to yield to

  130. Him, it says that He will give them over to their depraved

  131. mind. And at that point God no longer

  132. pursues and there's no longer hope in Romans chapter 1.

    Romans 1 chapter mention

  133. So when the Lord is speaking and drawing man, that's the time to

  134. answer. Don't be hoping or thinking

  135. there's another occasion you want to leap at the moment

  136. because the The thing is, is that although we know God's

  137. long-suffering and merciful, it would be more compelling for

  138. people to yield to the opportunity than just think, Oh,

  139. I got more time. Amen.

  140. Now God can't make them, we can't make them, but we do want

  141. them to know. If the Lord's been talking to

  142. you, man, you really need to answer.

  143. In John chapter 6 verse 65, it says this.

    John 6:65

  144. And he was saying for this reason I have said to you that

  145. no one can come to me unless it has been granted Him from the

  146. Father. Wow, isn't that amazing?

  147. So again, it is God always pursuing us with his love for us

  148. and through that love he's pursued us.

  149. This is why Jesus said to math to Peter in Matthew 16.

  150. He said flesh and blood has not revealed this to you.

  151. Father's talking to you. And because the Father is

  152. talking to you, Son, you're blessed, and you're hearing from

  153. heaven because it's a big deal that Dad's talking, Amen.

  154. I said, it's a big deal that Dad is talking.

  155. So when God calls, we want to run to him, Amen.

  156. And why is he calling us? Well, we see here in Ephesians

    Ephesians 2:4–10

  157. chapter 2 verses 4 to 10, Jesus again said I will build my

  158. church. He says go into all the world

  159. and make disciples that's enlist as pupils.

  160. Those are those that are going to come into the body of Christ

  161. that need to be trained or equipped according to Ephesians

  162. 4 for the work of the ministry. Again, Jesus did not say go into

  163. all the world, make converts so that they'll know where they'll

  164. go when they die or they'll know they'll go to heaven when they

  165. die. He said no, make disciples.

  166. Disciples first have to be converted, but they're not the

  167. only stay converted. They are to become discipled and

  168. disciple means you have to bring them to the house, to the family

  169. of God where the training takes place, where a whole new way of

  170. living becomes your reality because you're not of this

  171. world, just like he's not of this world.

  172. But look at here in Ephesians 2. You know it starting in verse 4,

  173. it says, but God being rich in mercy because of his great love

  174. with which he loved us even when we were dead in our

  175. transgressions, made us alive together with Christ.

  176. By grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated

  177. us with him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  178. Hallelujah, so that in the ages to come, so that in the ages to

  179. come, ages, not just the next age, but ages to come, He might

  180. show the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness towards us

  181. in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been

  182. saved. How?

  183. Through faith. It was faith that activated the

  184. grace so that you could become born again.

  185. Then it says that and that not of yourself.

  186. It is a gift of God, not as a result of works, meaning your

  187. independent work of God without Him drawing you.

  188. You were establishing what criteria you could do and God

  189. would accept you as righteous, holy and just.

  190. You cannot do that. So it's not of your own works or

  191. any of your personal works so that you can boast before God.

  192. Verse 10 though, so we are saved by grace through faith.

  193. Why? Verse 10?

  194. For we are His workmanship. Why are we born again or created

  195. in Christ? Because when you're born again,

  196. you've been created in Christ. You are a new creature in Christ

  197. that is born again. OK, so why are we?

  198. We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for purpose.

  199. That's the purpose for for us to go to heaven, for us to know

  200. that when we die we'll be with him forever, for us to be free

  201. from our guilt. Now you're going to get have all

  202. of those, but it's for good works, say Amen.

  203. It's for good works. OK, which put that back up.

  204. Which God prepared when beforehand.

  205. Now before you were in Christ or created in Christ, He had

  206. something prepared for you. He has something prepared.

  207. You understand the way you living like a hellion doesn't

  208. change what He has prepared for you.

  209. It hasn't changed His opinion about it.

  210. He just needs you to get with Him.

  211. He needs you to see it as He sees it.

  212. He needs you to agree with Him, to yield to Him, to submit to

  213. Him, to let the Creator release all that He has for you to do in

  214. the earth before you ever go. So you were created in Christ

  215. for good works which got prepared beforehand so that you

  216. would what, Walk in them, not hope about them?

  217. Wish one day you could do something significant for God.

  218. When we finally get to the sweet, by and by I'll be able to

  219. do something for God. No, these are now.

  220. This is what comes with being in the church, right?

  221. He wants us to assemble because the architect has a design for

  222. everybody so that he can appoint you to your assignment, so that

  223. you can accomplish what he has prepared for you.

  224. Are you hearing me, man? That ought to get you really

  225. excited. Amen.

  226. So he has prepared something for you, I said.

  227. He has prepared something for you.

  228. Glory to God, He has prepared something for you.

  229. He knows your assignment. He knows you're fit.

  230. He knows what you're destined to do.

  231. Now, if we just go back to Genesis, we can see in the

  232. beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

  233. Pretty two big words, heavens, earth.

  234. There's a lot in the heavens. We started breaking down each

  235. individual thing that is contained within the heavens.

  236. Then just the earth. There's a lot going on in planet

  237. earth. Well, then we start to see that

  238. He starts talking about days and He starts describing some of

  239. these things that He says God said, let there be.

  240. And notice everything that He spoke had purpose.

  241. The giraffes have a purpose, the whales have a purpose, the birds

  242. have a purpose. Are you hearing what I'm saying?

  243. And all of those are to stay within those purposes.

  244. In fact, creation does not argue with God about coming out of the

  245. place that He has appointed it. He even said to the ocean, This

  246. is how far you come, and you don't come any forth.

  247. I have appointed you to come here, but I have not appointed

  248. you to go there. Are you hearing me?

  249. He has appointed trees to live on land.

  250. He has appointed things because the Creator is not is the

  251. Creator by design. He knows how they'll produce the

  252. best fruit and accomplish the purpose by which he has assigned

  253. them. But then we get to Genesis 126

  254. and it says, then God said, let us make man in our image

  255. according to our likeness, and let them have dominion.

  256. Glory to God. We are to have dominion over the

  257. fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, over the cattle, over

  258. every creeping thing that creeps on the earth and over all the

  259. earth. So that was man's purpose.

  260. It's his fit, it's his destiny, it's his God-given right because

  261. God gave him the right with his word.

  262. Amen. Hallelujah.

  263. And so we should aspire to be in the place or the proper domain

  264. or abode by which He has appointed us.

  265. Is where God has appointed you serious?

  266. Who had the first thought then to leave their fit in the

  267. Kingdom of God for another, they were not created to feel.

  268. Isaiah 14, Isaiah 14. There is this anointed cherub.

  269. God has created the angelic realm, He has assigned them you.

  270. We read. Eloise read to us this morning

  271. of the of the Seraphim's that are flying around the throne

  272. right now. It is their purpose, their fit

  273. in the Kingdom. And they do this without ever

  274. growing tired of saying holy, holy, holy is the Lord God

  275. Almighty. They were created for that fit

  276. in the Kingdom. God saw it fitting that they

  277. would do this for eternity. Hallelujah.

  278. And they are prospering in their assignment.

  279. And what they've been appointed to do.

  280. But in Isaiah chapter 14, we read of an anointed cherub that

    Isaiah 14 chapter mention

  281. decided they didn't want to stay where God assigned them or where

  282. he appointed them. And it says you.

  283. It says how you have fallen from heaven, O morn, our star of the

  284. morning, sun of the dawn. You have been cut down to the

  285. earth and you have weakened the nations.

  286. Why? What did this anointed chair?

  287. We know who this is. King James calls him Lucifer,

  288. OK? We call him Satan, it says.

  289. But you said in your heart, I have a different fit.

  290. There's a place I want to fit in instead of what God appointed me

  291. for. Up until this point, Heaven

  292. realm and Earth realm has no problems.

  293. No problems, no issues. No sin has been acted on.

  294. Notice this sin that originated from pride is all because the

  295. one created wanted to define to the creator where I fit in.

  296. He said no, I'm not going to do this.

  297. I know you appointed me here to do this, but you know what?

  298. I got another throne I'm going for.

  299. Come on, it got it's getting quiet.

  300. OK, but this anointed cherub who was without sin beautiful.

  301. The Bible says says though that there the beauty of this

  302. creation that God had made this particular cherub was something

  303. amazing. And they get corrupted for one

  304. reason, because they want to be fitted where they were never

  305. appointed. But you said in your heart, I

  306. will ascend to heaven. I'll raise my throne above the

  307. stars of God. I will sit on the mount of the

  308. assembly in the recesses of the north.

  309. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds.

  310. I will make myself light the most High.

  311. Nevertheless, you will be thrust down to shield in the recesses

  312. of the pit. And because he wanted to be self

  313. appointed instead of God appointed sin, chaos was

  314. created. He's not the only one that had

  315. this issue of staying in his fit.

  316. Look at Jude chapter one verse 6.

  317. In Jude chapter one verse 6 it says in the angels who did not

  318. keep their own domain but abandoned their proper abode.

  319. He has kept an eternal bonds under darkness for the judgement

  320. of the great day. Many scholars believe these are

  321. the angels that came to lie with the sons of men.

  322. They left their proper abode. They ended up moving into a

  323. realm they were never fitted to be nor appointed.

  324. And what is the cost of being in a fit you are never destined to

  325. be in? I'll give you a human being.

  326. So God appointed a man named Moses.

  327. He said, Moses, go set my people free and bring them into the

  328. land flowing with milk and honey.

  329. You do this and so he in obedience to God goes to Egypt

  330. much trials and tribulations and challenges.

  331. However, he accomplishes by the power of God and delivers the

  332. nation of Israel out of Egypt into the wilderness.

  333. While he's in the wilderness, you understand there are others

  334. that are hearing God's voice and a particular individual by the

  335. name of Kora decided that he wanted the position.

  336. Moses had God love Cora, where Cora was fitted, where he was

  337. appointed, where he was designed within the community of the

  338. Israelites. However, Cora had stirred up

  339. some others and said, Nah, I can hear God too.

  340. I'm not going to listen to this guy anymore.

  341. I'm going to do more. In fact, I'm kind of tired of

  342. what how this thing's going down.

  343. Maybe I'll just take a group back to Egypt with me.

  344. So Moses says, 5. Let's see who God has appointed.

  345. So bring you little fire pans out right.

  346. We're going to let God come and show.

  347. And he says the core. Now, if you die a natural death,

  348. all right, guess what? I'm not the guy.

  349. But if you die some crazy way, then everyone's going to know

  350. that God has appointed me for this physician.

  351. And you're trying to fit yourself somewhere God never

  352. intended you to be. Well, we know the next day that

  353. it didn't bode well that it says of these individuals, these are

  354. the only ones recorded that he and his family went alive down

  355. into SHIELD. They did not drop dead the the

  356. ground opened up and swallowed them alive in front of the

  357. congregation. The only reason that they went

  358. alive down into the grave, and I'm not talking into Abraham's

  359. bosom, OK, is because they wanted to be appointed in a

  360. position they were never designed for, never designed.

  361. Are you hearing what I'm saying? So this should cause us when it

  362. comes to the church to really lean in to the Spirit of God and

  363. say, Lord, what's my fit? What's my fit?

  364. Because man, when you're doing what God's called you to do,

  365. man, you're doing the best you. No one can do anything better

  366. than you. The greatest assignment is doing

  367. the assignment, period. John 1516 says it this way.

  368. Jesus said you did not choose me, but I chose you, and I

  369. appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your

  370. fruit would remain so that whatever you ask the Father in

  371. my name, he may give it to you. Now notice not everyone in this

  372. room will be appointed to be a pastor, will be appointed to be

  373. an evangelist, will be appointed to be an apostle, will be

  374. appointed to be a teacher or prophet.

  375. In fact, the majority will not be appointed for those

  376. particular gifts. So there are other assignments

  377. or appointments and if you will be in the place he appoints you,

  378. then you are is just as successful as anyone in any fit

  379. and you should never allow your thinking go to I wish I could do

  380. what because that will not that does not originate from God.

  381. God, when you start out in a church somewhere and you begin a

  382. a particular appointment, it may not be where you ultimately end

  383. up, but it will be God ordained. It will be a blessing to the

  384. body. It will strengthen the church

  385. Every time you are promoted in whatever it is you've been

  386. appointed, it will be a blessing to the body, to the church.

  387. It will not take from the church.

  388. It will only act add to the church.

  389. It will only strengthen the church.

  390. It will only make the church stronger.

  391. Why? Because God is not going to

  392. cause a gap to happen and leave us with a deficiency.

  393. The Lord is appointing us into places so that when we come

  394. together, we're all doing our part.

  395. And yet, you know, the world has been pretty successful at

  396. accomplishing these things, has been pretty successful at

  397. accomplishing these things. And as a result of that, you

  398. know, they are able to accomplish great things.

  399. Businesses are able to accomplish great things because,

  400. you know, somebody may not have this presence on social media

  401. and cannot talk to people. Well, those are not the people

  402. that we're putting in on our public relations, but they may

  403. be great at math, they may be great at structuring.

  404. And so they put people. And the reality is, why do they

  405. all do this? So that the company profits, so

  406. that they all benefit and receive a greater blessing.

  407. And the world does this all the time.

  408. We see this in athletics, period, period.

  409. Tony, stand up. Would you stand up?

  410. Tony is a national champion, national champion with college

  411. football, 1999, Florida State University won the national

  412. championship. He was on that team.

  413. All right, now Tony has slimmed down a little bit since he was

  414. on the team. Tony was not the quarterback.

  415. Now, Can you imagine Tony going to Coach Bowden and saying,

  416. look, how much? What was your playing weight,

  417. 285, Man, you were small compared to today, right?

  418. Back then that was something different.

  419. But today that's OK. And what position did you play?

  420. Defensive tackle. OK, 285 defensive tackle.

  421. Can you imagine if he went to Coach Bobby Bowd and he said,

  422. look, coach, I'm feeling like quarterback today.

  423. I'm feeling it now. Coach, Coach Bowd, may, you

  424. know, play along for me and says, well, how you know?

  425. Can you throw the ball? You know, he might play around a

  426. little bit. How many games have you played

  427. quarterback? How many games have you played

  428. quarterback? Yeah, babe.

  429. OK, Now, here's the thing. In the news conference, there's

  430. not a whole lot of conversation happening with the defensive

  431. tackle, but there's a lot of conversation happening with the

  432. quarterback. Are you hearing what I'm saying?

  433. But yet, does he care? What?

  434. Who was yours? Quarterback Chris Winky.

  435. Do you really matter if they're talking to Chris Winky and

  436. you're putting on a ring too? Not at all.

  437. Thank you. You can be seated.

  438. The point is, is that we have allowed the lust of the world or

  439. the lust of Satan try to show up in the organization of the

  440. church and get us out of our appointed position.

  441. Cause again, listen, Jesus says you didn't choose me.

  442. He's like, look now you wouldn't even be in the church if Dad

  443. wouldn't have come talking. If Dad would not have come and

  444. started speaking to you, you wouldn't even be in the family.

  445. He's merciful and he wanted you in the position of dominion and

  446. wanted you in the family and wanted you with the nature of

  447. God. Now Dad's going to tell you

  448. where you sit at the table. Are you hearing me?

  449. And you understand when we begin to look at other positions

  450. within the body or our appointments and we begin to

  451. like man I if you're not destined, do not want and if you

  452. are, then you let God appoint and assign.

  453. I'll never forget when I went on staff at Water Life Fellowship,

  454. Pastor David EMI asked me point blank.

  455. He said, do you believe that you are called to pastor a church?

  456. I said yes Sir, I do, absolutely.

  457. He said, well then I'll train you.

  458. I never once, never once pretended like I pastored Word

  459. of Life Fellowship. Never.

  460. I never once, never because I was not the pastor, I was the

  461. youth pastor. I never once because I was not

  462. appointed for that. So when decisions were being

  463. made, I didn't say, well, if I was never entertained that

  464. thought, I knew that was demonic.

  465. I said no way, not going to do that because I'm not that

  466. person. He is and he has information he

  467. has inside. He has things that I have no

  468. access to and even what extra access I have because I'm on

  469. staff that the Saints in the congregation have no concept of.

  470. I'll never ever say if I was now when I examined his example, I

  471. would say these Lord, when you release me, that is something to

  472. follow. Lord, when you release me, I

  473. don't know what happened there. I'm going to need you to train

  474. me that where I'm at because I was so lost in his vision.

  475. I did not have a vision to pastor.

  476. I was youth pastor. In fact, God had a kind of, hey,

  477. we're done here, it's time to move because that's how focused

  478. I was on the vision of word of life fellowship.

  479. And if it wasn't for God, I'd be there today, the one for God,

  480. I'd be there today, Amen. You understand this in Romans

  481. 11, I, they don't have this verse.

  482. It came up in my spirit as I was coming up in Romans 11/29.

  483. It says for the gifts and callings of God are without

  484. repentance. The amplified says it this way.

  485. For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable.

  486. He never withdraws them when once they are given.

  487. And He does not change his mind about those to whom He gives His

  488. grace or to whom He sends His call.

  489. So again, before you came into the Kingdom of God, He already

  490. prepared what He wants you to be appointed to do in His church.

  491. Why? Because God knew you were going

  492. to be born during the church age.

  493. You weren't born during the Old covenant.

  494. You weren't born during Noah's time.

  495. You weren't born prior to know. You weren't born in those

  496. particular dispensations. God always knew you would come

  497. in the church age, and in the church age everyone is to find

  498. their fit where they're jointed and fitted together so that the

  499. community of Christ as a family can take up a vision and do

  500. something really significant together that individually you

  501. just can't carry out by yourself.

  502. God is too big for one person. He's huge and He will expand us

  503. and stretch us and cause us to believe for the impossible, but

  504. it becomes possible because all of us buy in on where we've been

  505. appointed and fitted to come together and do it with great

  506. joy, passion, unity and 1 accord.

  507. Amen. So whether or not you answer the

  508. call doesn't change that God has a call.

  509. Now the only side note to this is if you choose to not finish

  510. the call, he can assign the your work to someone else.

  511. And we've seen that when Moses to Joshua, we've seen that with

  512. Barnabas to Silas when we ministered on the message of

  513. capacity that if you do not stay doing what God's ordained you to

  514. do, unfortunately somebody could get chapters of your book that

  515. never should have left you in the 1st place.

  516. Amen. So First Corinthians 12/18 again

  517. says this, but now God has placed the members, each one of

  518. them in the body, just as he desires.

  519. Again, who desires this? Who is the appointor?

  520. He brings the appointment. Hallelujah.

  521. Miles Monroe said it this way. The greatest, greatest tragedy

  522. in life is life without purpose. And that's even for a believer

  523. to be born again and don't even know why because it's not to go

  524. to heaven when you die. That's not the why.

  525. That is just something that happens.

  526. It's a benefit. OK.

  527. The second thing he said is the greatest challenge in life is

  528. knowing what to do. And that is a challenge.

  529. Many believers are like, Lord, what do you want me to do?

  530. But here's the thing, the Bible tells us that if you seek him,

  531. you'll find him. So if you want to know what he's

  532. asking you to do, he will let you know.

  533. In fact, he's obligated because you are created in Christ Jesus

  534. for good works which will prepare for you beforehand that

  535. you should walk in them. He's obligated to tell you why

  536. you're born again and what your assignment is, why he's

  537. appointed you within the body of Christ.

  538. OK, and so God is the one who desires this.

  539. He is the one who pulled you out of darkness and he's the one

  540. who's doing the placement. Again, a couple of translations

  541. we saw last week was but in fact, God has arranged the

  542. members. This is the Berean standard

  543. Bible of the body, every one of them according to his design,

  544. Young's literal translation said.

  545. And now God did set the members, each one of them in the body

  546. according as he willed. Many times people will come and

  547. say, well, we're coming trying to church out to see if this is

  548. where we need to be. Well, you don't need to try it.

  549. You need that pray. I mean, you know, sometimes

  550. people come across so spiritual. I'm like, well, you should

  551. already have the answer if you're that spiritual because if

  552. you're that in tune with God, he would have told you before you

  553. even showed up. Seeing it shouldn't confirm

  554. whether or not you're supposed to be assigned, because if

  555. you're trying to confirm it through sight.

  556. I'm convinced that some churches within rural areas have God

  557. appointed people that the only reason those churches are are

  558. are not as successful as God intended is because the families

  559. went. But because they didn't see what

  560. they wanted, they went to a larger congregation already

  561. providing when they were the answer to that congregation so

  562. it could provide. Because we've turned the church

  563. in. You serve me well.

  564. The church is not about God. Where do you want me?

  565. I mean, this is the John F Kennedy deal.

  566. Don't ask your country what it can do for you.

  567. Ask your what you can do for your country.

  568. I mean, what can you do for the church, for the Kingdom of God?

  569. He's already laid down his life to give you access and he has a

  570. fit for you, an appointment for you, a place for you, a design

  571. for you so that you can have the the most exciting life on the

  572. planet because you're doing exactly what you're called to do

  573. and why you're breathing. Miles Monroe went on to say the

  574. greatest mistake in life is being busy and not effective.

  575. And I believe there's a lot of Christians in church

  576. congregations they were never appointed to be a part of and

  577. they're being busy but not effective.

  578. And the Bible bears this out, that there will be a day before

  579. the Lord that if you're doing things that he has not appointed

  580. you to do, it is wood, hay and stubble.

  581. I mean I didn't write the scripture.

  582. Jesus puts you in the body where it pleases him.

  583. There is no self appointment. None.

  584. It's where he appointed or you yielded to it and it's the best

  585. place you could ever be. The last thing he said was just

  586. the greatest failure in life is being successful in the wrong

  587. assignment. And if we don't watch out,

  588. especially in the last of the last days because of seducing

  589. spirits and doctrines of demons, the enemy is going to be able to

  590. take believers and put them in places where they really are

  591. fitted in religious moles looking like they're being very

  592. successful because it's become more of a social order and not

  593. necessarily a spirit LED order. And finance is actually

  594. accomplishing tasks, not the Spirit of God.

  595. And they are feeling the success of that, but they have actually

  596. failed because they're not where they're supposed to be.

  597. Psalms 13913 and 16 says it this way.

  598. For you form my inward parts, you woe me in my mother's womb.

  599. You are in the dispensation of the church, not in a place of

  600. individualism. You are an individual, but

  601. you're in the dispensation of the Church, and you're in Christ

  602. for good works connected with others, to do something

  603. significant for it. For you were formed.

  604. You formed my inward parts. You wove me in my mother's womb.

  605. I give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made

  606. wonderful all your works, for my soul knows it well.

  607. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in secret and

  608. skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.

  609. Look at this powerful Your eyes have seen my unformed substance,

  610. and in your book were written all the days that were ordained

  611. for me, as when yet there were not one of them.

  612. So before you ever came in was created in Christ 4 good works

  613. that were prepared for you out of this book before you were in

  614. your mother's womb. And these callings are whether

  615. or not you accepted or not. He doesn't revoke the book.

  616. He judges you by the book. He says, did you do what I

  617. appointed you to do? And all of us were born in the

  618. earth. When the church is alive, it is

  619. like a phenomenal dispensation. Now the millennial reign will be

  620. even greater than this one. This one's powerful.

  621. I mean, David long for this type of experience.

  622. I mean, he had the Holy Spirit come upon him but leave him.

  623. But none of the Israelites had that ability to touch or have

  624. God touch them. We have the Holy Ghost on the

  625. inside of us. We are the temple of the Holy

  626. Ghost. I can just hear the patriarch

  627. saying, man, God lives in you. Your nature is alive.

  628. You can assemble and walk in love and unity.

  629. You have everything you need. You can renew your mind.

  630. Like, wow, what a dispensation. You're doing the same work Jesus

  631. did, all of you. A bunch of little Jesus is

  632. running around. Can you imagine them standing

  633. over champion us? Like come on guys, if we only

  634. had that when we were alive. Wow, now you know we going to be

  635. talking like this to Saints that are in the flesh during the

  636. millennial reign 'cause we'll be in glorified bodies.

  637. Like, bro, you don't even have the devil on the earth.

  638. Seriously. Right now Jesus is alive, seated

  639. on the throne in Jerusalem. You can go touch him.

  640. And you're telling me you can't do this right?

  641. It's like, and then when he releases the devil at the end

  642. and you're like, you're going to abandon Jesus.

  643. I mean, the church age is amazing, but nothing compared to

  644. the millennial reign. And yet still Saints will fail,

  645. man will fail. We are living at the greatest

  646. moment ever in history of which God is saying to us, look, I'm

  647. telling you right now, I have ordained for you.

  648. I've ordained for you before you ever came, and I've placed you

  649. in the age of the church. And listen, when I said I'll put

  650. you in the body where it pleases me, it's because in that place

  651. that I plant you, it is where you'll grow.

  652. It is where you'll receive instruction.

  653. It's where you'll receive correction so that you maintain

  654. unity and walk in love. And never does He ever want us

  655. to fall back. A righteous man may fall 7

  656. times, but he what? Because we say let's get up.

  657. Let's do this thing. We don't say well it's OK to

  658. stay down, you can still be with us.

  659. No, let's get up, let's move forward because we've been

  660. ordained for something bigger than ourselves because God has

  661. called us. And you know what?

  662. We didn't lose ourselves in the context that we don't exist.

  663. We're still an individual. Our gifts are coming out.

  664. We need thank God for Patricia here in the Holy Ghost today and

  665. coming up and yielding. And look how it ushered in

  666. another wave of the anointing of God.

  667. Now, she didn't do that, but the Spirit of God did that.

  668. But it could have been anyone because again, we're just in our

  669. fit. And you know what, She's not

  670. even serving today. She's just in church.

  671. But God wanted her to serve in that capacity today.

  672. Just like on the worship team, people served in the parking

  673. lot, people served wherever you're serving, you're

  674. releasing. And to think that year after

  675. year after year after year from the middle school to 312 to now

  676. in the mall to now buying the mall, that all of a sudden, all

  677. of that selfish serving and, and, and, and work and tearing

  678. off sheetrock and painting walls and vacuuming and cutting grass

  679. and all kinds of things that we have come to do together.

  680. And feeding the homeless and feeding the National Guard and

  681. and feeding the police officers and firefighters and going to

  682. town meetings and having crusades that all of a sudden a

  683. ministry in Poland is like, we need what they have.

  684. That we didn't realize that your assignment here touched another

  685. nation. And we're just getting started

  686. because it's going to get greater, it's going to be more

  687. magnificent because we are continually allowing ourselves

  688. to grow and not be in competition, but be completing

  689. one another, complementing one another, holding each other up.

  690. But when you see someone struggling in a battle, it's

  691. like, bro, I got you, I got you. I'm a hold your arms up look, we

  692. all can get weary. Moses had the anointing to win

  693. the war with the staff, but he could only hold the staff for so

  694. long. And when that thing dropped, he

  695. wasn't even on the battlefield. It was Joshua down there

  696. stabbing the guys with the rest of them.

  697. But man, they would start coming against them when he dropped the

  698. staff. So Aaron and her said, sit down

  699. Moses, why have you do this by yourself, man, you're just a

  700. human. You're noted of God and your

  701. hands have to hold that staff. But man, we can hold your arms.

  702. And they leaned against him to where now it didn't matter if he

  703. went to muscle failure because now they had the muscles of two

  704. grown men. And they won the battle because

  705. they were at the place they were appointed.

  706. They were sighed, Everybody doing their part.

  707. I mean, there's nothing like getting up and getting around

  708. everyone who's like jacked about their part doing their

  709. assignment. Because when we do, the next

  710. thing you know is we'll look back and say, wow, look what the

  711. Lord has done. 2nd Corinthians 4, seven to 18.

  712. I know it seems long, but this is what I want you to know.

  713. Know for certain that being faithful to the appointed

  714. assignment he has for each of us will be rewarded on that day and

  715. promotion for the Millennium. Look at this in context.

  716. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the

  717. surpassing greatness of the power of God, the power will be

  718. of God, and not from ourselves. We are afflicted in every way,

  719. but not crushed, perplexed but not destroyed, persecuted but

  720. not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed, always caring

  721. about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus

  722. may all also may be manifested in our body.

  723. For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death

  724. for Jesus's sake, so that the life of Jesus may also may be

  725. manifested in our mortal bodies. Man, you're having to put down

  726. your will all the time to do that what you've been assigned

  727. to do. So death works in us, but life

  728. in you, but having the same spirit of faith according to

  729. what is written. I believe, therefore I speak.

  730. We also believe, therefore we also speak.

  731. Knowing, say knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise

  732. us also with Jesus and will present us with him.

  733. For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which

  734. is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of

  735. thanks to a bound to the glory of God.

  736. Paul said, I'm going through all kinds of stuff so that I can

  737. impart this grace to you so that you can take that grace and do.

  738. And he's talking to a church, talking to the church in

  739. Corinth. He says, therefore, do not lose

  740. heart. But though our outward man is

  741. decaying, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day.

  742. Notice this for momentarily light affliction is producing

  743. for us and eternal weight of glory far beyond comparison.

  744. Man, when you deny all that the world's trappings to try to

  745. separate you from your appointment within his body, and

  746. you say, no, I'm staying with the king, I'm staying with his

  747. church, I'm staying with the appointment.

  748. I'm staying where he is planting me.

  749. I'm staying where he has assigned me.

  750. I'm staying in the assignment. I'm going to be faithful.

  751. Listen, this momentary light affliction is producing for us

  752. an eternal weight of glory far beyond comparison.

  753. Why we look not at the things which you're seeing, but the

  754. things which are not seen. For the things which are seen or

  755. what temporal, but the things which are seen are eternal.

  756. The greatest thing in life is not having the house, the

  757. retirement, this comfortable cush life, all the cars and

  758. stuff. That's not what it's about.

  759. It's about have you done what you were appointed to do when He

  760. apprehended you and brought you into His Kingdom?

  761. Because you can have things while you're here, but they're

  762. never the object by which we are trying to pursue.

  763. We are trying to only pursue the assignment or the appointment He

  764. has for us within His Church so that when we faithfully carry

  765. that out, when we step over into eternity, then the blessings and

  766. the next assignment abounds. Because to you, this life here

  767. was temporal. This is not the best and I do

  768. not hotly pursue what it has to offer.

  769. I will enjoy it. I will receive from it.

  770. It will give to me because I'm the child of a king.

  771. But at a moment's notice I can give it all away because none of

  772. it has me. Only one person has me.

  773. His name's King Jesus. He is my All in all.

  774. He is the apple of my eye. He is worth living my life for.

  775. He's worth my life selling everything out for.

  776. He's my worth me moving all the way around the world.

  777. Should he assign me to another country, I'll do whatever He

  778. says, because He has done all for me.

  779. And I can be guaranteed that when I do that, there awaits for

  780. me the great prize of well done, that good and faithful servant

  781. of which he wants to tell all of us on that day.

  782. But whatever I'm assigned to do, it'll never be alone, because

  783. it's assigned to the church. His name has been given to the

  784. church, so there's nowhere we can go that the church should

  785. not be there. This is the greatest thing you

  786. do every day is this body. And as we are stronger, tighter

  787. walk in love and unity, One mind 1 accord saying thank God, he's

  788. releasing my gift like this right now.

  789. Then there's no telling. So to the one that couldn't go

  790. to Poland but pulled out and said, Pastor, I'll send you.

  791. You have a reward for what they've not even done yet.

  792. You've started something because you sent the word and now it's

  793. just stirring. So much so that they figured out

  794. how to come to our country and sit in the service.

  795. You have the privilege of Wednesdays and Sundays to hear.

  796. That other pastors are aspiring to see their local bodies

  797. display what they sensed came from us.

  798. And now that they're here, they're experiencing you.

  799. And you give them hope. You strengthen their faith and

  800. it was simply because you did your appointment.

  801. A parking lot team met them today, parked them, they picked

  802. them up. They come to find us.

  803. You just blessed them. You stood up.

  804. You should always stand up when someone that's given their life

  805. in the Fivefold Ministries here, she always honored that because

  806. that's that's not a small assignment.

  807. And none, none of us could ever do those gifts without the the
