  1. In First Corinthians 1218 to 20, it says this.

  2. But now God has placed the members, each one of them.

  3. How many of them? Each one.

  4. So that includes you say that includes me.

  5. You're not left out, You're not ignored.

  6. You're not overlooked. You're not overlooked.

  7. Each one, Hallelujah, you're not overlooked ever.

  8. Each one of them in the body, just as he desires.

  9. You know, the problem with the Saints or with the body of

  10. Christ, even the fivefold ministry, is that we want to get

  11. into places that God's like. Yes, but Amen.

  12. I remember one time when I knew I was called the ministry.

  13. I was in the Baptist Church and my wife and I knew I was called,

  14. went to a particular Bible school, but you know, and I

  15. wasn't even baptized in the Holy Ghost.

  16. But it definitely, I'm not saying anything was wrong with

  17. the school at all. I just didn't stay long enough

  18. because it wasn't where the Lord wanted me.

  19. It wasn't where God wanted my foundation.

  20. And so my wife and I find ourselves back in Florida living

  21. with my mom with three children. And so I'm attending her church

  22. because again, it's my custom to be in that denomination.

  23. All right. Now in the Scripture there isn't

  24. a denomination, There's the body of Christ.

  25. All right. So really this is man made stuff

  26. that we're in, although denominations are living based

  27. upon the revelation they know in God.

  28. OK. And so I was at a place where I

  29. was hungry. I knew I was called, I'm doing

  30. what I need to do. And the particular Deacon boards

  31. at the time with the pastor, because we were a young couple

  32. in that church and there were not many.

  33. In fact, we may have been one of two, to be honest with you.

  34. So you understand they were excited to see someone young

  35. because if you don't have younger people in the church and

  36. everyone's 708090, in a few years, we know where the church

  37. will be in the natural in that location.

  38. OK. And so, you know, obviously I'm,

  39. you know, in my zeal, my young age at the time, I definitely

  40. was like, man, I believe God's called me the ministry.

  41. And they're like, great, we want to have you sit in with the

  42. youth, you know, and be a part of that.

  43. So I did what they said. I sat in with the youth's Sunday

  44. school room and spent some time there and was very excited about

  45. the opportunity to be able to do something.

  46. And so my brother, who happened to be in the youth at the time

  47. at that particular church, we would discuss things at the

  48. house and I would begin to say things that I, you know, that I

  49. believe the Lord wanted me to do once the church gave me an

  50. opportunity. Well, he ended up telling some

  51. other friends, you know, about some things I would do and they

  52. got back to the Deacon board. So I was working a particular

  53. job then. I mean, I wasn't in full time

  54. ministry. I was working actually in a

  55. place in Green Cove that had these crazy shifts where you

  56. work 7 straight days. He did seven straight days on

  57. 3rd shift, seven straight days on mid shift, and then seven

  58. straight days on morning shift. And this rotated every 28 days.

  59. It was brutal. I don't know, some of these

  60. people have done it for 30 years.

  61. I happen to be coming off a third shift.

  62. Came to church, didn't go home, didn't sleep, came to church,

  63. got called into the pastor's office.

  64. Well, this Deacon elder began to tell me about how long it took

  65. them to become ordained, you know, in the process.

  66. And I could tell that the pastor was not really excited.

  67. But you understand, that particular denomination is not

  68. overseen by the pastor but by the board.

  69. That's how it's just set up. And I could tell that he wasn't

  70. super excited. But for me, you know, it was

  71. tough. And I was like, man, you know,

  72. I'm not here to do anything but just step into whatever God

  73. wants. The reality is it almost took me

  74. as long as he said. It just wasn't through that

  75. place, and when I look back at how long it took me to get to

  76. here in April of 2004, I'm thankful because God knew what

  77. He was doing. Now when I went on from there, I

  78. went to an assembly. God church got filled with the

  79. Holy Ghost man and I. I was 25 at the time.

  80. I thought I was in my prom 252627 years old.

  81. We took a youth ministry from one.

  82. Vanessa was there and we went from 1 to 75.

  83. The church only ran 150. Half of them were youth.

  84. We were in an off campus location.

  85. We were blowing and going and in my mind you understand I'm like,

  86. I need to be full time now, right?

  87. You felt like you had all the intangibles and the pastor left

  88. and went to Ocala to get in a bigger church with more resource

  89. and I went with him even though I already knew from that

  90. location. I was called to Rhema.

  91. But in my mind I just wanted it. And I thought, man, if I don't

  92. do it now, I'll be too old. That's what 20 somethings think.

  93. You know that when you get into your 30s and 40s year old only

  94. to find out when you get there it's not.

  95. I was deceived the whole time, you understand, right now, 80 is

  96. real young. I know this and I'm not there

  97. yet. I know this.

  98. Now I'm like flip man. I might just get started at 80.

  99. I mean, Caleb's 85 conquering mouth does.

  100. I can't wait to hit 85. And what other county, our state

  101. or nation will we conquer? Hallelujah.

  102. So I realized, you know, I was young, you know.

  103. And The thing is, is that in these processes of being placed

  104. in the body where it pleases Him, we often get in the way

  105. instead of letting God develop. When we graduated from Rhema

  106. 2000, I was so tired of moving my family around.

  107. I came to Gainesville, FL to start a church only to hear the

  108. Lord say you're not ready. Wow.

  109. And I had ministered over a hunt.

  110. I mean probably close to A at least 5-6 hundred times by then.

  111. And now going to Bible school, yet he says you're not ready.

  112. Well, don't you know the Lord knows what he's talking about?

  113. Hallelujah. And again, if you don't submit

  114. to the process, more people abort their own destinies

  115. because they will not submit to the process.

  116. And again, Coach Hurley, would you stand?

  117. I appreciate you allowing me to utilize you here because he

  118. coaches, but you know, have you not had players that they

  119. wouldn't submit to the process so you just couldn't use them,

  120. not because they weren't talented.

  121. See, a lot of times it's not about whether you can.

  122. It's that you won't submit to the process to obtain.

  123. Thank you coaching. Be seated.

  124. And so we need to submit to the process because again, but now

  125. God has placed the members, each one of them in the body where

  126. just as He desires. Which tells me God is the one

  127. orchestrating your ability to be released.

  128. You can never think that someone would hinder you 'cause they

  129. cannot. In fact, in some cases they've

  130. actually may be helping you, yet you think it's a hindrance.

  131. Verse 19 if they were all one member, where would the body be?

  132. But now they they are many members, but one body.

  133. So we're not all the same. Again, this particular author by

  134. the name of Ernest Gentile said this.

  135. Why? Why stress local churches so

  136. much? Let me tell you, in our society,

  137. we do not the the world does not stress local churches.

  138. Modern day religious Christianity does not stress

  139. local churches, right? That's the church, because the

  140. enemy doesn't want local churches to be stressed, because

  141. if they are, then he knows game over and Jesus returns.

  142. Why stress local churches so much?

  143. Very simply, because the local church is the key messenger of

  144. Christ to the secular community. The people of the local church

  145. become the heart, the hands and the voice of Jesus Christ.

  146. This brilliant strategy is God's way of maintaining active

  147. spiritual life in His Saints and then through them, impacting the

  148. secular world. When the people of a community

  149. see the members of the local church body, they hopefully will

  150. see Christ. Coach Hurley could stand up

  151. again. If I had, if I wanted him to and

  152. he would let us know that. You know they are in season now,

  153. but before this season they ended up having a time of

  154. conditioning, which means his current seniors this year that

  155. have played ball with him since they were freshmen have the same

  156. conditioning that takes place every season.

  157. They do fundamentals and they do not get into their senior year

  158. and say I have arrived. You see how good of my batting

  159. average, which is now, do you understand how well my game is

  160. and you want me to take time to do fundamentals?

  161. That's for the younger ones. No, that's for all of us because

  162. the minute a mature believer refuses to go back to

  163. fundamentals, they start digressing to be immature and

  164. flesh LED again. But worse, those become deceived

  165. because they have a knowledge of the word.

  166. They will not do. Amen.

  167. Ephesians 47 But each one of us. But to each one of us, grace was

  168. given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

  169. Christ is the ultimate gift, and He's the gift giver, which means

  170. what He imparted into you came from Christ.

  171. Rolando, you are what you are today because Christ did that,

  172. not because you did it. And He and He imparted it to you

  173. in the Spirit before you, in your mother's womb, in fact,

  174. before the foundations of the world.

  175. He was waiting for this moment to release you to the planet.

  176. And the gifts and calling are without repentance now.

  177. You can run from it. You can fail to be trained

  178. adequately to release it, but you will be judged by it.

  179. Ultimately. God does not care about your

  180. 4O1K, He does not care about your degrees.

  181. He does not care about anything in this match.

  182. All He cares about did you do what He destined you to do.

  183. That's it. This life is temporary and the

  184. things that God wants to do with something amazing, but each one

  185. of us have a gift. Say I'm a gift.

  186. Come on, say I'm a gift. It's time to unwrap you then he

  187. said in Ephesians 411 and 12. And he gave some say some, not

  188. all. So not all of us can claim this.

  189. In fact, no one can claim it unless the Lord gave it and then

  190. it's a gift. Amen.

  191. No 5 fold minister earns the gift, but they can develop what

  192. has been freely given them and are required to do so.

  193. Hallelujah. I'll give you a case in point.

  194. The the talents did the master give them.

  195. So the ones receiving them did not earn them, but they were

  196. given. One was given 5, two and one.

  197. Why were they given? Because he had given them

  198. something at a time that they showed themselves faithful with

  199. what they had freely received earlier.

  200. This is why the one who had five had already received a number,

  201. most likely less, at a different time and was faithful with what

  202. he received. How do we know this?

  203. Because we know the one who obviously had been given the

  204. training to function with one, but instead of activating the

  205. training, doing the here it is. We hate this word work, which is

  206. just obeying what God says to do.

  207. He buried it and lived His way. I'm not doing what you're asking

  208. me to do. I'm doing what I want to do

  209. 'cause then when you come, I'll give you back what you gave no

  210. loss. Well, was the Master happy about

  211. receiving back with no loss? Not at all.

  212. In fact, he was upset that there was 0 gain.

  213. The master was not joyful that it wasn't stolen, that he kept

  214. it safe, that he had the same amount.

  215. No, he told that servant you're wicked and lazy.

  216. At minimum, if you were not going to get out like these

  217. other two and weren't what you've been trained in, you

  218. could have at least put it in the bank and drawn some interest

  219. off of it. So what did he do?

  220. Take the one and gave it to the one who had 10.

  221. Why is he doing that? Because the one who had five

  222. multiplied 5 and showed himself faithful working the gift that

  223. was given to him so that he could receive more.

  224. And he says those who you know are doers and receive, they'll

  225. receive even more. But those who don't do even what

  226. they think they have will be what taken away.

  227. So the gift that you are must be worked.

  228. This is not a free ride. You've been given a free gift to

  229. deploy. Are you hearing me now?

  230. Some are apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelist,

  231. some of his pastors and teachers.

  232. And what are these five fold ministries for that not everyone

  233. that's in the body of Christ. They are for the equipping of

  234. the Saints, for the work of service to the building up of

  235. the body of Christ, Ernest said. This the object of the five fold

  236. gift, we are calling it the five fold effect, is to enable the

  237. whole church to become spiritually mature and truly

  238. function as representatives of Christ's Kingdom.

  239. That's the point. And so we're talking about the

  240. fivefold ministry because we want to introduce you to your

  241. coaching staff because God has a coaching staff that is there to

  242. train. The church is to come train, not

  243. to come hear lectures, to entertain your ear so that

  244. you'll feel comfortable that when you die you go to heaven.

  245. No, it's to train you to get busy in the sectors of society

  246. God has for you so that the Kingdom can be demonstrated.

  247. Hallelujah. God wants to deploy you in the

  248. earth to represent him. Amen.

  249. So last week we talked about apostles, and I want to Segway

  250. from apostles into pastors. We said this, Rick Renner made

  251. made this statement. Apostles are are able to lay

  252. biblical foundations and keep the New Testament pattern at

  253. work among the churches. They strengthen and encourage

  254. pastoral leaders, mobilize churches for action, and present

  255. the global vision of Christ and His church.

  256. They inspire greater faith and empower workers to reach the

  257. secular marketplace. Apostles present the big picture

  258. in an impressive way and often with miraculous confirmation.

  259. I I realized that when God wanted, it was empowering us to

  260. take territory here in our location at the magnitude that

  261. is beyond our ability. It is impossible with us to

  262. achieve what we have achieved back in December of 2021.

  263. It's impossible for us to achieve that, but yet God

  264. achieved it through us. But it did more than just secure

  265. US 25 1/2 acres and 200,000 square foot of building of which

  266. we still function some as a mall.

  267. It now has inspired other pastors that when they hear the

  268. testimony and I have them come up often that say wow, and I

  269. knew then this is a today moment by which people can say God did

  270. something in my lifetime. Many especially among the

  271. denominations, when I say denomination, there is no such

  272. thing as non denominational. Even us, we're not non

  273. denominational. We are connected with an

  274. organization. There are very few people who

  275. are pastoring churches that are not connected to a organization.

  276. So by all rights they say fellowship group or

  277. denomination, you can call it whatever you want to charismatic

  278. Pentecostals, Methodist, Presbyterian, Assembly of God,

  279. you know, Catholic, whatever you want to call it.

  280. You can call it, you know, Word of Faith, whatever the case may

  281. be. It's still a group of people

  282. that have centered around a belief and this common of a

  283. revelation they have of God and they're operating in that area.

  284. And with that, many of them are talking about exploits of God of

  285. times long before them. They're using testimonies of

  286. other people and not now. But God is I am, Hallelujah

  287. he's, I am God. So we should have I am

  288. victories, victories with the I am.

  289. But in order to have victories with the I am, you're going to

  290. have to step out of the boat, Hallelujah, at the risk of

  291. sinking. And as long as you don't take

  292. your eyes off the Lord and be fearful of the waves that are

  293. coming, the storms that are coming, you will walk all the

  294. way out and meet Jesus and cause it to come to pass.

  295. The author and finisher of your faith will have it come to pass.

  296. And we are witnesses of this account.

  297. OK, So the apostles obviously are big picture.

  298. These are territory takers. They're constantly keeping a

  299. large perspective in. In essence, they are never into

  300. strict details as much and get lost in them.

  301. They are always from a big vantage point.

  302. Plus, they are those along the way that maintain spiritual

  303. insight concerning Scripture. And they are lens setters.

  304. Are they clear up lenses? They help cause the scripture to

  305. become more clear. Now again, there is no new

  306. revelation, but there are rediscovered ones.

  307. And again, if we cannot receive more spiritual wisdom and

  308. revelation and insight, then there will be no reason for us

  309. to pray the Pauline prayers. Which means if we're praying

  310. them, we might see something in scripture that's different than

  311. what the majority hold as truth. Some could hold something as

  312. truth only to be found out. It's a tradition, OK, And

  313. apostles will help us do that. Now there are 5 gifts, but a

  314. person can function in more than one gift can function in more

  315. than one gift and I want to introduce you to James in

  316. Galatians chapter one verse 19. It says this Paul writing

  317. concerning coming and seeing Peter after he was out by

  318. himself for 14 years in Jesus Christ is personally training

  319. him of the revelation or the mystery of the church.

  320. Paul's been separated and Jesus himself, not a man, but Jesus

  321. himself has been speaking to the Lord or to Peter and saying

  322. here's a mystery. And because you are were a

  323. Pharisee of Pharisees, because you were a Hebrew scholar,

  324. because you knew the law and the prophets.

  325. I'm about to reveal to you everything that's concerning me

  326. and my church. I'm going to show you where I

  327. was always looking and and and and had acknowledged that more

  328. will come in to my Kingdom besides Israel and I'll do it

  329. through a thing called the church.

  330. Now we call the church. We think of it as a religious

  331. organization, but when Jesus said I'll build my church is

  332. ecclesia and it is a set those set apart.

  333. It was a name common in that time that when the disciples

  334. heard the church or Ecclesia, they immediately could think of

  335. Rome, the government. They were not thinking of

  336. Judaism or the temple. Jesus shifted them to a

  337. government and that government, when he heard they heard

  338. ekklesia, they were like, you mean like the Senate that is

  339. connected with Caesar in Rome. And the Senate was this group of

  340. called out ones that would go into a, a territory that was not

  341. Rome itself and begin to establish the culture of Rome in

  342. that territory and enact its laws within that territory.

  343. And he's saying I'm going to build my legislative assembly.

  344. That's what that means. Ekklesia in the earth.

  345. My called out ones they will assemble all of my ambassadors

  346. will come to the embassy, so to speak, understand the policies

  347. of the Kingdom of heaven and enact those in the Kingdom are

  348. in the earth. Are you hearing me So when we

  349. hear church you have to eradicate religious and begin to

  350. realize this is a section of of the Kingdom of God or God's

  351. government. Now how do we know this?

  352. Because Isaiah Chapter 9 verse six and seven says the child

    Isaiah 9 chapter mention

  353. will be born, a son will be given and the government shall

  354. rest on his shoulders. Shoulders are located where in

  355. the body Jesus is the head of the church and we are his body.

  356. And if the government is on his shoulders, we are that

  357. government is called the church or legislative assembly.

  358. So this Bible is is not a religious book.

  359. It's about a king, his Kingdom and his royal offspring.

  360. And don't you know the king is coming?

  361. I said, don't you know the king is coming and he is preparing

  362. the earth for the king? So he gave revelation to Paul,

  363. of which then he enters into Jerusalem.

  364. Spend some time with Peter, of which Peter says you were

  365. talking to Jesus. But he goes on and says here in

  366. Galatians 119 he says, but I did not see any other of the

  367. apostles except James, and which James the Lord's brother.

  368. Now this is not James the son of Zebedee, because you had John

  369. and James, the sons of Thunder. They were the apostles, the

  370. original 12 of the apostles of the Lamb.

  371. But here we are. But he was martyred or killed in

  372. Acts chapter 12. He did not come and see that

    Acts 12 chapter mention

  373. James. He saw this James, James the

  374. Lord's brother. This James is the James that

  375. wrote the book of James, and this James is an apostle.

  376. He said. I did not see any other of the

  377. apostles except what does that imply?

  378. James is an apostle? But then when you jump over to

  379. the 15th chapter of Acts, we have a big tribunal take place

  380. because Paul has been planting churches among the Gentiles and

  381. within the Jewish churches that Peter is planting because he's

  382. called to the Jews and Paul is called to the Gentiles.

  383. In the Jewish church. There is no issue with

  384. circumcision because all Jews are circumcised and that is part

  385. of the Old Covenant. It let you know you were in

  386. covenant with God as a male. And obviously that was in play.

  387. However, when Paul started getting out with the Gentiles,

  388. circumcision was not required and all of a sudden some that

  389. had wrong motives following Paul began to spy out.

  390. Now that's just a nice way of saying they were peeking in on

  391. when people were using the bathroom and realized this Greek

  392. isn't circumcised and started to stir up strife in Paul's plants.

  393. So Paul's like, listen, that's old covenant.

  394. The scripture is clear. This is a circumcision of the

  395. heart. It's not you can't be right with

  396. God through some physical manifestation during that time.

  397. That's how it was. But now during this time is a

  398. whole nother ball game. So they descend on Jerusalem,

  399. where the apostle James also resides as the pastor of the

  400. Jerusalem church. Peter's there.

  401. I mean, we're talking all the heavy hitters in the first move

  402. of God. I mean, these are people we're

  403. reading about, right? The ones that you're like, man,

  404. I would love to talk with them. And I, you know what?

  405. I just want you to know you're such a gift.

  406. When you get to heaven, Paul's going to say, I can't wait to

  407. talk to you. OK, So here James in the 13th,

  408. after he's heard from Peter the apostle, he's heard from Paul

  409. the apostle, he says, and after they stop speaking, James

  410. answered and said, brethren, listen to me.

  411. Now, at this point, most often people see James only as pastor,

  412. but he's not. He's also an apostle.

  413. And what James is doing is not coming from his pastoral role,

  414. but from his Apostolic gift, because apostles correct

  415. doctrine and this is a doctrinal issue that they need clarity on,

  416. of which the first apostle Peter makes his case and the second

  417. apostle Paul makes his case. And then Apostle James, who

  418. happens to be the pastor of Jerusalem, says, based upon what

  419. I've heard, and I'm hearing the Holy Ghost as well, it seems

  420. right to us that we do not require any of the Gentile

  421. churches are those that are born again to subject themselves to

  422. physical circumcision. It's not a requirement, but

  423. there are some things we want them to do, and that is take

  424. care of the poor, take care of widows, right?

  425. And then do not eat any meat strangled and given to idols.

  426. All right. And be through that Apostolic

  427. anointing. Although he's pastor of the

  428. church, it sits through all of the churches, not only the ones

  429. Peter had planted, but also the ones Paul had planted.

  430. Do you see this? And this is where that Apostolic

  431. and pastoral merge, because the pastor gift is it cares for the

  432. flock and it wants to feed the flock the right word.

  433. So once the Apostolic has the this is thus saith the Lord.

  434. Then the pastors took that word and implemented it within their

  435. congregations. Are you hearing me?

  436. Of which was delivered by the apostle Paul himself.

  437. Are you hearing me? So James was an apostle and

  438. pastor. Now why do I say that?

  439. Because I am an apostle and pastor and again for years, you

  440. know, I recognize and there's no problem.

  441. You could always call me pastor or you call me brother or if you

  442. want to. But we said last week, if you

  443. want to receive a righteous man reward, then you acknowledge a

  444. righteous man. That's what you get.

  445. But if you want to get a prophet's reward, you got to

  446. acknowledge them as that I'm, I'm, I am not something.

  447. It is the gift. So again, when you make a demand

  448. on the gift, then you receive from the gift and there's a day

  449. you want Pastor Earl because you don't want Buddy Earl, because

  450. Buddy Earl doesn't have an anointing day to help guide you,

  451. but Pastor has an anointing to guide you.

  452. I mean, I put my pants on just like you.

  453. I'm in the same field as you. I am being an example to you

  454. because I'm at demo day. In fact, there's a person in our

  455. church right now won't mention their name was not attending our

  456. church, but their child was going to our preschool.

  457. And the thing that caused them to show up is because Pastor

  458. Marcy and myself were on a ladder in the hallway painting.

  459. And they said, I've never seen a pastor do this in the ones that

  460. they had attended prior. Because again, those pastors

  461. have done something that we'll talk about here in a minute that

  462. we don't do. We just get involved in the

  463. process. We are to be an example.

  464. Well, then there's other times that you need the role of the

  465. apostle. Are you hearing me?

  466. And in the Apostolic role, the Apostolic role will help you

  467. take territory. I mean, again, if you're a

  468. business owner, you want to draw on that because we can get

  469. insight. I have dealt with our property

  470. managers with them all. And I know I have not gone to

  471. school for business. I have not done that.

  472. But God that when certain negotiations have gone in

  473. certain ways, that Apostolic anointing will pop in and and

  474. I'll drop an idea and my property managers that have

  475. great understanding and knowledge of business will say

  476. that's a great idea. Well, it's a Holy Ghost idea

  477. because I don't have that, but the anointing does.

  478. Are you hearing me? So James function in these two

  479. gifts. And so that's why I utilize him

  480. today. But let's move over to the

  481. pastor Hebrews chapter 13 verses 20 to 21.

    Hebrews 13:20–21

  482. It says now God, now the God of peace, who brought up from who?

  483. Who brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep

  484. through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord.

  485. So Jesus our Lord is the great shepherd.

  486. Verse 21 equip you and every good thing to do his will.

  487. So the Great Shepherd wants to equip you in every good thing to

  488. do. Whose will?

  489. Whose will? Your will, your will.

  490. Is God here to meet your will? Does God want it to fulfill,

  491. help you fulfill your fantasies, your desires, your wants?

  492. No, He wants to equip you so that you will fulfill His and

  493. His are the best. It goes on to say working in US

  494. that which is pleasing in His sight.

  495. Without faith it is what? Impossible to please God?

  496. That's Hebrews Chapter 11, verse 6.

    Hebrews 11:6

  497. So how are you pleasing in His sight?

  498. You are living by faith. How does faith come?

  499. Faith comes by hearing and hearing from the word of God,

  500. but not hearing alone. You must act on that word.

  501. Hearing does not mean you're in faith.

  502. Hearing means you have access to function in faith.

  503. Faith only happens when you act and when do you act?

  504. When it's when you hear, not when you see.

  505. Because faith calls those things that be not as though they were.

  506. And yet you're acting like it's done and everybody knows it's

  507. not. What are you saying?

  508. You're saying what it's not. Have you lost your mind?

  509. It's not no, it's that way because he said it's that way.

  510. And I'll only believe it, and you watch because it will be

  511. what I say, because he said, are you hearing me?

  512. So he goes on. Then He is working, pleasing in

  513. a sight through Jesus Christ, to whom the glory forever and ever.

  514. So Jesus is the great shepherd. All right, then go over to John

  515. 10. We'll start in verse 11.

  516. We're talking about a pastor here because the only comparison

  517. according to Ephesians chapter 4 and Ephesians chapter 4 is the

Ephesians 4 chapter mention Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  518. only time the word pastor is actually even mentioned.

  519. Now, some of the others equate the pastor with an administrator

  520. in Romans, but I'm not dealing with that because honestly, as a

  521. pastor, I'm a horrible administrator.

  522. You know, I'm not wired that way.

  523. I'm wired more towards my Apostolic meaning.

  524. Now, that doesn't mean I can't administrate things, but I don't

  525. get bogged down in details. I'm always moving to the next

  526. thing and will care for you along the way because again, you

  527. got to see us as a church this way.

  528. You do not see yourself as and you you can't, you can't stay at

  529. Anchor Faith Church anyway, if you want this, because that's

  530. not who our makeup is. If you want a pass, just come

  531. out and and hug you and tell you, you know, you're super

  532. awesome and that, you know, here's a little bit of food

  533. here, you know, and then, you know, come play with your kids

  534. all the time and, you know, show up at the hospital all the time

  535. and never really just do anything different than what's

  536. going on in your on the dress. You've come to the wrong church.

  537. I'm the coach that we're on a marathon, OK, And I'm the one

  538. running with you. Now when I say that that can

  539. look two ways. That could be I'm in the car

  540. now. Why do I say that?

  541. Not because I'm not willing to run.

  542. It's just say apostles get way out there and then come back and

  543. let you know what's coming. And then also because you're way

  544. out there along the way and and I'll feed you in route.

  545. So again, if you run races like long Brittany, where you at?

  546. Stand up. Brittany said you're the one

  547. that always pulls me into this stuff all the time.

  548. Brittany, pull me into the gate river run 15K.

  549. All right, that's almost 10 miles, right.

  550. And she's faster than I was. So thank you for bringing me in

  551. and then being in a different wave and I never saw you the

  552. whole time. OK, you can be seated.

  553. So in my desire to catch Brittany, whose legs are double

  554. my length, you understand she does this and I do this in order

  555. to get there. OK, With that being said, along

  556. the way, kilometer 1, kilometer 2, kilometer 3, somebody was

  557. feeding me. Give me an opportunity to be

  558. nourished along the way. That's how this church is.

  559. We're going somewhere. So you get fed in route.

  560. Are you hearing what I'm saying? And if we get to a mile marker

  561. that you're like, man, I can't, I'll put you in the car, let you

  562. stay with the group. And after you get refreshed,

  563. let's get back out in the road and start running again.

  564. Are you hearing me? This is not a free ride.

  565. It's a race we run together. Hallelujah.

  566. All right, so we know he's a good great shepherd, but John

  567. 1011 says, and I am the Good Shepherd.

  568. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

  569. Now I just want to be very specific for a moment, and that

  570. is we are talking very specific about Jesus because I'm going to

  571. be honest with you, me dying will do nothing for you.

  572. The only death I experience as a Good Shepherd is I crucify my

  573. flesh daily and I die to self for the sake of feeding you.

  574. And if you've been with me a little while, as in Anchor Faith

  575. Church, you know that's the case, that I've laid down

  576. vacations, I've laid down opportunity, I've laid down all

  577. kinds of stuff. For what purpose we got to feed

  578. I would love to do, but can't, can't go there, can't do that.

  579. Want to be off, got to feed. You understand, when you have

  580. livestock, they're hungry whether you want to go out there

  581. or not. All right, all right.

  582. So he's the Good Shepherd, verse 12.

  583. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd who is not the owner of

  584. the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees,

  585. and the wolf scattered, snatches them and scatters them.

  586. He flees because he's a hired hand and not concerned about the

  587. sheep. He said, I'm the Good Shepherd

  588. and I know my own and my own know me, even as the Father

  589. knows me. I know the Father and I laid

  590. down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep which are not

  591. of this foal. He's talking about Israel.

  592. He's moving over to the Gentiles there he said I must bring them

  593. also. And they will hear whose voice?

  594. Come on, whose voice? Whose voice?

  595. My voice. And they will become one flock.

  596. With who? With what?

  597. 1 shepherd. So let me tell you this, I am

  598. not your shepherd. I am an overseer.

  599. Jesus is your shepherd. Number two, I am not the voice

  600. into your life. I don't even have a voice in

  601. your life because the only voice you should hear is it is

  602. written. Now, how do you know if

  603. somebody's functioning as a overseer or someone serving the

  604. Good Shepherd or the Great Shepherd as a pastor?

  605. How do you know this? Because they will not speak of

  606. their own initiative. They're not going to tell you

  607. their opinion. They're not going to communicate

  608. to you their feelings. This is why a lot of times the

  609. Saints struggle with the pastor. A real 1 is because he's not

  610. giving you a bunch or she's not giving you a bunch of insights

  611. into the struggles and all the stuff going on.

  612. Because at the end of the day we are obligated to give his voice,

  613. not our own. Because a hard hand will tell

  614. you how they feel, and when trouble shows up, they run.

  615. Now they may not run physically from what we call the church,

  616. but they do run by not obeying the voice of the Good Shepherd.

  617. Have you ever been around someone who claims to be a

  618. believer? You talk to them and yet what

  619. they're saying is not what he says.

  620. They're personally present, but yet they're talking not from the

  621. voice of God. They're complaining.

  622. I mean, with some you can even hear offense.

  623. You can hear bitterness. You can hear unforgiveness.

  624. And in your mind you're like, but what's the Bible say?

  625. A hard hand will give you what you want to hear.

  626. But make no mistake, when a wolf comes, they'll run from it

  627. because again, it's not their fault.

  628. In essence, they want the gift that they've now decided is a

  629. title, but they do not have the anointing to deal with the

  630. pressures associated with the gift.

  631. Because a hired person is not going.

  632. And why can the sheep be snatched #1 because a hired

  633. person is not given the voice of the shepherd.

  634. That's one reason. Now, there are other reasons why

  635. she gets snatched, and we'll talk about that here in a

  636. minute. Are you hearing me?

  637. So we understand. You got to understand, just

  638. because people say they're pastor doesn't mean they're

  639. pastor. It's identified by what they say

  640. and the life they show. It's their fruit.

  641. Amen. And as sheep, please do not have

  642. short term memory. This is why the writer of

  643. Hebrews says, obey those who oversee you, for they watch over

  644. your soul. They'll give an account to it.

  645. Let them do this not with joy and not with grief because it

  646. would be unprofitable for you because there are other voices

  647. besides the Great Shepherd and the Good Shepherd and you've got

  648. you have to decide what you want to listen to Jesus tells in

  649. verse 14, I know my own and my own know me and they know my

  650. voice. Are you hearing me?

  651. And he lays down his life, meaning I will do the will of

  652. the Father for those and those that are real pastors are going

  653. to lay down their lives for the sake of caring and feeding and

  654. nurturing the flock. Look at this over in Acts

    Acts 20:28

  655. chapter 20 verse 28 says this, be on guard for yourselves and

  656. for all the flock. This is the Apostle Paul talking

  657. to the pastors of Ephesus, elders and overseers, he says,

  658. among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers to shepherd

  659. the Church of God, which he purchased with his own blood

  660. last week. I said this.

  661. Saints have no right picking their coaches.

  662. Coaches do not pick their sheep. It's the Lord who says, pastor,

  663. I'm planting you in this field and these are the ones I'm

  664. bringing to you. That's how that works.

  665. Again, the scripture is applicable.

  666. Jesus says you didn't choose me, but I I did not choose you.

  667. The Lord chose you to come to anchor faith.

  668. The Lord chose you to. If it is that you have been

  669. chosen to come and if you have then no devil in hell, no

  670. circumstance in life, no situation, nobody sitting next

  671. to you that's trying to grow in the things of God could get you

  672. so sideways that you would abandoned your post and your

  673. calling. That would never happen when

  674. you're it's the fabric of your being because the Lord called me

  675. now no one can make me leave here.

  676. A devil in hell can't make me leave here.

  677. Trials and tribulations can't make me leave here.

  678. The inability of people to grow up can't make me leave here.

  679. The pressures of life, because if the longest the Lord has

  680. established me on this field. I'm in this field period.

  681. Now wolves can run the fence and wolves can only snatch sheep who

  682. choose to disconnect from the fold.

  683. Because if you stay with the 99, the shepherd doesn't have to go

  684. find the one. And do you think the one went

  685. off by itself? Because sheep tend to stay

  686. together anyway. So most likely what happened is

  687. four or five started to move in a little different direction and

  688. the shepherd gave a call out of which three or four came back to

  689. the group, but the one kept. And it's not because they didn't

  690. say something, but it's because they're going out on their own.

  691. The enemy is always trying to pull you away from the flock.

  692. A Good Shepherd, a great shepherd is not here to defied

  693. the flock. A wolf does that.

  694. And the scripture tells us that wolves can show up in sheep's

  695. clothing. Hallelujah.

  696. Do you understand? Even as a sheep, you should be

  697. able to sniff out a wolf yourself.

  698. Now, how do you know when the shepherd knows there's a wolf?

  699. Because he's given instruction. If you just obey.

  700. Come on. If you just obey.

  701. All right, let me. I'm gonna help you some more.

  702. Acts 2028. Let's go be on God for yourself

  703. and for all the flock among which the Holy Spirit has made.

  704. So who made them? The overseer.

  705. You didn't make me an overseer. I mean, the audacity of somebody

  706. thinking they can unmake me an overseer.

  707. I mean, just think where you're positioning yourself when you go

  708. against a minister. I mean, we already seen this

  709. played out with another congregation called Moses who

  710. was made the overseer. Somebody raised up and said we

  711. can do it too. We can do this too.

  712. We're not listening to you. We're not going to do it and

  713. pull the whole group. The Lord said we'll just show

  714. you who I picked. And then the rest didn't end up

  715. well. It didn't end up well.

  716. The Lord actually took it personal.

  717. Now I'm not going to take it personal, but God will.

  718. Come on, Saints, listen to me. Don't take it personal.

  719. God will. Now that scares me.

  720. That's the fear of the Lord, because I get sideways with the

  721. Lord. He takes it personal.

  722. No, not me. I'm just going to stay with Him.

  723. So I'm an overseer because the Holy Spirit made me that way to

  724. shepherd or to oversee God's church, which he purchased with

  725. His blood. That's why we say He's building

  726. his church. It's his voice, it's his action.

  727. We're just following. And often I just look like I'm

  728. the lead follower. I look like I'm leading, but I'm

  729. just following the Holy Ghost. Amen.

  730. Have you ever missed the Holy Ghost?

  731. Aren't you glad he forgave you? Why don't you extend the same

  732. courtesy to the Fivefold Ministry then?

  733. These are not things that make you just run out and leave.

  734. David didn't run out and leave from the king who tried to kill

  735. him, but was a blessing to him and to his kids, did not try to

  736. destroy him or his family. Wow, come on, Saints, say law

  737. verse 29. I know that after my departure,

  738. savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock, and

  739. from among your own selves men will arise.

  740. Speaking perverse things to what?

  741. Draw away the after. Therefore be on the alert.

  742. Now what is Paul saying here? Paul is saying to them.

  743. He said, now listen you, I'm giving you insight and he's

  744. already wished. He's already issuing a warning

  745. to the ones that he knows. Now how would he know this?

  746. Therefore be on alert. Remember the night and day for a

  747. period of three years. I did not cease to admonish you,

  748. each one with tears. That is someone who cares for

  749. them. And he goes.

  750. And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which

  751. is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among

  752. all those who are sanctified. Now I'm going to give you an

  753. example what this verse 32 means.

  754. Ready book of beginnings. God said, let us make man in our

  755. aim according to our likeness, and let him have dominion over

  756. the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, over all the

  757. cattle, over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth

  758. and over all the earth. So he takes his man Adam before

  759. he's called Adam. But this man, he puts him in the

  760. garden and he shows him all of the produce and all the trees

  761. and everything, and he says, now you are going to subdue, have

  762. multiply, have dominion. He gave him 5 particular things

  763. that he would begin to do, and he takes this man and he says,

  764. now listen, this tree here, this one right here, it's called the

  765. tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

  766. You will do not eat from this tree for the day you eat from

  767. it. You will.

  768. You're going to die. Now somewhere between that

  769. conversation, a rebellion occurs in heaven where God kicks the

  770. morning star or Lucifer. King James calls him.

  771. We know him as a Satan, as Satan out because of rebellion.

  772. Now he shows up in the garden and he begins to talk to Eve and

  773. Adam. He directs his words towards

  774. Eve, but Adam's listening. Now here's the thing.

  775. Religion teaches us that the pastor has to be everywhere.

  776. You're in trouble, got to show up, got to be there at midnight,

  777. got to be here at 1:00 in the morning.

  778. Got to do this. Got to run here.

  779. Got to do this. Got to run, got to be here, got

  780. to be here. You know what?

  781. You know how many pastors burn out and run themselves racket

  782. because everybody wants their pastor right here and put it

  783. camera. That's where they want their

  784. pastor. In essence, you want the pastor

  785. to be your personal indentured servant.

  786. That's what you want. Now, God is the great Shepherd.

  787. Does he care for humanity more than anybody?

  788. Yeah. And here's his son.

  789. The one he loves made in his image is in the planet.

  790. And the thief has come in. How could he not show up?

  791. Because he didn't have to. Because he gave him his word.

  792. The number one role a pastor is to give you the word of the

  793. king. I don't even have to be there in

  794. your greatest trial because he's there.

  795. God didn't have to show up in the garden and slap the fruit

  796. out of his hands as we want the pastors to do in your life.

  797. We know I wouldn't have got in this trouble if you would have

  798. been here, if you would have done.

  799. I mean, this is what they said to Jesus.

  800. If you only had been here, Lazarus would still be alive.

  801. He's like he's on rise. I know in the last I am the

  802. resurrection and the life. I mean, you think I have to all.

  803. All that has to be available is the word.

  804. And the feeding of the flock is to communicate the voice of the

  805. Great Shepherd, the Good Shepherd, not my personal

  806. opinion and little anecdotes and jokes to entertain you so you'll

  807. feel funny and happy so that you can continue to live a carnal

  808. life and wait to go to heaven when you die.

  809. It was never the role of the pastor.

  810. I mean, the sheep want the pastor's to lay down their life,

  811. fall out on top of, wrestle with wolves, wrestle with lions,

  812. wrestle with everything. Yet their number one

  813. responsibility is say, here's the word.

  814. This is what this means. You need to act on this.

  815. Be a doer of this. I'm feeding you.

  816. Are you eating? And I'm going to tell you right

  817. here at ANG for a church. A buffet.

  818. Come on, y'all not know this? There's been another.

  819. A buffet is being laid out because I fear God too much to

  820. come to you with a couple of scriptures and a bunch of little

  821. funny stories and read or digest stuff to try to make everything

  822. relatable when what you need is the word of the Good Shepherd,

  823. the great shepherd, because when you out and about you can take

  824. things down. Hallelujah.

  825. Now why does Paul know there's ones that are going to happen if

  826. you go over to Philippians, We're not going to go there.

  827. I'm just going to give you the example.

  828. Paul said I can only send you Timothy for the rest of these

  829. that are running with me. They seek their own interest.

  830. Saints do not always see when someone running with the

  831. fivefold ministry is a self seeker, but pastors do and so do

  832. apostles and Ruffino. I have been long-suffering with

  833. a lot of people because I see their self interests.

  834. When you going to use me? When you going to die to

  835. yourself? Self seekers and they abound.

  836. Go ahead say this. I was a self seeker.

  837. Yes you were. We all were self seekers.

  838. But God. But just 'cause you were born

  839. again didn't mean you quit pursuing yourself.

  840. That is something you got to die daily to.

  841. And you die through serving and you die through doing things

  842. that seem menial. And you, you know that you're

  843. destined for something else. But it doesn't matter because

  844. nothing can stop you but you. So Paul knew I got a group of

  845. self seekers here and Paul could not remain any longer to try to

  846. weed that out. So he warned them, I know how

  847. some of you going to operate after I go because the Apostolic

  848. anointing, when it's around the crowd, it keeps it at Bay.

  849. And when the pastoral gifts around that group, it will keep

  850. in this presence. They will act different.

  851. But when it's away, they will show up first Peter chapter 5

    1 Peter 5:2–4

  852. verse 2 through 4 says this shepherd the flock of God.

  853. This is pastors now Paul telling or Peter telling them he says

  854. shepherd the flock of God among you exercising oversight, not

  855. under compulsion, but voluntarily according to the

  856. will of God, not for sorbid gain, but with eagerness.

  857. Verse 3 nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your

  858. charge, but proving to be examples to the flock.

  859. And when the chief shepherd appears, you will will receive

  860. the unfading crown of glory. Now if you were only a pastor,

  861. OK, if and here we we've said he's the great shepherd, the

  862. Good Shepherd. Now he's the chief shepherd.

  863. OK, he's the chief shepherd. Now as a pastor, you are guiding

  864. apostle. You are moving forward.

  865. If you were only around a pastoral gift.

  866. There's a lot of God. Hey, come on, hey, come on, hey,

  867. come on. But when the apostolic's there,

  868. it's like you need to get up and move if we're going to

  869. accomplish what we've been destined to do.

  870. That's why it sounds now. At the end of the day, the

  871. apostle can't make it. Oh, you don't want to hear this

  872. fun. I will talk to the camera.

  873. Paul is having a conversation with Barnabas concerning a St.

  874. He said we are not taking John Mark, not going to do it.

  875. It's not going to happen. The guy abandoned us.

  876. We cannot have that as a team member.

  877. He's not ready. Does that mean that he's

  878. demanding and and and overlording and and pushing?

  879. No, he's making a demand on the fact that there's territory

  880. we're going into that the faint of heart, they're not mature

  881. enough to get there. And Barnabas fought with him

  882. about that. Now, the problem with Barnabas

  883. is, like most people, he put his personal family before the

  884. vision, the call, ultimately because that was his nephew.

  885. And so he abandoned what God had separated him to do and we never

  886. hear his name in Scripture again.

  887. Now was he offended? No, I don't believe so.

  888. He still were with John Mark. And John Mark became an asset to

  889. Paul later on, of which Paul was not saying John Mark can't be an

  890. asset. He just saying on this trip he

  891. cannot come, he's not ready. I said he's not ready.

  892. So when those gifts are in operation, you have to.

  893. We all wear hats. Husbands wear a hat, but then

  894. you put your father hat on. You don't wear your husband hat

  895. with your kids. That's called incest, All right.

  896. You know how to take that hat off and you be a father.

  897. You maintain boundaries based upon that.

  898. So you have to recognize when when I'm wearing a pastor hat

  899. and that anointing is operating and when I'm wearing the apostle

  900. hat and wear that when that anointing is being is operating.

  901. But because nobody really takes time to talk about these gifts

  902. and we only want to accept the pastor gift.

  903. We just want someone to lead us into the Greenfield and let us

  904. lay out in the green pasture and relax and eat till we're full.

  905. And they say, well, come on, let's get some water.

  906. Let's get some water. Looks like you're getting too

  907. much wool, right? Let me calm it out for you other

  908. than my wife. And it's not because it's a bad

  909. experience, is that she just, you know, don't want to stop.

  910. That's the problem. I, I, I like it when my wife

  911. cuts my hair. There's not like being just

  912. Marcy's. Like I don't want to have to get

  913. my hair done. Not because she don't like

  914. getting it done, she just don't want to take the time that it

  915. takes to get it done. That's what I'm saying.

  916. Me, I like the whole process, you know, go ahead and run your

  917. hands through my hair right now. If I was going to someone else,

  918. I would still like the process. I just wouldn't have those

  919. thoughts when they're touching me.

  920. She's my wife when she's my wife and she gets to the front that I

  921. can like grab her legs with my legs, you know, you know, I can

  922. hold her like this. I there's advantages when she's

  923. your wife, but even when she's not, you know, I've had

  924. somewhere they do the little massage and they take the

  925. straight razor. That's AI like that.

  926. That's super cool, right? So we want, you know, to be

  927. massaged. And those things are there, but

  928. they're not the only thing there, right?

  929. So again, we have to be an example because when the Chief

  930. Shepherd appears, we're going to receive the unfading crown of

  931. glory. All right, let me pass through

  932. pretty quick now. John 2115 to 17.

  933. If you're a vision partner, you know where I'm going here.

  934. It says this. And so when he had finished

  935. breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, do

  936. you love me more than these? And he said, yes, Lord, you know

  937. that I love you. And he said to him, 10 my lambs.

  938. And he said, the second time, Simon, son of John, do you love

  939. me? And he said, yes, Lord, you know

  940. that I love you. And he said, Shepherd my sheep.

  941. 17 He said to him a third time, Simon, son of John, do you love

  942. me? And he was greed because he has

  943. said this a third time, Do you love me?

  944. And he said, Lord, you know all things, you know the love of

  945. you. And Jesus said, 10 my sheep.

  946. There are three things that are said here. 10 my lambs, keep

  947. this up, do not take it off. 10 my lambs, shepherd my sheep, and

  948. 10 my sheep. 10 means to care for.

  949. And so as an overseer in the pastoral, we're going to care

  950. for you. And the number one way that we

  951. care is that we're always giving you the word.

  952. Why do we give you the word desire, the sincere milk of the

  953. word that you may grow by it. So 10 my lambs, lambs are baby

  954. sheep, which he's saying, listen, when people get born

  955. again, they're going to be a babe in Christ.

  956. And I need you to care for them. I need you to give them the milk

  957. of the word. I need them to grow up, which

  958. comes to the second phrase. The second phrase then says

  959. shepherd my sheep, which tells us God never intended for Saints

  960. to stay as lambs. So growth is a requirement in

  961. church. Look at your name and say

  962. growing up is required. Growing up is required.

  963. It is not OK to maintain preschool status after you've

  964. been in for 15 years. You are not supposed to fail

  965. every year the tests and trials of the words being spoken over

  966. your life for you to implement and do.

  967. And you be a 30 year old preschooler who can't get out of

  968. BPK. You are not Peter Pan, come on.

  969. So get rid of. I don't want to grow up, OK?

  970. The Lord wants you to grow up because there's power in growing

  971. up. He says shepherd, my sheep.

  972. Now shepherd will guide and protect.

  973. That's what they do. And this means when you get to a

  974. place of maturity, the pastor will help guide you, but also

  975. protect you, which means you you can get in situations, even in

  976. spiritual maturity that you need protection.

  977. Then the last thing is tin my sheep, which means again, you

  978. never get to a place of maturity that you graduate from the

  979. church or the fivefold ministry or a overseer in a local area

  980. that's been assigned a particular field as the Holy

  981. Spirit made them that and he says you're part of that flock.

  982. OK, now we are going to care. This is what it looks like in

  983. closing, Second Timothy, chapter 3.

    2 Timothy 3 chapter mention

  984. Second Timothy chapter 3, I'm in in every case of the gifts.

    2 Timothy 3 chapter mention

  985. I'm not talking to you because this will be a more exhaustive

  986. study and I'm not doing that this time, but we could talk

  987. about false apostles, false pastors, false prophets, false

  988. teachers. We could get into what they look

  989. like. And again, you should go in and

  990. find out how they function and operate because then it would be

  991. easy for you to identify. Well, that ain't right.

  992. OK, But let's talk about the what that we are supposed to do.

  993. It kind of comes in this nutshell.

  994. Timothy is hearing from Paul, who now is the pastor of the

  995. Church of Ephesus, and he says to him, all Scripture is

  996. inspired by God and profitable for So what will a pastor do?

  997. He'll teach. What else will he do?

  998. For reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.

  999. So in order for you to be trained in righteousness, 3

1000. things are going to occur teaching reproof and correction,

1001. and they're all positive. The problem is when the pastor

1002. gets over into reproof and correction, the Saints see it as

1003. negative and get offended. Wow, that was tough.

1004. Again, Coach Hurley, have you not had to correct your players?

1005. That's not how we're doing this play.

  1006. Run it again. Now.

1007. Coach Shirley, tell me, am I? Do you guys, do you never raise

1008. your voice? OK, I thought so.

1009. He's one of those guys that, you know, it seems quiet, but you

1010. you know that it can kick in. Do you hate them when you raise

  1011. your voice? No.

1012. In fact, when he raises his voice, it just means he's so

1013. passionate to want to see them perform at their highest level.

1014. And yet we've become so sissified in the church that if

1015. somebody raises your voice or say you need to quit, that

1016. sissified, just slap carnal babyish.

1017. That's all that is, right When we're just trying to get you to

1018. perform at a high level, right? That's all.

1019. And so run it again. No run it again.

1020. No, you're not listening. And we let every other sector of

1021. society do this. But here's the Saints born again

1022. have the Holy Spirit in them. And you know the Holy Spirit

1023. saying, I'm telling him to say this.

1024. Y'all don't want to hear that because again, all scripture is

1025. inspired by God. It's the Holy Spirit that says

1026. correct them, reprove that. In fact, 2/3 of your ministry

1027. time should be you're like, I might have fixed that and that's

1028. not a negative. That's like, praise God.

1029. Now we don't want to hear this because again, we only want just

1030. teach me, tell me what I want to hear.

1031. Come on, we'll go on. Let's go, Let's keep reading.

1032. So the man of God may be adequate to quit for every good

1033. work. See, when you get this, you'll

1034. be adequate and he quit for every good work, but he doesn't

1035. stop. We do chapters and verse.

1036. He's moving on into the very next chapter.

1037. He says I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of

1038. Christ Jesus, who is the judge who is to judge the living and

1039. the dead. Don't judge me.

1040. Jesus will judge your living born again self.

1041. He's going to do this and by his appearing and his Kingdom.

1042. What's he tell Timothy to do? Preach the word man, preach the

1043. word, be ready in season and out.

1044. That means when that you come to service and you know the

1045. congregation don't want to hear nothing, you're saying, well,

1046. I'm a preach anyway and maybe I'll go 3 hours longer because

1047. if you're not listening now, you're not going to listen 3

1048. hours from now. And I got a lot to say.

1049. Just kidding. But it says be in season and out

1050. of season. Here we go.

1051. Reprove, rebuke, exhort. And with what?

1052. Great patience and instruction. So again, there's going to be

1053. reprove and rebuke. I mean, as much as you love your

1054. kids, do you not correct them? And why do you do it?

1055. So you can Lord it over them. Let me tell you who I am.

1056. No, you didn't. I tell you not to do that.

1057. You can't do that. I'm safeguarding you.

1058. I'm here to help you. I care about you.

1059. Yeah. What is the, you know, the, the

1060. emotionally friendly to flesh congregations?

1061. The minute you begin to reprove or correct, then all of a sudden

1062. they get all sensitive and that like, oh, we're just trying to

1063. grow up. This is what pastors are

1064. supposed to do. And I'm going to be honest with

1065. you, you know what, in the last days, not sure how many are

1066. going to be out there because if we go on and keep reading, it

1067. says we're going to reprove, rebuke, exhort with great

1068. patience and instruction. For the time will come when they

1069. will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears

1070. tickled. They will accumulate for

1071. themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,

1072. and they will turn the away their ears from the truth and

1073. will turn aside to myths. You should be greatly concerned

1074. if you came to Anchor Faith Church and I had less scripture

1075. and more stories. You should be like what I need

1076. to pray for, our pastor sums up. But let me just tell you this,

1077. you're not going to get to me. I'm not here to tickle you, the

1078. great Shepherd, the Good Shepherd, the chief Shepherd.

  1079. It's his voice that I'm speaking.

1080. And if he says correct this, I'm doing it.

1081. He says we prove this, I'm doing it.

1082. And there's a lot of things that I can't even say that affect me

1083. personally. But he said be patient,

1084. long-suffering, merciful. My grace is sufficient and you

1085. drive on. But don't think that correction

  1086. doesn't come. Reproof doesn't come.

1087. Training comes. And as great as as an athlete

1088. can be, they can mess up. The greatest running back

1089. fumbles, the greatest hitter gets in a slump.

1090. And initially, like, we'll get it, we'll get it.

1091. But then it comes, man, you're going to have to work on

  1092. something. Something ain't right.

1093. We're going to have to fix this. Are you hearing me?

1094. So the pastor number one thing within his gift is feeding,

1095. because whether he's guiding or protecting, he does it by giving

1096. you the Word. I can't be everywhere the other

1097. voices are, but the word I teach you can come to your remembrance

1098. and you can say thank you, Lord, that you gave me a pastor who

1099. gave me the word that that just came up in my spirit and now I

1100. can let it guide me in this situation.

1101. Thank you that that word just came up in my spirit that our

1102. pastor fed me with, and now it protected me from that.

1103. Because at the end of the day, you're going to have to overcome

1104. too. I if God doesn't come down and

1105. knock the fruit out of Adam's hand, then don't think that I'm

1106. coming and taking a phone from you who's called you, or run to

1107. your place of business and stand between you and your boss that's

1108. unsaved, or be in the hospital every time you get there.

1109. So sometimes, what if you're out of the country somewhere else?

1110. Now, that doesn't mean we don't send people, don't get me wrong.

1111. But if you have the word in you, come on.

1112. If you have the word in you, then that's something that means

1113. you've had a good pastor who listened to the Good Shepherd,

1114. the great Shepherd, the chief Shepherd and didn't give you

1115. their opinion. They gave you the word.

  1116. Let's pray.
