Sermon
Made Whole - Pathway to Healing with Randy Clay

-
So in 91 to 2000, I was Pastor David's associate pastor. 2000,
-
we had a young man come in that was our youth pastor, brand new
-
youth pastor for us. His name was Earl Glisten.
-
So that's how I got to know Pastor Earl Glisten.
-
And I was, you know, I loved it. I loved him from the very
-
beginning. He, he had some fire that the
-
rest of us didn't have. And I'll just never remember,
-
you know, I never forget. I mean, as that I'll never
-
forget the different messages that he had that, you know,
-
really spoke to our youth and gave us the, the men that we
-
have today. Like, you know, Pastor Marcus
-
was one of those. Joshua Clay, my son was one of
-
those. We had several people that had
-
come down here eventually because of his influence in
-
their lives. And so, you know, one of the
-
things that I during that time when I was the associate pastor,
-
I had buried a lot of friends, not very old from cancer.
-
And as you know, hungry Bible student.
-
I was wanting to know, OK, Lord, we did everything that you told
-
us to do. We laid hands on.
-
We taught him the word of God. We also, you know, took elders
-
over, anointed with oil. Everything your word said we
-
did, but they didn't make it. And that bothered me because it
-
had the appearance at the time that your word doesn't work.
-
And so I went to the Lord about it and I asked him.
-
I said, tell me what is up, tell me why they didn't make it after
-
we did everything in your word. And I'm growing, I'm growing as
-
a Christian. I'm I'm wanting to know, you
-
know what, what are what are these things about?
-
And one thing that the Lord showed me, he said there was a
-
common denominator with all the people that I buried and I and
-
he said, just think about them. And I did.
-
I just called their name before for the Lord.
-
I was just sitting there in prayer and he said, Randy, he
-
said they didn't they didn't find or embrace their purpose,
-
man. They were just going through
-
life, the emotions they were going to work trying to raise
-
kids, coming to church, some serving, some not, you know, and
-
they and he said they just never found their purpose.
-
So I, during that time in, in, you know, Oklahoma and serving
-
on staff, I preached hundreds of times, ministered hundreds of
-
times. I got, I got AI got file
-
cabinets full of tapes. You know what a tape is.
-
Anybody know what a tape is? ACD, Not ACD, but a cassette,
-
right? Hundreds of them.
-
All right, I'm going back a little bit.
-
And as I administered in different times on healing and
-
different things, I, I, I came up with this basically my own
-
quote, all right, that I wanted people to think about if they
-
were ever struck with cancer or any other disease that could
-
possibly take their life. I said this, if cancer ever
-
attacks your body, you will need a reason for being here that is
-
stronger than cancer. Now, I thought that was a great
-
thing. Never had any idea in the world
-
that I was going to have to put it into practice.
-
You've heard that saying before. Practice what you preach.
-
Well, every now and then there comes those opportunities.
-
Now, I thought it was interesting because anything
-
else that attaches attacks your life.
-
It doesn't have to be cancer, but something that can take your
-
life. You need to have a reason for
-
being here that can overcome anything that attacks your body.
-
All right. Now, I heard somebody say this
-
one time. I, I, I looked to see, you know
-
who quoted it. And I even think it was probably
-
Smith Wigglesworth probably had a version of it.
-
But he said, he said, if you have to get ready, you're too
-
late. And I always remembered that.
-
I thought, man, you know, So what is it that we have to do to
-
get ready? You know, the worst time in the
-
world to figure out if you've got a spare in your car is when
-
you have a flat. You know, what's worse than that
-
is finding out your spare has no air.
-
But did you know a lot of Christians today treat their
-
faith like that? You know, they get a bad report
-
or they feel something in their body or something abnormal or
-
whatever. And the next thing you, you hear
-
is, honey, where's that Bible? That, that's, that's not how
-
we're supposed to be living. It's, it's, it's not time to
-
start a fight with no ammo. You, you've got to start from
-
the beginning. And I began to develop myself in
-
that. Now I want to give you a
-
scripture that if you do not have this scripture as part of
-
your arsenal, OK, and you have not made your mind up that this
-
scripture is absolutely, irrevocably true, OK?
-
I mean, it is true. You're going to struggle when it
-
comes to healing. It is found in Exodus chapter
-
15, verse 26. And this is what God is telling
-
them when they are, He is bringing them out of the land of
-
Egypt. This is the children of Israel,
-
He said and said, If you will diligently hearken to the voice
-
of the Lord your God, and will do that which is right in his
-
side, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his
-
statutes, I will put none of these diseases the Hebrew bears
-
out. I will allow none of these
-
diseases to come upon you which I have brought upon the
-
Egyptian. I want you to notice the last
-
sentence, for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
-
If you cannot grab a hold of that and say that is the
-
absolute truth in my life, you're going to struggle in
-
healing. Now the word healing there or
-
the word healeth in the King James is the word we've all
-
heard, Rafa. And as a matter of fact, the
-
phrase the Lord that healeth thee is the term Jehovah Rafa.
-
I am the Lord that healeth thee. Let me give you the definition,
-
the word Rafa means to heal, to repair, to cure or thoroughly
-
make whole. Now see, this is what God said
-
that he is. Remember when Moses asked him,
-
he said you know you, you want me to go free the people.
-
So he's scrambling in his mind to come up a reason, said he
-
can't do it. And one of them happens to be,
-
well, what if they ask me your name?
-
He said, what am I going to tell him your name is?
-
And what did he say his name was?
-
I am. His name is right before what he
-
does. I am the Lord that healeth thee.
-
And if we can't make up our minds that he's telling us the
-
truth, we'll struggle when it comes to healing.
-
All right, now I'm going to give you 2 other words that are going
-
to be important so we can move forward.
-
OK? In the New Testament is written
-
in Greek. And the scripture that I have
-
for you here is Matthew chapter 8.
Matthew 8 chapter mention
-
Two times the word mentioned is mentioned, healed and healed.
-
But they're two different words in the man manuscript.
-
Take a look at it if they have it.
-
I do believe you guys got it. It says in verse 5 it says and
-
when Jesus was come to Capernaum, there came unto him a
-
centurion beseeching him and saying, Lord my servant lies at
-
home sick of the palsy and grievously tormented.
-
And Jesus said, I will come heal him.
-
That particular word in the original language is the word
-
therapy, O in the Greek THER APEUO.
-
All right, THERAPEUO, and here's the definition.
-
To heal the cure, to restore the health, or to relieve of
-
disease. Can you hear an English word in
-
there? How about therapy?
-
Therapeutic. That's where we get that word.
-
Now think about it with me. We've got some people that help
-
us in our physical bodies, even in the room tonight, that know I
-
understand therapy and that they will give us things to do that
-
will help us. All right, a therapist lets you
-
know this is what I need you to. They don't do it for you.
-
They want you to do it. OK, now think about with me for
-
a second. Let's just think about a little
-
bit about Jesus ability to heal, because this word, when you see,
-
if you put all the words of healing and health and and and
-
healing health and and he loved in the in the King James season,
-
you see those words healed, healing, heal and health.
-
He said, You see those words in there 60% of the time.
-
It is this word therapeuto. Think about Jesus healing.
-
He sees a man in the synagogue on the Sabbath day.
-
He always does it on the Sabbath day and it's an irritant to
-
certain people in the crowd. But he sees a man with a
-
withered hand and he said stretch forth your hand and he
-
heals it. Remember that.
-
Then he goes on and he has a guy that is blind.
-
He spits in the dirt, make some mud and smears it on his eye.
-
I think sometimes I my mind goes kind of like over I'm like how
-
much spit did he have to make to get a mud glob smear?
-
But remember what he told the guy?
-
He said go to the pool and wash therapy.
-
How many times did he do that? He said to the the 10 lepers,
-
remember he said and they said you can heal us for me.
-
And he goes OK, go show yourself to the priest.
-
And he says as they went, how many times did he say pick up
-
your bed and walk, take up your bed and go to the house.
-
That is the picture of their PIO in the Bible.
-
All right, now let's keep reading because he said the
-
centurion answered him, said, Lord, I'm not worthy that you
-
come under my, come under my roof, but speak the word only
-
and my servant will be healed. You see that that's a different
-
word in the Greek. It is the word that saved my
-
life. And I'll explain that here in a
-
minute. But it is the Greek word EA O my
-
and the Greek word EAO my. Let me spell it for you.
-
If you're taking notes, and I encourage you, if you don't
-
usually take notes, get the phone out.
-
All right, 'cause I'm going to give you some scriptures tonight
-
that you're going to be able to use when you have a flat.
-
But when you see that word healed, the Greek word EAO my is
-
IAOMA i.e. AO my, all right, here's the
-
translation. Translation to cure, to mend, to
-
recover, to restore. So when we take a look at these
-
words, it didn't have any definition in there that said
-
put up with be patient. All right, so we can finish
-
that. We can, we, we can, we can
-
finish this story out knowing that Jesus was amazed at this
-
guy's faith, totally amazed at his faith.
-
He marvelled, he said I have not seen so great a faith.
-
No, not in Israel with this guy. He was a heathen.
-
He had no covenant. He was from Rome, and yet Jesus
-
said he had more faith than all of them, He said in Israel.
-
Does anybody believe that Jesus was an exaggerator?
-
Jesus told the truth. And when he said that, there's
-
nobody in Israel that had the kind of faith that this guy had.
-
And what was that faith? And we're going to talk about
-
faith briefly tonight, all right?
-
And how important it is to understand how to use it to see
-
God move on our lives in their arena of healing.
-
Pastor Marcy mentioned one of my favorite scriptures.
-
OK, just in, in all the scriptures that she listed, you
-
need to jot this down. When I teach healing in Kingdom
-
Institute, I have a a week that I teach scriptures that must
-
become part of your life. OK, They must be.
-
And if not for you, somebody that's going to need them.
-
Psalms 107 verse 20. Listen to this.
-
She read it to us many times. In this time it says Psalms one
-
O 7 one O 720. Guys, do we have it?
-
There we go. Look at it.
-
He said His word and healed them and delivered them from their
-
destructions. This is my #1 scripture.
-
Because if you're going to get healing in your body, you need
-
to know what was sent to give it to you.
-
He sent His word and healed them.
-
You know what I didn't find is that He sent the best doctors in
-
the world to heal you. Now listen, you want to talk
-
about doctors? I can promise you, I have been
-
before more doctors than this entire crowd.
-
Oh, yeah? Oh oh, Now Jesus wasn't an
-
exaggerator and I'm trying not to be either, OK.
-
But when I got the revelation that He sent His word and healed
-
me and delivered me from all my destructions, a light went off.
-
And that light basically told me that I might need to get to know
-
His word when it came to His will on keeping me.
-
Well, right. March 11th.
-
Anybody know what day that is? That's a special day in all of
-
our lives. Pastor Earl's birthday, 2006,
-
Melanie. And I'd come home and, you know,
-
just an evening. I remember where we went to eat
-
his hamburger, had a hamburger. We were just kind of sitting
-
there reclining on the bed. We were watching Andy Griffith.
-
Anybody know Andy? This particular episode was
-
about Aunt Bee's Pickles and how they tasted like kerosene.
-
And we're watching them and we're waiting for the boys to
-
come home. They went and they were doing
-
their thing and, and we knew they'd be coming home pretty
-
soon. It wasn't very late.
-
Melanie looked over at me. She goes, I feel like I'm going
-
to pass out. Well, I got to thinking, well,
-
you're laying on the bed, you know, I mean, you're not going
-
to fall anywhere. Thought it was weird.
-
So pass on out, you know? All of a sudden she began to
-
have difficulty breathing. Her eyes locked wide open and
-
she began to, as the best I can describe it, began to swell
-
before my eyes. Now fun and games is over.
-
Andy Griffith and all that don't matter.
-
Something has hit our house. She was struggling to breathe
-
and the only thing I knew to jump into action was I.
-
I had a scripture come to me in Romans chapter 8.
Romans 8 chapter mention
-
When I was sitting there just looking at her, I just, I could
-
not believe what I was seeing. And in Romans 826 it says like
-
why? The Spirit himself helps our
-
infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought,
-
but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with
-
groanings that cannot be uttered.
-
I remember I looked at her and I put my hands on her so fast and
-
I begin to pray in other tongues and as I I I continue to pray
-
that you know, the Lord reminded me of this verse because you
-
know, I've become a student of the word to know what Jesus and
-
the Holy Spirit was meaning when they gave us the words.
-
The word helpeth. There is the word that means a
-
partnership between you and the Holy Spirit that you come
-
against something to move it out of the way.
-
It's about this long in the original language, but then the
-
next word and you got to get an understanding.
-
This scripture in context is talking about sickness in your
-
body because they said the Spirit Himself helps our
-
infirmities. That word infirmities is the
-
generic word in the Greek for sickness.
-
And so I knew something is up. I put my hands on her and I just
-
began to pray in tongues. I probably didn't pray more than
-
15 seconds, Just pray it. I got on the phone 911.
-
The dispatcher was telling me, tell me what's it, what are you
-
seeing? What's going on?
-
I said it, it seems like she's swelling, that her tongue is
-
swelling. She's having such a hard time
-
breathing. I can't even I, I don't even
-
know what's going on. I have no idea what's going on.
-
She said, just watch, get something and make sure that you
-
keep her airway open. And, and I said her eyes are
-
locked open and, and I, I don't know, I don't know what's going
-
on. She said, just hang on, they're
-
coming. Well, I knew it was going to
-
take them a minute or two to find us because we lived in the
-
country. And as a matter of fact, I heard
-
the ambulance go by two or three times and before they finally
-
made it. But as we're, I'm on the phone
-
with her and and I'm on the phone with her.
-
And all of a sudden Melanie began to blink and I thought she
-
she's back and, and I started asking her questions.
-
I said, honey, can you hear me? And she goes, yes, she goes, but
-
my head, it's my head. And I said, can you feel me
-
touching your arms? And she said yes, but my head.
-
And I said, can you feel me touching your legs?
-
And she goes, no. And she goes and I can't see
-
you. So we finally get the ambulance
-
there. We get her loaded up.
-
We get her to the hospital. The next morning they show me an
-
MRI that she had had an aneurysm rupture behind her right eye on
-
the main artery. I am praying in tongues.
-
She is in ICU, and I'm in there praying in tongues.
-
And I didn't quit praying in tongues.
-
And, you know, we had people from the church wanting to come
-
by and visit, you know, and the only ones that I would let in
-
there were the ones that I knew how to pray in other tongues.
-
Nobody got in except one person and that was her Mama.
-
And I looked her in the eye and I said, I don't want you to say
-
a word. I don't want you crying.
-
I don't want you in there, you know, and, and having any
-
remorse or anything, any, you know, thoughts.
-
I said, you just go in there, you sit in there, you be quiet.
-
And then and then when your turn is over, you come out.
-
And I'd let nobody in there that did not have faith.
-
All right, because this serious now, I mean, we never had
-
nothing like this in our lives happened.
-
Not not anything like that. All right.
-
So as we we continued through this, this particular time, you
-
know, I walked back to my office that next morning because they
-
were doing a changing of the nurses station, walked to the
-
office and it was that we were close enough.
-
My office was real close to the hospital.
-
It was just several blocks away, but not that far. 7:00 in the
-
morning, I get a phone call from a friend of mine and he said,
-
Randy, we heard what happened to Melanie last night.
-
You know, if it was me, I'd take my wife to the Mayo Clinic.
-
And I said, well, bro, couple things.
-
You haven't seen Melanie. And she is wired up like nothing
-
I've ever seen. Got tubes and everything in her.
-
And I said, 1, I don't even know where the Mayo Clinic is and #2
-
how would I get her there if I could?
-
And he says, well, listen, there's a lady in my office that
-
had an aneurysm. Call her.
-
She's waiting on your call now. I called her, I'm praying in
-
tongues. I tell you, all night long, I
-
prayed in tongues. All, all, all the morning
-
walking to the I'm praying in tongues, I'm praying in tongues,
-
I'm praying in tongues. Why?
-
Because it is the Holy Spirit when you don't know how to pray
-
as you ought, it is the lifeline that you have to heaven to be
-
able to give to you the wisdom you're going to need.
-
And I told him, I said, I've got to lay down.
-
I said, I cannot be making decisions that impact her life,
-
even maybe to death without the rest and the different things.
-
And I was just praying for the Holy Spirit to just give me that
-
supernatural rest and ability to make decisions.
-
But I made the phone call. The lady said, Randy, tell me
-
about your wife. I said she had a ruptured brain
-
aneurysm. It is a miracle she did not
-
bleed out. And I said, and she said, well,
-
listen, they she said, what are they saying that they need to
-
do? And I said, well, there's nobody
-
at this hospital can help her. They're thinking they're moving
-
her to Dallas, TX. And they said they said the same
-
thing about me. And I told them, why do you want
-
to send me to Dallas, TX? Because they have teams there
-
that can work. And she said I didn't want to go
-
to Dallas, TX. I told her, if I'm going to get
-
with the team, I'm going to the Mayo Clinic.
-
And she said and, and I said, OK, so you know what happened?
-
She said, well, they told me that I wouldn't be getting in
-
there for six weeks. And she said, but the deal is my
-
my aneurysm. They caught it before it
-
ruptured. She goes, Randy, I got in there
-
in six days. And she says, call this number
-
and see if you can get her in. And I, you know, I don't know
-
nothing, but the Holy Spirit knows everything.
-
I mean, you know what in the world?
-
I make a phone call and they said, oh, that surgeon's in the
-
office, would you like to talk to him?
-
Well, yes, I would. He gets on the phone.
-
He said, Mr. Clay, he said, tell me about your wife.
-
And I said, that's all I know. I said that's what they told me.
-
I seen the pictures. It was, you know, pretty
-
serious. And and, you know, she can't see
-
her, her her legs were gone, you know, not able to use those.
-
I don't know what you know, she's not conscious enough to to
-
tell us anything. And he said you just don't go
-
tell the nurses station. We'll take her today.
-
OK. That's great.
-
How am I going to get her there? Where are you, by the way?
-
Oh. Oh, we're in Rochester, MN.
-
Well, you know, it was kind of like a movie slow MO, you know,
-
they, they do slow MO for effect, right.
-
So coming down the hall is 2 people in flight suits, nurses
-
and, and it was kind of funny because when the doctor came, he
-
goes, your wife's going to the Mayo, your wife's going to the
-
Mayo. The doctor, the surgeon, they
-
couldn't do anything. And he's telling all the girls
-
are buzzing around in the in the the nurses department up there
-
in ICU and they go, she's going to the Mayo, she's going to the
-
Mayo. And I'm sitting there going,
-
yeah, I know. I didn't know I'm I'm going with
-
her. You got that?
-
So we get on a Learjet and we are flying in the middle of the
-
night heading up there. And I could, I, I was looking
-
out the window and I couldn't figure out, I said, why is
-
everything all the same color is pitch black dark and, and I
-
could very well come to find out we're flying in in a snowstorm
-
and we didn't know it. So when we landed, we kind of
-
landed and slid for quite a while.
-
I am like, you know, I'm, I'm watching this plane and I'm
-
feeling it as we're on the ground.
-
We get to the hospital and they said we didn't think you guys
-
were going to make it me either. And they said, they said they
-
shut the airport down an hour ago.
-
That's obvious because whatever they were using to, you know,
-
clean off the runway, somebody wasn't there.
-
And we got in, by the time that we got there, Melanie had got
-
her eyesight back. And listen, I'm praying in
-
tongues in the back of that plane by myself.
-
I'm just praying in the Spirit. By the time we got in there to
-
have the ER look her over, she got her legs back, she got her
-
eyes back, and she was communicating with them.
-
And I just keep praying in tongues.
-
All right, now, I'd already done the research during the day and,
-
and on that plane on what kind of procedure they were hoping to
-
give. And there was only one procedure
-
that I began to pray for, and it was called a coiling.
-
All right, now those of you know what I'm talking about.
-
If you don't know what an aneurysm is, you've got an
-
artery. All of a sudden the artery
-
develops a little spot on it and begins to expand.
-
It expands too much, it ruptures, and you can't get in
-
there quick enough to stop the bleeding.
-
And most people pass away. All right, I believe that her
-
aneurysm stopped when I laid my hands on her.
-
OK, now they were surprised because it was a pretty good
-
size aneurysm, they said. But they have a procedure now.
-
Listen, I don't know who the first person was that they tried
-
this song, but I felt pretty confident after talking to this
-
surgeon that he was going to be able to pull this off.
-
But where they start is it on the inside of your leg and they
-
run a wire, platinum wire thread up through your artery system
-
and goes up into the brain, begins to coil it or put it.
-
And it looked like to me a ball of string inside the aneurysm
-
somehow burn it off and then it grows, the artery grows around
-
it and makes a scar tissue. You never have another problem.
-
Now remember what year I said this was 2006.
-
Stand up baby. Every doctor that has ever
-
looked at her after the fact says you can't even tell it.
-
Now, what's the name of this? It didn't say made halfway whole
-
every time Jesus said he wanted them whole.
-
That was the original plan. You know, I let them know when
-
we were up there. I said, you know, I really
-
appreciate you guys because the Mayo Clinic is like, I mean,
-
they are second to none, all right.
-
And just the way they treat their patients, the way that
-
they, they work with each other, all the different things.
-
They're an educational hospital and they said, you know, the,
-
the thing that they were amazed of is it with the fact that she
-
did not just bleed out. She said, we have it.
-
We have it all the time, but hers didn't.
-
I said, I, I, I think we got an edge because see, I'd let them
-
know. I said, you guys are great
-
service providers. All right.
-
It's kind of like, you know, you got a car and and you know, it's
-
getting up in age a little bit and something goes wrong with
-
it. Is Macy in here tonight?
-
Oh, she's serving. OK.
-
All right. Well, she knows what I'm talking
-
about. OK.
-
And you have And you go to a mechanic to try to fix this,
-
Right. But then if they can't fix it,
-
what do they tell you you're going to need to do?
-
Go back to the dealership, Right.
-
Every now and then, we need to go back to the manufacturer.
-
I told him. I said, you guys are great
-
service providers, but I'm glad I don't have to stop here that
-
if I need to, I can go all the way to the manufacture of the
-
human body. And when we're praying in
-
tongues and we're doing that, I think it, it's just it's, it's
-
so interesting to me that that we have him available to US 24/7
-
and that he'll now they told me, they told me they said it's
-
going to be a 21 day event for you.
-
OK. And I thought, oh man, you know,
-
what am I going to do? I mean, wow, the business, the
-
boys, the everything, you know, I mean, OK, Lord, we got to go
-
and and when we were going up there after that surgery, they
-
did not have to. It was not invasive as far as
-
you know, because other types they actually have to go in
-
through the skull and the different things to go in there
-
to fix those things with her. They did not.
-
And that's what I prayed for. I was in the reflection room
-
praying in the spirit and and they hadn't made a decision they
-
were going to be able to do it yet.
-
I said, Father, I said please let her be a candidate for
-
coiling that there's no intrusion.
-
There's nothing other than that they can get this done.
-
And I just begin to pray in the spirit, pray in the Spirit, pray
-
in the spirit. I get a phone call from the
-
doctor and he says, he said, hey, Mr. Clay, we are in there.
-
We're taking a look. We're going to go ahead and coil
-
that I'll, I'll see you in about an hour.
-
Click. I had questions because I'd read
-
the pamphlet. The pamphlet said that they may
-
stroke in the surgery and we won't know it until she comes
-
back too. So she could lose one side, the
-
other side, you know, she could go totally blind when they got
-
back up in there, you know, the whole bit.
-
So I sat and wait and he comes up.
-
He said it was a total success. I thank the Lord.
-
OK. Then he said.
-
He said, you know, she'll be in recovery about an hour.
-
And I marked my watch. 20 minutes later, the nurse comes
-
in and says your wife would like to see you.
-
Are you sure it's my wife? Because the doctor told me 20
-
minutes ago she'd be about an hour.
-
No, she's back in her room. OK.
-
I go back in there. She's in ICU, and she stops me
-
at the door. The doctor stops.
-
I mean, the nurse drops me at the door and said, Missus Clay,
-
how many fingers am I holding up?
-
She goes 2. How many now?
-
Five, you know, and they did what I call neurological
-
aerobics. They said push down with your
-
hand, push up with your hands and you're getting everything,
-
legs, arms, eyes, perfect. And so, you know, when we we
-
talk about, you know, can God do it?
-
Yes, he can, whatever it is. I mean, he's the manufacturer.
-
Anybody ever bought a weed eater?
-
And how bad and how sad would it be if you bought a weed eater
-
and the manufacturer couldn't fix it?
-
I mean, that that's a poor manufacturer.
-
There is nothing in the human body that God did not design and
-
has an answer to fix it. Did you hear me?
-
It's kind of like pastors, you hearing what I'm saying All
-
right, nothing. There's nothing in your body
-
that he can't repair. And so you know when last week
-
we had prayer line and can I get just give you some help with
-
prayer lines because I've learned a tremendous amount
-
about prayer lines. OK, that the purpose of a prayer
-
line is to allow the person that is doing the praying, such as
-
Pastor Marcy last week, to attach their faith to your faith
-
in obedience to what Jesus said he would do in that situation.
-
Got a scripture? Matthew chapter 18, verse 19 And
-
again I say unto you, Now that's interesting.
-
That must mean Jesus must have said this before, because he did
-
it again, right? That's what it said.
-
And he said unto them, he said, I again I say unto you, that if
-
2 of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they
-
shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father, which is in
-
heaven. The word touching is the word
-
concerning, OK, if 2 of you will, if 2 of you shall
-
concerning anything on earth, I'm sorry, agree on earth as
-
concerning anything that they ask, it will be done there for
-
them and my father, OK. That is a scripture you need to
-
believe when you come down for a prayer line, you need to be
-
thinking about you and that other person coming into
-
agreement at that moment to be able all right to receive what
-
they have. They are going to be pronouncing
-
over your body. Now, Lovett, last week, Pastor
-
Marcy took the time to find out what's Aylandy.
-
All right, now when we when we talk about that, here's the
-
deal. Sometimes we know when the
-
prayer lines are coming just like we did.
-
This one was coming. Did she not tell us?
-
We knew it was coming? OK.
-
Sometimes it by the move of the Spirit.
-
We have people that'll come up here and say we're going to do
-
here a healing line and we didn't, we didn't know about it.
-
So everybody flocks down, they come down.
-
But here's the thing. What are you thinking about when
-
you go down to that prayer line? If you got other things on your
-
mind other than the scriptures of God, you are distracted.
-
All right. I mean, that was one of, you
-
know, one of the things that I, I, I learned, I said, what are
-
people thinking about? You know, and here's the thing,
-
we have some people when they have hands laid on, they fall
-
out. They fall out.
-
OK, but here's the deal. Don't be sitting there thinking,
-
oh, they just fell out. I wonder if I'm going to fall
-
out. What happens if I don't fall
-
out? If you fall out, you're going to
-
fall out. But don't be thinking about
-
falling out. OK?
-
What are you supposed to be thinking about?
-
Does anybody remember Bishop Garraway coming?
-
And, you know, one of the things he said that I, I, I remember of
-
all the things that he said in three days, one thing that he
-
said, he said some people come to the healing line and can't
-
even quote 10 scriptures on healing.
-
You are coming to an healing line on an empty tank.
-
OK, So you need to make sure that you have got those
-
particular things because you are coming really before the
-
court of heaven making a request and somebody is going to agree
-
with you by the laying on hand, laying on the hands and that
-
they're going to be able to pray with you in faith.
-
We don't lay hands on people just because that's the thing we
-
feel we ought to do. Everybody individually that
-
comes up here, you have a need. But here's the thing, and this
-
is what I've noticed a lot of people.
-
Is that the worst and the most dangerous thought that'll try to
-
enter your mind after you've been afraid for and you don't
-
notice a change? As you say to yourself, I guess
-
I didn't get it. I want to tell you where that
-
thought came from. It wasn't from the word of God.
-
It was the devil. It came from the pit of hell.
-
He's trying to get you to doubt what His word says, what the
-
Lord's Word says. Think about those words that I
-
gave you just a minute ago, EAO my, to cure, to mend, to
-
restore, to recover. When you think about those
-
words, that lets me know that in some cases, EAO my can be a
-
process. So when do you want to make up
-
your mind the process begins? I think the saddening thing is
-
the precious believers going from prayer line to prayer line
-
to prayer line to prayer line and never get in their healing.
-
I know why. It's because you violated
-
scripture. James, chapter 1, verses 6
-
through 8. Verse 6 But let him ask in faith
-
nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a
-
wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed.
-
For let not that man think he shall receive anything from the
-
Lord. A double minded man is unstable
-
in all his ways. Did you, did you realize that's
-
the Bible? Did you know the Bible's true
-
and when he tells you that in there, he said for do not let
-
that man think he shall receive anything of the Lord, that
-
you're not going to receive anything from the Lord If you're
-
not asking in faith and you're doubting.
-
That's the key. Doubting will get you to a start
-
over point. And that's why even in my own
-
life, and I'll tell you just bits about it here in a minute,
-
but I let pastor know that when the time came for me to go to
-
healing line, I let him know I said, yes, I move when we moved
-
down here and and and and I'll explain all that in a second.
-
But my thought on healing line is this.
-
If I have hands laid on me and I am in faith and I turn around
-
and leave and I don't feel anything in my body, OK, I have
-
to make a decision. Did I really get it or is my
-
body just telling me something different?
-
So I have to make up my mind. Am I going to believe what the
-
word says or I'm going to believe what my body says?
-
You, you've got to come to that place if you want to see the
-
results that you're looking for. You know, people say, well, you
-
know, you mean I, I shouldn't go.
-
I said, listen, if you believe that you got it all right when
-
you prayed. The question I have to ask is
-
why would you need to go to another prayer line for the same
-
thing? And, and, and Scripture, you
-
know, scripture bears that out as far as let's talk about this
-
for a second. Mark 1124, guys, I don't know if
-
I put that up or not. Mark 11/24.
-
I got a quote. I I got it.
-
Oh, there you go. Awesome.
-
Look at this, this is on the heels of Jesus cursing the fig
-
tree. Remember story he was hungry,
-
saw a fig tree far off. He went over there.
-
There was no fig figs on it. He said no man will eat fruit of
-
you hereafter forever. And it said and the disciples
-
heard it. Next day they come by Peter
-
who's always first to notice things concerning the Kingdom of
-
God says, master, look at the tree that you cursed yesterday.
-
It is dried up from the roots. Jesus says in verse 21, verse
-
22, he says have faith in God. Better translation in the Greek
-
is have the God kind of faith and he begins to tell us what
-
the God kind of faith is. He said, he said, whosoever
-
shall say to this mountain, be thou removed, be cast into the
-
sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that those
-
things that he says shall come to pass.
-
He'll have whatsoever he says. Verse 24 Therefore I say unto
-
you that whatsoever things you desire when you pray, believe
-
that you receive them and you shall have them.
-
Listen to this again. Therefore I say unto you, what
-
things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you
-
receive them and you shall have them.
-
Every time I teach this Scripture, I ask one question
-
according to this verse, What did Jesus say you would have?
-
And you can tell me, Yell it out.
-
Somebody said what you desire. OK, you know what you pray for
-
Makes sense? Not the answer.
-
Listen to it again. Therefore I say unto you, What
-
thing so ever you desire when you pray, believe that you
-
receive them, and you shall have them.
-
The only thing that you are going to receive from God when
-
you pray is what you believed you received at the time you
-
asked. Did you hear me?
-
The only thing that you will receive is what you believed you
-
received at the time of your asking.
-
So what does he tell us in the previous verse before that He
-
said, don't doubt in your heart, but believe that those things
-
that you say shall come to pass. Therefore I say to you, what
-
things so ever you desire when you pray, believe you receive it
-
when when you pray. And he said, and you will have
-
that didn't say you'd have your thoughts of well, I guess I
-
didn't get anything all right back in 2010.
-
It starts a little earlier than that really 2007, you know, we
-
were in Oklahoma and I had an opportunity and I took that
-
opportunity and taught me, taught me a great lesson.
-
I had the opportunity to become offended, and I took that
-
opportunity and I dwelt on that opportunity.
-
And all of a sudden, within just a few months, I noticed a growth
-
beginning to appear in my body. I went to the doctor.
-
The doctor says that's cancer, We can remove it, thought about
-
it, even prayed about it. I said, no, I've been, you know,
-
teaching on healing for 15 years.
-
I said, I believe the Lord is going to heal me, and I passed
-
on surgery. Well, in the midst of that, we
-
get to 2008 and we come down here for an anniversary service
-
and, you know, still got the cancer, really didn't, you know,
-
bother me much and got down here and the Lord start dealing with
-
me about moving here. Well, it's funny because
-
Thanksgiving of 2007, Black Friday, as a matter of fact, I
-
spent the time with the Lord and I usually do that just to hear
-
what I'm missing for the year and what I need to make up
-
before the end of the year and we start a new year.
-
And the Lord spoke to me. He said, Randy, you're not
-
Kingdom minded enough. I thought, OK, what does that
-
mean? You know, and he said, but I
-
want to prepare you because I'm going to increase your teaching
-
ministry. I said, OK, what does that mean?
-
All right, so you know, we get here, you know, for anniversary
-
service, April of 2008 and still carrying the cancer.
-
Lord says, I need you down here. And I said, I'm looking behind
-
me to see if he's talking to somebody else.
-
I said, you got to be kidding me, man.
-
Do you know what I have going on?
-
Lord? You want me to move everything?
-
I mean, come on. Well, Needless to say, we wound
-
up in here a year later. And I think it's interesting
-
because I didn't deal with the offense and the cancer kept
-
growing. But I'm confessing every day.
-
Thank you, Jesus, I'm healed. This cancer can't live in my
-
body. It can't live in my body.
-
You know what? I want to warn you that you
-
know, when we do communion here, pastor will warn us about you
-
know, taking it quote as the scripture tells us unworthily
-
all right, that you will bring condemnation on yourself and it
-
goes on to say it says and because of this, many have are
-
sick among you and many have died early.
-
So he lets us know how important it is to be right when you come
-
to him at communion. Let me tell you, the same thing
-
comes in the realm of healing. You got to be right.
-
OK? I wasn't right.
-
Still had the offense. OK.
-
So the offense kept growing. You know, just how bad it was
-
and how they treated me. And I couldn't believe it.
-
And the cancer kept growing. I get to 2010 OK pastor comes
-
out to the house. I had gained 60 lbs in just
-
water in my legs. Rest of me from here up look
-
great but I was just like sweatpants were the thing of the
-
future because I could not get in regular pants.
-
Had many, many people tell my wife, I think your husband is
-
dying, honey, I can't be dying. I'm I'm believing God.
-
I can't, I can't be dying. I'm believing God.
-
One day pastor brings a whole staff out to the house.
-
Mike, remember this pastor, Mr. Berry, y'all came out to my
-
house. I'm sitting there in a recliner
-
in my office and y'all got all these chairs in here.
-
How you doing? Da da da da da.
-
Pastor asked a question. If it wasn't for this question,
-
I would not be here today, guaranteed.
-
He said, Randy, he said we've done everything that the word
-
said to do. All of a sudden stuff start
-
coming back to me. And he said we've done
-
everything we have. We have, we have prayed for you.
-
We have anointed you with oil. We have called the elders of the
-
church to come pray for you. And you're not getting any
-
better. Is there anything that you can
-
think of as keeping that from happening?
-
And in so many words, I said, yeah, I'm offended.
-
I was offended. Somebody offended me greatly
-
before I moved down here, you know, and I named that person
-
and everybody in the room knew who that was.
-
And Pastor, I'll never forget. He goes, don't you think we need
-
to get that taken care of? I said yes.
-
Every head bowed, every eye closed, and I've repented.
-
I prayed. I asked the Lord to forgive me,
-
violating his word. You know one of his words says
-
this, it's right after that one scripture I just gave you.
-
Therefore I say unto you that you know whatsoever you things
-
you believe you receive, you'll have OK.
-
The next scripture says this. And when you stand praying,
-
forgive, if you have ought against any, that your Father
-
also in heaven may forgive you of your trespasses, you better
-
forgive them in theirs, because if you don't forgive them their
-
trespasses, he's not going to forgive you of your trespasses.
-
So you know what that revelation got to me?
-
All you can confess, all you want to confess you can quote
-
every scripture you want to quote.
-
You can go in every prayer line that comes and lay hands on you
-
until you are bald headed and you will not get healed 'cause
-
you can't be in violation of the word of God when he comes in and
-
and he has the desire to heal you.
-
Finally the day came, I was hurting so bad, excruciating in
-
the middle of my back. I'd be up at night 2-3 in the
-
morning, hot shower trying to get some comfort.
-
Could not find any comfort. One day Melanie said that's it,
-
said I'm not I can't take it anymore, I can't take and seeing
-
you in this kind of pain. So guess where we wound up?
-
The Mayo Clinic. Seems I've been here before but
-
it wasn't that one it was this one here in in Florida after a
-
night in ER and a chewing out by a nurse.
-
I didn't know her from nobody. She come in there and started
-
yelling at me. I wasn't in the mood to be
-
yelled at to be honest with you. But the diagnosis was the cancer
-
in metastasized is now stage 4. It had eaten the T3 in the
-
middle of my back. The cancer completely eaten the
-
front of that vertebrae out. That's where the pain was coming
-
from. It fractured two or three others
-
below that, and yes, we have begun.
-
OK, well, I knew what to do. I didn't watch TVI was in there
-
six weeks. I didn't watch television.
-
I just meditated the Word, Meditated the Word, meditated
-
the word. I knew I'd given God something
-
to work with because He had forgiven me for being a fool and
-
having an offense that should have never had.
-
All right, So now I figured that, you know, we're going to
-
get this right and we're going to, we are going to start
-
making, you know, Scripture part of the life that I needed to,
-
you know, have and combat this and go back to that.
-
Now I think it's interesting because even though, you know, I
-
was in there for six weeks, I started chemotherapy and the
-
chemotherapy basically they said, OK, we're going to give
-
you 5 days of chemotherapy. We're going to do it by the
-
artery in your arm, your vein in your arm and, and you're going
-
to go 5 days and then we're going to give you, you know, 17
-
days off. OK, well, I did so good in the
-
first cycle. They said we're going to do it
-
again immediately. What happened to vacation?
-
I'm thinking I went through 4 cycles of that.
-
All right, now this is what I did and I want to encourage you
-
because remember I said you get 10 scriptures, all right?
-
Can you get 10 scriptures that you can work with?
-
Especially when you're in a prayer line.
-
Don't be thinking about what is going on.
-
Think about Father, I'm coming to you and I am bringing Your
-
Word and I'm going to reason with you and You're going to
-
heal me because of Your Word. So when we got home, I started
-
with this verse, Proverbs 422. It's not up there.
-
Listen carefully because I want you to take these down My son,
-
attend to My words and give ears to My sayings.
-
Let them not depart from thine eyes.
-
Keep them in the midst of thine heart, for they are live to
-
those that find them in health to all their flesh.
-
I took that verse and I wrote it out on an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of
-
cardstock and hung it on the mirror on the dresser in the
-
bedroom. OK Scripture, listen to what he
-
said. Listen to my words.
-
Incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your
-
eyes. That's key.
-
How do you not let the word depart from your eyes?
-
Is that the only way that you can do that?
-
It is got to surround you. So I began writing all these
-
scriptures, the ones I'm give you plus hundreds more, and
-
putting them up everywhere in my bedroom, my bathroom, my office,
-
on on the closet doors line in the closet doors, anywhere that
-
I could get it. Because the first thing I wanted
-
to see when I woke up was the word of God.
-
The last thing I want to see before I went to bed was the
-
word of God. Because what did he say?
-
He sent his word to heal you. OK so you got to get serious
-
about your word intake. I love this verse 22 in Proverbs
-
chapter 420 through 22. Jot this one down.
-
This is what I just gave you verse 20 said for they are live
-
to those that find them what his words and health to all their
-
flesh. The word health there is
-
translated in the Hebrew Medicine.
-
Medicine. Was everybody strung out on
-
medicine? I mean, we got commercials now
-
about medicines that crack me up because the side effects are
-
worse than what I originally had.
-
You got the gut ache, you got diarrhea, you got bad.
-
I wasn't that bad before the medicine showed up.
-
Think about it. But he said the word of God can
-
be medicine to your flesh. Deuteronomy 715.
-
We're going to go through these quickly, OK, All right.
-
Deuteronomy 715 And the Lord will take away from the all
-
sickness, and we'll put none of these diseases of Egypt, which
-
you know upon you, but He will lay them upon those that hate
-
you. God don't hate you, He loves
-
you, but He says He will take away from you the diseases.
-
Now the next thing that I did, in addition to putting all these
-
scriptures, and I'm going to continue giving, I only got a
-
dozen of them I'm going to give you is that I had a dear friend.
-
I love her, love her still. She's sitting right over there.
-
Miss Elizabeth, She took ACD from Kenneth E Hagin, called
-
Healing Scriptures. Healing scriptures.
-
I had asked her. I said, can you type?
-
Yeah, she can type like most adult female women.
-
And she said, yeah, I can type. I said, would you take this and
-
convert this into print? For me, it was page after page
-
after page. I put it in a notebook.
-
Thanks, Elizabeth. You saved my life.
-
And I don't know. We talked about it.
-
I said, did you cut and paste? I mean, that have been easier.
-
And if she didn't, man, that was a lot of typing because there's
-
hundreds, hundreds of scriptures that Kenneth Hagin had.
-
I'd either listen to those C DS every day at night going to
-
sleep. But if I felt I could read, I
-
read those scriptures every night, page after page after
-
page. My wife is my witness Page after
-
page just reading the healing scriptures.
-
Didn't watch TV. It's life and death.
-
OK Psalms one O 3 verse 3 Write it down.
-
Talks about the benefits of being with God.
-
He said Who forgives all thine iniquities and heals all thy
-
diseases. Psalms 130 verse 2 Jot it down.
-
O Lord my God, I cried unto you, and you healed me.
-
Psalms, 3419. Many are the afflictions of the
-
righteous, but the Lord delivers them out of them all.
-
Isaiah 54, Four and five. Surely he has borne our griefs
-
and carried our sorrows. Yet we did a stream, steam him
-
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
-
But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised
-
for our iniquities, and the chastisement of our peace was
-
upon him, and with his stripes we are healed.
-
Jeremiah 3017 jotted down. For I will restore health to
-
you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord.
-
Jeremiah 33. Six.
-
Behold, I will bring health and a cure.
-
I will cure them, and reveal unto them the abundance of peace
-
and truth. Matthew 817.
-
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken to Isaiah.
-
The prophet himself took our infirmities, and bore our
-
sicknesses first. John 5. 1415 And this is the
-
confidence that we have in Him. If we ask anything according to
-
His will, He hears us. And if we know He hears us
-
whatsoever we ask, we know that He we have the petitions that we
-
desire of Him. 3rd John verse 2. Jot it down, beloved.
-
I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health
-
even as your soul prospers. OK, wrap this up.
-
Just want to let you know what the Lord did for me, OK?
-
After all the chemo, went back to the doctor's.
-
The doctor said nothing has changed.
-
In fact, on your tumor markers and everything, you've gotten
-
worse. All of a sudden there was a
-
knock on the door. Man came in, introduced himself
-
to the end as the end of life. Counselor Melanie freaked out a
-
little bit. He gave me his card.
-
I said I appreciate the card. I don't know that I'll be
-
needing to see you anytime soon. You know, everybody's shaking
-
their heads. Poor guy.
-
He's in denial. You know, I'm at that time I was
-
in a wheelchair. I had a body brace on from the
-
waist up because of my back. We're she's pushing me down the
-
hall. I can hear her crying.
-
I said, honey, what are you crying about?
-
She said that was the worst report we gotten since we've
-
been here. I said yeah, I know, I said, but
-
let me tell you how it's going to go.
-
And I quoted because it was in me Psalms 1/18/17.
-
I said I will not die but live and I will declare the works of
-
the Lord. I said, honey, all we have to do
-
is come back to every appointment until their report
-
lines up with our report. Amen.
-
And that's what we did. I went back, you know, they
-
decided that they could do, they wanted to try surgery.
-
They wanted to try surgery. So they took the source tumor,
-
finally took it out. They didn't want to do it in the
-
beginning because I was so swollen.
-
They didn't know what that was going to do.
-
They took the tumor out. It was right after Christmas
-
2010, the 29th of Christmas, they called me and said Randy
-
had to call you. Yeah, I guess you did, doc.
-
I said it's, it's it's 9 O clock and I said, miss your cell
-
phone. He said, yeah, it is.
-
I had to call you. He said pathology came back and
-
gave us a report on that tumor and said there's no living
-
cancer in there. And he said, I want to let you
-
know chemotherapy, don't do that.
-
He said, we don't know what's happened.
-
And I said, well, what about the other two tumors, the one in my
-
back? And I had one between my
-
kidneys. It was causing me problems.
-
He said we'll do a PET scan next week and see.
-
He came back and told me after the PET scan, he said, you are
-
cancer free. Every time I saw somebody up
-
there, they said, did you realize you're cancer free?
-
Yeah. Yeah, I realize that.
-
And if you ask me how, I'll tell you not one person was
-
interested in how. It's OK You know, that place in
-
my back, I didn't get to see a neurologist for eight months
-
after this whole thing started. But I noticed in the midst of
-
that, my back quit hurting. And they said, what's?
-
Cuz you're on drugs, Randy. Anybody ever heard Pastor say
-
that? He he, he was a slobber, an
-
idiot. He said that from the pulpit.
-
Randy was a slobber. Need.
-
That's what drugs will do to you.
-
Well, they didn't know that. I went off them drugs, cold
-
Turkey, oxycodone, Oxycontin, gabapentin, and they had drugged
-
me to die. That's what the whole deal with
-
the end of life counselor was about.
-
They later told me we knew you were going to die between
-
Thanksgiving and Christmas, Ha. So I go see this neurologist,
-
OK? He walks in first question, how
-
old are you? I asked him, how old are you?
-
He said, I'm 35. I looked at my wife.
-
I said, he shaved a day in his life, and this guy's going to do
-
surgery on my back. And I thought that was
-
interesting because he said, well, Mr. Clay, can I ask you a
-
few questions? And I said sure.
-
And he said, did you dress yourself this morning?
-
I looked at my wife and I said, is it that bad?
-
I said that. I said, yes, Sir.
-
I dressed myself. He said, well, I didn't see a
-
wheelchair. I said, no, I'm out of the
-
wheelchair. He said, well, you're not
-
wearing a body brace. You're not.
-
And I go, no, Sir. And he said, well, he said, can
-
you get up and do a few exercises for me?
-
Yeah, yeah, I did them. And he says, does this hurt?
-
You know, he started hitting me right in the back where that
-
that that T3 was. I said no, it doesn't hurt at
-
all. He said, well, I want to show
-
you your MRI. Here's your first one.
-
I knew what it looked like. It's horrible, man.
-
It's gone. He goes, here's your new MRI.
-
He said it's completely grown back.
-
He said we can't believe you're in, not in any pain.
-
And he said your spinal cord is gone, right back into position.
-
And he said, we got to be honest with you.
-
This is nothing less than a miracle.
-
You write that down on that paper.
-
Write that down on that paper, he said.
-
There's no surgery that we could do to make you better than you
-
are. That's 2011.
-
What year is it now? Never had another pain.
-
OK. The thing that we've got to
-
understand is that the Word of God works.
-
If you'll work the Word of God, get your life straight, make a
-
decision. I'm not going to compromise when
-
it comes to the Word of God. Listen, that what I told you was
-
just the tip of an iceberg on the on the things I could tell
-
you about the chemotherapy. I didn't read the fine print
-
says it's going to fail your kidneys, it's going to fail your
-
heart. Yes, I had kidney problems.
-
Yes, my kidneys failed. Yes, I wound up in dialysis.
-
I was there Not one time did I watch television with everybody
-
else watching Gunsmoke Gomer pile.
-
I meditated to word a gun. 40 weeks later, I'm out.
-
My kidneys kicked back in. I didn't have to have surgery.
-
No, no donations of kidneys. Anything.
-
All right. The only thing that happened one
-
time I went in the hospital with a urinary tract infection.
-
All I wanted was an antibiotic. A little relief.
-
Wound up a week later with open heart surgery.
-
Didn't give me time to go home and get my faith going at to
-
full speed. They locked me in that hospital
-
for seven days. But you know what?
-
Psalms 3419 is true. Many are the afflictions of the
-
righteous, but my God delivers them out of them all.
